I signed a two year contract in July 2008 based off of a map of coverage. When I tried to use my phone in an area that was supposed to have coverage - there is NO coverage. The map and three employees at T-Mobile ensured me there was coverage in that area.
I asked to change my contract down to one year giving them the benefit of the doubt and wanting to wait one year to see if coverage increased. NO ONE at T-Mobile can help me. I spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone trying to get through to someone and received the same story. I noticed many complaints on-line for promised coverage for this company and they also didn't receive their coverage. Now I want out of the contract completely because of false information that they provided when signing up for the service.
I cannot use my phone in this area. This is something they said I would have when I signed the contract. I am stuck in a two year contract that will cost me $200 to get out of for a phone that I cannot use in this area.

I started my T-Mobile service in January of 2008. I have had 5 cellular phones, two by choice. I had one I received at activation but soon upgraded to the Samsung SGH-T429. I have personally had 4 of these phones since upgrading to it and my son, who shares the plan with me, has had 3 of these same Samsung SGH-T429 cellular telephones. They continuously reboot, no matter if I am on a phone call, using the text messaging, or using the web feature. All seven phones have done the same thing. My son's phone even blocks the same websites I sent him after locating them, even though we do not have web guard on them.
We have been told repeatedly we cannot get a different telephone until we have met certain criteria, but we are not given that information as the company does not want us to defraud them. Now, we have been told as of August 11, 2008 that we can get a different phone if the most recent ones we received last week go bad. So far mine has gone bad! Now I am being told that I don't meet all the criteria to get a different brand of telephone!!
The consequences of these issues is that both I and my son have lost potential jobs as the phone either shut off during a telephone interview on my part, or because his phone would not work and he missed calls from a potential job he was hoping to get. Another consequence is that we are paying a large sum of money for service that we cannot use, thus hurting me when I could be using that money somewhere else.

I recently changed from T-Mobile to Cellular South for better service. Cellular South had a promotion going that would pay the early Termination fees, which in my case is $400 for two lines. I sent the bill indicating the late termination fees to Cellular South, but I must have sent the wrong thing, or it was lost on their end. I can not find that particular bill now.
For 3 weeks I have been calling and emailing T-Mobile for a duplice copy of the bill, OR IN THE ALTERNATIVE, a statement that the early termination fee was charged and paid. They are saying that a closed account can not be accessed in that way. Apparently no one knows how to write a letter indicating the late termination fee. Cellular South won't accept the bill that shows the $400 that was paid because it doesn't have the magic words EARLY TERMINATION FEE.
$400 due to me from Cellular South.

DO NOT use T-Mobile if you want to travel outside the US or get any kind of customer service. I was charged for call back to the US totaling over $300 for calls I never made. When I tried to talk to T-Mobile, they were rude and inaccurate in their information. They were unwilling to accept that there is some glitch in their system that caused these erroneous calls.

In the middle of June 2008, I purchased a Sidekick Slide cell phone from T-Mobile. The phone had problems, so I contacted T-Mobile, and after hours of not finding ways to fix the phone, I was told by the customer service person to send the phone back to the company. She asked me how would I be sending it back, and I told her US Postal service. She told me okay, but make sure I receive delivery conformation. During our earlier conversation, she did tell me it was my responsiblity to send it back.
On June 26, 2008, I did send the phone back per her instructions, with delivery comfirmation. I found out almost a month later the package never got to it's destination. I called T-Mobile, and they told me that I'm still responsible for the phone, although I returned it as per the instructions I received. I tracked the package from Vidalia, LA, where I delivered it, to Jackson, MS. I was then processed in Jackson, MS, and supposely left Jackson, MS, and disappeared. I contacted the Postal service and they gave me no help, and when I sent a complaint to the Inspector General Office, They transfered me to four different departments, and when I finally reached someone who could possibly help me, she tells me her computer is down call back later.
I then called T-Mobile again, complaining about having to pay for a phone I don't have, and also the upgrade. The customer service rep. I talked to seem to want to help me, and told me that T-Mobile would be taking this problem out of my hands, and would be getting in touch with the US Postal service, and making them responsible for the phone, since they accepted the phone from me. But now I find out when talking to another Rep a week and a half later, that I was lied to. T-Mobile had no intention of helping me, nor the US Postal Service.
If the phone isn't found by the USPS, T-Mobile will make me pay over $280 dollars for the phone, upgrade, and the taxes. I don't have the money, nor is it fair that I have to pay for what was not my fault based on the instructions, I received.

I bought a sidekick LX which had problems since the day received in NOV 2007. The battery life was 6-8 hours. Lastest problem was wouldnt shut off, and charge only lasted 30 minutes. I purchased the insuance they suggested, being told the phone would be replaced if it was defective, within one year. I was told by a salesman at a T-Mobile store I was going to have to pay a $110 deductible for a new phone, mine is 9 months old. I talked to 5 people at T-Moble, a few which told me their DS was rated the highest in cell phone companies according JD Power and Assoc. I guess I got the wrong people, several times over today.
I was also told that I had to be calling on a phone other than my sidekick for them to run the diagnostics. When got to Henry, the sidekick specialist, he immediately determinded it was my battery, and guess what? The batteries are only under warranty for 3 months. SURPRISE! Henry also told me it was unnecessary for me to get on another phone, despite what the OTHER FOUR T-Mobile personnel had insisted. Hen NEVER ran any type of diagnostics, he is clarivoyant and determined it was all a problem with my battery, and so I was going to have to PAY more money to get THEIR highly touted product to even work.
I was given a number, rudely being told I was refusing to listen to Hnery tell me it was not T-Mobiles problem their product was not working, and they were NOT going to replace it, then he changed his story and said they would make an exception and replace the defective battery at no cost, by calling. When I called that number, and spoke with Stacey, she informed me they didnt sell any sidekick accessories, and wished T-Mobile would STOP referring people there.
Then I called T-Mobile back, and got a nice person initially. She asked to put me on hold. 23 minutes later a woman whose name I got was the rudest person yet I have spoken with. She was not going to replace my sidekick, even though it is in full warranty, I have to buy a new battery. I was mistaken and misunderstood anyone ever claiming T-Mobile would replace anything for free.
It is and was MY problem, she is doing nothing, can do nothing for me, too bad I wasted 23 minutes of my time on hold to get a hateful, rude, obnoxious woman who subsequently hung up on me. T-Mobile PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have recorded all my conversations, and PLEASE immediately terminate those persons whom so rudely represent your customer service. I was told various stories, various explanations and various reasons for the phone they sell was not working. I am sure as soon as the warranty runs out they are going to have a different reason.

May 5th 2008 I called to order new phones for my son and myself. This was the end of our contract and we are allowed to upgrade. I phoed in and talked to a representative about the various phones available telling him that I wanted good phones for a good price. He told me that if I renewed my family plan for another two years I could qualify for some deals that would get me very good phones for a great price after the $50.00 rebate on each phone. I told him that my finances were limited and I did not want to do the rebate thing if it would take too long. He told me that it was guaranteed to be to me within 4 to 6 weeks and in time to apply it to my cell phone bill. I received the phones, filled out the rebate forms online and sent them in the second week of May 2008.
After 6 weeks of not hearing anything I called customer care. They told me the rebates had not been processed yet but to call back in a week or 2. I called back and was told that the rebates processed on July 3rd. After not receiving anything by the end of July I called again and was told that one processed on July 14th and I would receive it soon but they had no date for the other one, even though both had been submitted at the same time and I was told that both were processed on July 3rd. After receiving one of the rebates the first week og August I called to inquire about the other one again. I was told that it would process soon to call back.
I called back on August 13th and was told that not only had it not been processed I would have to resubmit it because the information was incorrect on the rebate form. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I told the supervisor that I had called many times over the past three months and was first told that it processes on July 3rd then I was told that it would be a few weeks now they were telling me that it would have to be resubmitted. I told the supervisor that I thought the original representative had misled me in telling me that I would receive the rebates in 4 - 6 weeks. Even the original rebate forms that I filled out and sent along with all of the required information said in plain type that it would take 4 -6 weeks.
Now we are going into more than 12 weeks and they are telling me that I have to resubmit the information because of an error. I asked her what the error was and she replied that the place of purchase listed on the rebate form was incorrect. I told her to hold on while I compare my copies of the invoice, shipping papers and rebate form. I told her that everything on the paperwork was accurate and how did she have incorrect info? She said that she just processed the new rebate but it would take another 4-6 weeks.
I told her that I had the feeling I would have to call again in 8 weeks to chase down the money rebate I was promised and I wanted them to apply a credit to my account. She said that they could not do that and that I would have to wait because of the error on the paperwork. I asked her to explain where she saw the error on the paperwork because I was looking at the exact paperwork myself and she hung up on me.
I am outraged that they would put me in a financial quandry. I had to pay for the new phones and the charges for renewing the contract, (which they did not tell me about when I ordered the phones or renewed the contract) UP FRONT that were upwards of $400.00. Here I sit with no power to force them to honor their end of the bargain. I have a feeling that I will be waiting forever for the rest of my rebate. I explained to many of the people that I talked to including the original sales rep that I would have just bought cheaper phones. I feel that I was lied to and railroaded into this deal that has cost me money for other bills.

My cell phone was stolen and over $300 worth of calls to Mexico were made. I have been a T-Mobile customer for 7 years and have never made a single international call, let alone to Mexico. However, T-Mobile would not even meet me half-way on the charges and I felt I had to cancel my service with them on principal alone. They then charged me a $200 early cancelation fee.
T-Mobile should be required by law to have a system in place (like the credit card companies do) that detects signs of fraud like a sudden barrage of international calls on an account that has never before called internationally.
Furthemore, T-Mobile should not be profiting from theft.
I am out almost $600 due to the call charges and the early cancelation fee.

On August 7th 2007, I joined TMOBILE. We have a Family plan with 3 lines. Originally we had 2 Razr's and a slider. My Razr on the 9th of Aug went to a white screen and was unusable for hours. I shoulod have known right then.
The slider, the display broke in a week, was replaced for free and the same thing happened. We then upgraded to a different phone that would have white screen issues, inability to answer the phone. We called and they recommened a different style, which was a poorer phone that what we had, it was sent back and replaced with the former model.
The Magenta Razr we purchsed has been replaced 4-5 times in a year for numerous reasons. White screen, won't hang up, turning itself off , circling, pretty much whatever you can think of. This Musicxpress, drops calls constantly provided you can even make the call. Doesn't send or receive text along with the other phones.
We have spent contless hours on teh phone with TMOBILE and have ended up getting refurbished phone after refurbished phone. The service department is horribly rude.Having to spend 10 to 15 dollars per phone for shipping is getting ridiculous. I understood that signing a contract for two years would have me with TMobile for that amount of time. However to have to extend your contract everytime you get a new phone in hopes it will work is a bit much and I will never get out of this deal and contimue to have horrible service and maybe have a phone that works.

my husband and I both have family plans, 2 months ago we talked to a rep about possibly shutting down one of the lines and moving the other lines to the one remaining family plan, we were told we could do this, then a month later we called back again, made sure we heard them correctly, again the same thing.
my son who is handicapped wanted his own plan off of the family plan, that way we would have an xtra line, we were told, because he doesnt have any credit, he would have to use the prepay menthod but we would be stuck with a $200 early termination fee, before that we talked to 3 other people who told us 3 different things.
T-Mobile is a rip off, read the fine print before you sign up for any type of family plan, they tricked us and now we are trapped with 2 plans paying nearly $500 a month! They also need to train their people better, the right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing.

I have been with T-Mobil for three years and my service consists of a family plan with two phones. My monthly bill is $196.00 plus tax. I have been having horrible connection problems, problems with people trying to call me number wherein it rings and then drops after two rings and I never get the call. This has been occuring on both phones. I made the complaint the first time last week and was supposed to ge a follow-up call but never did.
I then called back again, still no follow-up call and the problem is still occurring. Then I requested a supervisor, got hung up on and treated as if I were of no importance to them. They, in my opinion, have the most horrible customer service with some of the most rude, uncaring people I have ever come across. In addition, they have no qualms about putting a customer on hold for over 40 minutes and then hanging up the call. I would advise not using their service.
With all of the dropped and missed calls I have lost business and possible lost potential clients and income. The time I have spent on the phone has caused me emotional stress as well.

We decided to go with the new T Mobile at Home plan. Last Wednesday evening we hooked up the router box we purchased from them, but never did the blue light come on. We called their service department, sat on hold (no exaggeration) 2 hours and 10 minutes, and NEVER spoke with a service tech. I used my cellphone to call their customer service department, who then explained that the service department was backed up with called from customers who could not get their blue lights on as well. This was not looking good at all. After being transferred around the world and back, T Mobile gave us 300 bonus minutes for or inconvenience.
We immediately cancelled our at home service with them that night, and the next morning called AT& T to get back on with them. We were told, by T Mobile, to make sure we asked AT&T to request that the number be ported, in order to keep our same home phone number. I did as instructed. Since last Wednesday, we have not been able to receive incoming calls on our home phone, which means all home calls are now coming in on our cellphones, as people are unable to get in touch with us any other way.
I called AT&T this morning to follow up, was told they submitted the port request 2 days ago, they show our number is scheduled to be turned back on 8/15/08. They stated it was up to T Mobile to get the number ported back, and it was in their hands. This means that we have been unable to receive incoming calls since 7/30/08, and will not have incoming calls until 8/15/08? I would think that T Mobile would be willing, at this point, to go ABOVE and BEYOND the call of duty to get this taken care of. We've been T Mobile cellphone users for 3 years with no problems. However, their total mess up in this situation has really left a bad taste in our mouths. We don't want ANYTHING to do with them. We received our bonus minutes on the evening of 7/30/08. We're already into those minutes.
Although the new billing date begins on the 10th of August, we will be into our regular minutes, due to their inability to provide a program that truly works. Of course they were not willing to give any additional minutes, nor were they willing to let us out of our 2 year contract on our cellphones. They want our money, that's for sure.
We are hopeful that we don't end up going over on our cellphone minutes, which would lead to charging us by the minute. We simply think they should, in an attempt to restore our faith in them, waive our 2 year cellphone contract, and not FORCE us to pay a $200.00 cancellation fee to get them completely out of our lives.

