Events & Adventures Reviews

The experience with Events and Adventures has been interesting. I’m trying to get to know a little bit more about what I can do within the groups. But it was okay. I've only been to two events and there were five people who showed up. So, it was just getting to know the process and the people. I went to a Bears and Chicago party they had at a bar and then, I went to the new members introduction meeting. I tried to sign up for more but everything is booked up for the whole month. They had a bonfire event that I wanted to go to but it was full. That would be very exciting because I haven't done that since I was a kid. So there is not anything for me to do but try and wait it out and see if I can get into something if I can. I would encourage someone who wants to get to know people and experience things to try Events and Adventures. It's a singles group that meet all over the city. It's worth trying.

Events and Adventures have been on the radio for quite a while for me but I've never really considered it too much until recently since a lot of my social life has been thrown out the window. The first event felt very natural and the people there were very welcoming at first, especially the hostess. So I feel much more confident to be able to integrate into the social groups within each of the events. I attended three events, so far. My schedule is very tight. However, what they have available is definitely working on my scheduling, so I appreciate it.

I was interested in doing the event, curious what the people would be like and nervous about COVID. But everybody was really nice. I've gone to three events and they've fine, thus far. The people weren't exactly what I expected. But every event is different. My favorite is the Gallagher Park hike. I've also gone to the waterpark, the Rapids Waterpark, and dog meetups. The waterpark, in itself, was cool, going down the slides and all that stuff. It was something on my bucket list. So it gave me an excuse to go. And as of late, I'm trying to look at some of the international trips, the ski trips. Overall, Events and Adventures has great events but I'm still feeling out the crowd and the people type.

Events and Adventures force me to go out and do more things. The cost was a bit more expensive than I would have liked. But the quality of their events is usually pretty good but it varies from event to event. I like doing bowling and pool shooting events, as well as some of the bar-hopping ones. I had a pretty good time going to events and meeting different people up until the restrictions started coming into effect. Unfortunately this year, I haven't had much chance to go and do things and I'm not a big fan of virtual events.

My experience with Events and Adventures has been good so far. I'm in Florida right now so I was only able to go to one event because some other events got moved to different dates that I couldn't make so I had to cancel those. I like how they have different locations because now that I'm in Florida, I still am able to go to some in my area, which is nice. But with the holidays, it's kind of spending a lot of time with my family, so I I'm not going to as many events.

I just moved to Chicago, so I thought joining Events and Adventures would be a good opportunity to meet people without having to go out to the bars all the time. I was nervous before the first event. But then I got there, and realized how silly I was feeling and I was fine. I've been to two events. The first one was a game night, and it was right when the rides started back up again. So, there wasn't much of a turnout. The second one was whirlyball, and that was a decent turnout. You sit in bumper cars, and they give you a little racket, and you're passing the ball, and then you try to hit a board to get a point. It was a little more difficult than I thought.

A friend that I talked to had said that she joined Events and Adventures a couple years ago, and that would be a good idea for me. So far, my experience has been great. I've been to several events, and there's a great group of people so far. I've been to several game nights and played games, and just out to a couple of social gatherings. I made some friends. Everybody's been very friendly and very open to conversation, which has been helpful and nice. I've had enjoyable discussions and people.

I’ve been a longtime Events and Adventures member, and I’ve been to different events on and off. I went to social events at bars and restaurants. The only thing is you go there to meet new people and socialize, and make friends, or develop a relationship, but a lot of the people aren't there for that. They're just there for themselves and having a fun time. Also, I know COVID is not helping, but Events and Adventures is offering virtual events. For me, especially, I don't see it's worth paying for a virtual event. That's not something that I signed up for. I'm not going to spend my money necessarily going to do that. But at the same time, they do offer events that are at different places. But I’m not gonna play Russian Roulette going out there, and then by chance getting COVID. Plus, they have small events. So the number of groups of people that can be there are small, so the slots get filled right away. So, there's no point.

I was doing research on the internet to try to figure out what I could do to help me get out of my winter funk that everybody gets into. I have a bit of social anxiety. So, it takes me a bit to get out there and start talking to people. But that's why I joined Events and Adventures because it's going to help me a lot in that area. I like the variety of activities the most. Never, in a million years, would I have thought of going to ax-throwing. I'm very happy with it. So far, I did the aerial yoga, a volunteer activity, and a whirly ball activity. I had a great time in all of those.

I found Events and Adventures on Instagram and I was wanting to get out of the house a little bit more to meet people. I was a little bit nervous in my first event, but everything went well. I signed up and I went to the smashing thing. I think they closed due to the pandemic. We did go-karts, but I haven't been able to do much because late June, all July, and early August, I had COVID, so I wasn't able to do anything. Then right after COVID, I've been working. I'm a teacher in the middle of a pandemic, so I don't have time to be able to do events anymore. I do enjoy when I am out there and about with everybody. I really enjoyed my time so far with Events and Adventures. I've made decent friends and really good people that I know that are sticking around for a while. It's a good experience.

There are never events available, everything is always full besides a few boring online events. I am never able to enroll on anything, this is supposed to be for busy professionals, but you have to stay like a college student trying to enroll classes, just waiting and waiting to see if someone drop from the few decent events they offer. I asked to terminate my contract because I haven't been able to get into any slightly decent event and they said I can get out of the contract as long as I paid them $1400 dollars settlement. This is an absolutely scam. Please stay away, they are very good at promising fantastic events and there is nothing but few dinners at a beer place and bike rides where you still have to pay and there is never space if you try to enroll any day after the second of the month.

I’ve been with E & A since March and I've made a lot of great friends. My first event was a group of women and the camping activity was really fun. It's fun to meet new people that you can bond with over commonalities. Everybody's so different but everyone kind of has common goal in this group.

I’m a single mom and didn’t have much going on. So I figured that it would be neat to meet some new people and get out and about through Events and Adventures. I was excited and I had a good time at my first event. I went back in February before COVID and since then, I got to do three events and then it stopped. I've attended about 30 or so events. I love our new member meetings. We then did bowling. That one is part of the more fun ones that I like attending because there are so many of us that go, and we get to meet new members. It's a big event. This coming Friday is bowling. Next Thursday, we’re doing a Thanksgiving potluck and next Friday, we’re doing a trivia night at a brewery. I met new friends and bonded with quite a few people. I’m loving it. It’s awesome and it's so much fun.

I was interested in getting out, doing fun things and meeting people that like to do the same things I do. My friends are either busy, boring or broke. They all have boyfriends, too, so I joined Events and Adventures. It's been good and it's nice to socialize. I was curious how my first event was gonna go. It was a new member meeting. We had a whole event and it was very nice. This was pre-pandemic. We did it at a brewery and we played some games so that we could all get acquainted with each other.

My sister introduced me to Events and Adventures. I just got recently single, and she decided to let me know about them, so I signed up. We were supposed to do archery, and it didn't work out. So, I think we ended up doing a kickball. It was an okay day. It wasn't bad. Then, I did a few events after that, but that was about it. I wanted to get in touch with somebody from there. I'm not doing too good with them. I signed up for a few events, and then I canceled them due to work-related issues, and I have not been refunded. So, that hasn't been a good experience. It was a total of 200 or more dollars. I would tell people to not sign up for events until they know for sure. It hasn't been a unpleasant experience. It's just a little uncoordinated.

I wanted to socialize and make friends a lot so I joined Events and Adventures. I've gone to a few dinners and have gone apple-picking. I like most of the dinners. It's been good so far but I haven't seen the good events for the cost yet.

I travel a lot for work and I just wanted to meet people in my area. I've been to two kickballs, some house parties, wine tasting at a winery, beach events, volleyball, and Taco Tuesday a couple of times. The off-calendar events are the best in my opinion. I really like the house parties that people throw, like it's unofficial. They’re fun because they're organic. People bring their own liquor and stuff. We just show up with the time. It's just that there's drama sometimes and gossip stuff. We have our group of people who have a tendency to talk and say things and I don't like being part of that. But aside from that, everyone's cool. I'm looking at it from a long-term perspective because I'm not sure when I'm going back traveling for work again. I’ve been making friends so far though.

