I signed up for automatic payment for a Boost mobile #. They took money out the 2nd month (I have the bank statement confirming). Then they shut the phone off and said my payment didn't go thru. I sent the proof and still they kept the phone off and I still have not received my monies back. The reps are saying they don't have my card on file, yet they took out a payment. They still are saying they don't have it file even after I proved they took the money out. Their customer reps aren't very bright and I talked to a Bernadette (if that's her real name) and she couldn't answer how they took money out. If they had no acct information, I am bull and if I don't get my money back soon, I am reporting them to everyone and anyone. Really irritating because now I have to stop payment on them and that will cost money after they already ripped me off!

I have a brother who owned a Boost Mobile phone for 2 years. It was shut off and he was on another plan. He decided to pull out Boost Mobile phone and use it again after 6 months. Boost Mobile failed to tell him that they issued his number to someone else and that he can't get his money back. BOOST MOBILE is for burner phones only!!! You can't use them outside of a certain limit and they are no good for traveling. They are a no good company unless you are doing dirt!! Dirt goes with dirt and Boost mobile is straight up dirt. So my advice to you is to NEVER purchase a Boost mobile phone.

Fed up with Boost. LG Tribute 5 which I purchased less than 2 weeks ago has a slow charging issue & best they can tell you is "contact LG". They take no responsibility in selling you a defective product. According to them & their policy, it doesn't matter if your phone is old or new, if it is defective you have to deal with the manufacturer, even though you bought the phone from them. Last Boost phone I will ever buy. Going to let service expire & just find a better company. Anything should be a step up after dealing with these people.

If you go into any Boost Mobile store, you will encounter low rent people running the store, who know nothing about phones. They tell you they can't help you at all with technical problems or even setting up a phone you JUST BOUGHT. You have to call their 800 number and wait, and then talk to someone from India you can't understand. Also, I've called their 800 number before. The outsourced Indian people also have no clue about your problem generally, I've even heard a guy simply reading an owners manual to me. Terrible customer service. Only good part is they are cheap and allow unlimited text/data/calls for a good price.

But then I figured out I had been with them for at least 3 years trying to use their phones. They worked but payment shrinkage never changed... It says if I use Boost for so many months my payment will go down but it never did. So I finally got enough of giving Boost mobile 60.00 a month. It's like they're stealing and even more than that they're lying to people. Please do something about this issues. Thank you.

When I called to get new account info they started they couldn't give me anything. I had to dispute a bunch of fraudulent charges and have card turned off. Very unprofessional if not criminal. Going to lawyer to see about suing.

I am very disappointed with Boost Mobile. I had a phone stolen. It was recently reactivated by someone. They not only reactivated the phone, they activated it with my current number. Myself and another person had the same number. I tried to call all the contact numbers at least 12 times and you never get to talk to an actual person. I am so upset. They not only turned a stolen phone on but they gave the person my phone number. I think I am done with them.

I have been a customer with Boost Mobile since the days of nextel. My plan usually renews on the 17th of every month and I have two gigabytes included with my unlimited service. My hotspot turned off two days early apparently we used it up a little sooner than expected. So my husband called to find out if we could pay or do something to get it on two days early and a man named Juan told us we can renew our service and get 8 gigabytes instead of 2. Sounded like a good deal so we did that and a hot spot came back on but by the morning it was off again.
I have called customer service 7x total and have been told that we used 8 gigabytes in 4 hours which is absolutely impossible. I was told they put in a work order on Wednesday the 17th. I have heard nothing. We called back today and they have no record of a work order. I think I will be going elsewhere for service. We did not use 8 gigabytes in 4 hours. We barely used two in 30 days in all the months we had the hotspot. We were told we would not get gigabytes till next month. We never used this months! My phone keeps track and can prove it. Thank you.

I've been with Boost Mobile for almost 4yrs on a $35 dollar plan, a crappy phone that the data got throttled almost immediately after the monthly payment was made. Got tired of it and bought a LG Stylo which is 3G 4G LTE capable. So I upgraded plans to $60 per month unlimited everything with high speed internet with no throttling. I've had one month of fair high speed internet so I decided to keep the plan and pay the $65 which includes tax. Now it's been six days from paying the 2nd month and I have had nothing but 3G data speed. Sounds like throttling to me. If this ** keep up I will get rid of boost mobile and go get straight talk unlimited high speed or maybe metropcs.

I was also just informed today that the Services has been acting up since I started my service but I was informed by customer service that there was no problem with the service, we had excellent coverage. I should have been informed that the service was not working properly. At the time of starting the service Boost Mobile fail to provide me with the service that I paid for of $60 each month but I was told by customer service they would only give me a dollar a day for the days that I was without internet service. If you are thinking about going to Boost, DON'T, UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF. Customer service can't help you when you need technical support, managers don't know how to keep their customers happy and the Boost stores just erase your info, apps, and pictures without your permission, not to mention go thru your personal information on your phone, like pictures, bank accounts, pins, etc. I don't get their service in my area, so all I want is $5.00 that I have in the account and they will not issue me a refund. If a lousy $5.00 is going to hurt the company then they must be in really bad shape. Still gives them no reason to take people's hard earned money. Worst company in the world!!

