They left a message on my voicemail to provide them payment for duties and instructions saying to called 1 800 number and say "make payment". The automated attendant sent me to "make pickup" instead and provided no way of escaping the wrong menu choice. It took 4 tries, before I got through to "make payment" and I was forced to hang up and go through the entire ritual every time. The fellow working there said he would be a millionaire if he was paid for every time someone complained about the phone system, but the owner doesn't want to make any changes. "Sorry but nothing we can do." If I did that in my business, I would not be in business for very long. I am still steaming over the whole experience.

Sender paid for express delivery signature required. I waited home all day for delivery. Delivery person did not come to my front door and knock. He slide door tag under patio gate. How thoughtless, inconsiderate of another person's time and money. I would never use FedEx for this 1 reason. Called customer service, operator said she would try to get it redelivered. After 30 I called back and was told there would be no redelivery today but tomorrow. They were not even considerate enough to call me back to let me know that. FedEx service needs extreme overhauling and a class on customer service needs to be given to drivers and dispatch. Lazy drivers and dispatcher. I would never use them again.

Hate is a strong word I'm told... However, when I say I HATE FedEx... I MEAN I HATE THEM... soooo incompetent and refused to help me the way I requested when they are the reason I was inconvenienced in the first place. Package was supposed to be overnight delivery... though my ESTIMATED delivery was Dec 27, by 8 pm... WHY? I left work early to make sure I would be home for... It never go to my residence AT ALL... Stated it was being held in Tennessee for 3 days for... what??? NO ANSWERS. Called them back this morning. Told me that it would be delivered 4 pm, so I left work early for a second time to find a notice that I missed them literally 12 minutes prior at 1511. I asked could they come back since I passed the truck, still in my neighborhood and they refused, telling me they would try back TOMORROW??

My package is now 3 days late from an overnight and you can't turn around when in the same neighborhood to convenience a customer that you stiffed for 3 days now? HOW WICKED AND NASTY. I have to drive to a location 10 miles from me, at 7 pm this evening to pick up my 3 DAYS LATE package that should have been delivered TO MY DOORSTEP and all they say is SORRY. I will never as long as I have breath, deal with FedEx again if I can help it... UPS NEVER GAVE ME A PROBLEM... they operate like clockwork. First time dealing with FedEx and certainly last. #FedUP.

They put in a "case" after me not receiving it then told me on Friday December 23, it would be here later that evening or Saturday December 24, by 6 pm. NEVER CAME! They told me Monday that the trailer was in Spartanburg SC, a few hrs away and that I would have it Monday night. Nope!! Not Monday not even today. I called today they told me there was NO ETA bc they are loading the trailer in SC to prepare to come to me.

I finally called the FedEx in SC and guess what? They told me they never even received it and told me to file a claim. This was a Christmas gift. This happened to me TWICE! I ordered all of my daughters' Christmas presents online in 2014 and had express for 1-2 day shipping and I received her things 2 days after Christmas. I AM DONE WITH THIS COMPANY. Do not use FedEx to send any time-sensitive packages. I had an order that was supposed to be delivered on December 21, but instead sat on a FedEx truck for delivery for three days and never got delivered. When I called FedEx on Christmas Eve morning, they said that they only have the resources to deliver items until the driver's shift ends, but promised that everything would be delivered on Christmas Eve no matter how late it took. I waited and waited all day, only to see on the tracking site at 9 pm that night that the package was back at the delivery facility. Now I have to explain to my daughter why her sister received the gift she wanted, but she did not. I used to always prefer FedEx, but after this experience, will do my best to avoid them and have encouraged Amazon to use another carrier. They're unreliable and dishonest.

I ordered a package a few weeks ago, with EXPRESS SHIPPING. Maybe FedEx is especially ** because of the holidays. However, their email notification package tracker is inaccurate, and their service representatives all sound miserable and only read off the same information that's in the email (aka, useless). The email notifications told me 2 days in a row that my package would be delivered, but it wasn't delivered either of those days. The next day it told me it'd be delivered in 4 days.

The first time I called a representative, they told me the same thing my email said, (that my package would be delivered by 8 pm) but it wasn't delivered. Today, I go to check my front door to find that I "missed" the delivery by 10 minutes. When I was home...with a chihuahua that barks whenever anyone knocks. Needless to say, no one knocked on my door. I'm fed up with FedEx (pun intended). They're a major mailing company handling valuable items. This type of service is unacceptable.

Now, the driver has left a package not delivered notice on my front gate. I know it's Christmas Eve, I know it's raining, but I've got 2 big dogs and if he'd made any noise at all, they'd have barked. Now have called customer service, what a joke, 3 times. All have said a manager will call me back with info to go pick the package up. Exactly why I had it shipped, didn't want to drive to pick the package up. They also have delivered $30,000 worth of their 3 drugs to a neighbor and destroyed another box containing the same drug and delivered it anyway although the box said to return to sender. Halfway taped it.

If you try automated phone service on Thursday and Friday, despite it being after the scheduled delivery date, the system still says "The package WILL BE delivered on Wednesday by 5:30 pm." When you are waiting for a person to come onto the line on the customer service phone line -- no one ever came on the line -- each time I gave up after 1/2 hour. I paid for 2 day shipping, checked tracking all day long and according to the tracking info the package was on a truck at 10:04 in the morning but still couldn't make it to me. They had a 10 hour day and couldn't get the job done. I want my money back and no telling what they are going to put me through to get it. This amounts to stealing!!! I just wanted to say that FedEx is the worst mailing company in my opinion, USPS are amazing comparing to them. Last year I had several problems with packages that were sent by FedEx, in my both worlds: personal and professional (my work has everything to do with logistics and depend on companies like UPS and FedEx). On personal level it was shipment from Wal-mart (I do not understand why they keep working with FedEx). I spoke to supervisors and managers at FedEx, and they did not even offer me to expedite the shipping of the items that they had lost. Unbelievable!

One of the stories from last year: I received damaged good and arranged the exchange. It was 100 lb punch bag kit. When FedEx picked it up, it was said that the package weight was 70 lb. How?! I cannot even imagine. Because of this I had problems later, Wal-mart kept saying they had not received the returned item. FedEx, probably, lost it. They lost my other order, did not deliver on time (and it was the supply for surgery case for the patient at work), and so on. My last drop came a week ago. We exchanged one of the goods by warranty. The label for pick up was created on Tuesday, FedEx showed up to pick that package up only on Sunday. It took them 5 business days to come to pick up the package!!! What in the World?! I personally, would never go to FedEx to serve my family with anything!

