My experience with Allegiance was less than horrendous!!!! All of my items were broken, moldy, stolen and the delivery was 10 days after the guaranteed delivery date! None of the employees spoke English and the dispatch person was severely disrespectful!!! I would not hire them to move a pencil across the street!!! Unacceptable business!!! All the photos of my mom were stolen along with our social security cards, birthday certificates and checkbooks!!! I am totally distraught!!! Please, I implore you not to hire them if you value your belongings and memories!!!

I originally signed up for service with their sales representative Michael. He indicated at the time of purchase that he would be my point of contact for everything rescheduling, adjusting dates, delivery, etc. He gave me his personal cell phone to ensure I was able to reach him. My company offered me a position locally stopping the need to move. I called, texted messaged, and emailed Michael 3-4 weeks prior to the anticipated service. He never returned my calls and ultimately ghosted me. As I had paid a deposit for the service I would have been happy with the 50% required by their contract but another promise he made was that they would refund 75%. They made false claims and used deceptive business practices to hold and keep the entire deposit. Do not use this company. They may offer a competitive rate but is more than likely built on false promises too.

Complete scam. Pricing changed when they arrived to pick up and then stated that I could not cancel because it was nonrefundable. Then demanded cash because it was same day delivery and did not pick up more than half of what was in the contract. Total scam and extremely disappointed.

Hired Allegiance Moving and Storage in lake worth, florida. They quoted 9000 and we provided a full inventory list. When random men showed up to pack after six hour delay they said it would be $19,000. Allegiance customer service was rude and would not help. We could not pay 19,000 so had to put furniture in storage. Allegiance pulled close to 5,000 out of our checkbook two weeks before move date. Performed no service, won’t refund money, is lying and threatening to sue as for supposed slander.

I would not recommend the company. They were not terrible. They were not accurate about how the move would go-that is what happens when you broker services. There were not big issues but it just was not done well. I will move myself next time. The other thing that prompted this review is they destroyed some of the boxes I packed including plastic totes-luckily my items inside survived and they turned my cedar chest on its end to move it. Who does that? All of the items in the chest were tossed like a salad-I had glass items too. Just careless.

This is the most distrustful company I have ever seen in the United States. Their Senior Relocation Analyst & Logistics Manager - John ** will assured me with a quote# ** for $2028.00 for relocation from MD to TX. The quote was for 300 ft3 and listed a Sofa Set, TV, TV Table, Coffee Table, Bins, Office Chair, Office Table, 2 Bed Frames with footboard, and 22 medium Boxes.
When the movers arrived on the day of pickup (the company was Imovers LLC NJ) they said only 33 boxes occupied the 300 ft3. I repeatedly called their customer service line and Natalie (Allegiance Customer representative) agreed "I was paying for dead air since the movers do not stack up the 3rd row". Imagine their estimation capability was off by 40%. I had to leave behind 70% of the items listed in the quote. I had to leave my Sofa Set, TV Table, Coffee Table, Office Chair, Office Table, Bins. On top of that, I had to pay an additional $838 to Imovers LLC NJ to include bed frames and TV. Imovers lost 5 boxes and parts of bed frame. They were compensating with 0.60$ per pound. Imagine you getting $31.50 as reimbursement from imovers for bed frames worth $900.
These people are cheaters, they want your money and will provide no support when movers arrive and rip you off in money. Not only that, they will not provide any support on disputes, issues, or loss and damage of goods. They are a broking company and do not account for any support or quality service of movers. Don’t waste your money, don’t go with this company. Go with the actual moving company and not crook brokers like these! Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: 2928USD.

Allegiance appears to be a moving company. They are NOT, they are a broker. We found this out from the company they passed our move to. That company is called "we care for you". From our experience they do not care at all. They came and loaded our household and brought it to storage. We called 10 days ahead to schedule receipt at our new home. We were told they could not give us a date as they had to locate a driver. Calls to try to find out when we would receive our furniture were useless as all numbers led to one person who could/would not give us any info.
Finally 3 days late truck arrived. Furniture was unloaded and many pieces were damaged or outright broken. We lost some valuable pieces in this transaction. Very disheartening as we felt Allegiance was dishonest in not revealing the true story. They will tell you, I'm sure, that it is all spelled out in the paperwork. Good luck trying to read and UNDERSTAND that mumbo jumbo. We would never recommend them to anyone

I hired this company last Saturday. I paid. I was told they would call me 48 hrs before the day. Due to the lack of contact I called and emailed them with no response. The day before of our arranged contracted moving day I had two lost phone calls while operating. I called them as soon as I finished my surgery and they told me move was cancelled because of the lack of response. These incompetent people do not have a clue about moving in NYC. You can’t move any way you want. And... they don’t want to return the money. Insane. So shady and basically con artists. Don’t hire them.

DO NOT USE. THIS COMPANY TAKES ADVANTAGE OF ELDERLY PEOPLE! They make promises they can’t deliver, don’t communicate all the fine details and hidden fees, and add last minute charges to the invoice when your back is against the wall and have no other options but to sign on the dotted line. They are only the middleman for the actual moving company, and don’t answer their phones when in need.
My parents were closing on their home in Florida and having their belongings moved to Maine. They were told this moving company would be cheaper than renting a U-Haul and was quoted a very reasonable rate. Every conversation resulted in the quote rising little by little. On the day of the move with the truck in their driveway, the movers added another $1,417 to the already ridiculously high invoice and forced my parents to sign the agreement as they had no other option/backup plan and needed to vacate the property for the closing of their home.
My parents are retired and on a very fixed income. My dad is undergoing Chemo and constantly sick, weak, and drained. My mom, while trying to hold things together, was devasted to see the final bill which was almost 6 thousand dollars when everything was all said and done. After multiple phone conversations with several staff members to include the customer service manager, Shannon, the only compensation they offered was a $300 reimbursement. After promising the refund, it took multiple weeks and numerous phone calls to get them to pay. DON’T USE THEM!

This company was the BIGGEST joke/liars of all time. Mike S quoted me a price, took my deposit. Then, 3 days before my move he contacted me back with an "updated quote". EXACT same furniture and number of boxes originally...price increase was $4000!!!! And they had my deposit to "hold my spot". He said "lose some furniture and boxes or pay that price." I went through and purged some items. When he didn't call back as he said he would for an updated list and quote I called customer service 3 different times. He FINALLY called me back 2 days later. REFUSED to go over the list with me and update my quote. So here I am ready to move and wondering what's going on. A customer service rep called me again after 2 more phone calls and emails asking for help. They all listened....but did NOTHING. Then she stopped taking my calls. Clearly they have a personnel problem!!!
So now I'm 5 days delayed on my move and my new job in another state. Allegiance BROKERED OUT my move. So Mike didn't care that he lied about the price, about the pick up date, and that he said I'd have my stuff in 5-7 days. He also said that I could pay ALL 3 payments on a CREDIT CARD!!! NOT TRUE!!! Deposit on CC, then cash or certified check the rest of the pick up and delivery!!! And....could be up to 21 days! So I paid thousands more AFTER I pulled stuff off the list, was 5 days late getting moved, and fortunately the company that REALLY moved me, felt bad about all the lies I'd been told and got me my stuff sooner than 21 days. DO NOT USE THIS ALLEGIANCE!!!

I moved from TX to AZ. I had booked a moved in January to have all my furniture etc. in AZ on March 1st, which it arrived the 10th. The sales guy on the phone schedule 2/24 for pick-up which he said was would arrive on the 1st. Then company rescheduled the pick-up for 25th, which I had question it and I was assured by the customer service manager it would be there on the 1st. So when I had called on the 1st to check where my furniture is I got the run around from in somewhere in the state of AZ but don't know the time it will be delivered. Finally, I was told it never left TX.
I called back to customer service manager who was rude and said I should have guaranteed my move by paying an extra couple hundred dollars. BUT NO, YOU DIDN'T. So in the same breath said if you pay me the guaranteed fee, I can have your furniture there tomorrow. I asked her how was that possible since it had left TX and it's a 14-hour drive? Needless to say, my furniture and when through 3 different sub-movers and when I had received my items they were broken, smashed, furniture chipped - few thousand dollars in damage. I had put in a claim with pictures and what everything is worth. And today I got an email that said good new we settle your claim and we will send you a check for $60. Really!!!! Anyone looking for movers I would stay away for Allegiance Moving & Storage - they will take you for ride and I don't mean your furniture.

Worse company ever! I feel like I was scammed and their customer service is HORRIBLE!!! Both times I spoke to customer service the lady kept talking over me and spoke to me as if I was dumb! The both calls definitely got heated but the second call to "customer service" was definitely the worse! I said a few choice words say to myself (b-word), after I asked to speak with the manager and I thought she was connecting me, only to find out she was still on the phone and decided to match me and returned the "favor" using the B-word, now I truly wish I did call her out directly but nevertheless, she hung up and I called back and the manager picks up the phone to tell me she won't speak to me unless I apologies to her rude employee! As if!!! I hung up and did not answer the call back!
This whole experience was terrible from the start! When I called on 4-20 I asked if we could have the delivery scheduled on Sunday the 28th. I was assured it could and proceeded to let the rep (Michael) know what items I believed would be moved. He gave me a quote and I paid the deposit. The company started calling me on that Wednesday but we didn't connect until Friday 4-26. I was then told the drivers would be coming a day early (27th) I told him that wasn't correct, that I requested for the 28th. I was then placed on hold so that he could "check" to see if he could confirm if they had any available drivers for Sunday. Ultimately, the rep said they didn't have a crew for Sunday and that the movers would come Saturday between 3-5p. I then hung up and my husband had me call back to specifically ask when they would deliver the furniture and he said they would within the next business day.
When the movers came they stated the booker "Allegiance" listed the square cubic feet at a size that didn't match what I said we would need to move. He goes out and calls his manager and came back with a $5600 quote. I asked why not just move what they quoted me for initially. Apparently, even with that I wouldn't be able to move much! We finally settled on what would move and then the driver asked when did I want the delivery to arrive. I asked him how long would they be able to bring it? He said it varies but I can request a date. I asked for Monday or Tuesday. He said he would note it and someone would call me Sunday or Monday. On Tuesday, I called Allegiance to confirm when the furniture would arrive. The rep asked my name and then gave me a dispatch number to call. She even told me to wait until after 10a to call. When I called the phone rung and went to a voicemail.
I called a couple of times and then later in the day called Allegiance to confirm if the number I got was correct. The "Customer Service Rep" looked my information up and then proceeded to tell me that there's a shortage of drivers so the dispatcher is out in the field and that my furniture would not be delivered this week as they have a 7 business turnaround minimum and up to a 30 day maximum delivery timeframe! This was a shirker to me since I was initially asked when I wanted to have it delivered! The distance is within 3 hours away so the likelihood of them delivering the furniture within 3 days made sense to me! That's when the rep began speaking over me and placing me on mute whenever I spoke. She spoke to me as if I wasn't able to comprehend what she was saying (mentioning the contract details) I stood firm to clarify this whole experience has been terrible since its inception.
It seems she was uninterested in my thoughts on the matter... that's when I said, "We'd never see eye to eye on this matter," she agreed. This whole interaction was totally uncalled for especially since all I wanted to do was to be acknowledged that there were mistakes made and for this person to express some empathy about how they dropped the ball! I will never use any moving service ever again just because of how I was treated! There is no excuse for a "professional" to treat anyone as such! We are still waiting for our furniture and I don't know when we will get our property at this point!