I've been with Boost Mobile since April 2010. All was well until the past 10 to 12 months. Customer service has been outsourced longer than I can remember, but trying to get to and speak with a person in customer service is extremely difficult now and unless you speak Mandarin, you only think you understand them - and they you. Auto-pay got me double drafted at the bank due to "technical difficulties beyond their control" twice, and trying to get a refund is round after round of excuses and delays.
The latest being I couldn't be refunded unless they suspended (disconnected) my service. Stating I wouldn't even be able to call in an emergency. Finally out of patience, I switched carriers and actually got the same "deal" for $15.00 less. In addition - they do not charge a handling fee for taking my money whether I use auto-pay, pay online at their site, or pay cash in their store. They won't buy my old phone back since I quit them, and they won't unlock it so someone else can buy it at a thrift store to use, so I pitched it into the irrigation canal behind my house and it will be at the bottom of a nearby lake in no time. Boost is Bad Business - DON'T DO IT!

I was tired of my old cell phone provider of over a decade so I ordered a ZTE Warp Sync from the Boost mobile 800 number. I only did because I was told I had the promotion of the second month of service free ($40). The phone cost about $150. I did not activate the phone immediately because I already paid for the last month of service with my old provider so It was 3 weeks before I activated it. When I got the phone in the mail I had a problem activating it so I went to a Boost mobile authorized dealer a few miles from my house. They had the same phone for only $29 with an instant rebate. So I was a bit pissed that I spent an extra 120 bucks. But ow well. It was my fault for not checking (and I was past the 14 day return period).
I paid for my service and called 30 days later to make sure I would receive the $40 credit for that month's bill. There was none and I was told that the promotion was over when I ordered my phone. I told them it was not and that it says I have a $40 credit on the form sent with the phone. I was given an address to mail a copy to. I did and paid the bill thinking that I would be credited the next month. I call the next month and was told that I was past the promotion date and I told them I mailed a copy of the receipt. She said they did not receive it. I spoke to a supervisor who repeated the same crap - that I ordered the phone after the promotion was over. I read the promotion from the very receipt that they sent me and asked her for an email address so I could scan it and send it to her. She said they do not have an email to send to. WTH?
This went on for about 2 more months to no avail so I just gave up. But then calls would drop and an old school message would say something like "the number you have called is not in service, please try the number and call again" or something like that. It would do that about 3 times a week while in the middle of a phone call or I would get a beeping tone sometimes and then the call would drop. Customer service is horrible and they just read from a script. After about 10 months, I am done and buying a new phone and service with another company today.

Returned to the store where phone was bought who has nothing to do with. They have to go by the franchise owner's rules. Talk to customer service at the store because my phone didn't work. Very nice. Said I would have one in 2 days. Ok. So I waited 5 days no package so I called their wonderful customer service to get a tracking number for FedEx. Well we went round and round for about 30 minutes. She had all my info, said it was shipped but no tracking number. I said "You can't ship a package without one." I know this because I was in shipping for 15 years. So I call back next day same thing - runaround. Ask for Mgr. "Sorry we are so busy. It would take too long." Ok so he says FedEx has the number. I told him "You cannot ship to FedEx without one." I take FedEx number call them and we both had a pretty good laugh about shipping anything without a tracking number.
Ok so this is day 6 and no sim. Call again. And argue with someone. For 1 hour with hold times on my sister's phone. Finally they decided Nov I can have the shipping number. FedEx again the number is for freight containers. I am very UPSET NOW. She felt sorry for me and looked up my name and address. Found it was going to be there on the 7th. Package came wrong card. Bear with me. It gets better. Go back to the store. They call them now they say I have to wait another 5 to 7 days. Well I did lose my temper then and said I wasn't leaving without a phone.
What company doesn't know you don't need a tracking number. Then sends you the wrong card. Do they think people don't know they are allowed to track any package that ships UPS, FEDEX, POST OFFICE, DHL. Come on. The guy at the store gave me a phone in the back to use until I get another card but that was not the big shots that own all these little Co. They could have cared less. The people at the store are so nice but I will never deal with those incompetent people again. I drove about 30 miles to that store. Lost phone service for 7 days. Was never offered a free month of service or even half I paid for this month. Thanks Boost Mobile big time franchise owners for treating everyone else like dirt. Hopefully they know. I don't care if you're 10 dollars cheaper. BACK TO MY LAST CO. I GO. AT LEAST I CAN GET RESPECT FOR 10 DOLLARS.

