I had a 65" curve TV for 6 months. On one day it quit working I took it to Best Buy. First they inspect the TV and they find a very tiny line. The screen was crack. Well they exchanged for me. Two months later is happen the same thing but this time they saying that it is a physical damage and they can't do anything for me not even the extended guaranty. So be careful. I will never buy anything from Samsung not even from Best Buy. If anyone know a way to sue let me know. Has to be a way to do something. It is a lot of bad reviews online for Samsung. Thanks.

My Samsung delivers all the requirements of a TV that I want. On receiving my Samsung HDTV as a fabulous gift, it took a little while to figure out what's what. But the on-TV, online instructions and customer support assistance was great! There are so many aspects to this TV, that even after almost a year, I'm discovering new functions and capabilities it has - It's a computer as well! The basics all deliver, i.e., sleek looks, color, picture, sound, etc. And having been introduced to DVR has me watching far more TV than I should be doing! I highly recommend the Samsung brand.

The Samsung Smart TV we own exceeds our expectations. Samsung has been a welcome addition to our home theater. The quality of the picture is second to none and the sound quality is exceptional with the highs and lower tones. The Smart Apps allows for us to connect all of our components with a central hub, something that a few years ago was only a dream.

I bought new in box led tv at Best Buy. 20 days old it is now suggested by Samsung that my tv is ready for the landfill. Not covered under warranty because based on pictures I sent to them, damage was a result of impact to screen. I've been here the whole time and am not aware of said impact.

I will preface this review by saying that the TV (58" LED Smart TV) I am reviewing is TWO years old and therefore off warranty. That said, Samsung LED TVs are being advertised to last up to 20 years. I would have been satisfied if the TV had last 5+ years. After two years, a 5" white bar appeared across the entire TV (top to bottom). I called the "customer service" line and was instructed to take it to their authorized service centre. The service centre conducted their analysis and determined it would cost as much as buying a new TV (about $900). The service centre was amazed that something like this could happen within two years of having the TV and suggested I contact Samsung.
Samsung ignored my email request, the online chat referred me to call the customer service line as they have people with more authority to cover the cost of repair. Despite REPEATED attempts to speak to a supervisor (or someone with more authority), the call centre staff would not escalate my call and eventually told me that he had "the authority to refer me to the authorized service centre in your area" - the same service centre that directed me to contact Samsung again. The problem with the TV is poor enough... TERRIBLE quality control, but to have the experience end with extremely poor customer service centre has left me NEVER buying another Samsung product again!

They have a place where you can authorize customer support Tech to take control of remote and help you with whatever it is that you're having problems with. Thank you.

We initially purchased the Samsung Smart TV to replace having to use Apple TV, which was a bit cumbersome and find the Samsung Smart very user-friendly. We have had a couple of these TVs, a 32-inch and a 40-inch for several years now without problems. The 40-inch went thru a short period of being difficult to turn on, for whatever reason but has outgrown this problem and is fine again. We use the Smart to access Netflix, Youtube and TED without problems. I would highly recommend this line of TVs and have in fact done so successfully with friends.

My Samsung TV is an older model. I bought it second hand so it was a huge bargain in more ways than one. It's an HDTV and the appearance is appealing with a silver backing and side rims along with a shiny black frame. Even though it has a smaller screen compared to what is out there today, it is still grand. It has served me well for about 17 years now. It still has a great picture and many settings and features as well. Great buy for the price, performance, and longevity. It's on most of the day and night, so it is used very often. The performance is still going very strong after many years of service. I give the Samsung brand many, many thumbs up!

The TV screen is too small and a 24" TV should not cost $200. It should be around $75 to $100. It should have 3D built in and have all the ports to hook a computer to it, a video game and anything else you want to hook to it. TV's cost so little to build that there is no reason why TVs should not be very cheap to buy. Most are built overseas where the workers make peanuts for a salary and the TV's companies are making a killing from the sales of the overpriced tvs.

My TV developed an issue after the initial warranty but my extended Samsung warranty covered the repairs. Sadly that repair required some discussion with Samsung's repair facility to get them to come to my home. They tried to say that I lived too far from their repair shop. My warranty said otherwise. Definitely buy an extended warranty with any electronic equipment and make sure the warranty is from the manufacturer as aftermarket warranties often reject your needs. In May 2016 I ordered a Samsung Smart TV LED J5200 Series DIRECT from Samsung.com website. Received an email with confirmation and an order #. The shipping confirmation included the carrier name, (Not FedEx or UPS. Some off the wall service that I'd never heard of, AGS.) address it was to be shipped to, the serial # of the product, but no tracking number. That should have given me a clue that everything would go downhill from there. No delivery came. Called Samsung, got the name and phone # of carrier. I had to call them to find out why it had not been delivered. I was told they only come to my area once a week and they came but couldn't get in subdivision to deliver. Evidently the person who created the shipping label did not include the special instructions I had provided. That was a clue that I was in for more headaches.
Another week went by and finally an unmarked white van with 2 guys show up with the TV. I have no idea if it had been riding around in their van the whole time or it had been taken off the first delivery truck and safely stored until the next delivery date. We were remodeling the room it was to go in so the set sat in the unopened box in another room. The box didn't look damaged so we didn't see the need to open immediately. When we were ready, we put the TV in the entertainment center, hooked it up according to directions... Got nothing. No picture, no sound. Thought we might have hooked it up incorrectly. Nope... That wasn't it. Thought it might have been a problem with our internet provider as this was the first Wi-Fi Smart TV we've purchased.
Cable guy came out and got the same thing... No video, no audio, just a blank screen. Cable guy tried several electrical outlets... Nothing. He hooked up another set to same outlet we'd used with our prior TV and the one we planned to use with the new set. Worked perfectly. The brand new TV was obviously defective. So we thought... No problem, it's brand new under warranty, we'll take to a Samsung authorized repair shop. When my husband took it in he was told we needed a "ticket #" from Samsung authorizing them to repair it.
Came home, called Samsung and that's when we found out their Customer Service Dept has absolutely no idea what they're doing!! We were given ticket # after ticket # because they insisted the set had to be serviced in our home. Well that's nice and convenient except we live in a rural area that has no other Samsung approved repair shop other than the one my husband had taken it to.
Every time we called we got the same answer... "Repairman needs to come to your home". OK that's not going to happen so asked for a refund of the purchase price. Customer Service required a copy of our receipt. Samsung did not provide a regular receipt as if we'd gone into a Best Buy or other retail store. They only sent information via email... From Samsung.com with the order #, model number, serial number and shipping information. So I forwarded the original email I had received from Samsung with all the information necessary to show we had purchase the TV. I had paid for the TV with my PayPal Credit account (6 months no interest option) instead of a credit card or debit card. I could have also sent a copy of my PayPal statement. Nope. They INSISTED that I send the purchase "receipt".
We went round and round and round over this for months. I asked repeatedly what type of "receipt" did Samsung furnish when someone ordered a product directly from their site Samsung.com... No one knew. Every person we spoke with had the same answer. And every time we called we had to explain the whole situation over and over. Supposedly their calls are recorded for training purposes. But they're not trained to make notes in an order when a customer calls with a problem. This went on for 3 MONTHS!!! The warranty was about to expire. Got a solicitation from Samsung suggesting we purchase an extended warranty. We even asked if they could send that info with the model and serial # on it then surely that's more proof of purchase. Nope. They all insisted on a "receipt".
We were connected to their "escalation" dept for a resolution since the regular clowns in the Customer Service Circus didn't have a clue how to proceed. We got the same exact response... Got to have a "receipt". So all over again I sent the same email that had gone to half dozen CSR. The one from Samsung.com with the order #, model and serial number. Was told we'd receive a call within 2 days. Didn't happen. Here I must add that every time we called we had to go through an automated system, were out on hold for long periods of time all to get the same clueless response.
So, called Samsung back for the umpteenth time. Got someone in the "escalation" dept named Nelson. Had to tell the whole story again... For the umpteenth time. In exasperation I said that all we originally wanted to do is have the thing repaired. But y'all won't let us take it to a repair shop. There is NO ONE that is going to come out here and look at it. Everyone wants a "receipt" to show we purchased a TV. Samsung needs to create a receipt other than an email so we can get a ticket # and Samsung needs to authorize us to take it to a shop for repair or refund the money. FINALLY this Nelson guy gives me a "ticket" number to take to the Samsung authorized repair shop.
How much you want to bet that when we take it in there will be some excuse that whatever is wrong with it won't be covered under warranty and we'll have to go through this nightmare all over again. I suspect the TV bounced around in the van of the carrier that took 2 weeks to deliver it to us. If you DO purchase a Samsung product (I never will again) make sure you DO NOT PURCHASE IT DIRECTLY FROM SAMSUNG... Or you'll be sorry!!!

