My first event with Events and Adventures didn’t go well. I felt nervous and excited before arriving. The event was to go see the Perseid meteor shower and I got there at the beach and it was pitch black. A lot of people came out to the beach to watch and I never actually found the group. So then, I signed up for a hang gliding adventure and I got there and we got fogged out. I also signed up to go to one of those escape rooms but they were filled, so I took myself on the waiting list and then I got a message saying that I had been cleared from the waiting list, which wasn’t really clear. So I haven’t really met anyone or got to know other people and I’ve already spent $2000. I intend to go back on the website and look for an event to go to, but so far, I’m dissatisfied with my experience.

Events and Adventures is for singles to get out and to get to know people in the area. The club tries to do a variety of stuff. Of the four events that I've been to, my favorite so far was the pole dancing class. It was awesome. We also did a wine and bruschetta thing at the restaurant, which was super fun too. I have a 40-and-over dinner once a month but I missed the first one, and then I'm gonna miss the one this month too so I wish that event was more frequent.

The list fills up if I don't sign up for stuff right away. Yet they say to still sign up for it even if I'm put on the waitlist, and that's frustrating. They supposedly have 1,200 people but for most of the events, it's like 20 or under people. So how can that many people be able to do everything? The rep said that even though there are only 20 spots, she always saves some for the new people. So I think it was because I was a newer member that I was able to go to the wine dinner thing. I don't expect, however, to be able to go to another one for quite some time because there are so many people.

Events and Adventures was a cool idea, just everyone meeting up and doing stuff. I was a bit nervous before arriving at my first event, but it wasn’t bad at all. Everyone was super nice. Since then, I’ve been to a handful of events, like movie meet-ups and the bar ones. I’ve met some new friends and added a few of them on Facebook. I’m happy with my experience but I don’t know how much longer I'll be in the club because I can't afford it, because I’m moving and things got tight.

Events & Adventures was organized for singles and it was what I was looking for. A friend of mine joined and he mentioned it to me. I was a little anxious arriving at my first event but other than that, I felt fine. They did a little ice breaker once I got there and it was a good event for me to go first because it was an event for new members. I've already attended 5 events which include a game night and a volunteer event at the food bank. They've been more like get-togethers. I also went to a baseball game 'cause I'm a huge baseball fan and I enjoyed that. I met a couple of people who we run into and are familiar with so I look for them whenever I go to events.

I’m newly divorced, so I’m not trying to be in a relationship right now but I want to meet people and hang out. Events and Adventures had more of the atmosphere that I was looking for. I have met some friends and they think I’m a cool person to hang out with. I talk to everybody, but I see a lot of guys and females that find themselves in situations where they’re not really talking to anybody and nobody is reaching out to them. There should a mentorship with Events and Adventures and have somebody that works in the shadow or something more intense until people get comfortable with everybody there.

I started back in August and I've been to most of the events and trips. I’ve missed a couple, but I went to all of them in August and I went to most of them in September. The bar crawl was the most memorable and I also enjoyed the Fright Fest. We went to a chocolate factory last night and I liked that. I wanted to go to a hot air balloon riding, although it has not come into fruition because of the weather. I also enjoyed the camping we did for Labor Day.

Two of my friends wanted me to join about Events & Adventures. I love the idea of having something to do every single day, meeting people and just getting out there and exploring the city. Even though I was born and raised in Chicago, I loved that they were finding things that I never would've visited in my lifetime had I not joined it.

At first, I was nervous. But the really cool thing that they do is that the host of the event messages you as a new member and tells you what they're wearing, and says, "Hey, we're so excited to have." And for the first month, I kept getting those texts before I went to an event. So I felt so much better about being a part of it and knowing at least one person by their clothing. So the minute I got on my first event, it got a lot better 'cause I met a bunch of people that worked through that. During the summer, I attended 5 events in a week, but I haven't gone on any of the big trips yet because I'm a teacher, and it doesn't coincide well with my schedule. I am now a host too.

I love the rooftop bars, going out there and going to a place where you can mingle all you want with people and it's also not expensive. The other thing that I love is the volleyball on the beach every Wednesday. We would go and play, and I'm horrible. But it's just so fun. We just go out there and be horrible together and have a great time. The events are all so different, and they all are fantastic. So I've yet to have one that bombed.

Everything has been great. The only thing is it's overpriced to join. You have to have the money. Also, they'll sometimes charge $200 for an event. That turns me off from doing that event because it's so expensive. Though granted, it's skydiving and I know that those new things are expensive. I've shared that with our event coordinator too and they take feedback well. He found a lot of events that are free or cost less. Other than that, I'm a firm believer in the group and I recommend it to a lot of my friends.

I saw Events & Adventures on Facebook and it was more like a social group rather than a dating thing. I went to the meet and greet where we learned the rules and we were able to ask anything that we wanted and needed to, which was a good thing. Before going, I was apprehensive, but after I got settled in, I felt that I was in the right place. Sometimes, there are things that sound too good to be true and it’s usually not, so I was very pleasantly surprised. I've also gone to the burlesque event, which was held in a more intimate venue. It was more than our group that went. That was quite interesting, but it felt safe being with a group instead of going alone. I travel alone for work, so I go alone to venues, and I’m comfortable with that. It was a nice trip. The burlesque was amazing and it helped open up the door. Also, it was in a safe environment. The hostess was wonderful and if we had any questions, we could go and ask her, which was cool.

Events & Adventures had something different to offer everyday. When I arrived at my first event, there was a good group of people and I was glad that I joined. I usually average about three events a week and they've all been so different and so much fun. I went to New Orleans, which is completely unlike anything else that we've done, and that was awesome. Since it was a domestic travel, I made my own air reservation. The hotel was great however, it was odd that we had a couple on the trip. It changes the dynamics of a singles travel group when there's a couple. Other than that, there were a few people that I hang out with outside of the events. I really love Events & Adventures. I recommend my friends to join. It's a great way to get out of the house and meet some great people. I'm definitely planning on being a member for a while.

I've been to five events and I've enjoyed skydiving the most. But they should include more more sporting events, like going to baseball games as a group. I've added new people on my Facebook, but I have to keep on going to events to get to know people better.

The first event that I went to by Events and Adventures was rock and roll bingo. Thereafter, I went to the New Member Ice Breaker. Still, the Hungry Hungry Hippos and Parkour Night have been my favorite two so far. I've met quite a few people and have been hanging out with a couple of members outside who have been really nice and caring. Now, I’m looking forward to the unlimited ice cream and cupcake thing that’s listed and I'm trying to use E&A as a way for one of my old buddies to come to Denver. To help E&A grow as a whole though, they need more social media exposure. At the Parkour event, I brought a 360-degree camera and I've live-streamed part of the Parkour Night on Facebook. It was not just a live stream, it was like we were having a party. Sharing something like that to the open social media would definitely give a boost of exposure as far as the networking line goes.

I am single and I like to go out and explore Chicago, and Events & Adventures makes it so much easier. I was a little nervous before arriving at my first event, although I had already met a couple of other people that were gonna be there. Alex was really nice and he introduced me to everybody. I live in Indiana and there were a couple of other Indiana people there. He knew where people were from, so he introduced them to me and it made it a lot less scary.

The New Orleans trip was my first trip and definitely my favorite. It was great how they had stuff planned for us but had time for downtime. I didn't have to find stuff to do on my own while we were there. We had the option not to do the event if we didn't want to, but we did everything that was included because it was really great stuff. It would be hard to top that trip, although I also went camping on Memorial Day weekend, which was my favorite until this one. I've made some great friends out of it. There are people I hang out with outside of the events that are on our calendar and I've had people meet me at a local bar by my house for Bingo. I would recommend Events & Adventures. If you're thinking about doing it, just do it and join.

Events & Adventures was a good idea so I could get out and about. I was interested in getting to know people and doing stuff rather than sitting at home. I was nervous before I went to my first event, but now that I've gone to 20 events, I know most of the people who go there. So far, my favorite event is the Party Bus event which is very memorable. There were a lot of people and it was a lot of fun. I've also done wallyball, top and mini golf, Bocce bowling, and sushi which was good. I’m going to a Trivia Night tonight. There are a couple people that I’ve met that are nice and that I could see myself being friends with, but I haven't reached out yet beyond the events. I really enjoy Events & Adventures and I’ve been there every month. It’s exactly what I was looking for and what I expected when I joined. When I went to my first event with Events & Adventures, I was nervous and excited but that changed once I started talking to people. I've attended more than 12 events, so far, and they are all interesting and special in their own way. I've done the cooking class several times, the swing dance a couple of times, and then some of the individual socials, where it's just a wine bar meetup, wine tasting, to laser tag, and iFLY indoor skydiving. I've made new contacts and grown my network and It's really great when you're learning an area.

I didn't have much of a social group and I wasn't doing anything, just working, going home and going to bed and I thought Events & Adventures would be something else to do with my time. At my first event, I was nervous that I wouldn't fit in and that nobody would talk to me but there were a lot of nice people there and people talked to me. I really liked how different each event was. I also get some events that are the same thing every week, which is nice, because then I have my friend group. The same people always go to the same events. Some events I like better than the other ones for a specific reason but all of them are good.

Some events are specifically for people of certain interest and that's why they go but people have different interests. So there may be two weeks where I may not go to any event because it's not geared to something that I'm specifically interested in. Having something a little bit casual and simple to do, like brunch, that everybody can go would be nice. Sometimes I've been a little confused about what was happening at Events, as far as the cost or what we needed to do as people attending the event. There has been some miscommunication errors. The company should give more detail on what's going on and what's happening. I know they try to keep a privacy setting on who's going to events but it would be more comfortable for some people, especially if they're new, if they see some people that they know.

I was interested in the events and meeting new people through Events and Adventures. I signed up and I have attended two events, so far. The first one was a hike to the beach and taking sights. I was a little bit nervous when I went there but once I met people, they were very welcoming and it was a no pressure environment. We sat there, ate lunch, and mingled with each other. The next one I went on was a lake day in Malibu. It was pretty much a similar thing, just hanging out, eating food, and mingling. And there was a sign in, so everybody was accounted for. I saw the same people at the two events, so I'm getting to know them better and having conversations with them. Then I have a planned trampoline dodgeball. All in all, everybody is gonna get all different experiences and what they’re gonna get out of something, but as far as how Events and Adventures put together things, they’re very professional.

Then I went on to activities like the Trampoline Dodge Ball, Archery Tag, a few food and wine events that were like special cultural things, and little things like meet at a bar. Events & Adventures offers a bunch of events and I’ve been able to do a lot of things that I would have never found these places otherwise. I chose to join them when I’m a little bit further out from the central Chicago Clubhouse. I was a little apprehensive before going to my first event, but I was excited to see what it was all about. Once I met the event host, he introduced me to a few other people, I was able to get into the event, and all my apprehension went away.

The Memorial Day weekend trip was fun because it was a national trip. It was really cool because they had the whole grouped section on the campground that was reserved just for the Events & Adventures group so we had the round of the little area and we were able to have our fun without disrupting anyone else. I met a few people out my way, and a bunch of people that were more in the suburbs, that even though they were not quite out my way, I was still able to associate with them a little bit outside of the club as well, which was kind of cool.

Events and Adventures fits what I’m looking for. It’s fun to do. There are a variety of activities that I would probably not do if I wasn’t part of Events and Adventures. It brings me out of my usual environment and gets me to try things that I always wanted to do. But finding the people to go and do it with is usually the difficulty because your usual group of friends do the usual things that they do.

I really liked that with Events and Adventures, we would be doing activities with singles. I went on a hike, paragliding, the climbing in trees, and game night. They were all fun in their own different ways. I really enjoyed climbing in trees. That was challenging and rewarding. Playing games during the game night was fun. The hiking was also challenging. We had a rainy day, so we didn’t have the views, but it was a good group of people, and it was fun. I have four activities this month. I'll do The scavenger, The Room, and then Bard on the Beach, which is a play. Also, I’m gonna sign up for horseback riding. I’ve made friends at Events and Adventures. We’re meeting, and there’s a couple that I got along with very nicely.

I am in a new city and I don’t know people and I was seeking something like Event and Adventures. I decided I was gonna try it out and I liked it. Ray did the interview and I never thought that I can through an interview like a job interview. The whole thing felt a little bit more secure. They just don’t let anybody in. The whole paying for it was a little weird but it’s good.

I was able to go to one event and it was a pretty cool experience. I was a little scared at first. I got there and I didn’t really know where to go. I was on the phone trying to look up the host’s name and the phone number and she was actually in the line with me getting free tacos. Then, I talked with everybody and was able to make potential friends. They were fine, entertaining, and good people. My experience was excellent but I wish that they have more events down here in Waxahachie area. There are some sometimes but once in a blue moon. Also, they should do a phone app. It would be much easier to navigate. I use my phone for everything and when we use the internet instead of an app, it’s so slow and so sluggish and it’s super freaking annoying. If there was like an app, it would be a lot better.

I've been trying to get my brother to sign up for a couple of years now and when I went through a divorce back in March, I signed up. I've gone to four events and I have liked my experience so far. I've made friends. I was a little nervous for my first event, but everybody was really welcoming and I just hopped right in a group. It was cool. My favorite event was the country dancing in the Cowboys Red River. Now, I'm signed up on the 6th to go to the Escape The Room Dallas, and Cowboys Red River, Boot Scootin' Cowboy Dancing on the 7th. I wanted to do laser tag, but I didn't have money for it. Then, I got a Challenge Course and Zipline on the 15th, and then Monday Movies on the 17th, and then Free Comedy Night on the 27th. Sign up with Events & Adventures.

I was a little nervous but excited when I went to my first event with Events & Adventures. The nervousness changed after I got acclimated and it was great. I got interested in them because of their activities and now I've been going to about three or four of them a month. And this coming Sunday, it's Cowboys Watch Party that I'm going to. I've been going to the hikes as well and I like them. Poker night was fun. I also went to a comedy club once, and dinners that they have had. Though the craft ones are my favorite, the ones where we're painting. I've also met some new friends through the events. Events & Adventures is definitely great if one wants to be more outgoing. If not sure what to do, it's good for finding events. I'm not sure I'd recommend the trips though.

Being single, I wanted more friends and I was looking to hang out with people. My first event with Events and Adventures was a restaurant down in Fort Worth. It was fine getting out there and finding the group. I attended a lot of events or trips at the beginning, probably a couple a week. Now, I only go out on Fridays and Saturdays as I got a new job. I like to go out and dance. We went to an ‘80s club last Friday and on Friday, it’s dancing again out in Dallas. I’ve also done some swing dancing with them and I’ve gone out to dinner. I tell people about Events and Adventures. It’s a great way to go out, meet other people and do things that you like with other people. The people I've met are not stuck-up as well and everybody is very friendly and welcoming.

Events and Adventures had events every day and my friends told me about it. Also, I’m newly single and that attracted me to the group. I was excited on my first event and it was a good experience. So far, I've attended six events and there are several people that I've become familiar with. My favorite was when they had a casino night and when we went to the horse races. Other than that, I've gone to a swimming party as well and a Rangers baseball game.

I would recommend Events and Adventures. It’s something fun to do.

