Events & Adventures sounded fun so I decided to join the club. When I arrived at my first event, I was looking forward to giving something fun. So far, I have been to two events and my most favorite was the exercising games at the gym. Overall, Events & Adventures has been really fun. They have activities that others probably would never just go out and do on their own.

The first event that I had with Events & Adventures wasn't that impressive. We just got lost too much, but there were some other ones that have been really good. I like the events where it was just the group. It's a little bit easier to mingle. I like the events that aren't in bars and I'm looking forward to camping trips and bonfires. The event at the oyster bar wasn’t too bad and it was pretty cool. The last event that I went to was the Super Bowl, and the fun actually happens after the event. Basically, you are using the event to meet people, and I've met friends through those events.
I really want to sign up for archery, and the goat yoga also seems interesting. But it's $65 for a goat to walk on you, and it seems a little ridiculous. It would also be cool if we get to go with somebody’s event without having to pay. I understand that I can't be part of the activity, but it would still be cool to go and mingle with people. For example, there were people interested in archery and it was just not their thing, but they would like to go just because there's going to be people there. And sometimes on a Friday, there's an event that doesn't really gets you but you still like to go. It feels more restrictive when people are having to pay for some of the events to just meet people.
Also, it would be nice to just have a dedicated group for trips, like the Tahoe trip. There's a lot of people who wants to go, but it's already full. And the people who are going are from Oregon, Seattle, Vegas and some other cities. The problem with that is you're meeting people that you will never see again. But I would still recommend Events & Adventures.

I recently lost my wife and I was slowly going crazy. I wanted to get on with my life and needed to go out and find something. Then, I saw an Events & Adventures ad on the internet which seemed good and interesting. I’ve gone to their wine tasting, different cafés, international eats and a juice pub crawl which was a lot of fun. The founder, Mark, put on a surprise party for us and it was fantastic. And I never missed a game night. I know everybody there and we meet all the new people right after they meet and greet. I've also been out to dinner, went to comedy clubs and movies with a lot of people. Also, one of our hosts does a lot of hiking. And when he does his hikes, he always let us know if it's an easy or a medium walk or if we need to get aggressive. He makes it really easy so I really enjoy that as well. Then, the first overnight trip is coming up for a lady who is having her 40th Birthday party in Vegas next weekend.
I’m an outward type of person who has a lot of fun meeting people. Most of the hosts wanted to befriend me on Facebook. I talk to all of them and have a great time with them. Recently, I found a new beginning after 24 years of marriage. We hooked up and decided to go on a date. But I know my limitations. The only bad part that I've had was when we were going to do a hot air balloon ride. I was all set to go but I’m overweight so they didn’t want to take my weight although there were no weight limits specified. But all and all, I’d give them two thumbs. It was a great experience and I had found that I am never alone. Everybody’s looking for new friends and I’ve never met a bad person. I have had a great time and I have recommended Events & Adventures..

I've been to at least 15 events and it's been a blast. I would absolutely recommend Events & Adventures. I love going to the events, meeting up with the people there and just having fun. I've gone to bar hops, wine tasting through the valleys, river rafting, and masquerade balls on New Year's Eve. I was a bit nervous when I went to my first event, but now it's just like hanging out with a bunch of friends. But due to my work schedule, I can't really do a lot of the events during the week. I would like to see some of them closer to me in the middle of the week, but I understand that it's logistically not feasible a lot of times.

I’m a divorced single mom who had a lot of free time than my friends and the people in my neighborhood do. I was looking for an outlet to push myself out of the house a bit so I signed up with Events & Adventures. I was a bit nervous and awkward before my first event because I was just by myself. But I was used to throwing myself into a situation like that and just kept an open mind.
I’ve done four local events so far with Events & Adventures and my favorite would be the whale watching thing. I also went on a hike and it was awesome. There were two women there that I’m really friendly with up to now. I did another event and they both happened to be there as well. We had a really good time and it almost wasn't the event, but because the two women were also there which made it fun.
Events & Adventures is for people who like to explore and I already signed up for some upcoming events like bowling and horseback riding. I’m also going to do Book of Mormon. I’m happy with Events & Adventures, but I wish there were more things to choose from because the few percent of my time, I couldn’t do anything since I’m with my kids. Half the calendar is already not available for me, and of the ones that I have left, only about a third were geographically desirable for me. Otherwise, I'd be traveling. If there were more things on the calendar and stuff closer to me, I would probably be able to sign up for more events.

I'm relatively new in the area and newly single. I didn't know anyone and I felt Events and Adventures is the best way to meet other people plus learn about the area and do things I am familiar with. During my first event, I was nervous not knowing exactly what to expect. Things went well after meeting the host, doing what we were going to be doing and settling into the activity.
I liked both of the events I have attended. One was a comedy club and it was a much larger group. I didn't have as much contact with other members but it was very enjoyable. However, I like smaller groups because we get to talk more. We had dinner and it was really nice. We were able to just talk and get to know one another. I enjoyed it the most. The next event is for a game this Friday.
I have become acquainted with new people and there were a few of the same people at both events. So far, Events and Adventures worked out really well for me. Now I have a bunch more things that I signed up for coming up so I'm excited about them. I feel good about having joined. It is a great thing for the right person. Although it is a little on the expensive side, it is worthwhile. I'm getting a lot out of it.

I was searching through Google for singles clubs when I saw Events & Adventures. It was a substantially sized club and that it had a lot of activities and things for singles to do for socializing. During my first event with them, I was a little nervous and a little bit excited. All the new members for that month met and had a big party afterward. I got to meet a lot of people. Since I joined in November, I have attended six events so far and haven't been going to as many with the holidays, being sick and traveling a little bit. But among those I have attended, my favorite so far was the first night. It was good because they had a DJ, a buffet dinner, and dancing. It was a little party that they had in the clubhouse that was really well put together and there were quite a few people there so it was a good turnout.
I’ve seen a couple of people, different groupings, that were the same people, but I haven’t really become friends outside of Events & Adventures. On an event, I met a gentleman and I've had him as a friend. He was one of the hosts and I’ve seen him at three of the events. We have been messaging a lot but we’re not dating.
Once a month, they are going to start doing more volunteer-based events. I’ve done one of those with them and I like that idea because I like to volunteer. But for the next three weeks, I have to hold off on scheduling with them because I'm leaving town next week and don't know exactly what my schedule is, but as soon as this is over, I can get back to looking at things and be available for scheduling. Also, having a good location for some events would be good because a couple of them were far away from me. I opted out because I'm on the west side of Houston so I didn't want to drive and drink. Sometimes, they’re trying to accommodate everybody in some way and they’re way up on the north side but that doesn’t work for me.

Events & Adventures is like a singles’ club. It’s a group of people who go out to places and show up. That's cool. Seeing people has way more value to me. I went to my first event open-minded and without expectations. I also had a buddy with me so that made it even easier. Doing it alone is more fatiguing than going with a friend. Since then, I've been on at least two hikes which were good. The trails had different options so people break up and move around. You don’t have to take one trail and be stuck. I also went to a cheese-making class and a couple of Friday nights. They have free trivia that was close to work. Going to the aquarium for the New Year’s celebration was fun too. It’s even nice going to a restaurant, having people who already recognize you and talking with them.
Aside from that, I also did the ice skating which I like doing. They should add roller skate night as adult night. We can do things with common interest. Swimming is another great activity. They should keep the diversity too. One girl said she would do basketball but there were nine competitive dudes and when it gets competitive, it’s less friendly. There’s volleyball and other physical activities that are more open for socializing and less competitive. At Events & Adventures, what you pay for is going to an activity with single people. I go to a room or an event and there’s 30 single women together. As opposed to a bar where you don’t know who’s dating, who's married or who's receptive. I’ve been to 10 events in the past couple of months and I'm talking to a couple of women but I go slow.

I like Events & Adventures' bunch of planned events and the places that I can go to. I felt anxious at first but now, I have attended probably 15 events and trips. I have been to bar events, rock climbing, and some of the restaurants, and my favorite is skydiving. It would be great though if the entrances were cheaper.

I went to Denver, got divorced, and quit my job, all at one time. My buddy told me about Events & Adventures so I met with them and signed up for it. I’ve been to hiking trips and I did yoga as well as the Mix and Mingle thing. I recently signed up for the Bingo, concealed cake class, Ice Castles and planned pool. There’s also a comedy thing this Thursday that I’m going to.
They should have an app for better access or at least make their website more user-friendly when you’re trying to use it with your phone because I had problems with that. But I like the steps they made. I heard that the members don’t like paying for the membership and paying for the events on top of it. But outside of that, everything has been good and I would recommend Events & Adventures. There’s a Denver Nuggets game coming up and the tickets are $50. I could get a ticket for myself but the thing that works about the whole thing is that everybody involved gets the same thing. So, the concept, the activities, and everything with Events and Adventures, are awesome.

I had just moved here and didn't know anyone. A friend told me about the Events & Adventures ad and I joined. I was a little nervous at my first event. There were a whole bunch of people that I didn't know but they were welcoming. I've been with them for six months and have only attended four events because there really hadn't been anything that was too exciting. I went bowling twice, then the Trivia Night event, and a walk in the park. I haven't made any new friends.
Please send me an email if there is something that happened after your initial positive comments about our club. ;-)

I was born and raised in the Dallas area and I had been away for a few years, so Events and Adventures was a way to meet new people. I was a member for a year. I was nervous with the first event I went to but it changed when I got there since they were all really nice. I’ve been with 10 events and I liked the 4th of July Bull Party. The escape room was also really fun. I’ve made new friends through Events and Adventures. It was nice to find different things to do as well as find out more about the area. However, I’ve been moving a lot back-and-forth so it has impacted how much I wanted to attend to their events. I would recommend Events and Adventures to people I know if they want to meet new people and have something to do on different days.

I went in and did an interview with Events & Adventures after hearing about it on the radio, and it sounded like fun. It was a little weird at the first event I went to because I went to a bar and I didn't meet anybody there. But then, I went to a few more of their events and it was okay. I’ve gone to about five of them and the one where we went to different restaurants was good. But anyone interested at Events & Adventures has to really commit some time for it.

My ex walked out on me after 17 years, and Events & Adventures gave me something fun to do. You get to meet people and have conversations. There is always anxiety over a new thing but the whole of point of doing this is to simply go out and do something to change. Over time, you get used to going out and doing fun things. I joined in October and I really enjoyed going to the gun range. I also went to a Nerf ball gunfight and I had a blast on the New Year’s Eve Ball too. There were a lot of fun things to do in December but I just didn’t have time. A lot of the people around here are up in north of Seattle and in Seattle proper, too. I’m from the south of Seattle so that makes me an odd man out but that’s okay. We’re working it all out. I've made a couple of new friends and if I find a significant other, that would be great though I'm not necessarily looking. Events & Adventures has a good variety of events and I had a good time in all the events that I went to.
B'nay we are sorry to hear about your past relationship-although we are truly glad you found us! We hope you are living your best life. It sounds like you have found new things to enjoy! Please let us know if you need anything at all!

I was tired of being single, and I just got broken up with somebody about a couple of months before I joined Events & Adventures. I was excited the first time because I had no idea of who I was going to meet. Events & Adventures has made me get out of the house a lot more, and be not afraid to approach people which I wasn’t much before. I made some new friends, so I had a lot fun. I enjoy it. I’ve done an axe-throwing. I've also done the scary Halloween stuff and bowling events. I did the New Year’s Eve party, and that was a lot fun. With Events & Adventures, you get to meet a lot of cool people. Don’t be afraid to go for it.

I was new in town and didn't know anybody. Events & Adventures was a good way to meet people and so I became interested in it. Since joining in July, I've attended at least one event a week on the average. I've done bowling, laser tag and volleyball. Most of the events I've attended are fun. I even have a Punch Bowl Social coming up on Thursday. I'd recommend Events & Adventures, though they can organize some events a little better.

I wanted to meet single people. I was excited to attend Events & Adventures and my first event went smoothly. People were friendly though the first event was a comedy show so there was not much interaction. We met after the comedy show and went to a nearby restaurant/bar. We socialized a little bit. I didn't stay too long because it was a weekday. My favorite event was the waterpark and rollerblade. People were all having fun, enjoying and smiling. I made new friends. The program was awesome and great. But I feel like they're a little bit too aggressive to sell at the first contact. I wish there was more flexibility as far as their pricing goes. The pricing was too high. They want it to be like a club. Even so, I had a positive experience.

One of my friends was really encouraging me to join Events and Adventures. What I was trying to do to meet people wasn’t working. I’m an adventurous person and I like to get out and do things so I thought this would be a better avenue to try and meet someone. There is always a little bit of anxiety before doing something new but I went to my first event with an open mind and it was really fun. I could see people that are a little more introverted, they may have had more of a problem. But I’m outgoing as it is and I’m also in sales, so you got to talk to people. They’re never going to get to know you if you don’t.
Last month was my first month and I have already attended three events. This month will be my second and I am signed up for four. I like all the events that I've attended. One was a hike, one was a Cards Against Humanity night, and one was a party bus. They were so different and I really like them all. The night that I got to meet the most people that I thought there could be a potential with was the Cards Against Humanity night. I’m going to two events this week and one of them is a day trip. I’ve made new friends with Events and Adventures.

