I don't understand why this site rates the Pixel at 4.9 over-all, when all reviews I see are only one star?? Anyway, I've owned the phone just over 1 year and it has been a consistent pain, wasting dozens of precious hours. Problems with the assistant prevail. OK Google shuts down with every update and is not possible to reinstall without turning off updates. Did a factory reset yesterday to recover assistant, and today, with a new update, it is again missing. Now I cannot even block newest updates. I am furious and the warranty has now run out, and the ONLY way to get any help is through their 'community'. No online support, no phone support. Never again!

Owned this phone for 10 months, when it failed to power up. 1 to 3% max battery, sent to Google for service, they replied with liquid and the cost to repair was greater than to replace. They offered to replace with a reconditioned one at a cost of $363 or return my phone. The problem I have are. 1- The phone was never exposed to liquid. 2- No way to contact a real person to discuss limited options. 3- A new google Black Friday offer new at $399 with 3 months Google Fi. 4- Why would I want another google product if they put out crap and don’t support it.

I travel a lot, so the camera was important. Google Pixel has an awesome camera, in terms of clarity, focus, colors, etc. The phone was fine, but the technology doesn't last! It doesn't update, adjust to new programs or stay reliable. It crashes every 5 minutes, if it isn't 90% charged! If it's 40-60% charged, and one is trying to do anything besides talking or texting, it crashes. I'd try to use the GPS, and use maps, but crashed. That's very bad, as I couldn't reset anything while driving! I had owned a couple of Samsung Galaxy phones. They both lasted a LONG time, updated easily and stayed reliable. They were worth their prices. The pixel did NOT last, or live up to its price!

I had to mail a Pixel4a with 5g that was under warranty to Google, as that is the only option to get service. Out of the blue the UI system stopped responding. They told me to take it to a service center an hour away. I walked in and explained the problem. Without looking at the phone they knew immediately that it needed a motherboard replacement and told me to contact Google. On the way back home I spent an hour on the phone with Google asking them to ship a replacement and bill me and I would then ship the phone under warranty to them and they could credit my account when they receive the defective phone, minimizing my time without a phone. The representative said that there was not a supervisor available to OK this. In all of Google, not one supervisor available. Unbelievable!
I give up on trying to get a phone expedited to me, and tell them to send me the RMA and shipping label. I follow the instructions given and never receive the label. After a week I contact customer support again and finally receive a label. I package the phone carefully surrounding it with protective cushioning and place it in a box, and send it back to Google. A week later I receive a response, "Your phone has a software issue and it would be to costly to repair, we will send you a refurbished phone, however your screen is cracked, so it will cost you $150 for the refurbished phone." WHAT!! The phone was in pristine physical condition, the screen was not cracked. Google says, "Sorry the screen is cracked now and that is all we can do."
I contact customer service again and explain the issue and they ask if I used my own packaging? "Yes of course, you only sent me a label, what was I supposed to use." "Well since you used your own packaging there is nothing we can do." I ask for a photo of the cracked screen, Google responds with, "We are unable to provide you with a photo." WHAT!! So I am left with pay for the damage that, if it was there, I did not cause, or have the unfixable phone sent back to me, only now they have cracked the screen. So I send in the $150 to get my phone back. I will not be purchasing the Pixel 6 that I had planned on purchasing. Nor will I ever spend another dollar on a Google product of any kind ever again. I also tell this story to as many people as possible when the opportunity arises.

The Pixel 3a lasted for 16 months before I turned it off and it never turned back on. Considering I still have 8 months of payments left, it's a pretty bad deal. Customer Service was unwilling to offer any support. I'm very disappointed in what I hoped would be a lasting and decent product.

The phone is expensive compared to phones with better specifications and reviews from Samsung. Based on my experience, it is far behind the iPhone. First, its battery is very weak, you need to charge it frequently. Second, they usually will face a battery problem or power problem, you can look at the reviews. Mine started turning off frequently 8 months after my purchase, and one day it did not turn on. The company does not accept the low quality of their phone, although this is the most reported problem in the reviews. They told me that the power problem can be repaired by them with no charge. However, after examination, they told me there is also a problem with the audio system!!, and I need to pay for that. I did not have any audio problem, and I think they wanted to charge me. I never buy a phone from Google again. Stay away from this phone if you do not want to buy a new one in a year.

