I am attempting to upgrade my Cove security system but I have had nothing but trouble. Whenever I attempt to pull up the camera to view, it takes forever! I could be robbed or worse by the time it shows anything. In addition I will have it on " motion or person detection" one minute and when I check again later it's off! When I asked assistance it's always my WiFi connection. Didn't have this with the older system?

Cove is AWFUL!!!! Not worth the money or hassle. Half of their equipment doesn't work and when you attempt to address it with them, they just go around in circles resolving NOTHING. They continue to charge you AFTER you cancel your subscription and refuse to reimburse you. 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. This is the worst security system I have come across. ONE BIG SCAM

We have had Cove for about 4 or 5 years. We like the cost and not having a contract, but we have had issues with poor quality equipment that has caused multiple false alarms. We paid extra for the professional install, so it has nothing to do with how it was installed. The big issue however is that we have the Plus Program which provides lifetime warranties on equipment. This summer our CO2 sensor failed. It took two months but Cove sent us a new one. It was deficient out of the box. We had the fire department break down our fence trying to get into our home. So we waited another four months for another. Eventually we were told that the new equipment they were replacing with would not work with our panel. We asked for the panel replacement and the new CO2 sensors that would work together - were offered a just a discount.
We reminded Cove that we had the plan that provided lifetime warranties on everything but the cameras. It was like they wouldn't even listen - kept offering a discount instead. Our equipment is deficient, you replaced with equipment that won't work with the panel, so we need the panel. This should be covered as the plan states. While dealing with this a glass break alarm failed and sent the cops to our home. It is never ending and Cove doesn't abide by their own plan. This is serious stuff - when you think you have fire, CO2, and water protection, but Cove has provided a deficient product - lives are at stake and personal property is at stake. Cove acts like it is no big deal - of course we are dealing with agents halfway across the world. Next stop is the Better Business Bureau.

After moving into my new shop, I decided it was necessary to install a security system to protect my property. After watching several reviews and doing my research, I chose Cove and signed up in November 2025, purchasing a package along with additional fobs for quick access since multiple people use the building. Unfortunately, as of March 2026, the fobs still do not work. Since installation, I’ve experienced ongoing issues with the system and have made multiple attempts to resolve them, only to be repeatedly disappointed.
The doorbell camera requires a separate base in order to record, which was not clearly communicated upfront. The cameras require SD cards with limited storage capacity, and several of the cameras purchased directly from Cove work intermittently. For a security system, reliability should not be optional. Today, when I attempted to cancel my membership, I was met with repeated attempts to persuade me to stay rather than a straightforward cancellation process. I made it clear multiple times that I was dissatisfied and had already replaced the system with another provider. Despite that, I continued to receive resistance rather than assistance.
To make matters worse, cancellation is not automatic. There is a cancellation fee that will be charged within a few days, and the language used during the process felt ambiguous and unnecessarily confusing. Overall, I am extremely unhappy with my experience. There is much more I could share, but the ongoing technical issues, poor customer service, and complicated cancellation process speak for themselves. I would strongly recommend choosing a more established and proven security provider.

I wanted to view my camera videos on the Cove touchpad, but the Eufy app I was using couldn't accomplish it. So, I decided to delete the Eufy Security Camera App and load the Cove Connect App on my cell phone. Got all six of the outdoor cameras to work on the Cove Touch Pad. Got everything all set up and working. My next step was to program the camera's activation and deactivation on a schedule.
Not able to figure out how to accomplish this task, I telephoned the Cove Support Team and was informed that there is no way to time-schedule the camera. Only the alarm system can be activated and deactivated on a schedule. If I had known this beforehand, I would never have removed the Eufy App from my cell phone and deleted my account. Could you please clarify if future updates will include scheduling features for outdoor cameras? Very disappointed that this feature is not available. I am eager to understand what to expect moving forward and what my next step is.

This company has horrible billing and cancellation methods. I paid for the service for 5 years while my daughter was at college and first year as intern. You have to call and beg them to cancel. I have already paid for the equipment in full. They also will only accept a 30 day notice from the most current bill. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! I called and spoke first to a man named Mark @855-268-3669 and I didn't know the verbal code. I offered the day I ordered, asked for a hint, offered my credit card, and nothing was accepted. He told me that they couldn't eve access the system without it. I asked for a manager, and he advised me that he is a manager. I finally went online and used my passcode to then find out my passcode is the verbal security. He didn't tell me that.