I was interested with the social activities of Events & Adventures and I have attended less than 10 events or trips so far. My favorite is any time there's an opportunity to mingle -- standing up, holding a drink, and talking to different people. I was with the volleyball activity and it was fine, although sometimes, I talked to people when they were playing volleyball. A lot of the events are set up where we are doing something. I'm gonna do open mic night and I probably won't talk to anybody there. It depends on how crowded it is, how many people are performing or if there is an opportunity to have a conversation. A lot of the times, like during skating, I haven't had a conversation with anyone.

I've done skating, poker, and volleyball around three times out of town for a couple of weeks. I also did Lei Low, which is a rum bar, and I liked that because it was standing around and talking to people. Then, I went to another bar function and everybody was seated at a table. I know how to give a good party and the way a party works is you never have any chairs, you stand up, have your cocktail or whatever you're drinking, and walk around and talk to different people. Not enough of the events offer that. I've mentioned it to one of the hosts and at the volleyball event the last time I was there.

Nonetheless, everybody's friendly and I'm not very dissatisfied. One thing I didn't do when I signed up was to ask what the percentage was of members that are in my age bracket because most of the people are younger than me, which I expected. I don't want to date a 35-year-old and I'm not 35 or even close to it. The average age is around 35 to get through and I've seen a few people that are closer to my age, but not many.

I would recommend Events & Adventures to people that are younger than me, not my age group. I'm 62 and a lot of people aren't athletic at 62. They wouldn't skate, play volleyball and do half the things that I'm doing, but because I'm athletic and I'm still young at heart, I like it all and the athletic stuff. However, I would not recommend the club to my girlfriends that are all around my age. I'm not even telling them they should go to an event. There isn't anybody they're gonna meet. It's not a 5-star club for someone my age, even for 55 to 60-year-olds, except there is one host that falls in that range and he loves it.

I'm getting close to being an empty nester. I was looking for a way to get out, socialize and meet people. I saw Events & Adventures on the internet and I've been with them for a year and a half now. I wasn't sure what to expect when I went to my first event but I felt confident. And it turned out to be fine. There was a variety of people. The person that used to be the coordinator was really rude to me and I'm really glad she's gone. I've gone to 30 events and I've made friends. I really liked Rough Creek Lodge even though it was on the pricey side. Some events, you meet at a restaurant, a happy-hour-ish thing and some events are activities, though you don't have to do it. I went to golf but I really didn't go for the sport. I just went for the socializing, which was fine. Then there was a sushi night. I've also been on a couple of campouts, and those were a lot of fun. There's a San Marcos trip at the end of the month that I might try to go on. We're tubing.

They have a few of the things I do, but they don’t have a lot for the 40 something age group and the few events I went on were very cliquey. People were coupled up and grouped up and it was not a welcoming feeling, so I quit going. I cancelled the last trip I was going to because I didn’t want to be out of state and the members got their group. I was also by myself when I went to a comedy club, and it was very awkward.

I liked that Events and Adventures is a social club to get out and do things. When I originally joined them, someone signed me up for one year. However, when some of the girls that I met and became friends with joined, they were offered 18 months for the same amount of money. It was a substantial amount. They joined at the same time as me because we went to our first event at the same time. I contacted someone within the 30-day use, but there wasn’t a good follow-up, which was a little disappointing.

I was a little nervous about my first event because I wasn’t gonna know anyone. However, everyone was really nice and friendly. Moreover, everyone was in the same situation, so it wasn’t that bad. Events and Adventures' event planner has been amazing. I do eight to 10 events a month. I've gone on a couple camping trips, which were a lot of fun. And I’m going on a trip in November. I enjoy the things where we’re active like dodgeball and trampoline. I felt like a kid again. I've also always liked happy hours, dinners, and wine tastings. I’ve also done drumming classes, game nights, pick-a-ball, tennis and a Pedal Pub, which is a bicycle bar. I’ve made a lot of new friends and done things outside of Events and Adventures with them.

Events and Adventures helps someone do things that they wouldn’t otherwise do. It is also a great way for someone who’s getting back out there and don’t wanna do the online thing or has done it and has been traumatized by it. There are definitely people who date within the club, but the diversity of men isn’t huge, which is a little limiting. Otherwise, it’s nice. Overall, there are definitely more women in the club than there are men. However, there were more men during the last camping trip. I had a diverse and entertaining experience with Events and Adventures.

I was interested in the adventure part of Events and Adventures. However, there are more events than actual adventures. I haven't found many adventures in the calendar. I was gonna sign up for the one thing I found which was the skydiving, which was cool. But it doesn’t come that often and I haven't seen it. The event held 20 people and if they have 5,000 members, 20 isn't gonna make it. If that’s the capacity they have, the event should be a bit more often.

I have a really hard time talking to strangers and if I’m not dragged into getting into a conversation, I probably wouldn’t talk to anybody. That’s part of my personality. At the first event, I sat at a table and thought the people at the other table were part of the group. I didn’t ask and nobody asked me. It would help if there’s a sign on the table for people like me. As long as they have a sign that says “This is E&A”, at least I know that I’m on the right table. It was Bingo Night and I enjoy bingo. There’s an activity, you have a person sitting by you, you get to know that person and you make it easier just to talk to the two or three you have around you. That didn’t happen though. We all arrived, but the bingo was suspended by the bar.

There was an event where the coordinator was really going out to everybody, introducing people, talking a little bit to each one or starting a conversation. That made it a lot easier for me. The wine tasting was my favorite event, but it was not the event itself or the wine. The wine was not that great. However, the lady set the mood. She was right by me and was also very nice. That made it easy to start a conversation.

I haven't been to a few events and I'm guessing there hasn't been a follow-up on people, which is why there are so many that come and go. I have seen some repeat people in the events, but not that much. I also heard comments that a lot of people don’t stay very long. There is a reason why they see so much people go back and forth because they’re not interested or motivated. Also, E&A should give events more structure to make it easy for people to join and not feel so awkward. Although I'd change a few things, my experience with Events and Adventures has been good.

I was a member of Events and Adventures in Seattle 20 years ago, then I moved to Scottsdale from Sedona in March. I don’t like online dating and that was the motivational factor for rejoining the club. I’m new to the really active outdoor environment, so I went in to do more outdoor activities. The problem with online dating is I get very nervous. It was getting to the date that created the anxiety. On the first 10 events, I was nervous getting there, but once I arrived at Events and Adventures, I wasn't nervous anymore. I sign up for about three events a week and my favorite so far has been the musical instrument event at The Musical Instrument Museum. We also had a dance class while we were there and we had a concert. When I’m in the group, I’m not shy at all. I’m an exercise instructor by trade, so I’m used to being in front of groups and I’m friendly, but I haven’t been ready yet to sign up for events away from home.

Last weekend, one of the guys at Events and Adventures invited me to go with him to attend the Lake Havasu event. It was tent camping and we had two separate tents. We were friends and we went there to date. It was big for me and I had a great time at Lake Havasu. It was warm and we were in the water all day. The group was fun. At first, you feel shy and everyone goes through it. I never thought a guy would be nervous, but some of the guys also said that they were nervous about getting to the event. I used to think there were so many more women than guys, which made it a little uncomfortable for the women, but the events that are more extreme, or the social events, have been an interesting reality. I’m making all kinds of friends. I moved here in March and I have 10 girlfriends’ phone numbers that are texting me. They are the only friends I have here, but I’m having the time of my life. I would tell others to come to Events.

With all four months of coming three times a week, I’ve only seen the same people two or three times, so they don’t come as often as they need to get past feeling shy. However, the hosts are not paid employees by Events and Adventures, they are members, so, sometimes, I question their ability to handle a crisis. For example, during the rowing class last night, a girl next to me got pinned back and she got so scared. She didn’t put her oar back in the water again. I got pinned too, but I’m really strong. No one had life jackets and the instruction was poor. Even though it’s not Events and Adventures' fault that those types of things occur, it could still be avoided.

I simply go there, play volleyball, meet and hang out with people. I am happy that I met somebody that's interesting. The point of going to events with Events & Adventures is not like any other dating apps where you're there to look for a date. This one, you simply go and have fun. The advertisement of Events and Adventures on the radio talked about being single and living a life that you wanna do and going on adventures and having fun, so I signed up with them. I tend to be shy in a big crowd and I wasn't sure what was gonna happen during my first event, but the hosts were really good. They knew I was a new person and would go around and introduce me to people.

I try and do at least three to five events each month. The only trip I've done so far was the Memorial weekend. It was camping and E&A took care of the campsite and provided the food. Everything was already taken care of and I didn’t have to do anything. I also liked the wine tasting event and we did walking wolf a couple of weeks ago and bubble soccer. I like doing different things that I don’t normally do, so any time it's something new and exciting, I definitely try and do it.

My favorite event so far has been the skydiving. That has always been a bucket list and I've been able to do it. It was great. Also, I will be doing the Cabo in a couple of weeks and Thailand in February. I've been with E&A for eight months and I definitely made a lot of friends. However, the host has turned around. It's a different host than when I was first here. When I first joined, a host would recognize that I'm new and would personally come out, but I'm noticing now that it doesn’t really seem that way. In a couple of events, I've seen new people stay in the corner and I'll go over and start talking to them. The membership fee also turns people away, especially the fact that we still have to pay for a lot of the events.

Events & Adventures seems like a good way to meet people such as a potential romantic interest without having to go through online dating. I tried Tinder and other apps for a while and in order for me to get to a point where I meet someone, it took an ungodly amount of time and effort. I just wanted facetime with people and I didn’t wanna mess around with chatting which made me interested about Events & Adventures.

I was excited going to my first event since it was a new thing. I was a bit optimistic but also a little worried because I didn’t know how the clientele was gonna be like or if other people might be interested. I’ve gone on a bar or club type of outing, which is what I like to do. They were mainly kickbacks and we had some drinks. One of the first events that I went to was an outing at a Club in Seattle. They rented the VIP room and it was pretty great. I saw Kevin Hart there. It was really random and a lot of crazy stuff happened that night. It was pretty fun. I met a couple of other people through Events and Adventures that I like to chat with. There was also a girl that I was talking to and we went on a date. However, it seems like our schedules are really off.

Events and Adventures has a very strict cancellation policy which I don’t even know if legal. If I sign a contract and leave the next day, in order to get any amount of my money back, I would have to do it within three days and there is a $400 cancellation fee. I can’t cancel over the phone or even via email. It has to be a typewritten letter sent to their headquarters. Still, my experience with Events & Adventures was pretty good and I’m satisfied.

I liked the different activities that Events & Adventures offered. So, I joined and before going to my first event, I was nervous because I didn’t know anybody. But everyone was really nice, friendly, and welcoming. You get the feeling like you’re not alone, everybody is there to just have fun and meet new people, and that you can enjoy yourself. So, it wasn’t hard after I got there. So far, I’ve done one big trip to the Grand Canyon, which is my favorite, and about five local events.

The Grand Canyon trip was so awesome and I would do that again in a heartbeat. It was a very fast trip. We all met in Las Vegas and we had roommates. There were 27 people from Events & Adventures from seven different states. Our trip guide, Jocelyn, who was out of Denver, was also super. We went out to dinner together as a big group, so we got to know each other a little bit. Then the next morning, we got on a bus to go to a smaller airport to divide and get on smaller planes out to a ranch. We spent the day at the ranch and spent the night in covered wagons with our roommates. The next morning, we got on helicopters to go down onto the river in the canyon then we got on our big raft and we rafted down the canyon for two days. We had two campouts on the river side of the canyon and we saw different things. And we hiked up to a waterfall one day.

On the day that we left, we boated to a bus, got on the bus, then got to the airport. I had one of the first flights, so I didn’t have time to do anything. And my friend that picked me up from the airport told me she thought I looked like a homeless person because I hadn’t showered. We had to bathe in the cold river while we were there, which was brown, and I chose not to do that. So I was filthy and grungy when I got home. But it was so much fun and I couldn’t care what I was like coming home. We had the best time and that’s my kind of adventure right there.

Other than that, I have been to a concert down at Miller Theatre in Houston. I’ve been on a hike, a trivia bar game, and a movie as well. But I don’t tend to do the weekly stuff because I live about an hour away from where the middle of the week activities are down in Houston where the traffic is crazy. I always meet really cool girls at the events but we haven’t continued a friendship outside of the events.

Also, I don’t feel like it is a place for me to meet a significant other or I haven’t had that feeling yet. On the rafting trip, there were 21 girls and 6 guys. And Jocelyn said that was because women sign up early while men wait for the last minute. So a lot of activities are a lot like that. But I’m not really in it to meet a significant other. I'm in it to have fun and meet new people. And I have a very busy social neighborhood, so it is not like I’m looking for things to fill my evenings with during the week. I travel a lot on the weekends, too. I’m looking at another big trip with Events & Adventures, though, because the previous one was so awesome.

I like to meet people through activities. I’m not somebody who is shy but I have not gotten involved in an organization and meeting new people. I signed up with Events and Adventures eight months ago and there were some other events on the calendar that I was interested in but it was always sold out so I would never get in. I live in Marin County so ideally, I need to go to Marin San Francisco event, but there was almost no event in San Francisco or North Bay. I felt I was misled when I signed up because I was shown the calendar, but I didn’t get into detail of what was in South Bay versus East Bay versus San Francisco. After I signed up, there were two months where I couldn’t even get in on anything because the events were either sold out or there was nothing in San Francisco. So I asked for an extension of two months and it was granted.

The outdoor events are more common in South Bay. I was not too happy with that and I almost never signed up because I rarely find something in the area I’m interested in. I attended very few events. I went to hikes and it was really nice, but the age range was not fitting mine. I was told that there were plenty from 40 to 55 years old and that was the case for any of the events I’ve been at. I’m over 50 but the people are usually younger and I need to be in my age range. The best event I’ve been at was organized on Angel Island with electric bikes and I’ve never done an electric bike ride. It was a day event and that was really excellent.

For what Events and Adventures offers, their membership is very expensive and it was not a good deal. I can’t even sign up for things and reach on my investment because I don’t have enough events. It also sounds like they don't have enough events coordinator to organize events. The online participation is once every two months and I’d like to do more but there’s a mismatch on the type of events I can have.

I’m Mexican and I wanted to meet local people who are over this area just to talk, hang out and party sometimes. I signed my paperwork for the Events and Adventures at the office, and then the same day, I met a guy from the country club. We also went to a country disco with cowboys, and it was a lesson. And the other event was the ice breaker which was in a hotel gym. However, I think I made a mistake to join the club. I feel fine because I was in the mood to meet people there. But I don’t feel like the old participants are warm to receive new people. Sometimes, they don’t say anything to engage people there. I was introducing myself to a couple of people there because I’m more extroverted but people are closed. They have their own friends and groups, and it is hard to start from there.

Even at the icebreaker, we just had to walk around to see who want to talk with us. Most of the people don’t have social skills, and it is hard to start a conversation there. Maybe they also don’t want somebody speaking with my accent, or maybe they don’t like me. And it’s okay. It’s about options but for me, it’s missing more information about new elements. But probably, I need to try another activity with Events and Adventures.

