This is the first year this company has scammed me. They made me pay the fee for federal, state and city, but never sent my city return. Then told me to amend it and the numbers changed. I have to call the treasury and they told me to fax it to them. I’ve told ezTaxReturn week after week that the return wasn’t sent, and then when they found out it wasn’t sent didn’t even offer me a refund of their incompetence. I now have to spend more money to send my return in and this would be my last time ever using this company. I also, believe the self employment tax isn’t being sent to the appropriate parties as well because there is no recollection of those payments made to the SSC Administration.

I had tried 3 other programs and they all were confusing. ezTaxReturn was simple to use and asked all the right questions. Setting up the Google Authenticator code was a little difficult. Other than that it was really easy.

Used this software for 2025 federal and state returns. Was notified by email that the primary social security number from a prior year ezTaxReturn user account was used on a different user account this year. The email did not give any further information other than if I was aware of this to disregard the message. Neither return was submitted by them. I filed using a different IRS partner with no issues. I requested a refund from ezTaxReturn and they have refused. I reported this to the BBB, and they continue to deny a refund.

My experience was the worst ever!!!! This website is a scam website!!! Spend enormous amount of time many fighting the software bugs on the simplest things to enter. I went through 3 hours of aggravation using their free service for a simple Senior tax return. At the end, SURPRISE!!! We want $36 to file your return. I had to delete my ezTaxReturn account because who knows what these scammers will do with my personal data! Even more appalling is there is a link on IRS.gov to use this trusted SCAM partner!!! You cannot file online directly with the IRS anymore and they force you to use one of their SCAM partners. Doing your taxes manually on paper forms and mailing them to the IRS is the only way to go if you want to file for free!

Total scam operation! Filed fed and state and paid their fee yet keep getting emails to “file my taxes” with them! Customer service is useless. DO NOT USE! They have no recorded of my filings despite the fact that I paid already!

Don't use this site. It will not file my state (Ohio) return because it does not know where to put a 1099 oil gas royalty on the state return. Ohio says it is income and should be reported as such. They sure took my money though. Also there is no way to communicate to resolve their problem. I am now trapped in their ignorant system. DO NOT USE. Hell, I can't find my receipt either. Poof.

I used this site to file my 2023 return. I returned this year for my 2024 return. The site is a little slower than the others but seemed to be able to do what I wanted. On April 14, I completed my return and when through the efile process. Returning the next day, I discovered that my return was filed so I went back and completed the process. Again it stated my return was filed. On April 17 I received notice that the IRS flagged the return for correction. I went to the IRS site to verify and they notified me that they never received the 2023 return, that EZTax stated was filed. Contacted customer service and they said that I was at fault.

Was contacted by email pretty quickly, so I raised it one star. Also, the taxes were done properly by the software, so I grudgingly raise another star. I still don't like the fact that I can't call someone and that I can't audit/amend my tax return online like I can with TurboTax. Still would not recommend for these 2 reasons.

I have used them for years. There has been so many glitches in their system this year. Now my return has been rejected and their system won't allow me to login. I have been reaching out for over a week with zero response from their customer service. I understand it is tax season but over a week is insane. There isn't a phone number you can call either. So they are holding up my refund and there is no help in sight. Their system sends me a blank username when I try to reset/ get my username. Keeping in mind I had to create a new profile this year because their reset PW wasn't working either for my other account. Issue after issue. Wouldn't be a big deal if it only took a day or two to hear back. I can't even tell if my state was accepted. So trying to just file elsewhere??? No idea if I should file state or not.

Yes, we finished with the taxes. Thank you for your help, Ed. We have been customers for many years and never had a problem until this year. We are glad your group contacted us by email and helped us to resolve the issues we had. We do my son's taxes also; he began filing on 2023. Waiting for some documents from him. We will continue as customers in your company.

I filed a return on the 26th of January, the return was rejected on the 28th of January so I opened a case. It has not been addressed, even though I wrote 2 more emails. ezTax is holding my return hostage since they refuse to provide (or cannot) instruction on how to fix the issue. There is no way this should take 5 days. In my latest email, I asked them to delete my return so I am able to file elsewhere and nothing but crickets. I highly suggest people not to use this company.

The process was fairly easy and straightforward, but if you have anything besides a W2 they have hidden fees at the very end. So if you spent 2 hours filling out your taxes like I did only to discover them at the end it's a pretty big bummer. While the fees are cheaper than most of the competitor sites it's still a sizable amount, and at least those sites tell you they will be charging you extra.

I am very grateful for Tyan. She has done my kids' taxes and mine. She is amazing and very good explaining my questions. I will continue to go to her. This is my 2nd year and I am very pleased. Thank you for all your help and care.

Warning DO NOT USE EZTAXRETURN. Yes - it may be free, but that is the only good thing about it. I just tried their software because the 'free' service I used last year now wants to charge me $50 for the same tax return forms as the previous year. Here is what happened: Entered all our personal info, income, expenses etc. without any issues. Their 'Federal Bottom Line' page indicated a tax due over $1200 more than what it should have been!

