The first rep I worked with was slightly unresponsive, but the one who then took over that completed the work, I'd highly recommend. She was very thorough and efficient. She was really good. I would recommend Tax Defense to others as well.

Don't waste your money. These people are cons, they will push your process out for a year or two. At the end they was settled for a payment plan that you can do on your own. Very hard to get them on the phone and don't respond back to emails. You can contact the IRS yourself. You can negotiate with the IRS yourself. These scams are not needed. Jwana ** is a person that assigned to me. Don't waste your money.

Laval, as our team has had the opportunity to discuss with you in the past, we understand the outcome of your services was not what you were expecting. However, our company must abide by all IRS processes and procedures and when an ability to pay is evident, without extenuating circumstances, there is no reason for a taxpayer not to do so. At the time I got Tax Defense Network, I thought they were better qualified. But I'm not the happy camper they think I am. They had me in a deferment plan. The debt is over two years old and they claimed that it's almost to the point where they can't collect on it. This time around, they should have been able to get me a tax forgiveness, but they keep saying I'm not qualified for it. I'm being double-charged with tax because I'm paying them for the same thing I paid for two years ago. They're not worried about my concerns and keep telling me what they did. I'm not satisfied with them at all.

We understand wanting to measure the length of tax debts by the year they are associated with, but it is best to compare when the debt was actually assessed. Our team would be happy to discuss your collection statute expiration dates (CSEDs) and the resolution options provided by our company to provide a more thorough understanding of the services our team has provided to you.

I've seen a couple advertisements on TV about Tax Defense Network as well as heard some nice things about them. I did a little research and thought, "Let me give them a try." Enrollment went quite well. There were two different conversations, which didn't take very long at all, and they answered all my questions. They've been very helpful in getting my individual taxes for year '23 and '24.

I worked with two people from Tax Defense. One guy was really easy and good to work for. He kept me updated and explained a lot of situations to me. The second person that I was dealing with was Jawanda, and she was amazing, too. They knew exactly what they were talking about. They handed all of the information to me, told me exactly what to expect, what I needed to know and the whole nine yards. They worked with me and let me make payments. So, that was awesome. Tax Defense did their job and it relaxed my train of thought. I got the paperwork from Tax Defense to go home and everything was worked out, but the IRS turned my debt over to a collection agency. So I have to pay the collection agency now.

It’s been almost two years and still nothing has been officially filed with the IRS. Every call I receive from this company is nerve-racking. I provide every piece of information that is required. Even after combing through with a fine-tooth comb. Six months past then now we have to resubmit everything because it has expired. I feel as if the run around is calculated. I waited so long to write a review in fear of retaliation. Because they have ALL of my personal information. After thousands of dollars, hundreds of phone calls, hundreds of emails. Still nothing has been found. I’m ready to sue for my money back now. Stress-free my ***!!! Now, a whole new tax year is about to start and I guarantee they will need more information. I wish there was an option for no stars!!! What a Joke of a company!!!

I was referred to Tax Defense Network and I had a few hiccups at the beginning. The language barrier with the person that I was originally working with was awful. It sounded like she was just reading off a script and really didn't have time for me. Tax Defense Network needs to be very careful. I understand that everybody's entitled to have a job, but if there's a language barrier, that needs to be addressed, especially if somebody's just reading from a script. I was making some important decisions and I needed to be able to understand exactly what I was signing up for.
I requested to be assigned a different person and the language was great. But again, it was like they didn't have time for me. The rep that I was assigned to was okay with answering questions, but her supervisor, Jessica, was much better. She had a little more of a customer service feel when I asked questions rather than pushing me aside and giving me a general statement. "We really don't know how to answer this. But here's what we can tell you." It wasn't fluid.
Also, when it came down to the final arrangement with the IRS, the amount that Tax Defense Network first told me was incorrect. I was almost gonna be paying close to twice as far as what I'm paying now. That part of it was a little dicey for me. My experience was stressful, especially when the wrong dollar amount was disclosed. The IRS even sent me documents for the wrong dollar amount. I had to get a little pushy and say, "That's not what I agreed to. I'm not signing off on this. You guys need to fix this." I was able to back it up because I had the email from the supervisor, then they said, "We're making the adjustment. We have to reach out to the IRS." It was another almost two months before it all got resolved. Now that it's resolved, I'm feeling some relief.

The first person that I worked with at Tax Network, Demetria, was non-responsive. It was months. I had a deadline to meet for my daughter's FAFSA application. It was just poor communication. Then also initially, I had financed half of the amount I would pay for Tax Network’s services and then would pay the other half. I mailed in a check. But they stopped my services for weeks because of nonpayment. But it wasn't supposed to be that way. There were a lot of delays. I've also worked with Heather and I just didn't feel like she was very friendly. I was also supposed to get a refund at one point because I was paying for services and I was not getting services. But I never received any type of refund.

