Basically writing this to help any current/future owners. If you get the 'Pre-installed Sleeptracker' with both bases and connect into the SleepTracker Smart Cable on the right base you'll get a 'MISSING CONTROL BOX' error. To get around this and hopefully save yourself a headache: Simply remove/disconnect the SleepTracker Smart Processor and SleepTracker Smart Cable. Then plug the Battery Backup Box into the splitter where the SleepTracker Smart Cable used to be plugged in.
If you're in the App looking at the base setup, scroll to the very bottom and follow the 'Self-Installed Sleeptracker' instructions as the additional Processor/Cable are not in the image. Once it was setup that way the verification passed. Whew!! If you hit other issues I think referring to the last image will still get you there. Now that I've gotten everything working I think the frame is fine. 3-stars for satisfied.

We have been a Tempur-pedic household for almost 20 years. We recently had a 9 year old tempur-pedic king mattress with a double adjustable base with massage. The motors have all burned out over the last two years so we decided to replace the base (July 2022, 4 months ago) with the newest model Tempur-Ergo smart base. They shipped us one king size base instead of the previous 2 twins. The king base has only one “U-bar” at the foot of the base to keep the mattress in place when you raise the head, instead of the two that the double twin bases have. This is a complete design flaw as one “U-bar” does not properly hold a king size bed in place. The mattress slides down, creating a large gap above the raised head and headboard where pillows then fall in the gap to the ground. Tempur-pedic will not swap or exchange the 4 month old base and will not do anything to prevent this from occurring.
We’ve never had these issues previously and we’ve explained this many times to both Mattress Firm where we purchased it as well as Tempur-pedic directly. We also recently purchased a new bed and base for a family member for 6500 and still will not do anything. They have lost several life long customers forever as their customer satisfaction has completely gone downhill.

I received the Split King Ergo Smart Twin XL bases and set them up based on the Split Base installation on a Friday evening. Connecting the bases together, as required to allow the Sleeptracker-AI processor to work, fails with the message "MISSING CONTROL BOX". After calling Tempur-Pedic and being put on hold for over an hour; I was transferred to the company that makes the controllers for their beds vs. them helping me. I ended up having to call back the following day since they closed and wait again for a service tech to answer.
Once I finally connected to a Sleeptracker tech I was told to connect the bases up differently from the instructions by bypassing one of their "SMART CABLES", basically a router in all other technical applications. Neither way worked so I was deferred to the Sleeptracker second tier support Matthew, that appears to be the only second tier support person since there's no one else to respond while he's out. He sent me an email with instructions and images explaining how to connect the bases that was identical to the instructions the previous tech told me.
I also tried looking online for anyone that had the same experience with split bases but couldn't find many post for the split base configuration. I did find a few YouTube posts that explained connecting the bases together but none that attempted to setup the bases in the Sleeptracker-AI application that completes the setup to allow the bases to move independently.
There were emails back and forth with Matthew explaining and illustrating the setup and connections before he finally agreed that it doesn't work but blamed it on a bad "SMART CABLE". Fortunately; each base has a duplicate Smart Cables so I was able to take the one from the second base and connect the bases up; however, that one didn't work as well and he also blamed it on another bad Smart Cable. He was going to send out a Smart Cable that he had in his office but was going to take time to get it and I had already reported the issue to the company that sold the bases to me and they were already sending out two brand new bases.
I received the two NEW bases the following Tuesday and had the installers try to connect and setup the bases but it failed with the same EXACT issue as the other two bases. We ended up calling the installation tech support that could only defer the issue back to Tempur-Pedic that in-turn defers it back to Sleeptracker. I once again contacted the Sleeptracker technician Matthew that AGAIN told me it was a hardware issue with the Smart Cable. At this point I have tried FOUR Smart Cables and NONE of them worked. There are only one of two scenarios for the issue; #1 - The Smart Cables have drastic design issues and are prone to failure or don't work with split bases at all or #2 - I'm the unluckiest customer to receive not one, two, or even three bad Smart Cables but all four of the ones I received, BRAND NEW, were defective.
Matthew from Sleeptracker and one of their sales reps tried contacting me to send a new Smart Cable and also have a technician, a TV repair man that doesn't even sell beds or ANY furniture, to come out and install the new Smart Cable. My issue with them telling me they had a new Smart Cable was in the body of the initial email indicating that the new Smart Cable was one that Matthew had tested and "UPDATED" to ensure it worked. At NO point did they ever acknowledge they had issues with their Smart Cables or accept that they don't work in the current configuration. I had to go through multiple calls and emails just for them to offer to send a Smart Cable that they know doesn't work in the split base configuration and not notify the suppliers...
All I asked was for them to be upfront and honest about their product and admit that it doesn't work with the split base configuration but they insist that I just received defective parts. Keep in mind that these bases cost in excess of $3,500 dollars without the mattress while the competitor, Sleep Number, is selling their comparable i8 smart bed and base that actually has more functionality than Tempur-Pedic at a lower price. Unfortunately; I had already received the mattress and it's not returnable so I'm stuck with finding bases that will work with their mattress. The only reason I was able to return and swap out the bases was because NO ONE from the supplier or their service technician could fix the issue since they already tried FOUR brand new bases.
I did a number of different scenarios on their setup configurations and found that the PRIMARY port on ALL of the Smart Cables don't work so the Twin XL bases aren't able to be setup in a single base configuration let alone a split king configuration. I was able to fool the base by connecting the command box to the secondary port on the Smart Cable that allows it to work independently; however, this will not work in a split base configuration since the sensors for each base will pick up sound from the other base and cause it to move as well.
Anyone attempting to sell you one in the stores will show you the bases working independently with the wireless remote but they will NOT show you with them working in the Sleeptracker application because they don't have them setup in the app. The whole purpose of the SMART base is to automatically adjust the bed when it detects snoring or comfort when using the "Extend" model that cost over $4,600 just for the twin bases.
Since NONE of their products are returnable I would HIGHLY recommend a FULL demonstration of them setting up the bases working with the Sleeptracker APP and make sure they are fully installed and FULLY functional with the app when you receive them! If at any time anyone needs to verify any of the information I've provided I can be contacted at **.

