The application process with Achieve was easy. The only problem I had was, and I don't know if it was on my end or if it was on their end, it took me a little bit to get all of my credit card information to them for them to approve everything for the loan. We got it all taken care of, and the process was easy. The customer service rep that was the one entering all the credit card numbers and all the amounts in the computer was very helpful. I was at work, but she called me on a weekend to get stuff taken care of. Everybody was very good. I was very surprised.

Achieve Personal Loans needs to get better customer service. I talked to two representatives who were horrible. One was blowing up my phone and my email sending me information and telling me that I was preapproved for a loan. When I had the time to call him back, I left a message and he never returned my call. I called in again and I wanted to speak with another representative. The supervisor put me through to another representative, Alex, and he said that the first representative was trying to get in touch with me to lower my payments from my first loan and to see if I was interested in taking out another loan. I wanted to ask questions and he acted like he was getting tired of me asking questions and he just wanted me to go along with what he was saying, which wasn't going to happen. I stopped him right in his tracks and I told him to have a supervisor give me a call back.
A week went by and no supervisor had called me back so I ended up calling back. I talked to a second supervisor and she said she'd put me back with Alex and I said I don't wanna deal with him. I told her about the representative who handled my first loan very well who was very good. She reached out to that representative and had the representative call me. I've been dealing with that representative since then.

Achieve Loans' reps are very nice people. If I asked them anything, they always did it. Everything went fine for me, except the interest rate. I owe them close to 13,000 and my payment's 400 a month. So, the interest rate is too high for me. The experience I had was very good with them until I realized, "Why is my payment $400?" And I must have misunderstood the interest rate. Other than that, everybody has been so nice when I've called them.

The application process at Achieve Loans was very easy. It took 20 minutes overall. We called one day, filled out all the paperwork and we got approved the next day. In less than a week, everything was being paid off. They sent the money straight to the credit card companies. They took care of all that for us.

I liked the interest rate that Achieve offered me, the service and their follow-up, and the people that I talked to. During the application process, they took my information over the phone and checked it out as far as the amount I was borrowing. They went over the loans and gave me the information to sign over the internet and I DocuSigned it, and it was a done deal. They paid all the creditors off and within three weeks, I saw positive changes on my credit report.

The reps answered everything I asked them and answered it to what I thought was good. There was too much interest on the loan, but it worked out. Achieve Personal Loans helped me out of a financial bind at first. People should try them.

Achieve's customer service was always nice and I liked them. They asked us general questions for loans like employment status and birthdate. They then ran our credit. It didn't take long to receive the funding. Our payments were $763.23 a month and it was pretty high. The interest rate was not that great as it was too high, especially with the fact that our credit was pretty good. It was 26.99% interest rate. We ended up just getting another loan to pay that one off and to get a lower interest rate.
The payoff should have been around 24,000 something. But we ended up paying $25,065.09. The guy did say something that threw us off a little bit. The day we called it in to make that payment, they said that if it didn't go through that day and it would go through the next day, but at a rate of 25,200 something and I didn't like that too much. We made two payments prior to paying off the loan so it was like we gave extra money.
Other than that, the contract with Achieve was fine for what we needed it for at the time. Depending on your credit, they were able to work something out. It's just the interest rates are too high and you'll be putting out more money than you should. If the person is desperate enough to get a loan, maybe do Achieve. But if not, then consider going somewhere or going to banks.

The reps were very polite. But one thing I've had trouble since day one is I cannot seem to get the app so I can keep track of my account. I can't load it. Every time I try it, I get the loan I had before when it was Freedom and that's the one that keeps popping up.

Achieve Loans was passed down from a credit debt relief with a bank. They told me on the phone it’s a cheaper interest rate on my money (cheaper payment), so, I said, “Yeah.” It was all done by the other bank, registered from wherever it come from. They just swapped paperwork, and I didn't have to do anything. It didn't take very long too. Now, Achieve Loans collects payment every month. They just bank draft it, and I save money. I'm retired and living on a fixed income, so I have to watch my p's and q's. When things get more expensive, it's much higher. The payments might be harder to do in the future.

