Great rate with very minimal fees, and awesome customer service across the board. Did everything fully online or by phone and text. We were able to make an offer on a home and close in under 3 weeks on the financing side, which was a big plus for seller during the holiday season. Our biggest wrinkle was that the seller did have some concerns about our using an online lender they didn't know instead of a larger bank, but Tomo called them and the seller was ok with it after. Overall would use again and recommend based on experience. They don't offer HELOC or home equity loans, so if you are planning to renovate you'll need to find a different lender (not a huge deal, but worth knowing).

We were pretty knowledgeable coming into the process, and Michael respected that, but we also learned a lot from him. We worked with Peter ** to start our loan process, and while things seemed fine initially, the experience quickly turned into a nightmare. Despite a 60-day escrow, there were last-minute surprises right before closing. We were assured everything was on track until the week before closing—clearly, our loan was pushed to the back burner and only checked at the last minute. After closing, the problems didn’t stop. They failed to pay our property taxes, and there was no way to reach anyone for help. We called and texted multiple times with little to no response. Four months after closing, we started receiving lien notices because the tax bill was still unpaid.

Tomo offered us the best mortgage rate and promptly closed our property within the expected duration. The team was always available to answer our questions and ensured a very smooth process throughout.

After talking to 3 or 4 mortgage companies/lenders, Tomo beat their rate by enough that when I told the local agent I was working with prior he said there are either hidden fees or they have something he doesn't. They were professional and helpful. Now, our experience wasn't without issues and delays, but they reached out to us on a number of occasions letting us know WHO was causing the delay before the culprit themselves did (surveyor delays, title delays, etc.). Highly recommended. Normally, I'm against online business like this when I could instead support local, but between the price, the transparency in comparing rates and guarantees, it was a clear winner.
