Two family members passed away within 3 weeks of each other leaving us to deal with 7 life insurance companies. It has been 8 weeks and Primerica has not paid the claim while the other 6 companies settled in less than 30 days. It takes the claims adjuster about a week to open an email. We get as many as 3 requests by mail for the same information which they verify they received by email. Then after a week or more a request comes by mail for additional information. The adjuster never returns a call leaving the customer representative dealing with the customer.

Genuine, caring and respectful. I had no problem to collect the money from insurance in time. No harassment, no prejudice, but I had a case manager named Stacy who was able to get everything that I have to in time. Mostly was her voice which soothed my grief. Thanks again for helping a widow.

Keep in mind that all of the bad experiences with Primerica regarding insurance and the job itself, is based on the agent. They are independent contractors so most likely it is your agent's fault and not the company. My agent is always answering my calls, taken me out to lunch a couple times, and checks on my family a few times out the month. Luckily my agent is at the #1 office in the nation so I have no complaints.

Primerica sells you Term Life insurance only at the discount rate. This means that they don't markup the premium like other insurance companies do with the cash value policies. Other financial services/guidance is complimentary. They are a great and reputable group to partner with to secure your financial future, as well as to insure you are ready when it comes time for retirement.

I requested a sizeable redemption check from my money market account on February 10, 2021. After not receiving the check in over two weeks I contacted Primerica. Primerica cancelled the previous check and sent me a replacement check on March 9, 2021. I immediately deposited it and it showed up as positive deposit in my checking account March 19, 2021. Typical for banks to hold for days on a large check to insure it clears. On March 25, 2021, I checked my online account days while paying bills and noticed that the check had been marked returned and I was charged a fee for the returned check. I contacted my bank and they told me the check was returned by “the Maker of the check” who is Primerica via Mellon Bank due to insufficient funds.
I immediately contacted Primerica and they said the check was cashed and there is nothing we can do about it. I finally got my bank on a three-way call with Primerica, and Primerica asked for my bank to send them all of the information indicating the return of the check. Today is April 14, 2021 and I have spent over 12 hours and dozens of different customer representatives, Case Numbers, Reference Numbers, Investigation Numbers, and every time I call its like they have no idea of what I am speaking of and it starts all over again and tell me they are continuing to investigate.
The latest request from them was for me to send them a screen shot of my account showing the deposited check and the returned check, which I have done. I have asked for a supervisor during each call, never have been given a supervisor. Each time I call, they ask me for the name of Primerica Representative, I give the name and remind them each time that his name is on my account, but he has not worked for Primerica for over 10 years, I know him personally.
This place is a sham, pyramid scheme to sell you life insurance and get you to invest. I have never once been contacted by Primerica in over 15 years to advise me my investments. Matter of fact, the advisor they have on my account has not worked for Primerica for over 10 years. This is the very reason I am moving all of my accounts over to Ameriprise where I have had the best experience. Sharing as to keep others from going through what I have. DO NOT USE PRIMERICA FINACIAL SERVICES

I have been involved with Primerica for over 30 yrs. I’m not a huge income earner. I’ve worked a regular job and used primerica as a source of extra income for my family and that’s what I found so attractive to their opportunity. And I joined them because number one the person who came to see me Made such a huge impact on my life by explaining just common sense concepts about investments and life insurance and helping me properly protect my family. I was so impressed by what they did for me. I joined the company because what they did was so good for me. I just wanted to help other people like they helped me and over the years I have helped many families by sharing what we do at Primerica.
I have never ever sat down with anyone and shared our concepts of how we help families and had a not one negative response even if I didn’t do business with them. And I always ask is, "What I’ve shared with you so educational that you would want share it with everyone?" You know just to help them understand what I’ve been able to teach you today even if you didn’t get paid to do it and their response is absolutely 100%.
So for the people who write all the negative things on here maybe you did have a bad experience but if so it is absolutely not because PFS itself is not a great company. Maybe you had an agent who as in many companies didn’t do their job properly and I hate that for you. I really do. I’m just saying if McDonald’s had an employee that did a bad job that doesn’t make their Big Macs (products) bad.
So for everyone who reads these posts if you want to look for something negative and make very serious decisions for your financial future do your own homework and make a your decision based on the facts for yourself. You won’t find them here. I’ve never ever done one of these posts before in my life but I believe everyone owes it to themselves to make such important decisions for their families future based on facts.
All I will say is this in closing (THERE'S NOTHING MORE POWERFUL THAN AN IDEA THAT'S TIME HAS COME). This company was founded by a high school football coach with an idea and a crusade to help middle class Americans just like himself have a better future for their families and that idea has grown into the Largest Financial Services Marketing company in North America today. I really don’t think that happened by doing bad things for people, you might just wanna check how we got to this point for yourself!! God Bless.

Everything was explained in layman's terms and all and any questions were answered by agent who had my best interest at heart. Medical questionnaire etc was straight forward and not misleading or vague, covered a lot of things and nurse was able to came when it fit with my schedule any time of day.

This is a term life insurance policy that renews every ten years. The premiums increase at renewal and is recalculated based on my age at renewal time. Because of my income, I have had to reduce the amount of the insurance. I started at $120,000 when I initially bought this insurance in 1989. I am currently down to $15,000 to achieve affordability. There is no cash value attached as it would have been had I bought a whole life policy. At my current age of 70, a whole life policy would cost more than I could currently afford. Despite these issues, this company was very efficient at paying me after my son died as I also paid his insurance premiums.

I have life insurance with Primerica, I purchased when I was very young. I have regretted my entire experience with them since. Please do thorough research about insurance policies and your agent (or lack thereof) before getting tangled up with this very unethical group. Low morals, no communication, and they could not admit their years of billing errors. It's so disappointing that they took advantage of my lack of life experience all of those years ago, and that's the type of group they continue to be.

I have had a term life insurance policy with Primerica since 1990, I was 35 years old at the time. The first 20 years, the premiums were very affordable, then in 2010 the premiums went up to $89.02. On September 11, 2020, I received a letter titled “Premium Increase Notification”. I now have two (2) options and they are as follows: I can choose a monthly premium of $423.80 (a 476% increase) or a monthly premium of $366.71 (a 411% increase) or I could downgrade my coverage drastically and still pay a considerable monthly premium, that doesn’t even balance out, considering the amount of coverage that you’re losing.
And by the way, if I do not choose a new payment option, they will choose the higher premium for me, without my approval and proceed to submit an ACH on my behalf, for payment. On September 11th, I contacted the company by phone and requested the following documentation: 1. A signed and dated copy of my original policy. 2. An audit statement (billing and payment history) from 1990 through August 2020. It is now 10/21/20, and I’m yet to receive either of these two (2) documents.
I have tried contacting my representative directly (John **) directly by phone and via e-mail, with no response. A representative on his behalf contacted me and I requested the above on three different occasions and she could not provide. She told me I would have to request this information via e-mail and send it to a specific e-mail. I have sent four different e-mails and I have still not received the information that I have been requesting, for over a month.
Why do they assume that at this late stage in life, that I would be able to afford an exorbitant increase in my premiums? If you’re a sensible and honest thinking person, wouldn’t you assume that the premiums would go down? I am now 65 years of age, retired and on a fixed income. I think we ALL know how this scam works: They want to force you to cancel your policy and it’s a win-win for them. They get to keep all the money that you’ve paid them for the last 30, 40 or 50 years. After all they’ve been using your hard-earned money to invest, grow and pay commissions. Therefore, we have insurance companies that are filthy rich! Do not purchase a policy from Primerica Life Insurance Company.

My wife and I met with the agent for the first time in our home. This was pretty convenient considering we didn't have to drive anywhere. With three small kids it's difficult to round them up for an insurance presentation. The agent educated us on the importance of insurance as well as investing for our future. We ended up taking two policies on my wife and myself, and then later we opened an investment account. Had friends start selling for them. Wife and I agreed to listen to their pitch as they were training. They showed up with their "mentor". We sat down and after a few minutes of small talk, the pitch started. They started asking about life insurance and finances. Asked if I would be interested in seeing how they could help us save for retirement. I told them sure and then they started asking for money. No information given as to products at this point. I told them that my wife and I don't make financial decisions on the fly and that we would discuss it privately.
When I refused to budge on that matter, their mentor just stood up and said that we had nothing more to discuss. Meeting lasted 10 mins tops. If your product is that great, why do I have to pay to get information? I purchase based on the merit of the product. Without information on the product, I won't give a single penny. Still friends with the couple but the only way I see them make money is when they recruit a bunch of people and steal commissions from them.

I usually do not like to write anything online and put myself out there but I've read a few reviews about the experience that others had with this company. First I would like to say that I had an awesome experience with the company. I was able to get my policy and get the coverage I needed and then even increase it as needed. I just called up my representative and they helped me right away.
There is one thing that I really would like to point out. Some people say they think this a pyramid scheme. Well if people really think about it a regular 9-5 job working for a company can also be considered a pyramid. Every job has its entry level jobs then you work yourself up the ladder by experience and longevity. Then you get a raise or promotion and you move yourself up in the company.
Same as Primerica. You start off at the bottom then as you sell and recruit you move up the ladder. No difference in the area. The only thing that is different is you decide your own Destiny. The more you want to make then the more you have to work. But you get to make that choice. You don't have someone breathing down your neck telling you that you're late or you didn't do something right. You are your own Boss! People who feel that this is not legit or it's a scam are the same people who are not cut out for this type of work, also they may not have people skills and that's ok cause everybody is different and has different skills and excel in different areas.

Financial services. Primerica is multi level marketing but so are most businesses. RVPs have to put in a lot of hard work to get to their position, selling to their own Clients, recruiting, training educating. This is one of the best companies when it comes to training and being hands on, the biggest Employer of Women empowering them to be self sufficient. You are in charge of your own destiny within the business. Encouraged by a team, paid for education that would otherwise cost you thousands of dollars. It is a chance to run your own business and what you put in is what you get out, not for everyone especially those who do not like hard work, but those who do make good money.

After going to my first Primerica meeting, I could immediately identify that it was a Multi-Level Marketing company, or put into Layman's terms, a Pyramid Scheme. The people in your "upline" make all of their passive, bragged-about income off of YOU and YOUR sales and recruits. Primerica RVPs like to brag about how much money they make without doing anything. That's because they have built a hierarchy that recruits literally EVERYONE and promises them that they can quit their job and join Primerica for "unlimited income potential." You only make money if you recruit people, regardless if they are salespeople or not. The only way to make a steady income is to always be recruiting people, selling them a policy to make your commission, and then to heck with them. If they recruit and make you more money, then great, if not, you'll just go find another vulnerable soul to con into your scam.
For those in Primerica now, I am not some "unsuccessful, unmotivated" agent who just "didn't try," I actually made a couple thousand dollars working with Primerica, but at what cost. I ruined relationships and friendships I had for YEARS by trying to recruit people into a Pyramid Scheme. EVEN PRIMERICA STATES ON THEIR WEBSITE "From January 1 through December 31, 2018, Primerica paid cash flow to its North American sales force at an average of $6,069, which includes commissions paid on all lines of business to licensed representatives." So to all those "new recruits" reading this, the RVP in that opp meeting that talks about how many millions he's made from Primerica, be careful what you believe.
I could go on and on forever about how poor of an experience I had with Primerica, but if this review communicates any message at all, let it be STAY AWAY FROM PRIMERICA. Are there people who have done well in the company? Yes. They either got lucky or are great con artists. It's a waste of time, money, and relationships. For a company that talks about independence, freedom, and a happy life with lots of money, they sure know how to take that away from people.

This is my experience I hope it serves before making a decision. I learned about Primerica from a friend and agreed to listen to his supervisor. I ended up accepting a charge to my card to learn more. I discovered that I am not interested in the business model, very similar to a pyramid model [although they deny it and theorize about it in their meetings]. I agreed to listen to an offer on life insurance and here again they charged me for analysis and for something else. They promised to return the funds if the policy was not in my interest. RESULT: The results of the analysis were never sent. They did not return the funds [until today]. They never sent me a policy. A mess of disorganization and lack of professionalism. They still charge me monthly for belonging to I don't know what. Although I have contacted more than four times to stop doing so.
1- Sellers of Primerica. If you cannot handle a simple insurance policy, how do you think that I give you my contact details so that they are called on my name?
2- There are people out there, who are not interested in your business model, just come to know.
3- When you see it is almost religious fervor, hide your credit card because you can end up in a mess like I am now.
4- Finally there are thousands of ways to establish income through the Internet, look for information before falling into the hands of unscrupulous companies.
Good luck. Ferminius

We called my husband's "Friend" who said he had a great way for us to make money and a way for us to get life insurance. He apparently has a lot of money he has made with his investments. I highly doubt it is with Primerica. We trusted them and how we would increase our investments. Well, we started with them last year in October 2018 and it was now November of 2019 and everyone else I know WITH OTHER INVESTMENT COMPANIES were making money off their investments. Our money was losing. They knew we had no idea what we were doing with our money and they told us to let it sit there and it would make money all on its own. What a crock of **. Primerica Fees and their BS ate up any of our extras in fees.
We finally spoke with my brother in law who we should have just gone to first. We have closed our 2 investment accounts and we, of course, lost almost a 1000 or overall our investments. Now we are trying to roll my husband's SEP IRA to CS and of course, they are holding on tight to that money. This is absolute crap and now I am having my husband call again to get them to CLOSE DOWN AND LET THE MONEY ROLL TO THE NEW IRA. They also want you to work for them and they all brag about making money. You basically make money off the people under you. That is multilevel marketing and it is not a real job. Do not put your money with them. All of the good reviews on this are from the people who currently work with them.
Also, the "friend" could not even correctly fill in the paperwork initially and input the wrong birth date. I had to call and change, he also gave them wrong info so our SEP-IRA did not start right away because he screwed that up. This is not a good way to make money. Go to CS and you will get great customer service and will not hold your money hostage!
Seriously people, take these bad reviews to heart. We have 2 family businesses but neither of us has ever invested money and we trusted what they said in all of those 'cheerleading" meetings. It all sounded great. Except you never hear from them again after your money is invested, not even to see how your investments are going. That is not a company with your best interest.
I am now going to family who invests his own money and actually makes money like everyone else in the US. Primerica has horrible Customer Service also and every time you call we have had the rudest people. This company will eat your money. GO ELSEWHERE I WARN YOU. I am not a bitter employee either. I really feel this company scams people with high fees. We are now getting new life insurance and it is 75% lower too. I advise everyone to not go to a Primerica person as they are not knowledgeable about investments. Most are people off the street. Ask each person how much knowledge base they have. Did they go to school to learn about stocks and investments? Good luck to anyone who does go with them. We are still fighting with this stupid company to release our SEP-IRA and I am pissed! I am going to also make a complaint to the BBB.
GO to Charles Schwab or another reputable company with Brokers who have gone to school to get their brokers license... They also tried to increase our life ins policy from $750k to $800k and our monthly payment went up without even asking us! We don't need $800k. They do what they want with your money and it is way more expensive than other places. I am a Life Coach and I fear for people's money with this company! I am for the little guys who get bullied so go elsewhere to invest and buy life insurance. At least call other places out before setting on this company and get different quotes for life insurance. GOOD LUCK!

The copy I was given says 30 years, yet they are telling me someone in the office entered the policy as 20 years, and even though I have proof as to how long the policy should be, they are unwilling to honor their original word. I have taken the time to read over a lot of these reviews and I think that it is so incredibly funny what so many of these people have claimed. One said that they charged them $99 & $25, one question, if they were charging you, they could only do it, if you gave them your card info. Which means that you agreed to get with there company. Can't charge you unless, you give them the info to do it. Another one said that whole life was great and that they are only paying $68/month, clearly they have no idea how whole life even works.
Part of your monthly payment actually goes to the insurance, and the over paid part, which only happens when you're younger, is put into a bank account that only the insurance company gets, not the customers paying into it, and as you age, you are still paying the same premium, but the extra money that was going into that account is no longer, intact. They don't know it, but they are actually losing money from that account to cover the missing part of the premiums. So when you are 20, say the cost of insurance is $40/month, and $28 is going into that account. But when you are 60, the amount of the insurance is more like $138/monthly, but you are still only paying $68/month. So where is the other $70/month coming from.
What your insurance is not telling you, is it is coming out of that account, and once that money is gone, then it is taking away from the death benefit, so when you die at 65, and are counting on a $100k check, it is probably only worth like $40k. So many people don't understand insurance and that is exactly what these financial industry are counting on. And they don't want to tell you any of it, just let you find out when it is way to late to do anything about. Another says they drag out the death benefits, clearly they work for a competitor, or they really didn't have a legal leg to stand on.
When 9-11 happened, the very next day, they were the only company to even pay the death benefits. All the other companies, used a terrorist clause not to pay one dime, so many people had to sue the other companies and the courts decided in the clients favors, and yet, they didn't even give 25% of the death benefits to anyone. There are so many reviews on here, that it is very obvious to people who actually know the business, knows that they don't know what they are talking about or the work for a competitor and want to put up false reviews. And it is making other people who read these reviews miss out on good business.
It is obviously your choice, all I have to say, is actually know what you are talking about before you screw people who could really use the help. They are the only ones who will sit down with you, drive to your home, all free of charge and explain in detail, so that you actually will know how it works and how these other companies are manipulating people big time.

This WL policy pays dividend and will continue paying dividends after it's paid-up in year 20. At age 65 the death benefit would have doubled and the cash value is about $58k. I don't think that's bad considering she only paid $68 a month for 20 years. Primerica really does not understand (GOOD) whole life compared to say a Guarantee Issue policy. There is nothing wrong with term but where do you go after you've aged out.

My Brother died from a heart attack. He had been paying Primerica for many years, a lot of money a month. However, after he died, they tried everything they could to not pay the Death Benefits. They tried to drag out the process. Made calls to say that you needed to sign a letter so they could pay the Funeral expenses only. They tried to say he had illnesses that they were not aware of, his Doctor had to get involved to assure them that his high blood pressure and diabetes was well managed and still, they would not pay. They were always aware of these illnesses. The Agent kept assuring the Family that they were processing the claim. We ended up having to hire a Lawyer and negotiated to settle for a lesser amount. My Brother truly believed that he had left his Family in a good place because he truly believed in Primerica. Consider yourself warned! And, the Agent has never called again!

Just search around for all the available reports of people complaining that their life insurance rates skyrocketed, sometimes tripling, after reaching a certain age. The whole plastic happy cult feeling of their conventions is just the cherry on top. If you want a legit business opportunity, or want to buy decently priced life insurance or invest into mutual funds, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

I really enjoyed working with my agent in Virginia and learned a lot about how my insurance and 401k works and appreciated the patience to meet with me three times before I became a customer and advocate. Reading below people some commenters are shocked that after their term ends in 30 years the premium is 3x or 6x more with PRI, but consider all other competitors, which are all 20x to 30x more if they even allow you to convert; my fiancé and several friends I introduced them to had policies that were 30x or 40x more when it was time to renew, after looking into it. It makes sense, how do you expect insurance companies to sensibly price you?
I like that you don’t have to reprove your health when you renew even when over 65 (who else does that?), their track record of paying out, and candidness. Yes I probably pay $10 more than somewhere else but the benefits mentioned above is worth it. Could you imagine getting a terminal illness just a few months before your insurance ends and/or the market crashes, you would be leaving behind far less on the table for your family if the unexpected happens. It’s the most sensible option that I’ve ever seen.

