Had warranty issues after 4 months, edge failure, got on the WARRANTY website and they charged my card 4K instead of tax and delivery, will take two business days to correct, then said unless I buy an approved base, the new mattress warranty won’t be good, mind you my base is only a few years old and cost 1800. So if I want the warranty on a mattress that failed me in 4 months I have to buy their base, extortion if you ask me, crooked company. Bad mattress but I’m forced to get their product, even though I bought it at Mattress Firm, who states they give in store credit.

This is my second Tempurpedic and while the first one years ago was decent though did not help my wife's back much the current one is a different story and we had to add a topper for my wife to be able to sleep on it and get in and out of the bed. There were also issues with the remote and a few other minor issues early on that were taken care of. Last night I started the massage unit on the bed at app 11 PM and woke up around 1 AM and noticed the massage was still running. (It is supposed to automatically shut off after 30 minutes.) There was a strong acrid (chemical) smoke and I traced it to the massage unit under my mattress. I tried to shut it off, but it would not shut off. I unplugged it and waited then plugged it back in. It immediately started back up. I unplugged it again (but this means no functions work on the bed now).

I reached under the bed and touched the control box for the massage and it was so hot it burned my finger tips. I could feel the material around it was crispy. I attempted to contact TempurPedic and got recordings and instructions to file a warranty, yet there is no way to really do this easily. They want a picture of your initial receipt. Then they want you to strip the bed (difficult when you cannot move the mattress up) and take a picture of the whole mattress showing the issue (the issue is under the base), then a picture of the mattress with a broom stick, then remove the mattresses and take a picture of the base. Then a picture of the Law Tag. None of this has anything to do with the issue I had. Currently I am still waiting for a response.

I started out with a different brand mattress. That one didn't work out (although it is was better than what I have now Tempur-Pedic Adapt Pro Firm). I could not return it... Tempur-Pedic company kept sending me these scripted emails telling to do this or do that. Nothing worked. So then they suggested I purchase a topper. I didn't know they had a no return policy on that. They sent me a 3" but I wanted either a 1 1/2 or 2' topper. can't return it. Then the last guy I emailed suggested "I've attached our return policy, which states that personal items such as toppers, pillows, and sheets are non-returnable. If you end up not liking them, you may discard them using your own discretion or donate them to a local charity. Let me know if you have any other questions." Then suggested I learn how to sleep in a different position, I am a side and stomach sleeper.

I can't sleep on my back due to breathing issues. So I guess I need to learn how to sleep upside down and on my head. So... 4000.00 plus the price of the topper out the window with just a suggestion to donate it to charity. Some company representation. I will never buy anything that says Tempur-Pedic on it again. And If I could give negative stars... It would be -3.

I got the air bladder mattress, I thought it was a good buy, but the downside is the bladder fails before the warranty’s up and they will fight you like an insurance company not to honor their bed. I bought the mattress and bed at the same time, I even had to pre-order, 8 years later I filed a claim. They said, "Your foundation is no good, and you have to have a receipt." The wording for warranty shady words they use like RECOMMEND instead of required and SHOULD instead of shall, the authorized dealers let me buy the foundation knowing it would void warranty, lol ridiculous. Do better.

Should authorized dealers let customers buy wrong base should they explain more on the catch clauses of the warranty? After a customer spends over 3-5k on a bed maybe the dealer would take 2 minutes to help explain the catch clauses of warranty? Overall, great bed but cheap internal pieces as well as it was put together poorly, the part that failed actually was made to put force on failing part, I can see just by looking at it and laughed because you can see the pressure/angle forcing it apart and you just know it would fail over time.

I’ve been dealing with chronic lower back pain for quite some time, even after years of trying alternative care methods. I’d been sleeping on the same mattress for 15 years and thought it might be time to replace it in hopes of resolving my back pain. After researching extensively and testing various firmness levels in-store, we decided to invest in a king-size Tempur-ProAdapt Medium Hybrid Mattress. Unfortunately, after just two months, it became clear that the medium hybrid mattress was a bit on the soft size for us and did not help alleviate my back pain.

Still believing in Tempur-Pedic’s reputation and reviews, we opted to exchange the mattress instead of requesting a refund. Based on customer service advice to go back and test in-store, we upgraded to the Medium model, which was the next firmness level up. We were aware that the exchange was a final sale, but we felt confident in our decision after briefly testing the mattress in-store. However, the challenge with mattress shopping is that spending a few minutes lying on a mattress in the store doesn’t compare to sleeping on it for 2-3 months. Unfortunately, after nearly two months of sleeping on the Medium model, it softened considerably and began to feel similar to the Medium Hybrid we’d just exchanged. My back pain continues to persist.

