Read your paper work carefully especially the annual percentage rate and amount financed. They tell you it's one thing and once you read it's totally different and you're stuck with it. The % was 31.450 which is ridiculous.

1. Bait-and-Switch: they will offer to lower your interest rate, but when you go in to do the paperwork, you will find out you have to take out more money to get the lower rate. In addition, there is some fuzzy math they do...take a calculator and be savvy about loans when you. They are banking on you not being good with numbers.
2. If you set up automatic withdrawal, make sure you are checking it on the date it is supposed to be withdrawn. They will claim they couldn't get it through. I called my bank and the bank said there was never an attempt. Luckily, I stay on top of my bills and didn't get a late charge. I got fed up just requested to pay of my loan, then they suddenly had 'computer issues' (this has happened a few times with this company on payments). I think they are trying their hardest to make customers accrue late fees.
3. If you must deal with them, take note, it's like sleeping with rattlesnakes...keep one eye open because this company is banking on you not watching.

This has been my worst experience EVER with any type of loan! I borrowed $2000. I paid back almost $5000! I went in the office to ask them why my balance kept increasing as I increased my monthly payments and my payment amounts and the only reason they could give me was due to my high interest rate!!! This company reeks of BS and I will tell as many people as I can to NEVER do any type of business with them!!! This is a very crooked company! As I stated in the title, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!

Company sends 'loan' check to me, I didn't apply for/inquire for/sign for. Attached was a paper stating vague terms included insurance for death, job loss etc. Loan terms stated minimal info. Thought check was fake but wasn't. Googled RF & they are non-accredited and F rating with ex-staff & client's complaints & exposure as a scam.
Death in family occured, I called to verify the loan payment freeze (stated in paper). Was told I didn't have a 'loan'. I had a 'live check' & that I did not have the insurance. The check says LOAN. Lied. Said they were part of Wells Fargo (their LENDER is WF). I said remove this & the 4 hard pulls done on my credit in the last 40 days...Who does that after sending a "loan"? BAIT & SWITCH. I called. Said, "When did I get to see terms & conditions", was told 'you were told over the phone'. I said, "Pls send me the recording (says calls are recorded)." Employee says, "We don't record calls." I say fine & hang up. Letter comes from attorney (collection agency) saying lawsuit etc...I call. Say "Provide me with recording, application for loan, signed paperwork, etc." The LAW FIRM HAS A HORRIBLE RATING TOO! I received paperwork, nothing I requested was in it. Called back attorney, was threatened & cursed out. HORRIBLE SCAM.

First of all I have paid my loan on time every time for the past 10 years or so. Paid 3 or 4 loans off. They are sending me letters all the time saying we have 3-5k waiting for you. They got a new manager. The past 2 months I have gotten late notices even though they know it goes out 3 Wed of the month. The bank is slow not me. They can't seem to figure out a way to co change the due date. I phoned in a small loan of 3k on Friday. Lady told me, "Call back Monday." I called there 10-12 times, rang 10 roughly then went to voice mail. Called back this am no approval yet. It's now Tuesday. 12 pm no call back. Got thru to her. She said the loan was never pushed thru and she would call me back in an hr. She called me back, told me, "Great news. You have been approved for 2k." Told her was looking for 3k not 2. More than likely they did not feel like redoing the loan papers. I told them to forget it. Will just put it on one of my credit cards.

I can honestly say that dealing with this company is the absolute worse experience that I've ever had with a loan company. The office manager there is just rude, heartless and does not need that position period! Yes a loan company is to pay back the money borrowed and with this company I was not paying attention to the check. They mail you out to lure you in because I was waiting on a personal check from insurance company. Will be so thankful when I can get if I live to see it the last red cent that I owe them period.
I would not recommend this company and especially this branch to anyone. Trust me you will truly regret it. One thing I will say to her when it is paid off you never know what you might wake up to one morning like I did when I was able to work, cause if I was able to still work you sure wouldn't have ever seen me in your office and hate that I have to now! I have loans with other companies and NEVER BEEN TREATED OR TALKED TO AS BAD AS HER! And to the corporate office that I've already spoke with would love for you just to bring someone in and her not know it and listen to how your customers are being treated and talked to there. And you making a killing off of the poor!

