When I lived in Arizona, I would hear advertisements about Events and Adventures on the radio, and I always thought it sounded like a good opportunity. When I moved back to Colorado, I was looking to reconnect with people or meet new ones, and so I joined them. I was excited going to my first event and I had a lot of fun then. I made a lot of good friends through Events and Adventures and I’ve enjoyed them.

Unfortunately, my daughter has been keeping me more busy than I expected so I had not joined as many events as I would like. I only did foot golf, the 4th of July party, Labor Day camping and pumpkin and wine nights. But I'm signed up for sporting events in November and I’m booked to go on a trip to Mardi Gras in 2020. There was just one issue when I was trying to work on paying for the trip. I wanted to get on a payment plan but the communication was a little rocky and they ended up charging my card for the full amount. But when I contacted them, they took the charge off and they were happy to put me on a payment plan.

I’ve been through a lot. My boyfriend passed away not too long ago and I was just wanting to get out and kind of do something out of the house. I’m new to Events and Adventures. It’s a great place to make some friends. But my first event with them may have been the wrong event. The other ones I’ve been were great though. Also, I was a little upset after I signed up and I read their reviews. I probably should have done before I went, but I didn't. Going in there thinking you are gonna find your match is kind of disappointing. I think that’s where everybody’s issues come from. They're upset about the club because they were expecting something different. I wish I had known the program was more to just make friends.

There were maybe two people in both clubs, the South Bay and the Peninsula, that have matches. But my odds aren’t very good. Everybody has been in there for a long time and they all seem to like each other. I then read what a couple of what other people said which was, “Get over that. That’s not what this is about. This is more about getting out, doing some fun things with fun people.” And you don't have to worry about who’s there because everybody’s great and people know each other. Once you get over the fact that you’re not gonna meet your soul mate or meet somebody that you might wanna date, it’s fun and it's easier to swallow.

There are also a lot more girls than there are guys in this club from what I’ve seen. The ratio, when you’re looking for the opposite sex, is not very even. Another thing is the program is expensive and you’re locked in for as long as you sign up for. I was told that but I was thinking it was more of a find a match type of a thing. Make some friends that are single and you find somebody that you're interested in, but it’s more just friends. That’s fine too. Making friends is always great and I might have still done it, but maybe I wouldn’t have done it for so long or maybe not right then. I’m locked in with Events and Adventures now so I might as well make the best of it. I like doing different things, making some friends, and meeting some nice people that are wanting to do something different. Most of them are single. I’ve talked to a couple of people on the phone but there's not anything yet outside of Events and Adventures.

Since joining Events and Adventures in August, I’ve done comedy clubs, musical shows, and axe throwing. My most recent event was the crime tour bus and it was a lot of fun. It has been a pretty wide variety. I’m going to pub crawl later this week, and then I have a singles’ Halloween party, and then I’m doing a cooking class as well. I’m friendly with a lot of people. So that’s been very nice.

The person who did my beginning interview really did a nice job of laying out how it went, what kind of events there were, and how many there were gonna be. But sometimes some months are heavy on certain areas. I live in the city of Chicago, and September month was almost 90% suburbs. But I don’t have a car, so that put me out of a lot of events. It’s a little bit tricky because when you have events in the suburbs on weeknights and you’re in the city, you’re not gonna make it out to the suburbs. But other than that, I would recommend Events and Adventures.

Everyone has been really great, and all the coordinators were super-awesome. However, I wouldn't renew my membership. It’s just too expensive and I don't know if it’s really worth the money. It's 125 a month. If they could knock it down to 50 bucks a month because half of the events, you pay. For example Dallas Stars, the hockey game, you pay $40, or like the dinner, if you pay for your own dinner, so I don't really understand why 120? And it’s a contract, so you can’t really back out of it. I would suggest lowering the membership fees. But everyone in the Dallas Office has been really nice and great. Sydney is amazing. They do a good job. They're trying their best, and everyone seems to have fun. Members are awesome as well. But would I recommend it to friends? Probably not. There’s a thing called better off bowling. So, even if you suck at bowling, I’d probably go bowling.

I liked Events and Adventures' guarantee that I wouldn’t do the same things I would normally do on my own. I've gone to 15 events and trips and I really enjoyed their camping trip during Labor Day. Also, I went skip shooting, roller skating, karaoke and did the corn maze. Now I'm going to attend the Halloween party. I’ve made friends. Go to the events that you wouldn’t normally go to.

I liked that Events and Adventures was a group for single people. And for me, being single, I had done other meetup groups and stuff like that, but usually, they’re event-focused. It was nice to have an event group that kind had a broad range of activities and it was specifically geared towards single people so it took that mystery out of trying to guess whether someone was in a relationship or not.

I was extremely excited to meet other people and to see what it was like. But at the same time, I was kinda nervous because I didn’t know what to expect. I had gone to other meetup groups, but I didn’t know how that compared to an Events and Adventures kind of group. But then the host was excellent. I introduced myself and I explained it was my first event, so she helped ease that, and then gave me a rundown of what was happening. And you do an introduction with everyone, so once the introductions were done, then that nervousness went away.

I’ve done the long weekend things only within Canada. Whereas most of the trips, they’re expensive and complicated to get to so it turned me away from doing any of them. They always wanna meet in the United States, everything’s in US dollars, that kind of thing. I do more of the adventurous ones. I did a lot of the hiking ones. I tried some random ones, like a drive-in movie. And then I did some things that I probably would’ve never done like we went to White Rock and just walked along the pier, like a sunset stroll.

And then I did two long weekends. We went to Whistler just this weekend, which was nice. And then the previous one was white water rafting. The ones before that were skydiving and caving. I really enjoy the quality of the events. I’ve made some casual friends. You meet them at the events and you talk, but you don’t really associate out of the events. And then I have a girlfriend now and our relationship has been going on for about three months. I met her through Events and Adventures.

I had a family member who joining Events and Adventures at another state. It was an alternative to meeting people. The first event I attended was at a bar downtown. It was weird. I was nervous but it turned around. It was pretty cool and I met some people. We connected and really had a good time. I've done about six events so far. They were all a little different which I really liked. It was not the same thing over and over again. At this time, I recognize people when I go to events but we don’t necessarily talk outside of the event. My personal life is out of control at the moment but I keep an eye on the calendar. I try and look for times that I can go to an event.

I was looking on Google for a group that I can join for social issues, and came across Events and Adventures. They talked about there would be a lot of single people that you can meet. It’s an easy way, and there’s no pressure like online dating. Then I asked them about age group, and who are the people who are part of this club. They told me that they have people in our age group. And that’s when you know that when you get to some of these events, you’re going to meet people who have the same common interests that you have.

When you talk to other people from the group, everyone seems to say that it’s a hit or miss because you never know who’s going. So, you show up at an event hoping that you are going to find people who have the same interests as you do, or people that are in the same age group. You never know what the event is about, if does it cater to people who are just in their 30s or 40s or 50s. So, anything is for grabs, and people show up.

For my first event, they told us we were going on a boat ride, and it was the Fourth of July, so I was looking forward to that. But it was unbearable because they told me that I would really enjoy this event because last year was really good. They had it in closed boat last year, but for this year, they didn’t. It was an open boat on the bay for three hours, so it was extremely cold. I did not like that boat ride. So the next time I hear about boat ride, I’m gonna have to investigate whether it’s enclosed or not. And they talked about how they were gonna have hors d'oeuvres and drinks. That’s not what they had there. They had like beach food. So, when you’re telling people what you’re gonna be doing, you need to be able to do exactly as you say.

I've been to about 10 events, and the wine tasting events are good. I’ve enjoyed some of those. I went to an event in Alameda. They had a cover band playing for the Depeche Mode. That was really good. They said that we have about 800 people in Bay Area, but when I look at some of the travels that we do, none of those trips ever start off from San Francisco. They’re asking you to get to Atlanta or Philadelphia, to get on a plane to go someplace else. So if we have all these people from the Bay Area, why don’t Events and Adventures just add the difference that it will cost me to go from here to Philadelphia?

They will have more people signing up on those trips if they had it from where we are living. Overall, it depends on who the host is that makes the event more enjoyable. But I’m going to try to use my membership because it would be a waste if I didn’t go to any event. I've made a few friends and we call one another to ask if they are going to the same event.

I was a little nervous before going to my first event with Events and Adventures. It was coffee at game night, and there were probably 15 people there. So it was groups of people playing different games. The conversations kinda flowed pretty easy and I ended up sitting with the host, so he made me feel more comfortable. Since I started, I usually do anywhere between one and six events a month. I’ve made a couple of friends. But I am a single mom, so I usually only do events every other week. I’ve done the comedy, the dancing, the stargazing, roller-skating, the mafia dinner, and bowling. But I like the board game events. I'm recommending Events and Adventures.

I moved in a new area and I didn't know anybody and I'm not very forward to meet new people. I just wanna make new friends easily. I joined Events and Adventures, and on my very first event with them, I felt nervous. But after that, I feel more confident and I meet people. The environment's nice and the organization is good. Sometimes, it can be a little bit expensive.

I try to do the activities in different areas of Houston because Houston's so big. I went to a comedy event. I have gone to the event to welcome the new member. I have gone to some Christmas events as well. I like to go hiking. It went very well. I like to walk. But it's too early in the morning that sometimes, every time I plan to go on these things, something comes up and I cancel.

We need some kind of an environment that we feel comfortable to approach new people. And the organizers help us a lot with that. I just have my own personal limitations. For example, I don't like to be close to animals. That's why I don't like to go camping out because I don't want an insect or a snake near me. I understand my own limitations and I'm fine with that. Overall, we should keep pushing yourself to meet the people in a different environment and try new things.

I saw an ad for Events and Adventures on the internet and it looked pretty cool so I applied for it. They seemed all nice and good. I have their three-year plan. Right now, I've been in the program for almost a year and I can't go to everything every night. I think I'm just gonna suspend my account. If you're a girl, then the females who are the leaders get to know you and you get to know them and do a lot of icebreakers and stuff. But if you're a dude, the guys who are the leaders are more interested in getting chicks. I don’t feel too comfortable about that. We’re all supposed to be meeting.

I get it but at the same time, I paid a lot of money to try to meet people. I'm a very shy kind of person. And it's like half of these guys never remember me. They don’t make it a point to try to get to even say hello. I get that I'm just another dude who is showing lots of money, but I've been to some cool things too. When you're listening to them talk about which girls they got with, I don’t really feel like going out with any of these girls anymore or even try. It seems pretty lame to me. I guess if I was a little bit more forward then I wouldn’t have this problem. But if I was a little bit more forward, I wouldn’t have joined this group. I thought that it would be interactive and more playful, but it's very cliquish. I had sat there many times and did not talk to anybody. I don’t feel like I am getting what I paid for.

The trips seem really cool but they are also way too expensive once you start looking into them. I travel a lot anyway with my job and I don’t have to pay $10,000 for two weeks to be with a bunch of strangers. I understand that everything is set up and that’s great. My biggest problem is with the people who run it. They told us we are having this thing. When asked where our seats were, they said we were are just gonna stand in a corner. What? I paid 20 bucks to be part of this event and I'm standing in a corner. Are they serious? I’ve had some pretty bad experiences. I met some cool people but at the same time, it's hit or miss. And there are a certain group of those leaders that I don’t even wanna be a part of.

I wanted to meet new people, do different things around the city, and find out about fun activities. I have a lifetime membership. I went to seven of their events and especially enjoyed the wallyball in Denver. But I don't have that much time on my hands. I went to three events in Denver and I met a lot of people. I didn't stay in touch with them though. I went to one event then to another and I didn't see the same people that I saw at the last event I went to. You gotta see someone like two or three times before they actually become your friend.

Everything is going fine with Events and Adventures. I liked the fact that I get to see people face to face. It wasn't like switching or going right or left. And I see the people there for who they really are and their personality. I've been with Events and Adventures since the end of May and I've gone to a few events. I felt a little bit of anxiousness at first, but there were also some excitement just seeing how it works and the folks that would be there. After I got there and met the folks that were there and the conversation flowed, I was put at ease.