I'm new to the area and looking to make friendships outside of work. I've been able to attend one Zoom event and two in-person events. Everyone's very outgoing, happy to share, and talk and build friendships. I was immediately added to a WhatsApp group and it seems very inclusive, not cliquey at all. The current events coordinator, Kaley, is super enthusiastic and creative and I can tell she wants it to be a success. It's like she's made for this job. The local E and A really has an advantage.

My sister heard Events and Adventures on the radio and she mentioned it to me. I called them and I ended up finding them. The quality of events was good. It was just that when I did the virtual dating, I felt like they should call it something else because I ended up having conversations and being paired up with another girl. I have no intention of dating girls. That was the only awkward thing that was weird. Then I have to pay for some of the events that are local, and I pay for my membership. I don't think I should be paying for the events that I'm going to. I’m trying to go to the ones that are free but there's a lot of them that aren't that may seem fun. It's like I'm paying double so I don't know. Other than that, everything's fine. Everybody seemed nice in the two events that I went to, one was to go walking in a park. I have recommended Events and Adventures to people but I tell them that sometimes, they have to pay for the events.

There were things that I saw in the ad that I probably wouldn't do by myself, and JustFab is doing it. I did a lot of digital events in the beginning ‘cause of COVID. I've done a couple of Taco Tuesdays which is my favorite and I like the escape room. The most recent I attended was the Halloween party. I had an email that said it was gonna cost $29, but when I signed up, I was charged 45. Then I thought there were gonna be gifts and prizes. Events and Adventures listed certain gifts and prizes for the costume awards and only medals were given out and it didn't take away from the party.

With Events and Adventures, I like the idea of being able to meet singles, wanted to be active, had different types of events to do, and places to visit here in South Florida. In the beginning, I was always apprehensive and I didn't know what I was encountering. I was basically walking into an unknown situation. But everybody's more or less in the same mentality. It was really easy to click with people 'cause everybody was very open and welcoming.

I was nervous prior to arriving at my first event. I'm a very socially awkward person, so going into social settings was kinda weird for me. After I arrived, I didn't feel nervous but I felt like the group of people who were attending these events just weren't my type of friend group. I kinda felt singled out a little bit. I did a meet and greet at a bar, I did a trivia night, I did a canoeing, kayaking, night thing, and I also did a virtual trivia night. The trivia night in person was a little bit more fun, just because there were other people outside of who we were as a group. It wasn't like a birthday party setup. I understand what its purpose is, and I liked it. I think it's a good program. I just didn't like the actual people in my area. I thought that if it was in a different area or different circumstance, I would have enjoyed it more.

I was a little bit anxious to see what my first event was. I did a glow-in-the-dark kayak and one of the happy hours at a vegan restaurant. They were both pretty fun. The happy hour ended up being a roomful of 10 women, so it was pretty hilarious.

The events are all scheduled in, so you don’t have to do any research and don't worry about a thing. They tell you literally to be there at a place and time, and you show up and you have friends there. So it's kinda cool. I was intrigued before going to my first event. I wanted to see what it was really like and it was fun. My favorite event is the night kayaking. It was like glow kayaking in the night. It was super cool. We just had a Halloween bash and that was kinda awesome.

I joined Events and Adventures because my husband passed away in March. We were together for 22 years. So it's been hard for me to meet and talk to people. I didn't do so well with the online thing so I decided to give Events and Adventures a shot. I signed up in August or September, and I started out pretty slow. In September, I went to two events in the whole month. Then I started trying to do at least once a week in October. But last week, I went to two events. Tuesday of last week was my birthday. We had the Bingo Night thing and a couple girls ran out and got me a Dairy Queen birthday cake as a surprise. So it was sweet and it made me feel welcome. I've met some nice people and wouldn't have otherwise. Before, I was scared to go and sign up, but now I’m turning more excited about signing up.

I only went to beach volleyball twice and it was cool. Kaylee was the area organizer and she runs a couple of the events. She's cool. She's a great leader.

The first event that I attended at Events and Adventures was a Mexican bingo. It was pretty cool. They had margaritas and steak. It was great at first, but it just seems stale now. Our manager always asks for feedback on Facebook asking, "Can we do this? What do you wanna see the next month?" Everybody has great suggestions, but it's always the same stuff every single month. He never takes any of the suggestions.

I'm not a go-it-alone kind of person, so going to my first event was intimidating. It was a meetup at a coffee shop with a speakeasy in the back. It was fun. The second event that I went to was the axe-throwing. Then I did a volunteer event at Feed My Starving Children. I have made connections at the events but I haven't talked to anybody outside of the actual event that I've been to. I've brought a person with me every time I've gone, like a buffer. But it's been an interesting and eye-opening experience. It's been exciting.

I've enjoyed the events that I've been able to go through to thus far and I'm looking forward to more events coming up. The dolphins event is my favorite so far. Also, I did a volunteer event and I really enjoyed participating in that. And then they have some online events that were pretty cool.

I’ve never heard about Events and Adventures because I’m originally from Kansas City and when I saw it on a YouTube commercial, I was curious as to what it was. I did a little research and it sounded like a meet-up but a little bit more mature and exclusive. So, I signed up for the interview and liked what I heard within that hour and a half. It would fit my lifestyle a lot better than other avenues. I’ve been a member for about six weeks and I’ve gone to a couple of events. I wish that it could have been more but I was on military orders for a little while. The first one that I went to was at a bar/grill and I had a wonderful time. The second event was a haunted trail event and that was also fun. Earlier this week, I signed up to go to about four more events between now and the end of November. I'm looking forward to that.

I haven't had a great experience with Events and Adventures overall. I wouldn't do it again. It was a good idea in theory, but it didn't really pan out to what I was looking for. Some of it was related to Coronavirus, but some of it was because it just didn't connect with me. On the weekends when I was available, there just wasn't anything. I wasn't particularly interested in some of the topics that they put on for different things. I paid 2k out of pocket for the whole year and I went to two events. It was a total waste for me. For me, as a busy professional, this was not what I needed. I just don't have that time. Not that I'm not interested in meeting people, but some of their events were just too long.

My experience with Events and Adventures has been fairly good. I did the group bike ride. There were anxiety and nervousness about going to an event by yourself. But I felt more comfortable once I started talking to people. Everybody was really friendly. I signed up to do a hike this Saturday.

I had seen advertisements for Events and Adventures online and I had newly moved back to the area. I was interested in getting to know some people around and having some things to do. I was nervous when I went to my first event, being the new person and then, with COVID, I wasn’t really sure how everything would work out. But I was excited to try to meet people and everything that way.

I attended a couple of virtual events and one in person with Events and Adventures. My favorite so far has been archery. Events and Adventures is something good to try for a person that’s social and isn’t afraid of meeting new people.

I'm a little disappointed in their willingness to work with me on some payments. On a different note, I've been on two events. The first one was a meet and greet and bring your dogs. I have a puppy, so I went, took my dog with me and met and greeted. I felt fine. The other event I went to was an escape room thing.

I've had a good experience with Events and Adventures. I've gone to about 7 events and they were fine. One of them was the New Year's Eve party at a hotel where they had gambling and the New Year's countdown dance. Then I went to Lago Mar. That one was a lot of fun. It was a group of 8 or 10 of us and that one was really cool. I also to a new member icebreaker event which was cool too.

With Events and Adventures, you meet new people every day and they are fun. We always do something different that I haven't done before. I was very shy when I first started. Reed for the Houston area reached out to me and told me he saw me signed up but I hadn’t come into the event. I said I was kinda little shy. He said to go into the ice break which is for all new members. I went there and he made me feel welcome. My little shyness went away because of the way he did it. After I first arrived, I felt more relaxed and more calm. He makes sure to introduce me and everybody starts talking to me. I feel more comfortable so I start talking to them too. I've made some couple of new friends. We exchanged numbers and we keep in touch with each other.