During this process they sent him a civil suit so he turned over to his lawyer and when went to bankruptcy court they were the only collectors who showed up demanding 50 dollars more a month...
They are the worse loan place I've ever heard of. They deserve to be put out of business... They send live checks to your home knowing some people are having it bad and it's gonna be hard to not use the check. Do not use this company. There is something wrong with this company and how they treat people. I'm a manager of a place that does this same thing but difference is our company and all companies like this have charge offs... They offered to loan me $1100.00 more 2 months after starting payment on that initial loan, and charged me as if I borrowed the balance of what I owed for the initial loan plus the $1100.00. This meant I had to pay over $8k for a little over $2k. After mentioning to the representative how I will pay this off quickly, she continued to hold this long distracting conversation while pushing all of these signature pages in my face for me to sign... Not realizing I was signing that I borrowed the remaining balance when I really didn’t. She made me believe they were adding another $100.00 to my initial monthly payment and paying that from now on until it was paid. That was all lies. I contacted the attorney and the Republic office. I went in set up to have payments drafted twice a month. The manager said that she couldn't give me a balance at that time because she hadn't heard back from the attorney.
Fast forward 8 months and they STILL have not provided me with any balance or proof of payments etc. They also filed additional papers against my wife who wasn't on the loan. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! It's a total rip off! For starters, my husband and I took out a title loan in 2012 for a total of $5,000. Our payback amount was close to $10,000! Before the loan was paid out, my husband decided to take out another loan of $3,000. That started the loan over again and the balance was over $8,000! Again, he stupidly wanted to take out yet another loan WITHOUT MY CONSENT some years later, this time for just $1,000. The balance jumped from $6,000 to over $8,000! I didn't realized he took out another loan until I noticed the balance PLUS I received a denial letter from the company.
I visited the branch and they told me that the loan is no longer my responsibility and that it was paid out and refinanced through my husband only! Why would they send him a denial letter but really approved him of the loan? And how was he able to do this when we BOTH are on the loan? This company is very dishonest and I shouldn't be responsible for this added stuff on my credit report!

The company did not believe despite photos and doctor's information. They refused to speak to my wife and demanded to speak to me while still in a coma by the way. So, payments were now late but arrangements were made. This company then decided to take us to court. We went through mediation and agreed on an amount to repay monthly with zero interest or fees. Well, they have continued to charge interest on every payment despite the judges signed order. Contacted mediation and they contacted Republic Finance. Republic Finance said they have the right to continue to charge their high interest. So, now we will take them to court for not honoring this court agreement.

You can't tell me one thing... getting my hopes up and then tell me another thing!!!" I work at a loan company myself so I personally know how to deal with stuff like this!!! THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!!! I received a $1200.00 loan from them??? No I didn't finish paying them but I did pay for a year $118.00 per month which is approximately $1200.00??? So I never seen a difference in the balance so I stop paying them. I was left with a balance $1900.00 after all my payments. I was also told that I had life insurance, well if I knew that I would have stop paying my life insurance??? No need to pay the same bill twice so to get down to the real I'm being sued for $7000 after making previous payments. They charge me interest on top of interest, now they garnishing my wages with the interest rate, they are charging me on this judgement. I'll be lucky to get out of this 10,000 wondering if this is even legal. I got screwed and on my way to being homeless. This company sucks. I can't feed my kids and pay bills with them taking 1/3 of my wages every week.

I spoke with 4 people in there and they are stupid. And so I was talking to this guy Storm and so I told him "if I made a payment on April 1st that paid for April." They have me down for 60 days Plus. So I tried to explain that May to June is 30 days but he said "if you count from April 1st to June 1st that is 60 days." I told him "If I paid April's on the 1st that means it pays for all of April's." He said "no." It's sad that people work in the place and cannot add. I wonder where he got his education. I thought they stopped putting prizes in the Cracker Jack boxes. Please if you can do without these guys please leave them alone.

This is the worst company you can ever do business with. If you fall on hard times they carry you to court time and time again. My dad is sick. I'm not able to work. He has Alzheimer's. I'm his only caregiver. I don't make no money right now. I've told them, "What is going on?" but they don't care. When I do get money I'm going to have to file bankruptcy due to all the times they have carried me to court. Court fees and lawyer fees are not cheap. They had sent me a check through the mail a few years ago when I was falling on hard times. I cashed it to pay my utility bills. I wished now I would have left them alone. They didn't even check to see if I had a job. They are nothing but loan sharks preying on people that are going through hard times. Do not do business with these loan sharks.

I have made some large chunks of payments to these guys to try to get my loan paid off quicker (yeah right). When you do that, then you are paid ahead. Today I got a call reminding me of my payment. What? I just paid $500, $300.etc. What REALLY ticks me off is that you have no way of knowing where your accounts stands. You can't get a statement because they don't even make statements. The only information you can see online is the payments you made ONLINE only. So if you went in or mailed a payment, it doesn't show up. That's it. No balance, no due date, nothing. I can't believe this company has been allowed to stay in business this way. Also, I can't believe the interest rate. My fault though, I knew it going in. Taking out a loan with this company is a big mistake learned!

