We have been suspended several times for them loosing our payments. We called them to discuss it agian for the fourth month and there was a very rude manager. She told me to shut up so i could hear what she might could do, then said to send all of my paymemt recients to her, not to mention that i did the same thing last month. I faxed in four different months of reciepts. Still it doesnt seem to matter.
We have lost business from them, we depend on our phones for our company and we lost a 8700.00 contract last month due to suspened services. this month we lost 2800.00 due to tmobile not to mention my four children depend on us having our phones./

I went in with my sons dad to tmobile. I had my own service which I wanted to cancel due to inconsistent billing, constant no service on phone, and busy lines that were inoperable. My sons dad had them switch the phone to his name instead of it being canceled outright and took responsibility for the bill. The phone was off at that time because i was behind on payments. He paid the bill in full and then the rep went on the phone and called customer service to make the switch. We had her do it because every time we dealt with customer service it got messed up. We were there for nearly 2 hours becasue therep could not understandwhat or how to make the switch. Even the store person got irritated and made a comment about the incompetence of the customer service person.
The store rep also made the switch effective so that there would not be a prorate and higher bill for him the next month.(Her idea). She also told me that I would have one bill left to pay that would be coming out in the next few days for about $123.00. I said ok and would pay that then. We left. I begin getting billed for 2 months in the amount of $243.00 instead of the one that she said.
When contacting tmobile I was given a story about being behind and paying past bill. When I told her that we had receipts showing the bill paid in full to that date I was then given a different reason about a prorate. Why would I have a prorate for ending a bill? Not less as a prorate would have been for early ending. Then they turned it over to Pinnalce Credit collectors who have yelled at me told me they know about the store vivsit becasue they have the paperwork and basically were there in the store.
I have offered to pay what I really owe, the $123.00 but been refused. I was told they would take $193.00 but refused to put it in writing. I am having ahard time financially and coming up with the $123.00 woud be hard but I would honor my obligation if they would honor theirs! Instead I get yelled at and told they will put it on my credit report and call me every day all day!
I have been charged twice for one month. On top of that Tmobile was paid for the second month by the person that took over my account so they are trying to be paid twice for the same bill by half. The Credit collector they turned it over to has called me 3 to 7 times a day every day and yells and threatens me.

In April 2008, I paid over $230 for a T-Mobile Dash and received three dysfunctional phones (one did not work as a phone, one would not allow me to exit the outbox of my text messages so I could not send/receive, the Microsoft Office functions did not work, and the list goes on). After calling quite a few times during the 14-day return period, I finally stated I would like to return the phone but was told that it was the 15th day and could not return it due to buyers remorse. Please note, I did not want to return it because it didnt look the way I wanted, I wanted to return it because it did not function.
After three additional phones failed to work and hours I had to spend troubleshooting these phones - I was told by Customer Service that I could receive the FOURTH Dash the Blackberry 8800, as this phone is an authorized replacement under the warranty?. Please note, the 8800 was launched in April 2007 so I paid full price for a phone that is no longer offered in their stores. I would not have chosen the 8800 and I do not believe I should be required to keep this or a phone that has proven to be defective. Since there is a warranty, I would like to use this warranty to RETURN the phone and receive a full credit.
I did not have a phone that worked for over a month and spent countless hours on the phone with their tech department troubleshooting and customer service returning the defective phones and requesting that they let me return the phone for a full credit.

I ordered a new phone over the phone and was told I would be getting a $50 rebate, now I am being told that I will not be getting a refund after I paid the bill. I was told in no uncertain terms that this rebate would be given to me.
This has called a financial hardship, I can not afford to throw away an extra, unplanned $50 on a cell phone.

I canceled my service in January. They still sent me bills. I contacted Warren first and was promised it would be handled. I then recieved notification of late fees and potential to be turned over to a collection agency. I immediately called T-Mobile and spoke with Denita who said she saw in my file where I hand canceled, and was once again assured everything would be handled.
On June 6th, I received a letter from a debt collection company (DCI) who informed me they have none of those records and I would have to send them a protest in writing. I called Jessica at T-Mobile and she informed me that they do have the records of conversations and that she would handle everything. That is where we are at now.
I have a near perfect credit rating and this is affecting that. It is absurd that a company does not take responsibility and check files before sending them to collections.

I purchased a hot spot at phone from T-mobile. This replaced my land line phone. The calls come through my cable and then go to a router and tie into my wired home phones. I have had the service for about 3 months. In that time I have had to reset my modem 6-8 times. I had to do this because either I noticed my phone was not working or someone contacted me via cell phone or email that they couldn't call.
About 6-8 times resetting my modem did not resolve the problem and I had to spend hours on the phone with T-mobile waiting for them to reset something on their end. I now have an unreliable land line phone and 3 cell phones that get service only if we are in one corner of the house standing on one leg and exhaling. I can't get out of the service for another 20 months. Does someone have a T-mobile number or address to contact to talk with someone with the power to compensate?
No phone service. People calling and being told they have to type in a pin number. No dial tone.

Since I already owned the T-mobile phone through their pay as you go option they said I could just change the sim card and I paid to have one sent to me.
When the card arrived today I went to active it and was told the plan sold to me actually expired 2 months ago and T-Mobile refused to honor the agreement. So, they sold me a plan which doesn't exist.

I purchased the advertised World Class Service from TMobile for my only child who is traveling in South America. I discovered today, after getting an $863.00 phone bill for one month, that their World Class Service means that the phone works in other countries, but that they charge you about $5.00 per minute for roaming.
No one tells you that when you're purchasing the phone, or when you call every month to hope for some kind of customer service. Luckily their text messaging service doesn't work either!
Their only suggestion is to purchase SIM cards from each country, however, the number will change every time, and we'll be charged long distance rates from each county. I will be switching his service to Verizon International today. Even if I have to pay a termination fee, it would be about $600.00 cheaper per month, than to continue to use TMobile service.

I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the situation was partially resolved until the representative at T-mobile lied to me and was very rude and defensive with me. Below is my final complaint to the Better Business Bureau.... As mentioned before they did not make good on the offer they made me of prorating the current bill. When I spoke with Pancho he said that my bill would not change until the following month (which to me would not seem like proration but rather the cost of the bill without the second line). It was a miscommunication on his part though I didn't think to ask because when I rented an apartment in the middle of the month they prorated the rent for the current month I moved in not the following.
Due to this miscommunication I was met with a hostile and defensive tone of voice and attitude of the T-mobile representative. When I asked if I could speak to someone else on the matter he said he has no supervisor and there is no one higher than him. When asked if he cared what the BBB would report about T-mobile he said we are not a member of the BBB, which from the way it was said leads me to believe he does not care what other think of T-mobile. All I wanted was for them to prorate the current bill and was met with rudeness. I was upset throughout the call but explained that I did appreicate that they cancelled the other line I just did not appreciate the customer service I was receiving from him.
I at this time wish to cancel the other line as well without a fee. If they refuse there is nothing more I can do about it other than share with others my T-mobile experience. What happened to me is just bad business. No one expects to have their husband leave and be in a poor financial state and then to be treated poorly because you are trying to pay your bills on time but that it requires you to try and cut corners. There is no compassion from a mutil-million or billion dollar company to help a person in need. I suppose if it meant a tax break they would help.
My financial situation has taken a turn for the worse and you never know when that is going to happen. This weekend my car broke down and now I have to decide will I buy the water pump so I can work or do I pay my phone bill?

I went on vacation to Europe for about 4 months, that was the plan-I am living in the Czech Republic. Before I left I canceled my account, I was past my 2 year contract with T-Mobile. While on the phone I inquired about keeping my number- they informed me about suspension-however because I canceled my account if I did not call back in 3 months I would lose the number because my account was canceled.
Now I have a bill for 140.00$ heading for collections. They are looking at the system notes which do not match our conversations, and cannot provide a recording of the phone call. When they put me on suspension it was military- which I do not qualify for- the emails I have are inconsistent and I have to send several emails to get a reply.
I have paid every bill in my life- I will not pay this bill on principal. However it will effect my credit report- I view it as slander and will cause economic hardship with future employment and loans. They do not have a contract- no record of the phone call- and I am being blackmailed into paying for a bill.

On 5/14/08 my cell phone was stolen. The person responsible for the theft made international phone calls totaling about $1300.00. After spending hours on the phone and calling T-mobile many times, they claim that I am responsible for all of the international charges despite the fact that in the entire time I have been a T-mobile customer (since 2004) I have never made an international call, nor has any one bill ever totaled an amount over 100 dollars. T-mobile sites a portion of the service contract that if the phone was stolen, I must alert T-mobile to have the service shut off. The Problem was that at the time I was unaware that fraudulent charges were being made as well as having an even more rare a frankly dire circumstance in which a family member had been hospitalized and I needed the service to be active incase someone needed to contact me.
During my conversation with T-mobile customer service, I received different responses from different representatives. Two representatives agreed to reduce the bill from around $1300.00 to a new balance of $390.00 if I agreed to sign a 2-year contract. In good faith and in attempt to rectify the situation, I agreed to pay the new amount and extend my contract for the full 2 years. 3 days later I was contacted again by the T-mobile Billing department claiming that I must pay a totally different balance of around $850.00 and that I would need to pay half now to avoid suspension of service. A few days after that, I received confirmation by mail that T-mobile had in fact extended my contract despite the fact that the bill had not been adjusted to the agreed amount.
After researching online I have come across countless blogs and articles by people with the same story, though there is little in the way of an actual road to resolution in this particular situation. At this point I am feeling a bit bullied, and unaware what steps I can take either legally or directly with T-mobile. I could really use some advice and help on the matter. This situation has cost me hours on the phone and Internet and if not resolved over $800.00 plus the threat of ruining my credit.

On 05/29/08 I discovered that I am not getting any signal on my T-Mobile phone. I tried to login online but got message that my account is inactive. I called customer service and they told me that my account is deactivated due to extreme amount of roaming calls. Dah! My phone is always in roaming cause their coverage is not great even i reside in area where it shows covered on their web-site. The problem is that I changed address couple months ago and didn't receive mail regarding cancellation even i changed my billing address online on their web-site. I never use paper bills anyway - i always check and pay bills online. NO ONE EVER CALLED ME, EMAILED OR TEXT MESSAGED ME ON MY PHONE! Even Keyla, girl from account department, claimed that they tried to call me but maybe i didn't answer or hang up on them. I asked her straight about date and time they called and she refused to provide such info since i wasn't calling from my T-mobile phone even though she verified my identity. What a joke!
Also, online billing address change seems to be not working. Anyway, not a big deal - i was ready to change provider anyway. I was T-Mobile loyal customer since 2004 and had 2 plans with them and never ever had late payments - i used automatic online payment. I really liked their service. It just leaves bitter taste when young girl shows you attitude on phone AFTER they close your account. The good thing she transfered me to another guy who was more professional and apologized as many times as he could and was polite and helpful. They told me they can re-activate my phone for 3 more days till i get new phone. But after 4 hrs still no signal -maybe will call them again.
I always liked T-Mobile customer service. I am not too much upset of cancellation since my phone really was on roaming many times and it's about time to get new phone anyway. The problem is they should show amount of time i was on roaming and what is the limit before they cancel service. I even don't remember on service agreement that they mentioned extreme roaming dumping. Also, I NEVER was notified in advance through mail (why they have my old address when i changed to new one on my online account? If their web-site is malfunctioning is it my fault?), text message, email or phone call (i asked them about exact date and time and they couldn't provide such info). And at least they could leave voice mail but they didn't. They disconnected my phone without proper notification.