I had several different individuals that helped me at Tax Defense. Everyone was very helpful. I did have a situation where there was a breakdown in communication and I was dropped as a client. But after an explanation of what took place, I was quickly brought back on, and as a consequence, my case was able to continue. So that situation was reconciled. From there, I've had nothing but a great experience and my case dragged on for years.
Tax Defense was very forthright and truthful with me in terms of letting me know that my tax bill wasn't gonna go away, but it could be negotiated to something that could work out and I could handle. They didn't sugarcoat anything. They didn't have any false propaganda. I really appreciate Tax Defense for that because most of these companies will tell you and even have these false testimonials about people having these tax bills that went away.

I like the person that did my taxes. He was good. I liked all the questions that he answered. The process was a little bit too long to get all the information together when I provided them all the information they needed. There was a follow-up that I had after my taxes were filed because the numbers didn't correlate from what the IRS had versus what we submitted. But even if it was a year late, the fee should not have been so high. I followed up on that but never heard back from anybody.

Horrible company! I went to them with a problem and they never return calls. The lawyer they assigned to me left the company and left me with a mess! 8,000 later, I had to hire another company. I have 15 emails from me trying to reach him. I would not recommend them. Please stay away, they only made my problems worse.

I would not recommend working with Tax Defense Network. Communication was terrible from the start — they rarely answered my questions and often came across as rude or dismissive. What the salesperson promised and what I actually received were two completely different things. Nicole and Jennifer, the tax consultants assigned to my case, were unhelpful and hard to reach. They did not provide clear updates or follow through on what they said they would do. In the end, I feel like I just threw my money away. There was no real progress made on my case and no value for what I paid. If you’re considering using this company, be very cautious and make sure you get everything in writing before agreeing to anything.

I wanted to get my debt under control. Tax Defense does it step by step, like finding out the total debt that I was trying to eliminate and then they set up a program. The first couple of people that I had talked to had very little communication, and then they set me up with someone else. Initially, everything started off great. But then they progressively became complacent, and then it got worse and worse. They helped me out quite a bit, but some of the main things that I was focusing on, they kind of left me out. And now I’m at this point where I just have to try to rectify the situation. But overall, it was good. I have pretty much completed it.

I signed up for Tax Defense Network’s personal debt relief program. My IRS bills were getting out of hand so I had to do something about it. I talked to three people. I gave them my name and all my information and told them what my problem was. They called me back a couple days later and said, “Okay. We got your bill.” They lowered my bill a little bit so I was happy with that. But I wish they would have been more upfront about how much the bill was, because I was paying them pretty much what they knocked down off the bill for the IRS. It came out even. I found some money and paid my whole bill off.

I strongly advise against using Tax Defense Network. I paid nearly $10,000 for tax resolution services, and their handling of my case was negligent, unethical, and harmful, resulting in an additional $142,000 in IRS liability. They assigned personnel with clear conflicts of interest, including someone who resigning to go work for the IRS while working on my case. This is a serious ethical violation that directly impacted the management of my account. My IRS matter was not resolved, only postponed, and their mismanagement of the State of Oregon portion of my case led to garnishments and additional financial harm.
Communication was disorganized and unprofessional. I repeatedly had to redo paperwork, and my concerns were ignored or mishandled for months. Their actions constitute misrepresentation and breach of contract, as the services promised were not delivered, and my financial position worsened under their management. The lack of accountability, oversight, and client care caused extreme financial, personal, and mental harm. Tax Defense Network’s failures are not minor errors, they are systemic and directly harmful to clients. I do not recommend this company under any circumstances.

I had a large tax debt and didn't know where to turn. I contacted Tax Defense Network for help and they assigned Craig ** to handle my case. He was professional, friendly, understands tax law and presented my case to the IRS. He remained in contact with me all through the process and brought my tax issues to a reasonable conclusion. I had six years of unpaid taxes. When I spoke with Tax Defense Network on the phone, they said they could help me find information and get documents. They said they would get in touch with me. It sounded reasonable at the time. Thinking I was gonna get a lot of help from them, I moved forward.
The only thing they did is filled out my tax forms, sent them to me to sign, and told me to mail them in, which didn’t help with the situation at all. They just got the transcripts from the IRS. I still spent nine months myself trying to track down data and information and I had to complete it all myself. When it came time to negotiate with the IRS, all Tax Defense said was it was a small enough amount and I need to negotiate it myself. They could’ve done what they said they would do, help me find the documents, write letters on my behalf, and negotiate. They never told me that the $4,000 or the $3,800 I paid was for having the tax preparation person do the taxes only. They told me that if they were going to negotiate on my behalf, they would have to charge me more.
The only good thing is they had always been kind to me when I talked to them on the phone. The lady who filled out the taxes seemed knowledgeable, and it didn’t appear to me that she missed anything. They could have gotten more information that might have improved my tax situation a little. But I paid nearly $4,000, an awful lot of money, for not very much help. Now I’m still having hardship making those tax payments.

