I started my dental implants 2 years ago. I was given a quote for $20k to do my top teeth and a specialized partial for my bottom teeth. I discussed in length them using both dental and medical to file claims since I have MS and virtually no Vitamin D. These 2 conditions have caused multiple bone issues, including causing my teeth to crumble.

At the preauth meeting, their Claims Manager (CM here on out) said my dental insurance (which is federal ins) pre-approved just over 8k to do all the work. I just had to pay 12k, 6k upfront and 6k just before they "seat my implants." I was assured that they were willing to do it all for 20k and that it included everything involved.

I paid the first 6k. Then had all my top teeth pulled and a temp denture created til my implants were ready. It is a lengthy process due to having posts put in my jaw bone that had to heal and all that goes with it. In that time, the first CM left and an office secretary was moved into her position. She claimed, more than once, that she was learning billing, etc. So I made it a point to make sure everything stayed on track with filing, my costs, etc.

There was a big snafu in billing because this new CM said I was all ready to go, but I had a bill for over $7k. I had not even gotten my implants yet and no one would explain it to me. I called MULTIPLE times asking what my insurance paid, did it get billed correctly, etc. I finally called corporate to get help when the CM refused to talk to me, return my calls, or explain the bills to me. All she would say is "that is what your ins didn't pay." She also lied and said she never said that yet I have a witness whom she explained it to after one of my procedures.

None of my bills showed what ins did or did not pay, only what I owed. It took months for me to get someone to sit down with me. It was a different CM, again, and only then, 13 months later, I found out they never filed anything with medical and the dental was never filed correctly (per my dental ins) so Claims were denied and the dentist never was paid. Had they bothered to explain this, call me back, and work with me, I could have helped them get the Claims resubmitted correctly and get them paid what they were owed. But they refused to give me any of their time until it was too late to submit ANY of those Claims (they only got one year to resubmit them).

I spoke with their corporate office and they even instructed me on how to help my dentist office get the right claims done before the time expired. But because no one would talk to me, it never got done. I was trying to help them get paid for the work besides my part of the contract. Throughout this entire time, I had complained that my temporary lower partial was extremely painful, did not fit, and was unusable. Not one person cared. I was blown off every time.

Then this past fall, we finally can move forward (fully healed) and I was still trying to get my lower temp partial fixed. The new denture tech even stated "no one could wear that!" when she saw my temp partial. I was also assured that once my implants were finished, my impressions could be done for my lower permanent partial, a special one I chose that they agreed to and that it would be done faster and easier than this whole process. But I needed to finish my top teeth first.

I went today to have my implants finished on top. Not only was it very painful and is causing nerve pain in my face, but I was told they would not be doing my lower partial, at all, despite me paying my portion for it. The first excuse by the dentist was that "no one understood how to bill medical insurance, that it was more of an oral surgery thing to do." (I had MAJOR oral surgery with her but she didn't bill them correctly despite me telling them I had spoken with my medical insurance?)

The second excuse was that it was "costing them far more than they anticipated." And She already had to pay another "5k to finish my top" than she expected. Is that MY fault? No. I could have helped her get payments if she had just taken 5 minutes before time expired for me to tell her what I was told BY ASPEN DENTAL. She even said "Aspen doesn't even know how to bill it with medical." Apparently they did if they walked me through it when I found out they had not been paid! I did the leg work! All she had to do was submit the Claims. She never did. My insurance said they never received one.

My med ins said it WAS a medical necessity, and all they needed was a claim, even gave me a fax number to make sure it went to the right place, which I gave to them. I have Federal insurance. It covers far more than average consumer insurance covers. My dental alone covers up to 25k in work. (This wasn't cosmetic. Without vitamin D, my bones crumble. With dentures the jawline wears away without the roots of teeth to hold onto, hence the need for posts implants placed in that bone.) My dental insurance found the preapproval and said the Claims were filed incorrectly. So they were denied payment. It had to be filed a special way indicating a medical necessity. It was not. Yet this office never did anything with the information I sent them.

I spent MONTHS gathering info, talking to my doctors, getting letters written for medical necessity, and calling this dentist office so they could refile the Claims. They never returned my calls, sat down with me, or did anything to get it done, until the time expired to refile. Now they refuse to finish the work I paid for. I paid my part. They contracted to do it for 20k; 12k from me, rest from my insurance. THEY filed it incorrectly. THEY refused to call or discuss it properly with me. And yet, I did all the leg work and am being penalized for THEIR incompetence!? The dentist also said "most insurances won't pay for this." Then why did they agree to start in the first place? They did not follow through on their end (despite over a year long attempt to help them get paid) and told me this last minute, 2 years after we started this.

I now have missing teeth on the bottom so I can barely chew food. My lower teeth have shifted drastically and are crumbling now. I have nerve damage to my mouth and face. She also admitted she had never done this type of implant, had to call in a specialist who had. She should have researched what all was involved and the cost and presented it before we ever agreed to proceed. Now I have paid 12k, have few lower teeth, no partial, have difficulty eating, the top implant does not fit properly and is excruciating causing nerve pain to my left face, and my lower partial will not be done at all, leading to even further damage of those remains teeth and jaw bone.

I have contacted an attorney. I will also contact the board of dentistry. I am only asking that they finish the work they agreed to. I should not be penalized because THEY screwed up. They should have had ALL of the costs before just throwing out a number they "were willing to do it for." She should have known exactly what she was doing BEFORE she started the work.

If they won't finish, I will go ahead with the attorney and sue for malpractice, breach of conduct, unethical behavior, pain and suffering as well as report her to the board of dentistry. If she has never done this, she had no business making me her guinea pig. She had already pulled all my teeth before saying she had never done this kind of implant. I don't know that much about them. SHE chose what kind of implants to do. SHE chose the cost she was willing to do it for. And SHE chose to not finish. Now what else can I do? I began my contact with Aspen Dental in Grand Forks ND in August of 2020. At my first appointment I voiced concerns that I had trouble communicating with the dentist and was assured that she was a good dentist and I would not have much contact with her, but instead with others in the office. She only did the actual dental work. Therefore, I continued working with her. I paid in full at that appointment and ever since then have gotten poor to worse service. Apparently we had a miscommunication the first appointment, which set everything back approximately 3 months. Then when I contacted the office, I was given incorrect information and only when I challenged the price I was quoted was I given the explanation of "She's a new hire and didn't understand" and assured I would only have to pay the price I'd originally been quoted.

Then when I had a follow-up appointment, they misunderstood what they were going to have to do that day, telling me the error was from outside their office. I decided not to trust them and gave them 2 days to order the parts needed. I then called back and was told that the person would check on the status and return my call that day. Nothing. I called back the next day and was told the same thing, they'd check the status and return my call that day. On the third day, I was told the same thing and I said no, I would hold while it was checked on.

I was then told the order had been placed just that morning. I asked why not the day I was in or the next, or the next, or the next and was told they always order on Fridays. However, if that were the case, they could have told me on Wednesday that orders are placed on Fridays or when checked on either of the first two days, I could have been called in that follow up (that never came) and informed of this. Again, I was told, "She's a new hire and didn't understand." At that point in time, I asked for the customer service representative's number at the next level up. I was later contacted by the office manager for the Grand Forks office. This is the one and only time I have gotten a return call from Aspen Dental. But today I got a call saying parts are in and I can come in on April 14 to start the process. No, I said. I need to get in sooner. Their errors are not my problem. I am now waiting, again, for a return call simply to schedule the appointment.

So my advice to anyone considering this option is to 1) find another, but if you must 2) always record every single conversation you have with the office, 3) never wait for them to get back to you, 4) always work on the assumption that you will have to go over their heads to get so much as a telephone call back, or 5) agree to pay them only upon completion of their services to you and then they will be paid in accordance with what they provide you. But still, my first and strongest recommendation is to go elsewhere!

BEWARE OF ASPEN DENTAL. The TV ads sounded good but I regret not checking the reviews before going there for dentures. I had to pay money up front, which Aspen kept, but I never received any dentures.

    My experience with Aspen included
    1. “Bait and switch” discount offer.
    2. No-show dentist/owner.
    3. Appointment cancellations and delays.
    4. Staff dentist wanted to fill 2 teeth which were going to be pulled prior to dentures.
    5. Expensive, unnecessary “treatments”.
    6. Charged for “treatments” never received.
    7. Lies

    8. Question to dentist regarding medication to be used during extraction process was ignored, which could be a health threat to a patient (Elder Abuse??)

Aspen previously lost a class-action lawsuit and another is being called for, but our state and federal lawmakers should take action.

Don't waste your time or money with Aspen Dental. Have been waiting over 2 months for my crowns, First appointment crowns color didn't match my teeth so sent out for replacement which was supposed to be a rush order and was told would call me when crowns were delivered. Well no call so had to call and was told yes the crowns were delivered first issue. Go for appointment once again. Color same as the previous ones. Given another appointment. Show up for this appointment to be told not scheduled so talk to supervisor and suppose to put a trace on the crowns cause no knowledge of where the crowns are.

Seems to me crowns were never put in for replacement and that was the excuse that was told to me. So 3 days and still waiting for a phone call which I was told that they were going to trace and call me. Seems once they have your money you have no other option. So disappointed. After the crowns are completed will be looking for another dental practice.

After taking 30 to 45 minutes completing the new patient information online, you then wait for at least a month for a new patient appointment (no services performed). Upon arriving at the office for this new patient appointment, they ask for you to provide them with all of the same information you were required to provide online before they would make the appointment with you. I asked where my information was that I took the time and was required to provide online and she shrugged and said she didn't know and it wasn't in the the computer. At this point, I am beyond frustrated at the careless attitude and the lack of value of a customer's time and patronage. I felt like I was just another number as well as a bother to them for asking them valid questions for which they could not provide an answer.