I've done maybe 10 events in the last couple of months. I already had a busy schedule set up when I joined, and so it took a while to get to my first event. And then, I still have those things on my calendar, and so I haven't gone to as many as I'd like to. But I had already things on my schedule. There was a 1000 light lantern festival in Kirkland, and that was my favorite. It was really a neat experience. I haven't found a significant other. It seems like everybody is a bit younger than me. But I met a new friend, and she lives in Bellingham, so we periodically will carpool together. And then, I live in Marysville, so she passes by here. And there was another gal that I've carpooled with from Lake Stevens. And we went to go see a movie in the park, too.

Events and Adventures was a chance to have more casual outings with people who care to be more authentic, and I thought that was nice. I was a little bit nervous for my first event but I picked something that I knew I was, at least, moderately comfortable about with and it was good. It was definitely the event that all newcomers seemed to come to. So it wasn’t like you are meeting people who are in the club. You are meeting people who are just starting. That even was the country line dancing and karaoke. But the event wasn’t scheduled during the karaoke time and the karaoke started at the end. I don’t know if that was an oversight or if they just let it be and people just continued doing that.

There is also one thing that I feel is a little bit weird. They seem like a company that’s stuck about 20 years ago. They don’t use a lot of email communication or Facebook. I’m not getting new updates with great graphics or great emails that make me feel like I really wanna go to that event. They're too much paragraph-style and vey much stock photos. So it's like, "Hope this turns out good." They’re not really speaking what is more the people’s language. People who are maybe in their 50s wouldn’t think anything weird about that. But I’m 41 and some the people there were younger than me, like in their 30s.

The whole marketing campaign needs to be stronger too. I’ve only gotten maybe one every two weeks, and I don’t know if that’s enough. You’re getting it once a month. I also advised them that I needed to pause the membership until the end of September because I'm starting a new job and buying a new house. So there is way too much going on that I’ll be barely creeping by to get myself doing it. But right now, they’ve charged me even though I closed my account. That’s not cool.

I got interested with Events and Adventures because it’s a way to meet single people in person instead of online. I was a little bit nervous before my first event, but the first one that I went to was designed in a way that it would be smaller. It was the night that they split up the over 40 and the under 40. So, I knew that it wouldn’t be like a huge group. The second event, there were like 100 people, and it was at a bar where there was live music.

I think anytime you go to an event where you don’t know anybody, that’s a nerve-racking situation, where the hope is that people will be friendly, and that they’ll talk to you, and that it won’t be too awkward. But obviously, when you’re new to the group, you don’t know anybody. And so, you don’t know that it’s not gonna be about any of those things. But people were pretty friendly. My first event, because it was smaller, the host of the event was like, “let me introduce you to people.” With the second event, it was very much like you have to fend for yourself. And so, I’m a super outgoing person, which is okay. But I can imagine if I were a more shy person, that second event would have been harder because nobody was introducing me to anybody. I had to be the one to talk to people. And so, that’s a little tougher when you don’t have anybody shepherding you. But so far, my experience has been really great.

I was in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I’ve been hearing Events and Adventures on the radio for a long time. I’ve never had any interest in it until here recently, I’ve been divorced, and realizing that a lot of your friends kinda divorce you, too. So, I don’t really have a whole lot of friends and people to hang out with. I thought it was nice to get involved with that or kinda in the same situation, just looking for people to hang out with. I signed right at the time that I had some vacation trips planned. And so, I do have a lot of events that I am signed up for for this month. Hopefully, I can really get out of my comfort zone and start trying some different things. I’ve done volleyball in the past and that’s something that I actually enjoyed, and to be out there with the bunch of other people that are out there just to have fun, and not really be competitive about it, and just out to have a great time.

I was supposed to attend an event yesterday. I showed up, but I couldn’t find the host. She had already left, so with me being that I’ve only gone to one event, I really didn’t know who else I could identify first when I had it in the last. So, that was supposed to be a different one yesterday. But hopefully, that will change to where I can start finding familiar faces and not just not the host that I’m supposed to look for.

It took a sec to find everybody. I came to find out that I had parked at a different end of the parking lot from everyone, which wasn’t too bad of a thing. We all got together and got to the bus then when we got down to the drop point where we got into the water, it certainly was interesting getting the groups together. Some were not as patient as others and just took off as a cluster. But hey, we had like three or four clusters of Events and Adventures going down the river. There wasn’t a lot of people. There were like 20 of us but it was fun. I've been to 10 events so far and they were fun. I've been to trivias, to some drinks at bars, to movie theaters and to bowling. Usually, the people that I meet are new faces like throughout the events that I've been, I’ve only met one girl. We recognized each other so that was nice. But although we socialize there, we don’t talk about our work or our life. We just talk about our interests. I haven't attended any trips also because there are no dates that I can go out due to work-related stuff. They're usually on the first week of the month and unfortunately, that’s the first week that I can’t go out of the city. Therefore, no trips for me, unfortunately, unless they change. Nonetheless, I will definitely recommend Events & Adventures.

For my first event, my worry was that I didn't know the people who would be there and I was doubting. I've been to four events so far and liked two. My favorite is the whirly gig, which was like bumper cars. There was camaraderie and I got to know the people a little bit more. The last one I went to was a video game thing and there was a lot of other people that had gone there from the public so there was no tight-knit group. I also went to an event at the country bar and met a friend. That was a good time, but it wasn't the best because I don't dance very well.

I'm fairly happy with my experience with Events and Adventures. I like that it was for singles, which I am, and that it was local and international opportunities for adventure. I've been with them since February of this year and I've been to about 25 events already. Last Thursday was at an event at the Museum of Flight. I signed up for that event and I missed the group because the parking was unbelievable, but I went.

Events and Adventures is a way to meet people. I'm a massage therapist, so I legally can't hang out with my clients, and I don't really know a lot of people in Texas. So, it's a nice way to be able to do things without being the only single female there. I was a little nervous going to the first event because it's a bunch of strangers. But everybody was super cool and super nice. I've met a bunch of new friends and it's been really cool. I've gone to the party barges, moonlight hikes and the comedy club thing. It was a lot of fun.

I was anxious when I got to the first event of Events and Adventure but once I started going to more events I started getting more comfortable, making new friends and whatnot. My days off are on weekdays, so it's kinda hard for some of the events. But I've been to five events now. I've been to a volleyball event and I enjoyed that. I'm brand-new to Events and Adventure but so far I've been enjoying the whole experience. I recommend them.

I had a friend who had heard about Events and Adventure and told me to look into it. I had just moved to Dallas in March, so I was looking to meet new people. I did a Dallas Mavericks game. And then, this most recent one I went to Bury arcade called Cidercade. That was pretty nice. And I did a dancing at Blue Goose, it was like a salsa dancing with dinner. That one was pretty fun.

They have variety of things planned. They had shown me a calendar of the events that were coming up. The biggest thing is some of it is out of my realm of things I normally do. But their membership is pretty expensive, and then, you still typically have to pay to do most of the events. Not a lot of it is free, or even if it's free, you still have to pay to get in, etc. That's really the only discouraging part. But other than that, the events that they plan are suitable for many people of all ages.

I liked that with Events and Adventures, I’d be doing things that I probably wouldn’t think to do on my own, and then being around people that I do not know. While I'm there at the event, I find things that we have in common. I was excited on my first event but I wasn’t nervous. You can't be nervous in not knowing the strangers. So far, I’ve done ice breaking, softball and two restaurants. I also did a wine glass painting and I really liked that. It was really nice. I could have done that by myself and on my own, but it's just one of those things that you say you’re gonna do but never does.

My favorite is going out to eat. I have gone to different restaurants that I have never heard of and I got a chance to experience that. We went to Medina Oven & Bar, which had Cuban food. It was good. Then, we went to the Mockingbird Station quite often and I didn’t even know that was there. I haven't really done a whole lot of anything outside of that, which is still a very good experience. I would like to experience the hiking and the swim thing on the dolphins. So, it's August and I'm gonna go and look at the calendar and see how I'm gonna schedule other things. Now, I would like to experience the travel. I just want to enjoy, have fun and remember somebody from another event. Everything is right there and it's just a matter of picking, choosing and participating in it.

I’ve been receiving mailings for a year about Events and Adventures and I decided to sign up with them. On my first event, I was with a very welcoming group of people and I had a lot of fun. And it’s been like that ever since. I’ve done everything from sports to international travels and shows, and the accommodations have been pretty good. They’re usually 3 to 4 star and for the price, you can’t complain.

So far, I enjoy the sports events. But I really haven’t had a lot of time, so I have just been doing one or two events a month. Also, I’ve noticed over the last couple of years that they stopped doing events up on the northern suburbs. They still do stuff in the southern suburbs, though. But if they did more events in the north suburbs during the week, I’d be more able to do that. Other than that, I’ve always been sort of outgoing and I wanted to meet new people, and Events and Adventures was an avenue for that.

I heard about Events and Adventures at a party and I got interested as I was going through a divorce. The first event that I went to was fun, and the people were nice. I've been to two of their events so far. I did game night at the clubhouse which was fun. And then I ended up at the Cottonwood one, but I came a little late and there were only four people left there. That wasn't very fun. I prefer the clubhouse party because a lot of the events start late at night, like after 7:00 or 8:00. I prefer like happy hour time. So, I probably attend one a month. However, I'm thinking that it's maybe a waste of money for me. I'm a realtor and things that I have to do come up all the time. I do not have a set schedule and I do work on weekends. At the interview, they showed me a calendar and asked how many days could I go, and I honestly said that I could probably do one. And they still encouraged me to sign up then. But it's just not really compatible to my schedule.

A lot of my friends have been settling down and didn’t have a lot of free time. I got interested in Events and Adventures thinking it would be a fun way to meet new people and do stuff that I haven’t tried before. My first event was Cards Against Humanity back in 2017, and it was fun. Game night is fun. I join two to three of the group's activities per month, and I’m about to go on my first trip with them in August.

However, I’ve seen myself going to fewer and fewer events because of the quality of people that I meet. Sometimes I don’t feel like I can get on-board with them. I don’t mean to sound like a snob, but I’m somebody with a graduate degree and have my own life, and a lot of these people don’t seem to be so. They’re good people but I was expecting a little more of a better crowd. Events and Adventures advertised themselves as somebody who takes care a lot of who they’re letting in, but I don’t think that is the reality. If you’re looking to meet certain quality of people, don’t go for it. But if you’re looking to have fun, try new things, or you’re new to town and looking to meet people, then sure, sign up.

Seattle is notorious for being hostile towards newcomers as far as the social scene and I became interested in Events and Adventures. The first event was a game night at a pool hall and when I arrived, it was fine. I have attended about six events a month for 10 months and I like most of the outdoor things such as rafting, camping and hiking. I was also on a snorkeling trip this weekend and it went really well. I have signed up for things toward the end of August. However, Events and Adventure’s website is horrible. Also, their payment management system is verging on unethical. When you cancel an event, they do not refund your money. Instead, it goes to an event credit that you can use on other events. They do not pay you interest on that, so they just keep this tab almost like a savings account of your event credit, and indefinitely. I have credit sitting out there for a long time.

They will charge a small fee for some events such as in a dinner. There is a $10 fee to hold your spot, which makes sense. They want people to show up instead of reserving a 12-person table and four people show up, so I get that. However, it can take weeks to get a refund back. It does not even come back as a refund but it goes as an event credit. You can apply it later, but then, like last night, I signed up for some August events, and I was trying to figure out how to use credits and I did not see the place because it was very unintuitive. So, I went back in to cancel my registration and re-registered using my credit but they locked the registration for 24 hours. It makes no sense that you cannot cancel for 24 hours for no known reason.

It is almost like they are hoping you will forget to go back and apply the credits. Then, they can keep your money and use it without paying you interest. If you miss the cancellation deadline, you do not get an event credit either. I’ve had fun getting to know people and as far as meeting people in the area, it has been successful but their website and their payment system are inexcusable.

