Till the time I was using free service (without opting subscription) all seemed to be fine on the app. The moment I opt for 3 months subscription the problem starts. I was using the app and had started getting responses but a feature to "Verify self - by capturing an image" started creating trouble. At first, no image from the camera was being accepted. After many attempts was able to do so but suddenly after exiting the app again started asking for verification. Tried several times but it reverted back to the old (rejected photo) and repeated, said to retake self pics. I am tired of the same and want Mingle App 2 to compensate me for the same and make good of the wastage of time and money from my end.

This portal should be shut down permanently, it is a disgrace that it actually exists! Looking to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. They are scammers alright as many people clearly have noticed it. Customer Service is non-existent. I reported a profile who sent racially abusing hatred messages towards a ** person (even though I am not), and instead of shutting down his profile, I have got banned from using the site asking for a photo to confirm my identity… The site is full of crap adverts and bombarding you with fake messages too saying ‘Xyz’ is just near you, you have 99+ likes (with all photos blurred and not visible at all), etc. Whoever is running this site is the one that is actually fake and would deserve a thorough investigation by FTC!!

Overall Mingle2 did not suit my needs. When I requested my account to be closed Mingle2 deleted my profile and refunded my original payment. Since then, THEY HAVE CONTINUED TO AUTO BILL ME and do not follow up with my emails to customer service. I get a generic response and a link to a customer service portal which I “am not authorized to access.”

Originally I signed up for this dating app while living abroad in hopes of meeting people. It was very unhelpful. My radius was set to the town I was living in and there were few members within it. Additionally, I was receiving messages from men on other continents. Mingle2 was a waste of my time and is a poor value. Not only have I been being charged for a product I don’t use, Mingle2 has no respect for the value of my time or care for their customers. It is a money making scam.

Updated 11/26/2021: After writing my review here, the account got fixed, I logged in, filled in my information, uploaded my photo, posted on forums, after 5 minutes, I was asked for photo upload for verification. Twice uploaded and both times rejected! And now I can't use the account nor can I deactivate and remove my profile picture and information. This is really crazy...I was told by the admin that my account was fixed.

I have had someone constantly creating profiles pretending to be me on this site. I have reported the profiles using the link to report profile on the profile but nothing gets done. I reported it on the forum and was told I needed to provide a link to the profile for them to deal with it. So I did and it did get banned within an hour.

Only the admins said they couldn’t stop the person creating more fake profiles despite me asking for that single photo that was used every time to be banned from being used. So the fake profiles with the same photo of me continued and I had to post the link to wash one on the forum for them to be banned. Only the admins got fed up of keeping banning these fake profiles so instead decided to ban me saying I was creating fake profiles.

So then I was unable to rejoin unless I verified myself so I thought that might be the end of the person making fake profiles as they couldn’t make a fake one if they had to verify themselves. Only it seems only me has to verify myself and not them as they have still got a profile on the site and I can not post anything on the forum or message anyone on the site. I can not even log into the web site either because you have to verify your email which the admins banned me from the account I’d made using my real email. So well done admins for getting a site full of fake profiles and banning genuine ones.

UPDATED 11/04/2021: Mingle2 customer services, I have e-mailed you several times. Your customer service has done nothing to correct this problem of my account being frozen because of the "real" pictures I have sent. Stop trying to make it look like Mingle2 is concerned or responsible because you are not. Lastly, fix all the fake profiles on your site, the ones that have 60 year olds with a 30 year old picture, or the ones that send people links to sell another website, or the ones that try to get your contact information without even chatting with you.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Would rate them as zero if I could. First, most profiles are fake, many seem to be from people abroad. You can tell because their pictures are fake, age doesn't match photo, or their sentences are broken. Second, I am a real person from the USA, was on the site for months. They kept asking me for a picture so I uploaded one. Months later, they tell me my picture is fake and ask for me to submit another. Several were submitted and all rejected. Note, you can have a profile on Mingle2 without a picture, so they kept asking me to submit one then they tell me there is an issue with it. What complete stupidity. Just go to another dating website, Mingle2 is a big waste of time.

Mingle2 is fake because: there are a few too many attractive or relatively attractive girls, too many girls only have one pic (not that many would do this if real), none of the pics show any geographically-specific backgrounds (check it out)... This is because Mingle2 is after all a real company and they can’t steal pics, so I am guessing they buy them really really cheaply from other countries and tell them to mind their backgrounds, I have only been on for one day but, yes, just like another reviewer said, the way the one girl that responded to me responded to me was not natural... And she said she lived near Tribeca.. Not likely, and - last but NOT least - they have ads for other dating sites on their site people! ???? Who sells ad space to competing companies!

They are all about selling ads and I think getting people to sign up for whatever messaging service the girl is going to ask you to use (the girl I am ever-so sparsely talking to is priming me for that pitch right now)... and of course she’ll conveniently send me a link... so Mingle2 can get the credit.

And Keith keeps say he will weed out fake ads. Ha! It’s ALL fake!!! And it would be a good business model except for the fact that you are wasting people’s... The crime of the century? No. But, me personally, I don’t want to make my fortune like this - by being a leech. .... So how is Keith going to reply to this!? More empty words. I bet a bot (3rd world country cheap labor) is writing those too. ????

