On 4/16/12, I was watching TV and did not have it on very long. I could smell wires burning and sure enough, it was the TV. I unplugged it, re-plugged it and it in never worked again. After reading all the complaints on the Consumer Affairs website, I see I'm not the only one with this problem and it has not been resolved. Perhaps if these stories were aired on local TV stations, it would get someone's attention.

I bought a new plasma TV 43-inch just 3 months ago. One week ago, I saw a black vertical line on the TV. I called Samsung service center and told about that line. A service man came to my house and checked the TV, he didn't know what the problem is. He called to the company and said I cannot troubleshoot and said we will refund the money or replace the TV in a week, but there is no response. Two weeks ran, now there are 3 black vertical lines in my TV. Everyday I make a call to Samsung, there is no response. What do I do? Help!

Power supply problem with Samsung LCD HDTV - I bought the set about 4 years ago. About a year ago, my TV started clicking and would not turn on. I promptly called Samsung only to be told that it was not under warranty and it was not a known problem! They referred me to my nearest Samsung dealer who charged me $400.00 to fix it. One year later, I have the same problem again! So disappointed, I could cry!

I bought a Samsung 42-inch and 52-inch TV from Badcock. I live alone, and one night the TV made a loud pop and then a buzzing sound. When I went to look at the TV, the panel on the inside had a little crack and then the TV started to buzz again. I unplugged it. I took it back to the store and they said I had dropped it and that was customer abuse on the TVs. Both of the TVs are messed up. I didn't touch them. Badcock refused to send my TVs off and wouldn't take any money for the TVs. I am only 5 feet tall and I don't walk around the house toting a 42-inch or 52-inch TV. I was very disappointed at that remark. I can't afford to keep buying TVs. I need something done about replacing one TV and fixing the other one that has the red screen problem. I will be satisfied if they'll just do this for me.

I am very upset that I have a TV that is only 4 years old and it is not working. I logged it through the 800 number on Monday and have not heard back. I do not have my 50" TV to watch because it was unsafe, defective and smelled like it was going to burn up. You have not made this a priority to replace or fix this issue. I purchased a 4-year warranty that expired in February and I am highly upset. I purchase multiple products from Samsung because I thought it was quality and that Samsung stood behind their product but thus far, no one seems to care that I do not have a functioning 4-year old 50" plasma TV. If this is the type of service you supply, then I have purchased my last Samsung product and will ensure that everyone I know understands the lack of priority you show your dedicated customers. I want my TV repaired or replaced within the next 24 hours and I would appreciate a telephone call to discuss resolution.

Our Samsung LCD unit has always intermittently powered off and then back on, sometimes after 10 minutes and sometimes after a few hours. It's not a chronic problem but a nuisance nonetheless. I first reported this problem to Samsung in 2009 during the TV's warranty period, but I was told this was "normal" behavior.

I was happy to see the class action settlement and optimistic that the capacitor fix would finally resolve this issue. The first technician replaced the capacitors, but this didn't help. Three weeks later, the 2nd tech replaced the power supply board, and now, the TV turns off/on more frequently! I called Samsung today with feedback that their "fix" has made my TV worse. I was told at this point that it's an out-of-warranty issue and that the onus is on me for any further repairs.

However, I have zero confidence that any tech can fix this, since I've clearly stated on every call that the TV turns on/off intermittently and if they really had any clue on how to fix my issue, they shouldn't have agreed to send out two technicians with an approach that ultimately does not help. I feel like Samsung is saying "Try this, but if it doesn't fix your problem (or makes your TV worse), then you're on your own." If I'm the only customer with this issue, so be it; but if not, then who knows maybe another class action settlement will be coming out in the future. However, at this point, my next TV definitely will not be a Samsung.

I am with Samsung and I wanted to let everyone know that the models that are listed were the ones that were researched to show the capacitors placed within them were of a lower voltage than what is needed. When the capacitors start to go out, it can affect the power supply. This is what causes these symptoms: not turning on, delay in turning on (over 30 seconds), making a clicking sound over and over again, or the unit power cycling on and off. If you have a model that is experiencing similar symptoms and is not covered under the settlement, it means it isn't affected by this particular issue. It could be caused by the main board, which is not covered.

Please keep in mind that Samsung has researched this extensively and the main board going out is not considered an "epidemic" issue. Also, while some may have a model code that matches on the list, we also must verify that the manufacture date is before 12/31/2008 as this was the date the capacitors were switched to 40V. Samsung has helped thousands of people and I want to set the record straight. Like with any mass marketing production company, there may come a time when an issue may arise. We purchase some of the components that go within the TV from other manufactures. We are not the only company to do so. Car companies, computer companies, etc., do the same thing. As far as the customers on here complaining of issues with their TVs that does not go under the settlement, if you contact Samsung, ask to speak to ECR. They are the customer relations department and have more flexibility. Technical support is just that: technical support.

I’m writing again to tell my story. After finding out about the lawsuit regarding the capacitor issues, I filled out the proper paperwork and sent it in to Samsung. I had to have this issue repaired twice. On March 2nd I was contacted by Samsung to hear that the paperwork was not accepted and I had until the end of the business day to rectify the problem. Of course that was an impossible request. I'll try to remember the whole episode as briefly as I can.

I contacted Pam ** of CBS several times, also contacted the lawyers who won the suit, filed complaints with the lawsuit complaint site, filed a complaint with Samsung complaint site (3-7-12) and called the BBB with my complaint. Finally, I was contacted by Samsung after 7 or 8 e-mails and many phone calls; I was finally reimbursed my $479.00 on 4-7-12. I figured out I spent no less than 20 hours of my time to get the money they owed me. Am I satisfied? - No! All I can say is, keep trying and it seemed to be the file with the BBB that finally got my response, but I'm not 100 % sure. Good luck to you all. I hope I helped someone out.

We purchased a Samsung 46-inch LCD TV for our new home last year. We have always been pleased with the reputation and quality of Samsung products until last night. While sitting and watching TV, there was a loud electrical pop sound that came from the back of the monitor. Immediately, the screen went black along with the monitor’s power light. The strange thing is the sound of the TV show was still coming from the TV and all other components hooked up were operating. All channels were/are black. I called customer service only to speak with someone in India who was unable to address my problem satisfactorily. When I was checking the model number on the back of the TV, it said: “Made in Tijuana, Mexico.” Another disappointment. There is a class action lawsuit regarding this issue with flaws in the electronic capacitors, but my model is not listed as part of only six LCD models in the particular suit in Ohio. What should I do?