I have my family of four using Pixel phones, I replaced the pixel 2xl with Pixel 4xl's about 15 months ago. I had 2 phones fail on pixel 2xl but decide to try again. Change everyone to Pixel 4xl with hope they are better quality. One of the Pixel 4xl's began having charge and boot problems just before one year warranty and luckily Google fixed it. A second phone started have same problem charging and booting up about 15 months, this time I was kicked to curb. Online I see all kind of people having same problems and something about extending warranty, but they did not. They want me to buy another refurb phone for $500 plus.
There isn't a way to contact them other than email, no service company. 2 phones failed neither damage in any way from us. Verizon sells you phones but they don't last 2 years to pay for them. Now I am still paying for a phone that doesn't work. Whole system is a racket. 50% failures of phones is horrible. Don't consider these product. Buy something else. I soon as I can afford it I will get rid of all of them.

I am so delighted with the Pixel phone that I recently purchased two new models, using the "zero percent financing" promotion. A $2 monthly charge began after the second invoice, itemized as "minimum interest charge". I called and learned that the $69 prepaid service plan was not included in the promotion, causing a small amount of monthly interest that increases to $2, or $24 per year. I spoke with a service representative who allowed me to pay the $69, confirming that this action would prevent further charges. However, the company has rescinded the solution and continues to charge, despite my written request for resolution. Bottom line, I warn others to tread carefully. I have lost confidence with the Google store purchase financed by Synchrony Bank.

Within 2 months of owning this phone I was unable to charge it without powering it down. Purchased at Best Buy but they are unable to do anything about supporting a warranty from Google. Best Buy is not contracted by Google to do any type of warranty replacement or work. Wish I had been told this before I purchased the phone. Best Buy did everything they could to help me reach Google. But this has proven to be almost an impossibility. Google does not want to talk to customers. They have no customer service. And it's very difficult to figure out how to even find a chat or a phone number to call.
I called five different phone numbers. Rvery one of them ended up in a loop with absolutely no human contact whatsoever. One person did finally call me back but I was unavailable as I was in the restroom, but this person left absolutely no way for me to call them back. They didn't reach out a second time. They didn't even try. Spent an hour on a chat with service people in India, their only resolution was for me to mail back my phone to them and live without a phone for a minimum of 10 days. That's not acceptable. Google does not care about helping customers. They should not be in the business of selling phones. Or they need to figure out how to contract with Best Buy or whoever sells their phones that they can actually help customers as Google has no interest in doing so.

I am writing this review from my Pixel 2xl, bad start to a Pixel 4xl review. First off I loved the Pixel 4xl... When it works/ed. In less than 8 months I've had the same battery not recognized or battery stuck at 50% issue before it just would not turn back on. AT&T was zero help but at least Google was quick with a repair back in Oct last year. However this time, less than 8 months later, here we are with the same issue. Now Google is not so quick with a resolution. I chatted with Pearl online from Google with reassurances that she would personally handle this issue. Days later, multiple questions answered, multiple screenshots sent, dozens of troubleshooting attempts that do not work, and a phone just one year old all I have is the equivalent of we'll get to it when we get to it...
"As discussed, I've forwarded the details to our specialist and they're currently working on this. We'll get back to you once we have an update from them regarding this case. (Your Google Support Inquiry: Case ID [**])" I hope your social media scrubber catches this because right now you suck Google and I truly hope everyone else sees this.