I took out a loan 10-04-14 for $1243.15 (all their fees assessed in there). I came into some money and paid $1200 on 10-10-14, then a first payment of $110.00 to cover the $43.15 and whatever interest would cover that short amount of time I actually had the loan. Never heard from them--until 11-13-15 telling asking me when I plan to start paying off my $1243.15 loan! It confused me for a while because I knew I did not owe them money. So I told the girl on the phone that--she passes me over to her manager who tells me I owe over $300, to be started a year after I paid the $1200. So I told them I made a further $111.15 (online charge of $1.15) to cover the month I had the loan--with the majority of it paid off after six days.
Then I get some schmo about how he has to go to his computer for clearance only he has to access my records. He goes there and tells me even if he goes back to the time I paid all this money, I still owe $65+. Amazing, he can go from $300+ to $65+ in one phone conversation after a year of not hearing from these people relating any balance they say I owe. He acknowledged the second payment on 11-06-14 and still insists I took the loan out for $1243.15, not $1200. Well, I told him hence the further payment of $111.15 online--then I get the spiel about how who I paid online was not their company. Excuse me, if I am paying the recommended site to pay your on your loan--how does that not include your company when I have records that Republic received these payments out of my bank account?
Fishy all the way around. They tell me this on a Friday when I have to work three night shifts, get off Monday am and go to their office to show them all the receipts of payments, with dates on them instead of being able to not worry all weekend about this and be able to sleep Monday. Unbelievable. I am waiting for them to threaten my credit rating, too--even when I paid them off extremely early!

Officer told me to call and see if they would drop the warrant and maybe pay them the money instead of bond. Wouldn't do it, very terrible Company to do business with. Republic Finance is a predatory loan company - nothing more - nothing less. They do business with one of the credit bureaus (somehow) - and gain access to names, addresses and credit scores. If your score meets a certain number - they will send you (in the mail) an actual live check for amounts up to 6k. You can then take this check and deposit the funds into your account. By endorsing the check and cashing it - you agree to all the terms and conditions of their predatory lending practices. They've "gotcha".
These loans have interest rates so high they should be illegal. If one of these should land in your mailbox - rip it up without further ado. They are preying on people in hardship situations etc... If you miss payments, they will go to a local magistrate and ruin your credit with a judgment for years to come. They are truly scum. Their employees also leave a lot to be desired. They are smart mouths with attitudes, that talk down to you. And trust me, if you could see this group of people - they are a total unimpressive joke - really the cream of the crap. Please take my word and dodge this bullet.

I have a loan with Republic Finance and they are the worst finance company to deal with. My loan is in the Gramercy store in Gramercy, La. I borrowed 5000.00 and with all the interests I end up having to pay back 10000.00. I have been paying on this loan since 2010 or 2011 and still paying those high as payments of 357.00 a month. Thank God my last payment is in August 2015. I shouldn't have never borrowed money from this company to consolidate my bills because all the money I gave them I could've paid off my own debt and would still have my credit cards to lean on in case of an emergency.
Now I can't get my credit cards back because I closed all my accounts and due to losing my job, my credit is not great due to late or no payments. NEVER consolidate and NEVER borrow money from these people. They are LOAN SHARKS. When I asked about paying the loan off early, they said it doesn't make sense because I'll only be saving 54.00 dollars. Well guess what! I'll be paying it off in June, I'd rather have 54.00 dollars in my pocket than in theirs. I went to the LaPlace branch and the new girl with the black glasses said they don't have any change. I'm thinking... Aren't y'all a finance company? Y'all take people money everyday. So that made me upset, especially when she tells me I would have to go and make change. So that made me have to give them more money than I wanted to.

Because she is deaf, she needs to have an interpreter with her so she is fully aware of what she signed. She had no idea what she signed up for. She knew she was getting a loan but didn't realize that the rates were high and that she signed up for other stuff. She doesn't fully comprehend all she reads.
I feel not only did they give her a loan but took advantage of her being deaf by having her sign up for other stuff she didn't not need. I know there is a law that protects those who are not totally competent. I am not saying she doesn't understand a lot but I can hear and I sometimes need someone to explain something to me. I am pretty sure if they did explain it wasn't in sign language. What is there to protect our deaf community from these loan companies selling them all kinds of stuff that they do not require?
