The Cal Spas salespeople were the owners of the shop, and they were pretty good. The delivery people came several times. The only problem I had was the tub is so wide, we had to hire a huge crane that could barely get it over the top of the house without going into alarms. We got it settled after four different attempts with four different cranes. I have the tub set up on a deck at the back of my house facing Sierra Blanca mountain chain. So, it's pretty nice. I wish I could have gotten a bigger one, but this one here taxed the cranes pretty heavily. We bought the Covana top for it, and I would recommend that for everybody because taking off those manual tops will be a lot of problems, especially when you get to a bigger spa like this one. I've seen the ones that are kind of like an old-fashioned buggy style where the two tops flip up on each end, and it blocks your view if you have a view that you want to look at. So, Covana top is the way to go.

The delivery man was very professional and he dropped off the spa we got. It is the perfect size and it warms up the water. But the mouth where you control the air is fading a bit. Other than that, there are no broken parts and it's still hanging in there.

Cal Spas needs to improve their customer service big time because I had issues with this bath and the customer service is really bad. First of all, they sent a guy that thought that I just crossed the border. No, I crossed the border a long time ago. I know what I'm talking about. I'm not being an expert on Jacuzzis, but I have common sense. Right now, I'm having a couple of issues with the circuit board and the control panel. But I'm not gonna call Cal Spas. When I had an issue with one of the jets, they couldn't help me with it. They made a big deal out of it. I ended up going to Anderson, cost me 15 bucks, and I fixed it myself. I shouldn't have to do that. Cal Spas should have supported their product.

Purchased spa 3/2022 and from day one pumps, lights, jets and waterfall have not worked or randomly kick on or off. Service has been out a few time and tried to fix jet and burned out lighting. They have also been out due to waterfalls not operating and pumps/jets kicking on and off. First guys said that’s the way it’s supposed to run. Second guy showed up but repair, but left in the 10 minutes it took us to get home. By the way, asked them to call half hour prior to arrival. Never have for any “repair”. About 5th time, Zack shows up and he’s very knowledgeable. Said waterfall is damaged and the display panel needed replaced or repaired. He had to order parts. That was months ago.
I have texting hot tub factory outlet and they claim we are on schedule today for waterfall replacement but no one is answering now. We have had this spa hooked up since mid April and we have had nothing but issues and terrible repair service. Do NOT buy from here! We had a Sundance spa for 15 years and never had as many problems in that time as we have with a Cal Spas for 4 months. VERY POOR SERVICE and the spa is still kicking on and off at random times. We are extremely disappointed.
Hello Jamie,Thank you for becoming a Cal Spas customer. I am sorry to hear of your recent experience with your spa. If you could provide me your serial number, I can gladly assist you. Thanks and have a great day.

Purchased a 730 series hot tub ten months ago. The pumps went into in-op mode. the local dealer sent out an inexperienced employee and determined a $6 30 watt fuse was the problem. No problem, they didn't have fuses in stock, special order, next week? I told him Lowe's had them in stock... no response. After my **, the local dealer sent out an experienced tech. Yes, the fuse was blown as well as the number two pump! Another two week wait. The #2 came in the earlier inexperienced employee installed it. While he was testing it, he said 'great, it's working!' (NOT). Pointed out the #2 jets are still not working! He said give it thirty minutes for it to 'prime'. He left.
After he left no #2 jets/pumps working as I constantly hear the #2 pump attempting to kick in and out. Also the temperture had been set to 95 and now it goes to 101? The #1 and #2 Jet Incons continue to 'rotate' while the unit is not in use. I can turn on the #1 side pump/jets by pushing the #1 icon while I can shut off the same with the #2 icon? Sometimes before the above problem occurred, both icon buttons infrequently and temporaryly inop. Randomly, the number one pump kicks on (outside the cleaning times). Called the local dealer, says they are working on the problem with CalSpa Tech Assist but don't have an answer yet? (NOT SO) Funny, I call the Cal Spa Tech Line twice. The first time, the Tech Specialist was on vacation, 'can he call you back next week?' The second time 'he was out for the day'. Still no communication from local dealer?
Thank you for becoming a Cal Spas customer. Following up to see if the local dealer was able to fix the issue with your spa. If you would like to speak to the Cal Spas Technical Support team, please feel free to call 800-225-7727 or call me directly.