Our Son Ricky loves Pixel phones, but at least with our experience the phones do not love us. Ricky’s first phone was a Pixel. At about a year the battery crapped out on it. So we got him a Pixel 2XL and he absolutely loved the phone until, one day it just shut off and restarted endlessly, they call it boot loop. Anyway it was over a year and out of warranty so he purchased a Pixel 3, and it was also good for a little over the one year warranty, and then its battery got so bad he had to basically run from charger to charger to use it. This led us to him purchasing a his last and current phone the Pixel 4XL.
This phone on December 15th of 2020 would not charge, when you plugged it in to the charger it showed a battery symbol with a question mark in it and would not stay on if you disconnected it from the charger (by the way the warranty expired on December 12th). When I went online to the Google repair center for that model phone it said if there was a battery issue it was covered on an additional one year warranty, so I went through the steps and had them send me a box and we returned it for repair.
A little over a week went by and I received an email stating that they checked it out and discovered that in addition to the battery issue there was an audio issue and asked for $122.00 plus tax to repair it. I knew there was no audio issue so I declined the repair and requested it to be returned and ordered a new OEM battery from Amazon.
When it arrived I went to disassemble it to replace the battery only to find out that they had disassembled it and because I declined the repair sent it back missing the parts they removed to check it out like screws, and an important part called the battery connection plate. So I purchased screws, could not find the plate online, so manufactured one myself and got the phone working like new, no audio issue whatsoever, but this whole issue infuriated me and I went on a quest to get this resolved, my time, my patience, my money spent repairing my son's phone when they should have under the warranty they stated.
30 emails later, almost 45 days of reexplaining the issue to whomever they passed me onto, after promising to escalate this to the highest person in the repair department my final email from them stated, "We're sorry for your inconvenience and here is a $25.00 credit to use as you please." So my advice to everyone who is considering a Pixel phone is “Don’t waste your time, and hard earned money”.

My Pixel 4a has had malfunctioning buttons for the 6 months I had the phone. It’s been a minor inconvenience but I finally had to send in a repair order because the power button refused to turn my phone on. After sending it in Google is claiming that the only issue with my phone is a screen crack that they want to charge me $100 to fix. First of all, the crack is in the screen protector. They want to charge me $100 to take off my screen protector. Second, the phone won’t power on. And they won’t fix it. So I literally threw $400 away. Rest assured I will never own another Pixel, Pixel device, or do any paid business with Google. Definitely do not recommend.

This is regarding My Google Pixel 3A repair request created in Google Support (B2X) dated 22/01/2021. My Pixel 3A device front glass was broken, so I created a repair request via Google Support (**) where they estimated the price of 4000-5000rs. The only issue with my device was broken glass but when they sent me a quotation, it was of 8691.91Rs. This includes Replace Display, Replace Midplate, Replace Backglass (My Phone doesn't have backglass. It has only a plastic back cover), Replace Rear Camera (I have never faced any issue with the rear camera but they found it and want to replace it), Replace USB (This was working fine when I handed over the device to B2X Device pickup guy).
So, When I asked them not to fix anything other than Broken glass, they tried to take cover saying our policy doesn't allow partial repair. Then I asked for a Policy document where it is mentioned, show me the document, They had no answer for that (**). Then I asked them to return my mobile by fixing the USB-C issue which is damaged by them, as it was working when I handed over the device to them. I have rejected the quotation but I am not sure what all issues they might have added to my device. Google Service is pathetic, gives mental torture. I will not buy any pixel phone here onwards.

I had switched over to a Google Pixel less than 3 years ago from a Galaxy 3. I will never purchase another pixel phone again. I was a huge Google fan and of course when they came out with a phone I had to have one, purchasing the pixel 2; I even talked my bf into purchasing the same one but he got an XL. About 6 months in I started having problems, where it would just shut off or make a loud screeching noise until I turned it off. For the past few weeks I have been unable to use the back camera and my phone shuts off constantly when launching apps, even with 80% battery. Google voice rarely understands my requests anymore (I speak perfect English) and when I need my phone to work most - navigation, internet, camera, texting, phone calls, etc it fails me more times than works.
I am looking back at Galaxy phones as the last one I had worked for 8 years. These Google phones are crap and Google fails to provide any kind of customer support toward their own software failures, go through where you purchased it first. I have googled and youtubed all my issues, assessing that MANY others have these same/similar and worse problems. It's unfortunate and it will take much convincing for me to come back to Google Pixel. At this point the phone is becoming more and more useless. If this review helps you, please do not purchase one of these expensive phones for it to not function less than two years later. Save yourself the headache.

