Seems things are getting worse with Chase. I just recently deposit a check at the ATM because it's more than the amount allowed through my phone. $200 was available right away, the rest has a 2-day hold. No problem. Two days later I got an email and also a letter saying they changed the hold to now 9 days... OK, I can wait, but at be honest first instead of two days later changing it... note this is a check from the same person I had in the, no issue before, just now. Second, I tried to use my Chase card with an online shop I used in the past a few times with no issues. They blocked it and called me to unblock so I can use it again or in the near future.
Today I order from the same shop again. Guess what, blocked again. Got a missed call with the same heavy Indian accents from the last time that claim to have fixed the issue. Now asking me to call back to have the block remove... What a waste of time and effort. Do they block so much now and make you waste your time calling in for nothing??? Their online message respond is just copy & paste and for sure not read the message at all to begin with. No help at all. Total waste of time and so useless!!!

A Chase ATM malfunctioned while I was depositing three checks. While they were able to locate two of the checks, the third check, which was for over $3,000 was destroyed or lost by Chase. The burden of proof and responsibility of rectifying this situation fell upon me alone. Chase was NO help. The "trained" professionals in their "claims department", when not leaving me on hold for 20 minutes at a time, provided me with conflicting and confusing information. One representative went so far as to accuse me of running some sort of scam with the missing check. The check was issued by my employer, a public school district! Since I am not involved in some elaborate con-game with the public school that employs me, I was highly insulted by that allegation. In the end, my employer was able to issue me a new check.
However I never received an apology from Chase or an acknowledgment of fault on their own part. Their mistake cost me hours of time and aggravation. The only thing I was guilty of was being one of their customers. I am in the process of moving all of my accounts to another bank and would advise anyone who is with Chase to do the same. Ultimately they lost a check for over $3,000 of my money and then I was responsible for rectifying the situation. If you’re okay with incompetence, Chase is the bank for you.

I did not know how difficult it is to call Chase Bank and report a lost ATM card. First of all, I logged online to my account and realized chase's system down. I then call the chase (800) 935-9935 and of course it went to Philippine customer service and I have to go thru all my request, verified my info, explained and finally the rep told me the system down and I have to call back later time.
In my mind the rep could have tell me that chase system down at the beginning instead of make me go thru all then cannot help me because chase system down. Throughout the years, I notice chase bank is POOR overall in many ways. You just can't put your money here in invest and growth and bad customer service. I am looking for to bring my business to somewhere else. Consumer, if you are looking to open your account here then this chase bank is not the choice.

Their limit is set to $500 daily withdrawal. Even if you have more money. I have set my direct deposit in this bank, but I also bank with Bank of America, where bill pay feature is much modern. After reducing several times the amount to be withdrawn, while other customers were behind me waiting. I was able to remove $500, next day I called to their customer service to increase the daily withdrawal, but they told me I have to wait till I have that balance in my account to call again. I have never overdrawn my account. I just set up my direct deposit and I wanted to prevent what previously happened to me. As I also bank in Bank of America, I can compare and see their deficiencies on their services.

So I noticed an unauthorized charge on my Chase account after getting a notification that I couldn't sign in to my account because somebody had tried numerous times with the wrong password. Somebody transferred PayPal funds using their name & my account number. This did not alert Chase to stop the transaction, so I went to the bank and had to close my checking account and open a new one. This is when I was informed that my account was no longer available and that to have a new checking account I had to pay a $12 fee monthly. I said. "Wait a minute somebody hacked into my bank account and now you're going to penalize me after you allowed it to happen?" So basically, yep... my job doesn't provide direct deposit and they refused to take responsibility and waive the fees. $12 a month x 1 million people. That's a lot of money. I can't believe they're penalizing me because somebody hacked their system.

I am a victim of harassment, discrimination and bullying by Chase. On August 19th, I discovered that my Chase Debit card was blocked. I phoned Chase several times and continued to be rerouted to their Fraud Division Customer Service Dept. which is handled through the Philippines! I was not given a reason as to why my card was blocked. However, I was told that I would have to provide the Chase Rep. with photocopies of 2 forms of ID and a photocopy of the front and back of my Chase Debit card... I was informed that the photo would have to be clear enough so that they could read the numbers on the front and the 3-digit security code on the back!
I refused to comply. I was asked if I could provide addresses where I lived when I was young. I AM 51 YEARS OLD! I was also asked if I knew the names of any bank managers where I did my banking. I BANK EXCLUSIVELY ONLINE. Nonetheless, I returned home and continued to press the matter with other Chase customer service agents via my cell phone and ultimately was able to get the block removed. Albeit, I was forced to miss work for 3 days because of the inability to use my Chase Debit card. (I am a Southwest Airlines Flight Attendant and flying across the nation and spending nights in various hotels, I MUST have access to my Chase Debit Card). I received a phone call from Chase Executive Office and was informed that my complaint was researched and resolved... My card was unblocked and usable and my case would be closed.
However, as of today, September 10th, I discovered that my Chase Debit Card is once again BLOCKED FOR NO REASON! It comes less than 12 hours after my case (complaint against Chase Fraud Division Customer Service) was closed. I am once again having to forego 3 days of work and pray that this issue gets resolved by Monday. I have begged for Chase to unblock my card. I have over 2000.00 in my checking account. I do not keep cash in my wallet, so I am dependent upon my Chase Debit card.
I was told once again to submit photos, etc. but this is fraud. Chase Fraud Prevention Customer Service is only angry because I sent a complaint letter to Chase Executive Offices. This is retaliation which is clearly fraudulent and illegal. I've since tried to unblock my card but again Chase Fraud has even blocked my ability to contact any other department except theirs. ALL of my Chase contact numbers are rerouted through the Philippines or on Sunday before noon (India).

Customer service through the "claims" department is the most horrible I have ever experienced. Their ATM took my SCHOLARSHIP check and they failed in every area to be responsive and helpful in the situation. They have no knowledge of the system they and cannot provide the customer with any detailed information other than it is "being investigated." I told them that there was no investigation needed because it was their machines mechanical error and someone just needed to go to the ATM and get the check.
I have been on the phone with them multiple times, most of the representatives are in the Philippines and have little knowledge of how banking in the U.S. works and often have very poor English skills. They referred me to their 'escalations' department because I was distraught about the situation and they continued to tell me how there was nothing they could do and that it would take 10 business days! One representative even stated that the "legally" had until 10 days after I called a week after the incident, meaning I could be waiting even longer and they cared less about getting the situation taken care of quickly.
Like so many on here, I am shocked that one of largest banks in the country would be so apathetic about helping a student who basically had their scholarship monies disappear into one of their ATMs. I am leaving and going to another bank. All people considering switching to Chase should think twice. The second anything goes wrong, they will fail you and treat you poorly in the process. They care less about their customers, I guess this what happens when companies get that big.

I opened a checking and savings account with Chase Bank in Bayport a over a week ago. Both the deposit slips were filled out incorrectly by the banker which led to the teller depositing the money & checks incorrectly and left me short $2,000. I have been more than patient with them trying to correct this issue but every time I am told something, they don't follow through and here I am still without my money to pay my mortgage this month.
They put another expedited claim through and told me I would have an update and it should be resolved today. Today I receive a call from the banker who messed this up in the first place stating they figured it out but it will take another 5-7 business days to get my money back. The crazy part is the whole deposit was cash and they are now withholding my cash because they messed up. I am beyond frustrated and now freaking out to try to be able to pay all of my bills for the month and still have money to support my 5 month old daughter and household.

A few years back I opened a student checking account for both of my daughters. I have been with Chase for about 6 years and been very happy with the experience until recently. My oldest daughter is 19 and works two jobs and is not big into technology. Since her account is linked to my account I periodically check the account to make sure everything is okay. Recently there were three withdrawals made out of her account and large sums and by the time I realized something was wrong and alerted her, Chase stated that she took too long to respond even with a police report and are now expecting her to pay for the withdrawals even though it was not her who withdrew the money. This was a learning account which is why it is called a student account and yet they expected her to behave like an adult that it had an account for 10 years. This is a 19-year old that works two jobs and again is not big on technology.
They were very rude and did not try to work with us whatsoever even with a police report. They then claimed that they never received the report number even though we walked physically into a branch and the lady told us that she would fax over the information to corporate. They said it was still our responsibility to go back and do it again! I am extremely disappointed with how they handled the situation. And frankly I would rather pay an attorney $900 than to give them $900 that we never withdrew... this is precisely why so many of my friends have rebelled against banks and reverted back to old-fashioned ways of monitoring their money...

I went into Chase Bank today to open checking and savings accounts. It's over 100 degrees in San Francisco today and I have a broken ankle so I have to use crutches. I decided to get some shopping done before going into the bank, making that my last stop. However, while I shopping my phone was stolen and because of the time it took to file a report I didn't get to the bank until 325pm. I was told that because of the time it takes to open 2 accounts and that the bank closed at 400pm I should come back the next day. Though the heliport threw in a very snotty, "And make sure it's not right before closing time."
I explained that my phone had been stolen so it would be nice if she could call a taxi for me but apparently the teller phones don't have access to outside lines but security could call. I walked to the front, where the security guard was playing a game on his phone, and explained my situation to which he said, "We're not supposed to make calls for anyone, and I don't know the number anyway." I told him that I knew the number but he still insisted that he couldn't make calls but maybe the library would. Basically, that I could walk on my crutches across 4 lanes of traffic on one of the busiest streets in the city to get there. Really?! Because I did not have a phone and because I have a mobility impairment, too bad for me, I guess. Well too bad for you, I'll open my accounts elsewhere!