We looked around and Cal Spas had the best model and the price. They did a good job with the installation. From the time the crew showed up to move the old tub out and put that one in, that took 45 minutes to an hour. We like our tub when we use it. It helps sone on arthritis. It's just we haven't been using it as much as we used to. I'm getting older and it's getting harder to get in and out. To maintain the tub, we just check the chemicals and clean the filter once in a while.

The reps did a great job and they were very informative and on hand. Even the contractors that brought the spa to my home did a fantastic job. I've had overall good experience with it. The only issue that I originally had was the jets were popping off. But I'm CPO-certified so it wasn't that difficult for me to push it back in and turn them. Other than that, the controls are good and everything works well.

Enthusiastic sales, poor service. Less than 1 wk after spa installation the control panel went dead. A week later we still had no info on repair status, no scheduled service appointment able to be scheduled until part received. Cal Spas ground shipped updated replacement part to our rural camp (we don't have a mailbox and are NOT there full time). No concern by either for how long this will take, guests coming for 2nd weekend, electricity use. Local dealer telling us we may have to install part ourself or we arrange for someone near camp to! Cal Spas told us to look up VP name if we want to escalate concerns further.

Prior to my new spa, I bought a bigger one from Cal Spas about nine years prior to that. The one I recently bought four years ago was my second one from them. I started having problems with that one, and I needed them to come out and perform some service on it about three times. Every time they did, they came out and took care of it. We were happy with the outcome every time. If something needs to be replaced, their rep took it out and took it back to the shop, rebuilt it, and brought it back.
As far as the delivery, the team members were definitely strong enough to pick this thing up and put it in my backyard. They didn't ask me for help. They had to take it down my nextdoor neighbor’s yard, and they took the fence down between us. They took it through the fence to get to me. So, it wasn’t an easy delivery, but they got it in, filled it with water, plugged it in, turned it on, and made sure it worked.

I liked Cal Spas' price. It's just their website needs to be a little bit more friendly for finding parts. The installation team was fair. I had a little incident. My gate was not big enough. I told them to wait a couple of minutes and I had knocked down a wall so they could get through, and they packed up and left. I had to make a second appointment. It took me about half an hour to move the fence, but their rules are their rules. Other than that, the salespeople and the people I've dealt with are very good.

I ended up having to pay a one lump sum payment instead of financing the hot tub because that part of the process wasn’t really clear. So I wasn’t happy with that. Once I purchased it, I also found out that I had to pay for a new gate because we had to knock one part of my wall down to get the tub in. I like the multiple jets but the quality of the tub is kind of poor. I can’t tell what’s going on underneath the plastic material around the side. It protrudes out a little bit. But it looked like that since they installed it. So I couldn’t tell if that was a defect or it was supposed to look like that.
We apologize for the issue you experienced with financing your spa and the delivery. Usually the dealer will advise in advance any delivery requirements including access. Thank you for your feedback.

I’m satisfied with Cal Spas. It’s a good product. They also have a showroom. But having a showroom with some live examples, and being able to test the seats out with water in it and see if they're comfortable, would probably be a good idea. This recent purchase was my second Cal Spas. My first one started to leak. In the wintertime, one of the motors was encased in ice, and it froze the whole system out. It shorted out. I called. It was still under warranty. But the guy could not find the leak. He said, “I think it repaired itself.” But I don’t think the problem fixed itself. There was an electrical issue and we had to change the wiring, and I paid for that.
The second Cal Spas is about the same size. It’s got the same amount of jets too. But with the first spa that I bought, I could sit in it and the way the bucket was designed, it was comfortable. Now, the seats, I sit in it, and I almost slide out of the seat. I have to put my feet in the middle just to stay in my spot. Another thing, when I go to open the hot tub, I slip the one side up and I’ll just hold it there. Water would drain out of that top for a few seconds and then, continue opening it. Somehow, there is steam condensing inside the cover and that water then finds a way to a corner and drips down. I was like, “I’ll never buy a Cal Spas again.” But they came out for the warranty issue.

