I have been so disappointed with Dimension One hot tub we purchased a little over 3 years ago. There has been issues with the exterior lighting that they could never fix. Then the design for the hot tub cover holding bar was terrible. The piece put way to much weight on the panel so of course it cracked and broke. Multiple panels on the hot tub exterior have cracked or split for no apparent reason. The hot tub cover stitching is coming undone and one of the handles broke. Then when I ask my dealer about it they said either that stuff was not covered under warranty or the warranty had expired. So in other words seems like Dimension One builds a product that does not last so be aware. The crazy part is that we really take care of this hot tub. We are a married couple in our 50s that use it just to relax not as a party tub. Very disappointed with Dimension One and would not recommend or buy another spa from them.

I loved my D1 Amore Bay and recommended it others until today. Yes it was expensive, but I figured it was a 5 year warranty, and no problem with my previous D1, I was safe. Today it was told I have over $1700 in repairs it needs and it appeared to have calcium build up, so it would not be covered by the warranty. They said I probably did not have the chemicals adjusted correctly. I have followed the recommended maintenance to the letter. Water changes every 6 months since I use the Vision cartridges, test and adjust chemicals weekly, add 3-4 capfuls of oxidizing shock weekly, cleaned filters weekly, I have paid to change the Ultrapure system on schedule, and fill with tap water not soft water. Now a light seal failed, which they said was common and that was covered under warranty. But, they said I need to replace the circulation pump, heater, and right side pump that would not be covered under the warranty. 2nd D1, never again!!!!!

I live in upstate New York. Most years we run our spa the entire year. The Dimension One Dream was purchased in 2005. In 2025, we had our first problem. The circulation pump on the ozonator failed. This pump with the ozonator was an add-on by the dealer at the time of purchase. The replacement was easy and took about 30 minutes to replace. I’d say that that’s pretty good for twenty years. The spa looks and functions like new.

I ha a D1 Chairman 2 spa for 15 years and it was great. I replaced it with a D1 Nautilus 6 years ago. I really enjoyed the spa however soon after the 5 year warranty expired it started to leak. The repair guy recommended by my dealer told me that he could try to fix it but that would cost over $1k and have a 50% chance of success and a 50% chance of ruining the hot tub. Now the leak is so bad it has become unusable. A $12k hot tub should last longer than 5 years. My dealer told me they no longer sell D1 due widespread leak issues. It is really sad because they used to make good hot tubs.

Don't count on great service. Our tub has leaked since day one. It took them 3 tries to get the NEW tub to not leak and I had to pay for a service call. We live an hour away from the dealer. It takes them 3 weeks from when they are called to get to our location.

I purchased a Dimension One hot tub with a lifetime Ultra Life shell warranty. It has had a slow leak for many years. It was so slow that I thought it may be dripping from the cover, although it was always at only one end of the hot tub. Several years ago the leak started in get worse. I have had four hot tub repairmen try to fix the leak. Two of the repairmen were from D-1 authorized dealers. At least two of the repairmen told me that the wall in that area of the tub was the thinnest they had ever seen and that there may be micro cracks in the wall. The wall in that area is as thin as a dime. They did find a crack in the hole where the light housing goes. None were able to fix the leak.
Although the D-1 company says the leak is fixable they will not make the D-1 retail dealers who I paid to fix the leak come back out and work on the tub until it is no longer leaking. The company won't replace the liner because says it is too old but it has a lifetime warranty. I asked them what the specification is for the tub wall thickness in that area should be but they will not answer the question. I have spent over $2500.00 in repairs and the leak is not fixed. D-1 should replace the liner the under warranty at no cost to me. I have paid enough and have not had use of the tub for three years. The tub looks almost like new. It has been indoors from the day I bought it.

We have had a Chairman ll since 2004 and find it excellent. We finf the Dimension One Vision Cartridge brilliant at maintaining water quality with minimal effort On the odd occasion we have had a problem we get very prompt and efficient service from Affinity Spas in Evesham. They will also supply filters etc if you need them.

I now have a leak and it is virtually impossible to get the parts I need to fix it. I would never buy an American made product again without the local support to provide warranty and maintenance. Dimension One make no effort to support customers outside of the US and Canada so cannot recommend the company even though the hot tub is great and has been working for almost 20 years.

Overall I am pleased with the hot tub function, but the LED light bezels are falling off, and the neck pillows don't hold up. it would never connect to any router, and I can't get a return call or email from them to fix this issue.

It has been frustrating since we purchased the spa. Wiring for the electrician was difficult to get to, and an additional $1500 to wire that I did not realize I had to do. Distributors of this product do not give any instructions at delivery. They order it, and drop it at your home and leave. Let you know that the manual is behind the panel, tell you to get your electrical done, fill it and you should be good to go. But if not, a service call to show you how to use and set up is another $185. So DO NOT buy unless you already have experience with a spa, because you will not get any help. Very poor design to get to the motor, pump and hoses. You have to take the front panel off, which is very difficult to put back on.
Another really bad aspect is, if it is hot outside the water will heat to over 107 and you can't ever use the spa during the summer. We set the temp to 58 degree and it did not matter. I was told that due to the installation and that there is no cooling system, that if it is hot outside the spa will heat to very hot, just leave the lid off to help or continue to drain out the hot water and cool down with the hose by adding cold water. This spa is also very hard to step down into because there is no level spot with the way that the seats are arranged. This makes it very easy to slip and fall, so be careful This is our 1st spa to buy and I would never buy another. This has been a nightmare of an experience, that I wish I had never done.

