While searching for positions in Atlanta, GA the majority are from outlying regions. That wouldn't be bad except Duluth, Alpharetta, and Tucker are about 20 miles from Atlanta zip codes. This practice is blatantly and falsely advertising job locations. It may look like there are plenty of postings in Atlanta but in reality there are only a few represented by Indeed. Of course there are plenty of postings but they come from about a 75 mile radius ALL COMING UP AS BEING IN ATLANTA. This is a complete time waster for job applicants not willing to drive 5 hours a day. It is a huge time waster.

My name is Robert and I own a service company with around 0 people! After posting around 10 job offers no one was performing well! I had a phone call from Ryan ** who is Indeed account executive! I told him that Indeed website is not performing and he asked me to copy the info from job description and to fill out a Indeed hire page where a Indeed specialist will help with finding a candidates! After 2 days I received a call from Callen and she stated sending me a emails with different names and candidates. She also mentioned that she will stop our regular job search engine where I said OK!
So after several interviews we hired 2 guys and Callen asked me to sign a agreement. I said OK! So after a week I received a 2 invoices for $7900. Almost $8K! I have been trying to get in touch with Ryan. So far no luck, I'm canceling all of that with Indeed but no one explained what and how the Indeed Hire works, my average budget for a Month is around $300! On top of that one of the hired guys did not showed for work after second day at training! Whole system is a scam and I'm moving to ZipRecruiter!

Ad taken down and account suspended for no legitimate reason. They stated that we can't charge any fees, which our company does not, but they continue to suspend my account. I could have been a paying customer, but within minutes of posting my job, They suspended my account with no fair ability to see if this platform would be right for me. This is the best way to piss off a customer and to show your poor ability to resolve issues or work a situation out. I'm very displeased with their lack of ability to resolve the situation and make it right. Hopefully this is a blessing that I got suspended so that way I don't end up spending money on something that may not have been a good fit.

Updated on 05/01/2020: Indeed is still posting nonexistent jobs on their site! The location for the company name is fictitious! Is it to pretend they have more opportunities than they really do or it’s just irrelevant if the information they post for their clients is correct or not? Which could be disastrous if one applies to the position when personal info is involved. Be careful with this company, something's off. Don’t waste your time as I did AND a second time no less! Also once again started receiving numerous scam calls on my cell. I don’t know why I went back to them, the Covid-19 has me searching for another position and I guess.. it was desperation. So sad that you can’t even trust a well known job platform during such difficult times. They never responded to these same allegations back in 2018 so not expecting one now. Stay away! If anyone does want to reach out I can provide proof.
Original Review: I recently moved to Miami Beach and starting job searching on Indeed. I applied to numerous positions posted, but couldn’t get an interview. I decided to contact one of the companies that’s was supposedly looking to hire here in Miami Beach (they were actually in California) and I was told by the manager there that they didn’t even have a location in Florida. Then I went back and googled some of the other positions offered and couldn’t pull up anything on the other companies in this area. They did not exist! I find it despicable that a person can sit and send resumes and cover letters all day, everyday only for the amusement of Indeed’s CEO. I have proof of their deception for I saved 2 PDF’s of fake jobs. There’s more on their site but I can’t waste any more time with them. Go look for yourself, you’ll see. EMPLOYERS - DO NOT PAY TO USE THEIR SERVICES! They are unethical and cannot be trusted.

I own a well established recruiting firm and although we do not post ads for our clients we decided to utilize Indeed to post ads for a number of internal recruiters we were looking to hire. Initially, the posted ads drew decent response, but many of the candidates indicated that they had never applied to our job and some were genuinely surprised their resume was even on the site! Then our ads were suddenly pulled down and we were informed that our firm would never be allowed to post on the site again!
Indeed refused to provide an explanation and when confronted with a request to review the decision indicated; "The account has gone through our reviewing process and our team has concluded that we will not be able to show these openings in our search results. This is a company-wide decision for all your company accounts. This decision is irreversible and final." They NEVER will allow our firm to post on their site again! It seems to me that a decision such as this should be transparent. This company will take your money and will leave you with nothing but lies!