So I called a TV repairman and he did his best to fix, but said a faulty part was to blame and the part from Samsung was 600.00 more than the TV was worth. Well, he corrected the double image but there is a visible line down the middle of the screen. Being a senior, and only have #SS I have no money to buy another TV. I purchased a Samsung 60" Smart Television approximately two years ago. Within seven months of my purchase the television begins continuous rebooting, I called Samsung and their support system was unhelpful. I turned the television off for two hours, and this seemed to correct the problem. However, this has been an ongoing problem for two years now. I did not purchase an extended warranty. I performed research and found that others also had this happen.
I will never purchase another product from Samsung. I am sharing my experience here because others need to know what to expect. Hopefully, this review will help save someone money. Years ago I had a Sony Trinitron TV, it was old and outdated but it never let me down. Samsung should hang their heads in shame. Wouldn't it be more prudent to make a great product and have loyal customers that buy your wares? The only thing I can say for sure at this point is that I will steer clear of all Samsung products, phones included. I will not give another dime to a company that took me for over $800.00, even if the item is on sale.

Been a huge Samsung fan, I had purchased number of items in the past with satisfactory results. I had issues with my Samsung S6 (won't charge at all), which was fixed by Samsung under warranty. However it does not work the same, restarts/heats up but I just live with it. In Dec. 2016 I purchased 3 4K TVs (one 55-inch and two 65-inch: UNKS8000 model). Been a joint family we required 2 TVs. We opened one 55 and one 65-inch TVs right away and are still enjoying it. We had not set up our second TV viewing area and hence had not opened the box for the 3rd TV. Last week I opened the box and put the TV on a stand (no mounting involved). It looked beautiful.
As I switched on the TV (yes directly out of the original packing and into the stand) to my horror I found it cracked from inside. The picture was blacked out in the area around the crack. I immediately called the ecommerce team to report the issue. I was initially promised a return and refund (cause this TV was discontinued wonder why?). After couple of days of no feedback, I called them up only to be told that the return was denied due to >30 day rule. I asked them what they would have done had my payment bounced after 30 days? Will they just forget about that?
They transferred me to the Warranty Department and said they will definitively take care of it. Warranty Department was a bigger joke, just by looking at one pic from one angle they concluded it was a physical damage? How can damage happen in original Samsung packaging with no visible damage to exterior. How can a TV screen break in the inside with virtually no signs of damage/trauma on the outside? Are their TV so fragile? Or made of cheap material/faulty design. They charge premium prices and provide such poor quality material. During this time Samsung customer service was one of the worst I experienced and I would definitely not buy or recommend any Samsung products to anyone. Any Company that does not stand behind its products and blames the customers under the vile of physical damage should not be tolerated.
Please mark my words. Do not spend 4 figure $ on their good looking but fragile TVs. Not just this aspect of it, I am facing issues with the so-called Smart aspect of it. Frequently Netflix app does not work, it gives an error stating to contact Samsung Care with some weird error. Their internet connectivity sucks. The internet is full of such reviews, wish I had opened my eyes before buying. Never again will I buy anything from Samsung. I am willing to take fight to the next level, I am willing to provide my TV to any group that is willing to prove that Samsung's theory of physical damage is so wrong. They have not only turned back a loyal customer, but also harmed their reputation a long way.

We purchased a 55 inch Samsung Ultra HD TV and were incredibly disappointed. Not only was the quality inconsistent when viewing new programming but you pretty much can't watch DVDs or Blu-rays made prior to 2016. I have a bunch of DVDs manufactured between 2007-2015 and they all tend to look pixelated on this television. It was explained to me that there is a processing issue for Ultra HD televisions with earlier DVDs. But many Ultra HDs are equipped with options to make viewing these movies possible. This one does not have options that work. All of my movies, including things that came out in 2014, look pixelated when images move or when they are at any kind of distance. This completely ruins the viewing experience.
Even the show, The Walking Dead, looks awful about 20% of the time (and that is a new program). The customer service was terrible. They take no responsibility. When I told them, if the TV can't reliable play DVDs from 2015, this should be clearly stated on the box or by the salespeople. They pointed to a "terms of service are subject to change at any time" statement. This was infuriating. Do not buy Samsung Ultra HDs if you want to watch movies made before 2015.

The bottom left got very hot and all of a sudden it showed little cracks in the left bottom corner. We did nothing to cause this and they are telling me we did physical damage to the tv.
There were to reviews and my husband also read it could be the thermal expansion and they did not want to hear that. They kept telling me it's physical damage. Clearly their products are no longer being built at the same quality level of the past. I've moved this TV numerous times since I purchased it. I was transferred 4 different times and dealt with multiple automated systems only to be told they don't consider a cracked screen to fall under their warranty by policy. Samsung 78" 4K UHD Smart TV - UN78KU7500 - I purchased a 78 inch Samsung TV on 4/1/2017 from HHGregg. HHGregg stated that all sales were final but Samsung offered a one year warranty. This TV was a floor model. After 3 days, the TV picture stopped working and received a blue line across the screen (picture 1). I called to have a Samsung representative come out. They scheduled for 4/10. During the wait, over the course of a few days, the TV started to get an additional streak and picture still did not work (picture 2).
The technician, who is apparently a contractor and not a Samsung employee from Home Service Network/Total Tech Solutions, (201) 672-9502, stated that there appeared to be a damaged screen due to the streak that occurred several days after the picture was lost. The TV was never dropped, hit, etc. There was no physical damage on the TV. The tech also admitted that there was no external damage and despite pictures indicating no external damage, the warranty was denied by Samsung due to "physical damage." When contacting Samsung, they said they did not have the pictures to review but denied the warranty based on "physical damage" assessment from pictures reviewed by someone else.
I have attached pictures showing no physical damage and the evolution of the additional streaking over the 4 days waiting for service. I have owned the TV for 10 days and they refuse to warranty a physically undamaged TV that cost $3,000. They stated that it would be over $2,000 to repair. I have gone back and forth with Samsung and being cut-off at the supervisor level, not allowing me to escalate. I'm disgusted. Thanks.

I bought a $4000 Samsung UN55B8500 TV. It has been giving trouble for some time, but out of warranty so I managed. I talked with Samsung and they say my case was the first case of this model having that problem. That's total CRAP!! It's all over the internet. Unfortunately myself like many others own a model that was not part of the class action suit against them. Samsung does not even offer parts to fix my TV now! Searching the internet looking for an answer to my problem, it appears there are even much newer Samsung TV's having similar issues. So with the issue being spread across several models of their TV's and spanning across several years leads me to believe what is obvious. The only common factor is Samsung.
I splurged and bought a nice TV, but little did I know it would soon be plagued with issues. Maybe Samsung is pushing too hard for advances with development while not being able to produce a product that holds up to their standards. Or maybe they rely on their name. Samsung is huge when it comes to electronics. What if it was some smaller, less known company that had some of the issues Samsung has, including fires. I would find it hard to believe a smaller company would be able to pull through such troubles. But with Samsung covering such a large share of market purchases, their pockets are deep enough they cannot only survive but likely continue to thrive. Consumers are too focused on latest technology, so Samsung's troubles will soon be a distant memory once people get "googly-eyed" over some new release.
I tried. I tried several times. Samsung has been no help. I was even giving them another chance when I was researching for a replacement TV. But with what I have found, I feel Samsung will not be one of my choices for a new TV. Not only that but I planned to replace my Galaxy S7 phone with the soon to be release S8. Guess I will be searching for something different for a smartphone as well. SAMSUNG, it's more than bells and whistles we are interested in. How about better quality? Irked.

