I bought an X series spa in 2022. I have needed to have them come out numerous times to fix leaking jets. Not the kind of issues I should be having on a new tub. Had to call them out again last week and I was supposed to have a 5 year warranty and when the tech came out, he said the jet they fixed last time was working and this was a new jet that was leaking, and my panel that comes off is all warped and I can't get it back on. The tech said his boss said I was out of warranty and after the tech left, I got a rude short email that they are not going to warranty the warped panel or the leak, and they were going to bill me $149 for a service call and to let them know if I want them to fix that jet. I should not have leaking jets repeatedly and my panel should not have warped after 3 years on a Tub I spent $9,000 and just paid off last year.

I purchased my R7 model 4 years ago from a local dealer. Just after the warranty expired last year it started to leak from a fitting on the heater. I ended up fixing it myself because the dealer said it would be 6 weeks before they could look at it. It developed a new leak this fall and the dealer did not return my call so I shut it down for the winter.

I purchased a A8 Bullfrog spa about 4 years ago. The head covers on all the seats, and the waterfall are discriminating, The cup holder stickers are all pealing, 4 out of the 6 jet pack seats recently stopped working, and the cover is totally discriminating. When the spa was working it was very nice and worked well, but for the price of the spa and the ratings online you would expect better quality. My neighbor has a significantly cheaper spa, and his has outlasted my supposed Cadillac of a spa. I could understand that after 5-7 years I might have to replace a cover which sits outside all day and night. What I did not expect, was that my Cadillac of a spa was really a Pinto in disguise, ready to explode at any turn. I would re-think spending all the money it costs to purchase a Bullfrog Spa. It may be cheaper to buy a significantly cheaper version every 5 years.

My “hot tubs” is only a warm tub. It doesn’t get over 102.9 but registers 105 on the spa. It is like a warm bath water. It is ok for 45 degrees or above below that it is cold. If you don’t keep your entire body in the water then it is only warm. We have had hot tubs before that were never this cool! We are very unhappy and have been told it is “within the variance”. Turn your heat in your home by 2 degrees! Huge difference! We spent over 10,000 and are extremely unhappy. We were told that with the bullfrog spa the chlorine and mineral pack makes it so you don’t have to use chemicals. WRONG. I still have to put chemicals in. Waste of money! Do not buy! They will not return it even after less than 3 weeks!

I would not recommend Bullfrog Spas based on my experience. Once you make the purchase, it feels like you're on your own. They rarely answer their phone, and getting them to return a call is nearly impossible. Customer service is virtually nonexistent. A couple of years after purchasing my hot tub, the hard top cover broke. Every time I open the tub now, it pulls the siding off — clearly a design or manufacturing flaw. Despite the product still being under warranty, I’ve been unable to get any meaningful help from the company. They simply don’t respond or take accountability. It’s incredibly frustrating to invest in a premium product, only to be left hanging when issues arise. If you value responsive customer support and a company that stands behind its warranties, I suggest looking elsewhere.

When I purchased my hot tub, I was won over by their promises, however they do not stand behind their product so I would never purchase again. I started to see a build up along the edges that when removed would take away the finish. I then developed a non-leaking crack. Both should be covered by warranty (shell and finish). When I spoke with someone at the store I was told they would look into it. Several follows up resulted in they would do nothing and cited chemicals. This was after only using pics I provided and only using their chemicals. Another manager told me he would personally send someone out to look at it that would call to set up an appointment. A year later and I'm still waiting for that call. If they don't stand behind their product, why should I support it.

They never answer their phone and take days to respond via email. While their products look great, they don't tell you that you can't get the product you advertise. Magically, they are swapping spa covers because of tariffs but nowhere is this posted or communicated. 25K+ for a spa and you can’t even get the product you want. Their customer service response shows lack of care or concern.