Don’t waste your time with this company. Sent defective equipment to begin with (I know that can happen), but over a month later and still do not have my replacement and not able to use my system. I made calls weekly, some weeks two times a week with the answer that they have been so busy and aren’t able to tell me when I will receive my hub and keypad (the most important part). I’m sending what parts I do have back today for a refund. I lost confidence with Cove. We have chosen another company to do business and protection with.

I purchased shorts from Cove USA that were advertised with specific fit and inseam details. The items I received do not match the product listing or images. The shorts are significantly larger and longer than advertised. This is not a preference issue. The product materially differs from how it was represented at the time of purchase. When I contacted Cove USA to request a return, I was told that returns are only accepted for store credit and that I must pay for return shipping. I believe this is unreasonable given the product was not as described.

Had Cove for a number of years. For a while all was good, no issues with equipment, called for alarms, proper notifications etc. When a new panel came out our old panel stopped working and cove advised we must upgrade to the new panel. We did which included a higher monthly monitoring fee. After a short time we were not notified on alarms, battery backup failed, cell line failed outdoor camera and app frequently go offline and recently the panel failed. Cove evidently outsourced call center because it appears overseas and not knowledgeable. They advised of giving credits, which they never did and sending a new panel, which never arrived. Stay away, this is a horrible company!

Cove cameras (Eufy) are JUNK. The doorbell camera doesn't detect motion, Cove knows this, can't fix it. The battery powered outdoor cameras eats the battery for dinner if it has had numerous motion detection hits. The built in solar power cell is worthless. If all you need are window and door sensors and monitored service, cove is ok for that.

I have given a chance to Cove for home alarm and turned into a nightmare. The company experienced flaws in several dept as follows: received the equipment and a crucial power cord for the hub was missing. Called several times the company stubbornly refused to overnight shipment of the cable. Waited about 15 days and when part arrived I was ready for setup but.... I needed to exchange parts due technical limitations. The company offered technical coverage at a $129 fee. I accepted but it turned that the fee was a basic fee plus all additional totaling $600.
Calling again, the representative was mumbling and gave a general impression of not be knowledgeable. Calling several times all the reps have something missing.... in translation. The boss Nick tried to obviate but a 4 weeks parcel still partial opened and lying in the living room was not looking good. The supervisor offered none then to return the equipment and again she showed lack of knowledge and poor quality sales skills.
Trying to mitigate again, and trying to save the deal I offered few options promptly rejected by the supervisor. At week 4 and 1/2 the system was still in the package! Giving a last try and seeming that the reps were barricading instead to offer solutions and trying to save for one more time the deal I finally gave up and ask for refund. I do not recommend Cove. It gave me the impression to be a junior company in the Industry and my concern was if they are so "primitive" in sales what do you expect when they have to deliver services such as monitoring or product replacement and support? 29$ a month could be appealing however, on the other hand could be very dangerous.

I’ve used Cove’s DIY system for years, with a Simple Panel and multiple sensors: 5 door sensors, 4 glass break sensors, 8 flood sensors, 2 carbon monoxide sensors, and a fire sensor. The system historically provided supervision and low battery warnings reliably. Over time, after replacing some batteries, the panel stopped recognizing some sensors. After multiple conversations, Cove finally confirmed the Simple Panel had reached the end of its life and shipped a replacement. Setting up the new panel requires reconnecting every sensor after multiple calls.
When I contacted Cove, initial explanations blamed metal doors or sensor installation issues, despite the system working for years. Eventually, they told me the sensors had reached their end of life — a fact I had never been informed about in prior communications. I requested the panel and sensors be checked, but they indicated that as a DIY system, they cannot do so. I no longer have confidence in this system. Users should be aware that both panels and sensors have end-of-life issues that may prevent alarms from functioning, and these risks may not be clearly communicated by Cove.

March 2025 I stopped having Xfinity Home Security. I switched to Cove with the Deluxe Monitoring plan. I have been pleased with the system and installed it myself. I have a technical background so the install was very easy. However I have a major complaint. It does not work with Google Home and Alexa. They are totally aware of this issue, yet they still advertise that it does work. To make matters worse they even publish troubleshooting tips that do not work. If it did as advertised i would give it 5 stars. I am overall happy with the alarm system but it should work as advertised. Still much better than Xfinity.