I heard about Events and Adventures through a radio advertisement and I liked the idea of getting involved in different activities. In my very first event, I was a little nervous but I was mostly excited. It was informative and it gave me an idea as to how the activities are organized. So, from that point moving on, I wasn’t quite as nervous as I was on the first event. But meeting new people every time still makes you a little bit nervous. I’ve done four events so far and my favorite was the initial meeting at Park & Field. It’s a little restaurant bar area with an outdoor patio so it was a meet and greet game night event. I also did a hike in the woods, another one was a trivia night at a local bar and then another one was at a rooftop bar crawl in Wicker Park. Overall, I like Events and Adventures a lot. It presents a lot of good opportunities to not only experience new things, but meet new people. So, it’s important to take advantage of the opportunities that are offered.

It seemed like a whole bunch of people that didn’t have anything better to do, and there wasn’t a whole lot of conversation. It was really awkward for me. We were just out for tacos and everybody was kind of sitting there like a bump on a log. I’m not going for a social club like just hang out and talk to people. I was a little unsure before arriving to my first event but everybody was welcoming. I felt like I was actually a part of them ‘cause they introduced themselves. I did go on the camping trip. We went tubing down a river while we camped, and we rented pontoons. These were all women my age. I met a couple of women from Chicago and we plan on seeing friends and visiting each other. I also met some from Rochester, Minnesota.

I enjoyed the Pianopalooza where two guys were playing the piano and singing. I also went to the mini golf, and that was just with the group of people my age. There were also a few of the bar ones where you just go karaoke. I don’t really know if I wanna keep going to those... maybe once in a while. But it seems like it’s a lot of the younger groups, and they’re kinda cliquey. I’d like to participate in things for people my age and I’ve noticed that so far, there aren't really that many people. Personally, I have been jobless and homeless a number of times. Handing over money to a company that describes its members as "elite" and "professional" and echoing my answers to interview questions, only to find that it is a misrepresentation of the actual clientele is beyond unacceptable. Everyone at this company has been extremely rude and unresponsive to this. They just say "No refund for you!!" Then they just push you aside and tell you to cease asking for them to exchange a valid service for the money you paid. Funny that I see a lot of shining reviews on this site, but very few on others, and many reviews are not only completely opposite to what I experienced but also wreak of marketing campaign--so possibly listed by the company itself. There are not events every day, so any review stating that is inaccurate. Cancellation is almost impossible, and that is after their slick salespeople misrepresent.

I joined for a 6 month period in February 2019. Staff misrepresent the services expected. They ask questions, then use your answers to lie about their service. When I told staff that I must be around respectful people with good values, they assured me that Events & Adventures has an environment similar to what I described. The company boasts a private, "elite" group of people. I attended ONE event, which alone proved a completely opposite situation. Given the extremely inappropriate behavior--yelling, profanity, sexual references and gestures, and overall foolishness--I was not comfortable attending more events. Then I read reviews such as on Yelp and the BBB, to find that "SCAM" is the word.

I reported the inappropriate behavior to Events & Adventures, and it was met with the most unprofessional and unaccountable mentality I have ever encountered. They collected information, on a first phone call, on what happened at the event for their own internal purposes. Firstly, I had told the slick salesman when I signed up that I was raised with good values and wanted to be around like-minded people. They assured I would--LIE!!! Secondly, they have done nothing but insist that I keep going to events--after I told them repeatedly that I am uncomfortable being in situations that likely would include the same behavior. The events are open to all members, and the Company approves these people for membership.

A separate phone call was made TO ME to collect information on what happened at the one event. The staff person told me that he would talk to "corporate" about it to see what type of solution could be formed. When he did not follow up with me for more than a week, I tried following up, asking to speak to him. My name and cell were taken down for a return phone call, and then within minutes I received an email from a third individual, rudely telling me that no refund was to be expected and that an events manager was notified to possibly help me go to MORE events--AGAIN!!

A little later that same day, the president, Mark Owen, emailed me and rattled off a list of accusations about my behavior--that I was slandering the company, harassing staff, and so on. So if you follow up with someone who originally reached out to you about a legit complaint, E&A terms it harassment. Just like their sales pitch....misrepresentation of the facts. And let's add "refusal to do anything, but count the bank roll". So the president of Events & Adventures uses a psychological mind game of inaccurate finger pointing to turn the table on a legit complaint I have made--to somehow bully me to back off on my complaint??

You want to bully me, Mark Owen? Come at me, Bro!!! Come at me!!! After the way I have been treated by your scamming company misrepresenting and stealing my money, I am not backing down when representing the TRUTH about your unethical company. And if you want to come at ME with slander, how about you sue everyone else that left legit complaints on Yelp and other sites for YEARS....YEARS....citing inappropriate and unethical actions by your company. I have emails proving the company's attempt to do nothing! Then you try to flip the script and falsely accuse me!

When I say repeatedly that I do not want to be in situations where inappropriate behavior is aplenty, your company tells me that I have no choice but to tolerate it. I went to ONE event. Had I been allowed to prove, by attending one event before paying, that your staff misrepresented the events and people involved, then I could have made an ACCURATE, INFORMED decision to avoid indecent, inappropriate behavior. But instead, your company misrepresents and a 3-day cancellation contract then equates to SCAM. There aren't events "every day", so a member cannot pay for services, attend to a first event and find out the TRUTH, and still have time to cancel. OUTRIGHT SCAM!!!

I've heard about Events and Adventures on the radio and it sounded like it was interesting so I got in. It was easy, and what's most appealing was the background check and validating people. I’ve made a girl friend that lives nearby, and we hang out. I’m social and easygoing, and so far, I've been to three events. They were all of the same genre, though. One was a mafia dinner, which was the most fun, then the others were a board game night and a movie. The next one would be a pub crawl.

However, I think it lacks diversity. When people are signing up, it's like, “Hey, yeah, we have over 1,000 number of members,” but when you look at the events, and if you talk to other members, it’s the same rotating group. Every person at these events already know each other and it’s the same people that participate in the Facebook group. There’s literally a rotating group of 20 that show up to the events. So, if you’re not into one of the 20, you’re now signed up for something for the next year, and you’re kind of SOL.

Not only that. I’m supposed to be a single person at events but what if I meet someone at an event and we started dating, which is the purpose of the group? What would be the purpose of being a member for a year, which I have paid for, if I can’t attend events because now I’m in a relationship? What do you do then? So, there’s no caveat to getting out of it.

Also, something that I would really like to see happen very soon is some website interface enhancements. After signing up for an event, it would be really nice if you got the option of adding it to a calendar, either your Gmail, your Outlook, or your iCalendar. And then on the website, there should be a consolidated list of the events that you signed up for, versus having to go through the calendar and finding them because it’s not intuitive or easy. It's like, after I signed up for stuff, I would have to open up my own personal calendar and add it on there. Then if I added it the wrong time or the wrong date, then I would have to go back and fish, or figure out if I did sign up for something.

And for as much money as you’re paying to attend all of these things, it should follow up with you, and say, “Oh, look, you’re supposed to be going to this.” or a reminder the day before, “Don’t forget you have this tomorrow.” Three interfaces do that, Meetup.com does that, INWEGO does that, everything else does that. It’s outdated that it doesn’t do that.

Events and Adventures helped me in exploring new places in and out of the city and meeting new people. That's kind of interesting. Every time you have something new to do, something new to learn, and someone new to meet. I was kind of nervous being in my first event. I didn't know how it was gonna be - if I could get along with people or if I would like the event. But it went very well. I liked the way the host understood me. His name is Alex. Every place I go to, I just get along with the new people.

I registered for seven events and trips but I have only been to four. I had to travel from a city in Indiana to Chicago. Sometimes, I register for an event but am unable to reach the place because of my travel issues like car troubles. I registered for a Whirlyball activity which I would have liked to do. The other one was at Dave and Buster's. I registered for a party too but that was full so I was unable to go there. My favorite events so far were at Bones Bar and the first event which was a laser tag activity. That was very good. It's summer and I would like to go and do things outdoors. I'll be going to one event this weekend.

There's a time gap among the events I have been to so I was not able to make any new friends until now. But looking forward, I'd like to make some new ones. I think it depends on how frequent I go to the events. There will be very few people who will be coming to every event and there will be new people every time. Some people who will be coming to the event I will be going to this week may or may not be coming to the next event I go to. The probability of meeting the same people again and again is very low. This case needs to be considered.

Otherwise, the event hosts are very friendly and they keep things going. The venues Events and Adventures pick out and the type of events are so different which help people. For example, there are a few events which are related to some different cultures like the Mexican culture. Learning this new culture or just getting to know the different types of food from different places are good memories you make. Overall, everything is good. I think I just need to be able to make it to the events frequently and meet more people.

I was looking for people who are doing something basically and after I signed up, I'm looking almost everyday what's on the calendar. So now, it's my everyday thing. I'm definitely not the person who would be going somewhere everyday because I am quite busy. But otherwise, I'm looking for and finding more people with similar hobbies as I have. I'm mostly really looking for activities like hiking and playing sports. So these are the things that I am attending and it's fun. This is what I'm doing, what I'm attending and what I'm enjoying.

I didn't really know so much what to expect on my first event. I was confused, really. But when I arrived there, it was fun. The first event that I signed up for was playing volleyball so it was fun. I was nicely surprised. I have been a member for two months and I've been to eight events. So far, my experience has only been good. I'm also very much looking forward to and curious about the trips. I even already signed up for one to Costa Rica in December. So I'm very excited about that. There's also one travel destination that has been on my bucket list for a long time already, which is Australia, and I was asking the local scenic manager if she has heard anything about a potential trip next year or after next year. She was saying that she doesn't know any detail for now but for sure, at some point, there will be something. I am really hoping that it will happen and when it does, I'm signing up.

Events & Adventures is a way to meet people that's not on a dating app so I signed up. I was nervous going at the first event. I didn't know what it was gonna really be like, but a couple of other members were really good about making it comfortable. I went to a dozen events and I really like the archery tag. There was a hang gliding one that was really good. I’m getting one that’s like an adult water park that they're setting up with different blowup slides. I've done dinners and a couple of the happy hours. I really liked one at The Perch, and I like the ones at Postino every month.

But I don't think the salespeople were very honest. The salesperson absolutely, 100% said that it’s going to be a situation where 75% of the events are free. But that isn’t really true because you may not have to pay to participate in the event, like buy a ticket. But the dinners and all of that, they made it seem like it was definitely more free, but there is nothing that’s free. Even the ones at people’s houses, it’s like, BYOB and bring a potluck food item. So, even at those events where it’s at somebody’s house and there really isn’t any cost, there’s definitely a cost. So, every event has a cost and no event is free. But I had already reviewed Events and Adventures before I even had my interview, and I had read some online interviews that talked about this. So, I went in, eyes wide open, and was fully aware that what they were telling me was ** at the time, so it didn't piss me off.

I heard about E&A on 93.3 Radio for advertisement here in Arizona but at the time, I was in a relationship. After that relationship ended in October, I stepped away from dating. But in the beginning of this year, my mother mentioned E&A and asked if I had ever thought of checking it out. Who do you want to hear from that you're single and you should probably try to move on? Your mother. It thought it had been a few months and maybe I should go and check it out. There were three categories given to me when I first was doing my interview. There were travel, romance and friends, and what I said interested me was romance.

My dad was a marine so I've traveled every few years to all around the world and I've done vacations. So I've done travel and I would probably do travel with my family still. I also have a ton of friends here in Arizona. It's primarily why I stayed here. But I enjoyed the feeling of being in a relationship and the happiness that I felt from it, and I would like to try and find it again.

I was a little nervous driving up to my first event. I was thinking what this was gonna mean and to not be awkward. But my first event was volleyball. This wasn't a speed dating thing. I was not there to try and get numbers. I was there as just another person who is interested in playing volleyball. I told myself to be nice, friendly and charismatic, and to be myself. I told myself that while I was at it, to see who else was there, to take advantage of seeing all these people needing to be social, and to see who's social and who's not. By the start of the event and getting into it, I was just having a good time with new friends.

At this point, I've done volleyball twice. I have been with the club for about two months and I've been to seven events. My next events would be volleyball next Wednesday and then it's a luau party that Saturday. I've also done broomball twice and I'm trying to do more things like that, like at the burger and bowling. When I first started out, I was just trying to do the pretty fun ones like the volleyball and game nights. I'm slowly trying to get into more and I'm excited for the salt river adventure at the end of the month. So I'm trying to expand out more because I wanna take more advantage of it and I found out that I enjoyed hanging out with other people that aren't my main friends from Arizona.