I was kind of nervous before arriving to my first event with Events and Adventures, just hanging out with a bunch of new people, not knowing anyone at all. Then, I found about everyone’s pretty friendly and you just pretty much talk to whoever you want. I've been using Events and Adventures for nine months and I usually go to events several times a week. The one I go to consistently is the book club. We had a day at the beach that I liked a lot and we had a game night over at a bar. I made some new friends and there are several women that I’m talking to and going out with outside the club.

I was listening to music at Pandora and an Events & Adventures advertisement came on and I thought about trying it one day. I was interested in meeting new people, getting out and doing things that I don't normally do, which is like getting out of the box and starting over. I was a little nervous at first, but once I arrived and met a few of the people there, I immediately felt comfortable. One of the events that I enjoyed was an escape night. Another event was a skydiving trip and it was my favorite. Because of work and availability, I usually do events that are on weekends or if I'm off one day during the week, I'll try to get with the group and go out with them. On some occasions, I've met up with people outside of the group and go out and do stuff from there. There is something at Events & Adventures for everybody and I recommend people try it out.

They had a comedy show thing that I also went to. They had one place where the cook cooked the most amazing food. It’s probably one of the best meal that I’ve ever had in my life. So far, I’m having a good time. Though it would be nice if there were more females than males. It tends to be 5 to 10 guys for every female there.

I heard about Events and Adventures through Facebook. I recently retired, and I wanted to get out of the house and do things. I liked the different things to do that they offer. At first, I was nervous and I also got lost getting there at the first event. Ray, the guy that had interviewed me, saw me and then he walked me up. He was so nice. I have been to six or seven events already, and my favorites were the casino night and the game night. The casino night was at this lady’s house and she was the one hosting it, and I enjoyed that.

I have also attended the happy hour, and then a dinner for people who are over 40 called arcade. I liked the place of the arcade, but it was not like I really got to associate with anybody because there were so many people from outside of the group and you did not know who was part of it and who was not. I like smaller groups where it is easier to interact, as in the case of the game night, too. I have talked to people, but not really connected.

I was a little nervous before my first event, but everybody seemed really nice in the outset. I've been to about 10 events and I enjoyed all of them. I did an icebreaker, a brunch, and two book clubs. The event sponsors and the hosts have been great and very upbeat. Everybody has been very friendly, outgoing, and very helpful. I love to do fun things, but I couldn't do them by myself and joining Events & Adventures, I am able to do some new things and put myself out there. There are no activities around where I live, which is an hour away from the activity. I joined E&A in June and my first event was kayaking. I was extremely nervous and a wreck before I arrived at the event. I was running late because it took a lot longer to get there than I thought. Then I called and told the people from E&A that I was late, and the person I spoke to said, "Oh, no worries. Everything's fine." So, they build extra time for people that are late and that's nice. Everyone was very welcoming and introduced themselves.

The only thing that I wasn't certain of was that I was looking for one guy with a name tag that I never met before. We met at this park and there were a couple of groups there, and I was like, "Which group is mine?" So, it would be nice to have a big sign or even just a portfolio-sized, an 8 1/2 x 11 that they can set on the table and it says Events & Adventures. Nevertheless, I never did kayaking before and it was so fun. I also did the Chicago Architectural boat tour, which was good, and we also rode bikes down the lakefront and had dinner. E&A had a cool party with a beach thing afterward. The other night, I learned how to play poker, and tonight, I'm going for dinner and to someplace that makes gourmet doughnuts. I'm divorced with two kids, so the trips are gonna be hard to do. But eventually, I would like to do the trip. E&A is providing a lot of different things but it's my schedule that holds me back from doing things and it's not lack of interest.

However, I'm disappointed in the selection of men. Most of the events I go to are about 75% women and 25% men. I've met a great girl, but all of the guys were bizarre and awkward. I met one guy that takes care of a rat at a lab at the University of Chicago and another guy that is a janitor. Where are all the CPAs, the lawyers and the professional people? I'm also disappointed that a lot of people are heavy drinkers. Some of the events that I went to, such as the pool party, was to bring our own alcohol, and there were quite a few people that were really intoxicated. We were supposed to all go to the beach to play volleyball, but the groups split up and we never ended up playing volleyball.

I've been with Events & Adventures for about a year now and have been to a lot of events. I was interested in the opportunity to do things, get out and make new friends with E&A. When I went to my first event with them, I was excited. It was a bowling event and it was good. I've done the weekend getaways and have had a good travel and hotel experience. We went up to Grand Lake and then did a weekend up in a cabin and camping. Everything was well-planned.

Just this week, I went to a happy hour. We did a beach party at one of the local lakes. Before that, I did a comedy night, and before that, I did a dinner event. I've really enjoyed making friends and it has been a good group of people, whether I'm looking to meet somebody or if I'm trying to get out. Last night, although it wasn't a group event, there were 10 of us that got together and did a movie night at a friend's house. And also, I dated a couple of people from the group.

The people at E&A are very open to new experiences and I can give suggestions to the event coordinator. I'm actually starting to host events with them and work with the company. I liked them so much. If someone is newly single, E&A allows that person to get back out and get to know people who are not in a date setting or a random set and do something fun like volleyball or some kind of interaction thing, so it would not be awkward.

There’s also some dancing coming up which sounds fun. It’s just weird that in some of the events, they say that it’s full and you get there and there are only six people there, so it’s hit or miss. But I've met lots of people. Last night, I went to an event where a woman there was wonderful.

Events and Adventures is a way for singles to mingle and possibly meet somebody. I try to attend events about five to six times a month. Sometimes, I did a few more than that, but there were also two months that I did fewer than that. In total, I attended close to 80 events at this point. The ones that I've enjoyed the least have mainly been the ones that were for the purpose of mingling. They were usually in bar settings, with loud music playing and we couldn't hear each other speaking. On the other hand, the events that I've enjoyed the most have been the ones that had something out of the ordinary and something that I'd never done before like the hot air balloon.

A friend of mine told me about Events and Adventures and I thought it would be a good thing to get out of the house, do more events and meet new people. I was excited before I arrived at my first event and I have attended about 10 to 15 events since. I was going to a lot of events in my first month, but things got put down a bit because my life got busy. I really liked the sailing event and it was exciting and fun. I thought it was gonna be a boat party, but it wasn't. We were on a boat and actually sailing, so that was pretty cool.

I'm going to a naughty bingo-thing on Wednesday and it's like a Cards Against Humanity game, so it's not too bad. I also went dancing with some people and we had dinner. It wasn't one of my favorite events, although it was good and I had food that I have not had before. It was yummy. I've met some really nice people since joining. What's interesting about the group is that I go to events and do the things at the event, but then it's difficult to see people outside of the events to drink a cup of coffee or hang out. The only thing I don't like about being part of this is that it's expensive and that's a little concerning to me because I tried to go to as many as free events as I can, but I'm still paying every month, and that's supposedly covering the cost of it.

Also, Events and Adventures has not been not very transparent about what my dues are actually going towards. They also need to upgrade their technology quite a bit. The website is terrible and it's really difficult to sign up for events. It's not very user-friendly at all. I also do not like their cancellation policy and billing policy. When I signed up to an event, no one told me that I will be billed automatically the next day.

The first time I had happen to me, it was for a $20 event which I thought I would pay for the next week, but then the next day, I got an email that said, "$20 had been taken out of your checking account." It was really upsetting to me, but I understood why they were doing that. They don't wanna encourage no-shows, but, at the same time, I gotta cancel a week out, which was fine. However, if I get sick or something happens, I can't cancel and I'm out. They don't refund me with money if that's a paid event that is why I try to do as many free events as I possibly can. I'm not 100% sure I'm gonna renew. It seems like a lot of money for what I get. Nevertheless, the quality of people there is really great and so are their events.

My sister joined Events & Adventures before I did and I've seen what she does, having fun and meeting people. My first event as a member, I had gone with a few other guests and I was with my sister so I met a few people through that. She introduced me to a few people outside of the actual event so I knew some people after that, which made it a little easier to get to know more people and branch out that way. I enjoyed the Memorial Day camping trip up into the Grand Lake as it was the best opportunity to get to know other people. There was a lot more downtime and we got to choose more who we spent our time with, which allowed us to get closer. My next event is this Sunday to Cherry Creek Reservoir.

We have an alternative Facebook page for non-events activities, and we post something in there and we get together to play some board games. There’s been a crew of five to six people who come and hang out, and we’ve gotten pretty close through that. However, my biggest comment about Events and Adventures is a concern about doing background checks on people instead of just a quick interview in the office. There are a number of members that I specifically have to weigh. I don’t think that the professional level that it could be is where it should be if we’re aiming for a more professional kind of people. Having background checks could help with that.

I am also doing the camping trip that we planned at the end of the month. However, I was told that there were camping spots available when I first met with them and that was one of the main reasons I signed up, and then when I went on the calendar, it was all full so I was upset about it.

Also, I got really frustrated about a lot of things, like how they said they do background checks and they don’t. I figured that with the price and doing background checks, there'd be more successful business type people and not people that don’t have jobs. I also don’t like how much people talk about each other. Some of the people are cool, but a lot of them judge and they don’t try to get to know others. They just go by what they think. They talk about other people but I don’t even know who they are because I’m new and it’s just awkward for me.

However, one of the events that I didn't like was the board game. It wasn't Events & Adventures' fault, but one group was really loud, and we couldn't hear anything, so we left. Another event we did was like a brunch and they had 30 people sign up for that but only 10 people showed up, and that was disappointing.

A lot of people don't know if Events and Adventures is worth the money and I'm kind of on the fence. It's hard to tell since sometimes the events are fun. I mostly tell people about the money part because a lot of people are surprised by that. Some people think the money that they spend to get the membership is all that they need to spend to have fun. So, I tell my friends to make sure that they have extra money because if they got just barely for the membership, they're not gonna have fun. I'm looking for new friends because I'm recently single. I'm usually on my own and doing everything on my own, sometimes with friends. So, I wanted to join a group. I joined Events and Adventures, and at the first event, the people were not really sociable. Maybe it was because of cultural difference. People are different. I haven't found very interesting people yet. But everyone is respectful and it's just the beginning phase.

I like what the company is doing but sometimes the event is a little too early for me for my schedule and I can't be there on time or because I have a two-year-old daughter. It's unpredictable. So, sometimes, I have to wait until the last minute to register for an event. And I don’t like the pressure of registering every time if I'm paying already a membership fee. That’s why I'm taking a short break right now from them and I would like to freeze my membership for a while. I don’t mind even if I lose the money I paid for the membership, but my time is very expensive. Maybe I'd stop forever because it doesn’t excite me enough.

I just did very local events. I live in downtown Vancouver and I work three days a week in Abbotsford, Fraser Valley area, so it's a long drive and I don't know exactly what time I can be available. So, I just need very basic local events like restaurants and casinos. I haven't tried anything like hiking or boating. That’s my intention to do that but not at this moment. The cost is a little bit high priced too but that’s fine and when you pay for something, you care more for it. But Events and Adventures should offer some trial membership because some people want to just try it for a short term. That’s gonna be the best marketing. If these people like it, they will stay. And they should make an app for the smartphone because if you send the notification to your customers, it excites them more to join the events. I'm gonna be more involved. But I'm happy I joined the club and I did meet lots of people.

Friends, fun and adventures--this is how I would summarize my experience with Events and Adventures. I'm from a small town that's two hours away from where I currently live. I’m single and I've been here two years now, but I didn’t know anybody and I didn't have anybody here that I could just go do things with. And so I decided to join this club. My first event was the Cinco de Mayo party at their clubhouse and I was a little nervous. But as soon as I got there, everyone was so nice and welcoming. I hit it off with quite a few people that first night. Since then, I've been to about 10 events. We’ve done sailing and some meet-and-greets at some different kind of bars, and I went to my first Astros game. But so far, my favorite is the trivia night we did downtown.

I’m just really happy that I joined Events and Adventures. I’ve made a couple of new friends, and we text and meet each other at the events. Before I joined, I've either just been working, sitting in my apartment, watching TV, and just wasting my days off. I'd see things during the week that I liked and if I was not working, I’d definitely go because I didn't have anything else to do. Now, I have the option to go somewhere and do something instead of just sitting at home watching TV.

I'm new to the country and I signed up with Events and Adventures to have a chance to make friends and meet them in an environment where they're also willing to mingle, as opposed to meeting random strangers on a train or a coffee shop. Also, I'm single and it's a good platform where you meet a lot of single people. Then there's a neutral environment where everyone's willing to socialize or play games or eat food, go to a restaurant, or do any other social activity.

When I had just signed up, one of the members had their birthday celebration. I attended that then I got a chance to meet some of the members as well. It was my first event and it was nice. Then, the more events you go to, the better you get to know people. It's a good way of getting to know people and spending your time constructively. Every time you go out to an event, you see the other faces you have met before and it's a nice interaction though more often than not, it's confined to the events organized by Events & Adventures. But everyone feels comfortable in an event that is organized and you need to get a little higher level of comfort before you meet someone one on one.

So far, I have attended about 12 events so far. I love being outdoors, so I enjoyed the curling that we had at New Westminster. Then there was horseback riding at Back in the Saddle at Langley which was one of the ones that I really liked. Then there was another one for volleyball. Essentially, they go out to the REVS Bowling Alley, then there's a squash court, which they changed into a volleyball court by putting up a net in the middle. I haven't had a chance to go out for any hiking events yet and I would've loved to go out for a weekend trip like the get together that they did for a Harrison Hot Water Springs. I couldn't quite make it to that, but I would have enjoyed it.

I would tell others that Events and Adventures is a good place to meet other people, socialize, and perhaps meet a significant other some point down the line. It's a fun place where there aren't any barriers and the people are willing to socialize. It creates good memories and you get to travel together and do activities together. You also get a chance to make friends and explore the city or see some art, music, or culture. I would recommend it.

I needed to get out more and I signed up with Events and Adventures. I went to four events and I had fun. The experience has been pretty swell. I like the video night and the trivia night. The first event was cool and I really enjoyed it. It was a retro video game night where we went to an arcade place here in Houston. It was awesome. Events and Adventures is doing great except for the cost, but it is what it is. And the whole process, the onboard and the interview were really awesome. All of the events are very well-organized and the coordinators are really welcoming. They make sure every event is very inclusive, regardless of the different ages. All of the events I've gone to have had a pretty huge age range. But that was not an issue. Find money and join Events and Adventures.

It's a pretty good kind of 'meet and have fun' club for singles, and I was interested in the traveling and with it being a single's group. I've attended one trip and six events. And the trip to Vietnam and Cambodia has been my favorite. I would like to see more trips, probably some to Australia, Africa, or Scotland though. The introductory icebreaker, where I got to meet a couple of people, went pretty well. The people there were nice and we played games. The Fourth of July was pretty good as well. We went out on a lake and watched the fireworks and swam around. I recommended Events and Adventures to one of my co-workers. He was interested in the travel with other singles. So, I think he signed up.

I never had any luck with dating sites because I have no good pictures, and I'm not good at taking pictures. I was moving to a new place so it seemed like Events and Adventures is a good way to make friends. That combination seemed appropriate for me. The first event was bowling and it was cool. Everybody sat in the room and did the introductions, just for the new members. It was a little bit awkward but then when we got to the actual bowling, people kinda grouped up in a natural sort of way and that was pretty fun.