After several phone calls they said is on back order and will be shipped in December 20th. That too never happened, finally when I called last week the the Customer Service representative was so rude and said they no longer have this. She say go and order from Amazon or Ebay, I said this was under warranty why would you not buy and from them and send to us. She rudely hanged up on me. The worst Customer service. A subcontractor repaired the vibrating but not the lifting feature of my mattress. I asked him he didn’t install the new control box. He said I didn’t need it. The lifting stopped working a couple minutes after he left. I called the subcontractor and TempurSealy. He wouldn’t return my call. I set up another appointment. He didn’t show. TempurSealy said I would need to call him again before they’d reschedule a missed appointment. I set up a third appointment and he cancelled through Tempurpedic with the demand I get the device professionally cleaned before he would return. Essentially, he pocketed the device in hopes he could resell it without my complaining.
A very insulting and unnecessary email on August 9, 2021, informing me I would need to professionally clean the control box was totally unnecessary and very unprofessional. TempurSealy should find a new repair service so it is not complicit in future theft. They can mail a new control box rather than entirely neglect their duty.

Couple of years ago, in 2017, I purchased two of these mattresses from Ashley Home Furniture store in Louisville KY. Although the mattresses have both held up, the pain it has caused myself, my mother, and my husband has been horrible. We all have back pain, along with hip joint pain. I personally never had that before sleeping on this mattress beforehand. My husband and mother only got worse. I spent well over 11,000 on both mattresses. Very Very disappointed!! I opted to buy Tempur-Pedic because I wanted to help my mother and husband with their joint pain. NOW I AM SUFFERING from it. I never write negative reviews, but if I could help someone else from spending this kind of money, and preventing them from having joint pain, I am willing to do so.

We bought a king split adjustable bed and base to try because I have multiple sclerosis and we thought it would be a wise investment for years to come. After sleeping on this mattress and base for 2 weeks we are very uncomfortable and they are telling us we cannot exchange or return the base AT ALL!! The bed separates during the night, sheet slip offs, you can feel every move your partner makes, the bed is hot and causes you to sweat! MS and heat sensitivity are a problem, continuously wake trying to adjust to a comfortable level, I even fell off the bed in the night. Now that I want to exchange the mattress and base for a regular they are telling me I have to keep the base. There is no return! How are you suppose to try a split king adjustable bed without a base? RIP OFFS!! Save yourself the trouble and high expense. I will never buy Tempur Pedic in my life ever again!