I was a member back in 2014 and I decided to go back after taking a break for a couple years. I like that there's something available almost every day of the month. But recently, and I know because of the pandemic, it makes it hard, it seems like the events have been the same every month so there's really no variety. I wish that would change. One of the events that I'm looking forward to that's coming up is a private booze cruise at one of the cisterns here in Houston.

I wanted having groups of people to do things with. I signed up with Events and Adventures and they make you feel comfortable once you get there. I've been to probably six events, restaurants mostly, and I liked the camping one. However, it's hard right now because with COVID, the events are so small. It's really not their fault but it is disappointing.

A friend of a friend was telling me one of my stylist’s clients had joined E and A. She was saying how much fun she was having. My stylist kept telling me I should join and this year, I finally decided to give it a try. I like the fact that everything is planned and you just pick and choose what events you wanna attend. I like more of the outdoors events like hiking. That's the biggest thing for me. In my first event, it was like a welcome meeting thing. I'm typically a quiet reserved person and I was thinking what have I gotten myself into. But it was good and we had bowling after. All the events I've been to so far, the members are nice and open. The host definitely makes you feel welcome and part of the group. It's been a really good experience.

I went on a little weekend trip with Events and Adventures and that was fun. We had a good time. I've been to probably at least a dozen events and I do like the weekend camping trips that they do. I’ve been on two or three of those. Dallas and Houston normally do it together. I'm from the Houston location but I've noticed the Dallas people are friendlier here than the Houston people. Dallas will hang out and we talk, and everybody's friendly. But Houston is more like clique and I'm not that cliquey person so I won't do it. Right now, I've put my account on hold. I've already paid for a year but I don't have any plans on renewing at this point.

I joined Events and Adventures because the activities seemed fun. You can put yourself out there and meet people. I've done online staff but I haven’t officially been to an event as yet. There was one last week but I went there too late. It was a brew company where they manufactured beer. I went there and there was nothing going on. Unfortunately, I work a lot so I only have Wednesdays and Thursdays to do stuff. I don't always get what I wanna do. I would recommend something like this to anyone but if you don't have the time to do so far and with COVID, it's gonna take that experience away. I haven't had the experience that I was looking forward to not because of the club but because of COVID and the fact that I work so much. But overall, it's a good thing.

I liked the type of activities that Events and Adventures has so I signed up. However, my first event was really bad because nobody else showed up. It was a minigolf thing and it was just the host and myself. Knowing how many people are gonna show up could be managed. I live kind of far away from Houston. For me to drive almost one hour getting there and there was no one there was like "Ugh." After that one, I tried another one. It was very discouraging. I realized that people were a lot older than me so I thought it's not gonna work out.

I was looking to meet new people, have stuff to do, and get out of the house. I signed up with Events and Adventures and the first event that I attended was shotgun shooting. That was a lot of fun. I've done several other things and though I haven't made any real close friends, I've met some people.

I've been to probably a dozen or so events. We go eat some food and ride bikes. I liked that. However, Events and Adventures sucks. It's a waste of money. It's all stuck up city girls and old ladies. I've made new friends but they're waiting for Prince Charming.

I'm enjoying Events and Adventures a ton. I've had them since around 2010 and this is my third time coming back and just loving it. I enjoy meeting people. I've done campouts, whitewater rafting, and a whole bunch of fun stuff. The events have been really good. I did an eight-year hiatus because I actually met a lady through them, but sadly enough, it just didn't really work out between us. So, I decided to come back and have some more fun. They make fun entertainment. I brought a friend from Astoria, Oregon to the events and he did putt-putt golf, and he had a blast.

I'm new to the Dallas area so I don't have a lot of friends here. I have historically used Facebook events, but you never know what you're really getting into. I was looking for events in my area and an ad for Events and Adventures kept popping up. I thought there was something to it so that was when I looked it up. It seemed like something that I would try out. I like being social and I wanted something that I could be social in. I like going to functions and it was right up my alley.

I did a horror movie virtual event and it went well. I'm not gonna complain. It just wasn't my thing but everybody was nice and it was good.

Events and Adventures does a good job. I went rollerskating, a couple of dinner events, a game night, and paintball or airsoft and met a bunch of acquaintances. I've gotten along with everyone that I've met up with. I'm a driving instructor, so I meet new people every week and I don't get nervous when it comes to meeting groups of people. I haven't been in the club that long and have never hung out with anyone outside of an event. My biggest problem is my personal time and nothing was their events. They got a wide variety of things to do every day, but I just don't have much free time.

I'm extremely new to San Francisco and it's COVID. I don't know anybody here. I was googling meetups and I figured Events and Adventures might be the best bet. When I was looking it up online, I saw all the cool things that were going on and even international trips. That's what caught my interest. The first experience I did was the Dolores Park Cards Against Humanity. It was the host and six of us. Everyone kinda came in a little bit later. The host told me that usually people show up a little bit later when there are free events like that. From that experience, I got to meet the people that were there. They all seemed nice. You could tell that some of them have social cue problems in a way but a lot of them were very open.

I've done around four events since I've started with Events and Adventures. I've done the camping and the virtual blind date. It's a good experience.

While there are many events to choose from, many of the same events are held on the same day of the week. For those that can’t make those days/evenings on a regular basis it would have been nice for the events to rotate to different days to allow the opportunity for others to join in at another time. Was great to have virtual options during the quarantine, but not enough offered. And at a time when many are still cautious about venturing out into a physical group the virtual options went away.

Events and Adventures is a great club to be involved in when you're going through a transition and even later. It's a great program. I've met a lot of friends so that worked out really good. That's really what I'm looking for right now. I've been to plays, get-togethers at restaurants and clubs or bars, dancing, comedy clubs, and volleyball. Volleyball is probably one of my favorites. I've done it several times this month. Then tomorrow night, there's like a haunted house get-together. Also, I did a sailing trip last weekend. That was really neat. I got on a sailboat and that was nice. I haven't done any of the camping trips yet, but I'm thinking about maybe doing one of those next time. They fill up pretty fast so if you don't get it right away, you end up losing a spot or not being able to get in.

I had just gone out of a relationship and I didn't want to “online date”. Events and Adventures sounded interesting. And I like to do a lot of outdoor activities and meet people in groups versus one-on-one. I participated in a few things for a couple of months because, unfortunately, I had a family emergency with my mom. I didn't utilize it as much as I was wanting. But with what I experienced, I liked how low key it was. I met some really nice female friends at it, too. We did a corn maze and that was probably my favorite just because I like to do outdoor stuff like that. Then once we went to COVID, we did online games and there were yoga sessions in the middle of the day.

I interviewed with Emily out of Chicago. During our 90-minute interview, I wasn't really convinced but I started seeing all the trips which I'm always interested in. Normally, when I do trips, I go by myself. I was kinda intrigued with Events and Adventures so I decided to sign up. I didn't show up to my first event till two to three weeks later. I was nervous going to my first event but after that, it's been a blessing. I go to two, three events a week but I try to keep it at two minimum.

I was interested in Events and Adventures mostly for meeting new people. We've been stuck at home for some time and I'm living in Dallas now and new to the area. There didn't seem any other way to meet new people. My first event was ax throwing and I was excited to try out the new activity. I was kind of nervous to see who would be there but it was good. After I was there for a while, I definitely felt more comfortable. I've gone to four events and I like the horse riding one. I've made two good friends. They are now in my contacts lists and Facebook friends who I chat with regularly.

Events and Adventures was an opportunity to get out of the house and it's a good program. My first event was very interesting. I went to a dancing thing. It was like two separate things and there was a bunch of stuff that we kinda did that night. Also, it was a bunch of practicing terminology I'm not quite familiar with. I had fun at most of the events I've attended. I'm still feeling the whole system up. Then, COVID restricts everything. But I hope that things start getting a little bit better.