Well after phone calls and 4 months we still have not had a resolution in our hot tub being fixed. We found out that the Dimension One logo in our hot tub was installed wrong when we purchased the hot tub and for 10 years when we asked about why when we filled the hot tub it would drop down below the logo that it was normal. Find out that the water was seeping thru these holes and have completely rotted our hot tub away. Dimension One so far at customer service response is, "Sorry. Out of warranty. Not our problem." Now we have a non functioning hot tub and no one to repair as the repair guy won't come fix it!!! DO NOT BUY Dimension One. They don't stand behind their product and won't make it right with our hot tub!!!

I look forward to buying the Sarena Bay spa in the future as it’s state of the art and new. The problem I have is my 1993 Spa is still working! I live in Canada and bought it when I was in the Military and it has moved to 8 different locations in Canada and still works great. At 25 years I have of course changed out a few things over time; like 3 covers, 1 pump, air billows and a few jets but that is it. I am definitely extremely happy with my purchase long ago and all my friends and family can’t believe it is still running! WELL DONE D1.

I purchased the Dimension One Journey Spa in August 2016. I have followed the suggested maintenance program consistently. I have turn the spa off only when changing the water since I have owned it. Myself and my wife especially love to use the year round but in January I discovered a loss of water and a leak somewhere in the plumbing, I’ve had to add water every 3-4 days. I contacted the place I purchased the Spa and they referred me to a service company that has sent a repairman out twice to diagnose the problem. The last visit was 1 month ago. He said he had to order the parts and since then he no longer works for the repair company.
The parts were due in last week according to the repair company. I reached out again to see when they would be out and still no answer. I also tried to contact Dimension One via phone and internet and never got a response. I think that I made a huge mistake deciding on Dimension One. I should have gone with the Jacuzzi brand equivalent that I considered in the first place. If I don't hear from the repair company soon then I'm going to take legal action.

I bought my Amore Bay spa used. It was a couple of years old when I got it and had it professionally moved to my house for $500.. I now have had it for three years and it is wonderful spa. I had to replace the motherboard and was easy repair for me. I keep the two filters clean (once a week remove and flush with sprayer hose). I don't like chemicals like chlorine or acid. I researched and found Clarity Waters (look them up in San Diego CA., (the owner will tell you all you need to know)!! Incredible find, make sure you research because I believe when use harsh chemicals it breaks down the components in the spa quicker. I use a potassium shock. I buy it on eBay, "In The Swim" SPP. It's the best price I found. Good luck and happy Spa-ing.

I bought my Wayfarer in 2008 and for five years at that house it ran 24/7, except of course when I drained it periodically per the maintenance schedule. The only problem I had in all that time was the connection inside the filter chamber to which the black filter lock thing attaches. It was quickly replaced under warranty and has not been a problem since. After five years there, we moved to a rental house in a better school district while we looked for a permanent home. We paid to have the hot tub moved and installed there, then six months later we moved to our new home where we again paid to have it moved. Through both moves it continued to operate normally.
After living here for 3 1/2 years we finally had our first problem. The hot tub would intermittently stop heating and display the '32' error message. As winter turned to spring, it was heating less and less and soon started turning the pump on and off over and over. We paid to have the thermostat replaced and the problem went away... for a little bit. Within two weeks it once again was struggling to heat. Summer was upon us by now so we decided to drain the hot tub and revisit it closer to fall.
This November brought a sudden temperature drop and we were missing our hot tub time. I called a hot tub shop and they told me the lower control pack had to be replaced. I ordered a new pack from Easy Spa Parts and the swap was no big deal. It took about 1.5 hours and I started filling the hot tub. Everything checked out and we're back in business!
One of the best things about this hot tub is that the shell does not stain very easily. Leaves, dirt, and so forth always manages to sneak under the cover. When we drain it for the summer it inevitably fills with dust, dirt, bugs, snails, and other... things. All I have to do is hose it out and scrub it down with a 3M sponge and it's back to new again.
The only real negative thing I'd say about the hot tub is really not D1's fault. This model came out right before the Virginia Graeme Baker Act, and as a result the Pentair-style suction drain covers could no longer be manufactured by law. Now three of the drain covers are partially broken and one is missing entirely. D1 did not manufacture a replacement for these covers and future models have a cover that is about 1/2" smaller. If you want to get those old ones covered back up you have to hope that someone in another country sells them or jury-rig the new models onto the old mounts.
My experience with this hot tub has been overwhelmingly positive. As long as you take care of it just a little bit it will still work and look like new for a long time. As I've found, replacing most parts is not too hard if you've got some handyman chops. Now that I've replaced the lower control pack and the headrests it not only works like new but looks great. Maybe not a literally brand new one, but for an almost 11-year-old hot tub it can't be beat. I'm sure it's going to keep working for another 11 years at least.
The best part of our D1 that the hot tub has become the place where we solve all the problems of the world. The heat, the relaxation, the sound of the bubbles, it all makes the gears turn. I can't imagine not having a hot tub in our backyard and I feel sorry for people with inferior ones. I see so many others with rotting hulks decaying in their backyard, all wishing they could be using it. I've never worried about that with our D1.