We set up a time for the installers to come over and deliver it. They had their little doohickey to wheel the spa over to the area and they set it down where we wanted it. It gives us what we're looking for in a spa as far as moving water, heated water, and a cover that keeps it protected throughout the year. The usage for the spa is much greater than spending the same amount of money for other recreational products.

I only had the Cal Spa for a few months and I was having trouble with it. It kept getting dirty and it was putting all kinds of debris in the spa. It looked like something was coming apart in there. I had to keep cleaning it. I called them and asked them for help but they were absolutely no help at all. They told me that I had to just maintain cleaning it and they wouldn't send anybody out. They wanted to argue with me and it got heated enough that my boyfriend talked to them. They wouldn't concede to do anything to help me.
I have back injuries and I needed the spa to be able to relax and get some relief from my pain. Instead, I was cleaning the spa out all the time, which was hurting my back even more. I have to drain it constantly and put fresh water in it and deal with it. I've got it under control now but it's not anything like the old Cal Spa I had which lasted for 20 years. That's why I got another Cal Spa. But this just wasn’t the same thing.
This one, I can't regulate the heat. It does whatever it wants to do. They never even gave me a book on it. I had to go online to try to figure out how to maintain the heat because it'd be 99 one day and then 106 the next. When I try to lower the heat, it just doesn't work right. It was a floor model and they wouldn't do anything to help me so I wasn't happy.

It has a little bar area and we really like that with some planters, it looks super nice. It's a great size for us and my grandkids also enjoy it. It's like a small pool for them. When it comes to this kind of purchase, be ready to keep good maintenance on it. We've had a couple of issues where we didn't put the chemicals in correctly so we had a little fungus. We had to empty out the spa and suction out all the jets and clean it out real well and refill it.

And I've never had one minute problem with it, never had to call anybody. It has a light that changes color, and that has always worked. And the Jets are good. I went to Secard which is a local Cal Spas dealer, and ordered my spa and got it, which was fine in the beginning until it started having issues. It wasn't the greatest idea to get a Cal Spas. It was made a little cheap. It has had leaks, and it's lopsided. They didn't level it when they put it in. One side of the water is higher than the other side. I've had to have them come out seven times. I also had a heater issue. I had a Bluetooth stereo system put into it. That went on for two years before they finally came out to get that. It was hard to get ahold of them for a long time. That was because of COVID. They were closed. So, we couldn't use our spa for 11 months until they went back into service and could come out and fix the stuff.
Secard was the one that I had to call down to Fontana, who was the nearest one from Hesperia from where I bought the spa. And the one in Fontana had to send somebody. That repairman gave me his direct number because every time I would try to get through them, I couldn't get ahold of them. They wouldn't even message. So, he finally gave me his phone number and I would go to him directly. And he just came to my house and started fixing the spa himself. So if it wasn't for this repairman, it would have been a lot worse. Because trying to go through either one of these stores to get somebody to come out was almost impossible.
I have all the bells and whistles with the spa. It's a large one. I have the lights and the fountains. Some of the things now don't work on it. The jets don't work on half of the spa anymore. I don't have the money to have somebody come change it because my warranty went up right before COVID. So, I was screwed. I just got my income tax and paid off the loan for that spa. Now, I gotta have somebody come out and try to fix the rest of it. I'm just not going to go through Cal Spas because it's gonna cost me more.

Which obviously, makes it more enjoyable too when you’re not fighting the water all the time.

