This review for Bath Planet is after many negative experiences already posted by me. I would post pics, but I'm actually embarrassed that I got taken by this company! This company tricked us into signing a contract so that I would NOT write any more reviews about them, and in return we could be reimbursed (to the home improvement card only) the money we paid out of pocket for the damage to our garage due to faulty pipe work performed by their installer. That was signed by us back in January 2024, and we were never reimbursed.
They called me at least 3 times a day to get us to sign that contract. When we finally broke down and signed it, we never heard from them again. I only write reviews if the service we received was great, or THE WORST! Bath Planet is the worst experience we have had, and we remodeled our entire house using multiple companies! The other companies all received great reviews. Minus the frameless door which they contract out to install (and is the best part of the shower), and the plumbing, my husband and I could have done this ourselves. Did I mention I had to fight for that door which they claimed I did not order. Do not trust this company! Bath Planet does not even deserve 1 star! Those good reviews are probably posted by friends and family!
We are truly sorry to hear about your ongoing frustration and the negative experiences you've had with us.
We’ve escalated your case to our customer support team to ensure that this is thoroughly investigated and addressed.

Good evening, This is an update to my complaint that was answered on November 15, 2024. I called on November 15, 2024 and talked to Ashley and she said she would put a request in the system. I called the same day and talked to Chris. He said the issue was sent to the Vice-President however he hadn't heard anything. On Monday, November 21, 2024 I called again and talked to Cindy. I received a text later that evening @ 6:06pm stating that Bathplanet will be coming out the next day, Friday, November 22nd, to service the shower. No one showed or called. This was after my husband stayed home all day waiting for the installer.
I called back on Monday, November 25th. I talked to Cindy. and she said another message will be sent and she apologized for anyone not showing up. She couldn't explain why. As of Friday, November 29, 204, no one from BathPlanet has contacted us about the leaking shower. I can be reached at **. Very unprofessional service as our leak has gotten worse.

In one sentence We don't recommend this company for any of your projects. These guys took 90% of the funds for the project and left the job in between. Sales man, Tony, turned his back on the agreed items as per the contract. We were very upfront on the asks for the bathroom, he didn't enter all the details in the contract and later started to undercut the project. They promised to wrap up all work in 3 days and then later took more than a week.
We had to put this house on rent and were referred by Bath Planet about this company, now we are stuck in limbo and have to secure someone else for the remainder of the work. We gave them premium price over others. Feel free to email (**) me before you decide to give them a check of your hard earned money. Better keep lawyers handy if you plan to deal with them. Think twice before you pay and sign anything with them.

Went to Bath Planet to arrange an installation for my home and my in-laws. My in-laws have had nothing but hassle. Orders were half done and shortcuts taken. In attempting to rectify this, and add to ours, they cancelled our contract for no reason and completed our in-laws installation with the wrong parts and poor repairs and reinstallation done so poorly, as shown in pictures. They were willing to install over mold and mildew. Definitely not worth the price. Salesman accused my mother-in-law of being an overdramatic woman when she complained.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will be reaching out to this affiliated dealer regarding their handling of this project with your in-laws.

We visited with Colin from Bath Planet on October 7, 2024. We were not in a position to make a shower purchase from him at that time. We felt that he was very knowledgeable on the product and gave an excellent presentation.
Thank you for your time and your honesty! You know who to call when the time is right.

Our salesman Justin represented Bath Planet well. His presentation to us of all our options from walls, to floors, to a doors and accessories, was well done. We asked him about discounts for seniors and vets, which he kindly added to our estimate. We also had to inform him of the possibility of our living status changing due to health issues, and the fact we needed to use as much of our limited income as we could to live on. He was very understanding and worked with us. Since we have these life changes coming up, we had to postpone getting our shower installed. In my opinion, Bath Planet is very understanding, and willing to work with their customers. I appreciate them and would recommend them.

I got the siding and the gutters done and I added in the rest of the bathroom. The service itself was great. The people were all friendly and a couple of them went a little over and above what I think they had to do. I was very happy with the siding because they did it the way I wanted it but I feel like I should've gotten the whole bathroom done with the 20,000-some odd that I paid. I had to put in my own medicine cabinet but it's not really that important because I paid less for the medicine cabinet than if I had purchased it through them. Also, I was seeing a lot of ugly starting off in my bathroom and the walls were starting to peel from the humidity but now, I don't have to worry about mold in the back of the shower.
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your Bath Planet experience. You're correct, you should have no issues with mold behind your shower walls now! Our walls are non-porous and even mold resistant.