My premium is scheduled to go up to $92.65 this month and I notice on a scheduler that I received in the mail last week that the older I get the cost to maintain this policy will be almost as much as a Social Security check if Social Security still exist in 20 years. I'm getting out before it is too late. I'm searching for a new carrier. I actually found one that was almost $40 cheaper per month and would provide $100K more for me for the next 20 years with a locked in rate. It is so sad that people take advantage of people when they are in need.

A friend of mine was approached at the Dollar Store and asked if him or anyone needed a job in an office. He was with both of his kids and probably wasn’t thinking about how shady that sounded. He asked me if I want a job in an office I told him where and he proceeds to explain to me about this woman who offered him this job at the store and I tell him that sounded kinda shady and told him to block her number. A few months pass by and I’m in need of a job and he reminds me about this “office job” so I tell him to go ahead and let her know and I’ll check it out to see if it’s legit. She called me immediately and asks to come in for an interview that same day. I walk in expecting an interview and felt more like I was walking into a cult recruitment. I was suspicious but stayed anyway being that I drove 30 minutes to be there.
The whole time everyone is so uppity and happy and exciting sharing their stories of success and giving a real convincing speech. As soon as I found out we were being “hired” to sell life insurance I immediately thought it was a scam but decided to stay through the 2 hour long “ interview”. They gave rewards and we even watched an incredibly corny “Your dreams can come true with PRIMERICA!” Video..... After it all I was so confused I asked her, "So what am I actually going to be doing?" She said selling insurance etc etc. She said they train me for a month after I get certified by sending in the application and paying the fee.....I told her that’s not what I thought this was but kept an opened mind and started filling out the application as a leap of faith.
As I’m about to sign I ask her if there’s a fee and only after I ask she says, "Yes there’s a 100 and something dollar fee."....and asked me to write down names of some people I think might be interested in life insurance etc. I asked her if they were going to call whoever I put and she said, "No we don’t call anyone." So I proceeded on writing my dad's information. I tell her I’m gonna think about it because it’s just kind of weird to me and I’m unsure of the whole situation and also didn’t want to pay 100 something for something I wasn’t even sure about. The next day she texts me that it was a pleasure meeting me and sends me like 20 links of “verified sources” to research Primerica and said she looked forward to seeing me at the next meeting that same day.
I didn’t respond and a few days later I get a call from another agent saying she’s calling because she values the agent's time and wants me to get things going. I tell her I’m not interested and she keeps trying to persuade me and ask me why not being extremely persistent and annoying. A few minutes later my dad calls me asking me why some lady calls him telling him I put his name as a referral for life insurance. I call her back and ask her to leave us alone and also ask the Dollar Store agent to leave us alone and told her that she was shady and dishonest and she responds with “Sorry I don’t know who this is.” I’ve heard of pyramid scheme companies but I’ve never had this experience before.
Being in that room listening to their presentation was so unreal and yes I realize I sound like a moron staying there and even filling out the application. I was ignorant and naive and wasn’t thinking clearly and I regret ever answering that phone call. Please beware of these shady people and also be aware that they recruit their agents from stores by walking up to random people and misleading them with job offers.... Such a horrible experience and I hope to never hear from these people again.

The initial representatives answering the phone were excellent in giving me contact information (Juanita #** {twice}, Debbie **, and Tanya #**). Between the combined four callbacks I've spent over seventy minutes on hold: Not a good omen. By calling back a fifth time, I'm now highly agitated, and in the midst of being placed on hold again, while I'm writing this review.
Confusion of this sort is why businesses of this caliber receive a reputation of always being available when it comes time to put money into an account but, difficult to reach anyone when it's time to remove your funds. The issue is that none of the agents that the representatives connected me with were responding, as either their phone number didn't work or their phone lines were full and were not accepting any more messages.
Then the unexpected happened. My fifth representative Fran #**, went beyond the well-meaning customer support lip-service and allowed me to stay on the phone with her as she tried contacting another agent before I disconnected from Primerica. Fran #** was able to get through to an agent, leave him a voice message, and answer my questions, along with helping me with my redemption form process. He really tried to probe for specific answers. I felt like I was up against the ropes all of a sudden.
My policy is (1) never spend any money on the spot and (2) never spend money without talking to my fiancee. He didn't have respect for either of those things. After he vomited all over us about his flashy lifestyle he proceeded to tell us that he started 24-months ago and earned $500k in the first 18-months. Then he proceeded to say he didn't start spending money on his flashy lifestyle until he earned 3 to $4-million in 2-years. Wait a minute, Mr. East LA?? You just said you earned $500k in the first 18-months and now you're a multimillionaire. WTF!?
I had to see how this scam was going to end so I stuck around to ask questions. Keep in mind, Primerica is a "TERM" Life Insurance and Mutual Fund financial management company aka Scam Company. No High School diploma or Degree or MBA required to become a VP in 24-months. Really? Everybody in attendance looked like they barely had a license to drive a car and they considered themselves to be so-called licensed Financial Advisers/brokers? I'm sure your mom left the dishes for you to wash too when you came home to her house.
Here's the truth... Fat-** avoided me once I started asking questions about specifics as it relates to Whole Life Insurance also known as Permanent Life Insurance vs. Term Life Insurance. Let me be clear... TERM Life Insurance and Mutual Funds "make" not "earn" MAKE, Primerica billions because your beneficiaries will never receive the death benefit policy payout. NEVER! Mutual Funds are heavily laced with broker/agent fees and then Ordinary Tax implications eat up the rest of your distribution. You'll never earn a dime but Primerica and Mr. East LA-Fat-** will get rich off the commissions of your pea brain youth and novice knowledge on how to recognize a scam.
They literally instructed me to allow the Term insurance to lapse at the end of the 30th year. Wait? What happens to the $100k I paid out of pocket over 30 years plus my compounding interest? Oh, wait... I forgot, Mr. High School dropout, Fat-**, and Primerica Executives kept my $100k plus interest. Thanks. But no thanks! Taking advantage of young impressionable minds should be outlawed. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) frowns on MLM's but are hesitant to shut them down. Let me guess why? One word... Lobbyist! No wonder everybody wants to come to North America. Home of the free, the brave, the snake-oil salesmen and suckers waiting to buy the lie! I digress...

Quick career change, I thought. He wanted to get together and give me a presentation. I asked him if he went back to school part-time or working on some kind of certification on the side and he mentioned no. His new employer was Primerica and they "trained" him to become a financial advisor (in 3 months, with no previous experience).
He proceeded to give me an an overview of their retirement products and was completely out of his element. I don't have a finance background, but I do have an M.B.A. and have taken investing classes. The poor guy had no idea what he was talking about. I just had this experience from Primerica: My niece called saying she’s having training and that she needs our help. If ok with us, she and her mentor will come to our house. And of course I say “yes!” When they came, there were three of them. Her mentor was the one who did the talking (not what I expected because I thought my niece would do the talking and that she will be graded). Later on, the mentor talked to us about investments, life insurance, RRSPs and getting on the business.
The mentor asked about when we wanted to retire and asked how much investments, debts and monthly payments we have. He used their system to see if it was possible and how much we needed to add to our monthly investments to get into our desired retiring age. He told us that our current life insurance was good enough and we were lucky to get it at lower price and that we did not need to get their life insurance.
He also explained about investing by using charts, but his explanation was vague and it was clear he lack experience and knowledge in the field. He persuaded us to invest in Primerica and later persuaded us to borrow money to put in RRSP. He showed us using their computer system, that our child tax would be bigger if we put in more money into our RRSPs. But he could not explain what is adjusted net income, and he tried to change the conversation when asked about their system. I am a certified public accountant and listening to the ** was like fooling myself and getting a stone to hit my head.
It took them about five hours to convince us. My husband signed up for membership out of respect to my niece. I was just shocked how easy to process the membership that it was like there was not enough time given to think about it. I was looking at my husband and I could see the doubts on his face. We knew this was a scam. At first he was trying to explain that he could not be good salesman since he has no sales talk. Then I told them that my husband was busy and he might not be able to get the clients. But the mentor reassured him that all he has to do was to get appointments and the rest would be up to him. My husband was even told that to get into the house you have to tell your friends/relatives that you have training. It was clearer then that it was a scam! The mentor was even laughing that my niece was the only way to get us into this business because my husband just rejected a friend’s offer on the same company.
In the morning, I told my husband to cancel. I also went to this site to see some reviews and realized how many people had similar experience. I was worried about the $125 we paid since the reviews said you would not be able to get it back. True! When I texted the mentor to cancel there was this $31 fee and you have to fill up a form for refund. How cruel! I did not expect the money back but I don’t want more people break their families or friends because of this scam. Don’t trust in fake companies that lead you to believe getting rich is easy. Easy money is not real! All the people who are rich work hard to get there not by scams. My niece is too young to understand this and I wrote this because I want her to get off this because I love her and I still love her.

I called now another new agent I’ve never heard of and no respond. I called several times, no responds but finally he leaves me a message with the rates I requested. Tried calling again, left message no response, so I said, “The heck with you” and looked up another agent.
This guy was great but new, wasn’t sure if he could take over someone else’s account. I told him I wanted a agent that acted like he was interested in me, because that other guy could care less. He called, they said he could. We did the policy for 10 years like the other times. We shook hands. I left his office. 2018 I get a letter that says my policy is expiring next month, which I called the name on the letter and told them no way and why.
Long story short somehow the new agent made a mistake and it recorded the policy for a year instead for 10 years so now I was having a policy increase at 70 years old and yearly. My new agent went to bat for me telling the company he made the mistake. It was supposed to be 10 years, can they change the policy. I can't believe this company is still in business and people are still falling for their lies. About 7 years ago, I "interviewed" with them. It consisted of a group of people, I was 35 and by far the oldest in the room. Some random girl came in and started telling us how in only a year, she was a Vice President, how easy it was to sell to her friends and family, and everyone wanted in. I knew immediately it was a pyramid scheme, but I was already there, and didn't walk out right away. I noticed the room of "kids" were lapping it up.
Seriously, these other so called interviewees were barely 25 at the oldest, most looked barely 21. I have no idea how they even thought I wouldn't know what was going on. She kept telling the room how much money she was making, it was so easy, and she could barely keep up with the demand. She then "excused" herself because they were having an "awards" ceremony in the next room, but she had a movie for us to watch. So she starts this movie and leaves the room. You hear nothing but cheers and yelling going on in the "awards" happening next door.
The movie is all about how you could be unprepared for an emergency, so you need to financially protect you and yours. I'm still hanging in there, but it was more and more obvious it was a scam. Then, the tipping point for me happened. So the movie is all about what could happen, so you've got grandma in the hospital, the assorted car accidents and fires, the normal unfortunate events... And then a shot of the Twin Towers coming down on 9/11. Yep, that's when I lost it. I yelled "Oh, my, GOD!" and jumped up. I look at the room of stupid kids and told them it was a pyramid scheme, to go ask their parents what that was, and grabbed my coat and walked out the door. I then see a bunch of their "agents" in the hallway and totally unloaded on them about what a despicable con they were pulling and how they should be ashamed of themselves. I made sure I was loud enough so the kids could hear me since we all just listened to the "cheering".

I've just now looked through my account thoroughly after continuing to see big drops in my total, more than I've ever seen when I was with Fidelity, and realized I've been charged a sales charge rate of roughly 5% on my funds, totaling $1923 of my money in 8 months. All front load, all into the pockets of their rep, on up the ladder to their district leader and director instead of into my future wealth. Yes, the market has been down ($4889) which will happen, but the fees has been 40% of my total loss, wiping out any dividends and capital gains I've earned.
After reading tons of investing articles, JL Collins book Simple Path to Wealth, and Jack Bogle's book Common Sense Investing, I'm pissed. This is why JL Collins says con artists are disguised as very nice people. No one cares about your money more than you. Never trust a "rep" trying to deal with your money. I've transferred to Vanguard. Highly recommend anyone dealing with Primerica to get out as fast as you can. The transfer cost me $85, and closing the account was an additional $50. You can then sell your funds to invest in index funds. The expense ratio of my index funds are .04 and .05%, so I would've been charged $19 instead of $1900 in the past 8 months. Primerica's expense ratio is at least 100x more. Ouch. PLEASE DO YOUR OWN READING AND RESEARCH and don't take my word for it. It really pays off, literally. My girlfriend's cousin is one of their, for lack of a better word, salespeople. She was over for dinner one day and started up her sales pitch and I immediately recognized it as a pyramid scheme. As she was going through everything they offered I really wanted no part of it but I had been looking into life insurance and I decided to see what kind of quote she could offer me. So she did some math and we agreed to $650,000 with a $15,000 rider for my girlfriend and 2 $10,000 riders for our 2 children. After filling out the information the monthly premium she came up with was $68/Month. I thought that was reasonable so I signed up and paid for the first month on the spot.
We set up an appointment and a nurse came to my house and drew blood and took a urine sample and everything seemed fine. One month later I was reviewing my bank account and noticed the premium hadn't been withdrawn. I thought it was odd so I logged on to my Primerica and noticed it said my monthly premium was now $171/Month and I was only covered for $434,000. I called her to ask and she told me that because I had a student pilot license and had flown an airplane, 3 years ago at that point, I was being charged an extra $2.50 for each $1000 dollars I was insured for as well as them taking the $250,000 of life insurance I have through work into account when calculating my insurance need.
I told her I wanted to cancel the policy because I was now being charged TWO AND A HALF TIMES AS MUCH FOR TWO-THIRDS THE COVERAGE. She then told me she would call her "boss" and see what she could do. She then brought some paperwork for me to sign which said that my premium would drop to $168 a month for the first two years and then drop to $58 dollars a months after. That sounded much better but I thought I could probably do better elsewhere. Upon further inspection I found that doing so would also drop my insurance to $125,000. I'm still waiting to hear back from her after telling her I still want to cancel.

First and foremost, I have been a client since 2005. At the time I was 22 and my husband was 23 and we had a 2 month old baby. I was looking for life insurance when someone referred us to someone... I thank God he was a Primerica agent! We wanted life insurance but what we got was a financial education and an opportunity to learn how to get out of the financial hole we had managed to dig ourselves into.
The agent who came over to my mom's converted garage (which is where we were living at the time) is no longer in Primerica, but we have remained friends throughout the years and we love him and his wife and kids. They changed our life! Because of the education we received by getting involved with Primerica, we were saved from getting into the WRONG type of life insurance, we were able to pay off $32,000+ of credit card debt, we started investments for emergencies, retirement, and education. I had such an appreciation for what I was learning that I went out and got my license to help my friends and family. In 2007 one of my client passed away and, even though I was not actively working the business, I was able to deliver a check to that family. There is no one who can tell me Primerica doesn't work.
Primerica changes people's lives! The opportunity is amazing, for those who work it. If you are looking for 9-5 deal with a guaranteed check on Friday, this opportunity isn't for you. Primerica is for anyone, but it's not for everyone. Primerica is for people who can't stand the idea of living a mediocre life working at a j.o.b. for 40-60 years and retiring broke! Primerica is for people who genuinely love what they do, but want to make a bigger impact in their community while earning great part-time income! My one advice to anyone hearing about Primerica for the first time, or who is having doubts about moving forward, is this... GO FOR IT! The worst case scenario is, you give it a real shot and you find out that it's not for you so you stay where you are.

I went to an appointment for life insurance. The agent was a former classmate of mine so I trusted her. Her sales pitch sounded so good I decided to sign up. Upon signing up I didn’t realize I had to be annoying and aggressive. So I decided to cancel. I paid $124 dollars and all they refunded me was $20.75. It’s crazy to me. I signed up on the 16th cancelled on the 21st. After all this the agent is still calling me to get life insurance. No thank you. Please be cautious when dealing with this company.

Scam huh? Anyone who would legitimately take the time to do their research will find that Primerica is a business like any other legal entity. My experience has been and I have been in the business for quite a number of years is that everyone who joins Primerica and pays attention to instruction will have the success that they are willing to work for. They will learn that at the end of the day, there are only a certain number of things they can control; more importantly, they should learn to control themselves.
A person can join Primerica to learn how to get out of debt, so they can save and invest their money and build wealth. To do this, discipline and time are required. Some people get a little salty if they do not receive results instantly or within a time frame they have set for themselves. It takes time to undo the mess that most people have made in their finances, but they want to blame the company because they won't do the things they are being coached to do to get the results they want; so they walk away.
What they don't realize is that they get to do this, along with their current job, which will speed up the paying off of their bills if they learn the skills necessary to earn the money. If they knew that without a doubt, they were guaranteed to receive a paycheck every day for their efforts, they would do what they are told instead of finding every reason not to. Let's face it, there was obviously something that drew them to this opportunity, which could be a business opportunity or just an opportunity to help them strengthen the resources they already have. Only that person knows why they got involved in the first place.
No one at Primerica is going to get mad at you because you decide that your goals and dreams aren't worth fighting for. And you’re probably still fighting but to no avail; getting little results, if any. Your upline just sought to find someone who believed their dreams were worth fighting for. Primerica provides a resource that anyone can use if they just learn the fundamentals of the business and follow the process. Too many times we want to control the outcome and if we can’t, we conclude that it doesn’t work. Don’t you realize that is why systems and processes were designed? It is because they work. It’s like a recipe, if you follow the instructions, the cake will turn out great. However, if you decide to add salt in the recipe where it tells you to add sugar; your cake will taste quite different from one that was using sugar.
Think about what you’re walking away from. Think. Think back when you were a little kid and your parents told you to do things you didn’t agree with, but they always tried to tell you what was best for you. Go ahead, I dare you to get disciplined about your finances and see if your life doesn’t change. You already have a job, right? And many of you have been earning money for quite some time and have no idea why your finances are out of control to the point you need 2 to 3 jobs to catch up. And this is all the time with some people. When are you going to get disciplined? Primerica can help you with that if you let them. The little bit of money you’re spending for a background check and/or a class is no more than what a security guard would pay for a security clearance or his uniform to start his security job. And if you don’t pay that fee, you can kiss that job goodbye too. Please, people spend more than $200 on junk that will never appreciate.
I’ll leave you with this; scams get people put in jail. Ask yourself this, why isn’t your upline in jail or better yet, the other leaders? Just make sure that the people that are telling you that this is a scam and guarantee you that it won’t be a good resource for you, are providing you with an alternative that will. Make sure they are prepared to pay your bills or at least help you because you can’t pay your bills with their opinion, you can pay your bills with money. Can you go into work tomorrow and ask your boss for a raise, or for the extra $500 you’ll need to pay on your bills, because you got behind last month putting tires on your car?

