This is by far the most difficult software to install and activate. After 2- 1 hour calls with customer service, I requested a refund. 4 days of working on install and no resolution. I have never been so frustrated with software support as I am with Bitdefender.

I was having trouble with logging in with 2fa as I had forgotten to change my old email so I was unable to get my code to complete logging in. I wanted to update all my information but had no way of doing it without logging in so I contact support. Twice in two days I had the same conversation with two different reps on my issue. The first was someone named George. He was supposed to switch my account to my new email and send me an email with all I needed to get it done. The email was never received. The second conversation was with Deborah whom I explained several times why I was not able to log in then not ten minutes later asked me again why I could not connect then disconnected me when I asked if I was speaking to the same person. I was trying my best to be polite but really.
Finally I resolved my issue by managing to switch my account to my new email - so maybe George did switch it but...on my pc I always had Bitdefender active and it showed it would renew in 72 days but being unable to tell which credit card I used and no receipt I was not able to prove my purchase (my own fault). Both reps had my info after giving my name and old phone number but would not do anything unless I gave the information and I explained again I did not have it. I told them where I bought it but anyway. When I switched accounts it said my account was expired so I bought a new one. I hope my old account will not renew automatically. I will lock my card.

I set Bitdefender to renew via credit card. They subcontract their invoicing to 2checkout. On the renewal date, 2checkout submitted the renewal charge but also several charges for $0.00, which triggered a fraud alert, so a hold was placed on the card and it couldn't be used. Took several hours on the phone to resolve.

I purchased Bitdefender Ultimate Security several months ago. Not only did they just renew my subscription, my computer and cell were hacked and everything is messed up and I can access many sites, for instance I can't get into my Amazon account, a different account shows up under my name. I wanted to return an item and it shows I haven't ordered anything in 2024,23,22 etc. It did not provide the security that the subscription said it would.

Bought a 3-year family pack only to have them replace the only feature for which I bought their product (Wallet) for a separate pay product (password manager). I still had over 2 years left on licenses. Seems an illegal practice, but they reserve the right to change whatever they want whenever they want, so their license agreement is worthless. I am uninstalling early (still have approx. 3/4 year left) and FOREVER. As a corporate and industrial cybersecurity professional I have been and will continue to INFLUENCE everybody I ever interact with that this company MUST BE AVOIDED AND FOR THEM TO SPREAD THE WORD.

I went to cancel my subscription before it renews, and during the automated process my reason was "Too Expensive". I was then offered the option to renew it for only $54 for the year. I accepted this offer and made the payment... but I was charged the FULL $99 + tax instead of the special offer of $54!!! I contacted customer support and they said they need to escalate this to a different department and I MAY hear back from them today.... This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE, and now I am done with this company forever! I am going to call the bank and initiate a charge-back.

The UI is poor, but that's ok. The app hasn't found one virus, but that's ok. When I tried to cancel my auto renewal Bitdefender couldn't find any of my info. Their solution was a screen shot of the purchase, or I could sent them my CC info by email! Email my CC info, from a security app! Big surprise they can't find my info now. They email me ads every week, but they can't find my info?

Bitdefender betrayed my trust. I don't feel safe; they have all my personal info and CC numbers.... I do not want your services. Return my money. You just keep charging....94.99 -59.99 -49.99... They know most of us do not have the time to track, call and dispute the charges, and credit card companies only accept dispute for 60 days. I spent hours to call my CC, then CC processing company then Bitdefender....I did not get any results. I could only dispute 29 dollar.... Shame on you Bitdefender. I need to buy another software to protect me from you....

The product itself is probably fine. I had it for a year and didn't want to renew because of the constant pop ups they sent every day trying to sell me other products. After a lot of work I was able to cancel and the gentleman explained he could get rid of the pop ups. I cancelled and they sent me a half off email so I renewed for a second year. I started calling them to get rid of the pop ups. Long waits for a Bitdefender rep to get to the phone. I explained what I wanted and the rep hung up. The only thing that is easy to do is buy more product. They are very good at that. Sooo, if you want to be spammed to death, have long waits on the phone and get hung up on, go for it. They are a pain in the butt.

This app has been a constant source of problems. Several sites don't work properly, including Microsoft Outlook mail. They don't seem to be properly testing this app before making changes to it, and that creates chaos. No one to call if you have a problem; everything is through email. Rather than them actually solving a problem, they send lengthy, confusing articles for you to DIY. They expect you to do their job.