The sales rep was excellent and the installation of the walk-in shower went well. The only complaint that I have is I thought the shower doors were gonna be taller because we had requested that. But I don't feel they're any taller than normal shower doors. My husband's 6'3, so we asked for larger doors. He's also had to recaulk the shower because some of the caulk was coming out. We had requested somebody to come out and give us a different showerhead, but that never happened.
Thank you for the honest review of our dealer's services. We will be reaching out to this business about your request for the shower head and to take a look at the caulk as well.

I purchased a deluxe tub from Bath Planet and they came in to replace everything. There were two men installers and installation was supposed to take a couple of days, but parts were missing. So it ended up taking a couple of weeks. But the two installers were really good. They did an excellent job.
We appreciate your patience while we attained the missing parts. We hope you are now loving your new bath.

We worked with Bath Planet's sister company previously and we were pleased with their work. We then purchased some acrylic and the vanity thru Bath Planet. The installers showed up on time and they finished the job quickly. They did a really good job. Before, we had an old cast iron tub, a shower-like insert, and a smaller vanity. Now, we have a fiberglass tub, the acrylic walls with glass doors for the shower, and we have a bigger vanity. The materials look to be pretty high quality, too.
We appreciate you choosing Bath Planet for your home. Our material is some of the most durable out there and should last you a lifetime now!

In the beginning, I had some issues with the way everything was installed and set. I was not happy. Bath Planet tried to come back a few times to fix the errors that were made by the original installer. Finally, I asked them to remove everything and do it all over again, which they agreed at that time. They came, tore everything out, put new stuff in. Every time I gave them a call for service, they came and did it.
I was not home at that time of installation date. They explained to me everything. They would do everything in one day. No one was supposed to take a shower or anything for 24 hours, which we did. And when I got home that night, that was where I saw the mistakes. If I was home on the day of installation, things would have turned out different on the original installation. My wife takes care of our grandkids, so she wasn't able to pay attention to whatever they were doing. But they were able to fix it.
I would go a different way the next time. I would go with a bathtub-less setup because there is less maintenance involved. This material that they use is high maintenance. So, if I don't keep up with it, it can get stain. We spend much time keeping it clean. If it was a different setup, it would be less maintenance. But what is done is done. I have it for four years now and it still holds up.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us an honest review, it means a lot to us. We appreciate your patience with our rocky start and the first installation. We are sorry to hear that there seems to be more upkeep than expected. Our material is should be very durable and often is low-maintenance as well but stains can occur. We do have cleaning instructions on our website if you ever feel the need to refer to it.

When Bath Planet installed a walk-in shower for us, two people came out and it took them a day and a half. They were both really amazing and considerate of the house. They laid tarp stone everywhere and they cleaned up everything. Their work was good. Before, it was a really ugly and stupid 40-year old bathroom. But now, it looks better and it's totally transformed. I'd recommend Bath Planet.
It was about time that old bathroom got a fresh update! Thank you for choosing Bath Planet to be the team to help you with the task.

A few people had quoted me saying if the floor got damaged, they were gonna charge me more for that. If there was an issue with the plumbing, they were gonna charge me more for that as well. With Bathroom Pros, it was a set price which I liked. They also told me they could do it in a day. The installers got here 15 minutes after the scheduled time, which was fine. They checked in with me the whole time, showing me each step. They laid down all these mats and showed me all of the guts behind the tub, how everything works and how they were installing everything. They made sure I was okay with the tub before they installed it. You wouldn't think it's something that's gonna be done in a day but it was. It was amazing to watch the whole thing happen in one day. It was very quick, step-by-step. They seemed really organized. They got there around 9:00 and were done at 7:00.
I got a 19-inch soaker tub with the acrylic walls and a shower. I got the showerhead and the faucet replaced as well. It looks great. I've been using it every day and it's great quality. I was worried as things settled that there might be issues. But everything's been perfect. It's been the same as when it was installed. I had a great experience from the sales setup and going through all the options to scheduling everything to installation and now the use of it. It's far exceeded my expectations and I've already told so many people about it.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review and for recommending us to others! We are glad we could be a part of your home and able to install products that should look and feel brand new for a lifetime.

