Package due Saturday; Friday I get an e-mail saying it will be delivered on Monday, nothing arrives on the Monday, call FedEx first thing Tuesday morning only to be told my package is now lost!! Should have read the reviews first, saved myself 40.00 & just used regular mail. A frustrating waste of time & money!!

FedEx. Generally considered synonymous with good work ethic, good customer service, and the best at what they do. Right? That's what you MIGHT have thought before you arrived here. I recently sent a maximum 10 page letter to Windsor Ontario from Traverse City Michigan. Had I known then what I knew now I would have just drove the letter myself. Yes the letter got there. Good work FedEx. You did your job. You do realize this is only PART of the equation correct? I paid for the letter in full at the time of sending. No mention of an additional payment was made at the time of sending. Had it, I would paid on the spot. Only several months after I changed addresses did I get an additional bill for $43.40. FORTY FIVE pathetic dollars. No call from FedEx. No call from anyone. Just another bill.
I immediately contacted FedEx to find out what EXACTLY the problem was. I was told it was a clerical error on their part and the matter was settled. THANK GOD I kept a confirmation number. Fast forward several months down the road. Not ONE SINGLE BILL FROM FedEX. Then I find out that more bills were sent to my incorrect address AFTER the date the matter was settled. Not only is this company intentionally lying to customers, it appears they are taking part in a credit destruction plot. Or, perhaps they are just THAT bad of a company. Never get a hold of you by phone or current mailing address. Instead, they ruin an 800 credit rating with a pathetic $50 bill. I bill my clientele more per hour than this stupid bill and should be entitled to bill FedEx for my time that they have wasted.
As a small business owner and consumer in this country, I will N E V E R again use Fed Ex. Please, for the love of God, take your business elsewhere. One online search and you will see what you didn't realize. A pathetic mega company that cares nothing for its customers except to give them false information twice then destroy their years of work establishing credit. I am inclined to file a class action law suit for everyone. It may cost me a lot of money, but I believe It would be worth it. Hey FedEx... ** you. DHL, USPS, UPS. One less player in game. I suspect they are failing significantly. You can't run a business this way and continue solvency for the long run. Kiss my stock investments goodbye.

So, if I can I will avoid using FedEx from now on. First, there's a package left at my door "accidentally", and even after I call for them to get it, a week goes by and still no one comes. A manager then called and said this info "got lost". At that point, I delivered the darn thing myself because that’s what I would have wanted if that were my package. Next, I order a large safe which was delivered to the wrong house. FedEx claimed they were doing an investigation, and still knew nothing.
An honest neighbor of mine lugged it to my house 3 days later. Now I find a heavy box containing my mattress laying on my lawn next to my car a far distance from my porch, where packages are normally delivered. This box clearly states team lift and can't be moved without a dolly. It's too heavy for me or my husband to drag way up to my door, and the box looks beat up and scribbled on! I assume the damage is from the driver kicking it out their back door and taking off. I have never had my items handled in such a negligent, destructive way. I called FedEx, and until or if they come back, this box is stuck on my lawn!!

If there was a negative amount of stars to give, I would give them! I was scheduled to get my package on Friday, since I was not home they did not leave it (understandable), I had requested my package be held at a certain location, called and was told it would be ready Saturday. Saturday comes around, my package is not at the location, come home and there is a note on the mailbox stating they tried to deliver the package again!! I called and was told they do not have the request that I put in (of course, typical). Luckily I took a screenshot of the request I put in. Then they told me they could put in the request and my package will be there on Monday, I told them ok fine. Then they said or I could have them hold the package at our main facility and you could pick it up there if you want your package today, I said I would rather do that and asked them to do that. In the middle of transferring me the line got "disconnected."
I called back and they told me that since I had gave the other person the ok to request my package to be held at the original location I had requested they could not hold my package at the main facility. I told them "well he did not give me the two options at once, he gave me the second one after I told him it was ok for the first option", and I asked them why would the person not give me both options at the same time knowing he could not undo the first one once it was done.
They basically told me there was nothing they can do and could not help me. Monday (the day my package is suppose to be there) I call the location and they inform me that my package is not there and will not be in until Tuesday! I keep getting "it will be in tomorrow" over and over, I have been hearing that since Friday, it is now Monday and I still have no package!! And I am still hearing the same thing! I will never be using FedEx again. My purchase is from Apple, and I will be informing them of how awful this experience was with FedEx and hopefully they will take it into consideration.

I have experienced the worst customer service anyone could be involved in. For the third time that I have order a replacement phone the first shipment never gets delivered. The driver always labels it as left at the front step. This last time which was July 27 they said the same exact saying "left at the front step." Called them multiple time for the next 3 days and no one would call me back to let me know any status. Spoke with Anthony today which wasn't much of help. So now FedEx has told my phone insurance company something about my address and now they won't ship me a new phone because of whatever FedEx said to them. But tell me how am I at fault if they never attempted to deliver the package. This is not acceptable. A customer shouldn't have to go to all this loop in order for major company to do their job properly.

I was on vacation with my three young kids in Florida. I was rob. I requested to pick up my passport on August 26 2017 at my address in New York. As I explain my situation to the rep she schedule a pick at my residences in N.Y. Arrange for driver to bring package and slip as well. Unfortunately she came without package. My daughter stated I call CS. They assured me will returned with which she did. My daughter obtained it from her she ask her to filled she will returned for that package. So I Called CS to confirmed CR reconfirmed and stated they have till 11:00 o'clock to obtain that package. Ok I had my eldest daughter wait up with the open till 11:00 no FedEx unfortunately. I proceed to CS.
I spoke to another CR. He assured me there will someone there to pick the package up. That last pickup time is at 12:00 am. I said "ok." I also stated my eldest is only seventeen years old and if it's ok to leave package on glass door with light on. So the FedEx lady to obtain and please add it to note. He stated he did. Went to bed, call the morning about the package as so I may returned to New York cause my flight is at 3pm that even to get and awakening the package was not even pick up. I was so bloody upset the mad excuses. They apologize, spoke Cs rep then I ask for supervisors which they will not extend to then I was transfer to a van in Jamaica, New York which he assured me he will go to my address. Retrieve the package. Ok so I lost my flight for me to travel as well as being stranded and had repurchase tickets again.
Well guess what they never pick the package till July 28 2017 Juan St. Luca assured it next day delivery as well as Van in Jamaica New York @ 8:30 Saturday 29 2017. Tracking number ** number I will receive this package until Monday 31 2017. Are you serious? Incompetency of FedEx. The is unprofessionalism I will never recommend this company. Incompetent. Lack Of knowledge of Cs team. Failure for empathize. Am appalled. No words characterize my feeling of disappoint.

FedEx claimed they delivered my package but never came to my residence. They state it was left at my door but when I call to complain they tell me to look in the bushes and ask my neighbor. They are liars and their customer service is a joke. They will not even question the drivers. So basically if they are delivering something of yours and the driver wants it then you're out of luck.

If zero stars was an option, this would be it. Story 1: I got a custom jersey for my girlfriend and was to delivered before her birthday. I live in Chicago and it was shipping from Missouri. It got to my area, not even 10 miles away in record time. But out of nowhere they sent the package north... To Madison WI where it sat at a FedEx facility for 3 days, missing the deadline and my gf's birthday. I called them and their answer was simply "That just how it is sir."
Story 2: I ordered a drone for my work at a university. I had accidentally kept my old dorm address but was assured that it would have been sent somewhere I could grab it (this was this summer). Well, the delivery driver was not told where to go and went to the closed dorm, found it closed, and said "Well I'll put it back and not even attempt to figure it out." Then I had to make several phone calls and I can only pray I can pick it up in one piece at a local pickup point, 3 days after I was suppose to have it. I need it for work, and their laziness is setting us back. I have already told everyone NEVER USE FEDEX and I pray the package is intact. That thing was $700.

It was a very frustrating experience since the value of my phone they lost is $900.

I ordered a critical piece of equipment for my small business. This equipment was required to fulfill an order with my client. It was guaranteed by the 18th of July. The package showed delivered, but it was not delivered to my address. After multiple phone calls I was told that the package was delivered to the wrong address and that the place of the mistaken delivery called them and made them aware of the mistake. They then assured me that they would pick it up from the misdelivered address and redeliver to me the next day. This did not happen.
Instead, I was on the phone with both customer service and the local home delivery hub at least once a day. I was always told the same thing. That it would be delivered the next day. Finally, on the 27th it showed it was delivered. But instead of delivering it here to me, they delivered it back to the shipper with the message that it was refused. This is not the case, as it was never even attempted at my address. I have since tried to speak to the manager who informed me that it was my problem since I refused it, and that he had no knowledge that there was ever a problem in the first place.
When calling the customer advocacy line I was rudely told to contact the shipper and she hung up on me. At this point I am losing this new company due to this mistake. I had told them that I know that they are not going to actually fix the issue, but that if I had to lose my company over the driver's mistake I think that it is only fair that the driver get disciplinary action up to and including the loss of her job since I am losing my company over this. Instead all I am told is that it is my fault and hung up on. I am told by FedEx that the only responsibility and guarantees are to the shipper not the recipient. I do not think that it is out of line to expect that the driver be disciplined for her actions and laziness.

