My second replacement phone seems to be working fine. The first one had a problem with the camera not functioning. Very frustrating, perhaps some better quality control is in order. Other than the failed first phone, the experience was ok.

Phone arrived fast and in great condition. Instruction were very cleared. The application process was clear and fast but it would be easier if the application didn't have to be printed out that way the process would be easier to finish. Overall good service.

I received my replacement phones within two days after claim. One thing I was not happy was that I first got a refurbished phone that was overheating. After I explained that my brand new iPhone was in fact robbed and I had it for less than one month, I finally got a new phone replacement!

My phone was stolen. I reported it to them (as well as the police), and within two days, I had my replacement. Very easy to work with. Very courteous and understanding. I would recommend them, and use them, in the future. If ever needed again.

It was as easy as 1,2,3! I used the website link that AT&T sent, completed the online form, and within seconds I received a confirmation email. The website indicated that it would take a few days and to my surprise - I received my new phone in a day and a 1/2! Asurion made replacing my stolen phone simple and convenient. Received phone in a timely manner. The phone was my grandson's phone. He had trouble getting the phone to activate. Contacted AT&T support for assistance and found out that the SIM card was already activated but not for the phone he received. Had to go to AT&T store to get a new SIM card which they activated while at the store. It works find now. Still had a good experience with getting the phone in a timely matter and getting phone to work.

The staff are very quick to handle a problem. If they ask you to put you on hold to look up something, they come back quickly. If you disagree with something they work with you to come up with a plan until you are happy with a plan.

When I bought my Samsung phone I wasn't going to buy the additional insurance. I'm glad I did because a little over a year my phone broke. Asurion took care of my problem right away. I summited the claim at 9 PM the phone was at my door the next day.

The first replacement phone was defective. Then when calling to order another phone the technician didn’t complete the transaction which made it take longer to receive the second replacement. However we got it and shipped the original phone and the first replacement (defective) phone back. Other than that everyone was helpful.

Easy process. Quick Deliver. Affordable deductible. Customer service was very helpful and made sure that the phone was activated and working properly. Even transferred us to Apple support to help with an Apple ID issue. All in all was outstanding service. And paying $115 deductible is way better than having to purchase a new phone. If you have an expensive phone, make sure you have insurance.

You did promptly replace the device that failed. I was a little surprised that I had to pay $200 (co-insurance?). That's about what Verizon offered to charge me to "Upgrade" to a new device. So, what is the purpose of paying you to insure my device?

The staff at the Oceanside/vista location on Oceanside Blvd were phenomenal. My phone decided to take a swim at Legoland on my birthday weekend. Your staff was compassionate and understanding. They guided me through the insurance claim and helped me transfer all of my info over. It became a work in progress but they were congenial, professional, and prompt in their service.

Back in 2016, I purchased a laptop (HP Omen 15", 2015 model) that came with a warranty through Asurion. From 2016-2019 this laptop worked quite well until it offed itself. It was then that I got into contact with Asurion on March 8th and began the claim process, starting the claim and sending the device in was easy. Having signed up to the text and email updates, over the next few weeks we (my mother and I) were updated on the status of the device until about 3 weeks in. We stopped receiving any contact, throughout this I received several texts saying, "Your device is almost repaired." Giving them the benefit of the doubt, we waited 2 weeks for any sort reply, before we reached out to them ourselves. It was then we learned the laptop was irreparable, and they would be offering to buy us out for 1747 USD. However, the next time we were in contact with them they changed their tune, buying us out became a replacement.
The first devices they offered us to replace my laptop were far from what my laptop was, the graphics card was lesser and there was no touch screen. It took communicating with them a few more times to make it clear that we believed those laptops were not equivalent to mine. Eventually they offered a semi-decent option (Lenovo Yoga 720, 15") and we settled with that. This Lenovo had a warranty with a company called hubX.
A few days later we received the Lenovo and for the first 24hrs it worked fabulously until we restarted it on the second day and it began a start-up loop. We attempted to troubleshoot it ourselves, trying common fixes, before reaching out with Lenovo support and in the end hubX. HubX was little to no help, eventually telling us to reach out to Asurion. So we did. It took a few days, and a few calls, for us to make it clear to Asurion what had happened and eventually they gave us a return slip to send it in.
So we sent in the Lenovo, and using the tracking number, determined it was received this past Monday. However, we never received any contact that it was received. After giving them a few days to call us, we called them today (May 23rd) and we were told they received the device and determined it could not be fixed and that the replacement department will be contacting us in the next 1-3 business days. If one were to take a look at their estimated times for receiving assistance with a broken laptop, the longest time it may take is 10-14 business days.
For anyone counting, it has taken 55 business days for me to receive a working device and at this rate we may reach the 4 month mark. I don't feel anything if not strung along and jaded. I have made an effort these past 3 months to tell anyone about what has happened and to not use Asurion for their warranties. I don't know what to do and at this point all I can do is hope I eventually am given a comparable, working laptop.