But I really regret buying this Cal Spas. It's a spa, but if I never had the Hot Spring spa before, I wouldn't have something to compare it to. It's noisy. The system for managing the chemicals isn't as developed. I'm constantly having to add chemicals and it's not even that old. The pillows on the spa have already deteriorated. I wouldn't recommend it. I already knew that Cal Spas existed, but I didn't look at them until I was at the Valley fair. Also, I read about them. I knew they are all worthy and they were good spas. The installers came in on a flatbed truck set on furniture dollies. And then I have a double gate, so it came on dollies on its side into my backyard. They were nice guys.
I got a good deal. I got the model that only has seats, jets for the spa on one end. It's a large swim spa. But I only got it for the pool part of it, not just the spa side. So it doesn't have a lot of seats. Only the two on the one end that have jets for the spa side. I've had shoulder surgery so the jets on my one side are different than the jets on the other side. That was my favorite spot.
The only thing I'm not happy about my spa is I have a crack at the top of it. I already have Astro Turf down and under the Astro Turf is a bunch of sand because I used to have above ground pools. So the sand is still all there. And then I have Astro Turf on top of it. They told me I needed to put pea gravel down on top of the Astro Turf to be able to level the spa. When the workers came out to deliver it, they said I didn't need to do that. But because of the pea gravel, the spa is not sitting level now. I used it a lot the first year. A lot by half the time the second year. I haven't used it all this year. It has been empty. I have cracks on the top edge because the spa is not sitting level. I have to call somebody out to level it. Cal Spas has not returned my calls back a lot when I called Secard. I don't know who to call. The salesman was great and so was the lady in the office that helped us. There was a really good customer service. But the installation part was a little tough. We had ideal conditions in that we had a brand new home built. But the spa is so large that we had to find a crane company to deliver it into our backyard. Luckily no homes had been built behind us yet. What happened was the crane we hired was short and couldn't get in. And the company didn't bring the backup materials to be able to bring the spa to our front yard. They had to come back out another time which meant we had to hire another crane. We got charged a show-up fee for the crane. That was the downside. The delivery was difficult and unorganized.
That aside, our Cal Spas is of extremely good quality. Everything was installed beautifully. We follow the guidelines in the booklet that we got about how often to clean it and maintain it. With that, ours is in excellent shape. We love the fact that we can switch our Cal Spas back and forth between a spa and a swimming pool. In the area we live in, it gets really hot in the summer but we have access to the spa for the rest of the year. We like how it's versatile that way. We also really like that our Cal Spas is large for a spa. When we use it as a spa, we can swim around in the warm water. We really love our Cal Spas and we're glad we bought it.

I am sorry Marci, There have been so many delays due to covid 19, and many customers are waiting just as yourself. The dealer where this was purchased is really good and reliable, but cannot deliver until we ship the spa. I can certainly reach out to him and request a refund if this is what you are seeking. I am sure during these difficult times the store will not have a problem canceling this order and refunding your money. Again, my sincere apologies for the frustration you have had to endure. I've only bought one hot tub, and Cal Spas was the one. I looked at five companies and I went with them because of the relative cost for what I was looking for. The representatives knew what they were talking about, except with their estimate on the power usage. Most of the dealers were way off on that one though. Apart from that, the install was smooth and the tub is high quality.

I had a friend who did an extensive amount of research on tubs and said Cal Spas was the best one to go with, and we had recommendations from other friends too. The reps were easy to work with and knowledgeable about the different tubs they had. We wanted something on the four to six-people range, and that's one of the main reasons we went with the model that we have.

When my husband bought the hot tub from Cal Spas at the Minnesota State Fair, they weren't even willing to sell us other ones. They had other ones on display, but this was the special that they were trying to promote at the state fair. I wanted more jets, and my husband said no. This was the one that we bought. If you can get ahold of customer service, they're good, but they don't always work in there. I suppose that with the Coronavirus, they're not always in the office.
I hate this hot tub. It doesn't have the same jet power as the Sundance at my cabin. Cal Spas doesn't come out for service too. They try to talk to you everything over the phone. Right now, I can't get it below 106, so I have to add cold water to it whenever I get in it. I called and they just told me to try to play with the cleaning settings on it.
We are so sorry you are unhappy with your purchase. I was able to reach out to the dealership where you purchased your spa. It appears that they offer phone troubleshooting on how to set your spa controls so you don't have to pay for a service charge. Programing your controls is not a warranty issue and is addressed in the owners manual. It is much easier for you as well, when they want to walk you through the spa functions, than to again, pay for a service man to come out and do those things for you. If you would like them to come out, they will do that in accordance with their store policy. Check your filter cycles, make sure they are not set too high which can add heat to the water. If that doesn't work, call the store they will come out and attend to any technical issues you are having.