The biggest surprise to me, which I thought was the most pleasant was that I went in hoping to see if I could find a significant other but there's a lot of great people that I didn't expect to connect with on a friend level and I enjoy just talking with them when I go to events. One of the hosts that I hang out with was my first host at volleyball, Kevin. I remember going to his game night and we talked for an hour about heavy rock. It seems like there's a huge community of people who like to go and do group things that aren't necessarily E&A but they get E&A people together. I've gotten to connect with everyone and make friends, like Kevin, so that's been really fun to do. That's my biggest highlight from that.

I have also found someone I am interested in pursuing. We've exchanged numbers and gone on a very casual date. This person is very laid back and very tomboyish which isn't a problem. I think that's cool and she's cool. But it's a different thing that I've had to tackle so I was trying to slow myself down, enjoy being casual and take the time to get to know this person more. Having just left a really serious relationship, I'm trying to stop myself from wanting to rush things and ruin it.

I attempted to cancel my contract within two weeks of signing after not attending any events. Shortly after signing I got another large medical bill related to my youngest child’s brain tumor that I wasn’t expecting, on top of other financial obligations, I just couldn’t afford it. They apologized my daughter had a brain tumor but that’s all they can do. So now my options are to go to collections and mess up my credit, or go to events and support a company that is inhumane, lacks any compassion, and cares more about enforcing their airtight contracts drafted to screw people over, than about people in general. Horrible company, horrible back end office, horrible rules and regulations. I’m sure someone from E&A will respond about their cancellation clause, that gives you a whole 72 hours to cancel, and the sales rep conveniently skips over. Irrelevant, grow a heart and soul E&A.

Even though I was interested in the kind of activities they had, I was anxious to see what my first event would be like. I still had the same type of anxiousness for the different events as I wouldn’t know what to expect, but I’ve made many friends. I've gone to four or five trips and over 100 events and ATV riding, camping and paintball are three of my favorites but they also have a bunch of other stuff like dodgeball, trampoline dodgeball, volleyball and wine tasting.

I was impressed that Events and Adventures has something going on pretty much everyday. I was looking for something more during the week and not so much on the weekends because on the weekends, I usually spend that with my friends and family.

The first Events and Adventures event that I went to was a tiki bar. I met several people and it was good. I've been to a dozen events and there's something about each one of them. I haven't done anything that is taking me out of my comfort zone or I have never done before but I'm enjoying my experience with Events and Adventures. I wouldn't sign up for something that I wouldn't enjoy to go and I talk to my friends often about them 'cause they're curious to hear how it is. It's been different people, so I'm not always amongst the same person all the time. I always try to meet a new person. But I live in the suburbs so I don't particularly care to go to the Chicago events. It's just so congested going in and I'm always running in late into them so I like to just more focus on the events that are in the suburbs rather than go to the city.

Events and Adventures hasn't been too great. I felt lied to a little bit. The program itself is very expensive and the guy who was trying to sell me and get me to do the membership told me everything I wanted to hear so that I'll give him money. I wish that I could get my money back, but that doesn't look like that's gonna happen. For starters, I was well aware of the age range of the program. But he made it seem like there were going to be people around my age there, in their 20s, which was what I interested in. I've been to quite a few events and there had not been a single person. I am the youngest person in the program, which they made me believe that that was not the case. And I'm not happy about that. Everybody is in their 40s or 50s or older. I have been ripped off completely of thousands of dollars that I'm not gonna get back all because someone told me what I wanted to hear, and I fell for it.

I've been to 3 events and I've signed up for a lot. I went to get dim sum in San Francisco. That was really nice. They had like a fortune teller there. That was pretty cool. I was interested in the activities that Events and Adventures offered. There were things to do. It was something besides sitting home, doing laundry and watching Netflix. I haven’t gone on any international trips yet, but I’m a host now so I’ve been on numerous events. We’ve done so much. We went through Moaning Caverns cave and zip-lining. We went to theme parks. We’ve done things as innocuous as just getting around a table and playing board games. We do a lot of things and part of it is camping. It’s really not so much the event. It’s the people. Since I’ve joined, I've found new friends and quality friends - friends that I will keep even if I’m not a member of the club anymore... friends that if something happens to me, I can call.

I was looking for personal networking for friends and dating, just to have more social events to go to, and Events and Adventures have that. I was nervous and wasn’t sure what to expect at my first event but then I felt comfortable after I got there and I met people. The group activities I’ve done so far were the Book Club, Coffee and Brew, I’ve done a dinner, and I’ve done trampoline dodge ball which was one of my favorites. I was more physical and I enjoy active things so that was a lot of fun. I am looking forward to the Memorial Day camping that’s coming up next weekend.

The only thing is that is a lot of the events get cancelled. I don’t have a lot of time on my calendar so when I have that day open and I booked something, then I’m really committed to going. There have been 12 scheduled things that I’ve confirmed and five of those have been cancelled. I kind of keeping it also on a more consistent basis. So, I’ll go two weeks, sometimes longer without going to an event because it depends on my calendar, and then when something gets cancelled, that pushes out the experience further and limits my interaction with some of the groups. But most of the people I met are nice and they’re casual friends.

I’ve always searched for events and vacations for singles. Then an ad for Events and Adventures popped up ‘cause I definitely don’t get out very much. Based on the very minimal information I could find out without going to that meeting, it was like they went out and did a lot of things that I wouldn’t normally get to do by myself. So, I figured I would see what it was about. On the first event, I really didn't know anything about it and what to expect. That part was a little bit unorganized. Meeting new people and doing things I don't even know about was a little nerve-wracking. Luckily, the website had the host's information. So, I texted and asked her where to go and what we were doing.

On the very first event with the young professionals, they all knew each other already and I didn't get into their group that night. It was a little bit uncomfortable. But some of them did a really good job. The host at the event also went out of her way to welcome the group and she was trying to tell me some things. I didn't exchange numbers or anything until a couple of weekends ago when I met those guys. But we’re getting to become friends. There are not too many prospects for any real significant other at this point, but definitely some friends. We were texting all day yesterday about if we would able to go to any events this week or when the next one would be.

I work for an insurance company and we are very busy with all of the hail and flood. If I'm having a rough day at work, I would sway if I wanted to go out and see people I might not know and might not have conversations with or if I just wanted to go home and pass out. That prevented me from being as motivated to go to events. I’ve also talked to my friends about it and I’m trying to get them to come with me, so at least I have somebody to talk to. But I noticed that most people don't do that.

I've attended about seven events now. The bowling was probably my favorite and it was more fun because we had one of those icebreaker events. I met some new people at the icebreaker and we were all on the same team and we got to know each other, and it was a lot more fun because we all had conversations and got to know each other really well. It was more intimate. The Rangers games are really fun as well. And I’m scheduled for several things this month.

It has been a fun experience with Events and Adventures. It’s great to get to know new people. They have events for everybody, so I’m not gonna like everything. Nobody’s gonna like all the events all the time, but at least one event a week strikes your attention, and that’s the best part. Once you get comfortable, you should go to events that you wouldn't normally like so that you could meet different people and expand your horizon.

So far, I've been to about four events since I’ve joined in April and I still plan on joining more. But things are getting busy around the change of the season, so right now, it’s a matter of finding more time to set aside for Events and Adventures.

I liked the MassVR out there at Old Orchard. It was like a laser tag with the VR headset which was pretty cool enough to even take some of my own friends that I know from other places and fly them over there. So, I went back to some of the places that I’ve gone with E and A before. I also went to a wicker bowl through Events and Adventures and I have made a few close friends. I’m glad I was able to find the time to sign up now with them and I like how they are open to bring a plus-one along to these events. I moved to Houston from Hawaii by myself and overheard about Events and Adventures over the radio. I work two jobs and while I made friends through work, all they do is go out, drink, get wasted and party. That was fun but when that's all you do, it gets boring. Also, I'm getting older and I'm getting into this mentality about trying new things and doing stuff. So I did my own research and went to Events and Adventures' website. I read the reviews which budged me in that direction.

When I went to my first event, I was completely nervous. It was a billiards event at a bar. But as soon as I walked in, everybody was super friendly and introduced themselves to me, so it was awesome. Then, I went to the game night for the first-timers. They had barbecues and I loved that we played Cards Against Humanity. I had a lot of fun there.

I normally go to the gym after work and then go home so I was shocked that they had physical events during the week too. I try to go to majority of them like jogging and Smoothie King but my all-time favorite so far is the volleyball which they only do once a month. I left a review saying they should have it more often 'cause it's cool to have those drinking events on a Friday or Saturday and then do physical events during the week. I've also signed up for the Comedy Night. I've never been to a stand-up comedy show ever so it's gonna be a bunch of firsts for me with Events and Adventures.

Wanting to try something new, I got into Events and Adventures and have been to around six of their events. I was nervous coming to the first one with nobody to go with, but I felt like it was good. And then I knew more people and we hang out. It's fun things to go. My favorite is the one where we went hiking to the Mission Peak at night. And then, we had the fire station one, which was my last, but I didn’t finish that because the firemen went out for emergency.

I recently moved to the area and knew only one person here. I thought Events and Adventures would be a great way to make new friends and grow my network. I was a little bit nervous before arriving at my first event. We all are, I think. You go to your first event, you’re not sure what to expect and what kinds of people you’re going to meet. But I felt confident enough that the kinds of people I would meet would be more professionals like me rather than just random folks that you’d meet at a bar. That was a little bit of peace of mind that I liked about E & A and part of the reason why I joined. That change after I arrived though. In the group that we were at, everyone seemed to be at least courteous. They tried to engage and get involved with everyone else. Everybody was cordial with each other, but more than that, they were trying to be warm.

I went to Tahoe with E & A once and it was a lot of fun. I do events pretty regularly, but the out of town and traveling stuff, I’ve only done the Tahoe trip. It was a ski lodge kind of a thing. We all stayed at a rented house. I shared a room with a bunch of folks and everyone had a bunk. Everyone was courteous and there wasn’t a whole lot of loud craziness going on at night. We did have some nocturnal fun though, like board games and drinking. But when people were getting ready to go to bed, we were courteous about making sure that we weren’t being too loud. It was a little stressful for a couple of folks because of the weather and having to drive in the snow. Then there was traffic and other considerations like that. But those did not detract from the overall experience. All in all, it was a good time. The people made it fun.

My favorite event is the New Year’s event, not this past year at the ballpark, but the one prior to that on the rooftop. Everybody got dressed up. Although it was expensive and I understand that the expense was rough for some people, but to me, it was worth it because it was loads of fun and there was plenty to do. However, my dad was in the hospital for a while. I put my account on hold so that I wouldn’t waste a month that I’ve already paid for. I wasn’t able to do any events in April, but I’m hoping that May proves to be a much better month for everybody.

I’ve made some close friends and some good friends. Although I have not found a significant other, that wasn’t really my initial goal. The salesperson who was interviewing me and trying to sell me on E & A just didn’t care or pay attention to anything that I was saying when I was telling her that I just wanted to make some friends. All she was talking about was me meeting somebody special. The worst part of my experience was the salesperson here in San Jose. Aside from that, I understand that this is a singles club and I know that people have met their significant other either in E & A or through E & A, and that’s wonderful. But there are lots of people who don’t. I feel like framing E & A that way can create false expectations.

For me, I’m not here to find one special someone. I wouldn’t be opposed to that, but I went because when you go to a place where you can meet some great people, have a great time, chat with folks, and get along with people, you can make close friends and have a social group that you enjoy being part of. That is what has happened for me, and I like it.

E & A 5 feels like a labor of love, which I like. I’ve met Mark, the owner, and I like him. But I feel like there are some things that E & A could definitely do better. The website needs some work. And when I use the app to check on the event and what’s going on, there isn’t an app. It’s just a mobile version of the website, which is extremely difficult to navigate. Some members of E & A are working on an app and working on improving this in order to earn event credits, but the fact that no one from administration is hiring web developers feels less professional than it could be.

