I had to push Identity Guard to review their records where they confirmed that I correctly had cancelled the account in time. They then reimbursed me and apologized. So I give them credit for that, but sad that I had to go to the lengths I did to resolve this. "The customer is always right" is a thing of the past and instead it should be "The customer needs to prove that they are right".

I cancelled once online, which they ignored and then via phone which they claimed was after the cancel date so will bill me for the year. I am certain I met their ridiculous date, but they ignored it until the time expired. Do not trust these guys, get real ID protection. What other company has a policy that does not allow cancellation for an entire year?

I want to share the frustration that I missed the reminder email about auto yearly renewal and one day after being charged had to pay for another full year. Of course I have to own missing the email a month before that I would be charged but upon realizing that I wanted to stop my service was told that once charged it can't be taken back. That policy should be changed and I deleted my account in full even though I had a year paid for so that I don't get auto charged yet again in 2026.

We have the family plan and after 2 months I had password issues, I never received any emails to try and reset and I tried to resolve it with them and got nowhere. Then at the end of our year term my husband decided to cancel, he contacted them to cancel but then they still tried to charge another membership year, our card was blocked when they tried to charge it, he contacted them and they yet again attempted to charge the card twice to restart a membership without our consent. DO NOT GO WITH THESE GUYS!!!! We were optimistic in the beginning. Thought it was a great product but after a while turned out to be a complete waste and then them trying to charge us after we tried to cancel multiple times.

I had a credit card issue and called the number on the website. I explained the issue to the person and was advised I would need number and that I would I kindly wait for an AD to run - a waste of time but I wanted resolution. Next came a query for certain information related to my account ignorer to get the necessary number. Unknown to me and never mentioned was that I was providing data for a ID Guard account. A charge came through on my account a couple of days later. I called the ID Guard number and the person refused to cancel going on and on about it is introductory only and I should wait. Finally I was told I would be sent an email telling me the process of cancelling. Never arrived. This is an unbelievable frustration. Falls under the heading of SCAM. Still trying to cancel.

Lately, our experience with them has not been so good. My husband passed away, so we had to put him on my heritage account and I've had trouble accessing it. I can't get in. I've called and they were gonna have somebody call me back but I have not heard back. I've never had an issue with them before, so I hate to ding them on it. But it is troubling to me and I've been a little frustrated with that. But they do a good job and they send notices.

I had some problems with credit cards. I called in to talk to them and it was recommended that I bump up to have more protection. The rep was super nice, patient and explanatory, knew what he was talking about. I'm pleased. There was an AT&T problem with their records getting hacked recently and I was one of the ones who got hacked. They were offering me Experian. I called to talk to someone to see if I needed both and they said no. If I had Identity Guard, I wouldn't need to buy the others.

Purchased plan for 12 months, then cancelled prior to renewal. Never notified of anything whatsoever except charge for renewal. Apparently cancellation never recorded at ID, hence company charged me for another year. Refused to refund next year's payment.
Cancellation may be performed through the member console or by calling our Customer Service team. We always send a cancel confirmation email at that time, for your records, as was disclosed by the agent you spoke with.
Accounts canceled remain opened until the end of the billing cycle so that customers may use all the benefits they have paid for, as the 60 day money back guarantee is for the initial 60 days after purchase, not each annual renewal.

I was hacked and the hacker got my social security number as well as my credit card number. They charged $5,000 on a credit card to Nordstrom that I don't even have, which was why I got Identity Guard. I went over some things with the rep and got the service set up. It makes me mad that I have to pay for it because of the whole situation. But it’s fine. I have to pay to protect my information. I did nothing wrong so it aggravates me but it is what it is. I'm thankful that there are people out there that can help me. So, I'm good with it. I got an email from something and I called Identity Guard and everything seems to be fine. They’re watching everything. So that's all I need.

I had inadvertently put my information out to an individual who was not a relative whom I thought I was speaking with through texting. So, I looked Identity Guard up. I've been with them for a year now and I get monthly reports on whether or not any of my identity or any of my information is on the dark web. I contacted Identity Guard and let them know that I had taken care of all this from my end of it and they didn't have to do anything else after that. I spoke to one of the agents and he knew exactly where it was and when it was opened up. He had all the appropriate information. He couldn't tell the name of the store but that was a given. I had no idea that it was a "credit card" and not a rewards card. They notified me about it so quickly and it was peace of mind, more than anything.
The service provided by Identity Guard costs only 240 a year. They contact me six months before my membership expires and if I want to stay with them, all I have to do is give them a 30-day notice. This is my second year with them. I am not computer-savvy but there’s a phone number that I could call and a live person on the other end. The reps were very personable.

We purchased the family plan. Our experience with them has been very good and I'm satisfied with the service. My wife had opened something at Dillard's and used a credit card to save money and they alerted. But sometimes, I call in and they say, "We can't find your account." I would like more direct access when I need it. Other than that, the service makes me feel more comfortable.