I placed a call to Samsung to ask what could be done with my 52-inch LCD TV that has vertical colored lines. Sometimes, the lines are flickering. Some other times, the lines are solid and cover up the right half of the screen. I told them that I have only had the TV 3 years and 3 months. They apologized for my inconvenience, but they did not offer to assist me with getting my TV serviced and repaired because it was outside of the one-year warranty. How can a unit that costs $1700 only last just over three years? Why hasn't a consumer watchdog forced Samsung to recall or repair these televisions with such an outcry from customers? There are far too many complaints surrounding Samsung televisions and all of us are being simply told sorry.

I called Samsung and they said they were not aware of an issue with the TV clicking on and off. They refused to fix the issue and said they had not heard of this issue. Then one month later, surprised millions complaining of the same issue and a class action lawsuit filed. They fixed the capacitor issue. Before the capacitor issue, I had vertical lines appear only after 15 months of owning the TV. Again, Samsung says they are not having mass issues with this model or problem. A quick internet search says a different story. Thousands of people complaining of the same issues. I have spoke to Samsung 20 times and they refused to take responsibility for the issues. I called customer service on 12/3/12 and direct self-adjustment, but failed. I filed a formal report to customer service on 15/3/12. The technician called me on 16/3/12, requested for precise series number from the TV. It was given on 18/3/12, however, I was told to call customer service to check on parts availability. I called customer service week after week to check on the status of parts, but was told still pending parts. I was told later that the parts shall arrive on 2/4/12 or 3/4/12 latest. However, when I called on 2/4/12, I was told still pending.

On 3/4/12, I called again and was told still pending parts. Later the same day, after few attempts to check, I was told there is no part yet and shall find solution on 4/4/12, after I make massive noise on getting the exact date. On 3/4/12, I was very, very angry and asked to pass me to the manager, but the manager refused to speak to me. That increased my disappointment as the manager is supposed to address the issue if the front liner failed to answer. As told, if the part is unable to obtain, Samsung should consider replacing the whole TV instead of letting their customer await and suffer to watch for 3 weeks on the defective screen.

Until now, I am still awaiting for the part and solution, while still watching the TV which is brand new with the poor defective visual. I'm now very regretting the purchase of my Samsung TV due to the poor and slow response given. I now lost confidence on Samsung product, which initially I used to prefer Samsung. I hope Samsung is able to address my problem efficiently and promptly instead of having their customer suffer the consequences which will bring bad report to the public in the coming days.

I am very disappointed that my Samsung 34'' LCD TV I bought 4 years ago is now giving in on me. It was never touched as it's been mounted for all these years. A few days ago, a line suddenly appeared at the bottom of the screen and there is check lines all over the screen. My warranty with the store I bought it from was only for two years but I never ever thought that this TV I spent so much money on would give in after only four years.

I have another older make Samsung TV that I bought 8 years ago and that one is still going strong. Therefore, I decided at the time to buy a Samsung and nothing else. My fridge is also a Samsung. I'm so angry because my Samsung TV is the most expensive and valuable item in my home yet now it’s just an ornament against my wall. Some people told me that if it’s the LCD, then I might as well buy a brand new TV. I told them that I use my bonus to buy something so expensive and will never buy anything with the word Samsung on if Samsung cannot keep to their name and fix the problem. I’m so disappointed that Samsung is not a guaranteed product anymore.

I would really appreciate it if someone could please come out and have a look. I’d like to know what the problem is and how much would it cost. I do wish Samsung could prove me wrong though.

Samsung 46" LCD TV: I bought the TV new in February 2008 for about $1300.00; they cost more then. About 2 years ago, a tree-like shadow appeared on the right lower quarter of the TV. I called Samsung at that time, and I was told the TV was out of warranty. The shadow was not that bad, and I kept watching the TV. About 3-4 weeks ago, the lower left quarter of the TV will go black and the longer the TV is on, the problem gets worse to the point that the entire lower 2/3rds of the TV is not viewable. I called Samsung.

The TV falls under a class action lawsuit for the capacitors and power supply. They replaced them at no charge. The repairman said the panel was bad and would be $400.00 to $500.00 to replace. I called Samsung back and told them what the repairman said and that the repairs did not change my TV problems. They said that they are not doing anything else. I asked about a credit toward the purchase of another TV, and they said they had no assistance to offer. So the TV I spent $1300.00 for lasted 4 years and is in my basement, and the old Sony Trinitron tube TV is back in my living room and working great.

I called and reported to Samsung an issue with our DLP TV (model HLT5075SX/XAA). It was behaving just like their description of recalled TVs with defective capacitors. I tried to live chat twice with their representatives and stayed on the computer for over an hour each, only to be left hanging for extended periods of time while they were checking for information. Eventually, I had to disconnect each time because they never did get back with me at all. I then called the number provided and the same thing: no help. They just redirected me to samsung.com/us/capacitors to tell me that my TV did not appear on the list mentioned in the class action suit.

If my TV is doing the same thing that all the others are doing, I believe they should fairly honor my request for repair like the others. They are very inadequate with their customer service and I honestly think that their product should be permanently removed from the market for ripping people off big time and not standing behind their name. I will never own another Samsung TV due to the tremendous lack of support from the company and how they don’t value their customers. 3 1/2 years ago, we bought a 46" LED Samsung TV for $2,000. 6 months ago, the screen display began to malfunction when initially turned on. The left side of the screen had a double image super-imposed over itself and there were horizontal lines dividing the screen into thirds. After 15 minutes, the screen would clear up and all would be well.

One week ago, the problem progressed to a moving bar code on the left side of the screen with the horizontal lines. This now lasts the entire time the TV is on. I called Samsung and was told too bad, the TV is beyond the 1 year warranty. I called Best Buy and was told too bad I didn't buy their 4 year protection plan. I called a TV repair shop and was told the problem is the main board. Total for new board, labor and tax is $400. Are you kidding me? That is halfway to the price of a brand new television. Apparently, Samsung does not expect their product to last beyond the 1st year or you wouldn't need to purchase an extended warranty. I have a television in my basement that is at least 15 years old and still working. I have a beautiful JVC I'Art TV that is 8 years old and still going. My 42 inch plasma television is experiencing the same issues that other Samsung LCD and plasma televisions are experiencing, but was not included in the class action settlement. It started by cycling on and off with a clicking noise, and now does not turn on at all, but just makes a clicking noise when plugged in. I talked with three different people and spent a total of 1.5 hours on the phone with Samsung, only to be told that I would have to pay for any repairs out of pocket. I was blatantly lied to by uninformed Samsung representatives in an attempt to explain to me why Samsung would not repair my television, stating that the problem was only with LCD TVs, when there are actually 9 plasma TV models included in a settlement over this very same issue. Free repair of the faulty capacitors should be covered by Samsung for my TV, just as it has been for others.

