Although the size of the whole screen is large, it isn't capable of showing the complete picture. It cuts off some things. Adjusting it only makes the picture warped & stretched, but still cuts off edges; if there are words or names, it loses letters.

I bought a very expensive 60 inch Smart TV that was not smart at all as the WI-FI has never worked and after numerous calls to the useless call center in the Caribbean nothing was ever resolved. I own several expensive appliances from washer dryer to fridge but I will never purchase another Samsung product again because this company's poor record for resolving issues for their cheap products. Based on all the poor reviews it's no wonder why all their loyal customers such as myself will never purchase another Samsung product again. If I could give this company zero stars I would.

First off Samsung TV is very streamlined and it has a very classic look, not too abstract looking, difficult to figure out. Also, appearance is great and it has a decent sized screen. Finally, the color is good which adds to the overall appearance.

I love how I can connect to my smartphone. I love how the remote can run my Blu-ray player and was easy to set up. I love their customer support too. I love all the apps that is included in it too and how it connects to my antennae to bring in all the TV channels. I also love the size as it is perfect for above my fireplace as well as it is curved and that I can see the words at the bottom of the screen too.

I have had this TV for more than two years and I have pretty good knowledge in using it. Very nice image but poor smart TV performance. Need to reset TV by unplugging it. Not enough HDMIs. I am so with this TV. My previous TV was a Sony, which had a more solid performance. I see this TV as more fragile. The last update on the TV was more than a year ago with no updates.

My Samsung Television is 40 inches wide and black in color. The color matches my room decor. It is very lightweight. I can carry it from room to room without difficulty. The picture is clear with bright vivid colors. The remote is the perfect fit for my hands. It is not too large or small, just perfect. Most importantly, it is completely user friendly. For instance, the buttons and numbers are easy to read. Finally, the remote setup is not complicated adding no extra components. Lastly, the back of my Samsung Television is designed so that anyone with any issues can connect other devices with ease. I love my TV. No problems for 3 years.

Samsung is a well known Company with a very good reputation and their products are outstanding and price was very good. I'm very happy with my Samsung T.V in every way except the size. I wished I had purchased a larger one to be put on the wall, but for now I am satisfied with what I have. It has lots of features though I still haven't figured out all of them, but I will. If I need support I just have to bring it up on my T.V. and all the contact information is there. I am confident in the Samsung Company and their brand of products.

I purchased two Samsung TVs. A UE40 ES6800 purchased in October 2012 failed to connect to the internet after about 1 year. Samsung Support said a WIFI module had probably failed and would need to be checked by their Authorised Service Centre. The cost involved was completely out of the question. I now use it as a not very Smart TV. The second TV, a UE32F6510 purchased in April 2014 went completely blank after about 2 and a half years. Samsung Support could not correct and said the LED had failed. The Service Centre wanted £318.66 to repair it but suggested it be scrapped and a new TV be purchased. Samsung Support are not now prepared to assist and 2 recent emails to their CEO did not receive the courtesy of a reply. I will certainly never consider purchasing another Samsung TV.

Samsung held a promotion with DirecTV and AT&T that would provide a free Samsung Smart TV once you add services with AT&T, purchase a new S7 Edge phone and start qualifying service with DirecTV. I purchased a new home in April of 2016 and signed up for Internet & DirecTV through AT&T. While on the phone with them, I was asked if I was interested in taking part in the promotion. I was with Sprint at the time and the switch to AT&T increased my monthly bill but I agreed to take part in the promotion for the free television. After a few months, I received an email from Samsung Promotion Support stating that I did not qualify for the television due to them not being able to confirm that I had the proper service in place with AT&T. I contacted AT&T and they let me know that I did in fact have the proper qualifications to receive the free television from Samsung.

When I reached back out to Samsung, they escalated it to their Tier II department in Promotion Support. After about a month, I was contacted again by Tier II (samsunghelpdesk@prizelogic.com), and advised that they had resolved the issue. A month later, I received another email from them stating that I did not qualify. But this time, they stated that I didn't have the proper DirecTV services in place. I asked that they reach out to DirecTV again while I was on the phone with them and they said that they didn't have the capability to do so. I decided to take control of the situation by contacting DirecTV myself and then had the representative agree to go on a conference call with me to speak with the Samsung Promotion Support Tier II team.

Once they were on the call, I explained that I had a representative from DirecTV and he spoke with them. He gave them his Employee ID number and then went on to confirm that I did, in fact, have the proper services with DirecTV to qualify for the free Samsung Smart TV and that there was no issues on the part of DirecTV as Samsung tried to imply. The representative from Samsung Promotion Support Tier II said that he understood the situation and that he would mark the ticket ** stating that the DirecTV representative confirmed the qualifying services were in place and that I went on to say that I should be receiving the television within a few months.

Fast forward to October of 2016, six months after I first purchased the products and was told by the AT&T representative that I had purchased all of the required services and should be receiving my Samsung Smart TV "soon". I get an email from samsunghelpdesk@prizelogic.com: "Thank you for your patience, we can confirm that your submission has been rejected by AT&T. This determination is final and cannot be changed. We do apologize for any inconvenience. If you have further questions please reach out to AT&T."

This was after receiving this in July of 2016: "Thanks for the inquiry. Everything on the Samsung receipt side is good. We are waiting on Directv to approve your account now. Once they send us approval your shipment will be processed. https://promos.samsungpromotions.com/atttvoffer/en-us/Rules. If you have any questions please let us know." Then this in August of 2017: "Thanks for the inquiry. We're showing Directv has rejected you due to Ineligible contract. You will need to contact them about this matter as we here at Samsung do not have access to your account with them."

So, as you can see, this seems to be a scam that is being used by Samsung to have people purchase their products under the false pretense that they would receive a free Samsung Smart Television. After purchasing a Samsung S7 Edge smartphone for $794.99 on April 18th of 2016. They never had any intention of sending me the free Samsung Smart TV. My original submission number for the promotion was **. I would hope that no one else would be deceived or defrauded the way that I was.

I ended up with an expensive new phone that I didn't need the expense of, new phone service that I paid more for on a monthly basis and new satellite cable service that I could have paid less for elsewhere all due to Samsung refusing to agree to their contractual obligations and knowing that most consumers don't have the means to take them to court. If anyone else has gone through the same thing and would like to be part of a class action suit against Samsung, please feel free to reach out to me directly. Thank you.

Purchased my Samsung Smart TV in 2013. Intermittent problems with using the Smart Hub features within a year. In December, they discontinued SKYPE app. Now unable to connect to network. Purchased new router, added power extender, reset DNS, did factory reset. Have reviewed hundreds of complaints about this condition with their Smart TVs mostly purchased since 2012.

The suggested fixes by Samsung Support are "Band-Aid." The cause is, without a doubt, the Wifi LAN adapter card inside the TV. I have talked with their customer care management and they will do nothing beyond warranty. The part cost on their website is $79... less on Amazon. It is not the cost, it is the principle and fact that they have a faulty part in their TV, hundreds of complaints and frustrated owners. They are a South Korean company that started out as an inferior, entry-level electronics company called GoldStar. Many of their products are very good, but those that are bad... are really bad, i.e. recent smart phones, washing machines, and a simple internal WiFi adapter in TVs costing over $1000.

First I am not satisfied with the reason and second I can't ask for further engineer visit as you have to pay Rs1000 for every visit. This is not acceptable from a giant company like yours. I purchased this TV in mid-Nov. 2016. Since then I have called Samsung six times because the Netflix and Youtube apps constantly freeze. Samsung technicians reset the "smart hub", deleted and reinstalled the apps, but the problem continues. The last tech I talked to indicated there is almost positively a problem with the unit and escalated the problem. Each call to Samsung ran between 45 and 60 minutes. The Samsung people finally agreed to have a technician visit my home, and even provided a confirmation number. Less than ten minutes afterwards, Samsung sent me an email cancelling the service call, blaming the apps for the problem. Of course, these same apps work on another brand intelligent TV we own. While the picture on the tv is magnificent, the aggravation is not worth the purchase. Suggest considering other brand alternatives before purchasing a Samsung TV product.

I purchased 2x Samsung Smart TVs from AO.com on 1st October 2015. Mid 2016 one of these started to display an intermittent fault stating that there was weak signal strength, as a result connecting to Sky was not always possible. There was no such problem on the other 3 TVs in my property connected to Sky via the multi room system. This continued for a few months then the TV would show nothing on the screen at all but the sound was ok. I called out the engineer who fitted the TVs. He diagnosed that there was a problem with the TV main board back light system. I contacted AO on 2 occasions via their customer service email address -no reply so clearly AO do not do customer service just sell on line, buyer beware!

I then telephoned Samsung. They told me to take the TV to a repair shop in Bradford. I called them, they wanted £30 to look at it and said they did not know when they could, this was early December. I found a repair shop locally and took it to them. They diagnosed the fault to be the main board and provided an estimate. I telephoned Samsung. The lady spoke with a supervisor who authorised the repair and provided a reference number for me to give to the repair shop. The repair shop then had to ring Samsung for authorisation. They rung Samsung twice quoting the reference but there was no one available to authorise. I rung Samsung quoting the reference but there was no one with any knowledge. They asked me to send proof of purchase which I did. I heard no more.