I called Customer Care in April of 2008 because I vent over my minutes and wanted to change my plan to unlimited minutes text and everything else. I spoke to a kind representative that told me that I do not need to get that plan. Instead he offered to give me a plan with 1500 anytime minutes and t-mobile to t-mobile and 200 text msg's. He said that I mostly spoke with people who had t-mobile and this way I should never go over my minutes. I agreed to the change even though I was hesitant, my previous bills were over $300 dollars and I was scared that it would happen again.
Two months later I get a bill for $375 dollars. I know I did not talk to anyone but my friends who are also on T-mobile. So I call in to get this figured out. I immediately asked the representative to put me on the unlimited plan because I did not want to deal with anymore nonsense and I asked them to remove any charges for minutes that were t-mobile to t-mobile.
I was told that I did not have a t-mobile to t-mobile plan and that they could not remove those charges, I said that it was a mistake and that in April I called to get the unlimited plan and instead I was given the 1500 minute plan with t-mobile to t-mobile capabilities. They said that it was not notated anywhere and that because this happened more than 60 days ago there was nothing they or I could do. I got upset and asked them to get me to a manager because I did not want to pay for their mistake. I was told that even a manager could not do anything and the notes are telling the rep that t-mobile is correct and the charges can not be removed, then I was told that a manager was not available because he went on vacation. Also I was asked by the rep why I did not check that I had no t-mobile to t-mobile minutes, I replied that I did not think I had to check to make sure after asking for it to be added to my account, and my bills looked fine until July.
T-mobile is ridiculous in my opinion because they are willing to loose a customer who is paying them $100 dollars a month! For $190 one time fee! Ok if I add in the cancellation fee of $200 that's $390, so what. If they would have kept me as a customer for a year that is $1200 in monthly fees. Ultimately I'm better of canceling because I need a new phone anyway and the one I want costs $290 dollars unless you sign up as a new customer then you make $100 dollars after rebates. So I will cancel, pay the $390 then sign up for a new plan and get $100 dollars back. In the end I would have paid $290 the same as if I just purchased a phone from them in the first place. Does this make sense to you? It doesn't to me either. Will have to pay T-mobile $390 dollars extra. I will cancel my service.

I wanted my son to be responsible for the # ending in 38. After running his credit I am to assume that this could not happen. I initially called a couple of months ago and asked to remove the features of Blackberry and text messaging. After I found out that my son could not be responsible for his line. I called back and asked for the services to be resumed.
My question to a upper manager is Why would I remove a feature and pay a ridiculous amount of my current bill. I believe that it is unfair. I stressed that I did call back and no information was recorded. I have been a T mobile customer for quite some times the few time that my phone was turned off, was because I forgot. I have called on and off over the last few years, since moving into my new home and I CANNOT get any phone service in my home.
Onetime I called I was told by a rep. that I should go outside for service. Last year when I upgraded to the family plan. I was promised a $100.00 Walt mart gift certificate. As I wrote this letter I received $50.00 and I have been given the run around from T-mobile reps. At the Sams club kiosk. As of this moment I told the manager that I spoke to turn off my service until I can get it resolved from someone else since she could not make a decision. I feel that $714. could go to a family that need food.

I am living outside of my country , in Thailand. The end of November 2007 - I notified Tmobile that I would be traveling abroad. I had traveled to Mexico in August, and received a very large bill, simply from being careless. So, when I left the USA December 1st I wanted to be advised as to what I should and should not be doing, so I would not go broke with monthly phone bills.
The very kind and seemingly knowledgeable customer service representative suggest I #1 cut of my voice mail, as incoming calls would affect my bill even when they roll into the voice mail system. I agreed and he said he would remove it. He also suggested I get the unlimited emailing plan, for $19.99 and I could email anywhere in the world with no extra charges. I set out on a tour of Australia and the South Island of New Zealand and then on to Thailand where I unexpectedly was offered a job.
During these several months abroad, every month I received my bill and it was extremely high. I would call and ask what I was doing wrong and whomever answered, would say it was for one reason or another. So I would stop. I was also travel in numerous areas that I never had signal or computer access. In June I paid a very large bill yet once again, believing I was to blame. In Thailand I reviewed my bills very carefully because I could, and was settled with access. What I also noticed is I was being charged $1.49 per minute for incoming calls I never picked up. AND I noticed the words voice message.
I immediately called Tmobile and spoke to a regular customer service representative. I've forgotten his name but as I recall the person he connected me to who was his supervisor and I want to say his name was Matt. That promised me he would take off 3 months of incoming call charges, but that was as far back as he could go. I also explained I think that when I emailed people I believe I was being charge for that too. I figured once he took off the $1.49 and I paid my bill. I would figure out this separate issue when I had service again. Matt is the person that told me, they have no ability to remove voice mail. I was like.....your kidding.....and how would I dream that up if I had not been told. Moral of the story is Matt never followed up on taking off all the $1.49 charges as he promised me. I want to know how to legally handle this matter.
I'm in the processes of adding these up but it's in the mid hundreds, to low thousand. I payed no less then $600, for my bills from Jan 2008 to June 2008. Please help me

I have been a loyal customer of T-Mobile for over 4 years. I have referred many people to them and have always been happy until last month. I got my bill for May 28 2008 to June 28 2008 and there are over $100 in usage fees on my bill. Why? I went to their website because I was in danger of going over my minutes the month before. All of their plans are national plans. I had a plan called Get More 1500 for $39.99.
On their lists of other plans to choose online you can click on the plan you're thinking about and it will tell you what the plan entails. They had a plan called Get More 3000 for $49.99. When you clicked on that plan, it would tell you that the plan section of their website was down. However, I could click on every single one of the other plans and look at them. The plan did not say it was a regional plan. Just Get More 3000. SO I switched to the plan because I needed more minutes. The usage fees on my bill for that month? Call fees for calls out of my region. Apparently the Get More 3000 plan is regional.
But it's not advertised as regional and even to this date(August 1, 2008) more than 2 months since I first clicked on that plan to try to check it out, it STILL redirects to a page that says their plan section is down but I can still click on all of the OTHER plans and see what they are. They are playing a Bait and Switch game with their customers. When I called the customer service people to get the issue resolved I was told that I had switched the plan and it was MY problem and they would not do anything about it. When asked to put me back on my original plan of Get More 1500 I was instead put on a plan called Individual Max 1500 that is $20 more!
As of July 26 2008 you still could not click on that plan and see what it entails. While, YES I DID change plans, they're being purposely negligent in offering the information on that plan so that they can charge people extra fees that they have no choice but to pay or be stuck with a overly high cancellation fee! Unfortunately, things being tight with the economy, because of the extra $100 charges on my bill, I can't afford to pay my bill this month and my phones will be shut off and subject to a $200 PER LINE charge on 3 lines. I've been a LOYAL customer for over 4 years and THIS is what I get for it!
An extra $100 on my bill AND $200 per line to the tune of $600 because they are playing an ILLEGAL bait and switch game.

I have been a customer for several years. Due to phones being broken or lost, my contract would be extended. When I signed up for this service I was unaware that there was no towers/service in my area. I have to go outside and stand in my driveway to get limited service. I have complained many times, once a month, via email and phone conversations with no satisfaction.
The last straw with this company occurred on
Tuesday July 29th when I was a a barn with my daughter. She was riding her leased horse when we had a situation where I needed to call the owner and I had no service. I had to walk around till I found a spot with minimum service. What if my daughter had been hurt and I needed to call for help. I called T-Mobile again, with no satisfaction. I asked if they would wave the $200 cancellation fee, because I have complained so much, and I only have 6 months left on my contract. Of course they would not.
I am a single mother, with two daughters in college, working three jobs to make ends meet. It is so maddening that these companies can do this. You shouldn't be forced to pay for or have a service that doesn't work. There is probably nothing that can be done with this company and my complaints probably won't matter.

I have been charged a fee for shipping that Customer Support refuses to reimburse or credit. This was for a replacement phone to be shipped to me when mine stopped working. UPS (not my choice of carrier) failed to deliver the phone correctly for 4 delivery tries - I finally got it 8 days after the initial delivery attempt. I think T-Mobile should not pay for the delivery service and I should not be charged. It was a very frustrating experience. Not only that, but Customer Support was so unhelpful and unsympathetic when I called to contest the charge. I felt really unvalued and disappointed in the company.

My recently purchased T-mobile Shadow phone won't hold a charge. My phone dies after two days with little to no usage. The manual says it has 120 hours of standby time and 5 hours of talk time. When I spoke with T-mobile customer service, they acknowledged the problem but would not send a replacement phone, citing the replacement phone would not hold a charge and therefore the problem would continue. The only solution they offered was for me to pay for an upgrade.
I did not pay for an upgrade. I have to charge my phone every other day when all I do is turn it on, dismiss a few emails, and talk less than 10 minutes.

I am writing in regards to the deceitful practices of T-Mobile location in the Maine Mall. In February 2008 I co-signed (or so I thought) for a cell phone at this location for a friend who had poor credit and was entering the army. I specifically asked at the time of sale prior to contract signage what the process looked like to change the contract over to the other user primarily-and was told that it was as simple as a phone call in 3 months as this was essentially co-signing for the phone. The salesman failed to inform me of the fact that this change of responsibility was based off of credit (had I have known that I would have never signed the contract as I was co-signing due to my friend's poor credit).
Three months pass and the contract cannot change responsibility due to my former friend's poor credit, my former friend also starts leaving a balance due and the cell phone unpaid (thus affecting my credit). I have also since been informed that I did not co-sign and the account was issued to myself only and the other user on the account was not a co-signer mind you on a cell phone I have never used and is in Texas. I have since cancelled the account and the grand total (that I now have to pay) is $585 with the overdue balance and cancellation fee.
I have made multiple attempts to contact T-Mobile via letter, e-mail, and telephone call asking repeatedly to speak to someone specific who can handle my case and see me through the process-which they have not provided & have done nothing to work with me throughout this process. I also set up a payment plan with T-Mobile which they disregarded and with NO prior notification sent the bill to pre-collections.
I have also requested an original signed contract from the time of sale (my former friend has my copy) which they have no record of, how can I be held to a $200 cancellation fee with no evidence of my signature on a contract? Any assistance you can help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

i thought it wsa some sort of joke but the rep informed me that my services were being suspended until i pay a bill that was now over $900 including my regular bill for the month. when i informed the rep that i was not paying for calls that i did not make or authorize, he informed me that tmobile would be adding an addition 600 in early term fees, 200 per line and i had 3! that now brought my bill to over 1500!
i called back to speak to a supervisor. the rep that initially answered refused to patch me thru until i gave her my info. once given, she proceeded to inform me what the other rep told me. once again i asked for a supervisor. she continued to speak and i had to scream at her to get me a supervisor on the line, in which she finally transferred me. i spoke to a supervisor and he was reviewing the bill with me. he informed me that local calls were made in between the international calls but refused to give me the numbers. i informed him that i was a customer for 5 year but because it was not under my social there was no way to prove it therefore he could not help with the bill. when i asked how to stop the service from being suspended since i only have a cell phone and no house phone, he told me i would have to pay 450.