This is not a service issue. T-Mobile's service itself is fine. Unfortunately, the billing and customer service section appear to run by a totalitarian. As I discovered, you must comply with every action and customers are simply not allowed to disagree with the corporation. If you do disagree as I did, you will find that T-Mobile will then literally shut down its customer service section, becomes extremely confrontational, ignores both the Better Business Bureau and FCC, and finally blocks access to your account in order to force your compliance.
This all started about two months ago when I signed up for T-Mobile and before I came down on orders for Iraq. Unfortunately, T-Mobile botched the initial bank draft that I had set up to pay the bill. When I attempted to call them and fix the issue, T-Mobile's system literally hung up on me. It took them three weeks to acknowledge that I had been hung up on, and then was told only, "We shut down from 10:00PM to 3:00AM." No apology, and after more than a month still no explanation for being hung up on 9:00AM. This inability to admit fault should have been a strong indicator of the lack of professionalism that was to follow.
Initially, I was not worried as all I had to do was send an email right? Wrong. After going through the password protected My T-Mobile, the customer service section refused to do anything unless I verified my identity. No problem? Nope, the information they wanted was my Social Security Number, and they wanted me to send it over an unsecure email. Attempts to explain how phishing and other email scams worked were literally ignored.
Nevertheless, I politely refused, asking for an alternate method as provided by the FCC, and was told, by several different agents, that it was the law, in fact it was an FCC requirement, and thus I had to send my SSN over an unsecure email. When I pulled, cited, and posted the actual FCC regulation for them that clearly stated that T-Mobile, or any other company, should not be using your SSN for identification purposes, I just kept getting passed around to different CS Reps.
After almost a month, I finally reached 'George' the CS manager. His first response was, "Gee, I'd love to help you, but you haven't given us your SSN so I really have no idea if it is you or not." Please remember, this is the manager, the guy that sets the tone for the entire department, and after a month this was the level of professionalism and maturity that any customer will face. In route to him, there were several CS Reps who were so rude and combative that I literally had to ask that they not be allowed to communicate with me ever again.
After pointing out to George that I had twice provided passwords, thereby meeting the FCC requirement to verify ID, as well as clearly spelling out the risk of ID theft from sending SSN information over the internet, George's response was, "Well, you'll just have to trust us then, as we have your best interests in mind." Exposing yourself to ID theft just before deploying into a war zone is a good idea? Though I realize the chances of ID theft are small, when there are available alternatives that have zero exposure to ID theft, it simply doesn't make sense for T-Mobile to ask for SSN. It makes even less sense to for them to force the use of SSN information.
When I continued to refuse, George, who clearly thinks he is sole arbitor of the situation, started passing the situation down to subordinates. When I attempted to have an Army attorney explain the FCC regulations to T-Mobile and force them to acknowledge the regulations, George simply disappeared. When I attempted to have the issue adjudicated by someone outside the customer service section, George activily blocked the issue from leaving the CS department. He also blocked access to my account, preventing me from even being able to pay my bills, or access information about my account, or the companies information.
When I offered several different ID verification methods, all supported by the FCC, that would not expose a client to ID theft, George failed repeatedly to respond. Now, because I went to a military attorney, just to get them to acknowledge what the law actually said, George has basically shut down the entire department (who continue to refuse me access to my own account on his orders), asking me to send, by letter, the issue to the legal department. He refuses to provide any ID information or supervisor information that might diffuse the situation.
So, now I am looking at having to sue T-Mobile to fix a botched bank draft from a war zone. The only progress I have made in this endeavor is that the CS department no longer claims that sending SSN information is an FCC requirement. I just have to do it. A worse example of corporate incompetence and abuse I cannot find. Well, I'm going to war, and I cannot pay my bill. I'm looking at having to sue an intractable corporation at a time when I should be looking at keeping my subordinates alive and repairing a war torn country. I'm not sure how to put that it economic terms, but morally, it certainly doesn't seem like a good thing.

It definitely is not my fault the matter wasn't handled in a timely manner. I was never informed that I had a specific amount of time to send in my required documentation. After having faxed it in twice, I assumed that would be sufficient enough. Why are they not upheld to handle the matter in a timely fashion? I have kept copies of the faxes I sent in as well as the emails. This is ridiculous! My account has now been turned over to a collection agency!

I was mortified because I had paid my credit card bill along with my daughters school tuition out of my account. This caused me an overdraft fee and a bounced check fee for my daughter's school tuition. I ask for a refund and was told I would get one via US mail within 10 days. The manager then go to explain it was not T-mobile's fault because that was the amount due. Again, WTH. I made arrangements on the past due amount not the amount due on June 6th.
Unfortunately for Tmobile I am no longer a customer as of June 6th. They can have their high priced mobile plans and I know I could have done better with other cellular companies but I chose to stick with them. I have been a loyal customer since 2005. Hasta la vista T-Mobile!

I called T-Mobile's customer service today (May 27, 2008) about not getting coverage in my house. I was told about their Hotspot@Home product for $10 a month and the Blackberry Pearl 8120 for a discounted price of 199.00. I said that I would consider it if the waived the Hotspot@home charge. I was told they couldn't. I said I would consider it and call back later.
I called back and talked to a very friendly customer service rep who seemed sincerly interested in helping me. He said that my service was indeed poor in my area and that I could cancel without incurring the dreaded Early Termination Fee of $200.00. He asked me to wait while he talked with his manager. 5-10 minutes passed and he said he was going to transfer me to a rentention specialist who would cancel my service due to lack of cell phone coverage in my area. I waited on hold for at least 10 minutes only to be disconnected.
I called back and was eventually transfered to a retention specialist, who informed me (after repeating my problem now for the third time) that they would cancel my service and charge me the $200.00 fee. To be fair, she did offer me the Hotspot@home package for free and phone for $167.00. (perhaps locking me into a additional 2 year contract I assume). Well, I seem to be stuck with 1 bar of service outside around my house until my contract is up this October. Poor cell phone coverage. Unrealistic contract demands. $$$

I got a bill in the mail. I noticed that they took out of my bank account 100.00 more dollars. because they said that the phone we had retured was water damaged. We had talked to them on the phone previously and asked what color the dot was on the back of the phone. It was white. They said just bring it in and we will give you a new one. The 100 dollars was not authorized by us to withdraw from our account. Thank God we had enough to cover it and the rest of our bills. They said that they were in every right to take the money from our account by E-mail. Thanks Ken.

My wife bought a Razor phone in December 07 with the upgrade she was allowed on her plan. She asked the sales person if her plan would be affected or renewed by getting an upgrade on her phone and they told her no.
In Jan. 08 she was sent a letter that her plan was being renewed for 2 more years. We both called about this and were told that since she got a new phone her contract was being renewed for 2 more years (she was already well over a year into the original plan and wanted out when it expired for bad service). She told them that she did not want to be with them for 2 more years and that she only got the phone cause she was told she could get an upgrade on her phone with no strings attached. She is now stuck with 2 more years.
In Feb. her phone kept shutting off or her calls would be dropped, the phone would not charge, pressing the buttons on the phone would cause random dialing etc... the phone was damaged. She brought it into the dealer and they told her she had water damage. We took it elsewhere and they told her she didnt have water damage as the dot/bar on the back was still white. She said she had insurance and wanted it fixed or a replacement phone.
They told her if she did this they would have to charge her for the full price of the phone and renew her contract. She repeated she had insurance but they told her the problem was not something that is covered by her insurance. She went back to the place and person that told her it was water damage. They gave her a replacement phone and said insurance would cover the cost. On the next bill we were charged a little over 300 for a new phone, followed by a renewal letter of her contract. She took her number elsewhere and said it was cheaper to pay the cancellation fee.
After paying $200 per line to cancel with T-Mobile and returning the phone (3 days later) and told she would get a credit for the phone we have been sent to collections for $650 in fees for the phone/insurance fees cause of the damaged phone that didnt have water damage but was told did, the entire amount of the 2 year contract $1896 and other fees that we dont understand. We were told since we took our numbers elsewhere we did not cancel our plan correctly and owe what we would have paid for the 2 year plan.

I went over my the allotted minutes for my cell phone in my April billing cycle. I called 8 April and requested a new plan and asked that it be made retroactive. I received a bill for 419.24 and called to make sure that I was not going to be billed that amount. The person I spoke with said that I owed no money and that I would not be billed.
After I noticed that I was billed for the 419.24, I called and promptly requested a refund. The person on the line informed me that I could have it credited to my account by I couldn't have it refunded back to my card. After some persuasion on my part, she decided to refund my card, but not the full amount. Only $224.89 was refunded back to my account after two $39.00 overdraft fees and increased interest rates were incurred.
Their irresponsibility affects their customers and it is wrong. It takes minutes for them to renew a contract, take a payment, and incur additional charges. But it takes days to get it reversed in the customers favor. After all of this horrendous service, I tried to cancel my account without paying a cancellation fee. Who would blame me for refusing to keep them after such blatant acts of indifference? They don't care about me as a customer and because of that, I no longer want their services. I want to be let out of the contract. After having them as a provider for nearly 3 years, I should be let out of my contract.