Had the law office give me a time and then FedEx called and left a message stating that someone over the age of 21 need to be there at 4.30 to sign and that photo id would be required. Well FedEx decided to come to my door at 11 this morning. A far cry from 4.30. Calling them was told I would have to wait till Monday. No time given or go to Danbury and pick it up - I phoned the law office who took the policy that they couldn’t do anything about FedEx to which I reminded them that FedEx is in business for the consumer not the other way around - so I don’t have to wait all day Monday. Have to drive to Danbury Sat to get the items - so much for that lovely company. I might add are business suppose to wait around all day for delivery which is don’t at the whim of FedEx - I think not.

I have my dog food (prescription dog food) delivered every month to my place of work and have never had a problem. The company I get the food from unfortunately uses FedEx and it usually takes 2-3 working days to arrive. It was ordered and shipped on 19 July and by Monday, I still hadn't received the package. I called FedEx as I tracked it and got a response that nobody was available to receive the package.
Firstly, the shipping address is to a church, so naturally no one is there on a Saturday when it was supposedly delivered. I called Tuesday to be told it had been delivered. I checked on the website and or was delivered in a different town, not even a suburb in my town, a totally different zip code. I explained I didn't receive the package and that where it is delivered was not my town. I even drove to that town to see if there was an address similar to mine but to no avail.
FedEx had said they will contact the driver and call me back. Eventually I got a call and was told they are trying to get hold of the driver but will call me back later and that he will go collect it from where he dropped it and deliver it to me. Well, a day later still no call so I called again and was told the driver will go collect it, same story. My situation is a dog with severe allergies and the vets around here don't carry the food, but it can be ordered. So I have been rationing my dog's food and by yesterday she was out of food and I resorted to feeding her tuna because she can't have meat or chicken products, her good is hydrolyzed. Now it's more money again for antihistamines, cortisone and ear drops to dirty out the allergies.
I have to feed her so I am stuck. Never mind the fact that the order totals $103. So FedEx is costing me not Judy money but unnecessary inconvenience. They are totally useless and incapable. I can't see how this type of thing can happen when the items get scanned on delivery. Let's how I will get my dogs food some day soon.

Let me tell you a story about my very frustrating experience with FedEx. I ordered a package on Friday afternoon, a very important necessary package, and I paid for overnight shipping for FedEx so that it would be here by Saturday, or Monday at the latest. I needed it on Monday night. I went to bed rest assured that I would get my items by the deadline.
The next day, there was no tracking number emailed to me, no confirmation that it was in transit, nothing. I was mystified, but went along with it. My order may have come in too late to ship out Friday night. Okay. Fast forward to Monday afternoon. I finally received my tracking number and the assurance that it would be delivered Tuesday. TUESDAY. I PAID FOR overnight shipping on FRIDAY. I had ordered a different package from Amazon with Prime on Saturday, TWO DAY SHIPPING, and it was going to get there on Tuesday as well. Overnight shipping ordered Friday -- delivered on Tuesday. Two day shipping ordered Saturday -- delivered on Tuesday.
I should've known things could only get worse. I don't use FedEx much, so I am unfamiliar with their policies. They come by Tuesday, like promised. I come home from working two different jobs, exhausted and just want my package. Instead of my item I needed the DAY BEFORE, is a tag on the door, saying a signature is required from someone in the household and you can go pick up your package when it returns to the FedEx facility. They knocked on my door at 1 in the afternoon. I’m a working adult; I have two different jobs to keep me afloat. I can't take an entire day off to wait for a package.
So I investigated. Turns out, at the bottom of the FedEx page, in a very obscure place, almost as if they were trying to hide it, were the words "signature is required". Well, FedEx you could've made that more obvious, and put it up next to the tracking number and estimated time of delivery. No. This VITAL INFORMATION is HIDDEN at the BOTTOM OF THE PAGE.
I notice a button up at top that says "customize your delivery." Okay, I can just have them deliver it tomorrow at a time that's more convenient, or sign digitally. There's options I can work with this. Surprise, surprise, none of their customizable options are available for my delivery. I either have to go pick up my package from the facility *after it returns from being on the truck* or stay home all day and wait for a flipping package that was supposed to be here on Monday (We're on Tuesday right now).
I look up where the facility is -- IT'S AN HOUR AWAY FROM ME. Near where my first job is. Okay, I can't go tonight, but let's see if I can call them and see if the facility will hold it for me so I can pick it up on my way to my other job. I call the 800 number and I get transferred to a supervisor because my crappy connection (did I mention that the package they're holding hostage is my new cellphone because my old one is broken? Yeah). I ask if it's possible for the facility to hold the package. He tells me no. Their policy is that they have to attempt to deliver three times, before they will hold the package at the facility during hours that I can actually be there. Which means Friday, A WEEK LATER FROM WHEN I PURCHASED IT, is the day I can pick it up at a time more convenient for me.
I then ask if there's any possible way I can customize it. Perhaps the unavailable customizing options can be changed on their end. My hopes die a terrible death -- no customizing for this delivery. I can not sign for it online. I can not pay money for them to deliver it when I'm home. I have two options: be home when they deliver it or go pick it up in a small window of two hours. (The time they drop it off at the facility and the time the facility closes.) According to the slip they've left on my door, they attempted to deliver at around 1. I can maybe manage coming home in the small window between my two jobs around that time. I am now very ticked off at FedEx.
It is now Wednesday. I came home during that window to another stick on my door, saying they came around 11:30 and would try again tomorrow. I am beyond pissed off right now. It seems by best course of actions are to either: repeat the same actions I have done today, coming home between my two jobs, actually drive to the facility in SLC when they have my package, adding another 100 miles, wait until Friday to pick up my phone when I am in SLC for my job and the FedEx facility has it. This all could've been avoided if I had known they needed my signature and if they'd let me have the option of signing for it before hand. FedEx -- change your policies. They're doing more harm than good.

Please, for everyone living outside of the US, STAY AWAY from FedEx. Worst experience I had so far. I paid 40 Dollar for a quick shipment of a small package. Thanks to tracking I got notified that after about 3-4 days the package entered the country and I was positively surprised. After all, the high shipping costs seemed to have been worth it. But after about 2 weeks my package was still at the local FedEx office, not at customs, but the FedEx warehouse. Since I got no notification and the FedEx tracking system informed me every day or so that a new delivery date was being programmed just to not be delivered at the end of the day I decided to write FedEx.
After about two days I got a dubious response from FedEx telling me that I'm supposed to pay to their bank account 90 Dollars more for customs and storage in their warehouse. No invoice, no nothing. The only reason I signed up to this website is to let other people learn from my experience. Please, never ever use FedEx again if you can avoid it, free shipping from dubious Hong Kong online shops is more reliable (and cheaper) than FedEx.

FedEx Germany collected a 0.4kg package of urgent spare parts for medical equipment at 4pm Wednesday 19th July - Destination Lagos Nigeria (There are daily direct flights to Lagos from Germany). Nothing trackable happened for 3 days until Monday 24th, when it was shipped to Moscow, Russia where it has remained until now, 4pm Wednesday 26th.
Ignore the catastrophe that is a critical medical analyzer out of service for over a week. Focus on the fact that FedEx Lagos cover themselves with false excuses, whilst FedEx Germany don't respond at all to my complaints. Utter and complete inefficiency and incompetence. I ordered a package off of Amazon which, to my dismay, was shipped via FedEx. Now, FedEx and I started our rocky relationship early. They constantly claimed they couldn't find my house, I had to hold their hand and teach them how to get there numerous times. At one point, I had to give them GPS coordinates so they could add me to their system. But not even that prompted me to write this review. This package I recently ordered was due for delivery on 7/25, after it traveled a grand total of 7 miles in 4 hours on 7/24. Without any contact from FedEx; no email, no phone call, nothing, they marked my package as undeliverable and marked it to be sent back to the shipper.
Fuming, I called FedEx to help them with directions, only to be told that the driver wasn't coming back out today. "Okay, I'll just come pick it up then" I said. To which the reply was that they cant hold it without the senders permission. Understandable, I'll just call the sender and have them hold it, so I asked for the location of the FedEx office it was being held at. To which she gives me an address that doesn't exist, and the closest match is about 45 minutes further away. So I ask her for clarification and her response is that "once you get it held by the shipper just call us and we'll tell you where to go."
So long story short: Your delivery driver is incapable of finding my location, doesn't bother to ask for directions (which have been given numerous times) and then tries to send my package back to the shipper. Then to top it all off, you don't even know the address of your own offices, nor are your reps willing to actually determine what the proper location is. Now I will have to do YOUR job for you, drive out to YOUR location to pick up the package that YOUR DELIVERY company was incapable of delivering. Absolutely useless company, cannot wait for the day they shut down.