I had service for about a month with Boost Mobile Service and while the phone service was OK, the data was VERY slow. After a certain point of data usage (after your data is used up) instead of just slowing down, Boost totally cuts you off. However, the worst thing about the company is that they will not issue refunds regardless of whether you received service or not. I canceled my account with Boost to switch to another company and although I had prepaid, I had cancelled my service way before the start of my next monthly service. Boost was adamant about NOT refunding my money due to their "rules and regulations". So in essence, they're just keeping my money for nothing. However, none of that has anything to do with the crappy phone and the crappy service it receives. Waste of time!!!
By the time you power on the phone, the 4GB of internal storage shrinks to 1.4GB. By the time you install a couple of your own apps and take a few pics, consider the free phone completely useless. At one point I couldn't even open my texts or make a call. Again, I'll take the wrap, you get what you pay for. My bad again. As for data, unless you have unlimited 4G, that's more like 3G, at best, if you dare exceed your data you can expect to have good old memories of dial-up. Really. I have been with Boost Mobile for two years now. During those two years, I have lived in 4 different cities. I haven't had decent service in ANY of those cities. My phone is constantly dropping calls and I'm never able to use my data. I had to get Internet through my cable provider because I get no data connection on my phone in my own home. I know my service isn't going to be superior because I'm not paying for a top-notch company, but when I download a free calling app and get better service than I do through the service I am paying for... that becomes a problem. To add insult to injury, my phone itself has had its fair share of problems as well. Needs a reboot daily, doesn't read my SD card (which is needed because my phone has a very small memory), and barely holds a charge these days.
As for their customer service: complete joke! My husband needed a new phone because his third Boost phone stopped working. He came across a great deal from Cricket and decided to switch. When he called to get his account number to make the switch, the representative refused to give him his account number! He needed that account number in order to keep his current number and they would not provide it. The funny thing is his number wasn't a Boost phone number to begin with, it was a Page Plus number. I bought a refurbished Samsung Galaxy s3 phone from Boost Mobile on Cyber Monday for a pretty good deal. I was excited as I've been needing a new phone for quite some time (their lower model phones only last maybe a few months). Well... The phone was defective! :( I bought it online and on their website as they state all their refurbished phones are CERTIFIED & work like new... this one had a battery drain problem and would turn off when making calls. You could literally sit and watch the battery drain a percent a minute. This happened as soon as I activated it so it was obviously a defective phone. They first sent me to Samsung who wanted $70 to fix it but why should I have to pay for a phone to be fixed that's been CERTIFIED to work like new?! I FINALLY got to a manager (I was seriously trying to get a hold of one for 4 hours - I'm dead serious) & the best they could do was return the phone and give me my $ back.
I wanted a replacement because I wanted to keep the deal I got so I had to wait for corporate to approve replacing the phone in which they didn't and the best they could do was waive the shipping of me sending it back. I still have to wait about 2 weeks to get my money back too which just frustrates me even more. Not to mention the SAME day I got this phone, we had the massive shooting in San Bernardino about a mile from where I work. This just escalated me even more because now my city has a terrorist attack and I'm with an unreliable phone AND a single mom with two kids.
Boost Mobile already has HORRIBLE service. I literally drop calls at home and work (the only 2 places I'm ever at!!) So this just did it for me. I went to Re-Boost today with a $40 card (I usually used the $35 cards but they no longer carry those at the store here) and got that all taken care of, only for their site (and their automated support) to tell me that because the card was $5 OVER my normal monthly amount. I had to pay for two months in order to activate my service (it was also saying my account was overdue even though my service only JUST ended).
It took forever going through a lot of menus and headache to get through to a real person on their customer service line, and when I finally did I was told that because I had paid $5 over I would have to upgrade to a new phone (which means more money; there’s no way they're giving me that for free) OR pay for two months to keep my service. This sounds like a huge scam to me. How does paying $5 MORE than I owed mean I owe them MORE money? How can they keep my service off if I paid MORE than what was due?

I normally have my service on autopay. Well I lost that card and when I tried to input a different card with plenty of $$ it was "declined". I thought it had to be mistaken so I tried multiple times. No luck. So I called my bank. They showed multiple approvals and almost immediate refunds to and from Boost Mobile. Well this has now hung up about 300.00. I cashed this morning and there was not one thing that they would do to help me turn my service back on without giving them another $50.00.
I have been a customer for over a year. Always last on time and have bought a few of their phones. Not only would they not help by giving me any kind of compensation for holding 300.00 from my account, they refused to give me the unlock code so I could move my business elsewhere. I am NEVER going back to them. I'd rather pay the same amount to a company that has much better service, better internet and is willing to help and recognize when they have made an error. This is absurd and I can't brokenness. It was so difficult for me to GIVE THEM MY MONEY. So off to Verizon I go.

This company is one of the worse companies to ever come around. I personally have had several phones from the company (stupid me right?). Right now I have the ZTE BOOST MAXX and I've had nothing but troubles with it. It's been replaced 4 times on my money!! It now needs replaced again and I refuse to do so because it's the phone company's trashy phone. I don't receive half, if any at all of my text messages. I don't receive half of my phone calls. The company has trouble shot it several times and it will be fixed for a couple days then right back to the same old stuff.
The company offered me a throw away phone to replace it. I've personally spent 700$ (buying it when it first came out, replacing the screen once, & 3 replacements) on this trash and they want to give me a phone that they choose even though I'm a 6 year committed customer and stuck through all the other crappy phone's they had to offer. I now will be switching to a different company and WILL NOT refer anyone else to this company. The least they could have done was offer a higher end phone and not their throw away phones.

Tech has heavy accent and then hangs up on you every time you get to a new screen. We couldn't get AOL to work or any of our wi-fi devices. Called them Sunday to cancel and send back. They said you have to call the business office weekdays 8-5. We called and asked for our $50 refund for the month. They said that there would be no refund as their computer says coverage is good in my area. We said it doesn't help if the equipment does not work. So we called our credit card to stop payment only to find out we have 2 $50 charges from Boost. Needless to say, we are extremely unhappy with all of it.