Re: T-Mobil: Account Number: 536280627. Subject: T-Mobil conducting False Representation during a sales agreement and not fulfilling said agreement as promised. On December 14th 2007 I purchased two phones from the Wireless Rep at the Costco located in Dana Point/San Juan Capistrano. The sales pitch was stated that I would receive two $75 rebates and one $50 Costco Gift Card as part of the purchase to help offset the termination fees incurred from ATT by switching my existing ATT numbers to T-Mobil. The Sales Rep filled out the Rebate Forms and provided multiple copies of the receipts to include. All I needed to do was mail them in.
The phones were a Christmas present and we set it up to transfer the lines after Christmas. The temporary numbers were activated and I was given the Sales Rep's number to call when I was ready to switch the lines over. I called on December 26th 2007 and my ATT lines were switched over from ATT to T-Mobil. Wireless Advocate: Robert Location: San Juan Phone: 626-.
I then received two rejection letters from T-Mobile Rebate Offer on February 13th 2008. One letter stipulated that the rebate was not valid if the phones were purchased at a Wal-Mart, Target or Sam's Club. The other letter said that the numbers stated on the rebate form & were not active T-Mobile numbers. I called the Sales Rep Robert and he said that he would call T-Mobile. He contacted me back and said that there was a mix up with the numbers, that this happens all the time and to send the rebate forms in again. When I spoke to T-Mobile myself they stated that since I purchased the phones from Costco I was not eligible for the rebates.
On February 14th 2007 I called ATT because by then I was completely dissatisfied with service from T-Mobil. I was able to transfer service back to ATT and I had my original ATT lines transferred back to ATT from T-Mobil. I called T-Mobil on my first bill which was due on 2/10/08 for $216.71. I asked for any outstanding fees due and I paid the outstanding T-Mobile bill of $312.28. I received the hard copy of the 2nd bill a few days later that confirmed this amount.
I then received a 3rd bill around March 16th for an additional $462.20. I was being charged a $200 contract termination fee and a $20 one time charge for restore from suspended on both of the lines totaling a $440 fee. I was also billed an additional $18.00 monthly service fee and $4.20 taxes and surcharges. I will pay the remaining $22.20 charges for my usage but I will not pay the $440 fees incurred by transferring back to ATT. I have notified T-Mobil of this problem numerous times but they keep demanding payment in full and I continue to receive numerous phone calls on a weekly basis
T-Mobil did not fulfill the sales agreement presented to me upon purchase. I did not receive the Rebate rejection letters until well after the 14 day trial period. I have never received the rebates or gift card as promised. T-Mobil broke faith with this purchase agreement and I will not pay the penalty for their dishonesty.

I received a letter from T-Mobile informing me that effective May 28, 2008 my account would be closed. This letter is a letter of Modification of Service which went on to inform me that the majority of my calls were outside the network. I have been a loyal customer of T-Mobile's for more than 4 years and throughout this time and several contracts my calling patterns have not changed and yet now with still 5 months left on my current contract the company has elected to end my account without first informing me of the issue or giving me options to resolve their issue.
After receiving the letter I contacted my local authorized T-Mobile store and was sold the Hot Spot @ Home feature which I was told by the representative would resolve the issue. I was also sold a WiFi phone which I needed to use the service and signed a two year extention to my contract.
Several days after I took the iniative to find a successful resolution to T-Mobile's issue and with an additional cost to me of $10.00 per month to my bill, I received a call from Customer Service asking me what I intended to do regarding the Modification of Service letter that I was sent. I explained the actions that I had taken and what I was told by the T-Mobile representative and that I was told my actions had resolved the issue. The customer service representative put me on hold to check my file and came back on the phone and told me the authorized representative at the local T-Mobile store should not have allowed me to modify the contract or add the Hot Spot @ Home feature and that my account was going to be closed on May 28th.
I have been a loyal customer who has always paid my bill on time, I have never had a dispute with any charges incurred nor have I ever violated the terms of my contract. Yet T-Mobile can breech my contract at will, yet if I was to try and get out of the contract I would face severe financial penalties. I was brought up that if you entered a contractual agreement you were committed to the terms of the contract and that so long as you paid your bills on time and didn't violate the terms of your agreement then you would receive the service which you have paid to receive.
On May 28, 2008 my three T-Mobile phones will be rendered useless. T-Mobile is the only phone that I have so I will be left without a way to call for help in the event of an emergency. I also sit on the State of Maine Health Commission which oversees the health plan for 40,000 covered lives. My T-Mobile number is the number my constituents have to contact me with issues regarding their health care. Although T-Mobile will waive early termination fees I will be forced to purchase a new phone with another carrier, pay activation fees, enter into a service plan which from the plans that I have researched will cost me more money to get the same service that I am currently paying through T-Mobile. I have sent a letter to the Legal Department of T-Mobile but after two plus weeks since the letter was sent have yet to receive a response.

I had service while in MI, but am dual-residenced also in TX. Had NO service in TX. Went to a T-Mobile dealer and was told that I was in the coverage area, but needed an upgrade to have use of my phone. I was told that it would not affect my status contractually, and that I had long passed the 2-year contract time. I had been a customer since Jan. 2003. I had surgery in TX, and needed to have use of my cell, and made that perfectly clear to T-Mobile. They showed me the coverage area on their computer, and it shows that I am within their range. My phone shows 4-5 bars signal, but reads Emergency Calls Only or No Network.
I filed a complaint with the company and had them do a mechanical check on the nearest tower. They said that it was working perfectly. I STILL had NO service! I called them on 5/12/08 to discontinue my dealings with them because they failed to deliver what they promised. The supervisor that I spoke with said that they don't guarantee that there won't be gaps in the coverage area and that I was within that area. I explained to her that it wasn't a gap, it was NO service at all. She refused to waive the $200 cancellation fee regardless of the facts. I said that I had been assured that I would not be held to a new contract and that I had already fulfilled my previous one. She said that by agreeing to upgrade-which I was forced to do because of lack of service-that I had agreed to extend my contract. I did no such thing.
I can't believe that they call this kind of treatment customer service! I had been an extremely loyal customer who paid on time, every month for over 5 years. I find this kind of business practice apalling and unfair.

When i contacted tmobile i was told that a woman stating to be my fathers girlfriend had called in to let them know that my address was incorrect. She also flagged my account with a comment saying that i hadnt talked to my father in 6 years and i need to call him to repair our relationship. Tmobile gave out my account information to a person stating that they were not on the account and allowed her to change my billing adress.
When i called to make a formal complaint they tried telling me that it was a new policy that just went into effect to not give out information unless you are the account holder. This is not a new policy. I have talked with other employees of their company who have been shocked that it even happened. furthermore tmobile doesnt have a corperate line to contact with complints, just the customer service one i had called many times.
I had an unpaid bill for 3 months that i was getting collection notices on which has damaged my credit. December of 2005 I purchased a Sidekick II from the T-mobile store on Wilshire; loved it - had to have it. A month after having it I started fooling around on the T-mobile site and looking at the options on the phone. Well, caller tunes looked fun so I signed up. When I did an icon appeared on the page that said Your caller tunes will expire a year after purchase. Sounds great, right? I will come back to this.. So, about a year into my sidekick I have to call T-mobile sidekick support because my phone is janky. When I call I am told to do a hard reset on the phone and basically that became the demise of that phone; 1-8-7. I was told that I had to file for a new phone with a separate company, Assurion, which honestly is an ENTIRE SEPARATE COMPLAINT.
I call, I tell them what happened and then they say, 110 dollars, please. Of course I am not paying that money on a phone that I DIDN'T explode via subliminal voodoo text support. So, I paid on my base bill for 1/2 a month (while I didn't have a phone that worked) while I waited for T-Mobile to respond to my BBB complaint. And they did, they made that credit but a few months later I found out that my 110 dollars went to buy a REFURBISHED sidekick? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
I complain again and they basically pat me on the head and say HA HA, JOKES ON YOU, SON! Why did I stay? Because of the Sidekicks options. Around two-years later the refurbished phone goes kaput, naturally and the only way they should go is when the owner takes it out, which I did. I bypass T-mobile all together and go right to Assurion. I know this is going to be 110 dollars but I am very, very, very clear that I do no want a refurbished phone. Unfortunately, I am told that they no longer carry the Sidekick II and they only have the III and lucky for me I am up for an upgrade!! I don't want the III, it seems cheap.. I want the sturdy II that can withstand my key chain in my purse and when I put large amounts of paperwork in my bag. I DO NOT WANT A PHONE WHO'S KEYPAD COULD COME OFF!
This rep then tells me that she has one left, it is a refurbished phone and that I can have that one if I like. Again, I have to say yes because this is what I want. I get it around 5 days later (I still paid on my base account on those 5 days I didn't make or get a call) and the phone came. Inspected it, looked good but began to have a SIM card problem. I called T-mobile and they told me I could buy another SIM card at any store but I was worried about all the money I had spent on the programs on my phone (you had to pay for a calculator back in the day and I wanted that damned thing back! plus, I had mass games on there.) I take it to the T-Mobile store near my house in the Westside Pavilion and one of the workers is like You're SIM is fine but here is a SIM card that you can take with you to verify. I put that second SIM card in at home and called T-mobile from another phone and basically got Call Assurion, the got you that phone. Teeter-totter! I called Assurion and they said they will send out another phone ASAP.
This is around last Christmas when this phone shows, and I know because I get it and put the SIM card in and my son slices his head open and my day then becomes a trip to the ER. While I am there I decided to download all those games I once purchased so him and I can play them while we are waiting in between doctors. On leaving the E.R., a four hour trip, THAT PHONE goes kaput. Ah, man, I can not even tell you how frustrating that moment was. Over the holidays I went without a phone simply because both parties are too hard to deal with and I didn't want to ruin the spirit, sounds corny but I respect it and I waited till January to call either company back again. When I called Assurion I was told that I could have an OG Sidekick II from the actual supplier (I think that T-mobile bought out Danger Inc.)
I get this OG model that I currently have today that had way more wear on it than normal. WAY MORE but I deal with it because it works, right? I wrote an Email to T-mobile telling them I wanted a refund for my minutes I didn't use and I wanted to get credit on all the games I had downloaded to my SIM card. I got a 15 dollar credit towards my NEXT billing cycle. Thanks. And to top it all off, this phone has an issue with the shift button and doesn't allow me to use symbols in business emails. I can't or , or # or ; because the SHIFT key is jacked. So, while reviewing my relationship with T-mobile I went to review my bills and LOW AND BEHOLD...... I have been paying on caller tunes for 3 years while NOT EVEN USING IT. T-Mobile, thank you for being such an amazing relationship. Please pack your bags and get out of my life. I am actually submitting this again, for the 2nd time, to BBB.
Frustration. I've lost time and calls. You can't look professional with equipment and the service I was given. There were a few nights I could of been left out with my son on the highway or street with no phone when there was no daylight. Family couldn't contact me (other than the Holidays because they were here.) Financially I have lost 1.99 for the past 2 years and 5.99 in multiple downloads.

May 3, 2008 To Whom It May Concern; I have been a T-mobile customer since 2004 and was relatively satisfied with my service until the last few months. I moved to Phoenix, AZ and work in a local hospital where I take call 4 nights a week for emergency procedures. I started noticing problems with my service and coverage around the first of the year. I called in to T-mobile countless times for help with the difficulties I was experiencing, which is all documented in my account. Everyone I spoke with kept me on the phone for extended periods of time, all trying the same things with no success.
We power-cycled my phone, reset the factory settings, tried a different phone, new SIM card, put in 2 engineering help tickets, but nothing resolved the issues of my phone not having service in certain areas and it not ringing even though I showed I had coverage. I explained to the representatives and supervisor that being a medical professional on call, I can not have a phone that does not work. I was at one point told by a representative that if trying a new SIM card didnt work that I should be able to cancel my service without paying the $200.00 early termination fee since the problems I was experiencing could not be remedied.
When I went to cancel my service, this was not the case. Even after going through everything that T-mobile suggested I do to fix the problem, I was told by a supervisor that the fee would not be waived because your coverage map showed I had service at my home. The reason people have mobile phones is so that they can use them when they are not in their homes. I was appalled by the lack of understanding and the difficulty I went through trying to take care of this situation. I have done everything that T-Mobile required me to do to resolve this issue.
I will not be paying the $200.00 cancellation fee and I will be forwarding this letter to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General. I want the cancellation fee removed from my account immediately. I appreciate your help in this matter and hope that after this situation is remedied I can still say that T-Mobile was a great company to have service through. If the fee is not waived, I will be forced to take further action.

