Now at 13 months, this sofa looks like it has been used 13 years. Product is way overpriced for what was delivered. Don't waste good money here. My experience was fine. There was no problem buying the product. But in less than two years, my very expensive Bench Made solid maple live wood dining table has splits in the top surface of the wood. The dining table is rarely ever used, and I’ve only wiped it down with water and dried it with a cloth as directed. They only have a one year warranty and I did not take out the extended warranty because I figured what could happen to wood. Well, I regret that now and I regret buying from Bassett Furniture, because they are expensive and their solid wood furniture didn’t last me any longer than cheap furniture that I’ve purchased from Living Spaces.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. BUYER BEWARE. Scottsdale, AZ. The salesperson, Tammy **, completely lied to us about the furniture we purchased. We didn't have the time to wait several weeks to custom order bedroom furniture so we bought some pieces that Ms. ** said were already made and available to ship. Now, we are told that it will still be five weeks before we can get them because they are coming ALL THE WAY from California. Spoke with Ed (because Tammy ** promised to call back and never did) and he said management says our only options are to cancel and pay 15% restocking fee or wait another 5 weeks. Cancelled because I don't do business with dishonest people. Bait and switch, deceptive business practices.

My husband and I purchased a beautiful sectional and after 6 months the fabric pilled. When we reached out to the store, they did nothing except give us a fuzz remover. The fabric had issues and the salesperson should have warned us so that we could have made other choices. The quality does not live up to the price. When a product is purchased and there is a guarantee of quality, the company should stand behind the quality. Unfortunately, the sectional has faded, pilled and the cushions look awful. I love the look of Bassett furniture but will never trust their products or staff again.

We bought 2 very nice and very expensive sofas in 2017. We were told if we ever had any stains to clean them with a mixture of bleach and water. Well of course after a year of having the sofas we had a few stains and I cleaned them the way we were told. The mixture left discolored rings around the stains. We put in a request for service through their terrible warranty company. They came out and looked at the sofa and after almost a year they told us the fabric was discontinued and we would have a credit to purchase new furniture. We ended up moving out of state and had to drive over an hour to the closest store to pick out new sofas. We ended up picking the Beckham sectional and the "upgraded" fabric. And ended up coming out of pocket another $3000.

We asked how to clean the furniture and were told the same thing. I did more research and found that just using a mild detergent and water was best. Well the ottoman had a stain and I did exactly what Bassett's blog said to do and the water again caused a ring around the stain. They send a tech out to check the stain and he tried to get the stain out as well and could not do it and was very surprised about the ring around the stain. They replaced the ottoman and wouldn't replace any of the other cushions that were also stained. We have had this sectional for a little over a year and the stains and pilling is ridiculous. Of course I called Bassett customer service and all they said was I would have to have the sectional professionally cleaned. We are extremely disappointed with Bassett and all of their "customer service." Currently we are stuck with a $6000 hunk of junk. Stay away from Bassett!!!!

I bought a outdoor sectional for thousands of dollars off the floor from Bassett Furniture. The sales person Kat assured me that if there was a problem it would be covered under their warranty. She handed me warranty brochures. Told me to hose it down once a week. It shouldn't scratch, rust or pitt. I have had this only a couple of months and it's scratched and metal is stained. I washed the casings and went to put it back on and the zipper broke. Their repair person came out and verified that my dogs did not cause this.

We don't know how this happened except that the coating must be defective from the factory since it looks like this in a couple of months. Due to the extreme heat and humidity of the summer it was barely used. Kat told me that the damage was due to my dog and is not covered. They lied. They are not standing behind their product. It's only a couple of months old and will be complete garbage as it continues to deteriorate outside. Do not waste your money on this company that lied about their warranty and won't stand behind their product

We bought a new couch and matching loveseat from Bassett Furniture of Salt Lake City, Utah on February 8, 2023. This furniture was delivered to us in March, 2023. The loveseat began to “squeak “ loudly immediately. We called the store, and the store manager had no suggestion other than to have their repairman come to our house to discuss this problem.

He did come and suggested increasing the foam density to the maximum in all the seat cushions for both the couch and loveseat to eliminate the noise from the springs. We did ask if there was something that could be done directly to the springs to eliminate the noise, but he said that he really did not have an answer to that. We also asked if it was possible to have a furniture repair shop directly fix the spring problem, but he said that would void the warranty on the furniture. So, he took all the seat cushions, had them redone completely, and brought them back to us. The cost was an additional $400.00.