Buyer Beware of Bullfrog Hot Tubs… I should have read the reviews before purchasing my M-9 $30,000 hot tub. I’ve had problem after problems. My dealer seems good and responds, the warranty guy has been out a few times but my (expensive) hot tub is not resolved. The control panel would work sometimes and not others, the breaker switches off like it should but we are a newly constructed home so my amps are not the problem. It has a mind of its own, all jets come on at random, then shut off, no reason things started not working. Then we came home and the inferior locks broke off, the tub emptied itself onto the concrete and then shut itself off, we returned and were very disappointed. The warranty guy came out and replaced the panel but it still has quirks.
The top & lock are ridiculous and a “Huge Liability for Bullfrog”, and this serves as notice to them. The wind can slam it down as the locking hydraulic lifts break and/or don’t work, it will hit you so hard it could knock one out or break a neck, this is a lawsuit waiting to happen, it is imminent. Next we were home and heard a loud thud. We went out and the tubs lid completely ripped off the top lid lift system, completely breaking it off the tu,b throwing it on the ground. The dealer came out and replaced both side hinge lift arms and also new (old) lock that worked before Bullfrog changed to this new stupid design. The warranty guy said the main computer or brain to the 30k hot tub needs replacing but Bullfrog said No, really … Sadly being gone this first year a lot and the tub not working a lot, we’ve only gotten to enjoy it, maybe 10 times in one year, that's a $3,000 use per use tubbing, not good.
I have hot tubs since I was 30, I’m 70 now and the highly expensive hot tub has been my worst. Stick to a different brand and you/we don’t need a $30,000 useless liability of a hot tub. I wish they’d just take it back, refund and place a 10k hot tub in its place… Bullfrog could use this lemon tub to study how to make them better or do nothing about their problems we pay for, buyer beware.

Attempted to purchase approximately 247.00 worth of spa supplies for my Bullfrog Spa at the Boise Bullfrog location today. Was told by a female sales associate that she couldn’t make change and didn’t I have a card I could use. I did but I prefer to pay with cash. If you do not accept cash then you should post that info. I left without any products and plan to find another option for my supplies. Cash is still an acceptable form of currency and to pass on 247.00 worth of merchandise because you can’t make change seems foolish. Poor customer service by this associate.

Hello everyone! I have the worst experience ever, I bought the Swim Spa Jacuzzi S200 in April. To schedule the delivery was the worst experience ever -they changed 2 providers both left me neglect-last provider came and was very rude not reliable and not professional at all. I left a lot of messages to all different staff members -no respond. The only one guy George who was very responsible and trying to fix the issues and unfortunately he can not. From April till August no connection in a team. I made a returned the bigger portion was returned right away, the deposit of 1000 still not returned no information. It's unbelievable experience, left a message to vice -president of the company -no respond either. What's kind of company is it? DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. I hope this review will help to people to make a right decision.

Bought our tub in 2011. It is still running great. Over time it has needed a few minor repairs. Customer service is excellent. Told my family to buy only a BullFrog. The jets are great. But service from Great Falls MT is super.

These people don't respond at all. I have sent them messages with their website form and even called the customer phone number. All it does is ring and then after about twenty rings, it tells you to leave a message, which they never call back to. Horrible service.

Pool and Spa Depot in Bowling Green Kentucky carries the Bullfrog hot tub and sold it to us based on the supposed quality of the product. It worked great for 10 months and it’s been a royal pain ever since. It continuously leaks and it has never been repaired properly. You cannot get anywhere with customer service at Bullfrog and Pool and Spa wants to charge us an ungoshly amount to continue to repair it, though it has never been repaired to begin with. They keep saying it’s a new leak. It’s a new leak. It’s a new leak… Well for the money it shouldn’t be an old or a new leak. We are beyond frustrated And not only will we never buy a bullfrog again, We will never shop at Pool and Spa Depot again. We are going to take a chainsaw to it and haul it piece by piece back where it came from before it’s all over.

Bought a Bullfrog R7 spa a couple of years ago for $14k. The cover has an issue where it fills up with water and now the cover is filled with mold. The plastic that covers the foam inserts is very poorly made. Have been going back and forth with them for four months and still not able to use my hot tub. They said they would contact me… never did. They kept asking for pictures… and then weeks go by and they need more pictures… and more. Customer service is extremely non responsive. I would NEVER buy another bullfrog spa.

Putting it mildly they try to sell products that we don't need and did not maintain the equipment we do have. They came here four times and never cleaned the filter. The same dragonfly floated in the pool for 3 weeks! We asked them to change the light bulb in the pool and they said we need a whole new lighting system! They refuse to correct the leaks around the PVC pipes requiring us to fill the pool three times a day! Forget these people!!!

I purchased A8 Plus - 2023 Bullfrog about 2 years ago. If I knew that I had to clean every jet every headrest every weekend, I would have not bought the top-of-the-line model. Too many parts to remove and clean. If not mold gets into the smallest parts and also under the cover. If I keep the temperature below 90 mildew, I can go two weeks. Also I use test strips every few days, change filters more offer than required. The cartridges also do not last very long. I would’ve bought a cheaper model with less maintenance. This is too much work for my age! This was a mistake! I’m thinking about trying to sell! Don’t think that a hot tub is less work than a pool! This is not my first hot tub, but will be my last!