I wish I had found Consumer Affairs before I spent $30 USD with Mingle2. This company is a complete scam. I read their replies to other reviewers about how they are fixing the fake profile problem. In just 24 hours I experienced the same social engineering attempts to gain my email, Hangouts, phone number. These fake profiles are part of a criminal conspiracy that the FBI needs to look at seriously. If Mingle2 cannot comply with US consumer law, there will be consequences. In addition, they set your account on automatic renewal for a 3 month membership. In 24 hours I have been contacted by so many fake profiles it is laughable. These women (probably not even women) cannot reply to even the simplest question with a direct answer.

Many of the profiles say they are Catholic, but cannot tell me the name of the parish in their location. Some even change profiles when I tell them they are not local to me, from TN to VA. Many profiles say the lady is **, but the photo is an Asian or Latina women. Most of have incomplete profiles. Two emails I had returned went right into the financial crisis of their life. So many red flags. I do not need these kind of women in my life. I do not need Mingle2 to promote such an awful experience to me again. Absolutely awful, filled with fake profiles, and nothing but lip service from Mingle2. Avoid this website or be sorry.

After a month or more in MINGLE2, they suddenly blocked my account!!! I reported a scammer but they refused to take him down. I finally wrote to someone using the pseudonym Mario, 44 years of age he pretended to be from Harmburg, Hamburg Germany. Found out he was Joseph ** from Germany working in the U.S. living in Houston, his age was 38 years old in the site Tourbar.com, recently in there, from the month of FEBRUARY 2020. He uses Smith ** as a name in HangOut, pretended to be 43 years of age, RESIDING in Dallas, Texas.

I made mentioned this to the Customer Service...Instead of doing something about this scammer, they blocked my account and the MINGLE2 team asked me to take a photo and to imitate it and submit to them...I was messaged, it is to verify if I'm a real person behind my account when I did, they rejected me on 2 accounts. Wow, how come this scammer wasn't taken down on the first time he got reported, on the 2nd, I WAS THE ONE WHOSE ACCOUNT GOT BLOCKED!!! I SUSPECTED MINGLE2 gets accredited for every scam.

MINGLE2 Team blocking my account for no valid reasons seem to affirmed my suspicion all the more. I somehow started contacting them after a surprising blocking of my account but to no avail...Yeah, MINGLE2 is all about nasty money-making scam. What they did to me is both very sketchy and sneaky, something is very wrong in the MINGLE2 site. I have the reason for my suspicions towards their site. Maybe this Mario (aliases Smith ** and Joseph **), he is all over the INTERNET on dating sites, he has twitter and a lot of accounts all over the internet too like Youtube.com, Twitter, Facebook and every media available on the internet. He was asking me for $1'300 but didn't get it from me and he got really damn MAD.

Hmmm...yeah...MINGLE2 is a business like all dating sites, I'm sure they earn a certain percentage on every successful scamming done, how much, I don't know for sure...All I know is MINGLE2 is a landing for SCAMMERS!!! Maybe through scamming people they earn a lot..!! I will try to take a picture imitating the selected photo from their team if I get rejected for the 3rd time, SOMETHING IS SO WRONG with the site. To the future users, please check-out other dating platforms, but if you go to the MINGLE2 site, don't be surprised if you'll get more scammers, most of them use TOURBAR.COM for hook-ups only and it was known for escort business scam. Be very careful and WISE!!! Thank you CONSUMER AFFAIRS for giving me the opportunity to voice-out both my opinions and experiences from MINGLE2. More POWER and SUCCESS to you. I remain!

I tried to log into my account from my cellphone and there was a popup message with a picture of a woman and the message was that I must take a selfie that matches the picture in order to log in but no matter how many times I tried to do that it said it doesn't match because the gesture has to be identical...well dah of course it won't match because we are NOT the same person, what's more frustrating is that they do not even provide an alternative method of verifying that you are a real person (because that's the reason they state there for that silly request to pose as a person I'm not and expect me to match that), I mean there is no link they refer you to if you are unable to match that photo, there is NOTHING ELSE YOU CAN DO other than to try and match a person's picture that you don't even know.

I take it that that's their way of saying they don't need my account active anymore, I have inboxes I can't read, I just see the notifications all because of this senseless request to first match a photo of someone else. I sent them an email using their "Contact Us" option but no reply....just great. This site has very poor service. I'm sorry. IT'S A BIG NO FOR ME IF THIS IS HOW THEY OPERATE.

After 7 weeks of using the site to search for even just a date, literally 100% of contacts made in my experience were fake profiles created by users to lure you into sugar dating gift card requests from these so called "single" ladies and not a "single" one has gone anywhere but the same end, mostly out of state profiles wanting to chat and ask for electronic funds. Usually gift cards. I even have multiple screen shots of the sites opening page showing the same pictures of the same girls but with different profiles names. Sometimes hair or makeup is altered and info is not the same person. This tells me the site is mostly automated and also not monitored by either adequate autosoftware or actual human employees. This site in my opinion and experience is worse than a joke. I can usually tell fake picture and profiles. The profiles on this site are pretty much non existent. That’s if anyone actually answers the sparse questions they put up. Rest assured, no man that makes 100k Or more is going to put that info out on a site like this. It also amazes how suddenly every 18 to 40 year old, sexy looking, bare chested w/ banging abs is madly in need of a 62 year old female. Boggles the mind. Now I do t look my age but I certainly do not look like someone who would attract that age group.