Other than that, the spa is really good. We enjoy it all the time.

Cal Spas is a good quality tub for the price. It's probably one of the better quality tubs out on the market. My friend was looking for a hot tub and talked me into buying one when he bought one. We both bought Cal Spas on the same day at the state fair. The installers were very good. They were very professional. It's very frustrating at times because we have it at our lake cabin. You have to be a chemical engineer to keep the water clean, and we're not there all the time. But we enjoy the hot tub.
We also spend a ton of money on chemicals. We don't use it for a week at a time, and sometimes two weeks at a time. It seems like we're pretty good at it if we get up there once a week. But if we don't get up there once a week, then it's like you get a truckload of chemicals and put it in there. I haven't really got anybody to give me any good answers on how to manage that better. I've heard from other people, "Well, you gotta get a saltwater one." I did spoke to the customer service reps and they were like, "Just dump more chlorine in it." So I just learned, "If it don't look great, just dump a bunch of chlorine in it, dump a bunch of oxidizer in it, put a bunch of oil in it." I just wish somebody would invent a feeder system for it and get a combined composite chemical that would work. It would be really cool.
Just before the year was up, I got three LEDs that are out in mine. I called them and they said, "Yup, yup, we'll fix that under warranty." I said, "Rather than come up there in the winter and try to do it in the winter, why don't you wait till next spring?" They said, "Yup, be happy to do that and we'll mark it down." So they marked it down. Then, in the spring when they were ready to come up there, I said, "This is gonna be under warranty. Ain't gonna cost me anything." "Nope, nope. Won't cost you anything except for the trip up there." The trip up there was gonna be $130. I'm not gonna spend $130 on a warranty item. So I still have three lights that are bad. I said, "Well, why don't you give me the lights?" They said, "Well, take out the ones you have and then bring them in." They said that they would give me the lights. I haven't done that yet. Other than that, the quality of the tub is great.

I've heard a lot about how good Cal Spas was and I just checked out the reviews. They were pretty close to my house at that time and I went down there and bought my first one. And then I bought my second one, and then I got the third one. I bought one a couple of years ago, and it went well. I've had one for many years. I got a new one and that was that my daughter's house. But when I bought this one, everything was perfect. It was a little tight trying to get it through the gate to the backyard, but they did a fabulous job. They had three or four guys and they manhandled that and put it right through there and set it right in the right spot. I then had a little problem, but they came out and fixed it with no problem. Sometimes around the control panel, the LED lights are very bright. So, when you're sitting in the spa and relaxing with the lights off, it's bright. Other than that, I love the features.