I’m brand new to Houston and I don’t know anybody. I gave Events and Adventures a shot and I’ve been in a bunch of all small events - they do volleyball weekly, some dinners, hikes, walking, bike rides. I like to do anything active. It's been good. But I would like them to listen to the feedback of the members. We had a situation last month where they had us play volleyball in a place where none of us like. Everyone emailed but they said they were keeping it there. They changed it, but after a month of arguing with us about it. Also, when you suspend your account, you can't sign up for anything. Then you ask them to unsuspend your account and no one responds. Now, everything is filling up for October and I'm not gonna get to do anything in October because they blocked my access.

I have known about Events and Adventures for a really long time when I moved to Chicago. My first event was fun. It was really good. I've been to five events and the glass etching is my favorite. I also did a game night and another meetup thing that went really well. There are varied opportunities. Good karma.

My favorite event so far has been the Who’s Who. There were some technical difficulties, but I know the person who did it is gonna redo it. So I signed up for that. It's gonna be called virtual speed date now. I liked that it was kinda different than the other events I attended because I could get to know people a little bit more. So there was a little bit more time to get to know people versus if it was a Musical Bingo. There's a little bit of time to talk in the beginning, but then it kinda goes into the event immediately. I also really liked the cooking class. Maggie did one for Thai food. So that was my first time cooking. It was really exciting to do something different and go out and buy the ingredients. I have a lot of food allergies so I had to adjust things. But it was still fun.

I had signed up with Events and Adventures and was going on a group kind of boat. It was fun. Since signing up, I've been to about 10 events. I went through the Labor Day thing. That was pretty fun. But the WhirlyBall was extremely fun. That was my favorite. We went to a WhirlyBall place. We all kind of talked a little bit about what the calendar was like for September. There was a big turnout. We took like really short turns of WhirlyBall. Two teams would assemble, and we kind of swapped out and played every other game. We played quite a number of games, which was a surprise. It was nice. They were short games, but we got to do it very frequently. Then afterwards, people were open to go do something after. I didn't go, but it was nice that I could have gone if I wanted to.

Events and Adventures is working out good. It's just that I wasn't able to get on the cruise thing because I wasn't really familiar with Chicago. They had me go around three times from an entrance that was right there. Then when I got off, I was supposed to go to the left, and I went to the right. The rep kept texting me because she was trying to hold the boat. When I told her where I was at, she was telling me to come down and I said, "No. It's the other way." I missed it. So, that was like $90 gone. I wasn't really too happy about that.

I wanted to explore the world with a group of people. In my first event with Events and Adventures, I was kind of nervous. I went to one event in downtown Chicago and that was good. I’m looking forward to meeting more people but every other event seems to be either full or it's not in my timing.

Going in, it was a little more expensive than I thought it would be. But some things are more important than money like having a decent social life. And friends were starting to be a little flaky and they just didn't wanna do the same things I wanna do. I didn't want to sit at home watching Netflix all day. I didn't want an internet date, not particularly anyway. i just wanted to do other things, more active things generally, and Events and Adventures allowed me to do that. However, they should advertise some more places that attract younger people.

I found about Events and Adventures from another member. I was at a restaurant and she came in to meet some of the people that are part of Events and Adventures. I thought I had joined before but I guess I didn't. So, I joined the next day. I called and talked to the guy who was in California. I have only gone to one event. It's just a lot of times, it doesn't fit my schedule or it's clear across town, too far away. But when I went, I met people and had the dinner or the lunch but I've never talked to them again. Also, with the COVID and all that, it was awkward because we were at a restaurant and it was really hot. It's hot here in Texas. It's hot in Oklahoma.

I saw an Events and Adventures YouTube advertisement and I was recently divorced. I was like, “Might as well just go out.” When I first signed up, it was the middle of March, so COVID had not exactly hit yet, but I didn't do any of the virtual events. I didn’t participate in those but I’ve been to a couple events here and there and they were okay. I like being social, so I was okay with the first event. Events and Adventures could make it easier to access to view events via apps. Because sometimes I wanna get waitlisted and then they always say, “Just do it anyways.” I guess it's hard to plan how many people are gonna cancel. But I would like more transparency on where you are on the waitlist. And then, highlight the events that you actually signed up for on your personal calendar so you can just make a quick view on it. If you just want to get out, do random things, do it.

I wanted a chance to meet new people that weren't all together in bars. I went to the Keys for the snorkeling event. There were three of us that stayed overnight on our own and I had a blast. We went fishing in Fort Lauderdale. After that, we played on the beach. Fun! We stopped somewhere, grabbed some food, and that was it. Good times. I’m friends with a bunch of the people now. I speak to them all the time. However, everything is in Fort Lauderdale. If not Fort Lauderdale, it’s in Miami. There are very rarely things that happen in Palm Beach. I have suggested events over here in Palm Beach and Haley of Events and Adventures said she will look into it. She said, “Great ideas! I’ll look into it.” And that’s it. It falls and goes away. Also, I don't see the “discounts” anyhow that you get when you go to these events. I find discounts cheaper than through Events and Adventures. I find much bigger discounts. Other than that, things have been fine.

Events and Adventures had a lot of activities and things I wanted to do and try that I've never done on my own but I knew in a group setting I could. Even if I wasn't hooked up with somebody I could still go out, enjoy and participate. I've met a lot of very nice people and had great conversations. It's been fun to be with people, guys and gals both. The age group that I was expecting to hope to meet is not there though. But I'm still enjoying the events, getting out and doing things which is still one of my goals, so that works out well.

I was looking for social activities and stuff to do, and I found Events and Adventures online. The events were online and I felt comfortable. The people I’ve encountered were great as well as the podcast I’ve been listening to. My only concern for now is I don't go to activities. When I looked online, you have to pay for most of the activities that they have. Most of them are kind of expensive. So I would like it if they can think about more probably free activities. Even though we have to pay a fee but it can be not too much money. We have short hours, reduced hours and limited schedules. The main goal for me to join the group was to meet people and to have social activities but I don’t have that. I'm satisfied but I will appreciate if they take more face-to-face activities. We are still on quarantine but we know what to do.

I like it very much. The ratio to men to women on many of the events is not optimal. But I've made some friends and I intend to continue. I've done five events and one trip down to Key Largo. My favorite is the Chops and Hops, where we were throwing axes. Events and Adventures is having trouble keeping things on track due to COVID. They have genuinely tried to make it work but it's just a disaster right now. It's nothing that Events and Adventures could do anything about. But the effort is there to try and make it perfect. The guides, Kaylee, Romulus and Ed, were all wonderful.

Events and Adventures has been great. I heard about them from the radio and I got interested to join because of the outdoor activities that they offered. So far, the events that I attended were very high quality. I signed up in March, but the activities for March, April, and May were all virtual and I was not interested in that. So, I didn't do anything until June when they started the in-person stuff. I did the Grand Lake weekends and hiked a 14er. The cost is expensive but I made friends. Still, for me, it's about the outdoor activities, so I would like to see more of those.

I heard about Events and Adventures back in 2014 when I was living in Houston. That was when I was 19, so I couldn't join back then. I also started working out in the oil field, so I was blowing and going. I’m finally in a slower environment of work right now, so I had a lot of time on my hands. I wondered whether or not Events and Adventures was still a thing, looked it up and searched that they're all still there. I applied, and with the whole Covid stuff, I can understand they are trying. As a person who lives so far away, that's where it would stir whatever unhappiness I would have, which I don’t have any.

My mom knows somebody who had done Events and Adventures in the past. Since I needed something to do as well as a way to meet people, and a little guidance to do it, I decided to try it, too. It was something that I wasn’t really sure about, but then I interviewed and they were very nice. That kind of solidified it. So far, my experience with them has been great. I went to the icebreaker, which was a lot of fun, then I did the online book club, which I really enjoyed. They were very nice people and everybody that I've been around with had been very friendly.

I've been to five or six Events and Adventures activities so far and the people I've met were pretty friendly. The first one I went to was virtual, so it wasn't exciting, but it wasn't so bad.

