National Debt Relief has a great program. The only thing that was frustrating about the whole thing was they said they could consolidate all my debt, but they couldn't do that. American Express is a separate entity and they do not deal with third-party individuals like National Debt Relief. So, my debt was not able to be resolved with American Express. It's still out there and I'm wondering what's going to happen. It's already been a written off, so I don't know what I should do. American Express doesn't help. Other than that, I graduated from National Debt Relief's program. I made my payments on time and I did what I had to do. I was quite surprised to received a congratulations card saying that I had completed everything. That was for three credit cards, so that was pretty good for me. Now I'm debt-free and I'm happy. I can save money and it's nice to have money in the bank now.
I had an issue with Capital One, then because I'm a T-Mobile customer, Capital One extended me the invitation for a credit card. So, I accepted it. I went on holiday to the Canary Island and I used my credit card over there for all my purchases. Then I came home and I paid it off. I got a credit card with zero balance and $7,500 available. So, that worked out pretty well with National Debt Relief's help.
Initially, when I called up National Debt Relief, I got into the program and started talking with a person. They figured out how much was coming in, then they figure how much was going out. They did some numbers, then they saw what number was good for me, and it was. But I told them that I could pay a little bit more, so I went a little bit more and my payment was $666 a month. By paying more shortened the time to pay off everything. After I enrolled in the program, they told me to stop paying my creditors. So, when I came home one day, I had an envelope taped to my front door and Discover was taking me to court.
I called National Debt Relief and they took down all the information. I faxed them all that because it was a clump of pages and they took care of it. National Debt Relief's reps were very helpful. I even spoke with the lawyer, and the lawyer said I was good because I was going through the debt relief. Discover ended up jumping on the debt relief program, and they got rid of taking me to court. The same thing happened with Capital One.

Been using National Debt Relief now for 4 years,,, started ok then took a turn for the worse,, they missed cards and cost me more, they would take payments out early causing bank overdrafts and also stated out at 948onth is now close to 1100, because of them I received a summons to appear in court last year, after contacting them they sent someone in my place... Anyone reading this should steer clear.... I figured to be done 4 years later but as of this writing July 12th 2026 i am still not finished, so steer clear of them.

I had a phenomenal experience with National Debt Relief. They were very straightforward and helpful throughout the process. Their reputation was pretty good. The person that I spoke to was also very helpful. When I spoke to him, he made the process pretty easy and told me he was gonna work with me. I had a few accounts that I had to take care of. He explained how the process would work and how they would be fighting while I pay them to negotiate it down. I got one account out of the way, and I graduated the other account that I had paid off completely. So, it was definitely something good at that time, and it did help me figure something out and gave me the time to finally be able to get things arranged and pay everything off.
Going through the program was very straightforward. I had a phone call with my rep, and he had sent me an email, and he was going through the pages one by one while we were on the phone to make sure everything was okay. I am aware of the program policies. I didn't expect to do it on the same day, but it was a 45-minute call to an hour and 30 minutes for us to figure everything out, and he was able to create me an account and get everything started. Once I knew how much I could afford to pay, he set the pay plan accordingly. I started paying everything off. He told me there was no penalty, which also helped throughout the process to figure things out. Whenever I needed anything, I just called and I had a representative to speak to. National Debt Relief was very easy to work with. Hopefully, I don't have to go through that experience again, but I'm glad I went with them to begin with.

National Debt Relief helped me. The guy that I spoke to was very helpful. I would think we were like friends with the way that we were talking. That makes it more trusting in the company. The enrollment process was easier than I thought. I used the dashboard. The guy I dealt with even walked me through it to get onto the dashboard. I graduated in the program last month. I had NDR bookmarked on my Safari, so I wouldn't forget what the website was. An app would probably be way easier and more simple to find, but it was easy on the website, it was easy to see how many payments I made and how many I needed and how much I had in my balance.

My experience with NDR was very good. I wanted something that would have worked for me, and I thought that I could work with them. The enrollment process wasn't very difficult once I got to the site, and I was able to speak with someone. It wasn't difficult going through a basic questionnaire. And within a short space of time, being placed on a plan and then agreeing on a plan didn't take very long.
I found all along that I got the information that I needed. There was transparency also. And it helped me a lot to work through my debt and at least save some money and complete the process within the shortest space of time than what was originally planned. I worked with them very comfortably. There was always a response. With some of those agencies, you have to wait a long time before a response or before someone picks up the phone. I never had that issue. Even if I sent an email, there was always a response almost immediately.
The ongoing customer support has been excellent because I receive email reminders. If there were queries, I'll receive feedback in a short space of time. And there were times when they were checking with me to ensure that everything was okay. The quality of service was excellent on every level. Their program idea is excellent to cater to people's needs, and I'm hoping that a lot of people continue to benefit from it too. I would highly recommend NDR.