Went to the TempurPedic store and looked at the ease adjustable base. Representative told us we had 90 days to trial all products. We have had the base for close to 3 months and strongly dislike it. It is low quality and shakes a ton when there is any shifting in the bed- keeping both me and my husband up at night. When we called to return the base customer service said no returns. We explained how we were misinformed in the store and we were told not their problem. No return policy stands. I would never purchase or recommend another TempurPedic product in my life based on this experience alone.

We recently purchased a split king Tempur-Pedic ProBreeze Medium Hybrid mattresses with adjustable foundation (also split) $8,900 from Ashley Homestore. Salesman led us to believe that we had to try it for 30 days minimum with up to 90 days to return it. ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. First the foundation is non returnable under any circumstances - you own it. The mattresses (twins to make the split king) can ONLY BE EXCHANGED one time within the 90 day period. They accept no returns under any circumstances.
We are very uncomfortable on the mattresses, don't use the foundation controls or adjustments, don't need or use the massage function of the foundation. It's all a waste. My wife and I are retired and on fixed income. However, we now own the mattresses and foundations and must make payments on the Ashley Synchrony Bank credit card to the tune of $8,900. A reputable company would take returns within a reasonable time frame and make it right. My feeling is that Tempur-Pedic and Ashley Homestore's are both out to scam the customer. Watch out and BUYER BEWARE.

Like many other reviews I have read here, I began waking up with low back/hip pain every morning with my one year old high end Tempur-Pedic mattress. I just spent a week on a mediocre hotel bed and I was pain free every morning. Although the discomfort goes away as the day progresses, I am concerned about long term effects. Will complain now to tempur-pedic but don't expect anything to happen. I'm out nearly $4K... I hope people read this--I wish I had seen these reviews before I bought this overpriced garbage.

I am beyond thrilled with my split king Tempur-Pedic adjustable bed. We have 4 memory settings to adjust the bed to favorite positions or infinite adjustments with the up and down buttons. We have owned it for 8 years. I am baffled when reading other reviews about Tempur-Pedic power and adjustable beds on this website. Tempur-Pedic has a 90 day sleep guarantee on the mattress so if someone didn’t like it after a month or caused them physical problems after 2 1/2 months, they just call the store or the manufacturer if purchased online and either trade for a different model or return the mattress less a $300 charge for the mattress to be destroyed. (Maybe I just had a much better salesperson or I asked more questions before my purchase).
And if your power base gives you problems, email or call the manufacturer. The store is supposed to help with a manufacturer's warranty but if they don’t do their job, call Tempur-Pedic! If my Denali wouldn’t run and was still under warranty and the dealer didn’t know how to fix it, I wouldn’t say, "Oh well, it can’t be fixed." I would call General Motors.
I did have a couple issues, one created by my forgetfulness - you can put batteries in the black box under the bed in event of power outage... The bed will operate to lift or go flat once or twice. So I forgot about the batteries for about 5 years. Then one side of the bed quit operating because the batteries corroded. I tried cleaning with a q-tip and alcohol, then a pencil eraser, and finally I used super glue to glue a tiny piece of 300 grit sandpaper to a pencil eraser to clean the corrosion off the contacts deep inside the black box. Resynched the power and it worked fine.
The other issue was choosing the split king. We loved it initially and debated long and hard before choosing to buy what is truly 2 beds sitting side by side. We mostly enjoyed it that way for a couple years but when my husband's acid reflux erosions had finally healed, we knew we wanted to feel like we were in one bed again. So, I purchased a full encasement mattress protector for a king and zipped the two mattresses together - then did the process to make the two power deals to work together - like a one piece king does and we were fixed up. The mattress protector squished the line of where the two mattresses meet together so now we don’t feel it and it keeps the mattresses from shifting separately. When it’s time to buy our next mattress - for sure a Tempur-Pedic, we will just buy a king mattress for our power bases.
I was also baffled by people who wrote about a defect that they took so long to come out and look at... I had a friend with a defect. Tempur-Pedic doesn’t send someone. They dealt with her by email and had her send pictures. And they replaced a mattress that she thinks had been ruined because her husband insisted on a heated mattress protector turned on hours before bedtime. So again, if I had any problems with my bed, I would do what my warranty papers say to do, and contact Tempur-Pedic directly. I hope this info helps someone else so they don’t end up frustrated instead of contacting the right person to fix it.