Allegiance = scam. I wish I had read these reviews before I used them. 1. I spoke with Salesperson George **. I read line by line what the other people quoted me. He said “you don’t need to tell me the boxes.” I get my quote and he says I have to book right away. So I do because it was a great price. I text him later “I see it’s an estimate. What would make my $4200 quote go up?” Him “this is your price. It won’t go up. Unless you buy more furniture.” Fast forward to 4 days before my pickup. Allegiance calls to ask if I’ve verified my containers. The guy asks me to email my list. I do. He comes back and says it’s an additional $2600. We go round and round and they won’t honor what their salesperson said. Even said he’s likely to get fired.
Fast forward to today - Streamline moving company comes. Charges me an additional $1300!! Allegiance said packing would be $600. Streamline $800+. College hunks and allegiance say 705 cubic feet. Streamline says 875! From the original estimate we didn’t take a couch. 2 bookshelves. All our clothes and the 40 boxes of shoes in the original quote. So we remove all that and STILL end up 200 cubic feet over. And $3800 more than the original price?!?! And looking at what Allegiance sent streamline they still didn’t include several large items despite me sending them an itemized list.
Scam, scam, scam. No way would we have used this moving company had we known. Salesperson lies to get the sale and then you get screwed when you are at the day of move and have no choice (Streamline movers that came themselves were so nice and said he has to deal with this every day and he often wants to quit because Allegiance lies to their customers). Will be seeking action against allegiance and their fraudulent activities.

If you like getting ripped off then go ahead and use Allegiance Moving. I got a quote from them to Move from NY to NC including storage. I made sure to list every item, I measured each box and counted them. Every item was listed on the estimate. When the movers arrived even before seeing everything they proceeded to tell me that the price would be $4,000 more. Allegiance under quotes everyone else to get you to sign with them, and then subcontracts to other companies who charge you more. At that point your hands are tied and you have to pay their fees. When I tried calling customer service to see what could be done I had difficulty reaching someone, and when I did speak with someone they basically said there is nothing they can do. I do not recommend you use them, please beware!!!

We paid our nearly $3,000 deposit with this company (who is NOT a moving company, they simply outsource the work to third parties) for our 2 bedroom apartment move from DC to Denver. We were originally quoted $5,500 for the whole move. Three days before the move, a representative Mike called us, we shared our updated inventory (which included only adding on 10 boxes) and then were informed that our quote was now $7,300. When we expressed shock over this, he snapped at us for being surprised and tried to justify the cost by claiming we had greatly increased our volume.
When we later that evening asked for time to review and for insurance coverage options, he texted back that since we 'neglected' to add insurance coverage on prior to 3 days in advance of the move, that was no longer an option to us. He then said that since we had not signed the updated quote, they would refuse to pack anything more onto the truck than what we had originally be quoted for.
The morning before the move, we were frantic and tried calling customer service to speak with Jamie, the rep who had provided us the initial $5,500 quote. We were told by the senior manager that we were not allowed to speak to him, that we could only speak to her, and that nothing they had done was wrong. She interrupted us and raised her voice at us multiple times. When we told them firmly that we were going to back out and forfeit our deposit, she harassed us via text message claiming our information was entirely wrong. We have screenshots of texts from Mike, the sales rep, and recordings of phone calls to refute their claims.
All in, we lost a significant amount of money with this company and had to scramble to find a new solution a day before a cross-country move. Nothing about this company is legitimate. Others here have had even worse experiences with lost and damaged items, items taking over a month to arrive, and quotes doubling or tripling once the movers arrived. I wish we had not lost so much money, time, and energy on this company, but in the long run I am certain things would have been even worse had we moved forward with them.
Please do yourself a favor and do NOT book any services with them. After significant last-minute research, I found much better options in the following companies that I would suggest:-Piece of Cake Movers
-POD Containers
-U-Box Containers

This company will NOT stand behind what they say. They hounded me for months and then I made sure there was a stipulation that said I could get my deposit back if I didn't move. When I didn't move I got hung up on, laughed at and then hung up on. They refuse to refund the money, had to go to my credit company for help. You talk to one person and then they are always in the field. Then You get a second person and poof they are gone! Then another and another. Keep your money in your pocket till you know for sure. Spend more on other companies, at least they are legit! If I could give them no stars I would. An unhappy consumer who got ripped off!

The initial quote was HALF of the final payment. Once we gave the itemized quote the quote was still only 80% of the final payment. They totally left off cost per flight, distance from the door and packaging all the items that they didn't want to leave outside of a box (Their packaging costs are DOUBLE what you can get at UHAUL). Not only that, but the movers of course give an "updated" quote once they see the items and of course, even after an itemized quote and many items being smaller than their name, they increased the price again another 20%. If you aren't well versed in moving, these guys will basically scam you with a low quote and you will end paying an average price for a move and *forget* to disclose many costs and potential increases. Absolutely avoid if you can.

Does not guarantee pickup or delivery dates. Missed their delivery window by days. Apologized and kept making promises they couldn't keep. By the time we gave up and hired a real moving company, they had already handed us off to what must have been their third truck/company. They play hot potato with your contract, no guarantee of when it will be picked up or dropped off. And your deposit is non-refundable if they no show, because pickup dates are not guaranteed. I must have spoke to six different people on the phone.
They promise, promise they will be there at 8 am. Then the driver calls at 8:30 to say that he's in a town an hour away and that they haven't even picked up the truck yet, when they are already two days late. Driver has no knowledge of our commitment dates or our situation, he's just a subcontractor getting screwed the same way we are. No.

Firstly, DO use companies like **. You may pay a little more, but guarantee your items will be safe and preserved. Also, check their reviews and I regret not using them in the first place. Allegiance is a broker and their sole focus is to get your money, then wipe their hands with you. After this, you're at the mercy of horrible moving companies (like Seventh Generation) that will wreck and destroy your items, whilst trying to screw you over on more costs on the day of the move and drop off. Jason ** talks a good game on the phone, but the other reviews on the company are real. The whole process is set up this way and it's like an operating mafia all to extract from you. Please, please avoid using this company at all costs.

I was outsourced to Seventh Generation Moving and Storage in Los Angeles from Allegiance Moving, which turned out to be a broker who only cared about getting the booking. I wished I had checked the reviews before I proceeded with the move! There are consistently horrible complaints of malicious and egregious damage and loss as well as grossly overcharging beyond their quoted estimates! This may be an industrywide problem -- the mover who picked up my property said "you know how moving companies work, right?" before telling me I had to pay thousands additional after they had taken all my property.
My move with Seventh Generation was 11/19/2023. I wanted to make sure I had a specific delivery date since the building required me to reserve the elevator. They completely disregarded this and showed up whenever they wanted -- and when I could not be there to check my property. Every piece of furniture arrived with severe damages. Every box, including the ones marked "FRAGILE" was crushed beyond recognition. I was told to file a claim with Anthem Claim Management. This company is a front for unscrupulous moving companies whose sole purpose is to limit claims against them. They offered $78 for the extensive and malicious damages but only if I signed and paid to notarize a release stating I was completely satisfied with the outcome. It is a win-win for them -- either way they pay next to nothing for the outrageous behavior of the moving company!
I will never again use a moving company as the industry so rife with corruption and fraud. I would rather sell everything and start from scratch than to go through this experience again! Allegiance washed their hands of everything and took no responsibility for the destruction and loss of my property as well as the considerable emotional trauma I sustained.

We had a very similar experience as many of these other reviews. Initially, we were told very specific information by the sales rep. George **. He was helpful and got back to us in a reasonable manner. He told us that we would be packed on day 1, drive on day 2, and delivered on day 3. This was going to work great with our timeline, but when it came when execution it was anything but. It has been an absolute nightmare trying to scramble to pull together last-minute moving plans in the past 48 hours.
First of all, we were told that it would not be a shared truck. Come to find out, we had to be calculated a specific cubic footage because we would be sharing a truck and couldn't have any surprises. And our initial quote wasn't even correct despite measuring all of our furniture. So when we were talking over the final details the final amount increased by over $1k.
We thought this was all one company who oversaw the moving logistics. Instead, it is a contracting company that then assigns the work to different moving companies. So when it came to trying to get details of our move, the company couldn't provide anything. We were rudely directed to contact the truck dispatch/foreman.
It was nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone to provide guidance. When we finally were able to get in contact we spoke to Mike **. He was absolutely the most disrespectful and unprofessional person we spoke to in this process. He had a terrible attitude and anytime we would ask questions about the updated quote or why the footage increased so much from initial amount, he would be outright rude by making snide comments. He would mumble that "if we would just pull up the list then we would get through this faster" and when we asked where to find it he replied with a sigh and "it's in your contract. Do you not have that?" Overall just incredibly condescending and did not make us feel that our personal items would be well cared for.
We then reached out to dispatch to try to get some more help and an estimated pickup/delivery dates and times. We spoke to Alex who wouldn't call, only message us and also was very unhelpful. He told us to refer back to the contract because that's where it told us times and dates. Then we raised the concern that the dates he was telling us did not line up with what the contract had. Overall an awful company and I would agree with others to completely avoid them at all cost. It will be 100% easier to just rent a Uhaul, vet moving companies on your own, and go from there.

Do not use this broker unless you want to have a completely stressful moving experience! I was “scheduled” for today or tomorrow. One person told me I would get a call the night prior to your “two day window” they give you. Another told me I would get a call the night before your pickup. Neither happened. I had to track down the actual moving company after Allegiance’s “after hours call service” said their on call person would call me when they got home. That never happened. This is the second moving company they have told me was moving me. Once I got ahold of them, they said it will be sometime after 5:00 tomorrow and that the driver would call 4 hours before pick up. Basically, you are paying a middle man that has horrific communication.
So, if they actually show up tomorrow, I will repost a follow up review. I predict they will get here with a higher than quoted price and unable to tell me a delivery date. If you choose not to accept this, you lose the deposit (over $1200 in my case). I have a feeling most is this “company’s” revenue comes precisely from that very scenario. I wish we had read through the reviews like these before signing up. In so many ways we know better as we have moved a lot over the years. We were looking to save money by using the company and have learned a grave lesson. To reiterate the stories we have read through, most every experience people have written we have experienced. Go through a company like Allied or one of those big carriers. Make sure someone comes to your house to do the estimate. Allegiance will get cash upfront on signing and it's all cash only transaction from there. They will not back their estimate, nor the tariff discount, nor will you be able to bring all your items with you. We revised our estimate 3 times and offloaded a lot to get the price back down closer to the original estimate.
They will force you to quickly sign the document - that is a sign to RUN. Never feel forced to sign anything. The guys showed up at our house and demanded 2x the estimate and broke items right in front of us. No care as well for their shoes or cleanliness (I cleaned up after them!). You have to stay on top of these guys and their 'customer service center' (they do not want to be bothered and complained. They shouldn't stay after 5pm to answer your questions and they would claim they did their job).
Upon delivery (they changed from 14 days to 21 last min on the contract), there was clear damage (holes to furniture and of course all of our better furniture received the most damage). The claims process is even worse and note that if your BOL and Inventory list does not exactly match the claim then everything you lost, left behind, or got damaged will not be considered. We took pictures of EVERYTHING as well. We feel totally had and wonder why it is with all these complaints that nothing at all is done. The owners and their staff probably sit out on a boat somewhere in FL laughing at all the people who lost their money and valuable possessions using their company. They do not care so buyer beware. The physical movers use names of reputable companies who also are receiving complaints about moves they never made. If you read this and still use them...well...don't say that 70+ people who spent time writing their unfortunately passionate reviews did not warn you...