It will be delivered by 9:00pm". I called them at 9:30pm the 21st and got "I'm sorry, the delay is due to weather". Oakland is 15 miles away and as far as I know there hasn't be even a whiff of fog between Oakland and SFO in the last 48hrs. Them using the weather excuse just tells me that they don't know why it's delayed anymore than I do and they're just throwing excuses at me to see which ones will shut me up. Ok, so it's now Dec 22nd at 12:30pm and the package still hasn't been scanned out of Oakland. I sure wouldn't have paid $84.00 to get it there next day if I had been told it wouldn't even get here in 2 days!

FEDEX advertise that they pick up from business and residential places. I have a label that the company emailed me and I printed out from my computer for an item I purchased that was defective to return as "Express Return" from my apt. I scheduled a pickup date and time and was given a confirmation # **. They told me that FEDEX will arrive between the hours on 11 am - 5 pm. I stayed home all day waiting for FEDEX to come to my apt to pick-up. I even called while I waited for them to come to make sure they are coming. They did call me after 5 hours of waiting to tell me that the FEDEX driver will be delayed in picking up my package and will arrive within 3 hours. When 3 hours passed, I call them again and waited a long time on hold for someone to answer my call.

When FEDEX rep from customer support finally spoke with me, I was told someone did arrive 2 hours ago and the driver filed a report stating no one was home which was false. No one rang the bell to my apt in which I live in an apt complex with over 100 apts. I complained to FEDEX that the driver filed a false report. I am appalled by how FEDEX operates and does not monitor their staff specifically their drivers. There should be consequences or fine FEDEX for false advertisement. There should be an investigation into this matter because this is definitely a rip off for the consumers who already paid for this service.

I had to call FEDEX again and reminded them that I officially placed a complaint verbally on the phone and via email to their customer support website.

Interesting to note, emailing a complaint via email to FEDEX website, no response was given as to their action plan to resolve this issue. I only received an automated email receipt that they did receive it which does not mean a thing if there is no actual response with an action plan. I did re-schedule another pick-up date from my apt. and again I have to wait all day for them to arrive... still waiting. UPS does a much better service than FEDEX but since the company chose to pay FEDEX to pick up my return package, I unfortunately have to use this service. Consumers beware, do not use FEDEX. It is better to use UPS.

I was waiting for my package which required me to sign. Until the second try (based on the door tags), I never saw the FedEx truck, nobody rang the bell or knocked my door. My living room window is located towards the community entrance which every cars get in/out, plus community mail box, but the delivery guy mysteriously sneaked without any delivery truck and put the non-available door tag on my door.

Also, visiting time on the door tag was totally wrong because it could not take more than 30 mins to stick the little note on my door, and I even got another package from USPS at the exact time period on the FedEx door tag (the USPS guy parked near my window, delivered my package, and took care of community mail box for an hour). I am very curious how and from where the FedEx guy popped in my community to put the (handwritten) note on my door. It might take 1 hr for the FedEx guy to fill out the little door tag, and the USPS guy and I lost our sight temporary to see the poor FedEx delivery guy was standing right next to us to fill out the door tag.

I have had several bad encounters with FedEx lately. Here's the first. My fiance had ordered a new iPhone to be delivered and signature was required. I was off from work, so I waited. I was living on a multi-unit property at the time and when the woman from FedEx pulled in and honked her horn. I went outside to meet her. Before I could even get down the stairs, she honked again. I went out in the pouring rain and then met her by the driver's side door. She then proceeded to criticize me for not putting the apartment number on the package. I told her I wasn't sure why it wasn't on there, because the label was generated from our billing address with Verizon.

She continued to complain about how she came to my property, had no idea where to go because of the address and how silly it was that I didn't put my address and how I was lucky that she didn't drive away with it and leave me with nothing. Really? She honked the horn, and I came running, IN THE RAIN!!! She literally never left her seat! And she still was complaining even after I explained to her that it wasn't our fault there was no apartment number? She was complaining for the sheer purpose of complaining. I could not have made it easier for her despite her issue. Very uncalled for.

Newest issue: order a package that was shipped out on 12/3 from NJ (I live in NY). Here's the path it has taken: Jersey City, NJ - Keasby NJ - Windsor, CT - Caladonia, MN (what???) - Des Moines, IA and (last update, 12/14) in transit to Jersey City. No new info, "pending" scheduled delivery date, not coming in time for the holidays. Awesome. What can brown do for you??? Anything better than FedEx.

I swear they must sit in their trucks with binoculars and wait until the customer leaves before making any attempt to drop off their packages.

I could not drive out in the snow to the FedEx location to pick up, and now the delivery update states the package will be delivered Tuesday. What happened to Monday? Whomever is in charge of updates and delivery scheduling must take great glee in the despair of their customers. I swear I'll be lucky if I get my laptop before the new year! For now, I am reduced to utilizing my old laptop which is held together with duct tape and a few Hail Mary's. They have had pretty good marks in the past, but then they decided it was cheaper to deliver mail to the USPS offices "by delivery date" to make them more money. Now they can't even do that on time. Multiple shipments from multiple companies were received by FedEx by Dec. 6, to be delivered "5-7 business days." I'm complaining now, because it's December 15, and my FedEx packages have just arrived at the USPS leg of their trip, and they "should arrive by Dec. 17."

Count them, that's 7-8 business days to USPS, +2 more if you include the day they to be delivered, on a Saturday. This Delivery Address is ATLANTA, GA, I'm talking about! If they can still deliver their 1- and 2-day shipments, I don't know anymore. But, for regular shipments like these, you should completely remove the FedEx leg of the shipment out of the delivery. You should have USPS do it from door to door since FedEx is using USPS to deliver their packages. The FedEx leg is the slow/late leg of your FedEx shipments!

It appears that every time I have orders delivered by "FedEx home Delivery" the package is either left at my front door or stolen. I have called customer service and was told they know better than to leave a package at my door in a building with over 40 tenants. My $400 order from Victoria's Secret was stolen because the delivery guy claim he left it under the mailbox! (Let me remind you that my mailbox is in my building next to all 40 tenants, and anyone from the public/or building can take my package and walk off.) I guess when Victoria Secret get tired of replacing my orders they will use another carrier or at least ask for signature! Such an inconvenience for customers, when FedEx is not suppose to leave the packages unattended according to their manager!

He did leave a sticker with "attempted to reach customer" however. Funny but he never rang bell or knocked. Called & complained immediately after courier left & was told he'd be back within couple of hrs. Then I received a call an hr later that he was back at the FedEx building & all done, but they said I can drive out to Windsor Locks to pick it up. Why should I do that?? How about have your couriers do their job correctly?? Oh & apparently you have to request they ring or knock... seriously?? This is a joke of a company. Totally disgusted.