I received an e-mail telling me my State tax return was rejected, with instructions to log onto my account and there would be complete instructions on how to correct the return. There is nothing on my account page that tells me how to make the correction and I cannot access my State return to make corrections. To date, I have sent four messages to request help and have not received a response. EZTax has taken my money but has done nothing to help me correct the situation.

I use ezTaxReturn’s electronic website for filing and it makes it so simple even for someone like me. Their website is easy to see, read and find your way around. In a lot of websites, a lot of professional jargon throws you off and that's not the case with them. They're straightforward. ezTaxReturn is awesome. I give them my information and they seem to be respectful about how they handle it. They provide me with information so that I can determine whether I need something to change something. They give me the opportunity to have an opinion about what's gonna go in my file and allow me to check it electronically two or three times. Finally, I get to decide if I'm going to submit. The first time I filed, I didn't pay because I was under a limit. But I paid on my subsequent filing. It was affordable and extremely reasonable.

The experience with ezTaxReturn was grotesque. They were incompetent and very unethical. They harass people. They refused to do the taxes of my son as a mentally handicapped person because their service would have been free, and, therefore, they weren't going to make any money on him. I'm his guardian and I should have sued them. They were nasty jerks who discriminated against the mentally handicapped and they should be shut down by the IRS. People need to be warned about the shyster and immoral organization that they are. The company called us seven times this morning and I went off on them. I'm usually a pretty calm person but they were absolutely foul.

My stepmom got me into ezTaxReturn and my experience has been good. The enrollment process was okay and they got back to me fast. I did a full return and the process took about three weeks. I just uploaded the paperwork and that was easy. In the end, I got what I needed back. I'll do ezTaxReturn again.

The first time I used ezTaxReturn, it took two hours because I didn't have too much experience filing taxes online. But after three times, it was easy for me and my wife, because we do it together all the time. I was supposed to pay $50 the first time and ezTaxReturn gave me a $20 discount. I just paid $30. It was a good price because around the area I live in, they charge a lot of money. The second time, it was 40 and it's still 40. I referred ezTaxReturn to my friends and they started using them too.

They had to adjust my taxes a couple of times. They took care of everything. It was great. Their website was real easy to use.

The first time I used ezTaxReturn, it was easy to use and I liked that the reps walked me through things. They would say that if you’re not sure, it’s probably no on certain questions. And ezTaxReturn was free. But I did a complete tax return and paid for the state one. Their price is reasonable and certainly cheaper than going to H&R Block. This year I got a notice saying that someone had already filed using my taxpayer ID number and I tried for a day but could not get ahold of the IRS. I reached out to ezTaxReturn and asked them if they could give me any idea of what to do and they sent me a link to the IRS website on the page that told me what to do in the event this happened. It was excellent and very helpful. They were the only help I got. I even called an accountant and they said they couldn’t get in touch with the IRS either.

I used ezTaxReturn for the federal and state tax returns and they need to build up their home-based business feature. I needed to do it so I had to go back and answer questions that weren't accurate in order to get the form to populate such as when you answer and it says, “Do you work?”. I have a full-time job. So, it took me down that route and then, it didn't give me any option to go back, so I went back to the beginning. I answered the questions a second time. But people should choose them because it's cheaper than the competitors.

ezTaxReturn is expensive. They keep the information for whatever time. Also, I had to pay to retrieve my information. I'm not too happy with the service.

I like ezTaxReturn and how they have a running total as I do my taxes so I can see where I'm at. It's a good product.

My returns were different at one point and then they became balanced. All my information saved. ezTaxReturn was a lot quicker and smoother of a process. I just do it online. We have the basic W-2s and some small stuff. It's usually one of those quick e-files so there's not a lot of complexity with them.

When I had any type of questions or issues, I have followed the procedure online, and ezTaxReturn's reps have always gotten back to me quickly. Even if I didn't understand something and emailed them again, they would always explain and fix it. One time, I was owed a refund and they issued it right away because I double paid and I was supposed to get a bundle. I'm going to keep using them. Plus, every time it's tax time, I just go on and they already have everything.

ezTaxReturn always sends me an offer for a discount, but I never get the code in there. It's hard. I get an email with a code and I wanna use it. I start the process from that email. But I get to that part and I've already checked out, it's not there. I'm sure it's a big thing of user error. But because I use the link, I thought it would be easy and be on there. ezTaxReturn should have something that says, "Add code now before they total." Because I couldn't go back once it's completed. I'm so scared I would start over. There's no way I'm gonna make a stop. What if that screwed everything up? And 20% off is not worth it. But for more than one year, I never got to use the discount. Which is usually only 5% or $20. But every bit helps. I have my own little business. So, I always have to pay in. Other than that, the reps were helpful.