I've been to four events and three of them were one-on-one weekends. It was bowling and then there was a Cinco de Mayo party at a beach, that was the best one I've been to so far. And then there was hiking, which was just standard issue hiking and then I went to a firehouse tour, which is interesting. I'm 26 and I was expecting there would be more people my age, as the person who sold me on the product told me that they were targeting people in my age bracket. But then when I got there, there was a lot more people in their mid-30's than I was expecting. So I sort of have made friends like there's people who I've seen there, that when I see them again, we know who each other are but there hasn't been anybody who I've hung out with outside of the Events & Adventures yet.

I like the idea and there have been events that I wanted to go to and I couldn't just due to the time but there haven't been as many events as I thought there would be. And there's no central place where anybody can just go. I thought there might be like a clubhouse, where if you happen to be free, you can just go there and hang out but there's nothing like that. It's always the event. I think that would be a huge thing. It would be super cool if there was just a central place where any of the members could go and then you could see other members there. It seems like Events and Adventures is more effective in some cities than others. So check to see if the city that you're in is a good city for it.

I liked the different events that Events & Adventures plan. They're definitely fun. It seemed like something to do and being somebody who doesn't know very many people, I get to meet new people. I tend to do well in attending events but I was a little nervous when I went to the first one. Now, I've been to 4 events so far and I like them all, but I've really liked the scavenger hunt. We also did an escape room and that was awesome. However, I haven't been to any events since then and I'm thinking of canceling my membership.

When I did the Beer and Bacon here in Seattle, the communication was really terrible. I paid a lot of money to go to that but I never hooked up with anybody from Events & Adventures. The MeetMe app where they got the chat message thing going is not working and not very effective. So even though I was texting, I was by myself when I was at Beer and Bacon. And everywhere, I would ask where they were and they said they were there. But by the time I get there, they'd be gone. And then at one point, they just stopped answering me so that sucks. And I already reached out to Events & Adventures directly and talked to them about how I'm a little disappointed about that. And then, there was some weird people in one of the events that I went to. This is supposed to be a club for like-minded people and this guy who came to the event needed a shower, his hair was sticking up, and he stunk. He was weird.

Also, after we got through the escape room, we all met up at a club for a little bar and food, and I realized you can't control what people say or do. Because they are who they are. I work for the postal service and I'm a supervisor, and a lady who was part of the group also works for the postal service. We were sitting across from each other, talking and getting to know each other, and she's a crap employee. She started telling me all about how she was basically getting money for free off disability from the postal service, and that supervisors are crap, and everybody treats her like crap. And I said, "Really? I'm here to get away from that, you know?" And another time, I've got somebody blatantly telling me how she's defrauding the postal service out of money. There was also one lady who got like all pink drunk and kept grabbing on to me. That was weird, and so I've not been anxious to go do any other events.

When I went for my interview, Events & Adventures talked about how it was invitation-exclusive to people who are like-minded. And after the few events that I've been to, it seems they take anybody. I signed up for two years, and I'm paying 100-something bucks a month to go, and I don't wanna be harassed when I go by somebody who may potentially be one of my subordinates. The idea and the intention is great, but they need to be a little bit more discerning about who they're allowing to join. The mission statement's great, but some of the people who are showing up at these events are different. I had high hopes for it because I just moved to the area and I don't know anybody. And maybe it's just me or my frame of mind at this point, but I don't know if I'd recommend it.

I quit a different social club. It really wasn't so pure social and I wanted a more active social life. I joined Events and Adventures in late February and so far, I've attended events close to the high teens. I've met a couple of people and I did date somebody, but it was short lived. And, I had to pass on the event that I favored the most. One was the kayaking because my back went out on me. And then the softball game that was two days ago because of my knee. I need to have both knees cope in and I need to have back surgery.

When I signed up, they promised me lots of dog-friendly events but there has only been one since I joined and I was the one who put it together. It's a brewery that has a tasting room that is very dog friendly. I recommended that event and Events and Adventures scheduled it while I was on vacation. I have a 20-month old dog and I wanted to make sure that there was stuff that we could do together. It was just bad luck for me that it happened to work out that way. So far, I'm a little disappointed in the repetitiveness of some events. If I were to tell somebody about Events and Adventures, I would print out a schedule and talk with them about events, and give my insight on it before I say, "Hey, you should sign up."

I was nervous on my first event but everyone was friendly and everyone introduced. Even if people know each other, they introduced themselves. Everyone was free to talk to anyone else. I talked to everyone and I really had a good time. I've been doing two events every week, and I have registered for five events coming up. I like poker because most of the players are the host. It's very nice to meet and talk to all of them. The trips fill up really quick, especially the trip to Europe. It gets filled a year before. It would be better if there's a notification system if there's gonna be an opening so someone can be prepared for it.

I met a lot of good friends from my first and second events, and we've been going to the same events. It's really good to go to events with people you know. Every time I go to an event, I meet new people. It’s good because you keep seeing them. But it would be awesome if the Events and Adventures website had a friend list and you can add friends from inside the club. Because the only thing that you can do right now is the phone number, and some people are not really comfortable giving their phone number to a friend they just met once.

I heard about Events and Adventures through a friend of mine at work, who explained that it was a good way to meet new people, fill in the dark spots of the Houston map that I don't have experience with and expose myself to new things. I was also interested in the events that they had scheduled. I went to a couple of events the first couple of weeks. I enjoyed the nature hiking, and we went to the Club Park out in the Northwest section of town which is the kind of thing I'd like to do. I've also gone out to their new members' barbecue meeting.

The people I've met have been really nice, but unfortunately, it seems like there are a lot of guys that recently joined that are in my same situation. Also, I wasn’t comfortable with the sign up process. I felt like I was under a therapist microscope, and I got the impression that no matter what I said, as long as I met the financial requirements, I'd be accepted. And then, it was high pressure to get me signed right there when I found out how much it cost. Based on my friend’s recommendation, I went ahead and signed up but we'll see if it's worthwhile at the end of the day. Their website seems to work well and overall Events and Adventures looks promising.

I like that Events and Adventures is for single people and that they plan events that I'd be able to go to each month without any effort on my end besides signing up. I've been a member since mid-April and I was very nervous at my first event because the location was scary. It was a bowling alley which was not a very nice spot for an ice breaker meeting. So far, I have attended less than 10 events. I really enjoyed the class bowling that I did and some of the dinner mingles. I am doing one on the 28th of July and they are doing a tour of the factory or the brewing place and then river tubing. It was $50 roundtrip which included to and from the city. I've met a couple of very nice ladies. However, I've noticed that a lot of people are older than me in this group so that was challenging. We have two groups, the premier and the younger population. But the events I've gone through seems to be people in their 30's.

I know that the whole point of Events and Adventures is to get out there, meet new people and experience these events. But it would be nice if they included a cancellation policy because that takes a lot of money to do upfront and if you have a change of heart, they have all of that money now. So that was disappointing. I also met with the coordinator for Minneapolis and I felt very pressured into purchasing, which I didn't appreciate. I initially had a phone conversation, and ended up saying, "I think I'll pass right now." And then, I got a text message saying, "Are you sure?" And then, a couple of weeks later I said, "Okay, I can go in for a visit, see what it's all about." The offices that they had were sketchy and I felt very pressured into buying during our conversation. Nonetheless, I would tell others that I've been able to go to these very exciting events that I probably wouldn't have the opportunity to go to by myself or would have done on my own.

I am a newcomer to the city. I have a lot of free time and I don’t know what to do with it. Somebody recommended Events and Adventures to me and I joined the club for the events that they have. All of the events that I have attended have been good--camping, sports, and some eats and drinks events. Also, a lot of things that otherwise I would possibly not do, I would do them now because I've done them with Events and Adventures. My favorite activities so far were kayaking, snorkeling with the seals, and camping.

The events coordinator and planner we have is amazing too. She always has a smile on her face and makes you feel pretty comfortable. She said that the club is also non-judgmental so it's always great to have an events coordinator who is like that. That was pretty rare. I also have found acquaintances who I see over time in the same events. It's a lot of fun just to settle for and hang out.

A lot of things about this club are especially great for me. But, it is expensive. Most of the stuff I signed up for, I had to pay for them over and above the membership fee, so it sort of adds up. Still, it's worth it if you are the kind of person who is willing to take time and go to events as there are enough and many interesting events and stuff to do when you're a part of Events and Adventures group.

I could get out and get to do different activities. I was a little bit nervous arriving to my first event but they were really good about letting me know that I could call and ask any questions. They gave me a lot of information like where to park. That was great and I felt informed going in. So far, I've been to the Book Club Meeting, the Whirlyball and New Member Icebreaker. My favorite event is the Burgers and Bingo. I was also gonna go to a Campfire but that got cancelled due to weather.

Events and Adventures has a fun, great atmosphere and great activities. I'm dying to go on one of their big trips because they look amazing. But I gotta save up a little bit of money so I can sign up. I'm excited to get out there and see more things. They're doing a really great job trying to get to all the different areas of the city. I know they're in a bunch of different cities, but Chicago is so big and it takes you three hours plus traffic to get to a lot of places. I live on the southeast, so I try to make sure I get to all the events that are in my geographical area. I've met a couple of different people too. Events & Adventures is a social club and it’s nice. I needed to meet new people so I joined it. A couple of the events were really good. I enjoyed the hikes, the murder mystery game and escape rooms. I did an out of town trip to Camp LeTourneau and that was also great. I also signed up for a couple of events coming up this month. It’s a bit of a challenge to make new friends because the people who show up in one event, you never see them again -- unless you are comfortable in acquiring their phone numbers the first time you meet. Everytime it’s a new cohort of people that you meet at an event and that’s unexpected and I think it’s not great. But there are maybe four people who are regulars, who you meet again and again so you can create a relationship.

The website also needs to be updated to the current decade. It’s about 10 years back. It’s just ridiculous. They should also create an app because the mobile version is even worse than the one online. It’s a huge inconvenience for people to sign up and the website also needs to be better organized. It really needs to change if they like more participation and for the whole company to grow because the first experience you have is you wanna sign up or find out what the club is about and you go to the website. And there are so many free hosting websites where you don’t pay anything like a personal website, you just sign up for it. So when you come from that to this, it’s definitely a put off. It makes you think twice.

But apart from that, Events & Adventures is well-organized and the hosts are great. You get timely notifications for any changes and I know people work really hard to make the event go smoothly which is appreciated by me personally. It's flexible with everything else. But I would personally like more out of town events. It doesn’t have to be as logistically challenging as Camp Letourneau but a simple camping trip near town would be great too.

I had just moved to a new area and I didn't really know anybody, and instead of just sitting in the house, I wanted to get out there, meet some people, and do some things. So I started looking online and Events and Adventures was the top result out here. I looked into it for a while and eventually made an appointment. I've gone to three events so far and my favorite was some sort of bar mingle. My first event was a movies at the park thing, which was great when I first got there. But then, everyone kinda stopped socializing to watch the movie. But the bar mingle was more of like a relaxed environment and there were a lot of time to socialize and get to know each other, so it was good. I had a lot of anxiety before arriving on my first event but on my third event, I was comfortable because I started seeing familiar faces, and that relaxed me right off the bat.

Events & Adventures is a great way to get out there and try new things or go to new places in the city especially if you're new to an area. But as a suggestion, it would be really nice if the company offered a one-time trial period or a meet and greet so you get a taste for it before you actually pay the money to sign up for the club. That was one of my biggest worries because I wasn't really sure what I was signing up for at the time. I'm glad I did it now, but it would've definitely relaxed me a little bit more.

At least you have a group of people that are willing to do it and you can join them with doing various activities and events. I was a little bit nervous when I arrived at my first event because you meet new people and you don’t know what the new experience was gonna be. After that, I’ve ended up doing some of the activities more and more so it’s starting to change a bit. I got to know the majority of the event planners and managers, so I was getting comfortable after a while.

This month, I’ve done four activities. I did the seal snorkeling last Sunday in Horseshoe Bay which is number one on my list so far. I also did the after hours at Science Worlds, the night kayaking after hours at the Vancouver Aquarium which is my favorite, and some volleyball at the bowling place. Then, I have the Canada Day boat trip on Sunday. I’ll probably do five or more next month. But I haven’t made new friends from these events and adventures. It’s like you ended meeting and talking to them, then when they see you more and more, you realize have enough friends from outside the adventures.

I'm a homebody type personality but I do like getting out and to socialize and I like to talk to people. Events and Adventures really piqued my interest because it allows me to get out, have fun, meet new people, socialize, and really do things. I wanna travel more, and it helps that group rates are always a little bit cheaper. It's only been a month since I joined and I've been about to nine events. My favorite has been the sand volleyball on Wednesdays. I'm trying to live a more active lifestyle these days and trying to be healthier, and sand volleyball has allowed me to have some fun in the sand because it was on the coastline. I like playing a sport where it's not competition being shove down my throat all the time and I've met quite a few people playing sand volleyball. I also went to Casino Night at a local member’s house last Thursday and it was fun. I planned on already going to the next one because they have that monthly.

Everyone is super friendly. Being a social bug and a social butterfly, I try to float and try to mix myself in between all those cliques that have formed naturally just to try and kind of meet everybody that I can. I started building friendships with quite a few members. But it's hard to find time to really befriend as many people as you can since certain members aren’t at certain events. But I would still recommend Events and Adventures. Every time I look at the calendar, there's a whole bunch of new things and every single thing on this list would be something that I would never have thought to do on my own until Events and Adventures came along. The calendar keeps you interested in what the next month could have bring, and excited on what the new adventure is gonna be.

But then, it didn't start until 10:00. Also, they said that the event would be a mixture of '70s, '80s, and '90's music but it was mostly millennial music so the event was not as it was presented to be. Nevertheless, I enjoyed myself. Events and Adventures is expensive but it may be worth it for some people.

The first time I went to an Events and Adventures, I couldn't find the group so I wound up hanging out on my own. I went to a fun Axe Throwing event with my group through Events and Adventures. There was good coaching which I liked. It had a relaxed pace but it also had a bit of competition if a participant wanted it. So, it was safe for all participants to pick how they wanted to engage.

Another event that I went to was tubing on the salt river. There were multiple groups on the river that day and we were guided well. It was easy for us to stay together. Also, there were people who had done it before so for those of us who were at the event for the first time, it was good to be with people who knew how to keep the groups together and brought all kinds of goodies. Everybody helped each other and there was a lot of laughing and fun.

Also, I recently went to their new member orientation. I wish I had been able to go to one sooner because it helped me understand some of the things that Events and Adventures has to deal with as well as some of the ways that I can better participate in using their service. Now I'm participating in two events a week versus before which was once a month.

Furthermore, the advice in advance in the email sent before their events was well described. Events and Adventures has done a good job as much as they can. With a big group of 40 some odd people, that's a lot of coordination. I think the work that they do, how they organize themselves, how they organize their volunteers and the kinds of ideas they bring forward for events. It's all very creative and well-managed. They're also very attentive to their members and they make certain that everybody is safely having a good time.