In Canada, this website appears to be a front for jobs and they are targetting the unemployed. I went to a few interviews through them and the interviewer was asking psychological questions which did not have much to do with the job. Another interviewer is supposed to be a manager at a hotel but only works there once a week, which sounds odd. Then she suddenly said the job was taken and they will hire in April again. Why so far off? Indeed is a fraudulent website and company and they are misrepresenting themselves to the public. The companies that use them are probably letting interviewers use their facilities for interviews and they get paid off for it. They are wasting time of job seekers and abusing them by doing this. This is total corruption. Anyone have a similar experience let me know. This is a very serious matter.

This site had the audacity to want only charge my credit card $422 for an ad that I DID NOT EVER PLACE! (They'd had my card from when I'd attempted months ago to use their service!). It took more over half an hour of aggravation on the phone, so they could tell me to "look for my full refund in 3-5 business days!" WTH?!? How DARE they steal MY money and then expect for ME to wait for them to return it?!? It's like they made themselves a no-interest LOAN! Talk about irresponsible, wanton derelicts!
I currently use two other reputable sites to advertise for employees and I will NEVER bother with Indeed again! I feel like they knocked me down and stole my purse! (*I instructed them to delete my account and never to harass, harangue, or pickpocket me AGAIN!) With this level of irresponsibility, it is my opinion that they shouldn't be trusted with someone's credit card or personal information! Just imagine if I were a huge company -- I might've never caught the unauthorized charge that they egregiously made when they decided to help themselves to MY MONEY!

They don't tell you the whole truth about billing or candidates. I needed to hire a person experienced in my business and after working out the bugs the first couple of days I was told by their rep that adding licensed or experienced in front of the title would assure me of getting only the qualified people I was looking for. That was as far from the truth as could be expected. Once I changed my ad to read "Experienced" I still continued getting 75% of resumes that weren't even close to knowing my business and it cost me close to $300 in less than 1 week, that's $81,200 a month if I kept it going. The only ones that benefited from my ad was Indeed.com. I calculated ZipRecruiter would have been less costly for me to use. It would have cost me for 1 month what I paid for 1 week with Indeed. A representative called me to explain the details I wanted to include in my posting would come at a cost. I agreed to the cost but could not proceed because as she explained I will have to appeal and wait for the compliance department to reactivate my account.
After receiving an email with no explanation that my account will remain disable I appealed again and explained that one of their reps called me and told me what I needed to change about my ad, and if they can simply delete the current post so that I can pay for the ad. Again it was denied. This is my first time attempting to use Indeed so I'm wasn't razor sharp on the details of posting. The errors were extremely mediocre fixes. In the past three years of utilizing Indeed.com to look for a job, I have never once been offered a position. Most recently, from July 2018 to September 2018, I submitted/applied for 204 jobs. Each submission included a cover letter along with my professional resume. 204 jobs, and zero results in terms of gaining employment.
Also, I elected to have job alerts sent to me via email from Indeed.com. Every single email alert had EXACTLY the same jobs as the email before it, and I would generally receive 5 email alerts from Indeed.com, back to back, again, ALL WITH THE SAME JOB LISTINGS. It got to a point in which I had to turn off the job alert option. After I elected to discontinue email alerts, I would search for jobs on the Indeed job board. Jobs would be posted, and upon further review of the job requirements, 75% of the time, the job opening had "expired". If it's expired, please remove it from the job board.
I have never wasted as much time applying for jobs as I did using Indeed.com. Again, 204 resumes submitted, with cover letters, over a two month period, and zero results. The woman who contacted me said she can't disclose the details of the persons and she says the names of those guys as Jatin, Rishab. My medical was taken and service charges were taken. I was taken aback when the woman said the guys name who as per my meeting with them were Muslims and she said Hindu names. Her way of talking was changed when I gave money but earlier she was very sweet and saying like I have to reply otherwise her boss will scold her. They said in the contract solutions for success but seal is success for solutions. She said I have to wait for 45 to 50 days to get recruited which earlier was not mentioned.
I am totally disappointed by Indeed website because they have the reputation of being the top but they are unable to take action on such people. Indeed simply is such a platform where anyone can act as anything. I came to know that licence is needed for running a consultancy but they are not considering these important things. If a normal person has to enter a hotel room he or she has to show identity card. Same in order to register in Indeed as an employer or consultant he has to show licence should be the rule. I even have contact numbers of those people. ** are the numbers from where they call. I even asked the agent can I get my medical done separately so his reply was if you get medical from us it will be cheap and 100% possibility will be assured even if I am failed. Since applying on Indeed for jobs, using the "easily apply" option, I NEVER hear from the employer. What I do get is a TON of out of state calls and texts. These people NEVER and I repeat -- NEVER -- leave a message even though they "claim" to be calling you about a job. I have now REMOVED ANY phone numbers off of any resume as it relates to Indeed, because obviously, someone's phishing off of the information on your resume and selling it. If you cannot post your resume or information on Indeed without the fear of it getting sent to scammers or even being accessible to scammers, simply put, stop posting it on Indeed. Because, frankly, none of this garbage started until my resume was put on Indeed. When my resume/cover letters were removed, so were the scam texts and emails stopped.
I now ONLY apply direct on the company sites. That way, I have the assurance that it is going directly to the direct hire employers ONLY. Also, if I cannot locate the company using google search (name, address, local phone number), I don't apply. Period. No local address or phone number tells me it's a non-existent company. Once I can see it on google, I go directly to the company site, click on careers and apply on their site under their career section. Indeed is a source to advise you of who may be hiring, but it by no means indicates that you have to go through THEM to apply for it. For employers that MAKE me HAVE to go through Indeed, I pass on them, because if an employer really wants to fill the position and they want applicants from different walks of life and are utilizing different options, they'll find more than one avenue to do so.