So I called customer care and the agent told me they were updating their system and it would be working the next day. The next day came and I noticed I wasn't able to receive or get any text messages from my bank that would normally send my balance to me or transaction history. I would also get prescription reminder refills from Rite Aid and Walgreens and that was not able to come as well. In addition I would also get a text alert from the school regarding important messages about my kids. All of these type of text messages use a five digit number called shortcodes and these were blocked since the update.
After several phone calls of me advising boost that there was a problem they continued to blow me off and say they were resetting the phone and it would work the next day. I told them my son's phone and my boyfriend's phone both were not working as well and they also have boost but they would not listen. I am long overdue for a switch, and I am just tired of dealing with faulty phones, horrible customer service, and paying for the newest phone, just to stop the glitches for a while. This phone, which is an LG Volt generation 1, stopped updating completely. It's still at version 4.4.2. It is an affordable price, but it is not worth your time. Changing carriers this upcoming week. Stay away. You'll be glad you did.

The auto boost signup didn't work and my credit card was charged $40 in June & July. Since June, I've been on the phone with 6 different people about the refunds I am owed and getting the auto boost signup correct. I bought a phone for 100 dollars with Boost about a year ago and had been paid 7.00 per month for the insurance. On 7/13/15 I lost my phone and called Boost to make a claim. After 2 hours on the phone, they told me that I had to pay $100 to replace my phone! The same price that I had paid for it, a year ago. On the Boost mobile website the price of the phone is now 50.00. I told the Insurance company (eSecuritel) that Boost is allied with, "why do I have to pay you 100.00 when I have already paid the insurance for a year, and when the price of the phone is now 50.00?" They said that they charge you the "50% of the manufacturer price, and that the value of my phone was 260.00".
You can pay insurance on your phone for 2 years, and when you make a claim, they will still go by the manufacturer's price from when the phone was made. Your phone might be worth 10.00 and the insurance will still charge you the price of the manufacturer from when your phone came out on the market. My phone's price is only 50.00 through Boost, but they were charging me 100.00 to replace it. You see the fraud? If you don't believe me, call your insurance and pretend that you are making a broke/lost device claim, see if you like what they will charge you as the deductible.

I called Boost today and after they fixed the mistake they made that cost me a job that I was waiting all morning for I spoke to a "supervisor" and she was willing to give me is a day credit. A day credit, really? They messed up and I have to pay for it? I asked for a month credit but she said that she can't. I tried writing a review on Boost Mobile's website about their service, but they would not let it pass their "screening" because they do not want anything but "awesome and "okay" reviews on their website. Their service is terrible. The data cap is very inaccurate. There were a few instances where I was capped and when I re-upped my service, but the data cap was not removed so I could use my high speed data. The customer service gives you the runaround like all customer services you call do. I have since left Boost Mobile, but my mother is still with them and she constantly complains about her lack of signal strength indoors and spotty signal strength outdoors, but for some reason I have not been able to convince her to switch services. I have been a reliable and loyal Boost-mobile customer since 2009, but no longer. I admit, the phone service provided has been impeccable. However, this past June 2015 for reasons unknown my phone was shut off. Without fail, my service has been paid monthly by automatic payment from my Visa debit card. To resolve the shut off issue, I went to my Boost-mobile online account. Seeing my Visa card was marked restricted from use, I called the customer service number listed there. A recorded confusing message came on, pitched me some phone deal, and then some button push sent me off to join a competitor's service -T mobile. Not the kind of thing you want to happen when you are already upset and using a borrowed phone. Thanks to Verizon, I searched the internet to find another Boost's number. After multiple attempts to navigate this automated call system, I finally got a live person.
Long story short, after talk with 3 reps, and 3 supervisors, while experiencing a major disruption of my work over 2 days, I was told my Visa card was restricted from further use for reasons unknown. Unable to tell me the reason for the restriction, I was told to call my bank, so I did - no issues with the bank. I again had to crawl the Boost mobile recorded system to advise the next live person there are no card issues with my bank or any other vendor. After repeated customer rep coaxing for a supervisor, ** came on. Supervisor ** claimed to now see the problem, and without an explanation, she took my Visa information for the third time with the promise service would be restored. That never happened. After 4 days of no phone service or rational explanation why my Visa was restricted, I returned to the Boost-mobile phone maze one last time.
The last person I spoke with was supervisor **. He apologized for **'s broken promise, and said my card was likely still restricted from a previous billing dispute, but I never had a dispute. When I asked for the dispute specifics, ** said I would have to email the financial department and try to get back with you in a few minutes. Bottom line, ** said the only way I will get Boost-mobile service restored is to change cards or pay in person. After 4 hours of waiting for **'s call back, it is time to admit my relationship with Boost-mobile is over. When a company works so hard to inconveniences a long time reliable customer without providing a rational cause or reason, there is something very wrong. Reluctantly, I am forced to say bye to Boost and avoid any other organizations in the Sprint company family or future family.