There were things that I liked and things that I didn't like with ezTax. I liked the user interface. It was very simple to put information in. But I won't use them again because of the inconsistency. I had logged in three different times to submit my return this year. The first time, it showed me that I had about a $5,000 state and about a $5,000 federal return that I would owe to each. The second time that I logged in, it said I owed nothing for the state but owed to the fed. When I logged in for the third time, did my final filing and submitted everything, it still said I didn't owe anything for the state, but it also said I didn't owe anything for the fed. Then I got a bill from the fed for that amount. It was confusing. Getting that bill with additional late fees was not fun. I was not changing any information but the results changed for me. That has me not confident in using the service again.

I was able to do everything online with ezTaxReturn. I like their online process. It's fine and easy. The problem I had last year was I was doing my taxes and I'm on a fixed income. It popped up and said, “Nothing to report here.” Now, maybe it was my fault. Maybe I didn't read the whole thing. But I thought it meant I didn't even have to report. So I didn't file taxes for last year. I probably should have reached out to them, but I just hope that it doesn't come back to bite me in the **.

I’ve been with ezTaxReturn for about four years. I’m doing both State and Federal together but if I got too much on there and I don't get that much, I pick which ones I wanna use and I pay the next one for next year or just in case something happens to me.

There are a lot of things that I like using ezTaxReturn for. I've been using them since 2015 online. I like that I can go back and see all of my tax stuff in one space, that I can download my tax stuff afterwards, and that they send me email notifications when I need to amend things. It's in the name. ezTaxReturn is easy to use. It makes it simple for someone like me who has a specific income. If I had more complicated tax filing, it wouldn't work. But for people that make under $50,000 a year that need to do their taxes quickly, it's a great service.

My only choice to use to complete tax returns. I especially liked the option to guide me through the process. User friendly and easy to follow. I have recommended to friends and family! I always feel confident and appreciate the quick response both in refunds and answering my questions via email.

ezTaxReturn is so simple that it takes so little time for me. From the time I sit down to the time I'm done is less than 45 minutes. It's a lot easier than anything else I've ever used and I like the fact that I'm using somebody else's professional capacity to guide me through these forms. I feel comfortable with that.

I always liked ezTaxReturn. I've been using them for 20 years. The only year I didn't use them was when I had a complicated situation, so I went to an actual CPA. Their reps are great. They get back to you fast, and they have an answer for your question. The website is really good. I used to be an accountant, so I understand taxes for the most part, but it gives you a choice of, "I know what I'm doing. Let me just go through it on my own," or, "Why don't you give me some guidance and help me through the way," which I always do to be safe.

Electronically, ezTaxReturn's website is easy to use. If you wanna go back and look at a different year, you just click on that and pull it up, and then you can start doing comparisons. Their website is great. It is self-explanatory. It gives you options on, "Do you need help filing this” or “are you okay doing things on your own?" So, I've never had to call their customer service or engage them at all. ezTaxReturn is a tax software that I would recommend to any of my friends.

I haven't finished my taxes for this year. There was an identification number that I needed and I had no idea what it was. I called the IRS. I was trying to see if I could get whatever number it was from them. But they said ezTaxReturn should know what the number is. So, I didn’t have a good experience with ezTaxReturn. Whatever that number is, they should be able to get that. They either have a contact number for the IRS or they should give some information and instructions on where that number can be found.

The process with ezTaxReturn is simple. I do it through the app myself. They have step-by-step instructions, which is good for me. What I would do is I would start and then stop, and that is one of the values that I really like. I like that I could stop, and then go back to it another day or two days later and I didn't have to start over. It saves the spot that I was in and I can start from that section. Overall, ezTaxReturn is good and easy to use. Use it. Try it.

I liked ezTaxReturn's cost. And before COVID, they were reliable. They always handled me well. A couple of times before the tax credit, I needed more help than I was getting and they gave me a free CPA. However, it was more difficult to reach out to them late or post-covid. There wasn't enough people. I went straight to voice mail and I ended up using email. They were under the weather because they weren't back on their feet like most people. But we ended up getting everything taken care of.

I've used ezTaxReturn probably for five years now and I've never had a problem. It’s great that I'm able to file more quickly than I had done in the past and in turn, getting my refund more quickly. They keep my previous year tax returns on file, so that I can access them whenever I need them, as well as being able to roll forward any information in that tax return. The ease of being able to file a tax return is super wonderful. They have a wizard that walks you through each of the steps so, I never miss anything. If you need to stop midway through the process, it saves your progress and you're able to return and continue working on it. Sometimes, if you want to take a look at different alternatives, you can enter information, see how it affects the end result, and then go back and modify things as needed. So, it's very helpful. If people need an online tax return company, ezTaxReturn would be the company I would choose.

Everything is online with ezTaxReturn. It's hard to get in contact with them. I tried to recently as I was confused with the tax return and I had a lot of questions. I got the runaround and it wasn't the right number on the website that was given. The representative should be able to access the account information to be able to answer questions and help.