When I tried a third time, nothing posted. It was as if I was “blocked.” I know for a fact my previous company pays Indeed to remove any reviews that doesn’t say what they want. I worked there for 10 years and I’ve seen a lot.
What is the point of having reviews if you and the company you’re protecting, decide what can and cannot post. I have seen several other post speaking on the racism and other issues within this company and yet they were able to stay (Unless you missed those). I explain to him that in most agencies, there are no training wages being paid to a new agent (or if any very few do), he then takes my statement back to a review team.
I then begin receiving countless emails from him on things to update on my postings in order to get them to now approve the account for us to post jobs. He proceeds to send me further instruction for the next 2-3 days on things to update. The Last email from him states that in order for them to post now I would have to "Sponsor" any job at their required sponsorship options for the review team to now place them on the site. Indeed.com has lost me as a small business owner job poster. It has scamming practices and unfair practices as to their terms and conditions for my agency versus agencies on the site.

Now that they increased the charge to view resumes by 233% and 150% and I don't search, it should have gone down. I've advertised on Indeed reluctantly over the last couple years. I'd say less than 5% of applicants are qualified for the job, and less than 2% are qualified for the job, and actually know what job they applied for. You could require an MBA and a degree from Harvard in mathematics, and you'd still have high school kids with no experience applying, and paying for those applications. Example: I was hiring a management position for my retail business, it required 1 year of management or 2 years of retail, and living in my city. Out of the 50 applications I got, 5 met my requirements. Of that 5, only 2 actually were interviewed because the other 3 didn't even know they applied for the job. That campaign cost me $100USD and I never did hire from it. My last job post had about 100 applicants, and maybe 4-5 were worth interviewing, but barely. The amount of time to review these 'applications' was hardly worth the effort and definitely not worth the money.

Is there a reason why they will not print negative reviews on employers? The positive reviews are obviously written by the executive team.

