I had the worst experience. I order 62 $ worth of food and all of a sudden, I got a notice my price changed to 93+dollars. Could not alter anything, could not call anyone, could not cancel because is said: "you will be charged anyway". Awful, awful, awful and no one to try and fix it. BEWARE!!!!

San Diego CA, May 8 2026. Would give zero stars if that was available. Ordered food, was told by the web app that it was delivered, but nothing arrived. Managed to find the appropriate section of the app and was told that my card would be credited but it could take up to TEN days. They can manage to debit my card immediately but get to sit on the money for too long before it can be returned.

After disagreement with Uber staff about a 48 hour policy to make refunds I found a email a day later in my email about the problem and they refunded the service fee.
Original Review: May 5, 2026
Over the years, I found that Uber is cheap and uses people for money while not paying drivers properly. They take 50% of the fare and then so with Uber Eats, I found my discount promotion is useless when I am billed $16 for a service fee to go to Walmart with a $2 bag fee that I never received any bags for. So I noticed today it happened merely 9 days ago and when I asked Uber about it, I got "it has been over 48 hours, so we cannot refund anything". Do you guys feel like being cheated for money and tricked by promotions that dont really help? I am going to stop recommending Uber Eats as it's abusing my bank account with fees I don't need to be paying as a Uber One member. I would rather use Instacart.

I had a heart surgery and am basically bedridden I have had to rely on Ubereats, GrubHub, Doordash for food. Out of the 3 Uber Eats is a scammer. The food is never the time they say so it's the drinks are warm. The food is cold. They make it impossible to contact or complain. Also they give you the run around. I told the customer service I will never use the app again and to credit my card and they gave me a credit in the app like trying to reassure I will use it again. I have never felt hopeless about something like that. They literally charge you for nothing. My order was made at 7:48 am. I didn't receive it untill 10 am. They gave me 6 dollars on a 40 dollar order. Cold chicken and waffles. Warm juice. That credit will stay there. I will never order out again if I have to drag myself into the kitchen.

I had a very disappointing experience with Uber Eats. My order arrived over an hour late, which was already frustrating, but what made the situation worse was the behavior of the delivery driver. The driver messaged me asking demanding a tip on top of what I had already provided. This made me feel extremely uncomfortable and, honestly, a bit unsafe. That is completely inappropriate and should be taken seriously. In addition the presentation of the food wasn't appetizing.
When I contacted Uber Eats support to report both the delay and the driver’s behavior, the response was very disappointing. Instead of properly addressing the situation, they only offered me a $3.86 credit. Given the excessive delay and the discomfort caused by the driver, I believe a full refund would have been appropriate. This experience made me feel like my concerns weren’t taken seriously and that customer safety and satisfaction are not a priority. I expect better accountability when issues like this are reported.

I recently signed up for Uber Eats. I did not know Uber over prices, the menu items SO MUCH that you really DO NOT come out cheaper. For example, Bojangles had it country ham for $4.39 but it priced on Uber Eats for $8.43 (screenshot attached). Same thing with a sandwich that Firehouse Subs had for $9.99, Uber Eats was charging $13.99... Mind you, in addition to these elevated prices, they also added service fees.

I was charged for an order placed on April 5 even though the restaurant was closed and I never received the food. Support refused to issue a refund or credit despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue. This is unacceptable. Customers should not be charged for orders that are not fulfilled. Uber Eats needs to fix this and take responsibility.

I paid almost $40 for two meals on Uber Eats. I received somebody's order name Brooke H. I'm gonna attach the receipt that was on the bag so I showed a picture of the meal and I contacted Uber Eats and told them I received Brooke H order. The restaurant contacted Uber Eats and told them the driver picked up the wrong bag.
Uber Eats is saying I'm not eligible for a refund because I'm supposed to look at the order before I give the pin and everybody that get delivery. No it don't work like that. You have to give the pin before you even receive the order, so how I'm gonna check the order first like I'm out of food and $40. This company need to be shut down as you can see from the chat, my name Mera, not Brooke. How did I get Brooks order? I'm gonna be contacting the Better Business Bureau and the bank

Pick and choose when they want to help you out, even if you order consistently and tip well. Not only that, but their delivery prices are INSANE, and to add on the “extra misc fees” that always add up to 40$ no matter what your order is. Trash like every other company and their AI chatbots.