In November I switched my account from the regular service to flex-pay. I purchase and began to experience issues (the phone would lock up when attempting to place a call I would have to take the battery out to get it out of the cycle, when answering a call it would just blank out and go to the display screen, I would have to dial a number three or more times before I would get a connection and hear a ring, when a person called me they would get a message that my phone was disconnected.
I was told that the issues was the phone so I place my sim card in the first phone that I had purchased, same issue, then I purchase a third phone, same issue. I called customer service several times and received not help. I reached my limit in May 08, went into T-Mobile store and spoke with a manger Donald C. He was very helpful; with his assistance my issue was addressed but not resolved. I was told that they would change the account, and give it three days and if it did not work call back and they try another means. It did not resolve the issue after several call into the customer care and not being able to get support, went back to store.
It is June now and I was then told that there was an issue with the flex-pay network and there was no way to correct the issue. I had two options to port the number to another company or transfer the service to a prepared account. But first they wanted to change the band my account was on and give it a week and if the issue was not resolved then I could go to the option I choose which was the pay by the day prepaid account and they would cancel my early termination fees. I ask that the transfer take place when my bill cycle ended which was the 2nd of each month. But when the switch my band it changed my account totally. It switched my bill cycle date to the 18th, it made my account appeared that I was a new customer, and I was made to wait till July 18th for the transfer to take place.
On or around July 13th I began to receive messages that I had a balance on my account when I went online I had a balance of 200 dollars. I called into the store and inquired why. I was told it would be corrected and Donald (store manager) call customer care with me on the line to ensure that the transfer would happen on the 18th. We were assured it would, yet later that day while on a call my phone disconnected. When I redialed the number I was told I didn't have enough minutes to place the call, this was strange being that I was on the unlimited plan at $116.00 a month.
So once again I call customer care received not assistance and went back to the T-Mobile store. I was told that despite our earlier call, my account was switched over to the prepaid. It could not be switch back without loosing my number, and would take at least 48 hrs. I lost my information and pictures that was on the t-mobile web page (these were vital because they had picture of my apartment at move-in and other issues that I would need when moving out.) After 3 or more hours in the store I was only given $35 to get me to the 18th. And was told they could not retrieve the pictures.
After explaining all of this to Ms. B.; the three phones purchased, the issues, the months that I had to wait, the two months I had to continue to pay the $116.00. The only resolution she had was to give me a $50 credit, and informed me that I had a 194.44 (portion of the early termination fee, it was not 200 because they had already use the money that I had my flex pay account) balance that would go towards the balance. After contesting she did cancel the fee, and still only offered $50 credit. I had to pay $116.00 for two months more than necessary. I lost evidence that I will need when attempting to get my security deposit back. I had to make several trips to the T-mobile store, and spent two hours or more each time which was gas as well as time.

Six months later I started receiving bills for the T-mobile phone. I ignored them knowing I did not have the phone. Then I received a call from a collection agency saying I owed them $400 plus for the phone. I hunted around the house for correspondence from T-mobile. It was the first bill I opened. It said I owed them money for a phone with an area code of 309 or something like that.
My local area code in half the state of Nebraska is 402. Why would I have a different area code? Also, I never activated the phone--never had any minutes on the phone. I had cleared it up with T Mobile and they agreed with everything I said--they showed I had not used the phone. I have had Verizon service for 10 years and use my verizon number for my home phone.
So now six months later I am being harassed by a collection agency called BCR. They have been rude, condescending and extremely mean. They make me feel like a deadbeat. They tell me to call T-Mobile and T-Mobile tells me to call the collection agency. T-Mobile has all the records--they were able to pull up my information with my social security number. I'm not sure how they got this information but I don't even know the assigned phone number.

In Mid-February 2008, I canceled my mobile phone account with T-Mobile because I was leaving the country. Everything seemed fine and smooth until a few weeks later, when I called back to check the balance on my last month's phone bill. To my surprise, I was charged $348 for the last month. My typical bill is around $50 dollars, depending on whether I added the "Mobile to Mobile" and "SMS" plan or not.
Immediately, I asked them to tell me the reason for the ridiculous bill. After much arguing, I was told that I used 628 more minutes than my 600 min plan allowed. That is impossible, I have to be on the phone for 1200+ minutes during the daytime from (Mon-Fri), as I have free nights and weekends. And the only person I really even call is my girlfriend. And since I live with my girlfriend, talking directly to her is much more convenient that calling her. The other calls I make are phone card calls to Asia, which I only do at night after 9 PM, due to time differences. So, it is basically impossible to use 1200+ during the day in a month.
I asked them for a detailed copy of the bill so I can dispute the bill. They informed me that they've already sent a bill to my US address and couldn't send me another one. At least not until a month later. (I have no idea why they cannot send another one, maybe their printers only work once a month, but there was no point asking, as they will give me bullshit answers). Anyways, so I waited for the bill to be sent to my old apartment, where my roommate will still be there to pick up my bill. However, after 2 weeks or so, my roommate never received the bill.
I also tried to login to my online account to access the information, but NO, my online account was disable immediately after the cancellation of my phone account. So there was no way to check online. SO, I called T-mobile again to request a reprint of the detailed bill. After a lot of hassle, they promised to send me a 'detailed bill' with all the calls I made and the various charges. And not to my surprise, they sent me a bill with no information other than the balance on the final bill.
So I called them again and asked for another reprint, but this time, they told me that they no longer have the information and cannot send me the detailed bill. They said I must fax a letter to their customer service department to request for one, so I did. Soon, I received a letter response telling me that a reprint is impossible, since the account is closed and all the information cannot be retrieved. And they have a paragraph threatening me to pay the crazy bill or they will send it to a collection agency.
So I call AGAIN to negotiate with them, and was told that the only way to obtain a detailed bill was to physically go to a T-mobile retail store and ask for one. And yes, they KNOW I am not in the US and cannot do that. But luckily, I planned to visit the US in the end of June. I returned to Austin, Texas and went to one of their retail stores to ask for a reprint of the detailed bill. And of course, they cannot provide me a copy of a bill that is more than 2 months old and they 'cannot retrieve the information'. PLUS, I was told that everything is already sent to a collection agency and they no longer have any information about my account.
In the end, I had to deal with a collection agency, which does not know anything other than request me to pay for the bill. They gave me a discount, so I 'ONLY' paid $287. I mean, how hard is it to provide a customer with a detailed bill? How did it take more than 5 months and still not be settled? T-mobile is just full of unnecessary rules and obstacles to deter a customer from getting the information they deserve and need. I had to pay $287 for a bill that shouldn't exceed $60.

I have 5 phones on the T-Mobile network. They are all different phones and they all drop calls consistently. It does not matter if we are at home, outside, driving, in town or out of town the calls are dropped. Not only that, but calls, text messages and voice messages do not go through many times. I cannot get a hold of my children when they are at home alone and they cannot reach me if there was to be an emergency. Most of the time when we call each other the phone just goes straight to voice mail. I can be holding my phone and call it from a landline and it doesn't ring!
Even if someone leaves a message the phones do not alert us. We have to continually check the voice mail to make sure there are no messages. The phones are important also for business, as we are self-employed and we need to call each other to communicate important information about jobs. Once again, the phone never rings through to us, just goes straight to voicce mail. If, God forbid something were to happen with one of us and we could not reach someone by phone I would most definately sue T-Mobile. This is a very unreliable and worthless service that I am paying over $200 a month for. Our internet on the sidekicks works about half of the time as well.
I have called customer care at least 10 times and every time I have to go through this troubleshooting thing. I drove 90 minutes to Phoenix to get new sim cards which I knew wouldn't change anything and they didn't. Then they told me they would reset my phones to the tower, that didn't work. They told me that I am in a great coverage area, one of the best and that I should have at least 4 bars all of the time, doesn't matter the calls are still dropped. They told me to re-start the phones each day, didn't work. They even had me replace one of my sidekicks which I knew wasn't the problem. How could replacing one phone fix all of the problems on the other phones?
The last time I called the rep told me that my sim card numbers didn't match so she reset them all and told me that the problem should be fixed. Immediately after that 67 minute discussion I hung up and made a call that was dropped! I called the person back and that call was dropped too. This is absolutely horrible. Each time I call I have to go through the whole routine all over again with someone new. Sometimes after going through it all they hang up on me.
This morning I called again and they said that they will not be able to let me out of the contract without paying $200 per line. They are supposedly sending out someone to troubleshoot my area with some specialized equipment (ure they are). This will take 72 hours or more according to them, and will most likely solve the problem according to them. Please help me! I cannot pay $1,000 to end these contracts and even if I could, that is so wrong. Why are these companies able to get away with this?
I have a limited ability to reach my children and wife in an emergency situation. My kids cannot reach their mother, nor can the school during the day in case of emergency. I cannot be reached by phone for business matters, and can potentially lose business because of this. I have an after hours line which people in emergency situations need to reach me. If they cannot reach me, I can lose accounts and money.

Bought T-Mobile Service Plan (2 years) that included a SideKick 3 telephone and a 1 year warranty. Before we left the store, the seller could not get the phone to activate. Telephone was replaced by a new one. A few months later, the phone was not working correctly, T-Mobile replaced the phone and asked us to sign up for internet access via the SideKick as a cure to the problem. They claimed they could fix future problems via the internet. A few months later, the phone failed to work and a local T-mobile store told us to mail it in to the repair center to have it replaced it. I told them that the internet access did not work and was told that it should fix the problem now.
Some more months went by and the phone had to be replaced again. Three months went by and the warranty expired. A month after the warranty expired, the phone failed again and T-Mobile won't fix it because the warranty expired. All this time, I told T-Mobile that the whole line of SideKicks 3 they had was defective. They refused to accept it.
In my opinion, they knew all the time that the phone was a "lemon" and just waited until the warranty expired. Now they want to sell me a new version of the SideKick. Note: a search in the internet for T-Mobile's SideKick 3 problems will prove my position: that the phone was a bust from the begining. I know that electronic equipment could fail at any time, but 4 or 5 different sets failing within months to the same customer defies the normal distribution of random events. This was a totally dishonest tactic by T-Mobile. $60.00 in shipping. Gas to travel 60 miles to the nearest T-Mobile store. Weeks without phone service. Now I have to find another phone ($125.00 to $200.00 on eBay)

I've been a T-Mobile subscriber since 3/4/07. I live in Southern NJ, and work up and down the North East Corridor. I travel to New York City typically twice a week, and found that any calls I had heading North of Newark were prone to get lost. I've just dealt with it for the most part, never complaining, never really losing much business because of it. Today (7/16/08) I was in NYC, and not only experienced two dropped calls on my way to the city, but also THREE while I was standing at 34th and 9th ave. I had two more while getting home. I called tech-support on my way home, and they said that I'd have to call from a land line.
A few hours later, I called back from the land line, and a technician verified that the problem was in fact with their network. The said that they would have a technician begin looking over the towers in the N. Jersey and Metro NYC area. When I expressed interest in canceling my service, they agreed and transferred me to a "Loyalty Specialist."
Their solution was to have me buy a 3G phone, or pay a $200 early termination fee. The fine print here, as I've been explained again and again by a "customer service rep" with a script is that "you pay for the minutes, not the service. T-Mobile makes no guarantee of service."
One particular service rep, Beverly, told me that it's a "balance between what's good for the company, and what's good for the customer." I fail to see a balance here, it's incredibly one-sided.
I was transferred back and forth from supervisor to supervisor, and told repeatedly the same thing. I don't quite understand how this ethically works, knowing that the service is so terrible for me, yet this seems to be a complete brick wall. My options were to buy a new phone (this one is a year old), pay the fee, or keep my service the way it is. Since "waiving the termination fee" is not an option with T-Mobile, when will acceptable service standards become part of the equation? Unprofessional representation, loss of client accounts, reputation.

Started new service with T-Mobile in October, 2007. By July 2008 the phone I ordered had completely stopped working. After several emails with absolutely no response, I returned to my local T-Mobile store and was given a pamphlet with a website and phone number. I went to the website (my phone no longer works) and filled out the form. I was an email stating that my new phone would arrive within 2 business days.
After 4 days, I went online again and put in my claim number. It stated they need further information and gave me a link. I followed the link and filled out more information. I received and email that said my replacement phone would be delivered within 2 business days and gave a date.
5 days later I still had no replacement phone. I went to the website again and and entered my claim number. It stated I needed to fill out further information and gave me a link. I followed the link, once again, and filled out more information. I received and email saying that more information was needed and I was to call this 800 number.
After borrowing a cell phone I called the number given to me in the email. I was on hold for nearly 30 minutes. At this time the owner of the phone started to complain about her minutes being used. I terminated the call and took the phone back to the T-Mobile store along with a note, saying pretty much everything in this email. That is where the phone is now. I have since tried to lower my plan online on my account. For some reason I am not allowed to. SO, without a phone, I am still paying for service from a company that refuses to answer or resolve my issue. This is my next step. I'm sure it is one of many.

I originally purchased a phone and plan from T-mobile in May of 2007. The phone malfuntioned 2 months later, so I returned for a new phone which was a complete hassle. T-mobile then gave me a refurbished phone which was past the coverage date so I had no recourse when it malfuctioned.
My current phone only works rarely and they refuse to replace it without another 2 year contract. My phone is less than a year old and it does not work properly, but it cannot be replaced by T-mobile since the warranty is dated prior to my initial contact date. The phone's warranty expired before I had even been a t mobile customer. I have tried numerous attempts to resolve this to no avail.
I will be dropping tmobile as my carrier and they require a cancellation fee of 200$ which is absurd. I write you to tell you about the poor customer service and ingenuous practices at this company. Thank you,

May 22, 2008: Spoke with Roxanne P. who told me there was no service at my address, had me send a fax with confirmation number and suggested I cancel my service without an early termination fee and that her supervisor Cesar would waive that. July 7, 2008: After receiving phone calls and mail on an almost daily basis that I owe 200 dollars, I called and spoke with Shirley at T-mobile who said they never received the fax but there was no service showing at my address so she would take care of it right away.
July 14, 2007: Continued to receive mail and phone calls saying they would send me to collections. Spoke with T-mobile rep, Edelia, who said they did receive the fax but service was showing at my address so they cannot waive the fee. Asked to speak with supervisor, was very rude and said the supervisor would call back within the hour. Never received a phone call back.