In 2008, I became a client with Primerica. I have a degree in Business Admin & Accounting. I also held an investment license prior to sitting down with their representative. I say all of that to say this, the company is in a highly regulated industry and the representatives must maintain a license just like any other investment company or insurance company in order to sit down with you. It is silly for anyone to call the company a scam because it is easily verifiable by checking with the actual legal entities that govern it.
This ConsumerAffairs site ratings appear to be mostly disgruntled individuals who saw the opportunity to become a 1099 contracted agent (the same way you can work with any other insurance or investment company), and were not successful. It is an opportunity to build your own client base within an agency with the opportunity for ownership. If you go on to primericabusinessopportunity.com everything is fully explained and verifiable. Feel free to check with the insurance commissioner or the securities and exchange commission to affirm the validity of Primerica. I believe you will be pleasantly surprised.
I became a client first, and then shortly thereafter I saw huge value in getting all of my licenses and working with them on a part-time basis. It is a fact, if you don’t work then you won’t make money, but if you work then the potential for financial gain is extremely rewarding. I feel bad for the people that have given such negative reviews because clearly they did not experience Primerica in a way the company is actually designed. The company actually has A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. I just believe people should dig a little deeper into a company before accepting disgruntled comments as facts. For that matter, do the same with a five-star rating... check it out and verify it for yourself.

I have been a Primerica client for 9 years. When I started I was a restaurant manager only making 30k a year with a wife and 3 kids. When I first met with them they did my analysis and showed me what amount of money I would need to retire and how much life insurance I need. As a lower middle-class person I had never had anyone take time to show me what I could do to get the proper plan for my family. After this meeting and getting my finances started I asked if there was a way to do the same thing. Of course they were thrilled to have a new recruit.
I paid my 100 bucks and started studying. I was licensed in 2 weeks and by the end of my first month had 3 clients and 500 bucks in my pocket. That is not the story of everyone but it was mine. 6 months later I quit my job and went full time with PFS. I was only 25 and really wasn't ready but I wanted the shot. It's now 9 years later. I don't work there anymore but they paid for all my licensed and education and now I make more than 6 figures working in finance without a degree.
Without Primerica I would still be making 30k a year as a restaurant manager and hating my life. Primerica showed me how to get out of debt, save my money, and change the lives of people around me. At the end of the day, the absolute WORST thing that can happen to someone who actually tried Primerica: they get an education in finance and a professional designation for their resume.

I watched as two friends I knew very well joined Primerica and went from making peanuts to both of them becoming multi-millionaires by helping other people. I cannot even fathom the heartache of delivering a check upon a death claim and seeing heartbroken families in desperate need of those finances, yet these two friends have helped countless thousands of people. One has been in this business for 26 years, the other for 10 and they're both doing so well financially by helping others. They own multiple properties in several states.
I joined with my husband at the beginning of 2018. In two months, by helping people we know with their life insurance and investment needs, we've already made around $10,000. I believe in this company so much because they do what is right for the client. They don't just sell life insurance, they do investments, mortgages, home and auto insurance, health insurance, debt reduction plans, smart home automation systems, identity theft protection and legal protection programs, etc. They care about people and I stand behind that.
There are always a few bad apples in every orchard. I've dealt with people who are completely inept at their jobs in every area of business. Some people are genuinely bad people who care only about themselves. Unfortunately, although they can pass a comprehensive background check you can't discriminate against people being jerks or idiots. Some people are desperate for change and lack the people skills and common sense needed to get them from point A to point B the right way. Some people are money-hungry, greed-motivated people. Some people just have rotten character. Okay, so, be realistic. Don't deal with those people. Just because one person was a ** doesn't mean the entire company is run by morons.
I personally know several very affluent people within the company and I also know many who are just starting out and haven't achieved any real greatness in Primerica. Some people work at this for decades half-heartedly and then complain they have no real results. Others become a millionaire in less than a decade, like my very close friend, and they do it by putting 100% into helping people on the client and recruiting side of the business.
Yes, it's an MLM, get over it. Yes, the people who work and stick with it rise to the top and make more than the people coming in. GET OVER IT. It's that way with Microsoft, Apple, Google, etc. - there is ALWAYS a top level person making more than all the rest; here it is not one single person, it is ANYONE willing to stick it out and keep working until they achieve that level.

The premium is $362.82 quarterly which has been WAIVED for the last 13 yrs.
At 65 yrs. his current health status would disqualify him from life ins. Know what you're buying and prepare for the unexpected as he did and you'll end up very satisfied, as we are! We have never had a problem with this company continuing to cover him or with enforcing the Disability Rider! Have absolutely NO complaints with this company or their service. I do wish though, that we could cash this policy out before my husband's death, without paying tax on it. My former husband and I were estranged and she said we would be getting a divorce and everything would be divided 50/50. We didn't get divorced till 2015. This transaction happened in 2006.
Meanwhile I was personally responsible to pay the holding company's income tax as this was the whole amount the company held. The investment was held in both our names but I had to pay for it. The Primerica culture may be aggressive however her tactics, one of which included accompanying my mother to the bank to obtain a cashier's check from the proceeds of her condo sale, were totally inappropriate. All of this and more occurred unbeknownst to the rest of the family. In addition, there was no benefit to 1035 her current annuities except for the sake of commissions. As a result she lost her lifetime benefits.
Once my mother expressed her desire to take advantage of her Look Back, Dorana obfuscated the situation. I made in him and his business. As a spouse to anyone considering this business, don't do it. It really is cultish and surreal. I signed up for Primerica when I started teaching for a public school system. They were one of the available companies to open the employer provided 403B retirement program through. While working for the school, the funds were deposited directly and there was no issue. In leaving the public school and going to the private industry, I found out my account was performing much lower than the available investment plans and decided to rollover the account to my current employers' IRA plan. Upon contacting Primerica they had absolutely no interest to help me close my account. First they said it could not be rolled over because they were different programs. When I contacted my employer's investment company, they explained to me how to do it and not lose taxes, penalties, etc. They set up the IRA to receive the rollover and provided the information to provide to Primerica to make the transfer.
I then called Primerica back and gave this information to my account rep, who then informed me that Primerica cannot close the account, it has to be requested directly from the other investment firm. When I called my firm back, they said that was not usual, but they would be happy to do so; what forms was Primerica expecting? So calling back to Primerica, I was informed that Primerica does not send out forms; they only receive them. They did not have an example of a form or letter that was acceptable and could not provide me any guidance on what should be in the request for rollover.
I was then also informed that my 403B has a 3rd party administrator that would have to approve the rollover as well. When I asked for this person's contact information, they claimed they did not have it or know it. When I asked them how they could get the 3rd party approval without knowing who to ask, they said they only had a private fax number they couldn't share. So I then contacted my former employer and found out the name of the 3rd party company.
My new investment company wrote a letter requesting the rollover, providing the reason and all the information for the new account, address for the check and their contact information. I sent a copy of this letter to the 3rd party company and Primerica. The 3rd party company responded within hours acknowledging the request and requesting the rollover paperwork from Primerica to proceed. Several weeks later I received by mail a rejection letter from Primerica stating they needed a letter from the 3rd party admin, with original signatures authorizing the rollover, they also needed a letter from me with original signatures requesting the rollover and why, and a letter from the new investment company with the information required for the new account (which was already provided).
It is important to note that while the account was being set up and as funds were added, etc. Primerica was very easy to call me on my phone, send an email, etc. It is only upon learning I am trying to close an account that all of a sudden I can only communicate via snail mail. Even the rejection letter does not include email or direct phone numbers. It is clear to me that Primerica will continue to run me around and hold my account. I can only imagine the horrors I would have run into had I actually reached retirement age with the investment firm. I wish I had never begun business with them and I will tell anyone to find any other company.

I find it funny how the bad reviews on here all sum up to the same excuse “I sign up looking for a job”. First of all this isn’t a job. This a business opportunity for people that seek to make extra income AND a full on business career. But too many people have an employee mindset and are used to living this microwave life looking to make a quick buck. I myself am a company owner and I decided to join the business to educate myself more on finances without having to go to school and spend thousands of dollars yet still not have anything guaranteed after graduation.
I’ve had my business running for over 5 years and even so I see a lot more growth in Primerica doing very little investing with an unlimited profit growth. Some people refute our product. Product that we all need, yet those people don’t see value in it only to later suffer financial problems or a lost of a love one and depend on car washes and GoFundMe accounts.
It’s the very same people that don’t do anything with their life and settle for the crumbs in life that give bad reviews because they have no vision and they just don’t believe in themselves to have a better life. I speak from the heart and can honestly say this business has helped and protected my life and the lives on my family and friends and because I was able to share the knowledge I’ve acquired in this company they will no longer ever have to worry about money problems in their entire life.

There are a lot of complaints on here but let's look at this from a business mindset. Bad people exist everywhere, and bad people have to work. No company goes looking for bad people, they come and go through different companies. I have had a horrible experience at Mcdonald's. I have had a great experience there too. I hope everyone can agree there will be good and bad people in every business that exists because we all have to work to live.
As a company Primerica has been nothing but blessings for my family. Now when you join you will pay a small one time fee for the background check. As an added benefit they provide you the education tools for free to help you get your license. You are joining a business, as a business there is typically expenses. If you decide not to go through with not pursuing your license that is perfectly fine but you are not entitled to a full refund. You are entitled to a partial refund. The money goes to the department of financial services in order to do the background check. The money has now been paid to a federal entity to do this background check service. All Primerica did is act a deliverer. They are not required to take a loss because you decided to go back on your word. There is also instructions on the official email address you need to send an email to in order to have the partial refund processed.
Yes there is a 25 dollar fee month for the access to all of the business tools you are given. If you were to pay for the business tools out of pocket as an individual you would be looking at over 4000 dollars a year. Do research on having full Morningstar access as a private consumer and you will see what I mean. This company delivers everything they have promised, and they deal with people all day long that get excited in the meeting, but then go back on their word once signing up. If they spend all of their time trying to cancel everyone out they would not have time to go make money and train others. That is also why the headquarter phone number is on the paperwork that you sign, and if you sign electronically it is instantly emailed to you. They have over 1500 salary paid employees in Ga waiting to take these types of calls so you are not bothering the agents that are trying to help families that need help.
Primerica from a product standpoint is the only company that does what is right. They only sell the products that help people. There are many horrible products in the industry designed to hurt people. Primerica is focused on exposing them and getting people in the right kind of life insurance and the right investments. If your investments are in a life insurance product you have wasted your money. You should only have level term life insurance. If you have anything else you are wrong. If you think I am wrong just keep waiting 'till it's too late.
On the investment standpoint a lot of people are getting hurt going to banks for savings accounts, and cd's or very low rate of returns on bank ira's. The stock market average is 12 percent, and inflation is 3-5 percent. It is not hard to get 10-12 percent as your average when you go with an investment company for mutual funds. Primerica provides you the ability to get into funds that you would not be able to get into with the small amount the average person has to start with. An example of this I can get into a fund for 25 dollars where if I were to go to the investment company directly the minimum would be 1000. I am a part of the opportunity, I make good money working the opportunity and there are months I make as little as 50 dollars. Why do I make so little some months, that is because I made a decision to do absolutely nothing that month. I wanted to be lazy. I got paid for being lazy.
If you are not going to listen to the coaches do not waste your time. The coaches are awesome, but they are not going to listen to you tell them that you think your way is better. They are a coach for a reason they are making money and the system way is working. If your way was better than you should have founded the company yourself. Understand this is a business you have to put skin in the game. If you have an issue don't do it. This is the best financial company out there and I would advise even if you are not looking for a business opportunity to get a hold of a rep, because they can truly change your life for the better just for sitting with you.

During my 21 year marriage, Primerica was our financial 'advisor'. My husband at the time, did majority of the dealing with them. After my divorce in 2016, the 'advisor' failed to fully 'advise' me. The company said that because they used terminology that is typical and standard they are cleared of any liability. I depended on this 'advisor' to be straightforward but I was betrayed. I should have been advised of other options but I was not. I am a retired nurse and when I spoke with patients I used terminology they could relate to not medical terminology that would not be clear of even make them more confused. I received half of my ex's IRA funds at the divorce.
I told my 'advisor' I would eventually want to purchase a home where I had relocated. I asked for the money to be put where I could use some of it for this purchase. When I found a house to buy, about 5 months later, I asked for the money. I was told, according to my 'advisor' 'that the distribution from the IRA may be subject to tax consequences.' Again, terminology that I fully did not grasp the meaning of. I filed my 2017 taxes and due to this withdrawal to buy my house, I now owe the IRS a HUGE amount. I went to my new ADVISOR in the area I relocated in and spoke with her about how to pay this bill to the IRS.
She immediately suggested that I take out a bank loan and not use the money in my Roth IRA, because it would be the wiser thing to do. She explained the process and reasons so I could understand- THAT WAS ADVISE!!! Not just saying 'the distribution may be subject to tax consequences'. I have talked with this company numerous times and they refuse to see my viewpoint and do not take any responsibility. Due to the omission of advice, they are responsible for the taxes I have to pay on this withdrawal. I would have been glad and very able to make a loan but was NEVER advised that this would be a wiser way, when I initially bought my home. I was betrayed!!!

This company is a scam. I signed up with Primerica for employment and they took out $125.00 for me to get my health insurance license. I knew something wasn't right about this company so I decided not to go. When I asked for my money back since I did not go to class they kept giving me the run around trying to make me stay with this company and I decided that I did not want to. Their customer service is horrible and they do not follow their own contract. The contract states if I pay my money to get license and do not go I am entitled to my full refund if I have not reached my 30 days. I have not reached my 30 days and they still will not give me my money. I think what they're trying to do is continue to give me the run around until my 30 days is up so they do not have to give me my money back.
The only way you can make money with this company is if you bring in more people. If you do not bring people on board you do not make any money. They make you go to this meetings every week for long hours (7pm - 12am) of lectures that are rehearsed. The reason why I say they are rehearsed because they say the same thing every week, to the point I already knew what they was going to say next. They have mandatory phone meetings on Sundays starting at like 9:30 pm - 12 am; but they normally don't tell you about these meetings until after 9 pm smh. They talk a good game about how you can make all this money but the truth is you spend a lot of time and money with them but you don't make anything.
Now they're taking $25 more dollars out of my account and steady taking money out. I tried reaching out to them multiple times trying to get out of this and get them to stop taking money out my account. They said they would but just straight up lied. This is the worst company to want to work for. I would not recommend anyone to work here. All I'm going to say is do your research and pay close attention to detail before signing anything with this company.

Single-handedly ruined my church. Our church was the best. Amazing friendliest people filled with life groups and family get together. We went to everything and promoted it to everyone. All of our friends then went there too. Then this scheme entered some people's lives and it was everywhere - people started leaving and it was corrupting the church. Everything was about finances. Every single life group was about finances! People would say they thought they were only being approached as a possible life insurance buyer or client and when they said no they weren't of any concern to them anymore AT CHURCH. When you have to offer the product you are selling to friends family and church faces it's a scheme!

They have been charging me 28$ a month for the last year and I only realized it now. I don't remember anyone saying it would charge me a monthly fee to "work" for them and I can't find an email copy of the contract they claimed to have sent me! So I called to cancel this charge and get my money back. I spoke to 2 separate agents and they were absolutely ignorant from the start! And their managers apparently do not talk to customers, I managed to get a one month refund, but I'm still out over 300$. I wouldn't recommend this "organization" to anyone.

Okay so I tried to get a job there, They made me sign some documents and I had to pay $145 to get a background check. Jobs do not make you pay for the job. It seemed like a good offer because they were going to pay for my financial licence and books and schools so I could get a license in insurance. The place was so unorganized, like people come in when they want to, at first it sounds nice but it's not if you need someone. Next I paid the money but then there were these mandatory meeting which were **. Even a mandatory call conference on Sunday at 11 pm, it was ** because it was just me listening to this guy's prep speech, like it's late. I don't care about your motivational speech when I'm trying to sleep. So I never got my licence and quit before I even got 2 hours in. So I didn't ask for my money back because that was my fault, like I didn't get the license because I quit before the training for the license even began.
SO I was fine. I wasn't angry. It was whatever. The reason I quit was because it was a 45 day training period without pay and I just couldn't go that long without pay, while they were messing with my Sunday night sleep schedule. But then I checked my debit card, and they took $25 from me about 3 weeks after I quit, that might not sound like a lot but it was to me since I have no job, Like I quit. I told them that I quit. I didn't ask for my $145 back like leave me alone, stop taking my money, and wasting my time, at first I thought all the bad reviews were just from people who were just angry or whatever but it's true.
OMG, I wish I could give them a negative star, all of the good reviews are from employees and I can tell because it sounds just like the sales pitch and the ** meetings all over again, but whatever. I shouldn't make that claim. It might not be from past employees (honestly I just don't want to get sued for saying it) but it does sound like them. Just saying.

(Hopefully, I have caught your eye with the infamous, high-rated (but fully saturated in negativity) review tactic...) Well now, how shall I begin? Initially, an individual named Andrew called me from "PFS" (sounded more like PSS) asking me if I wanted to pursue a career in financing, etc. However, stated that I needed no previous experience (strange?). That everything will be provided to me on the job (how fortunate). Afternoon getting in touch by phone, Andrew anxiously me to come in (sooner than later and at my inconvenience). Okay, I thought, welcome to the job world (I guess?).
When he gave me the address (which was a little incorrect) I finally came to a building that has several suites/offices. As confused as I was after walking into the building, I asked two people if they knew where the "PFS" room was (both of whom were clueless). Fair enough, maybe everyone keeps to themselves in this building. Upon a 10 minute search, I find the door with the suite number but it had the name "Primerica" on it.
Upon entry, the suite was not too big, but had about 8-9 people walking around with about a total of 4 individual offices. Strange to have so many people and a small number of office space. The desk lady asked me my name and to whom I wanted to meet with. I said Andrew and she walked around and saw him on the phone. Politely told me to wait.
Then Andrew said hello, shook my hand and said give him a minute. Okay, I'm on time to an "interview" and am waiting for over 10 minutes, but there seemed to be no one what waiting/in an interview currently (kinda strange, but I didn't think much of it). When he walked away after telling me to wait, they gave me a generic sheet to fill out the same information that he supposedly saw on my résumé. Personally, I didn't think that is professional, but it kind of led me on that this is an unorganized company.
Moving into the "interview," it didn't seem that I was trying to get the job but instead trying to be coerced into a job. He first started off with the company's mission and asked, "Do you think this is a strong mission statement?" I answered, "I suppose, it contains all the desires of your company. So, I assume it can be considered a strong mission statement."
Moving on he started giving me statistics about the percentage of Americans who are in debt, living paycheck to paycheck, who have no will/life insurance, etc. Okay. Then he went on to tell me all the companies that his company "Primerica" (never mentioned "PFS" again) is involved with and that they are well-recognized on the NYSE (The New York Stock Exchange) and have all these insurance companies asking them for assistance to distribute. At this point, it seems that he's trying to sell me the validity of his company.
We then move on to the purpose of the company and at first, I thought it was quite thoughtful because they aim to work with families to increase their savings percentages, help them to save, give them a life insurance in case of an emergency, etc. However, as he spoke I thought to myself about how this little company (whom he says doesn't do advertisements #WordOfMouth) is able to give people up to 12% on their savings accounts if they are not a bank themselves. We move on to a representation of a house in which he asks where its foundation would be. I answered the bottom with which he then splits the house into five pieces. With the foundation being life insurance.
It was kind of confusing that he stressed life insurance in what he was saying. Then he talked about how to make six figures as others in the company are making. Also, how I had the ability to make $250-500 (presumably every two weeks) by just working alongside them. (Seems unreal for me to make money by just watching what you guys do.)
On top of that, he goes into the pinnacle of the pitch and tells me that before I can work with them that I'll have to get licensed. The company will pay for me but all I have to pay is $99 for the application fee and $24 for the POL service fee. He suggested that I'd want to get the POL service, unless I want to carry paper around with me all day (okay?). He then "tried" to reassure me that the company will reimburse me what I spent with up to $300 dollars after I get my five licenses. (So why would I need to spend money, if you're gonna give it back to - two-fold?) He also told me that if this wasn't for me that I can get my $25 refund for the POL service and $69 dollars back from the application fee, because $30 dollars goes to the state to do a background check on me (or maybe to his bank account for commission).
*** If you were as foolish as I was and fell for the charade, you have 24 hours to cancel and get FULL refund. Don't listen to the lies. I asked the guy how to go about getting my refund and he said we have to send a letter to the company on Monday. (Mind you I paid Thursday and Friday is still a business day.) ASK FOR A PROOF OF CANCELATION, EITHER A REFERENCE NUMBER AND/OR EMAIL (hopefully both of which are factual).
Initially, I wasn't trying to be negative about allowing new opportunities to take place in my life, but this tactic smelled just like the fishy multi-level company (pyramid scheme) Amway. I mentioned Amway and he claimed he had no idea who or what they were (okay -_-). Afterward, I skeptically paid, but severely regretted it and contacted Andrew telling him that this isn't for me and I'm getting a bad instinct from this. All he said was, "okay".
While talking to him, he seemed pretty mechanical and seemed to be carrying out a ploy. He made it clear that he would teach me how to give presentations like this to prospective members and made sure to show me off as a new addition to the team (but more like an addition to his uplink/tree). One thing that was strange was that he asked for three references. As I wrote them down he seemed a bit antsy. I gave him two instructors that I had and an acolyte. He then says to me, "I'm pretty sure they all will say good things about you, but do you have someone more personal - like a friend."
I pondered and thought why would you want friends instead of people who know my work ethic. And it seems that they'll do some calling off their own and try to call your friends to come in as "your references" to help work for them. Overall, this company seems to have a pretty humble stance on helping people, but their means of becoming rich (if it is even possible) is flawed and self-centered. Even though it's great to own your own business, it's even better not to be someone else's pawn.