I called 1-800-samsung to complain and troubleshoot to get it fixed. Samsung's customer service is terrible. I was on hold several times with no results. After months of wasted effort, I finally gave up and purchased another TV with a more reliable manufacturer. I called Samsung for a copy of my complaint and they conveniently no longer have a copy of the information. I will never do business with Samsung. I'm very angry even after two years.

I bought the LCD TV Model LN T4071F8 in December of 2007 as a Christmas gift for my husband. About eight months ago, we noticed that when we turned the TV on, the picture would flicker for a few minutes and then return to normal. The problem quickly got worse. The flickering got worse and the TV had a very dark color to it. If we turned off our TV, it would take a while to come on and then we would have to leave it on for a few days for the flickering and darkness of the screen to go away.

We received a class action lawsuit letter stating that there have been problems with the capacitor. We called and Samsung had someone come look at our TV. They replaced the capacitor which made our TV turn on but the flickering and darkness was still showing. Then at our expense, they replaced the main power board which fixed the flickering but not the darkness. So now, the TV repair shop took our TV to see what it was showing such a dark screen. The TV repair man said this should not be happening to such a young TV. I am very angry with all the problems that we are having with the TV and all extra money we are putting into the TV.

Here is my input for my 2.5 year old Samsung LNT4661F. Lines across the screen, blurring and color blotching. The repairman said it was the LCD panel and around $800.00 to fix it. Samsung stood strong in saying there was nothing they would do. I asked them if Samsung was satisfied with their product lasting two years. Giant pause. I was told that normal wear was expected. We are not big TV watchers and have Friday family movie night. We stretched our budget to get the Samsung experience. Beautiful picture when it worked. I even had my father-in-law buy one.

I tried to appeal to them and was not asking for a new TV, as that would not be fair. I tried to get the part covered and I would pay for the repair. I tried asking for a "good will" certificate to buy another Samsung product, just to take the sting out a bit. Again, they were not interested. I was out to purchase a 57-inch TV from Fry's a little over a year ago. After reviewing all the many choices to choose from, I was impressed with the many capabilities that Samsung had on this particular TV, so I punched it. Throughout that year, I spent more time out of state than at home. As of 2012, we are back, and I decided to enjoy my TV. As I browsed the menu to set up everything that this TV has to offer, I ran into a snag. So I called the Samsung number for assistance. I was trying to access Smart Hub but was told that I need to purchase a Samsung wireless LAN Adapter; so we did.

I once again called Samsung for further assistance. To my disappointment after following the lead of the many instructions from your Samsung tech, I was told that my TV does not provide the features that they were trying to set up. I replied with "Then why are these items on the TV and remote control?" They could not explain other than "It's advertisement." My question: What false advertisement? I hung up the phone and called back, hoping that perhaps I had connected with someone who didn't know what they were talking about.

Once again, I jumped through all the hoops and was finally told that this TV is not compatible with the item that I purchase. The item that they told me to purchase was WIS09ABGN, and my TV cannot support what is offered on the screen. So she took me to Media P and took up over an hour of my time just to inform me that I could download movies from my computer onto my TV. Huh? In 2012, who does that? DirecTV offers that with a click of the remote, but I was requesting the ability to use Netflix.

I have an LG 47-inch TV in my master bedroom, so I called LG for assistance to set up Netflix and all the many wonderful apps that LG has to offer. Customer Service was wonderful; she took her time with me and walked me through everything, answered all my questions, and made sure I knew how to operate the remote before she released me from the phone call. I was so impressed until I had to complement their Customer Service skills as well as their knowledge and ability skills.

I am extremely displeased with Samsung. I called back several times, and everyone I spoke to eventually informed me of the same disappointing information. But no one knew this from the beginning, no, not even after they had the model code number of my TV. They tried to rush me off the phone, had no patience, tried transferring me to other departments, and kept putting me on hold as if they were looking up information or answers to my questions. They couldn't answer my questions, and no one apologized for all they had put me through, especially for sending me to purchase a part that did not work even after they had my model number of the TV.

My big screen TV is wonderful to look at, and that is all. I am a geek savvy when it comes to TVs, computers, and gadgets. I spent big money on this TV, and I feel that I was ripped off, because I did not get what I paid for and that I was lied to with the false advertisement. Because of this, I will not recommend Samsung products to anyone. Each time I look at my TV, I view it as I was took by Samsung and they sold it broken and not even they can fix it.

Recently, it simply stopped and would click over and over but would never actually come on. I started researching and found that there was a known problem with a capacitor on Samsung TVs made around that time. I called Samsung customer service and they promptly told me that my model was not on the list of affected models. I explained to them that I was having the same symptom and believed it was the same problem. However, that still didn't phase them. They said that my one year warranty had ran out (tell me something I didn't know, this is 2012 and the TV was purchased in 2007), but that they were willing to give me the names of some shops in my area that would graciously repair my set for a price. I tried to tell them that it was unacceptable, but they stood firm.

Anyway, in the end, I went out and purchased another TV (not Samsung). The thing is I've always been a loyal Samsung customer. I've currently own 2 Samsung TVs (one not working), 2 DVDs and 1 blu-ray player. However, based on this last experience, I will never purchase any Samsung equipment again. It simply boggles my mind that they would know that this is a problem with so many models, but would insist that the problem could not possibly be happening even though the symptoms are exactly the same.

My brother had checked the TV and stated it would be a costly fix. So it was disposed of at the local landfill and I bought a new one.

A class action lawsuit apparently forced them to deal with the issues that were very prevalent with these TVs with the faulty capacitors so I filled out the claim form and very shortly afterwards received a call back from Samsung stating I needed proof that I had disposed of the TV.

What proof? Why would I have ever even thought that I would need proof that I threw a TV away? Oh right, I knew that there would be a class action lawsuit...uh huh! Well, a rep technician at Samsung told me that my TV qualified for free repair and then another rep told me that was incorrect. So I told the second guy to shove it and emailed Samsung.