I liked the phone presence with Achieve. What I heard was professionalism and the rep was very nice and helpful. The loan process was very easy to do though I have an issue with the additional fees you have to pay when you’re borrowing money. If you take out a loan, you're hit with an additional loan fee depending on the dollar amount. There's only a handful of people that don't charge that but it can be quite a lot, like $1000. It's absurd. But at that time, working with Achieve was very helpful. I would refer people to them. If I have a concern, I just call and it's simple.

I had another loan company and I tried to go back to them, but their process was crazy. I switched, and Achieve Loans was easier to deal with. The rep took my information and within five minutes, I was approved. Receiving the money was a problem because they were doing a direct pay and they got American Express messed up. There are two different kinds of American Express and they sent it to one that wasn't supposed to go to it. They had to wait for it to come back before they would issue me the money to go ahead and pay it off. I also had to make payments when I shouldn't have had to make payments. For all of it to be finalized, it took close to four weeks. Other than that, it was stress-free. It was a nice experience.

I reached out to Achieve. And they reached back out to me. They process everything quickly. The loan officer I spoke to on the phone got the information from me, kept following up with me until everything was done. Even to the point with the underwriter. However, the interest rate was extremely high even with my credit score and me having a bunch of paid off loans. I was sitting in the high 700s before the loan. And all my loans are paid off. I only have two open credit cards. The rest, I paid off and closed. So four credit cards, had seven paid off loans, and I still got an interest rate of 26%. Other than that, a day and a half, Achieve quickly funded me. Great communication all the way through even with the portal access.
We understand the rate you got wasn't the most ideal as you would've liked, in this time rates are crazy high and we aim to beat our competitors but also still have certain guidelines we must follow. We are happy to hear the process was smooth and quick for you. I liked the rep's knowledge about the loan process. The only thing I had an issue with is I had already done 90 something percent of the rate before realizing the high interest rate that was attached to my plan. They should divulge that information on their interest rate and their fee that I would pay. But everything else went smoothly.

I already have a loan with Best Egg and my interest rate is 6% but Achieve’s rate is 16%. Considering that I had zero late payments and I've got an assortment of different things, they're up a little bit. Other than that, it worked out fine. They funded me. They were a day or two slower than Best Egg but Achieve did what they said they would. I got the loan but I'll end up going away from Achieve eventually within the next six months.

The rep was helpful. He went through the loan and explained the benefits. However, it took about five days before the money was available, and the interest rate is a bit high.

They're always very friendly and helpful. The girl who helped me double-checked until I got the loan. The only thing I don't like about Achieve Personal Loans is the interest is so high. It doesn't look like I would finish paying off this loan. I wish after a year or six months, they could look at my credit score and try to reduce the interest. Other than that, they were the best. Even when I call customer service, they're very patient and knowledgeable.

This is an easy company to work with. I think they have my best interest in mind. The rates are fair and they took care of everything. I started out 65k in debt and after a while was offered to get the balance paid off through Freedom Financial. Great decision! I will likely pay off the remainder this summer and will look to doing business with them again in the future.

The rep called later and we worked out a better deal. She went over some options and ways that I could lower my rate, and we did what we could. They took a lot of payments into one payment so I didn't have to worry about a bunch of different due dates. If you have a co-signer, it would help you lower your rate. Doing the automatic draft would help as well.

So far, working with them is good. I had one problem and they solved it. I got a personal loan and I received the money pretty fast. The application process was super easy. But I didn't know that they automatically charge in my account and I prepaid the first payment and I was double-charged. I called them and they sent me the money back. I definitely recommend Achieve. It's a great company and it helps me a lot. They helped me a lot with my personal issues and I truly appreciate it. In the future, I would just go to them first.

Achieve Personal Loans worked with me during the COVID. At first, I had to get all my information for them. Then I caught COVID, lost my job and I had to get a second career. They completely understood, but it almost went into collections, so I had to go to the settlement department. I haven't missed a payment yet, nor am I going to. I try to put a little extra on. It's really reasonable. When I'm close to done with this one, I have a couple more that got away from me during COVID that I'm gonna have them reconsolidate.