Well at the surface I believe Primerica has good intentions they are really shady. What the offer in terms of life insurance and savings is great but their business model is flawed. For one they try and claim to be on the doorstep of an amazing breakthrough that is set to become the next Facebook, Google, or Apple. That doesn’t add up since they got started in 1977 which is nearly 40 years ago. We all know FB, Google, and Apple were major success almost overnight and anyone and everyone knows who and what they are, large parts of America still wouldn’t know what Primerica is without someone explaining it to them. Two, if they were as great as they say you would be able to use the Primerica name alone to sell insurance to people, just like if someone were to say I have a position for you at Google or Apple where you can potential make millions they wouldn’t hesitate.
However, Primerica has a bad rep and they earn it. They're pushy most of the time insensitive and do whatever it takes to get you involved with their business. If Primerica was actually as awesome as they try and make themselves out to be then their name would speak for itself especially after 40 years. They tell you when you're selling and trying to get sales reps under you that it’s not sales and to not tell people that it’s for OR that you're with Primerica. That alone is shady and proves that they need to work on their image and name credibility more than anything else. I have been approached three different times to be a part of this business and each time I have turned it down. You say things to their reps and literally see them the next day and they don’t remember things you said.
While that can be a personal problem the larger overarching problem is that it shows that they're not paying attention 'cause they only care about the bottom line which is money. I think Primerica is great in terms of what they sell. Their life insurance is pretty awesome but their approach to business and sales is not healthy. They would be better off becoming a more traditional company like a bank than sending people through the ringer in a very similar fashion that Pyramid schemes do. If you want to be sales don’t care about losing friends and you have zero other passions than just making money and helping other people do okay in life savings then so be it. It’s for you. It is not for people that spent years in school for whatever their passion is that want to have a career in their area of study. Go do you went to school for. Don’t get roped into something that isn’t for you because of the shiny penny on the other side.

Your license is through the State of Florida, nothing FAKE about that, they provide your course study material and so much more. I would not say that it is not hard, it is surely a hump over the road in getting where you want to be at as far as a financial comfort zone. The process is totally up to you and the effort of getting there depends on the how much you put into it.
I have read reviews on how bad other companies are, and at the end of the day, no one is perfect or most will never be completely satisfied. Most of us shop at stores that we promised we would never shop in again, but end up there anyway because it has what you need, located near you or when no other stores supply the merchandise that you are in need of. I will not be doing business with Primerica ever again. Apparently after reading reviews they do whatever is possible not to pay out... Just to let anyone out there that is thinking of purchasing Life Insurance from Primerica - they are not completely truthful - bought a policy 15 years ago (for 20 year term) and signed on with tiered levels - at 10 years and 15 years, part of the coverage would drop off as I would not need as much and the premium would drop accordingly. I decided to keep the 10 year tier (5 years ago) and my premium went up $5/month, did not think much about it. What they did not say was that the premium would be recalculated at the current day rate instead of staying the same.
This year the 15 year tier was up for cancellation so I decided to drop off both tier 10 and 15 for $79,000. My premium did not go down the $20 I was told and is now $101/per month instead of the $85/month. Do not buy if it is tiered!!! Your premium may stay the same or increase instead of decreasing with less coverage!!! My original policy was for $500,000 for $106/month. We were led to believe that once the swab was taken we were insured but that was incorrect because supposedly he failed is what the agent is saying but Primerica is saying they never received it.
I'm complaining because I called two years ago and was told by the agent that we were fine everything was good and now my husband is dead and I am broke with three small children. I have contacted them and they keep sending me the same paper that we signed about his pending saliva swab, it is ridiculous and now I have to hire a lawyer because I am getting nowhere and my agent won't even help me.

My husband passed away, leaving an almost drained Primerica mutual fund. It had $139 in it and being the executor, all I wanted to do was close the account. I met with a "vice president" of my area at my local bank to take care of this process. He failed to get the proper paperwork from me while he had access to certified copies, notaries and all the correct documentation. Therefore, I got a rejection letter from Primerica, saying I needed to send more documentation. I contacted the vice president for assistance.
He met with me at my house and just tried to sell me his wonderful products that I had never heard of. I sent him packing since I realized he had withheld information at the bank in order to meet with me again just to pitch a sale to me. So, after I sent more documentation, expecting this to go smoothly (we are only talking $139 here), I got yet another letter asking for more documentation. I quit. I spent time and money on postage that I will never get back, but at least I don't have to see the name Primerica again.

I was introduced by a lady in my church and deciding that I want to take the life insurance and do the investment as well, next thing I know they invited me to a meeting. I went to the meeting listened all about how they make a $100000 a year and so on. At the end of the meeting the guy sending out an application for us to put our account # so we can start working with the company. I didn't fill out the application. I took it. Went home with it. The next day those Primerica people went to my account. Withdrawn money from my account as if I signed the application. I believe it's a scam because I never sign the application or filled anything out.

I am still recovering from what happened today. I had an interview today. Not really even know what it was for. I was stupid in a way not telling from their job ad what this was really about. I was told to come in and ask for a woman whose name I will not disclose here. There was a woman in the front who I found out was the lady I was supposedly meeting with! She didn't even introduce herself once I told her who I was. Bizarre and unprofessional.. I met with a man (not even sure what his name was). He pulls me into the room for our "interview". He asks me what I do for a living. He then starts bashing what I do for a living very lightly. He starts asking me what my dream house and dream car are. Again, I should have known right off something was very shady. I gave him some answers after feeling under extreme pressure. He then gets a catalog and begins explaining to me about investments and life insurance.
So there you go. I am going to be selling insurance products to people. I'm assuming they are cold calls or whatever. Here's the worst part. He then asks me for 10 people names and numbers!!! I can see right through the **!! He wants to get sales of course! Scumbag. I give him one name and number and then I finally tell him "look, I'm not interested in this. Have a good day, goodbye. Oh, and don't call her please." He tells me to not call back. "Trust me pal, I won't." The other thing that bothers me is they have my information which I know legally they can't do anything with. I'm sure their products work for some people who are looking into retirement or investing or something. I am begging job seekers, please be careful. That is all.

The reason a lot of people don't succeed in Primerica is because of work ethic. I worked Primerica starting part-time and in my second year, I earned $70,000 in income working part-time and still working a full-time police job. I then left the police department and took a promotion to Regional Vice President and run my own office in Pennsylvania. I am on track to cross over $100,000 in rolling 12 month income next month. So Primerica changed my life. I paid my $99 and my $25 to come on board to cover all of my financial licenses.
What a great investment to make that kind of money. It makes me laugh that people think Primerica is a scam when they have A+ ratings with Better Business Bureau, AM Best, publicly traded on the NYSE, and have been rated one of the most trustworthy financial companies by Forbes Magazine. Consider who has more credibility, someone who never did anything in the business or the above sources. If you are motivated and have a work ethic, you definitely can win in Primerica!

Passed my life insurance test in 4 days, yes they paid for it. Made $3,446 my first month, did not recruit one person. Was on business trips for my job for most of my second month with the exception of the last week of the month, wasn't able to do any sales but recruited 5 people, did not make a dime--proof that the $124 doesn't go to pay the recruiter or anyone else. 3rd month made almost $1,000 just in overrides from my team's sales (this does not include my personal sales income). My aunt, who is a new real estate broker, made $2,663 from the overrides on the sales of her team--proof that the Primerica business model works just like a real estate broker but FROM DAY ONE. My cousin joined and quit, got a refund. Proof that the $124 is refundable and that we want people who want to be here, it does us no good to recruit a quitter.
Wife and I have both since left our jobs and are working Primerica full time now getting ready to open our own office with a team of 50+ agents poised to do the same. Being an Engineer, research is your life and doing good, credible research is bred into you. As an Engineer, if you don't do that kind of research, bridges collapse, buildings topple, people die. I applied that same trait to my research of Primerica. The more you research this company the more truth you see. Good, positive, truth. That aside, fact is that my wife and I would never own our jobs and we would be working for someone else for life. Why do we want to own everything else in life but not our income? We work 30+ years while paying off our house and we can sell our house, can't sell our jobs. That makes no sense. That is not for me, nor my wife, nor my kids.
There is no risk with Primerica. It is SO simple and RISK FREE to own what you do here and you do it helping people who would otherwise be overlooked by the industry and struggling in the future. Most of the negative comments about Primerica online are related to someone not liking their trainer or RVP, yet somehow they chose to get involved with them in the first place and it's the trainer's our RVP's fault somehow. Or they had an issue with the $124, which if you didn't get your refund, your fault, also if $124 is a lot of money for you then there is something very wrong with the choices you've made to date and you shouldn't have quit but rather learned something about finances at least. But hey, quitters always quit everything don't they? Or someone realized that like any business, it takes hard work.
And also like any business you want everyone to know what you do, like what you do, and support what you do ESPECIALLY FAMILY, and somehow they've conveniently misconstrued this as some sort of red flag in an attempt to discredit the company and alleviate the painful truth that they themselves were the reason it didn't work out. Or someone didn't like the idea of someone brand new talking about finances, yet they fail to realize that the principles taught are very fundamental (how would Primerica do any business if it were rocket science and clients couldn't understand) and there is always someone in the office experienced and qualified (legally mind you) to go with a brand new person and discuss anything needed with anyone.
Beware of negative comments. Primerica is rated 2.6 stars on this site. Go look at Microsoft, Apple, Nike, HP, Samsung, Dell, Toyota. 7 of the most popular names in business, all with worse ratings than Primerica. But how much do you love your iPhone, Shox, or Camry? Get the point? Primerica is an amazing company with amazing products and even more amazing business opportunity.

I'm really confused by the reviews. All the reviews, says nothing about why they feel it's a scam. All the reviews I read, was they're a scam because the rep was a jerk, or their trainer was insincere. What does that have to do with company itself? I haven't read a review by someone that was a client of Primerica, and their services did not deliver. They told you they had this, but it was really this. I was approached by a recruiter. I listened to what he had to say, and I asked question. Clarification questions. I use to sell AFLAC (which was fricking amazing), so I understood how it worked a little.
What I do know, it doesn't matter how many times you tell someone something, they will hear what they want to hear. Even the young lady who had the problem with her fees. That's a question I asked up front. The $124 is for the background check, the class, and the test for your license. I was surprised they refunded anything. Normally a 2 day class for life and annuities is $200+, and the test is about $150. Them charging $124 is awesome. Haven't decided if this is something I want to do yet, but I don't think it's a scam.

So I got recruited inside the market, it's so funny to read all the reviews of the complainers that never got licensed or got a first "No" and decided, this is a scam... LOL. (So they stay broke and keep living pay check to pay check... Making someone else's dream come true. That's what you do when you are an employee). My question to reader is this, if Primerica is a scam/pyramids scheme, then how is it legal for a Los Angeles Police Officer to Join and work in building a company with Primerica. Want to know the answer, BECAUSE PRIMERICA IS NOT A SCAM. I served in the U.S. Marines for several years and even put my life in the line for many Americans who now enjoy their freedom (completed a tour in Iraq). I've also work in the finest Police agency that exist in the world LAPD.
But since I'm a climber and always take advantage of GREAT opportunities, I joined PRIMERICA few years back (5yrs). I'm still in the game and have learned, thanks to PRIMERICA and the extra income I bring home, I've learn many money rules that now have me debt free and with good savings and on track with an awesome retirement. PRIMERICA is really teaching middle income families outstanding money rules that no one else is doing. BUT for ME the best is the opportunity to leave my full time career to build my own business (you can stay at your job and be broke. I chose to change my security for freedom cause I fought for it... Lol).
The truth is you can join PRIMERICA and make some part-time income or you can choose to build a business. BUT if you are a quitter, you probably will quit at anything you do. (and you would probably experience divorce too because that's what quitters do instead of learning how to change and be better.) You can learn a new business which requires change in a person or simply stay stuck at your JOB and keep complaining. I love this business and will continue to grow it! GOD bless you! Go to school, get a "GOOD JOB" and retired broke and continue working another job after your retire at age 70 like many others... Or build a business and be FREE. It's the land of opportunities but only to those who take advantage of it. Winners keep trying until they Succeed, Losers complain! And complain! And complain more... It's your choice! YOU CAN ONLY FAIL IF YOU STOP TRYING!

Walks into my business that I own, says I look very nice, says love the color of my shirt! Ok wow thought this guy is being sincere. Looks at his shirt and notice it says PRIMERICA. After he makes his $1 soda purchase says "Hey we need people like you. How about I show you how to invest and make money," talks down on me like I'm poor or something or uneducated. No thanks, I own this property and I'm doing well.
Then says, "you're wasting your time and investment into this". WOW really? You're telling an owner of a multimillion property that consistently gets hundred of customers a day that the owner is wasting his time? Then ask me I need life insurance before asking me if I have one. No thanks I have one already and I have multiple policies both convertible & whole terms already and it's New York Life and they have a high reputation. Then tells me NYL is bad and they charge a lot of hidden fees, and take your money. No they don't, my dad passed away, he had NYL and NYL was 100% honorable to their policies' terms of what my dad signed up for.
What a imbecile loser this PRIMERICA rep is. Don't know crap and already bashing on other companies' policies. Real skill if you want people to come to you they go looking for you, they know you thru your rep they dont need to hear you bash other companies so you can gain. That's the real **. Then tells me to "TRY TO HAVE A NICE DAY," like he thinks I'm having a bad day. Gets my number cause I feel sorry for him and ask me if can he come to by the station and go over with me how to invest. I said "no, I'm doing fine." Leaves the store and says I'm putting my money to waste. EPIC FAIL of class, integrity, and I'm sick of these people. Drives away in a $15,000 Kia next to our 100k Porsche and says I need to invest.
What a joke, is that how you guys get people to join your cult? Lack of respect, class, and think y'all know it all. IN LIFE what you put in it is what you get out of it. HARD works pays off. There are no shortcuts in life. Be a owner, learn a trade, or go work for high pay. None of this recruiting crap, pyramid crap. Oh yea and I read all the reviews online of PRIMERICA seems like a lot of customer complaining about how you guys are not paying off the life insurance to the families that sign up for your PRIMERICA life policy. Why is that??? JOKE.
By the way I am a former member of PRIMERICA. I joined it back when I was in a college and I did worked full time dedicated to it to give it a try. It's a joke, a scam, and your success depends on recruiting others and they have a lot of empty promises. Everyone that I knew that signed up or once did it no longer does it today, and they went out and got real jobs, real skill, EDUCATION or went to own their own business.

I've read many negative reviews about Primerica and most of them are disgruntled about the same thing. The $99 background check fee and the reoccurring $25 for access to the tools to run your business. Even if the agent didn't fully explain it in a way you could understand, it is in the application twice. So these people are definitely not reading before they sign because it states it in big letters about the fees and the frequency. There are not many businesses out there that you can start for only $124. The reoccurring $25 is not mandatory. It's nice to have though. Because you can keep track of your clients and their policies. If you decide to recruit (also not mandatory) and build a team it helps to keep track of them and their progress. It's also the tools we use to do our life and health insurance and investment applications if licensed in those areas.
Access to our partner sites, our complimentary Financial Needs Analysis tool, free website, company email. Additional product training, access to the free Securities License training course and videos, and so much more that I can't even think of them all. So well worth the $25 a month which by the way can be deducted out of your commissions instead of your bank account once licensed. But again it's not mandatory, but very, very helpful to run your business unless you want to do everything on paper which is fine, but takes a lot longer to process and get paid. Each office is independently own and run different, but I know they all do weekly trainings and would've gotten a lot more information by attending them and asking questions, instead of asking a friend or family member who knows nothing about our company.
This business is definitely not for everyone especially if they do not understand the concept of leveraging your time by building a team and being part of a modified brokerage system. Everyone seems to be hung up on the recruiting aspect which is not mandatory, but if you're trying to become financially independent quicker it would help. Other insurance agencies recruit, but the overrides go directly to the General Agent. In our company every person who recruits someone is the General Agent of their business. We do not get paid to recruit people, we don't take any money from our teammates earnings, we are paid from the company's earnings.
Companies hire recruiters to find people to work for them, the military has recruiters, and they are not considered MLMs. Real Estate brokers have agents who work under them but are not considered MLMs. Just because our business model is a little different from other insurance agencies does not make our company a scam or an MLM. We are out to help everyone get ahead and make money, and not just the General Agent. We encourage everyone to open their own offices because we're are not in competition. Other insurance agencies are not going to help their agents start their own office because they will be losing income and creating competition.
As far as the timelines of getting a check when a loved one passes, that I cannot really speak on except that each case is different. If there are some questions regarding the cause of death and if the insured had the illness before getting the policy, the insurance company is going to investigate to make sure there was no misrepresentation going on, because people do tend to leave illness off their applications that sometimes are discovered later, and if the insurance company had originally known they would've been denied or premium increased. Unfortunately every company has slow and incompetent people, and it shouldn't reflect on the company as a whole.
I encourage you to do the same search and reviews on other insurance companies and you will see some similar issues and others that are much worse. I've read them and I'd rather work with and deal with Primerica over them anytime. NO company or person is perfect and it is naive to think that they will please every person 100% of the time.