So I scheduled a delivery for the next business day and once again requested for the delivery to be after 5 PM. I left work early and got home at 3 PM. I went downstairs to put something away and was downstairs for approximately 3 minutes. When I came upstairs I received a text from FedEx that they missed me again and to reschedule the delivery. The driver never rang the door bell. I called them and requested for the driver to return since this all occurred within 10 minutes and the driver still could be in the area. Needless to say I still did not get my package. Nothing can be done and they could care less. It is just amazing how this company succeeds with such lousy customer service.

I am furious and upset with FedEx. Two heavy packages containing an expensive machine were delivered to my residence but instead of taking the package to my door, which is upstairs, they left the packages outdoors at the bottom of the stairs. These packages are heavy, weighing around 100 pound each and cannot be lifted up the stairs by me, a 60 year old female without a dolly or assistance. FedEx was hired to deliver this to my door but now the packages sit exposed to the weather and potential theft for the next two days until the FedEx reopens.

I contacted Fedex in the early evening on the day of delivery as soon as I returned home from work and discovered the packages near the parking lot of my building. The rep I spoke with assured me someone would call me back to assist me within 2 hours. No one called back. I again called and was told, "So sorry, can't help you until Monday." This is unacceptable. I paid $1500 for the machine that the FedEx delivery man just dumped at the bottom of my stairs and which is now subject to theft, weather damage and exposure, potentially for several days. I used to think FedEx was an efficient and superiorly run company, but this delivery has changed my opinion. FedEx sucks.

FedEX has informed me that they will not keep security code information on file. Now I learn they will not use a gate code, even when it is printed on the shipping label. Surely I'm not the only person who lives with a security gate, and buys from Amazon? I have a security gate that is about 40 feet from the street, in plain sight of all passing traffic. My house is 1,200 feet away, up a hill and behind trees. I provide the security code ON the shipping label to be used by Amazon, and FedEx still will not use the code and deliver my package to my door.

This is in a very rural area. There is no pavement or sidewalk outside the gate, just grass and dirt. At this time of year, deep wet grass, and mud. The driver just left my $1,200+ Rinnai furnace outside the gate this afternoon, the carton sitting in wet grass - not covered with plastic and getting drizzled on. I didn't know they did not use the code - I thought the delivery was still on its way.

I'm a sixty year old woman, and when I learned by email that my package had been "DELIVERED" (quote, unquote) I got in my pickup truck and drove down to find it at the gate. It's a wall furnace. It's heavy. I had to drag it through the mud to my truck, lower the tailgate, get the bottom edge tipped up onto the edge of the tailgate, then lift and push this heavy box up into the back of the truck. Every time I place an order with Amazon Prime I cringe. If I'm lucky enough to have them deliver by UPS I can relax, otherwise it's nothing but stress.

The customer representative said there was no way she could tell where the truck was. I find that very hard to believe. Every company has dispatches. UPS knows exactly where their trucks are at all times. My husband drives truck and they have GPS tracking on their trucks. So now I have sat at home waiting and not at work for nothing and still without my package. Very disappointed with FedEx.

I was expecting three separate deliveries. On Monday 11/28/16 @ 3:32pm, the FEDEX driver rang my doorbell. I rushed downstairs to answer the door and found that my package was left on the sidewalk up against my gate. The FedEx driver was already in his vehicle and driving down the street. On Tuesday 11/29/16 I was expecting another delivery. This one arrived at 3:42pm. I rushed to answer the door as before and found that again my package was left on the sidewalk up against my gate. I was clearly annoyed because of prior experiences so I went outside to speak to the driver about leaving my packages on the sidewalk. I did not see the FEDEX truck nor did I see the driver and I can usually hear the delivery truck if it is close by. The driver was long gone.

I also ordered merchandise from Verizon Wireless on the 25th of November, and it was set for 2-day shipping. I should have received this package on Monday the 28th of November but I did not receive it. Looking on the FEDEX delivery app it indicated that it was suppose to arrive on the 28th. Then when I look on the deliveries app later, delivery status said the "next day" or "pending". Tuesday same thing happened out for delivery earlier in the day then delivery date changed to next day. On Wednesday 11/30/16, according to FEDEX delivery information package from Verizon would be delivered. Looked on fedex delivery app later that day and found that delivery was changed to "PENDING".

I was more than angry, so I called Verizon Wireless to let them know that the merchandise that had a 2-day shipping I hadn't received yet. Customer Service agent at Verizon called FEDEX then connected my call to FEDEX. I asked the agent to explain why a package labeled two-day shipping has not been delivered within the specified time frame? Why is the delivery time always being changed to the Next Day or Pending? Why the delivery driver left my packages on the sidewalk for anyone walking or driving by could easily steal?

Customer Service agent told me that FEDEX tried to deliver the package from Verizon Wireless on Tuesday 11/29/16 @ 11:59am but I disputed that claim because I took time off work that week and stayed at home to receive the Fedex packages because I know that they will leave your deliveries outside your door for anyone to walk away with. Then the Customer Service agent told me that there was a problem with my address that's why my package was not delivered, then asked me to confirm my address. That too was a lie. My address was correct and I received other deliveries using same name and address on same days. Then he said maybe driver could not locate address.

I asked to speak Supervisor THAT WAS A WASTE OF 10-15 MINUTES ON HOLD! I explained the problems that I was having with their delivery service and also asked why I hadn't received the delivery from Verizon when it was labeled two day shipping? He just said that my package would be delivered on Thursday 12/01/16. One would think that when you speak to a Supervisor of a company with such complaints, that they would bend over backwards to accommodate you the customer as much as possible right? THINK AGAIN!!

I said to the Supervisor that it was a waste of time waiting to speak to him because he was not saying anything different than the customer service agent, and in fact he should being doing everything that he could to make sure that I received my package before the next day. His response to me was "I will receive it tomorrow" to which I said "I AM DEMANDING THAT I WANT MY PACKAGE DELIVERED TODAY!!"

Guess what! I received it finally at 6:50pm that same day. Maybe there was another Supervisor with more sense than the dummies that I spoke to, that knew the right thing to do. Has anyone seen what it said on your FEDEX packages "IT SAID LEAVE IF NO RESPONSE". Unfortunately, when you place an order you don't immediately know what delivery company a company uses. I recommend that we as consumers try some of the smaller delivery services. I have one of the apps on my phone. It is called DOORMAN.

You can also contact the company where you placed your order and let them know the manner in which your packages were delivered and how unsatisfied you are. Also call to see if someone wilI be reading and responding to your email. I did that myself about these deliveries. The first person that responded to my email, I was not happy with their reply. I then replied this person. Then I received another reply from another person. The response did much more to satisfy me as a customer and I was sent a 10% off on my next purchase.