Okay. I think it's about time I leave my review for this company, as it's been 9 months since I moved. I moved from Utah to New York. I found Allegiance Moving and Storage after getting several quotes from other moving companies. I was flattered they called me back so quick when I put my information in for a quote on their website. The guy I spoke with was very kind and quoted me about $1,160 for a one bedroom move. Though the way he spoke gave off the assumption they themselves are the moving company, not a broker who contracts other actual moving companies. He stated "We will disassemble and reassemble your items" and "We have a 14 day turn-around to get your items to you". I signed the official contract in June of 2022 and stated on there that my items need to be picked up on October 17th or 18th of 2022.
When I paid my $800 down payment the same guy told me within a week someone should be giving me a call to verify pick up and drop off locations. Two weeks later with no call I decided to call them and give them this information, forgiving them as summer months are the busiest with moves. By the end of September I got another call from them, confirming the move dates, and they told me a week before the move I should be receiving a call from Dispatch to confirm what day they will arrive and at what time. That whole week before the move I did not receive a single call. I was glued to my phone during the weekend waiting for a call, which also soured the mood a bit as I was trying to enjoy a trip to the Anime Banzai. Monday, October 17th, day 1 I gave for pickup I had still not heard anything from Dispatch.
I called Allegiance Moving and Storage again to get a status on the movers. The lady told me it had been set for the next day. October 18th came and went with no word again, so again I called just an hour before they closed and asked again for an update. The same woman then stated the moving truck had broken down and I will have to wait for another to be available. I had to be on the road on the 19th by the latest since I was driving from Utah to New York and needed to get there by that Saturday. I explained this to her and she was kind enough to offer a full refund, however we then found a solution by putting my mother's name on the contract so she will be there when the movers are ready to pickup.
Friday, October 21st arrives and I finally got a call from Dispatch, they said they would be there to pick up my stuff that Saturday morning, and will call an hour in advance to let me know they're an hour away. The only call I got that Saturday morning was they had already arrived, so I had to quickly call my mother to let her know. My items were then picked up with no word on when they will be delivered to my destination in New York.
It was nearing December by the time I decided to call the moving company to check status on my items. However, I kept reaching voicemails. Dispatch then finally called me and let me know that my items will be delivered the next day. They called me again when they were an hour away and my items then finally arrived that same day, except for one large gray 50 gallon tote. When I received my exercise bike it had a large crack on the computer and the heart monitor just under that has a large crack where it's almost broken off. One of my other tote's lid was completely smashed and broken, they had to use a lot of tape to keep it closed. My wooden end table has a crack on the side to where it looks like something impacted it and took a chunk out of it.
Fortunately, pickup and drop off did not come with any extra costs and I paid exactly what I was quoted for. The movers had me sign a piece of paper that I guess states that items were delivered, the man had me write what was still missing which I clearly wrote out "Large Gray 50 Gallon Tote". It's now August of 2023 and I have never heard anything or have ever seen that tote show up to my new place. By the looks of it though, it was a tote full of either clothes or stuffed animals, as the more important items were in the ones that did arrive.
In the end, I can't give this company anything better than 1 star. I guess they deserve it as they did offer me a full refund and I paid what I was quoted. I wish they were more honest about being a broker, not the moving company itself. They also need to make sure who they hire is competent and not rushing, losing or breaking items. The truck they had my items in was stuffed full and chaotically with other people's items, all that cramming is the reason why things end up being broken when they're delivered.
The company they hired to move my items goes by the name of ABC Moving. I'm not sure if they're the ones who still have my missing tote, they're the ones I called to get status on my items when they were picked up and in transit. The companies Allegiance hires need to be more responsible and call customers back who have been waiting for items for months. I'll be using U-Hauls next time. I suggest you do the same if you do not want your items to be misplaced or damaged.

SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND DO NOT USE THESE MOVING BROKERS. My quote vs. actual price doubled. Every time I called customer service with an issue I spoke to someone who became immediately condescending. My issues were never addressed. Allegiance quoted my 1 bd/1bth as 615 cu sqft, was assured everything was included. My initial estimate was $3579.16. I told them I couldn't move out on a weekend, building rules, but they set the date for Sunday and were unwilling to change it.
Movers showed up Sunday and eyeballed my items to fill 1400 cu sqft of space, so the the price changed to $5200. However, the building supervisor said they couldn't move that day, like I had tried to explain. I had to call customer service to get a different day. On the actual moving day, the movers informed me that my items were actually 1000 cubic sqft, and the real price was $6195. I had no choice but to complete the deal or lose $1500 deposit. Customer service sided with the movers every time there was an issue, regardless of the issue.
The movers left their packing material trash, and the last items to be moved were window ac units. They leaked all over the apartment, hallway, elevator, and basement. Allegiance said "That's the least of your worries." The movers never came back to clean up after, they just left. AND, didn't even let me get a picture of the truck/space used. Allegiance backed up the broker when they did a bad job.
I'm currently trying to set a delivery date and the movers are asking for the concession of me to be available any time they arrive because they can't guarantee a delivery date but expect me to guarantee a date to be available or else I'll be charged delivery, storage, and moving fees. The most frustrating thing is Allegiance has done nothing for me after the initial quote and booking the movers. Nothing but false promises and bad information. There is NO reason to use this company and I should have just dealt directly with a moving company. Allegiance is a scam.

The move was the most horrible experience, especially for a senior citizen. There was no professional supervision by Seventh Generation's owner (Abner **). Further he would not acknowledge any damages, one damage happening in front of my eyes of a dining chair's side arm coming loose as the mover ripped off the packing material. - Resulted in significant time lost: estimated 3-4 full workdays each for myself and my partner
Full Review: My experience with this moving company was an exhausting saga of disappointment, frustration, and deception. I am sharing my experience to prevent others from suffering a similar ordeal. With no option of an in-person quote, Allegiance mover and Storage assured me that their phone-based estimate would be accurate. This assurance proved to be far from the truth. The initial quote of $4,000 given over the phone inflated to $6,000 (a 33% increase) just before the move due to the addition of three boxes. This issue took hours from my vacation to resolve. Upon arrival, the moving team (iMovers) announced a shocking price hike to $12,000, a 200% increase from the initial quote.
The change in moving companies, from the one initially assigned at time of booking to I Movers, was done without my consent or prior knowledge. Had I been informed, I would have canceled due to iMovers' negative online reviews, particularly their reputation for bait-and-switch tactics - an issue I experienced firsthand. The packing was far from professional. The movers hastily and carelessly packed items, leading to considerable damage. Expensive coats were crammed into boxes, vinyl records were carelessly tossed resulting in warping, and books were damaged due to poor packing and lack of packing materials used dispute paying for the platinum packing package. They even dumped cat litter in my landlord's backyard. They failed to follow our instructions for packing key items like our bed, desk, and automatic cat box.
The packing supplies used did not justify the $3,000 charged, and the packing itself was far from satisfactory, as evidenced by the list of damaged items and photos provided. We faced further setbacks when our agreed delivery date was delayed twice, despite verbal assurances from Bill ** and the moving foreman from iMovers. We were left in the dark, as I had to call daily for updates and received no callbacks despite promises to the contrary.
As for the pickup - the movers' tardiness, arriving 40 minutes late and causing an hour delay by hitting a car with their moving truck. They didn't leave our apartment until 9 pm. The items were delivered late at 6 pm, outside the 12 pm - 2 pm window, forcing me to cancel important work meetings. Adding insult to injury, the delivery team didn't complete the move, leaving items in our driveway and others unassembled. Our attempts to follow up and rectify these issues were ignored; no calls were returned, and email communication ceased.
Over the course of this ordeal, my partner and I estimate we lost 3-4 full workdays each. This significant loss of time and productivity was due to their unprofessional conduct and mishandling of our move. In conclusion, this moving company demonstrated a clear lack of respect for their clients. Their practices were deceptive, their services unprofessional, and their communication subpar. Anyone considering using their services should seriously take these issues into account.

If you are considering a moving company, I would strongly advise against engaging Allegiance Moving and Storage out of Lake Worth, Florida. DOT #: 3183105. First and foremost, they are a broker, and not an actual carrier. That is a very important distinction. They said whatever they needed to say to get the job booked; collected a non-refundable deposit, then radically increased the cost of the move.
We reached out to Allegiance and after a very lengthy Facetime video inventory of everything in our home, Allegiance representative (B. **) gave us a quote of approximately $7,900. We agreed and paid a deposit of $1,950 (note they require ACH so you cannot challenge the payment). Several weeks later and only days before the scheduled move, they requested another lengthy Facetime inventory. (Bear in mind that in the intervening time we had a junk hauler remove a significant amount of items).
Just days before the move, they stated that the new quote was $10,900. Another Allegiance (M. **) representative, stated that the deposit was non-refundable and if we agreed to the $10,900, he would guaranty in writing that that the cost would not increase. Reluctantly, and with little option given the proximity of the move, we agreed.
Lo and behold, on the day of the move, the actual carrier (We Care for You) out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida arrived, began packing up items but demanded that the new quote was $14,800; almost double than what was initially promised, and 40% higher than the last guaranteed quote. With only one day to be out of the house before closing, and a significant amount of money deposited, there was little else we could do. We called the Allegiance office and spoke to Shannon, but she was incredibly dismissive, but given the enormous increase in the quote over what was guaranteed via email (of which I retained copies), she offered a $400.00 discount. Had we done more research, we would have absolutely gone directly to a moving company as We Care for You was very apologetic and recognized that Allegiance had not been straightforward. My journey with Allegiance is not over as I fully plan on pursuing action with the DOT and the FTC, but I cannot be more clear that had I known more about Allegiance, I would not have used them. They added an inordinate amount of stress to what was already a challenging process. All to collect a $3,200 broker's fee for zero work, assistance, or understanding. The sales team will promise the moon, but I would highly recommend anyone considering them do additional research and go directly to a carrier.