People corporations have crossed the line with their greed and are only selling one way out the door with (O) zero customer service. They are getting away with fraud at every level and there's basically nothing the consumer can do about it. The world has gone corrupt. It is buyer beware out there in the world. Screen size/value is competitive among quality brands. HD picture quality is as good as it gets. I prefer the legs on either side of the frame instead of the center pedestal - nearly all Samsung models have center pedestals. I like the narrow bezel around the screen, but the rear/down facing speakers can affect the sound in a negative way with some TV positioning.
Remote needs to have TV model on it - I have several different models, but not sure which remote goes to each. May not matter until you have to deal with the smart hub (stupid hub) which is worthless and annoying if you prefer not to use it. It does things I don't want it to do, and does not give me control over it - 1) a translucent "Hub Update completed" pops up on screen. I can't make it go away with my DirecTV universal remote, and I don't want 2 remotes handy. 2) Changing channels having different resolutions causes the screen to go blank for several seconds. It is a common problem w/ Samsung owners, and the recommended firmware update does not cure the problem.

This 70ku6290 Samsung tv is not designed for watching anything other than still pictures without any motion. The minute there is motion even the slightest the picture pixellates, blurs, shuffles. It is at its extreme when watching any live sporting events, or in fact when pictures change very quickly. If you like watching live NHL, NBA, etc this will be a definite hindrance. You will not be happy. In fact you will want to turn the set off. To make things worse, Samsung has a special "Sports mode" that is supposed to help with the pixelating, blur etc, looks like they already know about the problem.
But here is the end to all end. If you turn the tv off, you have to reprogram the settings again for the sport mode (it does help a little). It does not retain any of the settings, it took Samsung 3+ weeks to finally realize that and advise me this is problematic with all series 6 tvs. Don't be fooled by the good price. The technician automatically said there's a crack internally INSIDE the screen which was considered physical damage and the warranty will be voided. But told me to wait until they look at the pictures and call me back with their decision. I explained that it could not be possible that it was physical damage. Nothing was ever thrown on this TV, it's been connected to the stand for the past 6 months in my spare room that's not used often.
Samsung called me back and said they cannot fix the damage. It would have to be out of pocket, around $700 for the repair. Now I was extremely frustrated because I called many times to explain to them and spoke to 2 supervisors and told them that I have done research and this has been an ongoing problem with their TV and it is caused by thermal expansion. I got ripped off. And it really bothered me that I have only had this Tv for 6 months, and not only that but they also accused me of physical damage. When I did my research a lot of people had the same Exact problem. It cannot possibly be our problem, that they are selling us faulty items. Hard earned money should not have to be thrown away because Samsung does not stand by their warranty and consider many things physical damage just so they won't have to be responsible in the repair. - A Frustrated Customer that will Never buy a Samsung product again.

Mostly the screen is clear and the smudge marks are usually not noticeable because they get blended in among the moving images, but sometimes they are noticeable and it can be annoying.
I could've returned the TV but I had just returned the first Samsung TV I bought because it stopped working. I would turn it on and there was no picture or sound, just a black screen. So this WAS the exchange TV from that purchase and I didn't feel like exchanging it again so I kept the second one. Besides the smudge marks on the screen, it's got good sound and a good picture. It cost almost $1000 and as I'm writing this, I am annoyed that I didn't get the most bang for my buck even after exchanging it for a different TV.

Although the size of the whole screen is large, it isn't capable of showing the complete picture. It cuts off some things. Adjusting it only makes the picture warped & stretched, but still cuts off edges; if there are words or names, it loses letters.

I own several expensive appliances from washer dryer to fridge but I will never purchase another Samsung product again because this company's poor record for resolving issues for their cheap products. Based on all the poor reviews it's no wonder why all their loyal customers such as myself will never purchase another Samsung product again. If I could give this company zero stars I would.

Samsung Support said a WIFI module had probably failed and would need to be checked by their Authorised Service Centre. The cost involved was completely out of the question. I now use it as a not very Smart TV. The second TV, a UE32F6510 purchased in April 2014 went completely blank after about 2 and a half years. Samsung Support could not correct and said the LED had failed. The Service Centre wanted £318.66 to repair it but suggested it be scrapped and a new TV be purchased. Samsung Support are not now prepared to assist and 2 recent emails to their CEO did not receive the courtesy of a reply. I will certainly never consider purchasing another Samsung TV.

Samsung held a promotion with DirecTV and AT&T that would provide a free Samsung Smart TV once you add services with AT&T, purchase a new S7 Edge phone and start qualifying service with DirecTV. I purchased a new home in April of 2016 and signed up for Internet & DirecTV through AT&T. While on the phone with them, I was asked if I was interested in taking part in the promotion. I was with Sprint at the time and the switch to AT&T increased my monthly bill but I agreed to take part in the promotion for the free television. After a few months, I received an email from Samsung Promotion Support stating that I did not qualify for the television due to them not being able to confirm that I had the proper service in place with AT&T. I contacted AT&T and they let me know that I did in fact have the proper qualifications to receive the free television from Samsung.
When I reached back out to Samsung, they escalated it to their Tier II department in Promotion Support. After about a month, I was contacted again by Tier II (samsunghelpdesk@prizelogic.com), and advised that they had resolved the issue. A month later, I received another email from them stating that I did not qualify. But this time, they stated that I didn't have the proper DirecTV services in place. I asked that they reach out to DirecTV again while I was on the phone with them and they said that they didn't have the capability to do so. I decided to take control of the situation by contacting DirecTV myself and then had the representative agree to go on a conference call with me to speak with the Samsung Promotion Support Tier II team.
Once they were on the call, I explained that I had a representative from DirecTV and he spoke with them. He gave them his Employee ID number and then went on to confirm that I did, in fact, have the proper services with DirecTV to qualify for the free Samsung Smart TV and that there was no issues on the part of DirecTV as Samsung tried to imply. The representative from Samsung Promotion Support Tier II said that he understood the situation and that he would mark the ticket ** stating that the DirecTV representative confirmed the qualifying services were in place and that I went on to say that I should be receiving the television within a few months.
Fast forward to October of 2016, six months after I first purchased the products and was told by the AT&T representative that I had purchased all of the required services and should be receiving my Samsung Smart TV "soon". I get an email from samsunghelpdesk@prizelogic.com: "Thank you for your patience, we can confirm that your submission has been rejected by AT&T. This determination is final and cannot be changed. We do apologize for any inconvenience. If you have further questions please reach out to AT&T."
This was after receiving this in July of 2016: "Thanks for the inquiry. Everything on the Samsung receipt side is good. We are waiting on Directv to approve your account now. Once they send us approval your shipment will be processed. https://promos.samsungpromotions.com/atttvoffer/en-us/Rules. If you have any questions please let us know." Then this in August of 2017: "Thanks for the inquiry. We're showing Directv has rejected you due to Ineligible contract. You will need to contact them about this matter as we here at Samsung do not have access to your account with them."
So, as you can see, this seems to be a scam that is being used by Samsung to have people purchase their products under the false pretense that they would receive a free Samsung Smart Television. After purchasing a Samsung S7 Edge smartphone for $794.99 on April 18th of 2016. They never had any intention of sending me the free Samsung Smart TV. My original submission number for the promotion was **. I would hope that no one else would be deceived or defrauded the way that I was.
I ended up with an expensive new phone that I didn't need the expense of, new phone service that I paid more for on a monthly basis and new satellite cable service that I could have paid less for elsewhere all due to Samsung refusing to agree to their contractual obligations and knowing that most consumers don't have the means to take them to court. If anyone else has gone through the same thing and would like to be part of a class action suit against Samsung, please feel free to reach out to me directly. Thank you.