I then emailed Samsung advising the situation. I received an email confirmation saying that someone would be in touch within 5 days-no one got in touch. I authorised the repair shop to complete the repair which they did, I paid them, the fault is rectified. I emailed Samsung again and attached the repair invoice asking for a reimbursement. The email was acknowledged and said someone would be in touch within 5 days. No one got in touch. I then telephoned Samsung.

The advisor acknowledged receipt of the emails, the proof of purchase and invoice but said he was not authorised to resolve the issue. This had to come from the email department. He said they would be in touch. Guess what, correct, no one has been in touch. I then went on the Samsung UK website. It said if you had concerns over customer service email directly the CEO. I did twice, guess what, correct, no reply. During this fiasco I received a customer service telecall, automated. 3 questions. I gave 0 on each question. Did it provoke a response, guess what - correct, NO! I THINK IT IS FAIR TO SAY THAT THIS COMPANY IS DYSFUNCTIONAL AND SHOULD BE AVOIDED.

My unit saw the wireless connections with NO PROBLEMS just prior to my downloading the Samsung update for the unit. Once the update finished, the unit rebooted, then no longer saw the wireless connections. I went through calling my ISP and they informed me that it is an issue with the Samsung update... However, Samsung will not admit this.

The unit's ability to connect wirelessly is a feature that consumer are purchasing these units for, and I paid almost $4000 for this unit. All of my devices are Samsung, so I am/was a HUGE fan of Samsung. I plan to purchase another unit, it just won't be a Samsung because I see that there are a number of issues being reported to Samsung that they are not able to fix, redirecting their customers to repair companies at the customer's expense. You are advised to view the Samsung Community comments on Samsung products prior to purchasing... Not unless you wish to end up spending money on repairs down the line. Of all these items, just the 55'' LCD tv never caused any problems, probably because use is minimal. All the other items have had problems anywhere between 1-2 years of use. Each time I have called customer support, they have been quick to remind me that I recently ran out of warranty. And much as everyone knows that Samsung products, especially tvs have great appeal when sitting next to their competitors in the store, this has been my red flag to start transitioning to a new brand(s), carefully researched into longevity.

They informed me my extended warranty was up last month and the call would cost 69.95 and of course whatever parts and labor were needed to fix it. The technician arrived a week later and immediately told me the screen blew and would have to be replaced. This would cost more than I paid for the TV new! It's disappointing to spend so much money on a product and its life expectancy is only 2 years, and it was hardly ever used. I think that's a sign for me to never buy another Samsung TV again and to tell all my friends not to waste money on a product that will not last. This was truly a waste of a lot of money and time and a lesson well learned.

So here's the deal. Bought a 60" Samsung ultra-thin smart TV Dec. of 2013. TV work perfectly... no real issues or problems with it. Suddenly one day of 2015, there was a loud pop and TV went black, never to come on again. Called Samsung because I heard about a lawsuit about such issues and that they had agreed in the lawsuit to fix all broken TVs of course. They POSTED a date that this would stop and my TV of course even though it's the same problem or something similar, they refused to fix it for free.

TV wasn't even two years old. Paid $2500 for it. I was told they would send someone to repair it. YET when they called to set an appointment, I'm told I would have to pay $150 just for the tech to come out. Plus labor and parts. So I'm out 150 just for you to show up that doesn't even count labor and parts. Are you serious? SO I told them no, that the person I talk to at Samsung implied it would be fixed for free. Not to HAPPEN I was told soon as I worked things out with Samsung. Give them a call back of course. Suddenly I have no warranty on it the Sat, and I would have to pay to get it fixed even though there was a lawsuit against them behind such issues with their TVs.

So me being the repairman I am as I'm a contractor that does handy repairs for customers as well as the regular construction and remodeling, I researched and found the capacitors were known to blow. SOUNDS like my pop so I open the TV no longer worried about a warranty as trying to get it fixed. I got the runaround until the warranty was dead so they could say they no longer had an obligation to fix it. Upon opening my no longer warrantied TV, inspection revealed no blown capacitors. Scratching my head I tested half a day. SUDDENLY I found my issue or so I thought -- not a blown capacitor but a blown component. I search trying to find a replacement only to be told that was not to be found by itself, that I would have to replace the whole power board. Searching for one they ranged from $300 plus bucks. Mind you this is a TV I was charged $2500 bucks for.

As a contractor I'm gone most of the day, home late at night. At the time I lived alone meaning the TV might see at the most 4 hrs of use if that a day. Football on the weekend and maybe some gaming depending on mood if my team one good if not bad TV goes off. NOT big on TV shows but will watch a movie with no commercials. BUT N E ways. I finally found a used power board for 100 bucks. So I ordered it. Now I'm 2600 in... not bad I felt at the time. This shouldn't be happening but things happen. No big deal. Company doesn't want to stand behind their product... fine. I'll fix it myself. Only costing me 100 bucks. I win. Lol, not to be.

Part comes. I put it on and nothing. I can hear it now. There's a hum where there wasn't but TV still will not power on. NOW I seen the component I know it had blown so that had to be the problem. SO now I'm back to my multi-meter and testing. WATCHED a video that told me to disconnect things one at a time to see if I got a response. ONCE I disconnected the main board from the power board my backlight suddenly pops on but that's it. I plug it back in. It goes back off. So I call the local repair shop and am told, "You probably need to change the main board out too. It's grounding out somewhere."

Mind you this TV had a short life from the factory it was built in to the store. Still in the box when I bought it. IT was my birthday/Christmas present to myself in Dec. 2013. Here 2016 I'm fighting to get a 2500 TV working because again this company refuses to stand behind their product. I heard several people say some of these companies build their products to fail after a certain period of time so you have to go and buy another in a few years which is why they don't stand behind their products. Some bozo's trying to get his numbers up and if he has to worry with you it counts against him so he blows you off. You get the runaround, etc.

BUT back to my TV. Here it is 2017. Me and my now girlfriend are living together and end up in a fight tonight. We only have the one TV still as my Samsung is still not fixed partly because I haven't had time. So we argue over the TV. I still don't watch much but when I do she complains because she don't like what I like and I don't care for Lifetime, etc. This TV is a Insignia. I had it before the Samsung. I'd say it's about 6-7 years old maybe older. This TV is on round the clock, 24/7 and still going. For the past 2 years at least, it's been like that and not a problem.

I've seen thousands of complaints about Samsung yet they seem not to care. "Some fool will buy one tomorrow," they say, "so who care if you no longer by from us?" Samsung is not the only one doing this. BUT I'm here because of them. I don't know if another main board will fix this problem. What I do know is I shouldn't be having this problem with a TV that wasn't even two years old and I paid 2500 for. BUYER beware. Customer satisfaction is no longer a priority with most companies nowadays!

On Nov 27 I ordered a 50 inch Samsung tv as a Christmas gift. It was to be arrive between Dec 23 and Jan 3. It had not been shipped by Jan 5. I called customer service to find someone who was not great at English. After 45 min on the line with him he said I needed to cancel my order and order again before he would let me speak to sales. When I stated that I wanted to make sure there was something comparable he insisted that I could not speak to sales before cancelling my order. When I eventually spoke with sales, they told me I should not have cancelled my order and there was nothing comparable. For the same price, I could get a Vizio tv vs Samsung.

Sales eventually advised me that there was another sale in two days... and that he would be sending me a specific email with all the information including his information so that I would get an additional credit to purchase the new tv. This did not happen. Even though I confirmed several times that with him on the phone. They still have my money... there was no call or email. There was no sale. I wasted an additional 1.5 hours on the trying to take care of this. I was very surprised that they didn't tell the truth on multiple occasions. Now I hope that they recredit my money so I do not have to go through this again.

At 2 months the dryer in the small bus ceased working, Samsung says no warranty because it is a commercial establishment. The dishwasher has never dried the dishes, still trying to resolve. The tv actually went bad 9 months after I purchased it and it took me a month of procrastination to call them, this is why. I have dealt with Samsung before and they do everything on the phone that they can to stop you from a repair and every time it takes hours. I spent 3 weeks of back and forth with them between receipt proof, photos, and following step by step the procedure (did that one 3 times with them on the phone). So I had about 5 days left on the warranty before I finally got them to agree. Now they wanted me to pay to ship it across country and supply a shipping container. Well another 3 hours and I got them to pay for shipping. It took me about 3 weeks to acquire a box to properly ship the tv and guess what? Samsung gives you 14 days to ship or they stop the process.

So here I go again, that only took 30 minutes. Ok so the next communication I get from them is they want 150 to repair the tv because it out of warranty. So, 1/2 hour later they agree to it. Now I get this special one time accommodation from them stating that they will do it this time, so next time what??? This is the most ridiculous company on the planet. I am going to go out of my way to not buy anymore Samsung products.