Phone disappeared while in the hospital after an accident, when it could not be found, decided to put in a claim needed the phone for work. Put the claim in through the website at 5 PM and had the phone on my doorstep by 10 AM the next morning.

I have been trying to file a claim to replace my cell phone with no success. When I got to the payment for the deductible my credit cards were all (4) rejected. These requests were all entered by an Asurion agent on the phone. However upon calling back later another agent told me I never spoke to an agent that entered the credit cards. My bank tells me they approved the request and the problem was Asurion’s. Very poor customer service with people that are not knowledgeable with solving problems.

The online application was fast and easy to complete... And the new device was shipped within a few hours with expected delivery date and time. After getting the replacement device the set up and transfer of information from the old device was explained step by step with easy to understand instructions. Even UPS did a great job. The delivery was prompt, less than 48 hours for the whole process.

Wish it could’ve been resolve when I received my first replacement device which came defected. I had to go through the back and restore multiple times and had trouble for a week since no one could hear me clearly. Not sure how I was sent a bad device. I should’ve been upgraded to a better device.

Insurance claim was difficult... Wouldn't let me upload my information. Once I got it uploaded though, it went smooth... Other than it got delayed an extra day, (FedEx's fault) but I lost about 200$ worth of work, so that sucks... Thanks for the new phone though.

They suck, don't waste your money or time with this company. I don't think I have ever been happy with their service. Buy a warranty on Amazon, at least you won't get told lies to buy a warranty. Then go to use it and they tell you new rules or a new policy. Walmart is partly to blame on my last claim, but I hold the warranty more liable since they are the ones that allow people with no knowledge to sell their service and allow them to lie to sell their service. They can just say that's not our policy. They claim it was posted and that I was given a terms and condition when I bought the tv. I never was given anything, everything was just explained at the time of purchase. I remember years ago having issues with replacement phones. They just collect money and build huge buildings for who knows what. Just look at the newest headquarters and that will show you how much they actually pay out.

After spending $240 on insurance for my cell phone, my iPhone 7's microphone stopped working. Asurion was happy to replace the phone with a refurbished one for another $250. Ridiculous, a used iPhone 7 is not worth $490. This Insurance is not only a waste of money, it's a scam. No one ever informed me of this $250 gouge until it was busted.

We have always had a wonderful experience with Asurion. Unfortunately, this time was a little different. The woman we spoke with was very nice (no problem there) but when I asked her when we would get the new phone she said tomorrow (meaning Saturday). That was not the case and we received it on Monday. We had it shipped to our home address since we thought it would be delivered on Saturday. We were fortunate that it was not taken from our mailbox. Long story short, my daughter is very happy with her phone and this is the only negative experience we've had. I will say everyone we have ever spoken with is extremely kind. Thank so much!

I spent 7+ hours dealing w/ Asurion. 10 phone calls, 3 live chats, & the submission of 3 affidavits.The staff was friendly but frequently contradicted the info given by other staff. At no time was I told that I would need to pay $225 deductible to replace a phone which sells for $195 new. Had I been told that at phone call #1, I wouldn’t have wasted 7 hours of my life and their time. The final straw was the last consultant who with impressive insincerity told me how she appreciated how valuable my time is and she wouldn’t waste any more of it. The deductible would be $225. And I could choose whether or not to continue with the claim. Well...Duh! She was the only Asurion employee who did not identify herself.