Purchased new router, added power extender, reset DNS, did factory reset. Have reviewed hundreds of complaints about this condition with their Smart TVs mostly purchased since 2012.
The suggested fixes by Samsung Support are "Band-Aid." The cause is, without a doubt, the Wifi LAN adapter card inside the TV. I have talked with their customer care management and they will do nothing beyond warranty. The part cost on their website is $79... less on Amazon. It is not the cost, it is the principle and fact that they have a faulty part in their TV, hundreds of complaints and frustrated owners. They are a South Korean company that started out as an inferior, entry-level electronics company called GoldStar. There was no such problem on the other 3 TVs in my property connected to Sky via the multi room system. This continued for a few months then the TV would show nothing on the screen at all but the sound was ok. I called out the engineer who fitted the TVs. He diagnosed that there was a problem with the TV main board back light system. I contacted AO on 2 occasions via their customer service email address -no reply so clearly AO do not do customer service just sell on line, buyer beware!
I then telephoned Samsung. They told me to take the TV to a repair shop in Bradford. I called them, they wanted £30 to look at it and said they did not know when they could, this was early December. I found a repair shop locally and took it to them. They diagnosed the fault to be the main board and provided an estimate. I telephoned Samsung. The lady spoke with a supervisor who authorised the repair and provided a reference number for me to give to the repair shop. The repair shop then had to ring Samsung for authorisation. They rung Samsung twice quoting the reference but there was no one available to authorise. I rung Samsung quoting the reference but there was no one with any knowledge. They asked me to send proof of purchase which I did. I heard no more.
I then emailed Samsung advising the situation. I received an email confirmation saying that someone would be in touch within 5 days-no one got in touch. I authorised the repair shop to complete the repair which they did, I paid them, the fault is rectified. I emailed Samsung again and attached the repair invoice asking for a reimbursement. The email was acknowledged and said someone would be in touch within 5 days. No one got in touch. I then telephoned Samsung.
The advisor acknowledged receipt of the emails, the proof of purchase and invoice but said he was not authorised to resolve the issue. This had to come from the email department. He said they would be in touch. Guess what, correct, no one has been in touch. I then went on the Samsung UK website. It said if you had concerns over customer service email directly the CEO. I did twice, guess what, correct, no reply. During this fiasco I received a customer service telecall, automated. 3 questions. I gave 0 on each question. So here's the deal. Bought a 60" Samsung ultra-thin smart TV Dec. of 2013. TV work perfectly... no real issues or problems with it. Suddenly one day of 2015, there was a loud pop and TV went black, never to come on again. Called Samsung because I heard about a lawsuit about such issues and that they had agreed in the lawsuit to fix all broken TVs of course. They POSTED a date that this would stop and my TV of course even though it's the same problem or something similar, they refused to fix it for free.
TV wasn't even two years old. Paid $2500 for it. I was told they would send someone to repair it. YET when they called to set an appointment, I'm told I would have to pay $150 just for the tech to come out. Plus labor and parts. So I'm out 150 just for you to show up that doesn't even count labor and parts. Are you serious? SO I told them no, that the person I talk to at Samsung implied it would be fixed for free. Not to HAPPEN I was told soon as I worked things out with Samsung. Give them a call back of course. Suddenly I have no warranty on it the Sat, and I would have to pay to get it fixed even though there was a lawsuit against them behind such issues with their TVs.
So me being the repairman I am as I'm a contractor that does handy repairs for customers as well as the regular construction and remodeling, I researched and found the capacitors were known to blow. SOUNDS like my pop so I open the TV no longer worried about a warranty as trying to get it fixed. I got the runaround until the warranty was dead so they could say they no longer had an obligation to fix it. Upon opening my no longer warrantied TV, inspection revealed no blown capacitors. Scratching my head I tested half a day. SUDDENLY I found my issue or so I thought -- not a blown capacitor but a blown component. I search trying to find a replacement only to be told that was not to be found by itself, that I would have to replace the whole power board. Searching for one they ranged from $300 plus bucks. Mind you this is a TV I was charged $2500 bucks for.
As a contractor I'm gone most of the day, home late at night. At the time I lived alone meaning the TV might see at the most 4 hrs of use if that a day. Football on the weekend and maybe some gaming depending on mood if my team one good if not bad TV goes off. NOT big on TV shows but will watch a movie with no commercials. BUT N E ways. I finally found a used power board for 100 bucks. So I ordered it. Now I'm 2600 in... not bad I felt at the time. This shouldn't be happening but things happen. No big deal. Company doesn't want to stand behind their product... fine. I'll fix it myself. Only costing me 100 bucks. I win. Lol, not to be.
Part comes. I put it on and nothing. I can hear it now. There's a hum where there wasn't but TV still will not power on. NOW I seen the component I know it had blown so that had to be the problem. SO now I'm back to my multi-meter and testing. WATCHED a video that told me to disconnect things one at a time to see if I got a response. ONCE I disconnected the main board from the power board my backlight suddenly pops on but that's it. I plug it back in. It goes back off. So I call the local repair shop and am told, "You probably need to change the main board out too. It's grounding out somewhere."
Mind you this TV had a short life from the factory it was built in to the store. Still in the box when I bought it. IT was my birthday/Christmas present to myself in Dec. 2013. Here 2016 I'm fighting to get a 2500 TV working because again this company refuses to stand behind their product. I heard several people say some of these companies build their products to fail after a certain period of time so you have to go and buy another in a few years which is why they don't stand behind their products. Some bozo's trying to get his numbers up and if he has to worry with you it counts against him so he blows you off. You get the runaround, etc.
BUT back to my TV. Here it is 2017. Me and my now girlfriend are living together and end up in a fight tonight. We only have the one TV still as my Samsung is still not fixed partly because I haven't had time. So we argue over the TV. I still don't watch much but when I do she complains because she don't like what I like and I don't care for Lifetime, etc. This TV is a Insignia. I had it before the Samsung. I'd say it's about 6-7 years old maybe older. This TV is on round the clock, 24/7 and still going. For the past 2 years at least, it's been like that and not a problem.
I've seen thousands of complaints about Samsung yet they seem not to care. "Some fool will buy one tomorrow," they say, "so who care if you no longer by from us?" Samsung is not the only one doing this. BUT I'm here because of them. I don't know if another main board will fix this problem. What I do know is I shouldn't be having this problem with a TV that wasn't even two years old and I paid 2500 for. BUYER beware. Customer satisfaction is no longer a priority with most companies nowadays!

On Nov 27 I ordered a 50 inch Samsung tv as a Christmas gift. It was to be arrive between Dec 23 and Jan 3. It had not been shipped by Jan 5. I called customer service to find someone who was not great at English. After 45 min on the line with him he said I needed to cancel my order and order again before he would let me speak to sales. When I stated that I wanted to make sure there was something comparable he insisted that I could not speak to sales before cancelling my order. When I eventually spoke with sales, they told me I should not have cancelled my order and there was nothing comparable. For the same price, I could get a Vizio tv vs Samsung.
Sales eventually advised me that there was another sale in two days... and that he would be sending me a specific email with all the information including his information so that I would get an additional credit to purchase the new tv. This did not happen. Even though I confirmed several times that with him on the phone. They still have my money... there was no call or email. There was no sale. I wasted an additional 1.5 hours on the trying to take care of this. I was very surprised that they didn't tell the truth on multiple occasions. Now I hope that they recredit my money so I do not have to go through this again.

Over the course of 15 months we purchased a 65" 4K tv, washer, dryer, refrigerator, microwave, range, dishwasher and a washer and dryer for our small business. At 12.5 months the tv had a pixel burn the screen and leave a white dot. Samsung says, warranty only 12 months. At 2 months the dryer in the small bus ceased working, Samsung says no warranty because it is a commercial establishment. The dishwasher has never dried the dishes, still trying to resolve. Samsung makes junk then refuses to stand behind their products! DO NO BUY SAMSUNG!! Spend your hard earned dollars on brands that will back their products.