The price went from 6,000 to 10,000 and 16,300 when the movers arrived. I had to be out in 2 days. I was never told the name of the company or received any paperwork from the movers. The movers increased the price by 6,300 but never showed me any paperwork as to why that occurred, back against the wall I had to sign a paper that was folded so that all I could see was the new price, not why there was a new price. Customer service for Allegiance got involved. They had told me that credit cards could be used. The mover said only cash. Also allegiance took only cash, no credit cards, even though I had been told that I could use my credit.
Movers spoke no English and were illiterate. It just gets worse from here. They tried to leave several times without my knowing it. Things were lost, smashed because they weren't wrapped and since I don't have the numbered bill of lading I have no idea how much I am missing. My contact was Danielle for the movers and we had to call the police for assistance when my things arrived. Allegiance refused to give me copies of the paperwork and was extremely rude. I am reporting them to every agency I can locate, both the broker and the mover.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They did not tell me they were a broker. They told me to Zelle all payments to them. Once we arrived at my new house, the movers held my possessions hostage until I paid them. Thus I paid twice for the same move. The answering service for the company promised me a call back immediately. It was two days later by the time I reached someone at the company. They contracted my move out to a company that employs illegal aliens. The only reason to speak in a different language is to exclude someone from the conversation. Fortunately for me I speak Spanish. The movers intended to take my belongings if I did not pay them immediately. There was also discussion of physical violence. I was charged for 80 boxes. The movers took 30. I had to make my own arrangements for the other 50.
There was an extra charge on the day of the move for wrapping my glass curio cabinets on moving day. This was not done. They charged for work not done. While moving my desk the movers damaged the wall and the desk. Allegiance Moving has not contacted me to follow up on the complaints I had on the day of the move or the complaints I made when I finally was able to contact an actual representative of the company. This is an incredibly deceptive and unresponsive company. Their contracting with companies who skirt the law is disturbing. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

I have moved cross country couple of time and locally many times and never had any bad experience with others at all. First of all I got a call from a guy saying he is from Bridgeview Van Lines and said they are 5star rated movers. So I started hearing him. When it's time to give us quote, he said he is in dental emergency and said his sister company Allegiance Moving and blah will call me. The lady Katie talked so smoothly and said we have less stuff and the space allocated is too much and quoted around $3500 for us within seconds. She made me pay $1650 upfront. That's it, their money is in their hands and their job is done. The moving date was here and they sent a local moving company folks.
That guy came in the guy looked everything, I listed every single thing on inventory list. He went out into truck and did some math for 3HOURS! And came back with the handwritten calculations, adding two couches into the inventory. Couches were already in the inventory. He said we need more space more or less like having 2 couches and billed us $4600. Basically it's like we have 4 couches when in reality we had only 2. We are super soft spoken people and we didn't want to create chaos. So we signed the document to get the moving started as they already took half day of ours. They packed and stored and Allegiance people hardly ever responded to me in between.
When I called stating that their behavior is not appropriate, the lady named Katie said "Oh Gosh" and cut my call. Then the reality, the movers brought our stuff after a month almost and they brought in someone else's stuff, and our furniture broken. It was awful! Our Tv stand, desktop, toy kitchen, storage boxes, dresser, everything is broken!!! PLEASE BE AWARE AND STAY AWAY! I never ever write bad reviews but please try using pods, where our stuff is safe as we lock in or selling and buying stuff if needed. It's worth the money and hassle. Hope it's helpful for someone who is gonna get into their traps soon.

This is a scam company. They are also Allegiance Van Lines out of Pompano Beach Florida. We booked a move with van lines company for October 2022 but after investigation we had learned some disturbing news about this company. So we decided to cancel and asked to get back or $1500 deposit. They are refusing to send back the deposit stating that we signed a cancellation notice stating that we only had 48 hours from the time we booked this move to cancel or we forfeit the deposit. We never received a cancellation notice.
They emailed us a copy of the cancellation notice that we signed but what we actually received did not have the cancellation notice on it. Coincidentally what they claim they sent us and what we actually received has the same exact time and date stamped on it, so I know that they falsified theirs. They will not return my emails or my calls. I have turned them over to the Better Business Bureau but they tell me that the company does not have to respond to their inquest. Please be aware that this company is not on the up and up and they are also associated with Allegiance Movers and Storage, which has horrendous reviews. They will tell you that they are not associated with that company and that the bad reviews that they have are supposed to be for the other company but that is just not so.

Simply not able to contact anybody in the company throughout the entire process; nobody answered or returned our calls. None of the original promises were kept (timing of pick up, timing of delivery, final bill, amount of movers, etc). Now we have damaged goods at arrival. We are trying to file an insurance claim, but I have little hope to hear anything back from the company. Company also left a ton of packaging material in the driveway. I had to contact another company to help me get rid of all this waste. Completely unacceptable.

I did not do my due diligence so I hope you do! Had the lowest bid and claimed to be AARP recommended. Days prior to the move increased the cost by $2800 - even though the number of items was less than initially estimated. Claim to be AARP recommended - a follow up call to AARP indicated the company is unknown to them and is not on their recommended list for movers. Delivery date kept changing and at one time, I was told that the location of my items were unknown - turns out they were in a warehouse in Colorado and the move had not even been initiated. 10-14 for delivery became 36 business days. So many things were re-scheduled or cancelled as I was waiting to receive delivery.
When I questioned their practices, an e-mail from the company was dismissive and disparaging to me and to my home state of Wyoming!! Calling customer service repeatedly (every 3 days or so) came with promises to follow up - nice ladies, but the service was deplorable. If there was a way to give negative stars...I would do so. I am prepared for the negative and harassing phone calls as they want me to go away.

After receiving an estimate and then getting rid of a significant amount of furniture/etc., Allegiance sent a truck that was too small. We have been waiting a month for our items to be delivered after our things were put in storage, 11 states away from where we moved. The delivery date is ever-changing, while we miss work, planned activities, even canceling a family vacation. Also *price doubled from estimate given*, with absolutely no compensation for our wait, no guarantee of delivery date (to date.) Can’t review low enough to convey our frustration!
We as the moving broker were provided with an inventory list directly from you, you also agreed to that amount of space on the estimate you signed. The truck that was sent was in accordance to the estimated space you gave to your coordinator. Please call the customer service team in order to assist with tracking down your delivery. We can also assist walking you through the claims process if the company delivers outside of the required time frame.

This is my third move cross country and I went with Allegiance Moving and Storage this time seeing that it was highly rated. WHAT A MISTAKE! I was sold a bill of goods with a grossly underestimated estimate to sweeten the deal. Not only is customer service atrocious, they know that they have your contract and then your valuables hostage; so you don't have much of an option afterwards than to play by their rules. I made multiple calls prior to and after my belongings were picked up with NO return calls. If this wasn't bad enough, there are TONS of hidden fees including how far the movers will walk before you are charged by the additional foot, how many steps they will climb before you are charged additional steps, and a charge for a "shuttle" if they feel their truck cannot fit onto your street.
My last point is that I was told that they have their own fleet of trucks. But they don't. They subcontract half competent moving companies then you become a ping-pong ball between the two. My subcontracted company is Triple Crown Moving & Storage LLC. They gave me their separate contract to sign the same day they picked up my belongings, and gave it to me after the truck had been loaded. Where was the time to read their contract especially the 4 pages of fine print? BUYER BE AWARE!!!
The estimate we provided to you was based entirely on the information you gave to the coordinator. We always do our best to give accurate quotes and information about any charges. The additional charges we even send you a separate verification email that reviews any costs that you might incur during your move. Our customer service department is here for you if you wish to call and discuss your charges.

This moving company still has my goods. After signing the contract with them I realized that there were several things I was not informed of. I was not informed they were a broker and not a mover, I was not informed they will only give one day notice for drop-off, and a whole slew of other things. When the mover picked up my items he charged more (which I was told wouldn’t happen) and asked when I wanted them delivered. I had been told they wouldn’t be delivered before 2 to 3 weeks out, so I said no sooner than 2 to 3 weeks out, which worked for me.
I was told that someone would be in touch with me that week to schedule. It has now been over a month and I have called for updates countless times. I am being given the runaround. I’m told they don’t know, they can’t tell me until the movers gets back to them, someone will call me back… No information is ever given. I should not, as a customer, need to navigate misinformation and be strung along with no clarity as to when I will receive my belongings.
By signing this Binding Estimate for Services, customer is acknowledging and agreeing to the following:
As properly licensed interstate broker, Allegiance Moving and Storage, is not a motor carrier and will not transport or handle in any way an individual shipper's household goods, but will coordinate and arrange for the transportation of household goods by an FMCSA authorized motor carrier, whose charges will be determined by its own published tariff.
We do wish we could give more notice for a delivery but there are multiple factors that come into play, weather, traffic and more importantly other customers delivers and pickups. You moved in the busiest time of year and delivery logistics can be tricky.

When the moving company that they hired (as they are only brokers) came home the quote went up another 2600 dollars. I was decided to cancel the service but they offered a discount and things like free storage or not having to pay extra for the elevator.
So now that I want them to send my stuff to the new address they don’t recon any of this! Better Business Bureau Complaint: **. I contacted Allegiance based on their supposed highly rated customer service. My experience and the experience of many other customers was horrible (Please see reviews on Yelp. All reviews are two stars or less). Brent, the person that I worked with to get a quote, was intentionally misleading so that he could give me a lower quote.
We discussed square footage of the apartment, the number of large furniture items that would be moved, estimated number of boxes we were expecting. I indicated to him that I thought we would have 30-50 boxes, at least. He insisted that based on his experience and based on the size of the apartment that we would probably only have 20 boxes. I disagreed but deferred to his judgement. I asked if there would be an up-charge if we went over the estimated 20 boxes. He indicated that no, I would not be charged extra. I also made it very clear to Brent that this would be a "spit pick-up". In other words, we had belongings at our apartment and at an off-site storage unit.
The estimate from Allegiance (see attached) came in at just over $3400. Allegiance contracted the job to NewStart movers. I was told that the movers would contact me 24-48 hours in advance of the move to give me an estimated arrival. That never happened. On the day of the move, the estimated arrival time kept being pushed out. The driver could not give me an accurate arrival time. According the driver they were diverted to another residence before ours because that client insisted they had to be somewhere for an appointment. Long story short, the movers from NewStart did not arrive until almost 8:00 PM on September 8.
Upon their arrival, I told the movers we needed to hurry because we had to be to the storage unit by 9:30 PM because it closed at 10:00. The two movers from NewStart indicated that they were not aware that we'd scheduled a "split pick-up" and indicated that there would be an up-charge for it. They also indicated that they were not aware that we had large items to move such as a TV, queen size mattress and TV console. I had to pay an additional $860 cash to the movers on September 8 and have paid $370 in storage fees to NewStart.
Due to their late arrival, we could not get to the storage unit. We had to incur additional expense to get the belongings in the storage unit transported from San Francisco to California. Additional expenses included flights to and from Seattle, paying an additional two months storage fees, contracting with Pods to pick up, store and deliver our belongings. See attached receipts.
When I contacted Allegiance to express my frustration and request at least a partial refund, they were completely unsympathetic. They offered no apology and refused to refund any money. Their web page touts a "100% Satisfaction Guarantee". In their email dated August 9 with the subject "Allegiance Moving Reviews" it states: "We take our customer feedback seriously at Allegiance Moving and Storage! It is our top priority to provide quality household and corporate moving services; but we also take the time to make sure our customers are satisfied with our services from start to finish."
In an email dated September 6, 2021 with the subject "Allegiance Customer Verification" it states in part; "Moving forward, the customer service team will be your direct point of contact. Please refer any questions, comments, or concerns directly to us. Our role is to be a liaison between yourself and the moving company to ensure that your move goes as smoothly as possible. We will serve as your advocate." I was not at all satisfied with their service. Customer satisfaction is NOT a priority and Allegiance most definitely did not act as my advocate. As you navigate their website it frequently refers to the great services they provide, all of which is completely false. Allegiance Moving and Storage
I've sent them multiple requests to send me an itemized receipt, detailing what exactly the $1701 paid to them was for. My requests for that receipt have been ignored. See table below for summary of expenses incurred so far and estimated future expenses:

