Please use the other apps. This one is outdated which is sad since they have been around for a while. Download Venmo, SoFi, Varo, OnePay, PayPal or any others in my opinion. Chime is trash these days. They are unable to get my card working on the app and I cannot even use my money. Worthless.

NEVER have I EVER had a problem with my direct deposit until THIS YEAR. My FIRST paycheck I was supposed to receive on the 2nd. I waited until Monday and called and was told to wait 1-2 BUSINESS days for the deposit. IT IS NOW WEDNESDAY and STILL nothing. I call again and they tell me I have to wait 4 BUSINESS DAYS! WHAT KIND OF BS IS THAT!? They said funds from the company I work for wasn't released yet the owner checked the bank and the money HAS ALREADY BEEN SENT. CHIME IS REALLY TRYING TO ROB ME! They said I have to wait until tomorrow and if I don't get my money then to call again and then they will escalate the matter. DO NOT GET CHIME. STAY WITH A REGULAR BANK. At least everyone else got paid, NOT ME.

Chime may have benefits but with customer service based out of China and connect it up with other countries I don’t care for that. Two different times had to connect with Chime via phone and the calls were identified as being routed in coming from China and another country that they transferred me to. I do understand labor, and profit with hiring people from other countries, but I do not want my financial information connected up with China financial customer service. That was a total shock when my iPhone caller identification with two customer service reps came back listed this China's.

Chime was ok .. until they denied my dispute for charges that I clearly did not make.. I thought that since I was locked out of my account that nobody else could get my account. Not so. Almost almost $400 in charges while my account was locked up.

Zero financial protection. Poor customer service. You can file a dispute, it’ll take you an hour on the phone with someone who has no clue about banking, and within 24 hours they’ll deny your dispute and say no error happened. The 1st time, I thought maybe was my mistake and let it go. But after a 2nd time and losing out on hundreds of dollars I did not authorize, I closed my accounts with them. Customer service will tell you it’ll take 5 business days to close the account and that transactions can still go through, including unauthorized ones. Don’t let them scam you! I demanded the accounts be closed immediately and sure enough, they closed them immediately, not 5 business days. Pay attention to the words they say, speak up for yourself and don’t let them allow you to be scammed and taken advantage of financially.

Would recommend transitions for account deletion in the app or online. Having to call an outsourced call center with trouble understanding and being pressure on a account decision is not good customer service. One employee got my name wrong. The other forgot to mute herself to have side a conversation with her co worker. I signed up for Chime, never used it and will probably not be using it in any foreseeable future.

Chime is bs. They're liars. I get paid every 2 weeks and they're saying my next direct deposit is January 12th. That's not accurate. Not just that. They have my employer down as disability. How is that possible. I want Chime shut down. Not just that. We don't get paid 2 days early. My Pay was sent off 3 days ago and I have gotten paid on weekends before.

Advertising appear misleading. They tell you inflated scenarios, however don't tell you when you load funds for $600, you have to pay $9.90 as it set up to profit. They will only you only you to load $500 per transaction and each transaction is $4.95. They also will allow Spot Me, but asks for a tip??? What the hell. They pay upfront is almost non existent and I would never trust Chime with direct deposit of my paycheck. Difficult to ever speak to a human and if you do, it's still like speaking foreign language because you can't understand the broken English and they don't comprehend what issue you're attempting to resolve. Chime is a huge NO and disappointment. I stick with a traditional bank.. I only got it because of the deception of getting paid two days early, it NEVER happened.

Do not get scammed by Chime. They have no customer service. Charge for everything. Will not try to help in any way whatsoever if you have a problem. If your card get hacked I'm sure they would fight tooth and nail to not give money back. Chime Should be shut down. Not legally allowed to be in charge of any finances for anyone.

I loved Chime until I had a problem. I never ordered a titanium card yet I was charged for it. I only ordered a black plastic card when I received it and activated it, I was charged $54.19 upon activation and now another card (titanium) which I never ordered is on the way. It doesn't make sense for me to now have 3 cards with accounts checking and saving. All I was trying to do was consolidate my credit builder and checking into one card. No one has helped me I've been on hold for hours getting transferred from one department to the next. I've been hung up on twice. Chime is not taking accountability for their mistakes. I never ordered this card and all I want is them to cancel this stupid card and give me my money back.