The tv actually went bad 9 months after I purchased it and it took me a month of procrastination to call them, this is why. I have dealt with Samsung before and they do everything on the phone that they can to stop you from a repair and every time it takes hours. I spent 3 weeks of back and forth with them between receipt proof, photos, and following step by step the procedure (did that one 3 times with them on the phone). So I had about 5 days left on the warranty before I finally got them to agree. Now they wanted me to pay to ship it across country and supply a shipping container. Well another 3 hours and I got them to pay for shipping. It took me about 3 weeks to acquire a box to properly ship the tv and guess what? Samsung gives you 14 days to ship or they stop the process.
So here I go again, that only took 30 minutes. Ok so the next communication I get from them is they want 150 to repair the tv because it out of warranty. So, 1/2 hour later they agree to it. Now I get this special one time accommodation from them stating that they will do it this time, so next time what??? This is the most ridiculous company on the planet. I am going to go out of my way to not buy anymore Samsung products.

I contacted Samsung and they said they needed 15 to 30 day to do an investigation. 15 days later I got a notice that they issued a refund. First of all, I didn't request a refund. I bought a TV at a discounted price and I wanted the TV. This is a Cyber Monday scam. Second I can't wait for a new shipment because I bought the tv for my dad that lives overseas and I am leaving in two weeks, there is no way for me to send the tv. Numerous web threads state the power supply issue has continued beyond their class action suit. I purchased a power supply unit from EBay which fixed the issue for about 6 months. This even so other Samsung sets in the home were able to show the same channel full screen. Availed myself of their remote help which was unable to provide any resolution to the problem. All they could suggest was it must be my antenna, even though the other Samsung sets are all connected to the same antenna. This is the 2nd time I'm facing same trouble while purchasing a Samsung TV. But surprisingly this time it's from the very own manufacturer's website, samsung.com. So, here it goes. I ordered a 55 inch curved SUHD TV (UN55KS8500) on samsung.com on 20/Dec/16 and I got a mail saying my Order is confirmed and will receive the shipping Info once the TV is shipped. So, I called customer service after 3 days, i.e on 23/Dec/16, since I didn't receive any shipping details on the purchase I made. They promised me that I will receive shipping details on or before 26/Dec/16.
Since, I didn't receive any mail even on 26th Dec, I called the customer service again and I'm now being told that they don't have a TV in their inventory and my order will get delayed, or might even get cancelled. To know the result I have to wait till 5/Jan/16. So, I was really angry about this and asked them what are my other options to cancel my order, so that I can book it somewhere else. They were clear in accepting that mistake was from their end and I would be compensated for this and would also receive the complete refund.
So, I asked them to send me a mail on the same stating that my order has been canceled and that I would be compensated for the same. They were rude about this and were like it's system generated mail and can't forward it to me. How can I believe that my order cancellation request had been raised if I have not received a mail on this. They were adamant and their reply to everything was same, that I have to wait another 2 business day to receive a mail on the cancellation. I would never trust this site and would never book anything from them again. Thanks to Sam's Club earlier for ruining my Thanksgiving and now same to samsung.com for ruining Christmas. Very bad experience for a first timer in US to do online shopping. Trust - 0% on these online websites.

Black Friday 2016 I attempted to buy a 50" Samsung tv. The price was a great deal and advertised 3-5 day shipping. Received a confirmation email that the order was processed and that a shipping confirmation email would be sent out next. 2 weeks later I had not heard anything. Called customer service (about 20 minutes before getting ahold of someone) and they informed me the item was back ordered with no real anticipation of when it would be back. Offered to cancel, but there would be no more sale prices. Another week passes and receive shipping confirmation (12/08/16).
It is now 12/26/16 and there has been no delivery nor communication. Called today and was told I had a bad phone number?! Funny that they confirmed the number I was calling them on was the number they had on record. Amazed that there was no other attempt to arrange delivery; I guess it's normal practice to let an item sit?!
Overall this has been the poorest shopping experience I've ever encountered. First, they should have informed me the product was back ordered at the time the order was placed, not when I follow up after 2 weeks. Secondly, they shouldn't be advertising 3-5 day shipping at all. Thirdly, there should be some communication between them and their chosen shipping carrier so customers aren't just waiting for something that the shipping carrier isn't going to deliver. I held off cancelling the product because of the sale price but at this point I'm seriously considering cancelling. The entire process has been nothing but inefficient and a waste of time. The worst part is they advertised 3-5 days shipping, on Black Friday, and this product was meant to be a Christmas present; I could have gone with any other company, received a great discount AND received the product in time. Now I'm out both. Absolute terrible experience.

I began researching this issue online using 'shadow on bottom half of flat screen TV a' as my search term. I was surprised to see this complaint listed numerous times and almost always specifying Samsung. The consensus seems to be that fixing this back light problem is expensive and because we don't want to throw good money after bad we are just going to replace TV. Samsung UN40H5201AFXZA. I got this supposedly "SMART" Samsung TV and I have decided I will never buy another Samsung TV in my life. I was a SONY TV owner throughout my life for the last 30 years and this Samsung TV will be my first and last. I had 2 problems from day 1: a) After I switch on the TV, I get this message "Preparing TV. Please try again later..." for 2 -3 minutes and I can't start any smart hub apps until then. b) Finally after 3 minutes of waiting I start the Youtube app, and the video gets hung every 3 - 5 minutes and then either I have to restart the video, or it automatically skips to next video if I wait for 5-10 minutes. If I am watching a movie on Netflix, every movie hangs 20 times before I complete the movie.
And I called up Samsung service center to report this issue at the below toll free number, and I spoke to several service representatives, and they did reset of my TV's smart hub, they changed the DNS settings multiple times and they did complete reset of my TV several times (10+times) and nothing fixed the issue. They asked me to check my internet connection, which I did. It was showing 22 MBPS and they asked me to check my router and I had no issues with that router using my laptops, computer or mobile devices at home. And they wasted my several days blaming every other thing, rather than accepting the issue was with the TV.
And finally they want me to go to service center in California which is located 50+ miles away from me, and they said they would charge me $85 for investigating the issue and additional charges for repairs!! So I have basically decide to DONATE this TV and buy a new SONY or LG TV. Called the number given, (A) negotiated the phone tree (or phone maze) to reach an agent who took details Order number, serial number, model number etc. and after five minutes decided that he was merely tech support and said he would transfer me to "E-commerce", put me on hold and there I was back at (A) again. Reached another agent, repeated the whole rigmarole; result I am back at (A) again. Third try as soon as I reached an agent insisted on speaking to a supervisor, long wait on hold, told I was going to be transferred to the mythical "E-Commerce", told that there would be up to half hour on hold, but was cut off after about a minute.
Next try got me three agents in succession whose English was, even worse than the first three, and to make it worse spoke so quietly that what they said was often inaudible. Finally was told that I had to e-mail both serial number AGAIN, and photo of the damage, this was done, no response received. Next day e-mailed the same address telling them that having unpacked the DVD player purchased on the same order # only to find it was dead, plug in does not work, not even the eject button, no response when remote control tried. Next day repeated the e-mail and the next day and the next, no response.
Posted four or five times on Samsung's website finally to be answered telling me that: A) They don't do replacements. B) That I should send them the serial numbers and photographs again. C) I will have to ship the units back to Samsung, not clear if they expect me to pay for that, but if they do they are in for a rude shock. If you actually are foolish enough to purchase a Samsung after reading the multiple horror stories on this site (wish I had found it last week), be sure to buy from someone other than Samsung itself.