If this is how they handle a new patient from the beginning, then I cannot trust them to handle my dentistry care and services. I let them know the lack of care and attitude would not work for me and walked out without seeing a dentist. This was my first and last time dealing with a conglomerate that does not provide individual interest and care of customers. I would rather pay more and out of pocket for dentistry services than be treated like a herd animal. I would rate them as a ZERO.

My son went to Aspen Dental because he lost a tooth and needed a one tooth bridge. They told him he needed a cleaning and that his insurance would not cover the fluoride treatment and he had to pay $50 before they continued. He put it on his credit card. I got the explanation of benefits and they billed the insurance for the fluoride and insurance paid it! When we tried to call for the return of his $50 they refused to speak to us. So I contacted the insurance and was instructed to file a fraud complaint because he paid for it and the insurance paid for it, so they were paid twice for the fluoride treatment. They also told him before he got a one tooth bridge for 4k he would have to get Invisalign for 3k or no bridge. So besides double billing, they tried to scam my son into 8k plus worth of work. Stay away, stay far far away. If I could give negative stars I would give them a minus 5.

I called to get a tooth pulled because my dentist was on vacation. By phone I was quoted $90.00 as a price and they set an appointment for 2pm that day. I showed up 10 minutes early for paperwork and told the window personnel I just needed an extraction as my dentist was on vacation. I was told all patients have to provide that information. I after 40 minutes I was taken to an xray room and sat in a chair. They took pics of the side with the loose tooth, which I guess is normal, but then proceeded to do an almost full mouth of pictures till I said no.

I was then hustled to a small office where I was told it would be 349 dollars and they asked could I pay that today? I was befuddled and ask what happoen to the quote I received? The young lady claimed she knew nothing about that and summoned a young SMART BUTT dentist in to the situation who then berated me and my dentist for the condition of my mouth and tried to close me on Aspen getting me all fixed up. I got angry and wanted a copy of my call-in that stated my needs and the price and left upset. I had to try to get my tooth pulled. (The pain was unbearable.)

I was told by Aspen dental to get a copy of the call I would have to come back and so I came back and came back and went back again and still no copy of the call. I kept calling but they never produced the recorded call. ASPEN then TORE my credit up by putting a collection illegally on my credit. They wanted $108.00. I called and asked, "For what?" To be berated and to have the cost switched? National Recovery had no proof I owed a penny to ASPEN DENTAL. There is no judgement ar action to give ASPEN or NATIONAL RECOVERY ** the right to MAR my or any one elses credit without substantial proof, which is generally a judgement, where the creditor was able to prove the debt was accurate and why. ASPEN DENTAL HAS YOUNG INEXPERIENCED JUST OUT OF INTERNING DENTIST. These type DENTIST can be very costly to a patient. Just read some of their bad mistakes and poor service here.

Before you end up in the wrong dental office getting a fairly wet behind the ears dentist with an attitude problem, that could cost you not just a lot of money but a lot of pain and long term suffering, think. How dare them bill me when every ad says your xrays and exams are free anyway. That is just their bait to get you in. I barely got that done since I stopped them and said it is a simple extraction. NO they wanted a new patient and 300 plus dollars to pull a already half out tooth. Who would even think you could be ripped off like they did? Save yourself the agony and find a safer, honest dentist. Thank you for reading.

Aspen Dental in Lufkin not only charged my insurance $6500 dollars (some, of which the Billings codes did not appear on my bill) of which they paid approximately $1200, they had me pay out of pocket $1900 for extractions, a temporary lower denture and bone grafts. I specifically asked about bone grafts before starting any treatment hoping it would save me out of pocket costs. The office manager said absolutely not, that my insurance was covering that. Well after having extractions and receiving my temporary lower denture I received a call that they could not continue my treatment until the “past due” amount of $1100 was paid. They informed me that my insurance doesn’t cover bone grafts and I was responsible for the cost.

Of course I contacted my insurance company and was told that had they bothered verifying my coverage before treatment they would have known that. They attempted to conference call the office manager and held for 20 minutes before having to disconnect. I immediately called the office manager and she told me she didn’t need to talk to the insurance company that she knew what she was doing. She told me that she would “take care of it” and I wouldn’t owe anything else. That she would call me on Friday to let me know what day I could come in this week.

Of course she didn’t call and when I called this morning she was with a client and I was told she would call me right back. I told the receptionist that I had an appointment at 1pm today with another dentist and if I didn’t hear from them before then I would continue my treatment somewhere else. Of course they didn’t contact me so I went to my other appointment and will be receiving my permanent lower denture tomorrow at a cost much lower than the $1100.00 that Aspen said I owe them. DO NOT use this company under any circumstances!

She comes in and says she can’t see anything wrong from the x-rays and never looks in my mouth….I say no root problem, no cracked tooth, filling ok? She then taps on a few teeth and says must have been a piece of food got stuck up there. I wait some more and a technician comes in and does a gum test. So, basically after spending 2 months in and out of this place it was a complete joke. I went in knowing the work I needed done. I had my x rays which first time visit was free. Spent maybe 2 mins with the dentist that wasn’t the normal dentist who does the exams and then the hygienist. They do all this work up really without telling you. So I needed my wisdom out and 4 fillings with a cleaning. My husband and I were paying out of pocket which was 2600 for everything. I had scheduled my wisdom with the oral surgeon and got that done. Recovered for 2 weeks and finally made my appointment to get my teeth cleaned. No problem. She was great!

Then, I scheduled my fillings a week later. That’s where the problems started. She was done in 45 mins no problem. Everything seemed fine. So a few days later I wanted to check on an old filling so I called and asked to be seen and was told I had to get all new x rays and such for 180? Why? Made no sense to me. So I said I would have to call back. Called back later and she said she didn't feel right having me get all new x rays. Ok, so I set up the appointment for the next day. I just didn't feel right about it all so I decided to call a completely different place. Got in to see them and basically told me that 3 out of 4 teeth she did she missed the cavity. I was beyond pissed.

So I ended up calling their helpline or however it's called. talked to an awesome lady and was trying to help me out. I sent my x rays to Aspen to confirm and my ones from aspen to my new place. I basically got a call from the office manager wanting to know my story. It was so awkward bc she immediately said she wasn't refunding me. I never asked but I was telling her I didn't want to ever set foot in there so I understand her saying that. I just wanted them to see the mistakes that were made. She basically told me all dentists have different practices. It's crazy to me. So I got off the phone with her in tears bc that is more money I have to spend somewhere else.

I wrote the lady I talked to on the phone about my experience with the office manager. She got back to me the next day explaining if I can give them a second chance. So talked with the office manager again and got set up. Went to my appointment and basically everything I said that was wrong she found. The thing that was so unprofessional about the dentist was how she said, "Oh I didn't even look at your x rays. My bad?" What? she knew it was bad but said it anyways. So when I sat down with the office manager she basically went over how I had to pay for all this and it was 628. I just told her I will call later and set up another time. I'm going with the new dentist and trusting myself on this one.

I went to Aspen Dental. For my first visit they did numerous X-rays and I spent most of my time with the hygienist and seen the dentist for maybe 2 minutes. I was then told by the dentist and the hygienist that I had severe gum disease and that I would need to have surgery on my gums to repair it. I went up to the front desk to find out what my insurance was going to cover for the surgery and my insurance was only going to cover $2,000 and I was responsible for the other $2,000 that I had to pay upfront before even scheduling the appointment to get the surgery done. I went home, discussed it with my husband and realized we can't afford that so I called Aspen Dental back the next day and told them that I would just like to have the three cavities that I have filled and the one tooth with a loose filling fixed and they told me they won't do that until I get the surgery done for my gums. So I told him to destroy my records. I would go back to my original dentist.

I went back to my original dentist and told them what I was told by Aspen Dental and my dentist told me that I do not have gum disease. That I have gingivitis and if I continue to get deep cleanings every 3 months it will prevent me from getting gum disease so Aspen Dental lied to me to try to get money out of me. I was warned about this dentist by many people but I didn't listen and I wish I did. This is the worst dentist ever. Do not go to them.

Was told when I made my appt the first visit was free. I even asked when I got to my appoint and was told again the first visit was free. No charge for me or my insurance company. Went to ask about getting a filling. Saw the dentist for maybe 3 minutes and but spent most of the time with the hygienist who told me I had a gum infection and my tooth wouldn't be filled until corrected that issue. Was told by their business secretary I would have to pay over 1200.00 before I could get my tooth filled. And another 400.00 for the filling. A few weeks later I found out they billed my insurance company for the same visit they said was free and sent me a bill for 180.00.

If there was any special circumstances to my visit being free they should have mentioned it but they did not. I was just told over and over there was no charge for the first visit because they were running a special. Before I left they gave me a total price of 3600. After my insurance over 1600.00 out of pocket. And I needed to pay 300.00 to make an appointment for my next visit for treatment and almost 900.00 for the second. I just came for an x-ray and filling. If I could give them a zero I would.

I am shocked a dental company treats people like they do. I originally scheduled a cleaning. After two hours of being there for X-rays I did not request, waiting for a Doctor and a Hygienist, they tell me I had to return for cleaning. I said, "You're kidding, that is why I am here." Plus they would not do a general cleaning but only deep cleaning for $212 for upper and $212 for bottom out of my pocket. It's all about the money. How real dental individuals work there is beyond me to be a part of a company that takes advantage of customers and tries to scare them into spending money. I am 72 of age and these tactics are despicable. They refused to just clean my teeth which insurance pays because the doctor and hygienist says I need a deep cleaning. All about money, Insurance obviously does not pay them enough but they use it to get us in the door to upsell. Oh by the way, had them cleaned in less than a year too. The dental assistant that performed the X-rays was the only pleasant part of the visit. They scanned my mouth for Invisalign, which I did not ask for. After the dentist came in and confirmed that I needed my wisdom teeth pulled and informed that I would have to wait a month to do so, the hygienist came and told me I needed to have my teeth cleaned.

