I have used a Dyson ball vacuum for over 10 years. My first vacuum lasted approximately 6 years, I am now on my second. The cleaner head broke 3/22, easily replaced. Cleaner head stopped spinning again 3 weeks ago. It is impossible to talk or chat with a live service representative. They use a horrible automated system that sends parts. The parts did not work. The vacuum is under warranty, but seemingly impossible to fix. My next vacuum will NOT be a Dyson.

I've owned an Dyson upright and Dyson Stick 7, 8, 11, and the newest one which is the 15 Absolute. Their warranty is amazing and their vacuums are just as amazing. I have 1/2 carpet, 1/2 hardwoods and my house is 3300 sq feet. With the 11 and 15 stick vac, I can vacuum entire house. The battery time last up to an hour unless you use the boost feature which literally will pull the dust up from under your carpet but does cut into vacuum time. I could be never go back to a corded vac after being spoiled with these stick vacs. The 15 absolute actually has a roller with a Laser light to spot dirt. The dirt is highlighted and spots everything. The new roller with laser light for hard flooring surfaces has been a game-changer for me. While you will pay more for a Dyson, it's worth every penny.

I purchased a Dyson upright vacuum in 2013. Today I could not release the hose for cleaning the stairs and I called Dyson for help. The response from the rep was that this vacuum is no longer supported by Dyson and the rep could not give me any suggestions to help fix the problems. So what good is it if Dyson makes an excellent long lasting vacuum? You cannot get any support when the machine grows older. I am very disappointed.

Short battery life in middle speed and turbo may last less than 5 minutes. Air cleaner takes 3 days to dry not like company says 24hrs. Just does not perform as advertised and the chance of getting a return phone call or email is zero. It has been over 45 days and I have emailed 3 times and NO Contact.

In December I purchased 4 items from Dyson Online totaling over $1200. The items sent to me were defective, not as described, missing parts and even worse left in the rain by the carrier. When I engaged customer support I was tossed around for weeks to get help, refunds or returns. I engaged the corporate office, the executive team and even Dyson support with no resolve. I was given tons of excuses for long delays on helping me, no offers to return products for money back or discounts or even options.

For what I was given the provider Dyson never provided correct refunds, or good service. In many conversations with the resolution specialist, they would tell me because my items were discounted that they can't go further on pricing because their retailers have special pricing and it would anger them, as if it was something I was buying when instead it was defective, missing parts, not as described, damaged and worse not working. When asking for refunds or returns they are beyond difficult. They have received items back from me however took weeks to give a refund after asking for it on only one item, then the refund was wrong, and still pending.

I still have broken items, no resolve, no calls back. They offered one refund well below what it should be for all the damage, missing pieces and terrible service. I engaged them in Dec and it's not Jan with no resolve, broken items, missing parts, no refunds and people in the executive team who don't reply, call back or help. In some cases, they even just ignore you then blame it on technology or backlog. Companies 5x the size have executives talk to customers. I am working with all parts of complaints to make sure Dyson doesn't do this to other customers. I do not recommend their products, their services and you will not get help from customer service, their executive team and you're just a number. I will never buy or work with Dyson again.

Bought a Dyson V11 Torque Drive about two years ago. Taken very good care to clean and properly use the vacuum. The canister and filters are cleaned regularly, driveshaft and cleaner head are clear of debris. Suddenly, the vacuum stopped working just as I was using it today to clean the carpet in my home which was not that dirty! I contacted customer service for help and they walked me through several steps to troubleshoot that I had already done to ensure the vacuum was working properly. Did not listen to anything I was saying and was treated like just another number.

Finally was notified that I was going to have to spend more money to find out what is wrong with my Dyson v11. Then would have to pay for repair and labor to have the vacuum working again. All because I had just passed the two-year mark and am no longer able to be considered for warranty. Customer service is no help! Then asked to speak with the supervisor just to be reminded that the warranty has expired. I spend $650 on a vacuum just to have it completely break just after the warranty expires! Dyson is a company that makes products to break and designs their vacuums to fail just after the warranty expires so that they do not have to be liable for repairs and will be able to make extra money on new parts and technician fees that are charged to the customer.