However, when you fill it to the proper level or it has all the jets working, the water overflows as soon as you get four people in there (and for sure the seven that it will hold). You then have to refill it because all the water just goes over. I use the hot tub a couple of times a week and so far everything's holding up. It's quality. I'm originally from California and I've always heard about Cal Spas. My parents had a hot tub Cal Spas when I was growing up. Then we moved to Minnesota early summer two years ago and we decided we wanted a hot tub in our backyard. We looked at the Minnesota State Fair during that timeframe but we weren't really impressed with the deals there so we went to Cal Spas' storefront. I had a nice conversation with the guy there and it was a painless purchase process. We did take some time to make some decisions because we weren't sure if we wanted the extra jets but all in all, we were very pleased with our purchase. When we first got the hot tub, we had an issue getting it hooked up with an electrician but it was not Cal Spas' fault at all.
We finally got it hooked up and we put the water in. They gave us the starter kit of supplies. But water in Minnesota is extremely hard so it took the whole bottle of pH and alkalinity down to get the levels right but they weren't right because we needed more. We were right in the middle of travel so we were worried that our tub was gonna get destroyed. When I called Cal Spas and explained everything to them, they got some pH down together and gave us a couple of bottles on the house. They had it all tied up in a bag and had it all ready to go so that we could just drop by, pick it up with the kids, go home and put it in the tub. Everything ended up turning out just fine.
Then they had the guy come out shortly thereafter to give us the lesson that they offer to new hot tub owners about keeping the chemicals. We had a problem with water and we went in there and one of the gentlemen who worked there told us how to take care of it. It’s been perfect since. I love the hot tub and it's one of the best things that we could have ever invested our money in.
When we first bought it, we got the lounger in our hot tub and we weren't gonna get the extra jets 'cause we were looking at the cost. We wanted to be smart but we also wanted to take advantage of what we were gonna buy. I told my husband that if we were gonna spend eight grand, we might as well get what we want. So we decided to spend the extra $900, get the jets in there and we do not regret it. It is the best thing we've ever done and we love that thing. It was a great investment and it will be with us for as long as we have it. We also asked how much the tub weighed empty because with our jobs, we sign mobility agreements and we may have to move. But it's well under the weight limit of what we would have so we will probably move it with us.

I love the layout for our Cal Spas. We have that 13-foot length and we have the benches all the way around. It works great however there was a manufacturing defect that can’t be fixed yet until the quarantine’s over. When the installers put the plastic subfloor underneath it, they shot nails into it and they were sticking up. And one of the water hose underneath that’s laying on top of those nails eventually vibrated straight through it and put a hole on it. They can’t get it fixed until this is all over. But beyond that, it's fantastic.

We saw Cal Spas at the entrance of the state fair where we go to. They feel like one of the more reputable companies in the area and we were able to get a pretty good deal on the one we got. Everything is working well. The installation took an hour, and it seemed pretty straightforward. The product we got is spacious. We can easily fit four or six people in there without really any effort. The interface took a little bit of time to get used to but it was not too bad and it's fairly intuitive.
The only thing we found, and we kind of learned this the first winter, was the cost of heating in the winter was pretty extensive and we had it kept to 100 degrees all year and the heating bill went up. It's like $250 to $300 a month just for that winter. So, we dropped this next two years and we really didn't use it that much in the winter. The next two years, we kinda set the temperature down to like 65 or 70. And then the cost went down dramatically. It makes sense but that was something we kinda learned the hard way the first year.

Cal Spas is a well-known brand but we saw it at the state fair. We received good customer service when we got the tub. We installed it ourselves. After getting it installed, we had no help whatsoever. I contacted by phone. I couldn’t find the right manual because we were given the wrong one. And then, I went into a store and the guy said there wasn’t even a manual available for that one. So, it wasn’t until a month or so later did we get the manual for it.
But then, we had a guy come out and help us, and teach us how to use it. He was there not even 20 minutes and that was it. He didn’t really teach me anything. He didn’t explain much because we went through all the options in the menu and he was like, “You don't need to know about that. That's nothing, that’s nothing. You only need to know these three.” It was temperature and speeds, and that was it.
Additionally, our starter kit was for the smaller tub and I had to purchase more stuff because of the iron in the water. And then, once the guy realized that, he said that we only had enough for the smaller tubs. But it’s just the hassle of trying to figure out how much chemical I needed to put in there because I didn’t want to waste it or put in the wrong one. The guy was like, “Well, if it looks like this, then just add a little bit of this.” And was like, “Well, can I get a measurement?” I was supposed to have the store manager come out but he went on vacation, and then, I didn’t hear from him after that. So, I’ve just been learning how to use it.

In all due respect to the gentlemen that were delivering it, we were about 70 miles from their facility and they had about six other deliveries to do that day. They were thorough and they covered the basics. Would I have liked to spend more time with them? Yes. The quality is good, but I'll never buy a new spa again because it is not worth anything after you buy it. I bought it for $10,000 and no one wants to give me $2,000 for it. There's no damage but I can't sell that spa for a thousand bucks. So, I'm not happy.