Beware of the Double-Talk and the Bait and Switch. I advertised a job listing on the Indeed website and we were told the Daily Rate $30.00 selected was simply a ceiling to ensure we would not spend in excess of that amount, but our actual charges would be based on the amount of clicks we received per day. If you get this double-talk be sure to ask the cost per click, because the inference is your click charge cannot exceed .20 - .30 cents per click. WRONG!!!
These rip-off artist are have something called a daily average (which they don't fully explain) that did, in my case, cost something to the tune of $5.30 per click. I was ripped-off for basically $376.00 dollars for the month, and the real insult was we only had 6 applicants and didn't hire any of them. We paid $35.00 for a Craigslist ad and received a much greater response. When I called to speak with someone about the confusion, I got a bunch of more rude double-talk with no viable solution. My next stop is to write the Attorney General's office about this Double-Talk/Bait and Switch tactic used by this company.

I have worked with Indeed over the last three months and posted three positions. I have "sponsored" all of them which means we have a budget and pay per click for anyone looking at our postings. Two of these three positions is "open" and yet I cannot find them anywhere on Indeed when I specifically search for them and I've tried to contact Indeed over chat, two phone calls, and email with no success. I think the interface they have for employers is great but it's frustrating not being able to find my postings that we are paying for and even more frustrating not being able to talk to a customer support person.

Our business recently posted for help on Indeed. We chose a $50.00 for part time help. We had went through that budget in a week with several applicants, yet not one followed up, even though we did on our end and they "claimed" they were interested. Concerned that where we were only offering part time we open the position up to full time and added another $50.00 to our budget. The same exact thing happened with only one applicant showing up and when he was done his interview he asked our manager to sign a paper to show he had been there for an interview! Makes total sense! These applicants are applying in order to get their unemployment benefits. When I contacted Indeed they said it was good in that it enables me to disqualify candidates! They were not even interested to being with. It is like throwing your money out of the window! Do not bother!

I recruit home based people for my company, across a number of countries. Firstly, there is no allowance for home-based work and I have to choose a city in that country, which means I limit my options for employees. There needs to be a home-based/telecommute option. But that's not the main thing. When I started I was only recruiting for Australia, but then my role expanded and I had to recruit for other countries. I placed notices for a few of these and at some point noticed that I had no response. I had to go into the site to find that my notice was not visible and I was expected to pay to make it visible. No explanation.
Eventually I found out it was because I was advertising in different countries. So I took all of them down and tried to use Indeed just for Australia, and still they wanted me to sponsor. To and fro with 'customer support' and no luck. As I see it I am now just like anyone else using the site. I promise not to post for other countries but they WILL NOT go back to how I was before and let me post free. This is discriminatory and just aimed at getting money for them. I am disgusted. Read all the other negative reviews before you use them.

I registered as an employer on Indeed.com, due to their reach and their claim that you can post unlimited free job postings. I went ahead, upon approval, to post 5 jobs for courier drivers on their site. I got a call from their sales rep, saying that paying for job postings will yield more candidates. I told them, that as a startup, I do not yet have a budget, but upon funding, we could end up being a lucrative customer for them.
After posting a total of 5 jobs, we received around 280 applicants in 3 days. Then, I was downloading another 30 that showed up on their portal and suddenly the applicant resumes disappeared. The message said that we were disabled and could dispute their decision. I did and spoke to one of their customer service reps. They said they would get back to me. One week later I receive an email that our type of jobs was not acceptable to them. How could that be? We were hiring drivers; not porno stars?
We went back and forth a few times and even after I offered to pay, they still refused to allow me to post again. It is almost like they have a bunch of kids working there. I called the Connecticut Attorneys Office and they indicated there was no reason to terminate us. Today, I filed a formal complaint with the State of CT Attorney General's office, plus spoke with top management at Google. Google reviewed my complaint and agreed with me that Indeed.com was wrong in their actions and may remove their listings from appearing on Google until Indeed changes their policies to not violate state laws. You cannot offer free job postings and then refuse to honor them.
Indeed should post clear policies as to their pricing and terms of free job posting, so it is easy to understand their policies. I am hoping Google follows through, which I think they will and remove Indeed from Google listings. Another issue I find with Indeed is their job listings are stale, 50% of the time, so as a job applicant, you waste time applying for jobs in Indeed.com. They are a horrible choice for employers and employees and I urge everyone to boycott Indeed.com. They are a horrible company and they blatantly violate state laws. Stay away at all costs.