This is the 2nd time I'm facing same trouble while purchasing a Samsung TV. But surprisingly this time it's from the very own manufacturer's website, samsung.com. So, here it goes. I ordered a 55 inch curved SUHD TV (UN55KS8500) on samsung.com on 20/Dec/16 and I got a mail saying my Order is confirmed and will receive the shipping Info once the TV is shipped. So, I called customer service after 3 days, i.e on 23/Dec/16, since I didn't receive any shipping details on the purchase I made. They promised me that I will receive shipping details on or before 26/Dec/16.

Since, I didn't receive any mail even on 26th Dec, I called the customer service again and I'm now being told that they don't have a TV in their inventory and my order will get delayed, or might even get cancelled. To know the result I have to wait till 5/Jan/16. So, I was really angry about this and asked them what are my other options to cancel my order, so that I can book it somewhere else. They were clear in accepting that mistake was from their end and I would be compensated for this and would also receive the complete refund.

So, I asked them to send me a mail on the same stating that my order has been canceled and that I would be compensated for the same. They were rude about this and were like it's system generated mail and can't forward it to me. How can I believe that my order cancellation request had been raised if I have not received a mail on this. They were adamant and their reply to everything was same, that I have to wait another 2 business day to receive a mail on the cancellation. I would never trust this site and would never book anything from them again. Thanks to Sam's Club earlier for ruining my Thanksgiving and now same to samsung.com for ruining Christmas. Very bad experience for a first timer in US to do online shopping. Trust - 0% on these online websites.

Black Friday 2016 I attempted to buy a 50" Samsung tv. The price was a great deal and advertised 3-5 day shipping. Received a confirmation email that the order was processed and that a shipping confirmation email would be sent out next. 2 weeks later I had not heard anything. Called customer service (about 20 minutes before getting ahold of someone) and they informed me the item was back ordered with no real anticipation of when it would be back. Offered to cancel, but there would be no more sale prices. Another week passes and receive shipping confirmation (12/08/16).

It is now 12/26/16 and there has been no delivery nor communication. Called today and was told I had a bad phone number?! Funny that they confirmed the number I was calling them on was the number they had on record. Amazed that there was no other attempt to arrange delivery; I guess it's normal practice to let an item sit?!

Overall this has been the poorest shopping experience I've ever encountered. First, they should have informed me the product was back ordered at the time the order was placed, not when I follow up after 2 weeks. Secondly, they shouldn't be advertising 3-5 day shipping at all. Thirdly, there should be some communication between them and their chosen shipping carrier so customers aren't just waiting for something that the shipping carrier isn't going to deliver. I held off cancelling the product because of the sale price but at this point I'm seriously considering cancelling. The entire process has been nothing but inefficient and a waste of time. The worst part is they advertised 3-5 days shipping, on Black Friday, and this product was meant to be a Christmas present; I could have gone with any other company, received a great discount AND received the product in time. Now I'm out both. Absolute terrible experience.

I began researching this issue online using 'shadow on bottom half of flat screen TV a' as my search term. I was surprised to see this complaint listed numerous times and almost always specifying Samsung. The consensus seems to be that fixing this back light problem is expensive and because we don't want to throw good money after bad we are just going to replace TV. We have had great success with Sony flat screens and plan to buy another. Very disappointed that such a highly touted TV as Samsung lasted only 14 months and cost us $1000 dollars.

Samsung UN40H5201AFXZA. I got this supposedly "SMART" Samsung TV and I have decided I will never buy another Samsung TV in my life. I was a SONY TV owner throughout my life for the last 30 years and this Samsung TV will be my first and last. I had 2 problems from day 1: a) After I switch on the TV, I get this message "Preparing TV. Please try again later..." for 2 -3 minutes and I can't start any smart hub apps until then. b) Finally after 3 minutes of waiting I start the Youtube app, and the video gets hung every 3 - 5 minutes and then either I have to restart the video, or it automatically skips to next video if I wait for 5-10 minutes. If I am watching a movie on Netflix, every movie hangs 20 times before I complete the movie.

And I called up Samsung service center to report this issue at the below toll free number, and I spoke to several service representatives, and they did reset of my TV's smart hub, they changed the DNS settings multiple times and they did complete reset of my TV several times (10+times) and nothing fixed the issue. They asked me to check my internet connection, which I did. It was showing 22 MBPS and they asked me to check my router and I had no issues with that router using my laptops, computer or mobile devices at home. And they wasted my several days blaming every other thing, rather than accepting the issue was with the TV.

And finally they want me to go to service center in California which is located 50+ miles away from me, and they said they would charge me $85 for investigating the issue and additional charges for repairs!! So I have basically decide to DONATE this TV and buy a new SONY or LG TV. Below are the customer service representatives I spoke to and the service request numbers they gave me every time I called them! Samsung service centre: 1800-726-7864. Kurt - SR# **, Humaya - SR# **, Ronnie SR# **, Fransis - SR# **, Derry - SR# **. Bottom line: NEVER BUY SAMSUNG TV and I WILL NEVER BUY ANY SAMSUNG DEVICES.

Reached another agent, repeated the whole rigmarole; result I am back at (A) again. Third try as soon as I reached an agent insisted on speaking to a supervisor, long wait on hold, told I was going to be transferred to the mythical "E-Commerce", told that there would be up to half hour on hold, but was cut off after about a minute.

Next try got me three agents in succession whose English was, even worse than the first three, and to make it worse spoke so quietly that what they said was often inaudible. Finally was told that I had to e-mail both serial number AGAIN, and photo of the damage, this was done, no response received. Next day e-mailed the same address telling them that having unpacked the DVD player purchased on the same order # only to find it was dead, plug in does not work, not even the eject button, no response when remote control tried. Next day repeated the e-mail and the next day and the next, no response.

Posted four or five times on Samsung's website finally to be answered telling me that: A) They don't do replacements. B) That I should send them the serial numbers and photographs again. C) I will have to ship the units back to Samsung, not clear if they expect me to pay for that, but if they do they are in for a rude shock. If you actually are foolish enough to purchase a Samsung after reading the multiple horror stories on this site (wish I had found it last week), be sure to buy from someone other than Samsung itself.

We purchased a brand new 65" Samsung curved 4K UHD TV just 3 months ago in September. Ever since we purchased it in September, we have had intermittent issues with the TV not wanting to power off. It would respond to literally every single button on the smart remote, except for the power button. This was an intermittent issue that occurred maybe once or twice a week and it even caused us to have to leave the TV on overnight a few times because it absolutely refused to power off until the following morning.

Yesterday afternoon, we were sitting in our living room watching TV, when the picture suddenly started to fade and then went completely out. We tried to get it to turn back on, but it would not. We then unplugged everything and let it sit for about 20 minutes or so and then plugged just the TV back in to see if we could get it to turn on. It would not come on and we noticed what looked like a spiderweb crack in the lower left hand corner of the screen when the screen would briefly light up as if it were going to come on.

There is absolutely NO physical crack on the screen itself and you only can see it when you try to turn the TV back on and the screen briefly lights up as if it's going to come on. There has been absolutely NO physical damage to this TV whatsoever. It has not even been touched since we set it up 3 months ago. After doing an extensive amount of research, we learned that this is most likely an internal thermal crack caused by a failure of internal parts in our TV set.

I called and spoke with Samsung's so-called "technical support," who was completely useless and said they would send someone out to see if it could be repaired (which we still have not been contacted about). I'm sorry, but that is not acceptable to us. We just paid a significant amount of money for this TV ($1500 to be exact) only 3 MONTHS ago. My husband and I have been very loyal Samsung customers for many, many years. All of our TVs and all but one of our kitchen appliances are made by Samsung and we thought that we could trust our hard-earned money to this brand. We want this TV replaced IMMEDIATELY.

I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau last night and received a phone call this evening from a woman in Samsung's executive office, who gave me the absolute snottiest, defensive attitude ever. The minute I mentioned this crack, she immediately said, "Well, cracks do not just appear out of nowhere, so you or someone else in your home obviously somehow caused physical damage to it." I'm sorry, but is that any way to speak to one of your extremely loyal consumers who has spent literally thousands of dollars on your products over the years??? I explained to her that there had been absolutely NO physical damage to this TV and that it was very likely a thermal crack. I also explained that there are NO physical cracks on the screen at all, that you only see the crack when you try to turn it on and the screen briefly lights up as if it's going to come on. This woman's attitude towards me then became even worse.

I know that Samsung has been dealing with a lot of people like us this past year between their explosive washing machines and flame-thrower Galaxy Note phones, but the way that this woman spoke to me this evening is COMPLETELY inexcusable and I will not stand for it, not for one minute. Believe me, I will make sure that EVERYONE knows about this.

Bottom line: If we do not receive a replacement TV, or at least an agreement to replace it by this coming Friday, December 16th, I will be filing a formal complaint against Samsung with the Attorney General and will be taking our story to the news media. I don't think they want that given their already severely tarnished reputation this year. Samsung, the ball is now in your court to make this right. If you fail to do so, we WILL be taking legal action.