My brother mentioned Events and Adventures to me and he said it would be fun to do. It sounded like a great time, which was why I signed up. The rep was very helpful. She made it seem a very fun thing to be a part of. It seemed like a good thing to join at first but the second I signed up, the Coronavirus thing started happening and since then, I haven't been going to any type of events. There's been a lack of adventures. But I would recommend it. They do a lot of fun things and I'm supposing it'll pick up again once the Coronavirus subsides. Things will be coming more into fruition.

I've been hearing their radio ad for quite a while and I finally decided to check it out. What made me sign up was that I work a lot and I was someone who was really social in a previous job before this that I have now. I had a lot of people that we go to have drinks after work with. Since I left that job, I still talk to those people but not as much as I used to. I figured Events and Adventures would be a good opportunity to meet other people in Denver. I've only done a couple things so I don't have a lot of experience with them, but I did a volleyball event last week. Everybody is keeping their distance and wearing masks and they're doing fine. It's volleyball. It's not like you're on top of each other. You don't have to have physical contact aside from the ball being touched around.

I found out about Events and Adventures through a friend and I was interested in their different activities. It’s a good opportunity to do activities that you wouldn't normally do or think about doing. My first event was a bowling thing. I also did activities like wakeboarding, trapeze, and ax throwing. I like the trapeze school. Through Events and Adventures, I'm trying to get to know people.

Events and Adventures is an amazing group where you get to go out and do different and fun events with other single people. I was interested in getting out there and meeting new people in person by doing events. I was excited during my very first event. I've attended two events so far. One was doing a bingo event and the other was playing volleyball.

Going to a singles club with Events and Adventures was a better way to put my self out there instead of trying to figure out if someone's single or not. So I went, had an appointment and then signed up that day on the spot. That was three weeks right before the whole quarantine started. I signed up for an 18-month plan. So I'm concerned that if I get into a relationship sometime in between, I still have to be paying for a club that I won't necessarily be attending because it's full of singles.

I'm in the north suburbs and when I find events with Events and Adventures that are close to me, they fill up really quickly and it's not good for people that have a toddler. I don't really wanna be traveling far and I really wanna go to something local. I understand that a lot of things are limited as far as capacity because of the restrictions with opening up. So if we have to downsize the participation in events, having more events in each area will l even that out a little bit. So far, I've only gone to online events. But I was disappointed with the love and blind event where they were only matching with people that were in Seattle. I attended twice and was disappointed both times.

I heard about Events and Adventures through a friend and I joined to go do something. But so far, I haven’t done anything with them. I probably made a mistake paying out the money for it but whatever the case is, I’m sure if we ever get to do something with them, it'll be fun. The one thing that I was gonna do was this fireworks thing. I live in Austin. It was in Dallas and the company that was doing the fireworks trip for everybody canceled the day of the trip, which ticked me off. I already went up to Dallas, took all the time out of my day and my weekend to do it. I called the day before and they said that everything's a go.

I wanted some new friends and meet new people. I thought Events and Adventures could be a good opportunity to meet someone new. I looked on the website and it sounded really good. I saw the activities and everything and I was very interested. I signed up. The events I've gone to were really good. They are always so nice to me and it has been a nice experience. But I signed up for a trip and I had a little problem because my doctor told me I couldn't go. I didn't know that I would need to pay for it if I cancel. I talked to the person in charge and we had a little hard time. But we did the necessary arrangements and we were happy at the end.

I signed up with Events and Adventures at the wrong time because of COVID. Trying to pick up a social life, meet new people and do different things at this time is hard to do with what's going on. The virtual meetings were okay. But it's hard trying to sign up and be in a social group to be around people, but then you still can't be around people. So far, the ones that I've met have been really fine. It was different, being some of them already knew each other. They were friendly and nice and we had conversations. But I'm in a house all the time.

I was just getting out of a breakup and I didn't have any healthy habits going out with somebody that I was living with. They were always trying to get drunk. So, I was trying to branch out and find other activities. I looked up Events and Adventures and kept hearing radio advertisements. Right before my first event, I was apprehensive but excited. I wasn't too excited about the initial group that I was going to or the event that I was going to though. It probably would have been a little more interesting if I hadn't had such a busy schedule and could've checked one of the other sporting events but the one I've gone to was a bar meetup. But all in all, it was a positive experience.

I had a good time at my first event at Events and Adventures. It's something to do. I'm a very social person, so when I don't have anything else to do, I'll sign up for an event. They had virtual speed dating or happy hours, but I didn't attend any of those. I just told them to put my account on freeze for two months. Then in June, I signed up for a few events that ended up getting canceled because we weren't able to have them. So, June was a wash in terms of paying my membership but really not being able to do anything. But I've already been to two events in July and I have another one tomorrow. I went to a pick-up volleyball game, like in a park, and I went to a gun range.

I started with Events and Adventures during COVID so my first event was virtual. Then I did one event in person on the 4th of July. It was supposed to be the boat and the fireworks, but they canceled the fireworks so I just went with the boat ride with drinks. Afterward, it seemed like it was overpriced. One of the reasons I did it was I figured going through Events and Adventures, the events and stuff would be discounted or cheaper, but it felt like I could have gotten the same thing on Groupon for half the price. Events and Adventures charged $70 and I gotta pay for drinks and there was no food. So I was running to get a hotdog before we left. The boat we went with was not considerate of the group. So next time, Events and Adventures should book with somebody else that was more appreciative of bringing the number of people they had.

I've gone to two events from Events and Adventures and have made new friends. I felt happy going to my first event and it was good. My favorite one was kickball. It was in person which was good. It's hard to find in-person events right now. The virtual events were just not really for me.

After the interview, it's nice to know that there are adults that are in good mental health and are financially stable. I signed up back in late February so I was able to do about six events before COVID started. It was enjoyable enough and it was a comedy club. I've made a few friends, but because I only went to six events, it's not like I've had a chance to get to know folks that well. But when I go to events and I see them, we chit-chat and hang out together.

I only did virtual events and everyone on Events and Adventures did a good job. It was as fun and engaging as virtual could be. I've done a lot of virtual communication for work and it takes a lot more energy. I did notice that I was so sad when they were over, not even like, "I had a good time." It was like the gap that's left when your computer shuts off is pretty low. It's a different experience. It's kind of awful. Whatever games they had going or trivia, I had a hard time even answering their question because I feel like they just interact in response to others. Events and Adventures did the best they could with what they had. The people that were on it really spoke highly of the program.

They took the money but I didn't have time and I didn't do anything. I'm dissatisfied.

I haven't had a chance to use Events and Adventures very much because of the COVID pandemic. I'm sleeping indoors and not really going to the events. But most of the stuff is virtual anyway. I've not been able to take full advantage of everything, but I do like everything that's been offered. I am going to use it when things get better. I've been to the introductory event and then to cowboy dancing. It was a lot of fun. I totally enjoyed it. Events and Adventures is a good forum for people to come together as a group and meet each other. It's nice to be in a group, so you're not alone. You make friends and you meet other people. It's a safe group since everybody gets a background check. It's a really nice forum.

I went to one event and then COVID hit and I froze my account. The first event I went to was a St. Patrick's Day party over at one of the other member's houses and it was a lot of fun. We did some drinking and hanging out, talking. I got two different people's numbers, but I never followed up with them because of where they live. One of them lived down in Grand Prairie and the other one lived in Dallas, so it's not the easiest to be able to meet up. I'm looking forward to all this shutdown/COVID ** going away so we can get back to doing what we were doing. I was planning on going to the Greece trip but it all kinda got screwed up.

The concept of a club with a fair number of members that just wanna get out and be social with each other sounds great for me. I joined Events and Adventures in the middle of the quarantine and they had just switched to doing all events online. I did a few of those and I thought they were fun. One of them was like a murder mystery. Then one time, we played Cards Against Humanity. And then I went to a dating event, but it wasn't speed 'cause they ended up putting us with one person for 20 minutes and then I ended up getting the same person again for the next 20 minutes which I thought was a little bit of a mistake there. Now that they're in-person events, I keep meaning to go online and sign up for something and I just haven't been. It's just kinda gotten so busy with life.