I was in the program for one year. They were taking over $260 out of my checking account every two weeks. At first I heard from them often, but as time were on I didn’t hear much from them. I looked into it deeper. They charge me multiple times over $230 for settlement fees. They were charging $18 a month for lawyer fee for the bank. Another nine dollars per month for handling fees. Then come to find out it was a 57 month program. And total I was gonna pay just under $30,000. My credit card debt wasn’t much more than that.

I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent experience with the credit application process. When I first began, I was genuinely excited at the prospect of getting my credit back on track, and I approached the journey with optimism. However, after some reflection over the weekend, I decided it would be best to postpone this process for a while.
When I called to cancel my application, I was transferred to a consultant. During the conversation, I explained my decision to pause, but unfortunately, the response I received left me feeling discouraged. The consultant implied that postponing my debt resolution would reflect poorly on my ability to succeed, and I felt an uncomfortable pressure to reconsider my choice. Instead of feeling supported, I felt pushed to listen to their advice, even though all I wanted was to cancel and take a step back for now.
I believe it’s crucial to treat customers with empathy and understanding, especially when they are navigating important decisions about their financial well-being. I wanted to bring my experience to your attention so that future interactions can be more encouraging and considerate. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my concerns.

A friend had done the National Debt Relief program and she said they would reduce the debt. So that got me started with them. My program ran for two years and they sent me a monthly statement. The experience was okay and their reps were good. The program helps. But I only had two credit cards that was involved and instead of them paying some on each one, they paid one off before they started on the other one, then the bank that had the card stopped charging me interest in everything. The bank that National Debt Relief paid off last was the one I've been banking with since I've ever had a job and I'm 65 years old. So I didn't like that. I thought they paid some on everything that you had in the consolidation. Also, I don't remember them telling me about the fees and if it was something I had to read, there were pages and pages of the contract, so I probably didn't read it. After my mother had her stroke, I saw that she had several credit cards that I had no knowledge of. I was wondering why she had so many with her fixed income. So, I knew we needed to get those taken care of. I remember using National Debt Relief many years ago. Things were handled a little differently then, because we used to have to just go and take our payments to the location. Now, with everything being digital, I picked up the phone, made a phone call, and then went online, and it just took off from there.
The enrollment process was really easy and smooth. We pretty much did everything online. The consultants were very cordial. They had great customer service. Whenever I had questions, I could just pick up the phone and call. Sometimes, they would even call me. I kind of have a busy schedule, so whenever I was able to talk to them, I would. Most of the time, I handled everything for my mom except when it came down to something that I knew I probably need to consult with her with, I would. Everything with NDR went really smooth and as expected. I would refer them to others. It was a great help to my husband and I many years ago, and it was very helpful for my mom.
Compared to when we first used them, there was no charge to get the assistance. I know time has changed, and now, there is a charge to get the assistance. But they did very well as far as the charging goes. Overall, it was a great experience. I feel like everything was managed well, especially with the auto payments. Life happens. We have been living from paycheck to credit card. It's not the best way to live, but this is how we survive. But when you get that credit card and the fees are exorbitant anyway and it keeps going up and you get caught up, debt management is the best way to go and National Debt Relief is the best company to use. I called other companies, but one company took it upon themselves to close all my accounts. I didn't even say, "Okay, do this for me." I let them go and went to National Debt Relief. They were very open and honest. I told them, "This is what I want. I want to keep this credit card. We can deal with this credit card." And that's what they did for me. They didn't take all my credit cards and cancel them because that's not what I needed, and that other company screwed me over because the credit card that I didn't want them to touch was a good credit card and it's already paid.
NDR was very nice and understanding. They didn't condescend. They said, "We have all been broke." They guided me through what would happen, and how it would happen. I never missed any of that money. You know how you get your check and go, "I have to pay this. I'm not gonna have any money for this." I never missed a dime. I didn't even think about it. And when my bills were paid off, I was like, "Okay." When my credit score started going up from zero, I was happy I did it. They did what they said they would.