Events and Adventures is fun and it's not too expensive for what you get. I'm enjoying volleyball the most, and we do it every Wednesday. But a lot of stuff should be inclusive. With how much you pay, it seems that you still end up paying for everything that you do. We just went on a camping trip and I didn't know that I could take a fifth wheel. If I would've known, I could've actually gone for half the price that I got charged to go. I could've rented the spot for $40 and hooked up to it instead of paying a $160 to do it. And pretty much all I paid for was food. But it was still fun and I still had a good time.

I joined Events and Adventures to have planned events to go to and do stuff. I'm not a big drinker, but a lot of stuff that Events & Adventures does, at least the Dallas club, seems to be triggered towards the drinking crowd. They do a lot of pub crawls or breweries, which really leaves me without anything to do because I don't drink like that. So that kind of blows sometimes. Also, I thought the whole point of the group was to be single, and it seems like a lot of people in the group are romantically involved with one person.

Another thing is that some of things that I want to do are done during the week. And that is pretty much a no-go for me. Sometimes I can make the volleyball regularly because I get off of work about 6 o'clock, and it's on the way home. So I just stop by and I play some volleyball and then I go home. But some of the stuff is out of the way for me to get to after I've been at work all day. I brought that up to whoever our person is and they said that the reason they do it during the week is because it's too full. They can't make a reservation on the weekend at the place that they're doing whatever it is that I wanted to do, which makes sense.

I liked that Events & Adventures was a social group for singles. Walking into it, maybe I would be a little bit nervous about walking into a situation and not knowing anybody. But, even though I don't know who I'm gonna see at the event tonight, I know that there will be people from Events & Adventures and I'll just go in, introduce myself and sit down and enjoy whatever company is there.

I've done several events like the new members icebreaker. I've seen a couple of people at a couple of different events and been able to just talk to them a little bit more. There's one girl in particular that I met that I've had communications with outside of Events & Adventures. I like all of the events but it's not just steady talk time that you could have, like when I was at an Astros game where there were quite a few girls and I did talk to one, and I've been to bingo where you talk kinda in between. It's still fun and it is what it's supposed to be, but my goal has always been to meet people so I like it when I can have the time to actually have a conversation.

A lot of my friends know that I do it and I tell them I love it. I'm at an age where most of friends are married and have children or grandchildren that they're always doing something with. I only signed up for six months and I know that's the more expensive route to take, but I wanted to make sure that I would like it. I tell all of my friends who have asked me about it that I love it. Even if I don't do anything, it's just nice to have something on my calendar that I could do if I wanted to. I don't see any reason at this point why I wouldn't renew and sign up again and I've told a few people about it who know people who probably should get involved themselves.

I felt good when I went to meet the person at Events and Adventures, so I signed up. I’ve been to the meet and mingle event and lots of people come to those. I’ve met several friends through there. And then I’ve been to the Las Margaritas restaurant for El Cinco de Mayo and I chatted with some friends there. I also went horseback riding and I loved it. It was really good. It’s always been a dream of mine to go horseback riding but just never got to it. I’m able to do a lot of things that I was not able to do just because there was no one to do it with. But now that people are going, and I’m signed up, it’s like a commitment that I will go and do it.

Events and Adventures is a really great club to meet new people and do a lot of fun activities together. They did a good job. I really liked the event host. She’s really, really nice and she’s very open and you can talk to her about anything. She always encourages me anytime she sees me to join more events and that they were so I happy that I joined. So, it’s a very positive environment.

The membership is for one year, but maybe Events and Adventures could make it six months at a time. I'm a full time student so right now, I 'm able to take advantage of getting out and doing a lot of activities but when school starts, I might not be able to do that. I would like to continue to come, and it would encourage me if I could do six months and then be able to come back again after six months.

I needed to get out some more and broaden my horizon. And it's nice to meet people you know are single. I joined Events and Adventures, and I was a little nervous before getting to my first event. It was a very small event and only two other women were there, but they were both very nice and set me at my ease. I try to average one event or trip a week, and I've been a member for about six months. It doesn't always work out, but still, I like the activities where I do something. I like the horseback riding, which I've been to a couple of times. And I like the escape room as well.

I went on a trip where we organized our own travel. It was a ferry and I stayed in a very nice hotel. I was fairly new to the organization and my mother's been having some health issues at that point in time. So I wasn't in the best frame of mind to go but everybody was very nice. I became friends with some people I've met at the event. And while I haven't done anything outside the events with anybody yet, I'm really looking more for people to go out and do activities with, and that's what I found. My favorite things with Events and Adventures are mostly the going out and doing things because while I have friends of my own, they're married and they have children and dogs. So, they don't always have time to go out and do something. They want to go to an escape room, but it's impossible to organize. So it's nice to have people to hang out with and do these things.

I moved to a new city on my own, and so I was just trying to make friends and figure out what things I could do in the city. My aunt brought Events & Adventures to my mother's attention, and then she suggested it to me. Before I arrived at the first event I went to, I was nervous. But, I got a phone call from the host letting me know, "Hey, I know this is your first event. How can we help", which was nice. I joined mid-January, and I've done between three and six per month that really interest me and that are within a reasonable distance because during the week I can't really make an hour drive somewhere and be all the way back and have the two-hour event. It is like a four-hour affair and I get off from work at 6:30. Nevertheless, my two favorites would be Snowshoe and Fondue. I've never been snowshoeing before that one, so that was a lot of fun.

Nevertheless, some more physical things like when I went biking with the people that I've met through the group on our own, but not through an actual event, was fun. I wish there are more things like that because there are lots of low-impact stuff and bar drinking, but I'm not a drinker. It was great going to a bar and listening to music, but it was super programmed and you were just standing around, and you did not really know who was part of the club and who was not. It was just difficult. I felt as though if I was not part of the club. Nevertheless, I went to one other and it was fine.

It has been difficult to meet females through the program though. I'm not the most social person. I'm kind of an introvert. But, I have really enjoyed the club and I'm taking full advantage of what they have to offer, so it is cool. There was this one guy in one event, and I have seen him in other events before. He was telling us about some people that he knew in the club and this and that, and I just got the sense from that event and from seeing him at the subsequent events that there is a click almost. But, I feel as though people that have been in the group for quite some time prior to this huge influx of people because I understand that like over the last maybe six to eight months like a lot more people have joined. It was not a big deal because it's not a huge portion of the population and those were just on one or two events, but it was just kind of weird because we are all part of the same club and we should all be hanging out.

Also, I brought my single brother to an event two weeks ago. He came by and visited me from Chicago. It was the bubble soccer event, which was really good. It was a ton of fun. But, like halfway through, for whatever reason, two guys just started targeting with the bubbles. He ended up hitting my brother twice and my brother was like, "I'm done". The second that you are not playing the ball and you are blind sighting someone, even if it is only a bubble, that is still dangerous. We responded the first forty-five minutes, and then we just left. A week ago, my brother's back still hurts. That would be the only downside so far. Some people get carried away and there is no check like the host doesn’t actually call all them out of it.

The fact that Events and Adventures was a singles club that went out and did things interested me and I've been to six events. Going to my first event, I felt anxious because it was something new. But my host made it really easy and the anxiousness completely went away. And I've done softball, a happy hour live music, and a pool party. My favorite, so far, is the trapeze class I did last week which was fun. I found new friends that I hang out with but as far as the guy potential, I’m a little disappointed in that. Many guys come but not many that would be my type. I feel like there’s a lot of socially awkward people. They’re really nice and it’s good as far as hanging out and doing the event, but no romantic feelings. The idea of the event seem pretty fun but, personally, some more clientele of guys might be better.

Also, I wish that they include the address and all the information when they send a reminder email so you don’t have to log back into your account to look it up. The way the calendar is set up, at least on my phone, is not very user-friendly. You have to scroll from the very beginning or whatever the current date is as opposed to seeing a calendar a month at a glance. I wish that you could just see a calendar and be able to click on the date. It would be easier to see everything at once and be able to click on a clickable link. But they do a really good job of preparing you who your host or your hostess is with their number and their picture.

There are a couple of upcoming events this weekend and I've got a lot going on. There's bowling on Friday, a Budweiser brew tour on Saturday, and batting cages next Wednesday. I've made a couple of new friends in the events that I attended. It has been really nice having this group of people that I've gotten a general feel for and that I get along with. It has been nice being able to look at the list of events and thinking that these are the things that I want to try and make it to. It was easy to find the host. And everybody was very nice and welcoming and everybody felt like they were in the same boat.

I've been to five events, and they've all been different, which is what I like because there were different opportunities and things to explore. I've gone to a few of their around-the-world dinner things where they pick a restaurant, you meet up and have dinner. I did the Cinco de Mayo Party Book Cruise and a book club, the Kangaroo Petting area one. I've made acquaintances and not necessarily friends at this point because the periods of time that you're introduced to these people are short, so it takes a few events to get to know somebody more thoroughly and not everybody is at the same events. And it's a variety of people. There are some my age, some younger and some who are significantly older. Overall, I've had a really good experience. Events and Adventures has paid trips, and with them, I don't have to plan out the hotel and airfare if I need to go somewhere. It's all kind of done for and they have deals to find out, so it's pretty nice to see that. However, it seemed that when I originally signed up for this club they kind of manipulated me. They said that 70% of their members are between the ages of 25 and 30. I’ve been to a good amount of events and that was not a good statistic to say. Events and Adventures is also advertising posters of people that they say are available even though they’re not in real life. They have photos of their members and they chose the good looking ones, but these people have been members for a long time and they already have their significant others.

It's a fun place to meet people, though. It’s also a really fun place if you’re not from the area or if you have a night or weekend job and you can’t hang out with your friends. You just gotta go to certain events. Because I’ve never done this before, I was nervous on my first event with them. But after a couple of events as I've seen more and more people, it started to get really fun. During my trips, I’ve met a group of friends and we hang out at least once a month outside of Events and Adventures.

My favorite activity was the winter Tahoe trip. We did snowboarding at Squaw Alpine Resort and that was pretty fun. The club had better events during summertime though, and on Fridays through the weekends, they had really fun ones--there was a glass blowing project, one was going up to Tahoe for camping and then the other was going to San Francisco. Since I am a firefighter and the weekends were my workdays where I'd work 72 hours straight, I couldn't do those stuff. But once my schedule changed during the winter time, I was able to go to a couple of events every month. And most of the time, the events that I looked at were closer for driving. Because I live near in San Jose, I didn’t feel like driving up to San Francisco for an event since that would be an hour up my way and an hour back, and then deal with parking. So, I’m trying to find most of the events in San Jose, like the Tahoe trip or anything like that locally.

Also, the pricing was just a little bit much. When they interviewed me, the special offer was only $1,900 a month and if I didn’t sign up, it would go up to $2,100 which I think I should have held out and see if I could get a better deal. I've also noticed that some of the pricing for Events and Adventures' trips have been expensive. I looked up the all-inclusive for the Mexico trip and it was $300 a night for a one bedroom person. I could actually look for that same trip except that it would be cheaper. So, Events and Adventures should include more stuff for their members who have paid a lot of money for membership but then sometimes would get charged for any event that’s pretty expensive. They could also give us a better discount more than what they say. People should not also commit to 18 months with this club. They should commit to six months and then see if they could negotiate on the pricing.

Events & Adventures was a good idea to me. I was interested that it is like a group of people getting together. I don’t necessarily have to know them, but they are all in the same boat and I don’t have to go find something to do. It’s already there for me. I was a little nervous before arriving to my first event, which changed after I arrived and met some people. I've joined a handful of events, which were kinda different in their own way. I’ve been on a hike, the rollerblading, a couple of the restaurant meets, and then poker night. And I've made new friends. I'll be going to an upcoming event and I'm excited for it.

The only thing is when it was sold to me, it sounded like half the events during the month would be free because it was already really expensive to join. But then there’s really nothing free about it and that’s really a big disappointment. And a few other members that I talked to feel the exact same way. So, if I go to an event, there’s gonna be a minimum of $20 no matter what. Most of the events are in downtown Houston and was awfully hard to park and that’s another $10 or $15 you’ve gotta drop if you wanna go. I also would recommend an app. With the amount of money we’re paying to be a member, they could take one person's membership fee to build an app. Technology is so easily done these days. I’ve not told a lot of the hosts that and a lot of the members would appreciate it as well.

Events and Adventures is non-threatening, just sort of do fun activities in a group of singles. It's very easy instead of online dating and just a way to get outdoors and do things I've never done before. I'm pretty new to the club but so far, it has been good. I'm a pretty social individual so I was looking forward arriving to my first event. Then, it got easier and more comfortable. I clicked with this one girl and we've been doing stuff even outside of the club. I've been to five events and trips. One of my favorites was when we learned how to make sushi. It was very interactive and we were face-to-face with the other people making sushi. Also, I traveled two hours from my home to visit a prison that's closed down and known for having ghost sightings. That was fun. However, the price is not for everybody. I'm okay with it and I'm willing to pay but other people are deterred because of the cost.

I was nervous before my first event with Events & Adventures. However, once I got into the event, it was fun and the nerves went away. The people there were friendly. I've been a member for about four months now and I've averaged about an event a week. I've been to book clubs, salsa dancing, Valentine's day party, chocolate tasting and the Seattle Underground Tour. I've also been to trampoline and dodgeball events as well as Keys on Main, Cooking with Anita and Pacific Rim: Uprising. All the events were really fun and I enjoyed hanging out with people. When I think about the stuff I enjoyed, sometimes it's not even the event. What's nice is that afterward, people all go to a bar nearby and hang out. Events & Adventures has been worth it so far. If people are interested in getting out more, I highly recommend it.

I've been to several events with Events and Adventures. I've been to a karaoke event and an icebreaker followed up by a dance lesson. Recently there was also a candy factory tour. These were minor events but still, I made new friends. However, there are a couple of things that I don't think are ideal. For instance, I didn't think the way they signed people up was good business. I don't like being told one thing then I would get to an event and talk to another member to find that they got what I was asking for. They have an interview process and they tell you whether you're acceptable to them. They found me acceptable and when I asked if I have a few days to think about my decision, they tell me that the acceptance was only good right then. That's a hard sell.

What I really wanted was a trial period to see if I liked Events and Adventures. At that time, I didn't know any of their people or what their events would be like. They were asking me to sign up for a year contract without me knowing anything about the club. But, they said that a trial membership wasn't available. At the time, I signed up but then at the very first event I went to, somebody else got a trial membership. It's a double standard and they weren't honest with me.

Furthermore, I'm in a unique situation because I don't live right in Denver. I live two hours away and so sometimes, it's hard for me to get to a certain event because they are long ways away. Also, sometimes, they don't hold the better events on weekends that I'm more available. On some weekends, they might have a trail around or a hike. While that's fine, they have no evening events. The events that interest me most are the exciting events like Escape Room. There were three such events but each one of them was limited to seven people.

Another time they told me there are a thousand people in the club and they're doing an event. However, by the time I see the event on the website, it's booked up and full with seven people as well. That's ridiculous. If they’re going have a thousand people in the club, that event should have been held seven days in a row with 20 people. The company should make it available to everybody. It's been impossible thus far and I'm trying to figure out how to get to the events. I wish Events and Adventures would schedule events better and have more on weekends.