I have been a customer with T-Mobile Cell phone company for 5 years. 2 years ago, I purchased a BR50 razor phone from t-mobile Since then I have been having problems with the screen going black. I did purchase warranty, but really never had a chance to use it. My contract stated that within the 90 days I would recieve a new phone. What I thought was a new phone, but I later found out, it was a refurbished phone. T-Mobile did not inform me that it was a refurbished phone until the 2nd replacement. My response to T-Mobile was I purchased the phone brand new, therefore I should recieve a new phone, since my 90 day warranty had not been exhausted. I have been told by T-mobile customer service that the T-Mobile Razor BR 50 phone reception is not strong and they have been having problems with the screens going black. When I asked why are they still on the market, I recieved a I don't know!
Well after the 4TH phone replacement, I asked for a compatable phone without YET ANOTHER 2 year contract. They told me that there was not a compatable phone, when indeed there is, and they would not give me a new phone although my 90 days had not been exhausted. So yet I recieved another razor phone in late May. In July, my screen went black again. I phoned t-moble and their response was basically the same , but this time they offered me another phone with a 1 year contract. I explained to them I DID NOT WANT ANOTHER CONTRACT. Why would I want another contract when they cannot honor the first contract by replacing my new phone with a new phone.
After being hung up on I called back and demanded to speak with a supervisor, and was told to contact customer relations. I have sent them a letter with no hope in resolving this issue. As a result I have to pay $200 to get out of my contract and I feel that since T-Mobile made this phone, they should be able to accomadate their customers and not have to give them a used phone that may or may not be in adequate working condition. I currently have an additional phone from T-Mobile Samsung T-319 that I have had since I have been with the company and have not had a problem.
As a single mother it is very important that I keep in contact with my daughter, yet I have been subject to not having a phone for 5 days with poor customer service. They were not sensitive to my needing a phone right away to keep in contact with my daughter. I am prepared to contact the Executive Officers: Mr. Robert Dotson, Mr. Cole Brodman, Mr. Brian Kiekpatrick, Mr. David Miller, Ms. Susan Nokes, Mr. Neville Ray and Mr. Rob Strickland to inform them of such services that I have recieved from T-Mobile regarding the T-Mobile Razor BR50 that they currently have on the market.
The economic damage is that during the 4th phone, I purchased 2 chargers at $17.99 each thinking that it was the chargers, but it was the Razor phone. My daughter and I were left without a phone service and I was unable to communicate with her.

I am able to make calls. But not able to receive calls. Callers do not get to voicemail even. Line gets disconnected abruptly. It just shows up on my missed call list. It just doesn't ring at all. It happens when I am at home. I reported this issue to T-mobile 15 days ago.
Nothing happened till now. Spent about 10 hours discussing the issue with Tech service team. It not only happened to me but also to a friend of mine. It looks like it is happening to quite a few people in the area. Every time we talk T-mobile service team they create a service ticket or support ticket. But not able to resolve the issue. I am paying full amount for the service. As I am still under contract I can not change service provider. It would cost me at $400 and may have to pay for the new phones. It is total misuse of regulations in telecom Industry. I do not know who to approach to report this issue.

I received a $459.00 cell phone bill from T mobile. My plan is suppose to be 79.99. Text messages and over minute penalties made by my teenage daughter. I couldn't afford to pay but I need the phone because she is in college. I called T Mobile and I made a $100.00 payment on 6/28 and called the customer care ctr at 1-800-937-8997 for payment arrangements. I spoke to a rep and she said that I have to set up a post dated check for 7/4/08 to get my services back on. I could receive calls but I couldn't make them.
I explained to her that I can make arrangements for another $100.00 and for 7/4 and I will call 7/11 and make another $100.00 payment after that. She gave me a confirmation number for the payment for 6/28 but couldn't give me one for 7/4 until the payment posted. I restated that I could only afford a payment amount of $100.00 removed from my account. She assured me that they would only take $100.00. On 7/10 I called to check my balance and found that I had a negative account balance. I traced it to T mobile. They did an ACH withdraw of $359.00 which I didn't have. I only had $200.00 dollars in my account.
I had to pay $64.00 in over draft fees because when they took the $359.00 another check I had written against the acount bounced also. When I called the company they gave me a hard time and said that they ALWAYS take the balance due. This was not told to me by the rep. A supervisor Victor P told me that they would investigate and listen to the tapes from the conversation. I spoke to my bank and they told me to fill out a ACH withdraw dispute form. This has put me in arrears financially. I am a single mother making only 300.00 per week and I am strapped until the next pay week. This put me behind on an already tight budget. I am emotionally horrified that they would ROB ME. I FEEL LIKE T-MOBILE PUT A GUN TO MY BACK AT THE ATM!

On August the 29, 2008, T-Mobile is changing their Terms and Conditions by increasing International Text Messages Rates from $.15 to $.20 per message. I was notified of this through a news article. On July 10, 2008, I called the T-Mobile customer service number to discuss this rate increase. They confirmed this rate increase. I then advised the representative that I would like to cancel my contract without incurring the early termination fee because the rate increase is "materially adverse" to me and based on the contract I signed with T-Mobile, changes to the contract that are "materially adverse" to me allow me to cancel without having to pay the early termination fee.
After speaking to Kim (ID#: 4836323), Heather (ID#: 4836663), and Codi (ID#: 4836636) they refused to allow me to cancel my contract without the early termination fee. They claim that International Text Messaging rates can change at any time. I explained to them that they are correct, however, according to their agreement, if the change is "materially adverse" to me, then the contract allows me to cancel withough and early termination fee. Cody (ID# 4836636) stated that she is notifying me that international text messaging fees are not included in that statement of the contract. However, she could not show me where the contract states this. She said, "I am telling you verbally on the phone." I explained to her the "4 corners" theory of contract law, which states that you can't go outside the 4 corners of the document to explain something away.
In the end, all three representatives refused to allow me to cancel my contract without without paying the early termination fee. The facts are as follows: I signed this contract in September 2006 with T-Mobile and the rates for International text messages were $.15. T-Mobile is modifying the Terms and Conditions by raising the International text message rate to $.20 on August 29, 2008. According to the Terms and Conditions, I can cancel my contract without incurring the early termination fee if the modification is "materially adverse" to me, which is the case.
I called to cancel my contract, however, T-Mobile refused to allow me to do this. I feel they are violating the terms and conditions set forth in the contract I signed. PLEASE, help me resolve this dispute with T-Mobile. They are a huge corporation with a lot of money and legal resources. I am one person. They are bullying me. Thanks for your help. They want me to pay $400.00 early termination fee, $200.00 per phone.

I got my phone in Feb, 2008, and signed up for the my faves plan. One of the #'s I added to my plan was my mothers, which is in the southeastern part of the state of NM and in the 575 area code switch over. My phone would not recognize the 575 #, as I live in the 505 area, so every time she called me or I called her, it subtracted minutes from my plan. Every month until May, I was having to call a supervisor @ customer service & have bonus minutes added to my account, or I would have had overage fees.
Finally in May, they got the problem fixed. My phone now recognized the # as a my faves #, but now I owed them $132.46, all but $49 in overages!!! I still don't believe this bill is right, but with all the notations & tweaking they had done to my bill, I can't be sure.
May 17, I called and spoke to mark, told him about all the problems since Feb, & told him that T-mobile had not held up there end of the contract to provide me with the service I signed up for, so I wanted to cancel my service. He said all I owed was the $132.46, which I paid June 2. Here it is July 10th, & I recieve a bill from t-mobile saying I owe them $224.72!! I called customer service again, got hung up on once, and then was transferred to a supervisor that explained to me about the $200 early termination fee. She could not explain the $24.72. I told her she needed to find a way to get the $200 off of my bill; I cancelled my service because T-mobile could not hold up THEIR end of the contract by not providing me with the service I signed up for. I was hung up on AGAIN!! I had wanted to get this resolved through t-mobile, but why call only to be hung up on AGAIN.
By not getting this resolved, they will likely send me to a collection agency for the $200 that I will not pay, which will put a collection on my credit.

About a years time from now, after getting to my duty station I went into the mall in watertown ny to purchase a cell phone, I ended up getting one from t-mobile,well some time had passed and my phone was wearing out. So i went back to get a new phone and the mamager instead, said he could get me 2 lines for cheaper with my military discount. He explained what the whole plan consisted of; it included 800 min for both phones and unlimited text messaging also had the my 5 faves that was what he told me. So I said ok he printed out the peperwork as i tryed to understand what all the abbreveations ment he just reassured me that it was the plan we just talked about, and explained it again reminding me that he was gonna take care of my military discount right away, so I went ahead and signed for the new contract.
Starting issue I noticed: is I called the customer care line after my first bill to check on why it might be so high? They said my military discount never went through so i called the store back and even went down there on multiple occations trying to get my discount fixed. Finally they gave me all the information and I went and did it myself. After a few months of no military discount. Because of work and the hassel of trying to get that fixed i missed my payment and didn't remember until about mid month that following month. So I call to make a payment and my bill was $1,050 so I talked to them, no results. My phones then were suspended. Now I cant call to fix without finding someone with a phone I can use.
So I am stuck with a outragious bill, barely a way of contacting there customer support, and finally I call them and they say well knock off the late fees, so that redused it down to around $850 about a couple weeks pass, with more than 12 phone call and only for them to say "o mr h. i see you dont have unlimited texting on your line. I will go ahead and add that for you." I said, ok? This is the first time I found out that my text messaging wasn't on my phone so I told them it was supposed to already be on my plan acording to what was explained to me when I changed my contract to 2 phone lines by the store manager, (Sandy O.)
So after about another 4 or 5 calls the customer support tells me the only thing I can do is go talk directly to the manager who sold me my phone and told me I had unlimited text messaging. So I go to the store and speak to him directly and reminded him of the contract he told me about and had me sign, he agreed that he remembered, the 2 phones, with unlimited text messaging, 800 minutes, and my 5 faves, so I said there is a mix up I have an outragious bill because the text messaging some how didn't transfer to my other phone, and I need it fixed. He apologized and said he would get it fixed right away.
After weeks of reminding him talking to him and other people who worked there, I had talked to another man who worked during the day, he said, this kinda problem has happened before and he also told me it should be fixed by the end of the day. Now I am very upset its been months now and my phone is still not working so my friend comes with me to be there while I talk to them again.Sandy put his phone on speaker phone and made a call to what he told me was his manager me both me and my friend has heard him say multiple times that it was his fualt and that he was gonna fix it times before and on the phone.
Again no results and still no timeline when my bill was gonna be taken care of. So I asked him for a pen and paper and his name and his managers name then gave them a time line when they could call me back the next day to let me know what is going on with my account to prove they are trying, And who i was going to for help if they couldent do there job,I provided them with my friends phone number and left the store. Later that night I called the customer care line, the lady I talked to was nice, and more helpful then anyone before because I mentioned the fact that i was going to talk to the BBB and have allready talked to JAG, military justice. She became very nice and even called the store for me while i was still on the line, suposedily sandy, the manager, was on the other line and could not get on the phone so she gave them a list of what they need to fax over for this to be taken care of tonight or the following day. She said I would get a call around 10am on my roomates phone that I provided her the number with, never recieved a call,
so about 2 hours later i called them back come to find out that the manager sandy is denying the fact that i was supposed to get unlimited texting and that it was not in my contract, i just found out about a week ago that he also did not tell me about another discount i was entitled too because of the phone he sold me. July, 08, 2008 todays date. Please help me! paying extra money for not getting military discount, not getting discount on phone, paying for stuff i shouldent have too, emotional stress expicially at work, havent been able to call my family, and now i just got a notice thretening me that its gonna go on bad credit if i dont pay the full amount!

I thought I would not be in too much trouble because I use around 1000 texts a month and would still be within the right amount.
Anyways by the time I got the bill I saw I was over my a few hindered texts and charged 80 dollars. I asked them to just remove them but the refused. Almost two years ago our family contracted with T-Mobile for a two-year, 4-phone service. 2 of the phones were within T-Mobile's range, 2 were not. At the time we signed the contract, we explained to the salesman that 2 of the phones would be in WV. He said that was fine, and our contract also indicated that there were no roaming limitations.
Less than 2 months ago, one of our phones broke. The T-Mobile salesman said it was water damaged. Actually, it had never been exposed to water, & we found out on our own that the problem was a bad battery (the salesman had no way of testing the battery or the charger!--even though we had told they would service the phones). The salesman tried to sell us a new phone, & a 1-yr extension of our plan. At that time we asked again about roaming charges (we weren't sure where one of us would be located in the next year), & were told that there were no roaming limitations, & shown a brochure to that effect.
On June 26, on our daughter's 18th birthday, her phone, which she had been using in WV ever since our contract started, had its service cut, with absolutely no prior warning. We had no clue that T-Mobile would do this. At first, we thought the phone was broken. When we figured out service had been cut, we called T-Mobile, & were told there was a new policy which cut off phones which made too many out of range calls! There was no reversing this policy. We were told by a customer service supervisor that T-Mobile had substituted a new contract for our original one (!!!) We have no idea what the other provisions the new contract might have.
We have been paying T-Mobile for almost 2 years, with nary a missed or late payment. We are in a rural area, & for long stretches of this time, did not have T-Mobile service in our home, & when we did, had bad connections. Moreover, those of us who live within T-Mobile range often do without service as well. So service was never optimal Now losing one of the phones has thrown our lives into disarray. The young lady who has lost her phone is now unavailable to college contacts, work contacts, and to her community service colleagues. Not to mention that she has been cut off from friends --as I say, we are in a rural area. We are now scrambling, at great inconvenience, to find another phone service. And, I suppose, we will then need to cope with T-Mobile's charges for opting out of their service before our contract expires.