I originally started out under FreedomPlus, and they were bought out by Achieve. They converted my loan over, and the support I've gotten from Achieve so far has been excellent. I love it. They're more responsive and friendly, and the rate is also better than most of my other loans. Through the website, they're good with providing information and letting me know what's going on with the account. A week before my payment is due, I'll get a notification that it's due and that it'll be pulled automatically from my account. So far, my experience has been great. One person in particular, Celeste, has been amazing.

It's been a little rough with Achieve. They took two payments out instead of one a month. I showed them that I made one payment but they told me that I didn't make a payment. I had to give them a bank statement telling them that I made the payment. They said they never got it. I also tried to refinance with them. I've been with them for a while. I should get a lower payment but the interest rate and my payment went up. I wasn't happy with that. They're helping me, but I don't feel that their customer service is the best.

Freedom was very flexible. If I needed to update my payment date, their system was not configured to where it can do it as intended. I had to know what date I could do it and make sure the final payment was made on their due date. Also, when they automatically drafted by mistake, they didn't refund the money but they were able to make sure it didn't happen again.
Being with Achieve is not as friendly as it was with Freedom. But it's exactly as it says. So, that's why I don't make it a point to call them often. I just go to the website and pay the bill. They're not as stress-free. They're just like, "Okay, we gave you the money. You asked for it. Please be sure to pay it."

The loan with Achieve was easy because I did most of it online and then I talked with the guy over the phone when we were walking through the process. I had to run to the office and get the computer because I had to fax stuff to them. Otherwise, it was super simple.

I had a problem logging in. The password was kind of complicated to me. Something like that usually leaves my memory. I'm 62 years old. My problem was sitting long and doing tedious task when I can call somebody and do it by the 800 person. They told me, “Hold for this person. Hold for that person,” and then I get the right person. But overall, Achieve helped. It was convenient to a certain extent. It was a good experience.

Freedom Plus deducted a second unauthorized payment from my account. They admitted they clicked the wrong button when we moved our payment date. Now they are saying that we are behind 20 days, which is not true. We made our first payment early. Moved our second payment forward three days and made that payment. Now they say we skipped a month. They are not being reasonable. It feels like they are retaliating because we threw the loan into a refi cash out with our mortgage. They are unreasonable and difficult to work with and will not listen to reason. You just talk in circles. Unless you have money to spare and don't mind a big interest rate, find another lender. Their practices are questionable.

Agent Jeniffer called me to re-finance my current loan. After many calls and emails the fees and new payment was higher. Even though my credit was better, the new $900 fee increased my current payment. Took me many calls for an explanation. I asked to be called back but excuses came because I did not agreed in the deal. Shame on me, after working on building my credit they pulled my credit for nothing.

Not only did they waste my time, but they straight lied! Gave them all the information upfront. Bank Statements and tax returns. Showing more than 100k a year in income and enough in the bank to actually cover all the loan to be taken out. Just didn't want to use it all at once, so a loan for less than a year. Told them I was self employed and gave them everything. Said, "Do not run my credit if you are going to waste my time!" Then they insisted since I was married to run my wife's as well. Then said she wasn't needed. All to say they don't give the loans to self employed! Why would you waste my credit and my time! Or was it just buying time after they heard my last name? A bank shark is better than them!

I will never do business or refer anyone to this company for financial assistance ever again. This company has let us down countless times. We borrowed a personal loan for $40k and paid an origination few a few thousand as well. After a year of making payments we fell on hard times like the rest of the world during a global pandemic. They reduced our payments making them more affordable but we paid the price with interest. I was able to get a home equity loan to reduce this interest rate and reduce my monthly payment. I paid the account off for $40k a year later and paid over $12,000 in interest over that year but that wasn't enough. The payoff was a $1000 short so after consolidating my debt and I had to pay Freedom another $1000. Zero customer service, emails go unanswered, phone call are not returned, and overall just a horrible lender.