I will never buy a Dyson vacuum again and will be sure to discourage anyone who is considering one to purchase another vacuum. It is outrageous and unacceptable for a company to advertise superior products which only break just after the warranty and charge customers a price such as the ones that Dyson does. Dyson needs to be investigated for scamming customers and needs its manufacturing audited for cutting corners on product integrity and quality of the product. I demand a full $650 refund of my product and expect nothing less since repairing a product is too much for them to accommodate.

Purchased a Ball Animal 3 and it was non functional on arrival. I watched YouTube videos and reread the manual to make certain I had everything correctly assembled before calling support. Upon talking to support, they walked me through the manual again, then sent me a YouTube video of how to troubleshoot the Animal 2, which has a completely different brush head. When I mentioned that the rep got snippy with me and told me it was the same. It's not.

After going through the steps they determined the device was defective and were going to initiate an exchange. I asked to talk to a more knowledge service person and they refused. The return label they sent did not include pickup service from UPS, and there's no dropoff within 30 minutes of where I live. Now I've got to spend my own time and money to take care of their issue. $500 to be treated like a courier for Dyson. Nope.

My mother has a stick Dyson vac. I have to take it apart every two month to try to clean all the stuff out of it. I ordered her a new head for it but asked before ordering if this unit was not correct could it be returned without shipping fees. They said there would be no fees and emailed me a copy of this chat. Then got the head and it was not what was required so I emailed again and the their employee assured me there would be no charge to return just print label and leave for carrier. I did that then nightmare started.

I waited two weeks and nothing not even confirming they picked up the item. Called them and they had no record of the return. Then spent three days on their chat line with people located in some other country. Had to sent them a pic of the guy picking it up. After three weeks they found the item had been returned but could not post my return for four more weeks. After multiple contacts they posted my return in full as they said. Checked and the company despite telling me no charged do so anyway and kept the cash. Then spent hours on the chat line and sent them the documents which stated there would be no charges from Dyson and they said, "Oh well we are going to charge you anyway because that is our policy."

So I am on the phone with someone from Honduras for an hour who is working from home and can not contact a manager to speak with. Poor guy sounds nice but what terrible service. Stay away from his company. Their products are higher priced items with less than good results based on the breakdowns we have had and poor customer service is an understatement. Get something else with less hassle.

I bought a V8 Absolute and when the bin was under half full and I stood it upright the dirt just fell straight back out. The flap that's meant to keep it in is too small.

Dyson sent me a new bin and of course the dirt fell out again. The machine itself is only 4 months old and now Dyson want me to send the whole machine back for a service. To me that would be a complete waste of time I don't have, the fault is in the design. The v8 absolute is a waste of money and I think I've had by Dyson. They also offered me a new much more expensive machine with a discount, but no refund on the $600 machine I bought only 4 months earlier. I'm quite disgusted with their tactics. I will be posting similar reviews on every site I can find to warn people about Dyson. Buyer beware.

Ordered an in-stock replacement part, which after 2 weeks, still hasn't shipped. The status is "waiting". Contacted customer service via email...no response. Called & spoke with a rep who said he would cancel the order & send me an email when it was done... No email ever came. I called again... They said it was showing as cancelled & they'd send me the confirmation in an email.... The email never arrived. Chatted with them today, more of the same. They told me that the charge to my account didn't go thru because it hadn't shipped, but it did. I then had to call them back to request my refund and had to ask them to put thru the credit to my bank. They then agreed to but told me it would take 7-10 days to process. This is just all ridiculous and complete waste of my time.

After multiple failed attempts trying to return my Dyson, I began to realize that this company seemed to prioritize acquiring new customers over supporting their existing ones. Their online forms were faulty, and their customer service channels had technical issues. Even when I did finally get in touch with a representative, they claimed that their system was not working properly.

I spent a fortune on a fancy Dyson. The bristles on the roller bar got worn. It should be no big deal to order a new one, right? WRONG. Dyson no longer makes the part and now wants me to buy a whole new motor assembly to fit the new part. NEVER BUYING ANOTHER DYSON PRODUCT. My next will be a Shark.