Events & Adventures has a lot of fun events and I see a couple of friends. It's a great way to get out and try new things and meet new people face to face.
Original Review: Jan. 19, 2018
Heard about Events & Adventures on the radio and the idea of being able to get out and meet new people got me interested with it. I was very excited for my first event but it has been a complete disappointment. When I had my interview, I was told that the majority of the members were in their 40's and 50's. That is the reason that I joined because I am in my 50's. That is not the case, at least not in Denver as the members were in their 30’s. The last event I went to was designed for people over 45 and there was just one male there and seven women. Events & Adventures is a wonderful way to get to know people. That is why I joined. Their events are fun and I've been to a couple that I stayed for and I enjoyed. But it was definitely a by-myself-type of deal and that's not why I joined. Have I been told that the members in Denver were mostly in their 30's, I would not have spent that two grand. That was a complete waste of money.
I am very careful about the events that I choose because I know that they're all going to be half my age. While that's well and good, the kids don't want to talk to me and I'm not particularly interested in living the life of a 30 something either. Events & Adventures has a great concept and they set up wonderful events. But I'm sure there are other 50 somethings, such as myself, who have gone, walked into a place with all the kids there and they turned around and walked out because that's not what we signed up for. Being honest about the demographics would have made it better because I could've made a decision rather than feeling like somebody just wanted my $2,000 and then, I could just walk away. It's been very disappointing and I wouldn't recommend it. Great qualities but not based on my experience.
Melissa-
I am so sorry to hear about your experience and that you have not found the group demographics to your liking, this is constantly changing however! At this point if you wish to have some recommendations on which events attract which age groups, males v females etc. we can have our event manager reach out to you directly. She would be great with helping with this.
I do not see that you have reached out to corporate yet in regards to your dissatisfaction, I would love to see what I can do for you. I hope you will reach out to me directly to discuss your account. I can make sure you have a copy of your agreement and any policies are explained correctly, and we can look into your specific situation and discuss some options.

I got interested in Events and Adventures for the diverse type of events that they do. I like that I don’t have to plan anything and I can just go and do things I’ve always wanted to do. The first event I went to was a bar bingo. I was excited before I got there then I met lots of people and I had a great time. I attend probably five events in a typical week. One of my favorite events was the glass blowing. Another one that I recommend a lot is the kangaroo balance class which is a fitness class. Both events were fun to do.
The mingles are great that we get to hang out. I also love the dinner or brunch around the world which is always fun. I’ve made lots of new friends at Events & Adventures. We just set a Viking viewing party on Sunday. And on February 1st, we're going to see Sister Act at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres. I've told my friends that Events & Adventures is so much fun to go. Everybody is very welcoming, nice and open about what they've done with Events & Adventures.

I heard Events & Adventures' radio commercial and it said that they do new things like hot air ballooning and sailing so I looked it up online and I thought it was a good way to get out there, try new things and meet new people. I felt a little bit nervous during my first event with them because I didn't know anybody but I met somebody right in my area from where I live at that event. We became pretty fast friends and we carpooled to a lot of events together. I've been with the group for about a year now and I try to go to one event about once a week or at the least, I go to one or two events in a month. We did one of those paint nights where the artist teaches you how to paint a picture. It was definitely one of my top favorites. Also, in the spring we did the Holi Festival which is another favorite of mine. I've made quite a bit of friends too. I'm trying to make more and I'm trying to connect more with the ones that I have made outside of the group.

I wanted to meet more people and attended my first event with Events and Adventures which was The Clean-Up at Cherry Creek. I was excited and I had a good time. The hiking trips were my favorite activities as they generated good chat time. I like the variety of activities and I very much enjoy the daily or weekly activities. But they misrepresented themselves for the trip. They represented that one of the payments was the full cost which strongly irritated me so I had not done any of the trips. They are not as affordable as advertised. Overall, Events and Adventures has been an abysmal failure for dating but good for meeting friends which is fine.

When I graduated college and after I finished my masters, it became very difficult to make friends. I have tried every single dating app and site with no real success at all. I had Events & Adventures on my list to look at but I keep putting it off. I then heard it on the radio one day and I looked into it. The next day I had an interview. I was a little on the nervous side because I wasn’t sure what to expect. But after that, the interview went really smoothly and easily. I’ve gone bowling, billiards, went hiking and so far, the New Year’s Eve event was my favorite. So far nothing romantic yet, but I’ve made a couple of really good friends. If a friend or friends were complaining or talking about different ways to meet friends, I would definitely mention Events & Adventures and that they should think about joining. But then they would have to be up to snuff on the financial side of things to be able to join.

I'm a new member to E&A, but I've generally had a great time so far. I've read a lot of reviews about E&A being expensive, and frankly, it is (but I was also expecting this ahead of time). There was a little bit of a sales tactic to join, but again, expected. The administration side of the business being for-profit shows, but to me, it's more about what you get out of it.
There are tons of events, some big, some small. I can't attend as much as I would like, but I still get to enjoy the events on weekends. Again, you get out what you put in. Some events are just free meetups at a bar, you pay for your drinks, that's to be expected. The large events are additional cost, which I admit get to be expensive, and do wish more was included (IE alcohol on a booze cruise).
There's a rather eclectic variety of people in the group; this is true everywhere you go, and there's exposure to people in the group that I believe you otherwise wouldn't necessarily meet (you're getting out of your comfort zone after all). The great thing is that everyone is very welcoming. This isn't like online dating or trying to meet someone at the bar, where the Seattle Freeze is real.
Getting out is expensive, period. I joined E&A to try new things and be social. The business is a business, and they're event planners first and foremost. I've had the opportunity to try things and meet people I otherwise wouldn't. If I had more free time (a luxury to me lately), I could save myself money and plan more for myself. TL;DR - you get what you put in, it's not for everybody, make your own choices for yourself and nobody else.

I’ve made quite a few friends throughout the course of being part of Events & Adventures. It is worth it especially as long as you keep going and participate. They provide you with a lot of different things to do every day of the week. I definitely enjoyed it. I just wish for myself to give myself more opportunities to make it to events because it’s probably been since October since I was at the last event. It's been difficult because of schedule and some of the events that they’ve just come up with have been either too far away from me to really be able to make it there or they’re too costly.

Our event manager, Tayler plans truly wonderful events! She puts so much effort into making sure the details are just right. She goes above and beyond, always on-call for any questions or concerns that members have. She makes sure to plan each month’s events in such a way that there’s always something for everyone: outdoor adventuring (year-round), and indoor fun. Everything from skydiving (indoor & outdoor), to book clubs, bowling, trivia night, and karaoke. Don’t forget the river float trips! This is a group of people who are a blast, having fun doing events that are planned perfectly!

With Events & Adventures, I can get out and do different things. I was one of the first people in the Denver group and I’ve gone to many events already. For my first event, I was nervous then it just became fun, very easy and comfortable. The comet eclipse was one of my favorites. I also went to the New Year's Eve ball and the Cards Against Humanity event. I took a couple of months off though because I had some surgeries.
I also did the Cherry Creek clean-up event and that was interesting because it was restorative. It was the first time that I ever did that. I also did a variety of the comedy clubs, the escape room and various dinners. I tried various ethnic food like the Russian food we did a couple of weeks ago. I'm also going to the Vietnam-Cambodia and the Orient Express trips. With Events & Adventures, I got to try out tons of new things and I've made a lot of new friends. But I haven't found a significant other. People are a little hesitant about dating because they don't understand the rules. If you start dating, you have to stop going to the events.

I had a lot of friends that had recently got married and I didn't have a ton of single friends. I was looking for people to do things with, so I thought I would check out Events & Adventures. My first event was a mix and mingle thing.Going to a new place and not really knowing anything made me wonder what's going on, but it was fine. They gave me the address and said we were playing board games. I’ve already attended six to eight events. I really enjoyed the St. Mary's Glacier hike. I also did the trailer top cooking class. They have a mixture of things, like Bad Axe Throwing where you throw axes at targets, and that sounded like fun. But I've been super busy so I haven't been able to go to as many events as I would like.
Events & Adventures is officially in Denver and they're still growing. If anyone's looking for a romantic partner, it’s definitely something that's worth checking out. I haven't found people that I'm super attracted to yet, but I've made a couple of connections although a bit sporadic. Overall, I've enjoyed my experience with Events & Adventures. I really like the club.

Before my very first Events & Adventures event, I was a little nervous because of meeting new people but it changed after I arrived. It was very warm and had an inviting atmosphere. Also, the hosts are always courteous and they introduce people to the other members so they don’t feel left out. I go to an event anywhere from one to two times a week and I’ve done painting classes, movie nights and bingo too. But my favorite would be the game night. My next event is bowling and laser tag at Main Event. All the events are a lot of fun and they take a lot of time to make sure they have events for all different types of personalities. Also, I’ve made several new friends and I’d suggest it to anybody that I know who’s single.

I've attended a dozen activities by Events and Adventures. Most of the time, all I do is go to some club or bar on the weekends and it kind of sucks. I work at night and it would be nice if they do daytime trips on the weekends. There’s only so many things that happen at night. But I've played disc golf as well one time, and I did not really care for that. I also did karaoke and went to a Halloween party and I'm looking at the events for this month.

I met some people since joining Events and Adventures. And it's a fun thing to do. I read something about the club in the paper and the events and adventures part caught my interest. I've joined 10 events so far and the Cirque Du Soleil was my favorite. I have two events this month that I signed up for before Christmas.

I learned about Events & Adventures through a friend. I was interested in meeting single men and before I got to the first event, I was nervous, but the host was really good about welcoming me. So far, I’ve attended about 15 events and I’ve done most of the hikes. That’s really my primary interest. I did a cooking class, a Halloween party and several dinners too.
The website is profoundly annoying to me, though. It’s difficult to navigate around and it’s difficult to cancel. Plus, there are all kinds of pop-ups. It just feels really old and I’ve shared that with several members and staff and there’s a pretty wide agreement on that whole thing. I’m a host now and it’s annoying to people to not be able to just cancel an event easily. We get a list of 25 people and only 10 of them arrive. If it’s not easy for people, they’re not going to do it. Other than those, the club has been a really good experience for me. It helped me get back out into the dating world after my divorce without the expectations and pressure of internet dating.

E&A was exactly what I was looking for: a place to establish a new social circle with the possibility of romance if things click. They don't do anything to set up matchmaking or otherwise push the romance angle which keeps things natural and fun. I've greatly enjoyed the variety and quality of events they come up with, especially with their newest event coordinator Taylor. They do it all: everything from hikes, skydiving, Broadway plays, escape rooms, arcades, pub-crawls and sporting events. I feel like there is always something worth experiencing going on. And, because you keep running into the same people you really get to know each other, which is what it's all about. My favorite event so far was this last New Year Eve party which was a masquerade party on a yacht on Lake Union; total blast! If your priority is forming new authentic connections with people, there is no better way.

I also did bowling with them, parties at the Clubhouse, volleyball which was completely fun, the New Year’s Eve party which was great and I went to one dinner as well. Events and Adventures is entertaining and has various activities to do, so you’re definitely not going to get bored.

The variety of events from Events and Adventures appealed to me the most. On my first event with them, I knew that I was going to meet people in a semi-organized way. It was a charity event where they had an area for adults to go and meet. As soon as we checked in, I knew exactly where I was to go holing. But as I showed up, people are immediately welcoming and I felt comfortable. I've attended five events so far and I liked them all. We did a dinner and that was my favorite. It nice and it was a little easier to visit with the people around me. I'm signed up for three more things.
I'd be encouraging my friends for Events and Adventures. I'm still pretty new at it but I've certainly enjoyed. It's a great setup and I like that everybody's single. It's about the events and about meeting people. Then, the rest of it happens as it happens. For people that aren't necessarily trained to get set up with one specific person, it's a great thing.

I got interested in the different activities that Events and Adventures offered because I was going to move to Chicago and I didn't know many people. I was pretty confident that I would meet new people and most likely have fun meeting interesting people. I liked the interview process in which they talked to every person that would come in. So I knew that they have a good selection of people. When I got to my first event, I felt good and I wasn't surprised or disappointed at all. I've attended over 10 events so far. I did the Christkindlmarket, a Mixology class, and I went to Thanksgiving dinner and there they had a treasure hunt. I also had a Goose Island Brewery visit. But my favorite was the boat cruise that they had for Air & Water Show. I have made new friends through them.
But sometimes the events were not as well planned out as we would've liked. And they could work on that. But other than that, if a person is new to town or if he wants to meet new people and then build a different network, or if he wants to discover activities and not fond of searching for what to do on his own, Events and Adventures is definitely a good way to do so.

If you got the money, you don't know where to go, and you're tired of staying inside, then try out Events and Adventures. I've been a member since April and I felt nervous before arriving on my first event, not knowing if it was going to be worth my time. I was mostly in it to find some other people but I also have gone out and done normal stuff like going out to bars and occasionally doing some things out of the ordinary. Eventually, I have settled in and made some friends. I seem to have paid full price for a lot of events and may not have gotten any deals like advertised, but I have gone to about six events per month. My favorites were mostly the house parties and I've also done a couple of escape rooms.