Purchased A-6 in April 2024. Started leaking almost right away. Since then the head rest cover to one of the JetPacks is coming off. Two of the sides are falling down, this is where the cover connects to the tub. And lastly, sure there is more to come, the small buttons to start motors is coming apart. To date the store I purchased this from has not repaired my unit. Recently the store dropped the Bullfrog product line due to many warranty issues. I would love to start or join a class action lawsuit with any that may be in the same boat. **

I bought a model A7L roughly 2-3 years ago. I have had two leaks repaired under warranty. Multiple clips broken, seat cushions getting moisture in them. I have been trying to get warranty on an acrylic burst due to poor manufacturing explained to me by two spa companies. Bullfrog has denied their warranty and said it is due to sun damage. My tub is covered year-round with cover and gazebo plus south side trees that shade. By a tub from a manufacturer who will work with you before and after the sale. These guys will sell the warranty and leave you in the wind when it gets expensive.

Bought it 1.5 years ago. It failed twice already. It leaks constantly. The waterfall never worked, fixed, It failed again and now the shell is having some kind of Deterioration, see photos. Waiting for the seller to come out and repair it, which is ridiculous because it cannot be repaired, but they have no choice, they do what Bullfrog tells them to do. Would never buy again, very unhappy. So far no resolution has been offered to us. Horrible customer service. Do not buy!

We bought a Bullfrog X7-Platinum Series hot tub. Buyer BEWARE!!! We had the tub less than three years, and in a contoured seat we developed a blister the diameter of six inches. The warranty states that Bullfrog warrants the surface finish of the Bullfrog Spa not to crack, wrinkle, blister, peel or delaminate for three years from the original spa purchase date. We contacted our dealer and service manager who went to bat for us calling Bullfrog. We were told that we had to cough up another $2,100 for a newer spa since there is depreciation with the old spa. That language is NOT in the warranty. We also have to pay for the exchange, and delivery for the replacement (which is stated in the warranty).
We contacted Bullfrog's warranty department personally to try to understand the difference between our tub and a new tub that it would cost an additional $2,100. Bullfrog has you pay for the newer technology. What is newer in three years? He couldn't answer our questions. He told us to speak to our dealer about the differences. Bullfrog said that they would pay for a surface repair, IF it was not a third party. It is a third party since it is a specialty surface job. We got the runaround. Either way, we have a three year old tub with problems and have to dish out more money. What good is warranty if they don't honor it? Bullfrog needs to include language in their warranty about buyer's tubs depreciating value, and having to pay a difference in a newer tub.

Bought a really expensive spa from Bullfrog, their installer put the spa in for us as part of the selling price. We were never told or shown the factory tunnels and holes leading into the interior of the spa. Inevitably mice or rats got into the spa from these factory installed tunnels and ruined our expensive spa. I contacted bullfrog, they said God did it and would offer no help. I do not believe God makes their spas with a design flaw. The spa is nice but the company bullfrog is a disgrace to american made and to anyone who believes in God. Shame on you bullfrog.

I believe I have the only S200 Swim Spa in Salt Lake City, Utah. I bought July of 2023. Everything that could go wrong did. The salesperson could not answer basic swim questions as she had never been in one. Starting with delivery to today, one thing after another has been a pain. 3 months after delivery a pump broke and it took them almost 4 months to replace. I have to call them all the time to ask about things, they never follow through.
The owners or higher management NEVER got in touch to discuss - even at the Home Show one manager guy just said "sorry to hear about the issues". Never did they suggest to come out to see or discuss. I do not know about their other products, but I spent $46,000 and hate, hate the experience. Also many of their techs have left over their poor management and the owners. Do not get their swim spa. The filtering cannot handle the size of the S200. Even with their tech doing every other week service it is poorly designed.

Bought a new A6L in Phoenix 5 years ago. Recently had a problem with two Jetpaks. Contacted store manager and customer service. Quick response and replacement Jetpaks showed up at my door in about a week. Otherwise this hot tub is fantastic and I've had no problems. Still looks like new. It gets used every day and really helps address my severe osteoarthritis from skiing, kayaking, football injuries.

We purchased a brand new M8 from Bullfrog Spas Laval in November 2023. Service was perfect, delivered on time and the best quality we ever seen. Thank you very much to their team! I recommend to anybody looking for the best service and product.

