    We had to submit 2 claims because my son shattered the back of his phone. The best option in why we had to submit a claim was “screen repair”. Well the repairman came to our house on the scheduled day and time and informed us that he can’t repair a shattered back. He admitted that Asurion’s wording needed to be changed because this happens quite a bit. After he left we had to call again to replace the phone. The phone arrived within 3 days and the original claim was cancelled. All in all, well worth the cost of the insurance.

    I had a cracked screen, just wanted to get the screen replaced but ended up with a phone replacement. I took care of the claim online and got the replacement the next day. Transferring data from old phone to the new was a lengthy process (photos and music were large files) but easy and the rep that helped me was wonderful and patient. Phones are expensive, I recommend insurance. You may not need it but if you do it’s certainly worth having it.

    As of right now we are on day two of waiting for our claim to be approved. We just purchased iPhone 10S’s and got the extra insurance a few weeks ago. Since then my husband dropped his phone in the lake. The first representative I talked to said I would get the replacement the next day, this changed by the end of the call to me filling out an affidavit and sending a copy of my license. Not a problem, submitted those online and got a 3 hour window. 3 hours go by and I’m still waiting so I call and the next rep says it’s in review with an auditor for the next 24 hours and there’s nothing that can be done. Ok still patient and wait..

    24 hours go by and I do click to chat. The new rep says my claim will be ready at 4:08 CST today. Ok more than 24 hours and my husband had no phone but sure. That time comes and goes. I then did click to chat again and nothing. The rep now says they can’t tell me how long it will take. It’s now 9:35 at night a day after filing the claim. I have no clue if/when it will be approved and no one can give me a straight answer.

    My representative was nice. I dislike the attempts to upsell me, but that isn't her fault, it's the world we live in of the constant push for money and shoving of ads down our throats. If a company ever advertised themselves as no ads/no upsell, I think I'd happily pay double for such a service. Anyways, she was very nice and patient.     Horrible horrible experience! Bad customer service. Takes longer than stated. I lost my iPhoneX at a carnival. I had called Sprint and cancelled my phone line. They also said to make a claim with Asurion (got denied 3 times). Mind you it's been 2 and half weeks since the claim and it's been 2 and a half weeks that I've been phoneless. I went directly to the Sprint store and filed another claim with Asurion (this time with help by the Sprint staff). It's been over 24hrs and the claim is still on review. I don't know what to do now. First and last time I get any type of service with Asurion.

    Contacted them for repair on an iPhone 6 with a battery issue. The cost of the insurance is $15/mo for "complete" coverage. Was told all/any repair or replacement small part is $115. A new battery on eBay $30. It’s a rip-off after paying all that money per month for 2 years!!

    I've had my iPhone replaced 3 times in the past month. Each time the phone is defective in some way. Usually it's a touch screen that will not work 99% of the time. This company is a scam and shouldn't exist. I will be canceling my insurance, buying a new phone, and going through AppleCare. It's pathetic this company flooded this website with so many fake positive reviews. I know numerous people who have been screwed by this scam.

    Asurion replaces your device with a re-manufactured phone that is nothing close to the manufactures specs. The first phone I received wouldn't register touch on the screen in random areas. The second phone they sent the vibration would stop work at times. I called and complained and the lady told me she would make a note for a new phone to be sent out but the 3rd that I received was another re-manufactured phone by Valuetech. The screen on this one has a really pinkish purple hue to it. It's very noticeable when I hold it next to my wife's phone with the same screen on it. I don't believe I will ever pay for a 3rd party insurance again. Next time I'll buy straight from Apple and pay for the apple care plan.

    I signed up for Asurion insurance through ATT with my iPhone X. I was told that there would be no deductible for a lost or stolen device. Six moths later, I lost my phone while kayaking and went to the ATT store to replace it. They set up the online claim for me, but I could not complete it because a confirmation needed to be sent to my phone. You know, the one that is in the bottom of the river. I chatted with an Asurion agent online who told me to call ATT, while I was standing in an ATT store. That agent connected me back to Asurion over the phone. FOUR times I was tossed back and forth between ATT and Asurion. Finally the phone agent told me I would be billed $220 and receive my phone the next day. I was upset about the charge I hadn't been warned about but I moved on, just excited I would finally get a phone. Well, I never did. I chatted with an Asurion agent online who was absolutely no help.

    I finally borrowed a friends phone to call in just to find out that the claim had never been completed and I needed to send in an affidavit and copy of my driver's license. WHY was I not told about this when I spent two hours in the ATT store trying to figure this out and WHY would I ever be billed for a claim before it is even completed?? I still have no phone and no way to fill out the affidavit since I need access to my email (Gmail needs to confirm your identity with a text to my phone). Avoid Asurion at all costs, I am completely at a loss and I cannot find a single agent who is willing to help me.