I know this company isn't a scam, but it is a scheme. A clever one at that, but a scheme nonetheless. Look, for some people? Primerica may be good money for you, it may be your shot, it could be your claim to riches and glory, or the key to bigger money. But, ultimately it depends on how empty your head is. Listen, I've been around the block, and I know when people are being straight with me, I tried this company, I REALLY did. But ultimately what killed it for me was how annoying my leader was. She wasn't a bad person, but she had a quirk that I just simply could not stand. She was fake as ** when it came to delivering the idea that she was interested in you. Imagine you're talking to somebody about something, and at the beginning of the sentence they just laugh like it's supposed to be funny? Okay, one time is fine? But then you notice they are doing it to a point where its repetition becomes mechanical.
Look, I don't think my leader was a bad person, but her personality was so synthetic to the point where it became stressful for me to be around her. [Brainwashing] Okay, so... Look... Primerica prides itself on having the 2nd highest paid employees in America, and that's sweet and all, but there is a catch. First off, everyone needs to stick together, and the leaders keep everyone on a tight leash. Every week there are pow-wow sessions where they essentially circle jerk one another and shame people who have quit. Using terms like: "We're building a business!" so much so that I think I need a break from the word business. Always a story about somebody who quit: "If they don't care about building a business." Language is important, everyone there probably believes it too. One of the leaders even let it slip that "Primericans never lie." I'm not even gonna open that can of worms.
[Their Interests >Your interests] They call you every week or every two days, they don't take you seriously when you tell them things like you have exams and they WILL prioritize their interests over yours. I had a calculus exam on Monday, they invited me to this trip to the Pocono's, they INSISTED. I would have a place to study. No place to study, the penthouse we had was full, and we went to 8 hour pow-wows each day where we were expected to cheer and applaud and represent our squads. It was a daunting experience and I was honestly insulted by the misleading, I took it up with my leader, she just told me if I was going to study I would have studied.
I was not happy about that 1 bit. I already felt a certain type of way about her that was not good, this did not get her any points. Overall? Primerica is not a scam, but if you are a person with critical-thinking skills and options? You really should not touch this one. Primerica has its benefits, but it's for a certain type of person and that's just how it is. I did not have a particularly good experience with it, as they probably expected me get into the money and drop out of school. Not happening, I'm going to build MY business but I'm not going to build a (Primerica's) business.

I was approached months ago at my present job (I work in retail) by a gentleman. After casual conversation he asked if I was interested in making some extra money or knew someone who did. At the time I was busy so I said, "Not right now." He was very nice and said, "Give me your number and I'll keep in touch." Speed up to about 2 weeks ago he called me and explained who he was in a VM. Anyways I returned his call and told him "Yes I was looking for part-time work" and I went in for an interview at 11200 Westheimer Road Houston TX for an interview. He said Primerica was a financial company looking to help families get out of debt and financial independent. I told him "I don't know about financial advising." He said I will be fully trained etc.
The interview went well, I asked him if I would have to call up people, he said "no" because they work on referrals. I went back for a second interview the next day with I guess all the other applicants where we were given an overview of the company with debt statistics and how we can help as advisors. I then sat down with the head of the company who explained how the payment works but I first have to be licensed, and have a background check which is $99 and they are not allowed to pay it for me, and $25 to have access to the study tools so I can do my exam to be licensed. I went back then the following day to give my info to start this part time job.
I filled out paperwork which asked for references which I supplied with phone numbers, I was told that even though it's recommended to use the their online website only the first month $25 is compulsory because it's to gain access to study materials to get licensed. I was hesitant about the money but Chris ** my recruit assured me if I changed my mind after paying within 30 days I could be refunded my money so I went ahead and gave him my CC info on May 24th 2017. After going to my first training session where I found out I was going to be required to recruit people into the business and where my hands on training would be the references I gave and the amount of time I would have to put in especially after my one on one with Chris the next day, I left the office that day and I decided it was not for me, I did not think it was a scam.
Everyone I met was very nice and helpful, so on May 26th I sent Chris a text message to let him know I did not want to waste his time as I now think it's not for me. I wished him and his colleagues the best and I asked about my refund. When I had sent messages before I got back an answer within 5 mins. but this time nothing, I know his phone was giving a bit of trouble so I sent an email and this is now May 27th as I write this and there has been no response from Chris. He did say to me that my account was not set up with a recurring payment of $25 so I hope that is the case. I will try calling or going to the office to see if I get back my $124 but I don't think I will be successful.
I write this review to let people know who are approached by Primerica that you are not given the entire story upfront as I don't think it is a scam and I guess you can make good money if you're willing to put in the work. It's just unfortunate that once you decide it's not for you how they change and would not give your money back as promised or even take your calls. I have nothing in writing and that's my fault but I will try to get my money back. If I do I will post it here.
Updated on 06/04/2017: After persistently calling the recruiter, he finally took my call and I asked him if I can be refunded my $124 as 2 days after my first training session I realized it was not for me. I was not comfortable using family and friends for "on hands training sessions" which was really a disguised recruiting process. He told me yes and gave me a telephone number to call and a solution code to use when I called. I immediately did this. The gentleman on the line was professional and explained the $25 would be refunded in 2 days but I would need to go online and request a refund for the $99 which I did.
I got back and email saying they got my request and another one later in the day saying my request was processed. I can report I was refunded $25 and $69. I guess the $30 they kept was for the background check which in Texas is between $20 and $50. I believe I was not told everything upfront about how this company works. But I am pleased my time with them is over and I got back most of my money. Hopefully no issues will arise with taking money out in another month but I do have an email saying everything was cancelled. I hope it stays that way.

I have nothing against insurance providers or services, at least when they deal their cards right. This one indeed is an MLM (though their crafty sales 'office managers' upright deny that) Hawking about completing a state licensing exam in order to peddle termed insurance to cold-call customers. And their obvious "bring in referrals who may be interested" and "setting up more and more offices in the area", to continue what they refer as "drill for skill" weekly sales training sessions.
Their 'sign-up' fees slide between $99 and $250, depending (as they put it) season or quarterly specials. Which I did not buy into. The office manager had the nerve to become testy or impatient with me for apparently taking too long to get registered ($ in her pocket of course), because I was an undergrad student at the time, busily finishing my degree, with realistically no additional time to play their Drill for Skill or the weekend licensing exam (which was pocket cost on me). Big giant BOO for them.

My colleagues too. I listened to their Earnings Release for March 2017 and it says on the presentation that the average Sales Agent sell 0.20 policy a month!!! And that is before taxes. I should have checked their financial reports first. Primerica may have been good at some point but not anymore. I encourage you to check their financial reports and see the section about the salesforce. On these previous year our of 108,000 they added just about 11,000 new recruits! Call my rep, set up an appointment to get the new policies and he said he could update my banking information. After a month notice no draft for 2 of my policies. Call my rep, tell him no money has been drafted but he said everything is fine, no worries. Another month go by still no draft for the same 2 policies. Call my rep again, tell him what's going on and he assures me again everyone taken care of don't worry.
Third month roll around I get a letter in the mail saying the policies are lapsed. Call my rep, tell him about the letters and what's going on. My rep tells me it's ok again. It takes a while to update. By the fourth month I'm irate because I've done my part and now he calls and say the banking information didn't update, which I highly doubt the system just didn't update my information. He just didn't do it. Long story short I was able to make payments of one of the policies while my 2nd policy was too far gone so it's cancelled. My rep tells me he's going to do a forgiving of the past due charges and get it reinstated.
Still to this day after numerous calls and texts to him and even a call to customer service which they kept referring me back to him. He hasn't done anything and I'm left with no insurance on my mom and because of her age, I can't find a reasonable insurance company. So over $8000 down the drain and nobody cares because it's not their issue. I've sent emails, faxes and still NOTHING! If I hadn't invested so much on the other policies I would cancel all of it! In 1992 I quit after having an absolutely fun and fantastic time. I (We) helped so many people. It was truly magical. All my life people have walked up to me and remembered me having been to their homes and have always said positive things to me about the positive impact I (Primerica) had on their life.
Now, I'm finished. Retired. I never really made "a lot" of money in my life but I can tell you this one thing. Using those principles I live in a $500K plus home that's completely paid for, own a home by the lake, have a home on the French border with Germany, have a few nice cars, sent the kids to college, have a great IRA withdrawal going, and don't owe anyone a nickel. Thank You Primerica. I'll tell you what that agent who recruited me back in 1985 said to me "Most people have two great opportunity presented to them in their life time. I've talked to 3 people and gotten 3 different answers. The first said no money would come from my account. The second said, "yes we took it but will return it in 2-3 weeks". The third said it would be returned in 20 business days, 4 weeks. Don't bother talking to a supervisor, they defend their ignorant employees and accuse you of lying. The employees conning people are the ones leaving good reviews here, but the customers are being lied to. DO NOT BUY LIFE INSURANCE FROM THESE THIEVES. They will cancel your policy and continue to take your money, no matter what they tell you on the phone. I'm not the only one having this problem. There's another review here from someone who can't collect on a policy. This is how they teach "financial freedom", by stealing from others

I canceled my insurance claim about 3 months ago and still have not received my check. They first said they mailed the check on March 10 and of course they put the wrong address on it and I never received it. Called them and they said they would be sending out another check with the right address that was in beginning of April. Never received it, call back. They said the check was mailed on April 15, still haven't received it. I glad I canceled it because I can't imagine if something happens to me I wouldn't want to leave my family the burden of dealing with this company to pay. Fraud. If I don't received my check by Wednesday I am filing a small claims suit against them. They are liars.

I am a Primerica representative and I had someone tell me about the bad reviews about our company on here so my curiosity drove me to actually take the time and see what people had to say... I truly could not stop shaking my head at these reviews! My GOD! Most of these people really, really did not understand the concept of this business at all! They got recruited then they went home and asked their broke cousin, aunt or uncle about it, got a negative response which automatically made them believe this is a scam so they called the agent the next day (or, maybe never answered the phone when their agent called) and were simply left the idea that this was "JUST TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT HAD TO BE A SCAM". (OH! They got me for my $124.)
I'd like, if I may, take this opportunity to leave my first review on consumeraffairs.com about Primerica (the best thing that has ever happened to me!!!) and break it down for those who are doing their research. If you have been approached by an agent and have been asked to join, let me first congratulate you! That is a sign that you have greatness within you! We do not approach just everyone. We are trained to single out those individuals who we believe have what it takes to do this business (We certainly don't want those cry babies who come in, never get licensed, quit after they get their first No and then go online to write an essay on how you can't make any money here).
Once someone joins, they become part of that person's team who recruited them. This means they will have to train them and show them how they conduct business within that particular office, because like any other franchise we are all individually owned! YES! We are a franchise, which means every office is ran differently which is yet another reason why Primerica is so awesome, they provide the opportunity to move from independent contractor to owner! (meaning... you can sell, rent or pass your business over if something happens to you!!!)
Will you be able to leave your job to you children if you pass away? This is THE BEST BUSINESS opportunity for people who are looking to be somebody and have the desire to leave a legacy for their family. This company is offering people the opportunity to go in business for themselves (but not by themselves!) and become self-employed helping them understand that there's more to life than working a 9-5 J.O.B. (Just Over Broke) which has them living paycheck to paycheck and in debt!
Primerica pays for the required licenses through the states, the recruit pays $99 for class, their background check and fingerprints (This is required to acquire the license). There is a $25 monthly charge for the awesome tool Primerica provides to their agents, which is online access to the business. Meaning, you can submit all your paperwork through there and get paid faster! (I get a check 2,3 days after the business I close), check the status of your clients accounts, the production and a whole lot more. Although it's great to have and it makes training a new person a much better way it is not required. So with all that being said, let tell you guys a little something that'll probably blow some of you guys away... PRIMERICA DOES NOT PAY ANYONE ON RECRUITING!
We seriously get $0 for recruiting someone, like for real. Recruiting is however, encouraged because once we recruit someone and train them to do the business the recruiter gets an override on whatever the recruit produces, which won't affect the recruits compensation. The point of recruiting is to multiply yourself and be able to have enough people under you making money that you don't necessarily need to go work yourself therefore becoming financially independent, which is what the majority are after and that's why we recruit. Recruits are not require to purchase anything at all!! It is however, encourage since you should be a believer of what that which you preach of.
The people in Primerica are amazing. The big leaders in the company are always there! The CEO is constantly reaching out to us encouraging us to become the better version of ourselves by self-development. The Founder Art Williams is a living legend! He still takes the time to get on conference calls with everyone on the company. You know what you need to do to get promoted throughout every step of the way (What other company lays out the specifics of what you need to get a raise???). There is so much to say about this company and truly we are train to feed this information slowly to our new recruits because we found that a lot of them could get overwhelmed when they are new. I'll leave it here for now...

My husband died on March 18th 2017. His mother had taken out insurance with Primerica in 1988. After she died he took it over. I called the insurance company the Monday after he passed and they said they were sending out a claim form. Well it took a whole week before they sent me a claim form. I had a copy of his death certificate. It's all filled out the claim form. Had it notarized. Sent it off Priority Mail. I called on April 7th and they said the claim has been processed and the check was sent out. It is now April the 17th and I still have not received the check. I called them check to make sure they have the right address because they had sent a letter out 2 weeks after I had sent them the form and the death certificate saying they needed a death certificate.
To make a long story short they’re full of doodoo. I never knew it take so long for something to come but I can tell you now is that I would not have insurance with them if they were the last insurance company on Earth. I never like to complain because things are run by humans but in this case they are totally inept. I'm giving them to Wednesday the 19th to get the check here if not I will call and I will complain and complain and complain till they do something because if I don't receive it within 30 days on day 31, they gotta pay me 10% on it and I don't think they want to pay more than they should so I'm just going to wait but I'm not going to go quietly. And I would say to anybody else if you have insurance with Primerica and you don't get the payments let them know. And if there is ever a lawsuit against them Count Me In.

I joined Primerica because they were the first and only people to actually care enough to TEACH me how money works and other imperative concepts I did not learn in school or anywhere else. They have NEVER pressured me into anything. They say knowledge is power, but APPLIED knowledge is power. If you learn and do nothing with that information there is no progress and that is all a personal decision. The rich stay rich and poor stay poor based on ill-informed sales, greed, keeping people in debt playing on their lack of knowledge in this area, and selling products with no education behind them other than personal gain.
The rule of 72, the harm in waiting to plan and invest, the importance of life insurance to protect family and assets, making sure to always read contracts and policies thoroughly, and being given the education to be able to make decisions based on knowledge, values, and options not just money is beneficial REGARDLESS of who you do it through or for. I was shocked that as an educated woman I had no prior honest experience or information in these areas.
Some of the reviews of this company are based entirely on the MONEY you can or cannot make, and speaks NOTHING to the immense moral value the company places on education. FREE EDUCATION. When I invite people to the overview it is ALWAYS in good faith because my peers, family, community, etc. NEED this information. It is never with the intention to solely recruit them but to expose them to something positive and if it resonates with them - give them the option to move forward with a free FNA, potential part-time/full-time business opportunity, referrals, or just to have learned something new. NO PRESSURE.
I also attend class FOR FREE every Saturday on numerous areas of finance and education. The company, its environment, its outlook, its mission statement, and my RVP is all FOR THE PEOPLE and the ONLY company genuinely concerned with providing options and education to the middle class. Exposing injustices, and correcting horrible wrongs whole life insurance has done to people for years is not a scam, its a good thing!
Seems to me like many of the people with negative reviews on the business side of the company have the same selfish and SCHEMED mindset on wanting to get rich quick, making high commissions by any means necessary whether it is right or wrong for people, wanting to sell products AGAIN providing no education on how they work, etc. which is why it WASN'T FOR YOU. Furthermore, all of the people complaining about the $99 fee that pays for a background check and pre-licensing?! Ninety-nine dollars!? You guys are talking money, money, money yet complaining about a hundred dollars, and an OPTIONAL $25/month to access all of their helping tools, self-improvement audio and books, training material for licensing, videos to help guide your business, a turn-key and streamlined portal to input and execute business, and comprehensive factual answers that debunk all of your false theories.
I was given a clear picture of how everything works on a business and personal side with no smoke screens or facades. I did NOT have to move forward on the business side, but I did because of what we do for families. I got FIELD EXPERIENCE prior to moving forward and took as long as I needed to realize how genuine they are. I am now licensed, and aware that I get paid based on the work I do. Some reviews complain about our Term Life policies being overpriced, yet also speak of the turnover rate and how 'little' people make in the business. Those don't correlate. But considering that perspective, I would conclude that is because for MOST in the company it is not JUST about a dollar amount. If it is just about the money for you and others reading this, you would probably best fit with a company of greed.
Term Insurance pays the lowest individual commissions out of all types of life insurance yet we are able to get people proper coverage based on what they NEED not how much they can afford (how most companies start the conversation) because we don't mask it by being tied as an 'investment'. Life insurance is NOT an investment. The money you make in the company is stack-able and revolving, and it takes GRIND and HUSTLE to do it both of which MOST DON'T HAVE. There is big money to be made with the company, IF you put in the work, and I was made well aware that most DON'T make it because people don't have the capacity to want to grow, stretch, or change. You get paid what you're worth, for the amount of work you do, and for doing THE RIGHT THING. THAT is amazing.
Unfortunately we live in a world where that is usually too good to be true, all so used to being taken advantage of with money and products, that people are now making blind determinations about this company as well. I am 25 years old and now have proper coverage for myself and child (didn't just go with what I was told researched other options on my own as well), have multiple investments for retirement - short term and long term better than ANY bank would offer, and emergency funds. I now feel confident in my financial picture, am almost completely debt free, and based on what PRIMERICA has taught me and others - everything I do and every decision I make is entirely knowledge based.
We are ALL (or should be) smart enough to know that there are bad seeds in any situation, some utilizing this platform for personal gain and that is unfair. It is also unfortunate that some of your bad experiences, for whatever reason, lead you to judge an entire company and spread misrepresentation. I invited two good friends (or so I thought) to an overview JUST for them to learn the financial concepts listed above and they in turn decided I was part of a scam, a pyramid scheme, that I was being taken advantage of and trying to game them, condemned my character and good judgment, made a statement about me as a person and a mother, and LEFT BEFORE IT STARTED. I had never felt so belittled in my life! Come to find out, they got ALL of their information from A BLOG and this site. They made a complete and utter judgment of my intentions from skewed reviews.
From people that have no field experience with the company, who never even got licensed, who sites ** as the number one source of proof. How uninformed and mislead. Some speak of the fact that we don't disclose the name of the company to trick people, however look at the false information they will find if they do, before even seeing how much good we do. People NEED assistance, need advocates, need someone showing them their options and the ins and outs of their current situation and how to better it. If someone is pressuring and forcing this transaction, THEY have their own motives. NOT the entire company. Primerica has been the odd balls of the financial world for 40 years because they have been fighting for the RIGHT thing, for PEOPLE, for education, and for a voice.
Throughout history, anyone or thing that revolutionizes something that goes against the money and greed focused way of the world is always condemned, and you are helping that. You say you do all this research? Research the history of the company, how they were founded and what they went through to do what's right. The people involved with PRIMERICA for the right reasons, the reasons it was intended and thrived for, market and sell EDUCATION, and if someone then takes that knowledge and applies it by putting a beneficial product in place for them and their family, that's how we get paid. PERIOD. I encourage everyone who read this blog and the OPINIONS expressed, to take MY EXPERIENCE to heart and see for yourself objectively. I would love an analytical and impartial response back. Thanks.

