Mattress Warehouse was first opened in 1989 in Maryland. Our first full-time salesman for Mattress Warehouse is still with the company and has since been promoted to district manager! The first Mattress Warehouse store was a mere 1200 square foot area, and the first warehouse was simply a self-storage locker located in Frederick, MD. We have now grown to over 150 locations, and are well on our way to becoming the largest sleep chain in the industry. We are even able to offer customers the convenience of buying a mattress set, sleep accessories, and furniture-related items through our online store. The staff was very accommodating, showed me numerous types of bed and let me try out each one until I found one. I was satisfied with very personable, very honest and was so helpful. Unlike any other person in retail took the time to be patient. I’m 60 years old and most people just want to sell me something to sell it. This worker Miss Shelly ** Took the time to make me feel like I was important.

Please avoid this business at all cost. We order a mattress a few months ago, and it was never shipped out and they wouldn’t let me cancel for the longest time. Finally, they canceled it last month but never updated me. I called in again today. They told me they canceled it and they didn’t even process the refund until today. What a scam. No wonder they have more negative reviews and good.

Highly recommend Mattress Warehouse store in Belmar, NJ. Salesperson was extremely knowledgeable & helpful. No pressure. No hurry. Helped us pick out a great mattress at a great price. He arranged delivery the next day. Delivery guys were also excellent.

I recently purchased a Sealy firm mattress from Mattress Warehouse’s website, and it has turned into a nightmare. The night after delivery, I found a bug that looked like a bedbug directly on the mattress. I have never seen this type of insect in my home before, and it was right there on the brand-new mattress. This raises serious concerns about the cleanliness, storage, and shipping practices involved. There were multiple red flags: The plastic wrapping had two large holes, leaving the mattress exposed and vulnerable to pests. Customer service insisted the mattress was sealed at the manufacturer, but mine clearly wasn’t sealed properly when it arrived. The handling and storage of the product appeared negligent and unprofessional. Also, their online sales person is very rude too.
This situation has caused me significant stress, as bedbugs are a serious issue that can quickly spread and require costly treatment. I strongly suspect the mattress was compromised before it arrived at my home. ⚠️ Avoid Mattress Warehouse. This was a terrible experience—from product quality to customer service. I expected better from a company that sells essential items for the home. Also, I want to write a review on their website and email online sales person to send a link but never replied. Could someone let me know if there is other places I can complain it?

I visited Mattress Warehouse in Lansdale: I was dreading the experience, expecting it to be like scratching nails on a chalkboard, but I was so very pleasantly surprised. Paul was super helpful and very patient, answering all questions and really helped us select a fabulous mattress. After a week, we love our new mattress! And the delivery service was beyond exceptional. They arrived within minutes of projected time and the setup was excellent. Thanks to Paul for handling every detail! I will definitely recommend to family and friends.

Stay away from company, very unprofessional. I purchased a $1000 mattress online and someone named Abi emailed me saying they don't ship Serta to my area, even though it was in all my contact info. when ordered. He tried to sell me something else, sounds to me a bait and switch. The same day I cancelled order, then a few days later they charged credit card. I called a very unconcerned customer service telling me I had to wait 10-12 days for credit reimbursement.

Purchased a Tempur-Pedic bed and adjustable base with a 10 year extended warranty in 2019. The base in zero gravity stopped working in Dec. 2024. It’s now June 5, 2025 and we finally had delivery set up today for the new base only to find out that they will not remove the old base! We’re old! We can’t get rid of the base! What is a warranty for if not to help the consumer! They made us give back the $ for the first warranty and we purchased another 10 year warranty for the new base that WE DONT HAVE!! I’m out $300.00! Mattress Warehouse in Brick NJ NEVER told us this! I guess it’s lawyers next. Is it fraud to pay for something and not get it?