CHECK OUT FEDEX AT THEIR BEST YOUTUBE VIDEOS!!! Showing how they treat merchandise that customers have spent their hard earned money on. PS: I have never had any of these kinds of problems when I receive packages from UPS, and I have received shipments from them for commercial and residential. FAR SUPERIOR TO FEDEX. This company has repeatedly failed to deliver packages. This will be the most recent occurrence when it comes to their failures. Their first attempt to deliver was fair, I was not home to receive this package; however on the 2nd and 3rd attempts I was sitting in silence waiting for a knock, a buzzer ring, a phone call, something! But to no surprise, I received a notification that their attempt to deliver failed because "I was not present." On the contrary, I had been waiting back and forth between a loud buzzer and the door. I then tried to rectify this problem, but can not because they have no humans to speak to (via online "live chat" and phone call). I also, paid the extra $12 to wait anyway. Sad, I know.

Online they say, "I am so and so and want to help", however when you respond to them with the issue at hand. They stop responding to you. You will sit there for hours to come to a realization, no one is actually there. Phone Calls will get you nowhere as well. They only provide you with a voice machine that spits out options to change delivery address, which will make zero sense since they will do the same thing to the other address. It will give you another option that will tell you the window of delivery, which also makes zero sense since they won't show up anyway. Another option is that will defeat the purpose of the delivery option entirely -- Schedule a Pick Up. FedEx is a joke, period. I mean come on, grow a pair and talk to your customers. Fix the problems you are creating, or stop doing business altogether and stop wasting peoples' precious time with your shenanigans. P.S. Give me my package, damn it.

I will call customer service and find out where I can pick my package up myself at FedEx. Customer service tells me that I can pick up my package that evening at the distribution center between 6pm and 7pm the same evening. I drive 30 minutes to the distribution center where I am told to "wait 10 minutes and we will bring the package out to you". After waiting 20 minutes an employee shows up with no package and says "your package is not here, it is with a contract driver." The employee also said, "Your package will be delivered sometime tomorrow". So I drive 30 minutes back home empty handed.

The next morning I contact FedEx customer service to get the status of my package. The customer service rep was very polite but was speaking broken English and was unable to comprehend my questions about my package status. She did tell me that, "I would not get my package till Monday". I let her know that I would not be home Monday to sign for the package, and requested to have the package held a location closer to my home so I could pick it up. The language barrier was complicating our communication and now I am waiting for the next problem to come out of what I view as a extremely unreliable delivery service.

The idea that FedEx is unable to provide accurate information to the customer to allow basic coordination of package delivery has lost my confidence in their service. FedEx should know the status of customer packages (even between employees and customer service). When you get conflicting information from two or more FedEx associates, it tells me the company needs to improve the package status system to ensure the same information is reaching all parties involved. We are on the third floor of a building in a gated complex. Packages sit at doors regularly for hours and even days without incident. The package was over 40" tall and over 40lbs.

After speaking with neighbors, maintenance, and management, the general consensus is that theft does not occur here, but issues with FedEx have occurred. I spoke to a FedEx Ground driver (who indicated he is the regular driver for our complex) and said it must have been a FedEx Home Delivery driver as he did not see any disputed package alerts for his route. The investigating rep at FedEx informed me that they contacted the driver in question and were told the package had been delivered correctly. I was told to contact the shipper, Balsam Hill, which I had already done and from whom I'm waiting further news of their 'investigation'. So, coming up on Christmas, I am currently out $400 and have no Christmas Tree to show for it. It seems very doubtful that the package was ever at our door at any time.

I waited an entire day for a package and kept tracking it. At 7:00 PM I went in to tracking and saw that FedEx noted that I was not available for delivery. I did not receive any notice. I did not receive a knock on my door and I did not see the FedEx truck pull up anywhere close to my home. I called customer service asking if I could get the phone number to the local branch or if perhaps they could radio the driver to deliver my package which I needed. They were not able to do that. This is not the first time this has happened to me. A few months ago FedEx delivered a 50 pound box to my neighbor's home and I had to find a male who was available to carry the box to my home for me since I was unable to carry it and my female neighbor was also unable to carry it. FedEx has the worst service of any company that I have ever had to deal with. If I could I would give them a rating of -0.

So that I cannot get a refund? Great. US Postal Service is at least cheaper than FedEx.

After all that sent all the proper paperwork about my complaint was told they were going to investigate and would take 5 to 7 days to make a decision. Three days later I received a letter saying the bad news was I would not get any compensation and the case was closed. The driver said he had been to my home 2 more times and I wasn't home. It is their policy to "assume" that you, the consumer, have received the package and they refuse to look into it any further. I have had no problem with UPS and suggest you use them to ship & receive packages whenever possible. UPS has GREAT customer service! I, also, suggest that any time you do not receive a package FedEx and USPS say they delivered, that you file a formal complaint with each entity, call the store from which you purchased your item(s) and suggest the store use UPS instead. Then file a formal charge with your Police Department--even if the officers have a dismissive tone. Thievery is thievery... Even if a package is incompetently misdelivered.

When living in IL I was preparing to make a move and decided to take my packages elsewhere in search for low prices and better customer service. I found FedEx and was told that by using a FedEx account I could save time and money. Every time I went in, I would give them my account number and it would be quick and easy to just drop off my packages and pay with my account. I have successfully moved with all my packages, with many packages late but nothing concerning. It was a week and a half later when I went to check my online banking when I realized that a fraudulent purchase was made to my account a day earlier. This purchase was made in TN by FedEx for the amount of almost $150. Not only have I never been to TN, stopped using FedEx, and I am the only one who posses my FedEx account information.

But also after going through headache and stress because of this I came to find out through the internet that I was NOT the first one to be scammed by the FedEx company specifically in TN. This scares me in so many levels and upsets me as well especially because of how happy I was with FedEx initially. Now I don't have a reason to go back there again. I have never been so dissatisfied and upset about service given to me anywhere before. This could have potentially hurt me financially had I not caught it in time, especially because I have my credit card payment due in just a week. I think that if Fedex cared even in the slightest bit about their customers (the people who support and grow the company) that they would reach out to me, and stop this once and for all.

You know, guarantees fail sometimes. I accept that. But when a delivery is expected by 10:15 am guaranteed, and we call them flustered at 11am because we must board the train with this check on hand, the agent really should not have said "well there's nothing I can do, it's beyond my control." This has marked my typical experience with FedEx, where employees take it personally any allegation of negligence on the part of FedEx.

We had to instruct him to call the driver, get the status of delivery, and determine what the modified time of delivery is. He agreed to do that and call us back... and another 30minutes later, we call fedex back because the driver never called as agreed. We trace the truck all over again with the new agent on the phone, she claims she doesn't know when it will arrive. This is not acceptable. We relied on FedEx to get this check to hop on the train for one of the most important business transactions for my husband, and now our lives are on hold. We can't even call Amtrak to see what options exist for getting to our destination because we don't have the modified ETA.