I have been a loyal T-Mobile customer since the fall of 2006. I have paid my bills either earlier than need or on time. Since being a customer with T-Mobile i have acquired credit with the company, they have also raised my credit score. Also in the fall of 2006 i moved to the State of Montana from Washington. I opened my own company that following spring and still have it.
On April 23, 2008 T-Mobile Send me a letter entitled SERVICE MODIFICATION SCHEDULED. Basically what this letter stated was that because a very high percentege of my calling was roaming off the T-Mobile network that they would be terminating my account as of May 28, 2008. In the letter it also stated that T-mobile would waive any cancellation fees associated with my account. But if i wanted to keep my number and moved to another carrier before May 28, 2008 i would be responsible for all charges prior to the cancellation date. Once i received this letter i called the T-Mobile off Number that was in my letter and explained to them that i had come out to Montana to Run a company, and that as of June 30th the company would be sold and i would be returning to Seattle in the Beginning of July. I asked if they could please waive this letter and explained to them how well of a customer i had been and if i was paying my bill why it would matter where i was. The person on the phone said that she was sorry but she could not do anything for me, and that my account would be terminated effective May 28, 2008.
With T-mobile Terminating my account my business will suffer greatly in the Month of June. I have a total of 5 Catering events in the amount of 300 people for each event. With the Termination of this account i will have to hurry and try to find another phone (most likely pre paid for that month) so that my clients & employees can reach. but for them to be able to reach me i have to spend time sending out mass e-mails to all family, friends, clients, and employees to make sure they know of this change. Also any business that i could have had in the month of June will now not happen because any business cards that are out are now Obsolete and i could potentially lose Thousands of dollars because people will not know how to reach me. So for T-mobile to Terminate my account will not only affect my personal life but will in fact possibly ruin my Business because people will not be able to reach me.

I have inconsistence service with my cell phone network, it is usually searching for network service half the time. I have decided I deserve better service for my money, so I'd like to cancel my contract with T-Mobile. However, I must pay $400.00 to disconnect my service. So I am stuck with two negative options. I have to pay to disconnect due to lack of service or continue to pay for bad service. Either way I am stuck with losing money. T-Mobile management told me there is nothing they can do about reception and that they cannot guarantee reception anywhere.
The consequences are I have to pay to disconnect or to continue to pay for bad service. So in the end they get there money and I still do not have a cell phone that I can rely on.

I have been a customer since before 1993 and T-mobile has worked out fine for the most part. However, I started noticing problems around June of 2007. The most frustrating of the problems is the ongoing issue with incoming calls not coming through. Whenever I am at home, I get no calls from any of my callers instead, they get a no answer and if they leave a voice mail, my phone signals me.
I have also seen repeated dial-out errors like connection error or no network or connection failed etc. The signal bars on the phone are not steady but a lot of times the number of bars do not affect the call problems. I have had many long conversations with customer care without any resolution. They have made stupid suggestions like you need to power cycle your phone several times a day or replace your battery or change your CIM card or even the phone is outdated (they were still selling the phone). I did try all of these suggestions but as expected, nothing solved the problem. They claim that the signal quality is Good but my area is scheduled for an upgrade in the next 6 months. It is now more than 6 months and nothing has changed. So I am asking then to either fix the problem or release me from the contract. They refuse to do either.
Since I work from home and frequently on the road, it is crucial that people get in touch with me. A missed call could cost me a deal. I also have a child away from home and this is the most efficient way to be in touch. Besides this, I am paying $135 a month for a service that I am not getting. T-mobile claims that their service agreement does not guaranty service?? Go figure?

I purchased a Razr phone for my son. It wasn't working properly. T-Mobile promptly sent us a new phone and we had to mail non working phone back. Replacement phone they sent us stopped working and again I contacted T-Mobile. Again they sent us another phone and had us send in non working one. I noticed that T-Mobile had put a $114.00 charge on my bill!
I immediately contacted T-Mobile. I was informed that my sons phone that was mailed back had a red dot! This meant that there was water damage to the phone. Furthermore, razr phones all have a white dot when sold and if they turn red it is water damage. I was furious. I knew there was no water damage to that phone and asked to speak to a manager. Again I was told the same story about the red dot and water damage and I had to pay for the phone that was sent.
Needless to say, I was not happy and very suspicious of this Red Dot. A few weeks later, my son suggests we visit our T-Mobile store in person. On our way to the store, my son opens up his phone and is shocked to see that this phone too has a Red Dot! This is the replacement phone that was sent to us and was working fine. We get to the store and explain to the manager what happened and he opens the phone also and sees that it has a Red Dot. He goes to the back and comes out with a brand new phone still in the box and hands it to us. He then apologizes and tells us that we were sent a refurbished phone and that is why there was a red dot! He proceeds to credit my account $114.00. I was very angry to say the least.
Obviously, T-Mobile was knowingly sending us refurbished phones all along and had my son not noticed the red dot on his working phone, I would have had to pay that $114.00 fee! I feel T-Mobile is deceiving its customers and have no doubt I am not the only customer who was scammed into paying for damages I did not cause. This Red Dot may be a sign of water damage, however, for T-Mobile to knowingly send those already water damaged phones to customers as replacements is fraudulent!

I first joined sometime last year around March or April, I can't remember. The phone and service worked great for a while. After a few months, I noticed that I wasn't receiving text messages, or atleast not all of them, nor were recipients receiving mine. They were delayed by days sometimes, or just never received. I called about that, they couldnt figure out what it was, but wanted me to stay on the line for long periods of time, or they could not troubleshoot. I finally had to give up, because I spent so much time on the phone with them. SO, the software in my phone began to act funny, I called them, they replaced the phone after spending lots of time with them on the phone. My bill after this, had skyrocketed to over 500 dollars in one month. I called about it, it took them a week to realize that someone had turned off my text messaging service and never turned it back on which had caused my minute useage to be effected. They fixed it and got my bill back down to what it was supposed to be, for the time being.
I then began to receive notions from friends, saying that they receive a message when they call me, pls01 the caller you are trying to reach is unavailable. In fact, I found that MANY people were getting this message. This was killing my chances for an interview, as I was looking for another job. Of course, I called about this, and noone could resolve it, even spending great amounts of time on the phone with tech support. I actually experienced MANY more technical issues, sporadic issues, consistent issues...etc.. They could never resolve, only call us back when you have more time. Every time I called, they put me on hold for LONG periods of time, and sometimes I was disconnected, either because they hung up from being tired of dealing with me, or line problems with my phone or theirs.
I could get nowhere with them. I requested to be released from the contract after all of this, of course they would not let me out. They told me that the contract stated that I may or may not have good reception. I told them that reception was not all of the issue. There were many factors. On top of this, my next bill was over 200 dollars. I called them, they said that I had actually went over this time. I didn't. I downloaded a copy of my bill and found that they had actually charged me for some sporadic weekend calls, some myfave calls, and other misc calls that were supposed to be free. I tried to copy the contents over to an excel spreadsheet, but I found that the numbers that were transferred over were not workable. In other words, the characters (numbers) were not able to be used in any functions. I manually added everything up, which took a VERY long time and found that the totals were off too!
I opened a case with the better business to see if I could get this contract ended so that I could go with a new carrier. This resulted in a flat NO from TMobile. A rep from the corp office called me and was very polite at first, but when I explained everything, or atleast tried to, she began to tell me that there was no way that I could ever get out of the contract no matter the circumstances. She then told me that she would be in touch with me in a week after reviewing the case. 4 days later I had a message stating that this is our final attempt to contact you. I tried calling her back for weeks, of course having to use various other cellphones. She never got back with me. But she (or someone) replied to the BBB case stating that it was my responsibility to check my own minutes.
I requested that my account be DEACTIVATED immediately, and to no longer charge me anything for any reason. This was in late December 07. I also had called a few weeks before and requested the same thing. I may have missed a few things, however I have one more thing to say that just happened a few days ago. I moved and recieved a bill in the mail after my address change took effect. The bill was for $460! They had charged me from December to now for regular monthly charges. Of course, I called them and told them that I had requested that my account be shut off in late December of 2007. They didn't see where anyone had notated this. I told them that I had called and requested it, as well as requested it through the BBB case. She said that she would get the fax from me and show it to Alison at the Corporate office, then make a decision. As if they are questioning when I requested the account to be deactivated? It is not my fault that they did not do as instructed and did not notate it. I requested in 2 methods, calling and through the BBB.
They are and have been frustrating me for a very long time, I cannot deal with them anymore. I just want my contract to end in December 07, with about $200 to pay for usage (which is probably not right, but oh well) and be out of the contract. She said that I could fax the transcription of the case over to her. I was willing to do so, and have done so as of today, but they have access to the case, the same that I do. They are merely playing with me and I dont believe they plan to rectify anything at this point. They know that I cannot do anything about it. Another point, you can call them and give them the NAME and EMPLOYEE ID of the person that you spoke with before, and there is no way to get back with that person. You cannot send them an email, you cannot do anything but RE-EXPLAIN everything to first level, every time you call. They have minimal notes to review, or they must be instructed to play dumb about the whole thing.
They are currently working on damaging my credit due to this. I also DO NOT feel that I should have to pay the ETF, since it is THEIR fault that I indeed had to terminate my non-service with them. They have costed me alot of time and frustration and now I'm facing credit unworthiness. Please help. I can give you access to the bbb case if needed.

I have been a customer of T-Mobile for many years longer than my account shows, 5 years. I have had to speak with customer service personnel in the past to request credit for dropped calls and my having had to reconnect which has resulted in additional minute charges to my account. Today, the customer service personnel were mis-interpreting T-Mobile policy attempting to tell me that credit is not given when calls are dropped unless they are dropped within one or two minutes of FIRST having initiated the original call. By that I mean, I was told that T-Mobile's credit policy is different if the call drops one minute after making connection or if the call is dropped thirty minutes of having made the connection.
This makes no sense at all. If a call is dropped, the call is dropped. T-Mobile's credit policy should allow for crediting back the time required to re-establish the connection. In the past, I have received credit of one minute for re-establishing connection if my second call was made within three minutes of the first call being dropped. Now, Sara (T-Mobile employee ID 8474274), a supervisor, refused to provide credit for having had to reconnect unless the first call had been dropped within two minutes of having been made. Sara refused to let me speak with her supervisor or any other supervisor to resolve this matter. I informed her that I wanted to resolve the matter at that time (since I had already spent a considerable amount of my time on the phone with the customer service department, about twenty minutes. I was flatly told that there was no supervisor available for me to talk with which I could not believe as truthful. I received the clear impression that she merely wanted to brush me off and hope I would go away.
I am entitled to credit for dropped calls. If T-Mobile refuses to do so due to its poor telephone service, then I should be allowed to cancel my contract with T-Mobile without penalty to me. Would you be willing to provide such authorization? All I ask for is that you ensure your personnel properly know and apply crediting policy and that I be credited for my dropped calls. I am very dissatissfied with the customer service I received today. It appears that T-Mobile is penny-wise-and-pound-foolish when it comes to crediting minutes for customer complaints. I wanted you to know that I attempted to telephone the executive offices and the switchboard operators would not put my calls through as they related to a complaint.
My bill had almost $180 additional charges, some of which were due to dropped calls. I was attempting to receive credit to reduce these additional charges for dropped calls.

