National Debt Relief helped me. The guy that I spoke to was very helpful. I would think we were like friends with the way that we were talking. That makes it more trusting in the company. The enrollment process was easier than I thought. I used the dashboard. The guy I dealt with even walked me through it to get onto the dashboard. I graduated in the program last month. I had NDR bookmarked on my Safari, so I wouldn't forget what the website was. An app would probably be way easier and more simple to find, but it was easy on the website, it was easy to see how many payments I made and how many I needed and how much I had in my balance.

I was in the program for one year. They were taking over $260 out of my checking account every two weeks. At first I heard from them often, but as time were on I didn’t hear much from them. I looked into it deeper. They charge me multiple times over $230 for settlement fees. They were charging $18 a month for lawyer fee for the bank. Another nine dollars per month for handling fees. Then come to find out it was a 57 month program. And total I was gonna pay just under $30,000. My credit card debt wasn’t much more than that.

I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent experience with the credit application process. When I first began, I was genuinely excited at the prospect of getting my credit back on track, and I approached the journey with optimism. However, after some reflection over the weekend, I decided it would be best to postpone this process for a while.
When I called to cancel my application, I was transferred to a consultant. During the conversation, I explained my decision to pause, but unfortunately, the response I received left me feeling discouraged. The consultant implied that postponing my debt resolution would reflect poorly on my ability to succeed, and I felt an uncomfortable pressure to reconsider my choice. Instead of feeling supported, I felt pushed to listen to their advice, even though all I wanted was to cancel and take a step back for now.
I believe it’s crucial to treat customers with empathy and understanding, especially when they are navigating important decisions about their financial well-being. I wanted to bring my experience to your attention so that future interactions can be more encouraging and considerate. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my concerns.

I checked online for credit card relief, and I found National Debt Relief. They were very comfortable and easy to work with. A lot of times, you hear about these kinds of companies and they're just trying to rip you off. But the way National Debt Relief presented itself made perfect sense. There are other ways to do that, but it was straightforward, very clear and precise.
National Debt Relief has several different avenues. The simplest way was to just go online and look at their responses, but if I had specific questions, I could give them a call. Usually, they would answer right away. It was seamless. I finished the program. I have completed my payoffs and I’m no longer in debt. So, it's been perfect and awesome. I would encourage a person to go to NDR if they've got any debt that they're struggling to pay, and use them because it works. It worked for me.

I couldn't afford the payments anymore. I had high-interest credit cards and I know my credit is hurting a bit, but I don't know what else to do. National Debt Relief will settle your debt for less than what you owe. It's a good program. They were explicit about everything. You could see what fees were taken out, what needed to be paid. It was good all the way around. They try to do everything within two years. But I won some money at the casino. Once I won that, I sent NDR what I owe because I wanted that off my back.

A friend had done the National Debt Relief program and she said they would reduce the debt. So that got me started with them. My program ran for two years and they sent me a monthly statement. The experience was okay and their reps were good. The program helps. But I only had two credit cards that was involved and instead of them paying some on each one, they paid one off before they started on the other one, then the bank that had the card stopped charging me interest in everything. The bank that National Debt Relief paid off last was the one I've been banking with since I've ever had a job and I'm 65 years old. So I didn't like that. I thought they paid some on everything that you had in the consolidation. Also, I don't remember them telling me about the fees and if it was something I had to read, there were pages and pages of the contract, so I probably didn't read it. That would be my own fault though. Other than that, I was satisfied.