We had a terrible experience at the Clermont Mattress Warehouse. We chose a bed and discussed the price for the bed and the frame and the accessory pack. He told us a price then said he had to get manager approval. Manager came out and said it was good but they had to do it in two transactions so it might be a few. Then they disappear for 10 minutes. Salesman comes back out to tell us it's going to be about 30" because the manager had a family emergency. He said he would call on the way home to get our credit card info. We confirmed with him the price again and he said yes. They gave us the accessory pack to take home that was part of the package. Doesn't call on way home. Two hours later calls and says he can't complete because manager had an emergency, and he has the appropriate codes to complete the sale.
The next day a different manager calls and says, "yeah we can't give you that deal." After a lot of conversation, they told us that it was going to be about $600-$700 more. Sketchy practice! I told him I wasn't willing to change the price so went to Mattress Firm and got the exact deal I was looking for and was in and out in about 15." Transaction was fast, efficient and transparent. Beware of Mattress Warehouse.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the experience I had at your store located on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook, NY. On May 22, 2025, I purchased a Queen State 15” mattress with a listed value of $2,599.00,. At the time of purchase, the salesperson informed me that the store’s printer was not working and that my receipt would be emailed to me. As of today, I have still not received the receipt despite multiple follow-ups. I called the store several times on Friday and Saturday to request the receipt and to confirm the delivery details. Unfortunately, I received no assistance from either the sales staff or the store manager—my calls were not returned, and no helpful information was provided.
According to the store manager, my mattress was scheduled for delivery on Saturday, May 24, 2025. I was told I would receive a call from the distribution center on Friday evening or Saturday morning. Neither of those calls occurred, and the mattress was never delivered. I waited at home the entire day until 6:00 PM without any update, delivery, or courtesy call. This lack of communication and accountability is extremely frustrating and disappointing. I also attempted to contact customer service today and spoke with a representative named John (240-907-5925), who was unable to assist me in resolving the issue.
It is unfortunate that a reputable mattress store would fail to uphold basic standards of customer service. I chose to return to this location based on a positive past experience with a previous purchase under Sleepers, but this recent experience has left me deeply concerned about your store’s ability to provide adequate service and support after a sale. I hope this matter is addressed promptly and seriously, and I look forward to receiving an update regarding my mattress delivery and a copy of my receipt as soon as possible. Very unprofessional and terrible customer service.

I recently made a purchase at the Mattress Warehouse of Mount Laurel. I felt they had a very large selection of mattresses. I took the test where you lay on the bed and the computer decides which mattresses would be good for you. I was very happy with the selections that they chose. My salesperson was Cheri. I would highly recommend her. She was knowledgeable, patient, and very pleasant to deal with. I found the prices were very reasonable if not amazing on some of the beds and so far I am happy with my purchase. The delivery came the next day. The delivery men came when they said they would, they were very courteous, and everything went easy breezy.

Statesboro, GA - Ordered bed frame, mattress, mattress protector & pillow on 1/24/25. Incomplete order delivered 2/13/25. Told we could not use the mattress until protector put on it or it would void our warranty. So now have bed cannot use. When I stopped by the store I spoke with the manager Kevin who got very rude, made no effort to locate or find out when or why we did not receive the mattress protector and he told me I just have to wait for it to come in. I asked him for a tracking number for shipping and he gave me nothing but an attitude. Nice guy until after the sale then nasty leaving us with a product can't use and nice $4,762.74 bill.

We have purchased products for our primary as well as a secondary home for several years at all price points. The sales people are knowledgeable and helpful and great sales. We had one damaged piece and they were wonderful in correcting. And if you purchase from them regularly, they often work with you on price. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Do Not buy from Mattress Warehouse. Purchased a mattress only for $906.00 that was not at all like the one on the floor. They said, "You could do exchange." Went in to exchange and found another that cost $1199 and sign said free adjustable frame with purchase of this mattress. Now they are telling me I have to pay the full amount $1199 for mattress only but will not give me the (free) frame. They said on paper they are really charging new customers $699 for the mattress and $500 for frame. I pointed out they are willing to let this mattress leave their warehouse for $699 but want me to pay $1199. He said, "It’s not about the accounting." REALLY! Big Ripoff. Minus 5 stars if I could.

Beware of company's warranty. They do not adhere to the manufacturer's warranty, but their own warranty only. We found this out on the Purple beds we purchased. We had based our decision on what beds to try based on mfg warranty and after the purchase found out that warranty was useless.

Purchase experience at Mattress Warehouse at Mill Run Circle in Owings Mills was comfortable without pressure. They returned my phone messages, and contacted me by phone and messaging about status of delivery. Delivery was at earliest time of estimate. Delivery men set boxspring in frame and placed protective cover on mattress, all handled efficiently and professionally. I am happy with my Mattress Warehouse experience.

Almost two months ago, my wife and I purchased a mattress from the store in Princeton, NJ. It's in a big shopping center on Rt. 1 North. After looking around and talking to the salesman, we chose a floor model which was offered at a deep discount. We were promised delivery in a couple of days. We had to wait for delivery for almost three weeks and when it came, and we put it in, it did not look right. It was too high. We did not remember it being that high in the store. Also, it was much softer than what we selected. After trying for a week, we went back to the store asking to replace it because it was not what we wanted. We agreed to upgrade and were ready to pay the difference. We offered all that and asked the store to exchange it. In response, we were told that the mattress was marked "AS IS" and therefore, there were no exchanges. "AS IS" to us is that we accept the condition the product was in when we purchased it but not the wrong product.
We are not sure that the product delivered was the product purchased. It looks different and it feels different. One does not buy mattresses every day. We paid a lot of money for it and we want the right product. After an argument, the salesmen called the area manager, who did not want to talk to us and just said to the salesman that there was no exchange. In short, we lost money on this mattress because we still want what we want. Now, we need to find another mattress. How do you get rid of the one we have? You cannot sell it because you cannot ship it anywhere. And, if we sell it, we have to sell it for much less than what we paid. Problems. Still, we were not informed that the sale was final. All we knew was that, if we found the defects, the store was not responsible. Still, we are almost certain that the mattress we received is the one we purchased. I would not buy anything from this store or the company again.