Before she even did the cleaning I was told I needed to speak with financial about payment options. They told me with my oral surgery and cleaning, my total out of pocket would be $3500 and to even schedule my surgery, I would need to pay $1500 upfront. When I told them I didn’t have that kind of money, she gave a paper to sign without explaining it. I asked what the paper was for, then she said “oh, that’s just so we can do a soft credit pull to find a lender for you and you pay them back.” You would think I didn’t have insurance! I left with no cleaning, no teeth pulled and no surgery date. I would never recommend them to anyone.

My parents never stressed brushing or flossing, I never had been to a dentist until I was 21 years old! I needed a lot of work done on my teeth and decided to go to Aspen Dental. I am crying over a year later as I write this review. My one insecurity and they made it worse! The dentist, and workers there are fantastic. No problem with them. My problem is with the business practice itself. They asked me what I wanted to do and I told them that I wanted my teeth pulled and either dentures or implants. I showed them the teeth that were bothering me and the chipped tooth in the front.

They are the professionals so I let them do their thing. They touched every tooth and poked above it on the gum leaving a little hole. On a few of my gums above the tooth there are still the hole they poked. It's been more than a year. They never told me which teeth I was getting pulled and when I asked they told me the bad ones. They insisted that I needed to have my teeth cleaned and scaled. They charged almost $300.00 per side! I only got one side done.

They pulled the teeth they deemed unsavable. I had one on the bottom that had a black filling in it from 1983! It bothered me, it hurt, it had a cavity and they left it in! Another tooth on the top towards the front had a cavity I paid to have filled. It broke so now I a nub of a tooth and have to pay a decent dentist to pull and put an implant in.

I paid almost $7319.00 and am getting a refund of $586.00. I got charged for severaI periodontal maintenance procedures at $179.00 each and never got those. I never got my cavities filled, never got the second cleaning, never got my partial dentures sized and never got my permanent dentures. The chip in my tooth I paid to have fixed never got done and my dentures do not fit and have not since I got them. They fall out of my mouth. I saved a long time to get my teeth fixed. It was my one insecurity and still are besides the pain. A refund of $586.00 is a joke but it is all they said I could get and I have to pay another dentist to fix their mess. Never, ever would I recommend them. Looking back I feel like I was rushed through everything. Very sad.

Total scam dentistry. This place is a mill. They get you in the door then over diagnose. My son was traveling and went in to see them because he had pain in one tooth. He was told that he needed 3 wisdom teeth removed. I called and asked why remove 3 and was told, "Well these teeth are in the back and hard to reach so they might get cavities." I asked if he had cavities in them now. She said no but they are at risk of cavities. Of course all teeth are. He was in pain and so we thought he should get just the one tooth removed. However they wouldn't make an appointment without receiving payment. So they billed our cards for the work they were planning to perform at an appointment the following week. I looked at Aspen's estimate and they had on their estimate bills for additional anesthesia (3x) which is ridiculous because the surgery had not been performed so they would have no way of knowing if they needed additional anesthesia units.

Something felt off so I called my dentist who said this sounds like a total scam operation and told me that I was correct that it is not normal practice to bill before service and also that I was right about the anesthesia overbilling because until they would go in they would have no way of knowing if additional anesthesia is necessary. Total Scam. I called my HSA credit card and let them know what is going on and am disputing the charges since services were not rendered.

After a few months it broke into. Had it fixed which they charged my insurance for. Two weeks later it broke again. So this year they were trying to make me a new upper denture. My first appointment was June 1, I did three wax try ins none worked. So I told the dentist I would just drop it (September). I told him I was still scared to eat with the partial because of it breaking so much. So he wanted to look at it. He said no wonder that it was just a temporary. So I asked, "When would I get the permanent?" So he sent one of the office managers in to talk to me and told me I would have to pay another $1100 for the permanent. I asked why I was never told, after a whole year, about the partial being a temporary and no one seems to know the answer.

They have finally decided to do me a favor and make me one for $700. I have used Affordable Dentures for years and never a problem. So I will go to them and get the partial for $375. One other thing, the Dentist, Dr ** never wore a mask (COVID) and sometimes didn’t even wear gloves. I was very nervous with the virus going on. They pulled out my wife's front teeth. I'm not sure why. When she received her teeth they didn't fit too well. Then she was scratching her tongue on them. Let me tell you she got an infection in her mouth that she still has today, that's almost a year now. She has been in extreme pain from something nobody can seem to tell what it is. She's been to many doctors about it. Now it's like all the dentist here won't help her. She has dementia and I believe they were doing her rotten because of that. I could go on and on. This place is a racket. All the way to the back they use.

I watched my wife completely deteriorate because of the pain. These people don't care for nothing but their own pockets. People just can't put others into a curtain category without knowing the facts. Don't just assume they're something when they're not. My first thing every morning because of this is to see if she's still alive. That's incredibly hard to do every day. I will never let anyone take advantage of her ever again. If you read this it's best you go somewhere else. You're already ahead by reading the reviews. Everything I've said is very true and just so much more it would make most cry.

1st experience: I scheduled an appointment for a cleaning, and it took well over an hour for the dental hygienist to get me. When questioning the receptionist if I should just reschedule, she said, "no, just wait a couple more minutes." They could've easily informed me on the situation. What's the point of pre-scheduling an appointment then? Was offered no apology for the delay either.

2nd experience: I went in to get a couple of fillings done. After waiting for about 30 minutes, I was taken back to have the procedure. I was given ** shots and the drilling began. Half-way through, the dentist left suddenly, explaining nothing, and leaving me with blood, saliva, and tooth shavings filling my mouth FOR 45 MINUTES. He comes back and has to numb me again at this point, almost finishes the filing, and yet again, leaves me for another 30 MINUTES with a mouthful of blood, saliva, and tooth shavings (I WISH I could make this experience up). I asked him why it takes over an hour to complete just a couple of fillings...his response is, "It is what it is. Sometimes you just have to wait." No accountability, no explanation, no apology.

3rd (and hopefully final) experience: No one had asked for my updated insurance after the office had been closed for about 6 months due to COVID, so when I came in to get my 2nd cleaning completed (which had been scheduled back in March and out-of-pocket expense already paid for), they didn't bill my insurance for the cleaning or fillings until the office opened back up, at which point my insurance had changed, so now they're expecting me to pay for the entirety of service out-of-pocket without any insurance covering it.

Started pulling what was really just a root from my head while informing me that I should go a completely different route than I expected. Extra teeth pulled, root canal, removable bridge rather than the permanent I had insisted upon. Etc etc. I was tired, in pain, trying to understand thru 2 masks. I started crying. The dentist was not wearing a COVID-19 or any kind of mask during the exam and walking the halls. His exam was super-fast and then I had a long 25-minute wait for a "cost estimate" which was to $50k remove all teeth for full dentures/implants - and/or some $4k+ bridge work/$1800 deep cleaning. The estimate lady claimed all teeth had some degree of infection, which is not the case since my regular dentist cares for me 2x/year.

Unbeknownst to them, come Monday, Aspen will be refunding me in full. Their lack of disrespect and compassion is unfathomable, as I had a front tooth on top break off. It’s humiliating being so young and looking like I do now. The sad part is how they are all aware of this.

I asked my son to get his teeth cleaned before school begins. We are from California. He was given an estimate of $80 something for a cleaning. He went and had a bunch of x-rays. They wanted to charge $30 for a cancer screening. What a joke. Then a small cavity filling and sealant. Then some kind of gum grafting. They wanted over $1,800. I recognized the scam, small fee for exam then upsell. I told him to pay his $30 and get out quick. I will fly him home to California and see our local dentist. My son is 21 and not experienced with scammers. Luckily he called me and we avoided this one.

When calling Aspen Dental Center, new patients are directed to a call center for scheduling; however, you are not told that you are talking to a call center. I asked several questions about my needs and how the dental center might accommodate them. I was promised that I could have work done the same day. I was promised a 20% discount if I did not use my insurance. I was promised that they were less expensive than my regular dentist. Their website also shows lower prices for the work I needed.

I get to the appointment, talk with the receptionist, and find out that none of the promises made to me were true. In fact, this dental center is far more expensive than was originally promised and far more expensive than my regular dentist. Moreover the call center only scheduled me for an exam and not for enough time to get the first stage of my work done, as was promised. I was also informed that they do not offer a discount for not using insurance. Furthermore, I found out that the call center receives a kickback for getting patients in to the office.

To make matters worse, my daughter had to call off work that day because I couldn't watch her children in order to go to the appointment. This is adding insult to injury. It was a costly day for my daughter, and I had no choice but to leave the dental office. Something must be done about these shady, unethical practices. After arrive home from the appointment, I looked into this dental company further and found out that there is a class action lawsuit against them. Don't waste your time going to Aspen Dental.

Aspen Dental is awful to deal with. I had an emergency appointment and when I got there due to COVID I had to wait in the car until I would be called in, okay that was not an issue...but sitting in the car for 45 minutes was an issue and I had to call twice and was finally asked to come into the building and was seen by the dentist, I has an x-Ray which did show a cavity between two teeth that was causing the pain. The dentist said she can take care of that and sent me to the front desk, found out I could not be helped for two weeks! What kind of emergency visit is that?! So, I was just suppose to be in pain for 2 weeks. I declined and a few days later went elsewhere and had the cavity filled right away, the pain was from a cavity right at the nerve. But Aspen was quick to send me a bill and for what? They did nothing!