The customer service at Dyson is horrible. I previously purchased the TP09 for a client in May, they had an issue and I had to call into customer service so they could use the warranty. The customer service rep at the time informed me that I ordered the product incorrectly and I should have ordered it as a gift through customer service so my client could register it.

I kept this in mind when purchasing another TP09 for an out of state client. I called the customer service # (866) 664-9004 on 9/29/2022. It took 3 mins for the rep to get my name and address. I let her know that I had a meeting in 15 minutes and implied that should be sufficient time to place my order. I also asked for a domestic representative because I could tell it was going to take a while with her. She advised me no domestic representative was available but she would get the item ordered in the requested 15 mins. 23 minutes later the product was still not ordered, she had to keep placing me on hold. I had to disconnect to attend a previously scheduled client meeting. While she was polite, it should not take over 20 mins to place an order for one item.

I called back the next day (9/30/2022), after this rep couldn't find my account after 5 mins I asked for a supervisor. After holding for about 20 mins she said a supervisor wasn't available, she took my phone # and said a supervisor would call me back. That was 5 days ago and I still haven't received a call back. After being thoroughly frustrated with calling customer service, spending over 40 minutes between both calls and the TP09 still not ordered I decided to try the Dyson Chat option. I thought this would be a much better option. The rep was responsive, I was very clear that I was ordering the product as a gift, provided both the mailing address and billing address and it was all wrapped up fairly quickly. I then received an email advising that my client cannot register the product as it will void the warranty. This doesn't make any sense as I was very clear from the beginning that it was being ordered as a gift. Thoroughly frustrated.

This product is very disappointing, start with the cordless part, it runs for approximately 30 seconds then stops you have to put back on charging bay for about 5 seconds and then use vacuum? Talk to customer service and they know it’s a battery problem but they have none in stock and won’t have for about 5-6 weeks!! Well it’s been 8 now and still I have no vacuum working and no replacement battery? With the only compensation from customer service is “you can buy a different one”. ?? So when they say “Dyson sucks” they are not talking about the vacuum they are talking about the product and the lack of service

The product is not bad, we ditched a very good MieIe to switch to Dyson, and it took my wife some time because she loved her previous machine. I contacted your Dyson Support, where they tell me to ship my vacuum cleaner to UPS and then they tell me to go one hour from my house to check it out. But ... what do I clean the house with in the meantime? I asked to replace it and they replied ... NO ETA "No Estimated time of arrival". But on Dyson website there are vacuum cleaners like mine ready to be delivered in 6 - 7 days! Really upset it's incredible, and I spent over $ 1,000!

I loved all of my Dyson products until... I purchased a part for my Dyson stick vac that was on their website for $63.99. When I got my receipt for the purchase I was charged $151.58 with a fake $66 discount that was never applied. About an hour later the husband informed me I ordered the wrong part. According to the Dyson website they do not cancel or change orders so I had to order the correct part and wait for the wrong part to be delivered and return it. On May 20th I received the incorrect part and started the return process. Dyson gave me a reference number to give to the UPS store for the label info. On May 29th I sent off the wrong part to Dyson from the UPS store and awaited my refund of $151.58.

On June 14th I noticed that I had not received my refund yet so I checked the tracking # and it had been delivered to the Dyson dock on June 6th at 9:21am. after many many conversations with Customer Service who told me it was still pending I finally received an email from a Resolution Specialist on July 7th stating that they didn't know where the package was (in other words...they lost it after it was delivered to them) and Dyson would not be refunding me my money! WHAT!!! ARE YOU KIDDING!! I DIDN'T LOSE THE PACKAGE, DYSON DID!!! So I contacted my friendly bank and started a dispute against the charge to my account. The bank promptly refunded me the $151.58. Last I heard it was handed over to Visa and they are going after Dyson for the charge and Dyson is refusing to pay because THEY LOST THE PACKAGE! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND WILL NEVER BE BUYING A DYSON PRODUCT AGAIN.

