Had a thorough discussion with Stuart on the reporting value in Equity Trust versus real value. Extremely helpful in describing how Equity Trusts calculates the value versus what the "market" value is and Stuart then provided additional pamphlets and useful info in an email. He was professional, relevant and knowledgeable.

They do not send a 1099 each year. Then you are responsible for their laxity. Avoid this group. Shotty service. Just stick with a better group. Rmd will be a huge hassle!!! Stay away from them and other IRA groups in gold. They provide no help really.

Birch Gold talks a good game but I would never recommend them for purchasing gold or anything for that matter. The price they quoted me for proof American Gold eagles was $1,747.50 (spot at $1,445) at the same time another dealer quoted $1,661, and a third dealer $1,555.94. These prices were all quoted at the same time. Now it is surely clear why my summary is "Rip Off Artists." I'm only glad I shopped around and did not purchase with Birch.

Everything I ordered came in beautifully... My only comment or concern is while the volume of purchases is high...being able to reach my company representative is critical. He was most apologetic for the time delay. Also, I did not receive a tracking number so was completely unaware of when I could expect my delivery. The Birch Gold Group employees do a great job assisting with the conversion of stock market-based IRA accounts to Precious Metal IRAs. I was impressed with the personal, hands-on approach provided each step of the conversion process.

The Birch Representative was very helpful with explaining the difference between the metals and the different forms the metals come in. He walked me through the process of transferring my traditional IRA into a precious metals IRA from start to finish. The whole transaction was very smooth and painless.

Do your due diligence. I wanted a gold IRA during the Obama years as I was concerned with the US dollar. I explained my concerns to the rep. We had a long conversation about this matter and the state of the economy, the US dollar, etc... In the end, the rep convinced me that buying proofs was the best way to go. I now know that purchasing proofs completely contradicted my concerns. They were not concerned with my interest, only their own. I was too trusting with the rep and should have done more research on what I was investing in. I have lost over 50% of my original investment. I would avoid doing business with this company.

Half ounce American Eagle Gold Proof - I was apprised of the product in a previous purchase and kept it in mind for gifts to my grandchildren. My younger grandchildren have plenty of toys and the older grandchildren are difficult to buy for on their birthdays. Giving them gold would teach them a valuable lesson in saving and investing, while retaining and increasing value over time. Purchasing proofs would allow them to examine the coins without damaging them. The minimum purchase at the Birch Gold Group required that I purchase a number of coins at one time rather than one at a time; however, they retain their value and potentially would increase in value and I have five grandchildren.

Extremely UNHELPFUL, especially dealing with Phillip **. Don't know about just selling/buying Gold or Silver, but when it comes to using them for an IRA - DON'T. Whomever you use for an IRA, they are suppose to represent you, not their company. They have a fiduciary responsibility to work for you. Birch Gold does NOT do that. At Birch Gold they looked at my account as their piggy bank. Mr. ** REFUSED to answer my questions in writing, except for the first time, and in that letter he out & outlied to me, stating that the value my Silver Canadian Twin Maple Leaf Coins were listed on my IRA account was inaccurate because the listing did not include the Premium the coins would draw when sold. I repeatedly asked where I could find this premium, all to no avail.