Great info for ALL consumers who have any issues with goods and need the Manufacturer to assist when they are being reluctant. I have bought, and still own, many, MANY SAMSUNG products from TVs to mobiles/tablets, Laptops and home appliances like Fridges and Washing Machines etc over the last 12 years approx. I have always found the Customer Care excellent.

I recently had two TVs develop a very similar fault within 3 weeks of each other and as they were bought at the same time as part of a bulk purchase of goods, to help in my bargaining for the best deal. This meant they were the same age. They were over 12 months and (in theory) outside the stated 1-year warranty, but only by a couple of months and importantly LESS than 24months old. (HINT: Join with Friends and Family to upgrade items together and pay by Credit Card for extra protection and lots of goods gets better discount.)

HOWEVER... Good News. The faults were uncannily similar and was a type of screen pixel failure seen on Plasma Tv products. Not that unusual, but the first time I ever had an issue. The cause still remains unknown. The good thing is that SAMSUNG honoured a "little known EU Directive" which states that "All goods purchased in the EU, regardless of origin, must have a 2-year period of warranty honoured by the manufacturer," in simpler terms. Of course any item that is faulty under 6 months is the responsibility of the Retailer to resolve, ALWAYS, (at no cost to the buyer) and then from 6months + 1 day up until 12 months it is the Manufacturer's responsibility to solve problems again, at no cost to the buyer.

AFTER 1 YEAR UNTIL 12 YEARS IS WHERE THIS EU DIRECTIVE COMES INTO PLAY. Importantly, of course, SAMSUNG honoured it for me. (Once I had sent them a copy to read as they were unaware of it). It may help that I took my Law Degree just 10 years ago... But the EU Directive is not dependent on that. It is VERY CLEAR on the rules.

I had no difficulties with Samsung and I now have two fab Brand New TVs to replace the faulty ones, delivered and fully installed at no cost to me. The EU Directive is VERY easy to read and understand and covers all goods... Though of course large size/Flat Screen and /or Smart/4K TV's are very much worth the time investment to get a resolution compared to say, a kettle, or a Toaster... The EU Directive can be downloaded online from FREE online EU Resources. Just a simple web search will find it with the Reference Number below. The ref no. is: 1999-44-EC. I hope this helps ALL persons on this website, not just Samsung Buyers, but NOT LEAST this experience has shown how helpful SAMSUNG are if they know the rules and they will do all they can to help solve issues for their Customers.

    2. Spend more money on office space so that their call center is NOT so noisy. I could hear and sometimes distinguish what the rep next to mine was saying to her customer! By being so cheap on office space and acoustics, Samsung is decreasing customer satisfaction and increasing amount of time on each call (rep has to repeat)!

    3. Have instructions THOROUGHLY tell how to install a TV. 5 parts came with mine, which had NO instructions for. 4 of them were included in the parts list but not identified as to purpose. The 5th part wasn't even shown with Samsung's documentation. None of these parts were described in the e-manual or hard copy manual, which came with the tv. The representative told me they were for wall mounts but had no documentation to send. She will try to get some.

I have purchased 8 Samsung TV's of various sizes over the past 3 years, 6 on one order for a new home and gifts. They were all smart versions and range in size from 32" to 60". My first failure was in June 2016 on a 32" smart tv. Without any prior problems or any type of damage, it came on with audio only. When I tried to reconnect/reboot it went totally out and would only "click" when powered up. After much troubleshooting I finally decided that it was a total power supply failure and the set needed to be replaced. As this tv was 3 months short of 3 years old I assumed that I would not get any warrant support from Samsung and just chalked it up to a failed tv and replaced it with another Smart Samsung, same size.

Since June I have had 2 additional Samsung tv's fail in the exact same way in 2 different homes and had another of those to failed to power up last week. After resetting it it did power up but I am paranoid that it too will fail in the near future. I contacted Samsung after the second failure and when they finally replied it was to tell me that they would not provide any assistance for replacement of any of the tv's although one of the sets that failed was only 14 months old. There is obviously a design flaw/substandard quality with their power supplies. Although I have purchased many Samsung products over the past 10 years, I will not ever purchase another Samsung product. I had excellent results with Sony products before switching to Samsung when I saw and liked the picture quality of a relatives TV. I have switched back to Sony.

My 32' flat screen TV was bought last year at Wal-Mart. The computer inside the TV went out in June of 2016 and was repaired under the warranty. In Nov 16 2016 I had the same issue with the screen turning gray and I called Samsung service dept to see if I could get it fixed. They said the warranty ran out in July of 2016, but because I was having the same issue they would extend the warranty. They gave me a reference # to give to the service technician so he could get a ticket # to get it fixed. He called the TKT team twice and they told him it was not under a warranty. I have called several times and talked to several different Samsung agents and they all told me that the warranty was extended and to give the serviceman the reference #. I told them he did and they keep denying it... I asked if I could talk to the TKT people and they said no, only the serviceman could.

I keep getting the runaround. Finally a Samsung representative called me and said they could not extend the warranty, after 5 different people said they would extend it. She told me her department did not have the power to extend the warranty that it was up to the TKT team and to call and ask them. I called them and they keep telling me they cannot speak to me, only the service tech. and keep referring me back to Samsung customer service. After calling the TKT team several times they finally told me to as to talk to ECR when I call customer service again, after being put on hold for over half an hour I finally got a hold of an agent who took my information (for the 6th time) and told me a ECR agent would contact me within 5 business days. While I was on the phone with her, a Samsung agent called me on my home phone and asked how I like the service of the agents and how I would rate my service.

I began to tell him (politely) how unsatisfied I was and what they have been doing to me, and he hung up on me. I was not rude in any way, but he hung up on me. I will never buy another Samsung product again, and I will tell all my thousands of friend on Facebook not to buy your product. Your service to your customers is deplorable, and your products are made very poorly. As I said my 32' flat screen Samsung TV’s screen went out twice in less than 2 years, and they are now refusing to accept the responsibility even though it was a manufacturer defect. And your service technicians obviously do not know what they are doing. I have been on the phone four 4 days and being put on hold for several hours cumulative. And have gotten different answers from each person.

I am now going to wait on ECR (whoever that is) to call me within 5 business days, and explain to them as I have already explained to 10 different Samsung reps, my issue with this TV. I am extremely exasperated at this point. Samsung product quality and customer service quality has gone downhill over the years and is getting worse. Never, never again Samsung will I buy any of your products. If you want to keep customers happy and your company in business, I suggest you do some major improvements in all aspects of your company, starting with training your customer service people better and making your products last longer than a year. You are a disgrace.

As I have been in retail sales for over 20 years, and this Facebook site is mostly made up of very close friends, family, former customers and those I attend church with, please listen to what I am typing very carefully. I have just recently found out that both Samsung Electronics (TV division) and Electronics Express (located in mall in Decatur, Al.) are complete frauds. The store in question sold me a defective TV that when I noticed something wasn't right, contacted tech support (yes, SAMSUNG tech support) who "attempted" to help me finalize the setup of my new beautiful TV.

At that point, his advice led to a small chunk of the TV to fall out. He then told me to take it back to the store the next day, where they pretty much laughed at me and said the foil that I was trying to remove was actually the screen. They gave no help at all and when I contacted Samsung I have a list of 9 service texts who confirmed that I did everything correct as per the user manual and instruction guide. I contacted them every other day for over a month until a "Senior Customer Service Resolution specialist" finally called me and said that since I physically damaged the TV I was stuck with a $1500 piece of junk. I only removed the film in the first place because it was coming off exactly like every piece of film I have ever removed off of a TV.

And the topping on the cake is that I purchased the curved edition of this model, which Electronic Express did not have on display and I was given no advice to look for something that may be defective, as from the research that I have done, many of these same models have the same flaws. I am through rambling now, as I could go for hours on this horrible case of customer service, as I never got to even turn my new TV on. Just please, at ALL costs, stay AWAY from Electronic Express and ALL Samsung products. (Like they need any more negative publicity after the Note 7 disaster.)

Did everything on online forums that was suggested as a fix. There is nothing on Samsung's site to help. This evidently goes on every year around the holidays, yet Samsung does nothing. Tried to call Samsung, but "call volume heavy" and no one answered. Tried to get the offered Customer Service chat online, but got message that no one was able to take call (Monday, 6pm, well within their stated hours).

This TV has been far more trouble than it was worth despite being a gift and I would NEVER recommend it to anyone. This has been my experience trying to deal with Samsung for years about both this TV and a refrigerator that failed almost immediately - and then there was no one in the area who fixed them. Also, although I used my account email and the site verified that the email was in use, I cannot reset my password as never receive the password change link despite several tries. If you want a horrible product that you won't be able to get any help with no matter how much time you put in, this is your TV.

When trying to return to best buy they informed us that we only had 15 days to return TV. Went to Samsung for product warranty and when they came to look said the the warranty didn't cover physical damage. Now what does that mean. I just opened the box and there is no box or exterior TV damage. Obviously it is a problem within the TV. Do not buy a Samsung at Best Buy. Neither back the product they sell.