My name is Rick ** and I was a member of Chase Bank for the past 20 years. I was brutally accused of a crime in which the defendants in which are employees of the Chase Bank (Located on Crenshaw & Vernon) viciously accused me of (Groping an Employee of that branch). The situation began on August 10, 2017 as I was making a routine deposit into my bank account using the ATM machine located inside the entry lobby. I then decided to get some information about starting a second chance account for one of my friends and colleague based on their need to have a functional bank account needed before signing up for a modeling agency. I was greeted by one of the bank personnel after signing in at the front of the bank lobby. After going into the cubicle of this bank employee I began asking general questions about this second chance opportunity for my friend to start her account.
I was given very little information from this employee in response to my questions so I decided to take matters into my own hands and call my friend and have her come down to the bank and get her account started. I politely left the cubicle and began making my call to this person when within a matter of seconds I was approached by a bank security guard demanding in a rather loud tone for me to leave the bank. A bit startled I wasn’t even sure he was speaking to me as I continued speaking with my friend over the phone. I was then asked again to leave the bank by that same security guard, then knowing that this message was meant for me. As I shut down my phone call to my friend I noticed that the Branch Manager had approached me as well yelling for me to leave the bank. I then became a bit more defensive in asking what the reasons were for them to confront me to leave the bank.
I was told from both the security guard as well as the Branch Manager that I was being accused of touching an employee of their bank inappropriately. I was not only feeling very embarrassed but extremely offended from these accusations. I demanded the Branch Manager to please review the cameras and they will indeed see that they were making a mistake in these accusations and explained that I would not leave this bank until I was satisfied that this accusation was cleared up either by speaking with their employee and looking at the bank video or by call the police and allowing them to look at the video. The Manager replied that he was already going to call the police in which my response was that I would wait for them to arrive so that I could clear this situation and to prove my innocence of this situation.
As I awaited the arrival from the LAPD the manager never came to me and acknowledged looking at the bank video. I began wondering if the Police were ever called due to the time in which I sat around waiting. I waited approximately 1 hr & 30 minutes for the police to arrive. Finally 2 officers show up with pen and paper asking me what went on. I responded by giving them the same account for my being there as is written in this letter. The officers then went over to the Branch Manager and spoke with him for approximately 10-15 mins. Since I was not involved in that conversation I chose to ask about them looking at the video because that is what I was told they were called for.
The response from the LAPD indicated that they never took a look at the video but rather gave me an excuse from the Branch Mgr. that his employee felt uncomfortable speaking with me about mention of a secondary account conversation and chose not to give me any details about my questions in regards to any information, therefore telling the Branch Manager a complete lie about her reasonings for her discomforts. The reasons for me taking this situation a bit further is to expose this kind of treatment that puts a well meaning customer like myself under this cloud of disgrace at the hands of a disgruntled employee or employees.
Making matters even worse, I called Chase Bank Customer service and asked to be speak to a supervisor who could listen to this complaint and take notes for a possible investigation. I was connected to a supervisor who said that she would be definitely taking notes of what had just taken place within the bank that afternoon. I was also told that someone from her department would be getting back to me within the next 24-48 hours regarding this disturbing news. I was never contacted by anyone for the next few days so I decided to make a follow-up call back to the Customer Service Escalations Supervisor and was told that they were still working on this investigation and that someone would still be in touch with me by phone.
I gave them another 48 hours and then decided that I have had enough and demanded that someone get back with me so that I could follow up on what I needed to do in order for some kind of support in settling this matter. After no response I tried using my debit card to take an Uber only to find out the response from the (Uber App) told me that my card was no longer valid, which threw up a RED flag. I then called (Chase Online Banking) where I was told that I must call a special number the next morning only to find out that my account had been suspended and that I had no choice but to wait and receive my money in 7-10 business days by either a cashier's check or money order from Chase. I was also told that Chase had no obligation to discuss why this matter even occurred.
After banking with Chase for over 20+ years this is their goodbye policy. Not only am I offended and embarrassed as part of this being the outcome of my situation but I plan on taking action against Chase for this sort of reckless behavior from their employees, especially the Branch Manager who could have resolved this matter within minutes just by viewing the video cameras placed all along the inside of the Bank. Shame on J.P. Morgan Chase.

Chase is one of the worse banks to do business with. All they're interested in is your HIGH balances and how much they are going to make off of you, while they rip you off slowly. I was notified of a low balance, and made a deposit within 24 hours, they charged whopping $34 overdraft fee for being overdrawn $15, even though I had made the deposit. Well because they charged this incredible fee, this put my balance down again, and as I was notified of a low balance, and made a deposit to correct this, but no, Chase was not happy they felt the need to charge me more. If being a loyal customer gets you this, then I will move along to another banking institution. I was with Chase when they were Bank One and continued on when Chase merged with them. I have been with them over 20 years. This may be ending soon however. I am considering changing banks. Does anyone have a bank they trust and recommend?

When they overdrew my account today, I found that they have been taking a $20 fee from my account without asking me or informing me properly! Customer service is farmed out overseas so you can't understand what they're saying and it is obvious that they don't know a thing about their offering. They're reading off a script and it is incredibly frustrating. Tried to set up a car payment recurring autopay and Chase doesn't let you complete the entire process because if the last payment is different than all the others (which it typically is with ANY TYPE OF LOAN, CAR, HOME ETC.) it won't let you! So they tell you that you have to remember to come back in at the end of your payment cycle (3 years from now!) and remember to change that last payment to the correct amount! Ludicrous!
And, you can't use mobile deposit for anything over $5K! I have been with many other banks and this is the first time I have ever had these ridiculous issues. How stupid. I have been a Chase customer since they were American Fletcher National Bank, which evolved into Bank One, and eventually Chase. I have had the account in question for 20 years. I recently discovered that a fraudulent company -- VOIP -- had been performing automatic deductions from my account using a name that I have never legally used and an address that I had not lived at in over 6 years. I filed a claim with Chase, as over $500 had been deducted from my account over time. When I pointed out that the company was fraudulent you cannot get an answer during business hours, nor contact them through their website -- and that the information they used was incorrect, as well as the authorization on the bottom of the ACH (that my approval had been sought on whatever day of that month), Chase had me close my account out, but denied my claim.
I spoke with several Customer Service Representatives, who advised me that they could not credit this whole amount back, but could only go back a year, but wouldn't do that. I asked them to credit me that in good faith since I had been a long-standing customer, but all refused. I was told to sue the company or go through my Attorney General's office, but that they would not be helping me any further with this. I went into the branch of familiar faces that I know and love (as I have been banking with them for over 20 years), and they advised me to contact the Claims Department again and ask to speak to a supervisor.
I finally called and talked to two more reps before being transferred to a supervisor. Jamilah, a Claims Specialist Supervisor, chided me on not having caught the fraud sooner (as the other reps had done; mind you, I have also been undergoing chemotherapy for the past year, and had just had surgery), but said that she would not do anything because it wouldn't be fair to the other customers, etc. I advised her that I had been an employee of Bank One, and know first-hand that exceptions can be made in order to maintain a customer, and she advised me that this is why they are no longer in business (mind you, they are now CHASE). I have advised them each that if I could not get SOME form of recovery on my account, that I would be closing my accounts out.
As a long-term customer, I felt that they could credit me SOMETHING in good faith. Jamilah basically told me, "So long," and to have a good day, even as I advised her that I would NEVER recommend this bank to another soul. Even if they had credited me a month, although that would have been a drop in the bucket, it would have least reinforced to me that I meant something to them as a customer. Today's transaction assured me that I do not. I am not a millionaire, but I will take my business elsewhere and will encourage any and all to NEVER do business with Chase AGAIN.

I've been banking with Chase for about 10 years. Their branches the numerous, the customer service is 99% grade they were employees are extremely helpful and their products are good. However their fraud prevention leaves something to be desired in that if there is excessive activity on your account, rather than getting in touch with you via phone immediately, they either send an email or don't contact you at all.
In a period of three months, there were five incidences where I used my debit card a number of times during the day (Payday), and after purchasing a large item for $900, I decided to have lunch next door to the business I just used and couldn't order a hotdog because my card was blocked. There were plenty of funds in the account, but apparently the five dollar hot dog brought me over the top of some arbitrary limit. Needless to say I was hungry. I've stayed with them so long maybe out of convenience...direct deposit and automatic withdrawal accounts, etc. However, Chase, who I have had an account for two years, has always gone out of their way to help me...military discounts, parent-children combo account assistance and business account to name a few. I called the company during the free trial period and canceled the account, and was told no additional charges would be made. Called Chase fraud department back to confirm that returning the product would close the claim the company claimed was legit. Chase told me "No the charge was legit" and they charged me. Chase is absolutely ridiculous when it comes to "nickel and dime-ing" - I've been with Chase for 4 years now and have had the worst experience, consistently, for the past four years. After this last circumstance I am closing my account and never returning. (The only reason I stayed for so long was for Chase QuickPay and how often it was handy but now that there is Venmo, who needs QuickPay?)
I don't have the time or patience to state all that happened but Chase wrongfully charged me and ultimately stole from me - I called and complained but "highest speaking supervisor" Chris ** didn't have an answer to give me. I told him he will be losing a Chase customer and I'm closing my account... Which didn't seem to faze him whatsoever. I don't expect anything to come from this review other than warning others who are debating what bank to go with. Figured I would be ok due to overdraft protection they said I had. They sent the check back. Charged me 34 dollars granted I had a majority of in the bank. Went ahead and made my car payment which was now 39.00 short because they charge me a fee. Two days later paid the remainder of the car payment which that was 5 dollars short in the beginning now 39 because of them and it went through no problem with 34 dollar overdraft fee. I turned off overdraft protection because it's not protection which is supposed to turn away any check with no fee if there's no money in the account. These idiots put the same check I wrote in the beginning through with no issues and 34 dollar fee I turned the protection off.