The cost versus benefit could be better too. We’re paying a lot of money to be part of E & A and there are a lot of benefits that go along with that. However, when we go to a concert, we’d pay a bunch of money to get seats, but I don’t always feel like we get the best seats. I feel like if I hadn’t joined E & A and I saved that $1,000, then when I went to an event, I would pay whatever the cost to me through E & A was and kick it up by $40. I would then get way better seats at events like plays, theater performances and musical performances, and I still would be a net positive as far as cost.

I would spend less if I wasn’t a member of E & A going to these same events and getting better seats. The positives far outweigh the negatives though. With E & A, I wouldn’t be going by myself or with one friend who can afford to go. I’d be going with a group and we could all discuss afterwards. We can also all go to a bar afterwards and enjoy the experience together, which is always nice.

I love E & A. I’ve already renewed once and may renew again, depending. If you can afford the money, it’s worth giving it a shot. It's a great place to meet people that are of similar means and capability. There’s a pretty interesting diverse group of folks. While you won’t get close to or be friends with a lot of people you’ll meet, you will meet plenty of people that you do connect with.

After a while, a lot of my friends moved away to college and such, and then my friends that are still at home never really wanted to go out. I was trying to basically improve my social skills, status, go out, and experience things. But since none of my friends really wanted to do those, I took a look into Events and Adventures. My experience with Events and Adventures has been great. It has been a lot of fun. It was not what I expected but kinda what I expected at the same time. I was a little curious attending my first event. I was always more of a shy, quiet guy, and I’m trying to be more extroverted. Also, I was curious about the age difference or the age range of it for a while, because I heard about the ad two years before I signed up. But I figured that it was all more late 20’s, early 30’s and such. And then, finally, I have decided I’ll figure it out and just kinda go from there.

The age range is a little bit of a challenge, but not terrible. It was how the events played out. It really didn't matter. I like the fact that typically, after the events, the whole gang goes out to a local bar or a pub. So it bounced out and worked out. I made a couple of good buddy friends through the first event, and then we went to more throughout. And we’ve been in contact outside of the events and such. I also went out on a date or two with one member from there, but unfortunately, it didn’t work out.

But it went further than I was expecting. I’ve been with them for six months, and I haven’t really dated anyone. And then the beyond for two, three months and being able to go out with someone, it just surprised me. Overall, I've enjoyed the event I had been to. I signed up for the laser tag event they got going on, which I’m really looking forward to. And there’s a handful for May that really piqued my interest. Also, there’s the Rivers Casino outing next week.

I have been with Events and Adventures for under two years. I heard about it through the radio and I felt like it was a good way to meet some people. The ones I like the most are drinking bar events. I didn't have any that I don't care that much mainly because if I wasn't interested in doing it, I won't sign up for it. After all, it takes a month or two to get to know people. Other than that, they should get a phone app instead of having to go to the website.

I'm a recently divorced mom in my 40's. I needed to get out and wanted to meet new people of different ages. I was interested about the Events and Adventures Club to meet some new friends who like to do some interesting things. Although initially, the single part caught my attention. My first event was a party which wasn't the best idea to start with. I could hold my own in a party, so it was fun. But I got completely lost and the logistics was a hassle. They did their best to explain the direction of how to get there but once I did, I couldn’t get in the building.

I called several people but no one picked up. When someone came down the same time as I did, he said, “Oh, I’m just seeing if my friend’s here.” I came from far away and drove the whole way so I was frustrated. I eventually asked some random woman to let me into the building. That was rough and I didn’t know if it was too much to ask to have someone sit down there. Events and Adventures was very surprised that happened but it wasn't really their fault.

I like weird stuff and things like hiking catches my eye. It was hard to meet people who like weird stuff too. I have attended a couple of group events and trips and I have a couple more to do. I went to the party and the after-party at the dive bar. But my favorite is the Water Lantern Festival that I just went to in San Jose. It was awesome and was good timing for me. Then, I signed up for the camping trip because I heard it was awesome. They also have some weird meditation thing, but it’s a half hour in the city. It’s gonna take me forever to get there so I don’t know if I’m gonna do it.

I’ve met a couple of people that I’ve seen at a couple of events and there's this guy I get excited when I see but I wouldn’t say we’re buddies. Honestly, I’m afraid to go out with anyone and would love to just make good friends, but I don’t think I’ve done enough. I’m still a newbie and I’ll just take it slow. But overall, I like Events and Adventures.

I was very nervous and apprehensive for my first Events and Adventures event because it was like stepping out into a new thing. When I got there, I found that the people were very cliquish like an old social gathering club. People would only go to an event if someone else is going. I went to the Frank Lloyd house, the golf outing and the karaoke, and in every event, nobody wanted to talk to anyone but who they know. The only person I spoke to each time was the organizer. People were standoffish and pretended to be something that they're not. So even though everything was good with my credit card payment, I was dissatisfied with my experience.

It's like you do a VR game and you move around. It's easy and cool. Other than that, I've done hiking and also heard a lot of good things about the camping trip. So I'm gonna do that soon. It’s been nice to have preplanned things to do, like entertainment-leisure-activity kind of things outside of work. Rushing at the end of the day, you already know there’s already something planned, and then you have to figure everything out. And although it's still early to make any new friends, my experience at Events and Adventures has been good so far.

I was just curious to see what Events and Adventures was about. I'm new to the area, so I wanted to meet people and that was their pitch. However, Events and Adventures is mostly just the same thing as Meetup.com, except that they charge you a membership fee, whereas Meetup.com doesn’t. It's a club, but I don’t feel like there was anything crazy special.

I've only attended three meetups and the experiences were okay, although the first event was kind of a joke. At the first event I attended, there was this walkthrough at a marketplace and they built it up as, “Oh, this is where Mark Zuckerberg goes and stuff.” And I was like, “Oh, that sounds interesting.” So, I go there. The place was closing as the event was starting so obviously, the coordinators didn’t coordinate that event well at all. If they did any sort of coordinating, they would have known that and that wouldn’t have happened. That was a huge disappointment. If I'm paying you a couple of grand and I'm paying extra for the events, I expect things to go well or things at least go according to plan. They could do a lot better job. But if things stay the way they are, I definitely won't renew my membership.

I've attended an all member mingle and it was okay. A lot of the people though seemed like they were out of my age range. There was a lot of older people. There were a few people in my age range. Several of them were from way up in San Francisco. It was what you would expect from a typical meetup, but at least with the typical meetup from Meetup.com, you get people that tend to be more local, but there, it seemed like they were from all over. Also, the meetups I have attended had a lot of the same people showing up. I like that because it helps you get to know people. But Meetup.com had a similar deal. Because of the exclusivity of it, it makes it more likely that you will see the same people again and again. That could be a good thing, but that could be a bad thing too. If you wanna meet more people, then that’s a bad thing. If you wanna get to know the same people more, then that’s a good thing.

A lot of the meetups fill up quickly. There have been a few I really want to attend even though they're months and months out, but they were already booked. They have a Las Vegas trip and I really wanted to attend that. I have no hope of attending that and it has been that way for months simply because it filled up so quickly. Aside from that, Events and Adventures have a handful of long vacations all over the world. But there are meetups on Meetup.com where they also have these vacations. And even though you're paying a membership fee like thousands, you're still completely on the hook for whatever expenses that they have during the meetup, like pay for meal, that’s totally you. Whatever cost, that’s totally on you.

Events and Adventures' choice of events aren’t bad, but they could do a better job. Even though they charge you over $2,000 a year, none of that appears to go towards anything other than just being allowed to attend the meetups. That’s it. So, it doesn’t go towards the expenses or anything of the meetups. For how much they charge for membership, I don’t feel like I'm getting my money’s worth. If you compare them to Meetup.com, they don’t charge you a dime for membership, all you have to so sign up. I'm dissatisfied. if I'm gonna pay that much for membership, I should feel like I'm getting a special treatment and I should be getting something that other services out there don’t offer. They should make you feel special. I don’t get that. Obviously, they have a thing where only members of Events and Adventures can attend these events, whereas Meetup, anybody can attend.

I have one event signed up this month but since I work swing shift, 90% of the items available are not available during the time that I am. Events and Adventures was a way that I could somewhat get back on the dating scene, but have stuff pre-planned. It is a great program. The first event I went to was fine and I have attended two events so far. I enjoyed myself in the bowling social night and there was also a game night once. I have signed up for two others but I had to cancel at the last minute because of work. I have such a busy lifestyle being a medical so I have been a little skittish about signing back up because I understand not wanting to cancel at the last minute because it impairs others. It is kinda hard for people who are professionally driven to be able to cancel in a reasonable-like manner. So, I have not planned anything for at least two months but it is not out of lack of interest or the program itself. Despite that, Events and Adventures is great and I enjoy it. I recommend them to anyone who has a reasonably flexible schedule.

I enjoyed the axe-throwing and I was strangely good at it.

I’m almost 50, and Events & Adventures has a younger demographic than what I had anticipated. I was led to believe that it was 30 to 60-year-olds. Also, it’s not in my neighborhood, so it’s a lot of work to actually go to the events. I was told it was in the Chicagoland area, but it’s really like Chicago proper and the Western suburbs. Every single thing is a big commute. But that’s not the club’s fault. Had I been in charge of signing myself up, I would've chosen something in my neighborhood.

I recently divorced and a friend said that she joined Events & Adventures a few months earlier. She said everybody was over 50 which was my demographic. But I was shocked upon arriving at my first event which was a walk around the park. Everybody was under 30 with an exception of three other women who were about my age. One of these women joined Events & Adventures a couple of months before me and she said that the demographic was horrible. She wasn't gonna meet anybody there.

I'm enjoying the events and I attended six events. After the first several events though, I knew that I wasn't gonna meet anybody. I'm just going to the events to find joy. There have been a couple of older guys but they should shower before they come. I'm glad that I only have a six-month membership. On the whole, I'm a little disappointed because when I was having my little interview to join, the fellow was saying that there were lots of people my age. I should've had him clarify about the women my age. I would not be recommending Events and Adventures to any of my friends who are my age.

Also, I like to do volunteer work and I had one volunteer session at the Salvation Army downtown which was great. I think Events and Adventures should do that on a monthly regular basis. It just seems so self-involved to be doing all these other things when the Salvation Army desperately needs help. The experience was really enjoyable and they did a tour afterward.

I was interested in meeting other single people since I lost my husband. All my friends are married and I'm a retired teacher. I've enjoyed my experience with Events & Adventures so far, although I just can't do a lot during the week. If I work, it is too hard for me. I just work on the side. Some days I work and some days I don't, so it would be nice if they had some things during the day. It would have a bit of a crowd. I was okay with my first event with Events & Adventures. It was the first-timers and it was rather noisy. I met a lot of people and it was kinda overwhelming. I'm going to places that I would never go on my own and places I didn't even know existed in Houston.

I've been to the Wolf Sanctuary to volunteer and I've also been to the St. Patrick's Day party. I've been on a hike and at the trivia night. I went to a cycle class and it was fun, as well as the game night out in the garage where they had a certain game they played. I've attended less than 10 events and trips so far and my favorite was the game night. I like a smaller crowd, it is not so noisy. I've also done Bingo and I loved that. It was fun.

I've met some girls and I tried to meet with them again, but they were not around. I met one girl this past time and I really liked her. We went to Griglia, the Italian restaurant, but it was full. She had invited a friend that is not a member and we kinda crashed the party. We got our own table and our reservation. I like them and we are supposed to try to meet once a month. I've met friends but not anybody I'm doing outside of the E&A except for that lady. I also met a guy that I'm texting back and forth with.

I had just moved back to the area and I didn’t know a lot of people my own age. I was looking to utilize Events and Adventures as a stepping stone to build some connection throughout the Chicago land area. I was a little nervous at my first event but I've already been to 3 events now. I really enjoyed the pottery class last week. I wasn’t very effective at it, but it was nice to try something new. I also went to a dinner and to a wallyball game. I've got a couple of things next week as well. I live far out so it takes a little bit of time to get everywhere and I wanted to make sure that it was gonna be worth the amount of money that I'm paying for. And so far, it's been good. I've made some good acquaintances and I'm gonna see where everything goes from there.

