Veterans United charged us a hefty fee for the services they provided, that we later learned most banks will provide for free. They sold our loan to a third party lender before the first payment was due, and the third party has been nothing but problems.

This is first house I ever bought and it was my first time using the VA Loan. Initially, I was nervous about the whole process, because this is a big purchase and big decision in my life. I didn't know anything about purchasing a house or even using the VA Loan. My loan and realtor team were very knowledgeable and assisted with any questions that I needed. Veteran United had plenty of resources and videos breaking down each step of the buying process. This also include technical terms that you don't use every day. I highly recommend to all my friends, families and veterans using their service. As a first time VA loan user and homebuyer they made my process from start to finish an easy process. This was easier than trying to get my DD-214 when I was trying to honorably discharge from the Navy.

I was recommended Veterans United and was a little unsure of using a company that wasn't based locally that I could deal with face to face. After the first phone call I was put at ease and couldn't believe all of the services that they offered. Austin and his team of professionals truly made the home buying experience so easy and smooth. They were easily accessible and always had answers. They set me up with a real estate agent that I could not rave more about. As the process moved along, they kept everything easy and explained every step that we would be taking, down to the smallest detail.

Started the process on 23 MAY 2020. Was told we would close “on or about 20 SEP”. End of JUL, my loan officer calls me to “see if you were still interested in the loan”... I had sent, electronically, the information she asked for SIX WEEKS earlier! They kept putting me off, kept needing re-dos on forms, kept changing the closing date, kept me in limbo all while promising they were getting close. I paid for an appraisal in AUG, they did not order one until OCT. I asked several times, due to their haphazard service, if I needed to find another lender. They always promised me that they were on top of the situation, and we were getting close. I would email required forms, and I would ask for updates. My loan officer would promptly reply in 3-4 days. As a precaution, I checked with a different provider.

Great place for veterans to go to. They made it fairly easy to get through the process. Thank God people like them around. They definitely go above and beyond their job. They step up and help veterans where most people don’t. Very helpful to me and other veterans I know. Josh and his office have been wonderful. Highly recommend them. The process is easy to apply for the loan is online. Any paperwork that require signature or turned in all can be done online. I highly recommend our veterans to go to this company and they don’t do just zero down home loans. They can do them all.

This company was horrible in my experience with them because they preapproved me for a VA home loan when they were not even supposed to because an issue they had with my payment history (wasn't an issue with other lenders). The problem here is that they will preapprove you so that they can get their commission, but then you go and spend money on an inspection and everything else that you have to pay to get a loan for them to turn around and tell you that you should have never been preapproved in the first place. I'm not saying this is always the case with everybody but I'm just warning you to be very careful because it happened to me and I hate to see other veterans taken advantage of by these people.

I tried other loan places and I definitely can say Veterans United gives the best service and looks out for their customers. Robert was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. I had limited credit history and they worked to get me a good APR.

I wouldn't recommend them. If they treat people who have not served in the army they ones who do should watch. I ask for a small loan to buy a home address East Market Street Williamstown PA. They sent me back a bunch of ** letters saying your score, your income, your loan is not approved I had through a Veterans Bank. Would be helpful but they're just scumbags like the rest of them.

My loan officer was amazing, she was patient, and understanding that I have a full time job. Amy talked me through every step of the process even on the weekends when she was off. Veterans United made it remarkably easy for me to upload any documents at any time of the day and night. Rheadawn was very courteous and helpful understanding the process and what I needed to do.

This is the second time we have used Veterans United to refinance different properties. We have recommended to our friends and family with varying degrees of satisfaction. The first time in 2016 was a breeze even with some hiccups along the way. Not sure if it was the Pandemic or just the load of other buyers and refinance loans going on that REALLY slowed down the process the second time. Took more than 2 months the second time.

I have a unique situation regarding a loan with the gov't, so I went to Veterans United because they advertise that they are great with these and VA issues. Unfortunately, they are not. They kept making promises about getting the information this week, next week, two more weeks, etc; I still haven't gotten what they promised me they would get 4 months later. Good thing we moved on from them or we wouldn't have been able to close on our house. We also kept receiving conflicting information about what documentation we needed to have. Nice people but I'm not going to trust my financial future to someone nice, I'd rather have someone that can keep their word.

As a first time home buyer, I'm so grateful to the whole Veterans United team for making buying a home such an easy process. They assigned me great realtors with lots of experience with VA loans, helped me determine my price range and monthly payments, helped me find trusted a inspector, appraiser, managed any additional organisation like HOA fees, and even got me set up with the services I need to set up (like trash, utilities, water, etc). They helped every step of the way so I could accomplish my tasks while working and didn't need to get bogged down in research. They saved me a ton of time and made the process so easy!

Every form was digital making signing and reviewing quick and easy. They gave me real-estate agent who was friendly, knowledgeable and went above and beyond. She even found me an excellent home inspector and a guy to cut my lawn. I am a ** woman and I never felt disrespected or unimportant. The entire process was smooth and rewarding.

I was assigned Jessica ** NMLS ID#** initially. We spoke through email and telephonically on multiple occasions during the pre-approval process. I explained everything surrounding income, expenses and work as well as provided all documentation necessary and requested. I was approved for a fairly low amount due to myself and my family moving across country and In order to increase the pre-approval amount She said to provide a letter from my prospective employer showing that I will have work once we relocate. This will be sufficient to compensate for lack of work history as well. I reached out to my future employer and asked if they would be willing to write one for me which they did and I forwarded it to her along with previous work history and schooling experience. From this step on red flags started to pop up.