Desperate for relief, I decided to try sleeping on a thin mat on the carpet floor in our bedroom. Amazingly, after just two days, I noticed significant relief in my back pain. I continued sleeping on the floor for several days and felt much better. Curious, I went back to sleeping on the Tempur-Pedic mattress, but within two days, my back pain returned. This has led me to believe that I need a much firmer mattress. Unfortunately, since the exchange was a final sale and the mattress was a significant investment, I now feel stuck with a Tempur-Pedic Medium mattress that isn’t working for me. I’m sharing my experience in hopes of getting feedback from others who may have had similar issues. Are there any alternative solutions, or does anyone have recommendations for those of us who need extra firm mattresses? I’d greatly appreciate any advice.

With an upcoming surgery we decided a Tempur-Pedic adjustable bed would be perfect. We chose soft with the cooling top. I wish I could throw it in the trash. It NEVER got soft so it feels like I am sleeping on a cement floor. This was purchased spring/summer 2024. I now have soooo many body aches and cannot sleep at all often going into the guest bedroom. We got all the bells and whistles. It has the smart track AI app. Remote to adjust. Lights. But the mattress is the hardest soft bed I have EVER been on. We have ordered a topper hoping it will help. If you like cement firmness then it appears soft will work too. REGRET.

Hi, having had my very expensive Tempur-Pedic bed for about 7-8 years I have to swear it's the worst bed I've ever been in! The worst. If you are thinking of a Tempur-Pedic, don't! Save your money and go conventional! It will literally save your back and bank. The first problem is, you can't flip them. There's only one side! I found the bed to get too hot, and the memory foam lost its "memory"! So, it didn't take long before we had to sleep it whole night after night because the bed lost its memory while we lost our much-needed sleep.

After receiving the mattress and sleeping on it for 4 nights I decided it was too hard and I wanted to exchange for the softer version. I was told by Tempur Pedic that the mattress was on final sale and can’t be returned or exchanged. I did not see this message anywhere when purchasing. I only knew it was a Black Friday deal. I’m willing to pay any exchange fee or difference in cost for l a new mattress. I told tempur pedic I will pay any fees to get the mattress that we want. They said no and are not willing to work with me. It is a $3,900 mattress that I can’t sleep on. Please help make this right.

TEMPUR-LUXE breeze° 2019 13" Soft Mattress. Was told it would help my lower back pain and I went with the firm version to avoid any soft spots. I've had it for 3 1/2 years. It started to sag in the middle on year 3 and I just filed the claim. First was rejected because of the stain. I had spill water on it when I took the photo. Resend photo without the wet spot. Rejected need to show at lease a 3/4in indention. Was told to take a photo with a quarter next to a straight bar to show how deep the indention was. These bed have memory foam that covers the supporting mattress. A quarter does not have enough weight to show anything. This is a very unfair way of determine a indention into a foam top mattress.

Retook the photo of the other side that has a 1/2-1in dip. Memory foam covered beds that have supporting material underneath it will hid the indentations when you get up. Soft Top does the same thing. A company that tries to prevent warranty claims based on the indentations in foam is denying their customers rights for a product to withstand normal usage. I've had Serta in the past and they honor their warranty without any issues. Though I was getting more for pay twice as much and have learned my lesson to research warranty issues first before buying for any company in the future.

I purchased a California split king cloud breeze luxe Tempur-pedic in 2018 directly from Tempur-pedic. Since then it has been an amazing mattress, so I thought… after having Covid recently I decided to take the removable cover off the top of my mattress so I could clean and sanitize it. What I found inside was horrific!!! My husband I always sleep with the tempur-pedic mattress protector on as well as sheets and linens at all times. The mattresses both appeared to have dry rotted inside the protector and cracked and was literally falling apart.

Knowing that the life expectancy of these mattresses is 10 years and that it was still under warranty. I reached out to Tempur-pedic. I sent them the requested photos on their warranty portal and had copies of my receipts. They replied by saying that the mattress was just stained from me not caring for it properly and refused a replacement! I tried to send additional photos and videos to show that the mattress protector was on the bed and always has been and that we very much so take care of our property. Only to have my emails, returned that the customer service had denied my claim and then blocked me!!!

They were not interested in asking any additional questions or allowing me to provide any additional evidence that I did not misuse my mattress. These things are way too expensive to have it literally start disintegrating, which is what it did. I do live in Florida, where it is humid. However, the mattress has always stayed inside. My master bedroom with central heat and air, further nothing else in my house has ever been damaged like this. This is a defect in this mattress, and I refuse to accept that it was something I did.