If you're buying a Google Pixel 4a for the camera, then I think you'll definitely get your money's worth! That being said, I purchased this phone as a replacement for my One Plus 6. Terrible idea! This phone is extremely slow, terrible battery life and the main settings view does not allow you to toggle your location. I believe this was done on purpose to collect as much telemetry data as possible on its users.
Anyways, for me that's not a huge deal as I am a fairly boring person, but like I previously mentioned the battery life is so poor on this phone that having excess programs running like location, Chrome tabs and such drains the battery way too fast. I went from a phone with 5 times the performance to a slow crap phone with 1/3 the battery life. I used to charge my one plus every two to three days. If I forget to charge my pixel every night before I go to bed, it will likely die. I recommend spending a little extra money to buy a phone that uses better hardware and actually values your privacy.

I don't even know where to start with the amount of frustration I've dealt with with this product. At first it was seemingly user-friendly and basic almost too much so. But even the stable features that it boasted started falling short. To name a few, the Google Assistant always was trash (incorrectly interpreting commands, limited functionality compared to competitors etc... etc...) and will continue to be trash. They update it every once in awhile causing it to interfere with everything else in the phone (Bluetooth, phone calls, and even the audio of recorded videos has a slight hiss frequency with the assistant enabled). The security screen boasts smart Lock to remain unlocked in locations you designate as safe or while carrying on your body. The location never worked for me and if I had the smart Lock on I was pocket dialing everyone in my contact list.
The only feature that I was excited about with my initial experience was the fingerprint sensor that won't work if the phone is too cold or if there's anything foreign on the sensor or your fingers (dust, residue, oils). And as of now, only eight months into owning the device, the sensor has completely stopped working despite all efforts of resetting and cleaning. These are all issues with hardware and software from launch. Mind you, I am super paranoid about dropping and damaging my phones so I take great care in handling, maintenance, and protection of my devices. The way they make this experience even worse is how the support chose to handle my situation even as a faithful patron to them for going on two years now. I have paid $5 per month for device protection AND my device still falls under warranty but EVERYONE I'M NOT EVEN JOKING WHEN I SAY READ THE FINE PRINT!
I bought my phone from the Google store and I'm on a contract paying monthly and this hardware failure falls under my warranty that is still active BUT they told me I need to have the full amount of a new replacement on hold on my credit card (for me $400) for one month while they assess my original phone to decide if it falls under warranty. If the faulty phone doesn't (which we all know from experience with big tech companies warranties can be completely hit and miss) then they charge you the full amount for the new phone that they replaced it with, despite any plans, contracts or protection you currently have with them. So you buy a $600 phone and have issues that shouldn't be there in the first place, you better have another $600 just laying around to float for a month and MAYBE you won't have to pay $1200 for a phone that isn't a COMPLETE piece of crap.
OH! and the "new" $600 phone they sent you "might" be refurbished from other returned phones *eye roll* (again in the fine print at the very very bottom of the warranty.) Now mind you these are features that Google relies on advertising to make sales and these features commonly pop up in forums as device faults. I talked to three different customer support Representatives. One of them residing in Asia. A second one residing in Washington. And a third one residing in India. All three of them sympathized with my frustration and agreed that it shouldn't be happening but said their hands are tied.
I asked to speak to someone with more power and wound up sitting on hold for an hour before my line disconnected. So, I am a reasonable consumer and try not to be a Kevin (sorry Kevins) but after I'm done making my payments on this phone I will be moving my patronage to a different company that actually stands by their word and puts their trillion dollars where their mouth is. Do not make the same mistake and IF YOU MUST EXPLORE, only purchase a product from this company if you are completely 100% okay with being on your own with any difficulties. And read the forums, do your research, the difficulties are way too many for a company with this much power and money.
I wish that I could have left a good review, I really wanted this to be a great experience, but instead I feel like I'm cutting the cord with an abusive relationship and the other party moved on long before it even began. Good luck out there and be safe and someone else should try leaving a review for Google products and tell me where you can do that. This is the only place that I found I could leave a review for their product. Anywhere within Google was telling me to leave feedback within their tech support and there was nowhere they would let me leave a review for their product to be seen publicly. Red flag? You be the judge.

