Did not take too long for my call to be answered. Tech rep was very courteous and got to work on issue straight away. He was clear in explaining what he was doing and the instructions he gave to me to follow. At the moment I do not know if problem has been solved (time will tell) but tech was very helpful - thank you. Based on this experience I will be renewing my subscription for computer protection.

My computer was locked and I could not get onto a website. Mr. Daniel **, was professional and patient enough to talk me thru the necessary steps in order to solve the problem. Also, he answered all my question concerning computer security issues. I am very grateful.

Taylor was very helpful. I appreciate his hard work. It took a long time to update my computer, but hopefully I have Total Defense coverage now. I paid for coverage, but my computer said my coverage had expired. He understood and helped me fix everything.

I talked to a gentleman named Taylor ** who was so very helpful. He was very polite and helped me thru the whole process of renewing my subscription. I got a message that said to call a # to get my computer unlocked. I tried turning off and turning on but that didn't work so I called Total Defense and Daniel ** walked me through to the virtual assistant and he fixed the issue in a minute. Thank you Daniel.

A download called REIMAGE was interfering with computer and this was erased from computer. A string was being filtered and blocking use of a website. The agent tried a number of things to resolve the problem. Finally, Total Defense Security Suite was reinstalled and the problem was resolved. Excellent customer service. Thank you for your time and help.

I had a problem that my virus protection wasn't working. He walked me through a couple of steps & it fixed the problem. He was very kind talking & highly recommand him. Received a pop-up msg stating that my Total Defense Anti Virus was off. Daniel ** took the necessary action to get it back in operation. He was very knowledgeable and concerned to my needs. I am not computer literate as you can tell and having difficulty explaining to Dan what I was seeing on the screen, he was still able to rectify the problem.

I found in with a temporary problem. They thought out side the box and helped me keep my service when I didn't have the funds to pay for the service and allowed me to keep the service until I could. Beside that the service itself is the best.

Resetting password, requiring an adjustment. When I clicked on "Forgot password" the new temporary password did not work, even when I blocked, cut, and pasted it.. So the agent accessed my computer and solved the problem. He grasped the issue and resolved it immediately, and was pleasant to work with.

A problem arose with the Total Defense when scanning, and then Taylor found that there was an update needed from Windows 10, which was done. Now the TD is working fine. Taylor took control of the computer and worked through whole issue successfully. His help and attitude were great!!! Thank you!!!

Had trouble converting my new subscription. It was a surprisingly simple fix that, in hindsight, I probably could have googled. But taylor was professional and kind and solved my problem quickly. This is very sad that I can not get in touch with a Tech after 6pm. I live in Houston Texas my time zone is different than yours. I am on my job when you at home and when I am traveling home from work you are at home. From Monday to Friday I do this. This is becoming a issue because I need to be home with the computer before 1 of your Tech to help correct the problem with my anti virus signature you are closes on the weekend. It will not update. I even had my wife to stay home on Thursday 9/12/2019 to talk to a Tech to correct the problem. So tell me what can I do, continue with the service or find another company?

Called first time and spoke to Daniel ** who was very helpful in understanding my problem, activating the Total Defense. He then emailed me the instructions on what to do, but when I logged on it was telling me I already had an account set up so when I entered the information it wasn't taking my password. I called back again today and spoke to Taylor and again explained to him what was happening. He walked through the activation process with me, changed my password and I was able to proceed with the activation so as I could receive my rebate check. These gentlemen were super helpful in understanding my predicament and did not hesitate to assist me with this issue. Kudos to them.

Taylor helped me fix a problem with the install and a chance of double billing issue without having lots of issues later on. :) Had him stay on the phone even though he almost wanted to end the call but he did. The down took 3 tries, but number 3 worked just fine. Each of the techs were cordial and friendly. They knew their jobs, my computer just didn't want to cooperate. Tech #three manually took control of my computer and finished the download.

Total Defense provided by Mediacom for my Mac expired. I reinstalled it but when I entered activation code it said it was already in use. Called Total Defense support and Daniel ** quickly and efficiently reinstalled an activated the Total Defense package. Daniel was quite the opposite of the stereotypical helpline staff. Have had Total Defense a few years with perfect coverage. Bought a new PC and thought it was automatically covered (am 85 yrs of age). When I finally contacted TD was way out out of date for updates. When I was checked my computer after the scan this missing. It was showing that something wasn't scanning correctly so I called and Taylor ** helped me and got it running the way it had previously. I could not activate a newly downloaded version of PC Tune-Up that I had gotten from Staples. I struggled for several days to activate the account and ended up going in circles. We were having challenges removing Norton from our computer. Lori provided assistance with finding the uninstaller however there were hidden files that Dan found and then helped to remove Norton. They both provided assistance with installing and activating Internet Security Suite through Mediacom onto our computer. They both helped make a frustrating experience much better.

