I purchased some silver New Guinea coins from a company that is under investigation and did some bad things to a lot of people, including myself. I called a lot of people who buy and sell silver, and I happened to talk to Jake from Orion three times. I told him about the situation the first time and he said that they could definitely buy my silver back. He was extremely professional. Never pressured me to sell it. Just told me what he could do. I sold everything I had purchased and it was very simple. He connected me with the IRS representative they had. He talked to them and they sent me a DocuSign, and it was done. Within three days, I had the money in my account.

The reps were very responsive and helpful, but I was more interested in gold bullion instead of coins and I would appreciate it if they added that to their portfolio. The mark-up for coins is a little higher and I want to minimize my overall cost of metals. If I go with bullion bars, it’s cheaper than coins.

Everything went really well. The whole process was very professional, but when you're on the phone, you think you know the person on the other end, but you don't see them, which is something to think about if you’re doing a large transaction. It's difficult to do a transaction like that sometimes over the phone without seeing somebody. Something like FaceTime interaction might be good. Due to the fact that I feel that he knows what he’s talking about, it makes me secure in a way, but I don’t think anybody can make you secure when you're investing. There’s no guarantee. I went with Orion Metal Exchange to diversify my portfolio because I heard the partner, Jacob, is very good at what he does.
