In Nov of 2020 I purchased a 70" Element TV. After 11 months, screen went black. I contacted customer service and they were very helpful and eventually issued me a refund. I received the refund in November of 2021 and used it to buy a 75" Element TV on November 5th 2021, assuming that what happened with the last Tv may be a fluke. Well, just today, 12/14/22, the same exact thing happened. Screen is black and can't see anything. The same exact thing that happened with the last TV I bought from them, happened again, this time 13 months after I purchased it. Save yourself the trouble and do NOT purchase an element TV unless you only want to have the TV for one year.
I am now 1 month out of warranty, so I am pretty sure they will not refund me but I would just like to warn others. Companies like this, that produce crap products that last one year, should not be able to sell their products. Again, last time I dealt with their customer service, it did go well but the bottom line is I had two TVs stop working one year after purchase. No matter how good your customer service is, your products should be built to last longer than 1 year. I have 6 other TVs throughout my house and all of them are much older than the Element. I have a Sony that is probably 15 years old in my son's room, and a Samsung in my basement that is probably 8 years old, and a brand called Olevia in my daughter's room that is still kicking after 17 years! It's a shame cause I really liked the TVs with the built in Roku.
Hi Michael. Are you able to give us the case number here? I am not finding your name in our system.

I have had my 70 inch Roku Onn TV for less than a year. For 6 weeks Element has forced me to troubleshoot with 3 employees. Nothing works and they refer me back to Walmart and Walmart escalates it back to Element in the report telling them to refund my TV. The latest employee, Jesse (employee id **-probably a fake) refused to help with issuing my refund or a television replacement. I have vertical black lines running through the center of my television and according to all the reviews online so do thousands of other customers and Walmart has said that Element is required to honor my warranty. Here we are with no resolve and no call from management like requested.
Hello Kimber. It sounds like it is just a miscommunication. Reviewing the case, we only see the units that are not under our warranty program. Can you please email us the receipt of the just tv that is under our warranty. Thank you, as this would be most helpful.

My tv went black with sound in under a year. I called and ended up having to leave a message. It took them a week to call back, but I missed the call. I call right back and same thing on hold till I had to leave a message, but this time no one called me back. My daughter's tv only lasted a year and went black a few months before mine. Unbelievable that these companies don't even respect their consumers, Wish the government would fine them. Once I see something with this company's name I will never buy.

I purchased this TV during Black Friday last year and have had (still having) the same issue continuously. This is ridiculous because when you pay for a product expect it to work correctly and all the company does is direct you to the FAQ section. I realize that this is a late review, but I haven't had time to post until now.

I've been calling Element Electronics for the last six months and no one has gotten back to me, I have also contacted Walmart who instructed me to get a hold of element electronics. I am very frustrated and disappointed I would like a refund or an exchange for this item, today I have a 70 inch worthless television in my living room that I spent hundreds of dollars on very and nothing from the company shameful..

Horrible all around. We didn't have the TV for 3 months and it blacked out. Took 2 months to get it to a repair shop then after a month they "no longer make the part we'd need" so sure, "We'll give you a refund FOR $180"! I think that No way in the world we could replace the TV for that. It was an issue they knew about or should have from the reviews on the BBB. Talked to 5 managers with surprisingly American names despite their very thick Indian accents. All told me something different. In the warranty it says replacement is an option but yet EVERY non manager I've talked to has said, "We don't do replacements." They will screw you over hard. Do not buy from them!!! You get nothing but the run around and a big middle finger from them.
Hello Kori, sorry to hear the TV is no longer working. After reviewing your case, we refunded your purchase price of the TV. We will escalate the miscommunication of the team communicating several different resolutions.

I bought a 65 inch smart TV on black Friday last year. Last month it completely went black. I contacted the company, sent them all requested paperwork, 3 weeks and 40 emails later they finally set up a service for my TV to be repaired. Well the TV wasn't repairable and a report was sent back to Element. Well after more attempts to try and get my TV replaced, finally someone just told me I'm getting a refund of 299. Well I spent 330 in black Friday (major sales day). I told them I did not want the refund check. I would like a "replacement of equal or greater value" like their warranty and policy state.
After talking to 4 different people and numerous emails someone finally just said no, and initiated a check to be sent. I've contacted through the help chat 4 different times to cancel the check and issue an actual replacement since I can literally not replace my TV with the sales price I paid. And per their own contract (that they've sent me numerous times) they should lawfully be replacing my TV of equal or great value of my 65 inch TV. But after talking to 2 different supervisors, who both said completely different things for resolving. This last one I spoke to today said they have absolutely no tvs in their warehouse, none, except a 32 inch if I want it instead of my refund or my 65 inch. So not only am I out a 65 inch TV. I'm out 30 dollars, because they don't reimburse sales tax and they broke their own terms and conditions. They sold a faulty TV and I literally paid them for it. It's almost comical. Bad customer service, bad representative communication. Bad procedure, and very poor sticking to their own terms and conditions.
Hi Lauren. We set high standards for our products, and we’re sorry that they haven’t been met. We are glad we were able to refund the retailers sell price of the product and understand it can be frustrating when a replacement is not available. NEVER again will I buy Element and I will let the world know they shouldn't either.