I like to travel around and try to meet new people. I joined Events and Adventures and I felt awkward attending my first event but I got the feel of it after a couple of the events. Sometimes I feel awkward in some of these things, but I worked it out. I met a couple of guy friends and I've done two things with a couple of them. There are also others from some of the other things and we're going out in a couple of days, but nothing’s really clicked. I've already attended more than 30 events and I would like to join the trips but some of them are just out of my price range. My favorite event so far is the glassblowing. Last night was game night where people brought their own board games at this one place and they sat around and played. I won three times last night, so I was happy.

I’ve been divorced for three years and I don’t have that many single friends. I had friends that told me about Events and Adventures. It was a way to increase my circle of single friends. I was very scared and apprehensive at my first event. I didn’t know what it was gonna be like to walk up to a group that I didn’t know. But the event was wonderful because as soon as I walked up and saw everyone, one smiled and greeted me. The host made sure that I felt welcomed, so it was great.

There was a new member icebreaker where all the new members got together. Then after that, we had a games night, and it was the new members and some existing members came. That was a way to get all of the newbies acclimated and meet other people that just started. I’ve attended about five events and I’ve seen people multiple times and I’m starting to learn names. Overall, Events and Adventures is a great thing. I’ve really been enjoying it and I’m really glad that I joined.

I was new to Chicago and I didn’t know a whole lot of people. I worked in the building industry and I had no interest in hanging out for contractors every evening. My first event with Events and Adventures went fine. And I’ve attended about 10 of their events. They’re big into meeting in the parks that don’t cost anything, and that depends on who they’re appealing to. There was also drinking in these events. But I don’t go drinking with anybody and I don’t need a professional organization to arrange a drink.

I lived in Chicago in the past and there was a group back then who paid people to do their job. But with E & A, it seems to be almost driven by the volunteers. They want to charge money, but they go on the cheap. Chicago has a healthy theatre in our city, but I don’t see a whole lot of events going to the theatre. It could be an Off-Broadway. It doesn’t have to be the Goodman Theatre and it doesn’t have to be a $135 a night tickets. There's a lot of smaller productions that they can research. Plus it goes back to the fact that they don’t have people to lead.

In the winter months of November to March, the events are going out for dinner either every other Friday or every other Saturdays. Chicago is a great city for food and it’s cold, and there isn't a lot to do outside. They don't have activities outside because somebody doesn’t wanna do that sort of stuff and they’re cheap and lazy from that perspective. They could definitely be doing stuff that they wouldn't want to.

Looking at Events and Adventures, I initially liked the events thing and the planning that they did for you. I have a big group of friends but none of them really seem to have this common interest. I could never get a party together to go and do the same thing. But with Events and Adventures, I was gonna meet people of similar interest and make new friends. For my first event, being nervous was a natural feeling. You show up by yourself and you don’t know anybody. But when I got there, the icebreaker thing was wonderful and it really did its job.

I've done a handful of events so far. I met a lot of people who I get together and hang out with on nights. My membership is coming up soon and I haven’t really decided if I’m gonna sign up again for another membership or let it expire. It's just a money thing for me right now. Of the events I've been to, I love the water rafting. I had never done that before. I couldn’t get a group of friends to go, so I was like, “Let’s go water rafting with a bunch of strangers.” And it was so much fun. But there were a couple of things that I paid for that I was disappointed with. It wasn't a whole lot, though. Also, I talk about the group at Events and Adventures to all of my friends all the time and they were starting to miss me. Some of my friends are single and I tell them to come and join me.

I was nervous about going to my first event but it was very comfortable after I got there. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming and wanted to get to know you. So it was really easy to get to know people and start to make connections.

I have gone to about five or six events and I really enjoyed the dancing lessons that they've done. Those have been a lot of fun. I also enjoy the ones where I get to interact with people a little bit more than just drinking and socializing and the card games and stuff like that. So far, it has been good. It has just been a matter of finding activities I'm interested in that works with my schedule. But they have a lot. Somebody who's considering joining needs to be willing to put themselves out there to get the most out of it versus just being passive and letting it happen. You kinda have to be willing to step out of your comfort zone.

My objective with Events and Adventures was to rebuild my social circle and discover what was fun going on around. The first time was a little bit low-key, probably not my kind of event. But I had to try a different kind of event to see what I like, what I didn’t like and what kind of group that I like to be around and not. The fact that there are so many different groups makes it easier to find the proper group for you.

I like all the outside events, like trekking. I’ve discovered a certain event and I became very close to one of the hosts, and that made me discover a lot of things I didn’t know. The latest one was the Mardi Gras Valentine’s event and that was amazing. There was a social dance at the end of last month, and we have gone to see a hockey game which I haven’t done in ages. The Trivia one was something I’ve never done before and I'd never even thought about doing it, but the host convinced me to try it out. I also met someone that I fell in love with which was not the objective of joining. I wanted to just build my social circle, but it happened so I’m really happy. I'm even thinking of putting my name to become a host.

There’s also an event coming up that involves a trampoline, but I’m not quite sure if I wanna do that. I’m not allowed to drive because I’m blind, I’m not allowed to walk because I have no balance, and I’m definitely not allowed to ride a bicycle because I have no depth perception. I was most interested in the social aspect of the Events and Adventures club. before arriving at my first event, I was looking forward and eager, but after I left it I wasn't feeling wonderful nor distraught but just normal. To date, I have attended four events. Usually, I participated in engaged and movement-type activities. My first event had volleyball in a beach setting and there was a lot of movement. Other events that I attended were the roller-skating event and some alcohol tasting events. Of all the events that I attended, the one that I liked best was the one where there was a murder mystery. That was fantastic. There are some events that I have wait-listed for but that I haven’t been approved for. I've made one new friend that I speak to semi-regularly, but other than that I just see familiar faces.

I was fortunate that I had enough in my bank account and I could pay for the lump sum that goes along with membership, whereas if you’re paying month-to-month, you’re given a monthly fee on top of the membership cost. But with that membership, I’m not necessarily getting a good deal on events that I'm having to pay for. There are some free events, but the pricing is too high for a number of these events, and that has discouraged me from wanting to go to some events. So, I’m paying for the monthly cost but I’m not getting a reduced price on the majority of events.

Also, I wanted to get out, socialize, and just not stay in all the time. And I didn’t wanna be on a dating site. I’ve heard horror stories from my friend and I didn’t wanna get involved with that. Events and Adventures is way is a good way to do it, so I joined. Aside from that, I liked the social events that they offered.

I signed up in February and the next week, I attended my first event with them. I went to a charity and I felt comfortable there. I talked to the people that were there and it was really nice. I also asked them a few questions and about how long they’ve been a member. On the following Tuesday, I went to an event again. It was supposed to be a five-dollar night, but they were going through a transition on the person that was handling the scheduling, so whoever it was that was filling in just picked the movie. And it was not a five-dollar movie. We went to see Glass but that was okay because I wanted to see the movie anyway. I enjoyed both events that I went to but after the second one, I got sick so I didn’t go anywhere for a while.

But we’ll have a company trip that we’re going on in April. We’re going on a cruise to Cozumel and those who are married can take their spouses while the others are taking their friends. At Events and Adventures, I’m recognizing some of the same people who showed up at both the events that I went to. Though there were some new ones that were at the show that I had not seen before. I’ve also made a few friends but not a significant other. I didn’t join to find one.

I had really no expectation when I went to my first event, the roller skating. I just wanted to see what it was and I just showed up. There were a few people and it wasn’t as organized as I thought it would be. I met the coordinator, but other than that, I didn’t know who was part of the event and who wasn’t because a large number of people were there roller skating. I've attended three events so far and the game night was my favorite, it was fun. The hiking was fun too although it was a little short. I thought they shortened it because in the past events, they had people that couldn’t keep up.

I've made a few folks at the events and they have a melting pot of different types of people. They have very shy and they have very outgoing, it’s just very different than what I’m used to. I wish Events and Adventures would have more diverse events. That would be good. There seems to be a lot of repeating stuff like the volleyball. One thing I noticed is there’s a lot of cliques within the group. The people that have been doing this for a while kinda segregated themselves into little groups for over two years kind of thing. Still, I recommend Events and Adventures.

I was interested in the different activities that Events & Adventures does. I was a bit nervous arriving at my first event, but it turned out to be good. I've done about five or six events, so far, and my favorite has been the game night. On top of that, I went to a museum once and had brunch on a Sunday as well. There was one that was at an eatery which seemed fun. I met a couple of people who seemed really nice, and everybody has been easy to talk to and get along with. I don't see why people wouldn't want to join. Events & Adventures is really fun and it's really cool to meet different people and do different things.

Events and Adventures has a variety of activities. I went to my first event and then I didn’t do many more until recently because I felt like the demographics weren’t well represented. I’m an older member and the majority of the members were much younger. I asked about that and I don’t think that was quite handled truthfully. So, I was a little frustrated with the first few events. I’m in the suburbs, so the event has to be unique or at least something I have not done to get me to come into the city.

I’m trying to at least make the most now of the membership. I’ve realized that these are the demographics and it’s not gonna change. There are some very nice people but I haven’t made any friends per se, but that’s fine. I’ve lowered my expectations in regards to people and just done the activities for what they are. They had a play last month. It was a very good opportunity and that was a nice surprise. I’m going to an event tonight in Chicago. I’m doing a work meeting first in a little while, and then I’ll go off to the dinner and dancing after work.

Events and Adventures was advertised quite a bit like around New Year’s. I heard them on the radio saying, “Do things you enjoy doing and meet people while you’re at it.” I joined Events and Adventures about a month ago. But I didn’t realize that it was a singles only kind of group and that they interviewed you. I just thought it was another meetup group. I am actually in some other meetup groups that are just free. But I’ve been doing more of the Events and Adventures because it’s costing me money. It’s not really a dating group. But it is kind of for singles to meet other people which is good.

I like that Events and Adventures has an age range because a lot of the meetup groups that I joined were younger. I’m 53 so it’s kinda hard to meet people my age, especially since people my age and older are usually not as active and they don’t like to socialize as much. But I enjoy going out, going to restaurants or movies, or just doing things. I’ve been trying to get more active physically so I’ve been doing the kickball and volleyball activities. Those were nice.

There are a lot of nice people that I’ve met through Events and Adventures and I’ve been seeing a few of the people. Some are the same people at some of the events. Some of them friended me on Facebook. Events and Adventures also offers a good variety of different events and they are in different areas of the city. I’ve mostly been trying to do some that are close to me other than the Gilbert area. I’ve gone to quite a few. I signed up for two events, but I had to cancel because I had to go out of town. I was gone all of last week.

But one thing is that Events and Adventures is very pricey. You have to pay the event fees on top of your membership fee. It is a strain financially because I’m a single parent and I work full-time. Other than that, I appreciate the fact that they offer a lot of different events which I know cost money to get those deals. I also appreciate the fact that they kind of vet out their members. They make sure that they are committed and interested, don’t have a record, and have a stable job.

Another things is maybe there could be more weekend stuff. For people that work full-time, it’s kind of hard to do stuff during the week. They could also try to schedule earlier events because a lot of the events are at 7 or 8 o’clock at night. If you have to drive far, by the time you get home, it’s already 10 o’clock and this is on a weeknight. I would also like the more festival type of things or going as a group to things such as an art festival, music festival, food festival and those type of things. Those are fun.

But I've been busy at the beginning of the year so I've only been to the New Year’s thing. It was set up well, had a flow of traffic, and everything was pretty good. The people there seemed nice and approachable, too. So far, I don't have anything planned next but I’m looking at the world travel stuff. That’s very interesting and I’m glad that they have that. All in all, Events & Adventures is great.

I was nervous going into my first event but the people there, the hosts were friendly so we were warmed up pretty quickly. Over the past three months, I had been to about 20 local events and my favorite is the game night. We hold it at a local clubhouse here in Houston which is the main clubhouse of Events and Adventures. I have also attended the Volleyball event, Archery Tag, Howl at the Moon and arcade night. Events & Adventures is interesting to me because I like the concept of meeting people through events and not through online dating. I find it better and I've met new people. I was a bit stressed though at my first event, the New Year's event, because I didn’t know how it will go. But I got welcomed by one of the organizers and in the end, it was good. But it could have been improved if the organizers focus more on introducing the new people. I’ve only been able to attend two events and my favorite is the icebreaker. It was better because I could really talk and meet the new people who were there, so the objective was achieved. I’m a bit unclear, however, on how the payment works. I put a downpayment on but I don’t recall if I’m going to receive reminders on a monthly basis to tell me how much I have to pay or if it’s being directly deducted from my account. It’s not an area of concern but I want to double check that I’m also fine with my payment.