It’s a waste of time unless you’re looking to get scammed. Guys? Trust me, you are not the only ones being scammed by young, hot looking people. It’s happening to all of us. Sad really. So many people wanting to just meet someone they can maybe build something with. Instead the world stays lonely because this crap is allowed to grow.

I have been a member in the past and have always been concerned about the ease with which ANYONE can become a member "in 30 seconds" - their claim to fame. I joined again last month and found what I had seen previously - pictures of women that had been heavily 'photoshopped' or a series of pics that didn't match or pics that did not even match the profile descriptions. Recently, I have been very troubled by the influx of 'women' claiming to be 'in their 20's' but anyone could see that they were not even 18 yo! Makeup cannot hide children's faces.

I have reported this to them a number of times when I see a questionable photo but I'm not sure if they know the gravity of this "child trafficking". I have suggested that they find SOME way of pre-screening potential members. I even found a company in the UK who does that for dating services, but that was last year when I told them of that and really little has changed. It seems that "the numbers game" is more important to them than members' concerns.

I joined to meet real people, hopefully in my area, and with whom I shared interests. Although it seemed to be gong well at first, I quickly picked up on a few suspicious aspects of the site. I found that there were quite a few profiles with unusually attractive men claiming to be having difficulty finding women to date. The profile often did not seem to match with the person to whom I was speaking, either in location or other details. Also, it frequently seemed that the individual on the other end was foreign, even though their profile had them identified as American. Broken English messages are numerous on the site.

As mentioned in other reviews here, I also came across several men who claimed to be in the military; however, they would comment on things that did not make sense with regards to military service. I am also curious as to the image the person on the other end is seeing, especially if I am seeing a stolen or surreptitious image on my end. No one ever asked me for money or any other compensation, nor did anyone solicit inappropriate activity. Long story short, you get what you pay for, and in my case it was a whole lotta nada.

First of all, the scammers are so easily identified that the company could, if they wanted to, make a program to weed them out automatically. Secondly, the only real people I have spoken to are in another country or on other side of the US, contrary to what their profiles say. And, these are not scammers and they have no idea why their profiles say that. I have had users send me pics of their profile and when compared to the profile I see, they are always listed as close to me. These are not scammers. The conclusion is obviously that the website itself is doing this. I have brought it up in the forums only to be blocked and given the same robotic answer.

What the people at Mingle2 seem to have a hard time grasping, people get tired of reporting. They come to your site in hopes of meeting someone. But instead, are swamped with fakes. 95% of the people on the site are fake. I was there before all the fakes and scammers came along. Before they came along the site was pretty much dead. Hardly anyone ever signed in. About the only thing this site has going for it are their forums. If they had no forums they would have no site. If Mingle2 did away with their forums like POF and others have, the site would be no more.

People do not come to your site with the idea of sitting and reporting one fake after the other. People do not want to sit and report 100 fakes or more before they can find someone to talk to that is real. Real people are leaving your site just about as fast as they join. They come on site and see what kind of mess it is, leave and never come back.

I've seen many in the forums asking about how to get their money back. I can't in good conscience tell anyone to pay to be on your site. I've been there a long time just on the forums. I know what kind of mess it is. So, when I see someone in the forums ask about the benefits of joining Mingle2, I don't lie to them. I tell them to keep their money in their pocket until they see how they like the site. Usually, within a few days, they are either gone, or they have decided against paying. Within a few days, some figure it out. If you want better reviews, you need to figure out a better way to keep more of the fakes off your site. Because the system you have now just isn't working.

I am an older woman, divorced, been on this site two and a half months, paid for being a member. I am a prime target for scammers. Some of the stories are laughable that I get told, although I put on my profile that I am constantly busting scammers and I don't send money or anything else, they don't read it. I feel I am now busting people instead of meeting anyone genuine.

Each man that writes I now I check to see if their pictures are line, I am not from the States but google the town they are from for places of interest and ask a lot of questions about places, a detailed account of what they do. This is usually enough as they won't answer, change the subject and ask you questions. When all else fails I speak to them on hangout. Once I hear the African accent or something else that doesn't fit I curse them and "**" them off. I am getting tired of this time consuming stuff, so it will be goodbye soon from me. The site should ask for ID when registering that would help someway but then ID can be stolen too.

This is a free site. You can search and message w/o giving up your credit info. There's a lot of racy profile pics along with pose shots of ** actresses appearing as profile pics. The fake profiles tend to really notice when you're online, they hit you up telling you that you're sexy and such. There's always an extreme age difference, even for a dude like me who halfways specializes in age difference dating.