I've been to Whirlyball, a couple of the volleyball events, TopGolf and anything related to sports. I went to any of the social events like trivia and a bar social that was like, "Come in happy hour" type thing. I enjoyed the event that they had at the horse park over the summer and I'm excited and looking forward to the New Year's party that they're having. I would always be nervous going into a big group not knowing anybody and that's how my first event was. But the new member social thing worked out right because I got to meet a lot of people. Now I do two to six events a month. I have done several football watching parties and I have actually gone to a live game, the Rockies professional baseball. I'm also going to the professional basketball game in January, the Denver Nuggets. I have also done quite a few hikes and my favorite event was going to be skydiving, except the weather didn’t cooperate. Then on the make-up day, I was out-of-town so I'm going to have to go back in the spring and do it. The Denver Club is going up in the mountains for skiing next and I'm going to do it too.
Every month, they also try to do a different dinner somewhere and the one that I went to was Gordon Biersch. Then there was the winter party last night which was the Christmas party for the Denver Club. I have also been to the botanic gardens and the city jazz in the park in Denver. I live up a little bit farther north in Colorado and people up here don't go into Denver. Events and Adventures is a great way to get out and do things that you normally wouldn't do and to meet a lot of new people of all ages. I would love to meet somebody, but if I don't, it's no big deal.
I'm very pleased with Events and Adventures. It's not cheap but I like it because it forces me to get out and do stuff, plus it keeps people who are really cheap out. I don't mean they don’t have money but people who are cheap and don't want to do fun things that keep them alive. I look at it like a membership to a country club. I paid it all upfront and it's well worth the price as long as you take advantage of it.

One of my married friends recommended Events & Adventures to me because I wasn’t getting out of the house as I work a lot. I'm an outdoor person and I like that they had scheduled events that I could join if my schedule allowed. I signed up for four events, two of which have been canceled because of not enough people signing up and the other two I went to. I signed up for San Francisco Events & Adventures but it is really the entire Bay Area. So, there's a lot of driving involved in order to participate in the event and the events that are actually in the city are between five and seven.
Events & Adventures is a great concept but it needs a bit of work in order to make it work. They con you into signing up and they won't show you the calendar until they've screened you with this TV process. There were some people that were socially awkward at some of these events that I went to and that was fine as they probably had a harder time meeting somebody. But Events & Adventures make it seem special and then you get in and they take your money and you have to sign up for a year or two. I did the two-year sign-up and now I don’t think I'm going to use it that often because they canceled happy events that I've signed up for. I met a girl that seemed very fun and she told me she was going to the bingo night over in Mission. I was trying to meet up with her again so we could hang out, and Events & Adventures canceled the event. I'm not desperate as I have a ton of friends but I wanted to do more stuff in my neighborhood.

I went to the science museum, the Ramsey House and the Doomsday Hellhouse. I like that I was able to get out and have some fun without worrying about it too much. I was really nervous when I first attended an event of Events & Adventures, and for anyone who would make quick judgments, they probably wouldn’t return. It was an odd experience. I’ve met a couple of people but not anyone that I’ve spent time with outside of E&A. There’s a core group and then there are newbies trying to figure out what the heck they’re doing and also trying to break into the core group. You’re not necessarily paying for friends. You’re paying for an experience but you’re also trying to have an experience with other people.
I have attended about five or more events and my favorite was Pocket Sandwich Theatre, which was a popcorn theater thing. I ended up sitting by myself, and I had more fun interacting with one of the actors in the play that we were watching and not one person from the E&A group said a word to me. So, while it was a fantastic activity, it was a really difficult social experience. I have recommended E&A to other people, but the majority of that reasoning is because of different experiences, just different events that we talk about doing but we don’t ever really do.

Events & Adventures offers the chance to get out, do fun things and make new friends. I felt a little nervous because I didn’t know anybody yet but it was a lot of fun first hand. I did seven events last week, three this week and my favorite is the ZooLights. I usually take night walks anyway, so it is nice to be able to walk with other people. I went to the Star Wars trivia, and then to the Star Wars movie. I also went to the game night at the club house, and a couple of clubs. Although I have lived in Houston my whole life, I got to know some of the areas around it and it was nice.
I have enjoyed my experiences so far and it has been a lot of fun. I made new friends, which is a big bonus because after my ex and I split up, I realized that we had all the same friends, so I didn’t have friends who were not friends with him and then telling him everything I have said or done. I’m scheduled to do the New Year’s Eve trip as well as to go to an 80's dance club because I love dancing. I signed up for the trip to Europe in September, made my first down payment, and I’m excited. I work a lot so, I don’t have the chance to go to some of those out of the country or long distance trips. But I've been to about 20 events already and the themed parties were pretty fun like the Halloween party and the one for Valentine’s Day. I have another one coming up for the New Year’s Eve. I’ve also gone to Trivia Nights and movies and as I go to more and more events, I see more of the same familiar faces. I've also met someone but unfortunately, it didn’t work out for us. We had done water jet packs and that was cool. There's a book club and there's also series of dinners around the world kind of thing where they do different ethnic cuisine. There's also skiing, and shooting, and a volleyball club that meets every week. We also have mingle events. I found a bunch of new friends and I’ve gone on a few dates but I just haven’t found a significant other. I've been a member of E&A for about 8 years, and I can honestly say that joining is one of the best decisions I've ever made. Yes, it's a lot of money, but for me it's definitely been worth it. Since I joined, I've done things I never thought I'd try, like paragliding. Also, although I've always lived in the Lower Mainland, I've discovered places and activities that I never even knew existed, like Wildplay treetop trekking (basically an obstacle course in the trees).
Although some events are repeated, I'm still finding new experiences on the calendars. Most importantly, I've met a lot of great people who I never would have met otherwise. Even the less exciting events (like dinners/minglers) are a lot of fun because of the people who attend. I've made great friends with similar interests so now, besides going to events, I can do activities I enjoy with the friends I've made from the group. Events & Adventures is a club exclusively for singles, so there’s a chance to socialize with people from the opposite sex. My events were a learning time for me to be able to socialize because I didn’t really know a lot of people, which is true for any new group that you join. Having the right mindset helped as I was not trying to speed into anything. But the people were quite sociable in general, and once I attended four or five events, I started seeing familiar faces. I met two or three interesting people along the way and I definitely made a few new friends. I also like the activities that they offered.
I enjoyed the trips that included us not actually driving ourselves but having a ferry ride, a bus trip or a camping trip. I also participated in river tubing, an escape room and mingle dinners. We also have game nights and some very specific events like karaoke and roller skating. There was also the Nutcracker performance, candle-making and parachuting. I have attended about 20 events so far, and I have about seven upcoming trips planned. Events & Adventures is a good place for outdoor activities too. We just need to know what it is that we are looking for. For most people, it would really be handy to have an app because the usage factor has really shifted in the last seven to eight years since the iPhone came out, and mobile phones are being used more than desktop computer nowadays. People can do a makeshift thing if they're already added on Facebook as sharing in media and more streamlining will be quite helpful.

I was a little nervous before arriving at my event because I didn't know anybody. I was also excited and had the normal feelings you'd have before going and joining something for the first time, that new guy feeling. You don't know how it's going to go and how you are going to feel. When I arrived, I felt welcome and the people were friendly so it was a positive experience. There are plenty of events and I've been in for almost half a year now so on average, from my first day, I have done about one or two activities. I've done a few dozen at this point. We also went to a Cubs game and it was in Milwaukie, ironically, but that was fun for that day. Some of the games are nice and fun. I also enjoy things like hiking. We have so many outdoor things. The actual events and the experience going are fun. And people are starting to agree that it's really a matter of what you put into it yourself. If you sign up, you got to go to events so that's the big thing right there. I've enjoyed doing that and has gotten the most of the stuff when I'm going to events. In terms of things, they could certainly enhance the profit by making a mobile app and that's what people have requested a few times. Overall, it's a positive experience. I’ve been to 10 events and I went to a dinner as well as a few of the concerts but my favorite was the sports activities which included volleyball and flag football. With the way Events & Adventure works, some people wouldn’t be into joining it because of financial concerns. As for me, I definitely made new friends and I met a lot of new people that I’ve probably never would’ve met. And they're a fun group of people to hang out and eat with.

I'm an introvert and Events & Adventures gave me the opportunity to get out and do things I don't usually do. During my first year, I was going to an event almost every other day. My second year, not so much and this year I was too busy with work. With the type of work I do, I'd have to take time off to join. My favorite has been this nighttime ziplining thing for Christmas. I was also able to join the Tuesday volleyball, the trampoline dodgeball, and the morning taverns. I'd recommend them to someone who wants to meet new people and do things one does not normally do,

What got me interested the most about Events and Adventures was that I can enjoy some experiences and meet new people because I'm alone here in the US so I wanted to mingle and get to know the country and the people. When I started with the program, it was explained to me how it functioned so I was happy that I could make it. I have attended about 15 events and trips and my favorites were mostly those outside Chicago because it lasted longer. But this weekend, I was in the Christmas cookies decorating party which I also enjoyed a lot. I had a very good experience for the money invested. I was told that I can also sign up for other activities in other US cities like in the West Coast and I expect so I would like to try when I have time.

I was going to try online and meet people, but that was a disaster. It was overwhelming, so I tried Events and Adventures. I joined in September and attended four events. I did a freeze in October, then I attended at least two a week in both November and December. My first event was a painting and wine event. The host was really nice and the activity was really laid back and easy. There was an activity going on and then people would talk to me in between. I had a really good time. I also went to Glendale Glitters which I did not care for as much since a lot of kids were running around. I went to two game nights and those were fun. I’ve gone hiking at night and to the aquarium which was a nice experience, but I didn’t feel like I was with a group. I went to a comedy show, sushi night, hand gliding and the horse track. We went to brunch and the service was horrible. On the other hand, I liked the football and painting.
I wouldn’t go to a lot of these public events because I wouldn’t want to go by myself, but I like that I can go with people and that I don't feel pressure. I like to go with the same people going to the same event because I get familiar with them. I’ve made two friends that are girls and I’ve made four friends that are guys. Overall, I’m pretty happy with Events and Adventures.

So far, I've attended about 10 events by Events and Adventures. I've done volleyball which was a good, fun workout. I've also joined archery and fencing. At first I was unsure of what to expect, but that changed after a couple of events. I've even made a few friends.
Matthew we are so glad you were able to feel welcome in the group. We hope you are still enjoying your time with us! Volleyball is always such a hit! Please let us know if you need anything at all!

I've been to eight Events & Adventure events. I had a hard time during the first event because it was hard to park and to find people. However, as I went along and get over the shyness and saw people on a regular basis -- it gets easier. It’s a more natural way of meeting people and what’s cool about it is that there are new people all the time. You also become familiar with a lot of people and if you're gone, people miss actually miss you, which is sweet. I went to their event at the Phoenix Art Museum and liked that there were so much to see. There was a neat way to go through all the different exhibits and it was very comfortable. The host, Lucy, was also very great and inviting. The people were also great. They also have game nights at somebody's house which is a little bit more conducive to my personality as opposed to finding everybody playing darts and pool. It’s helping me get out of my bubble.
Once, I went to the event in a wine place. However, I was allergic to alcohol. The manager of the event was very accommodating and talked to the host and gave me a separate bill for a cauliflower soup. She went out of her way and there was no judgment. She also did that when we were in a Japanese place which has a two-drink minimum. It was really nice since that didn't make me feel like I'm putting everybody out.
It's so worth it since its hard to meet a new group of adult friends when people are settled in. You find out that there are's a lot of commonality between people from different places. I also like that I feel safe with the people I'm with. One girl told me that she wouldn't sign anybody up unless she felt comfortable carpooling with the person, which I really appreciated. Also, everybody seems to be around the same age but have different experiences. I love that they do new things with everybody at different levels of their expertise. It's also cool that they share videos. I also notice that people are forming relationships, which is neat to see.

Events and Adventures had activities that I wouldn’t normally do with my friends. I enjoyed partaking in their events and the ones I went to had been great. I was kind of nervous before I arrived on my first event but it changed after because the coordinators are friendly. I did the whole ping pong at AceBounce, and it was fun because I had my Birthday party thereafter. I did the Escape Room and a meet and greet for new members which were also fun. I met a young lady who lives in my area. So, when we can, we’ll try to carpool and go together.

The ability to meet new people interested me the most about Events and Adventures. I’ve attended about 10 of their events. I was excited a little bit initially but I’m not going to renew my membership. The club is old-misrepresented. There’s never really an equal balance when you go in terms of the male-female ratio and age bracket. I also wish they were more truthful in the advertising. I was told that there would be people from a variety of backgrounds and all ages, but it did take you more towards the younger age bracket. They should need more age-appropriate activities targeting different age groups instead of just trying to sign up as many people as possible. They should keep it a quality group and try to keep about a 50-50 ratio. I just don’t see the value of the membership. I’d recommend it to guys, but to girls, I wouldn’t recommend it at all.

I was looking to meet other people and I've definitely made a lot of great connections at Events and Adventures. I do about 12 events a month which have all been different. I enjoy the randomness of it. Recently there were kickboxing classes, hiking, pub crawls and painting classes. I also went to a cheese making class and we try to do potlucks. We're an outdoorsy group too, so there's yoga and even axe throwing.
I really like the group but the numbers are not cheap. A lot of the events are very overpriced to the point where I could go do them independently for half the price. There were three 50-50 events but they're not doing a great job on discounts. Their Halloween party was $100 and we were only allowed to drink for an hour but that's what most people want to do. A cooking class was for $300 and there's ATV but it was $560.
I shouldn't be spending this much money to be social so it is very discouraging. The whole point of being in a club is that the events are less expensive, but realistically, they're not. I understand the staff is creating our event calendars for us and Events and Adventures has to pay the staff salary but I have not been to an event yet where I felt like it was discounted. The whole thing makes me not want to go to those events and Denver is very expensive to live in too. We're hearing that there's not a lot of retention in Denver and it's because it's so expensive.