The people from Events and Adventures were super nice. I've done an in-person event and a few of the virtual ones. On my first event, I was a little calm but I didn't really kind of know where exactly where to meet. But I found out about the Facebook page that they had told me about stuff and that it was posted there. So I have since joined the Minneapolis Facebook page where a lot of those updates are made. I've met some people and we get along. Out of the group, half of us was our first time meeting. Also, I've only been to one event so we haven't really exchanged phone numbers or do anything outside of the group yet. I personally enjoy the virtual event. I don't live in the metro area directly during the week so the virtual events are more accessible for me to attend. Then on Friday through Sunday, the in-person events are more feasible because of my location.

I originally joined Events and Adventures several years ago and then I rejoined this last January when the other partner came into the area. It interests me because I work all the time. I have two older children that are hopefully going to medical school soon and getting out of my house. So I just like to get out and do things. I'm not always able to hook up with my friends so it's nice to be able to pick and choose what I wanna do during the months and get out and do fun things, like physical things and not just dinner.

The people who work for Events and Adventures were approachable and you could ask them anything. There was nothing uncomfortable. I was a little bit dragging my feet on signing up for an event was that I travel so much. So, I'm not in and around a lot of big cities where Events and Adventures are. I went to one event in Chicago. It was well-run and everybody there was friendly and open to conversation.

I signed up with Events and Adventures right before COVID and it was a bit unprofessional when I went into the Chicago office to sign up. The woman who kind of sold me on my service left the room and she came back and was a little teary-eyed. I asked if she was okay and she said she drank a little bit too much the night before and she just threw up. Also, they told me when I signed up that there would be a window of opportunity for me to evaluate the service and get my money back if I wasn't happy. But I really didn't have that opportunity because COVID hit.

I was looking at groups to join and I just circled back around to Events and Adventures. I joined January of this year and I was able to attend some January and February before COVID hit. I was really enjoying it and had a good time before that. I just haven't been able to do anything since then. I know they switched to virtual, but I took a couple of months off because I figured I wanted to wait and try to do some stuff in person later on. I had a six-month contract. Mine is up in August so I'll have like October and September. Hopefully, things can level out a little bit. I'm not entirely sure if I'll renew for the next year with everything going on. But if I'm able to, I would like it. It's just things are a little crazy right now.

I heard about Events and Adventures from a co-worker. I was feeling excited before my first event. I appreciate being able to sign in at home and do things as well. It's nice to have that option. They have trivia nights online. I like those. They also did an open mic night, a murder mystery, and a cooking class online. They open the events to all their numbers and I haven't seen a lot of Chicago people yet because I've only done online. I have my first in-person event that I signed up for this weekend. There was a post going around that he made racist comments on social media and people keep posting on the Facebook site. But I looked it up and there were no news articles out. It concerns me if it's true.

I saw Events and Adventures on Facebook. I got curious and I checked it out. I went and talked to Jennifer, the manager, and I said I was gonna think about it and then I joined. I was both nervous and excited going to my first event because I'm older and I don't do much of this kind of thing. I was concerned also. The age ratio that they have was kind of too young for me and different.

I was nervous but excited for my first event with Events and Adventures. I've attended about five events and my favorite thing has been meeting new people, which was why I joined. I'm new to the area and I don’t know a lot of people here. With Events and Adventures, I've met a lot of fun and friendly people. I did a movie thing and I went to a game night. I also went to a comedy show and dance lessons. The Events and Adventures people are all very friendly. They put a lot of effort to make you feel comfortable, introduce you to people, and make you feel welcomed. Overall, it has been a good experience.

I was new to the area and I wanted to do stuff, discover the area and meet people. A friend who heard the ad on the radio told me about Events and Adventures. My first event was on July 4th. It was on the boat and it was fun. I was not really nervous when I went to it, but it was a new experience. You have to just be open to a new experience and meeting people.

I paid in full upfront and I was excited as well as a little nervous and a little anxious to meet some people. I attended two events and I felt it was very easy to connect with people. Everybody was super friendly and open. It was welcoming, but then I suspended things until we can get back more face to face.

I found this company on Facebook. But, because of the pandemic, I have not gone to one in person yet. Nevertheless, the virtual events I’ve attended seemed fun. The people who work for Events and Adventures are super nice and helpful.

I heard about Events and Adventures on 103.1 FM, a radio station for comedy. I joined and Jocelyn and Emily are both great. They're awesome, especially Jocelyn. I love her to death. My first event was virtual and I had already been to a few. The first event I went to in person, I felt fine and there were different people as well.

I’m tired of being alone, so I looked up Events and Adventures. My first event was a virtual event which wasn’t what I expected. It was fun, but there were some issues. For some reason, when I signed up for it, I did not get emails back from people with the Zoom link. About 60% of the time, I had to call the event coordinator to have them send me a link.

Right now, it’s pretty much only virtual events with Events and Adventures, but I’d like it to be more in person and also have more stuff during the week. I’m a bartender and it’s hard for me to meet people because my hours are at night, over the weekends, which was the reason I signed up for everything. When I went to the walk in the park, there wasn’t a whole lot of people there, but it was a lot of fun. Everybody was really friendly and we got to know each other a little bit.

Trying to meet somebody and getting out and doing stuff interested me about Events and Adventures. I didn't know what to expect before arriving at my first event and I was a little nervous. I just went to go and it was only so-so. It was something that I wouldn’t do normally. But I had a lot more fun at my second event since it was a physical activity and there were more people that I connected with. I’ve been a member since February and I've gone to a total of 10 events. I usually do and play a lot of volleyball. Then the whole COVID stuff and I really didn’t do any of the online ones. But the last month, we’re doing things back up and we’re going back again.

I like Events and Adventures' activities. There are different activities that you can choose, but there are some dining experiences that I'd like nicer restaurants. I like that part because even though it's a little more expensive than the others, it's very nice. I like those kinds of restaurants or activities. Sometimes, for events that are on Wednesday or Tuesday, it's difficult to go because I don't live in the city. I live in the North Shore and it's too long to go. The traffic is two hours when we have normal activities. Recently, when the COVID started, I put the membership on pause. I haven't returned yet because I am still cautious, but it's very nice that they have virtual things to do. I didn't join the virtual activities because, in my work, I have to do all day virtual meetings. To add more was not good for me.

I joined Events and Adventures because I couldn't keep doing the same thing expecting different results. It was a huge financial commitment because I was unemployed at the time. My first event was a game night in Denver. The people were really welcoming. I'm a pretty outgoing person, which is the difference with most of the people that are in this group. They're not very outgoing and very shy and I'm not. That helped the scenario quite a bit. It was a good time. I was sold on the idea that the men were a different caliber and I wasn't finding that to be the case. I was so irritated and but I went to the event the next day and I met my boyfriend. We've been together for three months now. My account's been frozen since April because I found a boyfriend. Also, I do enough with work virtually that with the idea of getting on a Zoom call, I'd rather chew my eyes out. I don't have complaints about it, it's just not a thing for me.

I felt a little bit nervous during the first event I attended with E&A, but the person that I interviewed with was very nice and reassuring that it's a pretty nice group of people. So far, I've only just done online stuff because of the lockdown with the Coronavirus. But I've done quite a few virtual activities. I really enjoy the more casual things. Like they had a night where we just ordered pizza from our favorite pizza place and then we got to go into breakout rooms and chat with people. I really enjoyed the music trivia that they do. We also did a paint night one night online, and that was fun. That kinda got me started on a paint-by-numbers project that took me a long time to finish, but it did get me started on something and gave me something to do while everything is still the way that it is as far as the pandemic is concerned.

I was in the military and I was constantly moving everywhere and I never settled down in one place. I don't have a strong base for friends and so, I decided to join Events and Adventures and start hanging out with people. In my first event, it felt interesting. I walked in there, immediately, a few people said, "Hello." However, it's attracting people who haven't figured out that they're the problem as an individual. I've had some interesting interactions with the members. That's the only negative side that I have. There are a lot of people there that are extremely rude. They see it as a hookup group.