They'll ask you right off to move over to Hangouts or WhatsApp. To anybody who knows the red flags of internet dating, Mingle2 is thick on the sketchiness. The users behind these kind of profiles aren't proficient enough in their English so to me it's a dead giveaway the profile is a fake. Another giveaway is they will say they are (whoever) "by name". For example it'd be like me saying, I am Bill by name, and blah blah blah. In spite of all the rampant BS on Mingle2 I still saw quite a few genuine appearing women users. I complimented some of them and they gave an appropriate reply. I give weight to a profile with a normal looking person in the profile and seeing that they actually filled out their profile.

"I've been on Mingle2 over a year now. As I was attempting to find a REAL Girlfriend, ALL I ever gotten was profiles from like...22, 24, 26 year old Girls who for whatever reason think that a young, U.S. Female NEEDS to show her body online. Almost every single so-called "Woman" on there is in fact, a SCAMMER... As I found out, they actually used many, many of my own friend's Pics off Facebook to place a fake profile. An equally unheard of amount of these Scammers are actually thinking that a real U.S. Male is going to believe that these Women on here are in fact, real. They're NOT. They also say in their own profile, "Need a sex partner"...(Written that very way)... They NEVER ever take the time to even look over your profile, I'd seriously blocked a certain so-called "Female" OVER a dozen times, yet she's (It's) STILL able to casually "View" my profile.

An unheard of number of these Scammer profiles have many, many profiles of the same Woman featured, but from different States, and Cities online SIMULTANEOUSLY... I'd requested that every one of them send me a message with more than a single misspelled word: "hi"... They ARE a front for Online Prostitution, being that they ALL want to "SexChat" with you, after you'd submitted your Credit Card info... They never speak in a full sentence, it's almost always barely 5 or so words. ALL of which are poorly misspelled... I even told the Administrators there that if they did NOT cease, and pull every one of those Fake profiles off there, I would report them as such, an Online Prostitution Site.

NOW, when I even attempt to sign in, I get the message that the Website uses an "Outdated" system, and before then it was a completely different message that I would get upon trying to Login... With ALL the bad reviews of a well-known Scammer Dating site, WHY hasn't the U.S. Government SHUT them DOWN, and remove this Scam filled site from the internet?? I'm beginning to believe, sincerely, that whoever is running this site KNOWINGLY allows this to happen. Why else would a Dating site feel the need to Advertise OTHER dating sites on its own page, if in fact it was an authentic Dating site?? If the U.S. Government can seriously BLOCK certain content from the internet, WHY haven't they (The U.S. Government) seriously BLOCKED "Mingle2" from being viewed here in the U.S.??

The Moderators there are in it, as much has the Scammers that fill that Website. I mentioned before, in my Profile, that every single one of those so-called "Women" ALL hold their Phone-Cam in the precise, same hand and manner, with their Fingers spread out like a Starfish, and I even complained to the Website, that the Women on there don't need to show their completely Nude body to get a Man, NOT online, NOT in real life. I also told them that absolutely NOT a single young Girl between the ages of 18 to 26 from the U.S. would ever, ever show their Bodies online on any "Dating" site... I mean...SERIOUSLY.

If "Consumer Affairs" can't get the Government to "Block" viewing in this Country of this Site, (This Content is Blocked from viewing in your Country), then I highly, highly suggest that the I.R.S. get involved, and Audit them for Tax Evasion because of non-claiming "Earned Income" from online "SexChats", Investigate them thoroughly. As to exactly how many real Profiles there are on there by literally CONTACTING these People by PHONE NOT Email because an Email doesn't have a Voice attached to it but a Phone call does, and forcibly delete each and every single profile on there.

It's literally appalling the amount of Money lost through this site's so-called "Female" members, Males included. I could run a Dating site, much, MUCH Better than these Scammers could. They use **-Star pics, they steal Pics off of Facebook, (I KNOW that. They're actually using a few of MY Facebook "Friends" Pics) and GET THEM OFFLINE, SHUTDOWN, and then thoroughly Prosecuted to the FULLEST extent of U.S. Laws and Regulations... This has been an ongoing problem for years with this Website, and the unbelievable amount of Complaints should, in fact, be adequate to SHUT THEM DOWN... It doesn't Matter what Country they're out of...U.S. Laws regarding Online content and what's "Viewed" in this Country should be enough.

I'm tired of even the Consumer Affairs Dept. allowing this to continue for many, many years. I don't really care if it's a "Free" site. It could cost literally $1,000's to join, and by the first 5, YES, I said that, the very first 5 Complaints BLOCK them from coming online here... Online "Safety"?? That's a JOKE... There's absolutely NO such thing as "Online Safety" in this Country because even the Federal Government allows this type of ** to occur... GET THESE INDIVIDUALS OFFLINE, and BANNED here in the U.S.

YES, I'm a REAL Member there, my first Profile Was "**", ( Which was Blocked because I called them Scammers), my next Profile there was "**", (Which, again I was Blocked from logging into because I called out several of these Scammers) and this Profile I've been BLOCKED from logging into is, "**"... Along with Blocking and Banning them from view in the U.S., they (The U.S. Government) needs to Prosecute them for Identity Theft, because of using unsuspecting People's Photos and likenesses to Extort Financial gains associated with Scamming... Go right ahead... Check me out on there. I just gave you my 3 Profiles I'd been locked out of for calling them Scammers and Online Prostitutes...