I was newly single and I needed to find some other single friends because most of my friends are married. Before I joined Events & Adventures, I read and researched about them and I liked that they do things outdoors. I also liked the idea that it was an opportunity to meet people and other singles and possibly date within a group. When I went to the first event which was a billiards night, I was a little nervous but excited. The event was well-organized. I met a group of three different people that the host introduced me to and they introduced me to a group of individuals who had come to a few events before. Two of the three are my closest friends now. I see them weekly now and hang out with them.
As a member, I have the opportunity to volunteer as a host and get a credit for those events that I host. I get to go to a monthly meeting with the employees and manager at Events & Adventures in Denver. The events manager and I talk about what questions to have on the table so we could generate conversation and have people get to know each other. I am trained to greet people as they arrive, have them sign a liability waiver and make sure they're mingling with other members of the group. But I can’t consume alcohol to make sure I’m the point person in the event of any issue or anything that comes up.
I’ve been a member for seven months and over that course, I’ve attended a hundred events at this point. I attend about 15 events a month and I host six of those. I just got back from Cancun a couple of days ago and that was with them also. I had a blast and it was my favorite trip. They took care of all of the organizing from the airfare, getting to and from the airport, hotels, and activities so it's fantastic.
It was disappointing that Events & Adventures was marketed as an alternative to online dating because it's not completely in line with what I've seen happen. I originally thought there would be more opportunity to date some men in the group. But I've changed that mindset. I have only been on a few dates and I'm not meeting anyone that is of dating caliber, but I've got friends for life. We have 800 members and we have six couples that I’m aware of so dating happens but it’s not the primary focus. Other than that, I would recommend them.

I wanted to have stuff to go out and do, and to have somebody else do all the research for me sounded fantastic. I was excited about Events & Adventures. I have attended about 20 events and trips. The first one I did was a campout. I love doing that and meeting some people. I just did two this month and I’ll take a look at the one coming out this December. I have participated in the breakout room and the 30th-anniversary celebration, which was a big kickball and sporting event. I also participated in the cheese making where the one I just did was awesome, comedy night, and Halloween party.
I’ve made friends there and it was a chance to get together and hang out. The variety of events is great and that's the one thing Events & Adventures does well on. They could do more stuff throughout the month, too. One thing I was suggesting is to do one event down in Denver and that same day, also do something elsewhere. I have to drive down to Denver for I live a little north of Denver. It’s a whole lot of fun with Events & Adventures, and I always have a great time.

It was new for me. And then for Halloween, we went to the Maze. We've been playing games and we had a potluck Thanksgiving wherein everybody brings something there and we sit and talk. I've met a lot of nice people. People sign up for different events so we’re not going to see all of our friends there. I always notice the faces that I've seen in the events that they went to. One of the organizers smoked ** at a bingo event, one organizer never showed to help anyone at an event, one event was in a bad part of town, and three people I meet paid a different rate than me... all signed up within a few weeks of me. When I joined Events & Adventures, it was promoted not really as a singles' club but as a young professionals’ club, and that's what I liked about it. At first, I would do one to two events with them a week but for the past two years, I’ve done two or three a month. I went to a lot of the sporting events like basketball, social games, baseball, volleyball at the park, and broomball and last night, we had Filipino food as well. It was a long drive to get there but I haven’t had Filipino food in a long time and it was good. It was nice to see a lot of members I haven't seen in a while and I met a lot of new ones too.
They also have the night game at the clubhouse and it’s always fun, and I love when they have the poker tournament since I play cards a little. Also, they have a volunteer coordinator and hosts who make the event so good. Some hosts just come in and sign in, but some really get you involved in the events. I’ve been through four coordinators too and the coordinator now is awesome. I had a lot of fun. I've recommended Events and Adventures to friends.

Different things like wine tasting events that I couldn't get my regular friends to do with me got me interested in Events & Adventures. At first I was excited but it's not what I was looking for at all. I knew that after the first event and I tried to get my money back and they're like, "Too bad." The first event that I went to was on Cinco De Mayo. The way they made it sounds like it's going to be like our group and we're going to have an event to ourselves. But when I got to the restaurant I realized that we're all going to be sitting at this really long table in this extremely loud restaurant. You could not really mingle because you can't hear each other. It was not organized at all.
I also went to a wildlife sanctuary. That was fun but again with the same situation that we didn't stay as a group. A lot of them already knew each other so you felt left out because they would not include you. It's like a mean kid's club in high school where you try to put yourself involved in something and you realize they don't want you there. I also didn't like the idea that they made it sound like you're getting into this membership and then the stuff that they are getting done for you or letting you know what's going on is not included in your price. It's a whole different price range. I still have to pay for the events and the rep wasn't very clear on that. I knew the trips were going to be included but I thought the local events were going to be included as well.
I made a couple of acquaintances mainly because we all connected with our complaints. I met a couple of really nice ladies at the wildlife sanctuary. We started talking about our fees and how they charged everybody different amount. Events & Adventures gave others a free month when they signed up for one year, which they didn't offer to me. The rep offered me "pay two years, get one year free," but she never said that our membership would have extra six months if I signed up for a year but they did that for someone else.
I didn't realize I can get in there and wrangle and get a different fee. I'm still mad about the fees not being included. But at least they're telling now on the website it would be $15 at the door or "We're going to charge your credit cards this amount for this fee." Other than that the last two events that I went to have been a little bit more organized and I think that's because they got a new events planner. Hopefully my next few months would be a little bit better.
I am so truly glad we were able to get this resolved for you!

I've gone to watch the ballgame at the clubhouse, went to the new members’ icebreaker and last weekend, I went to a brewery. My favorite was when I went on a trip and I met a bunch of cool people there. There was a girl in Houston who's only been to one event, but she and I have exchanged numbers and gone to happy hour. I have an event planned on Friday, on next Wednesday then at the end of the month and other upcoming trips. However, I think some of the events are repetitive every week. That was another level. Then I went hiking up on one of the mountains and I liked it. However, I didn't notice how badly out of shape I was and it was hard to get up that mountain. So far, there were a couple of people that I'm comfortable with and I'm very close to, but we never hang out outside the group. That’s kind of good because, with some of these other dating sites, you can meet some very shady people. That was one of the things that interested me the most about Events & Adventures, that it seems a little safer. I was pretty nervous before arriving at my first event. I'd known someone who was a member of Events & Adventures about 25 years ago and I knew she was able to go to different things that other wives went to. I like that with Events & Adventures, people are all waiting for an opportunity to meet with others and to feel no pressure. I also like that that there are so many different things that people can choose to do. They're a great organization.
When I was going to my first event, I had difficulty in directions because the roads didn't have the right names. I was also wondering what the event would be like. It was a wine stomping thing that was held outdoor under terrible weather and the roads were icy. It was disappointing to have a day where you're planning to do something and the weather's in the way. But there were people to visit with right away so that was encouraging. Also, a newer member introduced herself and told me about the things that she'd done in the last months and that she had a lot of fun. I was surprised at the variety of things and it was neat to meet someone who was trying things she was familiar with and things that she'd never done and enjoyed both.
Unfortunately, I thought that my schedule could be more open so that I could go to more events but it did not pan out, so I only ended up going to one other thing. It was a karaoke singing event and I chose it because it was free and it was a night that I could get there. Whoever showed up there was a completely different group but they were open and it was easy to visit with them. I've never been to karaoke before so I didn’t do it, but it was fun to see people just having fun and knowing that the group was there to have fun, too. A lot of them seemed to have gone to similar things and they're sort of a little bit more of a cohesive group so they knew each other but they were all really friendly. Of the events I attended, I like the karaoke better because it's an icebreaker for the way it is.
October would be a great month to do a lot of different things but my schedule did not open up, so that's why I chose November because this season it's still going to go on like that and I want to have the opportunity to at least do one thing a week. I want to do things like bowling where people take turns and people sort of become on teams so I'd get to invest a bit in the people that are on my team. The group at the wine event was pretty much 100% women but in the second one, it was nice to visit with new people. They were outgoing but I don't think I've been out and had things enough to make the familiarity. The weather made me decide to leave earlier than I would have so my concern was my safety getting home early above everything else, although there were people who were encouraging me to stay. In both events, it was the weather that played a huge factor and it was cutting the events short.
Events & Adventures is something to have that you can go through where you don't have to wonder about what is there to do. Plus, there are enough of different opportunities that you can take your time. I also like the way that people communicate on Facebook and share pictures. I have a neighbor that recently divorced and I was telling her that she could bring a guest and she said that would be fun. As for me, I signed up for a year because I want to know and try a lot of different things, and see different types of people and what they're doing. At my age, I've been in the same kind of business and with Events & Adventures, I have an opportunity to do all these in a relaxing environment.

I'm 63 years old, I work a lot and I don't get out much. I'm also a baby boomer and a hippie mom. I was the mom that all kids loved because I'm crazy and like to have fun. I love young people, too. But I joined Events & Adventures because I wanted to meet people of my age and those that I had something in common with. During my interview, they told me that there were plenty of people in my age group, the late 50's and around 60's. But after belonging to the club for four months from July to October, I have yet to meet anybody in that age group except for three gentlemen.
When I joined, I also told Events & Adventures that I drink excessively and I've been struggling with that so I asked if there were plenty of events that weren't bar related. They said that there were many events that are not bar related, but after I joined, almost every event was at a bar. Plus, a lot of these events were south of Denver and they're 80, 90, and 100 miles from me. They involved drinking and I couldn't Uber home. So I'm not having fun and I do not like the club. I want out of my contract but they refused. I sent the certified letter that I was supposed to and they're saying no cancellations. They want me to keep paying them every month but I'm losing my license and I can't go to any of the events.
Aside from that, I have not met any women from my age group. It's the same 30 or 40 people that go to these events and I don't understand it. They said they have hundreds of hundreds of members but when I go these events it's always the same faces and they're all in their 20's and 30's while some are in their 40's. I've talked to other people as well and they charge everybody differently. One girl paid $3,000 for a year but this other guy paid $2,500 for two years. Some people had to pay all the money upfront and some people like me got to pay out of a payment plan.
I have talked to other women that are unhappy, too. They were in their 40's and they said that the men are losers and they're not meeting anybody. So the person who signed me up definitely misrepresented the company. They also told me that a person has to be special to be accepted as a member, but the truth is, anybody who can pay them can be a member. They try and make it sound like it's a higher class club, that they screen people, and that it's not the same class of people I'm going to meet at my local bar. But it's not. It's the same people I would meet if I hadn't joined them and just went to bars.

I was nervous for my first event with them since it was outside of my comfort zone. But when I arrived, it got a little bit easier. Everybody was really nice, friendly and made things go a lot better.
I've been to a couple of bar hops and hiking as well. Then I went to a good Memorial Day camping trip, which was pretty fun. We did white water rafting, too, as well as skydiving, which is my favorite event. I'm also looking forward to my first trip with them which will be in January. We're going to Cuba to tour around for a while and see some of the old historic stuff. All of the events have been pretty good and it is what you make them. My only issue is that if they market Events & Adventures as a dating service, some of the activities that they plan makes it hard to have some one on one time with other people.

I like Events & Adventures' events that were planned on odd days and are nontraditional mostly. I've had a good time on most of the events I've been to. So far, I've been to 15 or 20 events although I haven't been on any of the big trips. What stood out the most for me were the trip outdoors such as river inner tubing and the bowling nights, wine tastings, whiskey tastings, distillery tours and things like that. When I have Wednesdays and Thursdays off, I'd see the same 10 people at different events. But when my schedule had changed where I had the weekends off, there was more a variety of people. So far, there's nothing I regret. However, when I went to Germany for three weeks, I put my accounts on hold. They said they'd send me an email when I did that, but they didn't. Nevertheless, I'm satisfied and I'm happy with my experience.

I liked that Events & Adventures was advertised as singles that got together to hang out all the time and they did it in person. I’ve gone for about eight events a month and I’ve been in since May. It's been awesome so far. I like the restaurant and a lot of the cool activities they’ve done has been fun. I've also gone to comedy shows, some volleyball, and to the haunted house event that they had last Tuesday. Then I have axe throwing tomorrow night. It sounds crazy but I'm excited about it. I have met a lot of really cool people, too. Events & Adventures does a really good job of setting up and organizing the activities but they could improve a little bit more on how they structure their events. After everyone’s at the event, sometimes it’s done early and they don’t really know what to do until they all decide what to do in their own area. It would be nice if they had that set up beforehand so that people could plan what they need to do for the evening.

One of my friends told me about Events & Adventures. At that time, my biggest hope was to meet more single girlfriends. My pool of friends are all starting to get married off and have kids and I feel that I don't have that group of girlfriends where I can do something on a Friday or Saturday night. When I arrived on my first event, I was super nervous because I didn't necessarily know what to expect. But this changed for the better. After that event, I did quite a few before September. I've done a couple of comedy nights, I went to a wine tasting and to one of the bonfires but my favorite was the boat cruise. It was really fun. I also did the Leavenworth trip recently and I wished it lasted a little longer.
They have this upcoming zombie bust where you're supposed to shoot zombies. I was thinking about signing up for that. But my work schedule has changed and I'm working super early now. So, at the moment, I have to play things by ear a little bit. Other than that, the icebreakers that they do at the beginning of the events are not really icebreakers to me. While everybody says their name and where they're from and answers one question, it doesn't really get people conversing enough. Overall, my experience with Events & Adventures has been really positive. There's a good variety of events and though the price points are a little high for certain events, I've really enjoyed them.

I am currently going through a very severe, high-intensity divorce right now, so looking for a significant other is the furthest thing from my mind. I decided that I needed to do something and get out and start meeting people, making friends, and socializing. I have already made quite a bit of new friends. I’m looking to expand my social network because I have none as of right now and Events and Adventures was a great way to do that. I was a little nervous on my first event, but that changed when I arrived. Out of the five activities I have been to, the 30th anniversary, where we met at the Art Marble 21, was my favorite - that was a lot of fun and I met a lot of cool people there! And then, after that, I went on a boat that was on Washington Lake. Then, that Sunday, we did an early morning canoe and then there was line dancing earlier in that week. The people and the hosts are really good. I had a really great time.

