Customer reported a safety issue with Order. Came cold and bad quality and Uber refused to provide a solution, on top of that, a $20 order ended on $34 with fees.

We need to be able to rate in negative stars for bad experiences. Honestly! So on 6/4/2026, I ordered dinner for my family, which after all of the astronomical fees they charge, it was over $70 almost $80. The first driver that was going to pick up the order, canceled which left our meal sitting out at the restaurant waiting to be picked up. So around 10 to 15 minutes later, another person was assigned to pick it up. It took her an ADDITIONAL 10 minutes for her to even arrive at the restaurant to retrieve our order. After leaving the restaurant to bring our dinner to us, it took her another 20 minutes to arrive. All in all, around an hour or more from the time I placed the order until it finally arrived.
Our food was ICE COLD. When I contacted Uber Eats, they told me that it is their policy that they do not refund for cold food. That is ridiculous! After telling the first agent that was unacceptable, he gave me $16 Uber Cash. An insult to my intelligence and useless. My expectation was a full refund since the first driver decided to not deliver my order and cancel out of it. And since he is affiliated with Uber, and his actions caused the order for my family dinner to sit there longer and get cold, I feel that Uber should refund the full amount of my order, including taxes and all fees. I got nowhere with chat that night.
The next day, the chat agent argued with me about it again, and when I requested to speak with a manager by phone, he refused to get someone to call me or to get on chat with me. So I googled their Customer Service number and finally talked to someone, and the best she offered me was half of my subtotal back in Uber Cash or back to my debit card. Nope, I am standing on the fact that Uber should reimburse me the full amount I paid. I mean, if you are in a restaurant and are served cold food, 99% of the time the manager will comp your meal without you having to beg for your money back. Because it's the right thing to do. Evidently, Uber don't believe in that. I know they have their "policy". But they know that's not right.

The worse experience ever. Not only did the driver not deliver the item to me as requested, Uber Eats and the Driver ignored my request regarding where to deliver the item. The app kept taking me to a different address so I provided very specific comments about where to deliver and the correct address for the entrance to the building where I was. Despite talking to the driver twice and chatting with him saying "wrong building read my notes with the correct address" the driver dropped our food off with a security guard in another building and left. Customer support kept hanging up on me and ending my chats when I requested a refund. Uber Eats also messed up my order. The price was outrageous. What a horrible company with no customer service support. Will never use again.

This company price gouges and does not deliver. They do not appreciate nor honor their customers. I have had issues with being overcharged, paying priority fees without receiving product on time, unprofessional delivery staff and not receiving the correct order. When I complained, I was not issued a full refund and provided with multiple excuses. None of the above is acceptable considering the cost and supposed convenience they advertise.

We made a $45 order on May 25th 2026… order never showed up. I submitted a ticket for a refund and they said no because the driver needed a “PIN code” to deliver the food, we never saw the driver or anyone… not sure how he delivered the food without the code but he did. Uber Eats REFUSES to refund even though we literally showed them we made the same order right after.. to DoorDash.. to replace the failed uber order. DoorDash delivered just fine btw. So Uber Eats stole our money and is calling it our fault. On top of all of that, it’s insanely difficult to even get in touch with anyone in “customer service” and they’re all outsourced to India. This company doesn’t give a shit about its clients, at all. I deleted all of my uber info and will die before I ever use them again

I wish I could give them -0 star. They are horrible with customer service. I have been dealing with a issue for 5+ years and still doing it. They don't investigate or read anything, they just answer the same thing without any explanation of the past. They charged me for some food that I never received and the owner of the restaurant told me, the delivery stole it. Uber reversed the amount but for some reason came back again and every time I try to add a CC they charge me the same amount. I asked my bank to reverse the amount and they keep sating my bank did not authorized my transaction and that is why I have to pay. Horrible. I asked closing my account, but they don't even answer to my request. 5+ years with the same situation.

Was going to order Applebee's bogo, which came out to be $75 initially. The final screen was going to charge me full price. So I assumed I did something wrong, went back and changed it to single entrees. And that didn't give me the BOGO either.. it was being confusing on purpose and falsely advertising the deal. (I have a video of all of this.)

Uber Eats grocery purchases are horrible. A lot of their promo codes feel misleading, they lure you in, but once you place the order, suddenly items become “unavailable.” That conveniently causes your order to no longer meet the promo requirements, so you end up paying more while getting a lot less than expected. The changes don’t always require proper authorization either, and the final order can end up costing 50% more than you expected. On top of that, the pricing in the app is often inaccurate compared to the actual store prices. The funniest part? I ordered a pack of chocolate and was told it was out of stock, so I didn’t receive it. I visited the store the next day and found plenty in stock. I even asked the manager if it had actually been out of stock the day before, and they told me that particular chocolate is always in stock.