With Events and Adventures I have events set to go and meet people. The events have all been local, like one day I had a wine tasting little tour. The first event was fun. But after a few more months my feelings had changed for it. I feel like it's more of a money-grab than it is of entertaining people because we pay so much for the year for our membership fees and everything. I understand they are working hard and trying to do everything they can to schedule at least 30 events plus. But I feel like with that much of a membership, some of the things that we're getting charged for we can go off and schedule for ourselves for only $25, but the organization will charge you $30 to go off and join. I haven't been to that many events recently for that reason.

I've met people to where we've scheduled things outside of E and A and everything. I'm currently dating an E and A member. So that portion of it is working out right. But they need to make the internet website a lot of more user-friendly or even consider trying to find somebody who can make an app for the phones that we use because trying to go to the internet website with a phone can just be a little bit aggravating at times. Some days I'm happy about Events & Adventures but some days I'm not.

I went to an interview at the Chicago office. It sounded quite interesting. However, after explaining how the membership works and what it provides, the saleswoman switched to high-pressure sales tactics. She kept agreeing with me on a lot of stuff earlier on, claiming to also be introvert who found Events & Adventures very helpful before she was employed by them, yet how she described her social life told me the opposite. (Perhaps she was mistaking claustrophobia for introversion.) Because of the lack of useful details or even pricing on their website, I wanted a brochure that I could read before I made my decision. I also wanted a copy of the contract to read and think about before I signed it, and maybe have my lawyer take a look and give me her opinion, but the saleswoman told me multiple times that they are a "private club" and don't just give out that information to anybody.

The pricing also didn't make sense, and I explained this to her. They wanted $2695 if I signed up during the interview or $3195 if later, yet many of the events require what appears to be almost the full price to attend. She told me that I'm paying them to organize the events. She became offended when I explained that I prefer to do research, to read reviews, especially before signing a contract that involves spending that much money. She immediately sat back upset, pointed at my phone, and said, "Go ahead! Read reviews!" She tried to make me feel bad for not immediately signing up after she had gone through the trouble of doing the interview, saying that she had thought she found a perfect candidate in me.

She even appeared to tear up a little, which didn't look real, and she stopped that when I didn't budge. I was sincerely interested, but I'm not stupid. I really wanted to research and then decide, but this saleswoman's tactics have completely destroyed any chance of me trusting Events & Adventures. I want absolutely nothing to do with companies that use high-pressure sales tactics!

I was nervous and apprehensive before arriving at my first event, but going through that with a group of people that was going through the same thing eased that tension. I went to the San Francisco Symphony, I've done a bowling event, two dinners, one event at a Brazilian steakhouse and the other one at a French restaurant, nd I also did a dance night.

The events have all been very interesting experiences and a lot of them are during the week. And then, we had shared events between San Jose and San Francisco and a lot of those events that interest me are in San Francisco which is a problem to deal with ‘cause I have to commute up there and find parking. But other than that, it's been a pretty amazing experience. I'm planning on going to a formal ball at the end of this month. I did a whisky tasting at some point and ice skating. We also went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the Academy of Sciences, which is my favorite so far. But I'm kind of bummed because there doesn't seem to be a lot of events like that.

There was an Exploratorium trip that I ended up not going to ‘cause I had somewhere else I needed to be. The next month was the Academy of Sciences which I made sure that I signed up for. Then after that there was nothing like that. Last month there was something like that but it was far from where I was at so I ended up not going to it either. I found myself sitting there with absolutely nothing to do, and I figured I'd pull the trigger on it. I was terrified during the first event, but my perception shifted not even just within the club, but approaching people outside the club. I try and hit at least one event a week if I can. There were two different pool holes that we went to for pool hole nights, and those were fun. And then, there's a place called the Board Game Republic here in town and I catch that one every month, and it's pretty fun as well. I've definitely acquired a handful of new friends.

However, the Denver Club might be getting a little bigger than just one event or one club's worth of events being scheduled. It might be a consideration for Events and Adventures to split it into a Northern Colorado-Southern Colorado, two-club situation out here. It's starting to get difficult to get onto some of these events 'cause they fill up so fast at this point. And, one a night might not be enough anymore. Other than that, it's been great.

I was finding a good partner and I got into Events and Adventures. I did a New Year's Eve party for my first event and I was pretty excited about it. The person that I did the initial interview with told me how great it was going to be but I wasn't very impressed when I got there. I've gone to a half dozen events so far. I'm very athletic and I enjoy fun and athletic games. They have volleyball which is one of the better ones. There was probably more guys than girls and I enjoy it but there’s not a lot of potential. Also, it would be nice if they would do some sort of more in-depth free trials so that people could check it out and make sure that it’s gonna work for them. I trusted the person that sold me the membership but it was not the level that she described it.

I had a friend that was in Events & Adventures years ago, and she really liked it. I wanted to do something fun this year so I joined. We did a dinner happy hour type of thing during my first event. I was a little bit nervous then, but I was more excited. Since the, I've been to about eight events and I really like some of the cultural events like museum. Then there's been a happy hour or dinner events at unique restaurants like in a Viking restaurant or the Tiki bar. And I'm going on a winery tour this weekend. I feel the only drawback is that particular group does a lot of regular things. And there are a number of member that play volleyball and go to the same bar every week. Those are okay, but I'm not really interested with that because I'm not much of a person for habit. I like to try new things.

I like going to meet new people all the time. And I have met a lot of fun people to hang out with. I even dated one guy for a month but it didn't really work out. My experience with Events & Adventures has been pretty good overall. But I would love to see more unique or a seasonal type of cultural thing around the city that is out of the ordinary or only happens once a year. I've recommended Events & Adventures to a couple of friends, but the expense was something that they weren't as interested in. A number of the events are paid and there's a very few free events.

A friend referred me to Events & Adventures. I was interested in meeting new people and having new experiences through my club membership. I've attended six events and doing piano night was the event that I liked most. I was excited before arriving at the first event that I attended, but it turned out to be fairly boring after I arrived. I have paused my membership, though. The caliber or quality of the membership is not where I would like it to be, although the premise is fairly good. They could screen the members more. Nonetheless, my membership wasn't a total loss since I was able to make new friends, even though I wasn't able to find a significant other. But I would not recommend Events & Adventures to anyone. The value proposition is just not there. The amount of money that is required for the club membership, plus the ancillary cost of the events, are not worth what you'd be getting out of it.

I'm doing the Louisiana Cajun Boil on Sunday, and I am doing salsa dancing which I haven't done before. It's totally worth the money and I'd recommend it to all my friends.

I was bored and I wanted something to do, and I wanted to explore Phoenix. I've been to at least 60 events with Events and Adventures, and I'm an introvert so I was nervous on the first one I went to. But when I started talking to people and got to know a couple of them, it calmed me down a bit. And I was more confident going into other events. I do pickleball and Postinos regularly, and they're my favorites. I like the sports and my first event was pickleball and I loved it so I kept going back. And Postinos is a restaurant that we do once a month, and every time I've been there, it's been a great time. I've also been to International Eats a few times.

I'd be doing dancing to 90's music tomorrow, and I'll be attending it for a little while, for I got a work overnight. And then, next Tuesday, I'd go to "The Unlimited Fun" at some place here in Phoenix. I've never been there before, but I hear people talking about it, so I signed up. So, I'll go. And then, I'm going to Ghost Tour next Friday, and I'm really excited for it. I'm really excited.

Events & Adventures is amazing. There are tons of great people, and I've made new friends. I've met at least one new person at every one of the events that I've been to, but the exception of pickleball a couple of times because it's a smaller crowd and it's usually similar people that are there. I come from a very small town and coming to a bigger city is overwhelming. There's so much stuff to do. So, I needed to sign up for stuff, go do something, and get out of the house. I would literally go to work, I'd come home, do some school work, and go to bed, and repeat every single day. There's so much to do in Phoenix, but I don't know what to do and I have nobody to go with. And then I heard about Events & Adventures so I tried it.

I had just relocated out of state and I needed to get out and meet people. I'm single and I don’t have any intention of getting married anytime soon, so making a bunch of friends that were married and have small children didn’t seem appealing. During my first event with Events and Adventures, I didn’t know what to expect. So, there was a little bit of nerves 'cause even though you go in and meet the team that works in the office, you don't know who's gonna be out there and how it's gonna go. But it went fine. There was a good range of people of different ages, definitely more women than men, but that wasn’t necessarily an issue for me because I was more looking to meet people and not necessarily a relationship.

I started in late January and I've done six or seven events. There are times at the end of the month where I have a couple of events in a week. Then, some events that I want to go to would fall on a day I couldn’t make it to. The Columbia Tower Observatory Deck event was pretty cool. Everything was perfect timing. The weather was good so we got to feel the sunset around all of Seattle. And there was a decent amount of people that showed up. We've certainly had some events where there are only four or five other people. This one had 20 plus people that were signed up. It was definitely something I would have done, but I probably wouldn’t have done without the group. I also signed up for the Greece trip in June.

There are two people that I talk to outside of the group now just from meeting them in an event. And then, there are probably four or five people I know by name, so if we end up in the same event, I know them well enough that we could say hi to each other. But I notice sometimes that there's a lot of events clustered on weekends where they'll have one in the morning and two at night. So if you really wanna go to both of them, you can't. You're forced to miss out on something. But I would tell my friends to go and try Events and Adventures. For somebody who's new to it, if they could go to an event, then they'll see how cool it is.

I was excited about going to my first event. But right after the hurricane there was a period where I didn’t go to any because I got flooded and then I kind of made up for it after that.

The activities were a little lot harder than I expected it to be. I've done hang gliding and that has been one of my favorites. Skydiving is on the list but I kept getting rained out so I didn’t take my chances on that one. And making new friends was once again a hit-and-miss. Some of them I’ve made friends and have no problem hanging out with them. But it seems like more of the regular attendees have been a lot older. That was my first concern when I first joined. The median age was a lot older than kind of we were led to believe. But they got some younger new members now. It has gotten better in the recent months.

I was a little nervous on my first event because I haven’t done anything like that in a while but it was good. I always pictured that new person that it’s good to know them but people are not always going to be like that. Sometimes you have to get up and talk to them as well but most of the time, people were just welcoming.

I was at a chocolate tasting, to an Oyster Bar, a few Trivia Nights and a Burlesque Show. I also went to a few hikes. I grew up playing ice hockey, but skating was fun, and I enjoyed all the events in a similar way. Also, in the past two months, I have made more friends than I have made in a year and a half. You get to do stuff that you don’t usually do by yourself and you have a chance to meet good people. It’s not what people think and I would recommend it.

In the new hires' orientation, I called whoever was listed over there and that person did not pick up the phone call. But, somehow, I ended up finding the place. I was excited, did wall climbing which was good, and I enjoyed it. I try to go to one or two events a week. Sometimes, however, I do not go for a couple of weeks. And then, sometimes, I go for a four in a week. There was only one event that I did not like because we spent a lot of money going to a hotel and it felt boring, but I like all others. My favorite was the Halloween -- house parties ended up being loads better. I was also supposed to go to the archery thing, but that got canceled. I'm going to the Wild West next.

I've made a lot of friends already in attending these events. I like dancing with different kinds of people and staying in a group. I like the work-life balance it gives, which is the best thing, because I have to work all day. Nevertheless, they should improve feedback, like buying an online system that improves it, rather than just comments or discussion. People are not going to give them feedback right away, and if they don’t like something, they just try something else.

Also, their mobile site is not compatible with their desktop site. When I sign up in the mobile site, it behaves weird, especially with the calendar. People use mobile sites because when they are on the go, they want to know what is happening right now. They end up looking at the calendar and it does not show that they are signed up just like it shows on the desktop side. So, you may end up signing up more than once, which has happened to me. Still, with Events and Adventures, there are things that you may not have even tried in your life and you get to try them with friends.

It seem like it was more older. They had some kind of a new mixers for new people at the clubhouse and after that it was like a game night. But I enjoyed the horse racing thing much more than the mixers. A lot of the events are cool. Like you would go mainly to probably do the events and maybe by chance you'd meet somebody or make more friends. I like that I have the opportunity to meet new people at Events & Adventures. I was a little nervous before arriving at my first event but it changed a little when I arrived. I like the more active stuff that we've done, like camping trips, zip lining, rock climbing, laser tag, paintball, stuff that I wouldn't normally do on my own but easier to do with a group of people. I've also done karaoke and sand volleyball. They did a Ninja Warrior thing like the American Ninja Warrior, so it's pretty cool. We've gone to the Arboretum, to Rough Creek Lodge and I like that as well. And then last year, we did some pool party just at people's houses.

I found joining Events & Adventures to be a great experience. But mostly because of the girlfriends I've met. I've made so many more new friends and I've experienced things that I wouldn't have before. However, I have not met the caliber of a guy that I would actually want to go out with. I do wish that pool of the opposite sex was people that I would consider dating.

Also, I'd like the chance for us to have more voice on some of the stuff we do. I'm a single mom so I'm only free certain weekends, so it's frustrating when I have a free weekend and then I don't like anything on the calendar 'cause it stinks. I don't like the events when it's just going to a bar or doing a pub crawl. Sitting around a bar, drinking is kind of lame. 'Cause one of the reasons why I joined was to retire of going to the bar. I wanted to do more fun and active things that I wouldn't normally do. Now, it's better if it's something like a place that serves alcohol but it also has a band playing or some other fun activity, or they serve drinks but you can also bowl and play later, talk on something.

I've been to five events, so far and my favorite was when I went to volunteer at the wolf sanctuary. I'm an animal lover. I also went to a comedy show, to a game night, and then I went to a pool at the Derek. It's a good investment. I will tell my friends if they ask about Events and Adventures, "If you’re actually interested in a real relationship, you might want to join an organization where they screen the people and make sure that everyone is interested in the same thing that you are.” And that’s one of the main things that I liked about it. I'm single and a friend mentioned to me that Events and Adventures is a group I should look into. Thus far, I've liked it because of the organized activities calendar. But, what I am finding is that there are not a lot of singles in my desired age group which is 40 to 60 and so that's a little trickier. I'm 50 and Events and Adventures is a little harder for me because my interests are different and so my income compared to younger groups of people. I don't mind meeting younger people but I want to meet people my own age who are single and possibly dateable. Though I know that's not the whole purpose of the group, it's what I'm looking for.

At my first event, I was anxious because it was tough to leave the house and go meet a bunch of strangers when I didn't know anybody. I was coming from the north side of town and the clubhouse was in the downtown area. I'm not a big fan of going downtown but once I got there it wasn't hard to find. Also, I like knowing that every time I go to an event, there is a host who will check off that I've arrived. So there will be one person that I know I'm going to meet. I feel like those hosts are an accountability partner or are at least keeping everybody together. That's reassuring and it's one of the things I liked about the event. You also know that you will find them. The hosts have a sign and it's obvious. There's also a picture so you know who you're looking for. They also have the check-in sheet with them so that's something I find as a comfort.

20 to 30 somethings are awesome and fun to hang out with but I don't want to be anybody else's mom. Now, I love what Events and Adventures is putting on the calendar which I'm choosing to get involved with. I'm not a big fan of the house party stuff, sitting around the table and being stuck with the same four people for two hours. Instead, I like the higher dollar things that are competitive to do. For this month, I have signed up for the clay shoot and bowling. Eventually, I will get into sand volleyball.