The first event I attended, the 4-hour tourist thing, I was a little bit nervous, but mainly excited. But eventually, I got along just fine. I've been to two other events, the coffee crawl and the Seahawks game at a bar. I also have a haunted house event today.

Events & Adventures sounded really interesting because it was a big social group. The first event I went to was the Extreme Go-Kart and I was nervous at first since I've never done anything like it before. It got moved to a different location but once I got in there, I found a group and signed in. After I met everybody, I felt welcomed and comfortable. We talked for a bit about different things and did a couple of races. Then I asked one of the other members about what to expect in the events and since most of them involved drinking, we joked about that because I don't drink much, though I said I'll give it a try. However, I don't feel pressured into going to every event I went to. If I don't make it, then it's not a big deal. If I do make it, I had fun at every event I went to.
I got my membership on the first of this month and I joined 8 events so far. I've had the most fun at the volleyball events and I made a couple of new friends from the new members who played the sport. I also had a lot of fun doing the kickball the other weekend and I'm looking forward to Galveston Beach this weekend. I'm trying to expand my interests but I wasn't all for the Uzbekistan event.
Then there was the time when I wasn't sure if I could make the Joke Joint event because I didn't have enough gas in my car. But during a poker game at the clubhouse, the Joke Joint host offered for us to carpool to the event and that was pretty neat. I enjoyed this event and I've told a couple of my friends about it. I love comedy and it's not an everyday thing that they have 40-somewhat comedians there. It was a benefit-thing, so they only had five minutes each, but each one was hilarious. I've enjoyed Events & Adventures ever since I started and I don't have any regrets about joining. It's a new experience that I would recommend to people who haven't had the best of luck just going out and meeting new people.

The fact that it was singles interested me most about the club. I've been to three events. I went to the anniversary, the anniversary at premier dinner which is for 40 and over, and the Halls Farm where the corn maze was fun. I have all kinds of stuff planned for the upcoming events and I can’t wait until the calendar comes out every month. I have somebody that’s interested and I have to get some start. I’ve only been to a few events and I’m seeing some of the same people every time, but I’m catching on. You have to ask these people their last name and their number so that you can see them again and tell them what events you are going to in the future so that you can make friends when you see them again. I’m starting to see them again now and make some life friends, which will be great.
I’ve been to two events so far where they changed it the last minute because the place was closed. One they told me in time, and one they did not, so I ended up at the wrong place and it’s kind of irritating. But everything turned out okay and I did end up in the right place. I’ve only done a kickball, but the people and host were nice and I got along with the people there. We played until dark then we all went across the bar and got food. Sometimes I had to do a hotel stay just to go to certain parts of my state because it was quite a long drive to go to an event. The activities are fair but I’m still trying to give it a chance. Some events are not as desirable as the others but the social aspect or quality of it has been alright. They had changed the address for my scuba diving lessons and I still ended up taking advantage of the event but I would have rather done an earlier activity than do it later. I moved to Seattle a year ago and Events & Adventures have singles and actual events to learn about Seattle. When I went to my first event, I had already come and gone through the whole interview process so I was a little bit nervous and didn't know what to expect. It was a game night at a bar in the Bronx. There was a segregated area for the club which added a little bit more professionalism to it. There was a host, who was friendly, and there were signing sheets which made it more legit. Then I went on one camping trip and five other events. But at that point, I was still not sure if I was going to get everything I want from E&A.
Then I met Curtis from their Seattle office. He was at the camping trip and I told him my impression that the website is outdated and that it makes things really difficult. They took that on board and they've changed a lot of stuff on the website to make sure it was better to understand and interpret. The hiking trip and the 30-year party were my favorite events. During the pre-planning of the hiking trip, we had a bit of turnover and the things they had planned were for a larger group, so it was weird. But it was at a good location. I am also about to get a dog, but I can't bring it with me to the events. They have dog walks but they aren't dog hikes, which I think would be really good.
E&A is a club that allows the opportunity to meet people while doing events throughout Seattle and they do what exactly they portray themselves to be. With them, I've made friends and got to see and experience Seattle in a way that I never would. It allowed me to take layers off of Seattle that was hard to do on my own. So, for that in itself, it's a great club. There is less opportunity to meet people in terms of dating, but it is not a dating group, which sometimes gets confused when you first approach the club. I am happy with my experience and I would recommend E&A.

I had the opportunity to go out and meet new people with Events & Adventures. I felt anxious, excited and nervous when I arrived at my first event but it changed when I got to know people through time and built rapport with them. I became more confident and excited with people. I enjoy the live music and the shows are nice. It’s worth a lot of fun. I’ve participated in a camping trip in Dallas, a kickball night, a heart trail walk but the last one I attended was a botched attempt. It started late in the evening and we waited for an extra 15 or 20 minutes. There were a few of us who were not happy about it because we have work the next day and we don’t have time for people who aren’t punctual. So far, I’ve attended 20 events in the last two months and my favorite trip was at Howl at the Moon.
Most of the events are over the Northwest and Southeast. It will be great if Events & Adventures have events spread out around the other routes of the Houston area. I wish they would branch out to more cities then we could have more interaction with people from other places when something’s not happening in the Houston area. There’s some stuff I like to repeat a lot but it would be nicer to get a bit more creative instead of doing the same exact thing. I’d recommend Events and Adventures to people. I joined Events and Adventures in mid-August. It provides a great opportunity to meet other people in the city, great opportunity to go to new activities and try new things that I never have the chance to do before. I have been to around 25 events and trips. I was even nervous before arriving to my first event but after a few, I was no longer nervous. I also have several events coming up. I try to go to a decent amount and go to a couple of events a week.
A couple of weeks ago, I went to an event in Duluth. We drove up there for two-and-a-half hours. The event itself wasn’t fun, but we made it a whole day event. We met at 8:30 and didn’t get back until about 9 o’clock at night. It gave us a ton of time to bond with other people so it was really fun. I also like the hike where you could just talk to other people and get to know everyone else. I have not found a significant other, but I have made a lot of people who I am definitely friendly with. I’m beginning to see a lot of people that I met on past events. I continue to see them more and more.
Their website was intuitive to navigate. Before you sign up for an event, it has the button that says “sign up”. However, when you sign up but want to add a comment or cancel the sign up, it still says “sign up”. It’s a little counter-intuitive in that sense and rushed as well when you’re viewing it on a mobile device. I also notice that Events and Adventures is expensive, but I’m enjoying the experience. Some people would really enjoy this too.

I have a lot of friends from where I came from before I moved to the Seattle area about a year ago. It's really hard to make friends here and a friend suggested me Events & Adventures to have a social life. The first event I attended happened the end of July and I was just trying it out but I was also excited before I arrived there. It was okay but the thing is there is a range of different kinds of events and I learned very early on that it’s good to try them out to see which one suits me better and a lot more engaging. I wasn’t really excited after the first event but I went to six others that helped me. There was a hiking, hot air balloon ride, sailing, boat party, and a good gaming night. I found hiking and camping sort of events suit me better. My favorite was the hiking event last month for Lake Twenty-two. But with the weather changing, it’s very hot to do any more hikes.
It almost feels like I’m dyslexic when I’m going through the website trying to pick things out and it’s a very bad experience. An app is something worth investing into and it can work well with just sending me notifications of when the events are coming up.
There’ll be a Halloween party coming up and a few hikes the week after it but I have a very busy job and it’s hard for me to take five days out of a week to go for travel events. Also, a lot of the events through the week were not very accessible to me. I live on the East side and most of them start at 5 and 6 o’clock in the evening. I’ve talked to a bunch of other members and they have the same problem which is why a lot of us can’t participate or attend any of these because getting there at 6 o’clock means we have to get off at 3 or 4 pm. We need a healthy mix of events on both sides or something going in parallel on the East and the West side but it’s not exactly what people want because they don’t want to divide the groups based on geography. The sets of events I can attend are limited by the logistics of the site, but I’m definitely having a lot of fun.

I'm having a fantastic time with Events & Adventures. I like it that I'm able to get out of the house. I've been to more than 10 events now and the Seaway is my favorite. I'm going to Oktoberfest tonight and I'm going to an apple picking and girl's 5k tomorrow. There are some events that I go to that the host does a wonderful job of making sure that everybody is welcome, they're having a good time and they're socializing.
The big thing for me is the new members. It wasn't that long ago that I was a new member and I went horseback riding a couple of weekends ago and got off the horse. We were done and introduced myself to somebody to find out it was her first event and there was nobody talking to her. Then somebody else came over and I introduced myself to her and the same thing. There's one girl that said to me that it seems like a lot of the people already know each other because the hostess sees all the people that she's done all the different activities with that she knows. It's like there's a select few host that doesn't do a good job of making new members introduced or giving them the opportunity to really feel like they're part of the group.
On the other hand, I went to Feed My Starving Children and that host did a wonderful job. She introduced a new member and we welcomed her to make her feel welcome and make her want to come back to more activities instead of feeling like she's coming into some sort of high school popularity contest. Other than that, it's been a wonderful experience. I've been doing more things in the last two months than I have in the last two years. My neighbor is going to come with me to a couple of events as soon as we find something that she's really interested in and I'm having a good time that people are interested in potentially checking it out themselves.

I didn’t go to any events for the first month because I was busy and I was a little nervous but after going to a couple of events, I got to know some people so it was a lot easier. I started in November and have already attended 50 events. I went to Vegas, which was a global one, and to the Labor Day weekend camping trip. I liked the skydiving event. I wanted to do it and I was able to have an opportunity to do that. The trips were good and nice since it was all set up. I had to book when I have to travel, but the hotel where we went to in Vegas was also where they had the parties planned out.
I’m more active so I'd like to go hiking if they have one in the Phoenix area. I'd like to go where there's a huge group and then going camping. I've done some flag footballs and indoor games. I tend not to eat out as much so I don’t go to the dinners as often. But I know those are popular. I work a lot in the week, so on average, I do one event on a weekend and there's a Halloween Party I’m going to. However, I usually have to pay extra on top of the events. For the skydiving, I had to pay an extra 200 bucks. The multi-fees I paid was for some of the scheduled events every day. When they book the event with groups, sometimes there’ll be group discounts, like with skydiving and the hang gliding they went to. But then, I still have to be prepared to pay on top of that. Being with Events & Adventures is how I’ve met people. Since I live alone, it's good to get out of the house and meet people.

I get the gal who does all the coordinating and she tries to get discounts for us. But for the amount of the membership fee, I wish there weren't so many additional fees. That's impacting what events I'm choosing to go to because whether I pay all at once or on a monthly basis, that's still a lot. I also have to pay for the other tickets to get in. And although I don't go to bar or social scenes where people meet-and-greet while drinking I'm going to do like a dinner kind of thing a few times this month. I’m also doing Starscape next weekend.

I'm a single mom, so I have every other weekend and I go to three to four events a month. Also, both of the trips I've gone to were fantastic. I went to the England-Scotland-Iceland trip, and then I went to the Thailand trip. I also like the weird art ones like the glass fusion and throwing pottery. And I have made several friends.
But we really wish that they would add more food on the trips. I'm a chef and the food that we do as a group is really crappy. They should have a package that's really good, local food, not like American food. I have been traveling with a whole bunch and when we went to Thailand, half the group didn't want to eat Thai food, so I understand why E&A do it. But I wish that there was another level like instead of paying for a solo room, I pay for better food. That would be awesome for where ever country you are in.

I’ve had opportunities to date other people and though I haven't found a significant other, I’ve made a lot of good friends. So, I feel comfortable attending the events because of the people that I know. It's a wonderful group of people in more of a social aspect within a similar age range and that's what I was looking for. The things that we've done and the people that I've met changed or improved my life. It made me go in a better positive direction and have more confidence in myself.

I'm hard to please but I've done two whitewater rafting trips in Colorado and Wisconsin with Events & Adventures which I absolutely love. One was in June and one in July. I've met people from the Colorado trip and I stayed in contact with a couple of other girls. One of them, Kelly who is from Chicago, was the one who told me about the Wisconsin trip. Reed, the coordinator for the Colorado trip, was fabulous. The price point, the time, everything with that trip was great, and it's the same thing with the Wisconsin trip. I wasn't happy with the food there, though, but it was beautiful. There was this weird guy, though, that wanted to connect on Facebook and I'm sure if I'd let him, he'd wanted to date me.

With Events and Adventures, I got to travel around and meet new people and do stuff. I was nervous before my first event but I got over it quickly. I started attending events at the end of July with an average of four events a week. I did the 30th Anniversary event and that was fun. I also did a Karaoke night last night. I did the Pizza 101 and Pico ball. They also did a juice crall that was like a pub club but with different juice bars. My favorite was the Salt River Tubing. I've met a lot of new friends and I've been having a great time so far. E&A takes me out instead of staying at home all day. I haven't done a trip with E&A yet but, I am signed up to do one in Antarctica in 2019.