In May my husband and I used FedEx to send our passports to a visa agency in Virginia. After we didn't receive our passports back in a timely manner I called FedEx and was told that they accidentally got knocked into the trash and therefore never made it to the agency. Our passports were only two years old and therefore had eight more years left on them. Because of the carelessness of FedEx we had to apply for new passports.
This was not that big of a problem for me but my husband has an Italian passport and in order to renew it we had to travel to another state and stay overnight in order to get it. I sent an e-mail to the CEO of FedEx and of course heard nothing. Then I sent a letter through snail mail and again nothing. The claims department did not want to do anything because they said that the passport agency that issued the label did not put a dollar amount on the package. I told them that I wanted to be reimbursed for both of the passports and all of the incidentals that involved us going out of state.
Finally after fighting with them on the phone and threatening them with getting a lawyer they agreed to pay for the passports only. About a month ago I sent them a copy of my check that I used to pay for my new passport and I haven't heard a thing. They say that their claims are settled within five days. Time & again when a vendor ships via FedEx I just want to cringe because their delivery service to our home is terrible. Years ago when the drivers weren't making any attempts to deliver I was able to talk to the terminal manager and he got it straightened out and delivery service was pretty good after that. Recently, the drivers are again not making much of an attempt to deliver packages to our home and I believe it is because the package they are supposed to deliver is the only one on the route on the way to our house, which is 25 miles from the nearest town. They will use all kinds of excuses why they didn't deliver the package.
Once it was the package was "damaged" - one little dent in a corner of a foam filled box... no damage at all to the contents and so little to the box --- just a lazy driver. Another time the box "slipped" under the shelf in the truck and he couldn't see it. Still another time, the driver claimed he couldn't find our address... funny, UPS doesn't have a problem. Then there was the time that the driver called me at home and said he was turning around because he was having trouble with his truck. Today, the tracking said that the 32 inch by 50 inch by 2 inch box was "On FedEx vehicle for delivery" at 4:59 a.m. but it took till after 5:00 p.m. for the tracking to say it was being rescheduled to next business day (Monday). I called the terminal and was told they had to look on the dock.
An hour and a half later I got a call from customer service telling me that the driver didn't have enough room on the truck so he left the package, but the tracking information was not updated for over 12 hours. And I am to assume there will be room on the truck on Monday? It probably was not our regular driver since he always seems to get caught delivering the packages the other drivers don't want to deliver and also hearing about our frustration. The package that was supposed to be delivered today was maybe 2 inches thick and would have slipped easily standing up between other boxes on the truck like a sheet of plywood. Again, I figure he just didn't want to drive the 25 miles out to our house.
Anyway, now the representative has "elevated" the situation so that the package will be delivered tomorrow on Saturday. I told her about all of the ongoing problems we have had over the years with the drivers and how it was better for a while, but now it is back to the same old thing of not getting our packages even though they are "On FedEx vehicle for delivery". Very frustrating when you are waiting on a delivery that tracking states is coming so you wait all day and then nothing happens.
The representative told me that the drivers are not their employees but rather are contract employees. Still, the drivers drive distinctive FedEx marked trucks and wear FedEx uniforms so FedEx should have some control over how they represent the company because what they do or do not do reflects on the company and many customers are dissatisfied. If there is someone else who supplies the drivers then they need to be held accountable for how the drivers do the job that the customers pay for.

FedEx damaged shipping my incoming package which was insured for $3,500.00. Box was clearly damaged with deep dents penetrating through multiple cardboards and bubble-wraps, shattering a glass bulb worth $470.00 in replacement cost. I submitted a FedEx Claim with clear pictures, receipts of purchase of the replacement part, etc. Claim was denied. FedEx refuses to reopen the case. I submitted complaints with NYS Attorney's General Office as well as NY Department of State Consumer Protection Division. Over the years I've submitted numerous complaints about FedEx drivers delivering a "missing delivery" notes instead of packages and never ringing my doorbell. The is one of the most corrupt and nearly criminal organizations in the USA. Total shame and disgrace.

I was ALWAYS on hold for a ridiculous amount of time, usually my numerous calls would take an hour, most of the time I was on hold, and nothing really resolved. After approx. 2 weeks of the box be loaded and unloaded on the truck it was finally delivered. Going through the claim process has now continued this nightmare... First of all I have been using FedEx since I started my business in 2006. The service has been top notch. Just recently the flat rate freight box has come out. This was a great idea and it will help me sell and ship the larger items we have to sell. NOW, here is the problem. NO One we talked to at the fedex freight customer service had the slightest idea of what it was. Our so called "account executive" is never in his office, out for two to three weeks at a time, on Vacation, Sick, etc. It took us six weeks to get an account set up, finally. This is after hours and hours of being on hold, talking to other executives from Fedex, and Customer service know-nothings. You have to have a special account number to use the flat rate freight box. It takes 24 hours for it to be set up... if you can get a hold of your rep.
Now try to get the "free" boxes to ship in. That took four weeks. We are now set up BUT WAIT!!! You can't use your flat rate box to ship to yourself! I traveled halfway across the country to purchase inventory. Picked up two flat rate freight boxes at the terminal. Loaded the two flat rate boxes and called to have them picked up. Flew back home. Now I am getting charged regular shipping. You are not allowed to use the Flat rate to ship to yourself. Don't even try to contact Fedex Corporate offices... It is simply an automated phone loop. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!

I was told that my Walmart package (a coffee maker) had been delivered to my work address at 2201 Bergenline Ave. 3rd floor c/o Catholic Charities in Union City, NJ 07087. The package was scheduled for delivery on July 19th. But When I looked at the Walmart website and noticed they said it had been delivered at 12noon, I was upset because there was no delivery for me at noon. No one had left a package at the reception desk for me.
When I called Walmart to inquire, they told me that the package had been left at "the front door." I was outraged. There are four doors on the 3rd floor of my work place and anybody could have picked up the package and carried it away without my knowledge. Furthermore, there was no notice, no tag nothing to indicate that a package had even been delivered. As far as I know, the package was never delivered. I have had problems with deliveries at work before from FedEx/Walmart. And I am surprised that FedEx has lowered its standards so much.

Negative five stars. 1 star is 6 stars too many. No matter what the order is, which company it comes from, where in the world it's coming from, or how it's packaged before they even get their hands it, it sure seems to me like FedEx will destroy it. In the last few years, FedEx has stolen items from inside my packages, destroyed my packages, lost my packages, thrown packages at my front door from several feet away, left them on the shared front porch to be stolen [despite the bright red written plea in the window to not leave packages on the shared front porch], sent a 70+ yr old man to deliver a 100+lb solid wood bunk bed he couldn't get out of the truck without help (gladly given), and they have delivered barely intact boxes with broken contents. My overall shopping has greatly decreased due to being ripped off by FedEx. That sucks in rural, USA, where brick and mortar stores aren't in abundance and prices are higher.
In my most recent experience with their unprofessionalism, I learned an expected package was being shipped by the offensive delivery service and there had been a "delivery exception". My package was destroyed and would not be delivered. I have contacted them via phone and via email on several occasions in the past and they have never failed to be exceedingly and unnecessarily rude to respectful inquiries. Their response is always a no-apologies brush-off, "contact the seller/distributor". Now they just put that in your delivery info so they don't have to actually say it to you themselves, as pictured. From now on I'm letting businesses know, I won't order if it's being shipped with FedEx. In my experience, they are by FAR the worst major shipping company.

I have been waiting for a box to be delivered 7/18/17. This box contained medical supplies for me. The only way I can get this medical supplies is through the mail. You can't go to a store to buy this. So I have to wait for a delivery. I try to order this in plenty of time before I run out. I usually get delivery from UPS and Amazon is the place I order from. This time I got FedEx. What a mistake. I was looking at the tracking from FedEx on 7/18/17 and it said that my box was delivered. I was here with my wife waiting for this and never saw a FedEx truck all day. The message said delivered at 1:00 pm. I checked in at 2:00 pm online and called FedEx to find out what happened. It turned out I was lied to every time I spoke with a representative. A total of 6 reps. including 3 supervisors. I was told on my first call that they were calling their station and the deliveryman and get my package today. That never happened. Every rep. after that told a different story.
Finally at around 6:30 pm I spoke with Alison someone with misplaced packages and she told me the delivery man left it at the wrong address. He thought it was a good idea to deliver this important medical supplies box which I need to survive on, to another address which turned out to be one street over from me. I guess that's ok. I guess this company thinks it's ok to screw me and leave my medical supplies at any damn address. Then I guess it's OK to lie to me so they can leave me hanging for another day so the delivery guy can deliver the rest of his packages. I am old and very ill. I need those medical supplies for my nutrition. The nerve of this crap company to leave hanging and then lie about it to the point it could cause me more harm.
Now I'm told by Alison that they would deliver tomorrow. I am left with this bad taste in my mouth. They already lied to me multiple times. I need this drink for my survival. Leaving this box at someone else's home may mean that this party may open it to see what's inside. That means that I won't be able to use this product. That means I will have to reorder and wait for my money to be returned so I can reorder. In the meantime I WILL STARVE TO DEATH!!! You can't imagine the pain this will put me through and is already doing so. All that I have been given from FedEx is, "I'm sorry." Even though they could have had someone go out and pick up that box and drive to the next street and bring it to me, I'M NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE!!!

I had to walk back home, get my car, drive to where they delivered it, and since I drive a 2 seater, I had to take it out of the box on this person's driveway, try and manhandle it into the front seat, drive through standing water, get it into my front yard, drive back to this person's house to pick up the box, wedge it into the car and drive back home.
I don't know these people and while I was trying to get it into my car, I had passers by looking at me as if I was either stealing it or had lost my mind, I am in pretty good shape for a female, but trying to wedge a 75lbs portable floor AC unit into a Mustang took all of my strength and I pulled back muscle in the process. I've experienced on more than one occasion (both with FedEx and UPS) where they have done this. The problem was that they weren't at the correct address as 99% of the time someone is at home and have had multiple times where tracking shows item as being delivered (left at door no signature required) and there was no package to be found. It’s one thing to deal with submitting a claim for an item that is received damaged or showing as not having been delivered but it is a strenuous task to try and submit a claim for an item that shows was delivered but was actually never delivered.