I had a Tempur-Pedic bed from 2005 that failed in 2015. The bed had a 20 year warranty. They replaced the bed but I upgraded to a Tempur-Contour $3,399 + $1,899 from my other defective bed. The bed is a automatic which is fine. The bed is dangerous if only one person sleeps in the bed as I do. The weight on the pillow top goes to that side eventually causing you to fall out of the bed and in my case break 2 ribs. The mattress pillow top on the bed is not fixed and the mattress pillow top over time moves to the side of the bed that is used. The other side of the bed if not used has a separation of the pillow top mattress from the mattress in excess of 4". The bed is a queen but sleeps smaller due to the mattress pillow top moving to one side or the other and has a rough feel to the edge of the bed giving you a false sense of security in my case I believed it all contributed to my injuries.
Looking for a attorney to represent this Viet Nam Vet and punish this terrible company. Over time I found myself sleeping closer to the edge where it felt secure not realizing that the firmness I feel is the edge. The mattress pillow top finally moved past the edge over 4" causing me to fall out of bed and break two ribs. I am actively looking for legal representation to put this company out of business for selling a dangerous adjustable bed with a defective mattress pillow top and God knows what else I hear about off gassing.

We purchased Tempur-Pedic adjustable bed frames two years ago with adjustable Sealy mattresses since we didn't like the Tempur-Pedic mattresses. Shortly after this we experienced problems with our internet signal. After months of investigation (after switching internet companies), we discovered that our bed frames emit a wifi signal. We were advised not to use the electronic part of the bed because of the well-known safety of this device possibly affecting the brain. So we disconnected the beds from the wall outlet, and then went to manually plugging this in when we need it and when we don't. What I have noticed is that when I inadvertently leave the bed plugged in, the entire bed gets hot as the mattress heats up due to contact with the wireless device. I'm wondering if there are any reports on safety of these bed frames.

We bought the top of the line dual adjustable beds. My husband had back trouble and we decided to splurge. Splurge, like the cost of a car. The 2 mattresses separate and there is no way to sleep in the middle. So we're sleeping in separate beds basically. We were just coping but my migraines have increased to a point of almost nonfunctional. I have spend so much money and time on doctors, specialist, getting house and vents cleaned, hospital visits and have lost enjoyment of so many events. I did notice when I traveled my headaches went away, but I related it to stress.
However, I recently realized it is the bed. My husband stopped sleeping in there and has been in the guest room with me. His "allergies and sinuses" that have been constant, have also cleared. We had also related it to other things and fought it for years. We have considered options all the way from just tossing, hiring a lawyer to get our money back, getting it tested, to selling or donating it (which in good consciousness I can't).

Very easy to use!! Wireless remote is a plus. Adjustable positions for the head and feet of the bed. Memory foam is absolutely amazing. This bed is the most comfortable. If my husband is snoring, I just adjust his side of the bed so he doesn't anymore. For the price I pay for the bed I am underwhelmed by some parts of the warranty and the hoops you have to jump through in order to get things done. It shouldn't be that difficult. It isn't that difficult when they are taking my money to buy it. With that said, I am happy they offer somewhat of a warranty for the actual adjustable bed. It's certain other things that could be longer as well.
I have had an issue before and I was very displeased with the customer service department. I found them to be extremely rude and unhelpful. It was almost like they didn't believe there was an issue. They actually told me there was "no issue." I'm like..."THERE'S AN ISSUE!!" Finally took getting multiple people involved and going up the latter to be solved. I do feel like it's a good value for the most part. It changed my life. I sleep so much better now and so does my husband. For the comfort and flexibility it gives us, I would pay it all over again.