I bought a Samsung TV for $1500 on August 20, 2016. A few weeks in, I notice a scratch on the TV. Now, I want to make it very clear that I never touch the TV except to clean it with a microfiber cloth every now and then. So this wasn't a scratch I put on there. But anyways, I call Samsung and their technician comes over and looks at it. He confirms what I've just said. That the scratch wasn't put on there by consumer use. Probably was done during shipping.

Before the technician came over, I was assured that if it can be confirmed that the scratch was not put in by normal use, I would receive aid. It was also said that the tech would have final say in whether I would receive aid. Of course, when it actually came time to help me, both of these just went right out the window. The technician had no power over the final decision and the fact that they were going back on their own word regarding what they said about normal use didn't seem to bother them at all.

You know who does that? Shady businesses that try to milk you for your money and then disappear. Well, I feel so stupid right now that I thought Samsung was above all that. I've been calling them a lot ever since they rejected me and I'll give you guys a general idea of what's being said to me. "Yeah, we sold you a faulty television. Nothing you can do about it so go ** yourself."

I'm sorry for the language, but I'm a college student with not much money around. I expect what I pay for to have value. It pisses me off pretty bad that Samsung treats me like this. It's not like their tech confirmed that it wasn't caused by me, right? It's not like they promised to replace it if he confirmed that I didn't damage the TV, right? It's not like they record phone conversations and there's proof out there for everything I just said, right? Anyways, my ticket number is **. Have another ticket number because Samsung asked me send pics of the TV scratch twice because they were not competent enough to keep track of all the information I sent them that they asked for. I'd be embarrassed if I was in charge here.

I am not a person to write one of these reviews, but I am currently out of options with Samsung Customer service Canada. I bought a curved TV and it had worked perfectly until August 2016. The TV developed some screen issues that began to spread across the TV. Samsung repaired the TV and sent me an extended warranty on the work. The TV was repaired near the end of August and the issue seemed to be gone.

A month later the left side of the TV has now developed a red/pink haze on the TV. I called the Samsung repair company that did the original repair. The TV technician was in my area that day and stopped by the house to take a look at the TV. Immediately the technician stated my panel was faulty and my pixels in the panel were stuck on red/pink. The technician advised me to contact Samsung and a new ticket would be issued for a replacement, as the replacement part was still under extended warranty from the recent repair.

I called Samsung and sent them the required pictures. Samsung customer service stated they would get back to me in 24 hours. A week later I heard nothing. I sent multiple emails to the customer service agent who I was dealing with. They eventually emailed me back saying they received the email with no photo attachments; I then forwarded them the original email, which shown pictures were indeed attached. The customer service agent replied the pictures were on the forwarded email and the case was escalated to high management to be processed. Another week goes by and no phone call was received. During this week of hearing nothing back I sent the customer service agent two emails wondering when I would receive a phone call.

The customer service agent then replies three days later saying the ticket was cancelled due to the TV operating as it is designed to; now keep in mind the Samsung repair technician as already stated the picture was faulty and needed repair. I called Samsung customer service and gave them the ticket number I was issued. The customer service agent stated that the previous agent had attempted to contact me multiple times, but were unable to contact me so the ticket was cancelled.

I told the current customer service rep I was speaking to that I had multiple emails sent to the previous agent asking about my status with no luck of a response until a week later. The new agent then transferred me to another customer service agent who asked for all my information and opened a new ticket. Once they were done taking my information the agent then transferred me to another customer service agent to review my previous information; not sure why I had to be transferred for this, but I was.

Now speaking with the new agent the first thing the agent said to me is that my TV is out of warranty. I mention to the agent that I have paperwork showing my extended warranty and I could email it to them. The agent agrees and I email them the paperwork. The agent then proceeds to give me attitude, places me on mute, not sure why, then states they need to put me on hold to review my previous tickets. I am then placed on hold for approx. 15 minutes and then was hung up on. I sent the agent an email asking if they have a direct number to call back so I can finish the ticket, but no response back.

I apologize for the long review, but this is something I am at a complete loss at. TV was repaired, new panel was faulty, confirmed by Samsung repair technician due to the red haze on the left side, but customer service states this red haze is part of the normal operation of the TV? I am just at a loss, it’s warrantied, deemed faulty, but a person in the office and saying it is operating normal? Samsung has been nothing but a nightmare. I will never buy a TV from this company again.

Red light would come on, but no sound or screen. Purchased the extended warranty and repair tech fixed it by swapping the smart tv box. That tacked on several hundred dollars to an already bloated initial cost. Funky after 1 year, but simple enough.

The repair tech did not have the smart tv box so it had to be ordered. The tv still did not work after the smart tv box was replaced so they're on to the next possibility. Apart from a high failure rate (2 out of 2) mine have functionality issues that just don't work. There is a function called Audio Return Channel (ARC) - this functions but loses audio sync on a regular basis, every 30 or so seconds. I have contacted Samsung support and got the usual response. In googling this fault I find it is an issue across a large range on Samsung TVs. It seems not to be a hardware problem - more of a code issue. Other Samsung models the issue has been fixed with new software but my model they have yet to release a fix for. How does Samsung manage to release a product that has not had all of its functionality tested, and if tested why release products that don't work?

Whatever you do DON'T buy a Samsung TV! We have been ripped of for $3000 by Samsung. We bought a 60" Samsuck Smart TV approx 3 years ago. Model UA60ES8000. We paid $3000 on special from an online appliance store in Australia. We've never owned a big new TV & we had saved our hard earned $ for 2 years. We were initially thrilled with our purchase as Harvey N had the same TV for $5000. I feel sorry for all those who paid full price for this crap TV!

The TV worked great for the first 2 years, the only issue we had was bad sound due to small, tiny speakers at the back of the unit so we ended up having to fork out for a soundbar. More $$$. The issues started approx 5 months ago. 2 year warranty has run out of course. Suddenly, for no apparent reason the TV won't connect to our WiFi network & we can no longer use any of the smart features like apps and streaming services. We can't update the TV either because there is now no internet connection.

Frustrated we went online only to find 100's of other people trying to get help for error & for the same issues. We tried all the suggested online fixes, nothing worked. We emailed Samsung Customer Service & we were told it was our router/modem. It's not, every other device in our house connects just fine but we followed Samsung instructions and reset everything. Nothing worked.

So next we tried calling Samsuck by phone. After being on hold for nearly an hour customer service said we needed to update the TV. We can't, the TV won't connect to internet! They tell us to download the latest update from their website & install it to the TV via a USB stick. Apparently this would definitely fix it. Nope... Nothing changed after we applied the update via USB, in fact things just seemed to get worse! TV still won't connect to network or internet & now it can't even find our WiFi Network at all.

Smart hub apps have been wiped, in fact Smart Hub is now completely useless without internet. All it does is give us a ''cant connect to network'' pop up.

Back to customer service who said to connect TV to router via Ethernet cable. We had already explained 3 times we can't connect via Ethernet, the TV is upstairs, the router is downstairs. One of the main reasons we bought the TV because we need WiFi!

We were then told to take it to a shop for repair. It would cost us more $$$. At this point we gave up on Samsung NON customer service. We decided to cut our losses on the so called Smart Hub & everything related to the so called smartness on the TV & we went out and bought a chrome-cast streaming stick but more $$$, at least we can now stream Netflix, Stan & YouTube, in fact the streaming works better with chrome cast that the stupid TV ever did when it actually worked!

But now other problems are appearing. We have to keep pressing the power button several times to turn the TV on and off & half the time changing channels is slow and laggy beyond belief. We tried changing batteries in remote Samsung. It's not the batteries or even the remote, it's the bloody TV!!! Then a couple of weeks ago the TV suddenly started turning itself on, by itself, in the middle of the night while we are all in bed asleep. It also randomly turns itself off when we are watching it. This random turning itself on and off random issue is seriously creepy. Is the TV possessed FFS!

Their customer service is non existent, they couldn't care less about their customers, they treat you like you're an idiot! They expect you to pay big $$$ to fix THEIR faults in THEIR products or they just don't bother to follow up on your calls for help. They have our $3000, now we can just piss off. They don't care if unless you pay!

After reading all of the other horror stories here and online regarding Samsung TV's & other Samsung products, the latest being their phones and washing machines bursting into flames, we can only hope our Samsuck TV doesn't decide to blow up & burn our house down while we sleep! How much longer can Samsung be allowed to rip so many people off with their faulty products? It's outright theft.

How much longer can Samsuck risk peoples lives with products that catch on fire and blow up? Something really needs to be done. Would you ever hand a business a blank check for services provided? Well, that's pretty much what Samsung has been telling me to do for the last week. Bought a 60" 4K Smart LED 6 months ago and a single horizontal white line has suddenly appeared. I started the claim process which had been a COMPLETE JOKE. Over the last week and 8-10 phone calls, each employee provided different directions and requested the same exact info continuously: Serial number, picture of receipt, picture of failed picture test, etc... They failed to update my trouble ticket every single time which ultimately resulted in prolonged service calls that went nowhere. After requesting to speak with a manager/supervisor I was informed that they do not have managers/supervisors.