I purchased my Google Pixel 3A XL back in January of 2020 through my provider Rogers Wireless. A couple of months after having the phone the bottom internal speaker stopped working in it, so that means no speak phone, no video chats, no notifications, no alarm, no call sound. Upon my online research I discovered that a lot of purchasers of the phone were having the same problem. I sent it in along with all of its accessories for repairs to Mississauga under my warranty since there were no local shops in my City that would fix it under warranty. They demanded that I send my old device first before they would send a replacement.
They told me originally 5-10 business days. But the entire process took over two weeks. I might add that Google doesn't usually allow you to log into your Gmail unless you verify it through your phone, which I did not have. So essentially I was locked out everything Google the entire time... I had to create a new gmail just to get help online. There is no phone number to call, there is no person to talk to at Google, period. It is an extremely impersonal service.
I was not able to track my phones repair status because I could not get into my gmail to get the RMA number, because they had my phone... And the online chat reps that I spoke to were unable to help without that number. Their reach was very very limited. In fact I had to reach out to an online rep at least 7 times if not more to get updates on what was going on with my phone and where it was. Most of the time the online chat support would crash, or they were simply unable to help me and would keep sending me follow up emails after each chat to say they "Were still looking into the problem" five days later and they still will not have an answer. I have to add that you cannot get any online chat support unless you are signed into your Google account.
Google also does not allow your cell phone provider to contact them regarding your device once it is sent out for repairs. They finally sent back my phone and gave me a tracking number for Canada Post and the tracking number did not work, I reported it to them. They said the Canada Post website was down and was not able to tell me where my phone was at any time, they sent it back snail mail putting them over their promised deliver by date. My phone luckily, randomly showed up dropped on my doorstep without signature required. They also gave me a refurbished phone, even though I paid for a new phone with warranty originally. They sold me a defective phone and then gave me back a refurbished phone and delayed the process, were essentially unavailable to talk to during the entire process and then they did not give me a charger or anything to accompany the phone that I paid for.
They made me send back my charger and all accessories with my old phone and did not provide me with a charger or any of the accessories it originally came with, just a refurbished phone in a box. Then I come to find out a day later that I am no longer allowed to download music and listen to it on my phone and am being forced to switch to and migrate my music to Youtube music, and cannot do anything else on my phone while listening unless I upgrade to Youtube Red and pay for premium. Safe to say I feel ripped off and taken advantage of and outraged and I will be telling every single person I know about my experience and sharing this experience online wherever I can. Google product is absolute trash, DON'T DO IT.

As far as basic functionality, it's actually great, though the camera is definitely not all it's hyped up to be. The Google Assistant is forced, with no option of disabling, with the Pixel. That means almost every call I get is being filtered through a robot greeter. This is my BUSINESS phone!!! Most of my transcripts say just "disconnected". Know why? Because EVERYONE HANGS UP!!! I have bumped into two people who WERE potential clients who said they went with someone else because of the Assistant robo greeting, thinking it was the wrong number. Even my best friend called back, thinking it was the wrong number and had to leave an explanation before I was even allowed to see he had tried.
My business DEPENDS on people I don't know reaching out to me but no one can get through and my business has literally come to a screeching halt since getting this phone. I turned it off in the settings but it just keeps turning itself back on, every time the phone rings with a new number. I even disabled it in my actual Google account. This phone is ruining me. Verizon won't help, saying it's a Google problem not a Verizon problem so I'm just screwed.

I've had my Google Pixel 3 phone for just over a year. I was happy with the phone until a few days ago, when I noticed the battery had expanded. I tried contacting Google on their help page, using the "contact us" tab for a "chat with an expert." First, I was told that I had to contact them through the account where the phone was purchased (my husband's account). I did that. In the next 2 chats, I kept being told the same thing. I provided the account ID, IMEI # for the phone, receipt (which was part of their records) - and of course, a description of the actual problem. The Google reps just kept saying they couldn't do anything until I contacted them through the account where the phone was purchased - which of course, I was doing.
The THIRD time I entered a chat session (because I can't have a phone with a swollen battery forever), the rep started off by giving me the same runaround as I'd had before. Then, he finally told me my phone was out of warranty and I needed to contact their repair partner for a battery replacement. That could have been done in 1 chat session, in a few seconds. What a complete waste of my time, and utter failure to support customers or stand behind an expensive product.