New Start 860
New Start Storage 370
New Start Estimated Due at delivery* 3654

*I'm now being told by new start that my total due upon delivery will be over $5000. **Allegiance's Total Moving Estimate came in at $3424 which means they underestimated my total expenses by a minimum of $5537. In summary, Allegiance is intentionally misleading potential customers and intentionally providing inaccurate and intentionally low estimates to gain business. Therefore, Allegiance is committing fraud. For most people moving from one state to another or across the country, is a rare occurrence. Consumers need to be confident that moving companies are acting with integrity and serving as consumer advocates. The initial bid was 15. And when the guy came out and looked, it went up to $17,000. I understood because there was a lot of stuff. Before the Allegiance guys showed up, I paid seven grand to them. And when moving day came, and I had some company that is out of San Jose, so I thought I hired Allegiance to do my move. A lot of small guys, not typical in the moving business, who didn't speak English, but were very nice. They showed up and said, "This move is much bigger than we were told." I had to leave some things behind because the trucks were filled. And they increased the bid. They said it would cost more. And instead of $17,000, it cost me $22,000. And there was damage to stuff. They were at my house until near midnight because of the time they got there. It took that much time.
I liked the guys. They were decent. There were seven of them. I still gave them each a $100 tip ecause they were honest, hardworking guys, and I can appreciate that. But it was a bigger job than they were used to. They were not professional movers in the way they necessarily went about loading things. But they were not professional movers as far as knowing how to move stuff. And for the price, it was ridiculous. I said, "So what did I pay seven grand to you guys for when all you did is show up and take the bid? You didn't actually do the move. I thought I was hiring a top five company to do my move."
I spent more money because I thought a big move, a lot of stuff and the way it was doing it, but that was not the case. Is that the way it is in the industry now? If you hire one of the big companies, they subcontract it out to somebody else? I wish I knew that because I would have just gone with the local company and it would have cost me less. Because $22,000, I realized I'm going across state, but it's only a two-hour drive. And I was told by Allegiance I would have an 18-wheeler. Instead they brought three small trucks. So overall, no, I'm not very happy.

Setting up the service wasn't bad. But it was surprising that unlike any moves I've ever done, the inventory was done over the phone. A move coordinator walked me through the phone and said, “Well, how big is that bookcase? And how big is that box? How many are there?” I gave him my best estimate on stuff. But it was a very unusual step to go through in terms of booking a move. The final price was terrible. It was off by half. I suggested to them that it sounded like it was something perfect for Zoom. But they told me, “Oh, no, no. Zoom doesn’t work for this.”
I booked the move in September, and then I booked with a substantial non-refundable deposit. When the driver showed up on-site and walked through and quoted me double, I was trapped. I had to accept it. This was the worst customer experience of my life, especially for something that I paid $5,000 for. First off, I was not made aware that Allegiance was not a mover. They are a broker. So, I paid a deposit to Allegiance and gave them a window. In September 2nd, I booked them and told them that I needed a window of October 12th to the 14th because I was flying out on the 15th. They said, “Okay, we'll try to hit that window.”
On the 9th, they told me that Triumphant Moving would be there on the 14th. But they didn't show up. So, I called and asked, “Am I moving today?” They said, “Oh, no. Atlantis is moving you.” I said, “Who's Atlantis?” They said, “Well, you know, we're a broker. We hire subcontractors.” They told me Atlantis was coming on the 15th. But I gave them a window of the 14th. They still told me that they were coming on 15th. But on the 15th, nobody showed up.
I called Allegiance again and they said, “They're coming on the 16th.” This happened six more times. Six times I was delayed a day and had to extend my hotel stay. I had to rebook my flights. It was a nightmare. I finally heard from Atlantis and they said they were 10 hours away and that they would be there by 2:00. At noon, they said, “We'll be there by 4:00. We're in Amarillo,” which is four hours away. But at 8:00, they didn't show up. I told them, “Come tomorrow. I don't want you driving 10 hours and then try to pack me all night. I don't want to be up all night.”
The next day, Atlantis said, “We'll be there at 11:00.” But 11:00 came, they didn’t show up. I said, “Where are you?” They said, “We'll be there at 2:00.” At 1:30, I asked, “Where are you?” They said, “We'll be there 2:15.” I told them to be here by 3:00. They finally showed up at 3:00 and packed me till 9:30. It was horrible. Things that could have easily been fixed by either having their dispatch or Allegiance know where was the person or the truck and when were they coming. They just told me, “Oh, we had to stop and get gas. We had to buy boxes.”
The movers showed up in a Budget Rental van with three guys that were not in any kind of uniform, not wearing any kind of badge or identification. They could have been any three random people on the street. What's worse is I had to pay thousands of dollars directly to the driver. So now, I have three people involved. I have Allegiance, I have Atlantis, at some level, and then I'm paying cash to the driver. Then on delivery, I paid cash to a different driver. I know the trucking industry has gone through some problems. But if you're 10 hours away, don't tell me you're gonna be there at five hours. It's the classic customer service mistake of overpromising and underdelivering. It's the worst thing that drives me crazy and it cost me a whole lot of extra money.
Allegiance arranged my moving and my car transport. The car transport went beautifully. It was handled by a separate company. They called me ahead of time and showed up when they were going to show up. They picked up the car and delivered it when they were gonna deliver it. The car got here two days ahead of me. If my brother hasn’t been here and picked up the car, I don't know what I would have done.
With my move, my experience was less than satisfactory. The movers didn’t pack every cabinet. They taped open the front door to my apartment and when I went around after they were all done after five hours and a half hours, they didn’t pack the cabinet behind the front door because they taped the door open over it. They missed two bathroom cabinets. But they did an okay job with the things that they packed. I booked this move for October 12th, and my stuff appeared a week ago. Day after day, it was like being on a reality show of being physically and mentally tortured with stuff. About six days after the pick-up, I called Allegiance at 10:00 in the morning and asked, “Where's my stuff?” They said, “Oh, they're on the West Coast. We have to wait till that time zone changes.”
Four hours later, Allegiance called me back and said they couldn't get ahold of them. I got a nice email from Allegiance that said, “Hello, my name is Danielle. Here's my direct number. And you can call our 24-hour service number, but you can call or text me. I'm going to be your contact for the move.” That was wonderful. So I called her, left a message, but no response. I texted her and no response. I called the 24-hour customer service line, and there was also no response. If I ordered a box of paper clips from Amazon, I'd know minute to minute more about what was going on than an $8,000 purchase I made with Allegiance. I don't know why Allegiance gets such a high rating and why they would pick somebody that wouldn't even return my calls.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We apologize for your recent purchase experience and would like to assist you. Someone from our team will be following up shortly to assist you with a resolution.

The service cost us triple the amount of our initial quote. I did everything in my power to prevent that from happening such as talking to the rep several times to make sure as I didn't want any surprises on the day of the move. I asked to have somebody come in again. The rep told me they would but they didn’t do that several days before the move. Also, nobody called or came to verify that we were still where we were supposed to be.
The day of the move was not really a happy moment when you're under so much stress and you hear that you have to come up with $4,000 more. The whole quote thing was a really negative experience in that sense. They really get you and you're in a bind. They want you to pay cash at that point. You have to get yourself moved so you have no choice and they know that. That was an unfortunate part of it all. Another thing was the Allegiance customer service was not good. When we called, the woman really gave us a hard time and got short with us for questioning the price. I did not care for this brokerage company. That aside, the actual movers were excellent and in the end, we got our stuff.
We're sorry to hear about your recent experience, We sincerely apologize and would like to make it up to you. Our team will contact you privately to begin a resolution.