I would highly recommend using Veterans United because you really don't have to lift a finger. They do all of the work for you. They are fast, professional, and they know what they are doing. From pre-approval to close, Carrie and Nina we so helpful, informative, and quick to respond to any of my questions. I wanted to Purchase a Condo in Dallas and although it's a can be a little more difficult due to some of the VA requirements, Carrie made sure that the place I found was VA approved and we started the process. I did all of my paperwork online and we closed in a very quick time frame. I submitted my initial contract on June 16th and closed on July 15th with the option to close on the 9th if I had wanted to! If you do the work on your end Veterans United will reciprocate and work just as hard. I highly recommend veterans united to anyone veterans looking to purchase a home! This is my second home purchased using my VA loan benefit. The first time I purchased using another company, it felt like I was back in the military, "hurry up and wait, that is just the process." With Veterans United, the process was seamless, information was clear, explained thoroughly, and the timeline they set was met as promised. Loan mitigation fraud during Covid. Veterans United has said they don’t question integrity when giving an applicant Covid relief on the mortgage. Nor did they seek consent for a jointly owned mortgage and allow fraudulent information to allow loans to get Covid relief for 180 days.

Just as I had thought, do not believe everything you hear or read about this company. No different than any other. Of course they have a lot of positive reviews. But are they from real customers or have those reviews been “paid for”? Doesn’t really matter. Because if your credit score meets their qualifications, then you will probably have no issues. With them or with any other company. My credit does not meet their qualifications. Which brings me to this site to write this review. After having my ass kissed for nearly 40 minutes about how wonderful Veterans United is and how great I am and how easy the process is and how much I will love my new home and how they can’t wait to put me in it... the “specialist” ran my credit. My score did not meet their threshold of 660. Ok. I knew that.

My lending team was very professional and persistent with information and answers I had questions about. It is hard to put trust in lenders nowadays but Kody and Holly took very good care of me and guided me through the process. This team I do trust.

My wife called them to get some information and they pulled my credit report without permission or even talking to me. We aren't looking at buying a home for at least another 6 months. Nathan, the "CEO" acts like 40 year old child along with his shady team of dufus employees. They are nothing more than a bunch of scammers taking advantage of veterans. When the time came to purchase a home and use my VA benefits, I was somewhat unsure of what that entailed, and if it could be done in the timeframe I needed. I reached out to Veterans United to determine if this was feasible for my situation, and if they could provide me any information to help in making a decision. After speaking with a loan specialist, Randelle, I felt very confident that we could get it done. VU provided a wealth of resources to explain the entire process in a user friendly manner that was easily comprehensible. My loan team went to work immediately and did not look back.

Everything was done in a timely manner. The representatives at Veterans United were prompt in letting us know what they needed. They returned our calls immediately. Our closing was done 13 days before the first closing date was given to us. Even though we could not go to our closing because of the shelter in place for both states, everyone worked together and it was closed on the date scheduled. Great customer service and were prompt to get things moving forward. Overall communication was consistent and effective. All transactions were done via email and the team I worked with called me whenever they needed something. It took about 2 months to close but we had some adjustments to make to our house to qualify for the VA loan prolonging the experience by about 3 weeks.

Not sure where all these reviews are coming from. My experience wasn't the best. I wanted to put a second home we are transitioning into under a VA mortgage. Our current home is under a VA mortgage. I explained in detail to both Jake and Jason what I wanted to do. Both said it wouldn't be a problem. I have excellent credit. As soon as I sent them all the required paperwork and allowed them to do a credit check they gave me a pitch to go conventional. Conventional means higher fees for them of course. Felt like a bait and switch.

At first the process started great. Then right before close the required disclosure had $6,000 of points which I did not agree to pay. We were told it would be $2,000 in points. I asked to review the recorded conversations and they could not find it even though our realtor was in speaker when we were discussing it. Don’t go through them!

Don't bother trying to get a VA Loan on a Manufactured Home with Veterans United. I was pre-approved and then put an offer on a manufactured home and they dropped me like a hot potato. They even told me to look for another lender. Not cool when you have deadlines to meet and need to find another lender. Will never do business with them again.

Although Veterans United is a business in the business of making money, they do so with the utmost care and respect our brothers and sisters deserve! They make the process as streamlined and easy as possible! Their website "To-do" list lets you know what they need and when they need it. Between the automated system and dedicated team assigned to you, communication from start to finish is top notch! I would recommend them hands down as the best in serving our needs!

We tried to buy ** in Houston. The day of closing I was told that I needed to come up with almost $20k because they were not going to do the escrow holdback that they offered me. I lost a lot of money since I paid into the house for some repairs to meet appraisal because they almost guaranteed I would get into the house. Found a bank that offered me more and is doing everything to get me to closing on a house almost twice the price and ten times as nice in less than half the time. Kim ** and her team were very polite but polite doesn't get one a home. Chad ** in Austin was horrible when I switched to the Tx Veterans Land Board hoping it would be better because that is what Chad promised.

They make the whole process so easy. Their "to do" list keeps every one on top of things with less risk of something being forgotten. My team was very accessible for all of my questions. Friendly and helpful.

Getting a loan through these folks was easy. My loan guy was friendly and returned calls and emails promptly. I was happy. Fast forward a few years. The way the administration office handled my husband's death was a horrible experience. First I get an email that said we need a court document proving I inherit. They made it sound like I was about to lose my home too! I emailed them back because I knew that wasn’t correct. Then I get an email where they say, "Oh ok. You don’t need to send us anything, but if you want your husband's name removed, you need to write to this department instead". Huh?

They set me up with a local real estate agent who welcomed me and chauffeured me and my family around town to look at homes. They are great to work with and have a simple easy to understand process that concisely displays all of your documentation in your online account as you progress through the home loan adjudication process.