This company was great at first, however, since I have been impacted by COVID, they are unwilling to assist me in any way. I asked for a ONE month deferment due to be laid off and they refuse to help or defer my payment because my account wasn't opened on or before May 1st, even though I have been a customer prior to this account and have always made my payments without fail. This is the only company I have dealt with that refuses to help but instead emails me a COVID resource guide, as if I haven't already used all the resources I have to make sure my bills are paid. It is sad to me that this company won't assist a customer during a financial hardship even though I was told at the time I first requested the deferment that I would later be able to defer once the account was 6 months old. It is now over 6 months old and they still won't help me. I will not be doing any more business with this company once this loan is paid off.

At first this was a great company, the loan was easy to get. We received the loan before all of the Covid-19 lock-downs. Our income was affected by this and they have not been cooperative at all. All of the other companies were willing to work with us and put 2-3 payments on the end but not FreedomPlus. They told us that because our loan was new that there was nothing they could do. It should not matter how new the loan is. It's not like we chose to have our income affected.

Don't even bother with these crooks. Reached out about a consolidation loan with them and they initially seemed nice enough. Went through all of the hoops they want you to go through and was quoted an interest rate, and said underwriting just needed to verify employment. They claim it took 5 days to reach HR and that they called several times a day, but my HR Manager said the number they left said they were unable to complete the call and that she never received another call after the initial message.
Finally after 5 days they call me and say oh we gave the incorrect number, have her call this one. They verify the same day and call me back with an interest rate 10% higher than what it was initially, claiming that since it took so long the interest rates skyrocketed in the mean time, even though interest rates are at a historic low right now. I respectfully declined because of the rate, they get rude and hang up. Fast forward a few weeks later and they call me stating my approval is about to expire and if I was still interested. I reconsider and decide to proceed knowing I'd most likely end up refinancing anyway after about 6 months, and it would be nice to only have the one payment. Get them more information, including my bank information (which I'm now worried about) and they call me the next day saying underwriting is now declining it because of my profession, that they are considering it high risk. Waste of time and very unprofessional company.

I first discovered FreedomPlus by way of Lending Tree. After supplying written assurance that my exploration into loan options would not result in a hard inquiry on my credit reports, I provided Lending Tree with requested information. Lending Tree indicated pre-approval with FreedomPlus, along with a few other lenders. The potential interest fee indicated per FreedomPlus was a rather wide range, so I contacted FreedomPlus by phone. I was told by a customer service representative that a hard inquiry on my credit report would ensue only if a chose to pursue an application. She proposed a personal loan with an outrageously high interest fee, over 28%. My credit score was excellent. I politely declined pursuing an application at that time.
Two months later, I contacted FreedomPlus again. I was told to finalize the application, understanding that my application was a continuation of the earlier one. I have since discovered that FreedomPlus, instead, treated both instances of contact as applications with two hard inquiries. The lack of transparency and clarity at FreedomPlus is concerning. I contacted FreedomPlus to request removal of the first hard inquiry. The representative was unclear as to my history with FreedomPlus, even after I explained the circumstances, and could not provide proof of said history. He then became rude when I challenged him and hung up on me.

After their misleading ads I attempted to get a loan. At 1st it was how much do you want then a few days later they wanted to see my pay stub. After explaining I was a 1099 employee they immediately turned me down. I then called in and spoke to a supervisor. After proving income was correct and supplying my bank records I'm told they go by net income meaning after all your Bills are paid...I had to take off work to accomplish all the paperwork. I'll never be SCAMMED again.

The loan agent that I dealt with A. ** was wonderful. But when I took my original loan out was at a extremely high interest rate. I was told that if I made 6 months on time payments that my rate would be greatly lowered to possibly around 5%. So I made 6 on time payments and called to have the loan amount refinanced and unfortunately my loan percent rate is nowhere near the 5% I was lead to believe I would receive.