On Saturday I lost my new Galaxy S10 while mowing 10 acres of land, on a 48” zero turn mower. I checked my Total Mobile Protection coverage with Verizon, as this was a new upgrade from my S7, to be sure that coverage had been transferred to my new device prior to submitting a claim, it was active. Monday morning I got started on the Asurion website. Got just past the portion where I explained what happened to my phone and got a message that my claim was being placed on a 24 hr. review. Then I received an email informing me that I could continue my claim. I click on the email link, only to be directed back to the very beginning of the claims process.
It’s 9 a.m. now, after a weekends worth of repairs have been building up and customers are looking for a company to make repairs, I NEED A REPLACEMENT PHONE NOW!!! I call and question why is there any red tape here, I have TOTAL MOBILE PROTECTION, which basically means I’m covered no matter what happened to my phone. Apparently this is not true and I have been misled by Verizon and Asurion. I have called repeatedly to get a remedy to this, no luck. Meanwhile my business suffers the financial loss because nobody can get in touch with me. Do you think Asurion gives a hoot, I think not!!! So my friends, my best advice is to not waste your money on this scam of a company.

I have been paying insurance on all of my family's phones with the idea that if one broke we would pay less than market value for the replacement. My daughter's iPhone 6S broke recently and I started the claim. Come to find out the deductible for this phone is $150.00. The customer service representative said the phone could be refurbished or new. Since the 6s has been out for so long I assumed I would receive a refurbished one. I can buy one right off of the Verizon website for $169.00. With that said I am canceling my insurance. It was a waste of money.

We purchased a $2,300 Samsung refrigerator through Home Depot and were sold an Asurion Home Depot Protection Plan. We were promised during the purchase, and echoed here in Ts&Cs http://www.protection-plans.com/content/thd/en/MajorAppliances/Index#/terms-conditions that the unit would be replaced or a gift card given if the same issue occurred more than 3 times. We have now had 7 repair visits for the Ice Maker not making ice, and Asurion refuses to offer us the promised benefit.
This is a clear ripoff and violation of the agreement as you can see from the website, and yet Asurion has no consideration or concern. I talked to multiple supervisors (Mandy today). Was basically said "too bad" when questioned as to why they are denying the replacement benefit. Each technician has indicated that this was a legitimate problem, the same one each time, and has disclaimed the previous tech. "He didn't know what he was doing!" The tech last week was the same. It's sad that companies like this can take advantage of consumers with no repercussions.

I called again, they sent another device, no questions asked. When the new device was delivered, the other one showed up, package was opened. I returned that one with my broken device today. This company's service is absolutely a joke!!! I put a claim in to fix my phone screen. 1st appointment the technician never showed up. So I called and they could not get ahold of any technician that had my claim number and had no idea what was going on so I was forced to schedule another appointment a week later. Mind you that I have to take the day off from work to wait for a technician to come to my house and fix my phone screen. Well 2nd appointment today was a no show as well. What the heck is going on. I'm paying for a service and being denied getting it!!!
Called the office and spoke with management demanding that someone come to my house today!! They said they have no idea what the technicians do or if they are doing their job right. That it must be a problem with a shortage of phone screens???? So now I'm forced to set up another appointment. Mind you there is no phone call or communication a day ahead of time from any technicians that they will not be able to make their appointment or that they have a shortage of Samsung Galaxy replacement screens. It's pretty bad when a large company like this cannot commit to good service. I will be filling out a complaint to FCC & BBB as well because I truly feel I have been mistreated as a customer. This company offers service but does not stand behind themselves to give it to you.

The screen protector is wonderful but my screen was busted under the glass protector. But other than that it dose the job with not scratching but the glass will still bust under the covering. And when placing the warranty stated my screen busted and heard nothing on the fact that it was not supposed to be able to be busted. And mine did.

It used to be that when you had an issue with your mobile device you could walk into an AT&T store and they would make they claim. You would be in and out in ten minutes and then you would get a new device in a day or two, all said and done. NOT ANYMORE. They now hand you a pamphlet and tell you to go home a file a claim online. Well you go home and file a claim online just for it to get denied and then have to call them anyway. Then they basically give you the runaround and tell you that you have to print out paperwork and send it back in with a picture of your damaged device (not many people own their own camera), and a copy of your state ID... I'm extremely frustrated to be paying a company and still having to do all of the work. If I hear this insurance agent mentioned in conversation, I WILL share my experience. It's a joke.