I have a family plan for approximately $140.00 a month and can't understand why my bills continue to be $200.00 to $450.00 monthly. They charged my husband $425.00 in text messaging charges, but he did not make any changes to his texting habit for that month. I requested an investigation but T-Mobile insists the charges are legitimate. My 2-year contract expired in March 2008, but T-Mobile states my contract does not expire until November 2008. I want to terminate my contract because I can't afford to pay T-Moble over $200.00 monthly on a $140.00 monthly contract.
I have been making double payments to keep my account current and to avoid any threat of collection from T-Mobile. I don't trust that company. My family can't afford any extra curricular activities and am purchasing the bare necessaties in order to survive. There is not ryme or reason we should be paying such an exuberant phone bill just to be able to keep in contact and for emergencies. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

1. Insurance on phone - $110 deductible NOT mentioned by salesperson. $6 a month. Not worth it when added up. 2. They don't honor repairing broken phones. 3. They don't let you talk to technical support without calling from a second line. I called and wanted to talk to Technical support. The customer service person REFUSED repeatedly to forward me to technical support, which they have done in the past without calling from a second line. I begged with them to please forward me because I don't have a house phone and I don't know anyone nearby. They wouldn't do it no matter what. The customer service rep suggested that I MUST either walk or drive to a T-mobile store or call from a payphone to talk to technical support.
After I found a phone - an hour later I talked to their sickenly fake customer service rep again(which OF COURSE act like that to try and offset the abundance of calls by upset customers) I spent 3 hours trying to troubleshoot my phone for them, by installing the application loader which on a good connection takes well over an HOUR. I had to go back home to do this, then back to the pay phone to talk to technical support because it didn't do anything. Finally my 3rd technical support rep said she would start the return process. She had me open the phone and tell me what color a little sticker by the sim card was. I said red.
She said she can't honor the warranty because it meant that I dipped the phone in water. I NEVER NEVER put it in water, dropped it in water EVER. I may have whiped the inside of the case out with an alcohol wipe because of dust. It may have been incredibly humid inside the plastic case I purchased from T-mobile. I don't know what could have cause it. It's impossible in my opinion unless that red sticker is sensative to humidity. either case they stink and I didn't have to do anything that required me to call from a second line. I am so dissapointed with T-mobile.

I was never notified of such activity until my family plan cell phones were shut down. What this tells me is that T-Mobile did a poor job at maintaining my account secure.
After speaking with different T-Mobile personnel (for hours), I was told that there were thousands of dollars (at one point $26,000) being deposited and credited to my account. I dont have the slightest idea of how this could happen. The customer service representatives told me that they couldn't provide anymore information and that I could only communicate through writing with the Risk Assessment Team. Starting on June 25th, caller to my cell phone reached a recording stating that my phone was no longer in service. As a small business guy, this is not a helpful message. Lost calls means lost business and even worse, suggesting to my callers that my service has been disconnected is embarrassing and damaging to the perceptions others have of me.
Despite repeated calls to T-Mobile's customer service department and a visit to a T-Mobile store where my phone was subjected to various diagnostics, the problem has persisted -- even though I was told repeatedly that it was fixed. The core of my concern is that outgoing message saying my service has been terminated. One way to fix that would be to switch immediately to another carrier -- but T-Mobile would then charge me a $200 early termination fee.
Since that is probably a lot less than the business I have lost the last couple of days, I asked T Mobile to waive that fee. The company refused. I also asked if they could somehow change the message that callers were receiving that stated my phone was out of service. I was told this was not possible.
Hard to say. I know I missed calls from one organization that was at least persistent enough to send me an e-mail. I know for certain I missed an opportunity that would have netted me a few hundred dollars. However, the biggest damage is creating the perception that I can't even afford to pay my phone bill. I may never know what that has cost me.

I called T-mobile the day I received the letter. I explained that I had moved back to Texas on Feb. 1 from Ohio and that I never roamed. The customer service rep said that he looked at my account and could see that I never roamed. He said that he would cancel the disconnect. I thought the problem was handled.
This morning when we tried to use the phone it wouldn't work. T-Mobile disconnected it. So I called this morning and was put on hold. I sat on hold for 38 min until their system hung up on me. Then I called back and was put on hold again, after 31 min I hung up. I called back again and they explained that Nationwide phone's had been shut off this morning and I would just have to hold.
I have now been on hold for another 40 min. I have been dealing with them for 2 hrs. I just thought that maybe you would be interested in this. For a company as big as T-mobile to decide that you roam to much and therefore they will shut off your phone, even though your contract says nothing about how much you can roam, seems very unprofessional. And them after they decide they have the right to do this, even though you have a contract, to not be prepared for the hundreds, possibly thousands of phone calls to come in, makes it even more unacceptable.

Their response is at the bottom.
I purchased the Blackberry Pearl and T-mobile service in 10/06 and was working outside of the house. The service was ok and I only had a few dropped calls. I started working from home in February and at that time I began to experience a high number of missed calls and dropped calls. I would say on average of 2-3/ day. I was told where I bought the phone and service that I would have no problem at my residence. That proved to be inaccurate information and I believe was a misrepresentation of T-Mobiles service. I have consistantly had dropped calls and missed business opportunities due to the inability to get service. I have spoken to customer service at least 4 different times.
At one point they had a tech crew check the service out here and they said it was ok. It was not ok and is still not ok. I have also gone to the place I purchased the phone and switched out the sim card to see if that was the problem. That did not help either. I spoke with customer service again and was told that I could purchase at home hotspot for extra money. Why would I pay more money for hotspot when I was told that I would have service at my home? I was very upset with the opportunity to purchase more service and come to find out I have to have cable in order to do that as well. So if for some wild reason I decided to pay more money for service where I should already have service. I couldnt even do that.
I called again on June 2nd and spent an hour on the phone talking with customer service and I am still having the same problem. I was unable to get service several times today while at my house. I have been very unhappy with the service I have been getting and due to the fact that I now conduct 100% of my business out of the house and I cannot get service here. I feel that I was led to believe that I would have great service here and now that I have experienced the issues I have it is my belief that I should not have to pay the 200 dollar termination fee to cut ties with T-mobile. Please contact me as soon as possible to correct the situation by terminating my service without the 200 dollar fee. If you would like more information than what I have provided above please call me.Response: Sorry our computers tell us you have great service..4 bars. Cannot cancel your contract.

We were T-Mobile customers for several years. Never any problems. Recently, two out of five of my family's cell phones stopped working. I called T-Mobile to see if I could get a good deal on 5 new phones, since 4 out of 5 of our phones were the same make and I was afraid they'd break, too. After some discussion they told me that I could upgrade my phones which would involve a new contract. I ordered new phones and there were many complications which led to several phone calls to customer service reps.
I decided that it wasn't worth all of the hassle, so I asked the rep if I leave T-Mobile now, will I incur early termination fees? He told me No, because you have 30 days under a new contract in which to cancel and not incur termination fees. I hung up and in the next couple of days decided to check two more times, with different cust svc reps. I called and they both told me No problem, it's a new contract, you have 30 days to cancel.
So, I went to AT &T and set up a new family contract with them and they canceled my T-Mobile contract on April 25, 2008., which was within my 30 day new contract window. Then I called T-Mobile to find out if they received the phones I had sent back. They said Yes so I asked So, there will be no termination charges on my last bill, correct? The rep said No, sir, no termination charges. Later that month, I received a T-Mobile bill for $1038.31 in termination fees!
I called T-Mobile and asked the service rep what are these charges for? After investigation, she said that fter cancelling the newest contract, your contract reverts back to the previous contract and thus we owe cancellation fees. She said I have two options, 1) reinstate our phone numbers and come back with T-Mobile (leaving me signed up with two phone companies, since it was too late to cancel AT &T without termination fees.) or 2) pay the early termination fees, using a payment plan. Later I called back to ask about the payment plan and they told me that they don't do payment plans!
I tried many times to talk to someone about this problem. I got a lot of run around and no satisfaction. When I asked about a third party to dispute this matter, they said No, just T-Mobile. Today I spoke to someone in the billing dept. and he told me my best option is to reinstate the contract until October (the original end-date) and my total fees would come to $519.84 plus tax. I have until July 26th to do this. Please tell me if this is truly my only option as I feel that T-Mobile' policies were misrepresented to me and therefore I should not owe early termination/cancellation fees. I would not have switched providers until my contract was originally up in Oct.of 2008, had three customer service reps not told me that it was okay to do so.
I have a bill for $1038.31 that I really can't afford. I need to hear from someone before July 26th, 2008.

He informed me to call T-Mobile and have the area code change to suit my calls. There was no problem. Once in NC I called T-Mobile and was informed that they could not give me change of area code (to 919 or whatever) because they had no towers in NC. So what now? I asked. You can still use the phone but the calls in NC would be charged as out of area calls, I was informed. Meaning long distance. I told T-Mobile that that was not I was told by their rep at the Kiosk and that was the reason why I got the phone because of the arrangement that could be made to fit my need when I moved.
We went back and forth for two billing periods becacuse they would not let up. I told them this was not the service I purchased and was not happy about this. They did not delivered what I purchased and I wanted out of this mess. I was lied to and did not appreciate that. I had connected a phone in my apt. and did not use the phone and left it a zero balance. I paid whatever bill they sent me for two months, even calls that were not mine. After much dispute and calling back being furious informing them that I was aware of the long list of lawsuits they had about their rotten company. I would write a complaint myself.
Finally I got off this nightmare and was told that they would no longer hold me to this contract. They had no towers in NC and that all this would end. I never heard from them again. Now, in 2008 I get a collection notice from Mobile Solution for $400.00 because of interupted service when T-Mobile said they would take care of the issue because they had no towers. I tried to explain that I don't have any family nor friends in that country and that they were supposed to trace the number where the calls were made. They refused to do that and I am facing a bill for almost $500.00.
I am a 71 year old senior citizen who have never missed a payment nor late charges. Could you please help me so that I don't have to pay for something that I didn't do? Thanks a lot and God Bless You!

I've been a customer for a little over a year, and during that time I have exchanged my defective dash on at least 5 separate occasions for one reason or another with the exception of me dropping one of them @ some point which I have taken full responsibility of that particular incident and was charged for a replacement. The most recent incident occurred this past Monday 6/09/08, I had just ended a call, and not even 5 minutes later I went to retrieve my phone and the entire screen was blank/white. Immediately I powered down my device removed the battery in the efforts to reboot, but it only had done the same thing!
After calling T-mobile at or around 1am (central standard time) and explaining my dissatisfaction with the overall performance of the Dash, I was informed that nothing could be done other than a handset exchange due to me being month to month in other words a flex pay customer. After speaking with John (rep), and Mitch (mgr) both out of the Oklahoma office, I was than proposed a hand set upgrade to the Wing model >PDA< discounted @ $100 off the regular price.
My dilemma is that I feel very uncomfortable with paying hundreds of dollars for another device when in fact the original device I paid the regular price (which was over $349 @ time of purchase) has not lived up to it's expectations, nor has it's life's expectancy been longer than a period of 4 months on any of the many exchanged devices whether it had been issued refurbished or brand new!

In October of 2007, during a seperation from my spouse, I had cellular service with T-Mobile. My estranged spouse called T-mobile and told them to cancel the account and managed to obtain information regarding the account and numbers that were called. T-Mobile shut off the phone without my knowledge or permission and never contacted me concerning the matter. After I obtained the information on why my phone was deactivated, I told the customer service representative that I no longer wished to do business with their company, or any company that freely gave out personal information and allowed others to control the account.
I told the agent that I would gladly pay for my usage, but would not pay for the early termination fees because T-Mobile had breached the agreement. I never received an amount. In January of 2008, I began receiving collection calls from Am-share. After numerous attempts to settle this dispute and being hung up on, asked personal questions pertaining to my relationship with my wife, and being told to contact T-Mobile who in turn tells me to contact Am-share, I am at wits end. I have been told to pay varying amounts and that if I pay the amount of my usage that the termination fees will go against my credit report. my wife and I have been repeatedly harassed, hung upon, or put on hold indefinitely when trying to resolve this matter.
Repeated harassment, stress, and time spent trying to resolve this matter with both T-Mobile and Am-share. The negativite status of this matter on my credit report and the airtime used for all calls.

We have been having service issues with dropped calls, bad coverage, networking issues, etc anywhere near our home even though the TMobile map shows excellent coverage in the area. Phones will show two bars and drop calls. We are on famly plan with two different brands of phones and problems occur on both phones. Sometimes when you dial it will say Network Failure even though you have 2-3 bars.
TMobiles solution was to upgrade us to Wifi@Home option for an additional $10/each per month. They also made us upgrade our phones and after much arguing agreed to replace one for free and one for $100 (Blackberry). Then they wanted to extend contract for 2 years. Again - after much arguing it was determined that contract would stay the same. We received the two phones that were suppose to resolve our problems around May 10, 2008. And that is when it just became a total nightmare.
We have since spent hours upon hours on the phone with TMobile technical support, customer support and account specialists. We have had each phone replaced twice (3 phones each in a month) which each time resulted in numerous arguments and more calls because they always extend the contract when they do this. Anyhow, as of today we have exhausted over 60 hours of phone support, gone through 6 phones total and have phones that lock up constantly, hard freeze, don't work at home, etc. Multiple issues.
I called again today trying to find a solution. Every solution from TMobile involves me spending more money for a different phone and then them adding 2 years to my contract. I have tried eveyr possible persuasion to cancel my account and it seems that without exception they will not cancel a contract even when they cannot provide hardware or cell service.
I am paying $140/month for service that I cannot use. My option is to pay $480 to exit my contract.