Updated on 02/28/2020: Since my review of Freedomplus posted on February 25, 2020, I have received daily calls from them. Each one ending like the last; the representative claims that they will deactivate my application. But then, another call. I made them an offer, if their desire to do business with me warranted daily calls, if they met my terms I would consider doing business with them. They have called me two more times, since I made my offer, neither call was an acceptance, only a representative trying to sell me a different loan. I will likely not ever do business with this company, and I will strongly discourage family and friends from entering into any agreement with Freedomplus. It is not worth this harassment at work and at home.
Original review: I am very disappointed with my experience, working with FreedomPlus. I was initially preapproved with my spouse for one rate. I was contacted by Antwan ** (the only reason I gave 2 stars, instead of 1. He was polite, professional, and respectful the entire time) and I proceeded with the application. FreedomPlus extended their offer and we accepted. I verified our employment, income, and credit rating. At this point, right before signing the contract, FreedomPlus tried changing the terms. I rejected this new offer. I insisted that they adhere to the original terms. The underwriters claimed that they were unable to verify my income and that was the reason for the new offer. I resolved that issue.
FreedomPlus generated a completely new offer and cited the fact that I would receive cash from the loan and this increased the risk. I resolved that issue by providing all accounts to which payment would be issued directly. FreedomPlus refused to honor the original offer and therefore I rejected the new offer. I do not do business with companies of this sort. You make an offer, I expect that you honor those terms unless you can provide the reason, with demonstrable evidence if needed, for the change. I will not be doing business with FreedomPlus in the future as these types of business practices are unprofessional and do not give a consumer reason to trust such an entity.

From the start is was so simple. I read a lot of negative reviews so it worried me, however my experience so far was nothing like that. Within a day I was approved. I don’t have a perfect credit score or anything. I just bought a house so I needed to consolidate my debt to pay it off faster. I am utterly shocked and disgusted about the illegality and fraudulent business practices of this company!!! A total and complete SCAM. After THREE DAYS and countless hours/emails, I was first conditionally approved, then completely approved for a loan. As in, I specifically asked the loan consultant-this is a final approval, correct? I was told “I no longer will have to make those credit card payments as it will be paid off within 3 business days”. I made it CLEAR in the first 5 minutes of the two hours that I did not have one particular document. The agent told me no problem, and then started asking for it two hours later and GHOSTED.
I pursued, got two different supervisors, sent countless emails. A supervisor finally just got back to me and said “we can pull the call and get back to you”. I’ve only asked for that countless times. This is absolutely ILLEGAL. Beware of this company as they will BOLD FACE lie to you, take all your info, RUN A HARD CREDIT CHECK WITHOUT your knowledge, and then change their mind and pretend they never said what they did. I hope for a resolution, but will not give up without a resolution and will sue if necessary.
All calls are recorded with this company, so be AWARE these calls can be subpoenaed in a court of law and used for proof of their EMPTY promises! The game playing is also UNREAL! They have “direct lines” which don’t even ring and go directly to voicemail. You can play phone tag for HOURS. I finally reached a top supervisor who had the literal AUDACITY to tell me he was “trying to meet me in the middle” by POSSIBLY removing the hard credit check within (get this) TWO TO THREE MONTHS! He did not even so much as personally pull the recorder calls and listen before calling me. He said his employees had! Some guts these guys have!DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. BEWARE OF THIS SCAM/FRAUDULENT/ILLEGAL activity. This is only my first attempt to get them to complete the loan THEY started. Next is legal action. They will wish they had simply kept their word by the time this is over!!! LET ME BE CLEAR about the answer. They are no
doubt going to give below-my income is MORE than verifiable. I have a fresh 2 month mortgage based on said income with a LARGE amount in the bank account over EIGHTEEN times the loan amount!! They requested 15 months worth of statements for that account which were provided IN ADDITION to a real estate investment account worth more than FIFTEEN times the loan. I just completed a 4 year loan with my local bank using the very income, but apparently their bank is “special”. Yeah so special-money isn’t good enough for them.

My experience with Kathi ** was great. Most of my accounts have been paid. The loan was processed on Monday September 23rd. It has been 11 days and my Capital One line of credit still had not been paid. Unsure why that is.