Well today when the package was to be delivered it said it could not because no one was home. So I called 5 minutes after the driver attempted to leave the package. I spoke with customer service, and they called the base from where the package was coming from, and I was told the driver was still in the area, that he would return and leave the package at the back door. I called again, and this time was not the nicest. I spoke with a gentleman that was very rude and said that it was the drivers discretion to leave the package. I asked if he could transfer me over to the base where the package was coming from, and he said he will call first and make sure they want to speak with you. REALLY!!! The guy comes back on the phone and said that there is nothing they can do. That whoever spoke with me earlier, lied and said that they never told the driver to turn around. He said he saw on the notes for the driver to leave the package at the back door. Well, I then got sent to a supervisor that told me it's up to the driver to leave the package. If he doesn't want to leave it, he doesn't have to. I explained this is why I called yesterday to make sure this does not happen, and he said "oh well nothing else we can do."
That is poor customer care at its finest! I had everything arranged with notes in the system to leave the package, but because the guy did not want to unload 4 boxes he didn't drop them off. Instead they sit on it another 24 hrs because they didn't bother to deal with it today, again the scheduled delivery day. Instead they invent a bunch of "special reasons" that they can't deliver on time despite being less than 5 miles across town. FedEx is losing market share to Buster Brown and it is easy to see why. The "Senior Rep" spent more time double talking me than it would have taken to deliver the item. Done with you FedEx.

Ordered a package on Ebay and paid the shipping fee of $289. I was given a FedEx tracking number, did not work. I called the shipper and was informed that it was FedEx FREIGHT tracking number. I plugged in the number with FedEx Freight and was informed a lift gate fee was going be added to the shipping fee, which I was going have to pay. In order to not incur a lift gate fee, I had to drive 3 hours to the freight building to get it download it. As I was coordinating the pickup, after being told they close at 8 pm. I called the freight location and they told me their ONLY certified forklift operator got off at 6 pm, but close at 8 pm. But I stop work until 5 pm, and they close at 6 pm, and are not open on weekends. I attempted to change the delivery location and the change of fee was going to be $900. I will never deal with FedEx again!!

If we were stay at home people we wouldn't have a problem but seeing that we have to work to be able to buy stuff it causes a huge problem. FedEx does not seem to care or have a system in place that keeps all employees accountable. Employee makes us drive an hour to pick up our package only to find out that the driver took it anyways. Employee tells us to come next day then says the next day we can't. Employee tells me to head home for 2 hours to receive package only to tell me the driver was never headed back to my home. I love Jesus, I am a good person, I've never yelled so loud in my life. Like there is no way a company can have so many employees who have no idea what's going on with the driver or package. Having my husband and I driving around town, missing hours of work, days of the run around to get a package.
It's just incredibly shocking how many employees gave us the wrong information and had no idea how to get us to the package until we completely lost our patience. I truly hope FedEx can get it together. It's shocking with the technology we have to be so clueless about helping your customers get their packages. No remorse on each mistake. Until at the end when we lost it and they were finally able to help us get to it. Just get better at helping working people please.

To make it short and sweet, I placed an order on the 25th of June and it was shipped out the same day. It was shipped with FedEx from LA, California to Midland, Texas. The parcel sat from the 29th of June till the 2nd of July in the FedEx hub in Dallas when it finally got moved on. Today we have the 4th of July (a Holiday) and it is still not here. That shows the dedication to the customer of FedEx because it takes them twelve or more days to deliver a continental shipment. I had prior bad experiences with lost shipments, late arrivals and boxes that were not opened by accident (:-/). I would not recommend this utter garbage company to anyone!!!

I've done business with FedEx for a couple years and I've NEVER had an issue sending a box, that I wrapped. However, today I walked into the FedEx office in Thousand Oaks, CA and was told by a young lady: "We can't send this package... unless we open it up, and box it ourselves!" I told her I had NEVER had to do this when I dropped off packages at the Canoga Park, CA FedEx office. She replied... "I can re-box your item and send it... but there will be an added charge for that." She then showed me photos of mangled boxes with rope, strings and paper hanging from them. I told her "I did't use any ropes or strings and the paper had been affixed to the box VERY firmly." She still said it would have to be re-boxed.
I didn't stay long enough to ask her the cost of re-boxing. I wrapped my box in a VERY professional manner, just as I had done with all the previous box I've sent through FedEx. I believe that Fed-Ex is doing its best to increase its income by adding new fees and services. I'm sorry, but I won't be back!

It should the options of no stars! I have been having problems with FedEx in a while! Not only they deliver my packages open, yes OPEN, not damaged, OPEN, they also leave it at my front door. My front door is a corner. There are people passing by all the time! A week ago they delivered, they say they did, at my front door, and guess what?! I have never seen the machines! Since it was a very expensive purchase it has been difficult to receive a refund. We are putting cameras at our both doors and we are gonna catch them and sue them! We already have many, many pictures and complaints that are not solved with them and I will not rest until they hold responsible whoever is opening my purchases. They need to offer us a better service. If they cannot, they should close their business down!

Over 2 weeks ago I shipped some notarized time-sensitive closing documents for the sale of a home from London to the US using Priority Express International. The envelope arrived at the FedEx processing center in Memphis 2 days later and then poof - went off the radar! The online tracker started showing the arrival date as pending with a "No scheduled delivery date available at this time" message. After multiple calls to FedEx, being told the package is in customs and I need to wait, patiently waiting for over a week with no updates until they finally admitted there is a problem, having an investigator assigned to find it who didn't even follow-up properly, sending them copies of my documents on their request even though the documents should be in their envelope and I think it must break some privacy laws, and generally given the run-around, I was finally told they were indeed lost after over 2 weeks.
Final cost to me: $1,200 in shipping fees, document preparation (notarized and apostilled) and costs directly related to delaying the sale, not counting my time, stress and other indirect costs. The amount they agreed to refund me: $100 for the shipping costs and this I have to go claim from the little mom-and-pop stationary/FedEx shipping center I used in central London because the store apparently used their business account and FedEx can only refund them not me (I didn't even realize they did this). So now I have to go chase these guys down - talk about adding insult to injury.
I must clarify one thing. The reason they gave for not compensating me for damages is that I did not declare a value for the package which I didn't because they were documents and the staff person said it's not needed. That was my mistake. However, even if I had, FedEx said it would not refund any other losses caused by the delay as they are considered "consequential" and they don't cover these. I was lucky the extra costs were only about $600, they could've easily been thousands.
So the moral of the story is this: FedEx is not what they advertise in their pretty commercials - reliable, secure, professional - it's the very exact opposite. They are sloppy, negligent, unprofessional and unhelpful, their system is a mess. They remind me of that old DHL commercial of a shady courier driving a VW bug through some dusty town while packages are flying out the back door. Secondly, if you ship important time-sensitive documents that may cause you financial loss if lost or delayed, you might as well send them with a pigeon and hope for the best. Do not do it! FedEx will not cover any related losses, only the value of the contents of the package, if that. Perhaps they offer some extended insurance, but they certainly do not make it very clear, their documentation is horrible.
FedEx is guilty of false advertising and making it very difficult for consumers to understand exactly what they are getting. They advertise the priority service as fast, reliable, secure, etc, yet it's anything but. When you pay $100 to have a simple envelope shipped, you expect a high level of service and coverage which you do not get. While I understand the need for insurance, they should make it very clear what you are covered for and what you are not, and what your options are, and not bury this information in some insane legalese. Shame on you FedEx, horrible company, avoid at all costs!

I have been shipping my product for over 5 years. I have shipped nearly 10,000 packages. All of my packages are double boxed and reinforced with kraft tape. After a package spent an exceptionally long time in Lenexa, Kansas, I called FedEx to help track what was going on. I received a call from a manager in that department that claimed my box had been shredded by a belt and that it had been damaged. The package continued on its way to California nonetheless, where the destination facility decided to return the package to us. I called to complain saying, "It's already at the destination, just deliver it, don't return it to us all the way back in Chicago if it's damaged!" They claimed that "because the box was damaged, we cannot deliver it." So why didn't they return it to us when it was in Kansas?
We received a box back from FedEx that was smashed as well. We pulled out our product with none of the original shipping materials inside. The canvas bag that our product was in was even shredded. A FedEx employee even came out to tell us to file a claim and gave us a form. We filed that claim online in February. Didn't hear anything. I emailed in April asking the status of the claim. They said they're still working on it. I emailed again in June, and now they said they sent a letter out in April (which we never received) stating that our claim was denied due to "insufficient packaging."
I wrote a nasty letter to FedEx stating I had provided all the necessary documents including pictures, a video of us opening the package, all receipts, labels, etc.. They replied shortly with a letter saying they stand by the position of "insufficient packaging." So in my many years and thousands of packages, I've shipped out, not one has been damaged beyond a simple dent in the corner or side. Now this package, which was double boxed, was completely destroyed, so much so that they didn't even return our product in the original box. The canvas bag that we had our product in was shredded, and they are going to claim "insufficient packaging"? That is a cop out excuse and blanket statement for anything.
The truth is, FedEx does not want to pay our insurance claims, period. "Our truck ran over your package"? Insufficient packaging. "We dropped your package in a pond"? Insufficient packaging. "Your package was engulfed in flames and burnt to ashes after the semi crashed into a median"? Insufficient packaging. Never use FedEx! THEY ARE CONS!