6 months ago, I bought the DYSON CYCLONE V10 ABSOLUTE CORDLESS vacuum cleaner. It is expensive, looks and feels good... But PERFORMANCE WISE the worst of all.... I paid almost $600 for mine and it last 10-15 min on continuing vacuuming, then it needs to charge for at least 8 hours... It is very inefficient. I live in a small apartment, and I thought it would be perfect for my needs.... WRONG!!! This product and other VCleaners from this house should not even be sold... Perhaps it will be enough to vacuum the inside of your vehicle, but not for more. STAY AWAY... IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!!!

The beater bar broke after 1 year of moderate, normal vacuuming. Couldn't get a replacement part, spent literally months fighting with customer service. Will never buy another Dyson. This is the 2nd machine I've had, and the exact same thing happened to the first one.

Six months ago I bought the v10 vacuum. It looks great, it felt great but then the garbage tank button stopped working. After reading few reviews I learned that this is a common problem, worst, there’s no one to talk to. I spoke with the company and then again, similar to other complaints, the only solution is to wait 6 weeks for new parts. The company doesn’t take responsibility and wasn’t willing to address my problem. I will never buy Dyson again.

This was our second Dyson (the first lasted for many years and was great). The V8 was a replacement for the older V6. We put it together, used it, and then tried to empty the dust bin. The dust bin would not open. We called customer service and after a lengthy call, they told us that we would be getting a new dust bin assembly (not a new machine). We were also told that they would not publish our negative review but someone would contact us to see if there was a better solution. That never happened.

After two weeks we got an email that the dust bin assembly would not arrive for another 14 weeks (that's a total of four months without a working vacuum that we already paid for). The return period ends in thirty days so we sent it back. Now we have to wait for a refund for six to eight weeks! Needless to say, we are very disappointed in the lack of Dyson customer service. It's a shame since we will never buy a Dyson product again.

Bought a Dyson V10 vacuum a couple years back. Battery had to be replaced right before the warranty ran out. I’ve had a new battery installed for just a touch over a year and it was fully charged when I started vacuuming on the main power setting. The vacuum cut off and would not start back. It won’t take a charge so Dyson wants me to buy a new battery. This vacuum is only used once per week for about five minutes. I’m a combat veteran with a heart condition and can’t lift heavy weights anymore so I loved the vacuum for its size. But I just can’t see myself buying a $130 battery every year for this machine. And by the way their customer service is horrible. This machine still looks brand new like it’s never been used. I will try my best to find a replacement around the same weight and power specifications so if anyone wants this V10 Just let me know minus the battery. It’s free. I strongly urge you to shop other brands.

I purchased the vacuum a little over 3 years ago and when it works it's adequate, but it breaks down all the time. You have to constantly clean it, the pieces are fragile and break when you do clean it and the battery died/needed to be replaced twice. This was an expensive vacuum, I've spent hours on the phone with their customer service and I had nothing but problems with it. It's now out of warranty and they want me to pay for repairs. In contrast, my previous vacuum was 1/4 the price, lasted 15 years without incident and I never had to clean it. Don't get suckered in by this company, I will think long and hard before I buy another Dyson product.

I ordered a V8 Dyson stick vacuum on March 9 online from Dyson. When it came the battery was so old that it wouldn't accept a charge. Before today, I have phoned twice to get a replacement battery, I still don't have one. I phoned today and was told that it will take 10 to 14 days to process the order, then another 10 to 14 days to be delivered, in other words it might take up to 28 days from today to receive a replacement battery. I find this unacceptable, if the battery does arrive, it will be about 2 months since my original order was placed. I think that Dyson could do better than this, especially when their products are so expensive.

Send back the items. They confirmed they got it. Told me to wait two billing cycles to see the refund. Didn’t get the money back. Called the bank to do a chargeback. They told me the chargeback window is two billing cycles and that they always have this issue with Dyson. It’s been 4 months and did not get any $750 back. Very scammy. Will not order anything else from them ever.

The display didn’t work and the humidity level didn’t go above 34%. I ordered a replacement and decided to cancel because of the poor performance. When I canceled the order I was never reimbursed. Customer service is no help and will give you the run around. Total scam and I will be seeking further action. Do not purchase from Dyson.