I switch over and everything is mighty fine for 3 months until I call them about how they ripped me off on the phone insurance they provide, a whole another story I will tell you about. So, now even though I'm paying for 10 gb of data, somehow my data speeds still get reduced within 2 weeks after paying my bill. Now let me tell you, when this happens your cell will not work for you at all. Your service will completely shut down and you will be lucky to even make an emergency call to 911! And that's no joke! It's not fair how they do this to people.
And thought it was strange it started all over again but only after I call them about the insurance fraud. I was paying almost $10 every month for phone insurance for 3 yrs. Added up that's well over what I actually paid for this phone. Anyway, I accidentally dropped it and shattered my whole screen. After 3 yrs, I decide I may want to use the insurance I had been paying for. They tell me it will be a $100 deposit when the phone itself only cost me $150.00!!! Once I actually used the phone I realized I had made a big mistake. You pay for the phone upfront, and of course there is a no return policy at the store. I found out later if you buy online you can get your money back within 14 days, but the stores are independently owned and operated and so Boost will not support what the store owners do. I never got more than one bar on this phone, and I live in Indianapolis.
Their network is very poor at best. I tried to take the phone back and the store owner was cold and could care less. They just sell products and take your cash. Then I was told that it was an issue with Microsoft and then I was told that it was an issue with my computer. After doing everything including troubleshooting with Microsoft as well as with the manufacturer of my laptop, everything was fine on my end.
When I told this to the second person that I spoke in customer care, they finally escalated it to technical services, however technical services denied it's server on several occasions. My qualms with Boost Mobile and they knew that their server has been down and did not want to tell their customers which if their customers/clients are number one, this is in total opposition of what their model for their vision is. Today I damaged my phone and was in need of a new one. A replacement phone. I telephoned My Boost insurance carrier at 844-534-3099 and told them of the problem. The gentleman on the phone, the manager who said his name was ** and identified himself as the manager of the "store". He told me that the retail price of my phone was $269. He stated that my insurance had a $100 deductible. I asked him why this is not explained to me the time I purchased the phone and insurance. He stated that the deductibles are based on the cost of the phone. As well as the particular device that is insured. So I told "you mean to tell me that I pay seven dollars a month for insurance and $269 for my phone. Now, for a phone that I can buy for $49 $39 or $100, I have to pay $100 to have my phone replaced."
I informed him that this was an older model phone and not worth the $269 retail. He stated that that was just the way things are. I told him that there is something very unethical about this whole procedure. Any time you pay $269 for a phone then have to pay seven dollars per month for insurance, you have paid for the phone almost twice, if you include the hundred dollars deductible.
This insurance is a complete rip-off. At no time of purchase when you purchase your Boost mobile phone are you informed that there would be deductible. It is simply stated that the insurance is a protection in case anything happens to your phone if it is lost, broken, or stolen. It appears that the deductible is at their discretion so that they do not really have to pay for the phone that they are replacing. If you are getting a phone that you bought initially, the depreciation replacement price of that phone takes it to the full price of your deductible or less.
With so much telephone competition out there these days, it is amazing to me that companies would try such an obvious rip-off to all consumers. The gentlemen continued to repeat to me that this is the same as a deductible on a vehicle. Was that meant to be funny? You don't have to be ** to know that if your deductible was either the full price or half the price of your automobile, none of us would have that kind of insurance! I think Boost and their carrier need a class-action lawsuit for misrepresentation. There is no way any consumer would purchase this kind of insurance if they knew "upfront" that there was a deductible of half of the entire price of the phone. Can we all say BAD FAITH.

I was not going to pay $647.00 for a cell that goes to a red fuzzy screen and shuts down. She got rude with me and said I would have to bring it in to have it tested. We get it and take it back to Boost to have it reactivated only now she says she has to get a different sim card for the cell which will have to be mailed to me and will take 10 working days. I get a phone call from Boost a week later stating my address is saying invalid to send. This is only the beginning of my nightmare! I finally get the sim card and call Boost to activate it once again only this time it says plug into my home computer to finish activating my iTunes account. They have tried to help me in any way they can. I called Boost and kept getting disconnected. Talk to 6 different customer service reps.
Finally after two days of trying to activate my cell the rep says we can return the cell for another or get our money back. When I told her the store would not do it for us and asked that she call that store to make sure we could because it was 100 miles round trip for us to drive. She said she would and if there was any problem she would call us back. We get the store and the sales rep once again says she will not give us our money or give us another cell. I was with my previous cell phone provider for 12 years and never had this much of a problem over two dollars. Trust me I don't have my hand out ever. Trust me that two dollar waiver was a nail in the coffin. The phones are junk and have no memory. I have no idea why this company can still operate. I am on a $45 a month plan. To pay it at the store is $60. Wow that's a little steep.

I'm writing a complaint in regards to your service. I've been a loyal customer of 5 years and your data service is now absolutely terrible. Being a college graduated I.T. person myself pursuing my CISSP, the statement "If you're part of the small minority of subscribers who reach the threshold, you will continue to have data access but your data speeds will be slowed to 2G speeds for the remainder of your monthly plan" is exceptionally hard to believe in the context of "small minority". While I may be a very small minority of your customers, I can certifiably guarantee you there is plenty of 18-28 year old individuals blasting away on 4G streaming 720-1080p videos on their phone everyday. I am speaking from experience as many of my friends are ripping away at Spotify, Pandora, Youtube every single day.
I was able to chew through 2.5GB in the past 2-3 days since I renewed my plan simply streaming Youtube videos. Not to mention you now throttle the service down to 2G? I probably would have stuck around if you throttle down to 256kB and possibly upgraded to the 10GB plan. 2G however, that is absolutely ridiculous. I have an extremely hard time believing that any of this has anything to do with mitigating network congestion - and even if that was the case, Sprint and their exceptional profit margins should spend some money upgrading their network.
I'm well aware the frequencies are being filled up and within a few years it could become a serious issue, however I find it hard to believe at the current moment in time it's such an issue that you can't offer unlimited service and your competitors can. MetroPCS which is a subsidiary of T-Mobile - which I'm sure you're aware, offers 60GB of true unlimited 4G LTE data for 60$ a month. Now, when your competitor is offering true unlimited data, why aren't you? They certainly have my money now.