I have owned my Google Pixel 4 for two months of an 18 month contract. I totally regret getting this phone. Its features are way less than my previous handset a Huawei P10. It has no fingerprint reader and relies on the camera to unlock on seeing your face. This only works around 50% of the time. About 99% on Huawei. When the face id doesn't work it brings up a number pad to unlock the handset. This is so slow if you don't press a digit and wait a couple of seconds before entering next digit. It won't recognise your unlock code.
All apps in in a long list and you have to spend ages adding them to your home screen. The android experience is way lower than the previous phone and this is native android. I won't buy a google hand set again and can wait for this contract to end. I have swapped my sim back to my Huawei and no longer use the pixel. Having owned phones for over 20 years this is the worst handset I have ever had. VERY disappointed. If anyone know how I can place a review on google's site please let me know. Thanks.

I asked several times what the issue was before someone told me it was a battery problem. I was then told that they would replace the phone with a pristine/refurbished phone. I asked them to replace the battery in my phone and was told by a manager by the name of Jeff "Google does not replace batteries" only devices. I asked that they replace my current mint condition phone, with the exception of a bad battery with a new phone. I was told by the same manager "this is not possible under Google's warranty guidelines".
I asked if the replacement phone would have a new battery installed and was told "No, we don't change batteries". So I asked "you are suggesting that I accept a refurbished phone that could be up to a year old with an original battery that could have in access of 365 charge cycles on it as a direct replacement for my brand new phone and was told "This is our policies. Accept them or don't, your choice." I asked if they would cover the cost of the replacement battery at a Google certified repair center like Ubreak Ifix and was told "NO". Texting issues as well. I reported it. Went through hell but they finally agreed to send a phone. It took multiple calls and emails. Then they sent not a new phone (despite buying a new phone) - they sent a refurbished phone. Also defective and dirty/used/not ok.
They've now taken almost $1000 of my money - I don't have a working phone - and all that customer service says - for literally 6 months now - is that it's "escalated to a specialist" and there's been no way for me to get any other answers. We generated the requested bug reports and screenshots and sent them in. Sent them again three days later, and again on that day from a second email address to assure they would receive the requested files. The only response was a notice to only use the original Gmail account. At least we know the files must have been received. No analysis of the reports appears to have been done, and no follow up was attempted by Google.
Called multiple times where the entire problem had to be related for the existing incident. Never any follow up. During this time multiple techs at Verizon attempted to diagnose the problem, and sales at Target tried to determine how to follow up with Google warranty. Finally spoke to a Google support supervisor who stated the warranty would only be honored if the phone was examined by a "Ubreakifx" technician. The nearest ubreakifix location is in Newton CT, 80+ miles from our location Albany N.Y. The Ubreakifix technician diagnosed a bad motherboard on December 7. He states this is a common problem, and Google has a history of not supporting the product. We will see if Google ever honors the hardware warranty. Next step, NY Attorney General complaint.

After spending hours trying to fix, adjust, reset and the massively lame tech support from India, Google's solution is to either send phone in for a 7-10 turn around time or take it to their designated and unheard 3rd party service vendor, a major security concern if you have data on your phone with an undetermined turn around time. Multiple calls and 3 weeks of owning the phone I am told Spectrum would not exchange it for a new one and I must call Google.
Google downgrades your warranty if you buy it from a retailer and not from them. (Figure that one out, guess they want all the profit.) After calling them repeatedly with issues such as smart lock doesn't work, bluetooth doesn't recognize and stay connected, no notification that I have voicemail, and last but not least it did not recognize I was home and continuously locked my phone, I gave up and said I wanted them to replace my phone since it was several days past the big 14 day warranty that Spectrum gave me. Google then tells me they will not replace my phone but I should take it to uBreakiFix, which I did. They (GOOGLE) then refused to do the repair even though uBreakiFix had the part and was ready to do the repair.
We went back and forth for several weeks. GOOGLE saying that wasn't able to fix the phone even though I had the work order with the denial from Google and emailed it to them. After continuous calls to them they decided to escalate it and there it sits. Constant calls and emails got me nowhere. uBreakiFix contacted them with no results. Then finally they said they would replace it with a REFURBISHED PHONE. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? NOT a new exchange for a phone that is 3 weeks old and was damaged when I received it. (THE MOTHERBOARD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.) The next day I received an email saying DO NOT RETURN THE PHONE since it has a ticket and was escalated. So back to square one.
uBreakiFix was wonderful through this whole ordeal and because they felt GOOGLE had such poor customer service and they had told (GOOGLE) it is not right to treat a customer this way. uBreakiFix repaired my phone and ate the cost. KUDOS AND 5 STARS TO uBreakiFix. I was told when GOOGLE first escalated this issue that it would be 24-48 hours to resolve it. Every time I call they say, "Senior person will contact you in 24 to 48 hrs." But no response yet. When I call back again it's a new person whom I talking who don't have much idea about my problem. Again I explain problem to him and they say sorry and escalate the issue. Their support team only knows to escalate the issue not to solve it. Everything is on call only. You can't even catch hold of this people and do anything. So it's a serious service gap of Google phone. DON'T EVER BUY A GOOGLE PHONE. They are not competent enough to service their customers in spite of buying such a premium phone. Total waste of time. Mental stress is another thing that happens when you have to follow up with this service person. As they only know one line "sorry for the inconveniences. I have escalated your issue, you will receive a callback within 24 - 48 hrs." Pathetic support team. PLEASE PLEASE DON'T GO FOR IT EVER. #GOOGLEPIXEL #MADEBYGOOGLE