Like so many others, my TV has decided to go on the fritz. The first day, it took 5 minutes to turn on; the second day, 15 minutes; and on the third day, one hour! It just clicks and clicks and clicks. The TV has now been left on continuously for a week. So I googled the problem, only to find that this is a common problem with Samsung. Seriously, how did this happen?! I call Samsung and am originally told that my TV is qualified for repair for free. Then I am told by another person that my TV does not qualify because it was manufactured in January 2009, one month after the defective TVs were manufactured. One month! Guess what? My TV has the same problem as the TVs made four weeks earlier. He tells me that he can send a technician out but that I am financially responsible to fix the TV.

Basically, I have to come out of pocket for a problem that Samsung created! As a consumer, I have the choice of what brand I buy. I have always been a loyal Samsung consumer. Not anymore. This is ridiculous. A TV that cost me $1600 only three-years ago--this should not happen. I may only be one consumer out of many, but I am far from the only consumer with this problem and far from the only consumer that is spreading the word to friends and family.

I bought (2) two Samsung 52 LCD TVs from Best Buy in May 2009 (they were manufactured in March 2009) for my second home, so I rarely used one and never used the other until recently. Samsung did cover repairs on my first unit in 2011 but I had to haul the unit 1411 miles from Phoenix to Seattle my self to get to the authorized repair center (I was making the trip anyway so I agreed to it). Today, I tried to get the second unit repaired and Samsung says the class action lawsuit only covers pre December 2008 Samsung LCD TVs. There is obviously a huge opportunity here for an additional class action against Samsung Electronics America, Inc. for the millions of consumers who purchased defective Samsung products after December 1, 2008. Up until today I was a huge Samsung fan having personally bought two 52" LCDs, three 55" LCDs and two 46" Samsung LED TVs since 2009. Samsung could really have made a positive statement that would have given them a great name had they simply repaired the TVs for all the people they have knowingly defrauded.

I bought a Samsung 50 inch TV in January 2011. By June 2011, the TV screen was showing white guitar-like lines up and down my screen. The TV was fixed under warranty. Six months later in December, the screen was freezing continuously and I could not watch TV. I called for several weeks, finally someone came out the day before the warranty expired.

The tech said it was the cable. I had the cable company come out and they said it was the TV. Several days later the TV started acting up again. I called Samsung again to complain. While watching Superbowl, the TV started making a loud buzzing noise. I turned the TV off and waited a few minutes. I turned it back on, and there's no picture, just this loud buzzing noise. I called Samsung. They sent out Gibson TV again. The tech said this was clearly from the inside of the TV and he would let Samsung know. I called Samsung, was told a supervisor would call me back within an hour. They never did.

I called back 2 days later. I was rudely told that the TV had physical damage and it would not be covered. There is no physical damage to this TV, there is not a scratch on it. It has been in a solid wood cabinet. I asked where the damage was and did not get an answer but was told it would not be covered. I had this TV for only a year and had trouble with it in the first 6 months. It took me 2 years to save for this TV. I am single mom with five kids and support, I cannot afford another TV. I am sure your TV is supposed to last for more than a year.

I called Samsung and asked them to honor my warranty because I called about the problem before the warranty expired. Please do the honorable thing and call me to come to a mutual agreement about this TV.

    Reviewed Feb. 28, 2012

I purchased 3 flat panel plasma TVs on Sept. 24th for over $1500. One being this Samsung 51" flat panel TV. On Sept 24, 2011 (not even 5 months old to the date of TV going out), we also paid an additional $179.00 for an extended 3-year warranty that turned out to be useless in this matter. The Samsung was fine the night of Thursday, Feb. 16th, 2012. We left the house at 6:50AM Friday morning for work. We returned Friday evening the 17th, late around 9:30PM, turned the TV on to nothing but sound. The screen was totally black. My husband and I pushed buttons on the remote, thinking it was just an issue with the brightness or something simple. Looking further, moments later we discovered approximately a 2" cross shape inner screen crack on the bottom left corner of the TV. I immediately called the warranty center twice that night, whose systems were down. I called a third time the following morning (Saturday, 18th), explaining the discovery of the inner screen scratch. Also explaining that no one was home all day to damage a TV that played just fine the evening before. I also explained that compared to our other flat panels, this particular Samsung gets extremely hot when in use.

I was told by the warranty company that due to "damage", the warranty did not cover the repair or replacement of "nicks, dings, chips or handling damage". I reiterated that the TV had not been "handled, moved, hit, dinged, nicked or any of the above". That the outside screen was perfectly smooth and again, played just fine the evening before with no one being at home that day to "hit, ding, nick or handle the TV". I was politely given the contact information to Samsung Consumers Affairs with the encouragement that "they may be willing to replace the TV". I contacted the company in which I purchased the TVs from (HH Gregg, who have been very helpful with this process to include attempting to get this rectified), in hopes that they would steer me in a direction of resolution.

The sales associate called Samsung himself to ensure that I had a point of contact. Between Saturday, Feb. 18th-Monday, Feb. 20th, I have spoken to 3 primary Samsung rep, who in turn referred me to the Executive Consumer Relations Dept. I have spoken to 2 different execs of CS Relations, approximately 4 different times in an attempt to email pictures along with my explanation of how the TV screen went blank (discovering the inside crack). I was expecting a receipt of picture confirmation email form the Executive Dept, which I did not receive. Therefore, I called again on Monday, Feb. 20th. At which time I was able to confirm with the 3rd executive of CS Relations that the email/pictures with a visible view of the "crack" had been received. That in turn, this information was forwarded to the Evaluation Team (after initially being placed in the wrong "cube") and that I would receive a determination from that team.

I received that determination today Feb 28th. That determination is that due to "being damaged", Samsung would not be replacing or repairing the TV. I explained, yet again, the following: That the TV had not been hit, dinged, damaged, cracked, mishandled or even moved since the purchase less than 5 months ago, that the TV played fine the night before, that no one had been home all day to cause mishap to the TV, that turning the TV on upon the night of getting home late is when it would do nothing but play audibly. Also reminding the representative that I had initially explained how this particular TV gets extremely hot when on compared to the other flat panels (by companies other than Samsung) remain cool. That I am a person who is extreme about principle and after paying the type of money that we did on 3 flat screens along with an extended warranty on this 51" as a safety measure. What reputable technology company would make this type of determination?