We've had Total Defense about a year now for my husband's PC and have been very satisfied. Recent problems made me want to add my Mac to our account. My update crashed before finishing. When I tried reinstalling I ran into all kinds of issues with it not finishing and getting stuck in an endless cycle of reboots. Lori remoted in to my laptop and ran some sort of cleaner and was then able to install everything correctly.

Lost Total Defense program. 3 technical assistance and cpu is no better than it was before I called. I have no protection on my cpu for two days. The last tech was to call me back and I have received no call. He left my unit online for several hours with no protection. If this is service I need another vendor!

I renewed my annual subscription of Premium Internet Security for $79.99, but I noticed the discounted price ($59.99) that was being offered on the website. I used the online Chat to ask about the possible $20 refund, and Taylor ** immediate responded and addressed the request. There was no hassle, wait time, etc, and the process was convenient. Thank you for your customer service! On a related note... I know the pricing/discounts/offers are outside of Support Team's realm and the timing may not align with the users, but it would be beneficial to the customers if it's already calculated into the automatic renewal when applicable. I got a new laptop June 1st or so and tech at Staples loaded a new Total Defense account for me in the new computer... using a new Hotmail e-mail address the tech got for me. My old account comes up for renewal soon, so I called to explain that that computer and account is no more, and the tech was so efficient that he asked if new account was under a different e-mail address I knew Staples tech had to give me a Hotmail account (Microsoft owns Hotmail) in order to get my new computer up and running. So, I gave Daniel that e-mail address, and he found it, and he will give my new account my Comcast e-mail address, like I want, rather than the Hotmail address, which I am having some problems with. (I know this is more info than you need. Sorry.) Anyway, Daniel was great and really knew what he was doing.

The gentleman was very helpful and courteous. He was very good at getting into my computer. He had to do pretty much everything because I am totally technology challenged. I was pleasantly surprised at the willingness of the gentleman to help.

When I first installed Total Defense for my Desktop PC I first had some doubts of the protection I would get after all the other brands I have had in the past. But I have to say I fear nothing now knowing my computer is protected and safe. With all the hacking going on and experience of having a computer in the past being hacked by seven different people. I feel 100% safe now and I recommend it to all I know. Thank You for your service!

Taylor was very patient, polite and very thorough in giving instructions on installing my new device. He made sure to ask if I needed anything else. He also returned my phone call in a timely matter. I would highly recommend him to my friends and family.

The support that I was provided was excellent. The representative was very knowledgeable of what he was doing. I was having a lot of trouble installing my security software but Mr. Carlos ** did everything for me from start to finish. He made sure my computer was protected. Great service! Excellent, quick, courteous service! First he accessed Team-Viewer. Dan, then extracted McAfee software & then quickly installed Total Defense, in the blink of an eye! He then explained to me, how to use Total Defense. :) Thank you for the quick, most courteous response! Thank you!

5/30 4:00PM When I tried to install software, it gave Error:1168 and I could not proceed. Dan helped tremendously! He removed McAfee and worked his magic, installing the software on the desktop, for easy access. He was super courteous and efficient!

I received my Total Defense from Mediacom. I am elderly and not very good with computers. Mediacom said that I could contact total defense support for help. I was very happy with your tech Gary. He was very very patient with me and helped me get protected. I will let everyone know about my positive experience.

I have been a subscriber of Total Defense since 2015. During this time, I have contacted tech support only 2 times. The phones have been answered promptly and with very courteous techs. Today, I had the pleasure of working with Carlos **. He was very responsive and qualified to handle my request in a professional manner. I highly recommend Carlos and the team at Total Defense.

I had nothing but problems with McAfee. They have the worst customer service and they make you wait on hold forever. Previously I had Norton and they were even worse. I purchased Total Defense Unlimited from Brandsmart and so far I have been very happy with the product and the level of service. Gary was very friendly and polite when I called for help. I will continue to use your product.

The service I was provided today was excellent and very helpful. I was desperate to have my protection installed on my Mac and Carlos helped me out 100%. He guided me through every step and my protection was installed successfully. We were able to speak my native language which is Spanish and he was great. Thank you so much!

I am a new customer. I purchased my software from Conns. I was trying to install my software and receiving error messages and warnings. For some reason, I was unable to remove the Mcafee. Gary was able to take over and remove the McAfee on my PC. Then he installed my Ultimate product. Very happy camper.