This Steven character is full of ** to put it nicely and his sole interest is scamming and making himself money. ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL. I spoke with our family friend and he advised me to beware of this company and the next day I quickly told Steven I wanted nothing to do with his company. He promised a refund of my 99 dollars and I took his word. Sat down for an initial policy review and comparison. I was told that their policy was superior, I believed them as I know very little about life insurance. I tentatively agreed to cancel my current policy and begin new policy pending a health exam. I waited a few weeks to schedule the exam, but heard nothing from Primerica or their reps. I got an approval letter from Corporate in the mail a few weeks later and saw money starting to be taken from my account. I still hadn't gotten a health exam which I thought was necessary to be approved. I didn't have a policy in my possession, yet month after month my account was debited.
I made multiple attempts to get my policy delivered, but was ignored. I made attempts to call and email my rep to stop payment on my account as I was paying for two life insurance policies as I had thought the new Primerica policy wasn't going into effect yet. Months later I am still trying to get a hold on my payments and cancel my account. This company is full of moonlighting insurance agents that don't have time for you. The company truly stands for what is right for the consumer evidenced by their philosophy of 100% Term Insurance. I believe there is no company out there willing to provide only 100% Term Insurance for its clients even though the commissions are not nearly as juicy as other type of life insurance products. I follow world-renowned Suze Orman and Dave Ramsey and their teachings very much reflect those taught to me by my Primerica representative. I really love their educational approach and their mission helping educate families financially.
My representative is very professional, knowledgeable and truly cares about my financial well-being. Throughout the years he has demonstrated to have a heart of a teacher. Their complimentary and personalized Financial Needs Analysis is an instrumental tool to make you aware of where you are standing financially and what measures need to be taken to achieve your goals. The reason I give Primerica 2 stars is because I wanted to make it big. I worked harder & a little more, I saved money & a little more, I wanted it so bad & a little more, I was the last to leave the office & the first to show. Problem is with multi levels the market gets saturated & message watered down. My first 3 months out of the gate I was promoted to district leader. I was top district leader in the state for the next 3 months. We had a trip to South Carolina for fast start training. I was top district leader & I didn't win any awards. I asked why I didn't go on stage like the others. They said "you ain't doing nothing." I guess they were right, my best month as district I made $800 dollars. But at the same time I gave it all I had, and Art Williams said "all you can do is all you can do, but all you can do is enough." And that's what I was doing, I wasn't making money or getting an award. I was crushed...
I got securities licensed and had over 500,000 under management within 2 years. But I couldn't pay the bills. One night I was on a dirt road, my headlight fell out of the socket and I broke down & cried. I tried so hard. and this was my lot in life. My car broke down another time, I was in the most elegant part of town, as I was leaving my car smoked & filled the whole neighborhood with smoke, I pushed the car a few blocks away until my RVP came & got me. I was almost over the hump, I recruited an ex Yankees baseball player. Then 2 weeks later my RVP went off on him & the 30+ people under him we had recruited quit.
I met with another RVP to move my license and network because my RVP was a psycho. But I just didn't have it any me as I was making more in real estate and saw too many broke agents. I kept my license active. My RVP divorced and the wife RVP who stayed active told me to invest all my money in Citi stock. I had 120,000 in Citi stock. Then 9-11 hit. In one week my 120,000 went to 16,000. I was furious and went into depression (It was illegal for her to recommend stock when she is only licensed in mutual funds). I said ** it & let my license lapse.
The reason I gave a 2 is because the motivational talk has helped me in life. Otherwise my experience in many ways has ruined my life. In the 90's while licensed part time with pfs I did real estate full time & made 100,000 plus in real estate 3 years in the 90's. I'm still in real estate & in the 2010's have 2 years of over 100k annual earnings & this year on my way to make 250k plus. I would recommend Primerica to those wanting a positive feeling and to learn about business part time. However, I would recommend that you don't go to the meetings (just like Art Williams founder says). Instead set 3 appointments a day for 3 years (just like Art Williams founder says), save your money over those 3 years, then based on that evaluate your next move.
Also, I have a few past clients around town who are completely financially independent due to the motivation we gave them to save & pay down debt. Also, I paid a 1,000,000 dollar death claim to a spouse of a man who had several businesses in town when I was licensed. I would be willing to join Primerica again, but I would only join direct under a 1,000,000 dollar + annual earner who saw the potential in me & came to my area for 9 months to retrain me. God Bless.

As many have said, I also felt for the "Job Interview" invitation. They said they were looking to hire and that was a good candidate. I went, and it was Primerica... I was upset as I attended a previous meeting before in a friend's house. They will PUSH you to provide names of friends and family. Do not give them these numbers. You are not licensed to sell and as such you cannot sell. They just want access to your warm market. Anyhow, Primerica uses MLM marketing similar to Amway, Herbalife, Nuvee, etc. Check Wikipedia: It clearly says they are MLM (some people deny it). According to their own financial reports, the average Salesperson makes about $6,000 a YEAR!
Don't pay attention to Facebook Reviews, I complained and my account was blocked. Check Youtube and you will notice the vast majority of the videos (up to 95%) are about "Recruiting" or introduction to the business or "Success Stories" of how much money they are making. Very few videos about the real business they do, Term Life Insurance. They also claim you do not have to invest in inventory, BUT you have to pay $25.00 minimum for Primerica Online, their Web Application. Furthermore, you most likely feel force to buy their own Life Insurance which is rather overpriced compared to others. Ultimately, the decision to join is yours but if you decide to join, remember to keep the best contacts (family/friends) to yourself. Best wishes.

My father passed away on Nov. 14th and I began his death claim the following day. After calling in they advised me they will be sending out paperwork for me to complete. Well I then decided to contact my representative whom I purchased my father policy through and met with her to get the main paperwork completed and notarized. This was done on 11/17 and I was told it was faxed and FedEx priority to Lynda ** who was appointed to be our adjuster. Well the next week comes and still no paperwork from Primerica. I call them and they advised me they have not received anything from me nor was Lynda in the office for the week. Once again I contacted my insurance rep and she confirmed she spoke with Lynda herself and the paperwork was received. I gave my rep my father’s death certificate on 11/22 and was told that it will be faxed and shipped out the following day.
Since it was a holiday week, I chose to be understanding and will resume the claim on 11/28. On that Monday, I finally received the paperwork that was supposed to be sent out on 11/15 which 2 sheets could've been given to me for my father's doctor to fill out when I originally met with my agent on 11/17. Now I had to chase down my father’s doctor and miss days of work when I had time off 2 weeks before. So my agent gave me a number to fax the paperwork to and I'm assuming it was directly to my adjuster but it went to her! I have yet to hear a single thing from Lynda **. So once again I try contacting Primerica to see where my claim stands and was given very minimal information but was advised I will be getting contacted by a third-party for an phone interview which is fine. My father’s policy was a little less than 2 years so I understand.
All of this happened in a chain of events which threw my entire family off guard. I received that call on 12/1 and then received more paperwork on 12/5. As usual I promptly get all documents in. This is the 4th week of me running in circles with no answer in sight! My agent tells me this is common, but when it comes to someone wanting to put their loved one to rest, there needs to be a better system in hand. A link for all paperwork to be printed by clients, a list of important items to have ready and adjusters contacting and updating families. I am 9 months pregnant and am being as patient as possible but imagine having your father body sitting in a mortuary and your family under distress because he has yet to be laid to rest.

MLM requires two things for participants to make money: recruiting and buying products from the company. Primerica does not require either, which is why I chose to be an independent contractor with me. Primerica is Direct Sales, which means you are an independent contractor with your own business. Yes, they recruit, but that is how they get new people and pay people for the time and energy they put into you. (BTW -- tech companies routinely give bonuses for recruiting.) There is a high cheesiness factor with all the meetings and positive thinking, but none of those activities are required. You are able to conduct your business in any manner in which you choose, as long as you are legally compliant and have high ethical standards.
All licensed agents in California must go through 32 hours of mandatory state licensing. Including 12 hours of ethics training. Primerica offers this licensing at a fraction of the cost of other places. And, it is identical to any other licensing -- because the insurance industry is highly regulated. A person pays $99 for this training, $20 of which goes to your background check.
Finally: some people have complained that they were automatically charged $25 and were not able to cancel. However, as a new rep, I was given a clear option to opt out of this service and told I could get a refund for my first month's subscription. This information was in the TOS, which was not in legal-ease, but in plain English. I also asked my Rep about this requirement, and he told me the same thing. Opting out means you have to go online and cancel. You cannot call. So, those complaints were made by people who did not follow the instructions.

Shortly after joining I decided to not continue with them. I called and cancelled my membership so that they can stop charging me with the confirmation that my membership was cancelled and that I would no longer be charged for their app.
After reviewing my bank account I see that they continued to charge my bank account. I called them to see why I was charged. Their customer service is the worse. With sighing and loud talking by the people they have representing them. I am disgusted! After spending hours trying to get my charges reversed and unable to speak to a supervisor. I want to state Primerica is one of the most trustworthy financial companies out there. They are rated 99% in forbes magazine. They responded when 9/11 hit when other companies sat on their hands. The founder made a public announcement to make sure all underwriters issued payments to the families that where lost in 9/11 accident who were insured with Primerica. Due to act of war terrorism and suicide other companies refused to pay out. I have enjoyed revealing the truth about other companies and the products that are being sold to families that are consider to be "life insurance" when in fact they are loans. I was a victim. If someone is trying to sell you Perm insurance over term please make sure you know what exactly those types of insurances are.
Perm insurances are loans. Dont get suckered in by a life agent who wants to just make a commission off of you. Primerica does whats right for the consumer 100% of the time. I have worked out of the LA office and The riverside office and has been a great experience. The knowledge gain is something no one can take away from me. Its not easy to be a life agent. Primerica has set it up so if you follow the steps you will be successful at what you do but just like your JOB, you have to show up to get paid, you have to put in effort to be successful at this business. It doesnt happen overnight. No one promises you will get rich overnight. Anyone promises you that run away.
Helping families is a great way to make a living and here at primerica is what I have been given the opportunity to do. The first months dont expect to make money right away, get training and get your license so then you can start making the money you desire. I promise you, you wont regret it!! Dont listen to those people who tried it and gave up! Listen to those who tried and are doing it and are successful at it. I promise you they will show you how and give you any information on how you can be where they are at. They are open books! Believe in yourself!!

From start to finish I spent 4 or 5 months in two different offices. I gave it my 110%. I was in a real financial mess. I'm giving them one star because they did have some really good debt management help. I studied really hard. The exams were brutal. Apparently they are in Ontario now. I passed on the first try. I went with two offices. The second one being one that was really successful. Or so I thought. I trained with more than one person. I did about 3? sales.
I did not get paid on my own life insurance. I did not get paid on the seg fund I sold because apparently it's not enough to get paid on I was told. I didn't get paid on the other 2 because I wasn't licensed for mutual funds. I didn't get paid because I'm so low on totem pole. I don't get paid. It's not worth it to cut me a cheque for 5 bucks a month. You are expected to go to consortiums, conferences, events. Wherever you are told they are. No matter how long it is. If it's a weekend in another country or a week, you cover all of your own expenses. All it is is people talking about how rich they are and the audience yelling amen! Like... a cult.
Overall they tell everyone that they would make great agents. They totally have amazing personalities and they can see success in their future. They will make RVP. They pay you some attention too in the beginning. Really make you feel like you belong. They will tell you how much they love your children and how special they are and how much they want you to succeed. Then when they see that you have run out of contacts and they don't like your ideas to generate business. They start to ignore you. I pushed it and said I want to be successful. I got yelled at and told off. I got told they didn't care about anything except making money. I did call the head office. I got told that nobody has time to micromanage someone who has no confidence.
I was so just done after this. I took a breath and I did 2 interviews with two other insurance companies. I wanted to know what the difference was and why Primerica trashes the first one I went to. I had to go through 2 interviews at each one and fill out a really long personality questionnaire. The first one turned me down. The second one thought I was great. This was a job interview I had to go through.
Primerica is great to get your license. It's a really cheap way to do it. Their products are legit. Maybe expensive but they are legit. That's where it ends. They changed the LLQP because of Primerica. They mass recruit and tell everyone they are great when they aren't and then it wasn't too hard to pass the exams. Now the exams are really hard so it puts a damper on what Primerica does.
I really wanted to believe in the company but I can't. If you go to a few interviews with different companies you will see a big difference in the professionalism in the agents. They dress more professionally. They drive better cars. I was training with a guy who had been there for over 7 years and drove a crappy old car. How come after that much time you aren't making big bucks? I think if you want to get licensed through them it's great! I'd leave right after. It's next to impossible to make any money. Their failure rate is unbelievably high. I can only get a job in the industry because I already have a license if I didn't I probably wouldn't. So if you are serious I would recommend Primerica just to get a license then leave quickly! Don't look back!

Bottom line up front (BLUF) - My story pretty much echos most of the stories in this link, which also tells you everything you need to know. 2 stars because all in all the person I dealt with was cool about it and very polite, but I just can't bring myself to give 3 stars. The Primerica recruiter (let's call them PR) did tell me the name of the company and that it was a financial type business that they were starting... but I am terrible with names, otherwise I would have done my research and saved myself the waste of time.
Anyway, I got a call from PR and invited to an "open house office" at 7PM. Odd time for pretty much anything, but for some reason, I guess overactive imagination, I pictured a rustic home office (being that it was "just started" by this person and their spouse) in the suburbs and I was being invited over for dinner and get-to-know-you before you start this "awesome" job. Anyway I digress - the time comes and I am running a few minutes late which had me all upset but was probably to my advantage.
I walk-in to an office inside a business complex with a large (30 or so) crowd seated to a powerpoint presentation. This should have been my first red flag but I didn't really think anything of it... I find a seat and as this speaker is talking... the crowd starts hooting and hollering for NO reason! I say to myself okay... they are giving a standing ovation, again I can see no reason so I stay seated with my poker face, looking at my wife who came with me, like what the what.
So then the speaker starts introducing other speakers complete with theme/hype music (yes at this point the red flags start going off) and again random shouts like "YESSS!" and "We're number one baby!" (Umm where am I? I'm 40 years old and high school was a LONG time ago). Anyway, to not appear TOO rude I give the occasional golf clap and even stood once for a few seconds, but seriously, am still a little puzzled by the crowd's "acting." Well it didn't take me too long to figure out this was a pyramid - oops sorry, a Multi-Level Marketing. MLM is the legal version of a Pyramid. Yes it is technically not a scam, and it is legal (moral is another question) and it's legit, because they sell stocks and shares and their customers are willingly buying a service, after all.
So finally the head sc... I mean, honcho gets up, bragging about how much he makes etc etc. This has been dragging on a while and we go to the bathroom. That's another thing. After a goshdarn hour and a half people are either on board or they're not, and they aren't gonna be swayed by your life story. The song "Cult of Personality" came to my mind at this point.
Also at this point he pretends to not rag on the people who left (but yeah he was ragging on them). Wait, people have left already?? I told my wife, "Let's go" but she wanted to wait for the next standing ovation to draw less attention. When that FINALLY happened, we made our quick exit and PR was standing right by the door but without hesitation I nonchalantly walked out. PR followed. "Are you leaving?" Well it sure looks that way, right, but I smiled and said "yes we have to get going" not slowing down my walk at all. "Not interested?" PR asked. "Mmm, not really, no." So again, to PR's credit, PR was nice and remained professional. But to be safe I've blocked their phone number. :)

What is Primerica? It's a Financial Service Company! They offer many different services. Yes they have actual products that they sell. I purchased a life insurance policy through Primerica. I was a Regional Leader for Primerica as well. I let my life license expire a few years ago but I can tell you I only have great things to say about Primerica. As with every career choice, there are good and bad people. Teachers, cops, waitresses, etc. There are great ones and crappy ones! Same goes with Primerica leaders. You cant Judge this company off one of their crappy leaders. Just because you have a horrible server at your favorite restaurant doesn't mean the entire restaurant sucks! That server sucked!
When reading all the reviews I had to laugh at one particular post. It was about a man that had a life insurance policy that his daughter didn't know about. For some reason he had stopped making payments so the policy lapsed. She learned of his policy from bank statements. She could see that he paid for many years and then stopped making payments. Her father passed away and she was upset that he had paid for life insurance for many years and now Primerica wont pay the death claim!
OK let's think about this, you bought a car 10 years ago, you called LLL auto insurance to insure your vehicle. You pay $100 per month for 10 years and never got into an accident. For what ever reason you stop paying your insurance premiums and have an accident. Does your auto insurance pay to fix your car because you use to pay your bill? Of Course not! Does your auto insurance give you back $100 per month X 12 months X 10 years because you never had an accident in the 10 years you paid? HECK NO! Come on people! Seriously! I can tell you I sold a lot of life insurance policies in the couple years working with Primerica (PFS) and paid 3 death claims!
Let me now tell you an experience I had with one I will never forget. I sat down with a single mom that thought it was important to protect her family. She told me if something ever happened to her she wanted to make sure her children were able to go to college. Besides purchasing her own policy she also purchased a $10,000 policy on her children to cover funeral expenses. God forbid something happen to one of them.
Two days later there was a terrible accident. Her son was hit by a car and passed away! When Primerica received her initial payment it bounced. That's right her check did not clear! Do you know what this horrible scheming company called Primerica did to this grieving mother? THEY PAID THE DEATH CLAIM!!! I personally delivered a check for $10,000 to this grieving mother!! Now that is a company that I will stand behind! $10,000 does not bring back her child but it helps eliminate the financial stress of burying your child! How many people have you seen standing on a corner holding signs "car wash to cover funeral experiences!"
Primerica made sure this mom did not have to worry how she was going to pay for her sons services! Working with this company is definitely not for everyone! But neither is being a teacher, a pastor, a landscaper, but we all need their services, and we can all benefit from Primerica's services as well! Once again I have no current ties with Primerica. From experience I know they are an astonishing, creditable company! Here's a list of some of their products they offer:
Financial Needs analysis (a personalized analysis that shows you how to get out of debt). Life Insurance (To sell this you must have a state License!) (NOT AN EASY TEST!). Investments (Must have a state license!) (NOT AN EASY TEST!). Auto and home insurance. Long term health care. Debt Watchers (similar to other companies that keep an eye on your credit scores). Prepaid Legal Services. I have not stepped foot into a Primerica office in years so they may have other services I'm not familiar with. My Conclusion: Yes this is a legit company where people have to get a legit license (through the "State" NOT PRIMERICA). They offer (SELL) Legit services. Nope not a pyramid scheme.