I had been using Indeed to hire for courier positions for the last several months. With a "free" ad, I was receiving a steady stream of potential candidates. We have several site locations across the United States and due to the nature of our industry, turnover rate is higher than we would like it to be. After several months of posting ads, Indeed froze our account and stated that all our jobs needed to be sponsored from now on. I was contacted by their sales rep and after discussing our company needs, he indicated he was going to note the account and my ads should be fine. That never happened.
With a need to run the ads, I sponsored 3 ads for our site location. HUGE MISTAKE!!! The number of candidates came to a screeching halt. This was followed up by a sales rep wanting us to sign up for a monthly budget and he would guarantee the responses would increase. I expressed my concern over the lack of response after sponsoring an ad and he indicated he could guarantee a response with a monthly budget. It is when I realized this is nothing but a huge scam. I went back for months and checked my email and I never got a single candidate responding they are interested.
SO I gather 2 things: Either these resumes are fake and they are not real people, or Indeed has a filter and blocks your request and won't send your request to the candidates. Because they want you to sponsor ads and pay them even more to review the potential candidates, possibly that resume could cost you $10 or $15 or $20 on their site. I also have heard that they have employees who just click on you add to cost you more, because they charge you per click. Either way bad company taking advantage of both employees and employers. I vote we go back to "good old Craigslist".

I was told my resume was too detailed by coworkers, friends, family, foes etc. I was told many times by employers that I didn’t qualify for a minimum wage entry level part-time job or that position has been filled already, even though they’re still advertising it’s available in bold letters. I think INDEED wholeheartedly knows the jobs offered on their website are around 30% legitimate and 70% bs.
The employers who do call tend to be short and quick hoping you don’t answer mentality and also send robotic emails hoping you won’t reply or if you do it goes off into the black hole of the interweb. Something is up somewhere here when life experienced folk with no criminal records and decent credit are not what they’re looking for even in your own industry you’ve spent 21 years in. I think it gets to a point where you call bs on sending a resume and hope and pray you know someone, because that’s the truth about hiring. They always hire those that cannot steal their particular jobs based on insecurity and they hire those they know personally for their personal trust issues. Sad but qualified people all over country are unemployed because of the boys and now the all new girls club. Good luck to you next generation if this is where we’re heading. Their system cannot discern the difference between companies (for reviews, etc) if even one word in the company names match (example: Emerald vs Emerald Youth Foundation) yielding a string of listings not at related to whichever company you're trying to search. For as long as Indeed has been around, you'd think they would provide a way to filter OUT certain listings (example: I don't want to go through staffing companies which tend to do a lot of bait and switch listings).
One listing I had reported because the "employer" listed themselves as a University in my home city (there is no such university) and that was clearly a fraud. Was taken down temporarily and then put back up within 30 days, an indication that Indeed cares more about their revenue stream than the integrity of their listings. We pay for clicks and resumes, but we get clicks and resumes from mostly non qualified candidates. It usually costs me $300+ to hire one candidate.
On my last posting I must have made an error on my budget, because I received an invoice for $450 but I was no longer hiring. I hadn't received any resumes by email, which is highly unusual, so was not aware that my job was still posted until I received the invoice. I asked for clarification on the invoice but all that was sent in reply was the invoice total. I spoke with my rep and he was only able to tell me that I must have made a mistake on my budget. I appealed the decision, seeing as how I made a straightforward posting that called for individuals who have at least a year of customer service experience, and listed the benefits and responsibilities of working at our office.