I saw the gentleman from Bath Planet who was doing some work for somebody else and I asked for his business card. I called them then two gentlemen came out. We talked and they looked at everything. I knew I needed some work because I had somebody do some work in the bathroom and they didn't do a good job. So, Bath Planet had redone my bathroom shelf, the toilet, and the sink. They had also redone my shower, my floor, and my window in my bathroom.
They first came out to work on the bathroom floor. They worked on the sealing since water was going into the wall because the people who previously worked on my bathroom didn't do the sealing around the bottom of the floor part of the shower. Bath Planet's reps then did the walls and the shower. They put a handicap rack up there and a new seat in the bathroom. There was also another guy who came and did the window. I gave them a recommendation and I've told others that they did a really good job in my bathroom.
We are happy to have helped make your bathroom all it could be for you. We greatly appreciate you recommending us to the people around you.

We saw Bath Planet at a home show and out of the two people that we had come out, we picked them because they could offer us what we needed. We had them install a shower insert with the glass doors. The turnaround time was short and the people they got to do the installation were wonderful.

Our walk-in shower was installed in August 2022. It seemed too expensive, but they did it in a day and it looked great. Less than a year later the white caulk had turned yellow. Then we had a leak in the crawl space below that we couldn't locate. When the bathroom drywall and floor became stained with mold, we tore out the damaged drywall and found water running off the base behind the front wall panel. The lower caulk was not adhered to the walls, only the base, and was letting water run behind it.
Since we were well past the one year warranty, I fixed it myself by tearing out the caulk in one long string, dried everything out and cleaned both surfaces. I then installed a new bead of premium caulk. Leak fixed. Repaired the drywall and floor underlayment. Now, the front corner shelf is coming loose because the caulk is failing up there. I plan to remove and replace all of the original caulk and properly install good caulk. Very disappointed for the price we paid and the problems we've had. I would not recommend Bath Planet.
We are sorry to hear that the installation did not live up to your expectations of us, and what we expect of our showers as well. Thank you for taking the time to leave an honest account of your Bath Planet experience.

Bath Planet is a total con job: The salesman neglected to send a copy of the contract, and misrepresented that their service is performed by dedicated meticulous Bath Planet employees who safeguard the work environment. Not. Three itinerant hacks in a rusty unmarked van trashed my two bathrooms, wrecked the irreplaceable tile floors, severely scratched a vanity, and created a dust bowl in the adjoining bedroom and a mess on my entry steps and walkway. The "installation manager" ignored my escalating complaints. Not only is their workmanship inferior but their pricing is outrageously inflated. Don't fall for their fake 5-Star reviews. Look elsewhere.
We understand there were several issues during the install process of your installation. We would like to reach out to this specific office to let them know about your experience. Despite the problems that occurred along the way, has the project already been completed, or is it still ongoing?

A major disappointment with Bath Planet. After 7 years of use. The swing out door on my stand-alone shower became misaligned to the frame. I called Bath Planet and they referred me to their repair team. After multiple text and telephone exchanges they indicated I was out of their 5-year warranty. They indicated they could to do nothing for me and suggested I try to contact a local handyman for repair. Even more disappointing was that they could not even find the specifications of my install. I would not recommend them if you plan on having a showier installed by Bath Planet and will use it for over 5 years.

Overall all the workers were great. Work was done quickly. However, make sure every little thing is in writing. I was promised nice trim at the top of the shower to fill the gap between the walls and ceiling. Instead, I got what appeared to be scraps off another job. Then I was promised at least a fix on that that would look a little better but that didn't happen either. This job was 14,000 dollars I at least would have liked what I was promised. Between these people and Home Depot, I would shop around first. Or make sure EVERY LITTLE THING IS IN WRITING CAUSE YOU CAN'T TRUST THEIR WORD. EITHER ONE OF THEM.