On Sunday, April 13th my checking account was drafted for my monthly payment of $104.70 which was due on April 15th. This is the second time this has happened in the past two years. Neither time did I authorize the withdrawal. This time it caused $110.00 (27.50 x 4) in overdraft fees. I was told by three different representatives that the problem was being handled and that T-Mobile was reimbursing the total of $214.70.
A few days later I called for the status of my refund and was told that my request had been denied. They said that I signed up for the easy-pay? plan when I paid my bill on-line in March. I DID NOT DO THIS. I am always very careful to stay away from this area because I dont care for that method of payment. Then, out of the blue, on April 18th they credited my checking account with the $104.70. I feel that this is an admission of guilt.
I am disabled and this has caused me great hardship, economically and to my health. I went four days with practically no money. My bank was nice enough to refund half of the NSF fees, but I am still out $55.00.

What poor business practice. I'm thinking that they are engage in fraudulant business practices. I have been with Verizon for a long time (over 6 years). I decided to switch over to T-mobile as I needed one for work. Well I looked around and double and triple checked the reception where I live. Their website said that it was in a good (3 to 4 bars) range. I then stopped by a store and like anything, they looked it up on the website and they did assure me that the website is very accurate as it is updated on a regular basis. I express to them that Verizon had a really bad problem where I live and it took them about 18 months of me complaining, in additions to others, to erect another tower just for our area. They assured me that if Verizon has good reception there, T-mobile would be good too.
So, after talking to the company (twice) and doing my own research, I went and got a contract with T-mobile. The 1st week I had the phone, I had to complain about drop calls and no signal. This is not only in my house, but even when I'm out in the middle of my street where there's not wires and trees. After a few months of complaining with them, they finally sent a technician out and concluded that the general area where I live has Poor reception. To correct this, they will need to construct a new tower in the area, which takes years and they can not give me an estimated construction date.
Even after all my pro-active things that I did, I still got screw with the contract. They informed me that if I cancel, there's a $200 cancellation charge. I told them that it's their problem and it's misrepresentation and fraud. So, they came back with a new solution, in home tower, which I would pay an additional $29.99/month. Yes, that's my cost in addition to my monthly cost for their misrepresentation. I said, that you are crooks and should be charge with fraud and misrepresentation. I told them that I will contact the FCC and the consumer affairs and all authorization bodies about their fraudulant and misrepresentation practices.
Well, now I'm all reliant on my Verizon phone, which is for personal use. I have a phone that I pay about $60 month and it's useless when I'm at home and I work from my home office. So far, I have lost many and numerous business calls because of T-mobile. They need to correct the situation and/or allow me to cancel without the cancellation charge.

Later I realize my display screen was not working.
I went to the T-Mobile retail store to inquire about the problem as I was able to receive incoming calls and make out going calls but I did not have the ability to send of read incoming text messeges or see who was calling. I approached a store representative names Drew. Once I discovered the charge the informed me that I was being charged this from March 2007 till April 2008. I requested a refund and they informed me that we only have up to 60 days to dispute over charges.
This is a bigg issue in this country where companies like T-Mobile can get away with making mistakes and because it states in there contract that they are not liable after 60 days. We should not allow this to happen. My familie's experience with T-Mobile has been a nightmare from the very beginning. We purchased 4 phones and signed a one year service agreement. The phone's came with a 208 (Idaho or Iowa) area code even though we live in Virginia (703 or 571). The first bill came with over $500 in charges for text messages, a service we thought we declined. What we weren't told is that the phones could still receive and send text messages at an additional charge. If we knew that we would have paid the extra $10 or $20 for unlimited text messaging. We feel that we were intentionally mislead in this regard.
Our calls to customer service for some understanding and compromise were to no avail. The agent very cavalierly told us we would have to contact their legal department if we wanted to pursue the matter further. We gave up and paid the bill and added unlimited texting to our account.
Most recently my wife's phone was stolen. When she reported it to customer service they were able to tell her that someone had taken the SIM card out of her phone and place it in another, ringing up long distance and ring tone charges in excess of $110. The agent told my wife that even though they knew that she didn't initiate these calls and charges that we were still responsible for them. She was also told that they would not work with her on discounting the cost of a new phone unless we signed a 2 year service agreement and paid the $110. That's consumer blackmail!
Needless to say, my wife declined to do this and asked to speak to a supervisor. After being put on hold for several minutes she was told that a supervisor would call her back within 24 hours....guaranteed. Three days later my wife had to call back and plead her case again to another agent. Of course the agent said that there was nothing she could do but would get a supervisor on the line. A supervisor did pick up but made it very clear form the beginning that she was not going to work with us unless we signed the 2-year renewal and paid for the charges from the stolen SIM card. My wife declined and canceled her phone and I will cancel my 3 kid's phones as soon as we can find another service. The supervisor had no problem with my wife canceling her phone. How do they stay in business with such shoddy customer service? The public needs to know that Customer Service at T-Mobile does not exist. We will tell everyone we know and meet of our terrible experience with T-Mobile and urge them not to consider the service.

I must say I had the worst experience with TMobile customer service in history. Please inform Consumers so this does not happen to them in the future.
I intinally had set up two payments to be debited from my account for only $48.24. One payment for $10 and the other for $38.14 to pay the full bill of $48.24. The first payment was to be debited on the 10th and the other on the 14th. I made the call on the 7th. So I decided to go the the store and just pay the total of the $48.24 in cash at the store and cancell the debits to my acct. I ask the customer service person to do so for me so I would not have to pay double for one bill.
Well I spoke to three people in customer care because There was $80 bucks in overdraft charges made to my bill. So the ball was dropped when I cancelled the debit charges on the 7th and physicall went into the store and made the full payment .
Well, the next months bill had a added charge for the $80 bucks, SO I called to tell them that I made the payment in person and that I ask the counter person to cancell the debit charges and she did not do this and both the customer service persons on customer care and their supervisors were the rudest persons I ever talked to and they said that they could not see in the system anyone noteing anything about cancelling the debits and it went through anyways and there was nothing they could do....I was so shocked that NO ONE was there to help me and all I got was that I needed to go to the Store and ask them.
TMobile gave me the worst customer experience I ever had and please inform consumers to be warned of these type of issues and if they ask for something to be done to write down everything and the persons name. I am cancelling my service and suggest to consumers to be warned of this companies performance is the worst in history.

I bought a cell phone from t-mobil, the sidekick slide. I returned this phone 4 time because of the same defect. First of all the manager hung up the phone in my face. I then called back and someone named Britany told me that I could not talk to a manager because I had already talked to one and his decision stands. Once she found out that the manager Cory hung up in my face she got me another manager name Deandra. Deandra told me that there was nothing she could do for me but sell me a different phone that I did not want. The current phone that I have is defective for the 5th time and I don't want this phone. She acknowledged that this phone does have problems and that they are working on trying to correct this . I let her know that I prefer the T-mobil-, the T-mobil wing or the sidekick lx these phones are basically the same as the sidekick slide and they are the same price.
The economic damage is I spent $260.00 for this phone and I should be able to get another phone that is close to the same one that I have.

We called several times to complain, and then decided that we could still use the service when I'm working in the field, since I work in the field almost 100% of the day. Our original contract was long expired. But then, my job description changed and I spend most of the day at my home office. The service was no longer available when I needed it most. So I changed to Verizon. Now t-mobile is trying to charge me about $500 early termination. But the thing is, they claim that I renewed my contract. This is absolutely not true. I did call them once about 18 months previous and requested an increase in minutes per month for a higher monthly cost, which they did for me. They claim that was an automatic renewal of my contract for two years. I would have never agreed to such an outrageous and lopsided game they are playing.
They are calling my house several times a day, and at late evening times, and now collection agents are calling also. They have trashed my credit, and I never was a bad customer of theirs for four years. All I'm asking them to do is not ask me to pay for services I don't receive. What do I do before I have to take them to court and incur legal fees? Thanks for your help in advance.

They told me I could try, without obligation and would only pay for the minutes used. I was never able to make a call and promptly returned and canceled the service within 7 days. Fast forward 9-months later. I get a bill for $4.38. NO BILL DESCRIPTION! No detail at all. I call the company and the woman told me it was for service I used. I explained how this was impossible because that was why I canceled the service within 7 days. I then asked her to give me the details of the call, which she couldn't do. Then I asked her why they billed me 9 months after the fact. I then said, quit wasting my time and remove this charge. She said that if I do not pay, it will affect my credit and they will send to collection. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said, it might be a long while. Then it hung up!

I was coerced into a plan by this particular representative, and she assured me that I would not experience overages. The following billing cycle, I had charges of $87 for roaming charges that were not disclosed to me in writing or verbally. The plan I was switched to by the rep was a local plan with roaming, so the minutes were increased but only included the coverage area of my surrounding areas. I had asked several times to please send information about the plan in writing, but never received anything! I then called T-Mobile customer service when I received the bill, and I talked to a rep that assured me the charges of $87 would be credited to my account, and he switched me back to my original plan upon my request. I waited for 2 bill cycles, and did not receive the credit. This is fraudulent activity, and coercion by T-Mobile. I have requested a credit for this activity and they have refused now 3 times to cooperate.

My wife and I get text messaging charges, all outgoing, on our monthly bill. The run about $1.20 to $2.10 a month. I wrote three times and told T-Mobil we do not use or know how to use text messaging on our cell phones. Ms. McGee wrote back and said we sent these text messages, and basically called us liars. We are both retired and we are the only ones using our respective cell phones. The phone number we were suppose to have sent the messages to, was a generic T-Mobil number in Settle. T-Mobil cannot tell me how anyone else can access my cell phone, or where the message was sent, so they charge us and put down the number of their T-Mobil's messaging center. Who do I turn to now? How can they say Outgoing messages originate from the handset and therefore are billed accordingly when neither of us use the feature text messaging?
We are being charged each month for outgoing text messages that we do not make. We were called liars, as T-Mobil said we made the outgoing messages from our handset. We are very upset that they will do nothing, and calling us dishonest. If T-Mobil is doing this to thousands of customers, they can make a lot of money. Is this why they are doing it? I get no answers except that it is all our fault.