I made the mistake of purchasing one 65 inch Element TV a little over a year ago and one 70 inch a couple months ago. Both TVs have given me several issues in the short time I’ve had them. The top have of the 65 inch would randomly get dark and faded and then after a few minutes go back to normal and then the 70 inch screen would flicker at times and then randomly restart or the sound would not work at times. I never called in about these issues because I could usually just turn the tv off and then back on or unplug it and then restart them to work.
Just today the 65 inch TV screen just went completely black even when it was turned on. I tried my regular troubleshooting steps and I still would not get any picture on the screen. I called elements customer service and the first person I talked to told me to try some troubleshooting steps and neither worked the customer said we could try one more step but before he could instruct the call dropped. I tried calling a second rep and informed them that I had already tried the first two steps and previously and they did not work.
The rep kept insisting that I try the first two steps again before telling me the 3rd trouble shooting method and I told I had already tried them and would like to just try the third option because I didn’t want to waste time doing something I already know would not work. The rep became very rude and just hung up. I was shocked. I called a third time and informed the next person what had happened before. She finally instructed me on the third option which of course did not work either and then immediately also hung up on me. I am not only disappointed with their product but extremely dissatisfied with the customer service I recieved. I will never order an element product again. Their TVs are not quality at all and do not last long and their customer service is atrocious. Extremely disappointed.
Hi Ray, sorry to hear the TVs are not working. We do partner with a US based repair service. Please chat with us at elementelectronics.com and we will try and help resolve both issues.

I get horizontal lines on the TV (top & bottom of screen) & not able to see the picture completely. I reached out to Element TV support team on (888-842-3577). They opened a case & tv is still under warranty period & updated claims team will reach out to me in 24 hour to 48 hours. It's almost more than 5 days. No one reached me out. I only called to customer service on daily basis to get my update. They updated me, "You will get update in 10 mins through email (as a update to the case)." But I did not received any update.
They will not give proper response to customer. I don't understand why customer has to call this many times to get support. I am very concerned that why I have chosen the element product. There are multiple products in the market where they better assist the customer if there is a problem. Even I have asked to transfer call to supervisor. They updated supervisor not logged in & updated my case to call me back. That never happened.

When I first got this TV I was a little bit sketchy about the price, but when I turned it on it was everything it promised. It had an astonishing 4K resolution and overall good image quality, but viewing angles were pretty disappointing. Speakers were fine. You won’t get a Samsung or LG image quality, but there’s a huge price difference between both. As of the Fire TV, at first glance it seemed OK, it’s pretty responsive, but had some trouble with some apps not working or crashing. Then I got to fix all of them just by updating the software.
The only thing I am concerned about is the Amazon support, because right now the latest Fire OS is 7, while my TV is still at Fire OS 5 which I'm OK with, but I’m concerned if in the future some apps will stop working or if my TV gets obsolete and left behind. My TV still gets updates but they’re still on OS 5 so there’s still a chance that it’ll get an OS 7 update from amazon. Overall, and for the price I paid, they’re very good TVs. Sometimes if there’s a software problem, an update will probably fix it, because out of the box it won’t update by itself, you have to manually update from settings. Tbh if you’re just looking for something cheap that works and looks fine, this is the option for you.

I purchased a 32" Element ROKU TV to replace my 24" early generation LCD TV. After going through the set-up, it refused to access my satellite box using HDMI, or AV connections. Talked with their "customer support" and after 1 hour of various set-up configurations, still would not access my satellite. Returned TV to retailer for refund. FYI - I purchased an ONN ROKU TV and encountered the same problem. Contacted "support" via Chat and I was connected to the same person that I had on Chat with the Element TV. I also purchased a TCL ROKU TV and same thing. Same with support. I'm convinced one company is producing TVs and putting various names on them to make them "different" but they are all the same. I would not recommend any inexpensive TVs if you have satellite or cable.

My Element TV is the only electronic in my entire home that I have any issues with at all regarding Wi-Fi. None of my other electronics have any issue at all with obtaining and maintaining a connection to the internet except for my stinking Element TV!! This is a daily occurrence. I am so fed up with this element TV that I am literally boiling mad right now. I am so fed up with it constantly losing internet connection and missing shows or having to restart or reconnect or or or over and over and over again!! I cannot believe I am actually forced to give it even one star when this deserves -5 easily. Save your money and buy any other product. Not to mention your sanity.