I am so pissed off with Uber Eats, they have been taking random charges out of my account, I cancelled an order because of the wrong address and reordered my food within a matter of seconds and they still took 28 dollars for food I never received. Oh and to top it all off their driver cancelled on me and they still took my money for that ride… I called customer support and all they said was, "I’ll send a message to the specialized team" and they don’t take calls… I will be deactivating my account… they won’t get another penny from me! I'm pissed - this is robbery.

I ordered food today, May 17, 2026, 11:00am from Chow King at Uber Eats website for Uber Eats to deliver the food. I order 1 Pansit Canton, 2 orders Lumpia Shanghai & gave 15% tip to Uber Eats driver. The food arrive at 11:47 am but its the wrong order. Orders I receive: 2 fried eggs, fried cut up meat rice. I called Chow King & reported that I received wrong order for them send me correct order or give refund. Chow King indicated that they cannot send me the correct order or give me a refund because Uber Eat needs to since I order from Uber Eats website.
Went on line today, May 17,2026 at 12:15noon and Uber Eat chat came on the chat. I reported the issue that Uber Eats had delivered wrong food and reported what Chow King told me. I also reported to Uber Eats chat that their app is not working on my phone so I cannot upload the pics of the wrong food they sent. Uber Eats responded that they will not give me a refund because there is no picture uploaded. Again I indicated- app not working on my phone but I volunteer to send the pics of wrong food via email. Again Uber Eats refuse to give me a refund. This is consumer fraud because I was charged for the food that I did not receive & the business (Uber Eats) refused to correct the mistake. This is the 2nd time this happened with Uber Eats. I did not report them then because on the 1st mistake- I called the business and the business corrected the mistake.

I'm an Uber eats driver, and I believe they scam drivers, today I took an order for $60 dollars. Drove 90 minutes and the app malfunctioned and I didn't get paid, I think I'm done driving for them and Uber support does not help you get paid. They just give you the run around, I wouldn't drive for them. I know I'm not the only one with this problem. The driver apps are scams to screw the driver.

I do not use food delivery services, ever, but found an order delivered by Uber Eats from McDonald's on my porch. First, I tried calling, but there is no way to speak to a person at Uber Eats at all. Fortunately, the first name of the recipient was on the bag, so I went to the manager of the complex I live in to check the first name, the only way I could find the intended recipient. It was supposed to be delivered to unit 2. I am unit 102! By now, the food was about 2 hours old - cold things hot and hot things cold.
I presume Uber drivers have valid driver's licenses. Reading house numbers should not be beyond the capability of people over 18 who can drive. In neither case was the house number obscured in any way, and there is a map at the entrance to the complex where house numbers are clearly readable. This was a VERY avoidable mistake, and since the delivered item was food, and therefore capable of spoilage, it could have had very serious consequences for the consumer.

I had an extremely frustrating experience with Uber Eats and their cancellation policy. I accidentally placed a $120 Olive Garden order because the delivery location had not changed. I realized it within seconds and immediately tried to cancel, but the app would not allow it. I contacted the restaurant, Uber Eats support, and used chat right away. The restaurant confirmed they had not started the order. No food had been prepared. No order had been made. Yet Uber Eats still told me I had to pay for the entire thing, no matter what.
That is not a reasonable or fair policy. A customer should not be charged $120 for food that was never prepared and never received, especially when the mistake was caught immediately. There should be a short grace period for cancellations, particularly when the restaurant confirms the order has not been started. I understand restaurants need protection from late cancellations, but this was not that. This was a cancellation attempt within seconds, with no food made and no service provided. Very disappointing customer service and a terrible policy.

San Diego CA, May 8 2026. Would give zero stars if that was available. Ordered food, was told by the web app that it was delivered, but nothing arrived. Managed to find the appropriate section of the app and was told that my card would be credited but it could take up to TEN days. They can manage to debit my card immediately but get to sit on the money for too long before it can be returned.

Over the years, I found that Uber is cheap and uses people for money while not paying drivers properly. They take 50% of the fare and then so with Uber Eats, I found my discount promotion is useless when I am billed $16 for a service fee to go to Walmart with a $2 bag fee that I never received any bags for. So I noticed today it happened merely 9 days ago and when I asked Uber about it, I got "it has been over 48 hours, so we cannot refund anything". Do you guys feel like being cheated for money and tricked by promotions that dont really help? I am going to stop recommending Uber Eats as it's abusing my bank account with fees I don't need to be paying as a Uber One member. I would rather use Instacart.

I had a heart surgery and am basically bedridden I have had to rely on Ubereats, GrubHub, Doordash for food. Out of the 3 Uber Eats is a scammer. The food is never the time they say so it's the drinks are warm. The food is cold. They make it impossible to contact or complain. Also they give you the run around. I told the customer service I will never use the app again and to credit my card and they gave me a credit in the app like trying to reassure I will use it again. I have never felt hopeless about something like that. They literally charge you for nothing. My order was made at 7:48 am. I didn't receive it untill 10 am. They gave me 6 dollars on a 40 dollar order. Cold chicken and waffles. Warm juice. That credit will stay there. I will never order out again if I have to drag myself into the kitchen.