After following Samsung's troubleshooting process 4 times and reviewing pictures of my television, Samsung informed me that the tech agent would be sent out and that if the television doesn't need technical repair or replacement, I will be charged for services provided. Samsung then failed to provide a price quote & the service number provided reaches a voicemail box that is full. I refuse to obligate myself to pay for a service that does not publish prices.

I purchased a Samsung TV, model UN55KU6290FXZA. The TV was a gift and was NOT set up in our house until after Best Buy's 15 day Return Policy had passed. I set up the TV on September 17, 2016. On September 25th, after only watching the TV for a total of 10 hours, we lost the picture. Still had audio. Monday, September 26th, I called Samsung, reported the problem, they set up a ticket - ** and about a half hour after I hung up the local authorized Samsung Service Center called to set up an appointment to repair the TV.

Repair Tech came out Thursday, September 29th. Serhiy replaced the TV screen, picture was back and he left the TV on, as I wanted to calibrate the TV settings after he left. I realized I did not the time to make the changes immediately, so turned off the TV and planned to work on it later. I tried the TV 2 hours later - no picture. I called Samsung and asked that the ticket be re-opened. Also, repairman had left his card and I tried to reach him. Calls went to voicemail and left a message. Called Samsung back and they suggested I call the Service Repair Center back at a different phone number. I tried and got voicemail again. Called Samsung a third time and demanded they call in Repair ticket. After 5 o'clock, so they said they could not call.

I called Repair Center the next morning and left another voicemail. Contacted Samsung and asked them to call technicians. Repair was finally scheduled for Wednesday, October 5th. Same Technician showed up and this time, he replaced the TV's power supply. Result - no picture. Defective power supply. He then replaced the screen again. No picture. He had a second power supply available, tried that and still no picture, only sound. Over the 2 visits, the Tech had essentially re-built a second and a third TV. None of which worked.

Between 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, October 5th and today, October 11th @ 12:25 pm, I have placed 18 calls to Samsung and have been told I would receive a callback from the Escalation Center, who is the only group that can handle this matter. I do not want the TV repaired. I have been told I would receive a call within the next 24 to 48 hours. Never happened. I have been told the department is very busy because of Samsung's phone issue. I don't care. A new Escalation ticket was created - **. Never received a callback within the 2 hours guaranteed on 3 different occasions. I have spoken with 9 different supervisors, who can't help me. Two of them guaranteed they personally would call me back the next day at 9:00 am. Never received a call.

I currently have another Escalated Ticket written - ** with a guaranteed callback. Time runs out in 30 minutes. This Customer Service is unacceptable. I have received 2 surveys from Samsung asking how my Customer Service experience has been and if my problem has been resolved. I have not responded positively.

After 2 years of research and saving my nickels and dimes I purchased this $2000 boat anchor of a TV from Sears in Fairview Heights IL in early 2014. I really wanted a Panasonic but they announced they were leaving the market and all of their remaining stock was quickly bought up before I could make a move. So I went with the "next best" thing. And it was awesome for a short while.

But 2 1/2 years later (and conveniently 1 1/2 years past the warranty) the power supply pops out on me in dramatic fashion after acting strange now and again. After contacting Samsung customer service to no avail the recommended Samsung certified repairman (who charged me $412.00 parts and labor) told me next time it begins to act funny to pull the power supply and resolder the PCB connections on the capacitors, otherwise the transistors will eventually fry and fail catastrophically again. One would think that Samsung could at least re-engineer a replacement power supply that is worthy of the costs involved. Couple all of the woeful tales on this board with the Galaxy 7 debacle plus the exploding washing machines and it's OVER for SAMSUNG. Based on my experience I will never buy from them again.

I have had my Samsung Plasma TV for a few years now, maybe 4 or 5. However, over the last 6 months or more both the TV and the entertainment unit started doing some weird things. First of all the TV and the entertainment unit would turn itself on automatically, either while I was, or even while I was not using it. Sometimes in the middle of the night I would hear the TV turn itself on, or the TV unit would turn on and the radio would be on. It would also turn itself off when I was watching it. The entertainment unit would also start playing the radio even when it was turned off (there would be no visible power to the unit and the radio would start playing through the speakers). This occurrence would happen either regularly, or sparingly, but it continued for a good while until this morning the TV blew up with a bang and smoke poured out the top vents.

I am disappointed and because it is out of warranty I suppose I will have to go and buy another one. I won't be getting another Samsung as I have always been very disappointed with the TV quality - it has always been very pixelated/blurry, and for the money I paid for it in this day and age, I expected a much better picture quality (I had tried almost everything to improve the picture quality) - the picture quality was always perfect when watching movies of great quality, but the general TV quality was always very poor. Samsung 65", UHD CURVED, SMART, UPP. I bought for Christmas the above TV, called a SMART TV. The TV is actually anything but smart. I bought it because certain TV programs are only available over the internet, like FX2Go. What a surprise when I found out that my new TV has ancient programs uploaded, for example an old version of Flash Player that doesn't allow new streaming TV programs to be watched. The TV gives the "smart" advice to download the newer version of Adobe Flash Player in order to watch the programs. It turns out: You can't! Your new TV is not prepared to upload a newer version of this important program and you will not be able to watch streaming TV programs, which is nowadays a big part of everybody's TV programming.

A telephone call to Samsung Technical Support got me this "amazing" answer: "You bought a TV, not a computer. The TV is not set up to download newer versions of certain programs!" And then I was disconnected! With other words, I bought a TV with programs that were already outdated and useless at the time of purchase. And Samsung clearly doesn't care. This is a warning to everybody who considers buying a Samsung Smart TV.

I purchased this TV at the end of 2013, and this was Samsung's 2013 model. I did much research and it had excellent performance reviews from CNET and other reviewers. The TV started failing after about 24 months, sound no picture, Power off, then on would restore the picture until about the 29th month. When the problem first started I thought it might be due to the interconnected Samsung Blue Ray and Surround Sound system that came with the TV. When it failed completely, I began checking reviews and troubleshooting blogs to discover these models are having mass failures, all the same problem.

As was cited in the blogs, Samsung has no parts available to fix this TV. I contacted the store I purchased it from, Samsung in the Philippines and even Samsung in Korea. They all said either they had no parts to fix this problem or in regards to Korea would never respond. This TV cost $4,000 and after 29 months, in pristine condition (other than it doesn't work), it sits in my storage area. Samsung does not care about service in the least. It's not a matter of cost. I've not argued a warranty issue. Samsung's policy is simply tough luck, "we got your money and we don't care."

I will never buy a Samsung product again. I have since bought a 55 inch TCL for about $500. It comes with a 2-year warranty as standard. I can't tell the difference in picture or sound quality. I am not here to sell TCL product, but when I questioned the service people at my local retailer, they said Samsung TVs are always back with warranty issues. They hardly see a TCL back. And if they do see one returned it is due to damage in shipping, not defect in product. $4,000 U.S. is a lot of money and when you consider that within 29 months of a new product introduction, one that is being reported with severe defects, Samsung has decided to abandon its customer service, why would you buy anything from them again. Particularly a new product without years of service history to evaluate.

Takeaways: Based on personal experience and many similar (aka - identical) complaints found online, regarding failed Samsung TVs clearly 1.) Samsung is offering an inferior product made with known uncorrected defects suggesting generally that products from this manufacturer should be avoided, 2.) the consumer services division of Samsung not only provides absolutely the poorest service experience I have ever had but appears to purposely avoid addressing what are known product defects.

Background: My large screen plasma TV (Model no: PN59D7000FFXZA) worked fine except it started cycling automatically on and off every 2-3 minutes. Everything else worked fine but not if you can stand having the TV shut off/on every two minutes. I expected a high end set ($2,500) would last more than four and a half years.

Ok, work with Samsung customer service to get it fixed. First, by e-mail. After needing to provide my product information several times, attempted various fixes. Nothing. Then customer service by phone. Same thing, needing to repeated again several times my product information. Tried all remedies including total factory re-set. Last comment from rep. "let it sit for 24 hours and it should be all right". Not. Next call "just give me a local authorized service, I'll pay for it, just get it fixed".

This whole process took about a month to transpire. During this time I researched on-line and found this is a common problem. There was at one time a class action suit against Samsung on this issue and I have been jerked around for weeks over something that should have been obvious. At this point my suspicion is that customer service was intentionally seeking to deflect from identifying the issue. Next comes the in-home serve call Service Quick (not). The technician, when I said could be the firmware. He said, he thought it could be. Then I said, could be the capacitors - which has been often cited as the root cause of the problem and that Samsung knew was a product defect. He said, he thought it could be. Then I said yes, leading him on - it could be the logic board. Yes, he said, he thought it could be. Obviously, he didn't have a clue. But he said he would order the parts and fix it.

Long story short, parts delivery delayed was a repeated excuse (oh there, was also the emergency preventing the service call). This lasted for over three weeks until I called and asked seriously what is the problem and they sheepishly said, "oh, they no longer make the parts for this set". So, I had a totally frustrated two month experience and now an expensive piece of junk due to a totally dysfunctional customer service and inferior product design/manufacturing. I have purchased a new non-Samsung TV. You would be wise to black list Samsung products and clearly do not expect any professionalism from their customer service division.