The cushions are definitely much improved. However, the loud “squeak” returned quickly, and each day that goes by, it gets louder and louder. Since all avenues for improvement with Bassett Furniture appear to be exhausted, we now will go ahead and contact a repair shop to fix this problem ourselves, and we will pay for that ourselves. We are greatly disenchanted and disappointed with Bassett Furniture’s warranty, and their customer service.

Please DO NOT BUY from this store. Horrible quality and even worse customer service. I purchased a large dining room table with 8 chairs. As a new mother and just a family of 3, my husband and I haven’t even had a chance to use most of the chairs. A month after delivery we noticed that one of the chairs had cracking all the way through the wood on the base of the chair, making it unusable. The chairs were purchased on sale but we also purchased the additional extended warranty. Bassett refused to discuss replacing the chair, only repairing, which we accepted. However, upon delivering the “repaired” chair, it was in worse condition. The cracking was not addressed. The screws were loose on the chair and there was black grease stains all over the tan cushion. I was so upset, refused the delivery and called the store immediately.

After they did not call me back within the time frame they stated, I issued a complaint with the BBB and supplied pictures as proof. There, Bassett lied several times (I believe they didn’t know I could read their response based on their surprise when I called to confront them regarding their response). They claimed that we broke the chair, refused delivery without cause, and that there was no chairs available to replace with (even though I can still go on their website and purchase the chair now).

Upon writing another long response to BBB, Bassett agreed to repair the chair once again. While it came back in better condition this time, it still has a completely cracked base. It’s one thing to argue about fixing/replacing the original chair, but it’s another thing entirely to further damage the chair and then lie to the BBB. And while they did resolve the issues they caused while the chair was in their possession, it took many argumentative phone calls and writing to the BBB. I’ve dealt with some horrible companies in the past, but this one really tops them all considering the price of their items. Such a shame companies are allowed to operate like this. Now, a few weeks after that incident, the stain on the edges of the table have started to rub off where my husband and I sit and are showing white underneath. For the price Bassett charges I’m shocked the quality is so horrible. A very expensive lesson learned.

Now you might be thinking "oh she must be a bigger girl." No, not really, I weigh 150. So I thought, "I'll just call Bassett and have them replace the slats, no big deal." Fast forward 6 weeks later, my bed is being held up by bricks and my slats that were ordered are still "in transit." They must be delivering them on foot.

I tried to have understanding, and patience, but now I can't use my bed. To make matters worse, I asked to speak to the supervisor and they said "she has a couple of calls ahead of you but she will call you back. But it will probably be tomorrow." I'm sorry what? I would highly discourage anyone from purchasing from Bassett. This is my second time purchasing from them. The first time I purchased the Beckham sofa was in 2017. After over a year of service, it still looks awful (pilling, staining, deflated cushions). I have no idea why I decided to give Bassett a second chance when ordering my dining table, chairs, and stools. I have had them for 24 hours, and the upholstery on the chairs is flimsy. I can feel the wood from the chair because there is no cushion, in place of foam there is what seems to be some type of cellophane or crunching material.

At this point, I can only assume that Bassett knowingly, either negligently or with malice, faulty, unsafe, and defective products to consumers in order to benefit their bottom line. I am currently seeking a full refund for my defective chairs which feel like I purchased them at Walmart. However, Basset is neglecting to stand behind the quality of their products by offering a refund which furthers my point that Bassett as a company may be crooked and perhaps takes advantage of consumers.

The color was different -- the swatch was a couple shades darker (which I had liked when ordering) but the color of couch I just received was lighter. They said there was nothing they could do for two reasons: 1) the batch of dye was likely just a tad off, and 2) the in-store swatch was darker due to hands having touched it, dirtying it over time. Got it back around the holidays, but noticed a faint ring on the "repaired" side where it looked like a quart size can had been. Didn't have time to send it back due to company coming for the holidays, but should have. The table did not get a lot of use in a household with only 3 busy adults, but over the next 6 months every time we would use it I would notice a new scratch. Only on the side they had repaired. I took pictures back to the store where I purchased in Oct. 19, but they said they couldn't do anything due to it being out of warranty.