I had received a t mobile blackberry 8800 which was under warranty. T- mobile sent me to technical support to trouble shoot the issue. They could not fix the issue and transfered me to RIM for further the troubleshooting. The problem was found after being bounced back and forth from t- mobile to RIM. Finally after 4 hrs the senior technician at RIM explained that the issue was hardware related. RIM again transfered me to t-mobile to have the warranty instituted. T- mobile explained that the warranty did not apply due the fact that the phone was not purchased by me in the first place. I advised t- mobile that I only wanted to send the phone out to get it repaired and did not want a new phone. They explained that they did not have a repair center for the Blackberry 8800.
T mobile transfered me back to RIM and the RIM rep. explained that the contract with T mobile did not allow the phone to be repaired. They explained that they did not have a contract to have the phone repaired. The RIM rep then transfered me back to T- mobile to see if they would honor the warranty. T- mobile explained that RIM would be able to fix the phone and they did not know that RIM does not fix the blackberry 8800. The limited warranty states T- mobile assists it's customers by administering the phone manufacturer's warranty, by means of troubleshooting, repairing, and/ or providing replacement devices. The phone is still in warranty and yet they could not provide a center to have the phone repaired. After speaking with another RIM rep they stated that anyone with a Blackberry 8800 with t- mobile would not be able get it repaired.
After spending 6 hrs on the phone with numerous technicians and customer service reps. The phone is un-repairable not because of the defect but simply because neither company wants to repair it. The phone is $499.

I went in with my sons dad to tmobile. I had my own service which I wanted to cancel due to inconsistent billing, constant no service on phone, and busy lines that were inoperable. My sons dad had them switch the phone to his name instead of it being canceled outright and took responsibility for the bill. The phone was off at that time because i was behind on payments. He paid the bill in full and then the rep went on the phone and called customer service to make the switch. We had her do it because every time we dealt with customer service it got messed up. We were there for nearly 2 hours becasue therep could not understandwhat or how to make the switch. Even the store person got irritated and made a comment about the incompetence of the customer service person.
The store rep also made the switch effective so that there would not be a prorate and higher bill for him the next month.(Her idea). She also told me that I would have one bill left to pay that would be coming out in the next few days for about $123.00. I said ok and would pay that then. We left. I begin getting billed for 2 months in the amount of $243.00 instead of the one that she said.
When contacting tmobile I was given a story about being behind and paying past bill. When I told her that we had receipts showing the bill paid in full to that date I was then given a different reason about a prorate. Why would I have a prorate for ending a bill? Not less as a prorate would have been for early ending. Then they turned it over to Pinnalce Credit collectors who have yelled at me told me they know about the store vivsit becasue they have the paperwork and basically were there in the store.
I have offered to pay what I really owe, the $123.00 but been refused. I was told they would take $193.00 but refused to put it in writing. I am having ahard time financially and coming up with the $123.00 woud be hard but I would honor my obligation if they would honor theirs! Instead I get yelled at and told they will put it on my credit report and call me every day all day!
I have been charged twice for one month. On top of that Tmobile was paid for the second month by the person that took over my account so they are trying to be paid twice for the same bill by half. The Credit collector they turned it over to has called me 3 to 7 times a day every day and yells and threatens me.

After calling quite a few times during the 14-day return period, I finally stated I would like to return the phone but was told that it was the 15th day and could not return it due to buyers remorse. Please note, I did not want to return it because it didnt look the way I wanted, I wanted to return it because it did not function.
After three additional phones failed to work and hours I had to spend troubleshooting these phones - I was told by Customer Service that I could receive the FOURTH Dash the Blackberry 8800, as this phone is an authorized replacement under the warranty?. Please note, the 8800 was launched in April 2007 so I paid full price for a phone that is no longer offered in their stores. I would not have chosen the 8800 and I do not believe I should be required to keep this or a phone that has proven to be defective. Since there is a warranty, I would like to use this warranty to RETURN the phone and receive a full credit.
I did not have a phone that worked for over a month and spent countless hours on the phone with their tech department troubleshooting and customer service returning the defective phones and requesting that they let me return the phone for a full credit.

I then recieved notification of late fees and potential to be turned over to a collection agency. On June 6th, I received a letter from a debt collection company (DCI) who informed me they have none of those records and I would have to send them a protest in writing. I called Jessica at T-Mobile and she informed me that they do have the records of conversations and that she would handle everything. That is where we are at now.

I discovered today, after getting an $863.00 phone bill for one month, that their World Class Service means that the phone works in other countries, but that they charge you about $5.00 per minute for roaming.
No one tells you that when you're purchasing the phone, or when you call every month to hope for some kind of customer service. Luckily their text messaging service doesn't work either!
Their only suggestion is to purchase SIM cards from each country, however, the number will change every time, and we'll be charged long distance rates from each county. I will be switching his service to Verizon International today. Even if I have to pay a termination fee, it would be about $600.00 cheaper per month, than to continue to use TMobile service.

I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the situation was partially resolved until the representative at T-mobile lied to me and was very rude and defensive with me. Below is my final complaint to the Better Business Bureau.... As mentioned before they did not make good on the offer they made me of prorating the current bill. When I spoke with Pancho he said that my bill would not change until the following month (which to me would not seem like proration but rather the cost of the bill without the second line). It was a miscommunication on his part though I didn't think to ask because when I rented an apartment in the middle of the month they prorated the rent for the current month I moved in not the following.
Due to this miscommunication I was met with a hostile and defensive tone of voice and attitude of the T-mobile representative. When I asked if I could speak to someone else on the matter he said he has no supervisor and there is no one higher than him. When asked if he cared what the BBB would report about T-mobile he said we are not a member of the BBB, which from the way it was said leads me to believe he does not care what other think of T-mobile. All I wanted was for them to prorate the current bill and was met with rudeness. I was upset throughout the call but explained that I did appreicate that they cancelled the other line I just did not appreciate the customer service I was receiving from him.
I at this time wish to cancel the other line as well without a fee. If they refuse there is nothing more I can do about it other than share with others my T-mobile experience. What happened to me is just bad business. No one expects to have their husband leave and be in a poor financial state and then to be treated poorly because you are trying to pay your bills on time but that it requires you to try and cut corners. There is no compassion from a mutil-million or billion dollar company to help a person in need. I suppose if it meant a tax break they would help.
My financial situation has taken a turn for the worse and you never know when that is going to happen. This weekend my car broke down and now I have to decide will I buy the water pump so I can work or do I pay my phone bill?

Now I have a bill for 140.00$ heading for collections. They are looking at the system notes which do not match our conversations, and cannot provide a recording of the phone call. When they put me on suspension it was military- which I do not qualify for- the emails I have are inconsistent and I have to send several emails to get a reply.
I have paid every bill in my life- I will not pay this bill on principal. On 5/14/08 my cell phone was stolen. The person responsible for the theft made international phone calls totaling about $1300.00. After spending hours on the phone and calling T-mobile many times, they claim that I am responsible for all of the international charges despite the fact that in the entire time I have been a T-mobile customer (since 2004) I have never made an international call, nor has any one bill ever totaled an amount over 100 dollars. T-mobile sites a portion of the service contract that if the phone was stolen, I must alert T-mobile to have the service shut off. The Problem was that at the time I was unaware that fraudulent charges were being made as well as having an even more rare a frankly dire circumstance in which a family member had been hospitalized and I needed the service to be active incase someone needed to contact me.
During my conversation with T-mobile customer service, I received different responses from different representatives. Two representatives agreed to reduce the bill from around $1300.00 to a new balance of $390.00 if I agreed to sign a 2-year contract. In good faith and in attempt to rectify the situation, I agreed to pay the new amount and extend my contract for the full 2 years. 3 days later I was contacted again by the T-mobile Billing department claiming that I must pay a totally different balance of around $850.00 and that I would need to pay half now to avoid suspension of service. A few days after that, I received confirmation by mail that T-mobile had in fact extended my contract despite the fact that the bill had not been adjusted to the agreed amount.
After researching online I have come across countless blogs and articles by people with the same story, though there is little in the way of an actual road to resolution in this particular situation. At this point I am feeling a bit bullied, and unaware what steps I can take either legally or directly with T-mobile. I could really use some advice and help on the matter. This situation has cost me hours on the phone and Internet and if not resolved over $800.00 plus the threat of ruining my credit.

My phone is always in roaming cause their coverage is not great even i reside in area where it shows covered on their web-site. The problem is that I changed address couple months ago and didn't receive mail regarding cancellation even i changed my billing address online on their web-site. I never use paper bills anyway - i always check and pay bills online. NO ONE EVER CALLED ME, EMAILED OR TEXT MESSAGED ME ON MY PHONE! Even Keyla, girl from account department, claimed that they tried to call me but maybe i didn't answer or hang up on them. I asked her straight about date and time they called and she refused to provide such info since i wasn't calling from my T-mobile phone even though she verified my identity. What a joke!
Also, online billing address change seems to be not working. Anyway, not a big deal - i was ready to change provider anyway. I was T-Mobile loyal customer since 2004 and had 2 plans with them and never ever had late payments - i used automatic online payment. I really liked their service. It just leaves bitter taste when young girl shows you attitude on phone AFTER they close your account. The good thing she transfered me to another guy who was more professional and apologized as many times as he could and was polite and helpful. They told me they can re-activate my phone for 3 more days till i get new phone. But after 4 hrs still no signal -maybe will call them again.
I always liked T-Mobile customer service. I am not too much upset of cancellation since my phone really was on roaming many times and it's about time to get new phone anyway. The problem is they should show amount of time i was on roaming and what is the limit before they cancel service. I even don't remember on service agreement that they mentioned extreme roaming dumping. Also, I NEVER was notified in advance through mail (why they have my old address when i changed to new one on my online account? If their web-site is malfunctioning is it my fault?), text message, email or phone call (i asked them about exact date and time and they couldn't provide such info). And at least they could leave voice mail but they didn't. They disconnected my phone without proper notification.

This is not a service issue. T-Mobile's service itself is fine. Unfortunately, the billing and customer service section appear to run by a totalitarian. As I discovered, you must comply with every action and customers are simply not allowed to disagree with the corporation. If you do disagree as I did, you will find that T-Mobile will then literally shut down its customer service section, becomes extremely confrontational, ignores both the Better Business Bureau and FCC, and finally blocks access to your account in order to force your compliance.
This all started about two months ago when I signed up for T-Mobile and before I came down on orders for Iraq. Unfortunately, T-Mobile botched the initial bank draft that I had set up to pay the bill. When I attempted to call them and fix the issue, T-Mobile's system literally hung up on me. It took them three weeks to acknowledge that I had been hung up on, and then was told only, "We shut down from 10:00PM to 3:00AM." No apology, and after more than a month still no explanation for being hung up on 9:00AM. This inability to admit fault should have been a strong indicator of the lack of professionalism that was to follow.
Initially, I was not worried as all I had to do was send an email right? Wrong. After going through the password protected My T-Mobile, the customer service section refused to do anything unless I verified my identity. No problem? Nope, the information they wanted was my Social Security Number, and they wanted me to send it over an unsecure email. Attempts to explain how phishing and other email scams worked were literally ignored.
Nevertheless, I politely refused, asking for an alternate method as provided by the FCC, and was told, by several different agents, that it was the law, in fact it was an FCC requirement, and thus I had to send my SSN over an unsecure email. When I pulled, cited, and posted the actual FCC regulation for them that clearly stated that T-Mobile, or any other company, should not be using your SSN for identification purposes, I just kept getting passed around to different CS Reps.
After almost a month, I finally reached 'George' the CS manager. His first response was, "Gee, I'd love to help you, but you haven't given us your SSN so I really have no idea if it is you or not." Please remember, this is the manager, the guy that sets the tone for the entire department, and after a month this was the level of professionalism and maturity that any customer will face. In route to him, there were several CS Reps who were so rude and combative that I literally had to ask that they not be allowed to communicate with me ever again.
After pointing out to George that I had twice provided passwords, thereby meeting the FCC requirement to verify ID, as well as clearly spelling out the risk of ID theft from sending SSN information over the internet, George's response was, "Well, you'll just have to trust us then, as we have your best interests in mind." Exposing yourself to ID theft just before deploying into a war zone is a good idea? Though I realize the chances of ID theft are small, when there are available alternatives that have zero exposure to ID theft, it simply doesn't make sense for T-Mobile to ask for SSN. It makes even less sense to for them to force the use of SSN information.
When I continued to refuse, George, who clearly thinks he is sole arbitor of the situation, started passing the situation down to subordinates. When I attempted to have an Army attorney explain the FCC regulations to T-Mobile and force them to acknowledge the regulations, George simply disappeared. When I attempted to have the issue adjudicated by someone outside the customer service section, George activily blocked the issue from leaving the CS department. He also blocked access to my account, preventing me from even being able to pay my bills, or access information about my account, or the companies information.
When I offered several different ID verification methods, all supported by the FCC, that would not expose a client to ID theft, George failed repeatedly to respond. Now, because I went to a military attorney, just to get them to acknowledge what the law actually said, George has basically shut down the entire department (who continue to refuse me access to my own account on his orders), asking me to send, by letter, the issue to the legal department. He refuses to provide any ID information or supervisor information that might diffuse the situation.
So, now I am looking at having to sue T-Mobile to fix a botched bank draft from a war zone. The only progress I have made in this endeavor is that the CS department no longer claims that sending SSN information is an FCC requirement. I just have to do it. A worse example of corporate incompetence and abuse I cannot find. Well, I'm going to war, and I cannot pay my bill. I'm looking at having to sue an intractable corporation at a time when I should be looking at keeping my subordinates alive and repairing a war torn country. I'm not sure how to put that it economic terms, but morally, it certainly doesn't seem like a good thing.