My appeal email is as follows: “I would like to re-enable my disabled employer account. I am hiring candidates directly for my employer. My name is: [redacted] My work email is: [redacted]. My company name is: Nu Republic. My company website is: www.nurepublic.com. My work phone number is: [redacted]. I am located in the same place that I am posting jobs. A brief summary of the nature of the roles available, and other relevant details about my account: I'm a manager at a financial service office who is hiring to build my team for this coming tax season."
"The role would entail filing tax returns as well as consulting with clients regarding other financial services offered such as credit, lending, and insurance. We provide training and certification tools for our employees, and seek to use this platform to reach out to those who have the credentials or background to make a difference with our company and within themselves.”
This was on 12/30/2017. Today, 12/31/2017, I receive the following email: “Thank you for contacting Indeed. Your account was reviewed and unfortunately, the decision has been made that your advertisements cannot be shown on Indeed. No further action is required on your part. No additional details regarding this decision will be provided. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."
I checked the terms of service... None of the “don’ts” applied to me and I was left in confusion. Their statement “No additional details regarding this decision will be provided.” pretty much tells me that I’ll get no answer in regards to this decision. Let me start by saying that I know not every employers experience is a bad one so I can only speak on what happened with me and my business. We dealt with a rep who was very customer service oriented and did a great job in helping with our postings, she was very attentive so that was the temporary upside to this experience. My wife and I own an automotive service and repair shop so we had 2 postings for technicians. If you already use Indeed then you know that it's a pay as you go type of service which may seem great in the beginning but once it all works out it becomes quite the joke. Our listing was not only VERY specific as to what we were looking for in a candidate, but we also listed qualification questions that the person would have to answer so as to meet our criteria.
Along with a few actual automotive technician type candidates, we received an overwhelming number of fast food workers, convenience store workers, plumbers, landscapers, security guards, and a whole host of other ridiculous unqualified candidates. Indeed certainly gets you by charging you for every single posting VIEW, not for actual applicants but for every time somebody just views the post. A very frustrating experience to say the least and once it was all said and done and I called to confirm/complain about the crazy charges... That same fantastic customer service rep basically said "yeah, well they all look pretty good to me so I think you got your money's worth..."
I got my money's worth in spending $595.08 over a 6 week period to get resumes from a group of people who likely don't even know what end of a wrench to hold. In closing I would just like to say that you need to please be careful and don't let them tell you what a great source this is... It wasn't until the Account Representative from INDEED called me "upsell services" did I learn that I was accumulating 18/per day in sponsorship. I want to add that although I saw a slight upsurge in resumes, they were all candidates requiring VISA! I freaked out when I learned I had amassed a fortune in charges and the only way to review your account is to log into account services!
Their FREE service is VERY DECEITFUL and MISLEADING! Ironically, my teammate made the same mistake, and after hearing my story, we looked at her FREE job posting, to see that she too fell victim to the small print, and the best part was it was attached to MY ACCOUNT! BEWARE and PLEASE READ THE VERY SMALL PRINT.