We purchased a brand new 65" Samsung curved 4K UHD TV just 3 months ago in September. Ever since we purchased it in September, we have had intermittent issues with the TV not wanting to power off. It would respond to literally every single button on the smart remote, except for the power button. This was an intermittent issue that occurred maybe once or twice a week and it even caused us to have to leave the TV on overnight a few times because it absolutely refused to power off until the following morning.
Yesterday afternoon, we were sitting in our living room watching TV, when the picture suddenly started to fade and then went completely out. We tried to get it to turn back on, but it would not. We then unplugged everything and let it sit for about 20 minutes or so and then plugged just the TV back in to see if we could get it to turn on. It would not come on and we noticed what looked like a spiderweb crack in the lower left hand corner of the screen when the screen would briefly light up as if it were going to come on.
There is absolutely NO physical crack on the screen itself and you only can see it when you try to turn the TV back on and the screen briefly lights up as if it's going to come on. There has been absolutely NO physical damage to this TV whatsoever. It has not even been touched since we set it up 3 months ago. After doing an extensive amount of research, we learned that this is most likely an internal thermal crack caused by a failure of internal parts in our TV set.
I called and spoke with Samsung's so-called "technical support," who was completely useless and said they would send someone out to see if it could be repaired (which we still have not been contacted about). I'm sorry, but that is not acceptable to us. We just paid a significant amount of money for this TV ($1500 to be exact) only 3 MONTHS ago. My husband and I have been very loyal Samsung customers for many, many years. All of our TVs and all but one of our kitchen appliances are made by Samsung and we thought that we could trust our hard-earned money to this brand. We want this TV replaced IMMEDIATELY.
I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau last night and received a phone call this evening from a woman in Samsung's executive office, who gave me the absolute snottiest, defensive attitude ever. The minute I mentioned this crack, she immediately said, "Well, cracks do not just appear out of nowhere, so you or someone else in your home obviously somehow caused physical damage to it." I'm sorry, but is that any way to speak to one of your extremely loyal consumers who has spent literally thousands of dollars on your products over the years??? I explained to her that there had been absolutely NO physical damage to this TV and that it was very likely a thermal crack. I also explained that there are NO physical cracks on the screen at all, that you only see the crack when you try to turn it on and the screen briefly lights up as if it's going to come on. This woman's attitude towards me then became even worse.
I know that Samsung has been dealing with a lot of people like us this past year between their explosive washing machines and flame-thrower Galaxy Note phones, but the way that this woman spoke to me this evening is COMPLETELY inexcusable and I will not stand for it, not for one minute. Believe me, I will make sure that EVERYONE knows about this.
Bottom line: If we do not receive a replacement TV, or at least an agreement to replace it by this coming Friday, December 16th, I will be filing a formal complaint against Samsung with the Attorney General and will be taking our story to the news media. I don't think they want that given their already severely tarnished reputation this year. Samsung, the ball is now in your court to make this right. If you fail to do so, we WILL be taking legal action.

Great info for ALL consumers who have any issues with goods and need the Manufacturer to assist when they are being reluctant. I have bought, and still own, many, MANY SAMSUNG products from TVs to mobiles/tablets, Laptops and home appliances like Fridges and Washing Machines etc over the last 12 years approx. I have always found the Customer Care excellent.
I recently had two TVs develop a very similar fault within 3 weeks of each other and as they were bought at the same time as part of a bulk purchase of goods, to help in my bargaining for the best deal. This meant they were the same age. They were over 12 months and (in theory) outside the stated 1-year warranty, but only by a couple of months and importantly LESS than 24months old. (HINT: Join with Friends and Family to upgrade items together and pay by Credit Card for extra protection and lots of goods gets better discount.)
HOWEVER... Good News. The faults were uncannily similar and was a type of screen pixel failure seen on Plasma Tv products. Not that unusual, but the first time I ever had an issue. The cause still remains unknown. The good thing is that SAMSUNG honoured a "little known EU Directive" which states that "All goods purchased in the EU, regardless of origin, must have a 2-year period of warranty honoured by the manufacturer," in simpler terms. Of course any item that is faulty under 6 months is the responsibility of the Retailer to resolve, ALWAYS, (at no cost to the buyer) and then from 6months + 1 day up until 12 months it is the Manufacturer's responsibility to solve problems again, at no cost to the buyer.
AFTER 1 YEAR UNTIL 12 YEARS IS WHERE THIS EU DIRECTIVE COMES INTO PLAY. Importantly, of course, SAMSUNG honoured it for me. (Once I had sent them a copy to read as they were unaware of it). It may help that I took my Law Degree just 10 years ago... But the EU Directive is not dependent on that. It is VERY CLEAR on the rules.
I had no difficulties with Samsung and I now have two fab Brand New TVs to replace the faulty ones, delivered and fully installed at no cost to me. The EU Directive is VERY easy to read and understand and covers all goods... Though of course large size/Flat Screen and /or Smart/4K TV's are very much worth the time investment to get a resolution compared to say, a kettle, or a Toaster... The EU Directive can be downloaded online from FREE online EU Resources. Just a simple web search will find it with the Reference Number below. The ref no. is: 1999-44-EC. I hope this helps ALL persons on this website, not just Samsung Buyers, but NOT LEAST this experience has shown how helpful SAMSUNG are if they know the rules and they will do all they can to help solve issues for their Customers.

Have owned 2 Samsung phones and 1 Samsung TV. Have only contacted customer support via telephone once. Have contacted them once with online chat. Both experiences were unsatisfactory. Samsung may make good products, but their customer service needs improvement!! Some simple things they can do:
2. Spend more money on office space so that their call center is NOT so noisy. I could hear and sometimes distinguish what the rep next to mine was saying to her customer! By being so cheap on office space and acoustics, Samsung is decreasing customer satisfaction and increasing amount of time on each call (rep has to repeat)!
3. Have instructions THOROUGHLY tell how to install a TV. 5 parts came with mine, which had NO instructions for. 4 of them were included in the parts list but not identified as to purpose. The 5th part wasn't even shown with Samsung's documentation. None of these parts were described in the e-manual or hard copy manual, which came with the tv. The representative told me they were for wall mounts but had no documentation to send. She will try to get some.

I have purchased 8 Samsung TV's of various sizes over the past 3 years, 6 on one order for a new home and gifts. They were all smart versions and range in size from 32" to 60". My first failure was in June 2016 on a 32" smart tv. Without any prior problems or any type of damage, it came on with audio only. When I tried to reconnect/reboot it went totally out and would only "click" when powered up. After much troubleshooting I finally decided that it was a total power supply failure and the set needed to be replaced. As this tv was 3 months short of 3 years old I assumed that I would not get any warrant support from Samsung and just chalked it up to a failed tv and replaced it with another Smart Samsung, same size.
Since June I have had 2 additional Samsung tv's fail in the exact same way in 2 different homes and had another of those to failed to power up last week. After resetting it it did power up but I am paranoid that it too will fail in the near future. I contacted Samsung after the second failure and when they finally replied it was to tell me that they would not provide any assistance for replacement of any of the tv's although one of the sets that failed was only 14 months old. There is obviously a design flaw/substandard quality with their power supplies. Although I have purchased many Samsung products over the past 10 years, I will not ever purchase another Samsung product. I had excellent results with Sony products before switching to Samsung when I saw and liked the picture quality of a relatives TV. I have switched back to Sony.