I had a very disappointing experience with Uber Eats. My order arrived over an hour late, which was already frustrating, but what made the situation worse was the behavior of the delivery driver. The driver messaged me asking demanding a tip on top of what I had already provided. This made me feel extremely uncomfortable and, honestly, a bit unsafe. That is completely inappropriate and should be taken seriously. In addition the presentation of the food wasn't appetizing.
When I contacted Uber Eats support to report both the delay and the driver’s behavior, the response was very disappointing. Instead of properly addressing the situation, they only offered me a $3.86 credit. Given the excessive delay and the discomfort caused by the driver, I believe a full refund would have been appropriate. This experience made me feel like my concerns weren’t taken seriously and that customer safety and satisfaction are not a priority. I expect better accountability when issues like this are reported.

I recently signed up for Uber Eats. I did not know Uber over prices, the menu items SO MUCH that you really DO NOT come out cheaper. For example, Bojangles had it country ham for $4.39 but it priced on Uber Eats for $8.43 (screenshot attached). Same thing with a sandwich that Firehouse Subs had for $9.99, Uber Eats was charging $13.99... Mind you, in addition to these elevated prices, they also added service fees.

I was charged for an order placed on April 5 even though the restaurant was closed and I never received the food. Support refused to issue a refund or credit despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue. This is unacceptable. Customers should not be charged for orders that are not fulfilled. Uber Eats needs to fix this and take responsibility.

I paid almost $40 for two meals on Uber Eats. I received somebody's order name Brooke H. I'm gonna attach the receipt that was on the bag so I showed a picture of the meal and I contacted Uber Eats and told them I received Brooke H order. The restaurant contacted Uber Eats and told them the driver picked up the wrong bag.
Uber Eats is saying I'm not eligible for a refund because I'm supposed to look at the order before I give the pin and everybody that get delivery. No it don't work like that. You have to give the pin before you even receive the order, so how I'm gonna check the order first like I'm out of food and $40. After working over 50 hours on my feet, I told myself I’d treat myself to my favorite Chinese food down the street when I was done with my stretch of 12 hour shifts. Because I was tired, I used Uber Eats unwillingly through Instacart. It took over an hour to receive the notification the food was delivered despite the food being picked up and driving around Peoria for 45 minutes. The picture uploaded by the “driver” was the outside of my building. So they were there, outside and took a picture of my building, but never went in to deliver.
After calling roughly 10 times with no answer to the “driver” I called customer Uber Eats service. By the time all this happened and I realized I wasn’t going to get my food bc it was well after 10pm, there was nothing else I could do. I must’ve called their “customer service” a dozen times asking for the drivers information bc he stole $50 of my food and I tipped him to steal it! My goal was to report to the police. This is a misdemeanor offense 😂 They refused to give me any identifying information of the driver, every single rep kept the drivers info private and refused to tell me anything about the person sitting outside of my home taking pics of it then stealing my dinner. I had crab rangoons, fried potstickers, fried rice, beef and broccoli, it was a huge spread of all my favorite things, stolen from me after only eating a protein shake 14 hours prior. With a credit I couldn’t even use until the next day bc everyone was closed by that point.
Then after talking to co-workers, they tell me the Peoria area is filled with “drivers” who use each others accounts to go out and steal people's food. This is apparently ok. Will NEVER spend another penny on Uber Eats. Ridiculous service and treatment. And the drivers can steal as much money in your food as they want without repercussions.

This was a really frustrating experience. My delivery driver was clearly handling multiple orders before mine, which caused a huge delay. What should have been a quick delivery ended up taking over an hour, and by the time my food arrived, it wasn’t even worth the wait. On top of that, customer service was terrible. It was difficult to get any real help, and the responses I received felt dismissive and unhelpful. For the amount of fees charged, I expected much better service and communication. Overall, between the excessive wait time and poor customer support, this experience was extremely disappointing. I won’t be using this service again anytime soon.

Rude customer service representatives. They truly make it obvious that they don’t care how bad the service they provide is. They don’t try to empathize with customers or understand why a customer might be upset with not receiving the type of service that one would expect from such a prominent company. They obviously do not screen their delivery drivers or the companies they choose to work with because the quality of service from both is lackluster on a good day. I will never forget how terrible they treated me and how easy it seemed for anyone I talked to within this company to dismiss my awful experience with the service this company provided.

Uber Eats hides order time transparency and customer service access. Order time details are concealed for 24 hours, blocking customers from verifying delays. A sushi order arrived over an hour late, and support claimed that a 1 hour 40 minute wait was acceptable. Customer service response took 40 minutes, showing a clear lack of urgency. The complaint process itself is designed to ruin the meal—lengthy, unhelpful, and with no success. The system appears built to conceal delays, underpay drivers, and overcharge customers while making support nearly unreachable.