My husband and I have talked to so many different employees, office manager, billing manager and a few others. After the runaround the billing manager agreed to have me pay 1/2 of the bill and she would take care of the rest. That amount was agreed upon and was paid that same day, manager was suppose to go into my account to remove the remaining balance and show a $0 balance on my account. As of this writing that has not happened, I am so frustrated with Aspen. I would never go back there or advise anyone to go there. It is all about the money, not patient care it seems.

I am very disappointed in this Aspen Dental “West Bend” location. I am experiencing a failed denture repair with them. It lasted one day... I do not recommend them. The denture lab is lacking in skill and talent and should stop charging for repairs. All they do is say the repair will not last and charge you $170.00 for a simple “Acrylic Resin Glue Job” with a polish and a fast turnaround. They should not tell me different. I have proof. Granted, my repair was complicated with implants. I was desperate and paid the price... The lab tech should have seen the weakness in the repair and should not have done it. It was only a couple steps above “Super Glue”. Of course, that kind of repair will not last!! I was expecting more of a professional fix.

I was a fool to trust them. I have gone to a professional dentist and have had my broken denture repaired for an additional $247.00. The denture performs like it was never broken. I lost a week worth of groceries going to “ASPEN DENTAL”. Dentures are like Jewelry. Don’t go cheap with ASPEN DENTAL. The lead dentist offered me a refund. The office manager said I would get it. I respect them for that. The owner “Alison Teske” denied it and that tells me she has a desperation for money. Her facility is nothing more than a “DRIVE THRU DENTAL FRANCHISE” in search for easy and fast profit in her pocket. Go there in desperation and risk of loss of money, James **.

Thankfully, I came here (This forum) FIRST! BEFORE,... moving forward with treatment!... I did so proactively, because something smelled fishy and red flags were already going up! Foremost, (and the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back, as it were..) was their policy that I’m going to pay, in full,. my “Out of pocket”, when I schedule my appointment!? Seriously!?..YES!! They actually want you to pay,... (whatever they claim, your alleged patient portion will be, after insurance) when your appointment is set, often weeks out. Weeks BEFORE any service is rendered! What the..?? I’m 59, I’ve been around the block a few times. I’ve lived in several states and I have had many great and some not so great, providers through the years. But these guys take the cake! Thankfully, I saw this one coming. Aspen Dental is a well honed and lubricated ATM!

So in my case, as others (here) have indicated and mentioned, everything seems on the up and up, with the initial “evaluation”. The Panoramic x-rays, oral examination and such. What you don’t realize at the time, and sadly as so many others have discovered,... what is really happening, can be defined as more akin to, a “valuation”. $$ OF YOU!! So toward the end of their evaluation/valuation routine, there’s this ”financial guy”,.. that just happens to show up and sit in,.. (how convenient is that?) Again, toward the end of the exam. I mean really, I should’ve known right there! First red flag!

Next, you’re ushered into a room, where what unfolds next, is what can only be described as the same exact experience you feel, at a car dealership! “Good news! Your wife only needs 18K worth of work done!” Wow!... “For us today only!??”.... But wait! It gets better!! The same doc that examined her,... had her own practice, a number of years ago, at a time my oral health had gotten away from me. (I’m sure many of you can relate. Family, kids, responsibilities, putting everything and everyone else before you.) Anyway, at that time, this saaaame doc, told me my mouth was a train wreck and I needed $24K of work done!

Later, I found an honest doc that took care of everything for $6K! A decade ago, I’m now 59 with no major issues.... But ehh,... it’s only money.... You know, Just a measly $18,000 difference!... If you’re not feeling it,... a little sarcasm there,... Bottom line, The numbers were constantly in flux, fuzzy and convoluted. A wise man learns from his mistakes. Can you not be considered extremely wise,... to learn from those of others??

Because of how they do business, this may not be the best place to go for dental service! While they have made some effort to resolve my issues with my new dentures, it has not been without a lot of trouble on my part. At one point I thought I would have to secure a lawyer to help me through the process. After my initial visit, there was the presentation and their pricing structure is confusing and I believe it is deceptive. When they made my dentures, the top denture impression was done badly, and the denture did not stay in. Their initial solution was to apply a temporary (lasting about a year) reline. They did this twice and it was done badly both times. Also, during this same time they had a "technician" doing grinding adjustments without using the techniques that a Doctor would use to correctly identify the problem areas.

Finally, they agreed to make I knew impression and hard reline my new teeth. These teeth are OK except for one area that needs a little more work. Today is Thursday and the next time they can see me is next week on Tuesday. I would not recommend Aspen Dental as the best place to go unless you know exactly what to expect and are prepared for a battle to get it done.

My boyfriend went to Aspen for a consultation for problems with his teeth. They told him the best option would be to have them all removed and get dentures. After going over everything the total came to about $14,000 (and he doesn't have insurance). We pre-paid and the appointment was scheduled. They scheduled it for 3:30pm in the afternoon. My boyfriend asked them twice if that was enough time to get all his teeth out, put in the two implants for the bottom teeth, etc. They said yes, that's no problem. Three hours into the surgery they removed all but 1 tooth, did not do the implants and the surgeon was very rude. The surgeon told my boyfriend "your teeth were not ready to come out" and "I'm going to be here until 8 tonight and I still have to drive back to Dallas".

At three different times during the extractions my boyfriend had to tell the surgeon to calm down and not get frustrated. My boyfriend even told him that he was going to break his jaw and the surgeon said "that's a real concern right now". Now he has to go back in 3 months for another surgery to have his last wisdom tooth removed and his implants put in and then wait another 3 months to get his permanent teeth. Then on top of all of it, 9 days after the extractions, my boyfriend who is still in a lot of pain and believes they fractured his jaw (even though they said they did an x-ray and it was fractured) was still in a lot of pain.

I called the office on Thursday and left a message about getting him a refill on the pain medication. I received no call back on Friday, so on Monday I called back 3 more times to leave messages and finally got the refill sent to the pharmacy at 7pm on Tuesday. It seems as though they got their money upfront and don't care about the patient.

I went to the Pooler, GA, office for my second visit since they were the only office in my area that accepted Cigna PMO. First of all I went in the prior Friday to make sure that my insurance was in order and was told that I was all set for my Monday morning appointment. I arrived early to make sure that I had time to fill out any paperwork needed. There was a lady in the office who irate because she had taken the morning off of work to bring in her child and upon arrival she was told that the appointment was cancelled due to the doctor filling in at a different office. They swore that that they had called, emailed, and messaged her. She promptly pulled out her phone and opened messaging, email and call log. Guess what, no messages or calls. They immediately shuffled her off to the back and "fit her in". I should have left then.

I needed a cleaning and to have a molar extracted because the one wisdom tooth that I have grew into it making it impossible to brush or floss. Taking my turn at the desk, I was immediately informed that my insurance did not cover extractions and I would have to pay $265.00 out of pocket. I did because I was in pain, figuring at worst I would submit it to Cigna myself. They eventually removed the tooth having to drill it out. Then I was informed that I needed a deep cleaning and I would need to pay $1027.00 out of pocket because my insurance only covered standard cleaning. I asked for the standard cleaning and was refused. The explanation was that since I needed a deep cleaning my insurance would not cover a standard cleaning because it would not do any good.

On top of that I was told that I needed a special antibiotic gel injected into my gums for an additional charge of course. I left after only the one extraction. I went online to Cigna to submit the claim and guess what...there is already a claim submitted by Aspen Dental for the $265.00 that I had already paid in full. DON'T GO TO ASPEN DENTAL FOR ANYTHING, THEY ARE NOTHING BUT, SCAMMERS.

I paid $4,460.00 for four crowns and within the first few months three of them fell out and just this week the last one fell out. Aspen Dental tells me it's my fault for not coming to them for teeth cleaning but I have two other Crowns for over fifteen years not installed by them and they are still just fine. I do not have dental insurance and paid them cash out of pocket. At 73 tears of age on a fixed income that is not easy for me. When I travel and they fall out I will have to pay another dentist to install them or perhaps build them right in the first place.

I went to Aspen Dental looking to get dentures and all I got was screwed. I paid for top of the line dentures, which gave me a temporary set. After my teeth were pulled I was told to wear the temps right after they were pulled, could't do it, Dr said I have to. Whole weekend with terrible pain. Went in next Monday, complained about the pain, she said it will hurt for a while. That's when I got mad, ask for another dentist and I have had problems ever since. The quality and the fit are terrible!! I've ask them to fix it, they gave me a reline and it was NO better than before! And for the second time they told me that is the best they can do! Their best is everyone else's worst!

Predatory. Beware of the SCAM. Prior to coming to Aspen Dental in my town, I specifically only saw reviews for the few locations local to me (I was unaware they were a franchise and incorrectly assumed it was a local network of offices). Many of the negative reviews locally were about dentures/issues related to work I wouldn't be needing. Since I've had adult teeth, I've need dental work done. It's an ongoing cycle and has unfortunately, worsened with age. I am never surprised to hear bad news at the dentist but Aspen took it to a whole new level.

First, I have to commend the patience I was shown while getting x-rays (it's always such an unpleasant process when you gag every 5 seconds) by a very sweet dental assistant who probably has no idea she works for such a scam company. I really hope to see her working at a better office one day since she would definitely be a person to help put patients at ease and feel welcomed. Aside from that... it's all downhill. First, the x-rays. Then I was told I'd be getting a 3D imaging scan on my teeth, this has been done at a different dentist office before for the purpose of Invisalign. Anyway, a DIFFERENT hygienist/assistant then comes in to do an exam and is stressing the point of how sensitive my gums are and how much i'm bleeding. He starts telling me about gingivitis, treatment, etc.