I like the quality of Cal Spas' tubs. I've kept getting their tubs and their guys come in, install what I got and out they go. If it doesn’t work, their team fixes it. A couple of things haven’t worked but still, Cal Spas took care of those problems. They’re doing a wonderful job.

We've owned a Cal Spas for years. We got another product from them and everything is working fine. Our experience was good except the drainage hose isn't very great. You need to take the whole side cover off to get to the actual valve to get the hose up. So, what's the purpose of the drain. It’s supposed to stick out the sides so it’s nice and convenient or be able to pull it out, and you can’t. That’s been kind of a frustrating thing. And the power to the jets is weak. It creates bubbles, but this particular spa that we bought is a little underpowered.

I'm a loyal Cal Spas customer. I bought two other spas - one 20 years ago and another 10 years ago. My current one is about four months old. Cal Spas delivered my tubs and that was it. I wish they installed the tubs since it was inconvenient. But other than that, Cal Spas has a nice team. I have no issues. That's why I keep going back.

We had a tub for 14 years and we got talked into a new one. But the new one was grossly disappointing compared to the old one so we traded that one back in. What we got was closer to what we had before. It's still not as good as our initial one, but it's as good as you can expect. The installation guys for Cal Spas went out of their way to make sure things were set up properly. My only disappointment is having the new tub not performing nearly as good as what I was told and what I was sold. I probably would've kept my old one until it died if I had known the operation difference. It has a different filtering system and less power, but it works.

My uncle had a Cal Spa. I bought mine in February, but it was installed in April. The installation part was absolutely terrible. The installers came unprepared. They were highly unprofessional. They had to use my tools. I would never recommend anybody to go through the installers and the people that delivered it. Everything’s up and running though, and the spa itself is great. I would recommend the spa 100%.

They have always been really nice and very cooperative as well. We had some electronic problem before and they sent people out right away. We've always been very pleased. We also enjoy getting in our tub from Cal Spas.

We had another Cal Spas tub for 12 years, but the motors weren’t working great and a lot of the stuff was getting outdated. Plus, it was hard to get a part. We decided to update and we went with Cal Spas because we seem to have good service from Cal Spas in Plymouth. We order our chemicals from them and if you order over $100, you don't have to pay shipping. Plus, they have usually been good to come if we needed them.
We bought a nine-seater hot tub and it has the waterfall and many jets. Their team was good. We had a good experience except they didn't finish positioning the hot tub on the patio. The hot tub was very heavy so it was very hard for me and my husband. We had to make some rollers and get that done. The first time, they positioned it, filled it, and made sure everything worked, but they didn't do that this time. And even though we had the electrical inspected properly before, we had to have it done again and they had to wait until we had that done. The hot tub is very easy to use though. The controls are very easy and the tub stays clean. We filled it in April and our water is still very clean. Also, the heat up and cool off is really nice.

I don't write reviews too often, but in the case of our $13,000+ Cal Spas EC-867B hot tub I purchased in May 2019 a review is warranted. First off I like to buy American when I can and it was a big selling point for me pitched by the sales rep at Dreamstyle Remodeling as in my experience American made products tend to be better... however this has not been the experience I've had with my Cal Spas hot tub. In the 2.5 months that I have owned this patio ornament it has been unusable (or partly usable if you don't mind flooding your patio and filling it up daily.... As an extra bonus a high water bill will follow at the end of the month as well).
We have had 3 different significant leaks over this period (I swear its like Wack-a-mole), a broken diverter valve, and speakers that stop working that have been repaired/replaced also 3 different times. Concerning our most recent leak the a repair tech was sent out by Dreamstyle a full week after reporting the leak and the tech found that he was unable to fix it, had to order new parts, and will have to completely drain the tub and either lift it or flip it on its side...here comes that water bill again. In fact, the tech's actual suggestion was to see if we could return it and swap it out for a new one. Additionally, due to the hot weather and near constant leaks the inside cabinet is starting to get slimy and gross.
We contacted Dreamstyle as to our desire for a replacement tub and they said that the decision had to come from Cal Spas and that they only sell the tubs and service them. So once again, my family is going through another week and weekend unable to use our hot tub, paying a ridiculously high amount for a water bill, having to get new chemicals, and paying a car-payment size hot tub bill for what's amounted to little more than an overpriced decoration. Bottom Line: If you want a near constant headache, pay a huge sum of money for a low quality product, and have your utilities sky rocket buy a Cal Spas hot tub. If the previous suggestion sounds unpleasant (trust me it is) then buy another brand.