It turns out I was wrong about a few things. Chris (Operations Manager) came out and explained things to me and will make the remaining concerns right.
Original Review: June 13, 2024
I contracted with Bath Planet/Sho Pro for my primary bathroom remodel to include a new bigger shower, LVP flooring, a new double vanity and fixtures, and installation of a quiet ceiling fan/light. The large shower was supposed to have 2 "wands" (shower heads that detach from the wall for use on the body) the main one at the shower head and an additional wand at the shower bench. They did not install the second want at the shower bench. During the installation I asked the installer to use drop cloths, he did not. I asked him to cover the floor to protect it during installation, he did not. He damaged 2 of my homes' doors bringing in and removing items. He chipped my expensive one-piece commode.
One of the sinks leaked the first time I used it and I had to call a plumber on the weekend to fix it ($89.) The shower pan sticks out 5-6 inches further than our agreed measured size due to adaptations the installer said he had to make to accommodate my home's pipes. I had 2 operations manager take measurements, why don't they account for these contingencies? Not once did a supervisor come during my project to inspect the work and monitor progress. However, the worker received numerous phone calls from the office asking when he would be done. The installer had trouble getting the ceiling fan/light installed.
After he left at 7:30 PM, I found out my bedroom and closet lights no longer worked. This has to be related. I emailed Bath Planet/Sho Pro to inquire if the shower's proximity to the toilet met Indiana's building code. They did not reply. I recently had my roof and gutters replaced and the supervisor was on site 2 times a day, taking photographs, asking and answering questions, ensuring the job was done according or in excess of the contract requirements. I am expecting Bath Planet representatives to come to my home today to discuss my concerns. I am a dissatisfied customer.
We are happy to hear that Chris came out and was able to resolve and/or began resolutions to the issues you mentioned. Please make sure to stay in contact with him if you have any further concerns with your new Bath Planet shower.

The sales people were very good and courteous, and the pricing was better than I anticipated. The front door part was not as expensive by quite a bit that I've been quoted in the past years for replacing the front door. So we were okay with the sales presentation and just went with it. I had a front door and a walk-in shower installed by Bath Planet. The shower took a little over a day, which was fine. The installer did the shower installation and also did a floor repair on my half bath. That was all included in the price, which I felt good about.
The whole project took pretty close to two days. The installer was working by himself. He did excellent work except the shower doors. The outside one would hang up and it was rough, and it came off track once, opening it up because I’ve had a bunch of gummy stuff up on the railing and on the rollers too for just on the outside door. So he came out and tried to clean it up but didn't quite get all of it. So a couple days later, I just cleaned it all off myself, because what he noticed that the two rollers on the door also were all gummed up with some type of a real sticky, gummy stuff.
We kept the shower pretty simple. We have one grab bar in one corner unit. The main thing that bothers us about the shower is that we weren't told that the floor would be concave. I just expected the shower to be flat. My wife and I are both in our 70s, and we've both had trouble adjusting to the concave floor. It throws us off balance a bit sometimes. Also, our relative said he slipped and lost his balance in there a couple times too. I asked about it, and I was explained it's like that so all the water runs toward the center and away from the corners so it doesn't get a mold buildup. But the corners are not square. They're angled down, so I don't understand that. We’re not happy with the floor of the shower.
I love the door. The installers didn't speak hardly any English, so they had a little trouble getting it all squared. But it's good. I had James come out and he did a couple of minor adjustments. They didn't ask about changing the key to match our other house keys and I was told they should have done that. But overall, the pricing is good. The shower installer is real good. I'm a perfectionist, and so a couple of things were off a little bit. But he did an overall good job, plus a really good job on the half bath flooring. I already recommended him to a couple of friends before we had a couple of minor issues. But Bath Planet is still a good company.
We appreciate you taking your time to leave an honest review of our products and services, Danny. We are glad to hear most of the experience was a pleasant one. We will work on describing our shower bases more clearly to homeowners in the future as to make sure everyone knows what they will be receiving.

The guy that came out there and installed it was good. He was very professional, cleaned it all up, and hauled away the old stuff. I was impressed. Bath Planet would give you a good deal and they do great work.