Original Review: June 28, 2017
I had breast cancer, surgery, and treatment in 2015. I went to a Dickinson, Texas facility for my mammograms. I have since moved closer to the Austin, Texas area. I had a mammogram at an Austin facility. The Austin facility found abnormalities and needed my prior pictures/Breast cancer files from 2015. The Austin facility contacted the Dickinson facility and asked for them to be sent overnight by FedEx. This was June 16... a Friday... they should have been in the Austin office the next Monday for the doctors to review for my diagnosis. I waited until that Wednesday and called and was told that they did not have my pictures for the doctors to analyze.
I called the Radiology facility since I had received no call about my results to see if further testing /treatment was necessary. The representative in Austin told me that my breast cancer pictures were in Memphis, Tennessee. I called again a few days later and asked for the tracking number. I called FedEx with the tracking number and they said the package is missing. The last trace of it is in Memphis. I left my phone number and asked that a FedEx manager return my call. I said that this was unacceptable. I have not received a call from FedEx. In the meantime I DROVE to Dickinson, Texas... a 3 hr drive one way to pick up my files/films/pictures. I also contacted the Austin, TX mammogram facility again and they said that they had not received them and more were requested.
I am furious!!! I possibly have postponed breast cancer surgery/treatment 2 weeks due to FedEx losing my files (they are still lost). Someone possibly has access to my breast files/films /pictures. Someone possibly has access to my personal information... address, phone, email, health insurance and other VERY PRIVATE information and photos. The extreme stress these past additional TWO WEEKS of not knowing the results of possibly another breast cancer diagnosis is unbearable! This is due to FedEx losing this overnight package. The embarrassment of these files getting into the wrong hands is emotionally draining!
Additionally, the fear of my personal information being stolen is very upsetting! I want to know what a FedEx is going to do about this... it is unacceptable on MANY levels! Again, I have not been contacted by a Fedex representative as I requested when this important medical information was lost. A FedEx CEO needs to contact me immediately!
After writing this I searched my FedEx tracking AGAIN tonight and my URGENT OVERNIGHT BREAST cancer films which were sent FedEx Overnight on June 16 arrived at the Austin, Texas destination on June 26, 10 DAYS LATE! I feel like I need to contact an attorney about this FedEx experience. I called FedEx and said that this was unacceptable and to have a manager return my call. No call.

We ship packages using Postal Service, UPS or FedEx. The worst shipper is FedEx in Customer Service, handling of packages and answering questions. We ship about 25 to 30 packages in a month with FedEx and about 10% of the packages get damaged. The claim process is also very complicated, we feel like not to even file claim, sometime it is not worth of our time. Most of the time we ship through Postal Service and we are very happy. We will not recommend FEDEX to anyone as a preferred shipper.

Did not receive it on Thursday June 22 but tracking said it would be delayed till the next day. On Friday June 23 I still did not receive my item. Once again tracking said it would be delayed till the next business day. Sometimes they deliver on Saturday June 24 so I waited to see if it would come. It didn't so I called customer service. I was told they had had mechanical problems.
So on Monday June 26 it didn't come. I called the company I had ordered from for help. They contacted FedEx and were told it was lost in the warehouse. That night the tracking once again said will deliver next day on Tuesday June 27. Well at about 2:00pm today Tuesday June 27 I got a phone call from FedEx. They said, “We will not deliver today. We are SHORT ON DRIVERS.” So at this point the company I ordered from said they would refund my shipping if I refuse the Item if I ever get it. I will be out an additional $100 or so because of the liars at FedEx. In addition I have a second package that was received at FedEx hub, same hub, on Saturday June 24 did not receive it on Monday June 26 as tracking stated, and have not received it today Tuesday June 27 as tracking stated. I called them on the phone and they said that it would be shipped directly to a local FedEx site. I then found out that the packages were actually being sent to another location and then a third location before coming to my site. This shipping issue has cost me thousands in lost time. UPS and USPS have always been very reliable. FedEx has lost its ability to be a leader in the shipping industry.

A small package of blade bearings was shipped via the most expensive and fastest freight available on FedEx, from the ** plant in Torrence, California to the ** shop in Campbell River. The small package was picked up Tuesday AM at the California plant, and never arrived until Friday afternoon at the Campbell River hangar. Those bearings were supposed to arrive Wednesday, or Thursday at the very latest. Now that the package is hopelessly late the blade assembly could not be completed, and we are stuck in Campbell River over the weekend until Monday. What a waste of money paying for fast priority air freight!
I could have drove down to California and brought the bearings to Campbell River myself, if only FedEx would have told us their actual delivery time frame was not as advertised. DO NOT USE fedex "2-day" shipping! They're super unprofessional--from the drivers to customer service. Fedex claimed to have dropped a package off for me on a Friday yet every time I called they expressed REPEATEDLY that my package wasn't even in the system. Finally they find my package and they made note of the fact that when they recreated my label they omitted the apartment number. So, my package had no apartment number on it, hence the driver didn't know where he was taking the package. The driver swore he dropped it off but like I said there was no apt number on the package so there was no way he dropped it off.
I filed a claim and it was denied bc I neglected to put the declared value on the package so they couldn't give me the amount I asked for. Essentially they were excusing their negligence from NOT inputting my apt number on my shipment down to the driver getting off the hook for just leaving the package anywhere--as opposed to leaving it at the leasing office which I'm sure was standard protocol. Moral of the story - DO NOT trust FedEx!

My son ordered a package from Amazon for arrival 5/3/2017. The order was for a roof rack for his truck, and for some reason the package was shipped to the card billing address (family home) versus his physical address (military) in a different state. Two packages were received at my home, and I used FedEx to ship the packages to the base where my son is stationed. I shipped the packages on 5/16/17 for expected delivery on May 22nd. The smaller of the two packages was received (adapters for the roof rack), the larger package (roof rack, crossbars, connectors, hardware and instructions) was not received. Upon reviewing the tracking report it appeared the package was hung up at the Tennessee FedEx facility. I contacted FedEx and was happy with the service I received in attempt to locate the package.
After several days and conversations with FedEx the package was located and I was advised the shipping label was separated from the box. I was asked to describe the contents of the package and I advised the box clearly identified its contents as a Surco Safari Roof Rack, and this is when things became dysfunctional. I was then assigned a case number and several contacts later, one ground tracing rep advised the package was lost, next day found, another rep advised the package was relabeled and sent on for delivery. Waiting a few days and yet no delivery, I contacted FedEx again and another rep again wanted a description of the contents, and I advised I was previously told the package was found and, as I stated in an earlier conversation, the box clearly identified it's contents. I was then advised when a package is received with out a shipping label, it would be opened to verify it's contents.
I again questioned this policy and given a "it's policy" answer. I was then advised the shipment was a "repackage" and currently located at a FedEx station in North Carolina. My son received the package on May 30th with missing parts. The missing were the instructions, crossbars, connectors and hardware. Another contact to FedEx, the rep provided me via email, a claim report to complete. I compiled a letter with details of my experience, the claim form, and sent pictures that I received from my son to provide a description of how the roof rack was received. One pic was of the packages how I received them, another of the the FedEx "repackaged" box, which was smaller than the box I originally received and shipped to my son.
It appeared to be a box that I would hardly consider sturdy, and it consisted of two smaller boxes slid one into the other, then taped together in the middle, and the last picture to show what he received which were only the four pieces of the surround that hold the contents within the roof rack. I waited the 10 days to allow my case to be reviewed and then contacted FedEx, asked for a representative upfront, was connected with a rep and gave them my case number. I was then sent to the ground tracing department who told me "the package was delivered"! Yes, it was delivered and was missing parts.
FYI, in an prior contact with FedEx, the same thing happened, and from my own experience handling customer disputes for a major credit card company, I asked the rep in that prior contact, if because my claim is no longer lost package claim and now a missing parts claim would a different case number be assigned, of course I was told "No your case number remains the same". With each new call to FedEx, having to re-explain my claim was infuriating! During THIS contact I was disconnected once, I called back only to be directed to ground tracing again to be told the package was delivered! My last ounce of human dignity remained and I (gritting my teeth) asked for a supervisor. A very kind supervisor listened to my frustration, advised me I was indeed assigned a new case number so in the future I would not need to speak with ground tracing.
I was then connected with a rep (who had the tone of "I've had a long day, don't mess with me") and after a long delay, advised my claim was denied. I asked why, and was told in so many words that had to be repeated, that my dispute is with the shipper... Really? Clearly previous conversations had not been documented, and reviewed completely. With every ounce of self respect I responded "I AM the shipper! I shipped this package to my son because I received it in error. I frustratingly reiterated my claim. She then (begrudgingly) stated she had set up a 'pick up' of the package, she provided me with a time frame, and a tracking number, to provide to my son. I was not able to advise where my son could safely leave the package for pickup as he works unusual midday hours. I asked if I could call her back after I verified with my son a pick up location.
She (the customer service rep that she is, "I go home in a few minutes"). was not one to go the extra mile. I texted my son, with the details, and waiting for his response. Promptly at 2 AM my time, he responded that he had thrown out the box he received the parts in. I thought maybe he could go to a FedEx location near him to get another box then schedule a pick up. He did and FedEx did not have a box the size he needed. Flabbergasted! FedEx - you ship packages worldwide?!? I left work early today so I could follow up with my case rep before she had to go home. I called the toll free number, provided my case number and Yippee was immediately connected to her extension... only to be disconnected. I called back, and another rep answered to advise my case rep was not available - no surprises there!. I presumed (silly me) that my new details could be added to my detailed (?) case notes.
This other case rep (in a tone of voice that I knew was one of sheer joy) advised me that because my son threw away the box he received, the claim would be denied. I asked for a supervisor, was told then was none available (of course), she took my number and advised I would receive a call back within 24 hours. My phone will be attached to my body like it was waiting for my son to call while in basic. This is the first time I have directly shipped with FedEx and it will be my last. I expressed that in my letter to them in the details of my claim. I even opened an account for future shipments as my son will deploy in the near future and I truly thought their reputation was superior. I have learned otherwise. I will continue this claim until FedEx can document to me a valid reason why they will not provide compensation for some of this loss.