I just got started with GreenPath, but I wanted to leave a review based on my experience so far. The representative I spoke with was extremely helpful, patient, and considerate throughout the entire process. I was feeling overwhelmed trying to figure out my options, and he took the time to explain everything clearly, answer my questions, and make sure I understood how the program works before making any decisions.
What stood out most to me was that I never felt pressured or like someone was trying to sell me something. Instead, it felt like he genuinely wanted to help me find a solution that would work for my situation. In a world where it often seems like companies are focused on making money, it was refreshing to speak with someone who appeared to truly care about helping people improve their financial situation.
The process was straightforward, transparent, and professional. Every fee and payment was explained clearly, and I appreciated the honesty and patience shown during our conversation. Based on my experience so far, GreenPath seems focused on helping people get back on track financially rather than taking advantage of those who are already struggling. I was in National Debt Relief's program for almost two years. I learned about them on the television and on the radio, and signing up with them was easy. You just got to have all your credit card bills in order. Then, you got to realize you're going to lose them and you're not going to get them back until later on in life, maybe. I had Discover and I put my Discover on there. Once you do that, you no longer have Discover. They don't give you a chance. They close your case, they close your account, and they're taking your payments. These were explained by National Debt Relief's reps and the program helped me a lot. I got rid of quite a few debts and I ended up saving a couple of my credit cards because I didn't want to lose all of them.
National Debt Relief's reps work with you, too. If you can't make a payment, you call them ahead of time, and they'll add the payment in. The representative I worked with was awesome. She was very respectful and she loves her job. You could tell she loves her job to help people. I enrolled with National Debt Relief in July 2022 with approximately $35,600 in unsecured debt (mainly Upstart and Synchrony/PayPal). I was in a difficult financial situation after a period of unemployment and was desperately looking for a way to reduce my debt burden without filing bankruptcy at that time. During the initial sales call, which was recorded, the representative was very reassuring. She specifically told me that my credit score “will organically improve” and “will start to report back to the credit report with a zero balance” as the debts were settled. This statement was a major factor in my decision to sign the contract, even though the written agreement disclaimed credit repair services.
I began making monthly deposits into the dedicated settlement account as required. In February 2023, NDR negotiated one partial settlement on the Upstart debt. After a token $50 payment was made to the creditor, NDR immediately withdrew the majority of their fee ($4,085.59), leaving the account almost empty. Subsequent smaller fee withdrawals continued. The Synchrony debt was never settled. My settlement account was repeatedly drained, leading to overdraft fees from my bank.
I stayed in the program for over two years, continuing to make payments even as my credit score deteriorated due to the required stoppage of payments to creditors. By November 2024, I finally withdrew from the program after realizing the fees had consumed roughly half of what I had paid toward settlements. The program left me in worse shape than when I started, with serious delinquencies, charge-offs, and a denied credit card application specifically citing the “serious delinquency” caused by this process.
I paid a total of $5,551.73 in fees to NDR and received almost nothing in return. I am now forced to file Chapter 7 bankruptcy to get a fresh start. This experience has been extremely stressful and financially damaging. This company preys on desperate people with misleading sales promises while delivering very little actual debt relief for the high fees charged. I have filed complaints with the BBB, CFPB, and California Attorney General. I strongly advise others in financial trouble to avoid National Debt Relief and seriously consider other options, including going straight to bankruptcy counseling or filing if the numbers don’t work.
Thank you for reaching out about your concerns. We see that you spoke with us today but will be doing a deeper dive into your program to be able to better assist you. A member of our team will be giving you a call as soon as possible.

I am submitting this complaint regarding a company operating as a debt consolidation and/or debt settlement service, which also represents itself as a law firm based in New York. I enrolled in their program with the understanding that they would negotiate and settle my outstanding debts in a timely and effective manner, in exchange for a percentage-based fee contingent upon successful settlements.
However, my experience has been materially different from what was represented: The company collected approximately $6,500 from me within a short period of enrollment. Despite these payments, only one account was resolved, totaling approximately $800. The company claimed to have “settlements” on 4 out of 12 accounts, yet minimal or no meaningful payments were made toward those accounts. The majority of my funds appear to have been retained by the company as fees rather than applied to my debts. Significant delays in negotiations resulted in increased balances due to accumulating interest and penalties. Based on my experience, I believe the company may have engaged in deceptive and/or unfair business practices, including but not limited to:
Charging or retaining excessive fees without achieving meaningful debt resolutionMisrepresenting the timeline and effectiveness of their services
Failing to act in the best interest of the client while continuing to collect payments
I cancelled my participation in the program within a few months due to lack of progress and concerns regarding their conduct.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Your feedback has been sent to the appropriate party who will be able to assist you.