Out of the events I have gone to, go-karting was my favorite. It's something I already do on my own but it was fun to do with a different group of people. My second favorite was the clay shoot. I also loved the black light miniature golf because we were in small groups of four or five people and we got more time to challenge one another while we were moving around. There was an activity within the activity itself and then a group of us decided to go someplace for a dinner at Taco Cabana and continue hanging out with one another. While I didn't meet anybody that night whom I felt was datable, it was fun to interact and hang out with younger people because they were interesting and energetic.

However, I haven't done any of the trips on Events and Adventures because unless I know a bunch of people who are going to be going and that the trip is something that we all share interest in, I don't know if I would do the trip. When I do trips, they're road trips and generally far away. I don't camp and instead I stay in a $55 motel. Still, I don't like to be at the mercy of someone else's agenda. My agenda on a road trip is usually ambitious and there are things that I definitely want to see. If there will be downtimes, I find ways to fill it. If I were to go on a trip and then I would get stuck with people who aren't in my age group or fitness level, I would be a little concerned. One of the reasons I go on trips is to do exercise since I'm a big hiker. I can hike seven miles at a given time on a Sunday and that's not the fitness level of most people in my group.

Also, Events and Adventures hit and miss on announcements. They have a calendar and I sign up on it. I then get an email when I've signed up for an event and the email tells me I'm supposed to go there. It would be nice to have emails that are sent as a reminder stating that I have to do a certain event the following day and who my host is. I'm on the go a lot and I don't sit in front of my computer as often as other people. It would be nice to have a reminder via email a day or two before the event I signed up for.

For someone my age, Events and Adventures is fun to do for about three months or to kick start getting them out of the house. For younger people who have just left college who don't have that friend set and don't want to make all their friends be people they work with, Events and Adventures would work for them. Overall, I like the concept of the company. The membership ideas make you want to participate in the events because you're paying to be part of them versus online dating where you can be lazy sitting on your couch. Still, I would like to see a few more people a little older than me.

I've been through about 10 events so far. Some were games at the venue and then one of them was Christmas light tour of Houston City. And then some right sporting games like fencing, which I liked. But I liked the paintball game the most. The next thing that they should try is to personally hook up people who are interested in certain things. So I signed up for Events and Adventures. Last weekend, I did the tree planting. I also went to one of the ceramics place and made some jewelry there. And then I did a couple of the museum trips and then one of the dinners. For my favorite events, it's a tie between the hike and the scavenger hunt that we did for the 4th of July. Then later this month, I'm doing a volunteer event.

So far, I've attended less than 10 events but it's because my home got flooded from hurricane Harvey. I would have done a lot more but I had to take a break for a little bit to handle all of that. Each time I arrive at events, I feel more comfortable. Because usually, there's at least one person there that I've seen before and that helps. There's a lot of warm people and that's one of the things that I really like. Because I'm an introvert so it helps with welcoming faces. I don't think I've ever felt uncomfortable, but it's more of the not sure who or what I'm going to encounter when I'm going somewhere new. But now, I have new friends. I did tell a couple of my married friends about it. And if a friend asks, depending on what their situation is, I would tell them that Events and Adventures is worth trying. And I hope it would be a good fit for them.

I heard from the radio that Events & Adventures was only for singles and they said that it was only to travel and to do events together. I was open and excited about everything they had to offer because I believe that's my category. I participated at events a few times. I have already gone roller skating, wallyball-ing and then I went to Game Night or some night there at the offices. I've been trying to keep up and go to the events because I do like going out, meeting other people, seeing people and participating to the events with them. I liked the wallyball and skating a lot. I had paid for my membership because I thought it would be a good thing to do and that it would give me the opportunity to meet other people my age.

I also went to the country lesson dancing event one time after the zoo but it hasn’t happened again. I met other people and one of them is Michael. I actually was looking forward to that event again that he said he's in. But I haven't thought about a significant other. Events & Adventures have ongoing events all the time and they're a lot of time. I went to a place where they play games and I just don’t want to play poker, that’s why I didn't stay longer. And the guy said, "Ma'am, that person were playing poker" because I didn’t know how to play that but it looks interesting.

I've been part of Events & Adventures for four months now and it was fun in the beginning because people would go up and say, “Hey, you’re new. Hi.” I'm a disabled veteran and my memory is absolutely horrible. But I see the same people time and time again. It was boring because you talk to the same people and there are several, I’d rather never see again. Also, I didn't find a lot of the activities very fun. There were a lot of pub crawls and some people would love it. But I didn't enjoy it because I don’t drink and I can’t understand a thing from anyone. Half of the stuff are things I don't really care to see or go to. When there is something good, it's a lot of fun but it has been a bad decision of my life.

Updated on 11/17/2023: I have been with Events and Adventures for almost six years and I've had a wonderful time with them. I enjoyed going out, I enjoyed the event as well as meeting new people. I met a lot of friends. I know that if there's an evening that I feel like going out, there's probably an event that I can go to. A couple of Tuesdays ago, I went to wallyball. It's volleyball on a racquetball court.

Original Review: My co-worker told me about Events & Adventures. I thought I'd give it a try. I was skeptical before I arrived at my first event but a lot of information was given to me at the time that made me want to go ahead and proceed, like meeting new people and hanging out, doing the same thing that I was interested in. I attended four events in two weeks and they were volleyball, wallyball, a bar-type doing piano and a game night. I enjoyed the sporting events because of the activity and it's also easier to socialize than the loud bar scene. However, joining Events & Adventures was expensive. I wish it was a little cheaper.

I was interested in the different activities done by Events & Adventures. I became a member and have attended 8 events so far. The karaoke bar is one of my favorites and I’m going to Bingo tonight. I've met a few acquaintances and we always go together to events. Also, about two weeks ago, I met a group of friends and we decided after the event to get a drink and just talk. It turned into a good time and so we’ve been planning stuff outside of the club. While the membership fee is a bit pricey, it’s definitely worth it in the end. The events itself aren’t very pricey at all. To do it initially, they're upfront. Yet I hope they'd have an app, at least for the android. There’s no E&A app that one can go easily to check events and stuff that one's supposed to be coming up on.

I joined Events and Adventures because I am tired of online dating. I thought it would be a more organic way of meeting people. And it is. The events are fun. However the cost is outrageous considering that there are meet up groups that do the same types of events and don't have a monthly fee. I paid upfront and figured if I didn't like it I would cancel. I am a single mom and have my daughter half time. I am 41 years old and consider myself to be good looking and active and fun and intelligent. I am only able to go to half of the events because I have my daughter so I would say I went to about 4 or 5 events a month. I have given this the good college try but the men in the group are not for me! So I contacted the company to see about a refund for the remaining months that I have not used. They have refused a refund, and mind you it is for services I have not used yet.

The men that come to these events are socially awkward, unattractive, or immature, or all three. I wouldn't even be friends with most of them let alone date them. I have lived in Denver for a long time so I don't need new friends or something to do socially, but I would like to find that special someone. This group seems to be better for people who are looking for more of a social life. I don't even want to go to any more events because it will be the same people that I have no interest in getting to know. I am extremely frustrated that they will not give me my money back and that their cancelation policy is so small no one could read it. I would not recommend this group to any woman who is looking for a relationship, 98% of the men in the group are not relationship material.

I liked that there was a different activity every day with Events and Adventures. My schedule is kind of weird. It isn’t always lined up with my friends so I like that there's always something to do with E & A even if it's like last minute, “Oh, okay. Well, everyone's busy tonight." That’s fine because I can go do wallyball or go see a movie or something with people who I know are going to be friendly.

I was a little bit nervous because I didn’t know how many people would be new. But it went well and I've been really enjoying it. I really liked the Valentine Mardi Gras thing. That was a lot of fun. And I'm going to the Bingo Night tonight. And then I saw some interesting things coming up this month, like going to the Menil Museum and all sorts of little things. I did see that there was a Vegas trip but as soon as I saw it it was already full. I was like, “Oh.” But this is my first month with them and I've been to maybe five or six events and made a lot of friends.

I think as long as people go into it with a positive attitude and looking to meet friends and be friendly they'll have a good experience. I did meet a few people who were like, “Oh, I've been in this for like six months and it's not what I thought it was going to be,” but then throughout the events all they do is keep to themselves. I know not everyone is very outgoing but I am so I was like trying to start conversations, trying to get them involved and they just made the choice not to get involved. You definitely have to want to be friendly and make friends if you're going to get the most out the organization.

But my only thing is I'm turning 24 next month and I feel like in terms of like the dating element of it, which I know is -- it wasn’t something that I was specifically looking for, but I do feel like nine times out of 10 I'm like the youngest person in the group, which kind of turns people away from that as a prospect. So that’s probably my only thing. But I'm fine with it since I've been making a lot of friends. That was just something I noticed.

I would tell my friends to just join. I know when I first joined I didn’t really know 100% what I was getting myself into but throughout the interview process the one who interviewed me seemed really fun. And I was like, “You know what, let me just take a chance.” She said, “What do you have to lose?” And I was like, “That’s a good point. What do I have to lose?” So I just like pulled the trigger. Just do it. It was worth it. Even if you're not the most social person there will be always be at least a couple of events throughout the month that you will enjoy. There's something for everyone.

My favorite was when we went out to a wolf sanctuary. We did some volunteer work out there and I helped the people who run it do some clean up. I thought that was really cool. I like wolves and they were really pretty and I just like giving back to the community. There were a bunch of us out there and they were cool. We got more done.

Last weekend we were camping with about 30 participants. Most of the ones I've been to have been pretty much with different people every time but I can see being friends with a few of them that I met. My experience has been pretty awesome so far. I'm recommending Events & Adventures to people who are single and have money for it.

He was really nice and really comforting. I've been to 30 events so far including a lot of drinking activities, beach volleyball, indoor volleyball, a Halloween party, and a Bingo night and I signed up for an upcoming Trivia Night. But my favorite would be the one on New Year's Eve. The last four months that I’ve been in it, I have made over a hundred friends. Sometimes I don’t even go to the events anymore just because I hang out with the people that I met in the group. I’ve already told some people that it has been a great experience. All the events they host are awesome and I've met some great people that I've connected with on and off the events. There's a lot of like-minded individuals. Everybody's got a different personality, but they're on the same page.

I've been to at least six events, my favorite being the one at Studio Eighty, an 80's dance club which was a blast. There was also the Ice Breaker/Valentine's Day Mardi Gras Masquerade party, which was a lot of fun. Everybody at E&A is receptive to suggestions from members as far as what events would be good to add on or to look into. I've told some of my friends that they should come out with me to at least a couple of the events to check it out. There might be something that they might want to jump on.

Events & Adventures has been really great. My sister had a friend who was involved or had known about Events & Adventures then my sister mentioned it to me. I thought it was a meetup group at first and I never realized how structured it was. But once I got in and talked with Ian and everybody, it's been a perfect fit for me. For about a month, I've been to about 4 events in a week and they’ll probably slow down a little bit, but I like it. I've attended the Valentines party, Game Night, Trivia, Book Club, a lot of different ones, and quite a few little things like a kitchen event where a bunch of people cook meals and eat a four-course meal. I’m looking at doing some of the trips in the future but I’m just keeping busy and meeting people right now. I usually tell people E&A is amazing and describe it as having a personal assistant that set things up for me. Then I show up, everything’s going, people are there, and I see friends. I’m really enjoying it.

I was looking for dance lessons at Red River here in Dallas when I saw Events & Adventures on the search engine so I clicked on it. I didn't have any idea what it was but it was a quick room calendar event for us to see what dance lessons were going to be available at what time. It prompted me to go and they got my email. It’s been three weeks now since I join them and I gave them $1000 for six months. I had a felony when I was 17 and then there was a domestic violence I had when I was 32. I'm 43 now so that's been over 11 years and I told them about that but they still took my money.

I started going to events and it seemed fun at first. I started talking to the host and we were hanging out exclusively. I told her from the beginning that I wanted to just be friends and feel they start to look at me with different eyes and we need to slow it down. She got hurt at that point so she winked out and then said, "You need to do a more extensive background check on Wayne," and they called me on Monday with that. I got another phone call on Tuesday and they said I was smoking marijuana in the parking lot out of the vent. It was not true and I felt that she was gunning at me and seeing as how she was using her clout to get people to side with her and make fictitious stories about me.

I told Events & Adventures that I won’t come to any event and I just want my money back. I’ve reached out to them several more times yesterday to see where it was at. Today I got some unrecorded phone calls including an email from the woman in question who happens to be a lawyer. Events & Adventures is not really a dating thing but more of a drinking thing. Generally there are some good, hardy people for the most part except for the two that I came in close contact with that turned out to be quite decent.

I go to work and school and I don't have much time to do anything, so I figured that Events and Adventures would be a cool way to go. I've been to a week's worth of events since New Year's and after the first one, I thought it was pretty cool. It was a kickball game and I enjoyed it. I also enjoyed the crawfish party. There are a lot more people in the crowd that you normally don't see because everybody has different schedules, so I thought that was fun. And it's cool because you get to see a lot more people that you normally wouldn't see otherwise. So far, there are people I've met that I've planned to do stuff with even if outside of the club. But I realized I personally don't have enough time to even go to some of the events, like I wish I could.

Events and Adventures is a nice club, but we have to go online and log on to it. If they had an app, we could just click on the app and then our information would already be saved, so it'd be easy to access. And then we could just pull up all the events all at once as opposed to having to go someplace else. Also, I read the contract on what you need to do to terminate it, and it's inconvenient to a lot of people. I wanted to terminate my contract two days ago, not because I don't enjoy the club but because I just don't have time to go to most of the events. However, if you want to terminate your contract, you have to pay the remainder of what you owe. It's not fair if you're not paying for the rest of the amount of time. Even if it's just a $200 fee, I'd be okay with that. But they want you to pay two thousand dollars upfront.

My family wants me to get out of the house so I went to my first event with Events and Adventures which was the New Year’s Eve party. It was an awesome party but I have really bad anxiety and I was really nervous. There were 170 people at the event and it was crazy. Throughout the night, I had two little panic attacks but it wasn't bad. The party was fun but that was just not the best one to go to.

I've done three events and that included one where they rented out a local aquarium. There's an event this Sunday and it’s already booked. I’m so mad because it’s up in Bailey which is like in my backyard. I’ve been checking that one every day and I’m still on the waiting list. There should be a lot of the spacing for the events, probably for 20 people. Events and Adventures should improve on that a little bit. I heard there are four of us in Evergreen that are in this group so it would be nice to open up a little bit and we have some more things. But I know it’s hard to do and I totally get that.

Another is Events and Adventures is expensive and I'm a single mom. My membership right now is $150 a month which is pretty pricey for me. And some events have been a pain. I’m in the book club with this group which is really nice except the place that they’re doing the book club is way down in town. I get lost in Denver really easily even with my GPS. My problem is everything is way in downtown Denver. It can take up to an hour and a half for me even come down. That’s just really frustrating for me and it's hard to carpool up here. Other than that, it's been an interesting experience. I’ve been talking about Events and Adventures at work and my boss wants to see pictures and tells me that I have to go.