In conclusion, the United States Government NEEDS to Ban this Website from ever, ever being viewed in this Country. If the Government would actually do its job and protect the Citizens of this country from Overseas Fraud, and Money Laundering (IT IS Money Laundering by proxy of sending Financial gains through another to another without TAXES and Tariffs being paid) after ALL the Verifiable complaints on this Site, that would be magical.

If they are real and are in America, they don't read your profile. I actually tested this by asking for the messages to start with a keyword. Out of 113 emails, two read my profile. If you report people or use methods to screen out waste of time messages, they block your IP address, like they did mine. TOTAL SCAM OPERATION, NOT EVEN A REAL SITE. I was blackmailed months ago by a creep trying to extort me for money after they convinced me to send them nudes and a video of me. They failed, I didn’t comply. By the way, they steal pics of people and pretend they're in the army or military. This one was a moron. When I first started talking to them, they had their profile listed that they lived in New Mexico and was in their 20's. When we started talking, I brought this up and then they said they were 33 and lived in Denver, Colorado (1st red flag I ignored cause I was vulnerable at the time), thought it was a possible mistake.

On top of that, their number (at least the area code) said they were located in Nevada. 3 inconsistencies right there! 1. Different age 2. False info on their profile 3. Number revealed actual location. They themselves actually slipped up on their actual location and gave me false promises on taking me to “Las Vegas”, and said other absurd things which indeed indicated they were familiar with Nevada.

I told them (at the time) I was 21 years old, and from the beginning I was skeptic then they tried to do reverse psychology and said I had trust issues. Then I told my family about this and they said not to speak to my family about them... That was another warning sign. They are experts at manipulation cause this creep got me sending nude pics and a video which a week after blocking them, they texted me from another number with a MICHIGAN area code, threatening to post them if I didn’t “follow their terms”. I held my ground and blocked that number along with the first one. I didn’t send them a red cent, since then- no more contact. Luckily I deleted my profile way before the threats came in so they literally had nothing on me but bluffing scare tactics.

This is really sad cause they are identity thieves too. They gave me a fake name which is not even theirs but an elderly woman's name cause I researched the name and it belongs to a woman in her 50's, located in Colorado and it is the only person with that specific name they gave me. This creep said they were a woman in her 30's, so I guess when I was persistent about proof of identity, they quickly stole a name they found and lied to me which I was smart enough to research and found it belongs to someone else.

I don’t know who I was talking to but that was not their name, they were not the woman in the multiple pics they sent me and I don’t even believe it was a woman to be honest. I'm not revealing the name they gave me for the real person's privacy and protection but it’s TERRIBLY sad. They use other people’s identities unbeknownst to them to commit crimes on the internet. I reported it to the internet crimes people and gave them all the info I could but I haven’t heard back from them since filing the report. I guess it’s not worth their time. I guess I’m REALLY lucky I got out of that one without losing a nickel. Never again will I be so foolish.

Since I joined and would give me email, I have had nothing but spam in my email mailbox. This has been very frustrating. Not enjoyable at all, but I never seemed to totally give up, and to this day I am still using the site.

I have had maybe 3 real conversations with young ladies on the site. Didn't lead to anything but were refreshing. Out of the free online dating sites, I have narrowed myself down to just using Mingle2 and Tinder. If you have a lot of time on your hands look at different young ladies' profiles. Pass time easily, but as far as meeting someone special it has not been the case for me. For over 2 years now, I have belong to many different pay dating sites. Some I have had as many as 150 letters a day. (I can only pay attention to about 7% of these anyway) Believe me... Pay or not pay, you still have scammers. Scammers exists everywhere, whether it's dating sites, or online auto dealerships. So of course Mingle2 has their fair share also. But it's been my personal experience that Mingle2 has done a pretty damn good job of working to get rid of these kind of people... How many times have you gone to a girl profile and seen the words "Profile has been deactivated."

Believe me, lots of times it was Mingle2 that deactivated that profile. I have reported many, and watched the administrators work at investigating and getting rid of these people. But it seems to be an endless battle. If you want to have a clean and relatively scam free dating website, then you have to do your part, report these people to administrators. All over the website are places to do just that!

These people are liars and create phony profiles faster than Mingle2 can keep up with them. So I suggest doing your best at weeding these people out with your own personal profile. You let them know that you're not going to be someone's sugar daddy. Let them know you're not going to be paying their rent or anything else. "Do your due diligence." Out of over five hundred contacts with presumed single women sent and three hundred so called matches only about 50 actual communications with matches were made. Out of these ALL but 3 were scammers asking me to send money for one reason or another, asking me to pay money for sex or directing me to alternative websites to disclose my credit card information. Using stock photos of models and pretty women to entice men to respond by who knows who, it's a complete scam. Almost all respondents replied with broken English typing with Spanish or Russian overtones. Now the site has blocked me from access. What a joke!

