I reached out to this company out of fear from IRS. This company promised to address the issues with the IRS. After signing the contract I had call regarding next steps. Someone sent me a business card with a form regarding all monthly expenses. Then NOTHING!!! However they continued to draft payments as scheduled. After several months with no contact, I canceled services. I feel scammed.

Our team is always willing to review our client's concerns to determine what we could have done differently to improve their experiences. I hired TDN to help with my IRS tax debt, hoping they could at least reduce the interest payments. Unfortunately, they were unable to do so. I'm particularly disappointed because during our initial phone conversation, they gave me false hope. All they did was file paperwork and set up an installment plan, which I could have done on my own. The service was not worth the money, and I would not recommend TDN to anyone.

It's always a priority of ours to ensure our clients are receiving the benefit of our services. While this may, at times, include a penalty abatement, this particular reduction has requirements that not all clients meet. We are sorry to hear this has impacted your perception of our services but appreciate your honest feedback.

Tax Defense Network said they would refund my $875 on June 10th. July 11th I was reassured my refund is being processed. Today is July 16. My patience with TDN Manager Marcel ** has too long endured. Associates Gerald **, Karle ** have done NOTHING to help with a simple question. TDN has shown zero evidence of doing ANYTHING as a one day client. TDN is a fraudulent group. My next step is contacting the Florida District Attorney, Better Business Bureau; National Chamber of Commerce; TDN retailers and competitors; CPAs and Financial Consultants in Florida, California;

TDN spam called my phone 2 dozen times over the course of a day as well as sent text messages about a completely unprompted and non-existent "tax issue". I've never had an issue with my taxes, never filled out a survey or some such, or anything that could've led to being cold-called about this. Hitting people up with spam waves like this is the hallmark of a fraudulent company intent on wringing unknowing (and often elderly) people for money. I was not the only one affected, two friends of mine also got their spam calls and texts over the last week.
TDN offers no legitimate service, there is no magic wand they can wave to reduce your taxes like they claim and the new "tax relief" programs they use in their robocalls and texts to advertise straight up do not exist. They are even under investigation by the FCC, just look up Arstechnica's article "FCC to block phone company over robocalls pushing scam “Tax Relief Program”.
Their MO is to figure out what you would be paying to the IRS under a normal tax repayment agreement and instead charging you that amount for themselves without ever fixing anything!! They're just trying to position themselves as wholly unnecessary middlemen and taking advantage of desperate people. I tried to call back a couple times to get any information I could, like how they got my number or what was this supposed new tax program and every time they would hang up immediately once they realized I wasn't a mark, couldn't get a single word out of them.
All it takes is one look at their reviews across the internet and on other sites like Yelp to see the pattern of cold-calling, spam texts, and robocalls. Stay far, far away from this company and if you get their spam calls just report them as such and block their number. You can see in their responses to other similar reviews on this very page are just trying to save face by the mere technicality that they never actually claim to be able to lower your taxes and that customers are instead paying for some nebulous "service".

Feel free to reach out to Tax Defense Network. They requested I call them back regarding my parents and their "unpaid taxes." When I asked what data they had on unpaid taxes they hung up immediately. When I let them know the vm message they said there was nothing they could do about it and refused to escalate to a supervisor. They finally transferred me to P who asked if I had nothing better to do with life to which I responded nothing better than protecting vulnerable seniors. I complimented both P and S at having great communications skills and asked if there was a way for them to support their families while not taking advantage of mine. To this inquiry I received laughing. So sad to take advantage of people this way. I have empathy to a point but not about my parents. And to clarify, we all work with a long term accountant so there would be nothing not paid. Just a scam to scare them.

Please do not waste your time with this company. After paying over $2000, there are no calls from anyone, but my account was drafted regularly. I had reached out several times, and promised that calls would be returned—-well, I’m still waiting and my pockets are lighter. I’m saddened that I was scammed, but if I can help anyone. Please don’t use this company!!

I reached out to Tax Defense Network 2 years ago about federal back taxes owed in California. After 2 years a few days ago l get a text from Omar with a screenshot of my tax letter that l have until December 25 to resolve this matter. I have not heard from anyone in months. I called Sara, left voicemail and called the customer service number to get in contact with her no calls. I called today and she finally answered and tells me ,"If you need us to talk to the IRS is going to cost you $1000." Wow, this is the reason Sara and her team sent me that screenshot a few days ago. My deadline is on December 25, 2023. Don’t waste your money on this company. They really don’t help you.
From the beginning l was the one doing all the work. I got this service to help me, not put me in a worse situation. This company shouldn’t be in business. Sara and her whole team and company are useless people who call themselves professionals. I could have paid the money l spend on Tax Defense Network to the IRS because they were super expensive and they didn’t do nothing for me. Please people don’t use this company, 2 years from now you will be in my shoes if you use them to help you.

Reached out to Tax Defense Network almost 2 years ago about back taxes owed to the state of Maryland. And after all this time, I'm in no better position than I originally was. Tax analyst? I doubt it.

