Bold Moving and Storage Reviews

I am convinced clowns fabricate their reviews. There is just no way this is anything other than an unprofessional, untrained collection of thieves from top to bottom. Their movers showed up late and were missing a man, who decided not to show up for work. Their packing service sucks. Unprofessional and totally disorganized. They are not capable of tagging boxes and packing them on a truck without losing and/or breaking a third of your stuff. I estimate my losses at $3,000, of which they reimbursed ZERO. I paid these scumbags $4,500 for the move and ONLY because I have a good heart, I paid out $500 in tips to the crews. Had I known they were that incompetents, I would have paid zero tips and sued this mocking company, which I still might do.

This was the worst moving experience I've ever had. I hired Bold for a move from DC to New York, with about 3 weeks of storage in between. I had asked them to deliver my items at the end of January, but after calling several times I was told less than 48 hours in advance, that the day I want is simply not possible and that maybe they'll come the following week. When the movers did finally show up, it was late at night and my dresser was broken. When I told one of the managers, he yelled at me and made it seem like it wasn't that big of a deal that a $500, relatively new piece of furniture was completely cracked and missing a leg.

This company is not professional at all. The movers arrived late the first day then played with our tv and their phones. The following day they arrived at 10 am and finished at midnight with my help because at 10;30 pm nothing was going great. I packed our stuff. They put our stuff in storage and while we had agreed on a date, delivered it 20 days later. And surprise: a lot of broken and lost objects (3 boxes and two pieces of bathroom furniture plus a step ladder). This company is a nightmare To be avoided.

Bold did a very good job. They were on time, worked hard, and persevered through a couple of unexpected issues not of their making. They cut me some serious slack and gave good advice. Moving is ridiculously stressful. It's never going to go perfectly.

I Booked with Jennifer. She was very helpful and very informative. We told her the day we wanted to move out and Ace and his crew (Brandon, Josh, and Devontae) called ahead of time and showed up on time with smiles and ready to work. They were very efficient and friendly. They executed a flawless move with no damages. They noticed that one of the legs on my dresser was loose and they fixed it in no time. Needless to say our experience with Bold Moving and storage was excellent. Wouldn't have changed a thing about this move. Thank you guys very much.

Had a pleasant conversation with the “scheduler” who said, "We absolutely can pack you up and then deliver a week later at your new home 700 miles away." After that conversation Absolutely nothing went as planned, from communication to day of packing to what happened to my stuff after they took it to the call that said, "We’re delivering a day earlier than agreed," to the night of unloading from 9 PM to 1 AM.

I've moved 3 times in the last 5 years and have dealt with a number of moving companies. Bold Moving and Storage was by far the best moving company I have ever worked with. They took amazing care of all my stuff and worked with me on pick up and drop off times. Another huge difference between Bold and other moving companies was that the quoted price and the actual price were exactly the same. I didn't pay a dime over the original quoted price! If you are moving anywhere, this is the only company to use!

“Relax, It’s Just Stuff” Is what we were repeatedly told this past Saturday July 9th, 2022 when we called the owners of Bold Movers, Josh and Chris, to notify them that the contents of our truck were in complete disarray and the 3 men unpacking it were handling our carefully pack and beloved items with immense carelessness. “Relax, it’s just stuff, we have a claims department that deals with this” was a frequent phrase used, by a MOVING company, a company that exists for this single purpose and states on their website “Moving isn’t just about stuff. It’s about memories.” (**)

The four moving experts who came for the pickup on 6/27 did a sterling job in terms of wrapping, care, and speed. Foreman José was an outstanding organizer. A very impressive performance by all concerned. But, before that, setting a date for the move proved problematic, with the first one, 6/24, which had been suggested by Bold and accepted by me, being cancelled the day before. That was upsetting and finding another date soon after was nerve wracking. Joe, Tom, and Korah were very diligent however and through their effort a suitable date, 6/27, was found just in time. All in all the experience was very trying and I don't think it had to be.

I was moving out of state and had a short window to do so.. finding a reliable, dependable, honest mover was going to be a challenge. I have been my own personal U-Haul 26ft mover before but felt it was too much for this older person now. I contacted a few moving companies and was so impressed with Bold Moving that I hired them. The quote was quite reasonable compared to other options, U Hauls, multiple Pods etc. I spoke with Josh who did a walkthrough via the phone app with me so he could see exactly what I have. I gave him my dates, what I would pack and what I wished Bold Moving to pack.