In Nov 16 2016 I had the same issue with the screen turning gray and I called Samsung service dept to see if I could get it fixed. They said the warranty ran out in July of 2016, but because I was having the same issue they would extend the warranty. They gave me a reference # to give to the service technician so he could get a ticket # to get it fixed. He called the TKT team twice and they told him it was not under a warranty. I have called several times and talked to several different Samsung agents and they all told me that the warranty was extended and to give the serviceman the reference #. I told them he did and they keep denying it... I asked if I could talk to the TKT people and they said no, only the serviceman could.
I keep getting the runaround. Finally a Samsung representative called me and said they could not extend the warranty, after 5 different people said they would extend it. She told me her department did not have the power to extend the warranty that it was up to the TKT team and to call and ask them. I called them and they keep telling me they cannot speak to me, only the service tech. and keep referring me back to Samsung customer service. After calling the TKT team several times they finally told me to as to talk to ECR when I call customer service again, after being put on hold for over half an hour I finally got a hold of an agent who took my information (for the 6th time) and told me a ECR agent would contact me within 5 business days. While I was on the phone with her, a Samsung agent called me on my home phone and asked how I like the service of the agents and how I would rate my service.
I began to tell him (politely) how unsatisfied I was and what they have been doing to me, and he hung up on me. I was not rude in any way, but he hung up on me. I will never buy another Samsung product again, and I will tell all my thousands of friend on Facebook not to buy your product. Your service to your customers is deplorable, and your products are made very poorly. As I said my 32' flat screen Samsung TV’s screen went out twice in less than 2 years, and they are now refusing to accept the responsibility even though it was a manufacturer defect. And your service technicians obviously do not know what they are doing. I have been on the phone four 4 days and being put on hold for several hours cumulative. And have gotten different answers from each person.
I am now going to wait on ECR (whoever that is) to call me within 5 business days, and explain to them as I have already explained to 10 different Samsung reps, my issue with this TV. I am extremely exasperated at this point. Samsung product quality and customer service quality has gone downhill over the years and is getting worse. Never, never again Samsung will I buy any of your products. If you want to keep customers happy and your company in business, I suggest you do some major improvements in all aspects of your company, starting with training your customer service people better and making your products last longer than a year. You are a disgrace.

I have just recently found out that both Samsung Electronics (TV division) and Electronics Express (located in mall in Decatur, Al.) are complete frauds. The store in question sold me a defective TV that when I noticed something wasn't right, contacted tech support (yes, SAMSUNG tech support) who "attempted" to help me finalize the setup of my new beautiful TV.
At that point, his advice led to a small chunk of the TV to fall out. He then told me to take it back to the store the next day, where they pretty much laughed at me and said the foil that I was trying to remove was actually the screen. They gave no help at all and when I contacted Samsung I have a list of 9 service texts who confirmed that I did everything correct as per the user manual and instruction guide. I contacted them every other day for over a month until a "Senior Customer Service Resolution specialist" finally called me and said that since I physically damaged the TV I was stuck with a $1500 piece of junk. I only removed the film in the first place because it was coming off exactly like every piece of film I have ever removed off of a TV.
And the topping on the cake is that I purchased the curved edition of this model, which Electronic Express did not have on display and I was given no advice to look for something that may be defective, as from the research that I have done, many of these same models have the same flaws. I am through rambling now, as I could go for hours on this horrible case of customer service, as I never got to even turn my new TV on. Once again (fairly constant over 2 years of owning this TV), Smart Hub not working and getting repeated "SmartHub is being updated. Try again later". This has gone on for hours this time. Did everything on online forums that was suggested as a fix. There is nothing on Samsung's site to help. This evidently goes on every year around the holidays, yet Samsung does nothing. Tried to call Samsung, but "call volume heavy" and no one answered. Tried to get the offered Customer Service chat online, but got message that no one was able to take call (Monday, 6pm, well within their stated hours).
This TV has been far more trouble than it was worth despite being a gift and I would NEVER recommend it to anyone. This has been my experience trying to deal with Samsung for years about both this TV and a refrigerator that failed almost immediately - and then there was no one in the area who fixed them. Also, although I used my account email and the site verified that the email was in use, I cannot reset my password as never receive the password change link despite several tries. If you want a horrible product that you won't be able to get any help with no matter how much time you put in, this is your TV.

I bought a brand new 70" Class KU6300 4K UHD TV from buydig.com. The TV arrived with damaged with black screen and broken lines. It is either defective TV or damaged in the shipping. I contacted Samsung for fixing or replacing the TV. Samsung sent a authorized local technician to look at the TV and he told me that the TV was defective and promised and scheduled to replace the panel. On the next visit, the same Samsung technician came and said the TV was not defective and refused to fix or replace the TV. The buydig.com attempted to refuse take back the TV and blamed on Samsung for defective TV. Samsung blamed on buydig for damaged in shipping.
This is the HORRIBLE experience ever dealing with Samsung customer service and buydig, I lost too many hours to contact Samsung and buydig for this worst experience. The Big Junk Samsung TV is still sitting in the big box. I can't believe how bad the Samsung customer service and Samsung technician are. Worst experience buying Samsung TV. Bought a TV from Best buy in August for my house under construction. When moving in this past weekend and mounting my TV, discovered when turning on TV there appeared to be a crack in the left bottom corner. Only showed when TV is on. No damage to box or exterior TV. When trying to return to best buy they informed us that we only had 15 days to return TV. Went to Samsung for product warranty and when they came to look said the the warranty didn't cover physical damage. Now what does that mean. I just opened the box and there is no box or exterior TV damage. Obviously it is a problem within the TV. Do not buy a Samsung at Best Buy. Neither back the product they sell.

Therefore, we used the tv for less than six months and currently, we have a horizontal shadow across the middle third of the picture. I understand that the warranty is over but seriously, Samsung should stand behind a product that costs almost 1500 dollars and has not lasted more than six months. We purchased the tv at hhgregg. Their answer to the problem is that we should have purchased the extended warranty. Really??? 1500 dollars and we can't get a tv that works for more than 6 months...

It would come back on after about 15 seconds on its own. Now it stopped coming back on. Now the remote stopped working for mute, changing channels, and volume. There is a trick to getting the remote to work or the TV to come back on instantly. Just push the source button, have it on TV, and hit select. DON'T KNOW WHY THIS WORKS?

I bought a Samsung TV for $1500 on August 20, 2016. A few weeks in, I notice a scratch on the TV. Now, I want to make it very clear that I never touch the TV except to clean it with a microfiber cloth every now and then. So this wasn't a scratch I put on there. But anyways, I call Samsung and their technician comes over and looks at it. He confirms what I've just said. That the scratch wasn't put on there by consumer use. Probably was done during shipping.
Before the technician came over, I was assured that if it can be confirmed that the scratch was not put in by normal use, I would receive aid. It was also said that the tech would have final say in whether I would receive aid. Of course, when it actually came time to help me, both of these just went right out the window. The technician had no power over the final decision and the fact that they were going back on their own word regarding what they said about normal use didn't seem to bother them at all.
You know who does that? Shady businesses that try to milk you for your money and then disappear. Well, I feel so stupid right now that I thought Samsung was above all that. I've been calling them a lot ever since they rejected me and I'll give you guys a general idea of what's being said to me. "Yeah, we sold you a faulty television. Nothing you can do about it so go ** yourself."
I'm sorry for the language, but I'm a college student with not much money around. I expect what I pay for to have value. It pisses me off pretty bad that Samsung treats me like this. It's not like their tech confirmed that it wasn't caused by me, right? It's not like they promised to replace it if he confirmed that I didn't damage the TV, right? It's not like they record phone conversations and there's proof out there for everything I just said, right? Anyways, my ticket number is **. Have another ticket number because Samsung asked me send pics of the TV scratch twice because they were not competent enough to keep track of all the information I sent them that they asked for. I'd be embarrassed if I was in charge here.