At this time, after the exec checked with their supervisor, I was offered a "one time offer of Samsung paying for all parts if I were to pay for the labor". My principle would not allow that. At which time, I asked for the process and information to file a complaint. To include reminding them that we have been without this TV for over 10 days. I was given the information to "write" the Office of the President of CSR Affairs at Samsung. To ensure that I had options at my disposal, I did request the repair contact information. Only at this time to get an idea of the cost of labor. Even if the labor cost is let's say $45 per hour, it is a cost that I would expect Samsung to cover, as I pointed out to the executive rep. However, at this point, the confirmed cost is ridiculous! My principles will not allow me to do it.

I was at home for lunch late November of last year. I had owned my TV for roughly 8 months at this time. When turning my TV on, the screen flickered and then turned back off. I tried turning the TV back on and it made a crackling noise and then shut off again. I didn't know what was happening but I called the 1800 Samsung phone number to get some advice.

The adviser on the the other end of the phone asked me to try to turn the TV on again for the 3rd time and doing so, I heard the crackling sound again and a white light flashed and the TV shut off for a 3rd time. I was then asked to get closer to the TV and look closely at the screen and that's when I noticed a 5 to 6" spider web crack on the lower right hand side of the screen. I couldn't feel the crack because it was on the inside screen. The adviser told me a tech would be sent out to look at the TV and they would call me within a few days.

About a week passed and I had heard from no one at Samsung so I called back. The second person I spoke with had no transaction/case number in their system so she issued me another number. To make a long story short, this happened and stemmed over a 2-month period and nothing was being done and I was kept being told it would be repaired and then I'd get a cancelled repair email. Not even enough courtesy to call and tell me but sending a no reply e-mail instead. Nine different times this happened to me and was told 9 different times I would be called back and they followed through with that promise 1 (one) time.

No callbacks that answered any questions, no follow up system, nothing but a bunch of lies and runaround is what Samsung is all about apparently. Six different times I was told my TV would be repaired and nothing was ever done but cancelled repair e-mails. So to sum it up, 9 different reps lied to me 9 different times. They were batting 100% on lying and that speaks wonders about this company I had been loyal to for 10 years with my cell phones, TVs and DVD system and apparently I'm not the only consumer they are lying to. I had left the issue alone for about a month now since I was moving to a new home but I've settled in my new place and am not going to let them shrug me off of treat me like a number.

Buyers beware of this company's so-called product and warranty procedures. Oh I forgot that every time they told me my TV would be repaired, I was given the repair company's contact number and when I called them, they knew nothing about having my TV repair nor did they have a repair claim ticket sent to them. So not only did they lie to me but had me call a company that they knew would know nothing about my repair. Liars, liars and liars is what the new Samsung company name should be changed to.

Our problems with this dud are cascading discolorations in the top center of the screen, loud popping sounds at odd intervals, and wide performance results from the 3 HDMI ports. One port gives a badly washed out picture, one port gives a picture similar to the old standard definition sets and the third port (which we did not bother to try until recently) provides better HD results.

As a result, we had Verizon and Comcast technicians in our home many times and wound up dropping both services because of the poor performance which none of the techs could figure out. We recently purchased a new refrigerator and passed over the Samsung model because of our poor experience with this product. After much research, it looks like this is a common problem with Samsung. I've seen many comments, where repairmen have said how common this is for the capacitors to go out. As I expected, I contacted Samsung just to report the problem, and see if they will yet acknowledge the problem. I was told (and I quote) "there are no reported problems with that model". I told her I begged to differ, and I have found a ton of reported issues. So I forwarded the rep a link to a whole list of complaints off of this website. I was just told that she understands my concern, but there are no reported issues with my model.

Sadly, I honestly didn't expect to hear anything different, after all I've read but I thought I would at least give them the benefit of the doubt. I've had a Toshiba now for 18 years and a Hitachi for 17. Neither have ever had a repair. While I understand that plasma is still new technology, I also would expect Samsung to understand that I forked out over $3,000 for this TV, and have an expectation that it will last more than 39 months. I'm not disappointed over the fact that they won't "extend" any type of warranty. What I'm very upset and angry over is, that this has apparently been an ongoing issue with their TVs for quite some time, yet they make no attempt to rectify it with those who spend our hard earned money on their products. At this point, I don't even care what they try to do to fix it going forward, I personally will never purchase their products again.

I feel lucky that I didn't pay for this, it was my sister's and she left it to me when she passed away two years ago. She bought it the year before she died so it is three years old. I thought moving it from San Diego to Salt Lake City, something may have gone wrong. But now I know it is Samsung. I'm going to purchase a new TV, but you'd better believe it will not be a Samsung!

Now, the process to have it repaired has turned into a never ending exchange process, which is horrible. Their customer service center's people are professional, but their hands are tied and no escalations can be made. I seem to be in this continual cycle of "the next step in the process will take 7-10 business days," which could drag on endlessly. I'm very, very disappointed, especially considering the amount of money I've spent and the amount of time I've had to take off of work to accommodate this ridiculous process. I'm considering the following:

    1. Arguing with the retailer for supporting and reselling a manufacturer's product when such issues occur and seeing if they can help.
    2. Working on getting a refund if this takes yet another week to resolve.

    3. If taking longer than 2 weeks (we're at a month already), I will be seeking legal action for lost wages for repair and escalation accommodations as well as other damages.

We purchased a 46-inch Sam "suck" TV model # 630 a couple of years ago. It sat in the box unopened for one year before my husband put it on the stand. Within a matter of months (less than a year and not even 50 hours of viewing) the television had different color vertical lines running through the screen. I called Samsung customer service who said the TV was "out of warranty" after the first year and that I should contact Samsung, which I did through e-mail. I received no response. I also called my cable server and had them send me out a new cable box thinking that might be the problem, but it was not. My son took the TV to a highly reputable repair shop, who said I could buy another TV for what it would cost to repair this one. He also said that I got a "lemon" because if this happens, it usually happens within the first year, while still under warranty. Again I contacted Samsung by phone after finding out that it was the "panel" that was burnt out. The gentlemen I spoke with apologized, but said there wasn't anything that could be done. I think it's a shame that after reading so many complaints, Samsung hasn't done anything to rectify this problem. Samsung? No! Samsuck!