I had a conversation with a young lady on Mingle2 dating site, within the confines of my personal messaging system via my acct. (One **, 21 of Grand Island, NE.) At one point I was asked if I was perhaps Apostolic, to which I replied that I was in fact not; but non-denominational. She was displeased with this reply so I attempted to patiently and gracefully affirm that I mean no offense, stated that I had no issue with the Apostolic Creed or tenets as they were scripturally sound and reflected the general Christian faith. I went to great lengths to attempt to diffuse the situation with kindness, patience and explanation both of my support for the Apostolic community and clarifying what non-denominational approach actually means. Apparently she became too frustrated that I was not going to convert to Apostolicism; and she blocked me from further PM/conversation. 1:57 AM, 10/16/16.

I really didn't care about being blocked, it was not a huge issue; if that's how she felt and thought she should respond then that was her prerogative. However, when I switched tabs to check on my social media sites affiliated with the ministry, and ministry site itself; I found she was hard at work posting slanderous accusations, assertions, and deceptions regarding our conversation in attempt to compromise me, or the ministry, or my lack of willingness to convert to Apostolicism.

Next, I tried returning to Mingle2 site to bring up our actual conversation thread so I could copy/paste the true interaction in response to the outlandish behavior, assertions, and general misrepresentation of my actions/words posted by the young lady on ministry affiliated sites, publicly. Yet, I found that when I was blocked from communicating with her, it also blocked my access to the already posted conversation thread. I had no access to retrieve what I'd actually said. 2:12 AM 10/16/16.

Next, I drafted an email for the administration, (hereafter referred to as ADMIN) of the Mingle2 site; to request either access to the thread, (even if the communication block remained) or to be sent/emailed a copy of the thread, or communication/conversational transcript. I included some statutes relative to a person's rights of ownership of their personal communications in order to establish a foundational basis for the request and their facilitation of it.

I included the cause for my need, (the young lady's slanderous actions) as well as qualifying my need for such; given the ministry, my role, and fact that I was a published author with two works on the global market. Thus the need for transparency and proof of character in light of the assertions made. Lastly, I affirmed that I wished to avoid litigation and was trying to offer Mingle2 a reasonable opportunity to cover their own tails basically before pursuing litigation. 3:12 AM 10/16/16.

In response several things occurred: This was their reply- "I do not see where the person has threatened you or harmed you in any way. Taking legal action just because you were blocked? That is hardly a crime. If you wish to pursue this, then we will provide the information to Law enforcement upon receipt of a legal subpoena." 7:50 AM 10/16/16. At 9:52 AM on 10/16/2016 I found that my account on Mingle2 had been erased as if it had never been. At 1:27 PM they sent me an email to Activate my new account, in lieu of the one they deleted; which had much of the evidence against them. At 1:54 PM (same day) their support staff deliberately blocked my attempts to contact; and at 4:42 PM (same day) claimed they had neither deleted the original account or blocked the email.

Next I composed a much longer, more detailed email with the exact statutes related to the issue at hand, copied and pasted from a verified online source; and thoroughly established the legal foundation for my request and their obligation to facilitate. Though I had plenty between evidence of their improper, unethical and illegal actions; I reaffirmed that I wished to avoid litigation if at all possible and asked a final time for the evidence of my side at least of the conversation-but was again denied. 1:27 PM 10/16/16, This is when I said "fair enough, I did all within my power to avoid litigation. May God have mercy on your soul." (Since then I have been seeking legal counsel and representation, preparing and compiling evidence for a thorough case file.) 5:06 PM 10/16/16.

The site might be free, but the site's User Interface is rather pathetic. As for the "dating" part of the site, don't bother. The website has low traffic. I'm in the DFW area, and saw maybe 5-12 new profiles per day for people in my dating range, within a 50 mile radius. Even if extended to 100, I didn't have much of an improvement. Like any free dating site, they are heavily loaded with scammer and fake accounts. The website is heavily loaded with abandoned profiles, and you have virtually no way of sorting profiles based on their last login time. They also don't do anything to clean out old profiles. So your search might give you 3k-5k profiles (if you set your search criteria really really wide), but maybe 40 will have been online in the last week.

Also... the site is rather quick to pull the trigger on deactivating profiles, as well as blocking IP addresses for 24 hours, due to suspected botting behavior (ha ha ha ha ha... if they actually would stop bots and spammers and scammers). The site does let you hide unwanted profiles (i.e.: you don't want to date someone who smokes or doesn't want kids). But if you mass click, after a period of time, the site will consider you a botter, the site will block your current pc/laptop's IP. In conclusion, don't use. Yes it is free, but you'll waste a week of life finding nothing. In 3 weeks of usage, I'd say I found 4 people who were "real" to chat with, only 1 of those go to offsite texting... and even then she said she wouldn't meet any guys she met online... (and she never mentioned that in her profile or during the rest of our conversations?)

The plethora of dodgy ads for big busted Russian, Latvian, "Asian" (ie Chinese) women who are dying to leap into your bed, after you have spent a few grand I suppose, adds a small splash of variety to this otherwise unimaginative site. Initially, a Mingle2 administrator locked my account for no apparent reason. But, after they determined I was a "human" and wasn't doing any spamming, they gave me a code number that I used to unlock my account. Now, all functions are apparently back to normal. Thank you ConsumerAffairs.com. You're the most reputable service on the net for humans like me.