Somebody compromised my credit card and my checking account. This transport company was hacked. The one check that I got back from the bank was the perfect match. And I knew it that night when I got the report that my checking account had a zero balance. So, I looked at it and looked at the check, called the bank and had them put a hold on all my accounts. I went to the bank and we sorted it out. They gave me my money back. So, Identity Guard didn't get involved.
The only thing that bothered me was when I found this issue out, I went to the local police and they said, "The bank and the credit card company made you whole, so there's no issue." When I got the letter from this transport company that they had been hacked and this is how everything happened, that was four months later. The bank said, "That case is already closed." And the police said, "It's not in our jurisdiction." So, everybody let it go. Everybody washed their hands of it. And whoever did it is still probably doing it.
In order to do stuff on my credit card, they changed my address and a bunch of things, and Chase was very reluctant to help me get it fixed. I went to Identity Guard and they told me what I had to do. Chase kept back and said, "No, no, no." And I said, "I'm gonna sue you because you gave him the information that he shouldn't have." They helped the hacker because you can get passwords fixed any time, but you gotta know the login ID. Because they had all my personal information, the person gave my login ID.

It's been going well with Identity Guard. I have the plan that monitors my credit reports and I receive emails about my credit reports. I talked to customer service when I had to renew my subscription and it went well. I've seen some of those type of service on the market that are relatively lower compared to what I currently pay with Identity Guard but overall, I'm satisfied with the product.

Someone tried to open a bank account today in my name. I immediately received an alert from Identity Guard stating the bank had verified my identity. They listed the bank name. I was able to call them and shut down the fraudulent account immediately (it had JUST been opened). I subscribe to LifeLock, IdentityForce, Experian IdentityWorks, and Identity Guard. Only Identity Guard alerted me to this!

I had Identity Guard a while back and they use to be good about notifications every time a credit card or inquiry was made. Recently they do not. A credit card was opened in my name and I was notified by Credit Karma, but Identity Guard didn't send any notification email or text. My account is set up for both. This is not a company that can be trusted to alert you when accounts are opened in your name, but they are sure happy to take your money and make all the promises you want to hear.

I went before with LifeLock and I was not happy. I have a Discover card and I also did this with them. Then I found Identity Guard. Their price was much better and their service is much better. Immediately, before anybody else, they notify me. That doesn't happen before, not with LifeLock and not with Discover. Everything's okay with Identity Guard. I know they still have some glitches with the app. But so far, I don't have any problem.

I had Identity Guard for five years. I just let it lapse as far as the payment. I was busy and was concentrating on different things, so, I got it signed back up. Recently, I got this email saying that I won a gift coupon at Walmart. I opened that thing up and they wanted my account number on my Visa. I gave it to them and my name and address too. One of the things that tricked me was they were saying that one of the coupons that they were giving out there at Walmart was for a new vacuum cleaner, and I had been looking at a vacuum cleaner at Walmart recently. The whole thing just fell into place. It was incredibly stupid on my part, but I went ahead and gave him my information. I talked to somebody at Identity Guard and they were very helpful. I also purchased this little additional coverage, that would help stop these other places on the dark web from selling my information and I'm glad I got that.

During our initial assessment we were told about a new feature "Privacy Secure". As soon as this was installed, everything stopped working. Called CS and tech support. They say they created help ticket but cannot give an estimate on when it will be resolved. CS was rude and system is not working for almost a week now while we are being charged.

I was foolish enough to pay for the yearly plan and it's been useless for the last month. I've received no alerts concerning my financial accounts or credit monitoring. It was fine for the first month or two and since it's been absolutely silent. I'm a victim of the T-Mobile breach and while other services notified me that my information has been found on the dark web, nothing from Identity Guard. When I Applied for a credit card recently, once again other free services notified about it, I received nothing from Identity Guard. At this point I really regret having signed up with them.

If anything changes on my end, I get notified right away. That's very important. Identity Guard is not the cheapest in the market, but they have a good value to offer. It's very valuable to anyone that insure. It has made my life more and more seamless in terms of not having to think of the dark web, and all the spam that we get on a daily basis. It eases my mind for sure.

Identity Guard has been updating me on everything, so I have never had a problem. I just renewed again and they gave me a lower rate, which was good. When I had to change my charge card, they gave me a different rate when I had to renew the automatic payment. I also had a great experience talking with their rep.

I have them for general identity theft and prevention. The cost is fine and it doesn't bother me. I don't think it's too much or suspiciously low. Working with them, I have peace of mind, which is really what it's all about. I just get updates if anything comes up.

I called Identity Guard once to get clarification and it was very quick and non-painful. They were quick to get me notified when something happened with my credit, and that time I had my credit run through the bank. Overall, they were consistent and very accurate.

Identity Guard is a great service and it's worth the cost. I'm very happy that I have them. I love when somebody is running my credit. I see it on my watch. We have a plan for the whole family. We've had passwords of family members picked up and we were told to change our passwords. We got an email and a text message.