So I tried them out and they helped me. At first, my parents made me doubt it, saying that there are a lot of agencies there that can scam you. I enrolled with National Debt Relief in July 2022 with approximately $35,600 in unsecured debt (mainly Upstart and Synchrony/PayPal). I was in a difficult financial situation after a period of unemployment and was desperately looking for a way to reduce my debt burden without filing bankruptcy at that time. During the initial sales call, which was recorded, the representative was very reassuring. She specifically told me that my credit score “will organically improve” and “will start to report back to the credit report with a zero balance” as the debts were settled. This statement was a major factor in my decision to sign the contract, even though the written agreement disclaimed credit repair services.
I began making monthly deposits into the dedicated settlement account as required. In February 2023, NDR negotiated one partial settlement on the Upstart debt. After a token $50 payment was made to the creditor, NDR immediately withdrew the majority of their fee ($4,085.59), leaving the account almost empty. Subsequent smaller fee withdrawals continued. The Synchrony debt was never settled. My settlement account was repeatedly drained, leading to overdraft fees from my bank.
I stayed in the program for over two years, continuing to make payments even as my credit score deteriorated due to the required stoppage of payments to creditors. By November 2024, I finally withdrew from the program after realizing the fees had consumed roughly half of what I had paid toward settlements. The program left me in worse shape than when I started, with serious delinquencies, charge-offs, and a denied credit card application specifically citing the “serious delinquency” caused by this process.
I paid a total of $5,551.73 in fees to NDR and received almost nothing in return. I am now forced to file Chapter 7 bankruptcy to get a fresh start. This experience has been extremely stressful and financially damaging. This company preys on desperate people with misleading sales promises while delivering very little actual debt relief for the high fees charged. I have filed complaints with the BBB, CFPB, and California Attorney General. I strongly advise others in financial trouble to avoid National Debt Relief and seriously consider other options, including going straight to bankruptcy counseling or filing if the numbers don’t work.
Thank you for reaching out about your concerns. We see that you spoke with us today but will be doing a deeper dive into your program to be able to better assist you. A member of our team will be giving you a call as soon as possible.

Everything went well, but I'm not happy about the end result. National Debt Relief has lied to me twice. I asked them for paperwork after the completion of my account. They have told me twice, "We'll send you copies of all the companies that were in your consolidation." We're almost in the sixth month of the year. I still have not said received one piece of paper showing me what was paid off while I paid them $480 every month for however many years. I'm not happy about that. I've asked them for it three times. I was told every time that it takes time to look up all of the accounts that were settled. It doesn't take five or three months to do it. My account was closed out this past March. I still have no confirmation of the business transaction that I did with them. That's not right. That makes them look bad. Are they hiding something or what?

I've had a great experience with NDR. They've been right upfront with me all the way. I make my payments on time every month. And everything's going really well. I'm almost out of debt now. We've already paid off three credit cards. I've got one left and that's it.
They gave me a break for five months. I don't have to pay them the monthly payment for five months, because I graduated to a point where they could give me a break while they're settling the last credit card. Then my payments will start back up in August for this last credit card. Then that'll be it. I'll be done. I’ll be out of debt.
I've had nothing but a positive experience with them on there. Everybody I've talked to has been great. The whole process has been good. The only negative thing I didn't like about the process was that they were collecting 30% interest on me, which I thought was pretty steep. But that's what I would have paid any other way anyway, ‘cause all the credit cards I'm getting in the mail now, they want 30% or more.

National Debt Relief helped me get out of debt. I had a lot of credit card debt and they did a debt consolidation. I gave them all my information and they told me how long that was gonna take, how much it was going to be every month and that I would have to pay every month, which worked out good. The program ran for three years and I completed it last February. We had expected it to take longer but it ended about six months earlier than we had originally planned. What had been around $3,000 ended up being reduced to about $1,700. They negotiated with the creditors to bring it down to something more manageable. When I talk to people and find out that they're in debt, I recommend National Debt Relief.

I would get these ridiculous emails back but nothing progressed. I will tell you what you do as I have now done it for the rest of my accounts. You wait until you start getting settlement offers after 4-6 months of the account being overdue. Contact before 120 days as that is when they charge off the bad debt which is a huge hit on your credit rating. Then call and ask if there are any settlement offers for your account. They will go through your options. That's it! Don't pay for this - you can do it! When I left the program, NDR charged me over $600 in fees. Horrid experience.

I am submitting this complaint regarding a company operating as a debt consolidation and/or debt settlement service, which also represents itself as a law firm based in New York. I enrolled in their program with the understanding that they would negotiate and settle my outstanding debts in a timely and effective manner, in exchange for a percentage-based fee contingent upon successful settlements.
However, my experience has been materially different from what was represented: The company collected approximately $6,500 from me within a short period of enrollment. Despite these payments, only one account was resolved, totaling approximately $800. The company claimed to have “settlements” on 4 out of 12 accounts, yet minimal or no meaningful payments were made toward those accounts. The majority of my funds appear to have been retained by the company as fees rather than applied to my debts. Significant delays in negotiations resulted in increased balances due to accumulating interest and penalties. Based on my experience, I believe the company may have engaged in deceptive and/or unfair business practices, including but not limited to:
Charging or retaining excessive fees without achieving meaningful debt resolutionMisrepresenting the timeline and effectiveness of their services
Failing to act in the best interest of the client while continuing to collect payments
I cancelled my participation in the program within a few months due to lack of progress and concerns regarding their conduct.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Your feedback has been sent to the appropriate party who will be able to assist you.