This agent on the phone can only promise to "place a request to try to find the package, since record shows it left the Emeryville shipping center." This is not acceptable. This is a problem caused by FedEx, and it needs to be fixed by fedEx. This agent insists she didn't cause the plane delay which delayed the delivery-- why even bother saying something like that?

FedEx as a professional company needs to take formal responsibility. The manager came on the phone because the agent simply didn't know "what else to do," that manager said driver whereabouts are unknown and this he cannot give us even estimated arrival time of the envelope, other than that by end of the day today it should arrive.

FedEx advertises its service as if it's reliable, and I'm utterly shocked that when they cause an error how incompetent and apathetic the agents are in responding and actually constructively addressing the error towards resolution. I have seen this sort of issue with FedEx one too many times and I will not patronize this business for anything that requires absolute reliability like this time.

FedEx made us jump 10 too many loops just to get the case escalated to a manager who personally agreed to look into the matter and find the damn check and give us revised delivery time lest we drive to the driver ourselves since we are desperate for this envelope. No one can even find the package now, and three agents said to us it was scanned for departure and it's our problem if that's not enough information. The first agent didn't even call us back despite verbally promising to do so. Never trust a FedEx agent, they don't train their employees, they are not committed to upholding quality and integrity for the company, they may as well be hired temps for less than minimum wage off the streets.

I ordered a bicycle wheel from ebay. I payed $125 with free shipping. The shipper seller shipped item via Fedex with a tracking number. Due to some mix up by the sender, the package had 2 tracking numbers. The first was never sent so that was a bad tracking number. The other tracking number showed its full tracking details from sender to me. According to the tracking details, the package was delivered on Sep 2, 2016 pm with "Left at front door. Signature service not requested". I was not in for most of the day so when I did not see the package at the front door, I reviewed my security cameras. There was no fedex truck delivering a package to my front door anytime during the whole day.

I called fedex to inquire about the package. They sent out an "investigator" to find out what happened along with the delivery driver. I was not there to meet with either but I spoke with the "investigator" on the phone and explained how there was no package delivered and I have cameras to prove it. The investigator did his investigating, taking pictures and checking parallel streets to see if it was misdelivered. He came to the conclusion that it was driver error and that he will file the report and told me to contact sender to file a claim with them. I advised the sender to file a claim but nothing came of it. The shipper replied by saying that the package was delivered according to the tracking details and his/her job is done.

I filed a claim with ebay saying that I never received the package. They referred to the same tracking information and denied me saying the package was delivered. I filed a claim with paypal and they gave me the same response. I finally decided to file the claim with fedex. The first claim I mistakenly used the first "void" tracking number and just wasted weeks with no conclusion. Filed another claim with the correct tracking number and got denied with the same response that the tracking number shows that it was delivered. So... basically the package is delivered by scanning the package no matter where the package is.

For all I know, my wheel was delivered to the wrong doorstep or the driver kept it for himself. The key evidence here is that my 3 cameras show no fedex truck anywhere near my house at the indicated delivery time or anytime during that day. If they are denying the claim and putting their sole trust in the driver's package scan and trustful word, they are without a doubt mistaken.

Even paypal, ebay and the sender are happily satisfied with their hands washed with this "false" information. Meanwhile, I'm out $125, no purchased product, and 3 months of aggravation with no happy ending. Something to think about before buying anything from ebay/paypal and having it shipped by fedex. Based on this video evidence, fedex should fire their driver for incompetence.

The investigator that supposedly filed the investigation report should be questioned as to whether the report was really filed. The claims department should be investigated as to why the report wasn't used for the judgment. Seller, Paypal and ebay should be ashamed for putting responsibility on me but they are just relying on the fact that fedex is reputable enough to provide accurate tracking information when it's far from the truth.

When speaking to investigator, he said that the device used to scan the bar code uses cellular technology so if they were to look up the log of the scan, it would only show up as coming from the nearest cell tower. My suggestion would be that the device has gps and it sends that coordinate along with the bar code and timestamp. That way there is proof that the driver was at my doorstep for their record. As for my evidence, the cameras show that the driver lied about being at my doorstep to deliver package. Screenshot is the driver and investigator trying to figure out what happened.

Just tell me the truth and say you're sorry. And then to get a CSR who could barely speak english? My customers certainly wouldn't put up with this. We ship many packages a day in my business via UPS - never a problem. Really disappointing. Not the employee's fault. This is a management issue.

Horrible! FedEx has the most inconsistent and laziest drivers/couriers in life. How do you just decide not to deliver a package and not even attempt to buzz or ring a bell? Nor was a note even left behind to say that you attempted. Which is a clear indication that your driver is a lazy **! I was up since 7am waiting for a package that they decided not to even attempt to deliver. When I contacted customer service all they did was apologize and ask if I could pick up the package that they admitted to not delivering! WHAT IN THE HELL?? People pay extra money for this horrible service. I highly recommend using someone else especially for deadline reasons. You and I both need a company/service that we can trust. Stay clear of this one.

This is quite literally 8 minutes from my house, but due to the "genius" of the people in charge at FedEx, I'm getting my package on TUESDAY! When I called and asked if there was a way to get it earlier, I was told by the FedEx employee that the package is on a truck to go to the Milwaukee Post Office. From there it would be sent to the Waukesha Post Office. Then it should come in the normal mail by Tuesday. Let me think about how non-functional and stupid that is!

Have been at my home for 11 years. I know who lives here -- me. System rejected my sign up and there was no option to dispute it. Contacted Customer Support - totally worthless. 3 non responses and one explanation that did not even attempt to resolve the issue. Just more excuses. Should be investigated for using fraudulent information against consumers - for what? Because I wanted to sign up for a notification system? The fact they are BUYING my personal information bothers me. That they are buying FAKE, FALSE information and using that fake information to deny me services is worse.

I live in a apartment/complex and understand this is sometimes difficult to deliver the package. I help the driver by being there when the truck pulls up... and I just sign at the door. His truck is secure and so is he. On this day I had important package coming and it was coming by FedEx. The driver was excellent. He had took the time to call me on my cellphone. I am thinking that all drivers have their own routine... But this young man took the time to call. His name is Curtis and he was very surprised when I told him that this was the first time I got a call. Just wanted to give him thanks for going the extra mile. And thank you FedEx... I can relax when FedEx is bringing my package.