The services contracted and provided were the professionally prepared federal and state tax preparations for a multitude of years. This did involve assistance in gathering documents and information needed to secure you the best possible outcome in terms of refunds and balances.
Our team also provides additional tax services, which includes the negotiation and establishment of installment agreements, but this was not a service included in your contract.
We are sorry to hear that this realization has cast a negative shadow over all of the other work our team has provided to you and hope the benefit of our services will outweigh this issue when you look back on this in the future.

I got a letter from the state of North Carolina and Tax Defense Network was one of the first Google hits I got. Enrolment was all pretty good. But overall, I’m disappointed in the Tax Defense Network as far as providing me any information. I got absolutely nowhere using them. They told me they would do this big, thorough investigation but they just told me how much I owe. So it seemed wasteful of my time and money.

I received from the IRS a statement saying that I owed them several thousand dollars in back taxes from this past tax year. I received another one from Indiana Department of Revenue that I owed them over $2,000 in taxes. I was swamped with other other things that I had and I just couldn't do that. I needed help. So I contacted Tax Defense Network and asked if I could apply for financial relief. They were able to stop a lot of the interest from occurring. They were able to have the IRS to put my case into nonpayment right now. But once I get the money, I still have to pay it. But with my Indiana case, they abandoned me on that. They said they couldn't get anywhere with Indiana. So, I was on my own on that.
Tax Defense Network made the process real easy for me through my emails and text messages. They walked with me through that. So, that was pretty good. I enjoyed working with Veronica. She was professional and cordial. The payments was not too big. It was in my limits at that time. But I'm not satisfied of how things turned out. The price was too much. Tax Defense should reconsider getting some other attorneys because some of that stuff, I was able to find out other information that the attorneys should have been able to acquire before I did.

The young girl that I was working with told me she would set up a telephone appointment. I'm old. I don't move around quickly. So when she said, “At one o'clock on Friday,” I said, “Okay. I'll be here.” I sat with my phone, waiting for her to call. I don't move around real quick, so I wanted to make sure I didn't miss my phone call. She didn't call at scheduled time and this happened on more than one occasion. This young girl was trying to gaslight me and then ultimately, I started second guessing myself, but then I proved to myself I was correct. She kept saying, “I'm gonna send you an email.” I never got the email. She’s been made to act like, “Oh, well, it's probably in your spam folder.” But it was never in my spam folder.
Just because I'm old and I move slowly doesn't mean I'm not intelligent. I'm not real tech savvy, but I do know how to open an email. I do know how to get to my spam account. But this young girl was always trying to make it like it was my fault. I would have to send her messages saying, “Did you forget at one o'clock today, our appointment?” Then I would get a phone and she'd tell me, “No, it's in two days.” But in two days, it's Sunday, and they don't work on Sundays.
When I decided to contract with Tax Defense, I was hoping to relieve the tax mess that I had. I didn't expect to have to beg for it. Tax Defense didn't do things that they were supposed to. They placed blame on something else. It got to the point where I could never get a hold of this young lady. I asked to speak to another representative. I wasn't getting off the phone till they gave me her boss or somebody else to talk to. When they did, that woman was very helpful. But the girl that I was working with ended up calling me back. So I ended up having to deal with this one girl that I was having a hard time with. I don't like that Tax Defense doesn't care. They got their money. They were done with me.

Tax Defense sent me my copy of everything, including my taxes. At first, I thought Tax Defense was a fraud. But the rep informed me that she wasn't fraud, and that she was legit. So, she kept calling and kept up with me. She also texted and emailed me. The process was easy. I was having trouble on my emails and she made it even easier because she sent the forms and I filled them out and then take pictures of them and send them. So, she helped me out a whole lot to make sure it got done. Tax Defense was wonderful on that part. They were good to work with. They helped me.

My experience with Tax Defense was good for the most part. The only problem is you really can't understand anybody because it's mainly foreign people. You can't really understand their English sometimes. But other than that, the customer service has been all right. I got off the phone with them earlier because I'm still getting letters from the IRS about a levy. I don't understand how I'm still getting letters if they're helping me. But the woman told me not to worry about it, so it's good.