Primerica may or may not a company you may want to deal with them based on my experience with the advisor I had. I have a distaste for the company. Each individual is their own person and will take their learning and use it for their best. Some will have ethics, some will have for personal gain and will not stop until they get what they want at all costs. I'm basing my experience on one individual and I got royally ripped off. She was able to fabricate documents to her best financial gain. But if she has a conscience, one day it will catch up to her. I believe its called karma. Primerica will back up the advisor at all costs, withholding documents etc.
After all they have acquired this business from 1981 but in general it's not about the consumer, it comes from the profitability of the advisor first. Some advisors will do whatever it takes to acquire your investments, even shady production of documents made to look like the investor's request. In any event I caution anybody who has limited knowledge of investing, do have professional help before you sign on that dotted line. Once you give them the check you have lost control. Should the advisor give you bad advice an unethical advisor will do whatever to keep their heads above water.
As with Primerica some are professionals with designation but most are trained according to training courses provided by Primerica and don't have the financial education to make your investments viable. You're the consumer. One more thing Primerica will at all costs go above and beyond to save the advisor. It's not so much they are thinking about the advisor but Primerica are looking after their own butts.

I am a client and a district leader at Primerica. This IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. If you don't have an entrepreneur mindset and you're stuck on being an employee instead of a self employed, business owner or investor one day by all means go ahead and keep doing what you're doing because you WILL NOT make it in Primerica.
To the people on this website complaining about Primerica being a "Scam" or "scheme". The website you are on states when you create your account with it that this allows lawyers and news people and etc will be able to look at these complaints and see if they serve as "legal merit" to pursue the case. Notice that no one is wanting to pursue the case of Primerica being a "scam" or "scheme". Can you ask yourself now, "hmm, why is that?". Think about it while AT&T and big corporations under people like Steve Jobs use or used recruiting to grow business. Primerica has been around for 39 years and has probably had these complaints since they first started and guess what. No lawsuits filed on the way they grow business.
Also let me make clear, because Primerica allows people who work hard to open their own business. There are different people managing the building you walk into. I'm sure even you can agree every person is different. Not one person is the same as another (according to the bible). So yes some people who own their own business within Primerica are not all the best. As for those who had these crappy trainers or crappy leaders I completely apologize for what you went through. But just know, just because it didn't work at one of the buildings you walked into doesn't mean it won't work if you walked into another that may be better off than others. I personally had a great experience with the leaders.
As for the fees, I went through the same process. All you pay for is the book you need to help study for the life insurance exam to get your license which is $100, your background check $25, and your membership on the online website $25 a month. After you take the 2 classes (Primerica pays for which are around $2,000 on it's own) you can get reimbursed the $100 or you can skip the classes and choose to get reimbursed when you pass the exam (Primerica also pays for which is a couple hundred dollars) instead.
I personally did the classes because they were helpful and I got reimbursed faster. Primerica actually pays for two other different background checks that are the more expensive ones and ask you to just pay the $25 one (no biggie). As for the $25 a month membership for the online account, that is what you NEED to transact business. So trust me once you start to transact business that $25 is nothing compared to what you may be getting paid. I personally have no problem with.
Overall Primerica is a great company with MOSTLY great people. Please do not let certain people put the company to shame. The company has over 100,000 licensed reps and it's almost impossible to tell what kind of person they may or may not be. Just like you would any other company who has the problem of accidentally hiring some bad people, cut them some slack. There are still great agents and base shops out there that surpass the bad ones. I know because my experience is great.
My fiance has personally bought life insurance, invested into a 9% rate of return savings, and opened up a retirement plan for us. We're only 21 and are on the right path to being financially independent all because Primerica taught us how to intellectually personally control our finances. It has helped me also pay my way through college with the proceeds I've made to help me get my second degree. Thanks to Primerica. I am set for life.

I recently joined the business about a month ago and my life perspective has changed completely. I aspire to do great things through Primerica and all of my dreams and goals from my early 20s are back on the board. I don't know if I'm going to be successful or not but at least now I have a shot at it. As for the fees, I told myself, if this business opportunity will cost me $400 (100 + 25*12) for one year, I will take it everyday of the week. It seems that the reviews for Primerica are very polarizing either 5 stars or 1 star, that's why I gave it 3. If you are being called and invited to talk to a recruiter and you have your doubts and that's how you ended up here reading reviews of other people; my advice to you is don't let others decide for you. Primerica may or may not be for you but it's worth a look.

My mother bought Primerica "Life Insurance" at the cost of 117 dollars per month for YEARS and it was not actual life insurance. The type of plan she was signed up for is comparable to short term insurance you would put on a car or home, not on a human being. They took advantage of her because she is older, and they will not give her any of her money back. This company is a complete scam, avoid them at all costs. She cannot afford a lawyer to take them to court, so she is totally out the money that she paid.

Yesterday was my first encounter with the financial advisers of Primerica. This was for what I was told by a coworker of mine to be an "interview," as for I am considering seeking employment elsewhere. I thought very little of it and figured it to be just that. Upon meeting, I sat down with two people who explained to me in a rambling fashion about the services that they offer ranging from auto and lawyer to life insurance. After they received the payment of $99 for the classes and for the tests (state and federal and securities) from me I was immediately asked to think of other potential fits for the position. I did not want to do that by text or phone call, I like communicating in an in person approach. They even had a script of something I should say via text or phone call. This bothered me for I felt like I was extorting my friends and associates to the will of the company.
Even though I seemed hesitant he did not back off of me and we sat for a few hours doing this task. Commission is 25% and ONLY goes up through this referral and closed policies pyramid like set up. I told him upfront I hate their business model in which he matched me with mediocre analogies about other businesses in which made no sense. I walked out with a feeling of distrust in the company and staff in which told me that they did not finish high school. I would not recommend this company at all, and it falls in the same league as selling knives for Cutco.
After this all happened I wanted my money back being I did not even take the classes. I find out that they actually charged me an additional $25 without even telling me. And these are the types of people I or anyone should want to manage finances let alone major things such as debt, retirement and life insurance? What a joke. Stay far away unless you know a bunch of other average people to bring under you and do not mind making residual income off of those peers. Great talk, yet staffing is in need of a better communication style.

I am not understanding some of these negative reviews on here, unless these claims are not legitimate. A friend of mine started working with Primerica 3 years ago and asked me to meet with her so I could potentially refer her to others that could benefit from her services. I fell in love with what this company does! She provided me with a free financial plan which took me by surprise in the best way! I am now getting out of debt 12 years earlier. I now can have peace of mind that I will be able to retire. I know that I am overpaying in taxes and can use that money towards funding retirement, and so much more.
This a company that absolutely cares about their clients, as well as their agents/consultants. My friend has advanced quickly with this company and is now doing very well financially from what I can see, which is a huge accomplishment for a single mom with only a bachelor's in Oklahoma. My advice to anyone reading these reviews, take it with a grain of salt. Most people on here who are frustrated clearly didn't do something right or they are not the sharpest tool in the shed. Primerica will get my business and my referrals!

After 29 yrs as a chef, I was let go because of financial problems the company was having. Working for a company 50 to 60 hours a week. If it wasn't for Dave Ramsey earlier to show me how to get out of debt I would have been financially devastated. I would tell them about his book. Then I met a friend that show me this business while working for a school that paid me half what I was making. I had no experience in the financial field, but I looked at this business (Primerica) and all I had on my mind was to help families.
I got off to a slow start in this company (most people would of quit) because I told my friends the company's name and I sell life insurance. They ran from me, because they looked at these websites which I did, but looked at all the complaints where people that read these websites and quit because they did not know how to get in business for themselves (That is why they don't tell you because when you see it you can make a decision for yourself).
When I saw it I asked myself why would a company be a scam and you get licences from the State and Federal government? Why would top financial companies do business with Primerica, even be trading on the NY Stock Market under PRI? I am in the company for a year and half. Last month I made more than I make at the school in a month. The company is awesome, but it is also the people you work with, because this is a people business. The people I work with is the best. They want you to succeed!!!
You have to work this business and on yourself. It's part time and you don't have to stress of leaving your job. It's a business not a job. Recruiting (better than being recruited) all companies recruit. Helps families. Only cost $99 (refund around $60 if you quit before scheduling your licence) for your cost of a background check. $25 a month for top-notch website to help you with your business and does all the work for you. No inventory and no overhead. They pay for all licences (Life and Securities). More million dollar and hundred thousand dollar earners than any company out there. Unlimited income (that is up to you). All businesses are pyramids: Owner or GM or President, then VPs, then middle management, then workers.
Now ask yourself. Who gets paid the most? And who gets paid the least? Are you living the dream life? Can you go to the top? What you are doing now? Can you ask for a raise and get it? Do you have a plan B? Nothing easy. If it was, everyone would be doing it. I'm doing this business to help families and to help my family!

I've been with Primerica for 3 years and to start it is NOT a pyramid. A pyramid can't be listed on the NY Stock Exchange that is overseen by FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority), and they are also overseen by the state Insurance Commission. Primerica is not a job offering, it's a business opportunity. With any business you have to work, just ask the person who started the business you're working for. But what the heck, you're already working to line the pockets of your boss who is getting rich off of you and making their dreams come true, not the other way around.
Primerica isn't for everyone nor should it thought of as such, but is for people who are tired of living paycheck to paycheck and not being able get anywhere and are tired of have to work someone else's schedule. Again Primerica is not a job opportunity - it's a business opportunity for people who have dreams and vision of how to get out from the oppression of someone telling them how much they can make, when they have to show up and not get anywhere. I have done the work and it's paying off. Any entrepreneur will tell you that to get rich you have to work, but for yourself, not someone else.

I had my experience with Primerica at the beginning of June 2016. I had just finished school and I didn't have a job for the summer. A girl on Facebook contacted me asking if I or anyone I knew was interested in a part time job. I said I was, and this is where everything started. I got a call from the "hiring manager", which turns out was a girl the same age as me (I'm 19). That right there already seemed a little strange to me. The girl on the phone never told me the company name or any other detail about the job which I found a little strange. Eventually, I go in for an interview on a Monday. They start telling me about the company and all, but not once did they ever say that they sell life insurance. I would also ask how employees get paid, but the girl would always change the subject. Second red flag. Me being the naive girl that I am, I decided to apply because I thought "Why not?" They are a real company after all.
I give them all my information, thinking that I would actually work with them. The next night I get invited to an open house, that was only a sales pitch. It was a room full of 50 potential recruits, and basically throughout the entire event they kept on saying how a school degree won't get you anywhere in life and that Primerica will bring you wealth and happiness. Like, what??? What company says that??? After that I left with a weird feeling because none of this seemed right. But I knew that I had applied a day earlier so backing out wouldn't be so much of a hassle.
That following Thursday I was supposed to go for my training but after I looked more into the company and read all the bad reviews online from multiple websites I decide to decline the job offer. After all, I didn't work for them not even for a minute. I contacted the girl who interviewed me and told her that I wasn't interested anymore, and she said it was fine and that she wishes me the best. I thought this was over with. NOPE. I was wrong.
Fast forward two weeks later, I get an email from the company saying "Welcome to Primerica!" Instantly, I panic because I wasn't working with them. I already had a new job. I check my bank account and I see a $25 dollar charge on my account for a monthly online service employees use. I call their billing department the next day and explain to them that I am not working nor did I ever work for this company and that I wanted a refund for this money. According to them, they didn't see a charge on their end. I called two more times, and I got the same explanation. I had to file a claim with my bank and have them dispute it with them because they didn't want to help me.
Now, fast forward to a week ago, and I noticed my bank account is about $100 dollars less than it should be. I check my bank statement and it's a charge from this company for my application. EXCUSE ME? I had declined the job the previous month!!! I couldn't believe it. I thought I was done with them and here I am with money out of my account even after I had filed a claim against them. I went in and Sat down with someone from my bank and explained this situation because their customer service refused to give me a refund. I filed another claim about two days ago, and thank God I was able to get my money back. Not only that, the bank blocked my card, and now I'm awaiting a new one. So there you have it, they robbed money from me even after I told them I wasn't interested in working for them. Worst company ever.

I was shocked to hear that from someone who has a family of his own. Anyway I kept my composure and finished training. I was wondering why any business would try to be a matchmaker for some lonely soul in their company and use my own wife as the answer. This make me angry beyond belief. Maybe they should just recruit more single women and leave my wife out of their loneliness. Keep in mind this was a senior vice president.

I choose recruiting, yes you have to work otherwise sell yourself for 10 to 20 dollars an hour and be happy.
No wonder this scam has most 6 figures in the USA, but working 40 hours a week will get you rich ooppppsss, great company good rewards, good everything, small people look for a job and complaint. The other 5 % have a business. Since I joined Primerica I have seen the growth of my RVPs only because they put a lot of work, $20.000 a month and counting in less than 3 years, 24 and 26 years kids. So think about what you wish for, and good luck in your current JOB. 20 to 25 years from now look yourself in the mirror and see if you did it or not. :-)))) Stop talking trash and look at your bank account.

A coworker introduced me to a Primerica rep who was going to help me get debt free. He moved over my rif but did not take the taxes off. In the end I had to pay the government almost 3400.00 in taxes because of it. He gave me the pros but not the cons. When I made a complaint the investigator said "no comment". Stay away from primerica.

FANTASTIC COMPANY - I have been a client for 25 years. I was referred to by a friend. I was educated on the concepts of becoming debt free, protecting my income, and they helped me understand interest rates and mutual funds. They helped me set up a mutual fund with $250 / $50 - per month deposits with American Funds. Other "name brand" financial advisers wouldn't even help me just to get started with a savings. FINANCIAL ADVISERS wouldn't even help me - DROWNING IN DEBT & LIVING PAYCHECK-TO-PAYCHECK.
A Primerica Rep sat down with me and did a FNA - Financial Needs Analysis. It helped me with a plan of eliminating debt and find money left over in my budget for me to save. All I know is that if it wasn't for a friend who introduced me, I would be still living broke. I was fortunate to learn when I was 23. I am now 49, debt free, I owe no one. I am saving more money than I ever have. I love this company and my rep. I found out that PRIMERICA is one of FORBES magazine's "Most Trusted Companies." I trusted them and now I am on my way of retiring with a pile of money. :)

To start things off, I have never worked for Primerica, nor will I ever. One of their employees came into my current retail job to offer me a position here based on how "impressed" he was with my customer service. He then continued to tell me how fantastic the job would be - leaving out any details about what the job would actually involve - for an extended amount of time, getting in the way of customers in the process. I realized too late that this was a pyramid scheme to avoid handing out my contact info, which was stupid on my part as I now receive daily calls and texts. I also didn't appreciate being offered this while on shift at my current job, as I work retail and are therefore required to be professional at all times. This also means I'm now worried about being harassed at my work.
I still have no idea what this company does or what any sort of job with them would include as the entire time he told me about the position. All he did was try to distract me by telling me how much money I could be making, and at the end throwing in how he wouldn't do anything that goes against his morals, so this has to be a great job. Awesome. Definitely not a giant red flag. In short, this company is a classic pyramid scheme. If that sort of job works for you, then go right ahead. But I couldn't try to scam all of my friends and family for a living and have very little respect for people who could.

My sister purchased a term life insurance policy over 20 years ago for my step dad. Every year he was alive the premium would go higher. His policy was only for $10,000. My sister passed away 9 years ago so I took over the policy insuring my step dad. He paid for the policy out of his checking account even though I was the owner. He passed away May 10, 2016.
He had dementia and was living in a nursing home for over a year. Last October the nursing home took all his pension and social security. I was not able to pay the $159 a month so the policy lapsed. Since 2009 he paid $10,680. Over the value of the policy. So for over 20 years Primerica took all monies paid and they told me that since the policy lapsed I won't get a dime. So they received almost double the value of the insurance policy, they invested his money and they profited from his money and I get $0 dollars. They took his money for over 20 years and it is gone. I don't believe that this is right. I am stuck with the funeral bill and I can't afford it. Please help with problem. We need to outlaw all term life insurance policies that increase with age, no cash value, and if you can't pay after 20 years, the insurance keeps all the money and the policy holder get nothing.

I was sold a Primerica Life Insurance Policy when I was around 25 years old. I paid $17.29 a month. I was under the impression that that amount would never change as I got older. I had this policy for 20 years with no problems. As soon as I turned 45 in late 2010 my premium more than tripled. It went up to $59 a month with no explanation. I was in good health. I had no major health problems. No one I spoke to could give me a reasonable explanation for the large increase of my premium. I decided to cancel the policy as I cannot afford to pay that much every month. I got nothing back for it. Not a penny. All the money I paid for the policy over 20 years and nothing to show for it.