I ordered a package for my brother's birthday two weeks ago from out of the country. There was a delay but it was shipped on the Tuesday before his birthday (on Saturday). I had my choice of shipping services and stupidly decided to try FedEx. Well, I paid extra for the package and had them send it via express so I could have it as soon as possible. I received a scheduled delivery time of Friday, 11/4. I was at work late on Friday but had someone home to answer the door when my package was supposed to arrive. It never did. I wake up Saturday morning, only to see that my package has been rescheduled for Monday, two days after I need it. I called FedEx customer service, had difficulty understanding the accent of the agent on the line, and was told that because it was in transit, I couldn't do anything about it and I had to wait until Monday.

No apologies or consideration from the agent. Either they won't or don't deliver it on Saturday, unlike their competition. Perfect. What a waste of money. I could've gone with DHL or UPS, two companies I've had fairly good experiences with, instead of getting screwed by incompetence. My brother is only in town today, and then he has to leave to prepare for a business trip. I won't see him for a month, at least, and this coat is not going to be of any use of him after he gets back. I am never using FedEx again, and will be going out of my way to recommend to all of my friends and coworkers to avoid them, if they want to get their packages on time.

We are a business out of KC that has been very blessed over the past few years and we ship out furniture and decorative items across the US. We left UPS several years back, due to very poor customer service and because they were breaking Ground shipping items at an alarming rate, but yet wouldn't reimburse us or our customers for the packages and contents broken. So... We decided to go with FedEx. We loved their services at first, and were promised all types of gadgets and devices to help our business become more successful with shipping (label makers, scanners, etc). Not only did we never receive anything and still haven't, but in 5 years have never been given an account rep/business rep/ or manager to help us with questions or anything (most other couriers assign you a rep to help you become more successful and get better rates).

At first they sent us a packing rep, who helped us order packing supplies for our items, so we did and pack to their standards... but it is funny, if anything gets broken, they won't reimburse us... unless it is a very cheap $100 item. We find their customer service also very poor and they won't return calls, emails, or anything. This is very frustrating, because we probably spend between $10-20,000 in Ground shipping items each year.

Sadly, we are leaving Fedex and strongly recommend any small business, large business, or just a customer looking to ship an item, to find a local or independent courier that respects and appreciates their customers more than FedEx or UPS. Both companies talk big and pay for good advertising, but if you read their online ratings... they are both truly awful. They love taking your money, but will not support you when things go wrong. Our business has a 5 star rating and we appreciate every customer that orders from us... Can't say the same for large shipping companies like Fedex. It is a shame. :(

I ordered an accent chair on Wayfair.com. To make delivery requests, Wayfair told me to call FedEx. So I did call. I expressed to them that I will not be able to receive a package on Oct 31st. I requested to have my package shipped Nov 1st at 1pm. I called 4 days in a row to confirm that I will be getting my package on the day that I requested. Each sales rep I spoke to assured me. I spoke to numerous sales reps who said they put a note on my shipment to have it delayed to Nov. 1st at 1pm. Needless to say, I get a phone call on Oct 31st from the delivery driver that he is waiting for someone to let him inside so he can bring the package up. Mind you, the address I am having the packaged shipped to is my new address and I will be moving in on Nov 1st.

I scheduled several deliveries for that day including the one I am suppose to receive from FedEx. I had to call FedEx again for the fifth day in a row and tell them that they MADE A BIG MISTAKE. I spoke to 3 different sales representatives because each one wanted to keep me on hold for 30 minutes. The last sales rep I spoke told me that Wayfair misinformed me that I could make a time request on my package when in fact FedEx were the ones who told me that I could. FedEx does not want to own up to their mistakes. They put blame on everyone else. Now, on the day that I am moving and expecting multiple deliveries to my new apartment, I have to travel to pick up a package at a local FedEx on Nov 1st. MY PACKAGE BETTER BE THERE FEDEX!

I don't understand why after you were the ones who misinformed me, could not simply bring my package on the time that I requested. I understand that is not the norm for ground shipping, but you told me you would the first 4 times I called to confirm, yet on the 5th time you want to change your minds. I am very disappointed in the lack of great customer service skills and the finger pointing that goes on in your company. The best thing to do was to send my package the time I requested as an apology for your mistake. Now you are inconveniencing me on a very big day for me. Wayfair, please choose a different delivery carrier. FedEx is super unprofessional and they are so disgusting to you when you have a problem that is caused by them. They treat you as if your life is nothing and you don't have other important things to do.

I have never written a negative review in my life, but I am strongly compelled to do so now. I wish I could even say this was terrible service, but I can't even say that, as I haven't actually received any service at all! This is the third time that FedEx has claimed a delivery attempt, but has not actually done so. On three separate orders, I have received a message from FedEx via the seller that a delivery attempt was made, but never once, on a total of 7 supposed attempts, has a delivery attempt tag been left on my door. On two of those occasions, I was actually home, and no one knocked or rang the doorbell.

Furthermore, when speaking with customer service, they insisted that the package wasn't delivered because I wasn't home. In fact, I WAS HOME on multiple occasions. However, the package did not require a signature, so it should have been left in any case. When I mention that, they say didn't have an explanation. Furthermore, I have a porch, and the package wasn't left there. Finally, I went to the distribution center on Poth and spoke to a manager, who assured me that he would leave notes on my address and that this would never happen again. Well, it has.

I have spent a total of 10 hours of my own time trying to sort this out, hours talking to customer services reps, and sending pictures of my home entrance to verify that it is clearly marked and accessible. Still, no one seems to be able to help me solve the problem, which shouldn't be that difficult. All other delivery services, USPS, UPS etc.have no problem delivering. It is just FedEx that cannot competently leave me a package. Unfortunately, I can no longer use FedEx for personal or business reasons, nor can I patronize businesses that use FedEx, as I will never receive my orders. I will have to inform these businesses why. Not only is FedEx hurting themselves, but also other businesses. In the end, I am mystified by this, and in fact suspect that they aren't even trying to deliver my package. Frankly, they can't seem to be trusted. Better take your business elsewhere.

When I spoke to Cameron, the OfficeMax manager, he told me that I MIGHT get the check in six to eight weeks. He also told me that the damage to the package was not their fault. So I get stiffed for a 250.00 Chromebook and OfficeMax gets an extra 100.00 out of the deal for damaging my Chromebook. How is it that FedEx underinsures merchandise then requires the customer to go through a third party (OfficeMax) to file a claim, and then issue a claim check to the third party and not the customer and then say they are done with the issue leaving the customer to deal with the third party to get the claim check.

I am writing about my recent experience with a FedEx delivery of medical equipment for my husband who has just undergone a total knee replacement and is in considerable pain. The package (tracking number **) was sent out to me on Tuesday, October 11, for two to three day delivery. Thus, the package was expected by Friday, October 14 at the latest.