My teenage granddaughter picked out some clothes and boots she wanted for Christmas from Forever 21 and I ordered them (her gifts) and paid online, to be delivered 11/28/2016 by FedEx. Knowing I would be on vacation that day, I requested the package be delivered to my office. Our local news station was advising viewers to have their packages delivered to their jobs because of so many thefts of deliveries from front doorways. I alerted everyone at work, as I had several deliveries coming (UPS and USPS). As the packages were delivered, they were immediately locked in my office. When I returned from vacation, I checked the packages. All were there, locked in my office, with the exception of the 15# box that was to be delivered by FedEx. I checked with all the employees and no one received a 15# package from FedEx.
I called FedEx and was told the store, Forever 21, would have to file a claim. FedEx told me the package had been delivered and that I signed for it. I told them I was on vacation that day and could not have signed. I asked for a copy of the signature and was told I would have to get it from Forever 21. Forever 21 told me they would file a claim and I would receive a refund on 12/16/2016, they said FedEx gave me wrong information as they did not have copies of signatures. I didn't hear anything on 12/16/2016, nor did I receive the refund I was told I would get. I called Forever 21 and was told to call FedEx.
FedEx said they denied the claim. I asked why, and was told, "Because you signed for it. You received your package". I repeated everything again and said I didn't think they should deny the claim without doing an investigation (they didn't send the driver to talk to me, didn't send me a copy of my signature they insisted they had - I even offered to send them my signature so they could compare). Bottom line, absolutely no investigation, just a denial. But, to make me feel better they told me to call Forever 21 and have them file another claim. So... started this whole ordeal all over again. After a few days, I called about the claim and was told it was denied. I made many calls to both FedEx and Forever 21 and was told by Forever 21 I would need to talk to FedEx, who told me they couldn't help me because Forever 21 is their customer, not me.
Forever 21 said they believed that I did not get my delivery. I asked them to refund my money (nearly $300) so that I could provide my granddaughter with Christmas gifts. They refused. They also refused to file another FedEx claim, saying 2 claims is their limit. When I said, "You have my money, and I didn't get my purchase - are you going to keep my money"? I was told, "Yes". I no longer shop at Forever 21, nor do I use FedEx any longer. I do however, make sure my friends, family, and co-workers know how my granddaughter's 2016 Christmas was ruined by these companies (I guess they needed my money, more than this little girl needed her gifts). Really rotten companies to do business with. We work too hard for our money to waste time with these thieves. Please beware.

When I called the third time they gave me the address where it was delivered and told me I could go find it. When a package requires a signature they can give your package to anyone anywhere who is willing to sign for it. 7 days later I still do not have the package and no call backs for the third time. You have no recourse and no means to address this to any management. Calls are forwarded to a " customer advocate". I needed the items in that package much sooner, so I called the seller and they were gracious enough to send out another package (mind you the item in the package cost me around $300).
I got a new tracking number and was told it would arrive two days ago. When I logged on to see why my package never arrived, I saw that the delivery day was once again substituted to say 'pending' again (which I now know is FedEx term for 'lost your package AGAIN!'). I called and guess what?! They lost my second package!!! It has been almost a month and I need the contents of that package immediately. I had to call the seller, which is super awesome and I would love to give them business, to tell them that I wanted a refund. Now it shows the step with neighbor city that was before mine and date being changed to Tuesday. The supplier asked if I wanted to use my own FedEx account for the shipment and so I assumed the price would be the same. All arrived on time but my invoice was for $1,562.03 CDN for the exact same shipment! I am so furious I want to tell everyone how unfair this is. The FedEx customer reps say they will call the local office and then tell me that will call back, or that the package will be on a truck the next day. Neither has happened to date. One customer rep called the local office and then told me they are short on drivers and that there is no estimated delivery date. She then marked the shipment for local pickup without my approval. I emailed the CEO at the FedEx head office, expressing my disastrous experience with Alex **, a FedEx employee who never returns calls, and with FedEx overall. I got a phone call from a Silvia ** at the CEO's office, promising to look into it. She called to say that the FedEx merger with TNT was resulting in 'chaos', that she had called **'s supervisor "Bridget" to follow up and find out what was happening. She didn't call me back so I called her and Silvia said "Bridget" had called while she was away from her phone, but that she would follow up.
Since then, nothing. This has been going on for weeks. If I enter the tracking number in their site, it says the number doesn't exist. I called the general number and a woman said the tracking number didn't exist then she dropped the call. There is NO WAY TO REACH ANYONE ACCOUNTABLE at FedEx. My sender is equally frustrated. Fedex SmartPost is not smart at all. In fact, this service is disorganized poorly planned, and poorly executed. I have been waiting for a package from CA to TX for over 10 days. My package was right up the street at Houston Fedex center but because they team up with USPS they took my package four hours away to Dallas. Fedex SmartPost is wasting time and resources to shuffle my package around. I did not receive my package by the delivery date. Whats the point of tracking your package if the company has no idea how to contact the truck drivers directly.
I was told by customer service that they don't know where my package is until it is scanned at a location. These shipping companies need more accountability with their delivery drivers because for another package I was set to receive at my apartment, as I was tracking my package from inside my package an alert popped up that there was an attempt and a door tag left. I was at home all day and an attempt was never made but these truck drivers lie and this causes customer service to lie because they have no idea how to locate or directly contact the drivers. Yesterday, 6-8-17, my child and I were at Boise's FedEx on (271 on Milwaukee.) I am a business owner and I come here often. This was the worst experience ever. This complaint is about employee **. Yesterday was the third time employee ** harassed my child. Let me tell you about yesterday, first. Yesterday, 6-8-17, I was working on the computer while my child was being a normal child, looking around, searching for greeting cards and discovering. What I witnessed, three minutes after I placed my behind on the computer chair, was unbelievable.
As soon as my child 'dared' to touch an object that was available for him to freely purchase at any time he desired, employee ** rushed to my child, violently pulled an object from his little hands without my permission and, again without my permission, yelled at my child, "Don't steal this!!!" My child ran to me crying. He was terrorized by this woman for the third time. He cried for a long time after that.
First of all, he is a child. Nobody should talk in an accusatory manner to an innocent child. You have a problem with my child, you come to me. I am the parent, you don't traumatize my child, I don't allow you to. Second, **'s job is to 'serve' customers, including children. Children are human beings, they are equal to adults, they have human rights. One should not demean a child like that! What ** did yesterday was unacceptable: she harassed an innocent child, and that happened to be my child.
I (try my best to understand that) some people dislike kids; fine; however, when kids-haters are at the job place, they have a professional responsibility to keep that disgraceful child-hate of theirs in check at all time or else there can be disastrous professional consequences for them. ** traumatized my child yesterday. She demeaned my child. Shame on you, FedEx Boise, Idaho on Milwaukee, for allowing such creatures to run the show. I don't care if ** is "nice" to others; that is irrelevant. She was vicious to my child, and she was vicious for no reason. Unacceptable! Why do my child and I have to suffer? Why do you see us as less human beings than the rest???
There were two other occasions in which the same female employee ** terrorized my child, of which I will only mention one here. I purchased, on another occasion a couple of months ago, a thumb drive from ** and my child wished to hold the thumb drive that I purchased in his hands. Totally acceptable. I purchased something, I decide to give it to my child or not, he is my child, under my supervision, not **'s animal or slave. What ** did was she violently grabbed the thumb drive from my child's innocent little hands, raising her voice at him and showing anger towards him. My child was terrorized. He cried the whole afternoon. Unacceptable treatment of a human being.
How can you, FedEx-district-manager-over-Utah-and-Idaho, still keep such disgraceful creatures employed with the company you represent? Is it because you may have the same discriminatory values as **? Is it because you are corrupted? Is it because you're afraid to be and act like a manager with values? Do you, like your subaltern **, believe that discrimination, selective torture of children, emotional trauma of certain children, and putting 'selected' children down is something of great value, something that should be rewarded at the workforce?
I was in management for the last 5 years working for the federal government. I know about customer service, and I know that there are certain situations that call for brave action. In other words, there are situations in which, regardless of the person's reputation, that person has to be disciplined one way or another. Sometimes there are customer complaints of impressive magnitude, complaints involving civil rights and human rights and doctor's proofs of traumatic experiences - in these cases, something needs to be done, action needs to be taken. My case is one of these. Situations like this one need to be corrected by taking appropriate action. Managers should have the capability and strength to do that.
Why does ** from Boise's FedEx on Milwaukee, treat others with dignity and respect while treating my child and me with hate, discourteous attitude, anger and resentment? She treated my kid worse than a criminal is treated in prison. Why did she put my child down? Why my child? Why not other children of other parents? Why did she choose to traumatize my beautiful, intelligent and active child? This woman has real anger issues. ** needs to go. She needs to be fired.
My child and I should not feel less of human beings because ** hates us. My child and I should not be afraid to enter that FedEx place because an employee hates me or/and my child. That is unheard of in this day and age. We do not support slavery anymore, people. Wake up! Employee ** has discriminated against my child and, as a result, against my person on three occasions. My question to the Consumer Affairs and FedEx is this: Is discrimination supported by FedEx? Is discrimination supported by Consumer Affairs? I thought we live in the 21st century. Am I mistaken? Should FedEx not fire **? I'll ensure FedEx will hear from my attorneys.