    I bought the Apple device from Verizon, they charge me insurance program for 13$ per month. So my device screen became cracked, I apply for Asurion insurance and I got the news that I need to pay deduct payment of 199$. It’s very bad, but I think ok, I will pay, but they also telling me that I will receive the refurbished device.. I have question, what mean refurbished device? I bought brand new IPAD 11 inch pay 3 month insurance, and stay ok with deduct payment 199$ and you send me refurbished device???? I pay a lot of money I receiving ref device. Its look like fraud, big fraud, I don't recommendation this company.

    I will also tell to my friends about this situation and tell them for remove this insurance. I also tell in our office there is 21 persons who use this insurance for remove it!!!! I understand if I have old device or 2 year device, but I have new model, I bought this iPad few month ago, and they tell me that I will receive the ref..I will save more money if I will take care myself. I will lose maybe little more but I will receive new. NO REF and will be free insurance payment 13$...just think, you give your device and 199$ and receive ref, which will not work good 100%... If device was repaired 1 time screen, it will work not normal, if the Asurion fraud me at giving me ref device they will put 100% not original screen, because there is no original screens!

    So I purchased a Lawn Mower from WalMart. The cashier asked if I would like a protection plan for 3 years that would cover the Lawn Mower if anything went wrong. Of course that is a No Brainer so I said Yes, was not told if anything SPECIFIC went wrong I was told if ANYTHING went wrong so of course 2 years and 11 months go by and now my mower will not start. I am a stickler for preventive maintenance so when Asurion tells me that it is because I have put bad gas in my mower or let the mower set with gas in it which has damaged the Carburetor it is hard for me to believe since I drain my mower each fall and put fresh gas in it every summer.

    Asurion shame on you for False Advertising and Walmart Shame on you for not training your employees to exactly know about what a Scam this Protection Plan is.... So basically I not only wasted 20 bucks for a Protection Plan that is worthless but if you figure all the time I was on the phone waiting for help for the 5 days I was back and forth with Asurion that was another 4 hours and since I make 20 bucks an hour basically I am out $100 Dollars. The brochure clearly states "If your product breaks it will be fixed, replaced, or you will be reimbursed." What a Big Load of Poo Poo!!!

    When we chose the replacement phone there was no indication that it was on back-order. It was frustrating waiting and getting a run-around from different workers.     The replacement phone that was initially sent to me was a restored phone with an inferior display. My malfunctioning phone display is much much superior with a sharp, crisp display. I went to AT&T store and they tried to get the replacement phone display to improve but was unable to.     I started the claim process online about 2 weeks after an employee's phone was stolen. I was told that it would be a while before the use of credit card funds to pay the deductible would be approved, so I had to wait about 50 additional days before completing the claim process online. I believe Asurion allowed 60 days. I never had to talk to anybody. I just answered simple questions and clicked Next a few times. Ultimately, I found that the deductible is charged to our AT&T bill. We received the replacement iPhone 7 Plus the next day. The box says "AT&T Certified Restored" so I'm sure the phone isn't new, but it does look new. It came with earbuds, a Lightning to 3.5mm headphone adapter, Lightning charge cable, and a USB wall adapter. All appear to be genuine Apple. I highly recommend Asurion; they made it so easy.

    Overall experience was great, however, I was speaking to rep #1 and in the middle of verifying my email for confirmation/tracking purposes, an automated system kicked on & lost my call to that rep. So I had to get a separate rep on the phone to complete the call & update the email acct. No big deal though! First rep said it might take 1-2 business days. Rep #2 said it could be 3-5 because my replacement phone was on "back-order". However I received the replacement phone on the morning of the very next day. Very satisfied! 10/10! Would recommend. :)

    I’ve had many many iPhones and replaced each one myself but was told I had to use the service to guide me through the service. I always just put in old SIM card and back up from iCloud latest backup. I was told I could not do this and had to use new SIM card and had to set up replacements phone as a NEW DEVICE. I lost all my contacts and all my photos of the past 10 years. After wasting an hour with this disaster I another 25 minutes for a supervisor and by then I had redone this a the way I always go - the supervisor was Brain and he was knowledgeable and helpful. This is not a review about him.

    Hi Stev, thank you for your patience in this matter. We do understand this can be frustrating. We do advise to back up the device before making any changes or switching over to your replacement device. Typically, you are asked to insert a new SIM card in order for your device to have the latest technology connecting it to your cellular service. However, you are able to use a previous Storage Device card (SD card) in order to back up old pictures or information and transfer that information to the replacement device.