    Original Review: April 1, 2016

I've been a member of Mingle2 for quite a while. As most of us know, there are many fakes on that website asking for money. Nevertheless, I've always been polite with everyone and used the Mingle2 email properly. But, all of a sudden, I began getting messages from an "administrator" wanting to confirm that I was a "human". Please don't laugh. Allegedly, this was to prevent spamming. The messages popped up each time I tried to send an email. Then, after a week or so I received a message from the "administrator" congratulating me that I wasn't doing any spamming! She went on to say that my account had been "cleared" and all functions were back to normal. But, I quickly discovered that wasn't the case at all. My account remained virtually unusable and I was unable to send or receive emails, instant messages, nudges or smileys. My friends even told me my account was invisible!

This kind of thing happened before and was only fixed when I called one of the managers in San Francisco to assist me. It's nearly impossible to contact them by the way, unless you're very lucky. The technical support people are no help in these situations. They caused my account to be ruined by their improper actions and then falsely accused me of spamming. Mingle2 is a free, but I've had to put up with a lot of fake profiles and extremely poor customer service to be a member.

Updated on 4/3/2016: I recently filed a complaint about Mingle2 that wasn't resolved, even though the Mingle administrators said my account was cleared and I would be able to use it without difficulty. However, nothing could have been further from the truth. My Mingle2 account doesn't work anymore at all and what's worse, I discovered that all my personal photos and private information were transferred to another dating website without my permission. And, that website requires a sizable payment to join! I'm not an attorney, but I believe this is obviously a bait and switch operation which is illegal under California and US Interstate Commerce Laws. Mingle2 apparently believes they are entitled to entice their customers with "free memberships" and then secretly transfer all their personal photos and private data to other websites that require payments to join.

I have received messages mainly from Americans and other overseas countries from men who said they were soldiers, working in Afghanistan, or working for UN as a surgeon - using other peoples pics. Have read posts from users and their negative experiences. Mingle2 Admin are wonderful in giving information on dangers, scammers, what not to do (give money to anyone online etc), to meet people in public and tell someone where you're going and what time you are going and not to meet in private for security reasons etc - great Admin. Some men from overseas have wanted me to help them look for property in Australia as they wanted to be near me. When I asked where they wanted to live - in what area - what about their family, job etc, they were going to transfer here I suggested they look at real estate sites and it was their responsibility to find a home for themselves and have their own finances - they were not happy.

I did not reveal where I lived - only area which I'm beginning to think I shouldn't have done. I have been asked to help people come to Australia and I will not be scammed. I have told people I am not a bank. Have read so many messages of people telling me they love me and want to be with me, marry me etc and they haven't even met me, seriously. They expect me to help them financially, move in with me in my home which I won't allow, particularly for anyone I haven't even met or had any kind of real time friendship! I don't think so.

I haven't met anyone respectful and genuine on this website at all from my country and I won't be used to bring a stranger here. I have blocked so many people because of foul language, disrespect, abuse, harassment, not taking no for an answer. Men don't read my profile where it is stated I'm looking for a guy in my own country - Australia and not interested in anyone overseas at all, very clear. The filters I have placed are no drinkers or smokers, no one looking for an intimate encounter - yet I get messages from people like this which is so frustrating. Not acceptable. I have blocked the offending people from contacting me. I hope this helps. Thank you. As I said Admin on Mingle2.com do a great job. It's a pity there are not a lot of respectful, genuine men who use the site.

I signed up for a free account actually thinking that I might find someone. Yes the account is free and you can search for free. After that you have to pay. Some sites do let you know upfront that there are paid services if you should want to use them, however even they fall short of actually allowing you to communicate with a match.

On the whole, I would give these sites a whopping 1% rating. At least they allowed you to join for free. Now for another problem. These sites that I have joined say that it is easy one click to remove yourself from the site. Yes it is one click if you are on the right page, otherwise it could be hours just to find out that to unsubscribe from the site you have to write a letter and send it to a P.O. Box in **, CA and "You will be unsubscribed in 6 to 8 weeks, however please be informed that until your account is closed by our accounting department your credit card will continue to be charged and no refunds are available." My advice to anyone is to stay away from these sites and if you do use dating sites, make sure that you have searched the problem areas first.

When you go on you get several men that will want to chat with you. They all call you "pretty". That's the first giveaway. They all want to have your phone number or you email address or your Facebook address then they proclaim they love you for the moment they saw your profile.

They are never in the city that their profile says they are in. Some are in a different country altogether. Their manner of speech is all the same as if they are texting you from some script. They want you to help them out of some jam by cashing a check and sending them a money card. Of course the check is bogus. They want you to deposit it first or they will ask for your checking account number so that they can get money deposit into your account and you can send it to them. I joined this site in hopes of finding a long term relationship, and within a few days I received a few matches. The first match contacted me, we exchanged emails, telephone numbers and agreed to deactivate accounts to explore this relationship. The match sent me a few photos to my personal email, and also we text messaged each other. Something did not feel right about this, so I decided to investigate and lookup all the photos this person sent me. After my investigation, I discovered that the photos sent were of a model in France who has a different name and location of the person I met on Mingle. Even the telephone number was of a different area code from where this person was located. When I called the number, it went straight to voicemail and the recorded message on the voice mail was of a lady who had a name that was not related to the person I met on Mingle.