Back in October 2007 we signed on for what appeared to be a good plan for kids to have a cell phone without having to share our minutes on a family plan. The T-Mobile plan goes for 20 bucks a month, has 100 minutes and unlimited T-Mobile to T-Mobile calls. The Issue: Since October, we have experienced an inability to connect with her Kid Connect number, and have called tech support at least once per month. Each time we go through the troubleshooting 30 minute ordeal. When we get through all of that, we get a vague apology, a we are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it, and the days roll on until we call in an emergency because we again can't get in contact with our daughter's cell, and it happens all over again. We feel this is truly a breach of contract, and we think that over 6 months is more than a reasonable amount of time to let T-Mobile fix the faulty Kid Connect service. To date, the service is still unreliable, and there is no continuity of service. To date we have called over 15 times, sometimes once a week and have wasted a LOT of time on this. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? We want out of the contract without paying for early termination fees.
Stressful beyond belief when we cannot get in contact with our daughter. Several emergency situations have come up since October 2007, and our inability to get in contact with her on her cell due to the faulty service has caused an inordinate amount of stress. We pay $20 per month for a service that is unreliable. It might seem insignificant, but the premise is breach of contract. We never know when we are out of contact with our daughter. We want out with no early termination penalties, and to let others know that this is a faulty service.

In researching cell phone providers I was very specific in what I was looking for. The fact was, I was looking for a cell phone for my husband who worked in the back woods of Troy, Montana. I needed something with towers in that area. I was already aware that Verizon didn't get reception as that is the provider my husband uses for his work; I too had a cell phone and the perfect plan for where we live in Moscow. Having 3 school age children and I myself being diagnosed with cancer, it was imperitive that we find a company that he could get reception. I was told by a T-mobile representative that T-mobile was the only company with towers in the Troy, Montana area. That was my deciding factor in going with T-mobile. Unfortunately I found out later that this was not true; they in fact had no towers in that area. My husband had to drive 75 miles in order to call out or receive calls, but he didn't have to drive that far with his Verizon phone. I tried on several occasions to cancel the service but was told the same thing every time. Without a physical address for the Troy, Montana area we can't cancel the service. I informed them that there is no physical address for the remote areas in which my husband worked logging. That didn't seem to make a difference to them.
I stopped paying them due to the fact that the phone was of no use to my husband, and after 3 months they shut the phone off. After turning it off, T-mobile continued to tack on charges. The last time they doubled what they felt was owed. After being turned over for collection, I spoke to a woman with the collection department and agreed to let them deduct 3 months of charges from my checking account. I feel that T-mobiles' business practices are less then legitimate. When a consumer asks specific questions in order to make the right decisions, they expect the person who's representing the company to give honest answers. Had I not been told that T-mobile was the only cell phone provider with towers in the Troy Montana area, I certainly would not have attained their services. I feel this company and their representative acquired my business by using underhanded means and false representation. I feel they should be reprimanded by the FCC, and they should also be turned over to the Better Business Bureau for how they went about attaining me as a customer.
Tmobile has ruined my credit rating by constantly putting this alledged bill against me on my credit report.

I mislaid or had my TMobile cell phone stolen on the night of jan 20th 2008. I called TMobile to find out what I should do the next day, as soon as I couldn't locate it. I was told that deactivating the phone was the only option, and that if I did find the phone it would require a replacement sim card and I would lose all my contacts. I was unsure at that stage if I had actually lost it, or just mislaid it and I wanted to backtrack to see if I had left it in various locations. I tried calling it several times and no one answered so I assumed it was not found by anyone. After not finding it that day I called back on jan 22nd to suspend service. I have been an excellent customer for 8 years.
I just found out about all this and that my account has been suspended due to a past due (3 days) bill with $950 worth of calls to the middle east made continuously for those 2 days, the 21st and 22nd of jan. They suspended my account for nonpayment before I even knew I had this huge bill. I have rarely if ever used the phone for international calls. I called Tmobile and they told me I must pay the full bill, because I chose not to suspend even though I called to report it lost or stolen. I then asked why, if I had called to notify, that with the unusual flurry of activity that immediately followed, why they wouldn't have alerted me to this, as a credit card company does in these circumstances.
This is what I found in the terms and conditions of my contract: Lost or Stolen Phone. If your Phone is lost or stolen (Lost Phone) you will not be liable for unauthorized airtime charges incurred on the Lost Phone if you: (a) notify us immediately; (b) ask us to deactivate the Lost Phone; and (c) provide within 14 days any documentation we request, including a police report. I did notify them of the loss, but I did not ask them to deactivate. Must I pay this bill, even though clearly these were not calls made by an authorized user. I have spoken to 3 different representatives and they all say that there is nothing they can do, that I am fully accountable for all charges.

I complained to T-Mobile for over six months and they just told me I can't do anything about it. If I disconnected these two phone lines I would be charged $400.00 ($200.00 per line) because I have a contract. I told them I do not have a contract. The rep (Towanda #345061) stated to me that I would have to return the phone back via UPS and pay for the shipping cost, only then would a replacement phone be sent to me.
The constant misinformation and run around caused me to want to cancel my phone line. I was transferred yet again to Melissa #0151599 in the cancellation department. I don't know exactly how the % in tax is calculated and is added to my bill. The problem is that I inquired about it about my account balance three weeks ago, and I was given a balance due of $161.92, which was a bit high, but since I added the extra line, I thought that was the reason why. I when I talked to a representative I was told that. Then a week after I inquired about my balance again on line, and I noticed that the balance due was $223.46--a difference of $61.54. When I ask about where this $61.54 amount was coming from, no representative was able to explain it.
I believe I am being defrauded, and I don't know for how long I have been taken and paid these extra mysterious, hidden charges. I have been a T-Mobile customer for about four years. Aren't service charges supposed to be included into the my family plan?

After receipt of phone on 1/16/2008, the phone stopped working for no apparent reason. It would only work when the flip was lifted for an incoming call. The phone was not dropped or exposed to any type of liquid. That evening I called TMobile Customer Care. The representative asked questions and gave a series of methods to try and get the phone to work. Nothing worked. We checked for water damage by viewing the color change of a small square in back of phone. Color of the square did not indicate such. Was told that the phone would not be covered under warranty if it was found to have been damaged due to negligence. However, the insurance would override any charges if the product was found to be damaged. It was never explained to me that I would have to file a claim or take any extra measures should the phone be found damaged due to my negligence.
Shortly after, I received a new phone and returned damaged phone according to instructions. Between 1/18/08 and 1/20/08, my bill was available online (days after I made the initial call regarding the damaged phone). About 2/22/08 the amount owed for the period of 1/17/08 2/16/08 was online. I noticed an extra charge and quickly called Customer Care. I was told that the charge is for the damaged phone. I was told that the phone had contained moisture, and the white square meant nothing because the technicians can spot a small drop of moisture. I spoke to 3 different reps who could only tell me that I was responsible for the charge because the warranty period was not applicable due to an "alleged" water-damaged phone. The phone was never exposed to any water. It was only a month old. On the 3rd call I spoke to Michelle. I learned that the insurance was never activated. She told me that all TMobile could do to compensate me for the lack of insurance is to activate the insurance now, but it could not be made retroactive to the initial date of my request. I cannot challenge what the phone technicians report even if I dispute it. I didn't know insurance was never activated because I had not seen bill. Was billed inappropriately for the phone based on a service that was requested, but never applied, and a free phone that was no way exposed to any water.

There was was a $100 charge added to my account because the TMobile representative I spoke with informed me that whoever examined my old phone had determined it to have sustained water damage. To my surprise, the Tmobile rep also told me that TMobile does not have any photographs nor does it have the original phone, therefore Tmobile cannot provide any solid proof, other than hearsay, to substantiate this charge. I find it unacceptable that TMobile is trying to impose a charge for something it cannot prove. THERE WAS NO WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID DAMAGE DONE TO MY PHONE during any time. It was NOT exposed to any liquid in any shape or form, nor was it exposed to steam or temperature changes. I took meticulous care of that phone, knowing very well how easily one can become damaged with misuse.
I had received it in July, so it may very well have been on the UPS truck for an extended time period and gotten a little overheated. When I received it originally, I was a bit concerned that there was a light pink rim around the white dot in the back of the phone, which most likely means that it was mishandled before I had received it. When I expressed my concern, the phone reps at TMobile assured me that it was a brand new phone in perfect working order. Somebody at TMobile or at the lab where the phone was sent had made a mistake in their diagnosis, and their policies apparently do not require that a customer be given directly substantiated proof for any replacement charges put on their account. I know that my phone could not have sustained any such damage, so I asked TMobile for solid physical proof that the phone I had sent them was damaged while in my possession, and they told me that they neither had the phone in their possession, nor could they provide me with photos of the circuitry in question.
I asked that TMobile IMMEDIATELY remove the $100 charge and/or any additional charges associated with the replacement. They keep sending me e-mails with a lot of semantics that do not reflect my question. I believe that this practice should be illegal, and I would like your agency to assist me in settling the matter.
$120 additional charges on my cell phone bill resulting from this situation.

I got family plan account with T-mobile for me and my significant other. This past December 2007 my significant other had his phone stolen so I called the company to order a new phone and it ended up that I had to pay for the phone in full since they're saying I never got insurance on both phones. I agreed to pay the full amount of $97.99+tax. I finally received the phone almost two and a half weeks later and unfortunately the new phone was defected was not working, so just to make sure that I might be wrong I personally went to a T-mobile location and they confirmed me that the new phone not working.
I called T-mobile to let them know about the problem spoke to a man and explained what was happening. He said he will send me a new phone. I asked what I should do with the defected phone, he said to send it back. I mentioned to him that the package came with a recycle bag that if I should put the phone in it and send it, he responded yes why not. So I sent back the defected device. When I finally received my bill I was being charged for both phones - for the defected one that I sent and the device I received afterwards. I called back spoke to a lady she said she would have to send a request order form to the place where they receive the phones and that I should be getting a text stating that the phone was found and that a credit should be applied into my account. I never received a text.
I called back again again they game another confirmation number and to give it about a week and call back. I called back today 2/19/08 and the representative basically told me that the phone is not found and that I shouldn't have sent the devise in that return recycle bag because the phone is destroyed right away and that I was supposed to send directly to them, something I was never told. He started to tell me that the person That spoke to originally told me specifically how to send it and also that they advised that my contract will be extended for another year which is completely untrue. It seems to me so unreal that T-mobile has employees that lied when they put information in the computers about the conversations they had with the costumers. First of all I wouldn't accept an extension in my contract because I am leaving the country within a year and don't know for how long. T-mobile employees and policies really are a complete FIASCO. They lied and the way speak to the costumer basically that I had NO CHOICE but pay for the phone I had to sent back because it wasn't working. I asked to to speak to supervisor named chad. I asked him for his last name and he said that for security purposes he wasn't able to give me his last name. He was no help at all to me, he said I had no choice but to pay for the full bill that includes the extra phone that I sent back as per their instructions.
Now after they telling me I had to pay for the full amount they also mentioned that if I decide to cancel I would have to pay $200 for each phone that I thought was a ONE family plan. I am so frustrated with the way they spoke to me and handled the situations since they were no help at all.