The service is great and they have definitely worked on customer service in the last few years. It used to be impossible to contact anyone there but now it takes 15 minutes which I appreciate talking to a human, sorry just wanted to add that I think it extremely important myself. I have 32Gbs of RAM, a 3090 Nvidia, and a 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-11900KF at 3.50GHz 3.40 GHz. So I have a beefy computer and it uses about 20% of my ram and 5% of my CPU so if you have a computer from 6-8 years ago this program isn't going to work for you unless the only thing you're doing is googling. I also says make sure you turn off auto-renewal or they will auto-recharge you. Overall if you have a newish computer Bitdefender ranks the best at its job to protect your computer with human customer service.

I have always loved and backed this product, but not anymore. Not worth the money, even with the most modern PC or Laptop. You will need a huge amount of RAM to run it without it taking the majority of your system resources. These Influencers on social media and YouTube are paid agents, that do not give you the truth. NOT WORTH THE EXTREME AMOUNT OF MONEY.
This product causes:
Failed Windows 10 & 11 updates constantly.
Failed Legitimate Program installs.
Failed windows 10 and 11 system restores!
I know because when I turn it off, these things immediately stop happening and proceed correctly. It protects in a manner that is dangerous and damaging for everyday use. *** Product takes 40% to 54% of my 8 GB of ram. So many complaints to the company on many forums and they do nothing about it, or will not refund your money. *** On my best PC with all bloatware removed and non-essential programs stopped - with 64GB of ram and a 16 core Processor - it still takes 12% minimum of my RAM! *** Everyone is talking about this 2023 version – at least this is the version I just had and installed from BestBuy this month. I telling you, get something less resources hungry and cheaper.

Keeps disconnecting me on my android S22 Ultra. On my desktop windows 10 and 11, keeps blocking all my games from connecting to multiplayer. It is not completely anonymous. I bought 1 year subscription and I have not used it after 1 week. Split tunnel does not work, allowed program feature does not work. Trying to watch netflix from a different region? It does not work either. I would never purchase their overpriced VPN service ever again.

When it works, product is very good. But from October 2022 stop working. Service and tech department helpful and apologetic, but can not do anything. Offered free six month, of something that do not work at all. Never in my life I had a program, that I paid for, that end up waste of money. And obviously, no one want to give me money back. Made me stop believing in good reviews.

I am so annoyed with Bitdefender. Before purchasing, lots of reviews said it was good for Windows machines and that it rated highly. What they all conveniently failed to mention is how much it bogged down a Windows computer. So much so that my everyday tasks became daunting, time-consuming and inefficient. I emailed them. The reps - who can't really do much because it's a fundamental problem with the fundamental product - were cordial and kind enough. The product simply does not do a good job at balancing security with computer efficiency. And YES, I did un-toggle many of the features, but no difference in performance occurred. Bitdefender is one of the few purchases in my life that I have made only to later regret.

Bitdefender Anit-Virus functions as well as comparable anti-viruses. Nothing exceptional. It is support that is lacking in this company. Auto-generated emails are only useful if they pertain to the situation at hand. Bitdefender auto emails contain erroneous information in which one can only ascertain their true intent, if having knowledge of the procedures of this company. Much time I have wasted contacting this company to straighten out their messes caused by auto-generated emails.
They finally make a specific reply stating what their true intent was, which should have been stated in the first place in order to prevent miscommunication and more time wasted contacting them again and again. Their emails are from a non-monitored box and one must go online and log in in order to communicate each time. Common sense does not prevail here in that auto emails are not appropriate in every instance. Please get it together Bitdefender and put a little effort into your customer support.

NO STAR - Zero Review. Notified that my 2 year/10PC subscription expired today (it actually has 449 days left) and BD disabled all services. All machines unprotected now and no response from BD CS. I have been using this software for over 11 years and EVERY subscription has had issues. They conveniently delete your 'payments' from their central app and you have to work through your bank to find the payment to them. This often takes weeks, while your systems are idled. They conveniently delete previous subscription data (date/amount/id code) thereby erasing your renewal/paid subscription from their system - YOU have to prove you purchased their software from them.
Had I been an auto-renewal sucker, they would have renewed my subscription 15 months early. NEVER use auto renewal as you can buy software retail for 1/4-1/3 of the renewal price. I can now attempt to resolve this issue and idle all of my systems for 4-8 weeks or purchase a reputable software package, delete BD TS & VPN and move on. No one can afford to be down for months. Save yourself the grief and purchase another product.