Yes I would just like to say that upon my contacting Total Defense I was connected with GARY. I explained my situation to him. He was very patient & attentive listened to my description of my situation until I was finished. Then he replied as I returned the courtesy and listened to him. He explained to me what he had to do to resolve the situation, instructed me as to what I had to do so that he could take care of the problem so when I finished my part GARY took over, did his thing and sure enough the problem was solved. I was very satisfied with his time & patience with me and would be very glad to recommend his services to other customers that ask for references as to what kind of program should they choose for their computer. THANK YOU SO MUCH GARY. YOU SURE ARE APPRECIATED.

Gary did a great job. He knew exactly the problem and fixed it. Thank you very much for the help. He got inside my computer, figured out the problem and did a complete reinstall. Now the scan is running and seems to be working fine.

I had spoken with Carlos ** earlier, but needed additional help. When I called back, I spoke with Taylor. I mentioned in my review re Carlos, it is likely evident that I have limited computer knowledge and am in the older set of your users. After a short time of trying to help, Taylor began asking me to perform different maneuvers on my computer. Only when I asked, "Are you getting me to allow you to "dial in" to my computer?".... did he say yes. Clearly neither of us knew what the problem was but he lacked patience in working with me to resolve. I opted out of the call and called back and asked for Carlos ** to help. Carlos continued to help me until the problem was fixed. Taylor was not unpleasant in any way, but Carlos represented your company in a very helpful way that restored my confidence in Total Defense (I was unaware that I was using an outdated version that wasn't working properly).

Excellent service from the beginning. Realize how inept I was with my computer skills. They were extremely helpful. Installation went smooth after they remoted in. Also helped claiming my rebate. I would refer this service to my friends and family.

Updated on 05/27/2020: I had a pleasant call with Laurie today and she helped me with confirming my payment due next month. The antivirus protection with Total Defense has been excellent for my computer. The customer service on the phone was very good and I feel she helped me with my questions.
Original Review: Dan was very helpful and changing my credit card information for my Total Defense package. He did a great job. He answered my questions and was very good at letting me know about my anti virus package. I would give him a good recommendation.

After I downloaded and activated the file, I was told my account was expired 708 days. Called your support line and Taylor worked with my computer to clear up the error. Now I have to work on my second computer. Fingers crossed!

Could not hook up printer. Infection in network. They went into computer and took care of four threats and some viruses. Mr. ** went through both laptops and cleaned them up. Thanks again for everything. Hopefully I can hook my printer up now.

I contacted by email and a follow up phone call and got connected to Dan **. I further explained my problem and things I did not understand like pressing fix now in one section would create an outcome in 3 others and how come it backed up all my files to the cloud. At this point Dan asked me a few questions and from that he was able to tell me about this new suite, upgraded 1week ago and all things relevant to keeping our computer safe and importantly how to access the cloud if need be. I went from a guy in panic to feeling soothed by his ability, the way he went about explaining things with his very calming approach. This guy is an absolute asset to you as he was to me in attending to our concerns. Thanks Dan and Total Defense 10 plus years with you. An Email a phone call and all fixed in 10 minutes and we are in Melbourne Australia. Thank you all Billie **.

I had to reset my computer to factory settings. I called to have my Total Defense reinstalled. There was no waiting on hold. I got right through and spoke to Gary. He was able to reinstall my software in no time. Very impressed with your service. I wish all companies were this efficient.

Daniel ** was a great help. I could not renew online so I had to call in. When I told Daniel what I wanted, he told me that it was not the same plan that I was renewing. The one I had prior was only going to be $29.99. This was $50.00 less. This saved me and gave me a discount so I really really appreciate it. Thank You for your help. Thank You for your product.

I recently purchased an new Unlimited subscription, but I was still receiving messages on my screen that I needed to renew my subscription. I found this to be confusing. Problems Activating Subscriptions - Worked with tech support Taylor **. He re-installed the virus software and activated it on our laptop (ELLEMIKE). He also had to un-install and clean up the TD virus software on our desktop (OWNER-HP) and re-install the virus software. Very professional and efficient.

Dan,"the man" helped me a great deal. He helped me through the renewal process as I ran from the phone to my computer. I found him very knowledgeable and patient. As an old man I need patience. I don't have a cell phone so he had to direct me as I ran from computer to phone.

I have been a loyal Total Defense customer. I had a special offer to renew my Unlimited subscription for 2 years. I tried to renew it on my own, but I was not successful. I am not very computer savvy. I was able to call in for support after locating your number on the website. Gary was able to help me get my renewal done and he also installed a newer version of the product, since I was running an older version. Great help was provided to me.