It took me a minute to fully relax on my first event with Events and Adventures but everyone was very nice and easy to talk to. They were extremely welcoming. I've been to only two events so far due to Covid. Everything else was kinda canceled on me and I'm an emergency services responder, so I haven't been able to do all the online events that they were having. But I've met quite a few people at both of the events that I went to and got to do some things that I normally wouldn't do on my days off by myself, so that was nice. But with everything that's happening with COVID, I was kinda disappointed that they kept charging me and just had online events that I wasn't interested at all.

The prospect of dating interested me about Events and Adventures. I was kinda anxious before my first event but it changed a little when I arrived. I've been to about 13 events by now. I've done the game night and a few of the hikes and my favorite is the Castles ‘N Coasters. So far, it's been an interesting time, concerning COVID. But I don't blame Events. It’s just one of those times.

I wanted to meet new friends, new people and hopefully eventually find a relationship. So I joined Events & Adventures. It took a few events to feel more comfortable. A lot of events I attended have been virtual events because I joined in February. So I haven't had a lot of time without COVID stuff. That really changes the game. I was only able to attend three in-person events. But I really liked the kayaking. And online, I really liked the baking. I'm doing one event tonight virtually. It's cross stitching because it's an Arts and Crafts Night. I have a good time meeting new people and trying new things. I would never have gone kayaking if it wasn't for them.

Events and Adventures was advertising highly on the radio stations that I was listening to and that was when I learned of them. I looked up a few things online that were available and was interested in talking with someone. When I went out, I knew that I was going to be signing up for it by then.Before going to my first event, I was cautiously excited, but, by the time I left the event, I felt like it was a very good opportunity to meet a very diverse group of people. I have been in for two years and I have been to some events that are a little bit bigger, like camping for the weekend. I have also tried to do that every year. I tried to go to at least four a month and did karaoke some of the times. There are lots of different things. I enjoyed Memorial Day weekend where two of our cities would get together and do a camping event. But this last Memorial Day weekend was canceled because of COVID. In total, I have been to at least 25 events.

I love Events and Adventures. I have only gone to three events because Coronavirus started as soon as I signed up. It is, nevertheless, starting to open back up, which is good. I want to go to way more events because I love the ones I went to. The ones that I have gone to have been all hiking and then a couple of the virtual events. One of them was a trivia one. I like the hiking because I already like hiking and going to new places. It is nice to not have to corral people and organize it all and work with everyone's schedule. There are way more things I want to go to, but some of them cost money, so that was why I had been doing the hiking. I need a little bit more of a budget right now.

I enjoyed Events and Adventures for the most part. The Chicago group was more about friendships than really finding someone to date and it was the same people all the time. There were new introductions but I didn't see a lot of connections. I enjoyed going out and meeting new people but across the board, I didn't see a lot of numbers being exchanged and people dating other people. It was more of a hangout.

I joined Events and Adventures maybe 12 years back, before I knew that there are better ways to meet people, like Meetup. I think I paid a lifetime membership with Events and Adventures but I haven’t attended an event in years. Most of the events I did go to were very random and I think most of the people didn't show up. There are much more organized ways to do it. Most of the events are free and then some of them are paid. But It's hard to know who is coming. That needs to improve. They don’t have a way to communicate between members. They don’t have a chatroom within the system. They ask you to go to this third-party application and then create a group on that. Every time you sign up for an event, it's a separate group. So it gets complicated. It's not properly integrated with the current user systems.

Events and Adventures was something for me to get out and meet new people. For my first event, I was pretty nervous the whole night. But I had fun and there were people that I kinda got to know. It was the more I went that I really became less nervous. There are a lot of variables in the events that you don’t know. It got to the point where I would tell somebody I wanted go to this event and somebody would ask who was gonna be there. I was like, “I don’t know. I’m just going.” Some events were fun in general but a lot of times what made something, like something as simple as the volleyball, really fun would not solely depend upon playing volleyball. It would just depend upon who is there hanging out with you. I made some friends so we would try and go to the same event and then it would just be fun doing those events with them.

I joined Events and Adventures so I can go out and have a good time and not be on a date. Dating sucks and this allows me to go do something. I found a few people who kind of understand where I'm coming from and we've been hanging out. But there's a lot of high school stuff going on. It's a lot of dating, a lot of cross-dating, people dated other people. And most of us don't really fit in in society and now, we have a group of us are all together. It doesn't make things any better, it's just when we show up to a function, we all know each other. Also, the cost is outrageous for what we paid to get into the group and then what we have to continue to pay. But I'm also very old. I'm one of the oldest people in the group and a lot of the kids are in their late 20s or 30s. They're used to everything being expensive.

I wanted to travel with the club, but things have happened and that is not an option at this point. But, I had a couple of in-town activities before everything happened, so it was nice. The last one I went to is a bingo night at a bar. It was quickie, but it was cool. They needed more diversity, but, other than that, Events and Adventures is fine.

Events and Adventures has been very good. I have been able to go to one or two events, and I have done a lot of the virtual ones. I'm a single mom, and thankfully, the father of my kids is very involved with them. So, I have a network of other single mom friends, but most of them could never usually go out to do anything. So then, I have a couple of single friends who I would go out and hang out with and have dinner and meet at a bar. But with this whole COVID thing, I was like, "Okay, well, I cannot go meet the single friends, I cannot have anybody over." Then I sat home with my kids and I was like bored to tears.

I enjoy the virtual events with Events & Adventures. I’m a little bit partial to them because I like the gaming and stuff that we are able to do remotely. You can get very creative. It was also really good to get together on the members’ meeting and kind of like low-key be able to meet everybody in the South Florida area. It was a good number of 20 people that showed up and it was really a chill atmosphere. We rented a brewery type place and we had our own private room. So, it was really nice, really safe and I really enjoyed it.

I’m relatively new to Denver. I’ve been here about a year and a half and have some people that I spend time with, but I was looking to do more activities than these folks do. I was looking to join a group that I could do a variety of things like hike, raft and climb and all those kinda things. I joined Events & Adventures at the end of January so I only went to four events before COVID happened. And I’ve only been on three since things have started to open back up.

Everybody at my first Events and Adventures event made me feel very welcome. I felt comfortable there. Since then, I've been to 20 events and one of my favorites was the glass-blowing class. They have a great group at Events and Adventures and I enjoy the events. So far, I've made a couple of friends. I look forward to being able to do this again.

I wanted to make some new friends and I was nervous before arriving at my first event but it absolutely changed after I arrived. I joined about nine events. My favorite was the networking event that they had and the bingo was fun. My favorite events are any of the stuff that they have at bars where you’re just out talking to people. Once the world gets back to normal, I like to go to more events. I’ve signed up for the camping trip on Memorial Day weekend if that still happens. I haven't made any close friends but I haven't gone to enough events.

A friend saw the Events and Adventures ad and he thought that I would be a good person to join that because California was brand-new to me and I was looking for friends. I looked into it and I joined it. I was very excited in my first event because it was a brand-new experience and I hoped that I would meet a lot of new people. I like exploring different parts of the city, Bay Area in general, with the group. It's always better to go someplace with other people. If you have a group, you can just literally go and explore anything, and the experience is amazing.

I was looking for something to do and with Events and Adventures, I've been on one trip and a lot of events. I've participated in bubble soccer, hiking, biking, happy hours, and game nights. My favorite activities are the outdoor ones and I've made new friends.

A friend told me about Events & Adventures, and I was feeling fine and happy to go to a new event. I've gone to four or five events, and I enjoyed them. I met new friends, and I still keep in touch with some girls. It’s a good place to meet new friends and to do things that you usually do not think to do.

I work out of my house, I’m single, and my kids are grown. So, I spend a lot of time by myself and I wanted to get out there, socialize, and have an opportunity to do some things or go to some places that I might not have even known about. I wasn’t necessarily looking for dating, but if it happens, great. If it doesn’t, that’s okay too. I signed up with Events and Adventures on the Friday of Memorial weekend and the first event I attended was on the following Sunday. It was a brunch and they told me that lots of people were gone at the camping event that they did with Chicago, so I wouldn’t be seeing a lot of people there. But I felt good about it. It’s always a little weird to show up for things when you don’t know people, but the people that I met there were friendly.