Crooks. Called last year to cancel one of my accounts. Was assured "services had been terminated" and recently discovered a year later that they were still charging for my service. Of course, they won't let me cancel without paying off the balance. They've been sending me text messages that if I call in they'll offer a 50% off discount my balance. I tried to use that, and the support team acted like they had never even heard of it. Tried sending screenshots of it, they said they can't see it in their email. I ask to cancel all my remaining services and they have to send me to their "account services team" who then try to sweet talk me into not cancelling and offer $3 off my current service. Don't use them.

I finally gave up and cancelled my order on 9/21 and received confirmation email that I would receive my refund in 3-5 business days. Instead, I received the package on 9/25 and I had to return package. I returned it and they received it on 10/3. I then call the 10/7 to check on the status of my refund and the rep said she would process the refund. So, if I didn’t call they were not going to process my refund?? They then stated it would be 5-10 business days before I see my money, but a previous email states it takes 3-5 business days. I have probably made a total of 20 calls to this company and have been told lies upon lies. Save yourself time and money and DO NOT do business with Cove!!

When we purchased our system, we had the professional install it. I feel he did a terrible job. He did not share anything with me. He put our system on the Eufy app and the Alua app. Our cameras were always dropping. I contacted Cove support five times in the last four weeks. They told me the person who installed it should have put it on the Cove app. Cove support instructed me to delete the Eufy app and the Alua app and put our system on the Cove app. I did that and ever since we have had nothing but problems. On the Cove app, we never receive any notifications of any event. Most of the time, we can't even see the cameras. Tonight I contacted support and did a chat, I waited over thirty minutes, I got tired of waiting and disconnected from the chat. Our system has been trying to connect to our internet for over four hours. I reset both devices with no results.
I again contacted Cove support. I was in the process of doing a couple things the support instructed me to do. She told me to take my time, I was only gone about three minutes and she disconnected me and sent instructions to do several things, which none were what I was having problems with. Of all the support staff I have dealt with, nobody could tell me why I wasn't getting notifications from the Cove app. I reinstalled the Eufy app and we started receiving notifications when events happened, but today the system went offline and have not been able to get back online. I do not recommend Cove.

Oh man back when I got with Cove it was great, you selected your options (number of sensors, panels, cameras) ordered it and it came with easy to use instructions to set up yourself. The price was also competitive and they would accrue dollars for equipment upgrades that you could use over time. The things that really pissed me off though is that they never called you when their system was down or power was out to your devices - they only ever called you about billing. Additionally they shifted their customer support from US based to offshore. This overall represents a significant risk profile increase as offshore organizations pay less (which is good for a company's labor costs) but makes them far more susceptible to insider threats and external actor penetration. Overall I really just can't recommend this company and its significant slide from its original great product.

Ordered a home security system from Cove, and it would not work at all. After several tech support tries, they sent me their new “upgraded” system. I was never able to activate the system. However, I discovered that I have been paying for monthly billing for over 1.5 years on a system that has never been activated. (partially our fault since we did have another Cove system for our business – didn’t notice that we were getting billed twice until it was too late). The response from Cove’s cancellation department was - sorry, we are keeping your money since we sent you the new system. Regardless of the fact it had never been activated. The best they would do is lower my monthly bill to $19/month. I don’t think so! Cancelled both business and this account today - STAY AWAY FROM COVE!

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Cove has been nothing short of a nightmare. When I first spoke to their team, I was told I could use the system without monitoring, but that I wouldn’t be able to connect cameras to the touchpad. Fine. I decided to buy the system online anyway — only to be automatically put on their most expensive monitoring plan without my consent.
When I called to downgrade to the basic plan, I was assured I would still have camera access through the app. Meanwhile, my equipment arrived missing a critical cable for the touchpad. I was told the cable would take 10 days to arrive, but not to worry because “everything would work through the app.” Two weeks later, the cable arrived. After drilling holes throughout my house and attempting to connect the cameras, I found out the truth: camera integration only works on their $50/month plan. This was never disclosed upfront. Their website is vague, and even the side-by-side comparison chart only says “camera support,” which is misleading at best.
Over the course of this ordeal, I spoke with multiple support reps and got completely different answers. Their customer service is a joke. It felt like nobody knew what was going on — as if everyone was on their first day of training and reading from a script. I talked to multiple reps (half of them seemed to be named Maria) and not one could give me a straight answer.
Do not trust the glowing reviews from YouTubers and influencers — those are paid promotions and don’t reflect the reality. The truth is: Cove misleads customers, hides key details, and their support team is completely unprepared to help. I am now cancelling everything. This has been frustrating, misleading, and expensive. If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay far away from this company.