That's how I am texting now! I spent a lot of money on these phones from LGs to Samsung Galaxy to ZTE LTE and others. It's sad and now I have to spend again and I have lost contacts because of this. I also have never been able to talk and get on the internet like other services! You can check my info and see how many phones I bought. Not dirty phones from Boost. I may have to switch. I wouldn't recommend Boost Mobile to anyone. I am not the type of customer to complain I normally just deal with a retailer if service is somewhat tolerable. I paid my bill online three days ahead. After I submitted my payment that's when I was notified that boost mobile was having technical difficulties. Everything appeared to be going good given I was contacted by a rep stating that after technical difficulties online have resolved that my money would post to my account. I got a text message on my cell phone that my bill was due.
I got this message a day before my bill was due. Confused because I thought this problem would be resolved and the money was still out of my account I called Customer Care. That's when the nightmare started. I was cussed out by one supervisor and the other reps just bounced me back and forth to the payment processing dept. I actually had a rep to tell me the reason why they bouncing me back and forth is because they are denying a 5 day credit on my account even though it's been clarified that this money was taken out of my account by boost mobile.
I was asking for an extension because after talking with my bank they stated due to the hold that boost had on the money that it wouldn't be release until 5-7 business days. I just didn't want my service interrupted which did happen. I used that time that my phone was disconnected to find another cell phone provider. I have called BoostMobile several times and the outcome is always the same. I'm not the only customer with this problem. I have never really paid attention to the "Text Counter" (looks like this: 1/165), which let's you know how many characters you have left in you text before it will break your message down into a second or third message. Until now. What I have realized is that the "counter" is ridiculously inaccurate... so inaccurate it would seem intentional. And since this counter helps determine how people are billed with their "limited text" plans, it seems to be an act of fraud.
Here's an example--a message to my friend Ryan. (1/2) U coming by today? Note that the only available answers are: "y (2/2) es", and "yes, in a few". I don't write the questions, sorry. You'll notice how message (1/2) is only.allowed about 60 characters before it gets split into a second message, and the character counter showed 160 characters had been used in (1/2), which is obviously incorrect.
I have also noticed that the character counter will jump by 10 or 20 when I'm only pressing one letter. I have also noticed (and have on video), the character counter will, on occasion, during a long message, jump from say, 45/160 to 135/169 just by hitting "return" to advance to the next line. If I delete this text a few times, the counter eventually corrects itself, as if it were some rare glitch. A glitch which of course is not noticed by 99% of the users, so over billing runs rampant. How many people actually count how many text characters they send each month? I would like to mention that I am on an "unlimited talk/text/data" so this over billing does not affect me. It is still wrong, and needs to be addressed.

He paid CASH. It's illegal to charge more than 4% surcharge on credit card purchases so how is it legal to charge 8.5% and 6% respectively on CASH PAYMENTS? I was livid when he explained this to me! Oh, and let's not forget that the charge is not shown as a convenience fee on the receipt. It shows my bill as being $48 and his as being $38. Very sneaky indeed. They just have a sign on counter staying this "convenience fee" is on all cash, debit and credit card purchases.
He has sent an email to NC department of commerce. I will be making some phone calls on my own first thing Monday morning as I am sure this is illegal. Tried to activate the phone but a Boost rep stated cannot activate it because I need a new chip which I will receive in 10 business days. How can I wait 10 business days specially because I depend on my phone for my work? Called again the next day and another rep activated my phone stating sometimes reps can be "lazy".
12/29/2014 - Today we returned to Apple due Boost instructions because my phone still can't receive or make phone calls. I have been a customer with Metro PCS for the past 5 years but my husband recently switched to Boost and he told me he liked it. Boost currently has a promotion of $100 for 4 phones- a family plan and you get a free phone (you'd think that is 4 free phones, right?). So, we thought this would work well with our budget especially if we could get some phones for our children. What you don't know or rather what they don't tell you is that this plan is for new subscribers only and the free phone is only for the account holder. For everyone else, you have to buy a phone.
I visited this Boost Mobile Store by KOB Wireless 3719 Austell Rd, Marietta, GA 30008 on Sun Dec 28th and the lady at the store (who I learned is the owner's wife), told me that we could get the free phones only if we were switching from a different provider. She further advised us to go buy the cheap phones from Walmart which come with a number and then we could switch the numbers over to Boost. That way my children could get one of the free androids that they have at their store. We did this and my husband went back to the store to get the plan and the phones. Long story short, they had it all wrong. Only the account holder gets the free phone, all others you have to buy. It was such a disappointment and at that time, I should have known the level of incompetence.
My husband went ahead and paid for the phone that I wanted (I wasn't interested in any of the free phones). The owner then told my husband that he didn't know how to transfer the information from my old phone over to the new one but he could go to any other Boost store for that (incompetence #2). I got home from work and I did just that- took my phone to another Boost Store to transfer my number. I was advised that I should have got a phone cover and a screen cover as a welcome to Boost and also for purchasing a phone. I realized that since the owner of the store had displayed a few incompetencies, this might have slipped his mind. I went back after the holidays on 1/2/2015. I found his wife and I told her that her husband forgot to give me a phone cover and/or screen cover. She said they don't give those out at their store. I was taken aback. I told her I wanted to return their phone because this was unfair. She refused even though the receipt didn't have anything that said No returns.
By the way, this same lady had told me that if I didn't like the phone, I had 30 days within which I could return the phone. She was rude and belligerent. She got her husband on the phone and they both started yelling at me to leave their store! I am writing to tell you that if you want a free phone or are switching service, from another provider to Boost, DO NOT GO to Boost Mobile Store by KOB Wireless at 3719 Austell Rd, Marietta, GA 30008! This store is located next to the Freds store that is closing. It's near Burlington Coat Factory on Austell Rd. After all, you can get a free screen cover and a phone cover for free at another Boost Mobile store.
I want these people to give me my free cover and screen protector or take back their phone and give me my money back. I have the receipts and they do not say NO Returns! I also want people to become aware and avoid this store. They are very bad incompetent people who just want to take advantage of people's ignorance.