I am not a customer, but I have called Allegiance 21 times--that is the exact number from my call history and does not include other calls and emails made by my other family members--to try to help my parents and sister. They hired Allegiance to help them move from AZ to FL. I received one and only callback during that time on Oct 18 from Monica, who was calling to correct a mistake she made over the phone a few minutes before, and who then proceeded to berate me for the second time that day.
Allegiance hired Royal Star to do my parents' move. When the movers showed up, they charged $22,000 more than the original bid bringing the total to $40,000. When I questioned Allegiance about this, I was told multiple times it was my mom's fault for not giving a more accurate inventory. The original bid from Allegiance was for 2647 cubic feet ($18,000). The amount charged was 4300 cubic feet ($40,000). The actual cubic feet was less than 3500 cubic feet based on the dimensions of the 53 foot delivery trailer that arrived at the new home Oct 19 almost 2 months after it was supposed to arrive.
In addition to their inaccurate calculations of the extra cubic feet, Royal Star included several bogus charges including labor fees, shuttle fees (because they chose not to bring a big enough truck), fake tax fees, storage fees (which we did not want or ask for), and a hefty "bulk" fee which was $2200 more than Allegiance originally estimated for a baby grand piano and kayak.
It was not until our attorney called that Allegiance even addressed these charges directly with Royal Star or made an attempt to reinstate the military discount which was part of the original bid from Allegiance. Allegiance repeatedly brushed off the additional charges with inconsistent explanations (most likely parroting Royal Star) and said there was nothing they could do. They put the responsibility completely on my family to work it out with the mover, who by the way would not answer our calls.
Federal regulations state the broker has to provide a list of potential companies who are going to complete the move (which we did not know about initially) and which Allegiance did not do. They have a locked list of carriers on their website which a customer can access if the customer requests the information. I have still not seen this list, and Allegiance has refused to provide it to us retroactively. All that might be legal, but it is purposefully evasive and unethical.
A few days after Royal star showed up to move, they received an Out-of-Service order from FMCSA. I discovered later from reading BBB that Royal Star has a history of unethical behavior, including but not limited to charging more than double for original estimates, forcing clients to pay in cash and sign contracts under duress, aggressive--sometimes threatening--behavior towards customers, harassment, damaging items, and late deliveries. When I questioned Allegiance customer service they said, "we've never had problems before." However, they also informed me within a few days after pickup that they were no longer using Royal Star (I presume due to the out-of-transport order). Since Royal Star had already taken $27,000 and driven off with my family's stuff this obviously did little to console me.
Royal Star hung up on on me, my sister, my mom, and our attorney on multiple occasions, specifically Avi and Shay. Avi threatened to hold items hostage on multiple occasions, both over the phone in August and in person at delivery. In August I was told by Royal Star the delivery truck was in Denver and would arrive within 4-10 business days of Aug 31. The agreed upon availability date was Aug 31, which is not documented on the bill of lading, but is both in writing elsewhere and recorded verbally.
In September I was told the truck was in Florida and would arrive Saturday (Sep 11) at 5pm. On Saturday (Sep 11) I was told if the driver hadn't called, he would probably deliver the items the next day (Sep 12). I asked for the driver's phone number. They refused to give it to me. Nothing arrived. Later that week I was told the truck broke down somewhere in Alabama or Louisiana. They hung up on me when I tried to get specific information. After that no one answered my calls for a month. Allegiance could not get ahold of Royal Star, although I was told (and I genuinely believe) they were trying to contact them.
In October (week of the 11th) my mother was told by Royal Star the items were still in Arizona and they were looking for a delivery driver. This means they had been lying about everything the previous month or they were lying now. The delivery was already several days late past the incredibly generous 30-day business day buffer zone they had given themselves in the contract. Throughout the week Royal Star did not answer calls and hung up on my sister after she asked for specifics on delivery.
I got very little help from Allegiance after calling almost every day the week before delivery. On Oct 15 I was told by Joann at Allegiance via email that the delivery would be Monday (Oct 18th). I asked for the location of the truck. Allegiance refused to give it to me because the truck was en route and had other customers' items on it (this was not actually true as we learned later on). I asked for the license plate number and was told I could ask the driver. I asked for the driver's phone. I was told the driver would call me.
I still wanted to speak with Joann over the phone so I could have a conversation and get more specific information about her interaction with Royal Star, especially since we hadn't been able to reach them, and they had not called. However, by Monday (Oct 18th) customer service became hostile and aggressive. I was still able to email Joann, but she would not call me despite multiple requests to speak with her over the phone. When I asked her again for the driver's phone number, she said the carrier would call me. I asked if there was a reason, I could not have the driver's phone number. She said Royal Star refused to give her the number.
Eventually, Avi from Royal Star texted my mom later the 18th that delivery would be Tuesday (Oct 19th) at 7am. He again refused to give the driver's phone number. My mom asked to be present for the weigh in of the truck before unloading. He did not arrange for this. He continued refusing to give us the driver's number and claimed the driver only spoke Spanish. I told him I speak Spanish and to please give me the driver's phone number. He did not respond to texts or calls after that.
On Tuesday (Oct 19) the delivery truck arrived. I was on the phone with my mom for the entirety of the move for 4 hours. While I was not physically present, I heard Avi threatening my family. He threatened to keep the weight ticket, said the driver would be unable to weigh the truck after unloading because the driver had another job in Tampa, said he would call the Sheriff if anyone recorded him (although no one was recording him and no one would have minded if he had called the sheriff, the issue is more that he was purposely trying to threaten and intimidate them). He also continued refusing to let anyone speak to the driver.
When the driver--who did not work for Royal Star but was hired to complete the move after Royal Star lost their license--came out, he was completely cooperative and forthcoming. He spoke perfect English. He gave my sister his phone number. He said he was also upset with Avi because he was ready to deliver on Saturday and had been sitting in Melbourne all weekend waiting to unload. He said he could go to the weight station immediately with my sister after the truck was unloaded and get the final weight ticket so she could be reimbursed by her employer for the move. He did not have any other job in Tampa. He was going home.
There was absolutely no resistance from the driver to give out his information, to let my family take pictures, or to give us the dimensions of the truck. I am baffled as to how Allegiance could have ever trusted Royal Star as one of their carriers when they are purposefully deceitful and evasive. I am furious that even now they continue to defend Royal Star, so they won't have to admit any fault in this horrendous move.
Emotional Distress: I would need the customer service recordings from Allegiance to give exact dates and times when my emotional distress became disabling, but I can confidently say I had multiple panic attacks immediately following my conversations with the customer service representatives at Allegiance. I feel this is relevant and important to report. I had one panic attack the end of August where I got stuck in a parking lot in Costco because I was too distressed to drive home. Most recently Oct 18th, although these were not the only 2. My husband and health care providers can confirm this.
I know some of those conversations, including most recently, were with Monica but I'm not sure if she was the only one because I didn't always get names. In addition to my panic attacks, my mother had shingles and had to sleep on an air mattress in an empty house for two months. My family has agonized over this move. I personally have been treated by members of Allegiance and Royal Star with hostility.
Financial Compensation: I have repeatedly requested a refund of the broker fee, from Allegiance. They offered $200 if the customer agreed to sign a document that accepted this refund as "full satisfaction." This $200 refund is less than 4% of the broker fee they collected before the movers ever even arrived. Unsurprising, we have refused this offer. I am still asking for a full refund of their broker fee for hiring Royal Star as the carrier. Additionally, we will be filing claims with Royal Star for the fraudulent charges, late delivery, and any damages we find.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you had with your parents service.

At the time I spoke to the rep, I was happy. But now, other people have said that he may have overpromised and I'm concerned and waiting for my stuff. He led me down the merry path and promised things that were not doable. He was so concerned to sell, sell, sell that he didn't care. It was a little disappointing. Also, I had one misunderstanding that I swear he told me that I would have my stuff available on October 27th. And then I find out later that October 27th is the beginning of the period when things may arrive.
And from October 27th plus 30 days is the moving period as they say. I tried to explain the moving period to the dock manager of my condo building in Florida. They don't want to hear about periods and instead, they want to hear when the movers are coming. It's a building with 530 units and there's always somebody moving in or out. We're getting into the winter season so the snowbirds are going to occupy their units for the winter. They're in the way or I'm in their way.
Every week, I have to get the dock people to reserve a day and that's just to keep me on the map. That's not even a guarantee that my things are going to come on that day 'cause Allegiance can't guarantee that they'll come on that particular day. Fortunately, my dock people are more realistic in their descriptions and cooperation than Allegiance was up until the guys who came to pack it come along. Those are the guys that kind of opened my eyes. The guy named Gio from Soviet Georgia had a couple of guys with him and they did a great job of packing up. It was amazing to watch. They educated me a lot more about the behind-the-scenes moving process.
That's when I learned the awful truth that it really wasn't going to probably be there on the 27th of October. I had to disappoint people here and we're surviving it. We're kind of camping out in the condo. But it's not the same as having the whole thing. I don't have a computer that's working beyond a laptop or a phone or a tablet. And that's just not enough when you're used to the desktop one. There are a lot of things I need to do for work that I have to do on my desktop. And I don't have a desk to put my computer on, let alone to call the guy to get it hooked up.
I know there's a national truck shortage and a national truck driver shortage which are what moving companies are crying about. And I understand. That's just the reality that we live in. But I think preparing the customer for reality overselling and guaranteeing the deal might be a little better for everybody down the road. Also, I'm a pessimist at heart. So I over-budgeted for this whole thing and I'm happy I had over-budgeted. But still, that same agent who was doing all the big promises at the beginning said they could do the whole move for 5,000. What I really paid was more than double that. Thank God I had the money to make the difference. But other people are not going to have that money. If Allegiance, tells somebody else that they'll have a $5,000 move, they're gonna get Allegiance 5,000 bucks. Those people are gonna be really mad when it's more than that, let alone more than double.

Don’t trust Sean **!!! Prior to receiving my final quote from Sean I sent him dimensions on most of my furniture so the quote would be as accurate as possible. His quote was for 1035 cu ft. At a cost of $5986.37. When the movers loaded the truck the cubic feet came back 615 cu ft over the original quote and the cost was $10678.34. I could live with the final cost going up a little but when I provided measurements on almost everything and it goes up 40% that’s just dishonest to get my business. They then contracted our move out to a company they knew weren’t paying claims on damaged or destroyed items. Mike **.

I googled best movers from New York to Florida and Allegiance came up along with another company. I called both and Allegiance was very persistent so we chose them. Everything was fine. But I didn't realize that it was gonna take long for us to get our stuff and I didn't read all of the fine print. When moving from state to state, really read the fine print so that you can better prepare. I would have changed my move date and stayed with a relative in New York till we got closer to the arrival date.
We moved to our house on the 13th of September and we got our stuff on the 13th of October. It wasn't Allegiance’s fault but the movers'. Allegiance was always responsive to me. I left a message or two with the movers and they never called me back. Other than that, everyone was professional. The people from New York were different from the people that delivered in Florida. I wish the delivery was quicker but the problem was because of where we moved to. We're at the end of the earth in Key West so I get it. You have to schedule accordingly. Overall, I'm happy because we got everything. There were a couple of little minor things that were broken among our things but nothing was missing. I would recommend Allegiance because they followed up. They asked me about the moving company and I was honest with them.

From the standpoint of Allegiance, everything was smooth. But the moving company they used was very difficult to deal with because I told them that I wanted my furniture to arrive in a week or two but it took over a month to reach the destination. We called everyday for that and when I looked at my things, I'm missing the remotes for the TV, the fireplace, and the Apple TV. One of my TVs also got scratched. I contacted Allegiance and I'm having a hard time getting a claim for the missing items. They sent me a claim form and I filled it out but it indicated a company I didn't recognize.