If I knew somebody that needed them, I would definitely recommend them. Going that far in credit card debt without doing something about it, that was my biggest draw. I learned to stop overspending on the most part. I do not own a credit card now and I never will own a credit card again. I decided to put $100 a month aside in a debit card and use that for whatever I want. If I don't have money in it to buy what I want, I wait till I can build it back up. That's the only way I could figure out that I could buy what I want and still not take it out of the household money. I'm responsible for all these bills I got, so I need to be more smart about it.

National Debt Relief was easy to get into, easy to use, and if you got with the right customer service rep, they are knowledgeable. The application process was a little long and outdrawn, but it went smoothly. NDR contacted me and it took a couple of hours. Some of the reps were very helpful and knowledgeable while some of them weren't. Also, some of them were hard to understand on the phone. Their English wasn't the greatest. Some of them spoke super fast and I couldn't understand them so I had to tell them to slow down and repeat it, and they would get upset with me. But the ones I could understand and worked with me were very knowledgeable.
Towards the very end of it right when the government shutdown happened in October, I called to see if I could stop payments for a month or two. The person I dealt with said, "Yeah, that's no problem." I figured it would be put on the back end of my loan. Right after I started paying it back, they said, "You owe us 600-some dollars." NDR didn't explain that well. And when I was paying it off, I made that a point on everything. But that was the only negative that I had about the whole thing. The person that helped me right at the very end was willing to work with me. I paid it off a year in advance. Go for it.

I want to share my experience so others fully understand what they may be signing up for. When I enrolled, I believed my debts would be negotiated based on the balances at the time I joined. That’s not how it has played out. Instead, I’ve seen settlements calculated after balances have grown significantly—while I was instructed to stop making payments. For example, one of my accounts originally had a balance of about $1,500. Recently, I was presented with a settlement offer of $1,109, plus a $235 fee. At the same time, I was told the balance on that account had grown to over $2,200.
After being in the program for about three years and paying over $500 per month, this pattern has been consistent. The balances increase over time due to missed payments, interest, and fees, and the eventual “settlements” don’t feel as beneficial as expected—especially after adding the company’s fees. It’s also important to understand the credit impact. You are instructed to stop paying your creditors, which can significantly damage your credit score.
My advice to anyone considering this type of program: make sure you fully understand how balances can grow during the process, how fees are calculated, and what the realistic outcomes look like over time. Don’t assume the savings will match what you expect at the beginning. I strongly recommend doing thorough research and considering all options before enrolling.

All the people I’ve talked to at National Debt Relief are very polite and concerned. But the process is taking too long and my credit score has been low for some years, which I hate. I made the wrong decision. I should have grabbed the personal loan. It has interest, but at least it will not ruin my credit score. My husband also freaked out because he wanted to purchase a new car. But he couldn’t because of going through National Debt Relief.
I have no idea what the process is, even though the reps explained it to me. I went into the program because I had no choice and I was thinking three years was not bad. I thought NDR would negotiate with the credit card companies right away. But I needed to put some money in first before they could start another negotiation. I have been seeing my credit score go up, though I’m still dealing with some things. NDR explained that at least the interest has stopped and I’m paying it little by little, which is why my score has been improving. I love the people at NDR and I would recommend them. I just don’t like the process.

National Debt Relief was great with me. They helped me get rid of my debts. Everybody I talked to helped me understand different parts of it. My Amazon and Lowe's accounts, as well as Chase Bank which was the big one, were all paid off. NDR contacted those places and got my amount lowered, and I started paying them. I paid $253 a month for two years. NDR automatically drafted it out of my account every month. I've never had to even fool with it. The only thing I had to do was mark it off on my checkbook every month. The $253 didn't hurt me because it would cost me more than that to make a payment to those different places every month. I just noticed on my checking account two months ago that the 253 didn't come out. I also learned this month that it didn’t come out. It was supposed to come out on the fifth every month. I finally got a text message saying that everything has been settled.