Set up the Chime account and it asks if I want want I card. I respond NO. The next screen says the card is on its way and will not allow you set up the account without it. I do not want the card because there on average over 100 complaints with the BBB on fraudulent charges and not refunds are issued by CHIME. I conversed with "DJ" in customer service and he insisted the card number can not be cancelled and just don't activate it. Any other bank would just cancel card number.

Don't cash a check with Chime, especially if in any hurry to spend that money. I think it would have been nice to tell a person that you intended on holding a person's funds for over a week BEFORE you tell them to sign the back of the check "For mobile deposit to Chime account only". Cause if you would have, I would have cashed it somewhere... anywhere else. Like most of us have so much money that waiting more than a week to get our funds is no big deal. Absolutely ignorant that you couldn't tell someone about that & give them the chance to change their mind BEFORE making sure they couldn't cash the check somewhere else. Inconsiderate pigs.

I wouldn't even give them one star. The worst business I have ever dealt with. Do not trust them with your money. My card eas stolen and used and I called immediately as I was on the phone charges were going through. I was at work freaking out that my money was disappearing and I was on the phone with customer services saying they couldn't do anything about it because the charges were processing. I had to wait days to call back as each transaction went through. Then was told that my Disputes were denied because of numbers they ran show that I have been to those places.
First off one of the charges I have never been to ever in my life so that is a lie. One of the places I have been to but after transactions went through and I was negative in my account the thiefs were denied multiple charges from the same place that were over 400 and 500 dollars. I can see what I have in my account so it was me making charges as they say why would I try 5 times to purchase stuff that would if equalled ro over a grand? Customer service had difficulty understanding anything explained to them.
If you want you and your money to be protected this is not the business you want. If you want good customer service, this is not the place you want. I had multiple other issues with this business such as being denied to purchase gas when I was on E and had the money in bank because it kept saying I was trying to purchase 75.00 of gas and wouldn't even let me pump gas. So if you don't want to be stranded or stuck then don't pick this business. DO NOT TRUST YOUR MONEY WITH THIS BUSINESS

A friend sent me $20 to my Chime account so I can buy some food. I am homeless and I have not eaten in 2 days, going on three. After my friend sent me the money for food, Chime took my $20. I called to try to get my money back so I can buy some food and despite what I told them, they still said no and kept my money. So now I am still homeless and hungry with no food and my money took by Chime. As of right now, I will no longer be a customer to Chime for their lack of compassion and treatment towards me behind this situation. All I am trying to do is buy some food so I can eat.

I am beyond frustrated with Chime and feel compelled to speak up about the way I’ve been treated. Their supervisors repeatedly hung up on me, gave me false information, and kept sending me in circles instead of actually helping. I trusted Chime with my money, and now they’ve taken it while providing zero support. This experience has shown me that Chime is not a company that can be trusted, and their customer service is completely unacceptable. I expect immediate resolution and a clear explanation, because this treatment is not just frustrating—it’s unprofessional and wrong.

I received a bonus for opening a Chime checking account. It required direct deposit and debit card activation to qualify for this bonus. I met both the requirements, but they sent the debit card to the wrong address the first time and didn't have the expedited option. It took two weeks after requesting the replacement to arrive. Now they say I am not qualified for the offer because the card should have been activated within 14 days of receiving the first direct deposit! I said it is not my fault that Chime sent it to the wrong address the first time, and the supervisor said nothing can be done, and manual adjustment cannot be made either.

I got denied twice on a unauthorized ATM transaction dispute even with police, the first dispute and second dispute both ended in three to five days with Chime saying that there isn't any errors that took place and that there isn't anything they can. All this took place on November 28th at 4:37pm when I was at work and the transaction took place 17 miles away from my job and you would think a police report would change the outcome and it didn't any other financial institution that I have dealt with would have given me a credit while the investigation takes place which is usually 14 days to five months. I have already filed a complaint with the Consumer Finance Protection and the FTC along with making complaints to Denver 7 investigates and troubleshooter Tom Martino.