I have had non-stop issues with Google-fi LTE network and have chatted/called to fix this issue and it still does not work! I purchased the phone on payments on April 11, 2019 - then activated it April 15, 2019. Six days later the SAME phone was discounted 50% and I was not told or was even offered the promotion. I then checked today 45 days into my plan and the same phone is -$200 and I am not able to return the device or get the promo credits. With all the issues with the LTE and them not advising me about the promo or even offering to adjust it is complete crap! Don't bother with these trash cans either.

Customer Service in Spain is terrible. My phone was unfunctional, nearly one year after buying it. First contact with customer service was fast and ok. Restore original settings, and so on. Once all tests were done from my side and nothing worked, "especialists" took care of the issue. It's more than two weeks now that specialists are working on it. Funny thing is that they never asked for the phone, which is here with me, so I wonder how are they working on it. I asked and asked many times what are they doing and why is it taking so long. The answer is always the same,"You have to be patient." I am not patient any more, I am really angry about it. I will never buy a Google phone again, I am really disappointed.

I purchased Google Pixel-1 on 10th July 2017 and within an year (22 June, 2018) faced issue with microphone where callers can't hear my voice. As my device was still under warranty the phone was shipped to Service Center in Mumbai, India and motherboard was replaced free of cost to address the issue. Within 2 months again the same problem appeared where callers can’t hear my voice and sent the phone to service center on 8-Aug-2018. This time as my phone was out of warranty I had to pay for the service and fixed it.
I am totally frustrated now as the same problem appeared in April 2019 and now I got a quotation of 23,000 INR to replace the Motherboard. It's an awful experience as a customer as the phone is not at all worth from a company like Google and its reviews across Internet are the same. Nobody cares the picture quality of Pixel when the device is not worth a phone call. Customer support is super annoying where they can't escalate the issue and can't give me a call back on time or make me talk to their supervisor. This is my first complaint this forum and I will find out how to log a consumer complaint on Google.

I bought a brand new Pixel 3 device and within 2 weeks of buying it the screen started flashing rendering the phone unusable. I got in touch with the service centre who took the phone saying they'd fix it and give it back to me. This same thing has now happened to me 4 times in the last 3 months. The phone comes back to me and within a week starts flashing again. No matter how many times I've told them, they refuse to give me a new device or refund my money. This has been the worst customer care experience of my life and I think no-one should be buying Google phones as they are currently making very faulty pieces.

Awful phone and worse company. My brand new phone did not work after two months. Their solution was to send a refurbished phone that they assured me was like new because of their strict refurbishing process. The phone they sent me malfunctioned as well. I asked for a refund. They refuse. They keep telling me I can only continue to get refurbished phones and no refunds allowed even though every device they send me doesn't work. BEWARE!!!!