I purchased a Dyson V15 for 7498.99 online. I received the free gift but not the machine. I waited a couple of more days and still no machine. I contacted Dyson and was informed that my order had been cancelled because my payment did not go through, and was advised to replace the order over the phone. I received the Dyson a few days later.

Two weeks pass and I received an email stating that my Dyson was being prepared for shipping. I contacted Dyson to inform them that I did not order a second machine and was told that the order would be cancelled and my card would not be charged. The following day, I received an email stating my Dyson had been shipped. I called Dyson again and was informed that the item had already shipped and there was nothing they could do.

I called UPS and had the item diverted back to Dyson. I received an email from Dyson stating they received the machine, and I should expect a refund in 10-21 business days. I did not receive the refund, so I called Dyson and was told that I was not owed a refund because they only billed me once. I emailed them a copy of my statement with both charges on my card, but I am still waiting for a refund and wound up having to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge. Customer service is incompetent. You have to wait quite a long time to speak to a person with little to no results. The Dyson V15 is overrated and definitely not worth the price. A Sharp or Bizzel will do the same job at a much lower cost.

I purchased the V11 vacuum approximately May of 2018. It has been satisfactory until September of 1921. There are only two people in our residence, no pets and the vacuum is normally only used once every two weeks. In total I can say that the vacuum has been used less than 100 times with an average run time of 45 minutes or less. In September of 2021 the trigger stopped working. I called Dyson on September 9, 2021 and was advised that it could not be repaired but for $120 I could purchase a new part which should be received in 5 to 7 business days. I ordered the part. Having received no communication from them I called Dyson again on October 8, 2021. During that call I was told that it would be one to two more weeks.

On February 10, 2022 I received an Email from Dyson saying that my order had been cancelled and advising me to take it to one of their repair shops. There are no repair shops near me in San Diego and I was previously advised that it could not be repaired. On February 18, 2022 after a long online chat with a Dyson representative I was advised that it would be in stock in three to four weeks. There has never been any communication to me initiated by Dyson regarding my order except for the cancellation. I certainly do not trust that the part will be available in three to four weeks. Dyson just lost my and some of my friends' business. We purchased a DreameTech Vacuum for about half the price and after 5 months it has been very satisfactory.

We are a little rough on things, lots of pets, candy wrappers, lint sheets from dryer, small wood chips from dog playing in the bark etc. If this is you don't get a Dyson - period. Our cleaning lady, our neighbors, and about ten different people Dyson owns and other high end vacuum owners told us to go buy a crappy $60.00 vacuum at Walmart, beat the crap out of it and get a new one every year when it comes off warranty. When our first Dyson stopped working, my wife bought a new one at Costco against everyone's warning. Our old had broken, I took it apart as per the YouTube videos, looked everywhere possible that there could be a blockage put it back together and it still wasn't working. Very cool design, and if you have a very light cleaning issue with no pets, no kids, and no dirt go get a Dyson. If you are like our house, go get the "pet rated" vacuum at Walmart for $60.00 run it hard and plan on getting a new one every year.

Bought the machine straight from Dyson including the dock, and accessories and received it Jan 27. It’s a good thing I only waited 2 days to set it up. I had to charge the vacuum fully before first use so it was only on the 30th that I got to use it the first time. 30 seconds after using the vacuum on hardwood floor, an error message appeared on the machine to clean my air filter. Checked the filter and all the attachments but found no blockage or debris. Searched online and noticed that this has been an ongoing issue. Used live chat and they suggested different things to try - plugging it back to the stand, pressing buttons simultaneously, removing the filter, removing the battery. It would run for a minute just fine. However, the error message keeps coming back.

I find the Dyson cordless vacuum to be excellent other than very difficult to empty. Instructions tell you to push on a button to remove the stick from the cylinder, however, this is very hard to accomplish. More times than not, I've had to bring it back to where I purchased it and let them empty it. They struggle with it as well. The additional tools for vacuuming along the baseboard are also hard to attach plus very awkward to use.
