Vanderbilt Mortgage reps stayed in touch. If I called them, they never answered. But if I left them a voice mail, they returned my call within 45 minutes. I'd refer others to them.

They were helpful with keeping us up to date. They worked with us and called us. We were pleased with them. We recommend them cause it's not the first time we've been with them. The first home we had was with them and I just hope that this time, they keep it instead. Our first loan got sold to six different companies before we got it done.

Vanderbilt was great. Their rep was very nice and she explained everything in the paperwork very clearly in layman's terms. The process took hours but it didn't take that long.

The rate is a little high. But we were told it would be on a second mortgage. Overall, Vanderbilt was nice. They were polite and answered any questions and problems we had.

In the beginning, my experience was rough. It has been a long process. We're not even in our home yet. There was a lot of miscommunication. They would tell the home seller one thing, and my sales representative and I had to figure it out. At one point, they had to go really high up in Vanderbilt just to try to get answers. It was really confusing for us all. But towards the end, they got better. Once we got to the right people, everything was great. They're definitely a good company. Overall, it's been a good experience with Vanderbilt.

Our Vanderbilt experience was good for the time that we did all our paperwork. From application to approval, it didn't take no time. The process was pretty smooth. The guy that represented Vanderbilt is a nice guy, made us feel welcome and he answered all our questions that we had for them. I questioned everything he told us about the company. It was good. I'd tell others that Vanderbilt would be the wise choice place. They do a good job.

The process was really easy and it went really fast. It only took three weeks. My fiance and I had some crappy credit going on but they worked with us. Also, everybody at Vanderbilt communicates very well. When we stayed the first night, it stormed and we realized we had a roof leak. I reached out to the agent who showed us the house and she said to call customer service. They came out, assessed the damage and what was going on with the roof, and fixed it that day. They also handled our sliding door. We had to wait a week or so for the new sliding door to come in ad they took the old one out and installed the new one. It's beautiful and it's perfect.

Vanderbilt is easy to work with. I knew we were getting the house through, so I didn't have to worry too much. Vanderbilt took care of a lot of it for me. I like the guy that we were working with. He was good. The home is bigger than the old house that we lived in and a lot nicer than the one that we had at the time. The bigger kitchen is my favorite feature.

Contacting Vanderbilt during the process was pretty easy. If I had questions, they were pretty fast on it and if we need help on something that we don't understand, they would walk us through it. So far, everything has gone great.

We mostly worked with Rebecca. She was extremely helpful. We had went through the process with two other people. With the one right before we got in touch with Vanderbilt, we were a week from closing, and they told us that something had changed. They weren't able to work with us, and we needed to put $12,000 down instead of 3,000. We got in touch with Vanderbilt, and Rebecca helped us along. She kept us on track and made sure we had numbers right away and that those were accurate numbers instead of leading us along the whole time. We appreciated her help. She was quick about everything.

I've done my application with Vanderbilt over the phone and they were excellent. I liked how quick their responses were and everything was really good. Our communication was mostly done by emails and as soon as I would hit an email to them, within 30 minutes or so, I would look back and there'd be something in there that I needed. I've recommended somebody to them.

That aside, customer service was pretty good. If I had any questions, they would get back to me fairly quickly. On the whole, the process was pretty easy and it didn't seem to be too aggravating. Go ahead with Vanderbilt. They worked out pretty well.

But I wish the saleslady pushed me more to buy the home she showed me that was a little over budget. Other than that, she wasn't pushy at all and she was just trying to make sure I was comfortable with what I was purchasing.

If anybody wants to buy a home, buy it through Vanderbilt Mortgage because they work hard to get you in a home. Miss Summer, her boss and whoever else worked hard for us and got us in our home quicker than I would imagine. I'm blessed to have people like that in my life. I didn't think we would get it because our credit is not that good. So, I enjoy it. It was one of the easiest mortgages I've done. Anybody who asked me, I sent them Vanderbilt's way.

I went online, applied for the loan, and gave Vanderbilt my work history. My wife was going on a loan with me and she's a nurse, so she worked for two different places in the last few years and that was a little more difficult because we had to get all her background information. Then, when you ask questions online, sometimes it took a while to get an answer back and the communication sometimes was difficult. But other than that, it was a pretty simple process.

I worked with Jacob and he was very available and really good at explaining certain aspects and what needed to be done. I was happy with the process, although the end result was questionable. I would advise others to use Vanderbilt.

The experience with Vanderbilt was nothing too crazy. It was a typical home mortgage and the only problem I had was that they set a date for the mortgage to start and I haven't even moved in yet. I'm still waiting on the county permits and I can't even live in the house and I gotta pay for it. I spoke to the reps from Vanderbilt and they said they set the date up far enough. I asked if I can change it again if we’re not moved in yet and they said the first ones stuck. So, to give them a call if I haven’t moved in yet. Vanderbilt should wait until you get a certificate of occupancy by the county before they decide to schedule a due date.

Communicating with Vanderbilt verbally was very easy but I had some problems putting information in their web portal when they were needing information sent via that. Also, I'm old and retired. So, a lot of the stuff that they were wanting was hard to come up with on my part. I haven't worked in probably about 11 years. But overall, it was a good experience. Everybody was very friendly, willing to work and make the process easy for me.

When they set me up for my insurance on there, we already got an insurance company to go through and they switched us up without letting us know. I wouldn’t recommend them.

The loan process at Vanderbilt went smoothly. It was really good. We had a good relationship with the reps too. They helped us out a lot. They were really good at working with people.

It was a horrible experience. The title was all around. There were a lot of problems involved with it so it took us months to finish the loan process. It wasn’t all on Vanderbilt's part. It was majority of the title work that had to be done. But the process could be a little easier. A couple of reps were good with me about coming back and forth. Brittany was the rep that I worked. She was the best person I talked to through the whole process. She even contacted me afterwards to make sure everything was smooth and worked out good. I'm happy with her communication skills with me. Prior to that and after that, the communications weren't that great because nobody at Vanderbilt ever talked to each other. There was a lot of confusing stuff on there too that Vanderbilt's rules were different than a lot of the stuff that I've dealt with before.

The ease of their process was definitely a positive. We closed before our contract date. I was informed by a loan officer every step of the way. This was the easiest process because they were right on top of things. The rep answered the phone. If he didn't, he called me back within five minutes. He also responded to emails.