Dentist finally comes in (I've been at the office for ~1.5 hours) and a man sitting at the computer for whatever reason. The dentist never actually looked into my mouth and judging only based on xrays tells me that because of all my past dental work and the state of my teeth, wanting to preserve yada yada.... All of my TOP teeth will need crowns. ALL OF THEM. Keep in mind i'm 28 years old. A crown is not out of the question but this is much worse news than I'd expected. I knew I needed work done but didn't realize my dental health had gotten so out of control.

He also tells me my wisdom teeth need to go (this was expected) and that the surgeon who comes to the practice once a month can do it for me, but that the "whole mouth restoration" I need will need to be referred out "but don't worry we will refer you to a great doc who specializes in this stuff"... Please keep in mind he never actually looked in my mouth OR addressed the concerns that I specifically made the appointment for OR...addressed what would need to be done with the 16 teeth on the bottom of my mouth?

As I'm in a state of shock I'm then led into an office where a man immediately shows me a total balance that I owe Aspen, keep in mind that I'm not seeing the entire invoice page, just the total for today's visit and the estimate for wisdom teeth. After the insurance estimate, I owe 1,370.00. I am completely overwhelmed at this point and am starting to feel quite emotional. This man then says "I'm not sure what the other office will quote you, and what will be covered by insurance.... but you're looking at twenty thousand, easily. At best." I'm 28 years old. For the first time in my life I started to cry at the dentist office.

He assures me, "It's okay, we will figure it out," yada yada. He then, while i'm still wiping tears away, asks "do you want to see about financing?" Never once did he say "apply for financing" or "this means I will be running your info to apply for a line of credit" etc. I just say, "Okay sure" thinking he means financing through their office. He is busy on the computer while I have to fill out info for an oral surgeon to take my wisdom teeth out and before I know it I'm signing papers and told "Great, you're all paid up, you've been approved up to x amount"... Great? I then wait 40 more minutes for my "cleaning" which was just the man telling me over and over that I have gingivitis and doing a cleaning specifically for that (no brushing or polishing). I'm then given a very fancy tooth brush, a prescription toothpaste, prescription mouth wash and a dry mouth gel and told I need to come back in a week for a follow up to the cleaning.

Once the adrenaline of emotion had subsided, all the red flags began to come together in my mind and I immediately started looking into the issue and realized Aspen Dental builds their practices on this model. Sell sell sell and when you can't sell, UP-SELL. I began my search for a second opinion and within 48 hours found an amazing dentist. Getting Aspen to simply CANCEL my appointments was, no pun intended, like pulling teeth. I had to DEMAND they cancel my appointment, remove any services not performed yet from my bill (oh you know like all the sedation for wisdom teeth removal, surgery itself etc) -because news flash it's illegal to charge me for services you HAVE NOT PERFORMED. They tried to make me jump through every difficult hoop they could think of to get my records sent to the new dentist, but god bless the women in that office who knew better and helped me handle the mess.

I went to a different dentist who confirmed I needed my wisdom teeth removed (Which I knew), he took one look in my mouth and said "you absolutely don't have gingivitis, and I absolutely will not be doing any more than 2 crowns in your mouth." The new dentist office was so comforting and assured me that unfortunately, I was not alone in my experience with Aspen dental.

In summary, please please avoid Aspen Dental at all costs. ESPECIALLY if you are without insurance, have poor credit, have dental anxiety, are low on funds, elderly, easily taken advantage of, etc. If you do choose Aspen or recently have and are questioning their practice or what they've told you, TRUST YOUR GUT! It's well within your right to get a second opinion! You never know how much money you could be saving, let alone your health and well being.

Since I only have 6 teeth left on the lower I expressed that I was told this appointment would be to discuss extracting the remaining teeth, dental implants and a lower denture. I was told that I had to have these teeth cleaned before I would be able to discuss any other procedures (at a cost of 110.00). I have no insurance. Since then one of the teeth has broken off at the root. I called to get another appointment and the receptionist said they would call me back. I have received no call back. Made an appointment with Aspen Dental in November 2019. Went in for a checkup and inquiry about dental implants. Had X-ray's done and a full radiograph. At this time I knew I had some other issues that needed to be taken care of. I needed a tooth pulled that had deteriorated under a 4 piece bridge. And had cavities where the fillings had fallen out. When the x-rays were concluded I was sent over to the hygenist area, where she did her thing picked and prodded and came to the conclusion that I had gum disease and would need this expensive treatment. The dentist came in after that and did a physical exam. Where he discussed the implants and this expensive treatment for my gums, when questioned about the problem tooth he says yea, yea we can do something about that he never mentions the cavities.

After the exam I go to another area where they are going to give me a detailed financial statement of costs and what my insurance will pay, estimate was around 40,000. After including discounts and payments from insurance the estimate is now right around 18,000. Didnt have a problem with that except, again it didn't include the things I knew were wrong.

I had already decided I needed to get a second opinion, because there was no sign of gum disease except the inflammation where the tooth already needed to be pulled. Went to another dentist gave him the same info and he had me see his hygenist the same day where she did a cleaning and said that there were no signs of gum disease and just keep up regular cleanings, we made another appointment for the tooth that needed to be pulled. At this time he refers me to an oral surgeon to discuss implants. The oral surgeons office advises that my insurance will only pay for one set of radiographs every 3 years and to request a copy from Aspen Dental.

I call Aspen Dental in January and request a copy of the radiographs and the girl tells me I should have them in 2 weeks. A couple of days later another girl calls me and says that I will have to pay 395.00 for the copy since my insurance never paid the claim. I contacted my insurance carrier and I am told there was never a claim made. So I call them back and tell them this and this new person says oh that's right the info you gave us was wrong. Go through the info it is all correct and they say they will make a claim.

I call a week later and they say they can't send them because I have a balance of 43.00 dollars. I ask her when were they going to advise me of this balance and she said we do not send billings. Paid the 43.00 balance and was told she would get the radiographs in the mail. As of today's date 03/05/2020 I still do not have copies of radiographs have had to cancel the appointment with the oral surgeon and am still waiting for a response from Aspen Dental.

Now they had all of my info including insurance. If the info given to them was wrong how were they able to give me estimate of care. I am glad that I decided on the 2nd opinion and had not done business with Aspen Dental. If they could not do a simple task of making a claim to my insurance or send requested radiographs in the mail, I would be very leery as to actual care you may get. The end result is I am now going to file a complaint with my insurance carrier and the Better Business Bureau.

I was crystal clear I wanted to come over and get the impression and have the crown installed as soon as it was ready. I understood and agreed to the price of the work. I followed up and confirmed my appointment and even came in early to complete the paperwork as scheduled. Then when I was called the tech told me they would do a new patient visit and schedule another day for the impression.

I told them I wanted the impression today as I had told them for months that was what I was there for. I agreed to a new patient check up but only if they would do the impression at the conclusion today. They would not. I talked with the office manager and told her the same thing but she said they were closing at noon today and did not have the time to do it. I left without getting any work done.

We could have done the new patient check up months ago but instead they wasted my time and caused me to make a 50 mile round trip that was wasted because they were not ready to do the work I had discussed and they had, in my opinion, committed to do. I am very disappointed with the lack of service and failure for the Beckley Aspen Dental clinic to perform the work we scheduled so long ago. Now I have lost this time and still have to have a qualified dentist complete the work. I will not be recommending Aspen Dental as a provider to anyone I know and will let them know how I feel about this wasted trip.

My company changed insurance options this year and I signed up for a new plan through Cigna. In exploring my new plan, I learned that not only did my insurer not participate with my current dentist, but that my insurer only participated with ONE provider--Aspen Dental. First, the closest Aspen office is 40 minutes away in another town. I am also aware that Aspen has been accused of predatory financial practices. Nonetheless, I needed an exam and cleaning, so I made an appointment.

I arrived at 1:50 pm for my 2 pm appointment and I was called to the back on time. At that point, an assistant confirmed a bit of medical history and then proceeded to take 14-18 x-rays of my mouth. No kidding. The x-rays alone took 15-20 minutes. I've never had ANY medical professional expose me to that much radiation at one appointment. After that, I sat in the dental chair for 10 minutes while she did who knows what behind me. Weird. Then she took photographs of the inside of my mouth for ANOTHER 10 minutes.

Finally, the hygienist came in. I've always loved my hygienists, so I was briefly relieved. However, she immediately tried to sell me Invisalign braces. Then she mapped my teeth recession and bone loss. (Spoiler: I'm 54, so I have some recession and minor bone loss.) She started talking about having the financial person come in and that's when I knew it was going to go badly. Exasperated, I asked if I was going to get an actual cleaning and exam, which is what I came in for. Seemingly confused, she flipped through my chart and then SHE left. Sigh.

10-15 minute later, cue the financial lady. After barely referencing the treatment plan in her hands, she pronounced that I needed a "deep cleaning" and that my share would be $600. WHAT?? I asked if I could just get a regular cleaning that day and schedule any periodontic treatment for a later time, but they refused. By then I had been there for a whole hour. No cleaning. No exam. Just an offer to relieve me of $600.

I got out of the chair, took off my little dental bib, and headed out. On my way out the front office staff was happy to add their "professional expertise" to the mix, ensuring me that they "just wouldn't be doing right by me" if they only did a regular cleaning and exam (just like I had gotten 6 months earlier at my previous dentist with zero fanfare). No, they did right by me by refusing to clean my teeth at all. They did right by me by recommending hundreds of dollars’ worth of treatment without so much as a handshake with the actual dentist. Sure. That makes sense.