The table has continued to get more awful with each use - I have to cover the top in order to use without damaging. It is obvious the repair was not completed and there is no protective top coat on half the table. Thought I would give customer service one more chance before starting over with a new table or an expensive refinishing, but to no avail. This pains me because I waited 20 years for this new table and chairs and I went to Bassett because my previous, way less expensive set lasted me those 20 years and I loved the quality. No more! If you’re considering Bassett, just make sure you look closely at the quality of their pieces. I ordered 2 custom-made sofas from Bassett and have attached pictures. The stitching is horrible, there are seams on every single arm, puckering, buckling, and the stitching on the front on both ends was uneven as it got narrower toward the legs.

I can’t believe I didn’t notice this before I ordered my sofas because I’m extremely detail oriented and particular, but when I went back to the store I inspected their furniture more closely and noticed that almost every single one of their sofas on the floor in the design center has a seam on the arm approx. 4” from the back. It’s hard to notice on their sofas because of the fabric they used, but my sofas have the same seams and they looked awful! My designer told me that Bassett uses a machine to calculate the most cost effective way to cut the fabric (saving money); therefore, most sofas have seams in that location. Too bad their prices do not reflect that cost savings!

I was in contact with the store constantly on how to resolve this issue. They assured me they would make it right and wanted to make me happy but that “it was a process”. The other issue I have is that every single time they told me I would hear from them later in the week, I never did. I was always the one that would have to call and check on the status of my complaint/claim. Finally, after 2 weeks I called and asked to speak with the store manager, Karen. She never returned my call, but later that day I got an email from DruAnn, the customer care specialist, asking me to come in and reselect fabric for 2 new sofas. I never did find out what the findings of their “process” were. Their best guess is that it was the fabric I chose (which by the way is still hanging with the other fabrics as an option for upholstery).

At this point, I lost faith in Bassett and did not feel good about working with them or getting any furniture from them. Luckily, Bassett wanted to cut ties with me too because I was extremely particular. They took back my sofas and refunded all my money, except the $200 delivery fee. I’m writing this review in hopes of saving someone else the trouble and stress of going through what I went through. If I would have read a review like this, I would have avoided Bassett or at least gone in knowing what to expect.

The salespeople are very knowledgeable about furniture. They are very resourceful in helping you find the best furniture for your house. They offer different options in material and colors and placement of your furniture. But Best of all is the quality of the furniture which last for years! I bought a bedroom set which still looks like new 12 years later. And the living Room set has withstood 12+ years of kids and dogs and fat people... And still Great! My Dining Room set still has the same chairs and the same glass! It's kind of pricey but it's worth every penny!

I have shopped on separate occasions over a number of years for a dining room set with sideboard, kitchen chairs, and living room furnishings, including leather chairs, lamp, coffee table, side table, framed art, mirror and 2 area rugs. Each sales associate that assisted me was helpful, accommodated my special requests, offered design advice to suit my style, color preferences and budget. Bassett also offers finance options, and warranties. I damaged a side table during the warranty period and a repair person was sent immediately to repair the finish. I have only 1 room remaining that I need to update, and I plan to return to Bassett again.

1 year later and I am still trying to resolve my issues with my furniture that I spent over $4000 on. I would never recommend Bassett to anyone. After visiting the showroom and falling in love with a dining room set I purchased it. Waited my 10 weeks for it to arrive only to be terribly disappointed in the product I received. My table looked NOTHING like the pristine table in the showroom. There were big black "knots" all over my beautiful gray table. I was told "it can't be helped." Apparently it can be...you have a knot free table in your showroom. After months and months and months (9 to be exact) of back and forth Basset finally said I could pick out a new table top. The sales person recommended that I pick a darker top so the knots would be less noticeable. I did exactly what the salesperson suggested as well as under the suggestion of the store manager. I waited once again for the delivery only to be disappointed once again.

The darker table arrived and yes, the knots were much less noticeable, but this time there were all these "worm holes" in it. Holes that look like someone went crazy with a staple gun. My gray table had NOT ONE of these worm holes neither did the one in the showroom so never in my wildest dreams would I even think this would be possible. I went back to the store and guess what? Neither the salesperson OR manager work there anymore. So now I am told by another associate that a technician may be able to fill in these holes.

I wait another 2 weeks for them to get back to me and guess what...NOPE...nothing can be done. Now I am stuck with a gray table that I am not happy with and out $4000. Bait and Switch? Put beautiful knot free and worm free tables in your showroom and deliver ones that are the total opposite. Obviously you CAN produce a beautiful product, you just don't want to sell it. It's only for show. Please think twice about purchasing from Bassett.