All I do is travel for work and I recently moved to Arizona. I hadn't spent much time outside of work travel to do anything and meet new people. I thought I’d give Events & Adventures a shot to see what there is to do outside of the regular activities that I know to do in Arizona and hopefully start making some new friends to enjoy myself more here. I’ve done the mini golf, the Coyotes Hockey game, and a morning hike. All three were a lot of fun. I like getting out and I like hiking. I can’t stand golf, but I love mini golf. So far, I've made friends with two guys who were at the hockey game and the hiking event. There’s an icebreakers meeting and I thought I would go to that to meet some people and maybe discuss more about the club. I’m also doing another hockey game next week. I’m also signed up for an Archery Tag event, which I found interesting.

I’m really open to every kind of event they’ve got, except now, it falls with my work schedule. One of these times, I would really like to see about one of these trips that they’re doing around the world and try to do one of those. That’s what I do with my job anyway, but it would be nice to doing it in a vacation way instead of half of it being work. I enjoy Events & Adventures. It's great and I would recommend it to friends.

I heard about Events & Adventures through a friend and what interested me about it was meeting new people. I was a bit nervous on my first event, but it changed after I arrived. I have attended around 50 events and trips so far and the flying trapeze event is my favorite. I'm signed up for the Alaskan trip and I'm also signed up for the ice climbing event for next month, which I'm pretty excited about. I've also participated in Whirlyball, bowling, glassblowing, and ax throwing, and the trip to Wildman was a lot of fun. I also made a lot of friends on Events and Adventures.

Events and Adventures is very expensive, but it's fun. You just have to make sure you are getting the refunds you are supposed to get because I've had to call multiple times for getting money back when I should have but never did. The one thing that I have had issues with is the calendar when it shows that an event is full even after you've canceled. I don't understand why you'd still get charged for it. It says online that it's still full, then they say, "Well, you can't go by that." That should be updated if that's an issue with it not being correct. I lost out on 120 bucks two months ago because I had to cancel on a couple of events last minute, but they still said full, days after I canceled, so I was not very happy about that part.

I've been in a parenting role since I was 19, so I got interested in the opportunities to have a short burst of adrenaline type of fun. I thought some of the things that Events & Adventures advertised would be cool, so as soon as I finalized my divorce, I went in the next day to sign up. I made my introduction into E&A, but it was a bit disappointing because of the system that they are using. There is not much information on their website. Walking in their office, their staff is super friendly, but when they go over the prices and they have pencil and paper and they are drawing up the chart, it feels about 20 or 30 years behind the time. I wish they would eventually change a little to create transparency or at least be a bit more efficient about their own technology.

As far as the event, the host did a good job with it and overall, they try to have a nice diversity and try to please everyone, although the biggest challenge that I have with them is that the events tend to fill up extremely quickly. They publish a calendar once a month for the next month and from there, they send a text saying, "Okay. You can now sign up." However, if you are unable to attend the events, you have to let them know at least a week prior or you potentially lose the money on it. As a single dad with two kids, it is rare that I can even attend the events. It tends to be, at best, once a month and there have been several ones I've had to cancel, so there has not been a lot of bang for my buck as far as that goes.

I was able to attend eight events and the hang gliding was a lot of fun and cool. When you have memorable events that you wanna do, you wanna be able to share them with meaningful people in your life, so you can look back on them and hope that you'd meet someone. From an idealistic standpoint, it's great, but for the most part, the best way I can look at it is it would be fun to do but really hard to schedule if you are just one person. There are some people out there that have had a little more success with the events. For the most part, most of them are kid-free, and it makes sense. I've had a few connections here and there, but I bought a lifelong membership, so I'm not in any rush to make friends. I would recommend Events & Adventures for certain people that have very little obligations and financially can afford to do that stuff, but from a single parent perspective, I would not recommend it to any single parent.

You can do their scheduling stuff from a mobile site, but they don't have a way to export to Google calendar from a desktop. You can also do it to Outlook, but most people aren't using that nowadays. A Google calendar export is so easy to do nowadays, but trying to even view the schedule is really challenging and cumbersome. It would be easy to find a web developer that would make the user experience a lot easier to do. That is a small investment that would make a bigger difference to everyone.

If you live to a town they aren’t located in, they won’t refund your membership. They don’t give a ** about anything but the money. A contract over 4 days is really nothing but a lie. 4 days. That is the max of your contract no matter what you supposedly sign up for.

I just moved to Minnesota and I'm a little too old to go to bars and meet people. Events & Adventures sounded like an interesting way to meet people and a nice social, so I went online and checked on them a little bit. Then, they contacted me and conducted an interview, and I decided to give it a try. I felt a little nervous arriving at my first event, but Events & Adventures made it comfortable. They made me feel really nice and welcome and I never felt any problem with that.

No matter what you like, you're gonna find something that interests you with E&A. I've been on trips with them. I went to Vegas and to New Orleans, and I'm going to Alaska soon. When we went to Vegas, we were on the Strip and the experience was nice. E&A has a good combination of both events and adventures. I like the adventure part and I went skydiving a few times which is my number one favorite. I have gone hand-gliding and dog sledding, too. Then, there are the events which are more socialized stuff like mingling in restaurants and bars. I have been on all kinds of events and I will be doing the New Year one. Since joining E&A, I've made some new friends. I'm just happy that I did it and personally, it was a good thing to do. I do stuff with them that I wouldn't do otherwise or I wouldn't do on my own. I would recommend Events & Adventures.

Events and Adventures was a way to meet people who were single and wanna go out and do stuff. I was a bit apprehensive on my first event and I was a bit worried about the demographic of people that I saw. They put you in the club pretty quickly and in three days, you’re locked in. I started in the beginning of November and I’ve attended 5 events. Most of them are local to the city. I was in bowling in bocce, dominoes and the coolest one was the charity event I went to last week. I’ve made new friends and that’s good. However, they should make the events to cast a little wider. It seems like the same members go to the events that I have seen but if you go to an event where there are other people, there’s a chance to mingle with others.

I’ve gone camping and to the clubs with Events and Adventures. However, I haven't taken any of the trips yet as I find that they're a little more expensive than what I wanna spend. I thought that because we have a group of people, things would be less expensive. Instead, sometimes it seems that things are more expensive and we’re not getting discounts. I’d love this trip that they’re going on to New Orleans, Louisiana. But there’s no flight involved and it’s $1,400 for about three days. It seems like an awful lot. I was also gonna go to the Brazilian Steakhouse and because not enough people signed up, it went from 42 to 52. 42 was pushing it and I’m not gonna pay $52.

I like country dancing and I like it when we go out to the Wild West. I've also gotten a couple of friends. I had one friend, but she’d gotten in a relationship and then I was in a relationship for a while with one of the guys I met. I’m older and it’s kinda hard because most of the people are younger so it’d be nice if the activities would gear towards more older people. It also seems like every Monday and Tuesday they do the same things, such as the volleyball or the wallyball type stuff and it’s hard for me to be involved in those. Events and Adventures should also sometimes be a little more organized about some stuff. We went to a dance thing last few weeks ago and there were only two tables and a few chairs, so not everybody had a place to sit down. Other than that, I always tell everybody that Events and Adventures is fun and I encourage them to go. I really enjoy it and the more people that are there, the more it's fun.

We have a radio station here in Houston and Events and Adventures has an ad on there, and it was mentioned a few times. I checked out the site and saw some of the reviews from what seemed like current members 'cause they were pretty recent. One of the big things was the skydiving stuff, so it was a more adventurous kind of things. But a big part of it I saw was that somebody said Events was a comfortable, organic way to meet people, and that's very true.

Each event got its own group or type of person that would show up to it, so I experienced all kinds of different things and made all kinds of different friends that I probably would have never made had I not been in the group. I attended 25 events and on my first one, I went to an open mic night at the House of Blues where we had dinner and I got to check out the performers there. It was very fun and casual. That would always be one of my favorites 'cause it was my first impression. Then when we went to this VR video game place, we broke up into teams and worked as a team. It was some competition against each other to complete the main objective, so it was kinda fun.

The event manager, Reid, is awesome. He's always available if we ever have questions like through Facebook, in anything, whether it's stuff on our contract or suggesting future events or questions about an event like minutes before it's going on. He's always Johnny-on-the-spot. I have already gotten a coworker in the group for Events and Adventures.

I decided to join Events & Adventures and though at first I was super nervous, as soon as I met a couple of the people, I settled into the program very quickly. At first, I sent to an ugly sweater party which was a complete blast. I've tried to get to that event every year since. From the time I became member, I've usually done the game night every month as well as the cheaper events. I've also gone to the Halloween party and the New Year's Eve party every year. I definitely recommend Events & Adventures. It's a lot of fun. Though it costs quite a bit, it's worth it and I've made a few friends there.

I was nervous before arriving at my first event. It was a painting event and I had a lot of fun. It was like a BYOB, but you could paint and it was good. There were lots of events that I wanted to go to, but I have a busy schedule. In the beginning, a lot of things were cancelled when I didn't want them to, but that’s just how life goes. I got interested to Events and Adventures because the events were already set up and I don't have to plan anything. My first event with them was a comedy club and I was nervous before arriving, but that changed after I got there. The most recent one, their Halloween party, was my favorite. It was a pretty large turnout, so I got to see more people than I would typically see if I just attended one event a month and that was kinda nice. I also did the luau that they had and went to their river trip, the salt river and the tubing activities.

I've attended one event a month in the last 12 months partly because they're so far. A lot of them seem to be in Glendale or Scottsdale and I just kinda wish that Events and Adventures would do more events on the east side of the valley. They did give me a discount for travelling, but it's still inconvenient when things start at 5 o'clock and I gotta get across two hours of traffic. Also, the only other thing that deters people when I tell them about Events and Adventures is the overall cost of joining. But so far, I've made a few girl and guy friends since I joined the club.

I heard about Events and Adventures on the radio a couple of times and never really gave it much thought. Then my sister heard on the radio and encouraged me to do it 'cause I graduated last year, I've been working full time and not really doing anything. I’ve always been talking for the last couple of years of wanting to get out, meet new people, and try new things and stuff, and thought it would be the perfect opportunity for me to do both.

I've only been for a little less than a month and I attended about eight events so far. I was nervous on my first event as I'm not the most confident in situation with new people, but the hosts were really friendly, talkative, funny, and they got me feeling more comfortable right away. Then other people started showing up, and the first guy that I went to was with the new member seminar and then bowling. So, most everybody else that showed up right away was their first event and it was a little easier everybody else being around the same comfortability.

I really liked the virtual reality simulation place, that was great. The first experience I've ever had that stuff and I've always been interested in that. I also liked the dodgeball trampoline, it was so much fun. I've almost never done trampoline, so I got to play dodgeball as an adult from that. It was just a great time. I've made a couple of new friends that I've talked to a little bit and have seen at a couple different events. I'm a little slower on initiating things so hoping to see people a few more times and then maybe meet outside of it also.

I needed to start building adult relationships, friendships, and building balance back in my life because I became obsessive over working all the time to the point that I basically had no time and I was not having fun. I couldn't even hold a civil conversation with an adult, because I work as a TA. Things got to me, and I knew I needed to do something. So I went online and I signed up with Events & Adventures. I went down and met Dan and he told me all about the things and I said I would give it a go. I was okay for the first event because I'm very outgoing and very bubbly. I was more nervous going to meet Dan. I was like, "What am I getting myself into?" This is not safe. So I was like, "Okay, just go with it, just see what happens."

My favorite event so far would be archery. It was really fun. Also, I did the meet and greet, a Christmas movie, and the blanket drive. Then, I'm looking up and signing up on a couple of other ones and I've already booked for New Year's. I've connected with a couple of people and I've seen them when we've talked. It's getting out there and knowing people right now. So, I have a couple of numbers, and everyone's like, "Let me know." I also offered to pick up one of the members as well because I don't drink.