Chime claimed there was suspicious activity on my card and limited its account use. I called customer service and informed them the activity was legitimate. They said that since it was an automated limitation through their system that it could take up to 48 hours to reinstate full use. I waited the 48 hours and received a message saying the limitation was removed only for another message immediately indicating that my account was once again being limited due to suspicious activity. No new activity had taken place since the original limitation, so I called customer service only to be told again it could be up to 48 hours for the limitation to be released.
I asked repeatedly to speak with a supervisor (no less that 15 times) and was told a supervisor could not help me. Eventually the associate disconnected the call. This was after a 15 minute wait to speak to someone. I decided to call back to complain and had a 30 minute wait. I reported the poor customer service and the fact that I was not able to use my account the week before Christmas. Horrible customer service and will be closing my account with them immediately.

My problem is Mypay. My direct deposit could be over $1500. The credit limit to the mypay should be $500. There is times that the direct deposit is fifteen hundred and they would drop the credit limit to $360. Which is taking a $140 away from the limit. When I get paid, I asked them, why did the limit change. Customer representatives give me different reasons. Every time I ask this question, I asked a supervisor to explain to me. The supervisor gives me a whole another reason of why this balance changes, my point is, the representatives do not tell you the same thing. They will get frustrated with your questions because they do not know how to answer them. And they will all start to lie to me.
It seems like they will steal money, but make it look like they're not taking money from you. But in reality, they are and I feel like they take a $140 from me every single time that they do this, they told me before that there is another system that controls the mypay, my question to the supervisor was Why can't the customers talk to who controls your my pay that way the limit will stay the same as long as your direct deposit is over $900, which is what I was told in the past, but no one can ever answer that question.
They will get frustrated with me and then they'll tell me that they will end the call. That is very rude to tell a customer that they will end a call simply because they don't know how to answer the question. Even if they see in your account that you should have a limit of $500. The last supervisor did not want to admit to it that I should have the same $500 limit, So he decided that he will end the call with me. I have been a customer with Chime for 3 years now. And out of those 3 years, I don't have too many complaints. But this has been my MAIN complaint... the mypay!! That is something that they need to get under control. Because that is literally like stealing someone's money and making it look like it's illegal.

I wish I could give a negative 0. I will be closing my account and my husband account and my kids will be closing also. It’s a shame you can’t transfer money back to the person who sent the money to you, add your bank info and debit card to transfer money and it still doesn’t allow you to. I will be telling friends and family to do reviews, also bad business and report them to Better Business Bureau. Terrible company, bad attitudes when it’s our money that keeps your business open.

My digital card was breached from my own phone. I had no access for two days — two full days where I couldn’t even get into my account. And after all that, after their failure to protect me, they had the nerve to conduct a sham “investigation” and then close my account because I supposedly violated their terms. The audacity is unbelievable.
They never heard my side, never asked for an explanation, never acknowledged that the breach happened while I was locked out. Instead, they ran with their confused, incompetent assessment and decided I was the problem. Their investigation wasn’t just sloppy — it was an absolute farce. Instead of protecting a customer who was clearly compromised, they chose the laziest, most negligent path possible. Their handling of this situation has been nothing but unprofessional, dismissive, and frankly, shameful. If this is their idea of customer protection, everyone deserves to know. I will be sharing this experience everywhere so others can avoid the same careless treatment. Avoid them unless you enjoy being failed by their security and then blamed for their incompetence.

I just picked up a check for 200k from my lawyer and was going to deposit into my Chime account. I already have several thousand dollars in my account as well as my direct deposits. I had recently disputed a charge for 30.00 for a charge in which I received nothing and was told I would be refunded. Chime chose not to give me my money so as a result I deposited the check in another account at another bank and will be moving my funds and direct deposits and closing my accounts with Chime in the next few days.