Will reach out to the correct company, thank you.
Original Review: April 4, 2024
I implore you to find a different company to do your bath remodel. It's a bit of a long story but I recommend reading it to save yourself a lot of hassle later. Keep in mind throughout, this is the very first time I felt the need to ever make a bad review of anything online. It started fine, with a salesman for measurements and a quote. We let them know *extensively* that we had a family member with a disability and thus would require an elongated shower so that they could use it, to the length of 72" rather than the 60" standard.
Everything seemed fine up to that point and the salesman asked us to leave a good review for them with Google reviews. The salesman came out a second time to take a second set of measurements as an alteration needed to be made to the side the showerhead/drain was on (not a big deal). The salesman took pictures of the 72" measurement using a tape measure and marked with tape the length (pictures that we have seen thanks to the extremely kind, helpful, and amazing contractors), as well as explaining the size of the shower to us.
This is where we made our mistake. We got complacent with the explanation and didn't thoroughly check the contracts, which had drafted with the standard size of the 60" instead of the 72" the salesman had quite literally marked onto the floor. When the contractors arrived and we called the "sales manager" to explain the discrepancy. Beyond the "should have read the contract" and "nobody lied to you" lines made infamous by stereotypical salesman everywhere (he actually said those lines, I'm not joking), he came up with what sounds like an excuse so ridiculous I almost couldn't believe it.
Folks, this man tried to say that they measured out to 72" instead of 60" in the photos because there "are lights in the room". What? It's 2024, how many bathrooms are you renovating with no lights?! More so, why does the existence of lights change a measurement of length? If the room didn't have any lights, would you then have decided to only measure to 60"?
If they were worried about ceiling electricity (of which there were no lights directly above where we wanted the renovation) then why was the measurement photos with the markings on the floor? I don't see any lights on the floor. That's not to mention this "sales manager" was neither at our house for any of the measurements, nor did he explain why having lights in the bathroom meant the salesman needed to measure out exactly 72".
If the salesman knew it was supposed to be 60", why not just measure and mark out to 60"? I mean really, just take a moment to think over what I said again to soak up the absurdity. "The reason we measured, marked, and took photos of the exact measurements of 72" the salesman told you you were supposed to get, was because your bathroom contains lights." Did you think that maybe all of the photos are taken and marked at 72" because that's the size we were told by the person taking those pictures, and even the person taking photos (same salesman both times) thought it was 72"?
When he informed us it would be approximately another $1000 to change the shower to the 72" length we had wanted, I told him that I needed some time to discuss with the co-signers. I hadn't even gotten halfway through with discussing it with them before the "sales manager" texted the contractor (again, the contractor was a cool person at least) to tell the contractor that we were going to have the size increased. Jeez man, the contractor was literally right there with us, of course we saw the text with you seemingly gloating about your victory of having us pay another thousand. Maybe it wasn't a gloat and was just keeping the contractor informed, but they were literally right there in front of us, and we hadn't even made a decision, let alone signed a new contract at the time.
The sales manager gave me a corporate number to call to get back to him. I called it and asked the woman who answered and confirmed it was Bath Planet if there was a number for complaints. She gave me a number for a completely different company who works with cleaning gutters. I'm not making this up, this SNAFU happened in real time as the poor contractor tried to help me find who to actually contact. In the end, I didn't find the right number to contact for corporate complaints, so decided to do the next best thing and inform others.
Overall, I'm almost certainly going to pay them to just finish the work with the correct size because it would be too much of a hassle to do anything else. Don't be like me though. As a disclaimer, this is the truth as I understand/saw/heard it, and as it was explained to me. There could be some sort of miscommunication going on. If there is though, do you really want to go with a company that cant understand or explain the issue? Do you want to go with a company with a sales manager who thinks you are so dumb that you'll believe anything he shovels you on the spot? I'll be telling anyone I know about this fiasco and they can come up with their own opinions about the company. I'm perfectly fine paying another 1k for the fix if it means that others can avoid the issues I ran into.

I got a shower combo. The installers came in the morning and took out the old one, and they kept working all through the day. They really worked hard, and around six o'clock, they were done. I love the quality. I would tell my friends to give them a call. They did a great job. I could have gotten the project done a little bit cheaper somewhere else, but they were such hard workers and I would much rather pay that price and have them do anything else I need.
Thank you for taking the time to review. We love hearing how our design process was easy to use and helped you make a decision on the right choices for your bathroom remodel with us. It was great working with you and your home.

Bath Planet installed the surround in my bathroom. They are reasonably priced, show up when they say they're going to, and careful in your home. They covered the floors and made sure they didn't track in any mess. It was quality work.
Thank you for choosing Bath Planet to be a part of your home. We are happy to have met they expectations you have of our installers entrusted with taking care of your house. It was a pleasure working with you.