They should be put out of business! My taxes are a mess. They tried to correct what they did wrong and made it worse. Now I can't even call them because all the numbers I have are disconnected! Warning. Do not use them!!!

It’s true they don’t answer emails! I’ve reached out since last Friday and including today and no one responds. I’ve decided to do a chargeback since the service isn’t being provided. I wasn’t even given a time range for when my taxes would be done after I submitted everything. I worried after so many negative reviews. I had provided all my info which is worst. They seem polite when they respond to these complaints but their business practices lack ethic. If you don’t respond to your customers close the shop. It’s been over a week and no response so my money was charged before they delivered the service which I think it’s illegal and no service provided yet.

We're happy to have been able to turn this client's experience around. It's been wonderful working with them to achieve a positive outcome for their tax matters!

Bad experience. Lawyer didn’t listen or care. Got me an unaffordable settlement. I don’t recommend. Kenneth ** didn’t try hard for me. I’m not sure who he was working for. I would stay away from them.

I called this company because I have unfiled tax returns and I knew they would have to be filed and would cause a huge debt. They charged over 3500.00 to do nothing. 1. I FILED MY TAXES. 2. I HAD TO CALL IRS. SPENT 4 HOURS TO GET A PAYMENT THAT I COULD EVEN HALFWAY AFFORD. They assigned a guy by the name Kevin b to my case at first. Per IRS records he called once. Got me on a tiered payment plan. However when he called all my tax debt had not posted so when it did (which he was aware of this) and should of known when the other posted that the payment plan he put me in would (DEFAULT) which it did. So I called back. They opened my case back up and the manager Matthew got my case worked. However after delay delay delay for him to keep telling me he will get with his LICENSED TAX PROFESSIONAL. He said the best they could do is get IRS to give me a HIGHER PAYMENT PLAN THAT WHAT I WAS ON.
He said it is their policy. So he could not explain to me why I would pay them to get me a higher payment than I was on. Keep in mind they got ZERO of my IRS tax debt forgiven. Also keep in mind IRS can tell you how many times they call on your behalf. My call record with them was a total of 2 times. This company can do nothing for you. Do not waste your money. The money you pay them put it toward your IRS debt. Because you will end up having to pay all of it anyway. I will be disputing all payments they have taken from me and going forward. One last thing. They will come back here and respond. They contacted me X amounts of times but trust me those calls were worthless and told me nothing the IRS had not already told me. They call and email to log communication. THAT IS IT.

This company is terrible, they don't reply to emails or return phone calls, all they want is your money. After 2 years all they did seems like they just copied and pasted my options from the CA Ftb website something I could have done myself, they did absolutely nothing for me but take my money. Save your money and hire a different company.

We paid TDN $6000 to file back taxes and set up a payment plan. We received an email August 2021 stating the last return from 2019 had been filed and our payment would be X amount per month. We just received a bill for $29000 due March 7, 2022 because TDN didn't do the job We paid them to do. Save your money.

What a poor excuse for a company claiming to be your guide with the IRS. For starters I don’t believe anyone there uses their real names. They only call you when your bill is due. They avoid answering any real questions. "We have your back and we will do our “Best” to resolve your issue with the IRS." I actually believe based on wasting more than 18 months and almost $10,000 that they work with the IRS to get you to pay as much as possible. They are a IRS commissioned company. Based on the deal they “worked out” and got me to sign before they got what I needed to pay the IRS was proof enough for me. When I asked if the issue with lifting a lien on my property was handled they said, "If you pay us another $10,000 maybe we can help you with that." What a waste of time!!

The sales rep told me on my first call to them that a lot of companies give a price for services and then come back with additional fees. He said they never did that. I owe 5 years of taxes and to the best of my knowledge two have been filed. I repeatedly called several staff members and NO ONE would call me back. On one of the two years filed, they made a mistake that made it look like I was trying to scam IRS by declaring a dependent that had filed themselves. Then they told me I needed to pay an additional $3,800 to have them request a “fresh start”. I’m doing it myself after telling them that they could clearly see that I could not afford to pay their additional fee. Don’t use this company; they don’t care about the fact that they are scammers and have no problem taking your money, whether you have it or not. BBB gives them an A+ rating. Smh!

I contacted this organization back in December 2019. Spoke to a gentleman by the name of Zachary **. I explained to him that I had recently had another agency working on my taxes and didn’t feel they were much help. Told him the situation and he assured me they could do a better job. He told me about the process and how much it was gonna cost and applied for the loan for me. The cost was $5.000 dollars. I was connected with Kristina **, who was awesome, however, she told me the same thing the first tax guy did. So with that being said, I still owed over 10,000 in taxes and now on top of that the $5.000 for the loan to pay them. This guy is a liar and I would have been better off just going with the other agency. They make promises they do not keep. Keep your money and find a reputation company. The only reason I gave them 2 stars was Kristina was so nice and helpful and I am sure she didn’t know the promises Zachary made.