Updated on 10/04/2021: The company responded to my initial complaint saying that when consumers are and happy they are and happy. A lie. They said that their move of 2924 miles was within the contract of 28 days; a lie; they told me 10 days to two weeks Dash tops. They responded that their movers are on their way to me now and will be here between October 7 and October 9. I suspect this is another one of their many lies. 32 days to deliver when other companies delivered in six and in eight days. Isn’t it the same 2924 miles for all three companies except the lying, incompetent, lazy, fraudulent company took 32 days.
Updated on 10/04/2021: I was moving from a three bedroom condominium unit in Lake Oswego, Oregon to a new home I purchased in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. During the hiring of ALLEGIANCE MOVING and storage company they promised that it “would take 10 days to two weeks - tops for me to receive my furniture.” It is now 32 days!!! Three days ago I was told by one of the many deceptive lying ladies in the ALLEGIANCE office that my furniture had been loaded onto a truck from a warehouse in Oregon and would be here within five or six business days; which would be tomorrow or Wednesday. After the many lies these deceitful lying ladies have told me, I have very serious doubts that I will receive the furniture then.
I have contacted the department of transportation and other agencies regarding their deceit and if I do not receive my furniture this week I will file a lawsuit against them. I have called him several weeks apart over the course of this past month and they have intentionally willfully deliberately and knowingly lied each of those times telling me that 1. The truck broke down. 2. The furniture is located in some bizarre location and is being held there for one reason or another. 3. The furniture is on its way and will be there shortly. Their last comment - that it was loaded onto a truck from a warehouse in Oregon is indicative of the many lies they told during this past month. I urge all consumers considering a shortening for a long move to avoid ALLEGIANCE MOVING AND STORAGE like the plague; they are a fraudulent company in virtually every aspect they deal with.
Original Review: ALLEGIANCE MOVERS a review. The first thing you need to know about ALLEGIANCE MOVERS, which of course they make sure they never tell you, is that they are not actually a moving company; they are brokers, who hires moving companies for the various trips across the United States. Frequently these companies or drivers are not available and the truck holding your belongings sits in a parking lot or warehouse in various locations waiting for drivers to become available. This fact CONSIDERABLY lengthens the amount of time that it will take for your furniture to reach you, even though their standard statement when they are hired is “it will be anywhere from 8 to 10 days to receive your furniture - tops.” This statement is but one of many intentional, willful, deliberate, knowing lies this company will tell you.
The second thing you need to know about ALLEGIANCE MOVERS is that they are among the most expensive, if not THE most expensive, moving company in the United States. It does not matter if you proceed as I did, with a tape measure moving room to room listing precisely each item to be moved and its precise dimensions. The estimator you will speak to is merely jotting down information and coming up with a rough approximation of where in the truck they will put their maximum designation of the location of your goods. That never matters, by the way since as soon as your goods are loaded onto the truck, they are clear to point out in the contract in very tiny print, that the price you will pay could be several times more greater than the amount originally specified.
The third thing you need to know about ALLEGIANCE MOVERS, is that when you personally have moved a short distance or perhaps even cross country as I did, and you are attempting to understand the status of your goods, there is virtually, absolutely, totally, thoroughly, overwhelmingly, incontrovertibly no way to reach them. No matter what number you are given for ALLEGIANCE MOVERS it all leads to a woman or woman, likely somewhere in a dark bedroom in Florida, who are obviously somehow peripherally connected to the owner or owners of the company.
They attempt to fend off your questions with standard statements, for example “I will check on that tomorrow and find out for you what the situation is“ or perhaps, "I am not a mover so I can’t answer that specifically" or perhaps even offering a personal assessment of the solution which is usually similar to logic from a standup comic. "Well even though they told you 10 days. It is going to be 4 to 6 weeks because they’re moving your goods 2900 miles and there are legal limits as to how far they can drive and how long they can work."
A person of simple intelligence can calculate that driving 2900 miles over 30 days is 96 miles a day, at 60 miles an hour is about 1-½ hours per day of work. My personal theory is that, legally, drivers are legally allowed to work more than 1-½ hours a day. My favorite when inquiring about one of many delays in receipt of my furniture "oh, the truck broke down." Just more intentional, willful, deliberate, knowing lies from ALLEGIANCE MOVERS.
The fourth thing you need to know about ALLEGIANCE MOVERS is that If you are at all concerned about your move because perhaps you’ve sold your place and someone else is moving in, Is that they will change the pick up of your furniture date several times before they get there. The date my furniture was picked up was changed four times in the final week it was due to be picked up; and it was picked up on the final day possible by three young men, who seem to do a reasonable wrapping job of the valuable pieces of the furniture; but moved lackadaisically among other things. I had almost $3300 in cash in a bank envelope stashed in a briefcase in a back bedroom, the last place to be packed, and was, at the insistent request, asked to check out the truck being loaded. I found a few hours later that one of the three young men head filtered through every pocket in my briefcase and relieved me of the envelope of cash.
As for delivering my furniture to North Carolina from Oregon, it is now 29 days since my furniture was initially loaded onto a truck in Lake Oswego, Oregon to be driven - I assumed to Fuquay-Varina North Carolina - and I have yet to receive any furniture, only many varied reasons why I do not have my furniture. I was told yesterday, that - contrary to the many imaginative lies told me regarding the location of my furniture across the country by the deceitful ladies of ALLEGIANCE - that my furniture was "just loaded onto a truck from a warehouse in Oregon, and they guarantee I would have it in 4-5 working business days.
I should read my contract which states that they have 30 business days to deliver my furniture. I do not believe this lie either from the several deceitful ladies in the ALLEGIANCE office. I am uncertain who I should notify when my furniture does not show up as the deceitful ladies of ALLEGIANCE MOVERS have promised. All I am now certain about: EVERYTHING MY WIFE AND I HAVE ACCUMULATED IN OUR 80 YEAR LIVES HAS BEEN STOLEN BY ALLEGIANCE MOVING AND STORAGE COMPANY.
The final thing you need to know about ALLEGIANCE MOVERS is that without exception; every person I spoke with or dealt with from that company was a liar and/or a thief. I sincerely hope that you will do yourself a great favor in considering any short move or any cross-country move, such as mine; and, AVOID ALLEGIANCE MOVING AND STORAGE COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE. When I contacted Allegiance, I got to speak with a human being, which is a rare thing. They walked me through my questions and there was pretty good follow-up, too. They called me a couple of days before the move, the day after, and the day before to be sure that the move was scheduled appropriately. I moved from Queens in New York City to the Bronx in New York City. So it was not that far, but a move is a move.
Allegiance's reps were able to pack up my stuff in my old residence, move me to my new residence, then unpack me at my new residence. The moving crew was personable, quick, and efficient. There were a couple of things that were broken, but that’s part of the process. They were apologetic and it was nothing big. Plus, I got reimbursed and a rebate for my broken stuff. All in all, they were there for me to give me assistance when I needed it. It was hard for me because it was a stressful experience moving and I don't know how much of that was due to them and how much of that was due to me. My buddy said that Allegiance was the cheapest and their guys were the quickest that could do my move. So, I went with them and the moving coordinator was awesome. He was super helpful, walked me through everything, and tried his best to keep it within my budget. The final cost came out a little bit more than what I was expecting, but I got the amount after the phone call walkthrough. It's a lot different than the in-person walkthrough and I probably just forgot some things during the phone walkthrough. Other than that, the movers were great. They accidentally ended up packing a couple of the items that were owned by my roommates but that boiled down to more or less the roommate not paying attention with their packing. I had everything separated and when the movers went to the living room, they just grabbed everything and I don’t think he was paying attention that he left some of his stuff out.

If I had known Allegiance was a broker, I would never have gone with them. The price of the move went from $7,000 to $11,000. The rep said that it was the amount of boxes and whatever they called it that they covered. But the rep was cool and set everything up. It's just that when the movers were supposed to be there, they called and said that one of the guys had gotten sick. So they weren't gonna load me that day. Then the next day, when they came to load me, one of the guys didn't have a valid driver's license. He spent the greater part of the morning or part of the day trying to get his driver's license all straightened out. We made the cashier's check out to Allegiance and the guy couldn't take it because it wasn't made out to him. So, I had to go back to the bank and get another cashier's check made out to them.
You don't know what company you're going with till they get here to load. You think you're going with Allegiance and some guy with the name of his company taped on the outside of his door. The crew weren't very professional. They didn’t have uniforms and I was worried about them being so skinny, not being able to load and lift everything but they did good. They loaded everything up but they were not gentle with a lot of the stuff.
My freezer was damaged. They put the straps around it too tight so I got dents in it and where they taped the doors of my buffet, some of the finish came off when I pulled the tape. On my sewing tables, I had to get some stuff to get the glue that was still on there. They padded the stuff that was breakable and needed to be handled very gently like my TVs, which was good because they didn't get ruined. But my furniture did not make it here in great shape. We were told that they would disassemble my husband's desk and then put it back together when they got here but they didn't. We had to put the desk together ourselves.

The moving coordinator from Allegiance was very professional. Everything went as planned. The movers got to my current home before I did, and so everything was fine. There was a damage on one of my bookcases but I let it go. The only thing is I had paid to have them wrap an original painting that I had bought from an artist, and they didn't even wrap it. They stuck it in the box with other things. It was a large painting. I haven't even taken it out to see if it was damaged. I can't get into the garage. I was really horrified that they hadn’t wrapped it in bubble wrapper, especially when I paid $25 a box. They just shoved it in there. I wrapped my things better than they did. I had most of the wrapping done, but I didn't have a box large enough for that. I had asked them to do a couple things, and they didn't even wrap individually or put cardboard in between. I was not very happy.

The only negative thing that I came across was that I don't think I was ever notified of the quantity of the number of boxes that I can have. I was quite surprised when the price came in at $8,000. The other thing is that when it came to moving me, we had certain people and I understand the tipping for those guys. Then when it came to paying, I paid a price upfront and I had to pay the rest when we get to the destination. But it seemed that it wasn't the same people I was making the payment to. I was making it to another company and that made me very leery. But everything turned out okay and I didn't have any problems with any of the furniture.

I talked to a couple of people and they were in detail on what they do, what they provide, and what kind of services I would get. They gave me one predicted time. It just took a bit longer than they had projected. I got an initial cost. And after a few more things were done, the cost escalated a bit more. Other than that, I was still satisfied with the move.

Allegiance was the broker and the guy out of Vegas had to rent a truck because his own truck didn't work. He showed up a day late and did a good job but he hired these two guys. One of them stole some of my prescriptions and my identity. He made a bunch of charges on my credit card the day after we moved. Then, when they got back to Vegas, they put two other guys on my order and those guys showed up and wouldn’t load anything without a certified check. The quote was way higher than I was given in the first place. They said the load was a little bigger than they thought and I told them to tell me how much more it was going to be. They said they couldn’t tell me until they load it up and weigh it. So, I had no room to argue and I paid what they wanted.
Going out of Salem cost me $2500 and getting them loaded in Green Valley, Arizona cost me $2700. It was ridiculous. There’s no sense in arguing with these guys. I wouldn’t recommend anybody go to a broker. These broker houses do whatever they want to do. But it's not Allegiance’s fault. It’s the guys that are running some outfit out of Vegas.

I told the rep that I was searching and would make a decision after I looked at companies. He gave me all the information I needed to do the research. In the end, we chose Allegiance and they were very accommodating. We initially didn't know the exact location of the place we got. I called back and they had to make a change. They also explained to me how long the process would be and the approximate time frame. The moving crew was also very pleasant and they did a very good job with packing things. They wrapped things. I was told prior that the first estimate you get is not gonna be your actual cost. That went up a couple of times. Other than that, they treated everything with care. The ones that did the actual pick-ups and drop-offs were the same people.

We were moving from Colorado Springs to Helena, Montana, and we had a tight timeline. Allegiance Moving worked with us well and I was happy with that. However, they slipped our day-by-day. They basically said, "Oops, sorry, we can't make that day," which caused some problems with our closing because I had to be there for an extra day. Fortunately, that resolved itself in other means. All in all, I liked Allegiance Moving. They were good, friendly, and happy and they were not ridiculously expensive.

The initial price was pretty good, but we still had to add 50% more because the Allegiance guys weren't gonna move the furniture. The original was 45 and they wanted 6,000. They said they have set the final price when they pick everything up because they could change things. They had to make sure they’re being paid for, so it was a surprise, but it wasn't terribly disappointing. They probably did the right thing.
Once Allegiance got our down payment, they dropped out of the picture entirely and we were subject to whichever small moving group they could get to bring it down. It was too bad because when we started out, it was the College group and they were wonderful picking up and very careful in things. Then they put it in storage and another company took it and went from there. We did not realize all the complications that were involved when we started it.
Our things were delivered as scheduled. However, the table was the biggest thing damaged that has value. The damage had to be over $300. The fine print said they would give us 1/6 of the value so the check would have been about $22. We didn't bother to file. But we have had it repaired. Everything else went fine. Everything was put where it belonged.

The salesman was good. We just didn't estimate quite right. The other problem I had was that Allegiance gave it to All In One Moving and that was a disaster. The moving crew was not knowledgeable about the storage fees. There were damaged things and they didn't tell us how to make the claims. We're still trying to figure that all out. But other than that, Allegiance was pretty smooth and straightforward. I would recommend them if they're the ones doing the job.

Essentially, I had arranged with a different mover. I scheduled a month ahead of time and the day before we were supposed to move, we called them up, and they didn't have a truck. I was sort of stuck. At 6:30 the next morning, I was flying to Reno, and I had no alternatives. All of a sudden, one of the Allegiance people called me. They were able to hook me up with the actual long-haul trucker from New Jersey who came the next day and picked up all the furniture. We had already flown and one of my neighbors, also my friend, supervised them all up. He commented to me about what an excellent job they did in packing, labeling, and numbering everything up. It was about a month later before all the stuff was delivered, which was okay, because I hadn't bought a house at that point, so they brought all the stuff to one of the storage facilities, put it in there, and unpacked the truck.
This was the first move I made in 40 years and the first time I hired a professional moving company. I didn't realize that there were a lot of risks when doing cross country moving. A lot of these companies are great if they have the trucks available, if not, they hang you up. Allegiance saved me from that. They were able to do exactly what they said they were going to do. It was like one-stop shopping, and I couldn't have asked for a smoother, easier situation. It was great, especially when I was up against the wall, and not knowing what to do. They saved my bacon and I was very impressed. I only wish that I would have gone through them first. I would definitely recommend someone going to Allegiance before they go to anybody. Allegiance has the resources to get people hooked up with the right movers.
Great Feedback, Gene! We genuinely appreciate it and we're glad to hear that you're happy with you our services!