Having our Cal Spas tub installed was a little hectic because it had to go into a tight spot. Still, their installers got it in okay and everything seemed to be perfect thereafter. However, we had trouble with the chemicals they gave us to keep it with the right everything. So, we went with Baquacil instead. Even so, we love the jets because we both have arthritis and they help with our physical well-being.

Cal Spas' service and our hot tub have been awesome. We love them. We made our purchase with Cal Spas due to their reputation and we have friends that have the same brand. We had seen some other brands before, so we kinda knew what we were looking for. But Cal Spas was able to help us narrow it down. The installers as well as our installation experience were good. We had everything wide open for them. So, we had it set up well. We absolutely love being in our hot tub. We bought a different top for it. It's a special aftermarket top that we got from Cal Spas. It raises up and down. That is the bomb. So, if I would recommend that to anybody, it's worth the money. That is so nice to have.

Thus far, I’m very satisfied with my experience.

I owned a Cal Spas in California about 10 years ago. They stand by their products and their name is worth something in the market. Three months ago, I got the Patio KONA Plus from Cal Spas and I had the ozonator put in as an upgrade. It is self-explanatory, and you don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure it out. It's a three-person spa for me, and it's working fine. But the people who brought it were understaffed. Two of the people that were gonna help put it in called in sick. So, I ended up having to pitch in. I'm not decrepit and helpless, but I don't wanna break any bones or get any hernias from doing heavy lifting. So, it would have been helpful to have more people here, but that was not Cal Spas. It was the delivery guy.

It was good to go. They also showed us how to do everything.
We have the portable plug-in spa that can accommodate seven or eight people and can hold 500 gallons of water. We've had our spa for a year and eight months now and we like it a lot. One must be very careful when choosing a qualified retailer for these custom spas. Our spa dealer in San Luis Obispo (CCH Pools) did a good job installing the electric, but had no idea how to operate the spa. Several angry calls later, Cal Spa revealed that they used a 2017 operating system on a 2019 build. We had to find the proper user manual online as it wasn't provided by the dealer. SO: get an itemized invoice for every feature that you pay for and double check with Cal Spa. Make sure you receive the appropriate owner's manual and personalized instruction on use as the operating system is NOT intuitive.

Cal Spas' customer service was great. They were the first booth we saw at a fair and we did an impulse buy. A friend of my wife has a Cal Spa, and he said they were good to work with. That was another reason we went with Cal Spas. I've had some questions, and the Cal Spas team helped me out. We bought their product that they had a fair special on. They had a big inventory on them. Our hot tub is sitting on our deck. It's very product-heavy as any spa is, but the products are very expensive. So, it is definitely a costly thing to keep going. So, if the chemicals were more reasonable, I think they’d have more success.

I had a excellent experience with Cal Spas. I got the unit because I have issues with my back and it has helped. We have the waterfall and the light on there. We also have the handrail, the Bluetooth speakers and the gazebo. The installation was also a good experience, although it was kind of a pain because I had to get a crane to pick the unit up over my garage to put it in the backyard. But the rep knew her product and was good. Cal Spas gave me some veteran perks too. Then when I saw the rep the following year and spoke to her, she gave me some information on how to keep my water clean. When I had to call for some repair issues, they were prompt with getting someone out to take care of those issues as well.