I moved to Bluejacket, Oklahoma March 1, to live with my mother. I do not get coverage for T-Mobile there and contacted them to cancel my service. They looked up my coverage area and determined that I did not get adequate coverage and if I sent in some documentation showing where my new residence was, they would cancel the termination fees. After speaking with two customer service reps on the phone and faxing them my Rental Agreement, the matter was never resolved. I emailed customer service in May in order to have something in writing back from them and once again they asked that I provide passwords to my account and send in the Rental Agreement again. I did so and the response I received on May 27th is below:
"Dear Cheryl, Thank you for contacting the Online Customer Care Department at T-Mobile. My name is Kris, and it would be my pleasure to assist you today. I understand that you have attached the required documentation inorder to have your Early Termination Fees waived; and that you would like to have this matter closed once and for all. I would be happy to offer any assistance I can today Cheryl. After review, I regret to inform you that your account balance has been written off, and sent to an Outside Collection Agency, effective May 23rd, 2008.
"Unfortunately, once the account has been handed over to an OCA; we are not able to reverse the write-off status; nor are we able toremove the Early Termination Fees for the account. We do give you ample time to have these required documents in to us; however that time limit has now been exceeded. I do apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. The agency taking over the account is currently being assigned; and we should have these details within the next few business days.
"Thank you for your patience, and understanding. For your reference, I have updated your account with your new physical address; and your ex-husband should receive no further mailings for you. It is always disappointing to learn that we have lost one of our valued customers but I do understand that different circumstances and situations can create a need for a change in services. I am sure you areanxious to get this all sorted and I am happy to have a look into that for you. While I would like to look into the status of your account today Cheryl,I will first need to ask for a bit more information.

It definitely is not my fault the matter wasn't handled in a timely manner. I was never informed that I had a specific amount of time to send in my required documentation. After having faxed it in twice, I assumed that would be sufficient enough. Why are they not upheld to handle the matter in a timely fashion? I have kept copies of the faxes I sent in as well as the emails. This is ridiculous! My account has now been turned over to a collection agency!

I was mortified because I had paid my credit card bill along with my daughters school tuition out of my account. This caused me an overdraft fee and a bounced check fee for my daughter's school tuition. I ask for a refund and was told I would get one via US mail within 10 days. The manager then go to explain it was not T-mobile's fault because that was the amount due. Again, WTH. I made arrangements on the past due amount not the amount due on June 6th.
Unfortunately for Tmobile I am no longer a customer as of June 6th. They can have their high priced mobile plans and I know I could have done better with other cellular companies but I chose to stick with them. I have been a loyal customer since 2005. Hasta la vista T-Mobile!

I called T-Mobile's customer service today (May 27, 2008) about not getting coverage in my house. I was told about their Hotspot@Home product for $10 a month and the Blackberry Pearl 8120 for a discounted price of 199.00. I said that I would consider it if the waived the Hotspot@home charge. I was told they couldn't. I said I would consider it and call back later.
I called back and talked to a very friendly customer service rep who seemed sincerly interested in helping me. He said that my service was indeed poor in my area and that I could cancel without incurring the dreaded Early Termination Fee of $200.00. He asked me to wait while he talked with his manager. 5-10 minutes passed and he said he was going to transfer me to a rentention specialist who would cancel my service due to lack of cell phone coverage in my area. I waited on hold for at least 10 minutes only to be disconnected.
I called back and was eventually transfered to a retention specialist, who informed me (after repeating my problem now for the third time) that they would cancel my service and charge me the $200.00 fee. To be fair, she did offer me the Hotspot@home package for free and phone for $167.00. (perhaps locking me into a additional 2 year contract I assume). Well, I seem to be stuck with 1 bar of service outside around my house until my contract is up this October. Poor cell phone coverage. Unrealistic contract demands. $$$

We had talked to them on the phone previously and asked what color the dot was on the back of the phone. It was white. They said just bring it in and we will give you a new one. The 100 dollars was not authorized by us to withdraw from our account. Thank God we had enough to cover it and the rest of our bills. They said that they were in every right to take the money from our account by E-mail. Thanks Ken.

My wife bought a Razor phone in December 07 with the upgrade she was allowed on her plan. She asked the sales person if her plan would be affected or renewed by getting an upgrade on her phone and they told her no.
In Jan. 08 she was sent a letter that her plan was being renewed for 2 more years. We both called about this and were told that since she got a new phone her contract was being renewed for 2 more years (she was already well over a year into the original plan and wanted out when it expired for bad service). She told them that she did not want to be with them for 2 more years and that she only got the phone cause she was told she could get an upgrade on her phone with no strings attached. She is now stuck with 2 more years.
In Feb. her phone kept shutting off or her calls would be dropped, the phone would not charge, pressing the buttons on the phone would cause random dialing etc... the phone was damaged. She brought it into the dealer and they told her she had water damage. We took it elsewhere and they told her she didnt have water damage as the dot/bar on the back was still white. She said she had insurance and wanted it fixed or a replacement phone.
They told her if she did this they would have to charge her for the full price of the phone and renew her contract. She repeated she had insurance but they told her the problem was not something that is covered by her insurance. She went back to the place and person that told her it was water damage. They gave her a replacement phone and said insurance would cover the cost. On the next bill we were charged a little over 300 for a new phone, followed by a renewal letter of her contract. She took her number elsewhere and said it was cheaper to pay the cancellation fee.
After paying $200 per line to cancel with T-Mobile and returning the phone (3 days later) and told she would get a credit for the phone we have been sent to collections for $650 in fees for the phone/insurance fees cause of the damaged phone that didnt have water damage but was told did, the entire amount of the 2 year contract $1896 and other fees that we dont understand. We were told since we took our numbers elsewhere we did not cancel our plan correctly and owe what we would have paid for the 2 year plan.

I went over my the allotted minutes for my cell phone in my April billing cycle. I called 8 April and requested a new plan and asked that it be made retroactive. I received a bill for 419.24 and called to make sure that I was not going to be billed that amount. The person I spoke with said that I owed no money and that I would not be billed.
After I noticed that I was billed for the 419.24, I called and promptly requested a refund. The person on the line informed me that I could have it credited to my account by I couldn't have it refunded back to my card. After some persuasion on my part, she decided to refund my card, but not the full amount. Only $224.89 was refunded back to my account after two $39.00 overdraft fees and increased interest rates were incurred.
Their irresponsibility affects their customers and it is wrong. It takes minutes for them to renew a contract, take a payment, and incur additional charges. But it takes days to get it reversed in the customers favor. After all of this horrendous service, I tried to cancel my account without paying a cancellation fee. Who would blame me for refusing to keep them after such blatant acts of indifference? They don't care about me as a customer and because of that, I no longer want their services. I want to be let out of the contract. After having them as a provider for nearly 3 years, I should be let out of my contract.

Re: T-Mobil: Account Number: 536280627. Subject: T-Mobil conducting False Representation during a sales agreement and not fulfilling said agreement as promised. On December 14th 2007 I purchased two phones from the Wireless Rep at the Costco located in Dana Point/San Juan Capistrano. The sales pitch was stated that I would receive two $75 rebates and one $50 Costco Gift Card as part of the purchase to help offset the termination fees incurred from ATT by switching my existing ATT numbers to T-Mobil. The Sales Rep filled out the Rebate Forms and provided multiple copies of the receipts to include. All I needed to do was mail them in.
The phones were a Christmas present and we set it up to transfer the lines after Christmas. The temporary numbers were activated and I was given the Sales Rep's number to call when I was ready to switch the lines over. I called on December 26th 2007 and my ATT lines were switched over from ATT to T-Mobil. Wireless Advocate: Robert Location: San Juan Phone: 626-.
I then received two rejection letters from T-Mobile Rebate Offer on February 13th 2008. One letter stipulated that the rebate was not valid if the phones were purchased at a Wal-Mart, Target or Sam's Club. The other letter said that the numbers stated on the rebate form & were not active T-Mobile numbers. I called the Sales Rep Robert and he said that he would call T-Mobile. He contacted me back and said that there was a mix up with the numbers, that this happens all the time and to send the rebate forms in again. When I spoke to T-Mobile myself they stated that since I purchased the phones from Costco I was not eligible for the rebates.
On February 14th 2007 I called ATT because by then I was completely dissatisfied with service from T-Mobil. I was able to transfer service back to ATT and I had my original ATT lines transferred back to ATT from T-Mobil. I called T-Mobil on my first bill which was due on 2/10/08 for $216.71. I asked for any outstanding fees due and I paid the outstanding T-Mobile bill of $312.28. I received the hard copy of the 2nd bill a few days later that confirmed this amount.
I then received a 3rd bill around March 16th for an additional $462.20. I was being charged a $200 contract termination fee and a $20 one time charge for restore from suspended on both of the lines totaling a $440 fee. I was also billed an additional $18.00 monthly service fee and $4.20 taxes and surcharges. I will pay the remaining $22.20 charges for my usage but I will not pay the $440 fees incurred by transferring back to ATT. I have notified T-Mobil of this problem numerous times but they keep demanding payment in full and I continue to receive numerous phone calls on a weekly basis
T-Mobil did not fulfill the sales agreement presented to me upon purchase. I did not receive the Rebate rejection letters until well after the 14 day trial period. I have never received the rebates or gift card as promised. T-Mobil broke faith with this purchase agreement and I will not pay the penalty for their dishonesty.

I received a letter from T-Mobile informing me that effective May 28, 2008 my account would be closed. This letter is a letter of Modification of Service which went on to inform me that the majority of my calls were outside the network. I have been a loyal customer of T-Mobile's for more than 4 years and throughout this time and several contracts my calling patterns have not changed and yet now with still 5 months left on my current contract the company has elected to end my account without first informing me of the issue or giving me options to resolve their issue.
After receiving the letter I contacted my local authorized T-Mobile store and was sold the Hot Spot @ Home feature which I was told by the representative would resolve the issue. I was also sold a WiFi phone which I needed to use the service and signed a two year extention to my contract.
Several days after I took the iniative to find a successful resolution to T-Mobile's issue and with an additional cost to me of $10.00 per month to my bill, I received a call from Customer Service asking me what I intended to do regarding the Modification of Service letter that I was sent. I explained the actions that I had taken and what I was told by the T-Mobile representative and that I was told my actions had resolved the issue. The customer service representative put me on hold to check my file and came back on the phone and told me the authorized representative at the local T-Mobile store should not have allowed me to modify the contract or add the Hot Spot @ Home feature and that my account was going to be closed on May 28th.
I have been a loyal customer who has always paid my bill on time, I have never had a dispute with any charges incurred nor have I ever violated the terms of my contract. Yet T-Mobile can breech my contract at will, yet if I was to try and get out of the contract I would face severe financial penalties. I was brought up that if you entered a contractual agreement you were committed to the terms of the contract and that so long as you paid your bills on time and didn't violate the terms of your agreement then you would receive the service which you have paid to receive.
On May 28, 2008 my three T-Mobile phones will be rendered useless. T-Mobile is the only phone that I have so I will be left without a way to call for help in the event of an emergency. I also sit on the State of Maine Health Commission which oversees the health plan for 40,000 covered lives. My T-Mobile number is the number my constituents have to contact me with issues regarding their health care. Although T-Mobile will waive early termination fees I will be forced to purchase a new phone with another carrier, pay activation fees, enter into a service plan which from the plans that I have researched will cost me more money to get the same service that I am currently paying through T-Mobile. I have sent a letter to the Legal Department of T-Mobile but after two plus weeks since the letter was sent have yet to receive a response.

I got a new phone for my daughter and she has to go over 1 mile from her home to get a signal and now they tell her she would have to get a different phone, purchase some kind of equipment to go in the computer and pay an additional 10.00 to get her own tower, this is ridiculous I am paying for a service I do not get and if I want to cancel my contract is 200. per phone. I am fed up with T mobile transferring me to their technical department that does nothing for me.