During my job search, I wanted to love Indeed. Nothing ever came from Indeed. That aside, my main complaint is when I was actively looking for a job, I read the company’s reviews. Of course you take it with a grain of salt, but I still found them useful. My current employer had one borderline negative/neutral review and a few other reviews that were decent.
After working here for about 6 months, I thought I would get online and refresh my resume (definitely no green grass over here). I noticed there was a really horrible review of my current employer. I brought it to a co-workers attention who come to find out blabbed it all over her network. Within a few days, the negative review was gone, the borderline negative review from a few years ago was gone and then a HR politically correct review was placed online. So, where did the REAL employee reviews go? They are no longer there. Seems that the employer wants to save face because they are a nonprofit and dismissed problems and high turnover. If this happens with my employer, how many other company negative reviews have been deleted? I guess everything can be bought.

As of yesterday, I ended my relationship with Indeed after 5 years? I wanna say? I ended our relationship. I loved Indeed. It was so organized and it seemed liked these people were on their stuff. They knew what jobs were hiring, and was on time with when the employers would post. Indeed made you felt like you was the only one. But after so many attempts with this app and just bad news from the employers, I gave up and went back to my first love. (MANPOWER) Which was yesterday. I filled out and job app for customer service and I got it the next day. I feel so relieved too. I feel great and ready to rock after so many months of unemployment, it feels good to work again. I cheated on Indeed all the time. I have needs that need to be met. I went to Craigslist. He would always satisfy my needs with a job but only temporarily.
I even went to Snag A Job which was my second love back in the day when I had left Manpower. But, they too treated me bad. Before I went back to Manpower I went to Jobcase. New kid on the block you know? He was attractive but it didn't work out. We never connected. Just got to greet each other but that was about it. At the end of the day, I am thankful that Manpower and I worked things out. I hope this time, we are in it for the long haul. So, long Indeed. Oh, and one more thing, I would like to say, even though you lied to me, I forgive you. You see, Indeed have a second, minute, month count under their job posts.
Well, recently I applied for Gainesville Regional Transit and come to find out, the HR contacted me through a manager and said, "We just received your app today. We are sorry to inform you but you didn't make the cut". See I contacted them first because I was wondering why they were thanking me for applying when I applied like 2 weeks ago. This happened again with some other jobs too. That or Indeed lying about the jobs period. I would go in into these companies and they be like, "No we didn't post that" or, "It's expired" or whatever. Basically Indeed, you're not reliable hun, but I forgive you for setting me up for embarrassment. Take care.

The site made a new change to require to put an SSIN/PIN number down before you submit the application. I don't think that this is fair for the applicants, because what if for some reason you can't find your SSIN/PIN? It just loses convenience for the consumer and it hurts their business in the long run. The good thing about the site I have to say is that its reliable and fast, and it offers locations and fits your requirements (most of the time). But I have to say that I've lost all hope for this site, and I think they should just retire the forced SSIN/PIN thing and/or just make it optional. Qualified Applicants: Most candidates were completely unqualified and said they had certain qualifications and a Driver's License but did not. Indeed.com takes no responsibility in this at all. They did give me a $50 credit on "clicks" to keep my business. That with my $50 budget, I should have had a bill for around $50 but after a few days, I had a bill on my ccrd for $72. I checked my Indeed account and found I had only around 10 clicks so where'd the $72 come from in less than a month? While not Indeed's fault, this platform fails to provide most people the important opportunity of finding work. An acquaintance and I have been using Indeed.com for 5 months, in different fields, and have yet to find any work. When I graduated with a four year degree, everyone told me how my prospects were high and how I can be easily selected for work due to my portfolio, skills, experience, etc. Well that never happened.
On Indeed.com, most of the work expect such high levels of requirements. Again, while it's not Indeed's fault, there's no way to make your job search any easier. I have applied to tens of jobs, up to a few a day (if possible). I rarely ever receive a reply for any reason at all from the employer/recruiter. And if I do, they would tell me my skills don't match their requirements. I honestly don't see where I don't match because I don't apply to places I don't have the skills for, but again, it's not about *me*, right? So sometimes, it makes me wonder, whether or not they filled the position and just decided to make an excuse. Or am I just so untalented and unlucky. Or, are the applications even go to the employers.
I'm trying my best not to sound like a disgruntled person with high expectations for a free website, but if it's meant to help people find work, then there needs to be a better advanced search that allows more reliability. If we, as people, make the effort to send our resume, cover letters, etc., there's no reason why employers can't simply reply yes/no. There needs to be a search for REAL filtering. If I'm a dentist, don't expect me to know brain surgery. That goes for any other field.
The overall experience I had on this website has been worse than Craigslist, therefore I'm no longer going to use it. Maybe, as other reviewers said, it's much more reliable to apply directly to company's websites. I tried not to make my personal problems the basis for this review, however it's almost unlikely since this website was where I was placing my hopes for regarding employment.

We tried Craigslist and the candidates were "shady" and a simple Google search brought up criminal activity. We heard about Indeed so I posted a job. We did get many resumes, about 70 to be exact. Of those 70 maybe 4 were actually worth looking into. Most were nowhere near qualified, we were getting resumes from female college students who worked in an office setting. The job clearly stated construction like environment, heavy lifting, etc...
Most of them had several misspelled words. Most only had a couple of lines per resume. I thought if we were paying $17.00 a day, they should at least screen for proper spelling and reject those resumes before they are sent to the employer. In total we spent $103.00 and threw out all 70 resumes. The pay rate was actually on the high end for a new hire.