I was cleaning one of my customers’ house and they were listening to something and it was talking about a 30-day free trial so I figure I’d give Events & Adventures a whirl and then winded up signing up. I am trying to figure out who I am again after my husband died in May. We were married for 28 years and he was sick for the last seven years. One of the things that I like about Events & Adventures is it’s not a dating site so I’m not getting set-up because I don’t think I’m close to dating yet but I like to go out and do things with other single people. I love my kids and my mom but I am really tired of going out with them and I want to have fun that’s not with my family.
I have been to four or five events, so far. I like that there is a variety of ages there in Events & Adventures. I went to the Try Something New Dinner, which was Ethiopian food, and it was very interesting. I’ve been to a pool party, to the 80s thing, and then the bowling and laser tag thing Saturday Night which I really enjoyed. I was there for a couple of weeks and I had the flu without fever which winded up being the Lyme disease. I found out that when I went to Louisiana for Easter, I got bit by a tick that was infected. I got tested for it, so for two months, I got to the antibiotics that got me very nauseated. I’d get to the event but I’d feel really lost. When I got home, I thought about taking a break for a couple of months so my body would heal from this. I’ll take one of the nine-month breaks next month.
The people at Events & Adventures are thinking if I’m on antibiotics supplement that I shouldn’t have trouble with the Lyme disease so I start to get flu again above it. I was not planning on getting sick when I joined this and I hope to get on with more activities. There’s one girl that’s been to a couple of events and we’ve talked and we seemed to have made a connection but we haven’t exchanged phone numbers.

It’s nice to have an environment where you’re not specifically looking for another person but you are looking for a friend, so I paid for a membership with Events & Adventures. I went to the welcome meeting and initially, there wasn’t any activity that I wanted to sign up for. When I finally got myself to go to an event, I was so excited because the activity involved climbing up on ribbons and doing acrobatic stuff. It was supposed to start at 8:15 on a Thursday night and I figured they’ve got that first 15 minutes to get us acclimated then we’d be going by 8:45-9:00. But there was some confusion over where we were supposed to be and where the instructor was. Nobody had any idea what was going on for a while. Then finally, Emily, the coordinator, got a hold of the instructor and they got over, but it was almost 9:00.
There were 18 people there and there were six sets of ropes so if it would be three people to a set of ropes and it was a 90 minute class, we’d only get 30 minutes to do the activity. We still had to do some stretching then go through all the training to understand how to do it, so we were not even going to get to the ribbon thing until 9:30 or 10:00. I didn’t even know how they were going to switch off with having three people per set of ropes. So I told Emily that I’d just catch the next activity because I still have to be at work at 7 am the next day. I had a meeting in the morning and I didn’t want to be groggy or look like somebody who’s been out late. She asked me if she could set me up to go first but I told her that that’s not fair because everybody would want that. I was supposed to be getting along with these people but if I go in and tell everyone that I want to do this and go, then that’s not really an experience.
The problem was that Emily had not coordinated where we were supposed to be, where the teachers were going to be, and the place where we’re supposed to go because we all showed up at a completely different place. In the end, I talked to a couple of people who were standing there with me while we were waiting and I had a pretty good time. But nobody I liked talked to me again from the first meeting. Still, I’m going to sign up for a bunch of different stuff. I’ll either run into somebody that I'll get along really well or I’ll just meet people that I happen to meet at several different events like we have the same kind of interest.

I'm slow to make friends in general but I made a couple and got to the point where I know several when I see them. They were very kind and the hosts were helpful as well. I’m glad that they're having some events in the west segment of the town because I live in Fort Worth. I tried to go to those events which were usually dining establishment events. The event that I always go to is volleyball on Wednesday nights. It’s my favorite thing because it’s a lot of fun. I enjoy football on Friday nights as well. The icebreaker night was my first event. I've also gone kayaking, paddle boat tour, the boat ride up at Taylors Falls and my favorite was the white water rafting. It was about an hour and a half north of me so I just went there. The hot air ballooning was canceled since the weather was bad. I’m waiting to see if they get that rescheduled. I’ve made new friends through those activities. I signed up with Events and Adventures August of last year. I've gone to 40 events since then, averaging with 4 events a month. I like the fact that events were planned throughout the month, were pre-setup and that you could just participate in as you want to. That really appealed to me. There is also flexibility on how you're able to do the events. There wasn’t necessarily a targeted singles thing. The first Events and Adventures event that I went to was an ice breaker event. The purpose of it was for new members to get comfortable with the club. Before I arrived, I felt a little awkward because you basically thrust into a situation where you don’t know anybody at all. There’s a little bit of a trepidation there in that regard but people ended up being really easy to get along with so that was good. It was a game night so by the end of it, everyone got around together and was just playing games. It was a lot easier to hang out.
It’s a really positive group of people. They’re up for everything. I’m hosting events now as well and it's been an interesting experience to be on that side too. Some of the events that I've gone to were really good, such as the roach course, the roller skating karaoke, Cooking with Anita, and the one hosted by a husband and wife in their house where we cooked a multi-course meal and served it. Events & Adventures is enjoyable and it's expanded my social world. I also met my girlfriend through it. Events and Adventures is a really good organization. It revolves around the host and the event coordinator. Giving invitation to clubs as well as the variety of events throughout the month are good ideas. I've recommended Events and Adventures to five of my friends already.

Events & Adventures did a presentation in the apartment complex that I was living in at the time. Getting out and finding new things to do in the area and making new friends was interesting. I was a little apprehensive about the first event because I didn’t know what it was going to be like but it was very positive after that. I also do hostings for Events & Adventures. I’ve attended hundreds of events and nine international trips. My favorite would be the trip to China. We also did whitewater rafting on the Mattawa River, skydiving, evening cruises on Lake Union, and camp-outs. Most of the events are really good and I’ve enjoyed them. It’s just a matter of attitude.
For the cost of the events, it’s also a good value. Plus, I’ve made quite a few friends. The group that joined shortly after I did, we still keep in contact with each other and occasionally get together. We may also see each other again at the 30th-anniversary party next month. I've been part of Events & Adventures for a year and a few months now, so I've attended many events already since I do several activities every month.
I like all the different activities. There are usually activities that I wouldn't normally even hear about or even get to do. I was new and just moved into this area so I was trying to find clubs where I can make friends. I found Events & Adventures on the internet which was more on socializing, making fun and going to places where I wouldn't go by myself. They allowed me to have six months subscription because I was not sure about our stay here and what to expect from the club so I paid a one-time payment up front and became a member the end of March, and for the next three months. My first event was very welcoming and I felt good. I meet good friends and all people are great. I've been trying to go to one or two events every week, and sometimes three. I also heard upon water rafting and camping trip to Canada, and it was my favorite.
However, I’ve been so busy because I bought a house and didn't have any time to go to any Events & Adventures in July or August and I try to. I didn't want to cancel. I just wanted to postpone it for the two months that I cannot attend then attend in the future when I can and done moving with all of my things. So I sent an email to customer service to see if they could put my membership on hold and extend by September or October, but I never heard and received any reply. My subscription will be over and out of those six months, I didn't use two months so it's a little bit of a pain and I don't have any refund. Other than the financial thing, it's been a very good experience. It's a nice club but it depends on people’s expectation. I wouldn't recommend it if their expectations are for dating, but I would if it is for socializing and making friends.

I like the idea of Events & Adventures as a club. They advertise for singles and have them do something fun and see if you meet different people. I signed up with them last April and I've probably gone to at least six events a month. I went to one with the Szechuan karaoke event which was fun and some of the outdoor activities. There was also an event that we all went to. A place where they allowed dogs. So we all sat on the patio with our dogs, and that was fine. I like the 4th of July cruise dinner and that was fun too.
Events & Adventures have fun activities and the people are all very friendly. But I hope they have something like an identifier in their events. I'm a social person but I don't know the group of people I'm going to be with and we get to meet them in public places. I was both nervous and excited when I went to my first event which was a pickleball event. When I walked in there, I saw a group of people standing in the corner and some people in the line. I know they have a lot of hosts that people know but they can't assume that everybody knows everybody. It also happened when we had our event in a restaurant. Therefore, it will be nice if there was a pin, a logo or something on the shirt so I can see the sign and just walk that way. You don't want to end up joining the wrong group of people, and that actually happened to me in one of the events. I kept waiting and waiting.
I like all the activities I've been to and they're all fun. I don't drink alcohol so if the event's entertainment is mostly alcohol, I don't sign up for those. I had signed up for a trip to Europe and that's coming up in September. But then after I signed up with that, another trip came up to Cuba in January. So I went ahead and signed up too. I guess when you're new, you jump in and hope for the best. I like international trips. I decided to get a private room option which is a little bit more expensive.
I know they're advertising but it's surprising to see all the different age groups. I've met a 22-year old and a 60-year old, which is nice. When I signed up, they said that they're trying to set up events for people like under 40 and over 40. But in the over 40 crowd, they definitely have more women than men and maybe they can target some of the more professional groups better. I was surprised to meet people who, it seems like they were financially struggling and we were not in a cheap club’s joint. Not that I have any problem with people from different socioeconomic background being in this group. Everybody has their choice of how they want to spend their money. Again, I love meeting different kinds of people with different backgrounds but I have yet to meet someone who’s had higher education. Those are the kind of people I want to go for but I don’t know how they can target that group of university level people.

Then when I joined the military and moved away from home, I had to find a group of people that I could do stuff with like that. I joined Events and Adventures and I was a little nervous during the first event but it was probably not the most orthodox event anyone could think of. I went to a paddle boarding event on Memorial Day weekend just because I've done that kind of stuff before. I've done the hike way back in June and last weekend. I've also done a late night ultimate frisbee game, the glass bowling a couple of weeks ago and the archery event a few days ago. I also went to a pottery class as well as the Adventure Course and those two are my favorites. On those adventures I went to, I've made friends that I keep contact with.

Events and Adventures' activities interested me more than anything else, as well as meeting guys that I would be friends with and I could do things with. I started in March and my first event was on July 1st. I was busy but I was nervous too, but once I got on board and I met a couple of friends, then it was on. So, it was great. The biggest thing with the group is that everybody is nice and everybody has felt out place somewhere and we all have our social anxieties and things of that nature but within the group, everybody is accommodating and they want you to have a good time. You just have to show up. On my first year, I only went to three events because I work six days a week and some of the events are an hour away. It wasn't a lot and it was a couple of major events.
This year, which is my second, I'll probably go to four events a month. In fact, I went to one on Sunday and then a couple of guys that are my friends and I went out on Friday night. In the last month, I've gone to six events, no trips. Yesterday, I went to Angel Island. We took a ferry, rode electric bicycles and we went to Angel Island Tour in San Francisco. I'm going to country line dancing in a week or so and there's a Prince tribute event that I'm going to go to, as well as something called Slowtopia which is the inner tubes down the river. I've also gone to a Halloween party, New Year's Eve, and then various events, like eating events. I also did a rocket boat thing, and on Fourth of July, they had a cruise in the bay where we can watch a couple of different fireworks.
It's a lot of fun different events that I would never get to do on my own or even know about. There's one on the calendar that's there all the time that people love and that's volleyball, and I go there for the socialization because there are different people sitting on the side that I can talk to. Camping and white water rafting were awesome as well. It depends on what people are going for, but when I signed up for something, I let all my friend and my buddies know. That way, we get a lot more people and they’ll be introduced to new people that are coming, and it's more fun.
They have a Facebook web page so you can see the things that people are doing and if it looks fun, then you can go ahead and do it. I suggest looking up the calendar when it comes out and then highlight the event that you want and sign up for it so that you get reminders so that you'll go. Overall, I'm glad that I joined and I probably re up for another year because after three years it's a lifetime membership and it's way less expensive.

Events and Adventures took the whole pain out from having to look for things to do myself. They've put it all up on the calendar and I can just pick and choose what I want. I could work it with my work schedule and all of the things that I needed to do. At my first event, I felt a little nervous. I wasn't sure what kind of people were going to be there but the event turned out pretty cool. I have a good group of friends that I can expect to see that go regularly as well. Sometimes I see them outside of Events and Adventures too. I've attended about 20 events since I became a member. I like the ones where there are arts and crafts. There was one where you could make your own pottery and then you get to paint it. There was one where we did a trampoline dodge ball too and that was fun.
One of my favorite group activities was going to candle making. I'm going to that tomorrow so I'm excited. There's also a weekly activity where we go to a bar and they have a volleyball court and we play. There's also one where we just do pub crawls or meet up at bars. We have drinks, play card games and stuff like that. Those have been fun. I have a couple of good friends now through Events and Adventures. I am also seeing someone that I met through them. As long as you're there to have fun and make friends, you shouldn't have anything but good experiences.

The general idea of joining a group and having a calendar of events to sign up for has gotten me interested in joining Events and Adventures. My first event was just a few people, so I was pretty calm and the event was good. I've attended 15 events already and I've met some cool friends. We went to a baseball Punch Bowl Social, gone on a hike, went to a reggae night, and also went to the Santa Fe Art Walk in downtown Denver. The volleyball event was my favorite. Overall, I really enjoyed the group and I definitely can say that it's a good experience and totally worth it.

What interested me about Events & Adventures were doing new things and meeting new people. My first event was a gala and I felt a little nervous and awkward in the beginning. I didn't really know how what kind of identification would be in the group but then I saw Alex's name tag so it was fine. It was a charity ball and there was dancing. I didn't really stay that long but it was good. Another event I went to was a movie and that was the easiest. I also did the tropical dinner at Tonga Room. Then I did the dinner and drinks on one of the rooftops at the Mission and I liked that one. I've had fun new experiences with Events & Adventures and I've met a few people who were friendly and with whom I would like hang out again. It's been good so far and the coordinator's been really nice.

