How Eufy Security works

Getting started with Eufy Security is straightforward. Begin by choosing the bundle you want from Eufy’s website, with options ranging from single indoor cameras and doorbells to systems with up to 12 outdoor cameras. Eufy offers free standard shipping on all orders, which takes five to seven business days.

Eufy’s cameras are simple and quick to install on your own. Packages include everything you need to instantly begin recording 24/7, with many that include a HomeBase with built-in AI and local storage. Since the hard drive manages storage, there’s no monthly video storage fee, unlike other security systems.

All Eufy products have lifetime email support, with higher-tier packages that include three years of 24/7 customer support after purchase. You can opt into a monthly or annual Eufy Plus membership program, accessing an extended warranty and rewards.

Eufy Security equipment

Eufy Security offers a wide range of home-security equipment, with a la carte options and bundles. Its primary product categories are:

  • Indoor cameras: Intelligent cameras that you can place on surfaces, walls or ceilings
  • Outdoor cameras: Weatherproof cameras with color night vision and 360-degree tracking
  • Comprehensive security systems: Camera bundles with self-contained hard-drive storage and an AI engine for subject recognition and response
  • Video doorbells: Doorbells with built-in video cameras
  • Smart locks: Keypads, door handles and locks, some with built-in video capabilities
  • Alarm systems: Motion sensors, sirens and keypads for home security
  • Smart lights: Outdoor lights with motion detection

Eufy cameras and equipment integrate with smart home setups like Alexa and Google Assistant. The robust eufySecurity App, accessible via mobile and web portals, allows you to search and filter stored videos by camera, time, sound, recognized faces and more.

Eufy Security cost

Eufy Security’s indoor cameras begin at $54.99 for a single unit, while some of its comprehensive security system packages exceed $4,000. Eufy periodically offers coupon codes and pop-up sales on its site.

This table gives a brief overview of Eufy equipment costs:

Eufy Plus membership adds $15 monthly or $135 yearly to your total cost, but if your home uses a variety of Eufy equipment — such as doorbells and cameras — the membership discount may be worth it.

Eufy Security installation

The eufySecurity App walks you through the process of syncing your cameras, HomeBase and router. Begin by adding devices to your account via the app. Scan the barcode on your HomeBase and cameras, and press the SYNC button on your cameras to link them with your system. This whole process takes just a couple of minutes.

You can mount Eufy’s indoor and outdoor cameras virtually anywhere — on a wall, ceiling or surface top — with included mounting plates that only require drilling if you want wall or ceiling placement. Most of the connections are wireless. Physical setup takes less than 10 minutes per camera.

Eufy Security warranties and guarantees

Nearly all Eufy Security products include a warranty that ranges from 12 to 36 months, depending on the equipment. Annual Eufy Plus membership extends your warranty by six months. You can submit warranty requests on the Eufy website.

If you'd like to return your security equipment, all Eufy products include a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Eufy Security FAQ

Where is Eufy Security available?

All Eufy Security products are available throughout the U.S., and most of the security equipment can be purchased and used anywhere. However, some new items might only be available for purchase in the U.S.

How do I cancel Eufy Security?

Since Eufy doesn’t operate on a subscription basis, you don’t need to cancel anything. You can simply stop using the products. If you purchased your equipment within the last 30 days, you can return it without hassle.

Does Eufy Security require a contract?

No, Eufy doesn’t require a monthly subscription. Unlike some other security systems, which require a monthly subscription for storage, Eufy is a one-time purchase. The devices and HomeBases include self-contained storage that you can manage onsite.

Does Eufy Security still work if my internet goes down?

Yes, as long as you still have power, Eufy Security devices still record and store video even if your internet goes down. However, a lack of Wi-Fi will prevent your system from sending push notifications and remote video to your device.

Still have questions?

Is Eufy Security worth it?

Yes, Eufy Security is an excellent choice for anyone seeking an interconnected, intelligent home security system, whether you want to protect the inside, outside or entryway of your property. Its budget-friendly, a la carte cameras are a cost-effective choice for a small area, while the multicamera bundles offer detailed resolution and excellent coverage — if you don’t mind spending a bit more.

Eufy’s quick setup, lack of monthly subscription fee and minimal installation requirements also make it a great option for renters or people who plan to move in the future.

    Reviewed July 17, 2026

I bought the Eufy X10 Pro Omni for $1,299 CAD specifically because it's marketed as "Designed for Homes with Pets" with an "Auto-Detangling Roller Brush." In reality, I have to pull the brush apart and cut my dog's hair out with scissors every single week - the opposite of what's advertised. Worse, the wheel is now permanently jammed with hair with zero way to access or clear it myself.

I've been going back and forth with Eufy support for weeks. Their "solutions" is: a video on how to clean it more often, a $50 accessory pack, and a 10% discount to go buy a different, more expensive Eufy model to fix a problem with the one I already paid for. Not once has anyone addressed the stuck wheel. If you have pets and are considering this model, know that "auto-detangling" means you'll be doing it yourself, weekly, with scissors — and if a mechanical part fails, don't expect Eufy to stand behind it. We've always used Dyson for pet hair and never had this problem. Should've stuck with what works. Photos of the stuck wheel and the hair pulled out of the brush attached below.