I got interested in joining Events and Adventures because of the events and being able to get out and do something enjoyable. However, the events are all about the same. Nothing really special about any of them.

I heard about Events and Adventures over nine years ago on the radio, and I had recently become a widow. I had no friends in the city of Arizona, and so I joined them to make friends. I enjoyed doing the hiking, going on the hot air balloon, and doing weekends away in Sedona. There were so many things like horseback riding -- you name it. Events and Adventures was a lifesaver for me because I knew absolutely nobody in Arizona at the time this all happened. And if it wasn’t for them, I would, probably, have gone insane from being alone. One instance that always stuck in me was during my first year with them. I did the New Year’s Eve party and I knew nothing. Mark, the owner, got me out of my shell. I have made over 200 friends already. I would highly recommend Events and Adventures for somebody who does not know anybody in the state. They are my family in Arizona.

Everything’s been really good. I’ve got a two-year membership and I’m trying to poke in online every now and then when I can from my internet up here where I live. I’ve been to three events and none of the trips. My stuff was activated a month before all this COVID stuff hit. But the Man-Up game was a lot of fun. Every time you show up, everybody’s really cool and just chill and hanging out and having a good time. So I enjoy that.

A friend told me about Events & Adventures a long time ago. I've been in the club since ’09. I've got a lifetime membership and at the time I was sold that, I was not happy with the sale procedure because I know a lot of people paid a lot less than me. That’s water under the bridge. They have inconsistent pricing things. But I met a good variety of people. I've made some good friends there. They do have some fun events although sometimes it waxes and wanes about how good their events were. We had a great person named Austin for a while, who’s done a really good job of bringing up new events and new ideas, but he did not stay. My understanding is he wanted to stay but it just didn’t work out. That is on the management side. They lost a good person.

I wanted to try out Events and Adventures because of the meeting people thing. I have enjoyed it very much so far. The cost is high, but the quality you get out of it is pretty good. However, their website could be designed better. If I have to do it on my phone to find stuff, it doesn’t really work that well.

One of my friends told me about Events and Adventures so it was on word-of-mouth. Not that that person was involved in the group, but it’s the one that I had heard of so I chose it. And it advertised itself as being more of finding things to do with other people who are like-minded, rather than a dating site. It’s exactly that. I love it. My schedule is weird. I work when everybody else is not working so it’s a little difficult. But anything artistic, going to the theater or museums, and then all of the dancing stuff, that’s my cup of tea. I love those.

During my first event I was a little nervous but still excited about it. Once we started I felt better about it. I like kayaking and hikes. I'm planning on doing other events to see what all goes on. I enjoyed them and I've made new friends from the group.

I had so much fun with Events and Adventures. I moved to Texas almost two years ago, and as a grown up, it was hard to meet people to go hang out with. And so, when I found out about them, the activities that they offer have been so much fun and I have met some great girlfriends. Every Wednesday you show up and you can either hangout and chat with everybody or go play volleyball. I have also taken up fencing class, we have gone camping and tubing down one of the rivers, horseback riding, different dance lessons, dinners out and lunches. I have been having a blast.

I've been a part of Events and Adventures for about 10 years. I'm an introvert. I'm a little bit nervous going to an event. Over the years, I get to know people. And so typically, the same type events that I go to are people I've made friends with, so it's not as nervous as it used to be. I went to Egypt last year, I went to England the year before, and I've done Hawaii, Cabo and BC. I've done several of the travel events.

I was single and interested in meeting other people and doing fun and exciting things. I was a little intimidated during the first event because you don’t know if people are gonna take you or if they’re going to be quirky and ignore you. I was anxious the whole time. But everyone was really friendly and bubbly. I attend two events per month now. All the events were fun, but the iHeart90s Dance at the Holiday Bazaar was a lot of fun. I like that it’s a bunch of people getting together having fun. Not you’re feeling like, “Oh, I have to go.” My friend calls it a dating club and I have to keep correcting him because I found it’s not a dating club. It’s a singles club. It’s a bunch of people getting together having fun that are single.

I wanted the opportunity to get out and do things here in Denver since I just moved here. I was nervous before my first event with Events and Adventures but that changed after I arrived. I have enjoyed meeting the people that I've met through E&A. I've probably done around six or eight of their events and trips. I've gone snowshoeing, which is my favorite. I also did the aerial thing with the silk and I've gone wine tasting and beer tasting. There was also the comedy club and bingo. I met an incredibly nice group of people and the events that E&A plans are things that I may not have been able to do otherwise on my own.

I attended several events with E&A and they were good. I liked some of the sporting events more in the summertime. They were nice. The problem was I just didn't attend some of the things I wanted. I liked a lot of the different things though. It was like, "I wanna try that. Let me go do it." It was a fun way to try new things. I signed up kind of late towards the end of the year and I want to see what would be available in the summertime. I'm really kinda looking forward to that. I didn't take advantage of stuff last year.

Events and Adventures offered a lot of activities that I wanted to try but never had the opportunity to do so. They were a pretty good vehicle to do those. Paintball was the first one I went to and everything was great. I had a good time. I've been with the company for four years and I did about 100 activities with them. Bubble soccer was my favorite one. You get inside a bubble and you play soccer. You try to knock each other out.

I joined Events and Adventures maybe 10 years ago. When I first started, it was really fun meeting other people and doing the activities that I enjoyed doing. I actually met a friend and we've been friends for 10 years. That was probably because I was doing the activities instead of sitting around. Also, in the last couple of eight years, I got in a relationship. That was why I haven't been to the events. But when I was in it, I did mostly their cooking ones. That was really fun. There was also the beach fire. The only thing is I really enjoy traveling but the trips that E&A has, like the tips to South America, are all at the wrong times. They're not in the summer. Otherwise, I would do them.

I heard about Events and Adventures from a friend. I was just interested to meet people. When I first joined, I did about three or four events a month. For the last six months or so, I’ve done probably one event a month. The events were okay and I met a few people that I’m friends with. I’m sure I’ll do some stuff in the future like probably a couple of events a month.

I started over 10 years ago and it's been off and on. Quite a while ago, I met a lady at an event, so I took some time off and I had a relationship with her for about three years. Anyway, I participated in a wide range of activities and my favorite was a trip up to Whistler Ski Resort from Seattle. Some events you enjoy more than others. Some are well-attended, while some aren’t. I felt a little nervous before I got to my first event, but I felt comfortable after. Overall, I've gotten a fair amount of enjoyment from Events and Adventures. It depends on what you're looking to get out of it though. At this point, I'm just looking to get out of the house and they’ve got some good events to do that.

I googled group meets for singles and Events and Adventures came up. The club had different things to do and try out. I also liked that it was local because I was looking for a way to get out of the house and meet people. Arriving to my first event, I was so nervous. I hoped to make it on time. I was able to find the place and I was a little sore because I just went to a jump park. When I got there, it wasn’t that bad. People were pretty friendly and open. They wanted to get to know me and I kinda wanted to get to know them. It was good. The first night was the new members' icebreaker and the game night right afterwards. I love playing games so it was pretty cool. I really enjoyed myself.

I was a little bit nervous prior to arriving at my first event. But once I got there, the people were welcoming. I try to do an event at least once a week. I like the bowling event I did a few weeks ago. There was dinner out as well. Mostly, it’s food or bowling that I go to.

A friend of mine heard about Events and Adventures on the radio. I wanted to get out of the house more, do more things and meet new people. I was nervous during my first event, but everyone was very friendly. I now have attended a lot of events. The best one we’ve done is white water rafting. Try to go to as many events as possible. That’s the best strategy for me. I like anything where we’re doing something, anything new, and anything that I wouldn’t normally do by myself. That’s why I see the real value of the group. A big thing for improvement would be updating the website.
