Achieve Personal Loans Reviews

My mom passed away in January 2023, and I became the estate administrator. I had to keep paying her mortgage along with my own, plus utilities and cleanup, and it added up to about $20,000. So I decided to try to get a loan to pay off my car and consolidate some of my credit cards. I found Achieve through Credit Karma and qualified for $15,000. They called me last year, trying to give me more, but my credit was still bad. I work overtime and have been picking up extra shifts to improve my credit. And it did. Everything is very expensive here in California, so I’ve been working overtime and paying down my credit cards. The loan helped because my credit card interest was so high.

I wanted to put some credit cards together and only have one payment. I have an 830 credit score, so it's not hard to get a loan. I could have gotten a loan with anybody, but I'd already had a loan through my bank and they didn’t wanna give me what I wanted. I had some options, but I wanted to get it done quick, and Achieve Personal Loans gave me a decent deal. Application was easy and when someone has good credit, it matters. I didn’t have to do anything and the lending process was short. I could have gotten a better interest rate though.

The lending process at Achieve was very easy. Everything was online. It was a consolidation loan, and it went very smoothly. The only thing I didn't like was the interest rate. I thought, with my payment history with Achieve, that I would get a better rate. I've been with Achieve for several years now. But I went through all this stuff to get this done, and then when I found out about the interest rate, I called back. They said, right now they'd have to leave it the way it is, and then after six months I could refinance it. I've been working to try to get all this in line. And my one credit card offered me a zero-interest rate. So, if I can't get it back down to 699, which is what it was on my last loan, I'll probably just pay it off with the credit card.

I called Achieve a lot with getting the payoff quotes because the closing kept getting changed, and every person I spoke to on that customer service team, even the ones in Jamaica and other places, was so good. They knew what they were doing. They did it quickly. They sent the pay-offs or whatever document I needed. They wrote to my email while I was on the phone, and they were friendly and professional. I refinanced a loan that would take six years to pay off. So, it started over again. But I just paid off the loan. It wasn't a confusing process. My loan officer made it seamless and did it within a matter of minutes on the phone. They explained it along the way, answered questions, and did everything quickly. It was unbelievable. The only drawback was that the percentage rate on the loan was quite high. It was about what you would get on a credit card. But working with Achieve was wonderful.

I checked the interest rates and Achieve was much lower than some of the other companies that I checked. The application process simple, didn't require too much work no more than getting the bills together, and they did the rest. Kash, our loan officer, was very nice. Everything seemed to be nice. The people are nice when you call. They had given us a due date, which was in the middle of the month. Neither one of us get paid till the end of the month. So we did our first payment, and then they moved our payment like we wanted closer to the end of the month. That was very nice of them. Achieve is trustworthy and they do their job very well.

Achieve Personal Loans has been great to deal with. Their application process was very quick and easy and they walked us through the whole thing. The rep we talked to was absolutely wonderful, very helpful, and answered all of our questions. We've been dealing with Achieve for a couple of years now, and their customer service has been phenomenal. I would highly recommend Achieve. Our experience has been pleasant.

I appreciate the opportunity to consolidate my debt. However, the cost to Achieve is outrageous! It is like paying a home mortgage. $3,000 was added to my loan for consolidating 47,005 of debt and the interest rate is at 11.49% resulting in daily charges to my account of $15.21 ($450 monthly). The combination of upfront fees, long term double-digit interest can make this type program less attractive than marketed.

Worst experience ever. They would send me money then I would send it back to get my credit up a couple points. We're going on 4 days and still no money. Don’t deal with Richard. They will ignore you, put you hold for ever. They need better customer services cause getting a loan shouldn’t take 4 days.

It appears to me that the fee for my loan was taken from the amount of the loan. That same amount now appears added to the principle of the loan meaning I need to pay the fee again. They are unable to explain this to me in a way that makes sense to me.