I purchased a small kitchen appliance from Amazon in March 2019. I saw the option to purchase a four year warranty and added it to my cart. After 30 days, the product began to give me trouble. The Ninja Blender began to fall apart. First the handle... Then a small piece on the lid. Today I decided to test the "warranty". The uploading receipt option was not working. There was no one with whom to talk or register the problem. I will never buy another kitchen appliance or electronic product on Amazon. I walked into Bed Bath and Beyond and purchased my blender with the assurance I can come back to them with any problem. I will gladly pay a little extra than deal with a company that doesn't know if it is washing or hanging out... The stress of dealing with Asurion is too stress-filled. Asurion offers a lot and delivers nothing. My complaint is not against Amazon but that pitiful excuse of a product warranty option Asurion.

Initiated a call because received a letter stating Asurion did not receive my damaged cell phone. Advised rep that phone was mailed back in postage provided envelope on April 22, 2019 possibility it was lost or stolen. I contacted the post office (Mamaroneck, NY) they advised that at that location it has happened before with other customers, it seems courier is stealing the damaged phones. I advised to call USPS Inspection services. Rep stated penalty charge will be negated.

I received a refurbished replacement phone the end of January. After 1 month the volume down button feels stuck and won't fine-tune. Now the camera isn't working. I called and spoke to Tara and she said it sounds like damage. There was no visible damage to the phone, never been dropped. I disputed her claim and she began loudly talking over me and saying that's the policy. I didn't appreciate her tone. Not very professional.

There were lots of hoops to jump through. It was hard to communicate without phone. In addition, I lost all my data. Coverage was ok; There was conflicting info sent about replacement device, and I didn't get the right color which was a choice on the menu that was disregarded. The replacement device came with unusable earbuds, there is a short in the plug that is scary. Verdict: Acceptable but not great service at a premium price.

First representative I had was not so good. However, the next day the representative I had was great. They were understanding and offered great service making the experience the prior day forgotten. I always say that a company is made by its service and that rep did a great job, thank you!

Absolutely the worst customer service I can ever remember receiving. I am horrified that I have been paying this company for years. Used to be good, as I have had good responses in past. Filed a claim for a broken phone yesterday. Waited patiently by the computer to receive any information to complete claim. Was promised that it would be resolved within 24 hours. Hoped to expedite because needed a phone! Called 6 or more times, each time they said it was being handled and someone would get back to me within the 24 hour window. At the 30 hour window I was told that the only thing holding up my claim was that I HAD NOT TURNED OFF "FIND MY IPHONE!" (btw there were no guidelines about this) and better yet, THEY ADMITTED THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TELL ME THAT UNTIL AFTER THE 24 HOUR WINDOW HAS PASSED. This is incredible. Horrible business policy. I will be cancelling my coverage tomorrow for all six phones.

Overall great with helping activate the new phone. However the girl took down the wrong activation code and when I turned the old and new phones off I had no communication as I don’t have a landline and live alone. I had to go to Starbucks and ask to use their phone to get things sorted out.

FAST RESPONSE! From phone break to new phone in mailbox was 28 hours. Easy to return old phone and get new phone setup/activated. I highly recommend that anyone who doesn't have this insurance. Please get it. It has saved my family with 6 phones multiple times.

I placed an insurance claim for my iPhone 7. After spending 3 hours trying to activate the phone that was sent to me, Apple informed me that I had received a malfunctioning iPhone 7. Asurion would not reimburse my fee or send me a different model phone.

My phone fell out of my hands landing screen first on the ground and suffered nonrepairable cracks to the screen and body of the phone. For safety concerns and also the inability to use the screen to swipe or navigate, I submitted a claim to Asurion. They handled getting a replacement phone quite well in turn-around and quality of the replacement. I would recommend this to the next person.

I don’t know if it’s the series model of phone but I still have same issues as I did with my broken phone. I know it’s not your fault. I think it’s the model that has the issue. I want a new phone but not the bill that comes with it.

Our claim was taken care of very promptly. The process was fairly simple and we had our new device within days. The return process was just as simple. The only problem were the instructions were for a phone and we had a Gizmo watch. We ended up having to call our provider for help. Overall experience was good.