There are very few options available for teens to practice responsible saving and spending money. We opened a Chase teen checking/debit card tied to our account in 2015 for my son when he turned 13. On June 9, 2017 he had approximately $1400 in his account, and tried to deposit a check that was more than 6 months old for an additional $1000 (finally cleaned the room, found the check from November, what was he thinking? This is an example of learning) and left for camp across the country two days later. It was the first time he was flying alone. While he was at camp, Chase decided there was potential fraud in his account due to the attempted deposit and canceled his debit card.
My son was left at the airport with no way to access money (yes, at the camp store he spent the $60 "just in case" cash I stuffed in his hand as he left) and no food. No, he didn't starve. Yes, this is a first world problem. The issue I have with Chase is that it is now July 28, 2017 - almost 2 months later - and they still haven't sent him the $1400 that was in his original account that they closed on June 12, 2017. This is akin to a free loan to Chase from a 15-year old boy. When I called today, I was on the phone for an hour, sent to 3 different people, and eventually told that they were investigating the account for fraud. Still? And what about the statement we received in the mail 10 days ago showing they debited his account and it now remains at $0.00?
So where is his money? I was told they would "request a check" and I could call back in 2-3 business days. I was told that the request was emailed to the "back office" but that the back office does not have a telephone number. Apparently no one can call the back office. Not even Chase employees. I asked if I should go to my local branch, but was told that they would "just call us." Further, to complain directly to Chase, one must login (which requires setting up an account -- I don't want an online account... I want to write a letter to customer service), call (like I'm going to do that again), or tweet in 140 characters or less. Chase employees do not have any power to actually help customers.
The most they can do is repeat what they read on their computer screens, which makes them sound unknowledgeable (when I used the word "stupid" to complain about person number 2 to person number 3 I was told "we don't entertain that kind of language" - perhaps if you accomplished something useful you wouldn't be perceived as unintelligent and useless... is that better?). I'm not sure when my son's check will arrive. Meanwhile, I found a lovely bank that opened a savings account for him, and will get him a Greenlight card so he can learn to save and spend wisely in our electronic age. Chase will no longer have any of our business. I wish it would make a bigger difference to them, but I fear they don't really care about our small (to them) accounts.

The ATM machines by my home in Riverview, FL NEVER work properly. Both the drive thru and lobby machine almost never can accept deposits. I have to go purchase a money order and deposit thru Chase Mobile. This comes with a 2 business day wait for the funds to be available. The fraud departments continuously declines my purchases at the worst possible times. Last week I made 2 separate purchases at the same restaurant and the second transaction was declined. I had the funds. Does Chase realize how embarrassing this is? I see why they have to pay people to open a new account.

Talked to my Chase representative, all I was told that I have to pay off by the date that my promotion is off. Hence, I talked to "my Chase representative" again to ask what exactly interest amount I would have to pay Chase. Well, I received an answer exactly like what I see on my statement. This issue has been since March 2017. We use our Chase Credit card for everything. Issues like this really makes an unhappy customer. And with all the other choices I can go to, your lack of response makes me want to choose another bank to give my business too. I applied for a credit card previously and was rejected due to insufficient credit history. Unfortunate, but understandable. I fixed the issue, and now have a long credit history and an excellent credit score; surely I should qualify, right? Wrong. Upon this second rejection I immediately called up their reconsideration line and was greeted by a customer service rep called Jeremiah who spoke very quickly and with a haughty tone. After he repeated himself several times I finally was able to make out "too few revolving credit lines to establish a credit history". I didn't know what this meant, so I asked "so, basically insufficient credit history still?" His response was a very miffed sounding, "well you're welcome to your opinion".
I reworded the question several times and could hear his already thin patience dwindling to nothing, so I finally just flat out said, "I don't know what that means". After he grudgingly explained it as quickly and with as little detail as possible, I asked him if there was anything I could do to resolve the issue. He just said snippily "that's up to you". Context: My entire family uses Chase Bank and I have been their customer for years. This is how they treat long standing customers?

She sat down in the waiting area hoping somebody would help her but in the end nobody helped her and she was told to leave. I went back with her a few hours later and was told the same thing... that it would be much easier to use the ATM to withdraw. The teller was not helpful at all. I repeatedly told her my grandma wants to withdraw from the teller but she wouldn't hear it and kept telling me to use the ATM. ISN'T IT A TELLER'S JOB TO HELP CUSTOMERS WITHDRAW AND DEPOSIT MONEY?

Chase is one of the most money hungry and greediest banks out there. They never put their customers first. I had an issue last night with depositing money into my account. It wouldn't accept the last two bills I had to make my account current before the cut off time (11PM). I ended up having to drive to another Chase location where it did accept the money I had. Despite seeing this issue, supervisors felt I still wasn't entitled to a fee reversal.
I had the money in my hands and the machine wouldn't accept the bills. How is that my fault? Why am I paying for the consequence? Chase doesn't see how immoral their actions are by putting their customers through this. At this point, I'm looking into other banks that are more dedicated to their customers. I have been with Chase for 10 years already and they still continue to TAKE AND TAKE from their customers. STAY AWAY FROM CHASE.

Ok. So here goes. My experience with Chase Bank! These people are terrible and their customer service is AWFUL! I opened an account online because I work 7 am to 6 pm Monday thru Friday and 5 to 2 pm Saturday. I just relocated back home and have been somewhat estranged and trying to get back on my feet. After not having an account for three years due to identity theft, I received a voucher for 200 dollars back on a checking account. My bf said good things about Chase, and it would be super convenient for me to have an account with them. Well the coupon code doesn't work online. Ok no big deal. Open the account anyway. (One of the high end, paid for monthly checking accounts btw. Not the freebie! JS. These oafs were going to be making money off me on the platinum account).
So here are the results: drop 500 dollars into the account. A week later, on a Sunday (mail was delivered to the WRONG box) I get a letter that states my account is being closed. I just opened it! The letter is short and rude with no explanation as to why and, more or less stating that I had no access to my deposit and that I should call customer service. Well... what is this? I call customer service (Sunday night. Bank's not open but their customer service is? That speaks levels.) So anyway the call center rep tells me that I need to go to a branch and show them ID and it will be resolved. OK... No big deal. Monday is tomorrow.
I miss lunch on a 12 hour day to leave a half hour early to go to a branch (5:35 I arrived). A teller tells me to sit in the lobby and wait for someone to come. The banker is having a conversation with a coworker and rudely ignores me for 15 minutes while I sit there right before closing. (I know it's closing... But I had a half hour before the bank closed.) So I finally go back about 5:50 and explain that he needs copies of my ID. I also provided him with proof of address.
He makes a call to customer service who then tells me over the phone that the matter cannot be resolved and I have to allow the account to lapse then reopen an account at a branch? (Really?) Ok... No big deal. So customer service hangs up (5:55pm btw) and I explain to the banker that I have to reopen an account. He tells me that takes an hour and that he doesn't have time. I tell him I went thru a fiasco to get off work to come in and I work six days a week. There is no other time and I would appreciate it if we can resolve this now. He explains he cannot and that I will have to come back. I ask how am I going to get my money. He says the check is in the mail. I respond with "Funny... close out someone's account and then mail them a check. You people better cash it for FREE." He then explains that it's now past closing and he can no longer help me. (Really?)
So I leave the bank without being helped, a closed account, and pretty much no access to half a grand I had saved up. Not to mention the lack of warning before they just closed my brand new bank account. No email, no follow up communication stating they needed me to come in. NOTHING. Horrible horrible experience. I will never go back. And oddly enough my bf closed his account at the same branch on Tuesday due to the way they treated me.

My mother had 5 checks she made out for her bills out of her mailbox. One of the checks was changed from One Main to Amy Main and a joint name added to the payee line. Once she realized this she immediately went to her local branch who told her the check was cashed 3 hours away. They told her they would notify the fraud department. She went to the branch 5 days straight and was told they were working on it. They did close that account and issue a stop payment on the other 4 checks; however, after about a month, she called because she had never heard anything about her $287.00 that was cashed out. They told her she did not send in the forms requesting this so she and my husband went back to the local branch. The lady then filled out all the paperwork, had my mother sign it, she then notarized it for her and faxed it to the department.
To make a long story short, it has been almost a year now and Chase sent her a letter stating they would not be refunding her money because she did not complete the paperwork. She also found out the check was cashed at another Chase Branch in the area. She called them and the rep said "Oh, I do see where the paperwork was received." Back to square one, still no refund, still no satisfaction. She has sinced filed a police report from a suggestion from another bank and in the process of changing banks. $287.00... NOT $2,087 or even $20,000. She is a retired lady, living day to day and you can tell the check was changed if you look at it closely and then to add a joint payee with no questions asked when cashing it.
Shame on Chase! It is a sad day when they cannot take care of their customer. Almost a year and still no resolution. My bank would have refunded immediately and then investigated it. Maybe not, my son worked at US Bank and said that would have been a drop in the bucket for them, and they would have just turned it in to their insurance or took the loss.

They advised to pay the taxes (no matter what I had to do it) and they will reissue another check. The account is closed (my ex and I account) and had my previous last name. They said it will take 30 days. I make sure to tell them about the name change and they said is no problem.
Called back in May because I felt weird to stress them every month. On May 2nd they said they forgot to put the request for another check. At this time I stress about the name change. I was told the name changing present no issue. Again I asked how can they issue a check to somebody that is not in their database? Because with a new name is like a stranger and it might require a legal document. I was told that is not a problem.
I called back on May 15. At this time I was told or better said suggested that is my fault because my name is wrong on the account. And they the check issue department inform them to contact me but I had no valid phone number. (But somehow they manage to send my bill on time and a letter within 4 days that the name on the account cannot be change because is closed.) Chase had my email.
Sent a fax with proper documentation and called 2 days later. They informed they received it and they will put the request. Called back in June 6 and again something happens with the request. Called again on June 14 and this time they said the request was in but nothing happened. Could be that only one person works in the reimbursement department and if I don't see anything in 30 to 45 days to call back.
I gave permission to have my husband talk to the supervisor. When he got on the phone his first words were: "Do I have permission to talk to the other guy?" He tried to intimidate me with a superior tone, underlining the problem and somehow getting Chase under the water and putting me under. He did not get to talk to my husband. I wanted to understand what is going on because it all seem intentional due to the amount that they need to return. Lured by the promise of Chase Bank's $200 bonus for opening a checking account, I decided to open a Chase account and leave my old bank, who had also greatly disappointed me recently. I stopped in at a local Chase location and spoke with an account manager. This is a difficult month for me - I have rent due - but I scraped up a couple hundred dollars and figured we could get this done and it would work out well in the long run. The account manager took my information and told me that I had an outstanding balance of $100.27. Said it was a charge-off from an old account, one I'd had with my roommate a couple years ago. I didn't realize that she had left a balance, but I figured it was still worth it and ponied up the hundred bucks to close out the books on that account and start fresh.
The manager took my money and only THEN told me that - not only would I be ineligible for their $200 bonus dues to the old charge-off account - but that they would not be able to open ANY account for me due to some supposed negative information that a third-party firm had reported against me. So, not only was I not able to open an account - I was NOW short ANOTHER $100 that they took to balance out the old account. They could have told me that FIRST but no! They wanted to make damn sure they got their money. If you're considering opening an account at Chase - think first. If they tell you that they need to collect some old account first, DON'T PAY IT! Just walk out and go somewhere else.