I bought my first cell phone in 1998 from Sprint, kept it for two years, and then went through every wireless carrier on the market searching for one that didn't screw me over. They're all the same. My last experience was with Virgin Mobile (now owned by Sprint) in 2007 and I haven't even owned a cell phone since. Virgin was okay for a year. But when I downgraded from the $45 plan to the $35 one they tried to charge me for both in one month and flat out refused to give me a refund or credit and then turned off my service when I went apoplectic. I had to file a fraud complaint with the bank to get my money back.
So it's been seven years now I've been without a cell phone and finally decided to put my neck back on the chopping block by purchasing a new LG Volt from Boost. Now after reading the reviews here I probably won't even bother getting it activated unless I can find an alternative carrier that doesn't bend me over. I'd rather have no mobile at all than have to put up with the headaches. Thanks for sharing, people.

Since Boost Mobile changed their slow speed, it has been useless after I reach my data cap. I recently reset my account because I needed to actually get something done online. 2 days later I get an email saying I have gone over 5gb of data and now useless. I only watched 3 movies and paid some bills. This is BS!!! I am currently looking for another carrier, boost is a rip off. Good bye boost mobile, don't let the door hit you in the ** on the way out!!! By the way, been with boost over 3 years, and service has been declining. I'm done.

SO AS NOT TO BE THE FIRST TO RATE THIS JUST DON'T GET IN WITH BOOST. CALLED, FIRST THING THAT THEY ASK "DID YOU GET IT WET?" IT STARTED WHEN I GOT HOME FROM BUYING IT. BOOST IS A SCAM.

I have been with Boost for 2 years now and my actual service with Boost actually wasn't bad. Sure I would lose service in certain areas and sometimes when heading into buildings but that was pretty much what I expected from a cheap non-contract phone. My issue is when I called to say that I was planning on cancelling my phone service with Boost. They told me to just let the current month run out and don't pay the next month. That was simple enough. The problem came when I tried to call about how to get the $35 still left on my account. I called and had a hard time trying to get a hold of an actual customer rep. Finally I did and after being transferred to the wrong place department, I finally got a hold of somebody in the payment department. They told me that they have a no refund policy and when I went to go ask further questions I was hung up on. I had good things to say about Boost until this day.

I've been with this carrier for years and just bought a new warp 4g zte in July 2014 and at present is on the 10 GB data plan. After 2 months data connection problems. Their reason was that they are upgrading the network which lasted the whole month of October. My 10 GB of data is used up in the 1st 7 days even though I don't watch but 3-4 movies... then it's basically cut off to where I'm always getting no network connection or cannot connect to the server. I can't even get 4g anymore even when I do have G's left. Boost mobile needs to stop ripping off paying customers... We put out $... Give us good service.

I was a Boost customer from the year 2009 just until 6 months ago. The reason I switch services as I was trying to have an LG G2 and that is a handset that was not able to be put on their service but as far as any other phones I've had which was entirely every Samsung Galaxy made and a few others I would not mention they all work flawlessly. I recommended the service to everyone. I never had any problems with the payments, customer service was awesome and anyone who has a sour taste in their mouth about this company, I believe that's just their personal experience.
Overall the majority I would think like Boost Mobile or they would not still be in business and if you have complaints and you don't like it stop trying to taint everyone else's mind and make your own decisions and keep them private, thank you. Only tell me stuff about the service that has relevance to the way it works and if I'm going to have hiccups in the way the service works, do not go off the company, do not dog the employees and do not dog the service. Sounds like a personal problem to me but I'm just a consumer trying to give some feedback. Anyway all in all, don't listen to no one. Use Boost, listen to the people who told you it's good because it is good and it's the cheapest around except for Net10. They're also very cheap and highly, highly awesome to be recommended. Thank you, have a nice morning. Now I will use my android Samsung Galaxy S5 on the Boost network. Thank you. This message was sent on the Boost network.

I signed up for Boost Mobile's unlimited everything plan that had no speed cap on my data... I then joined their shrinkage plan lowering my $55 plan to $40... Then, without my permission, Boost changes my unlimited plan and informs me that they have capped my data speed at about 2.5 gigs. Now every time I go over the cap, my service turns to complete crap.. calls dropped all the time, web pages and images won't load, videos stuck loading, etc. Boost won't return my requests to return my service and their customer care reps even agree with me that it is not fair, but can't (or won't) do anything about it. The kicker to all this is that Boost is now offering their $55 dollar plan with a 10 gig cap while now treating me like I just signed up for their $40 plan, essentially taking any benefit to the shrinkage plan away from me and the $55 plan I signed up for. I am hoping for a class action lawsuit against Boost Mobile and Sprint for doing this and nail all the service providers for antitrust collusion capping data speeds so they can gouge customers for more money to get unhindered service back.