I had moved to the city and at my job, there’s not that many young single people. I wanted to experience the city and meet new people so I went to Events & Adventures. I was super nervous before I arrived at my first event since I didn’t exactly know what it was going to be like. But it got easier. There’s a host so you don’t have to navigate through whatever you’re doing by yourself. They also introduce everybody to each other so you don't do it on your own. I joined back in October and now I go to three events in a month on average. I actually met my current boyfriend on the second event. I've also made friends and it's been awesome.
Some of the events that stood out to me were the trampoline dodge ball and the badass axe throwing. We also did a massive Cards Against Humanity session and it was hilarious. I also went to the Memorial Day camping trip up in Wisconsin where there was 200 of us and when we first went up, I was super intimidated. But it was awesome since you didn't have to do or think about anything because meals and the activities have been planned. I recommend Events & Adventures to everybody.

I heard about Events & Adventures from a radio ad and was interested in how you get to do different things. I've attended less than 10 events and have done a little bit of different things and have had a good time with friendly people in most of them, too. I met some pretty people and hung out with one. I'd recommend it.

I was new to the area so I figured Events and Adventures will get me out to see the area and meet somebody new. I felt nervous when I went to my first event because I'm going some place and I don't know anybody. But once I got there, it was fine. I did an out-of-state New Year's event and the organization of it was good. However, I didn’t know then if I should share a room with someone or not. I specifically called the rep and said that if they get my own room, I don’t want to be with a 20-year old drinking all night nor an old person that’s gonna go to bed at night. However, I got paired up with the oldest person alive. She must’ve been 87 and I’m 40. It sucks having to share a room with someone who was in bed by nine o’clock the night of the New Year’s Eve party when there were plenty of people in their 30, 40, 50’s that I could’ve been roomed with. I felt that’s how the rep viewed me so that completely changed my opinion of the organization.
I called up once to put my account on hold and they said, “Okay sure. No problem.” And then I called up the second time but then they said I need to do an email and then this, and then that, which was different from the first time around. And so, I don't think my request the first time I called counted because I signed up for 18 months and then, it ended me with 19 months when I should’ve had that other month. Events & Adventures is beneficial for somebody who is new in town. I didn’t join to find a life-long partner. It would’ve been nice though if I've met a good friend but I guess, I didn’t feel a strong connection. Nevertheless, my experience was good. I’ve met some interesting people, some were good and some were better than others. In fact, I've made a couple of friends and we see each other at events but they were not life-long friends that I choose to hang out with. The group was good for me to get to know the city and for things to do.

I was nervous and apprehensive before arriving at my first event with Events & Adventures. After the event, my apprehensions melted away. Now, I've attended at least seven events. I did the Segway tour, kayaking, hang gliding, a nature walk and a brewery tour. There were also bowling, karaoke and a games night. Of those events, river kayaking was my favorite. I've found a lot of new friends so far through Events & Adventures. It gets you out of your rut and helps you do things that you never thought about doing or have the resources to figure out gathering a bunch of your friends to go do like hang gliding. My experience with them has been life extending.

Events & Adventures is a club for singles but is not a dating site. It's has something that can get me up and moving and it's about adventures and events which is what I want. I felt excited when I first joined an event and so far, I have been to six. I liked the white water rafting trip and I got several more trips on my calendar. One of them is the beach barbecue and in August I have the Salsa Cruise. I also booked the Germany-Austrian-Switzerland trip for September and I'll also be heading to Cuba in January.
In the activities I joined, I met a lot of good like-minded people and an awful lot of professional women that like to be active in and around my age. I like that there was such a variance in age in the members. There seem to be cliques with the younger versus the older age members and I'm on the high end of the age bracket there so it was very comfortable. My experience has been very enjoyable and I have recommended Events & Adventures to a couple of friends.

A couple of years ago, a friend told me about Events & Adventures then I heard of it on the local radio. Meeting a lot of group of people in the same situation got me interested in this club. You can have good friends and have a good time and go out to do something adventurous that you might not normally do by yourself. You show up on a regular basis and not random meet ups where hundreds of thousands of different people can meet up. I've gotten to more than 10 events. I went to quiz night, the ice breaker social, board night, bingo night, volleyball and went to a Rockies game. My favorite was the baseball game that we did. On July 4th we had a picnic at the Cherry Creek Reservoir and played outdoor games which were fun. I have found new friends and had quite a few of them attend my birthday.

If you're not over the age of at least 30, don't even bother investing in this organization product. I was a part of it for a couple months and it was the worst choice & investment I've ever made. Everyone I met was far and above my age bracket. And With the large amount of upfront costs I paid, I was hoping for more free events, which are barely present month to month. They definitely get your money out of you. Keep in mind I have a previous step parent who met their current wife on here, but it's his third marriage, so take from that what you will. Simply put, I'm not a fan of this organization. Everything you could facilitate for yourself if you can just get together with your friends and meet the friends of your friends at just regular stuff around town. Don't blow so much freaking money on a service you don't need people!!

The first event I attended with Events and Adventures was at Happy Gnome. We had drinks and dinner outside on a sunny afternoon. That's when I met most of the people I know now and it was a really good event. I was nervous but I felt more comfortable that people were talking to me. I ended up having a really good time just talking to people. Sometimes, I still get a little nervous going to events because I don't know who I'm going to meet but they were welcoming.
I've attended several events since I signed up. We went to different breweries on a bus, a 4th of July event where we went on a boat ride to Taylor Falls and then there was also a paddle boat ride event to Lake Minnetonka and that was really fun. I would like to do more events on the water. I like to be on the lake, by the sea or by the water especially in the summertime because once the summertime is done, you don't get to do that a lot. I'm getting to know people right now and they seem really nice.

I wanted to get out of my apartment which had become a habit after a divorce of about a year plus and hopefully to meet someone. Once I signed up with Events & Adventures, I was basically excited. I've gotten up in front of a group of a hundred people and presented before, so nerves have been long gone. I've made a fool of myself before and I could do it again. By now, I've been to about 20 events and I would have been to quite a few more, except I am now in the middle of a three-month contract in Denver working 70 hours a week. So I had to leave after two months of belonging.
As strange as it might sound, I had a great time at the croquet event. There was a great group of people and we were laughing and having a terrific time. I also enjoy all of the international dinners where we go to different restaurants. I love traveling and I'm signed up for the trip to Germany. I can hardly wait to do that. I've only had one event where I was seriously disappointed and it was the fault of the vendor, not anything I would necessarily blame E & A for. Plus, their people out of Minneapolis have been very responsive, but Curtis sucks. He's the individual that I've been directed to for any of the travel-related items and I've sent emails to him requesting pieces of information that he's yet to respond on.
However, one of the questions I asked while contemplating joining was whether I was too old for the group. On the website, it shows a predominantly young group of people, maybe 35 and younger, and I'm on the age group that helped build the pyramid. And they assured me, "Oh no, no we really need someone older 'cause we have a fair amount of older women, and we really are desperate for older men."
Now I don't know if the older women just don't come but the reality is, when I'm sitting anywhere from a group of 15 to 40, there's one or two women who are about 45 and I'm still definitely a decade older than they are. One of my reasons for joining is to meet somebody and it's a long shot than I was led to believe. This is definitely for a 35 or younger group by far. But I don't have problems socializing with anybody of any age and I'm having fun with all of the events. Nobody's ostracizing me and we get along at all of the parties. I don't regret joining Events and Adventures and under the right conditions for the right friend, I would definitely recommend it.

When I was signing up for Events and Adventures, I was very much led to believe that my fee for the year would cover 90 to 95 percent of the event but I have found that I still have to pay for a majority of the events that we're going to. I do not mind and I can financially afford it, but I was misled when I signed up. I don't want to feel like I'm being ripped off and sometimes I do when I have to shell out more money for events that I know shouldn't cost as much as they do.
Also, there are always things that could be improved upon like when they list an address which is not even right. Particularly, it pertains to the meeting at a park. They listed an address and then I ended up in the middle of a neighborhood and there's no park. The other thing I've noticed and it's an annoyance is that some of the hosts don't do the best job at making new people feel welcome. I know a bunch of people now in the club and I feel like I probably do a much better job of talking with new people and making them feel welcome than the hosts do. There are a few hosts that are younger that maybe shouldn't be the host. But all in all, it's been a very positive experience. I like everything. I've done a ton of events already like the Memorial Day Camping which was a blast and bowling which was my favorite one. I've been enjoying myself and I've met really cool people.

My co-workers mentioned about Events & Adventures and then I got online to find out where I could sign up. I got interested in the different events they have and then there's a chance of meeting someone although it was very narrow for me. I was a bit nervous when I went to my first social event where I never knew anyone. I might be the new guy and everybody else has been there long enough and they might have known each other or recommended each other. But then everyone was pretty friendly, a mature crowd, and I laughed a lot.
I've only attended two so far. There was the meet and greet and then the event that I liked where we went to a Mexican restaurant. I met one friend and we'll have our first date on August 5th. We're going to the Opera, McCaw Hall, to see Madame Butterfly. Then I just recently bought a home so that's been my focus so I haven't had a chance to get into the social scene yet.
There's great opportunity to meet people with Events & Adventures, whether looking for a significant other or not. There were things that I've probably never done that I can experience with them so I thought it's a great program. These dating websites where they expect a person to put money upfront, the focus is different with Events and Adventures. It's more about having fun first then build relationships later.

I'm new to Vancouver. I’m single and I wanted to look at making new acquaintances and also getting an idea of what's available here to do. I was looking forward to my Events and Adventures' first event and seeing what it could bring. But I wasn't actually too pleased at first. It was quite dull because the fellow members that were there weren't very talkative and at the same time, there was a football game. They were very quiet and reserved. But in many of the other events I've been to afterward, I met great and better people.
I have two favorite events, the Murder Mystery weekend and the Canada Day boating cruise and I've made quite a few new friends. Going with Events & Adventures literally works as long as you're not looking for anything relationship-wise. There was a t least 20 to 25 people and the places we went to were not accommodating for us. The first one wasn't expecting us and then the owner on the other place was very rude, though he did apologize. But overall it was good and I'd do it again. I've made some friends, too. I've been to, approximately, 12 events with Events & Adventures and I've found some good acquaintances. Ziplining was my favorite. There were some activities that I wanted to do but they either had the wrong date or they got postponed. Once or twice, it was a matter of the information where the website may have given inaccurate information and there were one or two other times where the weather affected the opportunities. The paddle boarding and kayaking were the ones that I was really looking forward to but they were postponed. With the kayaking, the date was wrong on the website so everybody showed up and then it didn't happen.
People make prior arrangements to be there so I think that the company needs to be a little more lenient on getting us some type of compensation. People have to have sitters, make driving arrangements, take off time from work and drive a distance. Then, they don't get accommodations when things aren't correct. That's irritating and frustrating. I offered that feedback but I've never received any type of response or correspondence. Also, at times when I go to so many events, the young professionals are sometimes a little cliquey and that's the disappointing part. Then there was one particular host who was a bit unprofessional at times. But overall, I'm satisfied and I'd like to see some other events come up that I haven't seen yet that I would like to do.

What got me interested in Events & Adventures was the fact that it was social. That way I get to meet people, enjoy other companies from other singles, just to have fun, and I’m really enjoying it so far. On the first event, I was excited to see who else was joining because of the icebreaker. All new members get to meet up together and see exactly who else joined, and it was actually a very fun event. I've been to almost 10 events and trips and my favorite is when we floated down the Salt River. I also enjoyed the clay shooting where we go out and shoot clay doves.
To have as much fun as one can, one should be the person they are and enjoy the company they are with because everyone’s unique in their own way, and I am enjoying everyone’s different uniqueness. There are some shy people, but they’re slowly getting out of their shyness and getting used to people around. Events & Adventures is a great program and it even works if one lives too far away from all the events, which I do. I’m almost two hours away from almost everything that’s scheduled up and they were able to work well with my budgeting. I have already recommended Events & Adventures to a couple of friends.

It was a fun outing and the venue was nice. I also did a pizza social, forbidden bingo, beach volleyball and a Cider and Blues Festival. However, I am on a pause right now because I wasn't finding enough events that I wanted to join.
I like the idea of being able to join an event on a day that you might have off from work. But the part I didn't like was that it's starting to become clicky where people know each other and so they're unwilling to make friends with other people. But there are some people I have met and so if I went to another event, I could talk to them.

In this regard, Events and Adventures could do a better job in choosing a host. It’s not fair that people who haven’t had to pay for their membership then don’t have to pay for the events can be really rude to the members.
I liked the Whirlyball event the most and I also had a fun time tubing. The travel was okay too. I’ve only been to one trip and I stayed in my cabin. I go to events three times a week and I have a party coming up tonight. I’ve met new friends but the quality of guys is pretty poor. I'd like to meet people in person and not to just sit at home, go back and forth with online dating with a whole bunch of text messages and never going out to eat or doing anything. I saw pictures of sky diving and all those cool stuff. I've attended 11 events in total. I was both excited and nervous attending the first event. I was scared that it was simply going to be like a bunch of losers but everyone was really nice and the event was great. There's a big group of people there and I got to meet a whole bunch of people but I couldn't meet everybody. It was like Cinco De Mayo. It was a taco-themed event and potluck. Everything was festive, we were taking pictures and we played with hitting the piñata.
I like the sky diving, it's awesome. The white water rafting was my favorite event before I went sky diving because I got partnered up with a random person and it was fun to meet and talk with other people. We did a little cliff jumping off of a 15-foot thing so I got my adrenaline going and we spent all day together. I got to carpool with a couple of other people and then we all went out and had burgers and drinks afterwards. It was like a little family for the day. I also went on camping. We met up with Chicago and the Wisconsin Dells area. I have my own schedule so I just had to drive myself. I ended up sharing a tent with a friend and I really liked the location Heather had picked out. It was really awesome and I had a great time.
I made a lot of good contacts, too. I had a significant other for one month. Currently, I'm employed right now so it's hard to get out of the contract obviously, like a year and a half. I was really thinking that after you got a boyfriend that you can get out of the membership, but I didn't realize it was like you have to have like a married thing. And they said that you could freeze the account where you don't go to events but you still pay. It seems like whenever any company says you can freeze your account, you should be able to freeze the spending part because that's the reason why mostly you need to freeze is you don't have a job, you don't have any money.
After the 18 month period from when I first signed up, I should be able to continue for an additional month until then. I'd like to pick right up after but it doesn't really make sense to not go now, pay now and then to go later at the end when this whole thing is like a lifetime membership. So there really is no additional months at the end. But other than that, the entire experience was fun, adventurous, drama filled fun.