When the package did not come on Friday, we phoned FedEX consumer affairs department on Saturday to make sure the package would be delivered on Saturday. We were assured that it would be delivered. However nice the representative was to us, the package was not delivered because it was marked as a business delivery. We subsequently learned, however, that FedEX reported that on Friday "future delivery" had been requested. Presumably this was the supposed reason why the package was not delivered to me on Friday. We never requested a delay in the delivery date -- so this was untruthful. Then on Saturday, FedEX shipping records indicated that "we were not available" for delivery. This was also untruthful as we were available for delivery. We were informed today that as the package shipping was changed to 'home delivery' we would not receive the package on Monday, as we had been promised.

It appears that the false information and poor service we received was in part due to a lack of good information provided to FedEx customer service representatives and, likely, total inefficiency at the Broomfield, Colorado shipping office. Now after several telephone calls to customer representatives, we can only hope that the equipment we purchased will come in time to be some small use for my husband's recovery.

The sender mailed a package to me containing a full bottle of my prescription. He said that he had a difficult time with the woman who took his information, but after having to correct her several times in spelling, etc., he was able to confirm the shipping address to be correct. However, between him leaving the store and the package being delivered, the address was completely messed up and not even close to the original correct one. It's been a month now and after speaking to numerous representatives and "managers", we've been told that we have to pay all over again and open up a special FedEx account.

Is there not any other option than to give this company more money and open another account? We were told several different things, but I think it was just to get us off the phone. I was told it was delivered back to the sender, which is a lie. Then I was told it was delivered to me. That was a lie, too. Then, we finally get the information that they will not send it to anyone, they will keep it until we pay and make a special account. I'm wondering if I should file a police report, since I'm not sure how FedEx can claim ownership of someone's medication and property or hold it hostage until I give them more money and open an account with them.

After receiving a door tag stating an "attempted" delivery was made, when the driver must have not even rung my bell, I immediately scheduled for a next day delivery. The next day I waited by the door buzzer continually checking to see if the driver was arriving with my view button. HE NEVER CAME! INSTEAD HE DROVE AROUND WITH MY PACKAGE ON HIS TRUCK ALL DAY AND THEN BROUGHT IT BACK TO THE DEPOT. I tracked my package throughout the day and the page stated that it was on the vehicle for delivery. Then at 6:30 I checked the tracking page again and it stated my package was brought back at 5:40 pm!!!

Completely frustrated I spoke with a supervisor named, Kam **, who reassured me saying the package would be delivered the next morning. It is now 1:40 and still no sign of a package. They are liars and do not care about customer service or delivering your goods in a timely, professional manner. I made a purchase from a merchant and my package was to arrive to me on 9/28/16. I pulled up the tracking information and the driver had notated my package had been delivered 9/28/16. I looked over my entire property, etc. and no package. Contacted FedEx regarding this issue and they stated the driver would have to re-track his steps to find my package and get it to me. I contacted them again the following week and no information was available, and they don't know where my package is.

As I was going to class I noticed my neighbor had a package on his porch and I was very sure it was mine. Contacted FedEx to make them aware of this so they could have a driver come back out and verify this, and deliver the package to me. They kept telling me the driver was coming and he never did. I was so stressed by this. My final call ended with their representative contacting the merchant to ask him to refund my money and start his process of being refunded by FedEx because they never delivered my package to me.

I am not sure why companies continue to use FedEx when they are not responsible nor do they have reliable drivers who care about the customers. This company has terrible reviews from every spectrum of its existence and services. Merchants please do not use this company and use a more reliable and professional delivery service.

I moved to an apartment from a house. Lo and behold FedEx won't deliver to your door. Their response, "We are too busy to deliver to each apartment. We leave them at the leasing office for them to deliver." What? Leasing office doesn't deliver. I pay 2,000/month for rent and I'm now treated as a low life and have to pick up my packages. UPS has an opt out and they deliver to the door. I can't understand, the carrier goes to my door and leaves a note. Why in the hell can't he deliver the package as he is at the door. This is discrimination. I have notified all my vendors of Fedex's position and am posting on every site I can think of. I have advised the leasing office to refuse every shipment addressed to me from FedEx. This is poor service. But there are other choices. Shame on you FedEx.

The FedEx driver didn't want to deliver my package because it weighed 50 pounds. I live on the third floor of an apartment building. The first "delivery attempt", he buzzed my apartment, then went straight back to the truck before I could answer. He left the package on the truck and said I wasn't home. After a bunch of phone calls, I finally reached someone who spoke English. He said my package would be delivered to my apartment door on the third floor the next day. I waited by the window, watching for him the next day so I could buzz him in immediately. I buzzed him in and he left the package right inside the main door and left.

After a bunch more phone calls, I was told he didn't want to bring it up the stairs and he "didn't have to". How do you expect a disabled woman to drag a 50 pound box up to the third floor? He had a dolly. He could have done it easily. So, after a bunch more phone calls I was able to reach someone I could halfway understand. He told me the driver would be back to bring the box up the stairs. He never came back. So my package is STILL sitting right inside the door at the bottom of the stairs.

If FedEx driver are supposed to be ninja, they are on a league of their own; but for delivery driver, they are the worst. Every single time I am home expecting a heavy package (a package worth my time waiting on) FedEx drivers would either ninja to my side door and leave a blank note saying nobody was home or just take it to the next level and leave the door tag in my mailbox. So either FedEx drivers think they have ESP-like power and determine if anyone was on from their truck or they are just too lazy to actually make the delivery.

I've been waiting in the living room (where the front door is) since 8 in the morning. I see that people here are also frustrated at FedEx. I suspect the problem lies on the fact that we are not FedEx's direct customers, FedEx's customer are the ones paying for their services, the online merchants. We the consumers just have to pressure the merchants to stop using FedEx (ask them to use other mean of shipping, or choose vendors offering options beside FedEx). Businesses typically don't response unless it affect their revenue.

Very important package so I asked two neighbors to text me if they see a FedEx truck so I could meet the driver at the driveway. No FedEx truck ever came through my neighborhood yet the driver listed me as attempt to deliver. With no new door tag it is pretty obvious that no attempt was made however the London hub does not require a door tag with each attempt so how do you hold your drivers accountable? FedEx is only as good as their drivers and not holding them accountable encourages them to lie. In London Ky FedEx drivers can sit alongside the road and sleep and then list customers as attempt to deliver and management will say nothing. From this point I will not deal with any business that uses FedEx to deliver. Management needs to be more involved with customer service.