I have been a customer with T-mobile for about 4 years. When I first got my phone I had a plan that included nights and weekends for free. After the first two years my contract expired and I got an outrageous bill. I called the customer service and they told me that I never had nights and weekends and that this bill was valid. Well I had since moved and lost all of my bills (for everything, not just T-Mobile), so I had no proof. I had to pay the bill and they changed my service plan. About a month ago I upgraded to a new blackberry phone. When I did the upgrade over the internet I had two options, 1: to pay $200 and extend my contract or 2: I could pay and extra $100 and not have my contract extended. I chose to pay the extra $100 and not have my contract extended. I also chose the option to make payments on the $300 phone. I was told to call once my bill was due to make the payment arrangements.
I have called and their idea of payment arrangements is to pay today and the rest within two weeks. I am not sure what kind of payment arrangement this is. The rep was extremely unhelpful and said that if not paid my phone and my daughter's phone would be disconnected until I pay it. I then asked when does my contract expire because I don't want to do business with this company anymore? He told me not for another year. At this point I was furious. I asked him why did I choose to pay an extra $100 not to have my contract extended if they were going to extend it anyway? All he could say was all contracts are extended with new phones or upgrades. I said that is not what I chose when I ordered the phone. And he continued to say the same thing over and over, if you can't go ahead and make a payment your service will be disconnected and your this call will be ended. So I asked for another person to help me. He just kept saying the same thing. I was so frustrated I just hung up. This is the most awful company I have ever had to deal with and I will NOT pay this bill and I will take my business elsewhere. I do not think it is right for these people to treat their customers in such a manner because they feel that we NEED their service. What has this world come to?
I will now have to go to another service provider. And have a negative credit rating.

I fell victim to a $370.00 phone bill when I signed up for the My Faves $45.00 plan. I thought I was going to save money when I downgraded with this plan and eliminated paying extra for texting. I thought finally my daughter's bill would run around $55.00 with taxes. The associate never said a word when I opted to not have texting and I thought that meant that texting would not be available not that it would then cost 10 cents per incoming and outgoing. When I got the $300.00 dollar bill I was shocked. I called T Mobile immediately and they tried to tell me they don't have the technology to block text messaging. How can that be I have a Metro PCS plan and they are basically a local company and they can do it. I think it is fraudulent and I can't believe nothing can be done to them.
I had to pay the $300.00 bill plus $200.00 to cancel my service, because there would never be a way to control the problem unless I bought into being forced to include a texting plan in addition the advertised My Faves plan.

I purchased a cell phone plan with the understanding that they would port my then current number to my new phone. There was a mixup at the counter and my information was put on the phone of the person next to me. Because T-Mobile could not port my number, I returned the phone within the 14 days as per agreement. I did not use the phone much but relied on my AT&T phone which I still had. The manager signed off on the return but about 6 months later I started receiving calls about a $60.00 balance. I never received a bill. I asked T-Mobile collectors to provide me with a bill but they did not. In fact, their records may have shown my name at this other person's address. And it is my belief that because they crossed our lines, the $60.00 in charges belongs to the other person and not me.
T-Mobile's refusal to send me a bill in addition to 3 years of collection calls to my home - despite my plea to them not to call the house (my husband was gravely ill and subsequently died) resulted in them putting my name on the credit bureau. This week I found out that as a result of that negative credit report (the only one), my interest rate will be higher on a mortgage that I will be closing on next week. Multiplying the higher rate by 30 years, I will be damaged in the amount of thousands of dollars over the life of the loan.

On Dec. 20, '07 I spoke to a customer service rep from T-Mobile about my poor service. He became argumentative, and I told him I had to go. He then sent me a threatening text message on my cell phone. I reported this to T-Mobile; they assured me it would be handled, but it was not. On Jan. 9, '08 I received another call from a T-Mobile manager who apologized and said this would never happen again, and the person who was supposedly fired in Dec. was going to be fired. He was not. On Jan. 10, '08 he (Nicolas is his name) sent me another threatening message. I have been contacted several times, and told this guy was fired and his line disconnected only to receive calls and messages again right after. Of course I called T-Mobile again. Since then they have been reluctant to tell me any information on this person's status and why they will not shut off his T-Mobile supplied phone from which he keeps harassing me. He has now started to call me instead of text messaging.
I have reported all incidents to the FCC. I am scared this man has all my personal information and access to my phones--my wife's and my 14 year old daughter's. T-Mobile is being evasive and will not help. Pease advise.
I have spent countless hours on the phone with T-mobile with no results--only lies from them. MY family and I live in fear this man may come to our house or worse. (He knows where we live and has all access to our personal information.) I now have to spend over 200.00 dollars to get new phones and transfer my service. FYI: I have no knowledge of this person other than the one time I called customer service, and he answered.

I had been a loyal customer of T mobile since 2003. When I got a divorce in 2007, I sent an email to T mobile asking how I can split the family plan (that was in my name) from my ex-husband so that we could have our own individual accounts. I was told that the procedure was called a change of responsibility and that it could be handled by contacting the activations department. I was surprised to find out that no one at T mobile knew how to do this. Over a period of two months, I had spent five hours on the phone with T mobile and talked to about twenty people. I was sent back and forth between activations and customer service because each department told me that they did not handle change of responsibility. It seems every time someone did try to do a change of responsibility, my phone plan got more and more messed up. My ex-husband and I did everything we were instructed to do from the first email. We both talked to the T mobile reps, and we both had our credits checked again, then we were asked what plans we wanted. My family plan was split into two individual plans, but they were both put on my account instead of one for me and one for my ex husband. Both my ex husband and I wanted unlimited text messaging; it was not put on either of the plans, so I was charged with all text messaging for both.
Because none of the people we talked to made good documentations of their actions or the situation, some reps at T mobile treated me as though I was trying to scam the company when I called to complain about my $400 phone bill. Others told me that I did the procedure wrong, and that there was nothing I could do to go back and fix it. I have dealt with similar customer service issues with this company, and I am really tired of it. Very few people at T mobile know how to anything besides turning on your phone. There is very little accountability within the company, and when a customer has a complaint about another T mobile employee, customer service will always stick up for their own people. The termination fee will be well worth it.
Five hours of my time waited and about 350 dollars that were not supposed to be on my bill.

I used to have T-mobile for two years. There was never any problem with making arrangements paying my bill. And I would explain to the customer service rep that I get paid every two weeks, so all I had to do was make the initial payment (whatever I could afford), and then my next pay date I would pay the remaining amount--all deducted from my account. On 11/23 I called to make arrangements to pay $70 and on 12/7 make another payment of $160.00. This arrangement was accepted, and I had confirmed it with the csr. I had checked my account the following week to see that I was overdrawn; the csr at my bank told me that T-Mobile debited my account an extra $70 which was unauthorized because that was not the arrangement that was made. So my bank filed a claim against them, made them reverse the $70 and t-mobile applied the $32 NSF fee to my bill.
The next bill I received from them was almost $200 because they said I owed them $70.00 plus $20 NSF--which I was told they were not going to charge since they admitted their mistake. I filed complaints with the BBB and the FCC. I also wrote the corporate office that I am paying the original bill payment of $121.00. The next step is to file a small claim against them.

I went to Cell-net in Smithaven mall in Smithtown, NY. I was interested in a sidekick. The sales person, John, told us that we had free incoming calls with the basic plan being the best plan. We signed up; since then we have returned the sidekick with many defective problems. I did purchase the insurance, and every time the defective phone went back they billed us for a new one. The phone was a nightmare; it cut out all the time. We called Tmobile a lot and got nowhere. We also were told that there was free incoming calls, and when we got our bill it wasn't right. We went back to the store, and the sales person spoke to us saying he was new and must have gotten his facts wrong. We have since shut the phone off and were told they were waving the termination fee because of their error. That has yet to happen.
We have now, pending our complaint, hired a lawyer who is overseeing the outcome; and after researching all the complaints on the sidekick, he says I stand a chance. All we want is the termination fee waived and credit for 1 month when the phone was in their shop (broken), and we got billed $225.00 worth of text messaging. We didn't even have the phone! They lied to us, we got a defective phone, plus we paid for insurance--yet nothing was ever covered. We want to be compensated or we will get Channel 12 News involved down at the store. If my credit gets ruined because of an error on their part, I also want an apology letter.

I switched a plan from Kid Connect to 300 minutes with unlimited texting for my daughter, and after receiving the first bill, found out that TMobile did not add the unlimited text messaging. It was a very costly mistake at $1798.94. That is EXACTLY the reason I added unlimited texting for my daughter, because I knew she would use it. When I called TMobile reps, they said they understood and would be willing to make an adjustment, but that no one I could talk to was authorized to make an adjustment of that amount. I spoke with two managers: same response. When I asked to speak with someone authorized to make that adjustment, since it was their mistake, they said there was no one. Can you believe that? There is always someone. Then I asked for their legal dept., and they immediately started back tracking, saying they tried calling me 4 times to inform me that my usage was getting high.
They have my cell number, home number, email, and every other sort of contact; simple fact is I never heard from them, never received a confirmation of the plan switch detailing the new plan (because then I would have caught it)--just a bill out of the blue for 2K, and a thank you very much, but it was your error for not adding unlimited text messaging. I have since filed complaints with the FCC, CA, BBB, and Attorney General in CA. My advice to anyone signing up for a new plan, or changing an existing plan: get the details in writing before your first bill, and NEVER use TMobile.
Economic damage for their error is in the amount of over $1798. I do not have the money to pursue them on this with an attorney, but I'm sure it will end up on my credit and with a collection agency somewhere, which is absolutely absurd.

In a short amount of time I realized we did not have nights and weekends so I called customer service and they said they would have to change our plan and that it would extend the contract but since it was a new contract no big deal and they had a new special promotion that was $39.95. I asked them how much a family plan for 2 phones was and they said $59.95, so I asked why we had one account and were being charged like 2 individual accounts (80 vs 60). We were told there never was a $39.95 family plan We changed to the $59.95 family plan, with internet and 1000 texts message on my son's phone. The manager said she could give us $60.00 credit for the problem but that was all. We received 2 large bills and I could not figure out why they were still so high. Today, I phoned and they told me that I am not authorized to discuss the account or follow up on open issues on the account because, as of Dec 5th, 2007, the FCC has put new regulations into effect. I asked for information on these regulations, but they were not able to elaborate on this. After speaking with 5 different T-mobile representatives, 4 out of 5 reps/supervisors told me that I need to FAX in a letter on company letterhead authorizing me to access the account. I had an account with T-Mobile until a couple of months ago. Each time I opened my bill, I was being charged for services that I deleted from my service. I often would request the T-Mobile Internet package that was $5.99 because I did not use the features on the more expensive Data Plan for $29.99. Each month I would call and cancel the service, only to find that months later, they had added the $29.99 back to my plan without my consent. I spoke with a representative who ensured me that a Supervisor would contact me, but they never did. So, I ported my services to a different carrier. Now they have sent me to collections who call me daily.
Because I was treated unfairly, I left T-Mobile. My account is now in collections with an absurd $200 early termination fee. I do not feel I should have to pay for services that had unauthorized charges assessed. This makes this account fraudulent.