I had service while in MI, but am dual-residenced also in TX. Had NO service in TX. Went to a T-Mobile dealer and was told that I was in the coverage area, but needed an upgrade to have use of my phone. I was told that it would not affect my status contractually, and that I had long passed the 2-year contract time. I had been a customer since Jan. 2003. I had surgery in TX, and needed to have use of my cell, and made that perfectly clear to T-Mobile. They showed me the coverage area on their computer, and it shows that I am within their range. My phone shows 4-5 bars signal, but reads Emergency Calls Only or No Network.
I filed a complaint with the company and had them do a mechanical check on the nearest tower. They said that it was working perfectly. I STILL had NO service! I called them on 5/12/08 to discontinue my dealings with them because they failed to deliver what they promised. The supervisor that I spoke with said that they don't guarantee that there won't be gaps in the coverage area and that I was within that area. I explained to her that it wasn't a gap, it was NO service at all. She refused to waive the $200 cancellation fee regardless of the facts. I said that I had been assured that I would not be held to a new contract and that I had already fulfilled my previous one. She said that by agreeing to upgrade-which I was forced to do because of lack of service-that I had agreed to extend my contract. I did no such thing.
I can't believe that they call this kind of treatment customer service! I had been an extremely loyal customer who paid on time, every month for over 5 years. I find this kind of business practice apalling and unfair.

When i contacted tmobile i was told that a woman stating to be my fathers girlfriend had called in to let them know that my address was incorrect. She also flagged my account with a comment saying that i hadnt talked to my father in 6 years and i need to call him to repair our relationship. Tmobile gave out my account information to a person stating that they were not on the account and allowed her to change my billing adress.
When i called to make a formal complaint they tried telling me that it was a new policy that just went into effect to not give out information unless you are the account holder. This is not a new policy. I have talked with other employees of their company who have been shocked that it even happened. furthermore tmobile doesnt have a corperate line to contact with complints, just the customer service one i had called many times.
I had an unpaid bill for 3 months that i was getting collection notices on which has damaged my credit. December of 2005 I purchased a Sidekick II from the T-mobile store on Wilshire; loved it - had to have it. A month after having it I started fooling around on the T-mobile site and looking at the options on the phone. Well, caller tunes looked fun so I signed up. When I did an icon appeared on the page that said Your caller tunes will expire a year after purchase. Sounds great, right? I will come back to this.. So, about a year into my sidekick I have to call T-mobile sidekick support because my phone is janky. When I call I am told to do a hard reset on the phone and basically that became the demise of that phone; 1-8-7. I was told that I had to file for a new phone with a separate company, Assurion, which honestly is an ENTIRE SEPARATE COMPLAINT.
I call, I tell them what happened and then they say, 110 dollars, please. Of course I am not paying that money on a phone that I DIDN'T explode via subliminal voodoo text support. So, I paid on my base bill for 1/2 a month (while I didn't have a phone that worked) while I waited for T-Mobile to respond to my BBB complaint. And they did, they made that credit but a few months later I found out that my 110 dollars went to buy a REFURBISHED sidekick? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
I complain again and they basically pat me on the head and say HA HA, JOKES ON YOU, SON! Why did I stay? Because of the Sidekicks options. Around two-years later the refurbished phone goes kaput, naturally and the only way they should go is when the owner takes it out, which I did. I bypass T-mobile all together and go right to Assurion. I know this is going to be 110 dollars but I am very, very, very clear that I do no want a refurbished phone. Unfortunately, I am told that they no longer carry the Sidekick II and they only have the III and lucky for me I am up for an upgrade!! I don't want the III, it seems cheap.. I want the sturdy II that can withstand my key chain in my purse and when I put large amounts of paperwork in my bag. I DO NOT WANT A PHONE WHO'S KEYPAD COULD COME OFF!
This rep then tells me that she has one left, it is a refurbished phone and that I can have that one if I like. Again, I have to say yes because this is what I want. I get it around 5 days later (I still paid on my base account on those 5 days I didn't make or get a call) and the phone came. Inspected it, looked good but began to have a SIM card problem. I called T-mobile and they told me I could buy another SIM card at any store but I was worried about all the money I had spent on the programs on my phone (you had to pay for a calculator back in the day and I wanted that damned thing back! plus, I had mass games on there.) I take it to the T-Mobile store near my house in the Westside Pavilion and one of the workers is like You're SIM is fine but here is a SIM card that you can take with you to verify. I put that second SIM card in at home and called T-mobile from another phone and basically got Call Assurion, the got you that phone. Teeter-totter! I called Assurion and they said they will send out another phone ASAP.
This is around last Christmas when this phone shows, and I know because I get it and put the SIM card in and my son slices his head open and my day then becomes a trip to the ER. While I am there I decided to download all those games I once purchased so him and I can play them while we are waiting in between doctors. On leaving the E.R., a four hour trip, THAT PHONE goes kaput. Ah, man, I can not even tell you how frustrating that moment was. Over the holidays I went without a phone simply because both parties are too hard to deal with and I didn't want to ruin the spirit, sounds corny but I respect it and I waited till January to call either company back again. When I called Assurion I was told that I could have an OG Sidekick II from the actual supplier (I think that T-mobile bought out Danger Inc.)
I get this OG model that I currently have today that had way more wear on it than normal. WAY MORE but I deal with it because it works, right? I wrote an Email to T-mobile telling them I wanted a refund for my minutes I didn't use and I wanted to get credit on all the games I had downloaded to my SIM card. I got a 15 dollar credit towards my NEXT billing cycle. Thanks. And to top it all off, this phone has an issue with the shift button and doesn't allow me to use symbols in business emails. I can't or , or # or ; because the SHIFT key is jacked. So, while reviewing my relationship with T-mobile I went to review my bills and LOW AND BEHOLD...... I have been paying on caller tunes for 3 years while NOT EVEN USING IT. T-Mobile, thank you for being such an amazing relationship. Please pack your bags and get out of my life. I am actually submitting this again, for the 2nd time, to BBB.
Frustration. I've lost time and calls. You can't look professional with equipment and the service I was given. There were a few nights I could of been left out with my son on the highway or street with no phone when there was no daylight. Family couldn't contact me (other than the Holidays because they were here.) Financially I have lost 1.99 for the past 2 years and 5.99 in multiple downloads.

I've had my sidekick 3 since Sept. 'O7 and have been having problems with it ever since. Although it sounds like this is a benefit to me. My minutes wernt running. Everytime I asked to them check how many I've used they could never tell me. My screen would freeze calls can't come in a piece on the phone pops off when I flip the screen open. I've called them so many times about diffrent issues with the phone.
They switched out my phone after me crying and hollering. I told them I was thinking about cancelling my contract but I never told them to cut it off. They cut it off I had to go to my dads to get it back on. I'm still not able to receive my phone calls even with the new phone. I wanted them to upgrade the phone and not give me the same phone since I've been havin troubles ever since I got it. I want out! Or a better phone.
I'm a stylist and I have to take those calls no calls no money. I can't keep leavin a voicemail sayin my phone isn't workin all u can do is leave a message or send me a text.

I am being charged a $200 termination fee because I cancelled rather than suspended my contract because I had my phone stolen - even though I initiated a new 2-year contract and purchased another phone. I explained that I was NOT informed of this at the time I created my new contract - which was three months ago! Only now am I being charged this fee. I requested they pull up the recording of the phone call and gave them the date. Still nothing! I spoke with supervisor after supervisor, sent emails, etc. to no avail.
I am a single mom without child support. i cannot afford this charge and even if I did, I would still refuse to pay it. Add to that the four plus hours of phone calls and emails.

May 3, 2008 To Whom It May Concern; I have been a T-mobile customer since 2004 and was relatively satisfied with my service until the last few months. I moved to Phoenix, AZ and work in a local hospital where I take call 4 nights a week for emergency procedures. I started noticing problems with my service and coverage around the first of the year. I called in to T-mobile countless times for help with the difficulties I was experiencing, which is all documented in my account. Everyone I spoke with kept me on the phone for extended periods of time, all trying the same things with no success.
We power-cycled my phone, reset the factory settings, tried a different phone, new SIM card, put in 2 engineering help tickets, but nothing resolved the issues of my phone not having service in certain areas and it not ringing even though I showed I had coverage. I explained to the representatives and supervisor that being a medical professional on call, I can not have a phone that does not work. I was at one point told by a representative that if trying a new SIM card didnt work that I should be able to cancel my service without paying the $200.00 early termination fee since the problems I was experiencing could not be remedied.
When I went to cancel my service, this was not the case. Even after going through everything that T-mobile suggested I do to fix the problem, I was told by a supervisor that the fee would not be waived because your coverage map showed I had service at my home. The reason people have mobile phones is so that they can use them when they are not in their homes. I was appalled by the lack of understanding and the difficulty I went through trying to take care of this situation. I have done everything that T-Mobile required me to do to resolve this issue.
I will not be paying the $200.00 cancellation fee and I will be forwarding this letter to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General. I want the cancellation fee removed from my account immediately. I appreciate your help in this matter and hope that after this situation is remedied I can still say that T-Mobile was a great company to have service through. If the fee is not waived, I will be forced to take further action.

I switch my cell phone plan from cingular to T-Mobile. Bad decision, cingular had ways to stop text message service, if you did not want it! Not, T-Mobile. Received a message about drugs (coke) this person wanted some and i don't deal drugs. Took it straight to the police department and signed charges on the sender. Now, something about a gas strike on May 2. Enough is enough, and why would you go and change your number to pay another fee? Can the FCC do something or who?
I'M BEING CHARGED .15 CENTS FOR EACH TEXT MESSAGE SENT/RECEIVED TO ME. BY PEOPLE I DON'T KNOW AND I'M STILL LIABLE FOR THESE AND ALL OTHER CHARGES.

I have been a loyal T-Mobile customer since the fall of 2006. I have paid my bills either earlier than need or on time. Since being a customer with T-Mobile i have acquired credit with the company, they have also raised my credit score. Also in the fall of 2006 i moved to the State of Montana from Washington. I opened my own company that following spring and still have it.
On April 23, 2008 T-Mobile Send me a letter entitled SERVICE MODIFICATION SCHEDULED. Basically what this letter stated was that because a very high percentege of my calling was roaming off the T-Mobile network that they would be terminating my account as of May 28, 2008. In the letter it also stated that T-mobile would waive any cancellation fees associated with my account. But if i wanted to keep my number and moved to another carrier before May 28, 2008 i would be responsible for all charges prior to the cancellation date. Once i received this letter i called the T-Mobile off Number that was in my letter and explained to them that i had come out to Montana to Run a company, and that as of June 30th the company would be sold and i would be returning to Seattle in the Beginning of July. I asked if they could please waive this letter and explained to them how well of a customer i had been and if i was paying my bill why it would matter where i was. The person on the phone said that she was sorry but she could not do anything for me, and that my account would be terminated effective May 28, 2008.
With T-mobile Terminating my account my business will suffer greatly in the Month of June. I have a total of 5 Catering events in the amount of 300 people for each event. With the Termination of this account i will have to hurry and try to find another phone (most likely pre paid for that month) so that my clients & employees can reach. but for them to be able to reach me i have to spend time sending out mass e-mails to all family, friends, clients, and employees to make sure they know of this change. Also any business that i could have had in the month of June will now not happen because any business cards that are out are now Obsolete and i could potentially lose Thousands of dollars because people will not know how to reach me. So for T-mobile to Terminate my account will not only affect my personal life but will in fact possibly ruin my Business because people will not be able to reach me.

I do have the phone I do not want it and they won't issue me a refund. 2nd The bill is to be 39.99 plus $5.00 for text messaging They keep billing for ereoneous charges. 3rd They do not provide the coverage they claim and I would like to Cancel without fees.
By the way I never renewed my coverage they decided it will be over sometime in 2009. I took a one year contract When I started. Please look into this for me. Thanking you for your help with this matter.

I have inconsistence service with my cell phone network, it is usually searching for network service half the time. I have decided I deserve better service for my money, so I'd like to cancel my contract with T-Mobile. However, I must pay $400.00 to disconnect my service. So I am stuck with two negative options. I have to pay to disconnect due to lack of service or continue to pay for bad service. Either way I am stuck with losing money. T-Mobile management told me there is nothing they can do about reception and that they cannot guarantee reception anywhere.
The consequences are I have to pay to disconnect or to continue to pay for bad service. So in the end they get there money and I still do not have a cell phone that I can rely on.

I have been a customer since before 1993 and T-mobile has worked out fine for the most part. However, I started noticing problems around June of 2007. The most frustrating of the problems is the ongoing issue with incoming calls not coming through. Whenever I am at home, I get no calls from any of my callers instead, they get a no answer and if they leave a voice mail, my phone signals me.
I have also seen repeated dial-out errors like connection error or no network or connection failed etc. The signal bars on the phone are not steady but a lot of times the number of bars do not affect the call problems. I have had many long conversations with customer care without any resolution. They have made stupid suggestions like you need to power cycle your phone several times a day or replace your battery or change your CIM card or even the phone is outdated (they were still selling the phone). I did try all of these suggestions but as expected, nothing solved the problem. They claim that the signal quality is Good but my area is scheduled for an upgrade in the next 6 months. It is now more than 6 months and nothing has changed. So I am asking then to either fix the problem or release me from the contract. They refuse to do either.
Since I work from home and frequently on the road, it is crucial that people get in touch with me. A missed call could cost me a deal. I also have a child away from home and this is the most efficient way to be in touch. Besides this, I am paying $135 a month for a service that I am not getting. T-mobile claims that their service agreement does not guaranty service?? Go figure?