I owned a Samsung Plasma TV for several years before it died. The motherboard was replaced after a couple of years but it lasted for about 7 years. I felt fairly confident about the quality of Samsung TVs so I purchased a 60" SMART TV from Sam's Club. After the first month, the TV started turning off intermittently. I thought that my husband may have inadvertently set the sleep timer without realizing it. After checking all of the settings, I discovered that wasn't the problem. The TV turned off in my presence without having touched the remote or the TV. We tolerated the intermittent shut offs for a few more months. I checked online and learned that this problem is not new. After owning the TV for 8 months, the TV would not stay on for 2 seconds after showing the Smart menu. It cut off repeatedly for days.

My husband contacted Customer Support and the runaround began. He was on the phone for a couple of hours trying to get them to send out a repair person. Four days later, the repair technician had not called. My husband called back with the reference number he had been given and they said that it was not connected to his call or problem. They had our phone number, but it was not his name. Therefore, there was NO record of the call or request. He was finally told they were required to do several checks over the phone and that if he didn't we would have to pay for the repair even though we purchased additional warranty to cover the defective product for 4 years.

I called the customer support with the new reference number and explained my frustration with the product. I assured the representative that I had checked all of the settings, the bios had been updated, and the problem was persistent. Furthermore, how was I going to be able to go through the tests when the TV would stay on? She said that a repair technician would contact me within two days. The very next day, I received a message from a customer service representative with a different reference number stating that I need to complete tests over the phone, one of which was to turn the TV on without the remote. At this point, we had not been able to watch our TV for 5 days.

When I got home, I turned the TV on by pressing the button on the TV and it turned on and stayed on! I called customer service and went through the tests as requested. The checks were ridiculous: 1) Is it plugged into a 120V outlet? - Yes, 2) Do you have other items connected to the power strip? - Yes. If so, unplug them all. 3) Try a different outlet. - Why? It works. 4) Take the batteries out of the remote and replace them. - Really? 5) Turn the TV on from the power button on the TV. 6) Push this series of buttons on the remote to reset the TV. 7) If the reset doesn't work, the next time you call, you won't have to go through the checks, we'll send a repair person out.

The number of hoops customer service expected me to jump through is outrageous, inconsiderate, and disrespectful of my time and intellect. The TV is working today but tomorrow may be a different scenario. I'm returning the TV to Sam's Club today. Sounds like a defective product to me. Based upon what I've read about other SMART TVs they each have their own set of problems. I'm not sure what I'm going to purchase this time around, but it won't be a Samsung product. Maybe SMART TVs are not ready for Prime Time!

Picture has gone bad, Samsung does not care, and for $1700 I expect more than 2 years. I spent ALL day and a half trying to get support, and like everyone else is saying, it is NON existent with Samsung on the TV. There is a government site where you can post complaints about manufacturer defects (sorry, google it) which is what this is. Samsung is manufacturing cheap LED tvs, they go bad fast, they don't care and they will not support. They even told me they didn't have any authorized repair services in the area. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product, ever again, and you shouldn't either. Buyer, be extremely aware and do not purchase any Samsung product. They will not support you.

As soon as my TV was out of warranty, I noticed that the TV would just turn off by itself and turned on again after few seconds, and stayed on probably until I turned the TV off myself. This problem gradually worsens as time went on until recently that I can't even what anything on TV for 2 seconds before it turned itself off and on.

If I have the option to verbally rate this Samsung junks they called Smart TV, I would rate even rate below a "0". I have researched over the internet and realized that Samsung intentionally put cheap and low power capacitors on their TV just to last for about a year when there will be no warranty to repair it for you. I strongly recommend abstaining from Samsung products, especially their Smart TV, even if it is given to you as a gift. Make sure you get rid of the junk immediately. 2007 purchased a Samsung LN-T4664F LCD tv for $2300.00. Had to return it within 2 months because of it not working. Right after going out of warranty, I started to have trouble with it turning on. After researching this problem I found that many many people were having the same problem and Samsung would not repair the TV. After a class action lawsuit, Samsung agreed to repair the TV one time and the repair were undersized capacitors. Fast forwarding to 2015 I again started to have the same problem and found that so many people were having the same problem that YouTube had videos of how to repair the unit by replacing the same capacitors and eBay even sold capacitor kits.

I purchased the capacitors and when I opened the tv I found that all of the capacitors that were replaced were all undersized and the tv repairman that Samsung sent over the first time was one who was certified! So I had to replace the capacitors again with undersized capacitors because Samsung did not have a schematic for this tv and had no choice. Now 2016 my TV does not turn on again. So even though Samsung gets stunning reviews for their new Smart TV's, Buyer beware. They will not last and they are not worth the price for the amount of time they will work before breaking!!!

After calling Technical support and having 'G' run me through some very elementary diagnostics, she suggest I call a repair company. I google searched this issue and found that hundreds of thousands of consumers such as myself have encountered the exact same issue. In fact, there was a class action lawsuit filed and settled in 2014.

After stating this, they sent me to their relations department to see if a repair company could be sent out and comped by Samsung. The relations gentleman, "E" stated that Samsung could do nothing. I asked for a supervisor and was told that all supervisors were running callbacks and he didn't know what my hold time would be. An hour and a half into this conversation and I let him know I'd wait for someone because I wasn't hanging up without a resolution, even if that was a definite no which would just end up with some serious complaints from me with Consumer Affairs and the BBB. No resolution, thousands spent on a TV that worked for just over 3 years, and hours with incompetent and helpless representatives - we will NEVER do business with Samsung again. Samsung 50" Plasma TV Model - HPS5053X/XXA. Serial # B1943BNL10994T. I recently called Samsung regarding my problem with my TV not working & the issue with the power switch cycling. I was told it would cost upwards of $800.00. I mentioned the recall they had in the past, asked if my model was included & if so why hadn't I been informed. The representative denied that there was ever a class action lawsuit. I said "Google it, it's right there! There's no denying it!" And yet she continued to do so & denied that there was ever a problem with their product. I got no help from them but told I could keep my service call & pay lots of $$ or seek help elsewhere.

Anyway, I purchased from Best Buy on 2/2007 but it was actually manufactured in 2006. I paid for the extended warranty & of course problem started about a month after the warranty expired but still continued to work, although it was annoying. Each time you turned it off the longer it took to come back on. At first it was a few minutes, then hours, days until finally nothing... just the cycling of the clicking. The issue is unfortunately seems to be the exact same issue as all the TV's from the prior recall & lawsuit. Along with some of the other products that were manufactured at that time. It's the continuous cycling of the on/off switch. It just keeps clicking & isn't able to turn on anymore.

I went through all the troubleshooting. For instance, unplugging from wall, bought new power surge cord & everything else Samsung tells you to do. When in all actually it's a faulty design they've known about since 2008. They probably knew of it beforehand but that's when the Class Action Lawsuit was formed. The suit included many models from LCD, Plasmas, & DLP TV's. They paid out on the lawsuit on in 2012. Of course, my model wasn't included. I'm disgusted that they know of the problem those years & continue to deny it or resolve it. I spent 3k on that tv at the time. If you want to keep your customers be honest, use good parts in products & stand by it, even if the warranties expired. If it's faulty, it's your negligence.

I will not be a return customer. I have bought many Samsung products over the years but this experience has put a bad taste in my mouth. I will continue to inform anyone I can about purchasing any products from this company. If you have the same model as mine or have a TV with the same problem & are not on the class action recall list, I think we should start one. Not sure if it's too late. But since this was a known problem, I feel they should have warned everyone who bought models that could have had issues. So we could have them checked out before the parts were so hard to get & expensive to fix.

On a side note - I noticed a lot of complaints from people about purchases from Walmart. Please remember that when you purchase anything from Walmart & those types of discount stores is that they all make deals with the large manufacturers to make a bargain basement versions of they're products. They're using cheap materials/parts depending on what your buying. If you see a 50" Samsung at Walmart for 600.00 when they normally sell for 1200-1400.00 you should know better. Do your research before you buy. Remember, you get what you pay for & Buyer beware!

I strongly believe that they know in advance that TV is broken, but still they delivered it, which seems to be truly unprofessional. Reason being, it is delivered to destination on 07/18, but they dispatched on 07/27 to home after multiple follow up's and they smartly kept TV in reverse position, so that we can not view it immediately.

Bad part is their support team and return policy. They show no sign of understanding my issue rather just want to go by their defined protocol. They are adamant that I only need to own the responsibility of ensuring that it is returned to them. Since they delivered with box broken, even FedEx is not accepting the return. It is like they keep some trash in my home and now I need to take care of disposing off. My Suggestion, to not purchase TV at Samsung.com, but look of some other avenues, where they treat you as a customer and have transparency in the whole transaction. I am writing this review because I have been reading MANY reviews (from 2007 to 2016) on ConsumerAffairs about LCD flatscreen TVs with the brands (Insignia, LG, Panasonic, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, Toshiba, Vizio) and customer service being scorned... and these are just the ones I looked up. It appears to me that EVERY LCD TV brand is having the same problems, and size or cost doesn't seem to matter. The TVs reviewed don't seem to be lasting any longer than 2 to 2.5 years. NOW, MY Samsung 32" LCD TV just got green and red laser lines and finally the dreaded white screen with sound. BUT, I have had my TV for SEVEN years. That is much longer than the negative reviews I am reading. I am wondering how many positives there are, and longer lasting TVs, and if anyone has had their TV longer than 10 years.