This is my second Dimension One hot tub in 18 years, it's always winterized and meticulously maintained. Had problems with leaks, motherboard and finally heater all last summer. Ordered and paid for a new one last August, apparently my hot tub needs a Fast Flo heater and none were in stock. I waited, was constantly told, "Any day now." Finally had the hot tub winterized in November. I started calling in March again and was told still on back order-it's now mid May. Called the manufacturer, left messages-NO RESPONSE. Jacuzzi apparently owns Dimension One-called there, NO RESPONSE. I just don't understand how this heater isn't yet in stock-is there only one manufacturer in the ENTIRE world that makes this heater? Never again!
Gabrielle,
Thank you for being a Dimension One Spa owner and we are very sorry about this Fast Flo Heater situation. As you know this is a unique and patented heater for our product. We have switched manufacturers of this unit last year and thought we would have this unit by now for any customer. Our latest updates stated that we should have it available by the end of May. Please call you local D1 Dealer or EZ Spa Parts online to check the status of ordering the replacement heater for your spa.

We purchased this spa in 2012 and have been pleased with the unit. Recently however, three of the twelve led lens covers have eroded in the water and have broken off. The dealer I purchased the spa from informed me this could be a potential electric hazard and also possibly damage the tub. I was told today that the cost to repair the unit could easily approximate $1,000 as the tub would have to be disconnected by an electrician and the tub physically moved in order to allow repair. I am amazed that a water soluble product would be used in a spa. Has this happened to anyone else?

Waiting three years on a fix on a hot tub that is just over three years old and still under warranty. Same issue from about three months into our purchase. They keep "fixing" things but the problem remains, and it takes weeks or months to get anyone to show up to do the repair. I HATE this hot tub. Can't remember the last time I was able to use it. Called the main company number and they hung up on me when I mentioned a problem. My husband is a vet and he was proud to buy American made and from a vet owned company. They are a disgrace. Purchased (paid cash) from Modern Gas in Albany, Ga.
We have done everything beyond the warranty on this spa for you. I personally have been to your home on three appointments to make sure that your spa was working properly. As you know on the last visit we found that there was NO AIR movement around you spa which was causing it to overheat quickly and this is what burned out the pumps. This was not a warranty claim, but we replaced and installed new motors at NO COST to you to make this right. We have tried everything to make you happy.

I purchased my first Dimension One spa in 1992. Took care of it like it was a baby. Poured money into it, but finally I gave up and in 2004 bought another spa - another Dimension One because I really liked the configuration of the seats and jets. This tub is worse than the last one. I've replaced the circ pump 4 times, the entire motherboard, the heater and now the control panel needs to replaced. And it leaks. I'm single and the only person that uses it. I check the water and clean the filters weekly without fail. This freakin tub has never worked more than a month without needing repairs. From the beginning the store I purchased it from stopped selling them and wouldn't service it. The company does not stand behind their products.
The only reason I've kept it this long is because I found EasySpa parts in California and they've walked me through some of the issues. I just spent a couple hundred on the 4th circ pump only to discover the control panel needs to be replaced. This spa is going to the dump and I'll research and find a new spa that stands behind its product. Stay far far away from Dimension One Spas!!!
1.) To go through that many circulation pumps on any spa is unusual. How are you putting chemicals into the water weekly?
2.) D1 spas have a 5 yr. warranty on the Reflections Collection which is better than nearly all manufacturers. All manufacturers purchase electronics from 2 suppliers, one of make them. Some last longer than others but in the end, we do want to help. EZ Spa can help

I absolutely love my hot tub!! It's great for relaxing, and entertaining. It's fun for kids, easy to keep clean, and perfect for unwinding after a long day. It's sturdily built, a nice size, quality materials, and constructed well. Good foundation, eco friendly wood, and no harmful chemicals. Very pretty, comes in appealing colors, shiny woods, an appealing shape. A good size, easy for kids to get into and out, but also not too low for adults to sit in. With proper care, my hot tub should last me for decades. The quality can't be beat. Endless hours of relaxation, perfect for sore muscles, or cooling down after a workout.

Let me first start by saying there is nothing better than a long week and day at work then going home and getting into this amazing hot tub! I love making a nice drink, turning on the jacuzzi jets, and relaxing for at least one hour each night in my hot tub. This is one of the best things I've ever invested in my entire life... One of my favorite features my hot tub has is the ability to change the colors of the lights in my water, as well as change speed and duration of the water jets. I couldn't ask for a better hot tub than this and this is the third brand I've owned in my life. Will recommend to anyone who asks and all of my friends really really enjoy it as well!