He was very nice and considerate as well. We talked for a very long time before he signed me up and he explained everything in detail. It was a very pleasant conversation. They gave me an online site and I had difficulties navigating those websites, so I mostly relied on phone calls. I would call them when I had some questions and they would always answer me.
I'm now paid off. I got out of that awful debt I got myself into and I've learned a great lesson from it. National Debt Relief made the process so much easier for me. If I knew somebody that needed them, I would definitely recommend them. Going that far in credit card debt without doing something about it, that was my biggest draw. I learned to stop overspending on the most part. I do not own a credit card now and I never will own a credit card again. I decided to put $100 a month aside in a debit card and use that for whatever I want. If I don't have money in it to buy what I want, I wait till I can build it back up. That's the only way I could figure out that I could buy what I want and still not take it out of the household money. I'm responsible for all these bills I got, so I need to be more smart about it.

So far only 3 resolutions in 4 months. Not too happy. I have a creditor threatening to sue me, and do many creditors phone calls daily. I feel defeated. I was under the impression it would be resolved faster.
Hello,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand your concerns regarding the time it is taking for additional settlements, but would like to remind you that we advise that negotiations typically begin 4-6 months after enrollment to allow for funds to build to pay the settlements. Your 3 settlements in 4 months is already ahead of schedule! A member of our client success team will be giving you a call to review your program and concerns.

National Debt is a good company trying to help people. It just is a slow process. They should be the company to give you the loan things could go faster. And not to have a saving account. The longer it takes the lower your credit score goes down.

National Debt Relief was easy to get into, easy to use, and if you got with the right customer service rep, they are knowledgeable. The application process was a little long and outdrawn, but it went smoothly. NDR contacted me and it took a couple of hours. Some of the reps were very helpful and knowledgeable while some of them weren't. Also, some of them were hard to understand on the phone. Their English wasn't the greatest. Some of them spoke super fast and I couldn't understand them so I had to tell them to slow down and repeat it, and they would get upset with me. But the ones I could understand and worked with me were very knowledgeable.
Towards the very end of it right when the government shutdown happened in October, I called to see if I could stop payments for a month or two. The person I dealt with said, "Yeah, that's no problem." I figured it would be put on the back end of my loan. Right after I started paying it back, they said, "You owe us 600-some dollars." NDR didn't explain that well. And when I was paying it off, I made that a point on everything. But that was the only negative that I had about the whole thing. The person that helped me right at the very end was willing to work with me. I paid it off a year in advance. Go for it.

The enrollment process with National Debt Relief was easy and simple. I talked to more than one of their reps, and they got that beautiful accent like Florida accent. They did made me feel comfortable. At first, I was excited I was getting a big refund, but I did realize I was not. Still, I was satisfied. I delayed a payment, and they were patient. Also, I get full access of their website. I can check anytime I want.

I was pleased with the expediency of National Debt Relief in making settlements with my three credit cards. It took exactly a year, which was great that they made settlements with all of them. The enrollment process was lengthy, but needed to be known. They asked me about what my monthly pay was and then all my outgoing payments to see what I could afford to make the payment. At one point toward the end, I had some money in the bank, and I knew I wasn't going to need it because I only had one credit card left. What I had in the bank was more than what I needed. So, I asked them if they could discontinue pulling out my withdrawal, and they did. It was good.
Every time I called National Debt Relief, the reps were very kind, respectful, and patient. They made a plan to pay off in monthly payments but I told them that I had the money in the bank and to just pay them off in one payment. They accommodated me because I wanted to get it done. So, they were very accommodating and pleasant. They congratulated me in an email. It was a wonderful experience. I'm very pleased with it.

I want to share my experience so others fully understand what they may be signing up for. When I enrolled, I believed my debts would be negotiated based on the balances at the time I joined. That’s not how it has played out. Instead, I’ve seen settlements calculated after balances have grown significantly—while I was instructed to stop making payments. For example, one of my accounts originally had a balance of about $1,500. Recently, I was presented with a settlement offer of $1,109, plus a $235 fee. At the same time, I was told the balance on that account had grown to over $2,200.
After being in the program for about three years and paying over $500 per month, this pattern has been consistent. The balances increase over time due to missed payments, interest, and fees, and the eventual “settlements” don’t feel as beneficial as expected—especially after adding the company’s fees. It’s also important to understand the credit impact. You are instructed to stop paying your creditors, which can significantly damage your credit score.
My advice to anyone considering this type of program: make sure you fully understand how balances can grow during the process, how fees are calculated, and what the realistic outcomes look like over time. Don’t assume the savings will match what you expect at the beginning. I strongly recommend doing thorough research and considering all options before enrolling.