I have been a customer for years mostly from being a poor college student and sticking with the familiar. They have the worst customer service I've ever dealt with and very unprofessional. They actually made it impossible to make one's phone a WiFi hotspot.. Can't even root it to gain access. Too much security. They offer WiFi hotspot access with no additional data for $5.00 a day..FIVE DOLLARS A DAY. I reluctantly purchased it for the evening to get work done, surprise, it doesn't work. After a bit of investigation they no longer offer it but still give the the option to purchase it. Also no customer service available to help. Seeking a new cell phone provider without contract that allows hot spot access at a decent rate or better yet free since I'm already paying for said data.. Please email me. **. Thanks.

I have had Boost ever since Verizon hosed me on a bunch of charges when I lived on the Tn Ky line. Sure they have their flaws but no company is perfect. Overall I have been pretty happy with them and I am hard to please. Sure their tech service is overseas and sometimes hard to understand but those guys are pretty smart if you are patient with them, they get it resolved. As far as the phones I buy mine at BEST BUY they have a fantastic geek squad warranty. They take your phone, confirm the problem and tell you to go get a new one, no loaners no wait time. Just pick up a new one and go.
So it’s not boost mobile fault if you have problems with the phone itself or the store you bought it at. I don’t have any problems with data but I am on an old plan and didn’t upgrade and as far as the initial price of the phone, well do the math on what Verizon or other contract carriers charges when you don’t call another Verizon phone or go over the data limit you pay dearly for that phone. So for $40.00 a month, boost is a pretty good deal. I'm planning on buying a new galaxy s5 soon waiting on BEST BUY to run a sale.

I tried to switch from AutoPay to Manual pay. Website confirmed the change. Four days later, Autopay kicks in anyway. When I called, they said, "Yes the change went through," but only after the money had been withdrawn. Nothing I've seen on the service contract or on the website says that they can delay changes (after the website indicates that it's done!) until they make sure they take your money anyway. They did (conveniently) mention that if I had called, there would have been no delay (of course). Coincidental timing? Possibly, but unlikely. One rep even told me there was a way I could have the money dropped into my account, and reclaim the majority of it into my bank account and I could pay by the day. Of course, the people actually in charge of Payment Processing denied this was even remotely possible. My bank has promised to "have a word" with them but in the meantime I told them if this is the way they treat their customers, not to expect any future business from me. Ever. On a side note, I've known of other companies that gladly refund money over less, because they actually value their customers and want to leave a good experience in their minds in case they might come back. Not Boost.

I arrived with my family to price iPhones. Upon asking about pricing and Gig info, Stephanie ** had an attitude as if she was bothered with the questions. I asked about the displayed phone which had a different price (lower) than the price she stated. It was explained that the storage was different. We ended up leaving the store due to lack of interest to us as customers, because Stephanie had this blank staring expression upon her face. We went to another Boost store because we wanted to get this phone for my daughter. This store didn't have any stock.
We regretfully returned to the Buena Vista store. I decided to go to the other salesperson. She told us that she could not help us with purchasing the phone because Stephanie needed to get the commission. My husband stated, "Ok well we will leave." He walked out the door, upset. I stayed at the counter and this lady told me "bye". I said "So you're refusing to help us with purchasing the phone?" "Stephanie can help you," she replied. I ended up purchasing the phone out of love for my daughter. I want to add that my family is non-traditional. I am black and my husband is white. I and my husband feel the lack of respect and devaluing us as customers had a lot to do with our experience with Boost. The consequence will be us not returning to the store and possibly changing cell phone providers.

Boost sends you an email saying after you use the amount of speed they give, they will slow down your speed. Well! It might as well read we are cutting it off after you reach that point it stalls, delays and at the end the icon is still making circles while you are patiently waiting. But you will be waiting and waiting and waiting. You suppose to get what you paid for okay they reduce speed from 4g. Okay I was expecting 3g, 2g speed but it's worse than that - it's no G most of the time. If you're lucky you get 1G but 15 minutes of your time and half of a 2 minute clip that won't play all the way through.

I bought the newest android phone boost has from HSN and when received I called to activate, tell the operator I didn't get cell phone service at my house. She said no problem. I did what she said, wrote the phone number she gave me on the box the phone came in, with the pin #. She said my phone would activate as soon as I went in to a cell phone area and turned on the phone. It didn't work. We kept trying for several days. On the fifth day I called back, after 30 min. to 1 hour I was told I had to call back while in a cell phone area and try again.
Day 6 we called from the cell phone area in town and still couldn't get it working. Boost and I come to the same idea that the phone was defective. Day 9 the phone with all receipts and original box was return on a preprinted return label to HSN. I then called boost to cancel the account and the return of my first month fee returned to me. They needed my phone number, but that was on the box I just ship and because we never got it activated we don't know the number and hadn't written it down anywhere else. We then could access our account with our serial number which was on the phone or box. Which is in the mail, the same problem as the account. So they can't look up my account any other way, I can't get my refund of $55.00.