Last week, I spoke with Samsung and they "assured" me that they had no similar complaints. This is a lie as I was able to finally submit a repair request on their website and discovered a drop down menu that listed a number of problems with their TVs and asking me to categorize which problem I had. Right there in the list of problems was horizontal lines. I was referred to a local repair service. I called them and they said the TV screen is defective and that they recommend that I purchase a new TV. To repair the TV would cost $400 in parts and $200 in labor and, of course, a very limited warranty on the repair (if memory serves me right - 90 days). We bought our Samsung TV just around Christmas time in 2009, and I have done a lot of research before I decided to purchase this unit. I was looking at reliability, quality picture, etc and it was considered one of the best at that time so I went and got the unit from Future Shop. Some salesman tried to sway me away to other models but I wanted this one and only this one. I had to go and get it in another city because it was not available were we live. For two years, it was a nice object. Friends that came to us all noticed the TV and I gave them the advice to buy Samsung. Today, I am sorry and I will never ever buy or recommend again a Samsung TV.

Reason: Two weeks ago, we had some friends over and the TV started to make some screen noise and some lines appeared and then stopped. First, I was thinking that the Bell satellite receiver has problems so I turned off then on and after a few tries all was okay until last Sunday when it was time to watch the super bowl when the TV did not show any signs of life anymore. I called the Samsung support and I was told that I run out of warranty and I have to call a service technician from an offshoot of Samsung from South Korea too called Koambra. I told him that I am very dissatisfied with the Samsung TV that was expected to last between 60,000 to 100,000 hours and I only got about 500 hours. I told him that the Internet is full of complaints about the quality of parts inside the unit, how as soon the two year warranty passes, the TV dies for different reasons, e.g. capacitors, (he told me that the capacitor problem was solved and something else is wrong with the unit as if this will make me happier) inverter, transformers, EEPROM chip etc.

I opened the TV and there is no visible sign of capacitors on the power board being bad but anyway I replaced them. I do have some electronics knowledge but without a schematic it's hard for me to do a proper diagnosis so I took the power board with me first to Samsung in Brampton on Superior boulevard and it was useless. They only sell new parts and will not give you any information. So I went to Koambra (by the way, if you try calling, nobody will answer and there is no way to leave a message), which is 200 meters away on the next street at ** **** dr., where a young guy told me that will be a $80 charge to do the diagnostic and then the parts, a power board, would cost $115 and if the other board is gone another $200. The total can be up to $500.

Totally unfair for Samsung not to take responsibility of their product quality. It should be a class action suit against them. I am looking now to get another TV but for sure not a Samsung and I will do all in my power to advice anybody to stay away from them on any product. They lack any respect for the consumer. I had a problem with my iPhone, went to an Apple store and they replaced the unit right away without any question. This is what I call customer service.

There are quite a number of forums out there reporting the power cycling issues with Samsung's televisions. Samsung claims that these problems are restricted to their older model TVs and that their new LED TVs have higher voltage capacitors and are therefore not subject to the same issues. Unfortunately, whether they are due to capacitors or something else, the issues continue.

I bought my Samsung LED TV (model #UN55C6300SFXZA) less than two years ago for over $2,000. Recently, the television has begun turning off and back on again repeatedly every evening. Basically, every time the picture goes black (for example, when a program is going into commercial), the television turns off and back on again. In addition, when I try to turn off the television it turns back on by itself. I have to turn it off repeatedly until it finally stays off.

I called Samsung and reported the issue. I was told over and over again that Samsung's newer TVs, like mine, are not subject to the "capacitor issue". Finally, Samsung agreed to send someone out for a complimentary out-of-warranty service call, since the problem was so similar to what the older TVs were experiencing. They scheduled an appointment and I took the morning off to stay home and wait for the service company. Unfortunately, they never showed. When I called to find out what happened, they again told me that because my TV is a newer LED TV and not subject to the "capacitor issue" it would do no good to send someone out for that issue, and that is the only issue for which they will do a complimentary out-of-warranty service call. Oh, and by the way, didn't someone call to tell you? No!

Bottom line, whether it is the infamous "capacitor issue" or whether it is some other issue, Samsung has a serious ongoing problem with their TVs which they are failing to acknowledge and failing to correct. The question that I would ask them is this: Is this the way that a $2,500 television with your name on it should perform after 20 months of use? If not, then they should be interested in resolving the issue. Since they clearly are not interested in learning about or resolving the issue, I would highly advise staying away from Samsung televisions.

I purchased a 61" Samsung DLP television model HLT6156WX/XAA two years ago at my local Sam's Club. As recently as a few months ago, my television started to develop tiny white dots all over the screen and it's progressively getting worse. I have contacted the customer service center and explained the problem that I am having. The customer service rep advised that Samsung has been paying for the cost of repairs for televisions experiencing this specific problem. But unfortunately, my particular television will not be covered because it is not on their list.

I explained to them that it did not make any sense that Samsung is paying to fix certain televisions with this particular problem, but not mine because it's not on their list. The customer service rep transferred me to their executive customer support center where I was told that the newer model televisions were not on their list to provide free repairs. I asked the service rep, "Who do I need to contact to get my television on the list because it has the same problem as the others that are being repaired for free?" The service rep advised me that I need to contact the corporate office in New Jersey by mail. I asked her for a phone number to contact them and she stated that she was not allowed to disclose that phone number to me.

I feel that Samsung has the obligation and duty to repair my television, since it's only two years old and that they are willing to repair other televisions with the exact same problem that my television is having. After filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, a rep from "the president's" office, which I think is just another call center, calls me to inform me that they received my complaint via the BBB and simply repeated everything that I have already heard. She was of no help whatsoever. They refuse to admit that there is a problem here. They do not understand that they just lost a lifelong consumer which would have made them a lot more money then what this TV cost.

I have made it a mission of mine to let everyone I know, how wrong Samsung is and how they treat their consumers. Buyer beware! Do not buy Samsung DLP TVs.

We are very upset. We spent $500 on a TV that we only used 8 months and Samsung will do nothing to compensate or repair their defective product. We will never purchase another Samsung and we are spreading the word to avoid them. I guess they are too big to feel they should do anything or care about what customers think.