While I was posting that sign 2 FEDEX trucks whizzed by and totally ignored me POINTING to the sign!!! In the past I have actually had to chain off portions of my drive so they couldn't leave without delivering the package. I Literally had to "TRAP the TRUCK". They seem to think their job is to post "can't deliver" notices on doors even when I'm only 50 feet away as they make a sneak drive through even with big signs posted "FEDEX, LEAVE PACKAGES HERE". I post signs "Honk Horn for Attention". The horn is nearly silent. They won't even wait 30 seconds for me to get to the truck. It's "Meep" ZOOM away. UPS never has a problem.

When I called, the person said "sorry, it hadn't been "scheduled"." Fell through the cracks. I asked her how that could happen with an automated computer system, but got no answer. She then scheduled it, and it was picked up, for delivery the next day. When I tracked it, I found "No delivery date scheduled." Another call, and I was told that a "complaint number" had been initiated. Later, I got a call from the local distribution center, saying that the package was lost!!! Apparently the shipping label fell off, and no one could locate the box, even though I described it.
As I contemplated what to do, the package mysteriously showed up AT MY DOOR. Thank goodness, the package had a label from a prior shipment. No one, of course, had told the distribution center lady that was working with me. Every single FedEx employee, except the one kindly woman at the local distribution center, was surly, unhelpful, and obviously felt put out by my calls. And all I wanted was a simple shipment. Next day, I took the package to USPS, and it was mailed and delivered without incident. I would not use FedEx to send a roll of toilet paper across the street. No point writing to FedEx management. They do not give a damn about small business. While FedEx was once a great alternative to USPS, it is now the other way around. FedEx is a disgrace and a tragedy to American business. Unfortunately, the seller used FedEx to send the watch.
However, FedEx surprised me and the item was in local facility on time. I got a nice message about the shipping time. I was expecting 6 package altogether that day, all signature required. So, I was at home all the time, actually we were 3 people at home. I saw the driver on the way in FedEx tracking. But, I was surprised again when at 11:50 pm the tracking showed me that, "I am not at home" and they attempted a delivery.
My home is in the inner city, on a quiet neighbourhood. This is a small wooden house next to wide road. Moreover, I signed another package at just 11:30 from Toll shipping service. We never left the house for a single second. But the Fedex driver claimed that he came and nobody was at home. But I guess he forgot to leave the shipping note as there was none.
I called Fedex and explain everything, the person from the service took nearly 30 minutes and came up a solution that the driver is coming back to my house by 40-45 minutes. So, I wait wait wait. But that never happened. It was Friday, so now they are telling me that they cannot do anything about this. The FedEx customer service even refused to give me any kind of explanation. They gave me a option to pick that up from the depot. Or they can try to ship Next business day (Monday), when I will be on road to Melbourne. But I am looking for an explanation. But so big was my surprise when I hear that instead of delivering the package, Fedex left a note saying that they regret to inform that the package was being held because (cosmetics) needs a special permits (authorization) from the Chilean Ministry of Health to get into the country (because it is a restricted product) additionally to have to pay multas.
After that I contacted an Aduana agent who informed me that Fedex knows the aduana's rules of entry and that they know what kind of products can entry and which have problems of retention. Afterwards, I sent emails to Customer Services Support complaining about the situation and demanding them to recover the package and delivered to me without extra cost due to the mistake was from their side. If you are getting discounted products from the website, while paying the customs in your country they will use the full value and calculate the customs on that. FedEx representative will not contest with Customs person on your behalf and you will end up paying more. There are a lot of additional handling charges by FedEx which will be required to pay along with Customs charges. If you are living in a non-metro city, FedEx might come back and ask you to send few additional documents to deliver the product in your state and believe me that is a lot of work. Anyway, nothing arrives on 5/23/17 and tracking now says I'll get it 5/26/17. Nothing arrives this date either. I check FedEx tracking and the package arrived in CA where I live on 5/20/17 and then it goes back to other states and landing in OH where it was originally ordered. I call FedEx and they say it's on its way back to CA. For some reason they can't tell me why it didn't stay in CA since it's already been here once. Makes no damn sense!!! Anyways, I'll never order from Signals again or use FedEx. I won't even go into a FedEx store. They'll have to drag my cold dead body to that place.

Ordered a package off of Etsy which was sent via FedEx. Fedex cleared the package through customs and billed me for $15.96 without my consent or authorization. I received a few letters saying I owed them money but didn't deal with it right away. I recently received a collections notice from NCO Financial Services Inc telling me I am in collections from Fedex for a charge I have never authorized and my credit score has been greatly affected. Further packages delivered through Fedex are extremely difficult to collect. They only deliver 9am-5am Monday-Friday and their stores are only open to 6PM. Like most people I work so to even pick up my package I have to take time off of work. Will never ordered anything through them again.

I run a photography business and needed to order new light reflectors. The FedEx shipping site said it would arrive 5/24/2017. FedEx tracking has had my package in one location for 4 days! So I called today to see if they could find my package. First they told me I should check USPS for information. Well USPS has no record on my package. I called FedEx back. They promised me that I would get my reflectors when the mail came.
Bills and a coupon for sushi but no FedEx package. So I called again. Then they tell me that they have lost my package! But it would be found today or tomorrow. Left a review on their site. Someone got a hold of me and I explained the situation. They said they to would look for my package. Then I get an email saying that they will call me in 3-5 days if they find it! Now I have to refund a couple $800 dollars, lose a customer and future customers because FedEx could not do their job. If my business goes under because of this I fully intend to sue.

The delivery of medication was arranged by the pharmacy to arrive today and be left at a designated place at my address. Around 1:30 PM, I received a call from the pharmacy that Fedex had returned to their warehouse with the package. I was asked if they had rung the bell. I said that the bell had not been rung. I was asked if a door knob hangtag had been left. I said no. I was home all day and no attempt was mail to deliver this very important package to me. I was asked if it was okay if the package came tomorrow. I said I guess so. What was I to say? I called Fedex and asked to file a complaint. I was given a case number. I later got a phone message saying the package was already back at their facility and it would be delivered the next day. What nonsense. They made zero attempt to delivery it today.

Dealership overnight shipped temporary plates, to quickly replace expired ones. It is now three days later and I still haven't received my overnight package, and I still can't drive my vehicle. I should of driven to the dealer. Why does anyone use this service? Plus when I order parts online too often the parts are shipped FedEx. I ask that the parts be placed in the watertight box on my driveway. There is even a sign on the door asking for this, and notifying that I'm a hearing disabled Veteran, yet FedEx will not do this because the customer (That is the shipper) has to request it, they, that is FedEx doesn't give a rats butt about what I need or want, I'm not paying for the shipping.

FEDEX flat-out lost (so far) an International Priority Envelope I sent via a 3rd Party Shipper. After 6 Days the Tracking Number, which the 3rd Party Shipper assures me was "scanned-in" still does not exist on their computer system when I call their 1-800 number. The Tracking Number only showed up on their Website AFTER I submitted my Online Claim, and the Status remains "Pending/In-Transit." The follow-up E-mails I send all get 'canned' auto-reply mail; what I am trying to do e-mailing them is simple: provide them with enough information to locate the envelope - full details as I have them; and poke them in the direction of doing something about the situation which they do not seem set-up or inclined to handle.
The contents were (are?) important documents; money back from them is not helpful. All I want (silly me) is to have them delivered or returned. At this point, if they can locate the Envelope, I would rather have them return it to me than trust them to deliver it. Frankly, I feel like an idiot for using them, and will never do so again under any circumstances.

FedEx tracing dept staff promised over and over I would be informed about the status of my international package, but repeatedly failed to contact me. Staff were poorly trained and curiously read messages and prior records out loud over the phone while I waited-- as if they were unable to read silently. Many of them were poor communicators, speaking unclearly and too quickly to be understood. Customer service at FedEx is terrible and staff are barely able to communicate and make promises about follow up that are never fulfilled. Their communication with the customs officials in foreign countries is also poor. Sending an international package by FedEx is a terrible experience.