I have a service plan with T-mobile for my mother-in-law who is a disabled senior citizen. The telephone service with T-mobile is not reliable. Whenever she makes a call the call lasts only a few seconds before she loses service. We purchased this service for her and it does not work as calls are lost before she can tell us anything. We wish to cancel this service with T-mobile but they tell us we are on contract and there will be a $200.00 termination service. We would not cancel if the service was reliable. I do not think it fair for them to charge a fee when the service is not up to par and does not work properly.
They want a $200.00 fee to cancel. Our worry is if Mom has a problem and she can not contact us or someone else. Health is an issue and we need to know if there is a problem.

I signed up with T-Mobile in June of 2004. I got what I thought was a decent plan at $39.99 for 600 minutes per month, a one year contract, and a Samsung phone which came with a $50 mail in rebate. I sent in all the paperwork and never got the $50 rebate. After a few aggravating months, I stopped calling T-Mobile and accepted the $50 loss. In September 2007, I decided to upgrade my phone, which also came with a $50 mail in rebate and of course I had to extend my contract with T-Mobile for another two years. I received the phone in a timely manner but with absolutely no paperwork for the rebate, nor the charges for the new phone. I called T-Mobile days later to see why I haven't received the bill or rebate forms and was assured that I would receive those in the mail. I never got them.
I called T-Mobile again and was told to wait until the charges were put on my credit card and then to call their office to have the rebate forms sent to me. Well, it wasn't until late November 2007 that my credit card was charged for the new phone. I called their office on December 2, 2007 to discuss this with them and the representative that helped me told me that I had to call Young America (the company that deals with all their rebate offers) to have them mail me the rebate forms. Now the representative at Young America (Lewis #493366) tells me that they cannot mail me any rebate forms, T-Mobile has to do that. So I call T-Mobile once again. This time, their representative (Jenna #0150409) tells me that they cannot mail me the rebate forms either. Why am I gettting the run around?
I dont understand, so I request to speak to a supervisor or another representative that could better assist me and all she does is say, I understand how you feel, but there is nothing that we can do. I also tell her that I was given the run around when I first signed up with T-Mobile and that I refuse to let them do the same to me again and that now I am just requesting that T-Mobile credit my account for $50. She refused to that by saying again, I understand how you feel, but there is nothing that we can do. T-Mobile is simply refusing to send me the rebate forms and if they ever do, then I will be denied the rebate because I didn't file it in a timely manner with the company. T-Mobile has seriously disappointed me. I will never recommend them.

I purchased a phone with T-Mobile in January of 2007. Within a few months, it began to malfunction and was replaced under the terms of their replacement program. I had to pay shipping charges to have the new phone sent to me, and had to wait approximately one week for it to arrive. Several months later, the replacement phone began to exhibit the same problems as the first. The second phone was replaced in the exact same manner as the first; I again paid for shipping, and had to wait several days for the replacement. I received my third phone at the beginning of October. On November 17th, I found that the third phone had the same issue as the other two that I had used previously. I took it back to the store where I made the original purchase. The customer service representative at the store put me on the the phone with their corporate customer service department. I explained to the representative on the line that this was the third phone (same model) I had been given, and did not want this one replaced with the same model. I also told them that I thought it was unreasonable that they ask that I wait for another phone to arrive in the mail after they had delivered three defective phones to me. I requested that they issue a purchase credit to my account so that I could choose another phone in the store so that I did not have to leave without a working phone (I do not have a land line). After receiving three defective phones from this company, I did not want to be sent a fourth that would likely have the same problem within the span of several weeks, and did not want to be without service for another week. The customer service representative told me that the only thing he could do was send me another one of the same model or send a different model of a lesser value that did not have the same features as the one I originally paid for. At this point, I asked to speak to a supervisor. This request was refused. The representative refused to do anything other than send me another refurbished phone, or the one that is valued at only a third of what I paid for the original phone. I do not want another defective phone, and although I am extremely dissatisfied with this company's customer service, I do not want a refund. I simply would like a purchase credit for the value of my original purchase so that I may select a phone of comparable value and features and not have to wait for it in the mail. I have been inconvenienced by this whole mess several times already and have paid for service that I have not been able to use for a total of three weeks since January. I am upset that throughout the ten months that I have used this company for service, I have never been given a phone that works for longer than a few months.

On Sept 12th, a member of my family was deployed to the middle east. Prior to leaving, we contacted T-mobile asking the best way to be able to keep in touch. We were sold on Blackberrys and features such as international roaming etc... For an extra $40.00 a month, you can stay in touch 24/7 they claimed. Having been T-mobile customers for more than 5 years, we believed what we were told.
Once he arrived, the service did not work. Numerous calls were made to customer care, our phone bill increasing daily, but assurances of service and credits to come. After two months, finally service was up and running. Upon contacting T-mobile about the promised credits, I was informed they make no such promises, nor do they guarantee service, signal, features etc... It has been a nightmare dealing with this company.
They lie to you at every opportunity just to try to make you shut up and go away. I have filed complaints with the BBB, the FCC and the Attorney Generals office. I will not just shut up and go away. Today, they cut my service for not paying the items in dispute, although I paid my regular charges. This cut off my life line to a kid sitting in the desert. Upon contacting T-mobile and making threats of going to the newspapers, they restored my service for the time being.
I can not begin to describe the emotional distress this company has put me and my family through. Those of you who have sons or daughters serving in the middle east know how important it is to be in touch with them. You are there only source of support that helps them get through the day. Financially, my phone bill is usually less than $200 a month for multiple lines. It is now 10 times that amount.

We would receive a bill every two months, for some reason, and after the first over-use charges came in we called T-mobile and explained that the bills were late: we wanted a bill every month, and we wanted a plan that would take care of the text message problem. He suggested the $19.99 unlimited blackberry feature and told me that everything was taken care of with that.
Next thing I know another two months have passed by, and I get the same exact overages on text messages. Now I call T-mobile, and they say that the records indicate only that the bills were late and nothing about text messages. It does show that the unlimited feature was added but that it doesn't cover text-- data and email. The store does not exist. In fact there is no T-Mobile in West Texas, and you would think T-Mobile would realize that. I was given a fax number and faxed all my contract info to them with no response. In the meantime they suspended my service with no notification or warning.
I received a second bill in late September. I finally talked to another rep (Rod) on 10/08/07 and thought I had resolved all issues. I paid a total of $312.01, and he assured me multiple times that we were all square and there would be no more surprises. I just recently received the third bill, and now they are charging me $69.39 to restore the suspended service. The service would not have been suspended if T-Mobile in any way had been responsive to simple customer inquiries. We have added 2 lines over the last few years, but they are each being treated as new contracts so TMoble owns my soul for 3 more years. Yes they added the new contracts on to the last not consecutively. When I finally picked out the phones to buy outright with cash, I was told I wasn't eligible to purchase a new phone unless I extended my contract since I had too much time still pending. I reminded the gentleman he had just told me my contract is month to month, and the other phone numbers have the contracts added one after the other to total 3 years, because each phone line is a separate account. He said that is only for billing purposes, for purchasing phones, the account is taken as a whole and I have too much time owing, so I can only buy a phone if I add more time(??). Please tell me I am not the only one who can't quite follow this logic. So I have too much time to purchase a new phone outright, but not enough to purchase a phone outright at a discount. So if I renew my contract from 3 years (too much or not enough depending on perspective) to five years I can pay full price cash or discount and rebate cash. My choice.
So far we have not had any real problems with T-Moble but now I am very concerned. The sales person was a slime and I hoped it was only that store but the same thing happend in another store.

I have recently decided to take part in a study abroad program in China. I had been searching for a cell phone that I could use while on my trip so that I could call home and keep in touch with friends and family. I shopped around and stopped at a T-Mobile. I explained to the salesman that I planned to leave for China soon and would like a phone with a company that I could have service with while studying abroad. The salesman told me two very key things that were the deciding point for me buying their service. The first was that my phone would be readily available to use once I arrived in China. Second was that due to their free roaming feature calls I made home would simply come off the minutes I paid for and not charge me any extra.
Both of these things are complete lies. Firstly, my phone was no able to be used upon arrival in China. I ended up lost and stranded in an airport because I could not get a hold of my contact. Apparently you must sign up for this service for your phone to be used overseas. The salesman never mentioned this, even though he knew I planned to be travelling.
Second, once I was finally able to use my phone, I was told that calls home would cost me nearly $3.00 a minute to use. This is most definitely not free as the salesman told me it was.
I was completely lied to on every aspect of my phone, as I see now many people have been. This has cost me the cost of the phone, months of service charges, and even charges for time I have not been able to use. I have been trying to contact customer support with TMobile and have gotten no help what so ever. I've emailed asking to be contacted by a supervisor due to the fact that the customer service staff can not comprehend my requests. None have gotten a hold of me as of yet, and it's been a month.
I can't simply fly home to deal with this so I keep racking up charges on an account I'm not using.
I would certainly like something to be done about this, but I have neither the time nor the money for such action. I would, however, like to be contacted by someone to possibly give me some information on what I can do to. Thank you for your time.

The Sidekick 3 phone was purchased in 2006 and he began to experience problems with the battery which was not able to hold a charge after 8 months of use. He went to the store in Rochester, NY to explain the problem and was told to call 611 from his phone--very difficult for a deaf student who uses internet for communication.
He made 3 trips to the store, then out of frustration, called me in Hawaii for assistance. It took 3 more calls and 2 more trips to the store before he received a loaner phone. He was without his handheld for 3 days (which is an eternity for a deaf person) which I considered to be an unsafe situation for him being thousand of miles away from home.
It took a total of 2 weeks before he received another new phone in April. In June, the battery was not holding the charge so he became frustrated again. He did not want to go through it again so decided to switch providers. We went to the local store in Hawaii to pay off the balance of $5.46; the store noted the account was cancelled. We just received a bill for $220.98 for cancellation and monthly service charges!
I've called to have this charge reversed and was given the customer relations department address to send a letter - no transfer call option was received. I'm in the process of writing a letter.

I have been a T-Mobile customer for several years now. I have also added my boyfriend to my account with a second line. We paid about $300 and change for my T-Mobile Dash phone being used by my boyfriend. He used it for a few weeks and suddenly it was not able to hold a charge. They sent the replacement device but sent me the wrong battery for the phone. Once I received it, I sent the defective device back in the UPS package.