Please don't contact this company for any help with your IRS problems. They sell you a dream. They should be out of business. The staff there work like they're part-time. I would suggest you deal direct with the IRS. Will save you time and a peace of mind.

We obtained services from the Tax Defense Network back at the end of October of 2019. Here it is almost the end of February, and absolutely NOTHING has been done. We paid over $6,000.00 and am completely disgusted with the service we have received. Every time we call to get an update it becomes a song and a dance of confusion. Nobody there knows what each other is doing. We've had to resend paperwork multiple times (which costs money to do) due to it being misplaced, or "I don't see it in the file". Every time it is another excuse. The IRS has now levied our bank account, after being told that they would be contacted. The IRS was NEVER contacted by this firm. Don't waste your money with the Tax Defense Network. We're better off trying to deal with the IRS ourselves.

I hired these crooks to help me with my tax situation and after paying them over $23000.00 of my money I am still having issues with the government about my taxes. These crooks have not helped me at all. They were supposed to reach out to the IRS about my situation and never did. I was and still am receiving threatening letters from the IRS and the tax network was supposed to handle all of this for me. I was told by one of these crooks that they had not received any information from the irs about my situation but the irs seems to think differently. Stay away from these guys. They are not professional, all they want is your money and after 6 months of dealing with them and paying 340.00 per month I am still in debt with the IRS. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THE TAX NETWORK, PLEASE. FIND ANOTHER OPTION!!!

I paid over $4,000 for absolutely no help. They did not lower or negotiate anything for me. I am still paying the bill and I am still accruing interest and penalties annually. Over 2 years paying $11000 a year and what I owe has gone down $8000. They may be worse than the IRS.

Paid $7000+ for a tax resolution to significantly reduce tax debt. Solution provided was a CNC (currently not collectible). After further research found we seriously overpaid for this solution. The sales person did not respond to inquiries and another representative said the salesperson was not qualified to present us with the solution that we were sold on. We should be entitled to a partial refund, but cannot find a resolution process to apply with.

Just know if you go with these people that the person filing your tax will be a preparer and not a professional, which they try and sell to you later with webinars. They also closed an agreement without speaking to me first. Such as; non-payment, which would allow for it to go on my credit report. Why do they think, people would be okay with having bad things on their credit report? I barely communicated with Linda **, Service Partner. Slow to emails, and they let you know it is easier to email. I am shelling out $4500 for this work, and I got nothing, she waited until my second payment was due before she called. Then 3 days after she said it was closed, and told me how it was going to be on my credit now, cause I can't pay. Well hell, I rather starve than have that on my credit. How frustrating she decided that without even discussing it with me before the fact. I swear that is so unprofessional.

First, it like to say my tax agent was excellent, patient and very helpful. However the initial phone call with who signed me up basically tells you anything you want to hear, kind of like a desperate used car salesman, pretty much full of **. After talking to customer service about the first broken promise, they gave me a minimal discount. Then I had had to call customer service again, due to another broken promise by the initial agent, and this time I was told she would be talked to about it. AGAIN, DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU ARE TOLD BY THE INITIAL PHONE CALL!!!! The tax agent that helped me was awesome!!!! Just

Three years ago I called this company and spoke with someone who sounded like they knew their stuff, so I paid $1500 to get started. So I get an Email stating they assigned me an attorney to handle my affairs on the matter, so I emailed this so called attorney. We exchange numbers so I call him and this guy that sounds like he is in need of a drink, so I relayed to him my situation. He goes on to tell me I need to file the back taxes to get started. So I get hold of the IRS to get my W2s to update my taxes. So I email them to him, at this time The Defense Net emails me and states they need a total of $2200 to resume my case so I send them $2200 more to resume.
A month goes by I call this attorney to see an update, he tells me he has not finished with my taxes. At this point I'm getting frustrated 'cause I am receiving garnishment letters. So I take it upon myself to file my back taxes and get it done in a day, so I call the attorney and get no answer so I send Emails. No reply. Then I call the IRS to see if my attorney has spoke with anyone there. They tell me no but my garnishment is in effect and a levy on my checking account is in the process.
So I talk to an agent to find out what needs to happen to stop all this. They tell me I need to pay an ungodly amount which I cannot afford. So after 3 months of no contact with the attorney I receive an email stating my taxes were already filed. (No kidding.) I call the attorney. No answer so I leave a lengthy message stating I filed my own taxes and called the IRS myself. 1 hr later I get a call from the attorney. He proceeded to tell me what is it he can do for me, I proceeded to tell him he can give me my money back considering he did nothing. He says I will have to take that up with TDN. So I call them. They tell me they can assign me another attorney but I will not get my money back. So come down to it I lost out on $3700 to do my own work and a levy of my checking account in the range of $5600 nonrefundable. IRS left 2 cents in my account so it wouldn't close. So ** TDN.

I would not recommend Tax Defense Network to anyone. After 10 months of delays, my tax liability increased by $30,000 and the only thing accomplished was a four month postponement of my IRS debt. Nearly everything that was promised was a scam. Stay away is my advice...