I got this phone 2 months ago and I feel completely trapped and hopeless thanks to Google's customer service. There is nowhere else I've been able to review this phone. Basically since I got this phone apps have been crashing and I've had to do constant updates just to simply make the phone work like it's supposed to. And then a MONTH after purchasing the phone a software error made it so that my camera, the only reason I got this phone, no longer opened or worked. I contacted Google's customer service who told me if I sent it in I could get the phone replaced. Within the week I accidentally dropped the phone and the screen cracked. Google will no longer replace the faulty phone they sold me a month ago because now due to the external damage it is "no longer within warranty"...a MONTH after receiving the phone.
I now will have to pay $500 to "uBreakiFix" for them to fix the external damage just for Google to replace this phone that I paid to get fixed with a new phone. I insisted I just wanted my cracked phone fixed as the software problem has nothing to do with the external damage and they said they could not do that. I need the external damage paid for and fixed before they can sent me AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PHONE. There is absolutely no solution and I feel trapped and completely devastated. There is no other avenue for me to review this phone and I honestly feel like Google has made it so that their unhappy customers have to go through mostly unseen websites to review their terrible product. Basically I would not recommend this phone, or Google products in general to anyone.

Google Pixel customer service is useless. All they do is repeat bad policy as though it is a law and solution. I am furious. I paid full price for a Pixel 3XL and it arrived with so many issues, I tried to get it replaced. Google refuses to send me a new phone, only a refurbished phone. I paid $900 for a new phone and they want to send me a refurbished (used) phone for that same price when they sell refurbished phones for $350 Less. They refuse to reimburse me. That is stealing! Plain and simple. A wonky phone and a bad policy. Google is stealing my money.

My son's Google Pixel XL started having problems. When we would charge it the phone would not stay on. Now the phone will charge turned off but will never turn on. When I contacted Verizon they told us to contact the Google Pixel customer service since it's been less than a year and still under warranty. Once I contacted them they requested the proof of purchase which I sent along with our payment plan both of which were turned down so I had to get the Verizon store on the phone that I had purchased it from. They sent over their official proof of purchase.
That was still not enough then they had another issue since it is my son's phone who is 13. Keep in mind I purchase the phone, paid for it and my signature is on the receipt. But my son's email is the one that's linked to the Google Pixel with family link in my email link to that. It's clear they do not want to help us nor stand by their warranty and I've been on the phone with Google device care for over 3 hours trying to resolve this issue. It looks like I will have to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau because they are unwilling to stand by their warranty. We will never purchase another Google Pixel phone.

This phone is GREAT except for ONE MAJOR FLAW - the battery life is terrible! I mean, I am blown away by how awful. On a full charge, with regular use, the battery runs out after about 5-6 hours. That is just not acceptable at all in a brand new, high tech, high end expensive phone like this. It's really a shame too, since everything else on this phone is so stellar. Especially the photos. But my previous, 2 year old, $175 Motorola phone has a battery life that's twice as good as this one out of the box. Google really needs to figure out the battery issue because otherwise this is a great phone, but the battery life is simply unacceptable. I returned mine.

We had our Google Pixel for only about a year and a half before the motherboard shorted out and had to get replaced. Google told us to bring it to the nearest "uBreakiFix" store to have it fixed. They say the motherboards are on backorder. It has been over four weeks since my elderly mother has been able to take or send phone calls. I've called and spoken to Google Customer Service several times about this issue and they say there is nothing they can do. Absolutely terrible.

I recently tried to order a Pixel 2 phone and start Project Fi service for my mom and I. All seemed well, and we hit the "buy" button. Unfortunately, Google (I think) seemed to think there was possibly fraudulent activity on the account, and sent a request for more information--which included asking to upload bank statements, photos of my government-issued IDs, and photos of credit cards. I have never been asked to verify an online payment via sharing all of my financial information, and would caution Google against normalizing such means, as these are techniques often used by scam organizations. If, in fact, this was a fraudulent request, then Google is doing a very poor job screening such emails. Unfortunately, the Google help chat folks were very unhelpful as well. If this continues, I will absolutely NEVER recommend Project Fi to anyone, despite its reasonable-seeming cost.

I love my Google Pixel! It has all the convenience of an iPhone with all the flexibility of a traditional Android. The pictures come out beautifully. I also prefer the fingerprint scanner location to all other phones. It's in the back, right where you hold the phone anyway. Really convenient and really fun to use!