I have, in fact, had the same sort of periodontic treatment they were recommending at least twice before. (Of course, I can't be CERTAIN it was the exact treatment, since they didn't actually discuss the procedure with me, just the money.) In those instances, I have NEVER had a dentist refuse to provide regular, covered treatment unless I agreed to some other extensive--and expensive--treatment on the spot.

I am going back to my previous dentist and just paying out of pocket. I need a real dentist, not a hard-sell operation masquerading as a dental practice. I have requested a copy of my treatment plan and I am most certainly going to ask my dentist what he thinks of their proposed treatment and fee, as well as whether Aspen may have caused me any potential physical harm with excessive radiation.

It is sad that they prey on those who do not know better dentistry is available and available for less total cost.

These people are nothing but money hungry and ready to strip your wallet of everything you have. I saw a dentist on my first visit. Haven’t seen one since in two years. Hygienist tells you one thing. Billing tells you something else. Just now on February 5 2020 they say I owe $326.00 for January 19 2019. The hygienist never spent more than 20 minutes and always told me we were good cash wise. These people in Lynchburg Va are greedy and unprofessional. Just spent 10 minutes arguing with the receptionist. Never in 64 years of going to a Dentist have I ever been treated like this.

Told them no just wanted upper. Anyway.. they charged me excessive amt of money to have them pulled. Had the extractions done. My whole face was swollen.. Few areas of my gum were extremely sensitive.. A see later I have teeth or bone protruding out of my gums. Lots of teeth fragments were left in the teeth that was pulled. They want me to go back.. Hell no. Horrible job done. All they care about is money. It took the Dentist 3 minutes to pull 7 teeth. I laid all this money and now I will have to go see another Dentist to fix this. I will definitely not go back there.

My top tooth that held my partial broke my dentist had retired so I decided to go into Aspen dental because after calling them was told that they took my insurance. Had five teeth left in the top and after the exam was told that I had a gum disease. Had the five teeth pulled after being told that this was the best thing to do. Went in to get impressions a few days before the teeth was all pulled so they could fit me with temporary teeth. The morning I went back to get my teeth pulled after they were removed the temporary plate was so poorly made they didn't fit even after I got fitted for them before the surgery that morning. The doctor came back in and tryed to fix them to fit but they were just messed up. I began to cry because I didn't want to leave there with such a terrible fit and they were not correct which everyone could.

The lady that made the teeth came in with the doctor and two of the nurses and said let her come back in the morning after she stop bleeding so much and I will remake the plate. Went back the next morning still bleeding and they made me make another mold putting that molding materials right on my sore and bleeding raw gums. This was so painful because all of my feelings was back in my mouth by the next morning. Then after this plate was made it never fit while I was waiting to get my permanent plate. Paid in full 3000.00 dollars for these teeth. Was so upset I just asked that I go to another Aspen dental to get the permanent set done. Was told that it was ok to have it done in Savannah. Went to Savannah had them done and now two months after they made the top plate the front tooth just falls out while eating at a dinner party which I had to leave because I was embarrassed to be seen around guess. Please don't let them take care of your mouth. I'm sadden that I went to this dentist.

I broke my dentures which I've been wearing for 20+ years so I glued them together until I could save up the $4,000.00 to get new dentures for top and bottom. They got me in quickly for the consultation and actually did the mold of my teeth the same day. I came back a week later to try the wax mold to make sure I liked the look of the teeth and the placement. I paid in full at that appt. Once I paid all of a sudden they are too busy to get me in for weeks. I finally got my teeth but when I put the lower one in I almost screamed at how painful it was. She tried to grind them at least 8x. By then my lower gum was so inflamed I couldn't tell if the denture or my mouth was causing the pain so she said I should try it over the weekend and if need be they can realign it if needed.

I called Mon morning because they are still extremely painful and also when I showed them to my fiance he noticed a spot on the denture that looks like when she was grinding them she ground a small hole through the teeth. I told them all of that and it's going to take 3 weeks before they can see me. I'm going on vacation with my daughter in Feb and I'm praying they will be done before I go. Right now I can barely eat because I can't wear my lower teeth at all. I wouldn't recommend them at all. Once they get your money they don't care about you anymore.

First of all they demanded that I get a consultation before they clean my teeth which I have never had to deal with before and insist they won't be able to clean my teeth on the same day. I tell them they need to find me a day where both are available so they do for two weeks later and I'm like fine.

I got there at 9:14 AM, which I admit I was a bit late for my 9:00 AM appointment, but the fact I didn't get seen until 10:30 AM is RIDICULOUS! Then in those 30 mins NOBODY touched my teeth. They took two x-rays and then asked extremely vague questions about my teeth and STILL didn't touch my teeth. Then the receptionist comes in saying that my insurance has lapsed and they needed my most recent insurance before they could start and I was livid. Because that means I sat in the ** waiting room for an HOUR and no one had run my insurance to see if it was all up to date. If they had done that I would have easily been able to give them my new insurance so everything was fine when I finally went back but they waited until I was in the chair AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER!! I was so angry I just canceled my appointment and walked out right then. Terrible service and terrible waste of time.

On 8/11/19, I broke a lower tooth off at the gum line. It was a Sunday, my normal dentist was unavailable for service or to make an appt. I found Aspen online, found that they accepted my insurance; they were able to make an appt the first thing in the a.m; w/out knowing if I could get into my regular dentist, I made the appt. I was taken in for a full mouth xray, understandable. I was seen by a hygienist, who performed another exam; understandable. After her exam, I was surprised to learn about ‘extensive bone loss’, along w/ a recommendation to be treated right then w/ antibiotics.

Let me say that I have been going to a dentist 2 - 3 times per yr for cleaning/check ups to maintain bone/gum/tooth health. I am aware that there was loss but have never been told to the extent as advised by this hygienist. I questioned her as to why no one else ever mentioned this to me if it was so bad. She mumbled something that it was her job to make sure I was informed (as if I wasn't). I don’t recollect her exact response, but I do recall being confused by her findings & then pressured by her. I said that I'd have to put it off until I knew the cost of the day’s procedures along w/ the cost of the antibiotics. I now completely believe I was being upcharged.

Then, I was sent to the billing dept. I was told my services would total $9,538.00 & that my insurance wouldn’t cover anything. Suddenly, & I KNOW as a result of my reaction (I have the feeling she was afraid I would walk away), the billing coordinator, quote unquote, ‘double checked’ & lo & behold was able to confirm that my insurance would actually cover $3000.00 of it. I paid the remaining $6538.00 at which point I was told I was PAID IN FULL. I was then taken in to begin the procedure. I shared my concern that my teeth look ‘normal’ when I left & was ASSURED that would be the case, even though it was only a temp. In fact I shared this concern w/ the billing coordinator. She actually said "I guarantee you are going to love it".

I have had temp teeth before, & know for a fact that that should be the case, & so had no reason to think otherwise. I was advised that the procedure would involve 6 teeth, & that I would receive a 6 unit bridge. The broken tooth had to be extracted & the other teeth ground down in prep for the bridge. It turned into a nearly 6 hr procedure. Once the prep was done, the dental asst prepared the mold for the temp & placed it in my mouth to cure. Either this young lady was new, didn't understand the material she was working with, or just didn't know what she was doing, because she left the mold in my mouth too long & it could not be removed, after numerous, & might I say very uncomfortable attempts. It had to be DRILLED off, & the procedure repeated. The actual dentist I had that day then provided the service for the mold & removed that one timely.

After him shaping & reshaping the piece for a VERY long time, he finally placed it in my mouth, telling me the temp was ‘just for aesthetics’. The asst told me the same thing. I had no idea why they would say that, until I got home & looked at the blob of material that was placed in my mouth, that I had to wear for weeks. I was extremely uncomfortable in the immediate days following the procedure & made an appt for that Thurs. to come back in for check up. I arrived early, only to be told there are no dentists on Thursdays; the receptionist couldn't tell me why they would have made an appt but that I could feel free to make another one. I left.

When my perm bridge came in, I went to the office to have it placed in my mouth. I sat in the chair & the asst prepared to remove the piece. It would not come out. AGAIN. I had to sit through numerous & this time quite painful attempts at removing something from an already tender mouth. They pulled & tugged & maneuvered it, & then they actually started breaking pieces of it off, one at a time, w/ a clamp, in my mouth. I finally said ENOUGH. I had to be numbed again to have it drilled off, by a very impatient dentist, I might add, as if she couldn’t believe I was making such a big deal of out of it!!

In addition, & needless to say, I expected that the same dentist who worked w/ me to prepare my new bridge, would be the one who would actually make certain it fit nicely in my mouth. That was not the case. This other dentist came in, numbed my mouth & drilled the temp piece out. She picked up the permanent piece, literally stuck it in my mouth, told me to bite down a couple of times; she then told me if it didn’t fit right I could come back & have it ground down, or polished down, & sent me on my way.

Well, on the way out, it’s required to stop at the reception area. I did. I inquired, & was told I was PAID IN FULL, for the 2nd time. To say this was a horrible experience or that I trust anything about Aspen would be an understatement. And now I get a bill for $1700.00! I hate that I have to give 1 star to send this review, they don't deserve it. I am joining the class action suit against them.

I told them I had 200 dollar threshold, was quoted 285 and when I said no, she informed me she was taking 200 so she was okay with forgiving the rest. What the heck? They will tell you over the Phone, that prices are the cost of the Item. They do take your insurance and that what the insurance pays will be deducted from the WEBSITE PRICE. Check with your Insurance to find out how much they cover. Which I did! Then when you receive your price sheet, you will be shocked (they will try and add a lot of stuff you never ask for, like a lot of rip off scam artist try and do) but that's only the start of it. Once you get them to remove a lot of the stuff you didn't ask for they tell that some of it is required and has to be done to proceed. Cleanings and Fluoride Varnishing???