One time I went into the bank and was speaking to a personal banker at her desk. Another man that worked there came in and told me to LEAVE!!! I was shocked and asked him why. I asked the personal banker that I was doing business why he told me this several times and she couldn't tell me. I left feeling so confused and humiliated.
It turns out he thought I was another person that he had a bad encounter with and cancelled their account. He never asked me my name or ask the banker that was helping me who I was even though she had all my information on the screen. I called and ask that a supervisor call me but no one called. So, I called back the following week. The supervisor told that man that kicked me out to call me back. That man left a voice mail saying it was just a case of mistaken identity. He thought I was someone else like it was no big deal.
Funny thing is that, according to the supervisor, he wasn't even suppose to be working in that area of the bank. There were so many other professional ways he could have handled the situation. He could have used discretion and called the other personal banker I was sitting and talking with and asked my name or even asked me, but instead he just started yelling and embarrassed the hell out of me. I called the branch back and asked to speak with the teller and they informed me that she had gone home for the day & having brought the cash in labeled disposable envelopes which she had disposed of for me, I thought that maybe there was a chance that she threw the envelope away with the cash inside of it; the teller was able to recover the envelope with the written cash amount (the amount that was missing) with no cash in it. This was in the middle of the week, and the banker told me that she would have the bank manager call me back.
Additionally, I overdrafted sometime after 10PM (I say after 10PM because that is when I last used my card and I had checked prior to using it to make sure I had sufficient funds) BECAUSE of the lack of funds and was made aware when I checked my email early this morning. I went to the bank and deposited the amount to ensure that the amount would not charge the overdraft fee only to be told that the overdraft fee would not be waived because it was past the "cut off time" which is 8PM Pacific time. So I literally would have to go back in time to have any possibility of correcting that. To top it off, I was charged not 1 but 3 overdraft fees totaling $104.00 and was told I had until 8 PM that same day to pay it off in order to avoid an ADDITIONAL 104$ fee PER DAY.
Left with no choice, I paid the amount that would have been in there had Chase not STOLEN my other 350$ that they have neglected to look into. I have been severely inconvenienced by Chase and will close ALL of my accounts with them as soon as I get MY $450 back. STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY from Chase. They will simply misplace your money and charge you ridiculous amounts under ridiculous policies.

In February, my landlord contacted me when they had not received the rent check. I immediately contacted CHASE to let them know that the check was stolen and deposited. The representative emailed an affidavit which my landlord and I notarized at a local ATM branch. I was initially told the investigation could take 90-120 days, but then told that because it was a Chase to Chase transaction, it would take 30 days. We are now in May. I have called numerous times and have been escalated to none other than the Escalation Department. Every time they tell me they will send an email to someone and to call back 3-5 business days later. Of course, I call back only to explain the situation again and be transferred to the same Escalation Department that has no updates and can only tell me that it is in process.
This is the worst experience I have ever had with a bank (customer service and fraud departments). We have had to continuously monitor our account and transfer money from our CHASE savings to avoid missing payments and getting fees. My husband has even received overdrafts in the other CHASE account we have that is linked to auto-pay our CHASE car loans. Of course, Chase says there is nothing they can do. We pretty much just have to sit and wait.

I came to Chase located on Grand Ave in Chino, CA with a coupon of $500 bonus, $300 for new checking & $200 for savings. A banker, Brandon helped me set up both accounts. The whole time that he'd opening the account, he did NOT mention anything about direct deposit. He said that I just have to maintain the required balance and after 90 days the bonus will credit in accounts. So I waited, after 90 days I only received bonus on savings, NOT CHECKING.
I came back, he then said I need direct deposit, so I set up DD and waited 2 weeks like he said. But because he DID NOT inform me at the beginning, and I have waited 90 days on the bonus, therefore the coupon expired. They cannot manually submit it again. He said it was misunderstanding, which I DID NOT agreed because I double checked with him over and over on the qualifications. I missed that $300 due to his mistakes. His excuse was that he'd had this happen before so he's now always letting customers know. I guess he is still NOT doing ENOUGH in his job to provide the correct INFO and doing the right things for the customers. Who would trust a private client, a fancy title but not so dedicated to customer, when he CANNOT do his job right at the beginning.

I decided to open a banking account again after a year because I had such a bad experience with another bank. I thought I would give Chase a try because of all the great things I was hearing about them. I have only had my account for a month maybe less & the fraud prevention team placed a restriction on my account. They froze all of my funds & will not release them back to me. The customer service of Chase Bank employees is non-existent. From the banker to the representatives on the phone none of them are helpful in resolving any of my issues. It has been over a week since they froze my account and are telling me that they closed my account & will send a cashier's check to me by mail in 7 to 10 more business days. This is by far the worst bank & banking experience I have ever have. When considering banks please stay away from Chase.

I received a postcard (several, actually) to get $200 by opening a business account at Chase. I have a personal account there and they don't do anything, positive or negative, so I figured it was as good a spot as any to open my business account. I went into the Carmel Valley branch in CA and found it was surprisingly busy at any given time. Never anyone standing in line, but always people waiting for personal bankers. My banker helped me open my business account and when I inquired about the $200, said it wouldn't be an issue. I said for the initial deposit of new money, I would withdraw from an external account that I had linked to my personal account and then transfer those funds into my business account. A robot would see this as 'NOT' new money, but he assured me that if that happened, he would take care of it.
The robot did not see this as new money and I did not get the $200 bonus. I called and my guy said it was denied and reiterated the reason that I just told him. I told him that the $200 was new money and though it came from a Chase account, had just arrived at Chase a few hours prior, specifically for the transfer. He said he would look into it and get back to me. I guess he got bad news, because he didn't call back and he hasn't returned my calls since. I not only need this account for business, but I need a line of credit as well. $200 was a nice enough incentive, but it isn't life-changing money. Surely, it is peanuts for Chase. I closed my account and will probably be closing my personal account and 2 credit cards as well. Two stars for how easy they are when helping you close accounts! They have no interest in retaining you.

I forgot my wallet at home, and took a ride with my 16 years old to his game, after his game, we decided to go to Dick's Sporting to pick up some of his football gears and didn't think of any thing as I can transfer the fund into his card and we should have no problem, but that was wrong. Well money was transferred and our purchase was around $580.00, card kept declining, unreal, then we just bought $200 purchase and that went through. Mean time I called the customer service why this card is keep declining. I kid you not, the time me and my son were on the phone for 25 min.
They started asking him some security questions, he entered his CC, expiration and three digit pin, what ever it was when he was inputting, he made an error and pressed #. they fully blocked that card now. We tried to ask them, please help, to get this transaction done! They told us to email his credit card, his driver license and another state ID or social security card or utility bill, we are in check out line. This kid is only 16 and he carry his DL with him only. (Since when the Chase started asking for 2 set of ID's and why our state DL is not valid for identity especially when we are stuck in the situation like this.)
So they were not going to let us go without sending them not two but three things, or they suggested we should go to the nearest branch (Really on Sunday, I felt we were dealing with out of country customer service) and show the identity. We end up leaving the purchase and drove 15 miles to come home and had to drove back to pick up the rest of the stuff) after spending almost 25 min telling them it is us, and please let it go through our purchase. They have stupid, nonsense, unconsidered people working on the weekend for them, don't even know if they understood the situation. Store was going to close at 6 and my son needed the things for his football practice.
They need common sense people working in the customer service especially when the branches in USA are closed on Sunday. Also in their right mind, if we were doing anything wrong, would we even call customer service. Customer service should solve the problems, but they went extra mile to block my son's card fully, this was the only card we had with us and we were coming from a game, now we cannot even purchase food with that card. 30 years with CHASE BANK, good bye, I will take my business somewhere else.