I always liked going on adventures and doing fun activities and heard about Events and Adventures on the radio and on Facebook. So being able to do it with a large group of people and still being able to get out without having to go to bars to meet people or clubs interested me. I was more anxious than anything at first and wasn’t sure how it was going, what I would expect or who I was going to see there. But a lot of people were very friendly and came up plus introduced themselves and asked me to join their group. It was a glow in the dark mini golf activity that we had and was a lot of fun and really cool. The lights were dimmed then there was a black light and the different mini golf things had paint on it. There were black-lit. We got divided up into different groups and started talking. Everybody was really nice, friendly and welcoming.
I've been with the club about seven to eight months now and done lots of different activities. They also have activities that they do just locally with different clubs. They’re all over the U.S. and they also do actual trips, national and international. And so that was another thing that interested me about the club since I love to travel whenever I have time or money but those two things are commodities nowadays. Another thing that really interested me in signing up for the club was the China trip because I've always wanted to go to China and see the Great Wall. After six months, I went on that trip and it was amazing.
I went to Canada first because it’s where the trip was getting based out of then I spent three or four days there exploring and meeting people that were going to be going on the trip. Then we all met up at the airport and nine full days in China, three in Beijing, three in Xi'an, three in Shanghai and it was an incredible trip. I wanted to do a little bit more so I decided that I would get on a place and head on over to Japan by myself and do that as well. I had five days in Japan after that and it was an incredible and amazing trip. Then last weekend, I went up to Vancouver to do some camping and white water rafting as well and that was a lot of fun also.
They take care of everything and it’s really, really nice. It’s high class the whole way and we were staying in nice and great 5-star hotels. All of the restaurants that we ate at were amazing and reputable. They had great breakfasts plus awesome amenities and services which are nice. In addition, they gave us the opportunity of having your own private room if you don’t want to share with someone. It’s going to be a little more but they give you a bunch of different choices to choose from. There’s a guy that they use to plan all the different events very carefully and then there were times where we had extra time where we were able to add other excursions that might not have been on the list or the itinerary beforehand.
The Event Host always puts little posts on Facebook so we always have input to say what we really like to do or things we enjoyed a lot that we might want them to bring back. It’s not like someone chooses it and you decide if you want to go or not. But I’ll probably wait about a year before I go on another trip with them that way I have enough to recoup. I'm still trying to recover from Asia. I had so much fun and spent a lot of money there. But, hopefully, they come up with Africa soon because that would probably be next on my list, too. I also made tons of friends, go on lots of dates with some of the different members that I have come in contact with. Dating is usually the first step before getting there and I’ve definitely been able to do that a lot more just being in a club.
There are so many fun activities they do. From skydiving to painting at a class to photography class which was really cool. We were able to learn more about photography and take pictures of different things. They have a hot air balloon ride which is going to be coming up in September. There’s also a glassblowing class that I'll be going to in another week or so. It’s a blast. They do anything and everything really. Every event is almost like going on a big group date where you get to meet people and it’s not awkward, weird, or uncomfortable like some dates can be at times.

The opportunity to do different things that I haven't tried before made me join Events and Adventures. I was nervous and excited before my first event, but everyone has been friendly and the leader introduced everyone so there was a friendly atmosphere. I've attended six activities, and my favorites were the hiking and the premier 35 dinners, which was a dinner for people over 35. They pick a restaurant, meet up, and that's about it. We also did a zodiac ferry over the bow in Harlan and had dinner there and back one evening. Aside from dinners we also did meet and greets. I've made friends. However I am taking a two month hiatus because I love traveling with family. Events and Adventures is good and it has lots of different people but there should be more people of my age range since there's a lot of younger people.

I was new to the area and I was looking to meet people so, I joined Events & Adventures to meet people and get out and see what's around in the area. The sales guy gave his spiel and asked me if I was open to dating. I said yes, and for me, if it happens, it happens. He made it seem like that was the focus of the group and that led me to believe that the men to women ratio would be more of 50-50, but generally, it was 90% women and 10% men. That was a little misleading in the beginning and I didn't join for that purpose.
In addition, the upfront cost and most events still cost but by going in a group, you'll get savings. I also realized that I was paying for other things as well and it's a lot of money. Other than that, I've done mostly their local events and some of the overnight stuff. I've been pleased with the place I've stayed at every time and the hosts were always very organized and very upfront with what we needed to bring or didn't need to bring.

I was interested in Events and Aventures' events that I could participate in. On the first event, I was nervous about meeting new people and seeing if I can fit in but it changed a bit when I started meeting a few other people, getting to know them and seeing them at various events. And I still see new faces every now and then. I went to five events last month and I’m going to go to two this month. I did trampoline dodgeball, the Dave & Buster’s event, salsa dancing lessons and a hiking trip up to Maisie's Peak. The hiking trip that we had on Stevens Creek was my favorite. Overall, my experience was fun and I've made new friends.

I wanted to get out more and do things that I’ve never experienced before, so I signed up for Events and Adventures. I arrived for my first event feeling nervous, but that changed very quickly because they were very welcoming. I joined two weeks ago and I've already been to four events. So far, my favorite is the shooting range and I’m going white water rafting next.

Events and Adventures has a variety of activities. And I like the fact that there were a couple of items every month that are on my bucket list. I like the zip lining the best and I like the curling a lot. Some of the events were really well organized, but some are bad. It depended on the host. If members are going to be hosts then there should be more training for the host. Because when the people who are from Events & Adventures were hosting an event, it's a lot more fun. They do a good job because they're trained on how to do it and what to do, whereas you throw somebody in there who's just a member, they generally don't do anything. They just host it, make sure everybody finds a place and that's pretty much it. Less than half of the events I’ve been to weren't as well organized and if you went to a bar and started talking to people you'd accomplish the same thing.
Meeting people and going to events is not something that's new to me, I do that for a living. So it's something that's second nature to me. I made a suggestion in the past that they could make more of an effort to introduce people, to make sure that everybody meets and make an introduction. I went to many events and never really got to meet other people that were at the event. They go up to their own groups or their own teams. That'd be a perfect opportunity for the host to say, "Okay, let's just do a quick introduction." And if there's a new member there, let that person say a few words if they want, just to break the ice. Because so many times you go there and you get people that don't know each other. You're not going to get to know anyone more than the people who are in the group you're in. Which is usually great to get to know those people but you don't get to know the whole group.
The people are really easy to hang out with. Everybody is very inclusive that way. So if you're sitting around after zip lining, you got to know the group. Some of those people are Facebook friends because you spent the day with them. We had a great time and I would go again because I never went to an event and didn't meet people and have a good time. But you had to do it yourself and a lot of people sometimes would just disappear early or never mingle. So they just came, did the event and left. Whereas some of the people who are more social like me, we'd stick around and just chit chat for a while after the event.
They were encouraging us to give any ideas for what would be fun events and adventures. There was one in particular that I sent in writing and gave them all the contact information. I never heard anything back. Events & Adventures is a great concept. The problem is, I've met somebody on eHarmony and they're not into it. So I haven't been to anything for a couple months. And right now, I don't see anything in the offering that's interesting. I was going to three events a week for the first month and then I haven't been to anything since. I probably wouldn't do it again. I've forked out $3,000 for it and I did it for a month. I did a permanent membership, so I've got it for a lifetime and until I get married.

My friends are getting girlfriends and no one really wanted to go out anymore, so I thought I’d give Events & Adventures a try. I was nervous on my first event, I didn’t know what to expect. But I’ve been attending two events in a week for a year now, and of those I’ve attended, I like the New Year’s trip the most. The river rafting and the Harrison Hot Springs event were fun as well. I’ll be going to the Canada Day. I’ve been to so many events, I took advantage of the opportunity since I paid so much money for it. I’ve made friends that I keep in contact with and I also found a girlfriend. When I signed up I thought there would be more people that were at my level. But I noticed when I joined that there's a whole different type of people and some of them are very anti-social.
Another thing is their website sucks. When you sign up for an event that is already full, you get put on a waiting list but instead of asking you if you could still make it they automatically sign you up for that event. In six situations I wouldn't be able to make it because I had made other plans. So I would have to call and go through this whole process to get things changed because I couldn't make it. There was no confirmation if you're still interested even after the wait listing. Also, trying to find the calendar is terrible, and it's so hard to navigate with your phone, there is no app for it. The website definitely needs a huge upgrade. But overall, my experience with Events and Adventures has been great.

Events & Adventures has an event every month that I get to go to and have fun. I wasn’t sure what to expect and it was like a different experience that I had. I was excited to go to the first event, which was in an aquarium. It was good and more exciting since I haven’t been to that aquarium and mostly, not after dark. Until now, I have attended almost six events per month. I've attended the house boating trip, which was my favorite, and it was really fun. I’ve been to a circus thing and got an opportunity to do a trampoline. I’m also going to the river rafting this weekend. It's too exciting to do different events and I've made quite a few friends. I will recommend Events and Adventures to a friend.

I joined mainly to meet new people, see if I have similar interests with other people, make friends, try to find places to be able to go out with other adults and just have fun and relax. The first event I went to, the brunch, was awesome. The host, Allison, was really great. She made it easy to blend and also still get to know everybody, not to feel like the outsider. I arrived late but she helped take that tension off. I was able to still find some people I had common things to talk about and it wasn’t like being put on the spot. So far, I’ve done more than three events. Aside from the brunch, I did the young people's meet, the food truck, and the pub crawl.
My favorite event was the young professionals’ meet and greet. It had more people that were within my age group, so I didn’t have to feel super awkward. It was just a group meeting, getting to see where everybody there lived or share some experiences. That was very open because it was just more of us sitting down and talking. Even though I know everybody was in their groups and moved about, it seems like it was well-put together and everybody just ended up messing really well.
But there aren’t enough guys to go around and I’ve heard horror stories about hook-ups, so I stir away from finding a significant other. In most of the events, everybody wants to be friends and get to know everybody that way. So it doesn’t really seem like most of the guys were even there for any type of relationship sort of vibe. I have made some really cool friends and overall, with the way people are meeting nowadays, it’s a unique experience, a little old school but definitely something different.

I’m not really happy with Events & Adventures. The advertisement was misrepresented. There is no trial period, which is ridiculous. For a few months, you have to pay the whole sum upfront. You have to commit without knowing what you’re doing. The financial part is really ridiculous and it feels like a scam. They’re trying to sell you a package of a year right ahead and you have to pay for it. You can’t just pay for a month and so I paid for six months, instead of a year. I didn’t want to take a year because it was too much for me.
They say Events and Adventures is a club for singles but basically, it’s a club for friends. There are singles and there are couples as well. They show you a picture with models, but when I come there, it’s nothing of that sort. I see regular people like me. So instead of using model pictures, they should have real events that have happened. I come there to meet a potential partner, so I’m not interested in making friends. But I have the same chances as meeting people in the street or at work. I don’t have to pay money for that.
They advertise that when you go there, you have a potential to get a partner, but the chances are really low. They claim to have 4,000 members in Vancouver but they’re not really. I saw 20 in total, in five events. They might have that many members but they’re dormant. They’re considered members but they’re not attending the events. It’s lifetime membership sort of thing. And because I got really disappointed at the whole situation, I don’t go there too often now. I didn’t enjoy as much as I could have. For people who just want to make friends, Events & Adventures is good. But for people who are looking specifically for a partner, this is not worth it.

I first heard of Events and Adventures on the radio and what interested me was the fact that they go outside, hiking, bowling and all that fun outdoor stuff that I love to do. I work a lot and I really don’t have time to go out much, but when I do, I hate going by myself. Events and Adventures gives me places to go where there's other people. I just look it up and say, “Oh, that looks like fun,” then I go do it. This has gotten me out of the house and doing things, which is something I needed. It's been wonderful. So far, I've only attended four and I loved going on the hikes. I’ve also done laser tag a few weeks ago, as well as hiking and bowling. I’ve been having a great time. I’ve made a couple of friends too, several girls and a couple of great guys. But I’m out there just as friends and nothing serious. I’m not yet ready for that, but it’s all good. The experience has been great.

I had known Events and Adventures for several years but when I first heard about them, I didn’t really have much interest in it. I had been doing my own thing. But then I felt like trying stuff, so I looked for other things to do. At Events and Adventures, I can easily find five to 10 events a month that I’d be interested in doing. I did salsa dancing a few weeks ago and that was fun. The escape room was definitely a blast as well. I’ve also done the game night and the new member orientation. Plus, I had a great time at Scarborough Fair. I have enjoyed the events that I’ve attended, although I’ve been super busy lately and it’s hard for me to get places in the evenings.
People are so nervous the first time you meet them though. Friendships are best developed mutually, being in the same vicinity with a common goal with people, and it's weird to try to force the idea. I just haven't been a member long enough or active enough, otherwise I could run around and then run into the same people. Then it'll happen and I definitely feel that I can be friends with some of the people I've met. Overall, everything’s been fantastic and I couldn’t ask for more.