After working over 50 hours on my feet, I told myself I’d treat myself to my favorite Chinese food down the street when I was done with my stretch of 12 hour shifts. Because I was tired, I used Uber Eats unwillingly through Instacart. It took over an hour to receive the notification the food was delivered despite the food being picked up and driving around Peoria for 45 minutes. The picture uploaded by the “driver” was the outside of my building. So they were there, outside and took a picture of my building, but never went in to deliver.
After calling roughly 10 times with no answer to the “driver” I called customer Uber Eats service. By the time all this happened and I realized I wasn’t going to get my food bc it was well after 10pm, there was nothing else I could do. I must’ve called their “customer service” a dozen times asking for the drivers information bc he stole $50 of my food and I tipped him to steal it! My goal was to report to the police. This is a misdemeanor offense 😂 They refused to give me any identifying information of the driver, every single rep kept the drivers info private and refused to tell me anything about the person sitting outside of my home taking pics of it then stealing my dinner. I had crab rangoons, fried potstickers, fried rice, beef and broccoli, it was a huge spread of all my favorite things, stolen from me after only eating a protein shake 14 hours prior. With a credit I couldn’t even use until the next day bc everyone was closed by that point.
Then after talking to co-workers, they tell me the Peoria area is filled with “drivers” who use each others accounts to go out and steal people's food. This is apparently ok. Will NEVER spend another penny on Uber Eats. Ridiculous service and treatment. And the drivers can steal as much money in your food as they want without repercussions.

This was a really frustrating experience. My delivery driver was clearly handling multiple orders before mine, which caused a huge delay. What should have been a quick delivery ended up taking over an hour, and by the time my food arrived, it wasn’t even worth the wait. On top of that, customer service was terrible. It was difficult to get any real help, and the responses I received felt dismissive and unhelpful. For the amount of fees charged, I expected much better service and communication. Overall, between the excessive wait time and poor customer support, this experience was extremely disappointing. I won’t be using this service again anytime soon.

Rude customer service representatives. They truly make it obvious that they don’t care how bad the service they provide is. They don’t try to empathize with customers or understand why a customer might be upset with not receiving the type of service that one would expect from such a prominent company. They obviously do not screen their delivery drivers or the companies they choose to work with because the quality of service from both is lackluster on a good day. I will never forget how terrible they treated me and how easy it seemed for anyone I talked to within this company to dismiss my awful experience with the service this company provided.

Uber Eats hides order time transparency and customer service access. Order time details are concealed for 24 hours, blocking customers from verifying delays. A sushi order arrived over an hour late, and support claimed that a 1 hour 40 minute wait was acceptable. Customer service response took 40 minutes, showing a clear lack of urgency. The complaint process itself is designed to ruin the meal—lengthy, unhelpful, and with no success. The system appears built to conceal delays, underpay drivers, and overcharge customers while making support nearly unreachable.

I ordered from the Little Caesar’s on Fielder in Arlington. When the order arrived the food wasn’t sealed and the crazy bread was actually open! I contacted the store direct and was told they were so swamped they forgot to seal the order. Unfortunately they are unable to provide a refund Uber Eats has to. I contacted Uber Eats customer service and all they did was apologize and made empty promises to do better on future orders. When I asked about the refund because I refuse to feed that food to my grandbabies I was told no refund would be given. I asked if they truly thought I’d eat or serve that mess to my family. They agreed it wasn’t safe, but still opted to keep my $24. Now I have to file a dispute with my bank and I will most definitely be closing my account! It’s clear they don’t value the safety of their customers and the food was delivered by a child not the person pictured on the account.

Just got tired of ordering from Uber Eats and being an Uber One member. All the money I've spent on orders. Uber Eats doesn't care about your orders being ruined or messed up. They offer you like $2 to $3 back after you spent $30 to $50 or more. Done with ordering. Even with Uber One, you still get charged other fees! Plus a tip! They got you by the balls and don't care if you keep your membership or not.

While sitting at Sonic last night I ordered two milkshakes on Uber Eats at 9:47pm. I immediately realized the order was being sent to the Sonic across town and cancelled the order at 9:49pm. Uber Eats refuses to refund my money. Because Sonic had already started making my order by the time it was cancelled. 2 minutes.

I placed an order through Uber Eats and paid an additional fee for priority delivery. A driver accepted the order, but then remained stationary for over two hours. There was no movement, no communication, and no indication that the order had even been picked up. After the delivery was already past the latest estimated arrival time, I attempted to contact the driver directly and received no response. I then contacted Uber Eats support and was told the driver was “on the way.” When I questioned this further, I was informed that support does not actually have the ability to directly contact or verify the driver’s status. This means I was given inaccurate information about the status of my order. At that point, it was clear the order was not going to be delivered. I requested to cancel the order due to non-performance of the service. I was then informed that I would still be charged for most or all of the order. This left me in a situation where:
The driver was unresponsive and inactive.
Support could not verify or resolve the issue.
I would still be financially charged.
When I asked for escalation to a supervisor, I was told that was not possible, and the support conversation was ended without resolution. This is not the first time I have experienced being charged for an order that was never delivered, which suggests a recurring issue with how Uber Eats handles failed deliveries and customer disputes. Paying for a service that is not provided, combined with inaccurate status updates and no escalation options, is unacceptable. I am seeking a full refund and a proper review of this incident.