They also have started the practice of charging you fees after the bill is paid. After paying a bill I considered paid in full, I am charged 0.73 cents. I would pay a balance of $73.00, but not 0.73 cents. I asked to have the account closed. I was told I would not get "rewards". Spending thousands of dollars to get a few "rewards". Very predatory. Two months ago, about $400 was stolen from my checking account from an ATM. I reported the fraud minutes later. I found out later that day that two men were arrested for card copying/withdrawing money in the same bank, same town where my money was taken. I submitted the news story and requested Chase contact the bank where the fraud occurred. They said there was a 'note' to do so.
I found out later Chase never contacted the bank, and the employee on the phone said there was a note, but since it wasn't part of their normal investigation process, they didn't actually follow up with it. They denied my claim twice without even contacting the bank where the fraud occurred, pulling footage, nothing. I'm now in touch with the police who were involved in that arrest and filed a complaint against Chase with the attorney general for their incompetence. I would recommend never banking with Chase. Waited in line last Friday to make one $10,000 deposit into my business account. Unfortunately I dealt with a very uninterested, and apathetic teller named "Sarah". Although she could not seem to find my account, she had absolutely no interest in helping me. But to be fair, she excelled at sighing, rolling her eyes, and communicating her irritation with a condescending attitude. Bored by her behavior, I asked her to give me my check back and went to another teller who was quick, friendly and efficient. I then asked to speak with the branch manager. Was informed that Jeff ** out until Monday.
Never heard anything from Mr. ** on Monday or Tuesday, so I called him on Wednesday. He then returned my call on Thursday, never asked about the lack of service the previous week, and then informed me that Sarah is one of their best tellers. It is amazing to me that the branch manager was only interested in defending his sub-standard employees! So since Chase Bank is not interested in providing good client service, and there are 4 banks within a 2 block radius of my office, I am going to move my money into the one who value my business. Additionally, Chase has chosen to place an advertisement for a cab company in the middle of my statement. All I want is to go back to the original site. However, I was told that Chase spent a lot of money on this new design, and that they will not allow customers to use the original one any longer - no matter how inconvenienced they might be. On Saturday April 8, 2017 I went to Chase Bank ATM Machine to withdraw cash because we were in the process of moving our home that day to a new location and I needed a little bit more money to pay the man and his company for moving my house. Well lo and behold I tried a withdrawal for $300 and it denied the transaction yet took the $300 plus a $3.00 fee for using the ATM so they took $303.00 out my account but the machine DID NOT dispense my cash. So not thinking about anything wrong I initially thought it was just an error so I tried again for $200 and the same exact thing happened. They took $203.00 out my account but DID NOT DISPENSE MY CASH AGAIN.
So I went inside and they said I needed to call the number on the receipt. Well I did that just as told and they told me there was nothing they could do over the phone, to go back inside and talk to the banker. So I did that and I called my bank and my bank told me they needed to issue me a return to my card so then I went back inside and told them what my bank said and was informed that they don't do it like that. That I'd have to call my bank and claim a dispute against Chase Bank all of which could take anywhere from 10-90 days before I could get my $506.00 that CHASE BANK ILLEGALLY TOOK OUT MY ACCOUNT AND WILL NOT RETURN TO ME!!! Now I have a husband and 3 children and for the past week we've been living without electricity and running water because the money Chase Bank stole out my account was to pay for that. And not to mention it didn't just happen to me that day.
While I was in the bank there were at least 6-8 more people that they/ their ATM had done this to. Now this is totally unfair as to I didn't do anything wrong whatsoever but they think they have the right to take people's money and return it when convenient for them. We struggle on a daily basis to make ends meet and to have this bank who claims to put their customers first just hold your money and not return it. I even told them to go review their cameras and see that the machine DID NOT DISPENSE THE CASH and the lady told me, "Oh we believe you." Well if so then give me my $506.00 back so I can get electricity and running water for my kids and me and my husband. This is just utterly ridiculous and very unfair and I will be contacting a lawyer right after Easter so I can recoup my money.
DO NOT AND I repeat DO NOT USE CHASE BANK OR THEIR ATM MACHINE 'cause they will take your money from your account and you will have to wait for your money to be returned!!! It's a shame that my local grocery store was able to better service me than Chase Bank could and I did not get ripped off by the grocery store like Chase Bank did by illegally taking $506.00 from us!!! If anyone else has had this happen to them in the last couple weeks or so I would love to hear your story and how they handled your situation. Chase Bank are liars and thieves in my eyes. I've never experienced anything like this with any other banking facility ever in my life nor have I heard of any such thing before.

Since I didn't know about the automatic payment, I always set my monthly check on time. 3 or 4 times in 2016 they cashed the check and triggered the automatic payment in the same day. I ended up paying my loan twice. (The extra money were deducted from the remaining capital I need to pay.) When I asked to refund me about 10K Chase initially said yes and then they refused. 10K are a big deal to me and my family so I filed a complaint to the Attorney General and Better Business Bureau. Chase has score F at bbb.org -- now I know why. I'm in the process of refinancing my loan since I don't want to deal with Chase anymore.

I received a lump-sum of money. I had received CHASE's BONUS OFFERS frequently in my mail. I believed this was a good time to use my BONUS COUPON and went to the CHASE Bank in Culver City -- Jefferson/Slauson Branch and interviewed and was helped by Banker Angel. Among other things I was told that my Social Security Direct Deposit would begin at CHASE automatically in 4-8 weeks because Angel submitted the necessary paperwork. This was March 8, 2017.
Consequently, on my Social Security due date of April 13, 2017 the Social Security Direct Deposit was deposited into my previous Account. Upon approaching and visiting CHASE for hours in conference with Banker Raul where Angel was not available, I was told nothing could be done about my BONUS because my deadline is May 7, 2017 and my Social Security Direct Deposit would not hit CHASE until May 13, 2017.
I cannot believe CHASE wants to actually refuse my BONUS of $300 because CHASE's Banker Angel made the error of not submitting my Request for Transfer of Direct Deposit funds as he promised. I have several accounts with CHASE, including mortgage and credit card. That does not seem to matter with CHASE. CHASE just don't want to honor my BONUS COUPON. What is happening with CHASE? I believe chase has gotten too big, too fast and Public Relations is not one of their goals.

The teller who assisted me by the name of ** told me she wouldn't be able to give me my money because it hadn't cleared but that I can withdraw 3,000 from the a.t.m or $2,700 over the window. I asked her why and she told me that there were a series of quick pays that hadn't cleared but the 2,700 I had in the account previous could be withdrawn or $3,000 at the a.t.m. I withdrew the 3,000 from the a.t.m. and left, a minute later the fraud department calls asking me if I made the withdrawal and an earlier purchase, I tell her yes. I then ask how much money is in my account to withdraw? She states 2,700, we hang up and I go to the branch on ave. L and Rockaway Parkway where I ask the teller how much am I able to withdraw? He states everything all 3,900.
I then head over to the Brownsville branch and speak to the initial teller who laughs and asks me if I need the manager, I told her to get the manager. The manager ** comes out asking me for my i.d. I hand it to her and she starts walking away so I ask her to let me know what's going on and where she is taking my i.d. She says I have to make some calls and they need your i.d. As I wait she comes out and says the fraud department says I'm not able to override the hold because the money isn't available. I said “ok let me speak to the fraud department,” she goes, "They don't speak to anyone” and walks away.
One minute later she comes out and says that the fraud department would like to speak to me, I get on the phone with them and they said that the funds aren't available, I ask the representative whose name is **. “Why am I able to withdraw some of the money from the quick pay if it's not available but not all?” I also stated I spoke to another teller who told me the funds were available, he tells me to hang on one second while he speaks to a manager. When he comes back to the line he asks to speak to Ms. **. I overhear Ms. ** telling him she doesn't feel comfortable giving me the money (MY MONEY). She comes back to me and says, “He told me I can give you the money if I know you, but I DON'T KNOW YOU, so I'm not going to give you the money.” I leave the branch and head to the branch in Canarsie on Ave. L and Rockaway Parkway where I was given the remaining balance of 3,600 with no issues.
The discrimination I experienced at the Brownsville branch is disgusting! Because I am a young ** woman in a low income community they assumed I was trying to scam them or get over on them. I am an ex Chase employee and I know how they operate. Not only did the teller alert the fraud department but the manager as well as the teller refused to let me withdraw my money. I have been a chase account holder for more than 10 years and never been involved in any type of fraudulent scheme. This issue needs to be addressed in its entirety. Discrimination in No way shape or form should be practiced by a business considered to be a staple in the community. I was inconvenienced by having to drive to a total different zip code to withdraw monies that were coming from a legit source when the Brownsville branch is 3 blocks from my home.

This was a simple mistake because of a poor web page setup by Chase... You can be sure if they made the mistake in data entry and gave me extra money they would take it back.
It seems to me Chase is intentionally setting up confusing web pages with the hope that consumers pay them more and then they create policies that will not allow for adjustments when consumers realize they have been taken advantage of by Chase. I had my mortgage with Chase for 6 years. I needed to modify my loan due to an over 200.00 a month increase. After being approved for the modification and told they would tack on the difference to the end of my loan, they sold my mortgage to Carrington "Mortgage". Carrington is not a mortgage company, they are a debt collector. When I started my modification process the woman helping me through the mountain of paperwork told me that if I was not behind on my payments they would not modify my loan. She advised me to skip a payment, so I did. Then 3 months later she advised me to skip another payment. So I did and I was approved.
My payments were lowered from 850.00 to 670.00. Everything went along fine for 6 months then they sold me to a debt collector who forced me to pay all of the money back (over 2k) or they were going to foreclose. The only reason we kept the acct. in CA is because my husband's VA disability check is directly deposited in there. If we had to move it to NJ, we have already been told it could take a year. Of course the day I went open an account they were so nice. I told the lady I really didn't want overdraft because of the fees and she said if I put money in savings they would take from it for NSF. So based on that SPECIFICALLY I put money in savings. Sure enough my rent payment met with NSF in my checking and I ended up with fees from the apartment complex because of it - way more than overdraft protection. Call the bank and get sent to someone with an accent that you can't understand. Call back and the people at the bank do NOT CARE about what happened! So much for customer service!! So I had money in the bank and they cost me $200 not doing what I was told would be done and I am not supposed to be upset or CARE! They didn't care and were rude!
Then to top it off the manager that said this to me that talks to many people every day - day after day - is going to say "she wouldn't have said that!" Really? Because I remember one conversation - not many a day for days, weeks and months and I specifically remember it was THE REASON I PUT THE MONEY IN SAVINGS! Once they get you in the door they are RUDE! They do not care if your experience with them costs you money or does anything to upset you or frustrate you! She just flat out refused to do anything and even claimed to be closed at minutes before 6 because I said I was pulling in parking lot! UNBELIEVABLE!
Come to find out after multiple phone calls that YOU NEED OVERDRAFT PROTECTION for them to take YOUR MONEY from YOUR SAVINGS to cover NSF! Well, how the hell am I supposed to know this?! I went by what she told me and she KNEW what I was telling her. She knew what I wanted and she was the one that suggested putting it in savings. IF IT NEEDED ODP to take it why didn't she say something?! So now Chase does NOT HAVE TO CARE OR BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS! I am just SOL and out the fees to the apartment but I HAD THE MONEY IN THEIR BANK! THE BANK THAT MISINFORMED ME AND REFUSED THE FUNDS! Every time I deal with a bank it costs me! Back to credit unions! Never again!
Huntington ended up with a class action lawsuit for what they did to me years ago. They would shift transactions around so they could put them in "tiers" and with ODP if you send a car payment and it's a few dollars shy to cover - they will put that car payment in front of all your small transactions to rearrange them and charge you overdraft fees on all of them rather than the one car payment... the large one. That was a nightmare to close my account and be done with them. And just like this you have NO RECOURSE because this is "their rules" which they know but we don't! Until you are HIT... after pushing papers in front of you and saying you are signing this or that they have the nerve to tell you to go READ all the crap they gave you! I will tell you what... forget it. Dirty business. Not reading!
Better yet - not BANKING with you - going back to a credit union! They aren't trying to steal your money for every fee they can think of! And they are much nicer people! Banks haven't changed! So after a clear conversation with this lady about NSF and putting money in my savings just for that... she is going to say she "wouldn't screw up". Well she did and it cost me and they don't care! That was the only reason I put the money in my savings! I suffer with pain and have trouble staying on top of things and told her that. There was a reason for the savings! I would know it better than her! Why I did it!
So I had to go to a supervisor's supervisor because they don't care. They will say "I am sorry about your experience" but NOT make it right. NOT acknowledge that a person had money in savings and something went very wrong here and choose to overlook it because of their rules that she failed on and assume the customer IS WRONG and the manager would KNOW she did not do this to a person out of all the people she dealt with. She just wouldn't! But I would be lying instead! WITH my money in that account! Proving that something isn't right! No! I am a liar! Ya... I just put a thousand in there and chose to have my rent BOUNCE! Ya! Sure!
To be honest she was NOTHING like she was the first day I went in there and a complete heartless uncaring witch and even tried to talk in a way to upset me MORE! FAIL AT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I wish I didn't trust a bank again! They do NOT care that it is their employee's responsibility to KNOW what is needed or not needed and just fine with the failure falling on the customer as they tell me it was supposed to have overdraft protection! Well, then she should have made that clear! Why would I put money in savings to cover NSF and NOT SET UP WHAT IT NEEDED FOR THEM TO TAKE IT! Treat me like I am a liar!