Do not buy. I bought the 50-inch Element Fire TV edition TV. Immediately after purchasing it I was having issues with a popping noise coming from the headphone jack when the TV was powered on and off or went into sleep mode. I brought this up to Element about the back-and-forth to Amazon never got resolved. This was a minor issue that I could work around. About 14 months after owning the TV started having more serious issues, the TV would intermittently have a blue screen I would have to power cycle the TV or do a factory reset, then the TV started having issues with lines across the bottom, these did not go away. All the long I'm calling element for support but not receiving any. Finally the TV died altogether 18 months after owning.
I called Amazon. I've called element, both companies offer no support. Element stuck by their claim of the products only warranted for 12 months, and that they could not stand by the reliability of electronic items. I was shocked to hear them say that they cannot stand by a product they sell because of the electronic item. It was obvious that I'm talking to call-center overseas who's reading off a script.
Element support provides no support whatsoever, the open tickets. They don't return calls when they tell you they will, escalations go nowhere. I asked what should I be able to reasonably expect as far as life expectancy for their product. It was rated at 5000 hours. I only use the TV for a total of 960 hours. 18 months and I have to throw the television away. They attempted to send me to You Fix It to get me off the telephone, I spoke to you fix it. They told me that the TV cannot be repaired because element does not provide repair parts. I then spoke with the TV repair person, the same story. So in closing element cells a disposable TV that lasts no more than 18 months, they provide no support, their explanation is they only offer 12 months warranty which apparently is their expected lifespan of the television. Stay far away from element products. I literally bought a TV that only lasts for 18 months of light usage.

I purchased a 65 in smart tv by element and within a month it just stopped powering on. I called Customer service and they literally had me unplug the unit and plug it back in and when it did not work they said it needed to be replaced and the entire process would take no more than 10 days. Then came hell.... they wanted the tv recycled and a receipt which apparently you have to pay for that and find a place that will give you a receipt due to laws they don't issue them then once all of that is done take pics of the tv being recycled and the receipt and send it in and it will be forwarded to a million different departments before issuing a check then they mail it all snail mail and upon receipt it was not the correct amount....
Needless to say a month and a half later I still have no tv and no full reimbursement of the money spent.... and the only answers I can get from the company are the same generic generated responses that are read off a piece of paper each and every time.... add I the horror of 3rd floor apt and I'm dealing with cancer treatment, sick and still screwed out of part of my money to even purchase a new one. .. ugh.

Some years ago, I purchased an Element 23" TV (at Walmart, on a Black Friday sale) for use as a dedicated computer monitor. That TV has been great. I'm still using it as I write this review. When I turn off the computer, the TV turns off after a little bit (it should be instantaneous, like regular computer monitors, but this is a very minor issue). I've never used it for regular television, nor have I ever connected a DVD or Blu-Ray player to this TV, so I cannot speak to that experience.
On Black Friday in 2018, at Walmart, I purchased another Element TV, this time a 39" class "smart" TV, but it isn't that smart. Yes, it has several streaming services built in, and yes, it can connect to the internet, but it is missing a number of features that I would expect a smart TV to have. Let's start with a feature called "HDMI-CEC" -- this allows other devices to turn the TV on or off via the HDMI port. Power up your Blu-Ray player and have the TV come on, for instance, or use Google-home (or Google Nest) products, and control the TV via your smart-home device. OK, I realize that this doesn't apply to everybody who wants to make a purchase, so here are some other issues as well: The remote lacks a sleep button.
The remote for the 23" TV mentioned above has one, and it even works with this TV, but this TV's own remote lacks that button. One has to dig several layers deep into the menus in order to activate the sleep function with this TV's own remote. That's just silly. Especially with a so-called "smart" TV. Another issue concerns lag when the TV is turned on. The remote simply won't do anything for the first minute or so the TV is on. Best guess is that the TV is still booting, but if it came on with the volume too loud, or on the wrong input, the user just gets to wait a bit before the remote will do anything. This is also silly.

I bought a Element about 6 years ago, I never had a problem with it until the picture went out after 5 years of heavy use. I loved the tv. So we decided to get another one. Again, great tv, until the picture went out after 5 months...I submitted a claim to their support and sent pictures. Immediately their response was "physical damage, case closed, void warranty". No questions, didn't ask me what happened, just immediately blamed it on me. So I contacted them through chat and was told I would be contacted within 24 hours. 2 days later no word so I contacted them again. Same thing. I emailed them, asked for a phone number. Still no answer or contact from anyone.
Finally after about 2 weeks I found their phone number and called. They continued to tell me it was physical damage even though I explained over and over that there was no way physical damage occurred in the middle of the night while everyone was in bed. So they decided to let me file a claim and told me I need to take the tv to a electronic recycling place and send them a copy of the receipt and I have 30 days to do so. Today I get an email (6 days after I'm told I have 30 days) "Strike 1" " due to inactivity in non-compliance, your case has been archived". WTF!?! How are they going to give me 30 days then after 6 tell me "nope, not so much"
I am so beyond frustrated! I am disabled with 2 children and going to college full time. On top of that, the recycling fee is $25, I don't have $25 to spend atm. I can't just grab a 50" up and run it 15 miles away whenever I want. I have to find the time and someone to help. Called their support multiple times in that 2 years since we purchased this TV the Amazon Prime channels often not have any option to watch or rent.