This was an obvious scam, and this person was very good and believable at what they were trying to accomplish, but I am not the right bait. Anyway, I decided to reactivate my account and try again. To make a long story short, I ran into more scammers with fake photos and bad English. Perhaps there are real people on this site, but the scammers appears to overshadow them to the point where I can't find them. Be very careful, question everyone, do a reverse photo lookup, don't give out any personal info and tread very carefully on this site as the scammers I have encountered are very crafty and good at what they do. I will keep my profile up to see if I can actual meet legit real person.

I had just agreed onto the site, with 2 photos posted, with a few basic stats. I had not written ANY specifics or interests at all, and letter started coming in about my "fascinating" profile. Sure, this occasionally happens. But, then every letter was written in elaborate broken English, asking for contact information. Every person was not living or working where they were listed, and all had some sort of foreign status. It's possible these are real people looking for immigration assistance. I have zero doubt the priority selecting is fraudulent. Do NOT waste your time or worse risk sharing any data with them. The language of the letters is clearly foreign, with patterns in the way they ask to "continue communications more completely." Wasted evening... words to the wise. Report!

I have been on Mingle for about three years... I actually only view the profile every once in awhile. Recently I have been contacted by several women. All were 1/2 British (usually the dad) and 1/2 Ghanaian (usually the mom). They had all lived in United States at some point, but their parents one or both have died. Some by sickness, others by car wreck. In the car wreck cases, they lost both parents.

Within 2 days and maybe exchanging half a dozen emails, they were in love. I was the man of their dreams. All this after I clearly and explicitly explained that I had been single for a couple years, and wasn't in a rush to get in a relationship. That I am moving slow and easy. In any event, they began to hint around if not just outright ask for money. Of course, they all got very upset when I refused. I refused because, as I told them, "I know nothing about you." The worst one was one who asked for money within the hour.

I have also run across different accounts that claim to be different people, live in different states, but amazingly have the same profile photos. If you notice all these really hot chicks from Ghana and the highly professional quality of their photos. Two accounts that stood out were ** and **. One is from Tennessee, and the other is Kentucky, and have all the exact same photos in their profiles. The influx of scam/spammers out of Ghana has gotten so bad. Mingle needs to find and implement a better screening process!

I googled the scam and one said they were with the US Army and needed a fee to get back home to the US. The other was a so-called engineer who the scam goes they are supposed to be on their way once I am in love - of course they would need some money. I joined and within one day had 5 scammers contacting me. The first messages were a little off but then they went in for the kill. Lived in US, worked in Europe or Offshore, widower, no family, desperately wanted a wife, needed help getting something to help them get home, crazy stories. When you asked them questions in general there was nothing but lies. Asked one what the name of the ship was, that he was working on. Batillus class or something like this... quick look on net and this ship Batillus was sold as scrap in 1985 and there is no such thing as a ship having a name ending in class. This was Nigeria scam.

Another said he was from NYC and working offshore and within one week was in love with me. He had a home in Dartmouth, Alberta, Canada. I live in Nova Scotia and am close to Dartmouth. There is no other Dartmouth in Canada and Alberta is on the other side of the country. He insisted I was wrong. Nigeria scam. Another said he was from Ohio and went to this certain Institute and that is where he got his engineering degree. This institute is a company and not a college or university and never was. Nigeria scammer.

Another was born in Paris, came to California (but could not name one place in Ca.) and then moved to UK at 16 and now was back in US. but working offshore. The offshore is good so they can't give out a phone number... you have to give them your phone number and they call you. That way they can't be traced. Of course I didn't give out my number. Another thing is they want you to go to messenger right away so they are not on the Mingle site. That way if their profile gets closed, they can still work on you to get money. The best one was the one who wanted to have his "barrister" call me so he could get these funds to me to help get him of the ship and then when he got here we'd be married. I had three emails with him when this happened. HELLO. Too many scammers. I reported to Mingle2 and we'll see what they do. Will they pull the profile?

If your friends with a moderator you can say pretty much what ya want to others. Seems the moderators are on ego trips cause they are site mods like it's a great accomplish. The moderators read private emails between people. They have a "no christian bashing" policy, yet every other religion or belief is open game. They openly banish anyone who is transgender, transsexual..as you can see from the statement made here. I guess if you just looked at profiles and stayed out of the forums it would be ok. But if you piss a moderator off, you are gonna get crap from everyone else they like. Lots of gossip, I think. The moderators need to grow up.

Yet, they accused me of unspecified violations of their TOS and blocked or deactivated my account preventing me from accessing important emails that may be material evidence in this case. I deleted their cookies and was able to create new memberships so I could conduct further investigations into this outfit. However, each time I emailed a Mingle Supervisor with questions, they refused to reply and locked my accounts. I question the legality of a private company such as this reading the private emails and Instant Messages of its members and using strong-arm tactics which I believe may violate Privacy, Eavesdropping Laws and Malicious business practices under California and Interstate Commerce Laws. I will again attempt to set up a new membership to investigate further.