I went to a Renaissance festival and I felt a little nervous and it kind of remained a little throughout, but I still had contact info. I had already been to a few of those before. So, it wasn’t like I felt completely lost, but it was really the group and people would break off and kind of separate. But I texted other folks in the group that once were whom I carpooled with and then the actual leader or the host of the group. I was trying to find the group. I got back together with the group and it wasn’t stressful. So, there was a good response and it worked out well.

I liked the trivia nights and the hiking even though I'm on the older end of the group that goes hiking. I think everybody’s really relaxed and it doesn’t feel at all like a meat market. You can tell the people who are really there to find a life partner, but that seems to be few and far between. I have an event tonight which is a Great Love Debate and Saturday morning is a hike. And then, for March, the calendar comes out around the 15th of the month. I've signed up for about five or six events in March.

And I also like when I met with the person to go and be interviewed. She got where I was coming from and she had interviewed other people. And one of the first people I met was someone that reached out the carpooling and it was obvious that it's like, “Okay. Yeah.” I just could tell like when he said he interviewed with her, the same exact person. I thought it had that additional layer of safety and comfort and I didn’t get a jerky vibe. The only time I've gotten that from anybody is where I feel like they drink more than healthy for them, but that’s anywhere and everywhere.

I was married for almost 20 years but got divorced. And so, I hadn’t been on a date in quite a long time. I'm kind of reserved and shy. So, for me to just run around, gathering people together wouldn’t be normal. I liked the idea that there would be a huge variety of activity and things were planned and organized. There's a meeting time and a contact person. I like the idea of the structure of it and you can opt in or out. It's not like you're committed to every single type of activity or the choices available.

All in all, I've attended 30 to 40 events/trips. And I have recommended Events and Adventures to friends. And for different reasons, I travel too much. I don’t do events on the weeks I have kids. So, I really use it half the time as it were, but I still feel, even though I paid the membership ahead of time, it's a good value and I use it unlike a gym membership, which I never used and regret having.

I also did cooking and kayaking but it’s just not something that’s really for me.

I was very dissatisfied with them because a couple of thousand dollars was a lot of money and I got nothing out of it. And the way that I've signed up gave no opportunity to find out what they were really about. It would be helpful if they have some way to know on their website and without having to call the office if an event would generally attract an age group or to know the age group that signed up for an event.

I was tying up loose ends and I didn't spend a lot of time with my co-workers, except outside of work so I gave Events & Adventures a shot. My first event was at a bowling alley and it was fine. I wasn't thrilled but it was not horrible either. I have attended maybe five events so far and they've all been not my thing when I get there. There was the orientation, the train, a wine tasting, a party bus, and one or two more. I'm a little disappointed with what I spent. I spent way too much to be paying additional money online for each event and it's too high for the money that I unloaded. The wine tasting was awful AND really turned me off. I wasn't thrilled with that. The wine was really bitter. One of the guys came in late and he saw me and stood right in front of me. He was extremely rude and I could've made a scene and unloaded on that guy but I held my mouth.

I haven't made any new friends and it looks like you have to fake. I don’t see most of the people that I clicked with on a regular basis. It's very hit and miss, and it's hard to come across as like "Are you coming to any other?" If you want to see somebody again, it's very hard for somebody to approach them without coming off as stalker-y, and that's something that Events & Adventures should address. They should set something up and provide some feedback if somebody likes you. Another concern is on the website. It shows how many people have signed up but we don't know who's coming. It's a safety thing.

They may at least give out the gender of the ones who are coming or the number of guys and girls who are showing up. There are very few events and it's going to be hard-pressed to find an actual event for intellectuals. The Escape Room is something that I'm probably going to be at and something that I would look forward to. If they could have more things like that or if they see something that's being filled up really fast, they might like to throw that out there a little more.

    Frank-

I am so sorry to hear about your experience and that you have not found the group demographics to your liking, this is constantly changing however!

At this point if you wish to have some recommendations on which events attract which age groups, males v females etc. we can have our event manager reach out to you directly. She would be great with helping with this.

I do not see that you have reached out to corporate yet in regards to your dissatisfaction, I would love to see what I can do for you. I hope you will reach out to me directly to discuss your account. I can make sure you have a copy of your agreement and any policies are explained correctly, and we can look into your specific situation and discuss some options.

I moved to the Dallas area and I was looking to meet other single people to hang out with. I was a little nervous but excited about my first event with Events & Adventures. I have since done an average of 5 events a month and they’ve all been good. It's just an enjoyable group, and I'm scheduled to do the trip to South America in April. Events & Adventures is a great opportunity to try different things.

I wanted to get an opportunity to get out and try new things and meet new people because I really don't know how to go about that so I joined Events & Adventures. I was very timid and scared before I arrived at my first event. And while I have attended 10 events so far, I'm still combating with anxiousness but I'm getting over it. After all, I made a connection with an older fellow.

Among the trips I've been, I really enjoyed the yoga and the hike. I've also done the book club, which I really, really enjoyed, and I'm looking forward to the meeting at the end of this month. I'm about to check out the Astronomical Society and I'm really excited about that one. My experience with Events & Adventures has been good so far. And while finding a significant other is going to take time to form a connection, the club has a great potential for friendship. I have already recommended it to a person who just moved here. I told him that it's a great way to get out, explore Colorado and meet new people. He's just been here a week from Minnesota so hopefully, he checks them out.

I felt a bit of a blend of being nervous and excited before arriving at my first event. But once the group got there, a lot of good people were very open to mingling with other people, new or familiar. And then it wasn’t long before going there was not anxiety-inducing at all. I usually go online and register for an event that I can go to. So far, I have attended at least eight events, and the ax-throwing was my favorite. There was also a game night, a cooking class, and some arcade events. I like the number of organized activities that Events & Adventures has. I signed up for one event later this month, and tonight I’m going out to a happy hour with a girlfriend. Events & Adventures is a great place to expand your network of single people whether you’re newly single or new to an area, and it’s a really great way to meet people quickly.

I have only been an Events & Adventures member for a month. I was interested because it sounded like some of the stuff they were doing had been fun, and which I wanted to do. My first event was ax throwing. It was kind of weird that we were throwing axes, but it was fun. So far, I have attended 4 trips. There was the hike in a beach area that was really serene. And then there was the dinner. Also, there was the place where you can look through a big telescope and looked into the stars. My most favorite was when we rode a bike and went to different local breweries. In the last event I've been to, I've seen some of the same people there so I'm starting to build friendships with some of them. If a friend asks me about joining Events & Adventures, I would encourage them to come to one of the events with me, as a guest, to check out and really see if it fits them because I have some friends who are adventurous and then some who aren't. There's that option.

I have attended about 15 to 20 activities with Events and Adventures so far. I felt nervous at first, but my expectations were met and my nervousness was set aside because the host was very friendly and actually knew that it was my first event. I also had a hotel experience with Events and Adventures for New Year’s Eve. It was a little bit of a travel but it wasn’t an international trip where there was a group thing. But it was in a different city and there were available hotel accommodations. However, the number of rooms were limited so trying to get a room was a little bit challenging.

I’ve gone to the theater as well and have seen the production of Rent. Another one of my favorites is geocaching which is like a treasure hunt. There’s an app that would list all of the treasures that are hidden in an area and then you just use your coordinates to try to find it. The whole group meets somewhere to gather and will go and hunt for the treasures. It was a lot of fun.

I met a new girlfriend who had been in a couple of same events with me. And so every now and then, we’ll text on the side and last weekend, we scheduled to go to a movie on our own. The only thing that I hear from members is that it would be nice if we had a user-friendly app to use to get into the account instead of always having everything web-based. And it would just be an easier process to get to the calendar. Other than that, it's a good place to go out, be active and meet people. Everybody I have met at Events and Adventures was really, really nice and very friendly.

I was looking for some events like things to do in the winter time, especially around in Seattle. I've been here for a few years now, but I haven't done too much so, it's interesting to find all these things I didn't know were out there to do and have fun. I've been to about 10 Events & Adventures' events now and it's my second month. Most of the stuff has been fairly local and some of them are quite a bit of fun too, like Salsa dancing and Mama Mia show last night which was a great show. We had some fun perks, too.

I've met some folks and they were nice and cool people to hang out with. We run into the same people sometimes. I'm looking forward to a ski trip in Lake Tahoe and it's the first one that's pretty far where I'm going to be on a flight down to California. Hopefully, I will see the sun down there. So far, I'm happy with Events & Adventures and I'd recommend them. There are people out here who work and have no fun. So, have some fun, although sometimes, it's a little rough going out on a weeknight and work the next day.

I sometimes have a hard time meeting new people. So, I really like the idea of getting out, trying new games, and having a lot of fun with a bunch of people that are in the same kind of situation - single and looking to have fun. I was a little nervous during my first Events & Adventures event, not knowing how it would be but everyone was very nice and easy to talk to. I went to one event first then I went to one of the new members' groupings which was very helpful because everyone was within the first couple of months of starting there, too. This Friday, I'm going to go to another one in Daly City because it's the one closer to me.

I did the hiking where we had great views right past Pacifica. Then I am doing the bowling, archery in various cities, and the "Can You Escape a Room" which I had done once and was a lot of fun. I am also looking into the horseback riding event because it's been a long time since I ran and it sounds like a lot of fun, too. I have met a couple new friends at the events and they've been nice. There's one girl that I met who's about a 5-minute ride from me. There's another girl I met in San Mateo and we've been to Clarencefield events together.

I've told quite a few of my other friends about Events and Adventures and they wondered how that was. Some people might be in a relationship and have always thought that if they weren't, that'd be something they would be interested in. Also, a lot of people like my parents are glad I'm getting out and trying to meet new people. Even my sister has good vibes about it. From the very beginning, I've always thought that it sounded neat and that I wanted to do it. And ever since I've been doing it, I've enjoyed it. I would recommend Events and Adventures.

Events and Adventures have activities out in the suburban area which got me interested in them. My first event with them was Hungry Hippos and Adult Style which was amazing. I enjoyed that event as it was unlike anything I've ever done. I even told my friends about it and they thought it was cool. I went to Minneapolis and that was a cool event. My only criticism on that is that my bag was more expensive than my plane ticket. And though the hotel was good, it was expensive and didn't have breakfast included.

At this point, I went to 10 events already and have two events planned. I did one event every day the first week I joined since I had nothing else to do. The males who were up in an event or adventure were very nice but they were not my type. Some were a little too young and not dating material for me. But the other night, I went to a dinner event and there were five of us ladies sitting on one end. We all ended up going to gym class next month together. Organizing something outside of E&A happened organically and that was the first time that has happened.

I also hurt myself in the swimming pool event but it was nobody's fault. They rented the whole pool and there were only 40 people. So, we had the whole place to ourselves which had a 775 person capacity. They could have said that anybody who would bring a friend would get a $5 credit. That would have been a good way to market it so there would be more opportunity to meet more people. And this leads to my biggest criticism with E&A. Whenever they could have big events, they don’t. They had some cool events but there's so much potential to have a hundred people. When I went to Minnesota, there were about ten of us from Chicago. I got to know some Chicago people but I really enjoyed having the mix of it with the Minneapolis people because they were cool. And that gave me ideas for what we could do in Chicago.

Also, the membership at E&A is expensive and for having as many people, there were a lot of missed marketing opportunities in terms of bringing people. They could invite more people to their events, instead of capping it so often. E&A also needs to get better quality men in the group. The sporting events I went to, like the skiing event, was more male-oriented, and the guys there were cool. But most of the events have 70% women and 30% men. I would invite a friend to a free event and would let that friend meet the people first to see what he/she thinks about it.

I first heard about Events & Adventures on the radio and then a friend told me that I should try it out. I heard it again on the radio and decided to go in and see what it's about. I saw that it gets you out to the events where there are other people, and that cast me in. I went in and wondered what to do or where to go. And when I finally saw where everybody was, it was inviting. Charles has been my host for most of my events that I've gone to and he makes it not so awkward or weird. He makes everyone feel welcome. I’ve attended about six events and trips so far and my favorite was the karaoke. It was a lot of fun. I brought a friend with us and she had a lot of fun too. I met two girls there that I have become really good friends with. I've seen them at two more events besides that one so it's nice to have somebody now. I'm getting to remember names. I'm going to the new members’ meeting and the Mardis Gras on Saturday.

My friends are a bit older than me so we don't have a lot of stuff in common but they are teaching me new things -- how to talk to people a bit more and to get me out of my comfort zone. They've been a part of the group for a lot longer than I had. It's nice to have them there and they help introduce me to people that I might not know. I am a little younger so a lot of my friends can't afford Events & Adventures like I can. It stinks when you sign up and I didn't realize that a lot of the events costs like 30 to 50, sometimes less. Sometimes they're all free but then you have to think about what's going on with the event more about. I really have to plan stuff out because there are a lot of events that I really wish I could go to. But I try and stick to a $50 a week minimum.

My mom has a co-worker that went to a program that may have been similar Events & Adventures. That got me interested and I googled and Events & Adventures was the first thing that popped up. I met some cool people and new friends through them and it's been a fun experience. At my first event, I wasn't sure what to expect. It was a chill setting and it was nice because it was close to where I live which doesn't happen very often. We went to a bar, had some drinks and talked a little bit.

I’ve been to quite a few of their events though I haven't been to any this month because I've been working and trying to get things done. I was trying to go to The Great Love Debate tonight but I'm not going to be able to make it. There are so many activities through the program and it gives me something to do. Game Night was really fun and that was my best one. The dancing and rock climbing were fun too. The bar and nightclubs were my least favorite because it was really noisy and it was hard to talk to people.

I'm having a great experience with Events and Adventures. They said that I could meet people the natural way by doing stuff that I enjoy doing. It also includes meeting guys, it's not like the online stuff. I could also meet a lot of other people that share the same interests and things and just get me out. I day after I signed up, they were supposed to have a volleyball event but they switched to another event, going to a bar and hanging out, because the weather was bad. It happened to be one of my favorite bars so I decided to go ahead and get right into it.

First I was a little nervous because I was not really sure what to expect, who was going to be there, what kind of people they were and the situation of going into a bar with people without knowing any of them. But at the same time, I was excited about having a nice evening and seeing what was out there. When I arrived at the event, there were already people there and the host was there. She introduced me to everybody and had a round of introductions. Everybody was very friendly and nice so I felt comfortable shortly after talking to the first people.

I signed up in October and on average, I've been to four events a month. I went on a skiing trip in Wesler and I did the New Year's trip to Vancouver Island. I liked those trips the best as they gave me an opportunity to spend more time with people and get to know some of them better. That was the trip where I met some of the people I'm now friends with. I drove on both trips. The first trip to Westland, I was by myself since I had to come straight from work. It was a trip where I booked an extra day so I arrived with the people from the US at the same time. There was also the road trip where we had a great time in the car and that continued over the weekend. I meet those people now even privately on a somewhat regular basis. I also liked the hotels, both of them.

Unfortunately, I'm going to be a little busier this February than I had expected so I had to cancel a bunch of stuff that I had signed up for with Events and Adventures. The one thing I'm definitely going to do this month is the Valentine's Party and I'm trying to make it to two other events. This weekend, I'm going on a camping trip with a few of the friends I made. I've been on a couple of dates with people but nothing serious. I definitely met interesting people though. I have been recommending Events and Adventures to other single people. I'm very happy with the experiences I've had so far.