I purchased Samsung LCD 40-inch 1080 120Hz TV in January 2009. As soon as the warranty expired, TV started to show horizontal lines. In the beginning, after 10 minutes warm up period lines went away. But later the lines did not go away at all. I called authorized service technician. He said throw the TV away; the motherboard has a problem and it will cost too much to replace it. 6 months later, I called another technician. He said TV has a defective LCD and it will cost $1,590 to replace it. I paid $1,110 for the TV. I called Samsung and they said since warranty is expired and I need to pay to get it fixed. In my opinion, if a TV has a motherboard problem or defective LCD, Samsung should be responsible for it, not the customer. I am looking for a legal action for this issue.

Two years ago, we bought a Samsung flat panel TV (code: LN40A500T1FXZA) from Best Buy. About a month ago, we hooked it up to a TiVo unit. Two days ago, the TV started having "hiccups", when we tried turning it on. Yesterday, it completely stopped turning on. We contacted Samsung, and they told us that there is nothing they can do, and that we have to contact a certified technician to fix it.

We called the technician, and the guy said that this is a common defect with Samsung flat panel TVs. We then called Samsung back, to have them pay for the repair of this common defect. They said that it is not their problem. Now we have to pay the technician to fix a common defect on Samsung products. My recommendation is stay away from Samsung due to poor customer service, and a company that does not stand behind its products.

We called customer service, and they came and changed the defective part. After around 45 days, the same problem occurred.

I have called so many times to our local service center, and finally they came on 4th of January, 2012, and took with them all the photocopy of the documents (related to the product) and ID, and told us that they will either replace the TV within 15 days, or refund us for the amount we paid. Now, 1 month is going to be over, and I am frequently making calls to ** (complaint no. 8433898727), but I am not getting any response. I think they are taking everything very causally. I am paying the interest at 8.50% per annum, as I have taken the loan for the TV from the SBI. Now, I don't have any faith on them, as I am not satisfied with their service. Unless that is why Samsung is picking and choosing the out of warranty TVs they are repairing for free. The TV developed the white dot problem in Sept 2011. I called Samsung and was told they were not out of warranty repairing my model number and I am on my own.

My internet research shows that the white dot problem is caused by a defective DLP chip part #4719-001997, manufactured by Texas Instruments and used in numerous Samsung models. Replacement chip costs range between 3 to 5 hundred dollars, if you can find one, plus installation. Apparently, flat screens are not made to last 10 years or so like tube TVs. Too bad for our landfills that they are allowed to dump all this junk on us.

We purchased a 52" Samsung 1080P LCD TV in Nov. 2009 from Leons - Model No. LN52B530 P7F for $1348. This TV performed well for 32 days until the picture turned to mauve. We were told it was probably the color wheel. After some discussion, we were given a new TV, same size and model as the original one.

Not quite 2 years later, this TV developed a serious problem. The right side of the screen split away & color bars rolled around. We contacted Samsung & Leons. Leons suggested we call a repairman who told us we would require a new panel at a cost of $1068. We did not purchase extended warranty when we bought our TV. Our reasoning was the company provided a 1 year warranty and we had 1 extra year with our credit card provider. The TV popped 2 weeks too late!

In the good old days, if a TV had defects, they usually showed up in the first year and even when repairs were required, it seldom was more than $100 - $200.

It seems now when something goes wrong, no matter the age of the TV, l month or 2 years, it becomes a matter of discarding a $1,348 TV and buying a new one. Perhaps it is time for Samsung to concentrate on reliability as well as innovation!

There was never a problem with the picture quality after it finally turned on but the clicking, popping and the delay made me think it would blow up. After reading the reports here, I called Samsung last Sunday and told them I had the capacitor problem. They looked up my model number, said no problem and had the repair people call me on Monday to set up appointment. The repair man just left. He replaced the power board. I had five blown capacitors. I bought a Samsung UN55C7000 LED TV in January 2011. A week later I noticed extreme amounts of light showing through all sides of the screen and even more thru the corners. It made it very hard to watch anything that had a dark scene and especially hard to watch anything in letter box. After they replaced the panel the problem was much worse. They replaced the panel yet again with the same problem showing.

After about 4 months of arguing with Samsung customer service they exchanged it for a UN55D7900 LED TV. Everything was amazing, that was until I watched a nature show where they did a lot of panning camera work. There I noticed that there were vertical lines that were 2 inches in width every 3 inches that tinted the colors. After seeing that in that show I noticed them on every show (including Blu-ray movies). I called tech support again and they replaced the panel on that one. While the technician was here he noticed large blotches of white light throughout the screen. He submitted a report and replaced my panel again. Then we both noticed the lines again plus the white blotches.

After yet another report submitted he came back with another panel. This time after he replaced the panel there are only two lines in the TV. We tuned the TV to an all black screen. The all black screen is only black in the middle and the rest is an off blue. "True black" my **. So I called the CRE department of Samsung and demanded my money back. They said no, we will only exchange your TV and that’s only if they approve it. I call them every day and it’s now been a 8 days and they still haven't reviewed my claim.

Good thing in Canada there is a product liability act. I will probably follow though with suing them since I’ve already contacted a lawyer and they said it’s an easy case, especially since I’ve been brought 7 TVs (panel replacements) and I have all the reports from the technician. I will never again buy a Samsung product ever again.

I've had the Samsung PN50B850 plasma TV since 9/1/2009. It is no longer covered by warranty. It has worked great, and we've been very happy with it.

However ,over the past few weeks, it's been almost unwatchable. It first began flashing the menu screen on and off nonstop after the TV had been on for about 20 minutes. This would go on for another 10 minutes or so. It would then switch the source from HDMI to Cable, and begin cycling through the channels non stop in reverse. The only way to stop this from happening would be to turn the power off. It would have to remain off for another 20-30 minutes before it could operate normally. Then the whole thing would repeat itself.

We called Best Buy, where we purchased it, and talked to Geek Squad. They referred us to a local repair company. The repair company said it is a very common problem. They came out and replaced the "control board".

Now it's something new. Instead, the volume has a mind of its own. Again, after being on for about 20 minutes, the volume starts to increase non-stop on its own. If we turn the TV off for a while, it will work normally for another 20 minutes before starting again.

I've googled this problem, and it appears to be widespread with this model. However, no one seems to have a fix.

I was told I would have to pay for this however I know many others are having this issue. Please if you have this problem and bought a Samsung or a TV with Samsung parts inside, post now and let our numbers be shown. This is not our faults, we did not cause damage to our sets!

I bought a 56" Samsung HL-T5687S TV in 2007, and now have permanent white dots appearing on the screen. A search on the internet reveals that this is a common problem with Samsung TVs. Samsung customer service say they will not repair it because it is out of warranty. The repair will cost $400. This is the last time I will buy Samsung.