I am not a person to write one of these reviews, but I am currently out of options with Samsung Customer service Canada. I bought a curved TV and it had worked perfectly until August 2016. The TV developed some screen issues that began to spread across the TV. Samsung repaired the TV and sent me an extended warranty on the work. The TV was repaired near the end of August and the issue seemed to be gone.
A month later the left side of the TV has now developed a red/pink haze on the TV. I called the Samsung repair company that did the original repair. The TV technician was in my area that day and stopped by the house to take a look at the TV. Immediately the technician stated my panel was faulty and my pixels in the panel were stuck on red/pink. The technician advised me to contact Samsung and a new ticket would be issued for a replacement, as the replacement part was still under extended warranty from the recent repair.
I called Samsung and sent them the required pictures. Samsung customer service stated they would get back to me in 24 hours. A week later I heard nothing. I sent multiple emails to the customer service agent who I was dealing with. They eventually emailed me back saying they received the email with no photo attachments; I then forwarded them the original email, which shown pictures were indeed attached. The customer service agent replied the pictures were on the forwarded email and the case was escalated to high management to be processed. Another week goes by and no phone call was received. During this week of hearing nothing back I sent the customer service agent two emails wondering when I would receive a phone call.
The customer service agent then replies three days later saying the ticket was cancelled due to the TV operating as it is designed to; now keep in mind the Samsung repair technician as already stated the picture was faulty and needed repair. I called Samsung customer service and gave them the ticket number I was issued. The customer service agent stated that the previous agent had attempted to contact me multiple times, but were unable to contact me so the ticket was cancelled.
I told the current customer service rep I was speaking to that I had multiple emails sent to the previous agent asking about my status with no luck of a response until a week later. The new agent then transferred me to another customer service agent who asked for all my information and opened a new ticket. Once they were done taking my information the agent then transferred me to another customer service agent to review my previous information; not sure why I had to be transferred for this, but I was.
Now speaking with the new agent the first thing the agent said to me is that my TV is out of warranty. I mention to the agent that I have paperwork showing my extended warranty and I could email it to them. The agent agrees and I email them the paperwork. The agent then proceeds to give me attitude, places me on mute, not sure why, then states they need to put me on hold to review my previous tickets. I am then placed on hold for approx. 15 minutes and then was hung up on. I sent the agent an email asking if they have a direct number to call back so I can finish the ticket, but no response back.
I apologize for the long review, but this is something I am at a complete loss at. TV was repaired, new panel was faulty, confirmed by Samsung repair technician due to the red haze on the left side, but customer service states this red haze is part of the normal operation of the TV? I am just at a loss, it’s warrantied, deemed faulty, but a person in the office and saying it is operating normal? Samsung has been nothing but a nightmare. I will never buy a TV from this company again.

Buy one on your anniversary for a painful reminder year after year! Purchased UHD55HU9000 in May 2014 for top price during the height of the curved craze. In Sept 2015 the screen went dark. Red light would come on, but no sound or screen. Purchased the extended warranty and repair tech fixed it by swapping the smart tv box. That tacked on several hundred dollars to an already bloated initial cost. Funky after 1 year, but simple enough.
Skip to Sept 2016 and suddenly the screen goes dark again without any notice. Thankfully still barely under extended warranty, but the tv has been sitting on my floor for 3 weeks. The repair tech did not have the smart tv box so it had to be ordered. The tv still did not work after the smart tv box was replaced so they're on to the next possibility. They'll be opening the back of the tv tomorrow and hopefully will get it resolved. Will tell the tv tech "see you next year" when he's done.

Issues: TV failed at 6 months, motherboard replaced under warranty, Sound System failed a few months later, device remote control receiving board kept turning the volume down - fixed under warranty, DVD player on sound system no longer works (I must have played no more than 5 DVDs with this in total) - not fixed no longer in warranty. Apart from a high failure rate (2 out of 2) mine have functionality issues that just don't work. There is a function called Audio Return Channel (ARC) - this functions but loses audio sync on a regular basis, every 30 or so seconds. I have contacted Samsung support and got the usual response. "It's your cable etc - reload new firmware etc."
In googling this fault I find it is an issue across a large range on Samsung TVs. It seems not to be a hardware problem - more of a code issue. Other Samsung models the issue has been fixed with new software but my model they have yet to release a fix for. How does Samsung manage to release a product that has not had all of its functionality tested, and if tested why release products that don't work?

Whatever you do DON'T buy a Samsung TV! We have been ripped of for $3000 by Samsung. We bought a 60" Samsuck Smart TV approx 3 years ago. Model UA60ES8000. We paid $3000 on special from an online appliance store in Australia. We've never owned a big new TV & we had saved our hard earned $ for 2 years. We were initially thrilled with our purchase as Harvey N had the same TV for $5000. I feel sorry for all those who paid full price for this crap TV!
The TV worked great for the first 2 years, the only issue we had was bad sound due to small, tiny speakers at the back of the unit so we ended up having to fork out for a soundbar. More $$$. The issues started approx 5 months ago. 2 year warranty has run out of course. Suddenly, for no apparent reason the TV won't connect to our WiFi network & we can no longer use any of the smart features like apps and streaming services. We can't update the TV either because there is now no internet connection.
Frustrated we went online only to find 100's of other people trying to get help for error & for the same issues. We tried all the suggested online fixes, nothing worked. We emailed Samsung Customer Service & we were told it was our router/modem. It's not, every other device in our house connects just fine but we followed Samsung instructions and reset everything. Nothing worked.
So next we tried calling Samsuck by phone. After being on hold for nearly an hour customer service said we needed to update the TV. We can't, the TV won't connect to internet! They tell us to download the latest update from their website & install it to the TV via a USB stick. Apparently this would definitely fix it. Nope... Nothing changed after we applied the update via USB, in fact things just seemed to get worse! TV still won't connect to network or internet & now it can't even find our WiFi Network at all.
Smart hub apps have been wiped, in fact Smart Hub is now completely useless without internet. All it does is give us a ''cant connect to network'' pop up.Back to customer service who said to connect TV to router via Ethernet cable. We had already explained 3 times we can't connect via Ethernet, the TV is upstairs, the router is downstairs. One of the main reasons we bought the TV because we need WiFi!
We were then told to take it to a shop for repair. It would cost us more $$$. At this point we gave up on Samsung NON customer service. We decided to cut our losses on the so called Smart Hub & everything related to the so called smartness on the TV & we went out and bought a chrome-cast streaming stick but more $$$, at least we can now stream Netflix, Stan & YouTube, in fact the streaming works better with chrome cast that the stupid TV ever did when it actually worked!
But now other problems are appearing. We have to keep pressing the power button several times to turn the TV on and off & half the time changing channels is slow and laggy beyond belief. We tried changing batteries in remote Samsung. It's not the batteries or even the remote, it's the bloody TV!!! Then a couple of weeks ago the TV suddenly started turning itself on, by itself, in the middle of the night while we are all in bed asleep. It also randomly turns itself off when we are watching it. This random turning itself on and off random issue is seriously creepy. Is the TV possessed FFS!
Their customer service is non existent, they couldn't care less about their customers, they treat you like you're an idiot! They expect you to pay big $$$ to fix THEIR faults in THEIR products or they just don't bother to follow up on your calls for help. They have our $3000, now we can just piss off. They don't care if unless you pay!
After reading all of the other horror stories here and online regarding Samsung TV's & other Samsung products, the latest being their phones and washing machines bursting into flames, we can only hope our Samsuck TV doesn't decide to blow up & burn our house down while we sleep! How much longer can Samsung be allowed to rip so many people off with their faulty products? It's outright theft.
How much longer can Samsuck risk peoples lives with products that catch on fire and blow up? Something really needs to be done. We will be voting with our wallets & our feet and never EVER purchase another Samsung product again. I wish everyone else would do the same. Do yourself a favour people... Do NOT buy any product with the Samsung logo on it! You will regret it!

Bought a 60" 4K Smart LED 6 months ago and a single horizontal white line has suddenly appeared. I started the claim process which had been a COMPLETE JOKE. Over the last week and 8-10 phone calls, each employee provided different directions and requested the same exact info continuously: Serial number, picture of receipt, picture of failed picture test, etc... They failed to update my trouble ticket every single time which ultimately resulted in prolonged service calls that went nowhere. After requesting to speak with a manager/supervisor I was informed that they do not have managers/supervisors.
After following Samsung's troubleshooting process 4 times and reviewing pictures of my television, Samsung informed me that the tech agent would be sent out and that if the television doesn't need technical repair or replacement, I will be charged for services provided. Samsung then failed to provide a price quote & the service number provided reaches a voicemail box that is full. I refuse to obligate myself to pay for a service that does not publish prices.