My wife and I were very pleased with the service we received. Leo, Demetrius and Jason did a great job, were courteous, respectful and did whatever they could to accommodate our needs. The furniture and other items were well packed and were delivered in great shape. Thank you.

I have moved numerous times with big and small movers. By far Bold movers were timely, efficient and VERY COURTEOUS. They took great care in wrapping all the furniture and TVs. They dismantled a huge entertainment center, beds and refrigerator without any complaining. I Highly recommend them. I feel very comfortable using them for storage and the final move to our new home.

Easiest move we've ever made. The crew was professional and responsive to our concerns, taking great care with our belongings. We were out one day and back in the next. Awesome work and timing for a three bedroom home. I highly recommend their services. The attitude of the crew throughout the course of the job was pleasant and attentive.

After serving in the military for 26-years and having them contract my many moves, I was nervous in tackling my first self-contracted move. However, I hit the jackpot with Bold Moving and Storage. From the start--communication was clear and concise. The pick-up went smooth, as was the delivery. There were a few minor damages (there were many during my military moves) that they took care of immediately. I highly recommend anyone planning a move to make the BOLD MOVE!

Friendly crew did a great job. Handled fragile pieces with care. Jaquan was clear as far as the process. Pick up and drop off were on time. Was concerned about small print in contract. There was no issue. Holding my furniture for several days before I could move in was a lifesaver.

This is the second time we have employed Bold Moving and Storage to complete moves from Va to NC and back to Va. The estimate was very thorough and no additional charges during the move. Movers were on time and very professional. Property arrived safely and was assembled correctly. Would recommend to others.

It’s normal to be nervous when making a big move to another state, and it makes all the difference to know that you’re in the hands of experts and caring professionals when you entrust all your belongings to be moved for you. From the moment we connected with Josh, at Bold Moving, we felt comfortable that they were going to take care of the details, and they really did. They reconfirmed the pickup date a week out, and then touched base the day before, to ensure everything was on track (just be sure, when coordinating your move, that if you have a very specific date on which you need to move, you indicate that to them - both for pickup and delivery… very important detail).

I had to relocate a very large home from MD to Southwest FL in a very short time. I inquired with several companies and spoke with Josh. As a former military member and executive level sales and marketing manager myself, I liked his straightforward approach on our initial call. I personally like a straightforward, and honest approach to business. I have seen some less than 5 star ratings on other sites about this company. Most have to do with the direct approach you will get when on the phone. If you are looking for a best friend Bold may not be for the sensitive. The truth is, if you are looking for a no nonsense, hard working team of movers who will take care of your goods, then you truthfully don't need to look elsewhere. Don't waste your valuable time trying to save a dollar. If you have to move, and you want to ensure that your goods make it safely to your next destination. Just call Bold Moving and Storage.

We were extremely satisfied with how Bold Moving and Storage handled our move from Richmond, VA to Lakewood Ranch, Florida. Everything was wrapped and carefully loaded on the truck. When the truck was unloaded, the workers placed boxes in appropriate rooms and put together the bed that we moved. They had a system for packing and unpacking the truck that best utilized the workers' time. I felt like the company had experienced staff. We will use this company again when the need arises.

The recent move that was undertaken by BMS from Ocala FL to NC could not have gone better. From McNeil and his crew in FL to Ibi and Mike in NC, everything was courteous and professional. The crews were on time, respectful, and attended to all our needs without question. It is not very often that a service company exceeds expectations but BMS did just that. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is in need of moving services.

White glove service. Five star. Highly recommend using bold movers. On time to the minute on both ends. Very professional and courteous. Took great care of my move. Reassembled everything on other end. Staff was very good and easy to work with will use them in the future. For and Additional moving needs if I have other moves in my future. Will be recommending to family and friends going forward.

We have had eight moves and this one was the best. Our furniture was picked up and delivered on time and there was no damage. Both crews were fast, courteous, and professional. They cleaned up the rooms so there was no trash or packing materials for us to pickup.