The replacement phone arrived the second day as promised. I was under the impression that Verizon would help me activate and download my phone to the replacement. They merely replaced the chip and told me I would have to go to Apple. Four Hours at Apple and I ended up buying a new phone so I no longer need Asurion as I have Apple Care. My experience with Asurion has always been prompt and I would continue to use your service if my phone was from Verizon.

Short version: I would not recommend this insurance. Long version: I recently purchased an iPhone X for $1050. I purchased Asurion Mobile Insurance for $8.99/month. The sales representative at AT&T stated this was a no deductible insurance and the device would be repaired or replaced within 24-48 hrs. I replied, "No deductible?!" The salesperson confidently confirmed there was no deductible.
Shortly after purchasing the device, it was crushed when a shelf collapsed on it. Using Asurion's website, I submitted a claim. I received an email within minutes stating, "We will contact you via email or automated message within 24 hours with next steps." I tried to access the site multiple times to see progress with my claim over the next few days without success. More than 72 hours after filing the claim, I still had not received an update from the company. I utilized their online chat, which was fast. The operator was polite, and the whole process took about 22 minutes. I am still waiting for my replacement phone. Now that I have the fine print of this insurance contract, let us see if it is worth it. Replacement "as soon as" next day. Apparently, this means within a week or more. Screen repair "as soon as" the same day. I cannot comment on this as I have no experience.
COST (for iPhone X):$8.99/mo = $107.88/yr
Screen damage cost:
Asurion = $49 + $107.88 = $156.88
Apple = $279
iCracked = $199.99 + tax
Phone Repair/Replacement cost:
Asurion = $299 + $107.88 = $406.88
iCracked = $299.98 + tax
Upgrade = $840 (upgrade is based on 80% of original cost)
Bottom line: This insurance company is good for those who expect their screen to need replaced at least once per year, and no more than once per year. Any other damage would be best serviced by a local phone repair shop. I would NOT recommend Asurion to friends or family because of the deceitful practice of not disclosing deductibles up front at point of sale. Also, I have still have no phone or ETA after 4 days.

One of the most absolutely frustrating phone and customer service experiences I have had to date. My old phone (a $400 Samsung Galaxy S8) completely stopped working so I filed a claim and was promised a new phone in 1-2 business days. Immediately after filing my claim, I was billed with a $255 deductible - keep in mind the original phone was only $400. Three days later, I call Asurion and ask for an update on shipping. Apparently shipping got delayed and no one felt the need to notify me because it was "FedEx's fault"- the employee's exact words. I got a "sorry, nothing we can do" from the people I spoke with and that was all. After 4 days of waiting, my phone finally arrived.
Let me tell you, after waiting 2 extra days and having to pay this place almost as much as the phone had originally cost, I was nothing but insulted when I opened the box only to find I had been shipped a REFURBISHED (restored) phone! (I was NEVER told/notified anywhere that I would be receiving anything but a BRAND NEW phone).
Setting up the new device over the phone was also very frustrating. They expect you to have the tools laying around to open up that tiny slot where the SIM card goes - RIP to one of my earrings. This surprised me as I know most iphones require the same means to access the SIM card, and I know most of us do not have miniature tool sets laying around. Took 30 long minutes to get to the point where the phone was halfway set up.
I am honestly beyond upset and frustrated and was definitely a big waste of almost $300. I find it funny how I did not receive my phone in the promised time frame yet I am expected to ship it back within the week, or else I will be charged up to $850 more! At this point I am very frustrated and feel as though I have wasted so much time and money. Unless I can be promised or assured of a better experience next time, I will probably just drop the insurance so I never have to go through this again.

I accessed the website easily from the Verizon website and quickly registered my claim. I didn't realize that Asurion offered the screen repair for only $29. I was prepared to pay the $199 deductible for a new phone so was relieved to have the screen repair option. I submitted the claim last night at 8 PM and was able to get an appointment today at a time that was convenient for me. A technician is coming this afternoon to our house to repair the screen. It doesn't get much easier than that!

My son's phone quit working, and they replaced it under the warranty. It came in pretty Quick, and since it was under a warranty I didn't have to pay anything. So I was very satisfied with the outcome. Especially since money gets tight, and just when you're starting to see daylight. Your phone breaks. It was nice to not worry about an extra expense.