I am a majorly ticked off customer. Just got pinged for $151.00 by these jerks. Checked and they have me subscribed for three different versions of Bitdefender in a two person home. Checked my records and they charged me an additional $49.00 last year. They warned me my subscription was expiring. I believed them, because I "opted out of auto-renew." I even discussed the matter over the phone. OBVIOUSLY, the only way to opt out of Bitdefender is to treat them like an attack on your card and cancel it. When a virus program acts like what you're trying to defend against, are they really an anti-virus program? Avoid them, unless you want the prices to MORE THAN double and to be billed for product to which you did not subscribe.

No matter what $25 or $35 deal you get for 1 year with 5 devices for total protection antivirus internet etc. YOU WILL BE CHARGED $95 upon yearly renewal. It took me chatting 3 x to them, and each time they said they would send me an email and they would follow up with reply. NOPE! I had to chat with them 3x and now it was 7 days since they took my money. Finally said they would issue a refund, and I would get it back in 5 days. SO a total of 12 days. They are very irresponsible with refunds. And since they are not based in the USA you can't do much. Bitdefender is a good virus malware program but buy it on eBay or Amazon without subscription renewal. Without warning $95 was missing from account. No courtesy email, nothing.

This is one of the worst nightmare piece of antivirus software we have ever purchased.
(1) Installation on multiple computers (purchased a 5 PC license) a horror. The company will NOT, not even on request, give you the link to the full download. You only get a starter mini package and then have to repetitively download over and over again the full 500+MB package. Good luck when your company has 100+ machines to cover... I had to research the user forum to find the link to the complete download package - So facit: It is available, but the company are unwilling to share - ZERO stars!
(2) But it gets is worse: After about one week the software was detecting a thread in one of our Chrome browser tabs and froze up, leaving a white or black field on the screen to make it impossible to operate the PC any further. A reboot did not help, after the thread was discovered again, Bitdefender software crashed again and blocked the PC. No help was offered from Bitdefender, Refund was not offered, even the suggestion to make a donation to the Ukraine was refused.
Summary: Horrible company, incompetent customer service and NOT working anitvirus software! Stay away, not waste your $$$, purchase the much better and way more reliable competitor software (McAf...).

Stick with the facts (06-May-22). I have email Bitdefender about payment and change to 4 company's account details. I got advice to send through details which was already include into the email send (auto response likely) I have used more than one email to get little to no service. I waited 2 weeks for a response only to find that they request order details which as already include in the email send. I was unable to renew after 2 weeks of emails, some emails just got response that request was complete with no action taken by Bitdefender support. Be warned. (I a Bitdefender client for the last 8 year and have never experience this lack of service in my life) I work in the IT Department.

The Internet Security platform is solid and usually functions as designed. HOWEVER, when problems arise, getting anything but 20 min hold times and disconnections from customer service is the norm. After being on hold for the third time for 18 minutes and being cut off again, and after dealing with contact screens that simply freeze and activation login links that eternally state that the `server could not be reached', we spent just under two hours attempting to reinstall the program. Not sure about anyone else, but when a product fails to operate as hyped and requires hours of end-user effort to get it back up and working, it makes me want to bill the seller for those wasted hours.

I picked up Bitdefender when my router was having an issue with some sort of worm, to make sure nothing from that got into my files. Since then, I have been bombarded with pop-up after pop-up, pings and alerts for hypothetical problems I could have, and the software I should buy to prevent it. 2-4x a day this thing will advertise a service, the window appearing in front of whatever I'm doing, to sell me more of itself. I regret ever spending money on Bitdefender. Do not buy this malware disguised as protection for your computer. I haven't used the mobile app, but I can't imagine it's any less intrusive.

I tend to evaluate new products for my desktop especially when they're not FREE. The BitDefender product looked like a great product for Virus protection so I bought into it. The company also had a number of other products they wanted me to purchase, but I declined not knowing they would subsequently hit me up with daily popups for those same products. If I knew I was going to have to tolerate these daily annoyances I would have selected a different product. I will NOT renew my license to use BitDefender when my 1-year license expires.

The Bitdefender software crashed my laptop. I was no longer able to access public access files. Even after uninstalling the software on both systems (Mac 2021 MacBook Pro and a 2020 iMac), I still cannot access anything on my iMac. I have found remnants of their software in various areas. Deleting that has still not fixed the issue. Tech support has been worthless and with a bad attitude as well. I have yet to find a way to leave a review on THEIR website. I will now have to reformat my hard drive and do a complete reinstall of the Macros as well as my programs and data in order to resolve this issue. What a nightmare!!! DO NOT BUY THIS SOFTWARE!!