Steer Clear at All Costs!!!! We purchased an A6L in early 2019. The spa has been falling apart since day one. The foam pillows have deteriorated, the exterior status light caught on fire, the base of the spa is cracking and falling apart, all the clips for the pillows have broken, the labels for the cup holders and buttons have fallen off, the knobs on the jet packs have fallen off, the rotating jets in the jet packs stopped rotating, the motors have overtime begun to make loud vibrating noises, and the list goes on. All I can say is don't make a $13K mistake like we did. Since our purchase 3 of our neighbors bought spas from other manufacturers as they witnessed the poor quality of the Bullfrog Spa. Life Lesson Learned for Sure.

Don't buy Bullfrog Spa. Their warranty is worthless. Purchased A 6L model in 2020. Waited for two years to fix broken panels. Then base cracked. After six months they finally trow some patches on, then again, again and again... It's cracking, no one from Bullfrog wants to fix it. They want 5k to replace it. Worthless products and warranty.

We purchased our X series hot tub about three years ago from Tropical Spas in St George Utah. They are an authorized Bullfrog spa dealer. It took several months to finally receive our spa. We never got updated reports about our spa and when we asked for a refund they refused to give it to us. We asked to speak to the manager who never gave us the courtesy of a call back. When we finally did take delivery of our hot tub the first thing we were told was that it may not work right immediately. It didn’t and did not for months. I was told what I needed to do if the spa did not work correctly but that did not work and I ended up breaking a part.
I went to the dealer that I purchased the hot tub from and asked them to order the part and test our water. They never ordered the part and did not test our water. After about six months the hot tub fixed itself and started working. I have to admit that once the hot tub started working it was fantastic. But then about six months after that it developed a leak. I tried to fix it but it seemed to get worse. I recently had a spa repair person come out who discovered three leaks. All of them are in the same area behind the control panel. The repair man said that this is common with Bullfrog spas as they cram everything into the bottom of the hot tub and fail to properly secure and support plumbing. He has worked on several Bullfrog spas and sees the same issues time and time again.
I personally know three people with Bullfrog spas. One them is a Swim Spa. They all leak. One person has had hers repaired several times to no avail. Eventually it starts leaking again. Know she is getting rid of it out of frustration. I have owned many hot tubs over the years and never have had this problem. This is my first and last Bullfrog spa. It’s made in Utah.

2-3 times a year I break the clips on the JetPak that covers the cartridges. Since it covers the cartridges I have to remove it fairly regularly to change the cartridges. I am incredibly careful and treat things with care when trying to remove the JetPak . I have repeatedly tried to call and email Bullfrog for an answer on why these break, and to ask them to make the clips out of more pliable plastic, or out of stainless steel. The manufacturer simply won't return my calls/emails. I asked my local dealer to look into this for me. One month later the dealer had not called back. I asked my dealer again and they said someone named Robert was calling the manufacturer. 3 weeks later no one had gotten back to me. I called my local dealer...Again.
Robert picked up! He's alive! He had an answer at the ready, he just chose not to return my call. He claims that the manufacturer said, "if the seal is not properly set at the bottom of the jetpak when somebody tries to push down to remove the jet pack it'll break the clips." I got angry. Really? That was their excuse? That my seal was not properly set?! But it is! And I am still having clips break way too easily! I am still under warranty so they pay to repair this. But once I am out of warranty in 1.5 years I'll be spending about $500 a year to fix these. Unacceptable! I would not buy another Bullfrog if you gave it to me for 90% off! I have had countless other problems with my M8. This company should do everyone a favor and shut down.

The hot tub is great, the side panels, lid and clasps are insanely awful. The lid blows open regularly - even if the clasps are locked. The only time the clasps seem to work well are when I actually want to open the hot tub lid and then they are IMPOSSIBLE. A $20k hot tub inoperable because a 10 cent piece of crap plastic.

If there was a spot for a zero star, I would click that… Do not buy these p.o.s. spas… I’m a hot tub repair & maintenance technician. They will eat your money & break easily. The interchangeable jet packs provide a mold & algae breeding ground. The pillows, jets & filter parts degrade and break within a year. Every part that you should be able to change is proprietary to their brand, cost more than any other brand & is a pain in the ass to replace. They don’t put valves in the plumbing, so, God help you if you need a pump or spa pack because you will have to drain the entire tub to do that replacement. I hope you find this review helpful & I hope Bullfrog Spas goes under for their dishonesty.