Today for the second time in 2 months Freedom Plus online payment system debited my bank account twice in he same month. The first taking my vacation money the day it began, then again today taking rent money. The first was refunded 10 days towards the end of my vacation, but today I was told that they could not refund this time because they did last month and kept accusing me of accidentally making the mistake, telling me the second debit will be applied to my account. Even after I told them it was rent money. I’ve been making these payments for years, this wasn’t user error.
My point is; 1. even if it was customer error, why wouldn’t you accommodate your customer? 2. Freedom Plus online system is very awkward and inconvenient to its patrons, making you have to schedule 3 days in advance before debiting and 3. It’s a severe lack of quality to image for their payment website to even allow their customers to make that kind of mistake in the first place. It didn’t allow you to do that before. In 2019, this is a behind the curve oversight that hurts the customer and Freedom Plus firm policy adds insult to injury. I’m very disappointed, because the representative was sweet until the supervisor... Best Regards.

Just here to warn consumers about this company. My wife and I recently took out a debt consolidation loan for $40,000. The loan was easy enough to obtain and the loan officer seemed professional. Then comes the real dealing with the customer service and the group know as Freedom Financial Network. If you look up FreedomPlus on BBB you will find that they have an A+ rating. From what I have seen these are just the loan folks. Begin to deal with their customer service or should I say customer disservice and that is where the trouble lies.
I make my second payment to them and then have them debit an automatic payment as well. Apparently although I stated 100 times that I did not want this setup, they through it in the loan paperwork and as the loan officer was trying to push this through quickly we missed it. No major ordeal since you are allowed to cancel automatic payment at any time. But when I was debited twice and then followed their customer service advice to get the money back, FreedomPlus credited my account back twice and then claimed that I missed my payment and charged me over $65.00 in fees. When trying to work with customer service they insisted it was my fault. But they were willing to waive all fees if I once again allow them to pull the money from my account. They are just extortionists. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of these criminals!

My experience with FreedomPlus was less than subpar. I waited over two weeks, jumped through unnecessary hoops, provided the documentation and my credit scores are in the good category. I had to continuously email my loan officer Edward ** for a status update. Luckily for me, I am glad that I don't have to deal with inconsiderate and inconsistency in communication.

I had a pretty good experience with Victoria the Lending agent, until the very end. I was trying to borrow 20K. I have a credit score of 740, and I had my father co-sign because he had the income that they asked for. His credit score is 850. I thought for sure that we would get a good offer. We got an offer of 13% APR, which I can live with, but then she told me what the loan origin fee was.... 5%!!!
$1K to give me a loan with perfect credit and more than enough income to back it up. I have to say that’s the most GREEDY thing I’ve ever heard. I think Freedom Plus preys on people that have no other choice in options. Needless to say, I have options, and am getting my loan through my credit union that doesn’t charge people insane amounts of money to borrow money. Real banks don’t charge loan origin fees of any kind, and I actually got the same loan for 9% with no fees. I should have known it was a scam....

I received direct marketing mail from this company and after a soft credit check I was preapproved. I make 90,000 a year have a FiCO Score of 700 and they offered me a 15k loan at 16.9 APR. They are insane. They claim that it would be cheaper than having my 3 credit cards in the long run as I would only be paying one loan. This company might as well be a credit card company with those rates. This lender does not even show up on the top 10 best lenders review. Steer clear from these unscrupulous lenders. They are bad for your Financial Health. They have horrible reviews and probably the good reviews are from professional reviewers. Not real folks like me. Edgar ** Philadelphia

After just receiving a rejection for a loan by Lending Club, I was not enthusiastic about trying another company as we couldn't comprehend why our credit score of 730 and no history of late or slow payments for over 40 years would have resulted in that decision. My wife, however, gave it another shot and input our loan request on the FreedomPlus website. Wow, immediately we received a pre-approved notification and a call from Amanda who proceeded to work with us to complete the online application and submssion of supporting documents. Well, within 6 hours we had final approval of the loan, with great terms and interest rate. This was the most pleasant, amazing, hassle free financial transaction we've experienced in a long time.