Placed an order for Uber eats at 9:30 this this this morning, an hour and a half later I don't know if vacation saying that my delivery is being delivered, 30 minutes after that I get another notification stating that where I'm getting my groceries delivered to my house is too far even though it's 0.6 miles away. I know. I walk there! Unfortunately I have a toddler that's not feeling good and there's no curbs where I live so I'm not going to take her with me today!
Then on top of all that they decided to take the money out of my account and now they're telling me I have to fight for my reimbursement even though I have all the text and all the emails proving that they literally canceled my order because when I was on the phone with the lady she then stated, "Well we didn't have any drivers in your area." Why didn't you tell me that over 3 hours ago instead of me waiting at home! Moral story I went to GrubHub and GrubHub fast-efficient. Amazing. I'm about to go write them a great review!!

I've been ordering through Uber Eats for 2 years now. I ordered from Wendy's through the Uber Eats app and ordered three frosties and chicken wrap which came to $29 and change. I did not get the order. The delivery guy put the order as delivered but did not offer a picture of the order delivered and they're supposed to get a code from me when handing off and that didn't happen either so I had to put in another order just to get what I wanted that evening and I tried to contacting Uber Eats. They weren't available and I got a message that they would contact me in 24 to 48 hours. Well they didn't contact me so I again put in another request to get my money back and they just gave me a generic response that said, "Your refund cannot be processed" so I'm now at the point where I made a complaint through PayPal because that's how I paid and trying to get the funds returned through there.
I will never order from ubereats again. They lost a lot of business all over a $30 order that they could not prove that was delivered so they've lost my business this company is not customer service focused. They do not care if you're ripped off by the delivery drivers and your food is not delivered. They just continue on, they fail to follow the policies they have in place to ensure your order is received like getting a four digit code and taking a picture of it on your doorstep. They were supposed to hand off to me and give me the code they did not do this or take the picture and still refuse to credit me back for the order desire order. I would not order from these guys. Stick to ordering directly from restaurants or get lift to deliver it through the Courier option. Lyft is much better. They take care of anything that goes wrong immediately. I'm in Millwoods Edmonton Alberta Canada.

I placed an order for 3 items, but 2 of them were out of stock. I was not notified of this change and was not given the option to approve substitutions or cancel the order. The order was still delivered with only 1 item, and I was charged full delivery and service fees. This resulted in me paying over $21 total for a $9.99 item, which I would not have agreed to if I had been informed beforehand.
While I received a $5 credit, this does not fairly address the issue. The core problem is that the order was significantly changed without my consent, and I was still charged fees for an order I would have canceled. Uber shouldn't just go ahead and ordered/delivered without my consent...I didn't agree with the changes...as I wasn't notified.

Uber Eats suck. All they want is your money. I have gotten burnt food, wrong food and they refuse to make any monetary adjustments. The fees have gotten ridiculous. I’ll stick with DoorDash every time. Never a problem with getting things right and fees are much less. I am truly done with Uber Eats. Only reason I used them was a promotion that turned out to be a problem. I also blame the merchants too for making bad food or sending wrong food. The merchant get their money no matter what they do wrong.

Uber Eats is terrible. Just tried to use it for the first time. I had to cancel the order within 30 seconds after ordering because they had the wrong address. They went right ahead and tried to charge me full price. I reached out to customer service. They told me there's nothing they can do. Ridiculous that you can't fix the issue even if it meant sending the order to the correct address. You can tell the company is focused on profit rather than taking care of their customers. I ended up calling the restaurant and picking up the order.

I placed an order on the app around 12:50 pm today. There was difficulties finding a driver, so after waiting more than 30 minutes, I decided to cancel my order via chat in the app and request a refund. They wouldn't cancel my order and said that if I did, I would still be charged. After waiting 45 minutes from the time I placed my order but hadn't received, they said my order was being picked up. The guy was on a bicycle! A bicycle! Well, this pushed the delivery time out even further. My lunch time had now ended and I would not be able to meet the the guy whenever he arrived on a bicycle (I work in a secured area and he would not be able to access).
After explaining this to UBEREATS customer service, they said to give them until 2:05 pm for the food to be delivered. Said sometimes things happen outside of their control that causes delays in delivery times. Yea, the thing that caused the delay was having a guy on a bicycle delivery the food. UBEREATS refused to cancel my order and still had the guy deliver my food, which would've been 100% cold by the time I got it (on a bicycle in 50° weather). They didn't care. I have been a loyal customer for years and this is how they treat loyal customers. This unacceptable! I will not be ordering from them anymore and highly suggest people consider all the negative reviews, take heed and do not use UBEREATS.

Uber Eats intentionally and directly damaged the food that I paid for by sending their driver to do intermediate deliveries of other orders before delivering mine. My food arrived mushy and cold and damaged and potentially harmful due to Uber eats delivery. When I contacted their support several representatives only reply was to pass this off onto the responsibility of the restaurant or the delivery driver. Both are innocent as it was Uber eats direct order to the driver to delay my delivery. Uber eats is refusing a refund.