I had an account with Synchrony Bank, and I noticed that every time I made payments, they kept upping it. So, it was doubling my debt. I figured that I was not going to be able to pay it off without some sort of help. Somebody had mentioned debt consolidation and I looked up online and the most recommended was National Debt Relief. So, I gave them a call, and they were able to handle that situation for me. The rep that I talked to asked me questions and I was able to enroll over the phone. He was very knowledgeable. He helped me a lot. He explained how it worked and I felt better about the programs. It was pretty straightforward.
National Debt Relief had lawyers make a deal with Synchrony Bank and it ended up bringing my total down. I made monthly payments twice a month for a year and a half. When I got all that paid off, it raised my credit score. So, I went from poor to good, and I've been doing other things in that time, but that significantly helped me. Overall, my experience was very positive. I definitely have told other people about National Debt Relief.

I chose National Debt Relief to get rid of all my credit cards. That way, I could concentrate on my house bills. It was a high payment. I could barely make it with my household expenses. That was just for me in the house. I had two credit cards that lingered, a Target and a Premier Bankcard. That's why I went on. At first, it was, “Okay. This is what I see. This is the ones that I have that I can't pay.” NDR ran everything. They contacted everybody quickly. I was able to make a payment and send it to them, which helped. Every time I called to check how much longer I had, which ones fell off, and if I had any added on, NDR was always right on it. They never placed me on hold. They help me right then. I would call, and they would go over it. I would write it down. I would review it against what I saw in my bill book.
I now don't have any worries. I just have household bills. I have my cashback credit card. And I have the very first credit card that I got a gazillion years ago. I was able to buy a new car because I didn't have the money to pay $5,500 to my old car. I'm now in a car that is just 10 years old. Insurance is low. And I don't even have my license plate yet for it. My payments to NDR ended not even two months ago. I have told a couple of people about NDR. It's easier. They do all the work. I don't have to worry about the payment. It just comes out. I just have to budget it into my expense account each month and know that amount will come out regardless right away.

My credit card bills were building up. I went past my budget. I was trying to nip it in the butt before it got bad. I sought out National Debt Relief's services. They really tailored the monthly payments to something that's more manageable to help me pay off the debt as where some of the other places that I tried calling were outright putting me in almost a really high range of paying off the debt. Enrolling to their debt consolidation program was fairly simple. It included verifying some of the credit cards once they got my personal information so they can keep track of what all I was trying to get rid of.
What stood out with my experience was the ease of access of making payments and seeing how far along my progress is going. That was one of the bigger interactions with them that I definitely enjoyed. As far as customer support, I received a call from them one or two times because I would forget to move money from savings to checking, and I didn't get charged. One of the calls was checking up on me and making sure I'm not going through any hard times or any other financial struggles, just to see if my monthly payment was still good. The quality of service is great, especially with them being as transparent. I also had access to most of the information they told me on the phone through their website.
Since I'm debt-free now, I don't feel like I have a financial burden right now. If I had a friend who was looking for debt relief or asking about it, I'd definitely say to go for National Debt Relief because they try to keep your best interest in mind and tailor the payment process to suit you and not put you in such a financial strain. Also, their people were easy to talk to. They walked me through the process and made it sound like it wasn't gonna be a harder time on me. It was definitely excellent.

NDR told me I would be out of debt in four years. If I went with their program I did everything they told me to do after a year. The NDR offered me a loan by a company called reach which could pay off the remaining creditors and would prevent any creditors from taking me to court. I felt like I had to do it because I was on the verge of going to court for one of the creditors.
Secondly you also receive multiple automated calls from Matthew for updates to your account and when you call a representative has no idea what’s going on. They’re worthless. I was roped into a payoff by a bank that NDR recommended. Now I have a payment for the next seven years with a high interest rates the program which they told me my credit score would be fixed ARE liars. Don’t go with the national debt relief, find other ways or I’m even considering bankruptcy at this point because I am close to retirement.