I had a package that was supposed to be delivered on Friday. I finally got an email saying that nobody was home to sign for it. That is a LIE! My wife was home all day. The next scheduled delivery was for Saturday. At 4PM I checked their site and at 3:59 it was supposedly attempted to be delivered but was not done. Neither day was a notice left at the apartment or the rental office. The rental office said FedEx was never there.
I had contacted the customer service and was told that they would attempt to deliver again on Saturday, NEVER HAPPENED. I am in the medical field and the item was necessary for a surgical procedure. This is not the first time but at least the 10th time I have had the same problem with this company. I refuse to ship through them, USPS or UPS never has a problem. They never do the right thing by their customers. USE ANYONE ELSE. Saving a few dollars is not worth the cost of a life even if it is for an animal. How can this company stay in business.

The lazy driver left the package at lease office without leaving a door tag at home. Because of my health reason I want them to deliver directly at home. When I spoke to FedEx customer service they say that they can send a message to driver but cannot guarantee that heavy package will be delivered home or not. The local terminal people should have the driver's contact phone number and talk to them. But here they say "we don't have any contact information of driver". It's not at all satisfactory. When driver has chosen a package delivery job he has to fulfill it with truth. Just don't lie. That door tag has left in front of door.

I have to go to the FedEx office and pick the toilet up and bring it home myself. Not only was there no way to release the home signature requirement but the FedEx website is a nightmare. Horrible. They do not count the pickup date in that 2-3 so the package will not arrive until Wednesday. Almost a week after ordered so why pay expedited. The package according to tracking has been at the sort facility since Sunday. I offered to come pick up. Cannot do that only can be delivered on Wed unless shipper wants to call and change shipping services. Should be held more accountable. I live at a UPS hub. If I find something is in my city I can call and go pick up at sort facility. Why can't FedEx? They would rather piss off customers and leave the package sit so it goes out at the very last possible opportunity instead of moving it on out. When speaking with customer about the delivery time of my package. I received three different answers. So far, FedEx has proven itself to be disorganized and dishonest. I wanted to arrange pickup for package for Friday. Customer service said package was in the pod at warehouse and they don't sort that on weekends. It was FRIDAY. The first agent just hung up on me. And pressed the mute button on and off and then hung up. Today Saturday 13, customer service agent told me that it was moved to the local FedEx store today. And then placed on their delivery truck after it was placed in the store. I said "Okay can I go and pick up there at the store." "No, the store is closed today."
FedEx advertises Sat. deliver and all their stores in Fort Worth are open today that I can see all 40 of them in the metroplex. Bottom line. FedEx lies and come across incompetent. This company back in the day was decent for 1 day and two day air but their ground is wasted of your time and money. If possible I would recommend going with UPS Ground. If customer service was more direct and told me the truth about my delivery this review would not have been written. Lies have consequences. Very basic concept. I have this month alone bought from two things from one online store. And one thing from another... first of all they always say in their report they did not need my signature so they set it by the front door. No I have a long huge deck porch and they set it way out on the porch and do not knock or make a sound even though it was pouring rain. By the time I see the box it is mushy and I have to go out in the rain with a dry box and carrying like a set of dishes in a few at a time... even the inside boxes were mushy that time. Whereas near the door it would not have gotten that much rain. Or knock on the side of the house and leave so I know it's there.
Now there were broken dishes in the box. The company had packed it well and it was padded but things were broken and the people I ordered from replace the broken parts... just trouble, time and annoyance. Second order... well it was a set of glasses, box was perfect and everything well packed. But there were some shattered. Back to the phone to get replacements and wait. Today I saw the driver set my mixing bowl order in the rain and walk off. Now a noise one... I ran and got it... another store this time... it was so well-packed but it had been slammed down so hard somewhere the bottom two bowls on the set had the bottoms cracked out of them.
So basically they dump their deliveries in the rain, do not knock or anything knowing it is pouring rain... plus three orders delivered by them this month all well-packed had broken things in them. Yes I get it replaced. I sit on the phone a long time waiting my turn to talk to a company rep to do so... then I wait for the delivery to make my order whole again. It is taking time and is annoying. Frankly I get orders delivered by other carriers and I have never had anything broke until this month when FedEx is the shipping agent.
They are rough handling their packages and this last one showed it. The box was almost broken open and it had reinforced shipping tape on it. And the driver could care less what condition the goods are in. They toss it in the rain silently and go on. It's delivered and no longer their problem... but it is not good business and it is wasting time of the person receiving. Annoying to say the least and time consuming. It's just bad business and I remember a day not that long ago that FedEx was an excellent service. It's a shame to see what it is reduced to. I know things get damaged from time to time but three in a month is bad. So Fed Ex in my area is high to use and has become a careless carefree bunch of people. I cannot show you photos of the broken things. I threw them away so I would not be cut. And even the companies I bought from only one ask for a photo. I deleted the photos after my things were replaced.

These pros can't do anything right. When getting my phone back from being repaired. They added one digit to my address. Well FedEx did not even try to deliver it. (I know cause that day no FedEx trucks came to my street.) Just put on the tracking that it was not deliverable. Same day I called FedEx and the mobile phone company. The mobile company even called FedEx to change the address. So knowing that the address was wrong and told that by the shipper on Tuesday.
They did not even scan the item when it returned on the truck to their center till the next day at till 8:27 am and the correct address was put on the shipment, but guess what time the truck leave the center? They leave for the deliveries just before 8 am. So not only did my package sit in the truck all night. They had plenty of time to take it off in the morning. Have it sit around while they load up the truck. Have it leave. Have a smoke break. Before scanning it. Now all the customer service people will say is that it is set to be delivered now on Thursday. Personally I would not be surprised if it is not in tiny pieces.

This is not the first time I have had a problem. I just never wrote a review about the other times. They emailed me and told me that my package would be here yesterday. I made plans. Then when I call them back they said that they would put a time frame of about 12 o'clock noon the following day. Then they called me and told me around 1:30. Never received it until about 3:15. They should not be sending them emails out if they can't meet the deadline. I'm not upset at the drivers because they're just doing their job. I'm just saying "Do not send those emails." I often have deliveries coming through UPS and FedEx. When UPS gives me a delivery that has to be signed for they never fail to show up as they say. I have had notices from FedEx of the day that a shipment would arrive, reminding me that someone must sign, and then the package will be delayed up to THREE DAYS from the original date. I ask vendors to not ship to me FedEx, but FedEx manages a small percent of savings by having contractors manage deliveries rather than UPS. I'd rather pay more for reliable service. Planning my day based on having to sign for something is a bit of a waste of time. Planning that day just to have FedEx waste it and having to wait another day or three is more than annoying. I returned it the next day and a week later Microsoft claims they're not getting a response from FedEx. My money is tied up and I don't have a computer.
They won't send a new computer until FedEx acknowledges the damage. (Shame on you Microsoft - You sully your good name by using an inferior company to save a few dollars. What they don't tell you is if they lose one they make it very difficult for you to find it or get it back. Their customer service representatives are smart aleck. They can't and won't help you. If you ask for a supervisor you will be told at 2 o'clock in the afternoon they have all gone home for the day. If you write to their customer service at their corporate office. You will get a general response saying "we will get back to you in 24 hours". This is by far the worst customer service system that I have ever worked with.
Do not ship FedEx. Ship any other way but don't use FedEx. That is if you want your package delivered to the right destination. You want to make sure that your customer is satisfied. Or at least if they make a mistake or willing to fix it. Instead they make the customer feel like they're causing trouble or putting them out by asking them to find the package that they lost. They can't make a simple phone call to a driver. It is ridiculous system. The people that work there are not helpful at all. I would not recommend shipping with them ever.

It seems like Companies are much more concerned with saving money than getting items to their customers quicker as many of them claim. FedEx Smartpost must offer companies the cheapest way to ship because they are by far the SLOWEST! What I don't understand is, the company sends your package to FedEx and then FedEx Smartpost gives your package to your local post office. If the post office is going to deliver it any way, why not skip the middle man and send it straight through USPS??? If your package is sent through FedEx Smartpost, it can literally sit for several days (even though it's right down the street from your house!) before they give it to the post office. Then depending on when it arrives at the post office, determines when it will finally be delivered. FedEx Smartpost is a total joke!

I sat close to the door of the motel room I was in with the tv turned down so I would be sure to hear the anticipated knock on the door. The package didn't come, so I tracked it, and the page said "Delivery Exception... Customer not available or Business Closed." The motel hasn't closed, and I was available. THEY RESCHEDULED THE DELIVERY FOR MONDAY. Almost ruined my day.
I will give them credit for this (reason for 2nd star): I called CS at the FedEx.com website and they connected me to the nearest FedEx location 60 miles away. I talked with a courier and he delivered the package in about an hour and 15 minutes. He said the previous courier misread the address--he tried to deliver to an "S" (south) address when it was clearly marked a NE address.
In December 2012, FedEx didn't pick up an important package from one of their drop boxes, even though a pickup was scheduled. The local FedEx office told me that there was NO DROP BOX THERE at that location, EVEN THOUGH I HAD PUT A PACKAGE IN IT. I had to make repeated calls to customer service. Each time they were very pleasant and went out of their way to help. But NOTHING that they said they would do was ever done. NOTHING. I eventually had to sue them in small claims court to get reimbursed. They knew they were wrong and didn't even contest my claim. UNRELIABLE.