Now for the biggest scam part< you will find out (because the numbers are still way out of whack) that the website prices are supposedly just for people without insurance. If you have insurance it much higher. They basically naturalize what your insurance pays. They will tell your website says it, but it doesn't and they couldn't show it to me, they tried for 15 minutes and gave up. So I said I want the advertised price and they said, "Well we have it listed as starting pricing, so your price is the original price, and the advertised price doesn't apply to you because you have insurance." From my first visit on 9/16 to my last visit on 11/15, the dentist and other key staff changed without notification. The office manager changed 3 times (Kimberly, Bryan and Delvecchio). All of this left me feeling uncomfortable since I was planning to have major work done. Simultaneously, after each visit to ASPEN, I would receive notifications from United Concordia, my dental insurance, stating that procedures performed by ASPEN were ineligible under my plan (which I was not informed in advance). The second office manager, Bryan, assured me that I would not be responsible for services not covered under my plan and the letters from my United Concordia specifically stated that, “The Provider has agreed not to bill you for the difference between the PROVIDER’S CHARGE and the allowance for this service.”

Near the end of November, I informed ASPEN that I wasn’t returning, but they continued to leave messages and to schedule me an appointment. I just wanted my account closed but with changes in office managers, they were always too busy to discuss my account and I kept getting conflicting balance amounts that they could not explain or justify. They went from a 0 balance, to a $600 balance, and today they reported a balance of $222.66. During my initial visit to ASPEN, I qualified for dental financing. But, before the services commenced, ASPEN drew down $2,296.74 from Dental Financing.

I made numerous visits to the ASPEN Dental to see the “newest” office manager, Delvecchio, to close out my account, but he was always busy. I have left numerous messages for him, but he doesn’t return my calls. I was finally able to reach Delvecchio this morning. He quickly snapped that he had refunded $2,000 to the finance company but deducted my pending balance – without discussing it with me or receiving my authorization. Having held the money for 3 months without performing the services, the money should have been returned with interest. I have made a report to the Better Business Bureau for the reimbursement of money that Delvecchio unduly and unethically deducted from my account, along with interest since the money was withdrawn and held in abeyance for services not performed.

My 10/18/19 1:10 appointment was for a cleaning, which NEVER happened, that I arrived early for. Went back for the full mouth xrays then was put in a chair. The hygienist came in did her thing and told me that I needed a $300+ deep cleaning and left. "Can't do it today as I was suppose to be off at one." Hello? Apt was for 110? Obviously no type of cleaning was going to be performed today. The service that my appointment was for.

Next in was the dentist. 15 minute exam later and you have 12 small cavities. Need to set up appointment schedules and payment plan to get started. Sent to front for checkout, told I have great insurance, my out of pocket cost only $1200. Sign up for their payment plan and I'm billed right then, BEFORE ANYTHING is done, $700+. 3 hrs later I leave, tired and hungry. Decide Monday second opinion wanted, call and cancel all procedure apt. Received calls from both the hygienist AND owner asking why. WTREALLY?

The end of November I get a bill from Dent 1st for payment on the $700+ because they never backed out the payment. Had to call back TWICE the beginning of December to get them to issue a credit. December 27th there's another bill payment request for $47, again for service NEVER rendered. I'm having to make MULTIPLE calls AGAIN, to have them issue credit AGAIN, for services NEVER received, AGAIN. Also note that a request for dental xrays was submitted that as of 12/27/19 I still have not received.

The next visit they scheduled me I had to wait over half an hour before the dentist even came in to see me then had to wait another hour for the work to be done, they overbook appointment which is not fair to have to waste my time while dentist sees other patients. Since I didn't complete some of the allotted work I got a crown on one of my teeth because I knew all of my insurance was not used and it wouldn't cost me as much as originally planned. I go for the work and again have to wait a long time due to overbooking. The dentist did the work but left the assistant to finish the crown prep thus causing her to hurt my mouth and me being in a lot of pain. When I went they charged me a price which I paid, go back 2 weeks later only to have a different dentist finish the crown. No other payment was asked for.

Three weeks later I get a bill in the mail for the same amount I had already paid. I call them asking about it. The girl I spoke to didn't seem to know what she was doing and put me on hold for someone else to answer my question and I got a whole explanation that was bull. So after 10 years dentures seem to be the answer. Went to Aspen based on their ads and that should have been the first clue that we were making a mistake. Fortunately the top dentures seem to work out fine, but the bottom denture never fit. I was hospitalized for six weeks from May to June 2019 and after returning to aspen, for an permanent bottom denture, the problems began.

From mid July to today December 19, 2019 there have been many adjustments and would have been more but we could not get scheduled. I have not been able to eat since May except for soup and puddings. So today I find out that they now want to charge my 149 for adjustments. When I asked for paperwork that states adjustments will be charged after so many and they said they were never ask that question and would try to find backup for their statement. Satisfaction guaranteed is just a buzz work for Aspen. Do not believe it. Now we have to find another dentist to fix what we already paid for. DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR ADS.... Called office this morning to inform I could not swallow while wearing these and stated to me not much that they could do or willing to do. They were real quick to grab my insurance money and cash though. Out 10K and insurance will not cover going to a more professional dentist for 5 yrs.

Went for an exam and cleaning. I have had my teeth cleaned every 6 months for about 65 years. They told me I couldn't have that normal (Prophylaxis) cleaning. I needed to have a $2500 deep cleaning. I told them I didn't want that. I wanted to have the same one that I have had for many years. I was not having any problems with my teeth, but they didn't want my low cost business. Very unprofessional. They will be my dentist as long as I give them the $2500.

Aspen Dental seemed like the right place to go for a root canal and a crown until it turned out not to be. I went to Aspen Dental in Bloomingdale, which is a 45 minute drive from where I live. Not to mention each time I had to go I could not work. So I went in June of this year and had a root canal done. Everything seemed fine as I wasn’t in any pain. They did a good job with the pain management portion and I guess when you're paying over $1200 that’s the least they could do. Anyhow this is where it gets bad. I was scheduled to come in a week later for the crown, which was over $900 and I had paid all of this up front.

Upon arriving to my first appointment I was notified that they could not put the crown on because it was the wrong size and could not fit. They put a temporary crown on the tooth to protect it. Things happen so I didn’t trip and scheduled another appointment for the following week. Again I arrive at my second appointment only to find out a second time that the crown could not fit properly on the tooth and therefore they had to try a different way. So instead of them doing the mold they decided to do a 3D scan. They guarantee that this would work and so I was rescheduled to come back in the following week.

Upon my arrival on the third visit come to find out that the crown still did not fit. A different dentist walked into the room, looked at the crown, the x-ray, my tooth and the look on her face told me that something was wrong. She then told me that the crown was the wrong size and that this never happens. They needed to do another 3D scan and another fitting. I told them that this was unacceptable and I demand my money back so that I could go to another dentist. I have already lost a lot of revenue traveling back and forth and shutting down my business for these appointments. Also once a root canal has been done you have a limited time to get the crown on so that you will not get an infection from the tooth being exposed. Well I was refunded my $900 and thought this nightmare was over.

I scheduled an appointment with another dentist and was told that whoever did my root canal did a poor job cleaning the root canal by not going deep enough. They refused to do the root canal stating that I needed to go back to the original dentist and get it corrected. The dentist stated that if she puts a crown over it and something happens to my tooth she would be liable since she would have been the last one to touch it. Frustrated and irritated not wanting to go back to that location I researched to see if they had another location.

About a month or so later I found that they had a location in Bolingbrook so I scheduled an appointment there. Why a month, because I had to play catch up at work as well as trying to find an opening in my schedule as well. Anyhow the dentist was really nice and upfront about everything. After looking at my x-rays he wasn’t sure if he could take me and had to ask his manager. The regional manager Brittany said that he could take me. He did an x-ray and had to schedule me to come back for the molding. I came back a week later and then they did the molding and was scheduled to come back in a week to have it put on. In the meantime I am starting to fill pressure building up in my gums.

I go to my third visit and I explain to him about the pressure and he states that ”it's an infection in my root canal”. So he prescribed me a ** to kill off the infection and to come back a week later and we could see if the infection was gone. I arrive at my fourth appointment and come to find out that the infection is still there. We agree for me to take ** and if that didn’t work I would have to go to a specialist. You guessed it, as I arrived to my fifth and final appointment the infection was still there and I had to go see a specialist which he referred me to. At this point I scheduled an appointment with my parents dentist to get another opinion since this company has failed to rectify the situation. I arrive at my second opinion and the dentist verifies that it is an infection and that I had to go see a specialist. He referred me out and I scheduled the appointment.

I arrive at the appointment with the specialist and he confirms that it’s infected and he could take care of it for a little over $1200. This is the price that I already paid to Aspen Dental and they did a poor job and so what should have only cost me $1200 is now going to cost me $2400. I think not. So after getting this news I contact Aspen Dental Corporate to request my money back for the root canal as well because I have to have it done over. Brittany tells me that I signed a paper stating that it might fail. With that being true it didn’t fail but the job was done poorly. I can not afford to come out of pocket with another $1200 for another root canal on the same tooth. I should not have to pay for a job done and cared for poorly. Brittany told me that if I can have my second opinion write a letter stating that the job was done poorly she would refund my money.

Truth be real what other professional thats in the same industry is going to write to their fellow colleagues a letter of them doing a poor job with their name on it. I believe Brittany knows that they dropped the ball on it and instead of humbling themselves and taking it as a lost they would rather put the loss onto the customer (patient). So if you want a company that cares about their customers (patients) Aspen Dental IS NOT THE PLACE.