I made a large investment with Primerica 2007. The funds came a corporation where I was a director. This was retirement funds. My husband and I were estranged and to be divorced in the near future. My ex husband at that time, now we are divorced. But anyhow I over rode his thoughts about Primerica. I felt it was a good company. The advisor came to become close friends. She was a confident, listened to my woes regarding my recent break up, was very consoling etc. My ex-husband agreed in the investment. He was away on a holiday in Europe when I confronted him with the investment. He agreed with the investment.
When I got off the phone the advisor advised me to put the funds into my personal name and make the investment joint because we going to get divorced and the property would be divided equally. She advised with not paying off 3 mortgages - one held a very high interest rate. This mortgage had to do with a business we had and needed the cash flow at that time. The three mortgages equaled to nearly 800,000.00. She said not to payoff off the mortgages due to high penalties with early payoffs. She then did a evaluation of the income that needed to maintain the mortgages. First major mistake.
She then returns 2 weeks later looking for another investment I had equipment of course in the corporation's name. I told her I had an interested party I have a deposit and he was going to come up with the rest of the cash the following week. She said "you should do the investment". I went along with it but then I gave it some thought and wanted to change my mind. I tried telling her I was not comfortable with it and wanted to cancel. She said it was too late that the investment was on route to head office. She also said "Let it go through." Ok. The sale fell through the cheques went NSF. Then my investments were taking a nosedive the economy went down - this was 2008. The high interest mortgage owner kept on renewing my mortgage with administrative fees. Long and short she said to consolidate the 3 mortgages was unable to do that. I decided to pay off the mortgage which left the investments at 0 now.
Now I couldn't afford to live in my current house - had to take out another 2nd mortgage for cash flow while the house sold. She referred me to a mortgage broker told the mortgage broker get her a mortgage "she has lots of money". Ok so the house sold had a recreational property in another province moved there for the interim. Prior to moving I got advice from a lawyer that what she did was negligent and for the benefit for herself and PFSL, tax consequences. Further the payoff of the mortgage was after tax dollars more losses. Then when I was reviewing my statements I came across some redemptions I was unfamiliar with. Called the investment companies "They came back with they have letters of direction with signatures confirming them to remove funds for the losses of the previous investment where the cheques became NSF." I asked for the letters of direction. I received them the signatures were not ours.
I called the policy, did a complaint. They confirmed it was definitely not our signatures but couldn't confirm that it's the advisor's. Prior to when I made the initial investments earlier on the other account holder was away on holidays the application needed to be signed. I told her I have the other account holder's stamp and was authorized to use it. She said it can't be used. She progressed with signing the application, in other words forged his signature. She did that with the 2nd application as well. Back to the lawyer he said that I should do a statement of claim - I did. I also complained to PFSL. She denied all allegations that the complaint department said I was making these claims because of the losses of my investments. So in other words forget about going to the securities board they look after their own (and the lawyer also said that as well).
So we are at the process of questioning. She doesn't remember a lot of things. She had notes that didn't coincide with documents I had. So now we're preparing to go to court. Lawyers for PFSL come up with an application for security of costs meaning I have to come up more money. In the event I lose their costs would be cover. Let me tell you they came up with high costs so in other words they're trying to costs this claim so I couldn't afford to continue. By this time I am penniless. my estranged won't help he says it's my action I have to fix it. So in the end I couldn't come up with the security costs. They made an application for dismissal of the claim plus high costs for the actions. At one time they wanted double costs the master said no. They requested for the dismissal of statement of claim based on the order to read a dismissal as if that there was a trial and dismissed.
So in the end here is the conclusion: PFSL does/helps with the advisor with cover ups with documents. The advisor gets off scot-free. They pocketed commission based on the investments. I am broke lost the 1.200,000.00 investment. Was forced to sell my house here and was forced to sell the recreational property. CCRA had writs against me for the transfer of the funds into my personal name. The writs were more or less taken made from my portion of the property. My ex-husband says the writs are in my name I am responsible. He gets off scot-free. In the end a claim that was based on what the advisor said I should do get off and I have no money. I have rheumatoid arthritis - can't work and am now on social security. I suppose within Primerica they might be some honest advisors but I picked the one that stopped at nothing to get my money.
Most of the advisors lack financial education are educated with whatever PFSL has offered and are called professionals in their field. This one called herself a financial advisor without the letters. My ex-husband and were self-employed for 20 years gathered up the money and retire with some comfort. So the bottom line is this always have an accredited professional advice you with your investments such as accountants, financial advisors or lawyers. Think about what is the best strategy. Do not become buddies as she said we were friends. Friendship and money don't work. I went to their meetings - a lot of excitement, cheering. They say the banks are your enemies you pay high taxes (I wonder what they did). They try to recruit you. I tried the recruitment thing. I hated it.
PFSL is not a good company, untrustworthy. I wouldn't trust them especially if they know your assets and cash available, and you're in a low point in your life. On occasions I wanted to go to her supervisor with problems. She would say "No don't do that." That should have been a clue. I caution anybody who thinks of investing with them. When your money is gone so are they. They cover up mistakes with documents altering. I caution doing business with them. Incidentally if you're from Calgary this is where I'm from and found this lovely person.

Okay, so my first experience with Primerica was in 2015 the beginning of 2015. I was approached at a job fair in Commerce, CA by a mid-20s early thirties man and asked out of the blue if I was interested in a job, and I asked him what was it about. He told me financial services. I said okay where at? Right. He said Bell Gardens. I said okay, gave him my phone number to an app where I can only receive text messages on, and he called or so I think it was them calling every now and then up until January 2015. I decided to answer through this app and it was his wife. She convinced me to come in for the interview. I show up for this interview and I'm in a room with another guy about to get this presentation. Okay, I didn't like the way it was going and he asked me why I thought like an employee instead of a business owner, simply said "I'm 18 yrs old what am I gonna do with a business".
Getting to the point, I had the one on one interview and got the "job" sure. She talked to my parents and stuff, like okay cool. I was really excited that I got this "job". Wasn't going to school at the time. Anyways I passed my exam in February the second time. They were nice at first but once you got to know them, they really know how to manipulate you so much. They make you think you're gonna make especially at a young age. I was not a very hard worker because it wasn't something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Commissions suck! They do. They first tell you that the policies you close you get paid for them. Hmmm... Okay. Bring in your people and we can help them, okay. I did this for four months straight and got "paid" the money I worked for. With the help of my "regional leader". Okay thank you for that.
But what I didn't really realize until I brought my boyfriend in was that they tell you that you can grow when in reality we'd have meetings about talking ** about those who don't do much. They legitly had a bunch of chairs in the back room that said "those with zeros". They would literally look back and tell everyone else that that was embarrassing. I legitly wasted so much time trying to "build my team" than I was making. I supposedly got paid but ended up getting sued by these people saying I was given a loan??? Honestly this may sound gibberish, but c'mon I was 18 years old with hardly any experience in handling money. Primerica is a company that will manipulate you into thinking you're making money but in reality you're getting a "loan". This is **. I worked hours a day to prospect, "get trained by my regional leaders", and make money??? Literally be taking up about 10-12 hours of community service. WASTE OF TIME!

My daughter was approached by an employee of this company recently about a job. This person's name was Bri and she claimed to work for a company by the name of 'PFS Investments', who we've discovered is really Primerica, who were currently hiring. She claimed to like my daughter's attitude and said that was currently hiring and that my daughter would make a great salesperson. She wouldn't give me daughter much information aside from that.
My daughter told her that she was currently in school and doing her internship program and would not be available until end of June. She also told her that she did not have a car. Bri told her none of this information mattered and that they could work around all of that. She told her to come to an interview Monday evening at 7pm. As a parent, I was sketchy because really who has heard on an interview at 7pm?! I agreed to let her go, as long as she took someone with her.
My daughter went to what she assumed was an interview but which ended up being a presentation for this company. Not once had she been told what this company sold, what the job entailed, or that this was not an actual interview! During this presentation, which still did not really answer any of the above questions, a presenter singled my daughter out and had her removed from the room. My daughter did not say anything negative, as a matter of fact she did not say anything at all. She was simply sitting there listening but because she was not as animated as the others in the room he had her basically kicked out.
The person that escorted her out then began to grill my daughter as to why she was quiet and did not participate. My daughter told him that she had gone to school, then work, then rushed here for an interview. The guy told her to go home and then come back tomorrow to complete the presentation. My daughter told him that she could not as she did not have a car, and that it had been a struggle to get there today. She then asked him questions as to what this job really was. This guy told her that a car was needed so why was she even there and if she had questions to go watch the YouTube video for their company.
I know I sound like an angry mother but really, what professional company behaves in this manner? Where they mislead people into thinking they are interviewing for a job just to get them in the door to listen to a presentation that still did not answer questions? I see now why they refuse to share any information when asked. They seem to prey on people who will be easy enough to manipulate into their scams. I mean they were telling all these young kids in the room that college was a waste of time and giving them large figures of what they could make with them, while not telling them what exactly it was they had to do to earn it. My daughter told me that it sounds like a pyramid scheme and she was glad to get out of there when she did.
She texted the girl who recruited her to tell her what had occurred and to let her know of her displeasure in having her time wasted. Bri has not texted her back which is exactly what I expected. Beware of this company. If this is how they behave with potential candidates, I can only imagine how they treat their customers.

I have invested with Primerica since 2006. In 2009 I was married and legally changed my name. Primerica continued to take my investments until 2015 at which time they said that they had no record of me. I have been unable to invest with them or move my investment. I have sent legal documentation of my name change multiple times and they have "lost it" each time I have sent notarized copies. In addition, they told me that my Social Security number was incorrect the last time that I tried to communicate with them. They then informed me that they had inputted the data incorrectly and reversed my Social Security number and my birth date. For over a year I have been trying to rectify this situation and there is no end in sight. My recommendation for anyone planning to invest money is to find another company and never ever invest in this company.

Odd that those who complain did not make it in this business. I went to IU for finance and make a very good return on my investments. I handle many buy term and invest the difference clients just like the famous Dave Ramsey suggests. If you are not interested in the work to build a basin less then Primerica is not for you but neither will any other opportunity to have a business. They all require hard work. Start at bottom is a complaint but then seldom see people get a job at the top, usually years of hard work and lower income to move up but when you do not get rich in six months on a MLM opportunity you call it a scam.
PRI on Wall Street is impressive place to review. Forbes is impressive and every Better Business B in every state or go visit the 2,000 employees who work hard to make Primerica a great company in Duluth, GA. You will be welcome. This is well-paid employees that do awesome professional jobs for over 100,000 active agents working hard to build a dream for clients and a business for themselves. If you want get rich quick buy a lottery ticket which give you about 1 in 200 million in odds but never hear that is a scam or drains people of money. They do not have or start a business of your own. Work hard and be dedicated to success. Any business that you can own or go to work and build others' dreams and watch only the owners get wealthy. A scam is an excuse by individuals too lazy to do the work. Hire them and watch them do as little as possible for what you pay them.

I know that a lot of people have issues with Primerica. So far I've not had one complaint. The issues that I see people complain about are: 1. The 125.00 Initial Fee and $25 recurring fee - Within 30 days of joining Primerica, I completed the training, the licensing test and recruited 3 people and made 3 sales as well. At this point I am up $300. The $99 that I have paid for the training and background check have already been returned to me because I passed the licensing exam. So that is free.
2. I think that the problem that most people have is that Primerica uses MLM as its marketing method. You have to think of MLM as a product/service distribution method which relies on word of mouth advertising. Sure you can call it a pyramid scheme, but in my opinion, the financial education that one receives as a customer and a rep are well worth the $25 monthly recurring payments.
If you are looking for a job, then Primerica is not for you. If you are looking to start a business then it might be an option for you. Where else can you start a business and offer highly rated financial services for the total cost of $99 and a recurring overhead of $25 (which by the way provides you with access to tons of training material and other tools to help you grow your business). The company is publicly traded - which in my mind dispels the scam claims that I see so often. MLM is not for everyone. It requires you to grow beyond your current level of development and to stretch a little. Primerica is in many ways just like any other job... If you don't work, you don't get paid.

Yes I admit there are some people out there who work for Primerica who shouldn't be working for us. They give my company a bad name. I work a full time job and do this part time. I spend about 10 hours a week doing it. It has been very easy for me to make $2000 to $3000 extra a month. Maybe I'm an exception to these other people writing negative things. Or just maybe these people who sit around and write negative things all day long on different websites really don't have anything else better to do. These people have failed at most things they've tried in life and they don't want to see anybody succeed since they couldn't. Primerica has been great for my family.

The reason for this review is to hopefully stop someone from making one of the worst decisions of their life. As I looked up Primerica reviews to see what was out there, I came across constant LIES. I would say negativity but the reason I say lies because literally most of these reviews don't make sense. I am a Regional Leader with Primerica. 'Til this day I had never found such an amazing group of people that all wanted to do what was right. I've worked for many companies before but never one like this. This company does what's right for the client 100% of the time. The reviews on here about the product are complete lies.
Reason is be chase when it comes to life insurance, we're the only company that ONLY does GUARANTEED Level term - meaning what you pay when you get the policy stays the same for the amount of years you purchase it for. Meaning we don't raise prices at all compared to every other company out there. Don't take my word for it, just ask Suzie Orman or Dave Ramsey. In case you don't know who they are, look it up.
And when it comes to the business side of it, it's crazy how people think that a pyramid is when you have an opportunity to build a business. Literally it's the same way everywhere. With schools, dealerships, doctors' office, lawyers' firm. People make money off of other people. THAT'S BUSINESS. Only difference is that this company allows you to be the one making the money, not the one getting paid minus wage. It's called a pyramid? People are jokes. Are you kidding? You just don't want to work, you want to find a reason why - to justify why you have poor people habits and do not comprehend 21st century business. The real scam is working 40+ years for the man, getting told how much you're worth an hour, when you're hungry, when you can use the bathroom, when you could spend time with your kids.
Keep believing what most people say out there so you could live like most people - like 75% of them do paycheck to paycheck. Or you can be open-minded, see the bigger picture and actually give it a chance and change your family tree forever. This company is literally giving you a shot at becoming a MILLIONAIRE. Do like I did and commit, don't quit like you have in everything else in your life. Do something big, something worth talking about. Stop listening to your broke friends because you will turn out like them. Become someone you can be proud of.
I hope this stops at least 1 person from making a horrible decision and listening to the masses. I came from a third world country, this is my second language, I don't have a degree and this company gave me a shot. I am projected to cross the 100k mark this December! This is a beautiful business with even better people that believe in you and will help you do things you can't imagine! I'm a real person that all I did was believe. You can do it too. I can't even use correct grammar and make it to the top in this business. I'm sure you and your AA/bachelors/Masters or Doctorate can!

I am submitting this review to share my experience with Primerica. I have read many negative reviews about the integrity of the agents with regards to keeping appointments or recruiting efforts. I was raised in middle America with both parents being 1st responders. I went to school, got the education and "good" job, but then was downsized as a result of conditions I could not control. Remember that employees are expenses to a company and when the company needed to cut expenses they went to the highest paid-most experienced to reduce costs. You see I had trained my staff well and a manager is "taught" to do. So effectively I trained my replacement and they were paid less.
I needed a new "job" so I looked at the Primerica business model and I was brilliant. They would train me to get my state insurance licenses, my federal securities license and help me build a sales team for my one office. All I had to do was pass a background check to ensure I was not a criminal. People complain that the candidate needs to pay $99 for a background check and that is part of the "scam". I welcome the background check since it ensures that criminals are excluded! Primerica offered a bonus in the 1st 30 days that repaid my $99 so I can get started for free!
Now let's see what I got for free: 1) State and Federal Licensing education 2) Complete back office management systems to include policy processing and credit card acceptance 3) Highly professional marketing materials, and a personal website 4) Immediate vendor relationships with the top rated companies in the financial services market that I could not qualify to establish if I were on my own. So I broke into a new market segment for free and had instant vendor relationships and national branding with the largest financial services marketing organization in North America. I had to market my new company the same as if I just started my new law, dental, CPA or other professional practice, yes I would start by telling friends and family. Networking with a friendly market. Primerica has a strong corporate culture of integrity and branding. They were rated in forbes top 50 most trusted Financial Companies in America in 2015!
Do some representatives perform outside that culture. Yes. The same as some lawyers become "ambulance chasers" or all politicians come to be seens as crooks. Each RVP (Broker) can build their own culture the same as a real estate broker can build under one of the national brands. So don't hold the company accountable for low professionalism of individuals. Where else can the average American get a free financial analysis of debt and overall protection with a plan of action to meet their goals? Where else can the average American break into the lucrative financial services industry for just a background check? I stopped living life just on the weekends. Trading a minimum of 5 days a week or 71% of my time for that paycheck. There is problem with debt and financial security in America, I am solving it one family at a time and I am making money doing it. Making money and helping people. Sound terrible doesn't it?
That is American entrepreneurialism! Remember: Employers are not afraid that their employees are average at what they do. Their deepest fear is that they are powerful beyond measure and find a purpose that drives us to expand beyond the box they have placed us within! So use the time you have earning a pay check, to leverage that income into a business that can replace the salary with income that will generate wealth and freedom to live a life of fulfillment. Then teach others how to do it for themselves! Perhaps Primerica is a solution for you.

There is something wrong with this company. Today the 4th recruiter from Primerica called me about working for them in the last 3 months. I had to pry just to find out what the position was. I know who they are as I am a seasoned finance professional and I was once a licensed insurance agent. The gentleman (and I say that loosely) refused to tell me what the position was. He repeatedly told me I will have to come to their office if I wanted to know. I have been contacted by dozens of companies about future employment and no reputable company forces a potential candidate to beg for information. He wouldn't tell me the title of the position. He wouldn't tell me what the job responsibilities were and he wouldn't tell me if it was a commission based position. He insisted I would have to come in to find out those key facts. I told him 3 times, "Thank you for contacting me", but I wasn't interested. He eventually just hung up on me.
I have been in the business world for 40+ years, and I have never seen such unprofessional behavior in my life except by scam artists. I have written directly to Primerica and advised what has transpired. I told them not only would I not buy their products, I would not work for a company that has no respect for potential candidates or customers. I will also spread this information by word of mouth and I know 100s of people. I also told them to immediately remove me from their call list. I advised that if they did not stop, I would file a harassment complaint, starting with the phone company. Reverse phone number look up gave me their carrier and address. Good luck to anyone that is lured into the Primerica dark hole!

Primerica is a business opportunity, if you ain't a boss you won't succeed, so I will post again 6 months from now on my progress. Best company I worked for and it's only been a week, the others in the company are so passionate on helping families gain knowledge and be properly protected. We teach about finances, and were on a crusade to get people out of the fantasy world and bring them to reality. "They say the truth will set you free - that's ** - the truth will get you mad. But you know what the truth hurts and it hurts so bad to the point where you do something about it and you take responsibility." I know my office is great. Great vibe. All entrepreneurs in the room, very loud people. The noise is kind of annoying because I get migraines because I get migraines otherwise the ** is ** awesome.
I still enjoy. So you can say I got a job no scratch that I just opened up a business part time while I still work my 40 hour job hoping to make a big transition in a year. Sometimes I want to quit my job so I can have time to set more KTAS. I am so tempted but I can't take them types of risk - I'm a father. You have to remember if you ended up reading my article it was meant for you to give the company a shot, you can contact me - I'm a real agent that cares about his clients. It would be awesome for some feedback and help reach my goal to help people be financially independent. I'm a nerd that's probably why I love the free classes on....... so I'm writing this I guess because I really like Primerica and I want to defend the company from any haters or slanderers. Better Business Bureau creditable resource A+.

I joined Primerica because a family member convinced me to. He showed me successful people, and when I met a guy making $1,000,000 per year, I really believed I could do it. I thought (right off the bat), that the concepts, and products were good. I did some homework, in credible places, and read books on personal finance. I found the concepts to be solid, and the products to be competitive. I made $2400 in my 1st 6 months - not very much, and not what I thought I would earn. After analyzing my activity, I realized that there were a lot of people around me making money, and helping families own the products. So, it had to be me. I submitted to intense training. I wanted to get better. The very next month, I made $3000. I continued to work hard, and in 5 years I made $100,000 in a 12 month period.
I understand the feeling that people go through, and the frustrations, when you think you are doing everything right. The problem is - you don't know what you don't know. I really have to look at myself in the mirror, and take responsibility for my failures. Now I get to take responsibility for my successes. As someone else said - this business is not for everyone. It's not for quitters, whiners, blamers, cry babies, or wimps. It IS for people that have read a book on personal finance, and realize the concepts are sound. It IS for people that want to be in charge of their future, and take responsibility for their position in life. And, it is for people that don't want to struggle paycheck to paycheck.
I don't want to get into a debate with a bunch of victims (of their own doing). But, maybe if the people spent as much time pursuing their goals, instead of formulating their exit plan, before even giving it their best, they would be successful. I just recently delivered a check to the widow of a friend of mine that just passed away. He had a London Life policy for $80,000 before I met with them. I replaced it with $480,000, 10 years ago. Thank you Primerica for giving me the opportunity to save a family with 3 children from financial ruin. I would recommend this company for a career, for their products, and for their training. It's a self development program, with a high compensation package attached to the back end. GAL 6:9.

So the first time coming to the office I did not know anything. My friend just brought me. Everyone was so well dressed and was greeting me nicely, I was the youngest one of the new people there but I understood everything and I love it! Most of the reviews here I see are bad but if I earned $400 dollars in just a few minutes having a policy for my mom what does that tell you? Also I had the team help me through everything! And licensing and now I have my own team growing. :)