We have been using Chase bank for several years and have four accounts with them. On Tuesday, 3-28-17 I logged into my accounts and saw that the original account was overdrawn $3900. My wife had been scammed and had deposited a check for that amount from a company then drawn it back out the next day. The overdraft was from that fraudulent check. We went to the bank and explained what happened and told them I would get a check from my 401K and pay it back.
I got the check for over $26,000 on Thursday and went to the bank. We were told that three of our accounts, including my son's account were on hold by Chase's fraud department and we couldn't access them for any reason. We were told that was for our security which was a lie, it was so Chase could recover any money from them if necessary to repay the overdraft although the amount in those accounts wouldn't come close to paying it. We were told that our accounts would be frozen for 5 work days regardless of the fact that we promptly came in and gave them the $26,000 check from my investment company to make up the overdraft.
I should have just gone to a new bank and opened a new account with the check. They would have approved it within one day and I could have drawn out the $3900 to give to chase, but I was trying to do the right thing. That was a big mistake since Chase doesn't care if you do the right thing and now the entire $26,000 is tied up.
From the very start, we have been treated as if we had intentionally tried to scam the bank when we were the ones that were scammed and promptly attempted to make it right. My direct deposit paycheck was not accepted for deposit and none of the auto pay withdrawals I have set up from creditors have been allowed to go through. I'm sure Chase isn't going to offer to pay for the late payment fees I'm going to have. I have had to withdraw enough cash from the one account they didn't freeze to buy food and necessities. I went back again this morning to try to get these accounts taken off of hold with no success. I will never recommend Chase to anyone.

Chase will just Close your account without any reason or notice. Happened to me TODAY. Received a Quick pay for 200, yesterday afternoon, paid out 175 in expenses, woke up the next morning and overnight Chase reversed my quick pay, forcing my account negative, and then told me that I committed fraud. I spent my entire lunch hour on the phone with them. They refused to give me a reason for closing my account and screwing up my finances. The MOST insulting part of this was, I went into my local bank branch in NORTH EVANSTON after work and the banker LIED and told me that the person who send me the quick pay didn't have the money available. I KNOW THAT IS A LIE. It's not even POSSIBLE to issue a quick pay to anyone without the cash being in your account.
I have 3 direct deposits set to this account. What a huge pain in the ass. Still don't know if they actually PAID the bills they had money for. HORRIBLE customer service and EVERY SINGLE STEP. I used to suggest Chase to my International Rental Customers or my Real Estate Purchase clients... NEVER again!! HORRIBLE COMPANY. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! They DO NOT tell the truth!! Money was fraudulently withdrawn from my Chase Account. I reported it, closed the account and opened a new one, with new passwords etc. Was told there was now a Fraud Alert on my Account. Called the credit reporting agencies to freeze all my other accounts, etc. Chase set up new "verbal passwords" on my account and told me no activity would be permitted unless I was called and asked for the verbal password, as extra security.
Nonetheless, 24 hours later someone walked in a Chase branch with no debit card and a false ID and was GIVEN my new account number, and another $1000.00. Chase never called me, no one asked for my magical new password - I found out 3 days later when the transaction "posted". Naturally I closed that account too and opened up a third one. Chase refuses to make me whole for this, saying they have "proof" that the withdrawal was legitimate (meaning I stole my own money). They will not share this "proof" with me. I am done. I am emptying my account today and not looking back. No more Chase bank. Your money is not safe there!

That check even wasn't on my last name and was cashed from my account. Same day personal banker was very helpful. My account was closed and opened another. That was 12-02-16. Today is March 20, 2017. I went to my own bank to withdrawal cash so that I wouldn't have any issues with a check hold on his account and the money not being available to him immediately. Upon making it to the teller window at Chase Bank on Briarcliff Rd in Tucker, GA, I was told that since I wasn't a CHASE bank customer, I couldn't deposit cash into the account! Now, not only has this taken three (3) days to clear from my account as a debit purchase (lol), they also charged me a $3 fee!!!
VERY disappointed that I wasn't even told about the fee. It's not like I was using an ATM to be charged a fee. I was FORCED to use my debit card to make the deposit into my friend's account, and then I had to go back to my bank to deposit the cash that I took out in order to cover the transaction because I didn't want my account to be too low. Banked with Chase for many years. Recently had an account closed due to bad check through online transaction. They informed me I would have to come in and open a new account, so following their suggestion I did. So the next day opened a new account with new cards etc, then when I checked online banking for my SS check deposit a few days later could not access. Called the phone number listed. They informed me this account was also closed. In the meantime the SS check was deposited. I checked with SSA, so I checked with bank again where is my money, they said accounts are closed and no check no money. When I supplied them with the trace information from the Feds they all of a sudden found it. Oh yeah then told me check is in the mail, so I asked when it was mailed. They said 7 of March. Now keep in mind my check had been deposited at exactly 11:59 the 2 of march.
Several days past I received a letter informing me the account was closed. Called them again. They acted like nothing was amiss, and there were no funds. When I once again went through all the tracer information, they found it, but informed me it was not only sent from Ohio but that it was sent to an address that I've never had. So here I sit payments past due, no solution other than to go to branch office fill out another form, and that they're will issue another check. It's already the 14th of March. If I had bounced a check they'd be all over it. Will they pay my late fees? I think not. The worst banking experience of my life. Don't use Chase Bank for anything... Let you know if this ever gets resolved, signed miss the good old days of honesty and truth, so sad that it is a world of deceit!!!

I bank with Chase, my employer also banks with Chase. Every pay period they manage to place a hold on my paycheck regardless of the fact that my check comes from their account and they are able to tell if funds are available (in which our company has never had a problem). I call almost every other week to ask to remove the hold and they promptly do and also advised that I will never receive an overdraft fee if they have placed a hold on my check as it is a result of them. Well this week they decide to reorder the way my transactions took place (I check my account every morning). The lower transaction was in place that morning and later in the afternoon I personally made another transaction that shouldn't have taken place until the following day but it didn't. I received a text a 10:38pm that night notifying me that my account was negative.
Reality is that was my fault, I'll take it, but what isn't is the following day the charges are reordered and I now have received a fee for the $12.87 charge (which was covered) and the $215 charge (I earned that fee). But what has really gotten me upset is that they also gave me a fee on the 10th for a charge when I deposited my paycheck (from a chase account) in which the placed a 24 hour hold on (which didn't bother me at the time cause I was told by a chase representative I would NEVER receive a fee for a hold placed by them).
This is now becoming excessive. I take care of a family of 5 and do my very best to balance my money that I actually earned, and here is some bank that comes in and can take it whenever they find ways to ever so easily cheat hard working people out of the money they ACTUALLY work for. For years now the Federal Agencies have come down on the unfair practices in the mortgage industry but I'm quite certain if maybe the FTC gave a real good look into the un-fudged records of the many banking customers they would find a plethora of unjustified fees we have been charged and we have no one here backing us up and making sure we get treated fair and just.
So in the matter of 48 hours Chase bank has taken $68 of $102 that is unjustified and they have found a way to manipulate the system to work in their behalf and there is no real way I can fight this. I have been with this institution since 2011 and have dealt with several fees and I will gladly swallow the ones I have earned. But I have a real big problem accepting the ones I did not. Sure I could move to another bank and close this account but the reality is all financial institutions practice the same slimy way so nothing is actually being solved.

This resulted in a $25 fee from Chase and a $24 fee from my credit union - and it was THEIR mistake (defaulting to the wrong account to pull from).
So far it's been more than 72 hours trying to get the fee refunded. On January 10, 2017, two additional charges showed up on my account to two different merchants located in California. Both of these charges were for right under $100 apiece. When I discovered these charges, I immediately called Chase and the charges were credited back to my account and I was provided a new debit card. Yesterday, on February 28, 2017, I received a message from Chase stating that their decision had been reversed, and the charges would be displayed on my account once again.
When I called Chase to determine what had happened I was told that the charges had been verified. I asked what the verification was and I was told that the merchant supplied my name, address, and email address. I tried to explain that yes they would have that information because I originally agreed to the $5.95 shipping charges. The agent that I spoke with was, in my opinion, extremely condescending and gave me the impression that they did not believe what I was telling them. They offered me no empathy. They did not apologize for the decision. And when I asked about a recourse, I was told to Google visa.