Extended warranty was not purchased, and the Geek Squad representative made it clear that she would "never" buy a product without purchasing one. It made me even angrier with all companies involved. Never will I purchase Samsung or use Best Buy again.

I bought a Samsung 46" LCD TV in January 2009 (model LN46A630M1FXZA). The screen went bad. It started showing inverted colors on the screen this past summer 6 months after the warranty period. My credit card extended the one-year manufacturer’s warranty to 2 years. After several calls and looking for various solutions suggested by Samsung, it seems this expensive TV has just become a piece of junk. I took it to a local repair shop and they tell me it is not worth while to repair it. The cost for the screen only was quoted as $830. I feel that Samsung should honor their faulty piece and either pay for the repairs or replace it. Such expensive item (I paid almost $1300) should last longer than 2 to 3 years.

I purchased a 64" Samsung 3-D Plasma model # PN64D8000FF on 12-02-2011 from H&SGregg in Aventura, Florida. On 01-09-2012, I was watching TV and all of a sudden, a black horizontal line from side to side appeared on the screen. After checking all the wiring, cable box, and everything imaginable, I found out it was a major malfunction with the TV. I called H&SGregg and they put me through the service department where they had told me that it was something major and that the TV would have to be repaired. Keep in mind that this TV is a little more than 4 weeks old and cost me $3K. Finally, I spoke to a supervisor and he scheduled for an exchange for a new one on 01-13-2012. I purchased the additional 4-year insurance for $499, but I thought that's only for the rear occasional breakdown. I never expected such a famous name brand to have so many, many problems especially on a literally new high end TV. Wow! Talk about being majorly disappointed.

I have had my Samsung Plasma since late 2007 and of course just recently out of the extended warranty. The TV started to make a clicking sound and to go on and off as of today. I called Samsung and they will not send out anyone; not even as this is the first time. I did read that they sometimes do a one time out warranty call but must depend on model. They claimed that this is not a problem they see at all but from what I see on this site and others this problem with Samsung seems to be pretty common.

I paid almost $2000.00 since it was the best-rated TV at the time. It was not really in the end. Samsung was not helpful at all and could care less about the issue. I will not ever buy a Samsung product again. I have been loyal to the brand with my cellphone and dvd players but no more. T his is the last Samsung purchase I will ever make.

I have the UN55C8000, purchased about 18 months ago - July 2011. As soon as I got it, there were issues. First, the backlit Samsung logo was only lit on one side. They sent a tech out who then decided that a new bezel would need to be installed. After waiting a couple of weeks for that part to arrive, the tech practically takes apart my new TV to a naked display panel since a complete bezel was being installed.

Then a month later, the 3D stops functioning completely. I contacted Samsung again and same procedure. They send out a tech (same 3rd party company) and they tell me a board needs to be replaced. Couple of days later, the new board arrived and the TV comes apart again. Watching them put it all back together was pretty sad for a near new TV. Stuff a wire here that way, forget that piece of tape, etc. you get the idea.

I tried to complain at that time to receive a replacement unit, instead of having a new TV that was torn apart twice. But, that would never happen with Samsungs awful customer service. So all has been good for the past year and suddenly it started happening, clicking sound but no powering up for my TV. After leaving it unplugged for a while and trying again, it would turn on, but soon after, dead. Sounds like the same capacitor problem as everyone else.

The sick thing is I purchased a 46C8000 as well, but that TV has been zero problems at 16 months now. I feel it was caused by the abuse it went through for the repairs that made these issues arise. But a call to Samsung got me nothing. They can't grasp any concept except it is out of warranty. 12 months for a $3k TV. After spending $4,000 on 2 top of the line TV's in less than a year and a half, kaput! Rep tells me too bad, it's out of the 12 month warranty. They can send the tech, but I would have to pay out of pocket. What a joke!

I’m going to fix capacitor myself, hope this TV last a little while longer. Either way, last Samsung ever! **! Samsucks!

It make repeated clicking sound and finally powered up. Now, it refuses to power up although it still makes repeated clicking sound. I searched the internet for any info related to this kind of TV having the same problems. To my surprise, there are quite a lot of reports on this problem. There are also quite a few YouTube instruction videos about repairing what causes the problem. I also found one Samsung contact telephone number but nobody answered it when I called. I left a message, but they haven't returned my call. The problem is said to be caused by poor quality electrolytic capacitors on the power supply board. I am wondering whether this type of problem is unique to Samsung TVs or not.

I called Samsung and talked to one of their techs. I was told that since my product was outside of the one-year warranty, they provide that they could not do anything for me.

I have since searched online and noticed an exorbitant amount of people who purchased the same TV model around the same time and whose issues started occurring around the same time and who have all received the same response from Samsung. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. This is completely unacceptable. It has worked great over the last few years, until about one month ago when I tried to turn it on, and it began to click continuously, then finally turning on. It gets worse each time I turn it on, and after reading all the complaints, I assume I am just one of many that have defective components in my unit. I've enjoyed the TV very much. I just feel that not even getting a 4 year life out of it, was worth the money it cost when I bought it. It cost about $1,300 brand new. You would think that would get a longer life, but from what everyone else is saying, it looks like that 3-4 years was the designed life span of the Samsung units.

I posted a complaint on this site on 12/1/11 regarding a recurring problem with my TV powering on and off. The TV was purchased in May of 2008. First problem arose in 2010. I had an extended warranty and they replaced the power supply. Then in November 2011, the TV began doing the same thing again. It would just continually power on and off. I called Samsung to complain and they agreed to send a tech out to replace capacitors one time free of charge. This did not fix the problem and after a return call to them I was told I would be responsible for the additional repairs.

That was not happening, so after a week of calling them every day and getting the same response, I wrote a letter to the BBB and the Attorney General. Two days after Samsung received the complaint from the BBB, I received a call from them saying they would fix the TV free of charge! Then after the parts were shipped to rthe epair center and were damaged in transit, they offered to replace the TV with a new 2011 model for $400. It was too good of a deal to pass up, a 2011 55" 3D TV in place of a 2008 52". For all those on here filing a complaint, don't give up. No matter how many times they tell you that you are **, keep after them. Write to whoever you can. The results may not be the same but it never hurts to keep trying! No company likes to receive a formal complaint from the BBB or the Attorney General. I hope this helps and good luck.