I am going to buy a TCON on EBAY for $45 to see if this fixes my Samsung 32. I am seriously concerned if I am throwing my money away, but after all the reviews I have read, it may be better than buying another TV for $200 only to have it go bad in 6 months to 2 years. So, it seems worth the gamble to me. I am not happy my Samsung 32 only lasted 7 years, but it is a whole lot longer than the reviews I have been reading. I thought that newer TVs would be different (better), but they don't seem to be. SO, I don't think it matters which Brand you buy, or how much you pay, or what size you buy... Every brand is having the same described problems, and they don't seem to have figured it out.

This isn't a review as much as it is a complaint. I got my 60" 4k UHD TV Saturday. I took my old flat screen down and removed the bracket from the back. I took one of the screws that attached the bracket and tested it by putting it in the hole on the back of the Samsung. It was too small. It slid right in. No problem... Went to Home Depot and got the screws I needed. I got home and started to install the existing bracket to the new tv. The screw I placed in one of the holes would not come out. It was just small enough that it slid into the hole but unless it was taken out EXACTLY on center the threads caught.

Turning the tv upside down didn't cause it to fall out. After 2 1/2 hours of aggravation I finally super glued a Phillips screw driver to it and let it set up for an hour and then it came out with some effort. Do you know what would have avoided this whole thing? IF SAMSUNG HAD PROVIDED 10 CENTS WORTH OF SCREWS WITH THE UNIT. But no... they are too cheap. JERKS. The TV works great... so far.

SAMSUNG CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON-EXISTENT. Samsung is very inconsistent in handling complaints. It is a big mistake to buy Samsung.

Simply do this, search these phrases "Samsung complaints", "Samsung tv complaints", "Samsung class action lawsuits", and "Samsung customer service" on CNET forums, Google, and Facebook. Better yet, look at the thousands of complaints on their own Facebook pages - Samsung USA, Samsung TV USA, Samsung appliances USA, etc. I will be shocked if you don't come to the same conclusion. They will only stand by their products when forced into it by class action lawsuits.

Waited again for 3 days, called back. Told they were not sending anyone, not repairing TV cause it's out of warranty. Any lawyers want my heavy paperweight of a TV? Obviously they LOST a LOYAL CUSTOMER. I told all my friends to buy Samsung in addition to the several products I own. Looking at Sony for my new TV. Will never buy another Samsung product again! Never!

My TV started turning itself on and off a few months ago. I called Samsung and they said that was the first they heard of any TVs doing that. (I found out about the lawsuit afterward!) So I kept using my TV when two days ago, it made a crack sound and flames came out the back. I am working with Samsung right now about replacing the unit, but so far they say it wasn't under warranty so I am out of luck! I reminded them that the unit CAUGHT FIRE and unless that is what they want their TVs to do, they better replace my unit! I will find out on Monday! I won't take no for an answer!

I purchased a new 4K HDTV Samsung 40" television online and had delivered to my home. We began setting up the television immediately. The set up was in pictures rather than words but nonetheless, easy enough. There was no picture when we turned the television on. The screen showed purple and yellow lines in no order. After hours on assuming directions from Tech Support, Customer Service intervened. Customer Service offered a "repair" service to be scheduled in two weeks. If the television was deemed not repairable, paperwork would be submitted for a new television which would take another two weeks. Why would a new television need repair rather than replacement? I asked if the repair person could take a new, identical television on the truck when coming to repair but that idea was taboo. I found Samsung Customer Service unacceptable. I returned the television to Walmart with no problem.

We bought a huge Samsung TV in 2013 with all the bells and whistles. This year the picture stopped coming on when we turned on the TV. If we had the tv on for a while we could turn it off and on and eventually the picture would come on, but eventually the picture wouldn't come on at all. We hired a repair person to come (after trying unsuccessfully to get help from Samsung Customer Service) and they said we need a new main board. There are so many details to this story, but the bottom line is I spent hours on the phone with customer service and they were useless. I got the impression that many others have this problem, which I attribute to Samsung using cheap main boards. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product. They keep you on hold forever, they are selling a sub par product and there's no recourse after spending thousands on a tv only 3 years ago. Action should be taken against them.

I bought a samsung tv less than 4 years ago. We are not big TV watchers so it is not from overuse. We can not get a picture on the screen, it is dead. Samsung is telling us it is our fault, to cover up their shabby products. I will never buy anything from Samsung again, and will spread the word of the their crabby products.

    Disgusted by faulty products.

I bought this samsung 60 inch uhd tv. 11 months later I have horizontal lines running thru the screen. I keep calling their call center for help. They seem like they are in the philippines. They just read from some script when I tell them my problems. I spent over 2 grand on this tv. It's gonna cost a lot to fix it according to a tv repair company I called. Just really disappointed in samsung for not backing their product and really not caring at all for their customers. I have a 65in uhd tv which works fine but I will never buy anything from them again.

My Samsung Hospitality LED TV Model#HG40NB690QFXZA was purchased online on 1/7/2015. Samsung Hospitality LED TV's come with a 24 month warranty. On June 13, 2016 the video on the LED TV failed. I contacted Samsung B2B Support on June 14, 2016. Kenan ** from Samsung B2B Technical Support, 1-866-726-4249 ** handled my claim and did generate a "Samsung Service Transaction Number: **". I was then contacted by USSI.ORG to schedule the warranty repair. USSI determined the TV was out of warranty. I provided original invoice detailing 1/7/2015 purchase date. After not hearing from USSI for five days I contacted Kenan ** from SamsungB2B again. Today Kenan ** is refusing coverage because the unit was purchased online (Ebay). This policy was never published or disclosed!

The reason I am reviewing this company is because of the horrible customer service I received. I have a Television that stopped working this past week. The model is LN46A530P1FXZA which was under a recall until 2013... Or 2015? I don't even know because I spoke to different people that work at Samsung, who stated different years. Because they said that the tv recall was past these dates, I now had to pay out of pocket for the repair. I asked "so, if it would of have been broken 3 years ago you would have paid for it?" Their answer was "yes". So Samsung is now telling me that they are not responsible for the "damaged parts" that they put on their tv, which in my view, is deceiving of their "wonderful quality", therefore, stealing the customer's money so that in a few years, we have to buy a brand new tv or pay $180+ for Samsung's bad job at making these televisions. Please be aware of this fraud. I would not want anyone else to fall into this scam.

I like the resolution of Samsung flat screen TVs, especially their smart TVs - I see crisp images, and it seems like the things I see in TV are as CLEAR (or least we should say ALMOST CLEAR) as they are seen in my naked eye. This has been evident in the fact that Full HD Samsung flat screen TVs can have a 1080p display resolution, which is highly impressive. However, the only knock on Samsung TVs (especially in the context of Filipino consumers) is the price, because a full HD Samsung TV (that can go up to 1080p display resolution) with at least 50 inches in size costs from Php. 69,900 (US$ 1,505.18) to Php. 460,500.00 (US$ 9,916.13). Nevertheless, for those who are willing to spend at least 2,000 US Dollars for a high-resolution TVs, I would still recommend Samsung TVs. I think they are worth the cost.

Bought a 2011 Smart TV 55 inch from Samsung and cannot go into any website using the browser. What a ripoff. This tv blackout when trying to use this feature. Now I'm stuck with the tv since 2011 till 2016. Thinking to put on craigslist but not worth it. I spend almost $1000.00 for it. Very unsatisfactory. I just want to drop kick this tv.

Purchased a Samsung TV Model #LN46A63DM1FX2A Version #SQ01 some years ago. In March of 2016 this TV started cycling on and off with no relief. Contacted Samsung by requested e-mail with no response. Telephoned Samsung on 06.15.2016 - 1:29PM CST - informed by CS rep Carlos that 2012 settlement was only relief granted by Samsung to US consumers on this acknowledged and well-known issue with this particular model of TV. Carlos acknowledged that they had a record of my television and confirmed the model number and ownership of same. We never received any paper or electronic notice of any federal, state or the 2012 settlement and in 2012 this TV was working fine.

We currently own many Samsung products such as monitors, TVs, Appliances, Stereo components and Cell Phones. We will not be purchasing any more Samsung products at this point in time or in the future. We own older Vizio and Olevia TVs that are still operating well so we will be moving forward with the purchase of another model of TV other than the Samsung brand. When long-term existing and well-known problems exist with a product the manufacturer of said product should repair or replace that product. See you later Samsung. Oh and dumping my stock as well since it is a Korea-based company operating in the US and since it is up this year I will take my profits and say adios and invest the profits elsewhere.