I don't know if I misunderstand something here, but it I just discovered that the Chase Credit Card Ink is charging me interest for purchases just recently, in the last few days conducted. Here's what happened: (My Ink card billing cycle is mid-month to mid-month) In early January I made a purchase for $1,616.57. In late January the statement came (Closing date 16th). I paid 800 dollars before the due date leaving a balance of $816.57 unpaid. In February as recent as February 15th, one day before the closing date I made some business purchases of around $6,500. I got the February statement and on it I see interest charge of $115.13. What? That can be I thought, $115.13 in interest charges for a residual balance of $816.57!? In the back of the statement on the last page it says under -31 days billing-. Balance subject to interest rate $4,520.14....
I called Chase Bank customer support and like them I recorded the conversation. Rather unfriendly and curt I was told by a supervisor that if every month the balance is not paid in full interest applies immediately to the current running balance including all new purchases. What? This is not an Amex card! It's a credit card! Yes, I understand that they charge interest on balances. But not on new purchases that I have not even received the statement for! Apparently they charge interest not only on what remained of the previous month as unpaid remainder balance but immediately charge interest on any new purchases!!! Zero grace period! I never heard of such a thing neither have I found on my other credit cards statement such a thing!
In other words, and as a fictitious example: If I charge in January $1000 and get in early February the January statement with the due date by end of February and pay $999 leaving $1 balance due and charge during February $5000, Chase Credit Card Ink will charge me interest not only for the $1.00 residual balance of January but will charge me for all purchases in February interest because I did not pay the January bill in full in February!
In other words, as in this above fictitious example, as I paid $999 for the $1000 January charge, I had $1.00 residual balance due. Chase credit card now charges me immediately interest on all new purchases done in February and adds this interest to February statement which will be due by end of March. Really? What do I have a credit card for? And I missing something here? Am I not understanding something here? I cannot find any such thing on any other credit card I have. IS THIS LEGAL?

Why they do that because they want to take $34.00 overdraft fee. Because they know you can't go in 60 seconds to the branch to deposit money to cover the overdrawn account. That's why they pick 11:59pm to post all the checks. It's like they do it on purpose to take your money because they know you can't do anything about it. And so that's what I did but instead of $25 dollars I deposited $100. So 2 days later I tried to check my balance on my online account and I was told that my access was suspended!
So I called Chase to find out what was going on with my account and those idiots couldn't even tell me why they are closing the account, and that it was just a decision that was made. Then to make matters worst I tried to withdraw the amount that I had left on my account and was told I can't, and that it has to be mailed to me via cashier's check 10 business day after that day. So I waited and it been way over 10 business day and still no check! I call Chase and was told the account was closed on February 1st and I have to wait another 10 business days to receive the check.

The criminals transferred $3K from savings to checking and withdrew all the funds from ATMs in New York. I live in Wisconsin. When I went on online to change cell phone numbers, I noticed the fraud at 9AM. I went immediately to the Wisconsin Chase Private Client banker to close the compromised accounts, surrender my debit card and open new accounts.
Chase gave me a temporary credit within 24 hours but took it back on Jan 24th and refused my claim! They said they validated the transactions and will not call me back. My debit card has never left my possession and I was not in New York where the fraud occurred. Since I notified the bank immediately I am not liable. My Financial Adviser and Private Banker have been working on a solution but I am amazed at the response from the Fraud Department. I will provide an update based on their response.

I had a very good impression about this company but after I experienced of trying to create a card from here. The worst experience ever. The customer service was horrible. Every time I try calling in they had attitude and seem like no one wanted to help. However, finally got to speak to the supervisor who was actually good that tried to help (if it wasn't for her I would not even wanted to give 1 star). Also, she was helpful to talk to different department. However, different department especially credit department was so rude. Therefore imagine if you had a card here and wanted support no one will be willing to help. SUPPORT IS HORRIBLE!!! Don't ever EVER be a client here!

Repeated calls from an overseas call center identifying itself as JP Morgan Chase regularly calls my home phone to report that I have an unpaid debt. Initially made attempts to reach the JP Morgan Chase Fraud Unit but no response despite bank online presence indicating it provides oversight to victims of identity fraud. These callers are particularly sophisticated in their fake pitch. What makes these calls an upsetting experience - no way to contact Chase to investigate if they are aware of '847-426-9203' as a fake phone call center. I have never had Chase account and never would based on inability to reach Chase fraud.

After being charged high interest rates not only purchases but balance transfer amounts, I paid my bill in full to avoid any further interest charges on the due date and Chase Bank charged me another month's interest. Citing that those interest charges were from December even though I was already charged December interest and the entire balance was paid in full which included December interest. I asked them to remove the interest charges and close my account. They wouldn't do it so now I have to pay an additional $77.63 to these scumbags and believe me, if I can get actually get them to close my zero balance accounts (which I'm sure they will attempt to leave them open), I will never do business with Chase Bank again.

I am getting pretty fed up with Chase bank and Chase bank app. I had gone to grocery store early evening Jan 20th. I got an alert after I purchased groceries because I have it set up to notify me when account is lower than 50.00. The alert said 44.06 in account. I went home for the night only to wake up to another notification alert at 8 am "Your account was just overdrawn 132.00 now" -154.00 overdraft? Then Monday I put 100 in my account. Spent five dollars at the gas station. The debit card ran through fine. But yet an hour later another notification: "Your account has been just been overdrawn..." And just now as I'm sitting watching tv another alert! "Your account has just been overdrawn" and now it's saying 164.00.
I am now calling to report because I thought maybe there is just a glitch with the app right now since I pay very close attention to my budget and the 44.00 on Friday was accurate. Not to mention the check deposit screen shot never has worked for me and it constantly logs me out when I have set it not to. I'm pretty disappointing. Chase needs to answer to this issue and fix it. But they said last time I was there when Comcast accidentally double charged me last week that even if they canceled the second charge, apologized and spoke with the banker to confirm the refund... Chase said if for some reason the deduction from Comcast still goes through that I would be hit with fees and my responsibility to handle it? Very angry about this. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Not only do I always seem to have an issue with processing my card, after them sending me a new one, I tried going online to pay my bill but seemed to be locked out of my account. Couldn't open the account because I didn't have the new card they sent me. Finally got the card and opened my account only to be presented with a late fee. Being that I was a few hours late for my payment and told them the ONLY reason I could not pay was due to being locked out my account that you could clearly see. I did not have a phone available so could not call regarding the situation. Been a member for 2014, I pay my bill early and the one time I can't pay due to THEIR system error they would not refund the late fee. Real great customer service, definitely will be closing this account.

I have never had to take 3 days off from work to deal with anyone they had. She absolutely has no business speaking with customers. She is the worst person and supplied zero help only a condescending attitude. I have been lied to by your supervisors about sending out the check to repair my home. The hurricane hit 3 plus months ago. I have had to deal with incompetent people in your awful insurance claims Dept. The bad part is I don't have insurance with you or ever would. I still don't have a check after calling day after day and sending doc after doc to that worthless Terry lady. My file says that all doc have been received but Terry says I need more. She wanted to argue with me as to what a contract is, she said "It's a quote." He is far too ignorant to understand what a contract actually is and your company reps and supervisors are a joke. I had to give one star. If I could give less I would.

On 1/07/2017 went to a Chase ATM TO get money to pay a bill. I put my card in and requested $280.00. I'm not a Chase customer so it charged a $3 fee which I already stay away from Chase for that reason. The ATM told me to remove my card so the cash could be dispensed. For some reason the card wouldn't come out; mind you my bank card was just issued so that was not the problem. Then it gave me a piece of paper that said, “WE'RE SORRY BUT WE ARE UNABLE TO DISPENSE CASH.” FIRST thing I thought, dang I gotta go find another machine. Then I thought, I wonder if it debited my acct. There was another ATM There so I checked to see. Sure enough it took the $280 out of my acct. I immediately called the # on the paper only to be told I had to contact my bank. This was the weekend aft 3p.m.
Now mind you while sitting There on the phone with Chase 3 others came in and the same thing happened to them. One lady said they were just in there fixing that machine. I contact my bank. They tell me I need to put in a claim. I walk up to Chase to see if others had come in from that day. A rude supervisor at that branch told me I was the only repro with that problem and I just had to wait for it to go thru channels. I asked her who's going to pay the late fees on my bill. With a very condescending tone she told me that wasn't her problem. And asked me to leave the bank.
Today is the 12th and Chase still has my money. I wouldn't have went there but for some reason all the ATMs in the neighborhood were down. Eager to get the money order I broke down and went to Chase. This was an ATM in the lobby of a Chase bank. I advise anyone who is not a Chase customer not to use their ATMs. They take your money in a few seconds and it takes forever to get it back. Their attitudes are atrocious and they charge too much to use. They’re stinking machines. They are greedy.

I open a Chase account on Saturday and deposit my check. I was told it would be available today. So I logged in to check the status and it did show the check was deposited and that I had an available balance. So I took my girlfriend for breakfast and when it was time to pay my atm didn't go thru. So I checked my balance and showed I was -100 and the check was on hold. So I called Chase and transfer me to loss prevention and told me that they couldn't verify the check that Bank of America didn't want to verify it. So I had to call HR department and payroll to let them know what was going on. They said they never had a problem before. So now my account is negative and will be on hold for 7 days as I was told by Chase representative.