The type of customer support I have received from FedEx in Houston, TX have ranged from very pleasant all the way to unbelievably unsatisfactory. To start with the positives: the 5 packages I have sent this past year have all made it to the recipients. Glad to be able to say that, but really, that's about all the positives there are. Oh, and there's that one time the person at the counter was actually smiling and very courteous, which was quite pleasant and a nice surprise. Continuing with the cons: I had issues with 3 of these 5 packages in some step of the shipment process. Let me elaborate...

At the beginning of this year, I tried to use a coupon I found off the FedEx website, a clearly advertised coupon right on the FedEx front page. It has the checkout code and everything right on the coupon, begging to be used by everyone. No problems to expect there right? Well, when I showed the coupon to the person checking me out, I was told that I needed a paper copy of it. Alright, never heard of that before, but I'll work with it. They can't just enter the code? (No). Okay, can they just print out a copy of the coupon from their own website then? (No.) Okay, they wanted me to screenshot a copy of the coupon on my phone and then email that screenshot image to them. Then they proceeded to print out that copy from their email and enter the checkout code. A what would have been 5 minutes of service ended up being 20 minutes. Okay, whatever...

Next mishap I encountered: I sent a package to a friend who lives in a clearly marked house on a street in a neighborhood. The shipment tracking information showed that the driver "could not locate the address" the first two or three times he "attempted delivery." A couple days later, I receive a call from FedEx asking for my friend's phone number. Eventually, the package got delivered. I'll just give them the driver the benefit of the doubt and say it's an honest try. But seriously! The address was easily locatable on google maps. If it was that difficult to deliver to such an easy destination, I wonder how FedEx ever gets their packages delivered! I better stop using FedEx while I still haven't lost any packages with them.

This last encounter is the needle that broke the camel's back: I sent a package to a friend in mid-June, and it is now October. I paid close to $30 at the counter for the shipping. A couple days ago (3+ months after the shipment), I received a bill from FedEx with a sheet of paper insert stating that they were "unable to bill the account for the party indicated, therefore we are invoicing you for the charges associated with this shipment." Yes, THREE months after the shipment, I received an invoice for a package I already paid for on the spot, with the "payment" due in 1.5 weeks.

I called the number for "Revenue Services" and went through layers and layers of options before I finally got an operator. Luckily, this operator was quite helpful in somehow realizing that I had already paid for this shipment and removed the charge. (I'll find out how true this is in a couple days). Well, it would be good for me to know what caused this error to occur, so I don't have to deal with this again. So, I proceed to ask, "Could you tell me why this happened?" Immediately after I finish asking this question, the person helping me just hangs up! He asked me for my question, and then just hung up on me after I asked it! I was in total disbelief that customer service could be so rude.

FedEx just lost another customer and whoever else I talk to about my encounters. There is no way I would recommend their services to anyone. My experiences with UPS and even USPS have been better than this! FedEx is far too expensive to have services worse than the more affordable mail carriers. To be honest, I'm not sure how FedEx is even in operation if customers cannot even trust them with the simplest of tasks.

They have been completely unhelpful and now told me that the only way to avoid the collection agency is to transfer the TVA to the recipient. So this now appears as a whole lot of logistics work for me when a return/repair item, originally manufactured in France should not be charged TVA duties at all as it is sent back for repair. It would be nice if someone from FedEx actually gave some assistance rather than threatening with the Debt Collection Agency as the first step.

Reason for review: failure to deliver in a timely fashion despite being paid for a service. I ordered 4 packages which were to be delivered via FedEx overnight. I paid over $200 for shipping for a total of ~$5,000 in merchandise. The following day, 3 out of 4 packages arrived. No phone call/e-mail (which I requested) once the merchandise arrived. I asked that it be delivered to the management office of my complex with a required signature... nope! They drop it off at my front door when I'm not home, no signature. $4,500 of supplies, left on my doorstep. Luckily, my management office was amazing enough to go get it and bring it to the office until I got home. That was fail #1.

As for the missing package (fail #2) - I follow up the evening of anticipated delivery and FedEx tells me it will still be there by 8pm as they are "delayed". Long story short, it never made it. At that point, they promise next day delivery (Saturday) because it had arrived at Massachusetts and they'd be driving it to Rhode Island tomorrow morning. They said they'd call me when the truck was en route. Never called. I follow up with them by 10am the next day- they said the truck left 8:28 am and they'd call me as soon as it arrives at the shipment building. I call at noon, then again at 2pm - no one knows where the truck went. It's then 4pm and no follow up (the FedEx in RI closes at 5pm). I call back, and I find out the truck never left Mass. They are going to deliver it Monday now.

No apology, no excuse as to why they can't communicate properly, no follow up throughout this entire process until I initiate the phone calls. This company needs to be seriously revamped because it has no accountability for its actions. They know they can always say "contact your shipper" if something goes wrong. In my profession if you don't do your job efficiently, people die. In the FedEx world, they can completely fail at life and still keep their jobs with no reprimand. The irony truly makes me shake my head in disgust.

I ordered my new phone and FedEx tried to deliver the package to me while I was at work. When I got home I got the door tag that said they could not deliver it. I tried to reroute online, but the system would not allow me to do so. So I called FedEx. They told me the package was scheduled to be delivered the next day at 11 AM. I told them that I would not be there because I worked during the day and that they should not come at that time. The customer service representative called the station and got back to me to say that the package would be delivered the next day at 5 pm. I received a call later that day and FedEx left a voice message that there were no drivers left to redeliver, which was not what the note was supposed to be. So the next day, despite their assurances during my call that the package would be delivered after 5 PM, the tried to deliver the package again at 11 AM, for which I was not there because I was at work, just as I said I was.

So I called FedEx back and explained the situation that the package was supposed to be delivered after 5 PM. Once again they called the station, and got back to me saying that the station understood the situation and would in fact deliver the package after 5 PM. After I left work early and made it home by 4 PM and waited for 2.5 hours for FedEx, I checked the tracking to discover that they tried to redeliver at 1:33 PM, which again is not after 5 PM. Once again I called customer service and they informed me that they could not help me and that all they could do was deliver on Monday at 11 AM while I was at work. I ask to speak to a Manager and they passed me off to a customer advocate who told me that FedEx could not deliver after 5 PM and that I was "misinformed".

Despite my repeated recounts of the events to the FedEx customer advocate she refused to provide any service. Her only statement was FedEx does not have drivers this late and that they could not do anything for me but deliver at 11 AM on Monday, when I was at work, or put it on hold at a facility that was an hour drive from me and I am sick and told them so. They would prefer customers who are sick drive a hour to pick up a package and expose their personnel than to attempt any type of satisfactory resolution. FedEx completely failed to adhere to their commitments to me on the phone, failed to attempt any resolution for me as a customer and was dismissive and unhelpful. My company spends a huge amount of money with FedEx every year and I am exceedingly disappointed in FedEx's integrity in such that they lack integrity.