Allegiance is very well-rated. But their provider of transportation was questionable and we had a hard time with them. I scheduled for delivery on the same day but this was not on their record so they wanted to move my stuff within a month. I couldn't receive my furniture within a month. I had to receive it on the same day. They should be more disciplined with the information from the customer if the customer makes an appointment for a delivery on the same day. I had this on my email and on the phone.
When they get your furniture, they say that they can deliver within a month without saying the available date. And you're not prepared for that. It’s complicated because you have kids and you all need a place. Within a month is a lot of time. Even if you go to a last-minute hotel or Airbnb, you cannot stay a month waiting for your furniture. I had to really struggle last minute to convince them to deliver on the same day. That's a headache because moving per se is already a hassle.
The major problem was the logistics provider only accepts cash. I had to move on the weekend, which the majority of people ended up scheduling. My move was a Sunday and there were no banks open. The provider wanted a very large amount of cash for the interstate moving. I just couldn't make it. It’s not like I normally have $10,000 in my wallet. An ATM would not allow me to withdraw so much money.
I moved a lot. Since I arrived in the United States, this is like the first time I had to pay all cash, especially for such a large amount. I didn't understand why the provider could not accept more modern payments. I understand that they don't wanna pay taxes but it's problematic. I explained to the provider that I was paying part of the bill via Venmo, part of it Zelle, part of it cash, and part of it I got from friends that gave me a bunch of money at the last minute. The service was good overall but I wouldn't recommend this service because of the cash problem. The company can go to the next level but it would need some tweaks.

Allegiance itself was fantastic from beginning to end, until they got me with the mover that they brokered for me. Then it went downhill from there. The mover picked my stuff up on April 24th. We asked to have it by the 1st at our home here in Mississippi, which I knew was unrealistic. My understanding was from that date of pick-up, it was 7 to 14 days to receive our goods. Then when we didn't receive them two weeks after we moved, which would have been the 8th, and I was told that it was 21 days.
Trying to contact with the broker was a pain in the neck. He didn't return calls, not very responsive. Then I reached out to Allegiance, Allegiance reached out to him, and the first time, he called back. The second time, he didn't even return their call. When I finally got my stuff on Saturday, they broke a corner off on our driveway of the rental house that we're in, drove up on the grass and made about a 12-inch deep divot, broke our bed, and broke my wife's jewelry box. The movers themselves were pretty good. But their boss, not so much. He was responsive getting back to me as far as the driveway damage and he told me what to do to file a claim for my furniture. He was supposed to text me the information of where I needed to go to file the claim and that still hasn't happened.
We had sets of stairs in our house. On the contract from Allegiance, it said that they didn’t charge for the first set. The second set should have cost me $75. I brought that to the attention of the mover because they charged me an additional $125 per stair so I had to pay 250 bucks extra to them. They took our stuff to a warehouse, offloaded it, and did some other jobs.
When they went back to load it, I was upset when I talked to the gentleman. I told him that he ought to discount us because they hadn't met the contract. He told me that he was going to add an additional $600 onto the cost because they had to load and unload it at the warehouse. I got a deal in that because there were bulky items. I discussed those bulky items with the guy from Allegiance so there was no secret there. There were couple of items that we added to it because they were forgotten. I went from an initial of $2,900, which I thought was low, with the discount I was given, to almost 9 grand. I would not recommend them to anybody. I was very dissatisfied. My wife and I had to stay in a hotel for a while and then we had to buy furniture. We had to spend more money. But then, Allegiance was great.

My expenses doubled. I was quoted about $2,000. So far, I'm at 5,000, and part of that is my fault. I had more than I anticipated. I gave away all the big heavy things thinking that was going to make a difference, but it didn't. One of the reasons I had more boxes than expected was because I had a lot of antique dishes so I ended up bubble wrapping and putting them in old blankets that I had planned on taking. Then nobody told me that Allegiance had up to 21 days to deliver the furniture after I got a house. It would have been nice if I was told that right in the beginning because my bed was in there. Otherwise, the people that picked up and packed were amazing and very professional. I didn't feel like I needed to keep an eye on anybody. I was very comfortable being by myself there with them and I trusted them. They wrapped and packed everything really well and handled everything very carefully. We'll see how the delivery guys are and the final price.

I wish I hadn't gone with Allegiance. Allegiance farms out their movers and the companies kept sending our stuff elsewhere instead of getting them and bringing it to us. They took our furniture from Biloxi, Mississippi and took it to Dallas, Texas. They put it in a warehouse and I don't think it was climate-controlled because our stuff is filthy, dirty, and dusty.
Then, they tried to charge me an extra $500 because they said I changed the address but we gave them the right address to begin with. I got that straightened out but it took a month and a half to get our furniture. Then, when we got it, some of it is damaged. The table and glasses are cracked and pitchers are ruined because they were wet. The movers were very pleasant but it didn't appear that there was a lot of care taken with our stuff when it went from the truck to the warehouse and then back from the warehouse to the truck. We haven't unpacked most of the stuff because we only got it yesterday and we're still finding things that are not right. For $10,000, they should have done a much better job.

I was looking for non-broker type companies. I ended up finding Budget then they connected me with Allegiance which ended up being the best deal. The person I spoke to at Allegiance graduated from the same college I did in Michigan so we connected. He gave me an even greater discount which was awesome. They had open communication and reviews were good online which can get a little dicey with moving companies. Ultimately, I kind of went with my gut there. I went into it realistic. I was very upfront about the amount of items we needed to ship. I counted everything. I wanted to make sure our pricing was as accurate as possible, and it ended up being right on the nose. Who they sent were very impressive. They got it done so fast. I'm very thankful we had them.
People need to manage their expectations that they're not going to get an exact date or time for the pickup. Know that there is a two to three day window, and if they can't manage that, then that may not be the best fit for them. But we were flexible. It didn't end up being the first day they quoted but it was the second which was fine. They called about an hour out then they were there. They did a fine job with storage too.
Great feedback! We genuinely appreciate it and we're glad to hear that you're happy with your relocation service!

In the beginning, the guy was super nice and I liked the fact that they didn't badger me like other moving companies. He just gave me a quote and left me alone. But the person that helped me plan the details of the move was a smart aleck. I wasn't impressed in the end. Everything that I was told in the beginning by both guys was not the truth. They didn't tell me that they were just somebody that signs movers. I was under the impression that Allegiance was the moving company.
They also gave me a completely different quote. The movers said they don't charge by box which was not what I was told. I called and wanted to speak to the original guy and I could tell that they were side-by-side. It got worse and worse. I kept trying to call one day and they have caller ID and wouldn't pick up my phone calls. I called probably 30 times. I had my girlfriend call from her cell phone right next to me and they picked up on the first ring. The movers were very nice and the second set of guys were even nicer but they weren't part of Allegiance.

Allegiance was the most accommodating of everyone I had talked to, and they were very nice. They were very knowledgeable and friendly. I looked up several moving companies that had offices here in the general area. I had a special, difficult move because it’s a single piece. I talked to half a dozen local movers, and they all didn't do something like that. I talked to one of Allegiance's people in Florida. The rep was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable that they could do this and that they would apparently take very good care of the hutch, wrap it up, and then bring it down. They'd pack it at one end, and then unpack it at the other end and set it up for us. I was impressed with the way that the gentleman indicated that. His name was John. I went ahead and set it up with him. They showed up on the day that they were supposed to, but at 9:00 o'clock.
The other loading had taken longer. They just trucked on and did a good job up in Maryland. When they got down here, it was also a late delivery. It took longer to get where they wanted to go, and then deliver it to my daughter. They stayed late and made sure it happened, and we're very appreciative. It was pretty good service. The move was not cheap but we got the most bang for our buck. They were competitive with the other pricing that I had gotten. Moving is a real pain and anything that you can do to relieve any of that pain is very helpful. Allegiance did that for us. I had always planned to go up and get it myself. It just didn't work out with our schedule. So, it made my life a lot easier. They did a heck of a job.

The rep with Allegiance was fine. It's the moving company itself that I had issues with but it was Allegiance's fault that they hired this moving company. They did a good job but the driver was rude. Also, they charged me an extra $800 even though I had called and told them how many bins I had of this size and what I had going. He showed me the inside of the truck and said, “Yours is only gonna go from here to here.” But there was already a king-sized mattress in the truck which took up some of my space that I was supposed to be getting for my items. Then they said they'd be here on Wednesday. Originally, I was told Saturday. I hurried down here and I got here Wednesday morning or Tuesday night but they didn't show up till Saturday.

They must have paid for the endorsement because they don't hold up when it comes to customer experience. They ask you to estimate your box count which is nearly impossible for a regular person. So they offered to send someone to do an inventory of my house to make sure the estimate was accurate. The first guy told them he had COVID and couldn't come yet they never told me and tried to blame me for canceling!! When a second person did come, my quote increased by $2000! But I was already locked in too close to my moving date to get someone else. So I booked it and they subcontract everything out....
When the movers contacted me they tried to change their arrival time to 3 pm which was not what was discussed with Allegiance who told me I would be booked on Saturday with Sunday as a hold for job completion. The movers said the two days were in case they don't come the first day!! Like I have the ability to wait around for 2 days waiting for them to arrive. Allegiance took no accountability for their miscommunication. Day prior the movers gave me a new estimate.... Guess what.... Another $2000!!! When I confronted Allegiance they claim that the estimate wasn't to update box count, which again was a lie because the box count clearly changed.
This is the worst company I have ever dealt with and I caution anyone that calls them in the future. Now they they have all of my stuff. If they try to do something to retaliate you as a reader are my witnesses... Between their poor communication, lack of accountability, and one of their subcontractors - S&M Relocation this is a company that only got one star because I couldn't give them zero.... Oh and after the poor guys packing me up were told they needed to stay until it was complete knowing they had a 3 hour drive ahead of them. I told them they need to find a better company to work for - one that doesn't use and abuse its employees on a Saturday expecting them to work a 12 hour day. Poor excuse for a company.

The reps were very professional, but one of the things that struck me was they gave one estimate and then later on it went up almost 15% to 20%. It was the same list of items I gave them initially. They reviewed it and then started adding. Because I was between a rock and a hard place, I couldn't question it and I just took it on the chin. We sold our house in Oklahoma and we were moving to Virginia. We were under the gun to get our stuff out of the old house and everything was so quick paced. The people that bought our house wanted to move in sooner, so that put us in a hard spot between closing on our new house and leaving the old house. It turned out, the people let us move in a couple of weeks early because of that and we had plenty of time for the new house.
The crew was fantastic. They came in, did what they had to do, and cleaned up after themselves. It was the same with receiving or delivering the items. They were in and out and they were top-notch to me. We have minimum damage, which you're going to expect some on any kind of move. I would recommend Allegiance Moving. Compared to some of the other carriers I talked to, we got a good price for what we had. They came in $1,500 over the top one we talked to.
We are so glad to hear that you had a great experience with the crew! We work hard to make sure we send out a great team for every move and offer services that meet out customers expectations. Hope everything is going well in your new home!