My husband went into the Hillsboro, Oregon Branch of Chase bank August 8, 2016 and opened a checking account with $500. He had a coupon that offered $300 if you had a direct deposit set up, so he had his social security check set-up for a direct deposit at the same time. In January 2017, we checked to see why the $300 was never deposited. I called the main customer service number, and all they could say was that the coupon was expired. No kidding! I talked to a supervisor, and she told me I had to go to the branch and see why we didn't get it. My husband went into the branch and talked to them, and of course, they knew nothing about it. We have the coupon, and the proof of deposit.
This was nothing but a fraudulent scheme to get new customers. I plan to contact the attorney general of Oregon and would advise anyone else with problems with this bank to do the same. I believe this bank is as crooked as Wells Fargo, and unless people complain to the right office, they will continue with their unscrupulous practices.

In a recent survey, 56 percent of Americans said they have less than $1,000 in their checking and savings accounts combined, Forbes reports. Nearly a quarter (24.8 percent) have less than $100 to their name. That being said, I think it absolutely horrific that the Chase customer is charged an overdraft fee when in fact a direct deposit has cleared PRIOR to a check being presented. I am aware of the whole vague CHASE "SPIEL" as to why it's okay for Chase charge overdraft fees when the money is available, as follows: West Coast Time is different than East Coast Time - re:CHASE end of day. The order in which items are presented to the Chase Customer's account is not the reflective in real time as to what CHASE Representative says is real time posting. This has happened to me so many times that I can't give an accurate number.
The most recent was as follows: 1/6/17 my husband's direct deposit(s) are seen on my computer and available for use at the ATM. My balance is $869.66. 2 Checks I wrote are posted sometime after midnight. The FUNDS were AVAILABLE. We can go back and forth with what CHASE says and what the CUSTOMER is experiencing. The FACT that CHASE does not choose to ERR on the customer's behalf in these border/lines instances is due to NOTHING but GREED on CHASE's behalf. I was charged $34.00 for each of these two checks that were presented (when there was AVAILABLE funds). $68.00 is A LOT of money to be taken away without just cause. The Chase customer who experiences this, are the customers who live paycheck to paycheck. Why is it that they feel the need to take advantage of us? SHAME ON YOU CHASE!

I went to pay my rent. They put it in the wrong account. I called the local branch where I made the deposit. No one answers the phone. I called over 20 times in 2 days and they never answered. Making a trip to the branch was a waste of time. Rob the manager was rude. He said I needed the receipt from the day before and he would reverse the transaction. I drive home and get it. Upon my return Rob refused to reverse the transaction. He was so rude! Running home for the receipt was a 40 minute round trip. He was so rude other employees walked away shaking their heads.
Whenever I come into the branch they charge you to see what you want. On another visit I told Rob I needed to make several transactions. He pulls me out of line and said another employee could help at a desk. She was only able to help with one transaction then informed me the other transactions needed to be done at the teller. I walk over to the line which is 8 people long now. They just don't care about their customers. I was told I wasn't a high priority customer.

Chase associates are unprofessional and heartless. My father was hospitalized and wanted to combine all his assets before his death and the type of customer service we received from the Flushing Main Street branch and from some department on the phone was the most disgusting type of service we have ever encountered. My mother and Aunt went to the Main street branch to ask for help and they would not help at all or give any advice because they said my father would have to walk out of the hospital and come to the branch himself. Ultimately I was able to help my father in the hospital to transfer his funds for him online but then Chase called and left a message wanting to speak with him.
A dying elderly man who was so weak but still had a mental state of mind and was worrying about his funds used up all his energy to speak on the phone and the representative wanted him to figure out how to open a text to give a passcode to authenticate him. And by the time he figured how to use the phone, and told the passcode, the rep said it expired because it has a 5 minute window. They asked security questions which he answered all correctly because he knew his license plate and none of the options were his license numbers, they asked the type of car he had, none of the options were his car, and they asked if he bought pet insurance but none of the answers were his because he has no pets. They even try to tell him to punch his debit card pin expiration date and three numbers on the back of the card but we had to explain to the rep, I believe the rep was not knowledgeable at all.
My father did not have a debit card. He only have an ATM card because he only has a savings account, the blue and white one it has NO NUMBERS on the back. Still the rep would not extend any heart to help when all we wanted to ask was why did you guys call. All we want to do is close out his savings and transfer all the money to Capital One. The phone call was for an hour and the attitude and heartlessness of the representative and the supervisor was completely unacceptable. After talking and trying to help my father on the phone ultimately they said that if I called again that they were UNABLE to help at all and that the only resolution is that my father a dying man MUST LEAVE THE HOSPITAL and walk into the MAIN STREET BRANCH to speak to the person who opened his account to get help. That is not the way customer service and banking works.
We all really felt that everyone is pushing away responsibility and not taking ownership in trying to help the customer. It was her way of saying "Get off the phone. We are not helping you. Go to branch." But what if my dad was in another state, he would have to go to the branch to get help? What if the person who opened his account does not work there anymore, no one can help?? Even though as for my own service with Chase I had never had a problem but when I saw and heard the things the rep were saying when I was trying to help my dad, I could not believe that the training for these reps would be so unprofessional and how heartless they can be.
It seems like when they are opening account they will treat you well with smiles, but when you need help they don't care anymore. My family were all ultimately disappointed with not the PRODUCT but the TYPE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE received from the Flushing Main Street Branch and even more the two ladies that were on the phone.

I've changed my banks twice before because I usually go with local credit unions and needed a more common bank... Worst decision ever was to go with Chase!!! I am very on top of my finances (I'm a finance specialist) and I check my account periodically throughout the day. The first time I got fees from them was 3 at the same time because their system had a glitch!! I called explained what happen, offered screen shots I had taken showing everything was processed and then their system decided to put a transaction thru a second time which over drafted my account almost $200!!!
I called, explained and after arguing for about 20 mins the rep then reversed the fees. So this time I got an overdraft fee. I explained that there was money in my other checking account with them and that my brother was shot and killed Wednesday so I've been preoccupied. I asked if they could reverse it. I had to plan his funeral and pay out of pocket for a lot so I don't have extra money for an overdraft fee. The rep said they wouldn't do it and mentioned the first time they waived fees. After arguing with her for 15 mins she called me a liar (literally!) and said she will not reverse the charges!!!
This is ridiculous!!! I'm furious with this company!!! I'm already going through a hard enough time as is the last thing I need is a rep calling me a liar especially when I'm going through a hard time and my account has never been negative with them before (aside from their system glitch which the rep agreed was their fault!) I won't trust a company that's inconsiderate of family deaths and calls their customers liars!!! And I can assure you my family (I turned them onto Chase) will not be banking with you any longer!!!

I am a Chase Bank customer for 6 years. I had to call their customer service today for the first time. While I see my correct contact address online the agent and her supervisor seems to have a different address at their end. They don’t have an alternate option to verify the customer. How can the customer guess the address that they wrongly have on their system? I have to be on call for more than 15 min and they hang up the call and I was really shocked by their response. I will never recommend them for any banking needs. I am also a business account holder with them. I am looking forward to cancel both of my personal and business accounts with Chase.

On Monday 19 2016 I decided to open a checking account with Chase so I can receive direct deposit from my company and won't be charged a fee at a cashier for every check. That Monday I opened an account with Chase with a check of 560$. I was happy cause I could then receive all my companies deposits without worry. The next day a withdraw some money and before that I have ask a Chase employee if it was ok and he said 'Yes. NO worries, but you must keep your account at 1500$' so I won't be charged 12$ fee every month and I accepted, and said to him it was ok. Then on Friday I found out that my account was restricted. I called and customer service puts me on hold for every call 15 - 30 minutes with no solutions.
On my first call they told me that my check needed to be verified in order to get my account active again. That they called my company and none answered. That I shouldn't worry and call back again. I called next day and same situation. So I decided to go to Chase bank and speak with a representative face to face. She called just the same way I did. She was on hold also. I come to a bank to do the same thing I did. She told me that in the system everything was ok. That they withdraw the total amount from my boss' account and she was confused why was my account restricted and they told her that they needed to verify the check and none answered.
I tried to give them my boss' personal number cause I explained to him the situation and they said they only call the number within the business. They wanted him to come with me to Chase with prove of the account. My boss lives in a different city and he's very busy. So if I don't do that my account will be closed. I explained everything to my boss and he said he never had trouble with any other bank. And that company number has always been his same number. They were lying. I still need a good reason. Now I hate Chase. I also had 14$ refunded back to my account from an item I bought from the web and don't know now where it went. I will never open an account with them. I think they only serve rich people with tons of money but a middle class person like me so complicated!!! Unbelievable. Not verified but they got the money from my company. Smells fishy.

What happen with the business/customer relationship, where is the customer service? Does Chase bank thinks that filling their branches with ATM machines is a good business? It is horrible!! I CLOSED my accounts with Chase. This is the worst bank possibly imaginable!!! So, their system is "rigged" to charge their customers overdraft fees. I was in the process of switching my bank accounts from Chase to WELLS FARGO, who is GREAT by the way. And in the process a check was charged to my Chase account which had next to no funds because all of my funds were transitioned over to my new bank account.
Anyways, so I kept monitoring the Chase account make sure nothing posted to that account and if so I would just deposit to funds to keep from any mishaps. But lo and behold the devil is a LIE!!! A check posted at "11:59 pm". So I was immediately charged a $34 fee at 12 am. One minute later. So of course I called and advised that I have by the end of business day to put the money in the account before the fee is charged!!! Per their policy!!! But then he goes well since it was posted at 11:59 we charged you the fee cause there was not enough time for you to make the deposit??? **!!! That check was intentionally posted at that time specifically to collect that $34 fee. Chase is horrible. One of the worst banks I have ever encountered...
Another issue was I had transferred from some $ from one account to another account to cover a check that may be posting. Now with the QuickPay services, you can transfer funds from one account to another Chase account free of charge and the $ is available immediately. Well I transferred the money at 10:30 that night and woke up with a fee. They claim that the check posted at 5:30 pm that day. Lies!! Because I checked my bank periodically throughout the day that check never reflected in my account. Sooo no one there could tell me why it did not show up on my account even though they could see that I logged into my account several times that day. Secondly, they claim that QuickPay has to be done pm eastern. Which is STUPID cause the funds are available immediately. I get irritated at the sound of Chase's name. I think they should be sued and shut down!!!