It’s unacceptable that I, as the consumer, have to bear the shipping costs for a faulty product. Tried to get bad motor replaced (simple 4 screws hold it on) but was told we'd have to pay for the part plus shipping and the warranty would then be void. I made an order for a mattress, pillows, and a 5" foundation on July 7th. July 8th I called them to request a change in the order to a 2" foundation. They charged me $175 to make that change. The delivery date was set for Saturday, August 10th. The delivery people showed up with the mattress and pillows but they only had the options of a 5" or a 9" foundation on the truck, neither of which were what I needed or paid for to exchange in the order so they were not taken off of the truck and the delivery guys made note of that for me. It was not their fault.

So then I had to call and contact customer service again to request that they please deliver the correct 2" foundation that failed to be delivered. I also requested that they refund me the $175, they charged me since the exchange was apparently not made. I have waited 3 months for this foundation only to have them tell me that I have to receive it on a Wednesday or a Friday, no other option and would not accommodate me to deliver on Saturday again.

I am a single mom that works full time and can not afford to take a day off work to fix this delivery issue that is Tempur-Pedic's fault. I tried to email several times to no avail so I used a rare 15-minute break at work to call customer service and asked to speak to a supervisor. The lady on the phone claimed that she was a supervisor and that there was nothing they could do for me. My only choice was to lose income in order to get my foundation. So, I told her to refund me the money and I will never use Tempur-Pedic again. What a horrible disgrace of "customer service." I have been without a foundation and waiting all of this time for y'all to remedy your mistake and you refused to do it. She dared to put the blame on me for making the original order for a 5". Very rude and rigid and wrong.

Somewhere in between the first few months of purchasing, we experienced mechanical issues. We assume it is something with the cables, whoever installed the base left the wires all over the place making it very difficult for our floors to be cleaned.

However, my partner and I have followed the manual book several times to make sure everything is connected and it is a HEADACHE dealing with all the cables and going under the bed. We called for support and they are charging $150 to get a person to check out the base and who knows how much else they will charge to repair. DO NOT BUY FROM TEMPUR-PEDIC!!! This company is dishonest, unethical and misrepresents their products! After two years, my Tempur-Pedic "firm" mattress began to sag. Soon, all the "firmness" was gone. This company is impossible to deal with. Even when you're honestly trying to explain a problem, they know every trick in the book for turning your complaint around, and then, blame you for any problems with their defective products.

The company is all geared up to protect themselves from spending a nickel on returns or cancelations. Five years ago, I bought a Luxe-Breeze mattress which lost all support after 3 years. I spent thousands of dollars on chiropractors and doctors because of the $4,000 Luxe-Breeze mattress. After threatening a lawsuit including reimbursement of my doctor bills, they finally replaced my $4,000 Luxe-Breeze (first edition) with a firm Adapt King model that sold for $2,200 at the time.

I didn't mind losing the $1800 differential between the two beds, as long as the mattress was truly firm. For two years this mattress retained its firmness, but now it sags just like the last one and offers no back support. It's at the point where I have to sleep with a back brace. So, last week my wife noticed that Tempur-Pedic offers a "hard/firm platform." So, I called and their salesperson assured me that this "charcoal platform" would restore my bed to its original firmness.

So, for $545 I agreed to buy it due to the convincing representations of this salesperson. However, after a couple of days, something didn't feel right about the salesperson's claims. So I called our local mattress store today and asked whether a "charcoal firm platform" restores the firmness of a mattress. He immediately burst out laughing and said, "Man, did you get conned." He told me the platform I ordered was the SAME EXACT platform I have now. I couldn't believe it. Especially, after believing the salesperson and her claim about restoring the firmness to its original condition. So, I immediately called Tempur-Pedic and canceled my order - (4) days in advance. They reluctantly agreed to cancel the order, but had the gall to tell me I still owe them a $175 cancelation fee.

Next, I spoke to an unsympathetic agent in their "escalation team" who listened to the tape of the original conversation with my salesperson. After listening to the tape, she had the nerve to say that I "led the conversation" and the salesperson did nothing wrong. Okay - if asking questions means I "led the conversation" - yes, I did. However, the salesperson lied to me about the benefits of the platform by absolutely assuring me that the bed would no longer sag. Incredibly, this salesperson was selling me the same exact platform I already own! I've canceled my Amex payment and this company will never get a dime from me. However, they will be hearing from the Kentucky Attorney General's office, the FTC and my attorney about deceptive sales practices.