I find some of the times on some of the things may be too early to get to and that's a little bit of a struggle. I've talked with one of the people who said it's really hard treading rush hour traffic when you get off work at three or four and have to be somewhere at five. Other than that, I've already started telling certain people about it. They said I seem like I'm having fun and I said yes. I meet these people and I don't even know what I'm doing. It's fun. There are no expectations of me. I go as I am. I offer bringing them if them if they want. I'm allowed to bring people with me and they can check it out.

The biggest idea about Events and Adventures is that you get out there and do stuff. It's nice to have the people in it be single but it was less of that. What interests me the most is the events and adventures part of the club. However, Events and Adventures hasn't invested more money into the technology used. We have to do everything through a website and it looks like it was designed in the late 90s. Maybe I'm a little bit biased because I'm a software engineer but that's definitely an important thing for this generation. Events and Adventures needs to join the year that we're in and get a mobile app and a web application from this decade going.

Nonetheless, I've joined four big trips so far and an average of three events a month. We've gone to various different activities like WhirlyBall or arcade game and going out for dinner around the world. It's usually a good time. On a regular basis, my favorite event is the volleyball. Then as far as trips, my favorite is the whitewater rafting in the fall. I've found a couple of friends too.

For the things I did, it was nice, but I don't go to the events anymore. Every month, I pay for the $108 membership fee and I don't even use it because I can't afford to go to the events. I had always been kind of curious and interested about joining Events & Adventures but hadn’t been in the place where it made sense. But recently, it made sense for me. I was excited that I was able to go at my first event and found out new things to do. People live in a town and they never know about the things available and I've definitely found out things that are happening that I never knew about.

My first event was supposed to be a bonfire at the beach but there was some weather issue, so we went to a barn. It was a meet and greet for new people. The Borealis event was one of my favorite ones. It was a unique experience and I had no clue that was a thing that ever happened. I also went on some hikes. I'm planning on doing some kind of trips. I had a question on whether or not I could go to other cities and I did. I went to San Francisco and did some events there. I was not really looking for a guy friend but I've talked to a few girls, so it's been productive for me.

My biggest feedback is that there's this Antarctica trip that's supposed to be happening next year, and then they have the Alaska Cruise. Those things are completely sold out like months and months in advance. Obviously, it's something people want to do, and it's apparently not just for a city. There are 12 cities so they're open to all the cities. They should keep those to maybe a couple of city pairs because they're just way too competitive to get in, and that's kind of the reason why I joined was to be able to do stuff like go take a vacation in Antarctica or go take a cruise to Alaska.

I also had numerous events that just didn’t happen that were supposed to happen. So for instance, that Borealis one, the host didn’t even show up at all. So, I just wound up finding some random person who happened to be part of the Events & Adventures. I just walked around with them during that. We were supposed to have some costume display thing for Halloween, and that wound up being after the planned Halloween party. They did that planning very poorly, and they cancelled that event altogether.

There have been numerous cancelled events that I'm not happy with and not being able to go on these trips, to me, that's also a cancelled event because there's not enough room for people who are interested. I know somebody else who said it wasn’t what they expected and wound up going on their little leave of absence. So I'm somewhat satisfied but there are things that can be improved.

I was new in town, I didn’t know anything or anybody and I needed something to do. I decided to sign up with Events and Adventures and for my first event, everybody was really nice. I’ve now been to about nine events where we did different things and they were all good. I especially like the yoga event that I did. Also, there are people from the events that I recognize now. All in all, Events and Adventures is doing everything well. There are different things to do and there is something for everybody.

I like the fact that Events & Adventures procures all the events and I really wouldn't have to do much but sign up. I was excited for my first event and by now, I've done about 20. I did the meet-and-greet party last year then there was an art walk, happy hours and a free movie. I particularly like the movie screeners. I’ve been to about five of those. But I haven't done any of the trips. It's not because I am not interested in them but they tend to be a little bit more expensive than I would like to spend. I feel like I can do the trips on my own for significantly less. I get the trade off in terms of the planning and the group aspect of it. But I think that they could do some of the trips in a more cost effective way and that would be a little bit more appealing to a bigger group of people. But then, it didn't seem like they had challenges filling the spot so maybe it works for them.

I've gone on, technically, one date but nothing came of it. I've met people but there has been nobody that I keep in contact with on a regular basis. The people that I’ve met in different events have also been inconsistent. It's an eclectic crowd and that's not necessarily a bad thing. But I have a hard time finding people that I would connect with. I know Events & Adventures doesn't get profiles and I understand that. But maybe there's a way they could potentially assign a personality to an event such that a person can get a better understanding of what to expect at the event or from the people at the event.

After going to the initial Events & Adventures meetings, I liked the opportunity to do more things with different and more people. I had done about a dozen of events and the variety of events are really good. But the monthly mixer at Postino’s is pretty fun. I made a couple new acquaintances. The locations being throughout across the Phoenix area, also made the spread of the events pretty good. I would recommend to check Events & Adventures out.

I've been hearing about Events & Adventures ever since I was 18 and when I was around 20, I always wanted to join. I moved to a new state and got involved, and I liked it well. I've been in it for a year and I have made acquaintances. I have dated three people, although they were not successful. I was also looking for a best friend, but the opportunity didn’t arise. I've been to the outdoor bar, bowling, and multi-day events. I liked the scavenger hunt events or the ones where you are tossed to be in a group, but the game nights is, by far, my favorite. It’s like college again where you go back in time and hang out with good people. You feel like you’re in the know with everybody and you want to feel wanted. You are gonna catch up with everybody that you may have not seen for a really long time. That is what I was looking for and why I was joining, and it was really nice.

However, I heard there would be a younger crowd and I was hoping for it, but when I got to know more of the people and the event staff, there was a mixture of people. That also made it fun. I joined for friends and I happened to run across a few dates here and there. They were all great and were doing their job. My friends will probably ask if Events & Adventures is a singles club or if it is for swingers, and I will tell them that it is for other groups of people that just wanna get down to whatever their business is. I’d recommend it to a friend.

I signed up with Events and Adventures with the thought that it would be a good opportunity to meet other people. I've attended five events so far. The first one I went to was called urban orienteering. They had to reschedule the event because of inclement weather. I also did a brunch, wallyball, and some sort of a happy hour. I’ve gotten to know people at Events and Adventures. At this point, they’re just acquaintances. So I run into a couple of people a few times and hang out. I haven’t really necessarily got into too much of a relationship, but I'm still working through that and getting to know people.

Events and Adventures is a great platform as far as meeting other people and doing different events. I like that there are varieties when it comes to the events. I have more specific interest that I enjoy doing. But I’m also open to trying other events and opportunities that I probably wouldn’t be as inclined to try had there not been something like that offered otherwise. I’m content and happy with what Events and Adventures is offering. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve been a part of so far.

I moved to a new area and I was looking for a social group. But after I signed up with Events & Adventures, I just didn't wanna have a membership anymore. I had never been to an event yet but I fell one day outside of the three-day window of being able to cancel. Sunday was the last day I had to call in and I called them on Monday. I contacted the recruiter who met with me for my initial meeting and he wouldn’t let me cancel. I was furious but I figured that I might as well try and go to an event. I was unhappy about my first event though. It was something I wanted to do but I had to pay an additional amount and there wasn’t a whole lot of people there. It was in Seattle too. It was very far away from where I live and it was a hassle to get there.

Also, the whole process of being interviewed for the group was psychological torture. If I knew a personal friend who had any kind of anxiety or had gone through trauma, I would never ever recommend Events and Adventures. It’s not a good idea. Overall, I've had a really horrible experience with Events and Adventures. I knew I was gonna have to be shelling out hundreds of dollars a month for a membership that I didn't want. It is absolutely not worth it because you have to pay a large amount of money upfront before you even get to try any event. There's no, "First one is free," or "Try an event with us and if you don't like it, it's a 30-day money back guarantee." It's not designed for people who really want to value what they do with their money or their time. It's really for people who have money to throw down the toilet on a monthly basis.

I've been to at least 30 events and trips by Events and Adventures. The first event that I went to was like a bring your dog to a bar thing. My favorites were a volunteering event, and a hiking trip where some people decided to get dinner afterwards. The ones that do some active thing outside and then people optionally decided to eat after are usually pretty enjoyable. I've tried all the events that they've had to offer locally. The one non-local thing I've done was a camping trip. I've also done volleyball, a sushi-making thing, ad a game where you ride around in different bumper cars and try to shoot a ball in a hoop. Alex, the main person in charge of the Chicago events, was super friendly and awesome. It definitely helps when you have some super welcoming, friendly host to talk to everybody and bring everybody in. My experience has been pretty nice. But it would be easier to see the same people multiple days and events in a row.

So, it wasn't until I got in and started talking to people that I met people from Events and Adventure group. There were also other people in there as well that are not with Events and Adventures. I think it was an open event for the public as well. I've been to three events and so far, I like the French food tasting. Events and Adventures is great for the age group between 30 and 40. The events sounded interesting, and I really liked the interview and the people I interacted with when I went in. I do a lot of other kind of group events, so I was excited to meet new people at the first event I went to.

I've attended about eight events and so far, I really liked the hiking events. I've met a few people and exchanged numbers. At a lot of the bigger events, there's usually at least one or two new people every time, so some of them did a good job of making the new members feel welcome and introduce new people, and some of them didn't. I wish there's a little bit more organization from the host side of Events and Adventures. I wish there was a little bit better instructions and a little bit more leadership. Other than that, I've told others that I really Events and Adventures and I like meeting new people. It is a good opportunity to go to large group events that I probably would normally wanna do just by myself, so it's nice being able to have a group to connect with and share that experience with. I'd recommend it as long as it's a good environment for people that have the money to be able to spend and if they value something like that.

I keep having issues with the events of E&A being far away from where I am. I understand they try to make them centralized, but that’s what keeps me away from the events. They don’t have enough on my side of town. The first one was an icebreaker, in a part of town that was a little bit sketchy. Second one was probably the camping trip. It was a dinner and it was on my side of town, which is why I signed up for it. But it was a teppanyaki, so you only got to talk to the person you were sitting next to. There was no mixing and mingling. It also seems like a lot of people already has boyfriends or girlfriends in this club, so it wasn’t all that appealing to me.

If you don’t live in Phoenix proper or the Scottsdale area, then you’re not gonna find a lot of opportunities. Also if you work a 40 plus hour job, you’re not gonna be able to find a lot of opportunities that really work for you. It also seems that you need to be a lot younger, and if you are a lot younger, you generally can’t afford the cost of it, or you’re doing it on a monthly basis. Being on the older side of it I can afford it, but I don’t have the time to do it. I don’t have time to get home at 5:30 and make it to way across town 25, 35 or 45 minutes away, to a function, on a Tuesday.

Events & Adventures has the mixer thing where it puts you face to face with a good amount of singles. It took me a second to figure out where the group was. But once I met the group and the host everybody was super welcoming and I had a whole lot of fun right away. It was really great. I went to a dozen of events. I’m trying to do one a week and my favorite is the park cooler and the Nerf activity.

I also did Human Hungry Hippos. It’s like on the ice rink and you split up into four teams. It was pretty fun. The last one I did was the campfire music. That was really awesome. It was at this new spot club and that place was really cool. It’s their first night of their patio and they were opening a bunch of artistic fireplaces. They had a DJ, some lights, music, and live emcees. It’s good for everyone and as your night change, you can move around.

However, there’s a lot people there that it’s just a social thing for them. It also seem like there’s a lot of people that are not serious. There’s a bunch of people that are just there because they’re stuck paying the subscription. And then, they show up to an event once a month or so because they don’t want to feel like they waste their money. There’s like a very tight knit group of people of old subscribers. It’s interesting and they all think of each other as cool.

I was nervous going to the first event but the host made me feel welcome and made sure that I was introduced to everybody. And then, as new people were coming into the event, she made sure that I was introduced to those people as well.

I like the Postino dinners. I didn't like the derby race but I think that’s just personal preference. I don’t feel like the host was very engaging in the group. We had a large area. I don’t think that I knew exactly what I was getting into when I signed up for it. There were like four tables and we were all in the same area, but the tables were not interacting. So my table was kind of quiet and there wasn’t anybody engaging us. I was a member for about two months at the time, so I was still not comfortable.