No Refunds!!! Exchanges cost money. We could not be more disappointed. The mattress and base ordered was not what we chose at the store. Very uncomfortable! We are in the middle of exchanging and the store is not communicating. Spent over $7,000 and are STUCK WITH THIS PIECE OF CRAP! Will be filing a lawsuit.

I walked into the Riverdale Mattress Warehouse and John ** dropped what he was doing and helped me to pick out the right mattress for me. I wanted a soft mattress and he made sure to show me and had me try them out to make sure that I would be satisfied with my purchase. Great customer service and very nice.

I purchased a bed from Mattress Warehouse and in a year from that point, I already had sagging issues. I went through the process of getting a warranty claim put in right away and had to have a bed inspector come out. Taking a day off of work to meet with the bed inspector, I was told to wait a few days and I would get a phone call. Once I reached out to them, I was told that I needed to pay a $100 shipping fee. I had to fight to get the fee waived but after some arguing they finally agreed.
When the bed was being delivered, I watched the guys delivering my bed pull the new bed out of the truck and wind catch my brand new mattress. I watched as my $1700 mattress flew through the air and landed in a snow pile (but they won't tell people that). Another year goes by and guess what, rinse and repeat. My second mattress sagged again 6 months into it. I went through the process again, more missed time from work, meeting the bed inspector again, etc. I got a third bed as a replacement but since the last two sagged so fast, I was recommended to spend some extra money and get a bed with better coils so it wouldn't sag. So after spending more money and arguing a third time to not have to pay the delivery fee because of their sub par mattresses, I finally received the third bed.
To my surprise, 4 months into the new bed with better coils, it sagged and the sides of the bed blew out. Now, 4 months into the bed, I went through the process again. Missed work, inspector, all the fun stuff. The only thing different is I'M FORCED TO PAY THE DELIVERY FEE. If you're selling a horrible product, don't make your customer put more money in to fix your mistake. I missed 4 days of work, watched the guys I need to pay $100 to throw my mattress into snow (which quite honestly I could handle it better myself), and countless times going back to the store and picking out a new mattress and arguing over a delivery fee.
To top it all off, I tried to contact the corporate office to ask about receiving some time of refund. I ended up being hung up on and never was helped. I recommend going anywhere else and AVOIDING THEM AT ALL COST. Treat your consumers better and sell a better product. Now I have to go through this process for 10 years and have to keep paying a delivery fee.

Joe, our salesman was an expert in helping us choose the perfect mattress FOR US. The price was excellent as well. Delivery? Fast! On time! Friendly! Can't recommend them enough.

Walked in and got a big HELLO from DJ who was knowledgeable and gave me an education on the different type of mattress there are. When I explained what I was looking for and price range he showed my wife and I the various options that fit our needs which saved a lot of time from looking at all the beds on display. What I liked is he was not a pushy salesman and actually listened to what we wanted and took the time to explain the differences between the various manufacture's. He was so good that I went in for one bed and left with 2!!!

We purchased a mattress and as soon as we hit it it was sagging. Went back to the store and could see the one that were sent was nothing like the one on the store. A replacement one was the same as the first one. Then we tried a different mattress and it too sagged immediately. It also does not appear to be the same as the model in the store. Mattress Warehouse is Operating a bait and switch scam. The mattresses they deliver are inferior quality to the ones in the store.

I had purchased a Serta mattress two years ago after I had foot surgery and finished physical therapy. I went to Mattress Warehouse to purchase a new mattress as the previous one I had was way overdue on being tossed out. At the time, it was on sale for $750 USD. After purchasing the mattress, everything was fine. Fast forward to December 4th, 2023 and my mattress starts sinking after having it for two years. Had a guy come inspect the mattress and said it would take 10 days. On December 22, 2023 I finally got answer back that they would not honor my warranty even after they set up my Mattress two years ago! I was not told I needed a support beam in the center for my mattress and they didn't even the warranty manual off the mattress! So now I'm out 750 dollars and a freaking mattress! Don't buy from these people.

I ordered a mattress and adjustable bed frame in August and have only received the mattress. I was only told after the fact I made the purchase that the adjustable frame is on backorder. 2 months later it’s still not available. I keep getting the run around and they keep giving me a different story every week why it hasn’t come in yet. They wanted me to pay for an upgrade. Lol. This is not my issue and shouldn’t be paying for anything. This is the worse service ever and will never recommend anyone to go there.They falsely advertise that you get a free adjustable frame. But you won’t because they have none. Legal actions have already started on my behalf with this company.

When I bought a mattress from Mattress Warehouse, I told the salesman that I needed a firm mattress. And that's what I bought. It was great for about the first eight months, but around that time it started to become lumpy and uneven. Since then I've had numerous problems like lower back pain, pinched nerve in my shoulder blade, sore neck. I would expect a mattress to last more than eight months.