Dentist does not like questions as I seemed to insult his "intelligence". He demanded a retainer. (I am 47. No other dentist ever even suggested one) I asked him his methodology to help me understand him behind that thought and he walked away. No explanation, no nothing other than "get another opinion if you want". I said, "I might. Thank you." Never saw him again.

Scaling and planing seem to be a standard business norm and cost about 1000 (not covered by insurance). Now I read and hear that is a norm with them. Advert says open Saturdays. They are not. Offered finance plan that charges prior to services rendered= interest charges prior to services rendered. Blood pressure wrist cuffs way off. Went to walk in doctor as a result to get it waived per dentist instruction. 1st question from nurse was, "Did you come from Aspen?"

I explained that I questioned the blood pressure cuffs accuracy. She laughed and believes they are too. Blood pressure was well within limits for extraction per guidelines published by the American Dental Association. Called back dental office to reschedule. Still declined to extract and rather referred me to an oral surgeon they are connected with with again, no explanation. It would be my thoughts they get paid for referrals as well. Overall experience is less than one star.

When I first came to the Aspen Dental in Concord, NH, it was a great experience. They helped me through getting over my dear of the dentist, they were transparent, especially with pricing, and scheduling and appointment was easy. However, within the past 4 months, my experience has been very different.

    1) I was told doing a payment plan for my Invisalign would be easy and there was no penalty if I missed a payment. This was beyond incorrect. I missed a payment and my credit was immediately hit. I have overheard them say this over and over to other Invisalign patients and it is misleading and deceitful.
    2) My appointments have been moved or cancelled, without my knowledge, and I only found out about these changes because I either showed up in the office and they were not expecting me for another week, or when I called double checking my date and time only to find out that my appointment doesn't exist.
    3) They are notoriously behind. For example, I have waited 25+ minutes to be seen on multiple occasions.

    4) They changed my appointment type without telling me, and blamed it on Invisalign. I came in one day to get my first trays, only to find out they had to re-do the pictures. Again, I wasn't told until I arrived in the office.

Although the staff is friendly overall, and the work that is done is decent, as soon as I am done with my Invisalign, I will be leaving Aspen Dental.

I have been dealing with Aspen since 2002. I needed a new set in 2017. Make a long story short...I was back to the office numerous times to have them filed so much you can read a paper through them. The uppers kept breaking in half. Was told they did not make them properly. The broke again Nov. 6th 2019. I went in and they made and appointment for Nov 20th. I went the first 10 days eating ice cream and pudding. I should have gone to ER. So my brother had enough and glued them so I could at least eat mashed potatoes and such. I was keeping Aspen informed through all of this. I go there yesterday and the dentist would not even listen to my problem and kicked me out of the office. It is not so much the dentures now. It is the way I was treated. I am going to fight this. Already got lots of info thanks to people in high places.

Was told it takes 7-10 business days. On 11/18/2019 I called to inquire on the status of the refund. I was told that Bethany was at lunch and would be back at 2pm. That they would leave her a note to call me. 2:45 I called back. She was on the phone. I called back 1.5 hours later she was with a patient. Another 1.5 hours later she was not at her desk, the person who answer said she would place another sticky note on her desk. On 11/19/2019 I called at 10am. Bethany this time was on the bank. I asked if Bethany had a supervisor. They said yes. She was a traveling supervisor name Kayla. They didn't know her number. She wasn't in the office.

I was placed on hold and another person name Tania came on the phone; said the problem was that bank rejected my two bank cards?? The same two cards they were able to immediately get money from! The same cards from 2 separate active checking accounts! They didn't have the common decency to inform me there was a problem. I asked if they could cut me a check. She said it comes from corporate. I asked so when can I get my refund. She said they would submit a ticket for a refund to corporate by Friday. If it is approved they will process it, it will take an addition 7-14 days time to receive the refund. If the bank reject it again they would start the process over and it would take an additional 7-14 days to receive a paper check. I asked for corporate number. She said she didn't know it. Look it up and hung up on me. This is a bad business practice.

Being retired and having no dental insurance I was told that BC/BS had an affordable plan for couples. Was pleased to find a plan for $82/qtr that covered 2 cleanings, Xrays and very reasonable coverage for other procedures with low deductibles. The problem was finding a decent provider. After a lot of trial and error we found Aspen Dental.

All started well. The facility (Owings Mills) was clean, modern and the staff very amenable. But things soon went downhill. The staff turned over a lot and we never had the same hygienist. The dentist we saw were okay. I had a troublesome front tooth and was talked into a $5000 implant. When I showed up with the check in my pocket I asked the Office Manager why she wouldn't return my calls. She essentially went off on me and threatened to have me arrested when I went off on her.

The Corp Office straightened that out and things got back to "normal" until our last visit. First we were told that they were no longer accepting DHMOs but would continue to honor ours. Then we weren't charged the $20 deductible for our cleanings which turned out to be thorough brushings after which we were told that we needed the deep cleaning and scaling. Long story short, we went back to our old dentist and were told that we in fact didn't need those procedures... all of our reading were like 2s with a couple of 3s. I would highly recommend steering clear of this place even if one has good insurance... especially if one has good insurance.

Went to Aspen Dental. Was treated with lots of respect and caring. Had horrible teeth. Dentist gave me a long term major solution and if I couldn't afford that a fix that would get me by (pulling a couple teeth) then went back to manager office and was quoted a cost with what my insurance covers. At which point I called care credit and was approved for that amount, well beyond actually. Had all the major dental work done over a two month time period and everything was fine even good.

So an appointment was made for me to talk with manager about cost for partial and different type of partials. I live an hour and a half from closest Aspen because thats closest dentist my insurance covered so I couldnt just show up anytime thing had to be planned out. Showed up at time scheduled and manager not there that day but the lady behind the desk said they already know my cost because it is a specific amount. I agreed to cost and was going to use my care credit but was told that we couldnt use that because I had a credit for my insurance overpaying and I had to use that first. So to use that credit they had me go back for a special cleaning and to be fitted.

Everything was fine and I was to come back in a week to make sure thing fit right before being cast. At that point they said I am all even with amount owed so I paid with care credit for my partials. Came back in 2 weeks later and they werent quite right so they had to send them in and I came back another couple weeks later. Never an issue. Partials fit great and I was a happy customer.

Fast forward 3 months and I get a bill for almost $1500. I called and asked why and they said I did not pay for my partials ($999). When I said I did AND I pulled up care credit on computer while talking to them so I had all the info then whoever I was talking to said someone would have to call me back. A week of no call I called and was then told my insurance didnt pay everything so what I paid was applied to that and not partials, however they still didnt have date right. When I questioned that and I questioned what about my credit for insurance overpayment. Then was told their record dont show what my records show nor what their bill even shows, so someone has to call me back.

A few days later I got called and was told my bill was only 300 but yet I have bill say almost 1500 and they wanted me to come in for another cleaning the next day. That would be 3 cleanings in five months, that didnt sound right so I questioned. Was told someone would call me back, was called back and was told everything was fine. I just need to come in. But I declined to just come in.

Fast forward another couple months now Aspen Dental keeps calling leaving message to call local office when I do I am back to owing 1500 but they have no records of me paying ANYTHING by care credit even though I have all the info. Next I get care credit involved and I get told Aspen will look into it and contact me but only contact I am getting is same robo call telling me to call local office and when I do I get a different person each time and they are confused and says someone will contact me. Total process going on 11 months so far and Insurance says they paid everything billed to them, and care credit billing me for charges done by aspen dental and I been paying that.

This was the first time I had gone to Aspen Dental. I went to get new Dentures. No one was at the front desk for a long, long time. There was a sign that said if a person was late they would have to reschedule. I was there very early, When someone finally came out, I was given a long form with medical questions to fill out (which should have been sent thru the mail earlier), because there were a LOT of questions that most people would not know off-hand. Luckily, I had brought all my medical info with me. They x-rayed my mouth (which I told them I did not think I needed, because I have no teeth). After the x-ray, I saw the Dentist and told her I could not afford and did not want implants, we talked about the dentures.

The Dentist did seem to be a very nice person, not her fault where she works I suppose. I told them quite a few times to send their estimate of the price they are asking for my dentures to my Dental Insurance Office for what is called a pre-determination or pre-treatment estimate, as you probably know, insurance companies usually don't pay the full amount that is requested. And, I wanted to know ahead of time from the Insurance Company what my share of the bill would be. I told them this needed to be done ASAP, and please put a "rush" on it, because I really, really needed new dentures. I called my Dental Insurance Office today (8 days after my dental appointment) and they have not received a request for a pre-determination/pre-treatment estimate.

It is Monday, Aspen is suppose to be open from 7-5 today. I called 3 telephone numbers that are listed. They are all Aspen Dental numbers. I got messages on all 3 that I should call back during business hours. I called around 1-2 p.m. I know they are supposed to be open today. No way to get a hold of them. I'm going to tell them that I find they have not even submitted a Pre-treatment estimate to my Insurance Office and then on the print out they gave me of charges for dentures they don't even have the correct group number for my insurance. Sad. I will have to go elsewhere. But I could have saved a LOT of time and grief by not going to them in the first place.

Instructed new assistant that each procedure had a specific time frame that was not to be exceeded. Don't let the free exam and x rays fool you. The dentist broke my partial trying to make it fit to new dental work but was willing to sell me a new partial for $2200.00. I had a new perfectly fitting quality partial made locally for 1300.00. Also I had very impersonal service, staff was cold and indifferent. This place is a dental assembly line!!
